"Hey that guy's got juice. Let's do change the entire direction in the course of my family's life. I can't be excited though the now. Don't even think in deir. Are you kidding me. Are you all that just happened. Everything i just said there and more is potentially happening that one play dalian fucking thinking. Get your fucking ass back in the hut barry sanders. Hey barry sanders he. He'd scored touchdown and he just handed the ref and he was gone. Why don't we well bear. Centers also heisman right. There was also scorer. And there's another thing barry. Sanders was unbelievable. Worked his ass off. Let's get crazy embarrassed. Sanders had the ability to act like he had been there before because barry sanders by the way had fucking been there before it made it barry sanders the way he goes about businesses and how everybody goes about business. Maybe there's a lot of different stories. A log different situations a lot of different life events. Somebody acting differently than somebody. That just acted you know almost robotic while being one of the most exciting and electric players in the history got nothing but love for barry sanders. Let's not get crazy but there's a lot of people act like you've been there before it's like you think this motherfucker been scared eight people and maybe changing tire like he can't be excited aren't a game of emotion. Are we a game of excitement. Why is this a fucking penalty aketao remnants sitting on a chair being cool. You became my commissioner. You are you are my commissioner when you dancer fucking out your sock slide. You're fucking out. We don't want anything we want. Robots know most everybody hated. You then raj hated. You understood why you're trying to take the fun out of the game. You're doing it because you wanna be able to just plop em- play you didn't want to have to have players be brand names because then you could replace them easily okay. Honesty on the business side of it but we all agreed. That tribe has spoken that the games better when people are excited. Something's are too much all some things are way too much there. Some dances that happened. That looked a little bit more like basketball. Where we're all like. There's no way that can happen with full line. We get those some but it added to the game. The excitement added everything now. Taking away this making it a point of emphasis and i'm not saying that there should be agree. Gis if something happens. They should penalize them. Yes please. it's not for the good of our game not for the good of the league. Not good for fans good for anybody understand. That's going to happen but a point of emphasis means hey. We're cracking down on this. Because we don't want to happen anymore in why are we targeting that as opposed to targeting something else. I'll never understand my commissioner roger. Goodell is going to get to the bottom of this if sam acho doesn't do it. I say sam macho told me on up this morning. he's still players committee. He's gonna change this thing around. I appreciate the family doing that for all of us. Thank you saw because the overwhelming mike. Hey this rule fucking stinks from everybody. You think there is a real chance it before the season now. That is not the way once something gets in there. I think it is normally at least a year because even if you start telling them they have a lot of what i think we all have if you tell me if you tell me yeah there's a good chance like if everybody's telling me there's a good chance it's like okay. I'm not fucking doing that. Too all right on my time. You know that's kind of how the nfl. Yeah that's the. Xfl thing didn't have to happen to you. Know the review system didn't have to happen until bub-bubba the skycam you know that came in from blah blah blah. The rules that they initiate always coming down here on our on our time. It's our league. Let's not let these motherfuckers outside. Run wake is probably what is being said but boy it'd be great if they did just open up you know. They probably still use the old school projector. If somebody could just put a slide in there of a couple twitter feeds of what people are saying about this. Maybe that would make the league a little bit better. But they have so much to worry about which i understand. It's not easy running league the biggest league to greenwich league on earth. But why is this what we are trying to focus in on major league baseball. Who has the worst commissioner. In the history of sports he actually called the trophy that all the teams in the league that he commissions the piece of metal or something like that he's embracing like. Hey we're allowed to. Sports are allowed to be fun. It doesn't have to be surgery. It doesn't have to be cure. Curing some disease abrasion rob manfred is acknowledging that and somehow as soon as walt gets in there. He's i act is. Nobody's happy on our fucking field that whole life. That just changed for benny lemay. Don't don't want to hear about it pal. Get your ass back into the huddle because we got a referee here to look in the beach. I mean he was rally out quick fast..

"You're going to be able to get tickets like you've never been able to get tickets and i'm talking about through the team. Not through the aftermarket for ten bucks as we all know in recent years you've been able to go to game certainly after the mid point of the season for fifteen bucks or less in a good seats. They are in a mode of operation that they've never been in before they are aggressively trying to get fans they're trying to acquire customers. You know it's almost like a new start up business. They are in the customer acquisition business and by the way that can be very expensive. And i think it's going to be so interesting to see how aggressive they are and how creative they are in trying to get people to come to the games getting people to watch the games and then to what the results of that are like. I would expect the the chargers opener to be a pretty good crowd right in two thousand eighteen. The home opener against the colts remember after they had beaten arizona in the opener in alex smith. First game as a washington redskin and then remember adrian. Peterson's first game he ran for one hundred yards. People excited are. We got a quarterback. We got running back and they came home and there were like forty eight thousand. Maybe fifty thousand at the game on a beautiful sunday afternoon. One o'clock game against the colts. That was weird. That was another one of those. My god it's not anger. It's not you know people being pissed off. It is total total apathy. But i you know. I think watching how they market themselves and then watching what. The results are obviously winning on the field will drive the most in terms of results but How it plays out early in the season with some optimism about the team. I think will be interesting but the business of the team is going to be there for all the see. It didn't used to be. They will be aggressive in marketing and selling themselves like they've never been before. I hope that personally manifest itself from a pr standpoint with you. Know more accessibility to The team to the coaches to the players. But you know when training camp starts but certainly when the regular season starts they have not been the most you know accessible in recent years they should be there in the mode that the other teams in town are in. They should be doing everything they can do. Customers the other Topic i wanted to get to is something that sam acho said this morning. Who was sam macho will. He's a former player in the nfl and he is an analyst on espn. I think i know who he is but this tweet this morning. Got a lot of attention especially among washington. Football fans sam macho was on greenberg. Show get up this morning. And after his appearance on the show he tweeted out the following. He said y'all jeff saturday who was on the show with him. The former colts senator who's been in. Espn nfl analyst for awhile now. He said jeff. Saturday just accused me of being high on national tv. And you know what he's right. I am hi. I'm high on the washington football team being the biggest challenge for tampa bay in the nfc. Coaching and culture teamwork in talent. Washington has what it takes. So he's not the first there have been others. You know certainly people locally and plenty of people nationally that are very bullish very high on washington this year and i was thinking about that as i have several times in this off season and i am wondering why and i'm also trying to put it in sort of a realistic Perspective first of all look. You shouldn't care. And i don't care that much. It just makes for good conversation in july. What other people inside the market or outside the market i would take more of what people inside the market that you trust and believe in believe about the team more than people outside the market but there is optimism. You know i said this recently. I think there's more optimism about a season. There's been since two thousand thirteen twenty sixteen was a house of cards because i think we knew they could be good offensively but defensively. They were just not very good. They just sucked defensively in twenty fifteen two thousand sixteen and in two thousand seventeen so this is different though because they've got really good talent on defense as we know and they've got some good young talent on offense but if you're picking as a national pundit or anybody if you're picking washington to be a significant nfc champion contender championship contender. Only tampa bay. Come on you can't be basing that off of the team you watched last year in. This is the point that i wanted to make. We've got to get some realistic perspective. On what last year was last year that was an average football team in a terrible division playing a weakened schedule they were seven and nine. We know the seven wins in the quarterbacks they faced. They were not a good football team last year. They were an improved football team. They were more sound fundamental. Well coached football team and yes. There is young talent on the team. They've been acquiring it on defense specifically the last couple of years and they were improved and was great about last year is while they weren't a good football team they were very average football team They got incredible experience playing a game at the end of the year to win the division on national. Tv in this sunday night. Finale and then they got a chance to face. Tom brady in a playoff game. That's great experience. But if you're picking washington to be a major contender in the nfc eight can't be because of what you saw last year. It has to be something else if you say. I like that team. Last year team won the division last year. That team really pushed tampa last year. Chase young montanez sweat jon allen. You know they were hurt at quarterback instill they won the division. No if you watch that team it was an average football team and by the way defensively improved. But good not great if you think. Washington is a legitimate playoff winning team. Like they're going to qualify for the playoffs is the division champion. And they're going to win a game or two then it's because or it should be because they had a really good off season and you believe in the quarterback. They did have a good off season. This should be the reason that if you're more excited and optimistic about team it's because they literally added good players to almost every need that they had coming off of last season. They needed offensive lineman. They added leno. they added cosmi. They added Flowers they kept sheriff even though it was very expensive. But he's a great culture guy and he's the best offensive lineman they have they have him coming back at wide receiver. You had some issues. You added curtis samuel. You added adam humphreys. You added yami brown. You needed secondary.

