"27th or worse in all those categories last season, meaning steichen has his work cut out for him. Here's more from the introductory press conference. My philosophy is we're going to throw to score points in this league and run to win. We're going to throw to score points and run away. Now that could look different each week, you know, sometimes I went into games like, hey, we're going to throw it a bunch, and then we ended up running at 45 times. So the flow is going to dictate that. I know we got some pieces in place to get that done. The offense is going to be dictated on who's playing quarterback. That's how you build the system, what does he do well? What is their strengths, but not only just the quarterback is the players too, what does Pittman run well, receiver wise, you know, the tight ends, the back Jonathan Taylor offensive line, what do they do well? We want to do a hell of a job of trying to put our guys in position to make place. No one can shy away from the fact what quarterback means in this league and how we have to look going forward, we're Shane and Chris really dig into this draft and really see where you're at. Do you stay put? Do you trade up, you know, there's many things you can do. They took Jalen in the second round. So yeah, a trade back. So he likes picks. He likes picks. Although the Alabama guy doesn't look bad. I tell you. Oh, that was funny. Chris Ballard's like, yeah, that's going to end up on Twitter. Not only there, but it ended up on NFL live. It's on TV too, Chris. So the GM's saying trade back. We love it. Ryan, they're mentioning the quarterback. That's a big piece of this for the colts. They need to get one. Yes. First of all, Shane steichen, you won the first press conference, brother, when you can go into a team or go into your first press conference, speaking about the positional needs at the quarterback position, but also pointing out Pittman, who is your number one wide receiver. They think about Jonathan Taylor, who two years ago was the best bank in the entire football league and then talking about offensive line that actually regressed a little bit last year, which was part of the offensive problems. When you think of this team, they have to understand that finding a quarterback has it been the veteran route of that route hasn't for them in the recent history. So think about the CJ strouds, the Bryce youngs, but they're still will be the Jimmy Garoppolo was on the market. And if there's an opportunity to create a quarterback competition or to find the right guy, we know that Shane steichen has been a part of developing an offense that fit exactly what the quarterback was very good at in Jalen hurts. It's kind of a situated his positives and negated some of his negatives and that's what you want to coach to be able to do. He watched the team, he's watched the team have to play complimentary football, so I think this is a great hire for the Indianapolis coach. Yeah, smart energetic and passionate. That's what you hear about staying steichen. You just talked about the quarterback position. I'll be quick here. He was spent the majority of his coaching career with the Chargers and then Philadelphia. I think of Philip Rivers, Justin Herbert, and Jalen hurts. Strong, powerful, big dudes, and Jalen obviously being athletic with Justin. Two names. Will levis from Kentucky and then Anthony Richardson from Florida. Those are the two quarterbacks that are going to fit the mold of what Shane steichen has been around for the great majority of his coaching career. So Dan, in that question, because I was going to talk about that. But in that question, what you just mentioned when you look at both of these guys, development wise, how their tailored is it because of what you just saw with Jalen hurts and him accentuating the positives as RC spoke of or do you think that Shane steichen legitimately can go another direction? Let's just hypothetically think that he can't get another guy like that. Do you think he has enough cash in acumen to do it with a guy that you may have to play with without those necessary athletic traits? Good question. I don't know him well enough to know exactly if that's the case. I'll answer it this way, Marcus. They have no choice. They got to go get their guy. You got to go get The Rookie. And I think one of those two kids fits at least what he's been a part of in the past. I think the Jalen aspect of this year changes the way he looks at the position and changes the way he wants to coach football, meaning implementing that quarterback run, but I think Anthony Richardson and will levis could do both of it because of their size. Yeah, you heard her say, they're not shying away from it. They'll trade up if they need to. And it's going to be a fascinating conversation in the lead up to this draft. Field, what's set out to you in the press conference? You know, Laura, at one point, Chris Ballard talked about how he and Shane steichen are aligned philosophically and how they want to build a roster. And that's one of those lines that anytime a GM says it, I'd say like 98% of the time, it's a throwaway generic press conference cookie cutter line. Here's why it matters, though. There were multiple instances this year, most notably when Frank Reich was hired, and when Sam Allen was named the starting quarterback, where it felt like Jim irsay decided what he wanted to do and made the decision. Owner's own the team, they write the checks, they can do what they want. But you hire a GM to empower him to make those decisions or a head coach to make those decisions. It sounded like this