"I am all by myself so i wanna thank everyone who's been helping me out all month long on this journey through horror. All my guest hosts my friends and family who have joined me talking about these various movies. There will be more guests to come in the coming weeks but today i am going to be talking very briefly about where wolves within. It's a new movie just came out this year so i'm going to be spoiling it for you. Turn off now if you haven't seen it or if you don't want it spoiled you can buy it or rent it on voodoo or amazon prime various places like that it is not currently streaming on any place like netflix or hbo. Though i'm sure it will be before too long. It's color of course and it is ninety seven minutes long. The budget was six point. Five million the box office was nine hundred. Forty one thousand and seventy one dollars. It didn't have a very wide theatrical release and I but it's very good and i think it'll probably make up that deficit in rentals and purchases over time. It's based on an ubi soft game of the same name but the game is set in medieval town. And this is not it. Set in a modern town fictional town of beaver field. It was filmed in the hudson valley area in new york. So i assume that is where beaver field is meant to be set. And since i'm just here talking to myself. I'm just gonna read the plot from wikipedia to give you a overview of the film. Forest ranger fin wheeler is assigned to cover beaver field. A small town where the residents are divided over a pipeline proposed by businessman. Sam parker upon arriving fin befriends mail carrier sesame more while also meeting tricia anderson and her unfaithful husband. Pete wealthy couple devon and joaquin wolfson blue collar workers gwen and marcus and isolationist emerson flint. That night a blizzard knocks out all power in beaver field forcing the residents to take refuge in a lodge owned by janine sherman. The power outage occurs right before tristesse dog is killed by an unknown assailant which increases tensions in the town. Further conflict arises when finn discovers that all beaver fields generators were sabotaged and the body. Janin's missing husband. Dave is underneath the largest porch. The residents attempt to barricade themselves in the lodge for safety. But pete has his hands bitten off by the same unknown assailant environmentalist. Dr jane ellis an opponent of the pipeline concludes that the assailant is aware wolf. Who is one of the largest current inhabitants after announcing her findings. Dr ellis dies in front of parker. Under ambiguous circumstances parker claims she committed suicide. Those remaining in the lodge initially considered staying together to force the assailant out of hiding but ultimately all but finn and sesame leave for their homes however with tensions having reached a boiling point in be revealed the residents begin to kill each other after nearly all the townsfolk killed. Finn is attacked by parker. Who claims finn is the werewolf because he worked in locations where previous attacks occurred fin counters that there is nowhere wolf and parker is responsible for the paranoia gripping beaver field parker gains the upper hand against finn but a dying joaquin manages to kill him. Okay folks here comes a spoilers for the twist at the end so stop listening if you don't want it spoiled qualified incessantly recuperate. In the town's bar finn learns that dave was be revealed previous mail carrier. He then realizes that cecil is the werewolf confronted by finn sesame acknowledges that she turned to the residents against each other to make feasting on them easier..

Classroom Posters at Hamilton High School Spark Controversy; LA Unified School District Issues Response

"School a high school in california where they have posters. This is the alexandra. Hamilton high school in los angeles unified school. So all william unified school district where they have posters which say want jennifer. Oh my gosh sabbath. This high school part of the la unified school district. Hamilton high has all kinds of terrible posters. Got the american flag lying on the ground. Let me read you the list of what they have. Because i don't want get this wrong. They have a palestine flag. They have a transgender flag. A pride flag. A black lives matter flag all hung prominently from the blackboard. According to some photos that were taken undercover a few parents rights groups. Got a hold of this. And they blew the whistle on this high school. The american flag while all of those other flags are hanging up in a nice prime location flung across furniture in the classroom now after they found out about this because it started to get some attention and traction on twitter with some parents groups who were thankfully appalled and this is part of the pushback in california even at the smallest level. It's coming for more parents. Getting involved with their kids classroom. Some parents groups called out l. unified. And you would think that they would say oh. We had no idea this was going on. We would remedy this situation sam. La unified school district. They knew about it and they said that they would make sure that the posters would be taken down now. Here's the problem. You've you've left out two of the posters. Oh go ahead. Sorry the police. Oh after police unleaded. Forget the america with kkk. Instead of the sea on the wall of the classrooms then on the wall of the classroom. And here's the thing and you're right. I should have said that. I because as almost more disturbing than what. They're hanging up everywhere. But here's the problem. It's not the posters. It's not the flags. It's the fact that this is who's teaching our kids. Forget about what they hang on the wall that can come up. It can come down and they can take it down now. Put a back up in two weeks. But what in the heck are they teaching our children and this is the problem with the la unified school district. And i'm gonna guess most school districts around the country that have allowed themselves to become infiltrated by the unions. The unions are now operatives for the socialist movement in this country. They are incredibly powerful in the political sphere members. Pay into this i. I've heard people on my program. And i'm going to employ people across the country if you are a teacher or if you are a person who works for a union take advantage of your rights and get out of the union if they are using the money to support political causes better not important to