"He helps his players win by telling them what's going to happen before it happened. Let me ask you this Sam Macho when we get to Bruce Arians. You got to be with them for, you know, first of time when you look at your stops Described to me as a player, your perspective of B, A and what he means to you. B A is he's confident he you know, the word that comes to mind is swag. He has a lot of swagger confident. And he He doesn't mind ruffling people's feathers. Prime example. When I was in Arizona, my 30 in the NFL, we had a receiver by the name of Larry Fitzgerald. Larry was a superstar in Arizona still is going to be in the Hall of Fame. Many people in that organization right at coaches who were on the team the year before. Wouldn't challenge Larry. That's no offensive. People say he knows what he's doing. He's got it figured out. Let's let him do his thing. The minute be a stepped into the building. Larry was the first one getting cussed out, getting yelled at getting called out similar. If you remember Tom Brady had those same Experiences If you remember early in the season, people said, Is it gonna work? The A doesn't care who you are. He knows what he wants and goes. He knows how to get the best out of everyone. He always says. I need my five star players to play like five star players. Five star players like Shack Shack. Barrett, the fact leader last year. Five star players like J. P. P five star players like Tom Brady by star players like Mike Evans. I've start playing five star players like Chris Godwin. Five star players. Need to play like five star players. And so he not only instills this confidence in you, but he holds you to a higher standard, the standard of which you are capable and expected to play weekend and week out. I also think his coaching staff is just so awesome to see men women. Black white doesn't matter. He finds the best coaches and I think what makes him so unique. He allows delegation to occur on the staff. You know, some coaches could be their soul of stock on one side, the ball they don't want their coordinators actually do their job. It seems as if being a Yes, he has control over everything, but he's okay and let his coaches actually do what they're paid to do. If you look it If you look at his offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, he called Byron calls the place. If you look at the defensive coordinator Todd Bowles, Todd Bowles has full control over the defense. If you look at the special teams coordinator Keith Keith calls a special teams. He delegates, all of it, every single coach and all those coaches or black number one, so he doesn't care that there's only three black head coaches in the NFL. He doesn't care that Some owners are hiring black coaches, he says. I'm gonna get the best guy for the job and you look at some of the woman he has on staff. We have that there's a strength coach named MJ Morales, her first name. She's a full time strength coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Also, there's a defensive line coach named Laurie. She's another full time coach for the team B A doesn't care. He breaks barriers and he's done it. Every single stop. He's been at back in Arizona. He had Harold Goodwin, we call them Goody Goody was the offensive coordinator, Another black man who's calling plays. Remember, Arizona had a top offense. Once again and who was the defensive coordinator, Todd Bowles. And so it goes on and on and on. I just hope I love what I see. I just hope that owners and decision makers will take notice, and they won't just think this is an anomaly. Where did the chief's go from here? Sam Macho. I think they could very well. So be back in the big game next year, But when you lose the Super Bowl, how did they recover? And how did they try to get better this all season? After my home, had an interview after the game, and and we saw him, saying he's determined this loss is going to fuel him for the future. And so I'm not worried at all about the Chiefs, and no one should be worried about the chief. The energy should be worried about anybody only team that he should be worried about his Tampa Bay, the only team I believe that can beat Kansas City. Tampa Bay. And so I think Kansas City is going to be back next year back in the Super Bowl, and I think if it's if it's anybody besides Tampa, they're winning it. And if it's Tampa again, what we see may see the same result we saw this year, but the Chiefs aren't going downhill. Have a young core young nucleus. A great offensive line. They're gonna get Schwartz back. They're gonna get their offensive line back. They're gonna get higher kills. I'm going to do what he's doing. Travis Kelsey still has time on his contract. They have nothing to worry about. Sammy Watkins will be healthy, so that Patrick Holmes is in is he just finished third year in the NFL. They have nothing to worry about. Outside of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. When you look at Brady just to hear that a guy is 43 years old, just won his seventh ring. I know nothing should surprise us at this point, but how, and I know that they were not a dominant force in the rec regular season but to see them with the end result. No, it wasn't a seamless transition, but he basically made it seem like one because he still walks away with the trophy. How impressive is it as a player to just see what this guy is able to an Ali do but just get better with age. This stuff doesn't happen. Seven rings. Let's let's start their savory like who has seven rings. We talk about Jordan being the best. Right. Michael Jordan. I wanna be like Mike Michael Jordan the best. Michael Jordan had six rings. We talked about Kobe once again. Another. You know another one of those names talk about being the best. Kobe didn't have seven rings. LeBron, another one of those names. Iran is still is he's older as well. And still and still getting better. Maybe you'll get upto 67 rings. Maybe not. Tom Brady has seven rings, and he's got more to go. So I'm impressed The fact that he's 43 years old and playing his best ball. I'm impressed that That he went to a different team, a different culture, a different coaching staff, and he was humble enoughto work with them to find a way to When you look at guys like Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Rodgers won three MVPs That's amazing. That's phenomenal. He only has one Super Bowl. Tom Brady has seven. So talk about team over me. I think that's the prime example. So there's no doubt that he'll get another one in your mind. Oh, no doubt at all that she stays in temple. What? Why? Why? Why would he not? Todd Bowles was going anywhere. That defense isn't going anywhere. Shacks not going anywhere. Jpp is not going anywhere. Devon White's not going anywhere. Levante. David's not going anywhere that young secondary remember last year, they said all of their young secondary, they're still trying to figure it out. Sean Murphy Bunting's not going anywhere. Antoine Winfield Junior is not going anywhere. Jemele Dean's not going anywhere. Carl. Uh, Carl date, Colton Davis Jr is not going anywhere. Nobody in the secondary is going anywhere. Vita Bay is not going anywhere. Sues, probably ask for a raise, but he's not going anywhere..