was the candidate that Shane steichen wanted and by that it makes me that Chris Ballard wanted in Shakespeare and let Chris Ballard do his job, build a team and not have an odor metal into important football decisions, which the track record shows more often than not, that does not sustain well over time. Yeah, organizations don't work well that way, feel great point. Over the last 5 seasons, by the way, the colts have had 8 different starting quarterbacks, including a different week one starter in each of those seasons they need some semblance of continuity there. Well, Andrew Luck would have been nice. I see what you did there. All right, we're just getting started on NFL live. Do the eagles have any regrets from their Super Bowl lost. "Radio audience in our listening radio audience when you hear us laughing so hard coming back. But we were just talking about, you know, I said that you knew you made the right decision not to go to a game when the winning team hit the over on its own and TJ's like, how'd you know that? And I'm like, well, the guys next to me knew it. And I'm like, well, yeah, I know my son knew it. At 11 year old new one. That's a broker. Again, coop, we made a decision that we could leave by the third, if the third quarter was out of hand by the end of the third. And then when they went up, I think it was 40 something. Well, I think what we might have seen him hit 50. Yeah. And that's where we're out. We're gone. He said, maybe we should stay to see if Georgia scores a hundred. I couldn't sit there and tell him, come on. They scored on every patient. I should have done it. And we're guys open everywhere, and then when there was just even a slight window, bets and stetson Bennett hit it. He hit that window. Every time, the running plays were getting 8, 9, ten, 11 yards a pop. Yeah, at one point they were averaging 9 yards a play. 254 rush yards to 36. 589 total yards to one 88. They didn't even have two football fields to total yards international championship game. Man. Go figure that. They made him a captain. 8 four four two O four rich. No, I don't know why that line just popped in my head, but it did. 8 four four two O four rich number to Donald here on the program. One of the teams digging out from underneath the wreckage of the 2022 National Football League campaign is number three on my list of top 5 most disappointing teams of the season. Yesterday, when you come in with a kid that had a revelatory season at running back and can be MVP, certainly behind an offensive line that we said over and over and over again would be the best one that Matt Ryan was playing behind. Maybe his entire career, and this is a guy who was playing behind an offensive line that he was an MVP behind at one year. Took him to a Super Bowl in Atlanta. But boy did it fall apart, it fell apart fast for the Indianapolis Colts. I mean, when they tied the Houston Texans to start the season, it's kind of like what? Was that what was that? And then, you know, the colts just began to sputter and they got Matt Ryan destroyed. He was an iron deer in the front lawn to begin with. You know, at the Jaguars, home for the chiefs, I don't know, how the hell did they win that game? They are one one and one at one point, right? How'd the bears beat the forty-niners? They got swept by the Tennessee Titans. By week 7, it was over, and the Titans as we all know lost every game pretty much in the last two months of the season. That game at the Denver Broncos, I think, turned us all back into cavemen. That's how that's how it was stone agey that game was, remember that one? Thursday night. What a horrible game that was. Right. And then they started, they turned to Sam Allen you're just in time to feed him to the Belichick wolves. Can you imagine? Can you imagine what we're going to do? We can take a kid who's never played before. That's throw him out there against the Patriots on the road. By the way. And that was Frank Reich's adios farewell. They're going to bounce him, and this may be a top ten moment in the history of this show, Chris. When you and looking at your laptop and you're like, oh man, I'm like, what? And you're like the culture just hired Jeff Saturday and I'm like, what? Literally nobody could have seen that. You're like, what? 'cause it was like they fired Frank Reich, oh man, did they really pull the trigger on Frank in the middle of the season like that? That is pretty damn cold after they clearly told him you got to start the kid over Nick Foles. I mean, Nick Foles is the reason why Frank Reich was a head coach for the Indianapolis Colts. The first place. Isn't that weird? Right? Yeah, no, no, don't go to Nick. Don't go to Nick with the season online. Let's not go, let's see what we've got in the kid. And feed him to the Belichick wolves and when the result that we could all see coming like it's one of those horror movies you're watching through your fingers. You know? Happens. And when that result occurs, let's fire the guy. And then hire Jeff Saturday. Who then, by the way, because the colts had already fired the offensive coordinator before firing Frank Reich has got to turn to a kid who's never called a play before. To be his offensive coordinator. They went to Vegas and won that game. Jeff sany, once upon a time was one and O, just like the national championship game was once upon a time ten to 7. Can you at some point, maybe this week maybe next week? Can you do a top 5 of the strangest results of the 20? You look back that top 5 did that really happen to 2020? You're like, wait, what? Done. Tomorrow, I got it. Fantastic.

