"Courtney Cronin. He's Myron Medcalf. We're talking NFL simulations for the 2021 season now. The number one overall pick. Coordinate, according to this article, is going to the Carolina Panthers. And that would lead you to believe that everything fell apart with Sam Donald in the experiment that they tried to enact there in Charlotte by trading for him, giving him the fresh start that he is so badly needed. And a if they're getting the number one pick. That means that Donald probably out of the league or at least not starting for anybody next season. And just how badly this will have failed in the first couple of years of Matt rule That would lead me to wonder. Is this a coach that has tried too hard to make the college stick work in the NFL? And is this somebody who would eventually end up? When this team does get the number one pick, trying to hightail it out of there and go back to college somewhere. It wouldn't be surprising, right? His his predecessors did that same thing when they went to the next level and realize that It wasn't going to work out. It was a different culture. It was a different environment, so I think certainly there could always be that threat format rule, especially if a good college job opens up. I think this simulation also says that Christian McCaffrey coming back wasn't enough to help them overcome some of their flaws as well, because you still needed Sam Donald to step up, which is what he couldn't do in New York. Obviously the culture was a lot different under Adam Gaze. You thought the fresh start might be different. And if that's not the case, then where does Sam Donald go from there? But I'm with you. This could be a turning point, both for Sam, Donald and Matt rule. If things work out the way the computers say they might And his computer says that Donald will beat his old team The New York Jets in week one, uh and then go on to earn wins against the Saints, Texans and Eagles they've lost to the Cowboys did start out foreign one. Um, But those opponents clearly are not that difficult. And so that four and one record will eventually look back as a mirage. But again, a projection a simulation. There's 285 of them that these computers went through a really good article that we're going to discuss at other points throughout the next 4.5 hours here on ESPN Radio in the ESPN app, But coming up next Jeff Passan, our good friend here to talk about the major league baseball postseason picture. "Two of the league's best young quarterbacks, go head to head When Mayfield's Brown's battle Mahomes and the Chiefs it all gets started with JB and the guys on the NFL today at noon Eastern nine A.m. Pacific, The NFL is back Sunday on CBS. Some pretty good games there, man stealers bills. So you know you've got a nice car two games when you get the Steelers and the bills. In the in the noon what I call the undercard. The undercard at noon. Or would I like to call the Houston Texans entire schedule for 2021 noon Sunday noon Sunday, noon Sunday. Jets taking on Carolina. That's the Darnel Bowl. I'm just trying to think I'm looking at these games. I'm trying to come up with angles on each of these games that Sam Donald going against his old team. Sam. Donald is going to be looking at Zach Wilson, like okay. That's the hot young piece that you just married after you divorced me. Gotcha. Sam Donald, By the way, Sam Donald the Carolina Panthers, one of five teams, I'm taking the under on their season wind total this year. I thought about giving those picks out to you guys between now and the end of the show because I'm pretty good at season win total, but not to brag or anything, but I'm pretty good at season win total bets. Now, my my analytics are not exactly the most detailed or They don't come out of a lab somewhere like I'm picking under on Carolina 7.5 wins because Sam Donald has a gigantic face. He's got a big fat face like his head. Looks like a bobblehead. Just you. Look at him. You go. Okay? That guy's not winning eight games. That's you know, I hate to say it. He just has kind of that blank look on his face. I don't I don't mean to make fun of him or anything like that. But that's that's how that's why I'm picking the the Panthers under 7.5 wins. And then chiefs and browns. That should be pretty good. That should be a nice reality check for the Browns coming into the season. Second time in three years. The Browns are coming into the season with a lot of love. It was two years ago, 2019. But they hired Freddie Kitchens, and everybody in Cleveland chose to ignore that, like, Oh, we got Baker in his second year, and we traded for Odell Beckham Jr and Blah, bitty, blah, blah, blah. Yeah, but you got Freddie kitchens, steering the ship. So he got fired after one year Now I think it's real with the Browns. Now it's up to Baker. Because I think they got everything else short up there. That's a strong roster. That's as good a quarterback or as good a good a roster around a quarterback as there is in the NFL. Bakers got to take one more step forward. And so that would be a great test in week 11 of those two teams is going to be Oh, and one After the first week. Pretty hot take by me right there. And actually, they may not be. If they tie they won't be one of the mobile and one Tweet from Ryan. You can tweet me at Shaun T. Pendergast. This goes back to me having Steve Berlin and Gus Farhat and back to back segments on the show. By the way to conversations that I thought were pretty good. He says. Damn, Sean, are we going to hear from Jeff Hostetler today? Warm at in L A being an A hole A. Okay, There you go. Johnny in Texas said I tweet you, sissy. But you're not reading tweets. You're making quote, mailing it in a new definition, not I've read a couple of tweets just not reading all the tweets. You can tweet me at Shaunti Pendergast. 855212 For CBS. I guess. One of the other big stories at the phones here in just a second is heading into the NFL season. I wish we could just focus on the matchups and the season and you know who's going to win. What We do need to point out though, that Zack Martin is the first of what I think is going to wind up being a handful of players for week one. To wind up on the covid list. I have not looked at the news wire to see if anybody else has been added to the Covid list. But Zack Martin, the All Pro Guard for The Dallas Cowboys tested positive for the coronavirus. And so he's going to miss the game on Thursday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tom Brady had an interesting take in an interview he did with the Tampa Bay Tribune over the weekend. And he revealed a couple things. He revealed one that he actually tested positive after the Buccaneers. Parade for winning the Super Bowl. He tested positive back in February. I guess that would be The second thing, he said. I thought was interesting, which is he thought that this year it's going to be even harder. To kind of manage things with covid around the NFL. Then last year was He said in the article, Quote. I actually think it's going to play more of a factor this year than last year. Just because of the way what we're doing now and what the stadium is going to look like and what the travel is going to look like in the people in the building and the fans. It's not like last year, although we're getting tested like last year. It's gonna be guys are going out at different points and we just got to deal with it. In other words, Guys aren't as vigilant this year as they were last year. They're not working under mandated..

