I know that we had a little bit there. I gotta look back. I think they win in overtime in in in their first game Crazy game last night. I watched most of it unbelievable Which i've always said stevie as and borrow that from all the pundits all the former players That you know to win through the playoffs right. It's gotta start with goaltending right. You need the hot gully you need. They're really good goaltender. And i guess flurry in vegas cirque du soleil the whole game. They and they see no for. I think it was zero zero and they lose one. Nothing in overtime. The one that i keep hearing from the is the one that i you and i were mocking a little bit. And that is the battle of the sunshine. State first time tampa in florida i've ever met and you and i are gonna. It's such a nontraditional sort of a hockey match up and who cares and well some people are. I've been contacted by like three different friends. Who said that was one of the best games they've seen in years. I'm like ok game one and they're already talking in those terms. Tampa wins the opener. Five to four in large part because of a moronic. Play by sam bennett. I don't know if you saw the replay on this didn't know florida's up in the game. They're up by Four three count. There's about eight nine minutes left in the game. And this guy just decides to settle scores just decides right there and then right in the middle of the playoffs that hit that had happened earlier where you had tampa forward. Blake coleman who bumped into. That looked like all it was bumped into alexander bark off of the panthers in the neutral zone at barkov was kinda shocked by her looks. He's heard initially and shortly thereafter. Sam bennett of the panthers. Basically it's blake coleman from behind and not only. Is it going to be suspended for that. He also at penalty there that resulted in the game tying goal on the ensuing powerplay. So just moronic. Behavior from sam bennett. Who was picked up from the flames this year. Yeah you know. It's so hard to win games. Stevie okay so it's so hard to win hockey game so competitive and when talks about the great parody that the nhl is okay. Everything's got a line up for us to to to have some success okay. What you don't need some guy losing his fucking mind okay. That doesn't come into play. You know you know. Don't be don't be. Don't don't be stupid okay. Don't don't like it's tough enough stevie. Oh yeah absolutely. I mean it's a case of.

"That cold black on the second period is next. Here for a recap is Chris Boden. It's the Florida Panthers leading the Blackhawks back out of one Nothing as we count down. And shortly after he got out of the box, he got his hand on the book, Claire Very behind the net around. He goes to the near corner. Outstanding defensive play there by Wyatt counter to the vert Anthony Duclair, But Duclair got it back into the right circle. Any fires his car, so Anthony Duclair was able to withstand the checking of Wyatt counter can free himself. Moved to the top of the right wing circle on let go a wrist shot That's feet, the feet Lincoln and under the blocker on Duclair, scoring his ninth of the year. I shouldn't say he got his hands on the book that would be illegal. He got to stick on the puck and shot one past. Kevin, like I'm the only one of Florida's 17 shots to allude the Black Hawks rookie netminder Sam Bennett, another point on the primary assist on that goal by declaring another former Blackhawk, Gustav, forced link. "You know after this year I don't I don't know I've heard the West is a little bit tighter and maybe a little more tight checking and but I mean I think that's just what guys out in the West to say because you know they're mixed themselves exactly yes I mean there is sort of a history of defense going from the east to the west end struggling at first because of of what you said you don't have that extra half second or whatever to make a point yeah I I don't know I think I think playing in the central division the last eight years is it's been a great division as tight checking and you've you know Winnipeg Nashville these teams are you know they're big teams escape well and they have good systems so what I mean you look at the division we're now it's it I think that we have probably one of the best divisions in in hockey now so it's it'll be interesting to see what the style of play fields any different now you're sitting here doing the interviewing a new maple leaf Hoodie and the number on it is ninety four what's the story with ninety yeah yeah it's kind of a feels Russia number a little bit Noah so fours retired here and I was Kinda thinking what number I'd taken I thought twenty two is kind of maybe a bit boring for me and I'd worn it at the world juniors but it didn't really feel like my number and then I was honestly thinking for like a week the looks of it and then I said ninety four and I was like that kind of feels like my number so I just I was like you know what I'm just going to go with it so your dad like obviously a big influence on you're like what are the biggest lessons he ever taught you yeah I think he he coached me all through minor hockey and He was a bit of a helicopter out in junior making sure that I was getting everything I needed and he's just been just been so instrumental and I remember when I was kid and he would I think he knew what it took to get here to the NHL and he wanted me he wanted that for me and he pushed me a little harder than maybe most kids and but since I've made it I talked to him all the time and after most games and he's always the most positive guy and five play bad when he was like well you stunk move on you know he's he's super super positive and he's always in my corner and I think yeah I'm grateful to have him as a as a role model in my life and so just kind of felt switched Jersey numbers it just kind of felt nice to maybe be able to take a little bit has your here's what they said it was tough on you and then you made it is your relationship changed since you made the NHL I mean he was he's always tough but fair I think even growing up he was always he always instilled hard work I'm very awful for that and I don't think that's changed but I think you know