"It's another problem. I was with you with Vegas. And because listen, I picked them to win the AFC west. I'm not going to flex whatever muscle I have here. So they're awful and they keep getting keep getting worse. But did we overreact to the Jeff Saturday hire? Because we can't really have it both ways. We can't come on here every week and say these coaches all suck. I know people who could do a better job. And then they hire a guy who played, you know, and somebody happens to be drinking buddies with the owner. Okay, that bothers people. But everyone's outrage, like, wait a minute. This guy's not qualified. It's like, yeah, nobody's qualified. The guy that give an 8 $40 million is not qualified either. So what does it really matter? We didn't have all the information after the hire, because it turned out he had been helping with offensive land evaluation for two years. So he did have a slight feel for the team. Basically, he comes in, he makes two decisions. One is he brings it in this offensive coordinator who had never called plays before because the QB coach turned it down. So he said, all right, I'm going to have this guy call the place. And then I think he watched Sam Allen practice for a day or two days and was like, I can't fucking start this guy. Where's Matt Ryan? Can he still can he stand? Can he throw ball ten yards? All right, he's in. And then that was it, but I saw the colts put up his postgame speech. I think I'm in on Jeff Saturday. He gave like this two minute this incredible speech. She's like a leader of men. He's doing the, we were the tougher team today and he was doing the whole thing. And I'm like, you're right. Maybe that's all this is. Maybe you just have to be able to give good postgame speeches and just have common sense like, hey, Matt Ryan's better than Sam ellinger. What are we doing? And that's it. That's all they needed. And they're like a different. He has four come from behind victories. Now, if the other side is like, all right, they're tanking. And I know this bothers you less than it bothers me. You were in love with the NBA and, you know, like 12 teams are tanking by middle of November. And you think it's adorable. I don't make it for football. Yeah, and it's hard for football, right? Did you get killed if you tanked? But you can start the inferior quarterback. So were they on the wrong different pages or say? And what were they just never tanking? In the first place. If they were never tank in the first place, they should have left Matt Ryan, and he was still capable. He has four come from behind victories now. Yeah, well, I don't know what happened. I don't know whose decision it was. The ellinger thing was defensible, at least. It was a running quarterback. That's where the league is going. The whole thing, but he was so bad. I don't know how you start that dude again. Frank Rick was starting to look like a white walker by, you know, after all the bad quarterbacks that they went through, but it also

"And Jeff Saturday wasn't even expecting this. Here is what Saturday said when he stepped to the podium yesterday. Yeah, shocked would be an understatement, right? Shock would be an understatement. So yeah, we had the conversation and it escalated quickly. He asked me, my wife, Karen, and he said, hey, will you go have a conversation with your wife and make sure that she's on board and my son, Josh, still lives with us at home and you have that conversation. And he told me he was going to meet with Chris about it and Chris and I knew she's the most important one. That's exactly right. Thank you kids. And so we had the conversation. We talked about it and prayed about it and then as the day progressed this morning, we finally came to a conclusion, but it was. A 12 hour whirlwind. Here's the scoop because my phone's been texted and ringing and I'm not. Are you in the cold staff? That's my way of setting up that I don't traffic in the same NFL circles as the guy who's sitting in this chair for the rest of this week filling in for me. And hanging out with you guys and everybody who's listening and watching over the next three days while I go to Germany to call that game on Saturday, Tom post Sarah. I'm not an information individual. Per se. But my ears to the ground and people just send me text. The league is stunned. By this, stunned. By this, and people are also pissed about this around the league. People who are coaching and doing everything that needs to be done on the dues paying front. Of all colors, by the way, and Jeff Saturday is sitting at home and gets a phone call from an owner in the NFL saying, how'd