No One Can Possibly Be Excited for the President's Cup
"Well, like I'll sell it. I'll sell it for pennies on the dollar, you know, outside the gate, good night. That's my daughter. She's just, she doesn't know what to do about the world of golf. Got context today, by the way, first time at a glasses. Volleyball got hit in the face with glasses, had to switch to context. Anyway, that's sitting there. Yeah, tough adjustment. I'm sitting there and I have this corporate ten or whatever. I'm like, dude, I wasn't live versus PGA Tour for the president's cup. Call it the freaking traders cup. Call it whatever the hell you want to call it. Yes. Yeah, streaming on Pornhub, platinum subscription. I don't give a shit what happens like people are going to tune into this thing like you've never even seen or heard in your entire life. Right. It's going to be tenfold of what it is right now. And I don't even want to discount how good the players are for the international team that are going to end up making it that never would before because they're a lot better than you and I are. However, it's not the same. And then the PGA Tour teams watered down too because they're missing some of their best guys. Right. So if you're listening to this and you're really intrigued about watching the president's cup, you're a free con serial killer. You go around, stocking people, where's the body? Let me know that type of situation. That's basically what's happened. There's no way anyone's excited to watch this. No. And I don't even know what it is. I don't even know what month to sit, I don't know. I only know where it is. That's the thing. I have not kept up with it at all. I don't care. And the problem is, I should care because I have friends. In it, and I don't know where it is. Sam Burns plant. Sam's plan. Yeah. And I have no idea where it is, when it is, no idea. I know that Sam won't even see the 13th pole. He won't even see it. No, like, whoever he's playing doesn't matter. He's like, he's a piece of two shot advantage every time he plays. And speaking of, like, that's a thing. Yeah, I don't even know the captains are. I believe it's Davis love. Is that correct? Is the captain of the stateless love in Trevor implement and I feel horrible because Trevor Owens a nice guy. Trevor Spence, he lost his he lost his best guys. I guess he gets Hideki like, can you clone a decade? Like, I don't know, like who cloned the first sheep. It was at in Scotland, go over to that guy, clone Hideki 11 times before this thing starts, and maybe we'll have ourselves a freaking golf tournament. Well, yeah, maybe. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. No, I said maybe credit to myself for saying maybe. Maybe we would. 11 a decades might have a chance. Possibly, I don't know. With the current team, absolutely 0%, no chance at all. I don't know what the money line is on the United States in that one, but man. It's gotta be it's gotta be minus it's gotta be -900. I'm gonna look. You spend a million put a million on it to make a hundred grand. Like, come on. It's worth it though, 'cause it's a lock. I made that up. Let's see what it really is. It's worth it. It's a lock. But anyway, I mean, that's one of the things though. The golf golf needs this shit to be over with. This squabble. Minded 500. USA's -500. That's it. Oh my God. That's pretty bad. That's pretty bad, honestly, though, because they give you fluff. Like the internationals are plus that moon 50. Match play is a little bit of a carnage shell, like you know that. You can play best fall on both players can be 6 under and you can lose to two guys that shoot 74, but they best fall 7 under, right? However, -500 seems like

"I think you can learn more from watching a guy like Matt Fitzpatrick play golf than a guy like, you know, Sam Burns or will zalatoris or some sort of new age athlete type because Moffitt's Patrick isn't the guy with all these physical tools, transcendent talent, anything like that. I mean, he's a talented guy. Obviously. But the reason why Fitzpatrick won the U.S. open today is because of he did the same things that you or I could do in order to get better at our game. He was really disciplined in picking a plan and sticking with it. He wasn't trying to blow everything up, as I was saying, it's trying to play his own game. It doesn't particularly care how something looks if it helps. Wide ships cross handed and pots with a pin in, because he thinks it'll help him. And when I asked him about that, do you ever get embarrassed about how something looked? He didn't even compete with him. He's like, no, you know, if I wanted to finish second my whole life, I would. I would care about something looks, but it helps, why would I? And so these are all just really interesting and good reminders just for the golfer at home, right? Who cares how something looks if it helps? If you're disciplined, if you stick with a plan and if you pick a plan and stick with it, you'll get better because of it. If you're smart about the way you work, then you'll get better at golf and you'll get incrementally in your improved incrementally every single day to the point where you're playing the best gulf of your life. And to me, that's a really inspiring, cool message that Matt Fitzpatrick represents. Folks, I do want to take a second to tell you about rad Moore golf. That is the best apparel company in the game. I was wearing it all week long at Brookline getting a lot of comments. A lot of comments in our drop zone specific line. But what I want.
US Open Champion Picks
"Because we have a massive event this week. We have the U.S. open. In my opinion, the greatest event of the year, the national championship. We call it the world championship, really. I think it's the strongest field of the year. It's definitely stronger than the masters and the British open. The PGA might be close, but the players, the players in the U.S. open are the two strongest fields of the year. The U.S. opens on the hardest course of the mall. So I think the most deserving champion of the years this week, who you got. This is the U.S. open is always, it always brings somebody that's freaking pretty tough, man. And we'll see the USGA like, we'll just see if they lose their mind. We've had scenarios where like a shinnecock with Mickelson stopping the ball because it's rolling off the green. And then we've had some or Rory one like a congressional where he shot a million under par. So it's going to be interesting to see how the course set up. I heard it's a little quirky, not like a bad test or anything, but ish greens. Just kind of old school, a lot of dog legs, things like that. Sam Burns, I don't even want to call him a dark horse, like I'd love, I'd love for him to win. If I had to pick one guy, one guy, I would pick JT. I would just because him and bones, they won the last major and he's been absolute nails since bones took over for him. And I think he's at the level or the point of his career where he's focusing almost a 100% on majors only. So he would be like my number one guy if I could just choose one, but I like him and burns and then like a super dark horse, I don't know, man. Super dark horse, maybe Sam Stevens or somebody like that. Like he's maybe to make the cut. Wow. That might be a good idea. A good bed. I'm not saying to win and no offense to Sam. I don't know if you can win the U.S. open, but they have those vets to make the Cudi's probably plus 200 or something to make the cut. I bet you that's a good