Panthers' Matt Rhule Is Making a Bid for Best NFL Coach This Season

"I wanna talk about the best young coach football. And it's not necessarily sean mcveigh. It's clear that it's not only an indictment on the new york jets operation. But what you're seeing was sam darnold in the carolina. Panthers is pretty remarkable the knock on darnold out of college there to know with too comfortable wins but the knock on darnold out of college and i watched every snap was his accuracy issues. What does he completing now. Seventy percent of his throws. He doesn't make mistakes total composure. It would be easy to just say. This is an indictment on the jets but instead of just the negative side. Let's look realistically at the positive side. Not only has met rule made darnold more comfortable. This defense has twenty one quarterback hits and ten sacks in two games. What does that tell you. The culture of the carolina. Panthers is headed in the right direction. It also tells you. This is a remarkable stat on matt rule. The coach carolina going back to the beginning of last year. You will not believe this. Carolina leads the nfl with the fewest. Three and outs that with teddy bridgewater and start with. Sam darnold. nothing about that not mahomes. Not lamar jackson. Not tom brady. Not derek carr not matt ryan not russell wilson not aaron rodgers. No the fewest three and outs matt rule. Teddy bridgewater and sam darnold but this is a offensive line. That outside of right tackle graded poorly left. Tackle all the way to right guard. What matt rule is doing with this sub optimal often. It's of line. Facebook Has Struggled to Address COVID-19 Misinformation on It's Platform

"From the start of the pandemic facebook and it's ceo. Mark zuckerberg have talked publicly. About how seriously they take this crisis. Here's what zuckerberg told cnn back. In april twenty twenty. So i think one of the most important functions that facebook and our acts can do right now is help. Connect people with authoritative health information and experts at the same time to limit the spread of misinformation. But despite that goal facebook has struggled to address foles health information on its platforms. That's continued throughout the rollout of cova vaccines and they became so widespread that well. Here's how president biden described the misinformation back in july really look only pandemic you have is among unvaccinated other. Killing people policing unsubstantiated. Health claims has become a key problem for facebook one. The company has struggled to address even after warnings from employees reporters. Sam schechner is part of the investigative team. That's been working on this story. And he joins me now. Hi sam thanks for being here. Thanks for having me so sam. I think a lot of people who've been on facebook in the last year and a half have seen misinformation about the pandemic and about vaccines. Why is it so hard for facebook to take it all down. I think facebook would say this is a tough problem with a tough adversary. It's not like anti vaccine or new to facebook. They've mobilized on social media and in particular on facebook and in our reporting we've seen internal documents that show that this was an issue. This is something that they tackled in the years before the pandemic they were working on ways to identify who were in these antitax groups they develop policies that some you know certain types of content should be removed and when the pandemic hit these policies were in place so if public health authorities said that a certain type of claim wasn't just false but could cause imminent harm than they would remove that but that's a pretty narrow standard

