"A It's like a yes, like this way of kisses Next contraction. Victor is the tingler and they would have in the movie than the Tingler was actually the scene in the movie where, right where the Tingler gets loose they have in this metal box and it is up crawling. It cuts itself out of the box amount crawls out. Then it crawls up Vincent Price's Chest while he's sleeping as I recall, I haven't seen in a long time. But there's also a uh point The movie with the Tingler gets loose in the movie theater right and then goes to the projectionist office, and then you see it growing across the screen, and then suddenly it's under the seats, and that's when they do The All the stuff you're talking about, and they would all go when you go in and be like, okay, The more afraid you are, The more likely the tingle will appear in this Stevie. So great, great. That's a good one. Um yes. So you said you had a movie that we needed to talk about. We definitely do. It involves your favorite actor of all time. My favorite actor. Oh, tell him Yes. Used to be. Well, um, man, I don't know You got me on this. Please, please. No. The police is nature of my voice. Hello, Sam. Or has a new movie of someone I know. Yes, really. And unlike uncut gems, which was a massive step forward, he decides Tol backslide more than Michael Jackson with Hubie Halloween. This is a new movie from Happy Madison. Uh, I can hardly say it without throwing up on a little. Um, it's a new Halloween film. Um, you know what's frustrating about a movie like this is that the idea behind it is actually pretty sweet. You know, there's a guy who is who is related to the last family that was persecuted for the Salem witch hunts, and he has Promoted himself to the safety guy for Halloween, right guy who wants to have ever, you know, safe and sane Halloween and you know, kind of patrols and stuff like that and tries to make sure all nobody's getting in any trouble and When people start to disappear, he just he tries to become the hero. Okay, so sweet idea, right? No. Yeah, Well, I mean, take Sammler, right. Okay. Okay. Yes, Like an idea for a sweet Halloween film. Okay, then happy. Madison and Sandler get involved, and it is all goes to crap. I mean, real fact. I'm shocked. Stunned. Tell me why. You know, you can talk to the Kendall producer. I wonder about the voice. He affects another one of those wonderful voices of his on after about 30 seconds. First of all, you need subtitles And secondly, you know, like, Yeah, I hate this guy, too. No matter how good he is, I'll be throwing flaming dog excrement at him to just like all the kids in the movie because he starts out and he starts going. OK here. We gonna have a nice teeth and happy Halloween and okay. Oh, yeah. No matter this Sandy Wexler deal, which sounds like Gilbert Gottfried on helium, but this one is still it's irritating and how he gets actress like Ray Liotta and Stephen's Given to appear in these films. I wonder if he has photographs. I don't know Ray Liotta, Can you imagine Ray Liotta is in this movie and he goes, It's not a cameo. Here's the film for a great deal of the picture. Yeah, And of course, he got his usual cronies, You know, like Rob Schneider and Kevin James and Uh, to meadows and even the reliable My Rudolph. I used to think it's hilarious. It just is flatter than a pancake. In this movie. It's Z. Much bad wouldn't makes it so frustrating is that you know you watch a movie with him, especially on Netflix. You know, I almost wish I had made a different creative decision there. And had me voice it over. Exactly. I could do it. I always wanted. Do you know what DVD commentary but I always wanted to do that in a world And then that's how all these movie trailers start. In the world. You know those guys? You do Those make a lot of money. That would be a good side. Hustle for you. You could do it. I'd like that. We spent the last four minutes prior to coming on Googling who? You're dating McLovin. Who is Josh dating right now? Well, I have. Ah, you know, it's hard to keep track in this but Hydra, Molly. Maybe Mari Mari Mari. Is she from North Dakota? She is from North Dakota. Is she there? She's there now? Yes, I was just there two days ago, but she's not there your place? No, no, no, She's not. She's she's. She's actually in Fargo. Okay, but you couldn't date somebody from South Dakota, could you? Well, I could date somebody from anywhere, but I choose to date her. Well, I know, but you're from North Dakota. Would you date somebody from South Dakota? That would be weird now, knowing what I don't know. Do you have something against South Dakota? I have nothing. I have nothing against you. You know, she's actually got a place she has her family has Ah Lake cabin like less than an hour from mine out there, and I didn't know that when I first met her was sort of Ah, A chance. You know, One of those was lucky little circumstance, but not wedding bells were just that we're dating. And Really What? I'm going to plug the movie, but I gotta get a little gossip in here. I got to make entertainment tonight. Come on, she she is a keeper. I'll put it that OK, definitely a keeper. How's Axel Door? He's doing great. He's still asleep. Went to bed. A little late last night I was up. I was was gone all day yesterday doing press for this movie and He was You wanted some daddy time. So we We spent way watch the hotel for dogs last night, you know, stayed up a little past his bedtime. So you still sleeping No school this week. Does he know what you do for a living? Sure he hasn't seen this movie though. He probably won't for another 10 years. Alright. You got some big stars in here. You got Olivia Munn, You got Kevin Dillon, Nick Swardson. Dax, Shepard. Good, Pretty good list. They're not you recruit him. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that was that was a whole horse trade right there. I had to get it is, you know you have to get certain people with a certain what they call Q number, which which means I have a certain international value and Dax and Libya had enough to sort of get me green lit for this movie. So I went to Olivia and I said, Hey, Libya, Dax is in if you wanna unit during that went to Dexter's hate on you. So I had to pull out every trick in the book to get this thing right. But the Q rating explain that, though, is that how movies are made, or some movies that may not get made? They get made because of Somebody's curating who comes in Yes, I mean, they based down. I really don't agree with this whole formula. They go by because I don't think you know what you know what somebody's curating in Germany and somebody's curating in Korea. How that helps make a better movie. I'd rather get the right to people for the movie. Then, you know, depend on something for him. But they what they do is they have taken then pre sell all the money so, like hedging their bets before they even financed the movie. We're talking to Josh to mail. The movie is called Buddy