now it's a little different because I'm doing my own thing and you know I'm going to the trainers in here and he has no idea how hard I work could anymore he just sees the product on the ice so it's it's a great relationship to have though and I know I I'm lucky to there's actually other guys around the League that call him after Games too just because he's the the guy to talk to and he's always you know got a good outlook on things always curious about those that helped you along the way whether someone behind the bench someone on the ice because arrive in Toronto and there's a huge piece of work behind you whether it's going back to junior with Memorial Cup experienced top prospects game time leading scorer amongst defencemen for the Colorado avalanche you don't get there all by yourself who are some of the people there on the Acer behind the bench that helped you along the way you know it's been a combination of just for whatever reason I feel like I've been surrounded by kind of great people in very professional people wherever I go and I think the clone Iraq was a huge judge steppingstone for me coming out of midget hockey and going there not knowing what to expect members Hamilton and and Ryan Hoskin and the crew that we had there really you know they're they take us young kid and you know they kind of show you how how to be professional and what is GonNa look like at the next level and it made it kind of you know seamless to go and transition clone into professional hockey and then I find once you get to the shell and you can kind of you know you you put the Nhl such pedestal and then once you get there and you can see it so close I think that you kind of put your nose down and try to work for you mentioned Colona and do you have an explanation for why it's this murderer's row of defenseman the defense factory in the NHL goes right through Colona explained I think maybe learn for he's a he's an unbelievable believable person and he's been doing that a long time and for whatever reason he's been able to find some guys and and I think clone itself and the way they run that organization and the city and everything that has to offer just tracks you know good young players now that they have this kind of reputation of developing defenseman I think it's of a seems like a marquee spot for young talented defensemen to try to find their way there when twenty-eight-year-old Tyson Barrie looks back at seventeen year old Tyson Barrie was the thing that makes you laugh the most higher no I had I had some bad hair not their minds great now but I had like the I like the Jerry L. Mullet who else I dunno I ate a lot of desert there's nothing wrong with it yeah so nothing's changed I guess I think it was a pretty cool guy for the bad haircut game seven last year against San Jose it was just a crazy night you guys fell down nate got hurt came back he got it out like that was one of the best games I saw last season I call which I know guys on your team felt they never got a good enough explanation can you just talk about that night when it was over yeah that was the furthest we'd been as a team You know it was devastating I think I like to tell landy that he cost US conference fine I'll just get sucked we thought we once we beat Calgary and we were planned San Jose and we we never really realizes like maybe we had a team that could do this and then we kind of got into it and we're like it was kind of I opening we're like wow we can probably we are one game away from the conference final and then to lose that in in the way that we did and it was a it was a it was an entertaining game for sure and it was just a bit disappointing on the whatever that was called off side and I'm not saying it was right or wrong I have no idea it was it's just a tough way and yeah and then you know once you get traded and you didn't Oh you lose and you think you know we all thought well you know what that's a good stepping-stone next year we're going to have another crack at it and then you get traded and and then it makes it even a little more I wish you there for eight years and would have been nice to do a little more damage in the playoffs curious about players you're not gonNA miss playing against in the western conference is there are some high-skilled elite level players who's the one guy you're not gonNA miss who I'm not GonNa Miss you know what I'm not I'm not looking forward to playing in eight tell you that but I've never played against them I've seen them I've seen what he can do to some defensemen and so it'll be that'll be marked on the calendar but could be that night he was GonNa make you pay there's so many good players there that I mean I think Patty right up there for me on guys that you know we see so much just from being in the same division and he definitely let us up a few nights so at the golf tournament the other night they show they were talking about who's it can vote for that how bad address or is he yeah it's tough it's tough to watch it's almost like he hasn't seen a magazine or watched TV or like done any sort of research into like what people are wearing and he'll go shopping and he comes out with like it looks like he's like going for the nineties luck and I just don't understand not thrilled about especially since I've I've been with them for the last two years I think we need to we need to get him dialed in one of your explanation Colorado I asked him like you know what kind guys Toronto getting and he laughed and he said they are getting a ball Buster Supreme Blake in those times when the season is a bit quiet or it's hard like what Tyson Barrie is GonNa do is going to break up that room and he's GonNa ease the tension and nobody is getting away unscathed is that an accurate according to this locker I'm just I'm seeing a lot of things that I'm just kind of bite my tongue on but yeah I always like to keep it light and have fun with it and I like to just in general does make fun of people for whatever they're doing so I hope it's well received and if it's not be tough balance David and I we like to wager we like to bet on maybe a couple of games who's going to score the first goal time of last school things like that what we do is we go to.