Sam Scott, CTO at OSO, on Authorization as a Service

"Sam. Welcome asia much having me commissioning authorization. There's a wide variety of tools. That are this space and the first one that comes to mind is off zero which was more recently. Acquired by octa tell me about a brief history of authorizations at service absolutely saw its start with you need to ease the disentangle authentication authorization to very similar. Sounding names often lumped together as just off and there's often a very blurry line between those which piece of the puzzle different people are doing and even goes as far as with the name authorization useful indication and things like that. So i think we think about companies like zero. You know quite a lot of the stuff they focused on is primarily the identity piece the authentication piece right so authentication. It's brown identifying who the user is a few are checking some kind of credentials piece of thing authorization often the piece it comes off to. It's like now. I know you are. What can you do and lower the existing services out the like an author. They do stuff and they maybe do a small piece of the authorization. They may be handled things like you know groups all maybe it's like pulling a few attributes out of the idc providers you kind of get some sense of who this person is. They often leave a lot of the authorization to the application code itself. It's like i know who you are. And maybe i know groups. You belong to roll. You have but i'm gonna. "A not very delicate moment join sheffield. It's easier to do a sex worker jokes if it's guy because there's no danger there but they're For for for sure. But like if there's an innocence to sam in the in the in the world and his and sam is a he he's a bachelor in the show you know. So he's he's. He's got a lot of relationships over the course of whatever but it's never out of a sort of it's all it's always innocent. It's always a place of being excited about the idea of love. You know what i mean so we wanted to like heighten that with the idea. Tim is terrible wing man. And so what is the trouble that sam can get into in that as as in so he finds this person Who he's into but it's the scenario is that like now he's He's in a world. He trips himself into a world that is not at all what he thought he would be. Involved in and the second act him denying that he's in that world even though the evidence is very clear and he's even behaving as if he's in that world but selling himself he's not so i kind of we want to find sort of ways to have me or have sam kind of really play because the the the constant catchphrase is like. I'm not cute. I'm sexy so you get to see sam. Having excuse to make himself sexy you know. Why is that. Why the epitome of sexy in the show monochrome suits macro detroit thing in detroit. We love monochrome monochrome sue. Same color shoes. Same color hat. Same color suit. So i like a very detroit thing. Yeah like the old heads have the alligator shoes and green shoes dreams. Yeah and that's for church. That's whatever as for sunday. So that's sam one step below wearing that hat so that is a detroit. Nap got it. That makes sense. Because yeah because when tim and christie discuss it he's just we'll be right back with more. Richardson support for this episode. Comes.