you like to be a coach of the Indianapolis Colts? And Jeff Saturday is going to be absolutely in the figurative crosshairs of this. Aspect of this job, you can not blame him for taking it. Okay? You can not blame him for taking the job. He's not going to sit there and go, I can't take the job because I didn't pay my dues. No, an owner actually called him and said, hey man, I'm someone I'm sure he adores. And an organization he adores in a town he adores and is nothing but if his family is willing to say, okay, you go and chase that dream and we'll live our lives. I imagine separately. I'm thinking he lives in Indianapolis. So it is a challenge for Jeff Saturday to basically uproot his life and just throw himself into this mix, so I do not blame him for taking the job, but a lot of people are going to be blaming Jim mercy for offering it. And if it doesn't work out, I mean, again, it's not like the first thing he did announce is Sam Allen's job. Like I told you yesterday and last week as well, when we were kind of batting around the subject, maybe they do turn to Matt Ryan again, contractually they don't want to pay him the amount of money that he would be owed if he gets hurt behind this offensive line that has been absolutely the shocking sore thumb of this team. So far. This year. And so Saturday's got a kid who's going to be making his third career start. And Saturday said last night, he was going to spend last night. Making calls around the staff to see who will be the best person to call the offensive plays because nobody on the staff has ever done it before. And that's how they're going to, as of right now, we still don't know. I imagine the cults in Saturday have identified who that individual is, but there's a whole process of what the play is and how you're going to get it to the quarterback and how he's going to receive it. How is he going to get in his ears? The cadence back and forth, the decision making that's got to go. And Jeff's got to let him know on third down, set it up for fourth down and got to know how many timeouts he's got left. And all of that, you saw how this has consumed so much of Nathaniel Hackett's first year. So far in Denver, that they had to get them an old hand up in the booth to help him out with this sort of material. And maybe Jeff Scott that's cold. Maybe he does. He's a dude. He's really good. He's really accomplished. He's really smart, but one talk about an uphill challenge. My goodness, gracious. So, you know, everybody's wondering, what is Jim earthy thinking? And a very point blank question posed to him in the press conference last sound bottle play for you here. Was like, okay, everything you've said about this team so far, it's falling completely apart and you've backed your backed up on it. And you've kind of reversed course. Hit it. This spring you said that

Bet The Board

"I have no idea. That if you wrong the bet. You are not supposed to, I was gonna give you a chance to bring up week 7. It's in the rearview mirror. No, but I mean, there's something that's emerged since we recorded Monday show. And it's further proof that if you wrong us and the bet the Borg listenership, not only do you lose your job as an NFL starting quarterback, you're relegated to permanent bench duty like we've seen in Indianapolis, who have said, you know what? We're done with the Matt Ryan experiment. Sam Allen ger, you're our guy going forward for the rest of the regular season. You brought it up. And I think my joke was from about Saturday evening. Until late Sunday evening. I would have rather shared a cell with bubba. That money and the commissary for loop because that was the worst NFL week we have had since we've done this professionally in 2004. Ugly, ugly scene. I will say this. And the part about this and I think we touched on a little bit on the college podcast is in the moment watching it unfold absolutely sucks. But going back and figuring out if it was negative variance, or if it was just a bad investment, is the kick in the groin because you got to go through it again. And again, I came away with saying, maybe one, maybe two investments that we bet last week, I wouldn't make again. Others, I'm saying, not only am I betting it, I'm adding more to that position the way it unfolded. And again, with the colts game, I know it's not favorable because all of the public like the Titans, right? You get some of those comments after the fact, the Monday morning quarterbacks. But you look at that game and Indianapolis out gained. The Tennessee Titans. Again, and to me there was value in that number. You go back to that