"Hour. This show is flying by Tom Brady. Tampa Bay Fucking Here's How about that? Super Bowl champions. Wow. We're coming to you live from the rocket board. Get studios. You need certain to the home buying process. The loan that fits your life. Rocky, can I think I just said third and final hour. We still got one more hour After this. You get what I'm trying to say. I'm still love living in a sense of euphoria. After TV 12 got his seventh ring last night, the greatest of all time. And how about that? Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense? That was ridiculous. I thought the bucket is we're gonna win the game. You could have given me I don't know. 347 guess is none of those two engine and 47 guesses. What had me saying that Patrick Mahomes in the chief's offense would have been held out in the end zone in that game. Chiefs only get nine Points in the game last night, and they were all field goals. That's really something. All right, let's head out to the guest line right now. Welcome, and Sam Macho. The former linebacker, played for the Cardinals the Bears and also did spend a year in Tampa Bay. He also has a book out. Called had to be real in the world to fakes. We'll talk about that in the podcast as well. And if you recall right when it was announced that Tom Brady was gonna enter free agency, and Tom Brady wasn't coming back to the Patriots so much it was on the show, and he predicted that Tom Brady was going to Tampa Bay. Sam, how you been appreciate the time. I've been good, Zach. I've been good man. I predicted he was going attempt. I have some sources. I wish I could have predicted the 30 31 29. Uh, but that was a great game. Did that surprise you last night? Not that the Bucks one, but just the way that that game was a blowout last night. Yeah, with a little bit surprised. I wasn't shocked. Obviously, I look a storyline. So when you look at what was going off throughout that week, nothing to do with my homes and his injury and him limping throughout the game. But more so, looking at what happened with Andy Reid and that son and and just it just seemed like that team wasn't really dialed in. Not only from a player perspective, but from a coaching perspective as well. I've been on teams. We've been to the national championship game one year and then next year. You almost see this kind of drop off of this idea. We're not just the players with the coaches are letting things slide and, of course, No one's going to admit that, but at the same time you got a team like tempo that's hungry. Hadn't been there and 18. Not 18 years, 19 years and you got a guy like Tom Brady's trying to build a legacy? Of course, they're gonna come in determined not to be distracted. I know it's easy to look back at it now, but the confidence and it wasn't allowed confidence, but they gave you some hence throughout the week. I'll just start off of Brady before they even won that game. He's talking about how they're going to be better next year. That probably should have been assigned. Tell us that the Bucks are definitely gonna win this game. Yeah, look at that stuff, and I got some friends to play on that team. Apparently, some of the guys on the team got a text saying the night before from Tom Brady, saying we will win this game. Number one talk about people talk about subliminal messaging. We will win this game. And the wind didn't start. On Sunday didn't start the night before with the text message. It started when Tom Brady first signed with the team, and he found every player's number and reach out to every single player to build that relationship to build a bond. Yes, there was no okay, I get that. I understand. There was no training camp Igor minimal. No preseason game, minimal training camp. I get that I understand. We were social distance. I get that, but this dude was determined to win. He was going to do whatever it took to do it. Sam Macho here with us. Where was the belief level last year? You were a part of that team. You guys had a very good roster. But can you take us through some of the thinking in that locker room last year on what type of team you guys thought you had going into the season? Well, we were the belief level was not there. And here's what I mean by that Bruce Arians. His beliefs level is through the roof. This confidence level is sky high. Every team has been on no matter where he's been. He's always finished with At least a winning record eight or eight or better, And for the first time, he actually was shocked. We finished last year seven and nine. We had a chance to be eight. Nate. We lost the last game and he was shocked, he said. I've never been on a On a team with a losing record and as a team that I coach, it's It's never happened before been head coach And so he said. We're turning this thing around and they knew exactly what they needed to get there. They From from players to staff. They all said, We are a quarterback away. And some people might hear that and say That's a knock on Jamie's Winston, right? You may be right in saying that, but more so they were a quarterback who believed away right? It's one thing to have a quarterback. That's nothing to have a quarterback, a leader and veteran Who believes, and so once Tom Brady signs up, Everybody else signs up. We're not just signing up this practice harder to work out more. You're signing up to win a Super Bowl. That's why all this coaches they're saying that's why nobody wants to leave. Everybody wants to be In Tampa next year, because one they just one but two, they know they can win again and again and again, as long as Tom Brady is the quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, every player every coach, every administrator, every person in that building. God only knows, but believes they will be playing for if not winning a Super Bowl. Sam Macho, let's get to the defense Todd Bowles put on just an absolute masterpiece. The defense from Vita Vita Jpp. Levante. David Shack, Barrett, Devon White, the Dominic and still I go on and on on and till I Antoine Winfield Junior. It was. I know that the chief had offense align issues, but How you basically made Tyree kill a non factor. You like Kelsey get his yards, but he couldn't get in the end zone, Emma Holmes to have two interceptions and no touchdowns. I know that defense is great, but they put on their best performance of the season. That's saying something because they just took down Rogers and breeze right before that. Yeah, well, Todd Bowles is the mastermind. He's a defensive genius. He's One of the if not the most brilliant mind and football, And here's why I say that I've been on a Todd Bowles coach team for three out of my nine years, a third of my NFL career 33.33 repeating. Set of my career. I've been on it. Todd Bowles coach defense and not only were we the smartest defense if you will on the field obviously number one run defense in the NFL multiyear. And also the top five defense, But Todd Bowles specifically, he knows what's coming before it even comes and that means something for two reasons. Number one. He'll call the play. They'll call his defense in order to stop the play that he believes is going to happen. So he puts the players in a position to make plays, period..

"Of course, radio dot com and serious except Channel 206 Take this would be an interesting conversation. And we're joined now by Sam Macho and he's an author. He's a He's a linebacker. He's an interesting guy. You know, the Accio crew, the actual family and Sanders with this here, Tio, start our number two up San Kiki and Tierney. How you doing today, buddy? What's happening? Tom Grace, fellas. Y'all doing man doing real well, and I say we see your book is coming out today, and I'm really interested. You know you're free agent linebacker right now. Just reading an article about how A lot of you. You guys, You struggled this offseason to find work. Probably because you couldn't go see anybody on We'll get into that in a second. But your book let the world see you is the title Lovett. What prompted you to write this book? I mean, you're young man. What's the message? Yeah, well, this the message of the book, It's simple. It's the fact that we are more than meets the eye. This book is really about what it means to show people who you really are, whether as an athlete or an artist or a mom or Ah, husband, whatever the things that make you who you are talking about what it means to be seen. That's really the core of this book. Often people But get put into boxes, right? We're football player. You're Ah, you're this You're that It's like no, you are so much more than meets the eye. So it's about what it means to be seen and then to be known, And then lastly, Most importantly, to be loved. So this so this isn't a spaces in a sports book, per se. I mean, this is this is about this is a deeper understanding of an individual. Itjust helps that you used to play football and it gives you a platform to jump off from is that is that is that how I should read it. Absolutely, yes, Not that It's not a sports book, in all, its really a book about emotions. And why do we hide and one of the things that we hide from? And how do you learn how to deal with things like you talk about, you know, anxiety in shame and fear and doubt. And the freedom that can come when you let the world see you. It's funny. I used to always hide right as a little kid. 13 years old, not even had to go through. Remember getting made fun of getting talked about advocated 13 year old and I remember I would going out would hide in the bathroom stall. Because I don't want to get laughed at made fun of, and it was like a once a week being at our church group we're going to and and I would go on out hide a bigger church. We goto and so every every week that became a scene. And so now, 31 32 years old. I'm not hiding in bathroom stalls, I would catch myself. Hiding within myself out of my teammates, right? You know, I'm a Christian, right? So God save me Get mad, They would say, Well, Sam, your Christian Christian supposed to get angry. What do you do it that a curse? What? I just heard what's going on, and I didn't know what to do. I didn't know howto reacted obviously football, the physical sport field of competitors, and so I would just hide. I wouldn't show people. My anger wouldn't show them my You know my sadness fear But what happens is when you cut off one emotion. You cut them all off there. You can't decide what emotions you show. So it wasn't until I got to a point where I was sitting down with a friend a week before training camp. And I think I just enough was enough, right? The weight of the pressure I've been trying to put on myself to put on these figurative. Matt was it couldn't handle any more, and I found myself. In tears myself in tears and one of my friends before training camp. He looks at me..