"One of the most important conversations of your life. I'm also on the host. Tom now to hear from sam please note. This was recorded. Well before the so-called freedom day in england and strict kobe lockdowns were still in place. Well now restrictions have been lifted literally in last few days or assuming that sam is out there living her best lesbian life that you'll understand fully what i mean when he listened to sam's incredible story in full of taking over forty years to admit who she really was. I started by asking. Her journey to understanding self began to be honest. Probably when i was about eighteen which was a long time ago i discovered gave village in manchester. I think we're all here for two to celebrate. Our love of this thing to celebrate Royal rumble weekend and to do it properly. Yeah. And I think one of the ways we can do it properly is if I introduced my co host for the evening. This is a guy who never has a negative things said about him on Twitter. He is the voice of Monday night, raw the voice of smackdown. Live the voice of every WWE pay per view. He is whether he knows it or not my he's become my spiritual guru because of his Instagram stories. I don't know how many of you keeping up with his Buddhist quotes that have been popping up. But I love it. He's the savior of misbehavior and he's the love master, ladies and gentlemen, Corey graves. Look at him. Look look at them. Your prayer hands together for Corey graves their per hands. But Sam let's be honest. You already screwed up. My intro. I'm not the love master. I am the world champion of love. I forgot I'm sorry. I can't believe I let's screw that up. We just went over like five minutes ago. But I know I know it was a new nickname and now now I feel silly. But I'm glad that you're here, man. I'm glad to be here. Yeah. Great mood. I am am not necessarily officially zen Buddhist now, but Sam Chris that earlier today, so we'll just roll with it. Yeah. I mean, I can't believe do you guys. "His. Introducing your host from New York here is Sam rulers. Boy, oh, boy, Royal rumble we everybody Royal rumble league. Let's not pretend to not be excited. Well, gun to not Sam wrestling. It is Royal rumble week, which means we've got a lot to talk about today. Especially this Royal rumble week. I feel like I don't know. Maybe it's because WWE is has has been shifting the creative way they do things maybe because storylines have become so influx lately. Talent dropping in dropping out new guys from annexed tease showing up matches changing it just feels like we're on a roller coaster, ladies and gentlemen, and I for one and enjoying it. We'll talk about it all there's so much to get into this week. We've got a lot of Royal rumble coverage to do. And I'm going to have a guest breakdown the Royal rumble in just a minute. Of course, you know. I got this is so I spent a big portion of Monday, I was I didn't have work on Monday over at Sirius XM, Jim Norton and Sam Roberts, and I'm about three episodes deep into the nineteen ninety two episodes of WWF superstars, though were uploaded onto the WWE network. This is what I've been waiting for. I mean for me superstars WWF superstars superstars of wrestling. Whatever you wanna call it. That's the show that I was raised on. That's my childhood. It went from eventually we got to prime time wrestling, then all American wrestling and all those shows, but it was every Saturday superstars every Sunday wrestling challenge. And so I've been waiting for superstars and the format of the show was exactly what I always remembered wrestling to be this is the wrestling that I was raised on for all those years. And so I was super excited. Nine ninety two for me is is is a perfect year. So I like superstars so much that you know, I would go to the wrestling conventions. I still do go to wrestling conventions all the time that's one of the great parts about living in the east coast. But it used to be I think that WWE has crackdown on it a lot probably for the best for their business. But there used to be like these big tables of bootleg DVD's that they would have on sale. And so I bought like, I think maybe I definitely the nine hundred ninety and the nineteen Ninety-one, and maybe also the nineteen ninety two seasons of WWF superstars on like bootleg DVD, and they were all originally VHS tapes off TV and then transfer and then copied and then copied and then copied and then transferred onto DVD. You know, when I was a I was at tape trader when I was in high school, and so that's when I really started to build my tape collection. I had all the paper views on. Tape, and I had a bunch of like Monday night Roz and shows like that though, we're on tape just from taping him at night, and I never wanted to take over them. But in terms of actually building out a collection in high school was when I started tape trading and really building out that collection and finding episodes of superstars and wrestling challenge. Those were the gems. And so I went forward, and and and the in this was, you know, years after high school, this is probably I don't know ten years ago, or so I found that these wrestling conventions, these bootleg tables, and they would sell them like Gano fifty or eighty bucks or something like that..

"But in the meantime, I'll just call him a great guest you're going to enjoy this, ladies and gentlemen, joining us on not Sam wrestling this week, the one in the only Booker T, let's hit it then not Sam wrestling interview while back on the podcast, and I can think of no appropriate or more appropriate time than right now to have him back on, ladies and gentlemen, all hail. He is the five time champion of WCW champion of the world. He is the hall of Famer end he's getting ready to get back into a wrestling ring after four years being away. Ladies and gentlemen, Booker T. What's going on, man? What's the halves? Feeling good right now feeling good right now. Getting ready to go into this weekend. Big weekend for reality of more than anything. You know? I'm all of my guys all of my Krugman this'll excited, but it's it's us. It's us last stand. And I and I truly believe that last they're using this is your last. This is the last time you're going to be in your fighting a Andrews from reality of wrestling. And you're obviously, I mean reality of wrestling is your baby, I guess if you're ever if you're going to have a last match anywhere. It should be at the place that you built in created in that you're kind of trying to use to to create the next generation of talent right up. Definitely. I mean, we we like to triple a professional wrestling. We're gonna be the biggest out there. That's doing it from this perspective trying to get young guys at the next level. Rex Andrews is one of those young guys who've been with me since he was seventeen years old. Move from dothan, Alabama, just totally pick of everything and mood. Houston, Texas, learning art of professional wrestling in he's a grown, man. Now, you know, he's made an OT giving me an ultimatum. He's I wrestle. And you go reality wrestling, you know, and I I can't just let and leave without go ahead and give them a little taste of what he wants. But I don't think he's gonna like you take seven. So did he and seventeen. Did he specifically up route? Because he was like I wanna get I wanna go get trained by Booker t this is this is the person that I want to learn under. Yeah. Man. I mean this kid he moved from dothan Alabama and came to Houston, fences, education and can't reality. Wrestling is a grown, man. I mean. Yeah, the business has Jim basis that he that he's doing this doing pretty well, he trains kids to mixed martial arts as well as professional wrestling. And he's he's a kid that I see, you know, high hopes for he's a kid. That I have big big dreams for of making it to the next level. But you always just wanted to be the best reality wrestling in definitely give him props for that. That's going to be crazy pressure. Like, I'd be so worried that I would develop a reputation for myself the way you have and you'd have people moving from other parts of the country. Just today he get trained by you because I'd be I'd be worried that somebody shows up and they're like Booker. I moved all the way from Alabama or wherever else because this is the place that I wanna be and this is the business that I want to be in. And then you're the guy who if they get in the ring, and you can tell right away..