"I mean, I'm usually I'm good at picking winners for tournaments, but I'm bad at like giraffe kings and FanDuel, but I think Rory is in good form. He's won there before. I think Rory Rory is a good forum. I also like guys that kind of have a dirty week that come back, which would be like rom, but those are two weak picks because those guys are so good in general. And then by week, I mean like they're easy. God, you're going to hate it because you've popped off a few times. You know, I think plays well. And he's painfully slow. Yes, really horschel. Yeah. I know you're going to say that. Yeah, I can't stand Billy horschel. But it's a perfect golf course for him. Perfect golf course for me. Hits it really good. He doesn't put it great, but you got to hit it real good. It's not a putting course. It's not about. It's a hitting course. I knew you were going to say that when you open it with that. I think Sam Burns. I think Sam Burns has a great week next week. I love Sam Burns around TPC sawgrass. He hits it so good. The ball doesn't bald and move off his club face. It's like he's sitting in a hacky sack. It's like he's sitting in a hacky sack in the air just falls straight down every time. It's his dame to sing. Somebody flies at 320 yards with a hacky sack. I think Sam Burns wins next week. You think Billy horschel wins next week. Guess what? That was their team at the Zürich classic last year in New Orleans. Really? Dude, I like it. I love the fact that Woodland's playing good again. Like he's getting into contention a little bit. I mean, the guy that has freaking brass balls, which you do and what you need at that track. And again, it's a weak pick because the guy's playing so well again is Victor hovland is a freaking baller. Like he's a straight up baller. You'll make the cut there. No, I've told this fucking story before. The 8th hole, the heart, the hardest hole on the course. I hit a whiff cut 5 wood, and I was three under to start my round through 7, and it landed on the downslope of the right trap in the pin was back left, and I went to a foot and then I tapped it in and I was four under through 8. And I can't remember if I birdie 9, maybe ten, but I was leading the players championship through night holes. Did you miss the cut? Yeah. Yeah, it was like the low the cut. The cat there is usually I shot even the cut was one under. I mean, it wasn't horrible, but I had a water ball double and I shot even par. Yeah, because I was one under. Missed by one. Oh, that's so sad. It's sad. It's sad because if you make the cut, it's about 40 stacks guaranteed. Yeah, I played with Jimmy walker on Sunday. This is how the players sorry, the commissioner's championship goes. So at the commissioner's championship, this was like 7 years ago. Wasn't that long ago? And we were both in about 35th, 40th. And that's the position on the PGA Tour. If you're in 35th or 40th, on the PGA Tour, and you have a good day on Sunday, you can make a shitload of money. And if you had a bad day on Sunday, you break even for the week. It's really hit or miss..

"You feel like you don't really think about that whole until you get there and then you're like, okay, you like this is a big hole. Especially for a 130 140 yard shot. How much attention that whole gets. But it deserves it. Every year, it seems like it comes down to the last couple of holes here. And I think that's the finishing hole is here, fantastic. I mean, you get 16 the par 5. It's gettable if you hit a good tee shot, and then 17 just takes a little bit off there, and you can make a number quickly. So if you get a little into off the left wind, that shot is cool. It's dicey. Completely different. Non 17th hole division what holes out here keep you up at night or what shots in particular. The 12th hole is it's so much different now than it used to be. It used to be just a simple hybrid wedge hole that no water, nothing. But now I think it's a great hole. A lot of times on the weekend, you know, if you get it down, you can hit through a kind of draw through wood in there or you're almost trying to hold cut a driver off the water. And so if you bail out, it's not great. It's a tough shot from over there. And so I think it's a really good hole. You feel like you can make three or 5 before you blink. So I think it's a great hole, and it's one of my favorites. Are you much of a gearhead? How much into the equipment and tinkering are you? Not really. I try to find something that works and just hold on to it. Is it that easy to get doubt into stuff with trackman and things like what you guys have? Yeah, I think a lot of times for me, it's just what's comfortable. There's certain clubs that like through wood, for instance, it's really hard to find a three wood that it's last. And so once you do, it's kind of one of those you just hold on to, like I've been playing the same three wood for three years now. Yeah, I don't dive deep into it because a lot of it's just over my head and I just want to I don't want to know. I don't want to know what this means. I don't know what that does. Just give me something that I can hit where I can go find it and hit it again. Do you change grinds or bounce or anything from grass types or anything? No. No. You grew up chipping on Bermuda. You probably that's the thing is if you grew up somewhere not Bermuda and you come down in here like you can get some scars pretty quickly. Yeah, it's funny you see guys that I grew up on the West Coast and then they get to Bermuda and they're like, what in the world is this? What is this grass? I've never seen this. What is the technique for chipping on beard? 'cause I'm still looking for it. I think, you know, especially this time of year at home, it's wet and tight. And it's nasty. And so I think a lot of times I try to like almost like draw my chips. Put it back a little bit and just kind of clip draw because if you try to like pick them or spin on a ton, you just you catch a lot of turf and that obviously doesn't go well in Bermuda. What are some highlights of what you've learned so far from your prokaryotic things you know now that you did not know when you teed it up for the first time on the PGA Tour? Yeah, I would say like final round and contention. You don't have to play perfect. I think for a long time I thought the guy who goes out on Sunday and shoots 65 is always going to win. Who plays flawless is going to win. It's just not the case, especially coming down the stretch. A lot of times, you make a lot of parts, you're going to be in a good spot, especially in tough golf courses. And so I think for me, I'm just trying not to force things in those moments. Just having a plan of, hey, this is going to be a hole that plays over par. And so get out there in the fairway, if you get out of position and just get it back in position and give yourself a look. Don't force it and make 6 and then feel like you got to try to make up for it. And so I think that's been a huge learning experience for me. Last question, what's the winning score going to be this week? Let's see. I would say with the wind we're going to get, I'd be shocked if it gets the double digits. You see you're supposed to just say whatever I shoot. And then you walk off and then we put that's true. I'm going to say 8 under. Is there a chance it plays easy ish though if it with a lot of rain to get soft? It could. It could. I mean, the easy holes are going to play easy, but the harder holes are going to play more difficult. And so, you know, I just don't know. I don't know if 50° and blowing 20, you know what that's going to look like very true. We'll see. I'm ready for it to get here. Well, best of luck. Thanks for spending some time with us this week. And good luck at the players this week. Thank you. Appreciate it. Be the right club today. I mean, that's better than most. How about.