Yeah we're all Kinda wondering we really didn't know what was going to happen or if they're gonNA come back as your contract was upper or whatnot but I'm kind of happy see they did it the way they did it and told us I think it was like a week before the season ended and said that this is going to be their last season because I think we we're pushing too to win even that much more for them and make it memorable and special for them so I'm glad they told us for sure you know obviously here there's been a lot of captains you talk and the thing that I'm interested in is I think there's two kinds of players and there's the players who can handle the stage and there's the players can't handle the stage you're not a guy who likes to Brag about it yourself you're not a guy who's GonNa Scream for the biggest headlines but I think in Vancouver you love the stage would that be correct I think yeah I think that's is pretty accurate I got yeah you're right I'm not going to be the guy that you know it was going to be loud and begging for attention and no I'm Kinda the type of player where I'm just GONNA play my game be myself and be the best player and leader I can be but again I love that pressure I love that being held accountable in adding to be the guy that is going to do it for my team and help my team win so I think I think you hit the nail on the head their first time for everything yeah exactly yeah no I think you know we have so many great leaders in our room and so many people that could potentially be captain of the steam and even being considerations very humbling in October the month every team has hope but it's also time to start thinking about getting to and from the rank.

"Of podcasts continues and today listeners will hear from Sam Bennett of the flames at defensemen Tyson Berry of the maple leaves but we'll start off with Bo corvettes news around him surrounds an initial and were were dropping this podcast on Monday morning two days before the canucks play their home opener against the La kings and that is the night that many of us believe that Bullhorn Vat is going to be named the captain of the connects that makes him in your estimation captain material well I think he's all business right and the thing I really like about horrified is in Vancouver nothing happens in a vacuum everybody has a big opinion on everything and and if I was a player I would love that I would want to be in a market where the fans care and what I do matters and whether you love me hate me to have an opinion on me so for example last week we reported that she was likely going on waivers about an hour before it had opened and in that our it was crazy chaos yeah it was craziness so you know when you make a trade for Cory Schneider the guy that your getting he's getting traded for if it works it's obviously huge first rounder but if it doesn't work it's a disaster so when the moment that bullhorn gets drafted it's weird traded Cory Schneider for this guy so he knew he was going into a Maelstrom and look how well he's turned out that says to me that you've got big brass ones that's a captain tough market to skate in tough market to survive I and he's done both and I focus on the skating one thing in particular coming at a junior that was the knock on Bo Horvat was going to be able to escape at the NHL level always admire players that identify the weaknesses right away and go about correcting them immediately and often that's Bohora vet see I don't get goofy more about when somebody people say oh this guy doesn't ski yet in NHL level because it's been proven from John Virus to Brian Boyle too bullhorn fat if you're willing to learn you can so that doesn't worry me anymore so if you came to Jaffa Newer my scout and during my Scottish probably be fired but if you were my scout and you said to me you know we've got a really good prospect here that we like but doesn't skate well my first question would be easy willing to learn 'cause he's willing to learn you solve that problem then what about teams and Toronto is believed to be one of them the draft last year in Vancouver instructed all of their scouts if the kid you WanNa talk to me about Kansas Gate put him on the do not draft list I don't know if I would agree with that if you're gonNA tell me can't skate and not willing to learn okay but can't skate do we believe he can learn is it impossible symbol like if you're telling me that either the kid is not willing to learn or as something physical with them that you don't think will allow them to learn that's something else but hey remember John Tha virus las say oh he'll be good from the Blue Line in but he won't be a two hundred foot player would you take Ryan Boyle he was a first round pick did wash out but put in the effort life is never black and white there's always shades of gray a share Graham willing to learn willing to lead this is bullhorn VAT on thirty in the pot gaps pundits it loose for life now the left Cyber Ericsson Harrison will typically score bullhorn Matombo decrease heat Affleck's Asmar Andre Fleury heavily over the war Matt and it's set up the middle and back in the zone Rask out the plant gave it away to turn shoots and scores shorthanded seven four Inox Vassar Jason Front Baltic one that scores ran line with South Dickson the goal Alex and the two points Elliott please be joined now by Bo Horvat of the Vancouver canucks in Bo- There seems to be a a sense of optimism in Vancouver there's what around your organization there is one around the fans as well a lot of things change changed When Pederson showed up and did what pederson did to say nothing of rock Basser as well how do you feel about the team heading into this season I'm feeling really good about our team I'm like I said we've had a lot of new new faces join our group that are going to help us make the next step no they're exactly