"What rocket can coming up in 20 minutes. We are stunned to a news it in 40 minutes the bucks or bring in the entire band back from their Super Bowl championship. How did they afford that? One hour from now? Daniel Jeremiah is going to join us from NFL network to talk about tonight's NFL first round of the draft and tomorrow morning. Full recap winners and losers and reaction and surprises in busts and booms coming up right here on the show, beginning at six a.m. eastern time, So make sure you have us locked in Yesterday, a trade in the NFL Teddy Bridgewater being traded from the Carolina Panthers to the Denver Broncos. Does this take the Broncos out of drafting a QB? No. No. Think Bridgewater has proven to this point in time to be a really good team guy. Leader. Guy that people respect in that locker room. And a serviceable starting quarterback in the NFL. But is Teddy Bridgewater? Your franchise guy? No, He's a placeholder. He's a placeholder, and so for the Denver Broncos, it allows you to things it allows you either. The pathway of Bridgewater can compete with drew lock. For years starting quarterback position. And whoever wins it best man up. Take the job. Should push Drew lock sounded like At the Broncos wanted him to be more of a professional, more mature. Take that next step and so lock. Now we'll have somebody that he would be pushed by also Has a guy that can teach. Ah young QB Whether it's lock or the second pathway is the Broncos draft a guy tonight? And Bridgewater is the starter for the time being that hands the job off to whoever the Broncos do draft that's obviously on the table as well. What the Broncos gave up is light work. It's 1/6 round pick, and, frankly, it's a little surprising that Teddy Bridgewater Who again is a serviceable starting quarterback could only bring back 1/6 round pick. I think it's probably because a lot of the teams have figured out their quarterback position after free agency or have their decision made going into tonight. And so there's just not a lot of buyers right now for a guy like Bridgewater, but only 1/6 round pick. It means that the Carolina Panthers obviously misjudged Teddy Bridgewater when they gave him that big contract. They went after Sam Donald instead this offseason brought in Donald And we wait to see if the Panthers will select a rookie quarterback tonight. That could be on the table if, say, Justin Fields falls to them at number eight. But I don't think that either Sam Donald, the Carolina or Teddy Bridgewater to Denver takes either one of those teams out of the quarterback sweepstakes tonight. I think you could still see either or both. Select a QB. Which is what makes the which one of these guys fall to the Patriots. Narrative. I think even more improbable. I just don't see how we're the pat sit. They can wait on any of the five to get there. Unless a guy like Mack Jones starts dropping precipitously because everything was more of a smoke screen than teams that actually like him. I don't know how you could be the Patriots, then wait that somebody's going toe fall to you. In the teams. You probably have to trade up to get higher in this draft. You probably have to trade up to get into a slot where QB could be taken. There were the reports this week. That perhaps they're trying to get to the top 10, the Patriots But when you look at this list and you look at where these teams select, it's gonna be hard. To get by. JAG wars. We're going to take Trevor Laurence. The Jets are gonna take Zack Wilson. The Niners are going to take a quarterback at three that leaves tomb or cubes left. Let's just say the Niners do take Mack Jones. It leave Trey Lancer Justin Fields. Are both of those guys going to get by the Falcons at four. Bangles at five who could trade out of that pick? The Dolphins at six who could trade out of that pick. And then the Panthers at eight. Where the Panthers could select one. The Broncos could trade up and select one the Patriots could select one by trading up is well. I don't think you could wait on it. I think those five guys might be done in the top 10. Which is kind of crazy, But certainly I would think by 10 to 12. All five guys are gone. One thing that watching Teddy Bridgewater get traded last night for sixth round pick. Maybe Think of With the Chicago Bears. If you are the Bears. Would you rather have Andy Dalton or Teddy Bridgewater? Good at Bridgewater for a song. What would you rather have? I think I'd rather have Bridgewater. Know that Teddy Bridgewater's not a superstar. But when Bridgewater has been in a good offense with pieces around him, he's performed pretty well. Namely the year we filled in for Drew Brees. Wind breeze was injured in in New Orleans and the Saints kept on winning and Bridgewater is pretty good. Now the offensive scheme of Chicago is in what the Saints have. Skill position. Players might not quite be, although there's decent talent of the Bears. For the skill position, guys. You know? I think I would have opted for Teddy Bridgewater. I think the bears miss an opportunity. Don't love what any don't bring to the table. Don't love Teddy Bridgewater. Bring it to great heights, but I think I trusted a little bit more. Two parts of this question. Mariah's number one Does it take the Broncos at a draft of the quarterback tonight? They traded for Bridgewater and have lock on the roster? Absolutely not, especially when you've only given up a six around there. I think that they know where they're sitting in their draft position. It is not a lock. If they get the guy they like, cause that's important to D. A. It's not just Hey, one of the five quarterbacks is left. Let's take him. My guess is the Broncos have toe like her prefer one or two over some of the other guys, and if they're not there now, this puts him in a position where they feel comfortable, even if it's Bridgewater V Lock on training camp opening day. If they draft somebody, though, they've got to get rid of lock right. He ends up being a expendable piece, and I don't know what you would Trade him away for Bridgewater commands 1/6. His lock command 1/7, or you're not gonna get anything back, but he's not gonna be on the roster. I wouldn't think you don't think I personally would hold on to both them depending on their salary cap situation is until August. Why do you wait to see if a quarterback gets hurt somewhere? And who knows? Maybe if you draft a guy, maybe then you flip Bridgewater again and it doesn't necessarily have to be locked. I wouldn't rush to trade lock tonight or tomorrow night if you draft another quarterback, because I think your value could be in theory higher for a team that you never know what happens in camp with a quarterback situation come August. Now for the New England Patriots, they drafted number 15. If we assume the top three picks are all cubes, which I think is a safe assumption. That leaves two more cubes between four And 15..

Baker Mayfield’s Contract With Cleveland Browns Extended Through 2022

"The Cleveland Browns picked up the fifth year option for Baker Mayfield. Guaranteed at least two more seasons of the man, maybe more. He gets that contract extension and he's eligible for He was selected number one overall in the draft. That included Sam Donald two spots after him, Sam Donald looking for a new start right now, with Carolina Panthers. You can also take a look at Josh Allen selected at seventh overall, he played at an M V p level last year. And then someone who did when the M V P And has a regular season record. This is just ridiculous. I think the record might be 30 and seven Is Lamar Jackson. Baker Mayfield is to do that's just like you would select the number one. How come the other two guys had better careers or better starts than you? Baker did throw 27 touchdowns that rookie year. He did regressing year too. He did light it up last year. Think Baker is the man. I think he is the long term answer. The Cleveland Browns. I think he is able to turn things around, especially with all of the talent that he has around him because he doesn't have to do it

"Or do you think they're happy enough with Sam Donald that they would stay the course with him and either drafted offensive lineman their trade out of that pick? I think that's a $10 million question. I think the whole process starts with the Jets at number two, and that includes a self assessment of Sam Donald. Those of us that saw Sam Donald coming out of U. S. C. I think can understand. Where is that better? He did because he played USC and an offense that was a little bit archaic. It was going to require a learning curve for him to get out of there and kind of re program at the pro level. We know what happened to him since he's been with the jet. That learning curve just is not progress. But I think the skills that when you watch him, it's still there. He's still flashes from things that you really like. I think that the other problem is that you know, at this point. What has has there been damage done to him that these last three years What is? Is that taking a toll on on his leadership on all the other things that go with it just because of the jet struggled, So I think that position at number two is is a is a position where a lot of teams think they have to get in order to get his act. Wilson So that the Jets are gonna have options for sure. I think they'll also have takers if they decide to move off of Sam Girl. I think that's like I say when, When the Bears are in the mix. Denver's may be in the mix. I know the 40 Niners would be interested, so there's still some value out there that people think Sam Donald Could be turned around quickly, and he's a young enough guide where they think they could get 10 years out of them. Excellent stuff. Randy Mueller joining us this morning on the show general manager, formerly the Saints of the Dolphins of the NFL executive as well for the Chargers of the Seahawks. You could check out more of his football thoughts that Mueller football dot com or follow him on Twitter at Randy Mueller underscored the end Randy, It's always good to catch up. Thanks so much for doing it for us this morning. Enjoyed it anytime, guys. Thanks so much. Randy Mueller joining us this morning on this show, Andrew. Bogus. How about this, Mueller? Now he just made a very interesting point. This is a guy that is run NFL front offices before and he thinks Zach Wilson. Can ready. Make an NFL quarterbacks lot quicker than Trevor Laurence