"Is that something you feel like you've had to go through? Is that a learning process? Yeah, for sure. I think you always believe you can do it. You always think you're capable of it, but it's kind of almost proving it to yourself. You know, I don't feel like I have to prove it to fans. I don't feel like I have to prove it to other people. I want to prove it to myself that the things I'm working on, the things that I'm trying to get better at or I'm doing the right things and I'm making progress in those areas. And so I think it's just a confirmation of seeing that on the golf course scene and on your intention, especially last week and difficult conditions just hitting hitting some shots. For people that aren't familiar with your background, your amateur golf record and where you grew up and how you got to the PGA Tour can you give people a little bit of insight into that? Yeah, so I grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana. David Tom's house Sutton, obviously great names in the game of golf. But I didn't really grow up solely focused on golf. I played a lot of other sports football basketball baseball kind of everything growing up and my dad and brother of both played college football. So we were always kind of a football family growing up. It's kind of got into golf through playing with my dad and my brother because they both played and had some really quality players, Philip barber, Nathan Johnson, both played at LSU, Eric card, so played with them a ton growing up and they always would just destroy me. And it was really frustrating and I hated losing to them and I think, you know, I think that was just kind of the competitive nature of wanting to beat those guys and trying to figure out ways to get better. Kind of drove me to improve and I think that's kind of how I fell in love with the game just going out there and spending all day at the golf course. Just playing holes like we would get done with school and just play as many holes we could go dark. I never really stood on the range or still on the putting green and practice at the time. It was always playing. And so I think that's how initially fell in love with the game and then over time just continued to improve and started having success at junior level amateur level and then as I got through college, which yeah, you were college player of the year. So you're being a little bit modest there. But I don't follow college golf as close because I probably should. But I remember you came into the I guess first impression or first learning of you was the walker cup snub. Is this something you're tired of being asked about? Or is that something you still carry with you? Because it didn't make sense. People were trying to make sense. People that thought it was way closer than I did, how much success you had yet, you weren't taking on that team. What's the story there and how has that impacted your pro career? I wish I knew the story on that one. I never really I tried to get answers. But never really could, they would just kind of tell me the committee chose and know what told me who was on the committee or who I could speak to about it. But yeah, I think that was obviously frustrating. But at the same time, it was like, you know, something I could use as we call it chip on your shoulder, everyone to call it. Just to get better. You know, it's kind of one of those things like, okay, obviously there's something these people think that I'm not good enough to be on this team. And so, you know, let's not just sit here and be upset about it and pout about it and let's try to improve and get better and so hopefully the next time this comes around, we'll leave them no choice, which have unfortunately it does come around here shortly in the last year. Did you feel like you were 13th man on the router cup team? I wouldn't put a number on it. I would say I had a good year. I could have had a better year. There are definitely certain events that I wish I would have played better in and maybe that'll give me a better chance to be on that team. But you know, to be honest, I think, obviously, if you look at the team that was the team, was obviously really good. Any other year may be ever yet. Yeah. So it's just one of those things where it's like, I'm friends with all those guys, and I was happy to see them play well, happy to see them win. And so it was just like, then it is what it is. I'll do my best to be on the next team. And a lot of it is out of my control. There's only so much that I can do. And I just try to go out there and play solid golf and hopefully it works out the next time. So if we're looking at the success you've had on the PGA Tour, what will it take for you to make a leap when it comes to major championships, right?.

"Winter plays, Morikawa to win plus 1600. I think that's gonna be a popular one with the boys. We've got hovland to win plus 2000. Tough finish. At bay hill, but he seems to be vibing and Patrick cantlay. I think treadstone kind of comes into TPC and starts executing people. That's plus 2000. And then we're going with a couple of home game picks, the models are buzzing. Camp Smith top ten plus three 30 and Billy Ho top ten plus four 50. Just ball strikers up and down those 5 picks, 20 nuggies each. I will not be watching nor do I care. But there you have it. See ya. Thank you, mister beluga, as mentioned at the top of the show we have an interview from the Callaway shoot with Sam Burns talking about this week's players. So I heard the phrase that there were a lot of unhappy millionaires last week. Do you know what I'm talking about when I asked that? I think so. I think so. What did you think of bay hill last week? You know, I think bay hill is a fantastic golf course, I think it's a great test. I just think in the last few years at times it's gotten a little, you know, it's hard because golf fans don't want to hear even the slightest critique, of course, set up. Even if it's legitimate. Here's my thing. I'm totally for making it hard. I think it should be hard. I think it should be difficult. But at the same time, I think it should be fair. But what does that mean? You know, where is that line? And how do we get to that point of, okay, this is not fair. This is kind of ridiculous. And I think that line was flirted with. I'm not necessarily saying that it was ridiculous. It was obviously really hard. I mean, anytime the score and average is 75, 76 on the weekend, it's difficult. But at the same time, I think the person who played the best one. It's probably still more fun to watch than a straight birdie fest, but I think there is something there's so much to that word fair, right? That's why I'm asking as many guys as I can. I'm trying to get this drill this message home as much as I can as to what the word fair means. So in your mind, what does that mean? I'll give you a great example. Number 6 last week, par 5 famous dwarf number 6. Straight down when pretty much every day on the tee shot. And it's almost impossible that it was almost impossible to hit that fairway. And through the fairway, you have 5 or 6 inch rough. And let's say two out of the four days I could only hit a gap wedge from that rough. Just to advance it 80 yards. So let's say they make that rough two and a half inches and you're standing there a 180 yards to the front edge of the green. It's a great hole then because you're trying to hit on the green at that point and you're going to see more balls in the water. You're going to see more balls catch flowers going the back bunker, the backer off. And it makes it a much better hole. But when all the guys are basically doing the same thing from that spot, it's just kind of like, well, I don't understand. What's the point? Exactly. At one point, the question became, can you hit a 330 yard drive in the air with enough backspin to hold a firm fairway to prevent it from going in the rough? You're almost hoping to heal cut it enough to where it would stay in the fairway, and then you could have a chance. So how does that differ from the test that we're going to see this upcoming week at the players? Yeah, I don't know. I don't know how the golf course is going to play this week. Obviously we're going to get some wind. But I don't see, I don't think you'll see the conditions get as firm just because of the forecast with rain and whatnot, but this is a place that you can't really fake it around here. You have to play solid golf, you have to hit really quality shots into the greens and what is fake it mean. I hear that a lot. Well, you know, it's one of those things where like last week, for instance, if you're not hitting really solid iron shots and number 13 last week, you're hitting a four and off the T and you have a wedge into that hole. If you missed the fairway, it's almost an auto layup, which you missed a bit with a foreign. So you should be penalized. But if you let's just say you catch it just a hair spinner, or you miss it just a little bit coming that you're probably going to hit in the water. And if you pull it left and Bill out in the left office, it's not great either. So that's kind of what I'm talking about when I say fake it. Like you have to hit two quality shots, even though it's a 360 yard hole. I would say like the phrase fake it also translates to just like there's consequence right for every shot, right? Good difference between a good shot and an average shot like is going to have solid chance that has an impact on your score. Do you dig in at all to stats and how that in a scenario like that might play an effect on your overall score? Yeah, a little bit like, for instance, like last week on the weekend. You know, there's a few holes out there that I knew, you know, this whole part for its play in four and a half. So if I'm standing in the middle of the fairway with a 8 R in my hand, I'm not necessarily thinking, oh, I need to make a birdie here. I need to hit it to ten feet. I'm thinking, let's hit it the 30 feet, give ourselves a look, two put it and move on. We just gained half a shot on the field. So what is the player's championship mean to you? I hate asking that question. It feels super cheesy, but it's gone through a lot of identity, ups and downs, I think, over the years. I've grown more appreciative of it, you know, over the years, but just straight up for you. What is the player's championship mean? Yeah, I think it's our championship. As you could say, but I think it's one of those events that you get done with your career and you look back and a win at that tournament means a lot. It feels like a major. Just atmosphere and how it plays on the weekend and when it gets firm and fast and it's one of those events that every guy looks forward to, everybody wants to win the player championship. And so I think it's funny that you say it's changed over the years, but yeah, I think it's becoming more and more.