"A bit of bridge those gaps and break that bear you I know that I grew up with a lot of white people going to school but my church and it was around a lot of black people and even go away my parents from Nigeria traveling Nigeria every summer, so there's understanding of different cultures always had that in meat. But this time when I really noticed it was twofold. One in college Father. My best friends were all from different countries. So one was from India wants from China that wants from Bulgaria almost from East Texas. From Mexico. Those my five That's right. So at that point, I understood a while. There's affinity towards Different people coming together. But when I got to the NFL that's not really saw, especially doing some of the would invite teammates over to my house. And it would be a packed house 2025 people would come out would come over gay nights or Or, you know, we do Bible studies or different things, and it just became the thing that was easy for me and really, really enjoyable. And we should realign back here just for everybody who doesn't know Sam Macho like you should O R. Could he? Of course you went to Texas ut hokum. Austin isn't you know a very liberal if you will, you know, college town but also in Texas. So that's why bring that up. You know it, Sze. I've worked down there. It's a great great city, and then you go to Arizona. Start with the Cardinals. Then you're in Chicago. And then last year with Tampa so and when you were in town here before, salmon, and still, of course you're you know, I I see you doing stuff all the time. Still in Chicago, you've had an impact here for For quite awhile. I'm curious like how you know being out with you went around with Jason Heyward and Jason Kipnis and Jonathan Tase and Mitch and Alan Robinson. How do you feel? This is going as faras bringing the community bringing police officer's bringing people of influence like yourself together in the conversation, are you Would you say you're satisfied? You disappointed? How do you think it could be better? You know, just summing up so far how it's gone. What would you say? So far. I'm extremely encouraged about a week and a half ago. I know everyone was in turmoil and you were still upset and frustrated and confused, trying to figure out what to do to help our society. Be better, and I was thinking about. As I mentioned the gift of bringing people together. I said, What if I brought some of the athletes of all these teams together to do something for a community? Whether be protests? Which could be positive when there'd be no donate money was deposited, rather be going and sitting and listening to keep to hurting, which could be positive and that's what we did last week we got together. And it was. The idea came on a Monday in 36 hours later, we had as you mentioned Jason Heyward cave, Uh, Malcolm Subban as well from that from the Blackhawks. We had Mr Big Ski. Alan Robinson, Ryan Arcidiacono from the From the Bull's. We had max troops from the bowls and also two guys who went to Northwestern. Both play in the NFL right now, Tyler Lancaster, not their car, and we all got together. We went to the west side of Chicago. We just fat. And we lifted We sat and we listen and we just heard some of the pain that the kids are going through. Obviously. Their situation on the west side of the South already bad, but because of Colbert and because of some of the racial tension in turmoil, that situation got became dire. And so for us it was I'm really encouraged agility and what people came together and also we went back. We went back a few days ago to go fit, Listen more to those kids and hear about what their dreams are for the community. And I don't want to make this. Ah, whole kumbayah moment here, But I also do wantto like I think when you have these conversations stand correct me If I'm wrong, you realize that people who come from completely different backgrounds who might have completely different thoughts coming into the conversation end up kind of pretty much wanting the same thing. It's just a matter of actually having the conversation. And getting to know someone. And then all of a sudden a bunch of doors that you think are close end up opening up. That might be too Polly Anna. But does that make sense? No, that That's actually exactly what happened. Most most of the players you heard that cave was usually one white guy, One black guy with a Robin with Dave and Sue Bond. Man and kid, Nicks and Hayward and anyone the Bulls. You had one guy who was Italian and one white guy. I mean, it's like, gosh, Mr Background. All came. We heard the same thing from a lot of these kids, but we want our community. The girl. We need people to invest in our community to understand what we're going through. Just because America looks looks great from their perspective doesn't mean we're living in the same America where we have a completely different experience When people understand that We need people to come alongside us and help us make America better. And you've mentioned it a couple times already today, and I know your brother is big on this, but the phrase of having the uncomfortable conversation for those that are either too afraid or don't know how to approach an uncomfortable conversation. What would you say? What would your advice be to them? Tio approach that and just not make. It seems so. So scary or so confrontational and more of like a learning experience because I think that's one of the things that people have trouble doing. I would say. Don't be afraid. I think oftentimes we fear from these conversations. I do a podcast with some friends. We're talking about this The other day. One of my friends. She works on the ESPN. Samantha ponder. She was talking about her daughter and how She was in a subway in New York and her daughters saw an African American girl with dread. And she had never seen drugs before. And I allowed, she blurted it out. One of those. What is that? And most people don't know. Be quiet. Don't say anything, but I know that you're here. Isn't it? Beautiful? Isn't it beautiful? So this idea of looking at someone who looks like you and saying that? Isn't that beautiful? Isn't she beautiful or he beautiful. There's there's beauty in being different, and I think that's where those conversations coming to play understanding that. Because you don't look like me or you don't like me. Talk like me. Doesn't mean I should be afraid..

"Well say you oppose. They're very hard to study and the reason is they don't appear in any pattern. All right. You know, you could do experiments in the lab with almost every other science kind of thing. You go out, You know, my undergrad degrees in astrophysics didn't go out the telescope and study stars and on and on et cetera central, But we can't just go out at a certain time and say We're going to go out and start a UFO tonight. Can't do it. And that's been a tremendous hindrance for us. You know all these years? Um, but so getting official interest is, for all the obvious reasons extremely important. And I'm just hoping this continues. Wow, It's fascinating stuff really is tell me a little bit about what you think of the declassified UFO videos that were taken by the Navy pilots that the Pentagon I think they're legitimate. I think that the that the tip of the iceberg, you know that that that they're not easily explained as Chinese drones. Or even our own drawings being tested against our our pilots, You know, you know, it doesn't make sense. They would do it in a way it occurred. Right? So I think there are explained. I don't think they're also. You know, I'm not just an aircraft or anything, You know, it's you know, people have tried to debunk. Um, I read through those efforts. I'm you know, I'm not convinced. But you know what? We need more data, and one problem is there is no secrecy. You know, there's a guy who ran a small UFO program in the government. It was funded through efforts by Harry Reid, the former senator from Nevada, right and called a chip and Louis L. Elizondo was the guy who ran this program, but, um, the program's results are still basically classified. You know, these radios have been released. But the program behind it, and the whatever else this programme was doing with Elizondo says was studied UFO's, Um this stuff has not been released, and not only that we don't even have like the Navy report on these videos on these sightings, so we're still very much in the dark as to the details on these things. And without that, I understand why, you know a scientist or we who is neutral to the subject. Well, maybe you oppose their interesting Maybe there now, I don't know is going to say, you know, Show me your data on this stuff, You know then, then I'll get really interesting. Right? Right. Right point. There isn't much right? Okay? Listen, mark. Fascinating stuff talking to you, President of the J. Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies their website that people can go to www dot c u F o s dot or compose dot org's folks dot org's Okay, mark. Thanks very much. Thank you. Okay. Mark Ratner. Everybody need to Giulio here on 7 20 W. Gina will be back. How does Aaron Rodgers know the guy's standing in the back of the corner of the end zone? When he's got seven guys we're about to tackle. Unlike Sam Macho, who probably experienced the photographic memory of Aaron Rodgers a couple of times, Sam, Welcome to W. GM. Thanks for being on today. We really appreciate it. Thank you guys for having me. I'm glad to be here. Does that Roger Story before we get into everything else that's going on. Is that ring true to you that he has that level of recall? Not to him. I think a bunch of athletes think people underestimate the way athletes speak about the athletes. You go back and talk to him. And then those two haven't haven't yet heard about any animals. The other thing that I thought was interesting. Found this. A Tesla engineer has invented something. Actually, he's retooled it. And I think to myself there are many things that an engineer might re tool. The thing that I didn't think of Wass the chocolate chip cookie. And that's when I realized Well, I guess during the pandemic, some of the Tesla engineers have some time on their on their hand. And there's a tie in cause afterall. Silicon Valley has long obsessed with computer chip. So why not chocolate chips? Okay, it's a stretch. But but none the nonetheless we've got. Remmy Remmy is a Los Angeles based industrial engineer working for Ellen Maas Musk. Tesla's And he has re engineered the chocolate ship for optimization. And you know, I I've yet to put anything in my mouth that I related to his dinner or even a snack that I thought was re engineered. But the more I think about it with what's in this stuff, especially from the frozen section. It probably has been re engineered. I don't know exactly why his chips are so preferred over the typical mass produce chips or squares or chunks, But he, uh he took years to Ah, perfect his mold. He did three D renderings. Of different options and shapes they see again. This is a guy at home. With time on, it can go to the restaurant. They're closed right, so and I know there's a number of people who are perfecting their cooking skills during this time. In fact, I've long postulated that the reason for the run on toilet paper was people realized they were going to have to eat their own cooking. There's a certain amount of truth to that. But But Remmy decided to go after the after the chocolate ship, and he, uh he has the whole process. Of course you'd know what he is an engineer, right? Yeah. I'd like to see this recipe written down. And he actually seven years ago took a course chocolate 101 I don't know where they teach that, but it's probably Los Angeles has a lot of extension courses. It's probably one of those, but not nonetheless. And he was. He was making good use of his time and now has perfected. I don't know if it will be on sale. But so far, I think that's best use of covert covert time. But maybe you've come up with something better. And I want you to tell me what it is. 8888765593 That's 88 88 R O L L Y E I'm rather James. And this is wg and radio.

"Pose as just hand. Louise Robert, the rookie of the year right now, Phil Rogers. I don't know. Adam. Hold nothing against Louise Robert. But let's wait until the season starts. Drama. Come on, Phil. You're my guy Love Phil Rogers, Tremendous baseball reporter got a point. Oh, he's got a very solid point. You might have to actually do it during the season, but I don't know. I'm buying into the Louise Robert. He might as well just depressed. Print the trophy. It's kind of like Like Larry Bird in 1988 KP when he just walked in to be locker room and old Chicago Stadium and told everybody when they were doing the three point contest. Alright, who's playing for second place here? Bird walking in nails last three shots. Pete's dead, less shrimp. Great moment and all Star game history. Weird connection that I just drew the Louise Robert winning the rookie of the year. But you know, it's it's It's It's fate. Accompli is going to get it on. By the way, Ah, Sam Matra, Coming up your bottom of the hour is getting a little football talk before he gets on board here is training camp of Barrel again started the end of the month. At the end. He ate 29 28 29. I think it's the 27th report and then even practices by July 29th. No problem. So going to go Great. Oakley is the official visor provider. Whatever you want to call it for NFL helmets. Sometimes you see players wear visors. I've seen concepts. Been released of Oakley, where there Their face mask like the visor since she goes all the way down the face mask, But they're supposed to be like a mass. But it's not because it holds it there putting like a mouth Guard shield extravaganza that's going to somehow make things safer, which is obviously not going to be a Look, I think the NFL's plan is Let's just let's just blow right through this, like let's do the tests. If somebody gets positive will just keep going will keep going. Keep going. I mean, they release some of their plans is how they're going to try to do it. Legal mandate. The team buses cannot be more than 50% full. Guess you got to get more buses. There must be at least one open seat between passengers on the team in playing what they're going to tackle each other things that everyone will get his or her own hotel room on the road. A lot of hotel rooms that all players I didn't there sharing rooms. What is the NFL? You guys a $1,000,000,000 industry? Why don't I gotta share rooms? I'm a £300 offensive lineman giving my own room. Don't some players have built into the contracts, Sweets for every road. Like if a player and they have to pay extra for it. I just don't know They're sharing rooms. One really, Ah, all players and they're all players and team. Most personnel must wear face coverings well on the road. Teams and players are also being told they will not be allowed to leave their hotel rooms to eat in. To eat in our otherwise use restaurants that are open to the public. Okay, they might not make use of public and private transportation. Also, they're gonna make it as hard as possible or As safe as possible. I should say But I mean, your point. They've got to go out and tackle you and all that type of stuff. All the leagues are putting these Ridiculously lengthy. And descriptive and detailed plans. Because if anything happens, they can say Well, this was the plan. Somewhere. We deviated from the plan, and that's what happened. So like it's ridiculous. There was even the one report that came out this is NFL says No Jersey swapping after games, the player's hand each other jerseys take photos posted on social media. Mother always thought that was kind of dumb anyway. But like everyone saw that And basically rolled their eyes like no Jersey, swapping after a game after they just hit each other for three hours, right doesn't seem this way. Not that sweat, but What Right doesn't make sense. Let's go back to the hotel while it the whole tale players and team personnel may not be visited in their rooms by anyone who is not in their traveling party. I wonder what that's about. And no one in the traveling party. May you shared hotel facilities can't go to the pool can't go to the gym. Unless, of course, they've been disinfected and are being used only by the traveling party. So if they have the whole entire hotel and they clean the makeshift, you know, the one thing the NFL does have, though, Like for baseball, you're going to a city for three or four days at a time. The NFL. They're going to fly in the day before then fly out that night. It does help a little bit, I guess. I mean, you know, in a sense, just go to New Zealand and play these games and put him in one stadium and playing on Mondays and I don't know what to do here. New Zealand wouldn't allow that procedures for returning with facility of the players and protesting positive including additional cardiac screening. I mean that this is going to be this is going to be a thing, by the way happen will be coming back here. Gets him. Let's get some bears post game going on. All right, Sam Macho is up. "7 20 W G N Sam Macho coming up at 9 30 in forward to talking to the former Baer, former Tampa Bay Buck The free Agent, University of Texas hooking horns all that Sam's Ah Sam. Just in a really cool thing he brought The commissioner of the NFL, Roger Goodell. The mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfoot. He brought Mitchell true whiskey from the Bears. He had Jonathan Tales from the Blackhawks. And they