"For making the call went viral strain for go home could you see important our oldest son or a daughter who's on the top line and then the dinner with the second line center which I think I'm hoping it promised her and Reinhardt and then you have your constant cousins in Thompson and then after that one was our instruments those first two lines is exactly what I said to that you guys in the morning dad thanks for calling in for one or more during what what about the government wants to present they they say that they're looking to get rid of him god knows is hockey thanks for the call Pat okay I I will just say this I like the idea of PD that you brought up this morning and I like what Pakistan although I thought I I think we also have to learn from past history and pasts trials and Sam Reinhart on his own line does not work it doesn't work it's Sam right art at center doesn't work Sam right art away from Jack Eichel doesn't work Sam Reinhart on its own line doesn't work so that is my only hesitation would stand eight Eichel cone and and all of them together it would be great but I just think Sam right art is going to be so awesome that they're showing here telling me right now that Sam Reinhart can not play with a player like Thomas hurdle and Jeff Skinner rob I'm I'm not saying that that wouldn't work but absent from past experiences I don't think stem away from Jack is going to it's going to give you the results that you would be open for yes but we're not talking about the players that he played with in years past when not with Jack we're talking about playing with a player like Thomas hurdle and Jeff Skinner if you can't produce with those two players then we shouldn't even be discussing Sam right here right now we should be talking trade let's grab Larry in clearance and then don't answer his are all very hung up probably had the same start is Pat well it's going to break we'll talk goes on the other side of the break we'll talk more about this on the other side of the break because I think I need to talk the conversation is interesting and I I mean I have an idea for a second line centerman but I I think it's unrealistic and it's impossible but since we're in this in this season of make believe let's go let's go play wishlist aukey instigators when we come back let's say you just bought a house bad news is your one step closer to becoming your parents you'll probably mow the lawn and skip anybody noticed you mow the lawn tell people to stay off the lawn compare it to your neighbor's lawn and complained about having to mow.

"A seminar on the post came right back to you all right there Sam Reinhart didn't really answer that question about whether or not he wasn't coming back as hard as he needed to be it was a long shift to the mid forty two but to me again he's one of the leaders of this team I don't care if you weren't a letter or not like from basically between the red in the blue line area to me it looked like he was coasting his body was straight up doesn't look like a guy to me that's given at all that he's got he had he could have very easily been absolutely shot on the ship totally wiped out and I totally understand it but from an effort standpoint I understand were my Carrington's going with that question there on the replay he's not that far from Larkin maybe he thinks the clocks gonna run out I don't know but for a guy that's supposed to be you know one of the better players on this team there I need more from right hurt even if he absolutely has nothing in the tank I'd like to see that he at least is giving an effort to try to get back maybe he'll never catch Larkin like in a super fast you might not have caught him at full strength anyway but make it look like you are going at it make it look like you're gonna reach out a stick or try to do something dive do something I didn't like the look of that he might have had absolutely zero in the tank and I'm not arguing that but the look of it was not good in my eyes there with the wings getting that goal with point two left back to the room here's one of the goals scores Evan Rodrigues with Pat the.