week four matchup where the colts close a four point favorite took steam from like 2.8 out to four. Now all of a sudden you can get three at home or three on the road. And we talked about that a little bit. I mean, the home field advantage in the NFL from building the building isn't 7 points. And when you have a total that low and it was the point scored, or even lower than that total. I thought there was some good value there. And we're never going to complain about refs because that stuff doesn't play well. But you have a 9 point game where there's one specific play that leads to a ten point swing. When you have Matt Ryan on first down, hand the ball off, it's a clear face mask penalty. It should be first and ten from the Titans 11. And at that point, you can do anything. The entire offense is open. We can run from shotgun, we can pass from shotgun. We can get Matt Ryan under center. We can run the ball from there. We can run play action instead. The face mask penalty is blown. It's second and 13 from the 29, and it's clearly a pass from shotgun. There's only one element there that the colts can do in Tennessee sent blitz. And you have the pick 6 there. Ten points swing in a game that ends 9, minus two and turnovers. Out gained the Titans, and that's how you lose a game. The post mortem is always the most difficult part of this business. And anybody who has aspirations of doing it professionally, you have to be honest with yourself and go through. And mark up and grade your games figuring out if it was bad beats or if it was bad bets. The last thing you want is confirmation bias impacting further investments down the stretch because you get caught scoreboard watching. But a quick update on the NFL season when you look at some of the numbers overall underdogs have had their time to shine 61 44 and two at a 58% clip so far this season, the rash of unders continues. 58% success rate if you've gone under the total and underdogs of four more points have been a very profitable type outcome. When you're looking at some of the points per game total wise, it's the fewest we've seen in the National Football League through week 7 in any season since 2010. Butt pain when we look at Thursday night that hasn't stopped over betters from supporting this particular total, where the Baltimore Ravens will travel to Tampa for tonight's game and you're looking at Tampa right now, a two point home favorite, total on this game, 46. When we talked on Monday, this number had shown wild fluctuations. Baltimore was actually a road favorite. We referenced it on the look ahead number saying it hadn't moved through a key number, but it had moved through zero, impacting a little bit of the teaser liability more than anything else. Obviously, plenty at stake for two starting quarterbacks. The ravens with a loss would be 500 or below through 8 games for the first time with Lamar Jackson as their starting quarterback. Meanwhile, a lost year for the Buccaneers would mean Tom Brady is two games under 500 for the first time in his career. When you look at the Buccaneers, they've gone under in 6 to 7 games this year, the Baltimore Ravens under the total in four straight. Tom Brady though, an interesting note worthy nugget here, 15 and O straight up, 12 and three against the spread the last 15 games immediately following back to back losses. But this bucks team just feels different. They feel a bit broken right now. They're a little bit banged up on the defensive side. When you begin to assess Tampa's prospects tonight pain, are you more optimistic in their offense rebounding or their defense devising a game plan to slow down Lamar Jackson? Both are good questions. We talked a little bit about this game on the look ahead Monday and we said, hey, this was three on the look ahead. We're now down towards pick. And we've got to indicated that the bucks we're going to take some money and sure enough they have just a weird game. I feel like we've said this more in the first 7, 8 weeks than all of last year. But it's part of why this season has been a little bit wonky and professional betters are having a tough time navigating it. This is largely an injury report game. Lamar Jackson missed time last week during practice with a hip, didn't look as explosive against the browns. Now you're on a short week. Bateman and Stanley were full participants on Wednesday, but both are questionable for the game. I think they ultimately play. But even last week, Bateman played 56% of snaps because not a 100%. Gus Edwards, even. Returned for week 7, and you can say, well, he only played 36% of offensive snaps.