"I think he's good in the wind. I think I agree. The data golf guys just absolutely. Their models love this guy weekend and week out and he's been a successful successful play when I've put it in play. Another one that jumped off the page. This is a really weird one, but it was just screaming at me. Top 20 finish for Martin Laird, 30 nuggets at plus 700. He's played really good here. Plus 700 for 30 nuggets. It's a weird one. It could be a weird week. You know, that's fantastic odds for a top 20. Another one, a guy, just a tremendous iron player, you know, he throws darts at flags, it's on repeat, one of the top ten in strokes gained approach on the PGA Tour has had an incredible start to the season for a top 40 finish at plus one 60. Who is it? I bet you don't know. Tyrol had Tom hoagy. 50 nuggets on him for a top 40 finish. I'm running one that tournament. Now, for this last one, I have two plays on this last guy, and we're gonna go back, it's been almost a decade. Now, since this man went back to his hotel room, bathed his young son. Went to bed, and tried to prepare himself for this glorious madness as Josh Elliott, so eloquently. That was ten years ago. I think it was 2013, wasn't it? Maybe it was 9 years ago. Maybe that was 15, I don't know. We might have to recreate that for the true ten year anniversary. Chris Kirk for a top 40 finish plus one 2050 nuggets, but also Chris Kirk to win the players championship plus 10,000 20 nuggets on that one. That will pay out 2000 nugs. Does it worry you at all that he can't for whatever you're gonna say? Of course. Whatever he was absolutely, I'm terrified of this, but he hits slinging draws. He hits a lot of sling and draws. You know, I'll say a little plug for our own content. We've got a film room coming out this week. Ben and Cody playing TPC sawgrass with expert commentary from former players championship many time players championship participant Matt every. Adamant adamant this is a drawer's golf course. He's like, I hit a fade, I can't play this place. There's all these different holes you just fade doesn't I'm sure there's people who hit draw that say the same thing in reverse, but it could be a big draw. I was trying to think. Like, who's a big drawer? Chris Kirk could be the guy? Who else? Billy horschel. I don't know. I was going to say that too. A guy that I wish I wish I would have seen this before we got on. Probably would have taken the place of my east haze and play. Brian Stewart, tyrrell Hatton, T two last week, T four over in Dubai, T 6 at Abu Dhabi, playing some good golf right now. And I feel like he's kind of a mudder. I feel like the Florida men might get in his head. Florida men out there. That's true. But we'll see. Should we throw it to the beluga? We'll throw it to the beluga. Hold on, have we forgot about perhaps the best mudder? Jordan Spieth. I'm shocked he's not showing up anywhere. Record is terrible. I looked into it, Randy, couldn't trust it. The on chain data was not supporting it. I think if the weather gets nasty, I'm looking for Jordan to make a move this weekend. I don't know if they're being mastered. This is the links course. I don't know if there'd be a group in the world that would be more happy to see that and hear that. So we don't want to jigsaw. Question for the group too, before we send it to the beluga. Favorite hole out there. 16, 16. I mean, at 16, I almost think we should do like non 16, 17, 18 division. More interesting. I like 13 a lot. I think that's a fun part three. 13 is really cool. That's cool. I kind of like them all, it's hard to choose. They're all Randy's children. Four is a popular answer, of course. I think 6 is really grown on me. 6 is really, really cool. It's cool. Those trees. Not 12. I'm in the four camp. I love 11, 11. That's great. Awesome. I'm going to go with four though. 14 has grown on me. Really cool, hard hole. It's so hard, but it's so cool to watch those guys play it. Golf course. I'm going to go with 11. That hole is just as perfect of a risk reward as you can get. You can bail as far left as you want with that approach and you're not going to like what you end up. It's such a bad approach. It's horrible from over there. Send it. But then if you get that micro bunker on the left or in the back bunker, you're screwed too. Good luck. With that, let's send it over to the beluga and everyone enjoy players championship week. Chairs. Greetings. The beluga here. I have to take off for.

"And that's the whole thing with TPC sawgrass and it was rewarding for hitting fairways in a better way than just like ankle deep rough a foot off the first one. Stupid question or maybe stupid question is like when you look at the strokes gained off the T stats for sawgrass for previous years, it's more weighted towards hitting fairways than it is to distance based on, I would say more weighted to accuracy than hitting fairways, which are two different things, right? In that you know, I would say at TPC as well, small misses are very different than the big misses, right? I mean, if you were running a couple feet into rough, your angles usually aren't that bad, whereas if you're off in the pine straw, you're in some trouble. It's really, really difficult. And then you've got to take your medicine and that's what I was going to say is it gets so exacerbated and compounded because the greens are so hard too, right? So if you can't come in from the right place, then you're probably hitting it in the horrible spot around the greens and then you probably can't get up and down and that's where it's just like man you just turn fours into 5s and 5s and 6s so fast. Which to your point CC I'd say like for bay hill where the thick super thick rough is a foot off the fairway and like the trample down stuff is further away than I think that deemphasizes driving accuracy. You can hit a very accurate drive that ends up in rough and that's where it's like the people don't like the fair word, but like we were talking about Rory bombing won three 30 over the water on number 6. You can't stop it in time before it runs into the rough and it's like you've just gotten rid of like there is no accurate shot in that regard and that's just where the test gets lost, which again I just think it's a polar opposite design. I think TPC is genius. It's not the most fun in the world to play, but like if we're talking about a golf course design to test the execution ability of the top players in the world, this is it. It's not a ton of strategy. It's a fair amount, I would say. Do you guys disagree with that? I mean, I don't think it's, you know, there's some risk reward, but for the most part, it is like an execution test. Yeah, I feel like it's a lot of it's a lot of like driving with the hands on the steering wheel at 9 and three. Yeah. Right? You're not trying to do anything crazy. Let's just keep this thing on the road, man. And occasionally, you know, you got a straightaway, you can open it up a little bit, but that's not gonna be the