Games. Wednesday took is it released this Thanksgiving weekend able Okay? Yeah. Good way. Got a great release. Ron is a great is the best weekend. We could ask for, honestly, um, corner screens right now. Which is good, considering, you know. What? We're in the middle of S Oh, yeah, Z. You know you as you know, this has been a long time coming. This has been something I've had to, you know. Question. Pull and dragon kick for for years to get it done and spending E. I just can't wait for people to see it now. Is it? Is there a love scene? With you. Yes, there is love. See, It's really romantic. You should check it out. Give me a little bit more than that. Is there a woman involved? All right, So it's me in Olivia, and we're at my parent's place on a Sunday morning for brunch is she decides to spice things up a little bit, so she she, you know, sort of stops me in the bathroom. I'm washing my hands, and it sort of happens right there. So, yes, not most romantic love you've ever seen on the scene itself. I'm sort of looking at myself is that there's a picture of myself as a child as I'm And I have to stop because it's too uncomfortable. Feel like I'm scared. My child itself is staring at me. How, but are they always awkward when you do love scenes? Yeah. I mean, yeah, they're not. They're not nearly as fun as they might look on screen because you know you've got a bunch of Harry camera dudes around and you know you sound guys and you know his grips and gaffers all around, so it's It's never as sort of sensual as it might appear on screen. It's pretty uncomfortable, actually. Well, I was in Ah Sandler movie blended and I had to kiss a woman. And I I just met her and Wendy Cho vi McClendon. I think from the Goldbergs Oh, yeah. Yes. Oh, Sandler says like that. It's not in the script, and then sama goes, Danny. I think you need to kiss Wendy. And I mean, I didn't I didn't know her. And next thing I know, you know, Sammler goes, OK, Action and then I'm kissing Wendy Cho vi McClendon and I go. How awkward is this? But it's not like that with you guys like you know, Olivia Munn, don't you? Yes, I do know Livia, but, you know, sometimes that's what it is that awkward Because I've done things were you know a zoo? You know, they shoot these things out of order. And I would seize right just girl five minutes earlier. And we have to do like the love scene. 1st 1st Day of the first you know of shooting, so it Z. It's not the worst, but it's not. It's just truly part of the job. Wendi McLendon cov Fritzie is telling me I had it in reverse order..

Paying back Rent has also gotten hard for folks in residential properties has the first of the month approaches. You can consider asking for a rent decrease. KQED reporter Joe Fitzgerald. Rodriguez has looked into this and joins us, Joe Hey, there. You spoke with a tenant's attorney in a housing rights organizer about this? What advice that you got from them stood out to you. Well, you know, as a tenant myself the advice to look at things from the landlords, perspective really stood out, for instance, instead of first arguing that Hey, I'm having personal hardships. Instead, you might try simply comparison shopping like Look at similar apartment prices in your neighborhood. Tell your landlord if you can get a better deal that could really help, And I've got to assume that you don't just call your landlord and start this conversation. These negotiations need to be done in writing, right? No, that's absolutely right. The tenants advocates I spoke to you on this had some horror stories of landlords reneging on hand shaker spoken deals and everyone I spoke to really emphasized the need to cross all your teas and dot all your I's and writing. There are other common mistakes to tenants often simply leave when they can't afford their rent without knowing all their options, and sometimes signed complicated legal documents without a lawyer or a tense advocate looking it over first. Be clear, though most of these folks I talked to agreed you could negotiate a rent decreased largely on your own. It's that final moment when you get the deal in writing, that's when you need professional help in another way to get a rent decrease is to organize your neighbors like in your building. How does that work? It's kind of like It's almost like a union, right. We spoke to one tenant who just asked their neighbors if they want to join in on asking for rent decrease. The approach landlord together jointly and asked for 15% reduction for one year, and they got it asking together shows it's more than just you who is in need, And it could also bring the pressure of a rent strike. If you make that point. Since you mentioned that you are attendant yourself. Can I ask you if this is something you have pursued a rent decrease? I mean, you know, After talking to these folks, I realized that my own landlord had left my backyard and absolute shambles with timber from cut down trees from my yard all over it just in piles and piles. So, Yeah, I could actually go to the rent board and say, Hey, Rent board. That's something that is part of habitability that is guaranteed to Mia's attendant. And that could be 100 or $200 knocked off my rent. Should I pursue it, huh? Okay. KQED reporter Joe Fitzgerald Rodriguez. Thanks. Thank you. "Cars and bicycles drove around Oakland, two houses belong to landlords who'd been targeting tenants for eviction. Many of the protesters have been on red strike since the spring when the economic shutdown forced thousands out of work. And although a patchwork of different eviction moratoriums offers some protection, renters fear that it won't last forever. Thank you. Outside of a nondescript looking building on Harrison Street Protester Emily Stone points out the SMC Ah large East Bay rental company. Purchased the building after the 2000 and eight foreclosure crisis for just $230,000. The building is now worth 1.4 million and is one of 600 rental units owned by SMC. They're one of the biggest landlords in open. They're one of the biggest of Victor's in opened over the course of six year period, they served 350 evictions, Stone says the SMC has been trying to serve a legal eviction notices to renters during the pandemic. We are Agonized in October in response to in a eviction notices that SMC started serving to Oakland tenants taking advantage of a New California law that doesn't apply here because we have stronger protections, But they served 15 day eviction notices to people than the organized in response to that, Then they backed down, rescinded those notices. They're still not negotiating with us, but you're going to continue to organize until that happens, and now they're serving the same eviction notices to tenants and Berkeley. One of the Berkeley tenants who received an eviction notice from SMC is Lohan Umi told Lou. She worked at Alameda County Behavioral health, providing mental health care for LGBTQ youth. But when her program was shut down due to the pandemic, she