I don't know that the stakes are as high as some people want to make it seem like there right now, because everybody's got his back. Everybody is behind him. At least for today. This might be the only leased for today. Yeah, it might be the only time Do you forget that yesterday on this program, I said, if he starts attacking the dubs, I'd leave my wife for him. You know you are some kind of guy there. Hey, man, he's got me. I'm smitten. Just win baby That's going to South Austin and talk to Ron is on K. O B. J. What's up, Ron? Hey, I want to support my boy. Vito. I am all over what? You think it's going to happen with this team this year? I'm wearing My longhorn while you better. I've got my orange flag flying. I am absolutely confident that Stark is not going to do. What other coaches Have done in the past the Christians and the the stuck Gilbert throw them in Ellenberger. Oh, he's just stronger and better this year when we have so had so many great quarterbacks. Sitting on the side. Uh, not playing. I think start is not going to make that same mistake of just keeping one quarterback in there, regardless of how they're doing, regardless out Eleanor and Christians and Gilbert works They didn't bring home the bacon. I'm sorry. They didn't bring home the bacon and I support my brother Vito. I think this is going to be a great season. Come hell or high water. It's going to be better than what it was Ron in the spirit of Friday, Lou you you're wearing your burnt orange y Vera. Give us a great grito to wish our Longhorns luck. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Well, yes. What I'm talking about. I love you. I think you're off base talking about Sam Allen girl that that stupid sports stagnation isn't drunk on the Boca And perhaps it was drunk. Yeah, I'm I think. What if Herman would have changed like turned a corner from him? We knew he was beat up and hurt last year. Ed, come on. He was matter of Sam. L was better than Casey Thompson, better than cut was hard being a beat up. Yeah. How do you know you never saw him? Because he's your right. We never saw. Thank you. They weren't good. Thank you, man. I'm still trying. We're not good enough. I'm trying to iron out enough iron out runs take here is he saying, unlike previous coaches, who perhaps stuck to their guns or a step, put a quarterback in for what? You might amount of political reasons. Jason, listen to me. Also, Steve is going to go with the best man for the job. All you need to take away from Ron's take is that he gave us a Badass grito on a gang Friday. Louise were to burn or dry a better for Christ. That was beautiful rhyme. All right, all the stuff about the Christians telling I was a little confused percent make much sense there, But I'm glad you're dressed like a million bucks today. Yeah, let's let's do it, man. Look, I mean, Am I worried about what's going to happen next week in Arkansas? Yeah, probably, uh, heroin 12 this season? Sure. Well, I'm just telling you, I'm telling you, right, Waffler, Bill Point waffling the great walling you right now, today, Uh, there is affirmation for this coach like I have never seen for a new head Coach. I was just just a wee lad when Mack Brown got the job. But affirmation for a new head coach that I have not seen. And I don't know if he'll he'll experience it again. But everybody has his back right now. And so I'm very confident. Longhorn. Yeah, 41 17. We should. We should be confident. We should be glad this guy's comes from a great pedigree at Alabama. Again translate the great stuff from Alabama. That means a great great deal for the Texas football team. Alabama, right? Alabama? MM, Alabama. So good. I'm glad I'm just I'm just I'm just trying not to get way way up during this. The Boca strategy can tell you said Texas overly channel for 28 2024. Yeah. 28 24 Longhorns win good defensive effort. If the Longhorns hold him sure that's 24 coaches said. If you every that's what he said, is it, he said earlier this year, Louisiana team veto Has 45 10. I got to say you would You know what you are you are once again King of Boca Mountain. Alright coaches, coaches, coaches said me, though, he said, if we can all opponents to 21 bonnets, that's his goal. I I get there. Look, dude. If if if if I'm looking for anything of this caliber of team of what we played last year and the defense this year compared to the defense last year how it ended last year with the new defensive coach this year, the off season that they had tackling Then? Yeah, like, Get out there, get fired up and stay on them. For the entire game. I mean, it's just college football in 2021. Now they're the rules. The rules are basically they've cheated them for the offense. I hear And so yeah, I think holding a team to 24 points. It's fine. Uh, a ranked team to 24 points. Yeah, but you've also talked circles. Both of you guys about Should Louisiana even be ranked. I mean, it was close games, you know? Yeah. Yeah, come. It should be there should be ranked because of all the people coming back. They've got 20 out of 22 starters. Um, how many people does rice have coming back? Are they ranked Well, unlike.