what our team needed right now with you know Myers and Bannon and Furlan and Miller I think they all add size and Britain and skill to our lineup and depth and I think it's going to be we're hoping to make that next step the toughness thing furling milic that's something you felt at times last year that you guys needed yeah I I think it no we didn't need that and especially when you guys are starting to really key on PD invest you know towards the end of the end of the season when like holy crap these guys are now especially PD they didn't know him from obviously and you know they realized how good he was starting to a little bit more so bad that is and strengthen and maybe toughness to his line this is GonNa do him favors you talk about the holy crap I think there was a lot of that last year I don't think people knew what to expect from pederson and I think there was a lot of holy crap going around the league it was going on I address here so player so like what what was the first since we're calling it that what was the first holy crap moment for the players from day one right from his first game again in preseason and in cabinet kiss guys got some scalise she's good but then I game rose around knee scores that bar down reps it was awesome matterson down the wing rips it over the glove of Mike Smith on a two on one after it goes in Mike Smith and even went in and that's their celebrating Loui Eriksson that goes and grabs the puck for pederson on the kids first NHL goal and we hope there's many more to come ripped and you're like okay like this a player and then he had an assist that night and then you're like okay so you had one good night but then he kept following it up with it another great night and another great night and you know just kept coming so like okay this is the real deal and not only like his offense like the way he works away from the Puck to is really impressive young player because you can't teach that and he's got the whole package there I can recall in Michener's draft you're talking to one scout who brought up the point that is another London night Michener's make the right play he makes the better play he makes the play that when he starts to make it say oh no no no what he'd and then halfway through your sense like Ooh and you see that with pederson to like DC that you see like oh I never thought that was possible but he just did it like he's you're playing with them you you gotta expect the unexpected is the best way to put it now he's got a couple of system my goals this year were There was one specifically I remember it against Jose where he found me across ice with Donald six seconds left in the period and not in a million years when you think he's going to get that over to me and he didn't know look rate on my tape about playing a pederson investment here's pederson slows across us back Dr one time it's just like you have to be ready for those things because he thinks the game different than everybody else and you have to be prepared for everything if you miss one of his passes does he give you the side I he hasn't decide let them decide I know he's he's usually pretty good he gets he he does get frustrated and you know he does he's really emotional and passion about the game and like he wants to win and his will to win is really high every single night so he does get no fire it up and and he wants to wants to be the best he wants to score goals doc plays and I think that's what makes them so special you know the Vancouver team before you got there the tomb that was great the thing that I really liked about them is that although there were a lot of different personalities they really bonded like you could tell those guys for all the unique personalities in their room they hear about each other they went to battle for each is that happening yet that's I think that's the culture you have to have to in order to have success in the League you have to be willing to go to bat for one another and fight for the guy sitting beside you and I think we're starting to get that culture now I think a lot of the guys in the room are really close and we want we wanted to see each other succeed in do well and I mean that's the cause of any team where you know if you're willing to do whatever it takes to help your team win then you're GonNa have success who's the guy on on the team that's like everybody gets along with but once a week does something and you're like I cannot believe this guy I've been picking on Jake retain a lot but I'd say him I'd say I'd say Jake the snake he's a great kid he you know he works hard he's big strong and he has all the tools and sometimes the opens his mouth and you're like hug areas again and but no he's awesome teammate awesome kid and now he's GonNa have a monster this year I want to ask you about you you as a player going back to junior hockey maybe even before it I know my answer I'm curious what yours is and they might be the same one what's the best goal will you think you've ever been involved in I've got that question a couple of times this year involved in the I'll never forget when hang air sorry when Danny scored the overtime I am winner in their final game at Rogers arena in front of all those fans and to be a part of that I was on the ice and I specifically remember going out there we've got the power play expected Larson's GonNa move into the base and so like my legit only job I did that entire thing was when the draw it so as soon as they won the draw I did not touch the puck for probably a minute half stop by they pass it was like Hank Danny Danny Hank Danny Danny back the eagles back to Danny and then Doc is just in the the net the whole place erupted and I didn't even care that touched the puck I wanted to be on the ice and I wanted to have be in that moment and it was probably the coolest thing I remember watching that.