lost two thirds of her income. As a result, she hasn't been paying the rent and thought she was protected by the moratorium. She was shocked when the eviction notice appeared on her door. It stopped me in my tracks and filled me with anxiety with trepidation about where am I going to go next? What am I going to do, But I find strength in the union in the Tenant council, and that's where I know that I could show up to our weekly tenant meeting. And I can talk to the council members and they will support me. Tenant and neighborhood councils or tank is a Bay Area wide tenants union that is pushing back against evictions, and they've had some success. The SMC Tenant Council, for example, was able to force SMC to rescind the illegal eviction notices they sent to their tenants. Stone, who's part of the SMC Tenant Council, says they've been trying to get SMC to come to the table and negotiate for weeks but that no meaningful progress has been made. When reached for comment as emcee provided a statement to KPFK quote for those tenants who remain in a difficult financial situation. As him see, remains confident that a meaningful compromise can be reached. That means all parties objectives. Sammler faith has been helping to organize neighborhood tenant councils. The rent strike emerge, says a strategy toe basically force landlords to come to the table and negotiate around canceling background. Reducing ground moving forward and concessions like that. When the moratoriums eventually end. Those who haven't been paying rent will still owe thousands of dollars in background. Too many tenants. The idea of a massive payment coming to all at once is a terrifying thought. And so rent forgiveness is a key demand of the red strikers. Lefebvre says The rent strike is also part of a much larger movement to try and resolve longstanding tensions around housing in security in the Bay Area were opposed to assist on that creates and allocates housing based on profit instead of need. So you know, the consequences of this system are all around us where we have luxury apartments sitting empty above homeless encampments. And so we really believe that the way to push back It's for tenants to get organized and take collective action. For many people living in the Bay. Housing in security is a deeply personal issue. Jean Cadwell is in the central worker who cooks for someone who's immune compromised, and she also worked as a chef for a catering company. She lost half her income last spring when the catering event she worked at were canceled. She lives with her partner in a live work warehouse in Oakland and has been on red strike since the beginning of the pandemic. We were pretty scared to stop paying rent. There's a perception that the landlord would retaliate. But the thing is, we're already being retaliated against because we don't pay enough as far as they're concerned. Cadwell says that she was already in a fight with her landlord before the pandemic even began because they were trying to raise the rent. This warehouse. They want to raise the rent to the point where artists can't live here, So that's where it was going to go anyway. I didn't really feel like I had much to lose. For many red strikers, there's a sense that they can't depend on their landlords of the government to solve their problems. So community organizing has become a key tool in making their voices heard. As of right now, a California state eviction moratorium is in place until February. 1st of 2021. But that law requires tenants to pay 25% of their rent between September and January to avoid eviction. Oakland and Berkeley. Tenants are protected by a separate local moratorium that supersedes the state one. This is an effect indefinitely until the City Council's decided to end the state of emergency. And in San Francisco. Tenants can't be evicted until April. 1st 2021 Reporting for KPFK I'm Sam Anderson. What would your NFL name be if you wanted to because of the liquor store Ferguson's 37th birthday today, Okay, I figured we'd have some fun offer that from the key and peele bit and come up with your cool first and last name. If you knew you were gonna become a NFL player, okay, because peel came in, and he's not a sports fan, and he says to key We got a brother named D'Brickashaw Ferguson. And then that spawned the football names. You know, during the highlights in the end zone celebration. What is it? My Kringle Berry? Pringle. Migrant Wrangling The crinkled Ganga LMA Kringle. Very well. Don't forget about Tyrell Smoochy Wallace. But never forget. That's how that came up is Jordan Peele? Came in after seeing the Jets play, and he's like His brother's D'Brickashaw Ferguson, the British Shaw Yes, he The audience has suggested that my last name should be under bench. Feeding on the bench seat on the bench like Kitty under Ben because I came up with if I could have a name mine would be F. King fast So my last name would be fast F King F esteem fast. "And but we all I think is the stuff. We did a marvelous job of just settling in and then just giving them the information that they needed for this win, and they did a nice job with it really says something about I would think. About your football team's football like you, you know, especially in the instant key positions out. There were guys have got to do those mental gymnastics and be picking up things because my guess would be during the course of that game. You guys are making some reeds and seeing things differently, saying, Okay, we need to make adjustments. And so you know, Sammler was able to sit down and look at a lot of tape or in a Lambo wasn't it will sit down like a lot of tape. It had to be making the mental adjustments on the fly. Absolutely, absolutely. And we talk a lot. At least what I do with the team. Whenever I see some like crazy plays that happened in college or in the NFL, and I talked to them on Monday. I'll Alice say, Hey, did you see that Baltimore Ravens game with the picture Steelers in this scenario happening? Who screwed up that scenario and a lot of our players to raise up? Yeah, I saw that coach and that they should have done this and should have done that interest, you know, so we tried. We tried to educate our players on the experiences that they see on the weekends from themselves and And I think this really helped us is a football team because we picture ourselves in those situations and how we would react and how we would perform and what we would strategize and do And I think our players are really starting to understand the whole dynamics of the game. In terms of all the critical situations, you know how we should try toe milk, the clock all those different things and went and when is the time to do that? You know, stuff like that. So They're growing there. Definitely mentally their football like he was getting getting is ascending for sure Heavy talking about playing a football game without a quarterback yet? No, I haven't talked about that. But that Zoe.