Sam Reinhart sabres fall seven to four to Montreal officially eliminating the Buffalo Sabres from postseason contention with this regulation lost tonight. Devils have been eliminated in Ottawa Tuesday. The senators have been eliminated home for Detroit. On thursday. They have been eliminated. So it's not going to be very very pretty stuff. Coming up the sabers. Do have a home game a week from Sunday against Columbus. That could be something you look forward to in terms of some meaningful hockey, but nothing for the home team as buffalo again. You know, we haven't had a start late in the last three games. And I give credit to our guys because of the schedule and the travel and losing our having a turnaround against a really really good hockey team. And yet I thought it was a back and forth game. Obviously we came back from being down twice. And then finding a lead it just credit to our guys wish they got rewarded for the hardware tonight. Because I thought they played terrific. It was a great atmosphere. A lot of young guys on our team got some valuable experience. You know how? Fast. The game can be and just unfortunate because they didn't get rewarded for their hard work that sabers head coach Phil Housley. He'll be joining Jeremy coming up at nine thirty this morning right here on WJR Lena's. Hallmark was in net for buffalo. He was good for buffalo. "There's there's a lot of plays that the sabers just need to be better. They need to be better. They need to keep working at it. They need to be a little bit, Hungary or understand that you know. It's hard to win games in this league. We have another call. I missed the name. I think it's John Jim Jim you're on the line with Andrew Craig go ahead. Good morning, boys. I just had a quick thought. I know the goal disallowed the shape. Theodore goal in the first familiar with what I'm talking about. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, two things number one. Thank goodness. A guy thirty feet away was a foot over the line. But the thing that really concerned me. And I I noticed it as a theme in Arizona game. It seemed you know, coming out of the neutral zone that these guys are just giving them zone. They're not forcing the dump it in and fight for it in the corner. And it seemed like I'm back all the guy skates through four players, and they just gave him his own. And I'm wondering what does a young team meets do on the road to clean something like that up? You can't just give these guys zone like that. Well, you know, what there's there's a few things, and you bring up a great point on that goal in pre picked in particular that was that was. Taken back because of the other player being offside in this certain situation. Sam Reinhart is putting pressure on on the puck carrier, which is shaped Theodore he's pushing him to the defensemen. Which is Rasmus doll lean. Here's the thing. Sam Reinhart stops skating gives this guy more space and time on the ice. If you can make two on one's meaning Sam Reinert and miss Darlene playing shape theater. I'm gonna tell you right now. A hundred percent of the time. You're the defenseman there. What do you want? While you want push Louis. Yeah. Why are we going to give time and space? Why would Sam just allow Shaef Theodore off to play a one on one with Russia did a good job of bringing Darlene the outside knowing that much? All right. I mean, you're giving a one on one would have been an absolute highlight reel. If that thing's not called back. But I mean, how about a little, you know, we criticize Tom Wilson for his back in his head. But how about a little love in the backtrack boys? Well, that's. You don't have to look any further. Like first of all Rasmus, Darlene. Got walked on the play. He's young guys gonna learn from that. And he did not play it. Well, but I'm gonna tell you right now. I would be furious right now with Sam Reinhart with the way that he played that every defense you have the pressure the puck in this league. It's walk at all teams at all times. You have to pressure the puck when you pressure the puck players make mistakes. Okay. And now all of a sudden Sam Reinhart doesn't want to work because he wants to sit there and play his position while he should have been pressuring hard on this play, and it would have been broken up because it would have been a two against one and these are areas right here where the sabres are lacking. Into slide way out of position. I mean, it just creates a whole just a whole minute. I think that was McCabe. Right. That's lit across there. Yes. All right. Good call because you have to call instigators Andrew and Craig were just recapping last night's game. Jeremy Roenick gonna be coming up in about fifteen minutes probably won't talk to him about the sabers game. But there's a lot of stuff to talk to him about like how about this Connor mcdavid record for openers. Well, you know, he's he's what like the tenth best player in the game. Now, bring it up. I didn't think we're going to talk about this. We are going to talk about it. And you know, what listen do not do not. Take this guy Mary league. We're we're like, I I didn't think we're gonna talk about this lesson seven games. Austin math music, John Taveras. When Riley everybody. Let's order the rings right now. I super amazing. And