that Zach Wilson, who everybody kind of thought. Is a notch or two behind Trevor Laurence could actually be a better quarterback sooner. That kind of blew my mind when he said that what do you think? Yeah. I mean, I was expecting some kind of trouble. Lawrence pull back during this kind of process, But there always is for guys who have been on our radar for so long. At some point, we just become bored by them. We start to admit pick. We look at things that they can't do and we get favorites. Other places so Hard. Ami's not surprises happening, but to the extent that it's happening is what surprisingly if you want, have a conversation and tell me the gap between Trevor Laurence and everybody else isn't as big as we thought that Zach Welles is a really good second option that he's locked in number two that if you're the Jets that you have to take him and trade Sam Donald words Trey lands or Justin Fields like I'll give you that conversation that Lawrence's number one, but they're closer to him than we thought. A couple months ago. Like I'm okay with that. I don't understand how we live in a world Now where you're not taking Trevor Laurence. Number one. I just I don't And I'm not Randy Mueller. I've never picked a quarterback had never run a real NFL team. But I just I don't know how we have gone when travelers has done nothing to change the conversation. How all of a sudden now he's not the next Andrew Luck coming out of college. I agree and No matter how much tape I watch of Zach Wilson about how much BYU video and highlights in games that I've watched Zack Wilson never do. I go on. This guy's going to start in the NFL quicker than Trevor. Laurence would now again. Mueller said that they're both gonna start day one. I mean, there's just no way the Jaguars draft Trevor Laurence, then let him account brother, you know, start week. 23 and four whatever but You know Trevor Laurence steps in and is gonna automatically be a franchise guy like you take him out of the package. You put him on NFL Sunday's he can play. I don't see the same thing with Zach Wilson. So I'm surprised Randy Mueller said. That very, very surprised, but Was interesting. I mean, this is a guy because you've seen this but you know, he he mentioned Zac's intangibles. The last thing I've read it was that he wasn't even voted a captain. I mean, when was the last time that the quarterback of a good football team Wasn't one of the captains and there were multiple offensive captain's. He was not picked to be a captain. Which seems to me to be a red flag that you need to figure out now, maybe that's to me. I'm over reacting to that. But how That guy is not one of the captains of your team as the quarterback means You decided not to make him a captain. Like that doesn't happen by accident. Like if you're not voting, the quarterback, a captain. That means it was a choice not to vote for him by the guys around him. So I don't know how you reckon style that with putting him in charge of your NFL team, that's exactly right Number one pick, maybe one of the biggest Flaws or critiques. Whether it's right or wrong has been that Zach Wilson came from a wealthy upbringing doesn't have that kind of like grounded leadership, You know, grit grittiness that People look for that position and that Zach is kind of floated through his football career..

"Um, but I think a second round pick based on his body of work, and if I'm Joe Douglas. Part of that conversation, though, is I'll take whatever I can get for Sam Donald and add it to my four first round picks of calling Nicholas area of the Houston Texan guys. I am not taking no for an answer it because if I could get to Shawn Watson I am not acquiring a great quarterback. I am acquiring the next Derek Jeter. I'm gonna own New York for the next 10 15 years with maybe Kevin Durant and what's going on with the Nets, and I am changing my franchise. So Sam Donald's been good to Shawn Watson is great, and he's a great face of your franchise both on and off the field. It's been an unexpected off season already. We're just hours into it. "So much for listening to the show. We've been talking a lot of football this morning and believe it or not, The Jets may have gotten something right. Can you believe that? Do you believe that we're talking positively about the New York Jets? Well, I wanted to get some more background for you. The Jets fan about Robert Solace. That's why Reached out to my buddy Laura Brit who does the pre and post Game show's on NBC Sports Bay Area for 40 Niners game, she would know. So I want to invite her on to talk about Robert Solid. What up? L b. Good. How's it going? What? What do people need to know? What did Jets fans need to know about Robert Sala? I don't even know where to start. Lawrence. They need to know that he's a player's coach. I have never heard one bad thing about Robert solid, and I am not kidding when I say that. Not one word of negativity about this man. You need to know that ahead of games which this is going to be a change for him because the climate a little bit different there ahead of games. He does his Run stadiums to get his energy out, and I guess nerves maybe a little bit. I wonder if he's going to carry that over as the head coach, as opposed to defensive coordinator. I have a feeling that he will. So he does this stadium stare workout ahead of every game, and it's been the same with the 40 Niners the whole time he's been here, so that's the thing that But he does that. Don't think he's crazy. That's what he does. Um, and that the players just really like him. Kyle Shanahan speaks very highly of him. You know, John Lynch, Everybody loves him. And he's obviously Earned his spot as a head coach. Shanahan when he was in the middle of all these interviews, was like I know he's going to kill it. I'm just not even worried about it at all he seems from I've had limited interactions with him, just especially with Cove in Haven't been able to be in the locker room. None of us have are really around the stadium at all. But and I don't know him as well as I know some of the players and other coaches, but he is Just in outstanding guy. From what I've heard, he tells it like it is very straightforward, which is kind of the whole Kyle Shanahan system. I think he's observed a lot of the things that Shanahan has done and what players respect. He has boundless energy and a game and it's very fun to watch. He is. He is like the little engine that could like he provides a lot of the excitement for his players like he's more excited than they are when they make a place. I enjoy that about him. I'm really gonna miss that energy on the sidelines. I think they're going to get it in what looks like Demi go Ryan's is gonna most likely be Promoted to the defensive coordinator role for the 40 Niners. They've got to do some interviews just to, you know, make quota and make sure that they're doing with the league protocols require, But it does. All signs are pointing to the MI go. Ryan's being The new defensive coordinator for the Niners, and he is taking Michael floor with him as his offensive coordinator in Kyle Shanahan's offense. Where were its its Complementary football. You gotta run game and you got a great defense. How much did he rely on Sala? Because those two things need to go together. If you're gonna have a winning team. Yeah, I mean the solids, obviously a huge part of the 40 Niners success last season. It was it was the defense that got them to the Super Bowl. I don't think that's any secret. And it's no secret that defense wins championships that didn't play out for the 40 Niners. They had some issues in the last quarter of the Super Bowl against the Chiefs. But He was a huge part of this and he is going to be missed sorely with the 40 Niners, and what the Jets are getting is a smart defense of mind. I think that he is more than that. You think? Oh, this guy's that a defense of mine is coach. Everything's going to be defense Defense defense. No, I don't think that you're gonna be getting that with Robert Sal. I think he's very much aware of the offensive scheme that was run with within the 40 Niners and with taking Michael floor with them. It's very clear that that's what he wants to implement. Within the Jets Organization to which could end up helping Sam Donald Outer if they even decide to stick with Sam Donald. That's a whole other issue, but I think that there is more to Robert solid than just defense, but he is. I'm trying to think he's all gas, no brakes. That's one of his taglines. He also wears a bracelet that says I'm going to get this wrong. It says something like God violence or something on it. Like you want a defensive coach there you could. They all wear these bracelets? It's something like that. It's like violence, or I can't remember. I'm going to think of it, and I'll tweet it out later to you. And there. You can tweet it out. Um s o. He is like all in that head space of like Defensive minded But he's gonna want to revamp the offense there. No doubt I'm so struck by watching him on the sidelines. Of the energy. You brought it up earlier, like the energy that he shows on the sidelines, And obviously, when you're a head coach, it's a little bit more difficult to To be that expressive on the sidelines. But I got to tell you, I'll be like I love that about him. And I imagine whether it's jets players or Jets fans that they're gonna love that, too. Quentin Williams already supported Robert Solid before Robert Solid, even got the job. He sent out a tweet or something on his instagram. You know, encouraging the Jets to bring Robert Sala on. So I think he's those players. You know, They're friends with other guys, another locker rooms. They know what's going on in the league. It's no secret that the 40 Niners have a really special Locker room, and a lot of that is because of Robert's all a lot of it's because of the type of coach that Kyle Shanahan is too and solace had a front row seat to that. He knows how to get guys on board. He knows what it takes to get guys to trust you. He knows what it takes to get guys to buy in and believe, and I found his tag line he wears on his wrist, okay. What is it? He has those little rubber bracelets. You know, I'm talking about one says extreme violence, Extreme violence. So you were off. I wasn't off. I just couldn't think of the other word, extreme violence and not just violence. He wants extreme violence, and one says, Take.