Just press two for the chump line When you go to 844 542 42 leave your message and you might hear it on the radio version of the show. In the next hour. Joining us now on the line is Courage selector. He is a lawyer and Southern California and he is a columnist for Town Hall. And he's got a number of novels out his fifth Kelly turn bald novel has just come out and it's a pleasure to have him on the show. Kurt, I thought of you this morning as I was going over the stories. Coming out of the paper, and I see and this is just this is just today. San Jose's Democrat. Mayer apologizes after he ignored coronavirus guidelines. So then I go a little further. San Francisco Mayor London Breed who imposed first citywide lockdown dined at French laundry restaurant the night after Governor Gavin Newsom's infamous party and then that, of course, was. This was just hours after news had broken that the L, A supervisor formerly known as uh, Zelda Gilroy on the Dobie Gillis Show had voted to shut down outdoor dining in L A, and then gone to her favorite restaurant just before the band took. It took effect. Are there any Kurt I This is a long setup. But are there any Democrats in the Golden State of Colorado who California who haven't violated their own regulations and lockdowns? Well, how is statistically there's got to be one right? And they're all going to the French laundry, you know? And having, you know, traveling fused pants back in that how like the saint, Okay? It's like, you know, most of people like eating lawman because they have no jobs. Right. You know, I saw that Mayor breed in San Francisco. Why? I guess it was the birthday party of the daughter in law of a Hong Kong billionaire. So you know, just just somebody that you know the average boy ploy would sit down with and get go toe went bowling alley for you know all a couple of strings and didn't get a pizza to go. Right? That's that's all This is It's Z thing is so annoying. It's you know, California is probably the worst govern state in the country. Well, you know, there's that one. The white, you know, gotta run neck and back. But the whole idea of these hacks going out and ignoring There, you know. Uh, foul foe mouth. Uh, warnings you have you have you Thanksgiving with your parents or kill everyone? It's just you know, the hypocrisy is going And to the extent that you do need to be careful about covert. I had covert. I'm I know. I know. I was gonna ask you about that. Yeah. I mean, it's a real thing where people can feel people die from it. Yeah, but You don't have parents like idiots, and I think people could be relied on. Not too, but they're not going to trust people if the people are always wrong and always mind. Yeah. So, Yeah, I'm looking at the the story about the mayor of San Jose Sammler. Carter, and I believe he's like a apologist for the rioters, right? I think I recall him from the spring. They all are. Yeah, don't require. But he was. He was busted by a local TV station that said that Locarno broke county health protocols and spent the day with his elderly parents. And with an unknown number of other guests. This is after he had said he would spend the holiday staying home yet his office later claimed this was after he was busted. Kurt his office said that the spokesperson, Mint Person misspoke. Yeah, That's nice, isn't it? You don't get to do that in a court trial, do you? Good. That's that's that's quite a misstatement that Z. It's You know, you're pretty substantial error like 100%, I think Well, he says here, Here's a statement his lengthy statement. I have a very large family, he says. So I guess nobody else in San Jose has a large family right. So he gets he gets a pass immediately. Most of barren, childless hipsters. Uh, s so let me go on bunk that slaving away for Google. And so then London London Breathe the mayor of San Francisco. Her spokesperson said that the party that she went to at the again the French laundry. This is this place where you get $100,000 bottles of wine. It was a small family birthday dinner, okay? So what's the big deal here? Kurt? It is more proof that our ruling class is the worst ruling class of all American history. It's like these guys have inherited all the institutions and building they created. They just went to Harvard and then got handed the keys to them. There's somebody coming out of Cambridge within anyway competent. I keep looking back to what Buckley said. Which is he gonna be governed out of 1st 50 people of Boston phone book, And then then, then the Harvard faculty employed at that shoot black. Yeah, and Mayor Breed was at this French laundry. This this super ultra posh exclusive place the night after Governor Gavin Newsom. Had violated his own guidelines by going to it, and they were in the same room current. They went to the say, What is this? The Democrat politicians let them eat cake room that they've got it at the French laundry. You there, Kurt. I'm sorry Impact. It's it's the Marie Antoinette. Yeah. So what? The meat cake. Pick one. So then I said, But it looks like there's a rebellion brewing, though. And California because Beverly Hills last night, the city Council, uh, denounced the fact that they're shutting down all of the outdoor dining in Los Angeles County. And there's parking about setting up their own public health department so they don't have to rely on the county health department and they could do whatever the hell they plays. So I guess this is what happens when you have have these Governments that try to impose these draconian measures on the population. People began to think about seceding from the larger the larger jurisdiction, don't they, Kurt? Look how it is impossible to maintain the status quo. When one side decides it's going all for it to its own advantage, and they outraged when everybody else decides. Wanna have the same rules and we're seeing that all over the place, including most recently elections because, remember the last elections were hacked by proving apparently And now it's racist, sexist and transport to have any doubt about the legitimacy of the election. And you cannot function that it is human nature that people will not accept now, except for a little one. After white just doesn't work And if these people knew anything about human beings Which they don't because they have no life experience. I mean, my first job was mopping out of toilet Gavin Newsom. You know, wife was pretty much doubt. Nabby upstairs. And you know he doesn't know anything about human beings. No, he doesn't seem too. I mean, I thought he couldn't go any further when he announced his holiday eating guidelines and said, in between bites, you should put the mask On your face. Yeah, I got some. He confined. Uh, it's really something. I'll let me before we talk about your novel. I wanna bounce. One more thing off you. This was just today. California's was from the Washington Free beacon. I don't know if it's their story of someone else broken. California taxpayers shelled out more than $1 million to a man linked to a Chinese espionage program, making him the state governments highest paid worker. He was the he was the chief investment officer for the California Public Employees. CalPERS. That's the retirement system that he made more than 1.7 million in 2019. So this again. This is nothing. No, I mean, uh, Senator Feinstein, another mask scofflaw. She employed a driver for 20 years who had allegedly had ties to the Chinese. Secret Service, didn't she? Of course she did. Look, I I mean, huge numbers of people are owned by the Chinese. It's just a fact and we've got to stop tolerating and I am feeling we will. It's just kind of a race before they take everything over where we pull our heads out of the sand. Yeah. All right, that Kurt Schlichter, you've got a guy I always love your column, and I enjoy it and that you've got you've got a new book out a new novel, and it's still pretty well on on Amazon, I think, isn't it? Tell us about it. Wow. It got down to number 29. I'd beat 50 shades of correct but super excited about that's called crisis. It's the fifth in my Telly Turnbull series of exciting action packed smart, smart mouth conservative bus thrillers. You know, Andrew Breitbart said, Hey, we gotta write our own stuff. That's got to be good. I gotta say, I was gonna write something fun. I was the first one People's Republican 16 about America Swing and a red and blue and seeing what happens is You know when Blue states run wild and you know a five books later, people just love these things. Howie. I'm looking at 1/6 and Kelly. Terrible. Maybe visiting Bostic. Well, that's good..