"Have to keep ramping it up and see how he responds. So it's too early to be as optimistic as which is fine until you watch that clip today and you see the way. He's moving and you see that. He took every rep. And it's like it's there. I mean this is great news. If you're an indie fan and quit nelson. They're all pro. Guard was back at practice. The exact same injury the exact same surgery and he's ramping up. It sounds like you were smart. Dan to to avoid the whole jacob etlinger sam allen. Lasko 'cause i made a mistake. I i was literally in bed on saturday night. it's close to bed time an amicus reading and whatnot. And i'm that's put on the old eastern etlinger comparison saturday night live but at that point it was time normally. We might be reading or whatever but yeah it was. It was close to go into bedtime. It was the ellen research eastern time. And i'll give you the shirt shorts and they both didn't play that well. That was both had a chance to to leave an impact. And i think when i was pushing back against the idea of getting too invested in that quarterback battle mark but you rightly you guys rightly pushed back well. When sister struggled historically to stay on the field so even if he did make it back. It's still matters who their backup. Quarterback is But then you push back that and say listen if carson wentz ends up getting seriously hurt again it's over anyway unless Eleanor turns out to be aaron rodgers. Like the owner said a couple of weeks ago. But the big picture here is. When's being ahead of schedule. Yeah the five to twelve week thing was funky from the very beginning so i guess we shouldn't be surprised that it ended up having a weird turn but i'm excited because the afc south needs all the juicy can get and having carson wentz there and quinton nelson. There is a huge step forward when you look at that division. And who's the favorite. Which i think the titans are but if the colts have these players ready it changes things for sure. That's why it gets tricky. Like projecting too. Far out i remember doing. I did a seattle radio station thing like the day after this first wins news came out. They're just like we're gonna roll in week. One you know. They were already week. One that the colts are coming to seattle. Would give the good chance. And i gave him no matter. What but it changes lie. It'll continue to change. We still as as close as the season feels. This is always the longest month. I think of the nfl calendar. We're still. we're still three weeks away. I mean yesterday would have been three weeks away from the first sunday of the that still awhile time do it you can the the one viewer week of preseason games helps for me because it always felt just interminable the the four weeks and then the five if you count the hall of fame game I don't get sidetracked there. I do have a overall preseason takeaway for the segment though in other news cam newton you get the jab the gm ab- moratorium on jab. Talk remember out on saying the say the new year but anyway cam. Newton has an issue. He won't be allowed in the pats facility until thursday after what he deemed a cove. Nineteen tests misunderstanding. He left the region of new england for medical employment But because he did not follow the correct protocol for Being out of the region he now has to stay away from the team for the next several days which is very bad timing for cam. I mentioned the jab thing because because it tells us that cam newton is not vaccinated because he has to follow this different stricter protocol in. That's disappointing for the patriots. Because they're trying to figure out who their quarterback is and if you're cam newton and you know you're in a real battle here with mack jones and i feel like the preseason and you tell me greg has been pretty neck and neck disappearing for most of a week inside three weeks of the season. Not great cam. Newton lives his starting job because of the covert protocols so stupid so annoying. The i found it really interesting. The though no it's i'm not putting any blame on the protocols i'm just saying like are you serious man. The patriots put out the statement. They seem to take the responsibility for which i found interesting. They really go of their way. To always back cam essentially they. They pointed out that they approved. He was allowed to leave that he took tests the whole time he was gone and they seem in. It's not like he tested positive or anything. They seem to take responsibility. That's somewhere they didn't really understand the protocols or the rules that he was required because they were like we got the test. He was taking the test while he was off site but something happened along the way they messed it up. He's already served two of those days. I guess that he was away and he'll be back on thursday but that's huge. Jones was awesome this weekend. yeah it's neck and neck and cam had a great quarter but mack jones has done everything possible to put as much pressure on cam new and i think they wanna start cam. Newton week one. I think they will start cam. Newton week one because he's played well enough to keep the job they want to see what the running game is like with cam