now all of a sudden now all of a sudden mcdavid is not the best player in the game. Okay. He's not the best player while you're so lucky he came out, and it's gonna change every year. Opportunity. It's gonna change every year as soon as I saw that last night. I just had a big smile on my face. And obviously, I sent it to you. And you know, what four points. Connor mcdavid has set an NHL record. And and the previous holder of this record was Adam Oates in nineteen eighty six eighty seven season. Adam Oates had a point on the first seven goals scored on his team Connor mcdavid has now broken that record. He's the first player to factor in all the teams nine goals scored at the start of the season. He's he's a big part of this team. He he is a heck of a hockey player. I don't think that he has the same surrounding as what Austin Matthews has in Toronto right now, and he seems to every single year get it done. You. Remember is. Amazing or alarming. And I mean, it's amazing for the game is alarming for the Oilers. Yeah. I mean, listen, I mean, this this he is a special hockey player. Certainly he's playing against the best defenders on every single team every single night. It's undeniable where Austin Matthews I don't think is in that situation. And I think to come in here today and defend myself. I knew I would about my Matthews comment or whatever. But it's don't take anything away from Matthew is I think he's he's a brilliant brilliant hockey player. I think he's one of the top elite players in the game right now. He's done enough for you to be able to say that revenue. Glad he's he's earned that. Right. He's done enough hasn't. He. I I. Radical. He's at two in credit analysis. Start this year. And all I said yesterday all I said was mcdavid is not the best player in the game right now or in the league right now. Is it why I guess my point is, and I really didn't think we'd be talking about this right now. But I guess it's a it's a better conversation than the sabres game last night. So I thought I'd allow you and Jeremy Roenick to pick on me about the conversation chairs coming up in about ten minutes. And all I said was look at what is doing look at what he did last year. He might have pressed for the scoring lead last year. He might have fort last year. I'm disappointed. He got a leaf fan. I'm not a Matthews fan. I'm just because I'd like to see other guys like it's not gonna be Taylor hall every year, you think Kessels going to do what he did last year. Like, I think I think scoring leaders three four five, you know, are obviously going to be interchangeable. I mean over the years, but I I'm starting to believe that the guy that leads the league last year isn't necessarily going to lead it this year. No mcdavid is done at two years ago. Austin Matthews would have. What was his points per game? You're looking at it right there. Right. So sixty three points last year in sixty two games. Probably wasn't on the pace. Right. So. Fair enough, but he missed twenty games. So he missed twenty games. And if I actually I don't even want to pretend like I know what I'm talking about here. But if I if he missed twenty games last year in a row, maybe was a shoulder. I can't I can't remember what he did when he came back if he just picked up with stuff. I know Taylor hall missed some time. There was a scoring streak there that was cut up because of nine games nine games due to injury. But then he comes right back and picks. Right back up. We left off. I can't remember what Matthews did you could probably look it up. But all I'm saying is why is it? Why is it? Why is it not okay to say that? So and so's not the best player in the game right now. He's the fastest. He might have dynamic nights. Like he was away. I look at it as this. In his first year in the league, he had forty eight points in forty five games. So if you would have played the full season like you're talking about Matthew's he would have been over what ninety point around ninety points his second year in the league which was last year for Matthews. He had a hundred points in eighty two games. Matthews was on high high eighties this year or last year. He had one hundred and eight points in eighty two games is he the best player in the game right now. Undeniable is best scorer. It's undeniable. The best score. We're the best point producer. That's point produce. Okay. Best point producer best game. Best player in the game right now. And because Austin Matthews has sixteen points in seven games were now going to flip flop and say that Austin Matthew should be making twenty million. Do you make enough money? If you if you if you have an opportunity to read the what is it appear? Lebron tweet the other day saying star players don't make enough money star players in this league. Do not make enough money. That's funny. That's what you look you look around twelve twelve and a half million dollars. For a Connor mcdavid is not enough eleven million dollars per game. Particular Connor mcdavid in particular, basically saying, you know, twelve and a half not enough should could be making somewhere like it should be making somewhere around twenty. But the system doesn't allow it. Why should he be making twenty if we have a salary cap in this game? So you're gonna tell me that you're gonna have