"Camera Nigel presented and I Ah, horrible person who you're awful horrible. 93 wi bc. So this happened while I was in the pool in Florida. We brought a little colt's football with us little small, blue and white Colts football and me and the boys were throwing it around the pool, and some other kids wanted to get in the mix. We're like, all right, so we're playing pool football where there's this one real fat kid, And when I listen, I said this earlier, I'll say it again. I am fat, so I feel like I can say these things the same way. Abdul could say things about the black community that we can't basically you could make fun. You are one? Yes, exactly. And this kid was probably around 89 years old, but man, he was fat. I mean, rolls on top of rolls on top of roles. He looked like the Michelin man's poop. This little fat kid. We're playing football with on the ball already horrible person, but go ahead. And he doesn't want to throw it back. He says he's going to take it to his room. And what? No, no, You gotta give it back to us, buddy, you know, come on, and he starts to get out of the pool. And I said, Hey, I didn't know his name. Hey, big fella. We need the fall. No. And my wife was in the pool. You can't call fat kid big power, and I don't think there was anything wrong with it. Like big fella was a term We used all the time when I was growing up. Hey, tell the big fella to get over here. Oh, you must be the big fella. But I got a lecture from Mrs Sammler about calling a fat kid, big fella. So let's open it up. 239 93 93. Am I a horrible person? We're calling this fat kid, big fella. Could you have left me? I'm just spitballing here. Could you have left the big out of it? Could you just said Hey, fella. Well, there were other kids around, but they weren't fat. Oh, so you were trying to be specific, right? I wanted him to know I was talking to him. You felt more people would have turned their head if he just would have said Hey, fella. But never because you said, big fella, I'm only referring to one person that could only be one person in this pool. And I got you know the arm grab by my wife where his parents that they're gonna be met. You can't call him big fella. Good for your wife. Yes. You're a horrible person. I didn't think there was anything wrong with it. So 239 93 93 in my horrible person for calling will stay puff Marshmallow man, big fella. I mean, would it be like some day? Big guy. What's that is that is that what you're trying to? You're trying to even like called people, Big guy all the time. Whether the tiny whether they're big right now, there's something a little bit different here. So you're saying that's on par with like a big guy. What's up? He was trying to steal the football. Let's not forget not bear. My horrible person. We'll know if he's.

Yes, I do know Livia, but you know, sometimes that's what it is that awkward Because I've done things were You know that, As you know, they shoot these things out of order, and I would see is right, just girl five minutes earlier and we have to do like the love scene 1st 1st Day of the first you know of shooting, so it Z. It's not the worst, but it's not. It's just truly part of the job. Wendi McLendon cov Fritzi was telling me I had it in reverse order. So Wendi McLendon cov very talented woman from the Goldbergs. How would you assess your Vikings? Well, we are, You know, I just feel like the bikes this year. Whatever reason, we got off to a really slow start. Um one what, Two games are almost three games and around and Then lose the Cowboys last week, so I don't it I don't feel like this is probably our year. I'm never count him out. But until we get Quarterback that I feel like he put us over the top. I don't I don't think it's gonna be any different than any in years past. Oh, so you're off the Kirk cousins bandwagon. I have been for a couple years now. You have I remember talking to Josh when he left the stadium after that was a playoff game right a couple years ago. Mm. Was that that was the that was in that was in Minnesota after Walsh miss that 24 yard field goal. The Seattle game? Yes. Oh, my God. Oh, God. It's like it's like there's a new what they find a new way to break your heart every year, and then he calls and and I know that he just lost in dramatic fashion. And you know, just like I missed that hurt As a fan. I don't have that because I don't root for anybody. I root for a story line but to have the high when it's really high, but also that pain. The reason I've heard so much as you care so much. Yeah, And you know Russell Wilson just has our numbers. He's been doing this not for a few years. He did it again this year. Remember the game was a game like three or game before. Do just has the ability to take a team back. And that's that to me is what the Vikings are missing. Is that quarterback who can you know that if there's two minutes left, your team still has a shot. You know whether it's Aaron Rodgers or you know Brady, although he didn't play great last night. You know, Uh, guys like Russell Wilson used know that those guys were gonna give me a shot. It doesn't hurt knowing that Green Bay still has Aaron Rodgers. A little bit. Yeah, Yeah, they've had David top quarterback now for 20. Some years, everything. Now you didn't bring up Rogers to Olivia Munn, did you? Uh, no. Why would I wait? Didn't she date She dated a rounders? Yeah, You asked me if I whispered that inner ear. Well, no, I was just curious if if it came because you're a Viking fan. She dated Aaron Rodgers. I didn't think that would come up in conversation. Break the ice a little bit. Yeah, we talked about I mean, I love I love Aaron. I think that he's you know, he's truly one of the greatest farm talents I've ever seen. So as a as a football fan, I wanted to pick your brain about him. So you know what would you like What you look like? I didn't ask you that. I didn't think so, Uh, the movie with you got Kevin Dillon in here, too, from Entourage Jack Shephard, Olivia Munn and Nick Swardson Shorty's great He's crazy. Yeah, he's he's Ah, He's crazy, All right, but he's fantastic in this movie. Hey, was a big He was. He was the first guy on board when we first wrote it, and you know it. Z. This is True, excited people see it because we've shown it now in a few theaters, and it absolutely kills it, Z extreme. No, dad. I'm gonna warn you. It Z, We pushed the envelope. You know, My favorite movies