"The robot may return the welter the the spanish robot with a spanish accent discount code for scientists sport but thank you to them and that we're looking ahead to the vuelta. Well you guys are there for the for the early shift. The welte is on past well recent history a race sort of burst into life primarily on 'em traditionally with the way the courses and so on it doesn't have the well certainly this year the jiro 'em was on. It was a slow burn. Wasn't it the jiro. If ever actually began burning toll ah the vuelta is more of kind of firecracker it gets off to an interesting star and and carries on and it looks like a very are you open race. I mean we've got. "We had last year where Simon Yates felt the necessity to go out and try and win time bonuses and gain here and gain there. It will be a much more Tranquillo opening. I already brilliant, isn't it? That means that means tranquil apparently in English. Really getting in the swing of mine is. Clearly in shape for the Jiro. But I think that that's actually not to be underestimated how that will alter suddenly somebody's like eight years. Approach to the race can afford to almost going to hyper nation for the first week just get through. Void anything difficult. Tricky dangerous doesn't need to go out and and stretch. And then we'll just see when the first big mountain stages. Come who's got there that pasting, right? Rarely whether's. I'm the pink jersey on Saturday evening could me. Yeah. But unlikely to want to defend that for a week. I mean, the prologue finish that the tricky hill by the looks of it, son. Lou the climb that the Jeter daily media finishes on every year. It's the climb simple. Remember signing gehri- famously infamously job Chris free at the end of a stage in two thousand nine is very two very steep. So six flat kilometers into the to the bottom of the climb. And then just a very steep Royce to the finish. If we take this Longtown. So each question we could be here for three weeks. Well, let's start we hear another lex crack on. Speaking from south London. Mike question to you guys regarding the GIO is who's going to be the standout sprints up from the group that going? Dishes to that as well to think or regret not sending Sam Bennett's zero inserting around think he's already up six win. So fall season is king very strong strong. Thanks bye. Well, Mark as I see it. It looks to be Vivianne e versus you in versus governor here in sprint stakes and bore one hundred grow taking Pasco Ackerman, the German instead of Sam Bennett, and that the spotlight will be on that I think because if I come and doesn't get a win. Then not question. We'll get off twenty but the opening week down your there's a few really good opportunities for the sprinted. And then there's a couple of absolutely billiard table flat stages off to the first restaurant, plenty of opportunities for the sprinters. And what's going to be interesting is to see whether somebody gets on a roll and adds a second third or whether they're gonna share it out evenly. We there's plenty of opportunity to see which of the sprinters is in the best form. I mean the early signs so far. Well, say based on the tour de France lost years Gaviria is going right to the top of full swing even footing with grown Avirgan at the top of the sprinters hierarchy you in very haven't gone up against each other. That often most suspicion is the UN might end up being quickest of these young generation eventually. But he's going to be interesting..