a player on the team that's gonna sign for twenty million dollars. And that's one quarter of your cap. One player. I can I can see I can see where the arguments coming from. I mean because of you know, if you factor in like if he were to be his own entity in the league, if that even makes sense. How much would he get for his cut of jersey sales and not just in Evanston? We're talking league wide. Yeah. Tv rights, right? Because didn't Tiger Woods want TV rights for tournaments because all they promote them. I mean, this guy's faces everywhere every game of the week that Edmonton's playing hammett's, Tim, Tim, Tim. So they slam his face everywhere, everywhere everywhere. And it's kind of like, yeah, I signed up for for this. This is my fair number in the marketplace. But then that's what comes in. And you know, what I thought about this too. When it came along with Jack because you know, when you think about Jack, you think about you know. Realistically was he a ten million dollar player at the time? Maybe maybe not will. He be. Yes. But you think about all the other things that comes along with it. I mean, and you go back to the start of this year carded around to all the different doing the corporate stuff. Face of the franchise like signing autographs doing this doing the the yes, it's Rasmussen yard of the part of the job. But it's also it's also a. Help me it's a task sometimes for for star players. I remember star players never wanted to go do that stuff because they just they had so much going on with hockey that they just they had minimal time to go and worry about all the other stuff in their life like family, and things wife, whatever parents are six something that so I'm getting off topic. But I guess my point is so you somewhat agree with the with the with. I do. But that's that's the agreement in the CBA is fifty fifty split with the players. And that's the agreement that the star players have the star players. You know, the top twenty players in the game. If we can break them down, and categorize them, and they were two separate and say, we want more well that would create quite an issue because now you have seven hundred other players that are gonna pummel. You don't care. How good you are. You know, like they're doing it for the players. So I guess in a way, so if you were to take Edmonton Oilers, and let's just say hypothetically that Connor mcdavid going to get paid. He's going to get the star money. So he gets twenty million dollars who's your second highest paid player if we're talking about now people that sell tickets, we're talking about someone that's gonna help you win games. Who's your who's your next highest paid player?.

"Lander is is one that, you know. I mean, he's a big piece is a super big piece to the Toronto Maple Leafs. They right now of not been able to come to an agreement. So he sitting out miles would a very good player. Nineteen goals last year with the New Jersey Devils had a great great year with that emergence of New Jersey. He's still sitting out you have shaved Theodore Shaffi, or you know, he started in the minors played about sixty games. I think for for for Vegas, and he took off he took off had high twenties. Maybe. Thirty points last year. He had a very very very good season. He is not signed a contract yet. There's there's players out there. Young very young Nick Ritchie for for Anaheim. There's the players out there that have not signed. They're not in training camp. Sam's not the only one. So it's just gonna take a little bit more time to drive the guys you're the Ritchie's. And who else did you say the only guys that would? Yeah, he's he's an impactful player to his team. But he's not he's not in SAM's category. And he's not the two guys that we're talking about our knee Lander and Sam they're they're in a way, they're neck and neck, and and you look at listen Josh Morrissey a defenseman from Vancouver just signed a two year deal. Darnell nurse just signed it to your deal for the Edmonton Oilers. These are two impactful young defenseman the ages the same age as as as Sam they signed two year deals. They're bridge deals. They're both players are making a little over three million dollars. That's that's kind of the the way that their teams chose to go with these young guys. They wanted bridge deals. They wanted to see where where they're where they're level where they can reach. Now. Let me ask you this. So you have William kneeland reportedly asking for eight million. That was that's what I heard. I mean, I might might be often that even if it's seven point five too much. But he looked at his stats. Yes. So we as one hundred and eighty five games. He one hundred and thirty five points you flick over to Sammy is two hundred forty nine games and one hundred and forty points. But in the last three seasons. The last two seasons for sure Neil enters outscored and playing on a better team. I'll give them that. Okay. Playing. Maybe with better players. I don't know more consistent line consistent line. I met him lose Jack. But I mean, are they that far apart that when one signs the other would sign I mean is Neil Landers agent and SAM's Asian. I'm not saying working together. Say that the same guy say, they're they're not. But are they waiting to see what that number is? Does neil. Anders