Sam it warms my heart to know that you enjoy talking to me as much as I enjoyed talking to you ever since the time I busted into your studio full bullet club gear the plane where all my own merchandise. That's right with building things, and you still didn't think I was an idiot baby. Not only were you haven't been back. Of course, not only were you wearing all your merchandise. You had you had a luggage full of merchandise ready to cart down to ralway. So you could try to make a couple extra bucks. Let me let me tell you. Let me tell you the payday I walked out of there with. Oh, man. The people say people say they don't do on the Indies, man. I'm ready to prove improve your own we. Yeah, you were kind of the beginning of that. I feel like you were right there at the forefront of making money on the Indies. Right. I mean now, it's almost like people some people say that there's this model that's been set up by other people. But I'm here to tell you I remember the conversations with you about things like the bullet club and things like making money independently in wrestling way before I mean years ago before anybody was talking about everything that's going on. Now, you know, and I love where I'm at love being in the WWE. Of course, that's the that was the main goal of Ian. Yeah. And almost from for years after I win the Royal rumble. But thing is gallows. An I enjoyed it man because I had my new Japan contract it when I go home for two weeks. I was brother and on the weekends. I enjoy getting out. I enjoy professional wrestling. I enjoy seeing the people I enjoy seeing those big crowd. And I'm Joyce Selma merchandise, and it was the, and we, you know, fortunately made a lot of money right right now. And I mean, and that's that's cleared. Anybody? Now, I feel like every time every time we get together. Something special happens within those conversations that maybe we don't know is going to be a special as it is until later on like what we said the first time we got together. And and all this stuff, we were kind of forecasting. What the wrestling world would look like for years to come. Another time. We got together at Caroline's Broadway in New York City. The first thing you and Luke gallows are talking about. And this is before everybody else was talking about. It was the rock and roll express of session. And I feel like now that they've sense gone into the hall of fame. You guys were there for it. It's become a legend that is so much bigger than just a name drop on a podcast. Yeah. You know? And and and like like, you know, you know, and it wasn't just the name drop because we actually you know, I I grew up in North Carolina nineteen hundred four nineteen eighty five. I had I had posters of the rock and roll express all over my room. I remember I used to I had this one postal Ricky and Robert looking out looking at you..

"Com slash. Not Sam rustling become a not Sam shell today. You know, interestingly enough there is no there's no battle Royal this year. You know, the last several years of wrestle kingdom. The pre show has been all about the battle Royal and tons of surprise entrance and legendary entrance, you know, whether it's bad ass, Billy Gunn or juiston thunder ligers this year. The pre show is kicking off with the gauntlet match to to determine the number one contenders to the never open, wait six man tag team championship. And that of course, is the most violent players with to Gucci Versace, Yuji Nagata, Jeff Cobb, and Dave Finlay versus chaos versus Zouqi gun versus the elite which is represented by hangman page Takahashi and Marty skirl, you know. This show wrestle kingdom. I think it's going to be interesting for a lot of reasons. First of all it's being reported at the time of this recording that already right now today, it's officially sold more tickets than they sold last year for this show. There are more tickets sold to this year to rescue kingdom thirteen than there were paid attendees at wrestle kingdom twelve which as I've said, look, I said this going into twenty nineteen the only way to really figure out how you're doing in this life is to think about where you were three hundred sixty five days ago. And have you improved in any way, shape or form, are you better even a little bit? And if the answer is yes, you're crushing. So new Japan wrestling, thirteen more tickets sold even if.