"Urban Meyer on What it means for Sam Donaldson, with Michael Floor coming over, is a passing game coordinator from San Fran, now running the offense for Sala in New York. Well, I'll just I'll tell you two things. Okay, Number one, You know, I know Joe Douglas Like Sam Donald. I also know the Niners staff. Um, you know, a number of the guys. They're like Sam Donald coming out. S o. You know that piece of it? I think you know you can't take that file it away. The second piece of it is that you know as much as I think you want to compare Sam Donald against Justin Fields, Sam Donald Against Jack Wilson going into the process. The truth is, it's not exactly equal. You know, Sam, Donald, you're gonna have to make a commitment, um, on a six year option. After you know what we get to may and this year for the first time, those 50 year options are fully guaranteed to talk about, you know, making a $25 million commitment startled. You know if you're making that $25 million commitment, that means what's right around the corner is ah 40 million per year contract. So I think with Donald, you gotta ask yourself a larger question, Which is, can I see myself entering into that sort of commitment with him? Over the next two years where the quiet the question with a Wilson or a, um or or fields will be. Is he a good enough player worthy of drafting second overall? Because if he is I'm gonna have on the chief of the next to a couple of years, which means I'm gonna be able to build a different way around him. So I think there's just interesting in that, like it was a player they like in house. But you know for them toe go forward with that player is going to cost them quite a bit of money, whereas you know where they they weren't a choose one of the younger options. They do get to kind of reset that clock having quarterback on a rocky deal, so just sort of a complex, interesting decision they have to make. And, um you know, I think it's good news that they have, you know, you know, do do Coordinator coming in Was steeped in the system is very, very quarterback family and the one that's coming from San Francisco Grayson buy Albert Bruce, senior NFL reportedly content strategist. But MM QB on Freddy and Fitz Simmons on ESPN Radio and XM Channel 80. What were people in the NFL sing about Jacksonville taking on Urban Meyer to get erased the stench of one of 15 and especially going forward travelogues going to be that first pick that they're going to take in the draft? Yeah, man. I mean, this was this was a This was it wasn't it? Well, well kept secret over the last few weeks. You know about last Friday. We're bugging you would listen this hour on another Friday. I know, I know. I know. And I You know it's funny, because, you know, I remember. I think I said this to you, Uh, see if it's the last weekend. It was like we saw I think I saw a headline. Someone has said the Jaguars are interviewing urban buyer. No, no, no, That's not what's happening. Urban Meyer's Jaguars. Hey, you know what, Like, here's the thing like the Jaguars organization, I think spin sideways for a long time, and you know, there's just punched a lot closer in that building. It's not even just the football side. I've had people who worked on the football side. Tell me that it's hard for football operations because it would take a massive effort, toe get there and then sustain it and change the culture of the building overall. And sort of, you know, I think a lot of ways of parallel I've drawn and I think I've probably said this. You guys before his buffalo before Shah McDermott Brandon being out there where before they got there. There was just I think just a systemic problem that needed to be erased and they went and they did it. They cleaned house and they built it from the ground up. And I think this is gonna have to be the same sort of thing where you kick it down to the studs and you rebuild it. And the good news is that that's urban Meyer's for today. You know, Program building is what he's great at the accident knows. I think that that part of it is going to. There's gonna be an adjustment, obviously coming from the college game, But I think there has done enough worked, understand what that's going to have to look like. You're the important thing. I think it's sort of building an identity and rebuilding with the organization isn't giving them an identity. And I just I, you know, personally guys like knowing what I know about urban and how strongly feels that culture. How strongly he feels about alignment. Our passion is about those things. I, you know, And then you see some of the names like, you know, give you guys some of them that I've heard your Charlie strong. Um, yeah. Chris Ash. Former head coach at Rutgers. Morgan Scalley defensive coordinator It you thought was a linebacker for enemy you thought it was years ago. Steve Addazio, the sitting coaches Colorado State try to get into the offensive line coach. They're all these names. That kind of understand what Kurt, what are we talking about? When he talked about culture in alignment, and so it's gonna be interesting to see him try to implement that that the NFL level because you know there's a scheme piece of it in again. I think they'll be able to adjust their Then there's going to be. You know how you build relationships with guys who are a little bit older than the ones you used to pose in relationships, but probably have senior NFL reporter for MM QB on Freddie Fitzsimmons and ESPN Radio room. Quick. You mentioned Eric the enemy. Why don't get the sense that he's going to be the offensive coordinator cancel the chief's next year and not a head coach in the NFL next year. He has a tough question. Answer, Freddie. Um, you know, I would just say he's not alone like there are other guys who've been in this position. I know there's a guy in New Orleans P. Carmichael, who's been Sean Payton's office coordinator for 12 years, perceptions out there that he's not a head coach and He hasn't gotten a shot and you know he's still there. So I I wish I had a better answer for you. It's just, you know, I I sometimes you things come down the connections. Sometimes these things come down to, you know who is lined up with who and You know, I think a couple of these yet he had a decent shot at. Um you know, there were seven open and then we're not. We're not done yet. You know, but My sense is the Chargers job probably probably goes toe brown and a ball or Brandon's fairly. I am not quite sure what the Eagles are going to do, But I know they're gonna look at some college coaches..