whole drive. You gotta really keep your hands on the steering wheel rather than just let it rip. Totally agree. TV schedule for this week, golf channel and Thursday, Friday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday on NBC from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Is it 12 to 6 p.m.? I may have it wrong here. I don't remember what it actually is. Well, what about the cock? I don't know about the cock. I don't think it's gonna, I don't think you're gonna be flipping on the cock for some exclusive coverage this week. As we said, the cock is never gonna be for what you want. What's the fresh prince reboot? That was 2018. That was in May. Good job, Randy. That was deep in the web Simpson research prior to this. And that one was like, he just, did he drive it? Well, as well or did he just put that well that week that did everything will. I think he's blew everybody's doors off. I've tried to forget that because it was a complete web of Swiss. That was a that was a good tournament. That was that was a tour de force. That was during the web a songs, I think. And he was really, he was kind of the butt of everybody's jokes on the Ryder Cup teams and stuff like that. And then I think that was kind of the peak. Like, you know what? Actually, Webb might be sweet. Which I think we've a period, I think we've enjoyed it to this day. I can't wait until web starts his own design firm. The plan that hits, he's got to hit all 5 of his of his main things to hit. He's like four for 5 now. You guys want to get into some of the Hogarth twists? Well, no, you know, you guys were pointing out some stats about the Hogarth. They're European lanto Griffin, which was we could move off of this. I was going to send you the lawn to Montgomery. We have a bingo. I was trying to touch them all, baby. Before we get into pics here, this first sentence of this is going to be very obvious considering what we just talked about for the past 35 minutes. "22 to one first round leader play. Happy for the last week on him. But he's definitely he's going to come out fire and this would be a great course for him. He said, before the season, he's going to stop hitting as many drivers. Hit more three Woods. This could be, we'll see if that's actually the case. Why? I feel like this is a golf course yet that makes those decisions pretty obvious for the longest hitters, right? I mean, there's not like there's not one, I can't think of like one shot that's like, okay, take on this risk with dry, like vomit over everything with driver here. And that's how the hole gets easier. I mean, 1816, maybe a little bit? Yeah, but I think it's still like hit a right to left driver here if you want to get around the corner more than it is. If you want to carry this bunker and take a line that no one else is taken, go ahead. 18. 18 obviously take as much off the water as you want. It's just not a 15, there's not that much benefit how going to drive her down the right, draw on a driver around the corner on two, not necessarily. It just think there's so many holes like a whole like number 5 where it's almost like 5 or 7. But even 5 is like, but yeah, but it almost seems like the more you draw it off that bunker, unless I'm yeah, unless I remember it. Yeah, you go through and you hit that downslope and kick into that left rough and then you're totally hosed. It's technical skiing. It is moguls, double black diamond. It is not, it's telemark skiing. Yes. Many people were saying that. Very many people are saying it. There's consequence to pretty much every shot. I hope the roughs not up too thick and then we get a little bit of firmness on it after what we just watched last week. We don't need to re litigate that. Unless you guys have any takes, you'd like to get out about bay hill, but you guys absolutely rocked it. It took a long time to get through everything. That's great. It's complicated issue. Complicated conversation. We didn't even talk about how it all ties back to distance, right? And the fact that they keep killing the greens there, maybe at one point they're just going to hope that they kill them off for good and they don't have to go back. That would be interesting. It's a golf aside. I've been deep in the chipping stats here looking at our friends love that our friends at data golf, of course, shown where people tend to shine on this golf course. Rory chip and his face off. It's Roy striking is like an exceptional chipper. It's really good. It depends on what day of the week it is. Chipping. This season are chipping at TPC. Just like the last couple of last couple of tournaments. Gaining almost a half a shot at bay hill, positive a genesis, three quarters of a shot and Dubai. Almost a full shot. What's considered a chip? Well, that's where I struggle with that a little bit in that in a small sample size. I think, and I'm not an expert on this, but I think you can end up with like, if you're hitting it in all the right areas, missing in the right spots, you're up and downs are not that difficult. And you're getting some credit. If you're putting from the fringe a lot and I don't know if that stuff evens out over a bigger sample size, I don't you could have one bad chip really weigh you down too, or if you chilly dip one of them or a bad line, the bunker, a plug lie or something like that can really, I don't know. That's fair. I don't think I would not consider that set to be super predictive and same with putting though. What is the limit for considering a chip versus I think it's I want to say 40 yards in is like around the green or something like that. But there's all kinds of adjustments that get made based on punch outs and all this stuff that is a layer of strokes game that I don't pretend to understand. I was emailing Mark Brody about it this past week, trying to understand it. I'm like, yeah, I'm good. I retire. If you look at the radar plot for TPC sawgrass on data golf, it shows like it is one of the more exacerbated driving accuracy emphasis golf courses here. And I want to point this out and I think a lot of people that, you know, have takes on bay hill or this is how it should be driving accuracy needs to be rewarded. This is what this is where this happens, more so than a golf course with narrow fairways and thick rough. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but sawgrass is all kinds of weird lies, pine straws, moguls, little mounds off the fairway, the very first hole, like the T box points you can easily cover the right bunker. It's very easy. Like you want to hit it just in that rough over that bunker, I could promise you just don't want to be there. It is a great punishment for your shortest line to the hole is straight over that bunker into those right moguls. There's no good lies over there. It makes your second shot that much harder. Yes. And that's the whole thing with TPC sawgrass and it was rewarding for hitting fairways in a better way than just like ankle deep rough a foot off the first one. Stupid.