"Well, that's very. Blue's definition. But I would say if you're gonna call the last professional broadcaster Sam Roberts of not Sam wrestling, a Mark I would have to ask would I be a Mark. If I was at home building an action figure arena with my podcast logo on it. Would that make me a Mark would I be a Mark if I was having championship titles made? So I could just walk around with them. What if I did that twice? What have I had to championship belts made with my logo on them? Just so I could walk around and say, I'm the champ. Would that make me a Mark if so well, I haven't done either of those two things, but if that would make me a Mark please tell me in advance. So I don't make myself look foolish because I was going to order a championship belt. And just walk around and call myself. The internet champion or something. I don't know what I would call myself. Exactly. But please let me know in advance. If that would make me a Mark, especially you know, if I sit at home and make an action figure arena with my podcast logo on it. I don't know that makes me a Mark. Let me know because I won't do that. Then if it's okay, then I'll do it. It's all good. But I just need to know. Because the last thing I want to do is be made a fool of once again. By the major brothers. Wrestling figure podcast, by the way, went to Mattel headquarters over the weekend. I was actually the first person believed this or not the first person who does not work for Mattel to get my hands on both the Pete done and Bob back Lind, elite action figures, the first that includes members of the elite squad, I was certainly the first podcast host to have Pete done and Bob back lend in my hands, which was quite a thrill for me. But I would like to say that I saw Bill Makina while I was out there. Who's done my podcast, Bill McKean? And I had a great conversation. He looked good. He smelled good. Oh, just live a day in the life of Bill Makina would be throw for me. What a great dude that Bill is what a great, dude. And I'll tell.

"He spent about three years as a key member of the WWE creative team. Not to mention he's a mega mega wrestling fan, so a lot to talk about with court, and I think you're really going to enjoy my conversation with him. Let's get right to it. The interview for this week on not Sam wrestling is the one and only court bow. Our. The not Sam wrestling interview. Here we are. It's the not Sam studio. And with me here on not Sam wrestling from m. l. w. the podcast network, the wrestling promotion, the the universe court, Bauer back for the first time in a long time us the back, what's going on, man? What's the hats? Your studio has much improved since last. Doing this, so awesome. I seriously every where I looked. This is like wrestling nirvana right here. It's really cool. Yeah, I wanted to feel I just wanted to feel very Sam. Yeah. When you come down here, you know the only thing that interrupts the wrestling flow. Is this knickers? No, I love the sneakers. I'm a sneaker head. So I saw was like, this is the best fusion of wrestling and culture. You can get love it or you're one of the few people that got to see this studio as well as the previous establishment where I was broadcasting from. Yeah, which was by living room table. And you know, luckily you were in Westchester, so you ain't going to my apartment podcast. What's crazy too, and you think about Westchester and all the wrestling history here because you have paulie, you have dreamer captain. Lou captain Lou Freddie blassie lived here. A lot of people aren't scholar, and a lot of lot of wrestling came through here. Some the old guys from eighteen hundreds lived here Muldoon the original headliner for Masdar. Arden in the eighteen seventies eighties so this. That's awesome. It's a pretty hot spot for wrestling. You don't think when you walk around the mean streets of Westchester. Right? It's got some rich history and wrestling, you know, especially, of course he thinking about the McMahon's it's yeah, meeting backyard? Yeah, we're right next. I don't think people realize how close we are to Stanford and all of that. But also the Westchester county center in White Plains is a building that's been running. I mean, WWE WWF wrestling in general for years. Everybody that's lived in Westchester for any sort of lengthy period of time, went there as a kid to watch whatever wrestling was, one hundred percent. I remember going there and seeing WWF and booing the natural disasters as a kid and then see e c w and the promo that Polly got kicked out of the county center for cutting. Yeah, pretty explicit promo in its time and just to see the evolution of you've had Monday night. Rather, I remember going there with a fever as a kid, watching it and like ninety three ninety dollars probably at that raw that was when that was. I mean they would take four weeks at a time, but that was when they did. It wasn't Bret Hart vs one, two, three kid. It was Nikolai Volkov. Versus one, two, three kids. 'cause I tell XBox that now and I'm like, yeah, you remember the match bread. Of course he was like, you were there for that was like, no. I was there for the Nikolai mansion and he goes, oh. I saw a lot of good matches there. There was a great steel cage match. Think with Shawn, Michaels and Marty genetic, something like that. Yeah, it was really good. The old blue, shark k, yeah, really good match. And at least a, like seeing the up and coming guys, they'd have dark matches for an. I remember Tommy dreamer wearing suspenders and baggy pants, sparkling pants, I think making his, I don't think it was his debut, but during a dark match a very young Tommy dreamer before he had the go tea and Westchester zone. Tommy dreamer, of course. And so there's a lot history course EC w. Yeah, I was at that w show the ran the TV Tate. Last one you want and only because and so the Westchester county center, it's in its near us here, but it seats what? Twenty five thousand five hundred..