"Jets? Or falcons, who you got. All right. So I'm going to answer this question. Honestly, and I'm going to be accused of home or is, um any number of other things not going to do it? I believe it is going to be the Jets. Believe the Jets are going to get much better quickly. Wow. I think that the Jets have a blank slate. That they can paint. I think what they did to Sam Donald by decimating their own roster of talent was was completely unfair, but they've now left themselves the opportunity. To build a roster quickly. They've got all this cap space. They have a neck, citing new coaching staff. They have all these draft picks, and I'm a big fan. If they get the quarterback, right, and I've always believed in Donald, I think they've got a chance. Now the Jaguars is the easy one to say. Because they've got the legendary coach and they've got the number one pick in the quarterback, and they've got Justus much cap space and draft picks. But I'm going to say maybe with my heart as much as my head. I'm going to say the Jets. Let's mark the tape. We'll come back and we'll see. In a couple of years if I was right, greeny and bubble with who you got on ESPN radio bubble. What's next? Yeah, let me just ask you this one question Do the Jets haven't offensive genius? Just they got. I don't think they do. They got rid of the brilliant offensive mind. They got rid of the brilliant offense. So good luck winning without him. I'm Best of luck. I like that. Let's go to the MBA. LeBron's got four titles. Kevin Durant has to but now Cady as James Harden, and that should help him in the East. But is it enough to get him some more titles who finishes their career with more titles? Well, LeBron or K d who you got? I thought the other one was the easiest one that you asked me. The answer is LeBron.

"Million different reasons. Obviously. Division around games this weekend. They're all great. I gave you. The keys to each will give you picks. Chris Berman is coming up live and a half hour as the Bills circle the wagons deep in the playoffs again. We'll go through all of the playoff stuff with Boomer. And then the coaching carousel is spinning. Urban Meyer finally jumped on in Jacksonville on the Jets have found their head coach. And Robert Saleh and everyone asking me my thoughts on the Jets coach and, understandably so because people perceive you associate me with the franchise, I get it, and I like it, and so I was going to share my thoughts again as they did off the top of the show. But then I got a text. My friend Dan Orlovsky, who was raving about Robert Saleh and I said, Dan, I'm going to need you on the Goodyear hotline to jump in for a minute and share this insight. So here's Dan Orlovsky with me here on ESPN Radio. Dan tell me why I and all the jet fans should be excited about the new coach. Good morning greeting. First of all, I was with Robert for a couple years early on his coaching career number one. Remarkable listener. You know that that's the obviously huge part of communication is How many coaches talk at players and he listens and then talks with players. I remember having conversations with some of our defense of guys like Kumiko Ryan and then raving about Solid would just constantly be listening to what with the kind of their input was both in game, Not a game preparation. Offseason. All that stuff really good listener. Number two Arrives in adversity so often, coaches in our league get jobs because they had, you know, seven all pros that year in their offensive defense was incredible. And they skyrocket and all these guys great. They're overwhelmed. You know, they lost so many guys this year. And if you look at the way they changed. He was adaptable. You know, he changed the way he called defense this year because of that I loved the fluidity of his football team. The third thing would be the fact that he's bringing that look floors Little brother as a play caller. If you look at the good offenses in the NFL right now, the other haven't absolute rock star quarterback. Or they come from the Mike Shanahan Tree. Cleveland, Tennessee San Francisco Green Bay, Minnesota. They're all from this Mike Shanahan tree and it's been 40 years of being good football in the NFL. So I abso he was number one for me as a head coaching candidate. Is the absolute home run for the New York Jets fan base. All right, well, I love it. And for all the obvious reasons, let me ask you a follow up. Then if I can't Well, just stay with this a minute and then I'll get to the green list coming up shortly. But the offense if they're going to run, so, Adam Schefter. I don't know if you saw this, but he was on SportsCenter last night, and you and I both know schefty well enough to know he doesn't say these things because it's his opinion. He says this because someone is telling it to him. He said that he expects Sam Donald to be the starting quarterback for the Jets when the season begins, So you know this offense. This is a matter of floor Rob LaFleur's offense and had been so successful in Green Bay. You played in it, You know it. Does that work for Sam Donald? Is that the right decision for the Jets to make It does not work for Sand Arnold. It's the exact absolute fit for to be excels for Sam Donald. This is the custom made often for Sam Donald Gil set. This is not something that is just going to work. If Sam is there, this is going to be the perfect situation Scheme wise for Sam. Darling, we're talking about an offense that one Is about manipulation to get the quarterback out on the perimeter on a consistent basis. Three builds an easy throws and four then five times the game is going to ask him to make big time froze and you have to have the talent to do that, especially on the move. This isn't a fit. This is a place where a quarterback talents like Sam Donald can't excel in. Think of two years ago. I think it was Jeremy bases offense when Sam I think on the backside of his rookie year started play good football. Think of that offense. But accelerated and that's why you know, I'll be candid with you, Greenlee. I had some conversations over the past three weeks with people that are attached to Sam. Um, and they asked me, Dan, if he's not in New York. What is the one place that you think you need to get to To revive or thrive, and I told them get to San Francisco. I don't care what it costs you get to San Francisco. It's the scheme. It's the offense that will allow his talent to shine. Now, the San Francisco's Keep scheme come to New York. Oh, okay. Well, this thistles delightful. Let's play some celebratory music. Because this is about as good as it could possibly get Dan. Thanks. A million for jumping in. I appreciate I appreciate you sharing this insight will see on NFL live later today. Entertaining. All right, That's Dan Orlovsky again. He texted me a little sort of abbreviated version of that while I was on get up this morning, and I just texted him back. Can you pop on the radio with me for two minutes and share that and that wound up being even more and even better than I expected. I'll just stay with this a minute and then we'll come back and we'll do the green list coming up a little bit later here, and I'll remind you that if you miss anything, I did an entire monologue on the Jets. And they're hiring earlier today. "And then Matt Russell obviously in the mix as well. And so I think that you need to have somebody or or a few people like that around you if your AH player or legendary coach and you were jumping into the front office without having done the legwork of working your way through scouting. Well, BK. We appreciate it as a zoo. Always. I do have the initials game sitting here, So thank you. Sure so we don't get to talk about the quarterback. I'm not going back quickly. I'll ask you quickly when you when you heard when you heard that exit interview by Vic Fangio when he said That Jew lock can be the starting quarterback. What was your reaction? Well, I think he was one sending a message that drew saying this is certainly not your job, even if we don't trade for Sam Donald or Matt Stafford and don't draft a quarterback in the first or second round to come in and really, really compete with you. And the veteran that we sign is a nick Foles type or even a Ryan Fitzpatrick type. But nothing's given and also to your point or as you guys were trying to figure out. I thought we talked about a little bit earlier this week, but after doing a little more digging The new GM is going to have a saying. If you have a GM that comes in and says they hate drew lock, and they want to make a move now or they want real competition. Or they want to use the number nine pick on Trey Lancer or the Wilson Kid from BYU of their available or trade up to go get one of those Guys or even a Justin Fields. If you can get to where he is the then it will be the GM's call, just like the Justine Simons deal on the Von Miller deal, And all of that will be the GM's call. And Vic Fangio's future Beyond this year will be