contract affect reinhart's. I have to say it does. I think it probably is. It's it's you know, there's there's a number of players that. I'm sure SAM's agency is is using two for comparables, and you know. Jason botulin the sabers have their comparables. And it's it's about vision. It's about trying to figure out where you want your team in what you want your team to look like not only right now, but two years four years possibly as far as six years down the line, which that's a long time. But you still have to understand where you feel that weren't team is I wonder if we were paying Sam too much money. I wonder if the sabres are more like the high threes on a three year deal or something. Again. We heard we heard the difference was four seven five five seven five was the split. Well, maybe the sabre said to SAM's agent. We'll give you four seven five on a seven or eight year deal. But I'm not giving a six million almost six million yet. And you know and a half four point seven five for three year deal for Sam. I think is I know right around the, you know, he's the reality is he's put up some pretty impressive numbers for his first three years in Nash, National Hockey League Twenty-three seventeen and twenty five goals for for three years in the league is pretty impressive for a young guy. And is there an upside of being higher than that in in in in the thirties? And I think there is you're welcome to call us eight oh three oh, five fifty eight hundred eight five fifty to five fifty the tweets are coming in. He's at Craig fifty two. I'm at beside Craig were just talking right now about what's the latest on the Sam Reinhart contract situation because there's been nothing all you can do is speculate. And all you speculate based off of past experiences of what has been the I guess sticking point for a player in coming to camp, obviously money term but cans on the line. Let's grab. Ken. Oh, Ken hung up. We had Ken and Ken hung up. Ken callback eight. Oh, three. Oh, five fifty eight hundred eight five fifty to five fifty. I think Cam wanted to trade Sam. Which you know what? Listen, if I'm Jason botulin. You don't think you can start the season with your player, right, regardless of how important he is to the team. Are you not saying I have to I don't want any distractions. I don't wanna have to be getting into a contract negotiation or be I don't even want to say the word backed into a corner 'cause you back the Montreal Canadians into a corner you didn't but their situation did with injuries. In my situation. Like I had said before we had in our second last preseason game. So there was only about a week week and a half before we started our season. And that's time that was a time when you know, the the the camp went from eighty guys or whatever it was and they dropped it down to about thirty. So there is only a few guys left. Trying to earn spots are you hijacking? My point with the story. Go ahead. Thank you. Hijack it benefited it benefited me taking the time sitting out feeling I was worth something. And then all of a sudden we had four of our top six defencemen all get injured. So four of our four of our starters myself who is sitting out and another guy. So they were out for needed. They needed D because they were out long-term not long term. But a couple of weeks these guys where they had to now be put in tough situation where they had a phone my agent after that second last preseason game and say, all right. What's going to take for him to get credit camp tomorrow? Oh, it's gonna take this this this and this done. Okay. We'll have the paperwork for him in the morning. All right. For a guy right now, we have John on the line, John. You got call here about the Sam Reinhart contract negotiation. Why contact I think you guys getting a raw deal every time? You talk about on your bringing up his first of the year last year. Every important. I don't think he knew what position he was going to be playing until the morning skate. He was. Center wing, Sarah wing and the second half the year. He put him on the wing and all of a sudden, he's playing great. I think you guys getting Murad deal. I think you only Don, I appreciate your point your, and you know, what you're absolutely right. I'll give you that. But I think I think in this particular conversation, we haven't brought that point into it. But I think in the past we've definitely given him the benefit of the doubt when it comes to that how he was used being used at center rotating, wingers all that stuff. You know, we definitely get that. We recognize that. So we appreciate the call. And I like the way you you back the player. However, I think you're right. I I don't think that pays him more money. You can't sit there and say, well, you know, it's not my fault that you know, what you're drafted as a center. I'm sure there were parts of SAM's first three years here. He's like I really wanna play center. I really wanna play center. I really wanna try being a Centerman. He was drafted as a center while any dominated in junior as a center, why wouldn't the kid naturally want to be played at centre? And I think they protected him the first year, you know, because it's hard to you don't want to expose a kid to center in the NHL at nineteen years old. I think they protected him again