"Patriotair dot com slash not Sam wrestling, but there are still thoughts about all in to be made thoughts to be discussed dos to be had. And I will talk about those when we get into the state of wrestling as well as everything that went down on WWE this week, but my guest this week. So I'm sitting there and I'm watching all in and I'm thinking to myself about what not Sam wrestling is not just this podcast, but the whole idea of not Sam wrestling the content brand, if you will, what is not Sam wrestling and not say I'm wrestling is a space for me to share my love of wrestling with you and quite frankly for you guys to share your love of wrestling with me. But part of that. Means if I have access to stuff, it's stuff that should be shared and I'm watching all in and I'm very happy for a few people who I know I'm happy for m j f who wrestled in the opening match who I have known for a little while through creative pro and wrestle pro here on the east coast. But I was very happy for my friend, Joey Genoa who I had on the podcast could have been a year ago, maybe more, maybe a little less. I don't know. But a while back, I had Joey Genoa on the show, and this was when he was just starting to pick up steam as the guy who you know, Zan dig. Launched and dig off a roof with himself. I don't know who wants to offer roof. All I know is he and dig jumped off a roof into some barbed wire and light post and everything. Now I've known genera for a long time, but that's really where he started to pick up sort of mainstream notoriety if you will. It was amazing to see him at all in in a featured bout. It was Joey Danila in Chicago street, fight against hangman page. I mean, it's a member of the elite. Somebody who people are like, okay, who's who skirl wrestling? Okay. Who's Cody wrestling? Who were the bucks wrestling who's hangman wrestling and Janetta is the guy, and I didn't realize I was going to happen until it was announced. I certainly didn't realize it was. It was gonna be turned into Chicago streetfight until it was announced. But both of those things play directly into the hands of one Joey Nella and I thought to myself so. What would I wanna listen to this week are not Sam wrestling. What do I want to talk about this week? I'm not Sam wrestling. I would love to hear what's going on in the head of one of the people that was involved with all in specifically somebody who I know and that man is Joey Genoa..