"Jacks with wind. That is four layers. Four layers. I think he gets the high of 53 in Dallas with winds is pretty fucking cold as well. He'll get the feeling. He has one quarter zip is what he said. I don't think that's going to be good anymore. He might be doing, who is it at the masters every year? Larry my eyes, or what are those guys who always has the pro shop hat on? That could be hairy. The player's got a $250 gift card to the pro shop. They're cool. So you get some new socks or something. He might be able to go shopping in there. TC, are we getting any north wins this week? TV. The wind forecast is not really been updated too much. It looks like it's out of the east either the southeast tomorrow. We got some yeast winds this past week and but I think otherwise it's just going to be regular kind of seasonal out of the west winds, but it sounds like we're just going to have to make do with the cold. Okay. Okay. So we want to do the 5th major stuff. Let's just say. Well, the only reason I bring it up is because I'm thinking about this podcast and what we're going to say and blah, blah, blah, and on one hand, you know, you ask kind of like impressions upfront and my thought or headline on it is like, man, if you were going to make a modern golf tournament, modern big golf tournament, I don't know what you'd change from the players. It feels like, man, hell yeah. That's what a modern golf championship should look like. And I get that it's like 40 years old now, but it's kind of been ever evolving, but it seems like they've got it to a really, really good place. And I think one thing we've always said about it, I know Sean and I have said this for a long time. It's like, you know, just shut up about it. Just like just let it be its thing, just let it be its thing, and then I'm kind of having a bit of a come to Jesus moment a little bit with like, right, but accepted this in our head. Yeah, they kind of like how much of what I'm saying and how much I'm raving about it is because they were doing all this dumb shit. And I'm just having a hard time separating those two things in my head right now. I don't disagree. I think it'd be dumb if they didn't market the tournament, right? And I think everyone can have an opinion on how they market it. It's just the defaulting to commercials for it when you haven't sold a spot is like, I feel like you can kind of punt 30 seconds to a minute of coverage time back. And I know that's not how the contracts work, whatever. But that's where you're going to frustrate some hardcore fans. It takes it a little bit self serious, I think. I think there's a certain it's a certain window into the tour psyche, right? You got the vestiges of Tim fincham with the faux Tuscan, the most understated Clubhouse in the game. There's a little bit of an inferiority or just a chip on his shoulder. Like you go over there, it was funny. My parents were both wearing Augusta national. Like they were wearing master's logos today. And I was like, that's an affront to can't do that. Everything over and over at sawgrass this week because they are very, very, they have a trip on their shoulder because they want to be. They want this to be on par with the masters. Which like, it's probably worth noting. And correct me if I'm wrong on this, this is the biggest money golf tournament that's ever been played this week. There's never been a $20 million instrument. There's the big money classic. I was going to say I was going to make the exact same job for the actual money play. Maybe this is the big money money class. How sick would it be if the tour defaulted out there versus couldn't pay out guys? Google the big money classic, by the way, if you have no idea what we're talking about. That'd be a tough timing for them. I think if the paychecks didn't cash this week, that would be I think that would be pretty tough. I mean, the thinking back to where we were two years ago now, the tour is having a bit of a moment, right? Like 100% years ago, we were, we had the chainsmokers concert, monaghan was up on CNBC, announced all the red lights. Flashing down a thousand points. PG L is knocking on the doorstep. And now they've kind of consolidated power, circled the wagons. They've got the horses in the back. Truly, they've got every player, you know, pledging. We've got everybody fealty. Fealty. Everyone's dancing. Dancing, dancing on Phil's grave. You had a great event out at Riviera. I mean, yeah, that's kind of weird texting about it this morning. If they have like an epic all time Sunday, which with conditions with an awesome field and with these holes that are super recognizable, which is a whole other aspect of the tournament that we can get into, how much that plays into the history and the relatability and the watch ability of this thing. It could be an all time legitimately all time high watermark for the PJ tour. Not for golf necessarily, but because Tiger, you know, I think what Tiger did obviously is insane in 2000, but that's so majors based, right? And this is like when.

"You may be swinging me on that. That could actually be really fun. You may be swinging me on this. I want my case to be very clear on this. For our firm commitment, I will watch every shot on site. Every shot live this week. I won't miss a shot at all. It's a legitimately great golf course to watch golf on. My favorite place is to go sit on four. Right next to four green and you can see them hit all manner of shots in there. And there's just a million different ways to play that whole. You're talking about some tough viewing from a hole and stuff like that. But it is as good of a golf course as you're gonna find on the PGA Tour at giving you viewing angles. Like, mirfield village is really, really good at it too. But there's so many great places to watch from. There's so many places you can just go and that's the thing is being in this business as long as we have now. You have appreciation for when the actual times are that all the players are there. No pun intended by it being called the players, but not every golf tournament. None of the golf tournaments on the PGA Tour do you get a feel that looks like this. You have the majors and whatnot, but it's amazing to go. The only issue I've run into with this tournament is like, how do I pick a group to follow right now? Because I'm going to miss something right now. And that's another thing they do a great job of is this television broadcast is treated like a major sporting event. And you can watch it on TV and you're not missing out on things. They just have more time to breathe. There's not as many commercial breaks. The proud partners bring you so much extra coverage. It's going to be on the cock as well. I assume. It's a great, great, great golf tournament. I think in the past we've gotten caught up with, you know, there's a lot to make fun of with it. We know what the way it's marketed and we'll get there. We'll get to that, but on its own, it is truly one of the great golf tournaments anywhere in the world. Anywhere on any schedule. Randy, what's your relationship with the players? Oh gosh. It's so complicated. It's so deep. We've had so many twists and turns through the years. Randy before we came on this said, quote, oh, Justin Thomas won last year. That's interesting. Be careful. You're going to get suspended again. I was out there last year. No, I'll just echo what you guys say. I, you know, I would mosey out there. There were like the four years I was in Jacksonville. There was at least one year where I didn't go at all, but I like to go out early in the week and stay away from the big crowd. So picking out a group that's interesting to kind of walk the course with. It's really nice. And I will say in all sincerity, I completely agree that it's just a great place to watch a golf tournament, right? There are a lot of great sidelines, all different manners of shots. It's easy, relatively easy to navigate the property. So those are all things I really appreciate. And it's a big golf tournament. So that's fun. I haven't watched much PJ golf lately candidly. So I'm looking forward to really diving in and following along this week. Really? It's a big tournament without a big golfer. Well, what's kind of interesting on what you said Iran is I was going to say the same thing. I know we say this kind of every year as we're talking about the players, but great place to just pick, you know, almost like go down the tee time sheet and close your eyes and just put your finger on somebody that's somewhat interesting to watch and go outside those featured groups and just watch somebody play teen holes. It's a blast because almost the opposite side I was listening to the podcast that you guys did last night with Harry and Justin huber and talking about bay hill and what a survival test it is and how just boring that can be to watch golf sawgrass is the complete opposite of where I've watched so many people play so many rounds out there and whether they're Friends, whether they're stars, whether they're journeymen, whether they're whatever. If you can get invested in somebody's round out there, it's so fucking fun because they can make double on one, they can make eagle on two, they can make bogey on three, they can dump in the water on four, they can make bogey on 5. It just is, there's so many ups and downs. That's awesome. There's so many good chances for birdies, eagles, you have 16, 17, 18, that's always a blast. And I think that who was the one guy you guys went on watch the one year and you haven't showed up about it, I've