are movies like you know, the hangover and old school and dumb and dumber, So I wanted to do something that sort of pushes the envelope like those Phillips and fairly brothers. Those directors do. And you know it works and I'm excited for excited for people to see this thing After all these years. Yeah, it's been a while. You've been talking about this for Yeah. Five years. Yeah, so it's I mean, that's just that's because of a certain Few. There's a few reasons for that. It was way ended up. Um, well, I won't get into the legal stuff. But we control the movie now and you know, with covert everything else we had. We had to push it back to now, but ultimately, we could have asked for a better day. I mean, I'm really excited about this weekend. Uh, you know, it's the perfect Thanksgiving moved. It sounds like it. Uh, Fun for the entire family. Happy Thanksgiving, And I think either you're ready to blow a kiss to me or your screen just froze up, but it's a good say hello to Axl and thank you, Josh. That Zach Yeah, Yeah. You froze on me. All right, man, Happy Thanksgiving. You gonna be at the 18 t this year? I don't know. We're trying to figure that out. I don't know. I don't know if I'm ready to travel with the entire group here. All right, brother. Thanks for having me. That's Josh Do Mill. He's actor. Writer producer director in the movie is Buddy Games. It's his screen froze. At least I thought it did. And I wasn't sure it looked like it was blowing a kiss this way. Yes, McLovin. Yesterday we did a little tech test and one day and that Hold a joke about seven times where he just pretended to freeze. Can you guess who yes, who was so excited to finally be on zoom 11 months into a pandemic. Holly. Yeah, I don't do a lot of human way were doing a zoom test yesterday was like, Oh, my God. What is it? February and God? Every three minutes. I would just go like this. Well, well, but but Paulie people, Paulie came into the man cave when you guys were doing remote, and I never saw Paulie via remote, You know, zoom during the show, like zoom meetings during the week or anything. No, no all he would just say I'm coming into the studio and I went OK, every 30 seconds. Maybe like this, Paul would be talking. Yeah. Okay, Well, yeah, we get, uh I can guarantee I got a text from Josh. Do Mel saying What's up asking me about the girlfriend there, Chief. I know what we baited them. "Even KJ handler in this last game. It seems like both guys were playing with a lot more confidence as this season. Where, Where's on? Are you seeing the same kinds of things? I'm really excited about both of Judy is in so sammler. I mean, they're they're really very quick into and out of brakes. I was impressed with handler on a little. We used to call it a dagger out, but he said he had man coverage. And he set that thing up with a couple of nice quick stutter steps and then broke in caught a pass over the middle, and it was the first down. He's gonna be a problem. Aziz he gets on into his career. For defense is because he's got exceptional quickness and speed, and Judy is everything that I thought he would be in terms of a route runner that really impressed with his his ability to process things so quickly on the run. On understand leverage points of defensive backs, and I think both those young guys have tremendous upside. That's why, you know, I'm not ready to give up. Under lock. I mean, I think you know you have the makings. You just have a young young offense, But you got the makings Andrew lock is not void of talent. Couple throws, you know, you see, and he makes those throws every week. Arm talent and anticipation, So it's you know, it's in there. They just have to find a way to get it out and find a way to help him. As he matures is a young player completely agree Day. Thank you so much for the time tonight. There's always appreciate it. Okay, guys. Alright. Voice the Broncos Dave Logan also listen to him Weekdays from 9 A.m. to noon on Logan and Lewis. And I mean, just just had a watching and you see it like that play that he just described with one we didn't key takeaways. That was the one where he kind of did little stutter any kind of ran almost just around the safety and hostages came out in the clear, brilliant blocking of front door locks saw it the whole way. Came open, hitting his stride took up the sideline for 27. I mean again, you know he's playing with more more confidence. I mean, you even think from back when he saw him against Pittsburgh the very first time like okay, I see a little bit of something. They're still not using him the way I want to use him, but I see a little bit of that. On the first interception. You he went up to try to make a play on the ball. There's aways catching. That was too Yeah, to live. But he would have to try to tip that, at least and and give it a situation. Where wouldn't be an interception before, unfortunately, and you've got hurt by, you know, he landed like on his back and neck. I was like I was great. Here we go. But he came back into the game and either the making place later on in a couple of people asking with the dagger concept, Wasit daggers a fly, dig on one side and then a drag on the back side because you're high low read, but You guys just so people know. Yeah. There you go. And then Jerry Judy, of course, with his with his route running averaging over 16 yards per catch right now, and it looks like they're all there are only deep shots. This isn't contested Catch stuff. Right. It's like when Courtland Sutton was averaging 2020 yards forget it like, well, that's because you're throwing downfield. We'll fly down the field Just just saying Go get it. You know, I kind of think about what you're not what you're shooting at what you're doing. So, you know, I think the future's bright Mike. My thing is, and I said this before the game. Look across the field now we didn't get a great Ah, good. Long look at Derek Carr. But Derek Carr had a similar transitional league. Similar frame. Similar tools. Similar problems coming out with the second slip, you know, thought to be a first round of slipped to the second in a break the bad quarterback class. You know, And there's more to it that he didn't have continuity. In the beginning. It took him a while to get going. He was throwing interceptions. There was a lot going on there, but they stuck with ended in a working out for him long term. I mean, he's a dark horse MVP.