the GM scholars was obviously his assistance. So at the same time, there's a good chance that whoever they hire likes your lock enoughto want him to have a shot to compete because of how the organization has set it up. Order like to succeed with all the pieces they put around them the way the salary cap is structured, so I think that GM is empowered to make a move. I just wouldn't expect that any of these five people to this point will run your lock out of town before at least given him a new offseason with Pat Shurmur and all these young guys around him, all right, that's OK away. "Urban Meyer. You tell me why this will be a successful movies. He makes that transition from a legendary college coaching career to possibly be in the next head coach of the Jaguars. I don't know that it's going to be a successful transition. The number one thing is urban health. Can he? Can he stay healthy? Can he stay? You know where he's at right now? For two years, It seemed much longer than that. Jets were nine and 23 under the former Dolphins and now former Jets head coach. We go to a Jets reporter for W. Van in New York and also the New York Post. And that's Brian Costello. Brian first off before we get into the head coaching situation, Let's look at the quarterback spot. Jets will have the second overall pick right now. Do you think the Jets are gonna be taken a quarterback? Or will they be keeping Sam Donald on the roster? Yeah, right now I lean toward them taking a quarterback, But there's obviously a big piece of the puzzle. We don't know and not to the head coach is going to be so they're gonna have a big stake in this, uh, just gonna have to evaluate these draft prospects. Obviously, there's just the season still not over for Justin Field. So it's a long way to go. But right now I lean toward them traffic quarterback and starting over. What could the potential value be in return if the Jets do like to take a Justin Fields or Zach Wilson and Trade Sam Donald Yeah, I few weeks ago, I didn't think was much because you know, everyone was like Trevor Laurence, and then it's everyone else. Those guys don't have a lot of value, but it seems like as happens with quarterbacks. The value is going up and we'll see what feels can do in the national championship game if he has a big game. That and that family is sort of like what he did last night in the semifinals, then value goes up either more, But it also is the double s sure if he plays really well that it's more tempting for the Jets occasion, so Typically, quarterback has gained value as a draft, right first goes on. So you know someone's gonna fall in love the point. These guys may be the just to take a big trade and get a ton of picks for And then if they do trade Sam Donald, What are you looking back and return there is that they get a second round pick for Sam. I think that could you get a second round pick and then something else that you know six. Something like that. I do think It's only three years ago, when Sam was in the draft. There's lots of people who thought he was going to be a great quarterback. There's lots of people who think the reason he has not become that because of the Jets because of They're coaching situations that have lost their situation. The cards got the number one pick. They had Cliff Kingsbury a set by Let's bring in column Murray. Is to a song of a lower should he be worried at that three spot that the Dolphins will replace him. Justin Fields has an opportunity. This is the type of game Where you can go out and you can tell everybody And a bad pandemic year where he had an off year. Since it's like a game where you can show up and say, You know what? Trevor Laurence? Might be number one. But you better take me number two. Like Justin Fields. Obviously, he has a larger track record than Zach Wilson. He has more for us to look at them. What the hell we just saw from Trey Lance, which was was nothing. I think the nest the next best opportunity at quarterback. Behind. Trevor Laurence isn't Mack Jones is not Zach Wilson. He might end up being better. I think odds are The next quarterback off the board should probably be Justin Fields. This is what he had to say. Just just the motivating factor one, beating Clemson last week. I just think you know everybody doubting us, you know, just just pushed us a little more and like I said earlier in the week I prepared for this game like I've never prepared for a game before, So I think that showed in the field and I'm just proud of my brother's part of my teammates and Out of the way they played. Yeah. Take that same attitude with you to the NFL. You know if your team in the in the league if you need a quarterback You shouldn't have to feel like Georgia Bulldog fans. Let's just put it that way. You don't want to be the team. That feels like You know you missed out. Because I think after Trevor Laurence Justin Fields, He has a chance to show everybody Hey. Take me right after him, and I think he would be the best investment. I want to open up the phone lines 855 to 1 to four CBss 855 to 1 to four. CBS. We know Trevor Lawrence's going number one. "Which was hilarious, by the way, but whatever Um, the fact that it's become a thing is, it's just amuses me to no end. But that's not happening. Let me just tell you now, master not having me just tell you Okay, It's not happening unless something drastic changes. It is not happening. I've already laid out the options. I've told you guys with the real options are if the Jets were let go, Sam Donald John Elway were like him. That would have been one that that looked at. Some of the other options out there, Champ Kelly comes here. Nick Foles jumps right to the top of that list. Carter Minshew. Andy Dalton. Those two guys, you looking at you You're looking at a one year stopgap, veteran type. Come in their push to lock a little bit or pick up the pieces. If it's true, I can't hack it through training camp. Which by which allegedly had a training camp, by the way. You got her really got hurt when I r could even practice. Yeah. This was a truncated training camp. This last one, and then he traded up here. Yeah, I'd love to see him, you know, actually get a preseason to be interesting. Everybody that for now. Like that's what you're looking at. That's what you're going to get and then what they're going to do from there. Say Okay, either true Lucky's or is not the guy and now look at the draft next year when Oh, by the way, you get some better quarterbacks coming out this class Despite people telling you, it's strong is really not, You know, I'm excited about the following your class, You know? I mean, I'm a huge Sam Sam. How God and then you have to say right now, Sam, how B Q B one b in this class not to be, too. Q B one b class. Um, you know, this class, handsome guys that could be projects Fields, Wilson. You know, those guys could be project lances alongside you guy. Spencer Rattlers can be something. Yeah, Carson Strong and Nevada is gonna be something a lot of people like Slovis. Yeah, Slovis another name. There's a lot of talent in that class after this year. This year is, you know there's a lot of names. There's probably a lot of quarterbacks taken the first round. But it's an indicator of need. Not an indicator of talent. You go back and look look at the draft class that had what Christian ponder getting taken 13th Overall, all the guys they're like five quarterbacks locker with Jake locker. It wasn't a talented quarterback in their classroom. I knew it, but they're a lot of teams that needed them, so they were rolled the dice on it anyway. Some Potter was a day three guys somehow got picked it like 13th overall by the Vikings. You know? Jake Locker was Tim Tebow without the cult I love that. I'm just saying like it's you know, you go back and see if that becomes the case. I mean, you know, Look, you're talking about organizational direction. You know that case your pick number nine. Maybe your direction is to trade back and acquire their Ugo and I tried to hint at this on Twitter earlier. I even use the word hits. Everybody could kind of get it. If you're a new general manager coming in, and you've listened to everything I've just told you about What? Just smart. Career move would be What do you do it? Nine If your if your guy let's say your guys, there were pickings were picking 799 sorry. Seven was sore because yeah, if if your guys Michael Parsons, and he's gone. And you know the guy's past her town. I'm not. I'm not throwing those names out there saying they are the guy but I am in hand. Um, you're so you're so sorry. So sorry. Love this little TV sledgehammer. If those two are your guys And Parsons has gone by that point, You could probably trade back a little bit. And pick up certain because you got Stokes is a fall back option or to get out of Georgia corner of Georgia, right so you could probably trade back into the teens and still get a pretty good player. Same kind of player you would have gotten at nine..