the next year took some face offs. But I think last year was the year to really give them a try. And you know, what I wouldn't be opposed to them trying it again. I mean like he was drafted as a Centerman. So. Just to say that. You know, we're not giving him a fair shake. I mean, I I gotta believe that when the coach went to Sam and said, hey, we're gonna try at center Sam. No, no, no, no, no, no, don't do that don't do that. That's not a good idea for you coach because I'm really good on the wing. He's not gonna do that. He's going to embrace the opportunity that got him there in the first place and try to do it at the NHL simple as that John. Thanks for listening. Okay. How's that? Yeah. I I can't. I can't disagree. I don't know if we're ragging on them. I just believe that listen. I mean, there's no excuses for for the way he played. Yes. There could be an excuse made for the sense that he was playing center for the first ten fifteen games. Then he was playing on the third line with different players and he didn't really start to play with Jack until a little bit later on in the season. And then he seemed to kind of catch fire a little bit with with O'Reilly the point is he did not play very, well, he would be the first person to tell you that. So we're not ragging on them. It's reality. He did not play his best hockey. It was a different player that we saw on Sam the second part of the year. And I agree that go back and remind everybody like I hate doing this. But I had the pom-poms going even when Sam was like nowhere to be found last year. You know, like I bake supporter of the kid. I think he's a tremendous hockey player. Wayne Gretzky type vision is what you've always alluded to with Sam. You know? You know, it's funny. It's amazing. How you say a lot of things in two hours for a couple years, and there's just one or two things that you said that two years ago. This guy's thinks the game like Wayne Gretzky, and I've been I've I'm shark. Save me, Chuck Chuck son live here WJR five fifteen MSG with Greg and Andrew what's up Chuck last caller kinda stole my thunder. But to me he needs to prove himself to get that big box. He has consistently enough since he's been up. I just I ever hasn't sold me yet. All right. All right. Thanks for the call Chuck. Yeah. Yeah. Troy it see. That's the thing. This might be one of the trickiest contracts that we're looking at because of all the things that are being mentioned that go against it. But then there's all the things that go for it in terms of, you know, paying and long-term deal because of the potential because of what he's done because of that half season that he gave us last year that just made you think that he was on the brink of superstardom, but he was on the brink of stardom. I mean, that's a you know, you keep that pace the way he was going. That's a seventy plus point season. I mean, we re praised David Pasternak for numbers like that Tyler Sagan, you know, all this time and money and effort spent on on praising him and he only had seventy points last year yet forty evermore goals. But I you know, like I feel like he does he he continues at that rate. We talk you're on a different you're talking about a totally different hockey. But we talk about Sam Reiner. Would you trade him? I wouldn't be trading him. I think that he's a he's. A young player that is developed himself into a nice asset for his hockey team this contract. We'll get done is just gonna take a little bit longer than than I'm sure both sides would have liked. But you said it used you just set it right now. I hope I hope because I'm not sure if I fully have the confidence, but I hope Sam as that guy that we saw in the second half of the year, and he he can give us a full year like that he's giving us a full year like that. And he's on that same pace he's going to be seventy points. Plus what happens with Jack Jack is on pace for eighty five points. Jeff Skinner is gonna be on pace for sixty five. Plus and maybe thirty thirty thirty five goals. I mean, everybody benefits when when people are playing well together, and this this team needs it, and listen, I mean this team is a work in progress. This isn't like all of a sudden, hey, we got scanner and cheery and all these guys and suboxone and burgling and all of a sudden now now, we're great. There has to be work done to have these guys understand how to play together you have to find the chemistry within the guys. The big boys. They have to they have to produce each and every night Marty Buron got a chance to catch up with the guy. I would love to hear the news break that he has been signed to an extension. He's chatted with Jeff Skinner guys even play the game in a sabres uniform yet, and I'm telling you to sign an extension. I just liked the player can wait to see what he does with the team mardi talked to him. We'll hear from Jeff Skinner coming up here after the break WJR five fifty MSG. "What's going? On sky you? Wanna talk about Sam Reinhart Yeah look I think Last year they played an experiment. With in the throw he could make a difference and be a. Point. Score, down there Kick it out whether he could play on the wing Whether it could Get out was that as other skilled players, to get active All right Got, it hey are? You there are you still. There Scott