"I mean, Phillip Lindsay has been Completely neutered and Melvin Gordon I thought ran really hard against the Raiders, but it was tough sledding, and there was just not much there in the run game, and that's Mean coaches. That's what they have toe find ways to get this thing on track, And sometimes you have to get out of what you are comfortable with and go with something a little bit different, something a little more creative. And I hope you can help your team That way is might require a little bit of speculation. But I listened to the end of you guys did with your locker earlier today and that statement you guys did I thought was great. But I listen, Tonto drew locks, answers to your questions. And And to me. This guy doesn't sound like the same kid I talked to at the senior bowl down a mobile. He doesn't sound like somebody is having fun playing football anymore, he said, Like these answers seemed a bit dejected. He seemed sounded depressed. I don't know if it's a byproduct of, you know, getting punched in the mouth by division rival how the season is gone. Just the overall general Malays, But I guess my question here is a two part of one. Does that sound right to you? And to how would you as a coach, try to get your quarterback out of his own head and back toe, you know, having fun with the game of football again. Well, I mean, the only thing that's fun about football is when you win. You put so much time and effort into the game plan in the preparation play game, and then you go out and you play a game every single week. I could tell you from personal experience. If you lose. It's like the end of the world. So and they've lost recently. And then you have four interceptions. Uh, yesterday and so I think, Drew Think Drew's beaten down. I think he realizes I think he's frustrated. I think the entire office is frustrated, and so in terms of resurrecting him, I I think I think it's important. With the staff and they don't need me to tell him anything. But my opinion on this would be that they they've got to coach him out of Some of the things that were seen. This kid has talent. He can throw the ball. I am not ready to say the least. Not ready. Toc, throw him out and start over. But you have to coach him out of some of these These bad habits. He's still from time to time doesn't get his feet said I thought yesterday in Las Vegas. He eyeballed receivers a couple of times right assumes he caught the shotgun snap. Right. There are times when he's got to stay in the pocket and not flush. But that happens when you get quarterbacks young, middle aged or old when you get him hit all the time, and they start to see color. Well, then you know what they want to get out of the pocket. And Drew is a young guy. He's an athlete. That he throws the ball well, the run. So why would he not want to get out that you have to coach him out of that a little bit, And and to me one of the ways you coach him out of it is you give him things early in the game that he can have success with And it's easy for me to sit here on the radio and say that the reality is that's the much easier said than done, but that to me, that's that's what the Broncos have to do. It starts with the offensive line and their ability to diagnose and then to make sure that you know they're in the right and in dreams said today. Hey, there times that I've gotta flip the protection. That might be something for. You know a young quarterback and you expect him to every now and then make mistakes like this, but they're taking turns making mistakes on offense, and it's just absolutely killing him. No question about it. Dave Logan joining us here Voice of the Broncos last one here for you, Dave in a little more positive, because I've been really impressed with the development of jury duty and even KJ handler in this last game, it seems like both guys are playing with a lot more confidence as this season. Where, Where's on? Are you saying the same kinds of things? Yeah, I'm really excited about both of Judy is in. So sammler. I mean, they're really very quick into an out of brakes. I was impressed with handler on a little. We used to call it a dagger out. But he said he had man coverage and he set that thing up with a couple of Nice, quick stutter steps and then broke in caught a pass over the middle, and it was the first down. He's gonna be a problem. Aziz he gets on into his career. And understand leverage points of defensive backs, and I think both those young guys have tremendous upside. That's why, you know, I'm not ready to give up. 100 lock. I mean, I think you know you have the makings. You just have a young young offense, But you got the makings. Andrew lock is not void of talent. A couple throws you know, you see, and he makes those throws every week. Arm talent and anticipation, So it's you know, it's in there. They just have to find a way to get it out and find a way to help him as he matures as a young player. Completely agree day. Thank you so much for the time tonight. There's always appreciate it. Okay, guys. Alright Voice, the Broncos Dave Logan, also listening to him weekdays from 9 A.m. to noon on Logan and Lewis. And I mean, just just kind of watching and you see it like that play that he just described with one we didn't key takeaways. That was the one where he kind of did little stutter and he kind of ran almost just around the safety analyst. It came out in the clear Brilliant blocking of front drew lock saw it the whole way. Came open, hitting his stride took up the sideline for 27. I mean again, you know he's playing with more more confidence. I mean, you even think from back when he saw him against Pittsburgh the very first time, Okay? I see a little bit of something. They're still not using him the way I want to use him, But I see a little bit of that on the first interception. You He went up to try to make a play on the ball. There's a waste catching. That was too Yeah, but he would have to try to tip that, at least and and give it a situation where a windy and interception before Really? And you've got hurt by it. You know, he laid it like on his back and neck. I was like, Oh, great. Here we go. But he came back into the game and either the making plays later on in a couple of people asking with the dagger concept was the daggers a fly, dig on one side and then a drag on the back side because you're high low read, But you guys just so people know. Yeah. There you go. And then Jerry Judy, of course, with his with his route running averaging over 16 yards per catch right now, and it looks like they're all there are only deep shots. This isn't contested Catch stuff. Right. It's like when Courtland Sutton was averaging 2020 yards forget it like, well, that's because you're throwing them downfield to fly down the field just saying Go get it, You know, I kind of think about what you're not what you're shooting at what you're doing. So, you know, I think the future's bright I might. My thing is, and I said this before the game. Look across the field now. We didn't get a great Ah, good. Long look at Derek Carr. But Derek Carr had a similar transitional league. Similar frame. Similar tools..