NFL Draft 2019: Notable Picks from Latest Expert Mock Drafts

"In reality isn't a difficult project. What is going to happen when we don't know in particular with this draft. We don't know what's going to happen. The number one pig came to get this thing over with. So he could really find out what's going on as opposed to all these different mock drafts that are out there. I'm right there with you. And I want to thank you for allowing me to come on the show. But it's a lot of group thing group three group out there. And that's the biggest thing that you see right now. It's a lot of my drafts. Everybody's just tired of becomes tired exercise. And we just wanna get it up to see the actually van happy. Now. How many have you done yourself, Jordan? I went back and looking I see one that was in January. Did you think that was your first one that was released pretty it's pretty close to what would be current stuff? Now, how many mock drafts have you come up with from January till now so I'll like to do one at the midway point before the combine. And then I do another one the week of the draft. So I'll be coming out with another one probably on Thursday morning. Okay. Now, how significant of a change would you have overall? He was certain things going to be changed. But the big the big pigs. You think there's going to be significant change from yours? The original ones. Now, I think there will be and I think it's going to start with calamari, and they both have those guys flip flop. Out in Nate both at the second big. And then we'll see what happens from there. Okay. So do you think your and we're talking about Jordan Reed and L draft staff writer for cover one host of the draft board podcast. You think for sure it is a foregone conclusion cliff Kingsbury in the Zona cardinals are going to draft collar with the number one pick. I don't wanna say it's a foregone conclusion because it at the same time last year everyone thought that Sam darnold was going to be the big to the Cleveland Browns just a year ago. So I think it's probably about seventy five percent chance of going to the cardinals. But we all know we just have to buckle up and see what happens during the drag because things could change at any moment. You mentioned some touched on before. Why does that keep happening years ago? It was Goff and Wenzel. They're not going to be top guys. Boom. What do you know team straight up? They go one to last year was all about darnold. Nobody knew Baker Mayfield gonna go number one. And then he did this year. It's all all about Murray, and even has to a certain degree where people were saying, oh has is going to be gone before. Let's say number six the giants pick. Now, all of a sudden, it sounds like not only may be there. But the giants may not even want them. They'll take Daniel Jones with number sakes. Why does that happen? Why are people so all over the place with quarterbacks in particular in these drafts leading up to the actual draft those quarterbacks other most important position, not only football. Sports period. It has nobody has a clue about football. They know exactly what the quarterback does and how they operate. So with that being said with these quarterbacks flopping over the past few months and even weeks, it just shows how much lack of infield that we do have. And we're not ineffective. So we're not supposed the curtain back and meet with these guys person or gets to know them personally. So we don't know what's going on in the mind that they've got them in or these other executives going on around the league, Jordan. I respect the honesty right there. You're right. Still fun. It's all about so fun to read about I get and we got to do it, and it's fun to project different things. But I guess the reality is without let's say, there's no Andrew luck there, and nobody knows for certain who's going number one without that. It's hard to project these things and the GM's arm can give anybody Dave Gettleman not gonna come out and tell Joe giant fan or whoever in the media what he's going to do it his pick. Why should he right? Jordan. Right. I mean, we saw Jon Gruden sin their whole scouting staff home. So it just shows you just how secretive these plans are and no team really wants their hands shown or what is going to be revealed on draft. They so I think we're gonna we're gonna see a while. Right. If I'm not sure exactly what the giants are going to do. But I think they're going to get a lot of backlash if they somehow don't find the quarterback future. Whether that's at six or at seventeen so let's get into some specifics here, we're talking about Jordan Reed NFL draft staff writer for cover one host of the draft board podcast. You mentioned you think the cardinals are going to take collar Murray with the number one pick. Do you think that's a mistake? I was talking before about how an organization can hire new head coach draft a quarterback in the first round last year guy. What was the best quarterback coming out less? Your Josh Rosen. And then a you later fire the head coach cliff kings, Mary you could certainly argue whether that was a good higher. Not. And I don't think it is. And now take collar Murray with the number one overall picks. Do you think will be good pick a good move for this car does organization? To keep that number one pick and take collar Murray. I think it would be and I say or I'll put it this way cliff Kingsbury, everyone likes to point out just how fancy as offense is and how well operated at Texas Tech. But it really didn't work like a lot of people were saying that it worked should have work and with cliff Kingsbury, he's probably gonna get gonna get one chance to be an NFL head coach and what better way into your guy in there. He has no ties to Josh Rosen. He was not there when the team drafted him last year, and he has he doesn't have a freelance relationship with him. But on the flip side with Colin Murray. We've seen him and his offense and everybody seems famous video circulating on. If cliff gains vary ever had the overall selection that he without question would say column, Mary so I think with Kyla Mary why such a great fit in this offense. If you think about all the great young quarterback that entered the league over the past few years and even going back to last year with Baker Mayfield. Sam Donald Josh Allen. Even Lamar Jackson to an extent all of them have have had one. Thing in common, and that's having the ability to create all script or being able to operate and when things break down, and that's exactly what column or is able to do. But with Josh Rosen and the state of Arizona Cardinals off it's a front. I think if they're able to select calamari he can kinda relaxed weakness that they have a front just because of the lack just because of the -bility he has to create scripts though, I think he would be a really good fit in Arizona. Interesting fascinated see a if they keep the big if they do in fact, take him and see what happens with Josh Rosen. And then obviously how it's going to pan out because Kingsbury Murray will be must watch to see how that works out for the cardinals. If in fact, they team up who's the team most likely to trade down from two or three there's a lot of rumors teams will to trade down on this. Good debt specially defensively. Do you see the Niners? Do you see the jets maybe trading out of their top spots here? I think the night is it gonna take if they're just because they haven't used need off of the they don't have anybody there. Now, they did trae for deport but they still need some help off of the age. I think they're sit along the interior would force Buckner Eric St. and now with Solomon Thomas transition inside. So I think they're fine on the interior but outside of D Ford. They don't have any other threat coming off the edge. So you plays both in there with that young up and coming into your your, and then you pair would be Ford. I think that would be a really good combination of front now. One thing that's a really interesting spot is the New York Jets at three because is very wide open out there that they wanna trade back just because they don't think there's a lot of value there at that. But they only have six peaks. So they wanna get back and maybe regain some of those recoup some of those that they had to trade for last year when they acquire them darnold. So maybe they wanna trade back and still get that edge rusher that they need even if Quinton Williams or Josh Allen is there. And maybe they have those guys graded similarly on their boards day. Okay. With trade him back. Maybe six or seven is still getting a guy like a month with or somebody of that nature. Now who would be the team most likely to trade up with the jets for number three. See that's the biggest problem because this similar to last year's draft is that there's no quarterback that teams wanna trade up for third spot like a Sam darnold from last year. So it takes two to party and with a trade. They don't have a partner right now. I think but maybe some team has Haskins on their board. Maybe like Cincinnati at eleven I could see them or Washington trading. Alway from fifteen up to three now with a lot of draft capital. But I'm just using example, we have teams that could straight up. So that overall selection, right? And that's why it's intriguing when you look at what the jets having that number three big rumor to be wanting to trade out of it. I mean, if they don't think that Alan is war that I don't know what they're thinking there. I wanna get more picks back. Maybe get good players. Let's say the do trade, in fact with the giants team that, you know, look, it was rumored last year that that could possibly happen is rumored again this year. Because the giants won't their quarterback. Do you think the giants need to trade up from six to get there the quarterback that they want? I know Gettleman throwing out a lot of smokescreens here. But ultimately, do you think has gains or Jones will be there at number six for the giants thing Jones definitely will be and odd just don't really know about Haskins right now. Because last week we saw that he was going to be a top five selection this week. They're saying, right. Fifteen. So there's a lot of rumors out there. And we really don't know. But if the giants won't be sure I think they should trade up to the third spot to secure their guy. Just because if easier guys go hitting trade up and get him and don't wait on anybody. Just in case team jumps you. And now you're gonna be stuck maybe reaching on through lock or even Daniel Jones who do you like better out of those? I'm assuming you like Murray the best out of the quarterbacks. Give me your take on Haskins Jones. So I have it Murray at the top. And then I have happiness, and then I have locked and then have Danny Jones right after that. And I'm a big fan of the top two guys in Haskins emerge. And I say that because they are a bit different as far as this guilty. I don't know we talked about earlier folks here. What I love about him is. Yes, he's a one year start.