went to the Austin neighborhood. They knocked down. He raised $500,000. They knocked down a liquor store. And they put in put in a supermarket, putting some food where there's no food. I mean, that is a standing, that is, that is some big time stuff that's way bigger. Van name changes or anything to do with. I mean that that that is real change. That's that's some big time. So Sam's gonna join us at 9 30 now. KP and a slightly lighter note as we get ready for baseball this week and well ever Tomorrow night, right here on 7 20 W. G, N. The Cubs and the White Sox. White Sox baseball from Wrigley Field and a maser Darrin Jackson on the call from guaranteed rate field sitting there doing what you got to do in the pandemic. Do you want? Baseball fans. Sports fans do you want piped in sound? To make it seem like you're actually listening to a standard baseball game. That's how you know you're driving around listening White Sox radio on 7 20 deluge in You're used to that step, but that hum and then if there's you know, you could just feel the people there and then something happens. Obviously the cheers come Do you want that? Do you want basically a laugh? Track a soundtrack for your baseball? Or would you like to just to hear it is organic. As it's going to be tomorrow night, a Wrigley with seven people there, I sort of been back and forth on it, because much of it is dependent on whoever's operating that I think it was a cameraman who was Rocky's or somebody's interests, quite aware. It's the sound of the crowd. Sounded as if a player has just hit a walk off Grand Slam to win the World Series. It was a single to left, Carm, you don't mean like there's gonna have to be nuanced way of doing this and being smart about it. We have a guy like you. Teams down by 10 and a guy hits a homer. And his team's down by night. Right, like do we need the sound guy was probably like I think it's a great point you we need a talented while we're losing by 10. Let's not go crazy for that homer, right? And I think I was reading that they're going to. They're thinking about using like MLB shows technology, the videogame where that's able to, but even then you're going to run into stuff. Cause if if Everybody's going to be on same Like what if one ball park has a louder noise or right or or how about this car? Get your hot dogs that would begin. That means curveballs coming on Ly have kidding. Consider the length seems to consider your team banged on a trash can in their own dugout to signal Certain pitches coming, right? Like beer here Who needs a beer? That means a change up is on the way. I think I really hope we're not going to go that route. But I'm just saying, like there could be things that teams could do. Made a great point. They like to screw with other teams may all have to be on the same playing field. I mean, if we're going strict organic right now, you know it. It vendors were in the park. You mean normal baseball game? You're not going to hear the Adults. It sounds of Lloyd Russki Guys sold the most beers in Chicago vending history. Both sides. He's he's up there. I mean, is there is there is no doubt that Lloyd's and team photo I mean, there's a lot of guys. I mean, Brodsky Frank police. He's right. They're weasels, a stud. I mean, there's there's guys that good after it. That's not. That's not a clear cut. Answer KP But like that that call then occasionally you will. There used to be a hot dog. I don't think he's been around for a good five years now, but he would just scream and belted out. You would hear that on the call. Maybe we want to. We want to mix in a little vendor calls like what would you want to hear? 312981 72 100 will be bowing. Right, but that's another one. I'm very interested to hear no to see. Ah, How are radio broadcasts are going because TV you're watching and radios obviously all aboutthe sound of a ball game. Which is what the broadcasters mixed in, but it's going to be very interested to hear how Andy and D J. Handle the car tomorrow night. The booing is I hadn't thought about that till now. Like Yu Darvish got booed for like months straight at Wrigley right because he had lived up to his $120 million contract. And everybody typed the same thing. Those air booze, not you, and then you pitched on. Everyone said That's you not boo. Creative. I That would be unfortunate they would never do it. But let's just say, for argument's sake. But whoever it was that the same as Yu Darvish has 1/4 consecutive two innings and out, he scuffled. What? How about how about that scene? Let's say it's a fan. Who's standing on Sheffield or Waveland and listening to the game. Thus the Wrigley Yes, I think, Okay, What if you got some drunk on one of these Wrigley rooftops, Right, just screaming and hollering. Yeah. I mean, that's the way you're you're paying 3 54 bucks to go sit on a rooftop. Why not do it on Waveland? Just screaming obscenities entities. To just into the air. The players will be able to hear that. Through the people in right in, right? Yeah, sure. That's the reason why they put Hendrix as Thie opening day starter you I think he was going to area real possibility that's going to happen..

This is, according to the Jamaica Gleaner. Brown wanted to make the right decision first before spending any lottery winnings, quote. Around in the dark Vader outfit. He's going Darth Vader, and they could move. I've thought about that before, because what if you want 100 million bucks? You what part of you thought about the part about winning it and then people knowing you want it? And I would hate that. That they knew you're rich? Yeah. Hey, P. Come on, take me to dinner. You had 95 million. Let's let's let's let's lock in. Ah, let's lock in a Gibson's. You can afford it one time. Me and you, Carm. Yeah, but I like you, right. So you worried about Weird. I was on social media. You'd be worried about like your potential future wife to come at you only because because she knows you got the dough. Is that what we're dealing with here? Have you really thought about this? I don't know the pandemic, man. I'm thinking about everything. But I was the lottery. But all of a sudden people would appreciate me the way they once did. So, yes. Wow. Yes, out of a deep thought there. KP. I mean, Because anybody else thought about this 3 to 981 7200 Okay? What's the weirdest that you've ever thought about? If I've won the lottery? I just don't know if my life would be the same place. I've thought of my friends would not. I just give my friends but like I don't know. Because I feel like okay, Let me ask you this company. Go ahead. If you want a lot of would you could you retire? No. I love my job. I love you. And what did you feel strange knowing that your coworkers know that you got 50 million the bank come. Do you have to come in here and try to write? Can you give up a shift, But your job is some college kid. Just graduate. He's got 50 grand in debt. I don't think I'd feel guilty about that. I just feel guilty. But don't you think people would view you differently or speak to you differently are judged. You are already don't like me. They already judged me. Fancy. Lacombe was like the king of you're not the king of fans sided. I may be in my own mind, maybe. I've thought about winning the Lotto and the way it would affect my life. Okay, I'll just put it that way. You know this business, everybody, we're all we all want the same thing. It's Ah, It's a disease. This thing that which we're trying to do. Everybody wants to be a talk show host. Everybody's jealous of the guy who's got the job that you want. Just part of the deal. You get jealous still. Oh, my God. He kidding? Really. I'd wake up in the morning, Ali. First thing that hits me is a way of a jealousy somebody out there doing something that I want to be doing that I'm not doing it. But don't be jealous. Just make it right. So it drives you Sure, Sure, that does happen. But like Of course I'm jealous. Amy, give me some of your jealous of how much you want me to name. It could be a handful. Let's see right now. My top five jealousy, People. 312981 72 100 Top five sports jealousy people in town. I don't know. I guess I would probably start naming play by play people. Really? Adam and me and Jason Benetti. Ah, Len Pat in the I didn't know you were going to go that route I thought going to say the cat man or something. Well, then, then we can go over there to that. But I think I think if I was going to straight dream job, what would it be? I mean, play by play man for one of the teams in town that you would be incredible by the way that I also take a play by play man for You know, Give me the Portland Trail Blazers in college today. That'd be sweet to that ship. It's a plague I Oh, come on. You haven't heard my tapes at ST Edward's University D to down in from..