"To claim your free case today. What we heard from some Bannon there Daniel that was a wonderfully awkward moment in the interview when you asked to by, you know, not being slighted for the Jiro next year having read, and so well there this year, I mentioned mentioned a couple of times, August sound Ben is, you know, he's very thoughtful as well. And find his answers his. You know, his explanation of kinda sprint three years. And what he's learned about himself to be absolutely fascinating as well. But when you began asking him by the Jiro in by the his place in the team, he couldn't help himself, but give you on a sound, sir. Which is you know, which is one of the things we liked him. I think all the more remarkable rich when you consider that setting team training camps in December January whenever they take place tend to be place where you hear a lot of candy floss a lot of blandishments about how great the new team is how great the old team is. And how much did is looking forward to to the races on that program and in the following year. And you know, yesterday, I was talking to some Benny on is pool terrace outside the hotel. He was surrounded by. And teammates and members of the borough Hans grow monument, and it was a day was an important day for the team in the sponsor in the sense that they were announcing these contract renews. I can be very important for the teacher. And yeah, he completely different notes while not well, not going over the line of of sort of war is fair. And I think he as you heard that he understands the the decision from a marketing commercial point of view, and but on the other hand, we can't help, but feel very aggrieved difficult, isn't it because if you're really not team, the the German, the German identity to that team is very very important commercially unsportingly Ralph thank he runs. A team has has built lot team up over very. Many years and has done a really a really good job. I think of building a formidable multinational team, but with the very strong German identity. You've got a young sprinter light Pasco Arkham, and he does very very promising and capable of winning the the highest level. What do you do with them? Is it fair that he gets the note over Sam Bennett for the choice? I guess the proof will be in the Jiro at self unrest. You you mentioned that the way Roth thing is built this team. Is speaking yesterday about precisely and how proud he is of having created team, which has has kind of old Ganic sponsors, then not only guards than not very rich entrepreneurs who just doing this favor that to companies born Hans crowd that have come in because of the very attractive proposition. The the Ralph Bank has been able to often, and he sort of talked to me about the way they want the sponsors, and it's almost a day to day conversation. With the sponsors about how they can offer more value. It's not something that's only discussed when the contracts nearing expiry. So, and I think that the relationship between sponsors on team in particular is maybe stronger more intimate than as other teams. And which probably puts even more pressure on them to to favor athletes who are going to have an obvious hook for the sponsors in this case, the hookah their nationality. Yeah. I think that proves not Windsor equa- and champagne who's been with the team since when they were net app endure and had much more of our when a slight British flavor, but also a real international aspect to them. The team has become more German over the last few years to the point where now eighties German team with a with a one very big star name. And you know, we've talked about over the course of the season that bore handscroll is about more than just Peter shy guy. But somebody like Sam Bennett winning three stages of the Jiro. You would a few in the old days of cycling that would earn. You an opportunity to move onto the tour de France and and test test himself at that level. But it doesn't necessarily follow that that's going to be the case..

"Actually, speaking of your boys row the crew fucking ridiculous. We actually have a lot of a lot of guys this year who are pretty somewhere around the same age, obviously, Johnny. Monitor both pretty young guys. But they they'd been in the NHL for years. They're part of kind of like our our younger guy crew. Sam Bennett, Mark Jankowski? No Hannifin Lindholm this year. Can scarred? Yeah. We got a nice little. Rocking hilarious. Yeah. He's a mute news grape mutinous, right? I went to the stampede this year and Madame and he fucking lined up like forty shots. I thought to myself yet the guys in line of that. Yeah. Burnt rattled show. No, Burt Reynolds. I was like who the fuck orders anymore. Wait. What's it Reynolds? No idea. But I remember the name what's Burt Reynolds. Matt. It's like, I don't even know. I think it a little bit of. Two different things mixed one. And I it. Yeah. Halls and then he loves them. But anyway, I feel like it's this thing and like loves it because he knows the boys talk about it. Yeah. With Yager Agra meisters. Yeah. The benefits. It's known as the Burt Reynolds guy at the bar. Law that we brought him up with that. Be thrilled. I could ask Beaumont ahead because there's a parody account Emma, Twitter's boring Shaw head. Chirp for interviews