Less-mobile Aaron Rodgers creates 'double-edged sword' for Packers offense

"When Aaron Rodgers went down in the second quarter and he was grabbing that knee and he had to be wheeled off of Lambeau Field. I'm not a lot of got it was over. I really, really did. I said it's over. He's not coming back. It's over the season is over the Green Bay Packers are absolutely positively. Nothing without him. And this of championship aspirations has been reduced to rubble in the blink of an. It didn't Raja's obviously, when he got wheeled off the Sean Khazar formerly at a Cleveland Browns was turnover. Waiting to happen was absolutely God awful. Almost got Hugh Jackson, Five last season. He was so awful. He comes up in there. There's a strip sack about a hands of Khalil Mack. This also a pick six by Khalil Mack. The listen clear maga- Santis ago. He's clearly not in football shape, but there's a reason it's four time all pro who made all protein, both as a defensive back or does the reason why to gave up two first round picks to get. There's a reason why bears were willing to give this money, the brother, the money they will give. There is a reason everybody should have their eyes on Jon Gruden as we speak in Oakland, California. You can't pick up the phone and call the MAC, daddy himself Khalil Mack. You can't sit up there and use your salesman like approach your motivational tactics to see what you can do to convince this due to stay in Oakland. When approached. By reporters, I believe it was Chris Collins worth, but I'm not sure Khalil Mack was asked if more of a concerted effort had been made to reach him and have a conversation with him and say, look, we want you here in Oakland, cappella water and ultimately Las Vegas, come hell or high water. We want you as a part of the silver and black. We're gonna do everything we can take care you with that have made a difference. Khalil Mack said yes, he said yes and affected. He said, just all that we should need to know. But it didn't go down that way. It didn't go down that way. And as a result of it not going down that way. You see what we have before us.

Antonio Brown pitches Dez Bryant to the Steelers

"Why? If you're the newer jets, aren't you trying to come to some agreement in some kind of middle ground with Sam Donald on this because that means every other contract that comes to be, you have to come to every other every other contract, but Sam Donald doesn't play every other position he plays the quarterback which is premium change in any way. Now you're seeing more guarantees. And one of the few teams though that have this language in their contract, and this is this happened, Jill votes with the with the chargers chargers as an organization in the NFL our they regard. They're actually picked to win the AFC how the organization regarded around the national football. Everybody says that the charges are one of the worst organizations and football in terms of how they deal with contracts, how they relate to their players. So I don't think the charges are the model for what you wanna do. If you're the New York Jets, this all aside week one who's the starting quarterback for the jets, I would like it to be teddy Bridgewater just because the jets have three games in ten days. They've got a Monday night game Sunday night game in Thursday night on the road in Cleveland. I would like it to be teddy Bridgewater just because I think that's a lot for a rookie quarterback to digest. But I think that we'll see Sam Donald sooner rather than later. I think the last time we saw first round draft pick not play at the quarterback position is what he sees and was Aaron Rodgers back in two thousand five. You don't think Josh mccown. Listen, I love Josh mccown, but I think we saw the best of Josh mccown was last year being five and eleven journeyman quarterback for we all agree on that. But teddy Bridgewater we don't know how healthy he is. I mean, three games in ten days is a lot. You almost feel like you throw Josh mccown to the bulls. Let him take a beating then Bridgewater and then eventually late in the season. You get Donald up and going get what you're saying. But Todd Bowles has got to win more than five. Your. Chris, we're making stick around even long. Could Dez Bryant teaming up with Antonio Brown and Pittsburgh AB. Sure. Hope. So that's next on first things. First. Back here with Chris Canty and we are talking Dez Bryant a few days into most NFL training camps. And Brian is still not on a roster while the Browns and Bryant reportedly have mutual interests. Steelers wide receiver. Antonio Brown took to Twitter to recruit Dez. Brown tweeted, come play with me, does Bryant. Let's get the chip, eat greedy, big plates, see better option for Dez Steelers, Browns would go Steelers just because it would seem like if you add to that Brown's receiving group with Josh Gordon Jarvis Landry seems like that would be a combustible mix. So I think I would air on the side of going with a team that's more veteran ball club. They've got a veteran, quarterback, fetch skill position players. They're not going to be relying on this to be a number one or number two option for that matter because they got juju Smith Schuster. So I look at the Steelers situation, say what that probably fits Dez a little bit more than the Cleveland Browns. And plus we know that Ben Rothlisberger. Has been known to pay backyard football a little bit. Being able to add live run the scramble drill pretty much better than anybody in the NFL. I think Dez Bryant would fit that style more so than the Cleveland Browns and what Hugh Jackson wants to do with that offense. I get where you're going and where you come in from. But I think that das- wants to have a great year wherever he goes. He only wants a one year deal, so he wants to put up some type of numbers. So next offseason he can get a big contract in Pittsburgh. I mean, obviously got Antonio Brown. You got juju Smith soocer levian Bill catches a lot of balls like he got one hundred and thirty two targets lash..