"90 Bring six depends on whether there's two fullbacks one fullback. When you cut down the 80. It makes it a lot harder. Also, some added six is something that you're always asking for is a coach could use them so much and you need depth. So that was something we were hoping for anyways. But then, when it became the possibility of Jordan Reed things change a little bit, because now you're not just trying to add a number. You're out on a guy who, if he's healthy, may never once seen always played in this league. So I'm really hoping Jordan could come in here. Just talking to him in the last couple days. Toe here where he's at to hear how he feels. I know he hasn't been on the field for a little bit annoys very hungry to get back out. There was cool, you know to talk to turn Williams yesterday or on Saturday. I'm a little bit about Jordan, you know, because train spent a lot of time there in Washington with him only got one year with him and just to hear, I know he's hungry to come in and play. Football hasn't got to do much of that lately. And when you have a talented guy who's hungry to play football, it works out if they can stay healthy, and Jordan's had some bad luck over the years, I know he's ready to go. I hope you have some good luck here. And if he does, I think it's going to help the deal for the Niners. Sam really good deal for him Also. Hi. This is David the Lombardi. This question's for John on the radio. The other day you mentioned that you guys were anticipating the cap, probably rising tow 215 220 million. Obviously, that's really created over the past few weeks. I'm wondering how you you know what was different about this offseason as faras having to manage, you know, a budget of a championship contending team when you didn't even know what the cap was going to be. And I guess you still don't know right now. How has that impact that you know the day to day of projecting contracts and such That's an interesting question. When we've been I think everybody in the league has been trying to wrap their arms around. I think everybody in this league Ah, you crave is certainty in terms of want to know the rules. What are we dealing with? And and so it's been interesting in that I think we all knew the potential. That things could change dramatically and right down to the deal. You know that the owners and the and the CA came to, you know, even then we were still waiting for specifics, and we still don't know those. So, um you know it. Uh, is it going to be a challenge? Absolutely, You know for us, I think you know some of the biggest challenges. We were set up with a really good roster. But we had set it up such that We really felt it was sustainable, and I think it's still sustainable. We're going to have to get creative, though, and we got to figure some things out. So You know you You weigh that, along with everything else that this offseason broad in terms of these new protocols and everything but it it has left for a lot more uncertainty than then you're used to in this league and that's been difficult. I guess if there's any good news, it's that Well, everybody else was an immune to that same uncertainty were all planned from the same rules and are certain teams better position to, you know, Tio stomach that probably, But you know, we'll figure it out. We're confident that we will Hey, it's Tracy Sammler. This is for Kyle, in meeting with the players say for the first time. What is the general mood? Is there any trepidation around all of the new protocols with covert 19 isn't taking away at all from the excitement of getting started with the season. I mean, I mean, there's more to think about than usual. Usually we've had 30 days off were coming here and there's only one thing you can think about it. It's the only thing you should be thinking about the time and that's football. That's been the challenge for me starting me personally. I've been telling everyone the 1st 2 weeks I came back here in You know whether it's trainers are medical guys air on personnel to part whatever it is every question that they asked the head coach. I told them usually this time of year. I'm extremely confident in whatever answer I give whether tried a wrong But I always feel pretty confident because it's just so predicated on what I think the best for our football team. Um, in terms of football, and it's just been a little different these last two weeks because that's how I usually think, but there's kind of this other thing. That's new. Sit in there that you have a football doesn't matter if you don't an alcove it right, and so I've never said I'm not sure, um in the last two weeks as much as I have, because of certain things like that, and I think that's what kind of all trying to implement in and man is the first time we've really got to see that all the players in person since the Super Bowl in I start getting ready for stuff. I want to talk about football wise, and it's going to be like a maggot probably never stopped. There's so many things I want to talk about. Um, and today's the first day back, But today because of all the stuff you asked about today was mainly just addressing those concerns talking about Cove it I know before I got here. I was a lot more nervous, not just how can this work out? I know what office looks like, and I know what we do like, how come we social distance and Ah, a lot of skeptics skepticism before I got here and then when I did each day just got better and better And then you start to see the protocols and you just get so much more optimistic. Like, all right, I get how this can work doesn't mean it's gonna be easy, but I get out. Let's go work and that's kind of what I just shared with the players that they've been often on here that we haven't been able to be with the coaches and stuff, But that's kind of what I just talked about and show him what we have ahead of us were allowed to practice against each other and when we do that's August 15th and That day were goingto willing only have about 15 practices before we go on, and I mean, you can't go four pads every single day. I think we're allowed 14. There's only about a total days of 15 s. Oh, I don't know how many were going to get in, but it's not gonna be what you're used to. But that's what we're gonna really start hitting it hard when we should have a 10 day deal right now, or we're social distancing lifting conditioning getting prepared to really compete. And that's what's different than every other aspect. So I'm trying to sew it down a little bit. Focus on covert things like that now, and I know is this starts getting into it. We get closer practicing is against each other. Then a lot more football stuff will come in. There you go. There's Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch. Their normal quote unquote press conference. They start camp with We will if you missed it, or if you're a little bit late. We'll get into some of the conversations and some of the things that were said We'll do it coming up. Next. Must we get the foreplay? It's pop in London, a Monday on the yard game. We are one of 45 and 6 80 These forces Do you know you can listen to Papa and London. Your Google home..