and stuffers. He just quiet. That I even I even saw that account before before plan with him. Then I'm like, oh, I'm gonna probably with them. He's not going to say pretty much anything just pretty straight face the whole time. And he's like completely the opposite. When. On unreal guy on so funny. Like, great sense Umer, dry sense of humor, definitely is like monotone or like talk a lot like you. You know, especially when you get to know me real outgoing. But yeah, once I was I thought the exact same thing when I was first drafted, I didn't know any of the boys going into my first training against. I was like all right. I see this orange Sean Monahan Twitter account Pompa like, oh, God like this isn't going to be, you know, expecting this. And then you meet them. He's kind of a complete one as an awesome guy. And. Yeah, great here is he the guy in the room. That's doing most of the chirp. Like he's going after people is or is there another guy that it's kind of clone. No. I think there's there's a few guys that don't know kinda a fair amount. I think the guy who you know, other than game time during games. He's so real serious. And you know, obviously, pretty dialed them at all times. But I think you know in the mornings and practices. I think Geos a guy who likes to throw it on. Hurts and so is amick. But but I'd say GIO probably takes takes the cake for the most subtle. It's just like little stuff. That's you know, handle it stop and even all today and risk. Curls. And Chris curl a waterbed. Who's your road? Roommate? I actually we have we have an odd number of guys right now and on the sea. So I actually do not have one right now. But last year Jankowski the year before it was. Have right cool and have Sam Bennett. So, you know, kind of some of the guys that have become my closest buddies as well now one of the earlier preseason games. Do have the a on for a game. Correct. Yeah. And yeah, I have one during the regular season here as well. That's the sounds like the coach stat that was that was a nice way of saying I got a fucking letter. My jersey. Letter Whitney was a preseason letter guy that you could Chuck so regular season letter. No, that's that's that's on getting. Speaking plain, like a veteran, you certainly were when you when you decide to backup drew Doughty's tree a couple years ago. Now was any of that stuff sort of premeditated, or did it just happen organically, and you said screw it? I'm just going to ride this wave. Yeah. I it obviously playing against guys especially the teams out west you play them so much that you're gonna have. Enemies. It's unnatural the start to white not not like them if that makes sense, and you're gonna not like when you play that many times. The first couple of games of the year. Real intense games. He's very intense player. You You know, know, like. like, I wouldn't say chirp length and play hard, emotional guys..

"They want him sitting out or break in his hand on the guy like Kassian, and that's no offense to cast. 'cause I I love him. But. Yeah. I feel that play good. Yeah. I don't know. He's a he's a solid player. He's not math. You could Chuck though. I definitely I feel though if you do cross a line and go at mcdavid that you're that you're open topa game. That's just you want a guy like that in the lineup every night for the sake of hockey. So it's kind of like a, hey, if you think he can go after him like you deserve to get a few shots at had a I love the way Matthew ca Chuck plays. He's a fucking he era. Tate's guys. He plays physical. He can put the puck in the natty can make plays. But I I have no problem with what Kassian. I totally agree. I have no pro. I mean when I saw when I was watching that happening when he kinda on mcdavid or whatever he was doing there in the first period, and I was sitting in the bar watching the game on TV. And I was like, oh, boy, I'm like this is going to open up. 'cause I mean, the Oilers are one of if not the toughest there. One of the teams in the league right now that rarely comes into play anymore. But when I saw it happen. I was like Matthew Chuck might be getting his lunch fed to them by Luchik. But I mean, like I said, I mean, look any do math extracts not gonna fight him. But no, I thought it was an excellent player. It's very urinating. I thought kassy's response was good. My thought it was. I mean, let's pretty good atmosphere at the rink tell you that. At this pace, man. He could be one of the most hated flames. Ev I mean, like Twitter absolutely hates him. I know Twitter's and everything, but it is pretty indicative of how Edmonton fans fail, and they were all in my fee last night on my favorite yelling at me. I'm like, I got no I got no doggedness fight. But they would take an did. You gotta go look at the die Donal nurse. Sam Bennett fight, Mike. You know what I didn't. I got to the rank right? I missed it. And then I saw kind of a little bit on the highlights after the game on TV when they're showing highlights. So I did see it. I kind of by this time. I was you know, a few double deepen the weed oil had a full effect on me. So I can't say I was really analyze it. But it looked like a pretty good when I saw then it had bundled them when a clean hot check after when they were getting broken up by the linesman..