"We don't have any indication off any schedule. Nothing. I don't have anything. I covered the bears for ESPN. We have the memo that was sent out in terms of how they might look at media access with media. People being grouped into different tears, you know? Here, too, would have access to the building. Tier three would be ableto watch practice but not have access to the building. No interviews with players face to face at all. You get the head coach, but from a distance a socially safe distance. We are so close to camp, supposing to be starting And nothing is set. So how is this all going to come together in a couple of weeks, my friend I I just don't know how it again I hate to be so. Pessimistic on this beautiful Saturday. But, you know, I just would feel a lot better if we had some sort of concrete plan already in place. But the NFL, like most sports just doesn't have that right now. I asked Sam Macho, You know, he's an NFL free agent now, but a part of the Players Association on the third of July when I was working with Clinton Yates, I said, Well, what's the plan? For the NFL, he said. Oh, there's a plan. There's there's plenty of plan in place for covert 19 and I did not see any concrete plan that was offered by the NFL at that time. You know, the NBA's got 101 105 page plan. I didn't see that for the NFL, and I know that there's some some bullet points here and there, but it still comes back to common sense, right? As much as you and I would love to be able to see football, you know, even supposed to be where you are right now. You should be someplace sweating, getting ready for for a training camp getting ready to be ableto Tell us what's going on the NFC North. And here we are wondering what the NFL is gonna look like Corbett, 19 is here and it's a real thing. It's hard for me to envision the NFL first of all having no preseason games. That has to happen because no matter how many zoom calls you have, there has to be some kind of physical physicality. You have to be able to touch it. It's one thing to know the place, but you have to be able to be physical with your teammates and physical with another team to get yourself ready. And the other another thing. The other shoe to drop here is where these games will be played. Will this beam or like the college plan where we see just conference games? Where, where? Where teams not traveling as much Will it just be in the area. Will they have to redo the schedule? There's a big question marks that I do not know. All we know is that Koven nineteen's a number one storyline, right? Now for the NFL. Can they adjust or will they do what they normally do and say, You know what we know, covert 19th out there, but we must have our football The way we know our football teams will zigzag across the country. I don't know if that's if that's even possible. You talked about it. You have to touch to play football. I mean, baseball is even from the youth standpoint. No youth. Baseball is happening across the country. In most states, kids are out there playing having a great time in baseball. It's a lot easier to socially distance unless you're bad. If the catcher's right, Anya, But usually you set the catcher back. You have the kids like half the kids in the dugout, half the kids outside the dugout. There's a way to make that work and be as safe. It's not 100% fail proof. But to be a safest possible. We talk about football. There's no getting around the contact of football. Now They're trying to talk about some, maybe some equipment modifications, but the players aren't really that hot on the idea of wearing masks over their helmet bars. There's some shields they've been working on, but nothing has come to fruition yet. Football is the sport that I'm worried about the most just because of the nature ofthe game. You know in Illinois. The high school teams Jonathan were supposed to buy now at this point. Supposed to be able to do some touching during drills. That hasn't happened yet because schools were being forced to cancel their camps and their football summer camps because there have been positive tests popping up. One here. One there, one here one there that shuts everything down. I just don't know how I know that they're going to do everything they can to make this happen of all the sports football. Those owners are going to try to make this happen. Can you do it safely with that many people in the building every day interacting with one another. And can you really won a football team? Like you mentioned. With guys not being around each other. That's just the game. It's not a socially distant sport. Moment short, very clear that Jeff and I'm not giving you the doom and gloom scenario. We're telling you what reality is. Reality is that as much as we are looking forward to an NFL season, I still Jeff is something we gotta hammer here about the travel situation. The travel situation was not a big story line. Then when we resume the MBA season, there would not be a bubble in Orlando. We just pick up the regular season the rest of the regular season and the Lakers will be playing the Nets and you know the Poland Trailblazer will take on Houston, and we just would do what they normally would do. But there's a reason why That there are 22 teams that are together in Orlando in a bubble. And so when the NFL starts again, this is all predicated on numbers and covert 19. You mean tell me that the NFL players are going to be going across this country back and forth on a plane like you normally do, and also in these random hotels. The MBA players are on the bubble sequestered. How does that work with the NFL again? It's just one day. It's just for you know, a week, one week to week three, but still that's still a big question. Mark. You think if you're a member of the Bears, and you look at the schedule and say, Oh, Going to Jacksonville this week. Oh, we're going to Florida to Jacksonville. I don't think many of them even if they live in Florida permanently. That's the residents. I don't think they're too hot about that idea. What are you going to do? You can't take a bubble with you. You can take precautions and they'll try to take precautions. It's not like everything has been set up and you're on your own little island here. It's not how it's going to work, and that's just that's just one part of it. You have to bring all these players together in have a training camp. Talking about 80 90 players with depending on the number they keep now for training camps This year, you could say, well, only 40 Khun B in the building at once. Well, that's still a huge amount of people. And you don't know where everyone is being. You don't know what everyone has been up to. You don't know Here's the thing too, about this disease. As we found out, Jonathan people do their absolute best to follow safety protocols. And sometimes they still test positive. So how do you know? I think this is what about attempting a tempting fate as much as we love sports and would want to see sports on the landscape and have our usual sports calendar. Until when the other side of this This is that these are just big picture questions. Is the NFL prepared to have tohave these bubbles all across the country for you know, from Buffalo to Seattle, are you goingto have bubbles? You do that, like the MBA has it in one city. It's it's a It's a big thing. It's a It's a big question. Mark and the physicality football tells me that the more that you touched the more that you could. Be open to positive tests. And if there's some big players are going to be out, how long will they be out with 14 games are further 14 days that two weeks And plus, sure, I mean, and who knows how many players you lose per week? You could be going weak, the weak But this might be the first time in history that the third string quarterback actually matters in the NFL because you're third string quarterback might actually have to play..

"Wow. Hey, Sam. Have you ever had have you best audio? I thought today was was people kind of going at Steven Jackson, Wilbon and I thought the great audio was thie, the former NFL player Sam Macho or Sam, adjust the plan. I know he's probably done is me. I wised up. He's done, but he had a very compelling Commentary today on canceled culture and communication and where we go from here and Steven Jackson and his whole thing's What do we go from here? We ignore Stephen Jackson on all weighty matters the same thing we've been continuing to do. Just don't be stupid. It's got nowt to do with Cancel culture says this thing, That's so this is what you just saying. Sam Macho is just saying that he is very strongly against the whole cancel culture. No, but I just know Let's let's not let's not conflicted. A dude who enter most critical of thinkers said something that lets you know heat. The most critical of thinkers could take you on with your day and in no way shape or form and I am I Ah, Saying it was Steve injects. There was right. It was a weapons grade stupid. What's not looking for people, Teo to be something that they're not. Steven Jackson is not that type of dude, where you go. I need to know what's on that intelligent fellas. Mind. Stupid. He said he didn't know anything about Hitler. How do you not know anything about Hitler? There was an actual quote from that guy. Come on, man, you know, Listen, I'm glad what he's doing for the movement. I'm sorry about what happened to George Floyd. Like millions of people. Hundreds of millions of people around the world, But, you know, man, that is just absolutely just Stupid. Yeah, I guess I guess the only problem Ah, with it is what he was doing for the movement now just kind of gets tossed aside by a lot of people, But, yeah, I can't listen to you on anything your credit, but your credibility went from like, okay, executions behind it. He's got it. And then, like a week later, it's like Goddamn forget, but top here's Here's what I Here's what I say. Creators. Comments lose weight in some regard No, no, no, no, no, no. See this. This is an epic. This is very important. If your involvement in the movement Hinged on Steven Jackson and his behavior Then you're not really down with the movement. Dig what I'm saying. You're You're right, Tommy. There are going to be some people who look and go. Well, you know, I'm Steven Jackson said this saw him out there. You know what? We didn't want you because you weren't really down with it. You can. You can say that with Steven Jackson's here was done. You could say that. What he said was hurtful. It was terrible. It was unintelligent. The movement is still the movement. Police brutality. Systematic racism is still there. So if Steven Jackson is the reason that all of a sudden you are not down With being with being vociferously against racism and calling out police. Police brutality and Colin are races with you See, it is Steven Jackson and his comments made you go up Not down with it. Well then. Bye. Yeah. What? Really with it to begin with? I think that's a very small number of people, Tom. And you're saying No, I do. I I get what you're saying. A nice powers. Booth dropped. They're just right in the middle of it Well back for about But I know I do. Think what he who is wait, carried some gravitas Just because He was so close to George Floyd and he was in Minnesota, and he was one of the early voices. I just think the more voices you have the better, and I think he just kind of took his voice out of the conversation. Now that doesn't keep it from moving ahead. And yeah, if what he said, hinged on you being involved or not, then well, whatever. But well back. Ah, but I do believe he was one of the guys that like was kind of front center, and it's just It's nice to have a cz. Many of those people ah, for the cause is possible. And will this I mean, is this going to derail it? No, of course not, Of course not. But it's just nice to have those voices. And now unfortunately, it seems like he's one of those voices. That is, It doesn't matter what he says. I mean, he was spot on. He went from spot on about a spot offers you could possibly I mean, when you Quinn. You mean hatred say when you come out and say Yeah, and I don't really know much about that Hitler do like it's like then you're not worth paying attention. To what? That even if you are down with the movement, and you look at him as a leader of a movement, which I never did, But if you do, that's fine, then if you don't know who Hitler is He's he's invalidated. Move on about your day. You keep moving on in. Ah, positive direction. I really hate that We took the show Serious, but damn it. It's you get a chance to listen to the same macho cut on Cancel culture. Listen to the Julian Edelman Audio, which will play at some point as well. He had a very compelling piece Audio where he You know he's and we had him on the show I share. He's such an interesting guy. He invited to Sean Jackson to the U. S Holocaust Memorial Museum and said he'd like to To Ah, you know, share day with them and share a meal with him and talk things over and it was just interesting video, and we may well have some of that audio later. Kevin France, joining us next hearing the Tolbert Kruger and Brooke Show. KNBR, 1045 and six for Hayward from the Children Auto Body Traffic.