obviously you may be curtailed at some, but you're like, oh my God, we watched every shot from so and so and it was amazing. I'm like, I've heard you describe it, and it doesn't sound amazing. But somehow you guys were just at all. Who has it been Rory savage TV or something like that? It was someone way off the bat. Brian gay? I think Brian gay was paired with the schlong. That's really just watching Brett. Well, Tron's called him the best golfer of all time. Not the best player of all time, but the best golfer. Nobody's ever maximized his level as quite as high. I went out and did it with strep a couple years ago. Another Hall of Fame talent. Yeah, you could see all the big names out here, Rory sabbatini, Adam schlong. Robert streb, you know, it's incredible. Speaking of Adam long real quick, I think he should be locked out of these golf tournaments. I agree. Fill his good friend rob Manfred settles this baseball laboratory. So that's John rom, Johnny Vegas, and Cameron young out of here. John rom tied to MLB? No, Johnny Vegas and you said you said something wrong? Johnny Vegas. Yeah. It was so weirdly said John rob and John. Either way, the point stands. And if John Ron wants to sit out as well, it's solidarity with the players. I think that's totally fine by us. There is no big golfer as I believe we teased a week before. I think this wrist injury is a little bit more serious than they are leading on. He is. The fake news media was wrong, though. Way wrong, the Oxy, many inaccurate media reports out there. It is our fault. We should have noted that any updates on his schedule will come from his him and his camp only. Or his teens. His team or his teens will keep you posted. I know this one sucks for you. I was debating whether to bring this up. Ricky not in the field this week. Global golf post kind of firing some shots at him today. Their headline on the inbox was like cold case. Where's Rickie Fowler? It's safe to be on that now. Randy was on this block. That was 2016. I needed this backup like 5 years ago. Ron green junior, tough to imagine the best putter in the world falling this far. You'd think you'd think that putter would keep him in it. I will say, man, think about coming off of that was 2015 that Ricky won. Think about coming off that week and just saying like, hey, you know, whatever 7 years from now, there's gonna be tournament with no Ricky, no Tiger, no Phil. How do you think you're gonna feel about it? I mean, it's weird that my excitement for this week is that a complete all time high, despite those three people not being on property. It's a little bit strange that there's not a ten year exemption for players. 5 seems a little short, honestly, does. You know, for as much protection as the tour actually provides for a lot of its players that it feels like players champ, I almost think it could kind of be a lifetime kind of thing. I think they're trying to match the other majors, right? I mean, I think that the one that they want to match the most, though, has a lifetime exemption. That's true. So does the open too. But they're also trying to keep the best. It's a balance. They're also trying to keep the best field in golf. They don't want a bunch of hangers on. They don't want Craig perks out there. If you're a 125th, the top one 25 from the previous year gets in. Yeah, I think it's about 15 in the world. World ranking exemption and then, yeah, a couple finishes last year, and then exemptions for winners, things like that. I think, well, I guess FedExCup stuff would be tied in with top one 25 from last year, but yeah, they do a pretty good job, man, of keeping it to, what's so cool about this I think is and you would always see this we talk about this a lot on the podcast every year..

"Enters the top ten in the official world golf rankings this year. Wow. That was the answer. He's currently 35th in the world. Okay. He's won twice, I believe in the calendar year of 2021 because he won the at Riviera, with Tiger Woods, and then he won 5 event. And I just think he's gonna do it. I think he's gonna win a couple more times this year. His play is gonna be that good that he will crack the top ten in the official world golf rankings at some point this year. Look at our guy Sam Burns in the top ten. I'm looking at him. We love San Bernard. I just didn't expect him to see him all the way up there. What are we thinking about Scottish? Sorry. What do we think about Scotty scheffler this year? Had a great writer cup. So he's got to play in the world. Took down the number one play in the world. He's got that it factor also out there. Man, it's hard to see it to not see sky chef for being in contention for a major this year also. That guy fucking stood on the putting green for 45 hours at the Ryder Cup to work on his game made us wait. I mean, Trent almost passed out waiting for this guy to stop practicing. I was so ready to leave. I wanted to leave so bad. I was just like, this guy is not in the mood to talk to three fucking podcasts, media idiots. He is at the Ryder Cup. He was on that button green. Hour and a half, two hours honestly. We stood there forever. I'm glad we stayed because it was good to see him. But yeah, he's the guy who clearly wants him. He is. He's number 13 in the world right now. Yeah. He'll get top ten no problem this year. I want the top ten to be filled with R guys. When we start golfing with guys, like Rory mcelroy, should all these guys it's gonna be pretty easy..

We're coming down from the mountain of the we are slow. As molasses can sanders dude. Halfway through we got cut this this is just not like he's just not into it. But then i just realized the way we're just slouched on the couch like that's a that's just that dude and we were in like we're in northeast mentality we needed to be in southern mentality. We got there. We got there big time. Big time your series of just. What's your favorite questions. I think really actually. Yeah i just i. I liked him. Something about that. Crewman and then i actually looked like had a little back and forth During the northern trust because he tagged me in that peter view on instagram. So i had like respond to him and he got back to us so like i had had some connection with them already so something about his. I really like that group man. His group of friends chef of the world. Sam burns like those are our guys. Even though they're probably not supposed to be our guys like we're not fuck hidden nice people like slow people along the way he fucking talks and what laid back basically. Yeah he also. There's a little something there with those too. Even just like there like there are there are type of guys. I they are all. They've read barstool sports. They send like funny blogs through. Watch me remember. She shot by shot of trent breaking hundreds big huge huge break. One hundred eight. But she's guys sheffer sees like dave go after someone and he extends it to fuck and sam berns. They like get a quick laugh. They watched trent in the bunker incident. They're like look at. This guy is like horrible like that. That's just our guys comfortable. I'm looking at sam. "And jay sigel. Who did it. Nineteen eighty three is the only players ever to do so. Cbs on course reporter. You're also on an incredible two thousand seven walker cup team with ricky fowler dustin johnson webb simpson. And billy hor show and you guys at royal county down took down roy mcelroy and company and then introduced lurch to both michael jordan and bud cauley in the very same day. Welcome to the show called. I thank you guys. Have yourself a day lurch. What a weekend we had insane kept going you know just patriots game and then red sox game last night with the yanks waste out absolute lack but yeah it's been it's been a hell of a week so anyway. Thanks for the the invites and appreciate the chirp amino Me knowing nothing about the game at all. And i mean i always thought i had a pretty good until this last weekend for you. You get the you topped it off with the patriots and the red sox goes to come home and work. Did you guys know each other at all before the trip. That was the first meeting. And i listened to the podcast the other day and i would say i would say some is true. Some is not quite all the way through. But either way. I had a blast with lurch rigs have fun with you here in scottsdale frankie. I didn't know you get so sensitive about all this. We'll talk about that later. I'm sure but i in all honesty like i'm a big fan of you. Guys are great for the game of golf. I just like to joke around. And say i don't know shit about the game of golf which might be might not be. I know that's not what y'all's podcast about. But y'all have done awesome stuff for the game of golf. so congratulations. thank you appreciate it. We'll accept that compliment. What was inaccurate. I did not say he would not remember you. Jane sued i. Actually here's what i'm going to say. And i didn't want to get into it with with lurch because he sometimes like we'll come back with me and my family should die when i say one thing about him but i've never said no but like you always take ten times meaner. My thing is my thing is i got. We got enough problems on the show. And i was gonna say when he was talking about the story and he was he was retelling was that he was actually painting you. I think in a worst light by saying that part that you just said is probably inaccurate. Because it's like he's not gonna remember you like that part to me was like. Oh we have to have this guy on to make sure that that's true cool..