Yeah? Yeah Regards, contractors, well, like The role that he, can play, gonna talk six row you'll get you caught in the second. Half of last. Year that's what changed did you put him in that role for the? Next, year On a short term contract what's that gonna do longtime. For the paint. Because the a score sixty to seventy points in that role What's a sixty to seventy point Can out long time now for five and You have sixty or seventy point guard Well paid I like. We're gonna be doing shows from Australia. Soon I'd go down. Under you gotta bring me so I've been trying to. Go see my brother I won't be listening on the app third year Sam Reinhart he starts at center for the first ten twelve games Right from the ten twelve game Mark he went to the third line right wing so he tickled. Around on on the lower lines, but when he got. An opportunity like Scott said his, point total skyrocketed in the second half of the year if we. Put Sam, Ryan hard on the top two lines to start this season what point. Totals. Are we looking at for Sam Reinhart yeah. Twenty five goals and fifty points is Scott right. In in the sense that Sam Reinhart is a sixty to. Seventy point hockey player and if he is that guy And you sign him to a two year deal where are you after the two year deals if he's getting. "Don't we. Have other guys that you believe we can have, guys score from those areas that. Sam Reinhart, kademi Sam Reinhart is a guy that I would love to, put in front of the net and let them grind it out and you know get those nitty gritty. Dirty goals there that he has done in the past that's that's one of the type of players that I would want to have is a. Guy like Ryan how to do that and we've got. Other guys that can do that I think that could be easily compensated for Reinhard not being able to do that but yes certainly I agree with your point. Where we'd like to see Sam Reinhart be able to grow his game. Even more and be able to play outside of, the just the dots in downloading. Around the, gold, just because if a guy that Sam Reinhart kind of When when we drafted him I. Was hoping that the ceiling that I really wanted him to be was Patrice Bergeron that's the name, I always heard. And that got me super but Patrice Bergeron can score from anywhere on the. Ice it doesn't matter if it's the blue line or in, front of the net or behind the net he scores goals and that's exactly what type of player that I wanted Sam Reinhart to be and if he's not. Doing that and it's kind of concerning you know who I think he's actually more maybe a better. Comparable to and I. Think Jason Bochum maybe sees this, in him and that's why he likes him I think he's similar, to? Patrick, conquest in Pittsburgh guy that's in front of. The net lake story talented player can rival. The puck can pass the puck but like he's money is made from the front, of. The net right. Oh -actly that's maybe a better comparison to, me, and because Baccio comes from Pittsburgh were horn quest has been, a? Very good player since they, acquired him in what twenty fourteen yeah. Four years ago like I could see why he would say okay I want this guy to be a part of my full right but like. Like you said I think I can compensate for that.

"I bet the term I bet the money would maybe be a little bit better, but we'll see what happens there. But I, I certainly think Sam Reinhart the type of player that he is. Yeah. Again, he doesn't have the greatest of foot speed. He's not the fastest of guys, but, but the way he's just reads everything how smart he is. I think that definitely helps with his, potential of being. On this roster for the long term just because he's one of the, very few guys that has proven that he can keep up with. A guy like Jack Eichel I mean we've talked about it quite a bit last, this past year where man Jack. Eichel so, good people want people on the ice his teammates watch him play. And. Then, when Jack wants to make a play set. Him up there kind of lagging, behind, 'cause they're just like in of what Jack able to do But with, a Golic Sam Reinhart he reads everything he's able to read where the, plays maybe, going to go really well he's a guy, that can play with Jack. And obviously score some goals he can get to, the front of the net and he can. Be a good player for the net when he wants to But the question of. Putting him at centre or wing I know Jason patrol said, that Sam Reinhart might potentially have the chance to be a. Center still I just wanna throw that out the window I think. That he should never play center again just because of what we saw last year to. Start when they tried putting him. At center and then when he ended up going back, to the wing he started struggling just trying to get. His feet under him that was the biggest thing was to get his feet under him and. He did eventually, that was the winter classic nears days sort of that time period he got his feet under him and from there he really, played? Well on the wing whether he was playing with Jack. Eichel a rhino rally I think he should, be playing with Jack Eichel along with Connor Sherry on the left wing but you know Sam Reinhart is probably going to. Be in the mix here and I trust Jason botch will to get. A deal done what what whatever deal he gets for Sam Reinhart should be fine I don't want to sign him for two.