"And they're pairing with the best current player in the league to do in my delicious all the all the dislike that you Hey, you have to erase that from LeBron from the heat years because those never would have happened. He would be playing in Yur Bulls uniform and instead of six championships. From the United Center rafters, you probably have minimum 10. That's what I'm saying. If LeBron bashing Wade came here they want for that. When you went for they went to four championships. And you don't lose to Dirk Novitski and Jason Kidd with those three Derrick Rose and joking. No, I'm willing to go multiple championships. I'm not so sure I'd be willing to sign off on four. Just because so many different things can happen again. I'm just like I want ball. I'm looking for ball and balls on my mind. And I'm I'm thinking, Patrick Mahomes and he's on the front of my brain and hymen appears uniform has me salivating. So some history 10 years ago tonight, the decision TV that what I just did was gave you I voted with my heart, not my head. Right. Elias. That's the quarterback. That's the missing thing. That's our white whale. Right? Isn't that's the one thing the one thing that we don't we've never tasted. We've never had. 3123323776 We're gonna have a great discussion with Sam Macho. Why would Sam macho with the Commissioner of football, the mayor of Chicago and several star athletes from this town? He's going to share the big reason why coming up it for it will be a can't miss discussion. But coming up next, we'll have some models World Listeningto Bottle.

"Under the hood with Jonathan Hood right here on ESPN 1000 doing summer of football every night. We'd give you something football. And so we went through some NFL storylines, including Patrick Mahomes get paid. Cancel the chief's quarterback. Congratulations for getting really generational wealth in a big way. They gave him a windfall of cash because of that Super Bowl, and so we'll see how his career continues with the can. City chiefs. Remember, he's always going to tie with Travis Key and Watson. Sucks right now. But that's just the way things go so good for the homes so Clinton. Yates and I were in for a while and Sylvie on Friday, and we got a chance to talk to former Bear Sam Watch Show who is a representative for the NFLPA, and we talked to Sam about a number of issues on DSO. Let's go back in time and hear from Sam Macho. Thanks so much for coming on the show. I'm glad to be on Thank you for having me. Absolutely. So The Redskins topic is something Clint and I have been talking about there is a change that could happen with this name was her feeling on the Redskins name over the years. Yeah, I think I have issue we're seeing now. He saw it from Dan's death sided settlements years ago when he said that guarantee you pull money out of these not going to change the name And even with the press release that was just sent out that said the team's name over 10 now 10 times about 10 times the offensive name that people are talking about. You could tell that Dan Snyder sentiments have not changed. So I think that actually the Native American community Sure they want the names change, but they also want some Some more respect and ability to grow their communities. Outside of just a name change. Is this a thing among players that has any real effect on? I want to say who you choose to play for anything like that. But just in the NFL is very much a next man up kind of situation. You're rushing to get their papers. Stay healthy and get out while they can. But is there any sort of odious flavor or, you know around this, too? Just for guys in the league in terms of like, man, I got to deal with this nonsense again. And you know that you're gonna be thinking about it the whole time you're playing there or you're playing against him. Like where does this rank in terms of things that players actually care about? Well as far as when it comes to signing a contract to play football. I think any player is going to take an opportunity to try and play and trying not only in better their career but also their teams, but also look at the other perspective when it comes to where we are in the world right now, and players using their voices from High school players took college players to pro athletes using their voices for change. I think we're gonna see a huge shift into the public perception of of what the team in Washington is viewed as Sam Macho NFLPA executive committee member, along with Clinton Gates job in Hood on the field, Sam, We see that Cam Newton is now New England patriot and Ah, lot of people have been scratching their heads wondering what took so long for him to sign. What do you your thoughts on? Cam Newton is a player. Why did it take so long for him to eventually signed with a team? Well, there's two reasons one reason people. Often we'll talk about the history of injuries and more form. Anything can play through a kind of injuries that You haven't been reported as widely as Have been reported that they were as bad as they really work. That's one issue. But the second excuse the perception Cam is perceived as a different type of quarterback. Maybe that's because of style or his attitude, maybe some of his race if you want to even go that far in the way he portrays himself. Campesina, different quarterback. So a lot of teams When you bring in camp, he is going to be the star. It seems they're saying, Do I want this guy to be the star of my of my French franchise based on the fact that not only his People would say personality but also The injury history. So it almost like this double that soared of you not going to take a risk on him because if he's been injured in years past, but also it keeps you from having to take a risk because you say way, you know, I don't want that kind of guy. Leading my franchise. Sam. One of the things that obviously has been a huge discussion in the NFL season has been you know the virus in while they've had the luxury of being able to sort of pushback talk about how that's going to affect a lot of things, because the season doesn't start for a certain amount of time while still football and you look across the landscape college football programs. Turned up a guy's testing positive for Kobe left and right, just trying to work out. You know, where is the thought right now in terms of safety overall for players and already super violent sport, just to be able to feel the team trying to make a paycheck. Well, The frustrating part for me is that it seems like everyone's trying to fit football into their schedules. Very little regard for Cody and I say that with caution because there is regard for Colbert were saying we're going to do whatever possible to keep the players safe. But the fact of the matter is What happens if the thing that keeps the players safe is actually not playing? What if that's the answer? I don't think anyone's even gotten to that point the entire conversations about Let's do everything we can put off preventative measures in place. But you just Think about it. Cases are on the rise In a lot of different states that have opened up college campuses that have started sports Many players have gone, Kobe Their studies that show that African Americans and people with a high B m I which 80% of the NFL's after American 80% identifies a hobby of mine. Those people in those categories have a higher Tended to your higher risks to get Kobe and they're also studies that show that Kobe could have long term effects on your overall health. So you take all those statistics. In one day, and you still say we're going to still go out and play to me. That doesn't make a kind of fence. Along those same lines regarding covert 19 Sam. Major League Baseball and the NHL in the MBA have a plan..