"Situation at least similar to the one that I'm in and that's not to brag that's to say like, I kind of get it. I don't. I try not to take it for granted, and I don't think that I do. And what I do want to do is be able to share that stuff with you and be able to be creative with that stuff. And you know if you if one hour and a half to two hour podcast a week isn't enough is to give you more content. Now from the beginning of this podcast, I made it a point to kind of be independent. You know, there have been offers to join various networks over the years that we've been doing the show the show's been pretty successful. So of course, people have certainly talked, and I've talked to a lug many different people. About networks in and sales forces and all this stuff. And to me, I felt like not Sam wrestling was the one place where I could speak directly to you. I could produce directly for you. It was the one spot where there was no boss. There was no sort of this show. Acts is a directive for this bigger company. Know this show is the whole thing, and this show is really show that I can give you guys access that maybe you normally wouldn't get. That's why we try to tackle it from a fan perspective. That's why we don't always. We don't get cynical very often on this show because there's nothing to be cynical about. It's about celebrating not only pro wrestling and sports entertainment, but celebrating the access that we have to it. And the ability that we now have to create content not only through access, but through. Digital distribution and technology. You know, I've got this amazing not Sam studio inside my house. I've got anybody can use the internet. Anybody can send and receive content. So why not take advantage of all that. And that's why I've always thought it was so important that not Sam wrestling, stay independent, not so much because we're against the system, man, nobody gonna shut us up. We're not following the popular point of view, but more just so that we can do the things that we wanna do. There's no alterior motive to anything to me. The relationship from me to you guys is what this show is all about, and that's why it's and that's all it's ever really been about. It's about talking to these superstars and when I talk or or people in and around the wrestling world, and when I talked to him, I do it from a perspective of of you guys. Have what? What as a fan, what am I curious about? And let's throw it to you unedited on anything and just end just give it to you guys that way when I do state of wrestling, it's, you know, we like to talk about shows after shows, you know the first thing that happens after summer as you start talking to your friends about summer slam the first thing. When you think about what happened this week in wrestling, you just kind of go for it. And that's what I try to make state of wrestling all about is just a conversation that I'm having with you guys about what's going on in wrestling right now and what my opinions are. So in an effort to maintain that relationship with you guys and in an effort to not only. Stay independent, but to be able to start unfolding the not Sam and the not Sam wrestling vision that I have in my head. I started looking around for spots to really expand content to really start expanding content and turn not Sam wrestling into more of a platform where I can I can create, I can bring on collaborators and we can create kind of a whole world dedicated to being fans of wrestling. And I talked to a lot of people. I talked to a lot of people outside wrestling inside wrestling, you know, had long conversations with Bruce Prichard. For example, he and I, from the beginning of him podcasting, he would talk to me about podcasting. I would talk to him about expanding this thing of podcasting and programming in general in everything. "I have a callin show i have a call in show with hold button and a hang up button and if you think i won't hang up on your ass live on stage you are much mistaken mr carter and i want to thank all of you for thinking out loud and public which is the way this sams described thank you for coming sam was thinking i was just talking okay it all boils down here so i am going to jump into the free will discussion of hurt you say samd many times you obviously know control over the circumstances in which are born you have no control of your genetic code we live in a deterministically world i'm just curious from a practical respect them to sounds like released when compatible us on stage can you take pride of ownership or authorship or anything and do you who ever that that's an interesting question i think pride is worth outgrowing certainly i i think i think there's a in a in a symmetry between pride and shame and regret the other social emotions there which seem predicated on the same illusion but not so much i i think you can and again these it how you think as an adult is not exactly the same as what i think you should encourage your children to think is not a matter of line to children as just there are certain things that we as adults understand about the world that we don't insisted little kids understand and for good reason because it would be of terrifying or destablizing or not allow them to get the cognitive emotional tools we want them to get so i but i think pride is he i i mean i i don't feel pride about anything really when i look at how things happen it's just i've i have whatever.

"You'll also hear why robert duvall is the guy and the importance of knowing just what kind of sick you are so pull up a chair and listen in the hey sam hey sam thanks for doing this yeah thanks rare me well you know i've wanted to have you on here for a long time as a matter of fact i think i saw moon in two thousand nine uh well and i wanted to have you on the show even then although you know have a show then yeah and now you've made this film three billboards outside of ebbing missouri his mouthful so when it it is a male's force tell somebody about that title but no it's this incredible film about a woman who wrexham billboards in town to spur the police department into looking into the death of her her daughter and you play this really like not to smart racist ozarks toes arc area casa yet and and i got to thinking that i don't know if i've ever seen you play a cop yeah i only i've never played a cop in a move i played it did law and order it did a cop once but uh that's that's about it so this was really exciting for me it's kind of a red herring into to the audience in know you think it's the comic relief perhaps a benign villain or something but you know and then it turns into something else the since it so much more interesting you know now when you say it's like a red herring is also a way in for you in terms of all i can use that suri audience and i can play that up a little bit so that when he has his turn it could be more impactful like absolutely i mean i joked at the the ark of it is born five turns in travis pickle you know and that's a simplification right i mean it was written that way and he's he's the the trick i think is that he's got be goofy but he has also be dangerous so you have to toe the.