"Jim Fruity, he's dark 11 30 double. Us and happy Mother's Day to one and all you ladies in the audience if you're listening, and you are a mother have a very, very special day. This is the swing. Dr Jerry Bock here. Two of our three PGA Professionals. Associate ID with Morningstar Golfers Club, located in South Central Walker Stark County, right after Rock Freeway off the 1 64 exit. Two of the three are here. The co owner of that fine facility is Jim Fruity Junior, the swing doctor himself joining us telephonically from his home in suburban Philadelphia first how you doing? Going fine. 80 and Sonny. Thank you. Beautiful. Yeah, No, I know you get a good run a weather lately, and that's that's a good thing. The weather here this week was kind of cool and damp, but actually, we needed some rain. Jim Fruity. The third is the managing partner at Morningstar PGA Professional. He is out on some family business. They had golf professional. And Maurice Starr is Mr Michael Crowley, the reigning state senior Open champion here in the state of Wisconsin. And you have moved one chair over it. I get a better land say that in this in this This range. So Mike's and Michael's in studio with me and I want to talk a little bit, guys as we go on about just, you know, some do certain players. This based on who they are, don't deserve special exemptions to make majors. I tried to bring up this topic three weeks in a row, and I always screwed it up on basis of time. But Billy horse lots of interesting or at least in interesting comment about arm lock putting, and that which seems to have caught on among some touring professionals, and I want to talk a little bit about PGA Tour golf in gambling, which is going to be an inevitable marriage, and I want to get your thoughts and whether it's going to be perhaps an unfortunate marriage with regard to How sometimes that can turn out the relationship between professional sports and gambling will get all of that little bit later on fruit. The winner of last week's Valspar Championship outside of Tampa is a guy by the name of Sam Burns his first PGA Tour When he's 24 years old. He played his college golf at Ellis. You and I got to admit, I mean, before I read it the litany of his accomplishments. You know, I recognized them. I mean, if you want to come up to me just randomly of three weeks ago or two weeks ago and said, Hey, who's Sam Burns? I want to said Yeah, I think he's a reliever for the Dodgers, or I do it. Some connection that sports were just good. Couldn't place him. S so he had a very short two year career and Alice you before he turned pro, Um Sam Burns 14 times in 15 tournaments, his his sophomore year at it. Certainly great, Great show. First team All American. You won the Jack Nicklaus NC double a Player of the Year award in 2017. He's been on the big tour since 2019. It's an impressive resume. And until you know last week when he won, I had not paid in the attention. Attention, rather to Sam Burns is a is a touring professional. And I guess my overall point is what I want you to calm Madonnas. You look at many of these young players on tour, and they all seem to have impressive resumes. Maybe not quite this impressive, but certainly close. Does this trend fruit ever stop? I don't see it stopping. I mean, I'm like you, Sam Burns a week ago two. May Sam Burns was I don't know who this is. I've heard the name and But I have no idea of who he is or what he's done or anything but As far as the young players on tour. I don't see this stopping, uh We talked almost every week about the depth of the talent on tour, and this is just another example of it. You know, it's Sam, who will He took the whole field to the wood shed, like like he was Tiger Woods last weekend, and I guarantee you there's there's a dozen or so more Sam burns out there. Plan will and just waiting for their weak Theo happen. I mean, I do remember one thing about this guy he when he first played with Tiger when he was first paired with Tiger Woods in 2019. You got on the first team. He come into the Tigris said, Man, I can't believe how many people came out here to watch me playing 68 to Tiger 72 shots. Remember that part that zoo right? It is a matter of fact, I think I could be wrong about this. I think that burns whatever can't rember the turnaround but finished top 10 like tied six or something like that. I mean, finished up pretty high. On that in that particular event, Michael over your career. You've you've taught some and coached collegiate golf, right? I believe I have. Yes. And you've seen some good players Whose market right my wrongs and Marquette? Yeah, have some good players. Didn't Gary Van Sickles kid comes in there and he was on our team, and he was competing head to head with Rickie Fowler for Player of the year. Absolutely. I mean, you know, Michael and check all right, Mike e excellent player and just to show you how good you have to be to get on the big tour. I know Mike's got knocked around some of the secondary tours. I don't know if he ever made it to get it. No one ever made it to the big show had some partial exemption onto the corn Ferry missed some cuts out there, and it's just it is. It is. It really plays a high school. He's amazing player. Yeah, Now he's He's a fantastic player. And I mean literally was had to head for player of the year with Ricky and honestly got left off the walker Cup team. Um, his after a senior year, which I think he was deserved to make the team. Um, you know who else got left off the Walker Cup team? Sam Burns? No, he did it and he said you admitted after that the wind in Tampa that used you is one of those motivating factors. He couldn't figure out why he was left off. He was kind of miffed that that that whole thing? Yeah, you know, And so that's why you see these guys who you know when they have an impressive resume coming on a college. It's because they're they're beating the best players that are gonna be competing against him on the next level. And if you have the mentality to take your take your mindset to the to the next level, you're going to succeed very well because you've been playing in front of crowds, urine playing on TV, You're playing against the best of the best. You know that you have to go low and you watch some of these college events and some of the mini tour events and it's not because they're setting the golf course up and he really easier anything like that. But these guys take it low. And they make a lot of birdies. So you have to learn to take it low to stay low and not get nervous being. You know, we're Jerry. If you're making the turn at at even par or coming down 17, you know, one over you're like you've done your head is so into what you're shooting that you lose track of what's going on where these guys were like. Hey, I'm gonna make another birdie here. I'm gonna put the pedal down and they're not thinking about where they are. They think about where they have to get to you know that That's really interesting fruit. You don't let me give you a football analogy. If you draft some Need who played in the SEC. Your high like a first or second round draft pick and they get to the NFL. They're not going to be intimidated because those are the same guys they were playing with against in college. Right You're playing against in college is the same thing with with these good young college players that they come on tour. I think Michael hit it on the head. They've already been playing with the best. They're not intimidated by that. That's right. I mean, there is nothing scares and they come out there ready to win. I mean, they Is, Michael said. They go low. They expect to go low. They expect to keep it down there and there's and they're not afraid. The moment is never never seems to be too big for I mean, when's the last time you saw big collapse? Yeah, No, that's that's true. Get down there and they put the heat on Keegan Bradley on 13..