newton and that's definitely an asset. I think mac jones's need might be a little bit of an issue. Look pretty awkward there during part of that game and that's another reason to sit up but there are these joint practices this week and i was wondering are they gonna wanna play mack jones with the starters. Because i kind of want to see that. They haven't really done that they haven't done in practice. It's been a little under the raider. I mean gardner. Menchu's gotten way way more first team reps than mc jones says. It's pretty much cam with the ones mcdonagh's with the two. So now that changes up in a big week leading garbage a worse or herself. If you've got a warrior on your team you gotta make sure. He's getting all those reps. I have a conspiracy theory that these nfl cova rules. if you don't have the g ab Byzantine by design. Make it as hard as possible on these guys and these teams so people have to get the shot. Just the theory back jones for what it's worth also wanting to talk about the vaccine as cam was not weeks ago so who knows. I might be a risky quarterback around. We'll see and who good call in other cova news by the way. Mike frail the coach of the tennessee. Titans he is in The kobe protocol. I believe he tested positive. Able he did. Yeah of course because he's required to as a code so he's away from the team And hopefully we'll be back after minimum. Stay on that designated kobe. La- so it's just you know. Just get ready for it. It's going to happen throughout the season. And he just hope it doesn't take away superstars off the tabby. Hope people. Don't get seriously ill but thankfully at least for the vaccinated People in this country and around the world. You have a much better chance of avoiding serious illness. If you are vaccinated which makes you think maybe you should be vaccinated but let me just move. Nice spun report. This is more like the type of news item. We'd really sink our teeth into about a month ago. But since it's out there we'll talk about it khalil mack. One of the biggest blockbuster trades in the last decade when the raiders sent the former first round. Pick to the bears for a boatload of draft picks. He's had a nice run with chicago..

"Loss of this episode is actually one that is kind of horrifying A sixty four year old heart patient sam allen of monroe has been removed from the transplant list transplant list. For refusing co the kovic vaccine. He has been on a heart transplant list for two and a half years. He's been waiting According to his conditions are mitral valve regurgitation tricuspid valve regurgitation. A arctic valve regurgitation. Aneurysm thoracic in dilated cardiomyopathy. So he has three leaky heart. Valves and during the pandemic alleged pandemic those have made it nearly impossible for him to breathe. So he didn't he was like i cannot breathe. I will not being wearing a mask in. That's when he first started getting trouble from his doctors and things like that. Yeah and this you know with the news today and this will actually came out sooner than a month ago but it's another study finding that the delta infections carry just as much virus load in vaccinated and unvaccinated people. So what is the point of screwing this guy over. Those people should be ashamed of themselves. They should and this guy is worried. Because he he saw some of the documented side effects of the vaccine which include heart problems which include worsening of heart problems. And he's he says. I don't feel safe in. I love that he called it. This he didn't call it a Vaccine he called it experimental gene therapy. So this guy is kind of a hero in his own right But he's worried that if he gets this vaccine the side effects That hurt his heart will kill him and so he doesn't want to do it in so in june and the doctors told him that he would be taken off the list He wrote a letter saying that In in june he wrote it and he said. I understand that choices have repercussions but i did not change the policy. I am most put off not by your decision to remove me from the list thereby removing any opportunity to live my life at a near normal level but by the lack of scientific logic dictates your policy as a person who spent much time in money at this hospital as a heart failure patient. I am being told. I cannot get care for my condition. Unless i take an injection that has shown to cause cardiac problems. It seems that a wise choice would be to not make a panic move in running. It injected with the experimental gene therapy until more is known and the hospital replied as your provider noted. They're happy to reevaluate. Should you change your mind. This is a terrible thing to do to another person. Hopefully there are other doctors other list that he will be able to get on. I don't know how these work imagine being on the list of and a half years as terrible in and that's the thing one of the things i in talking to people i've known there's one have one friend right now who currently has cova and has viral pneumonia. And so she's gone to the doctor and the doctor said no. You can't have steroids for your pneumonia because that'll just make coverted stronger in so they haven't done anything to ease her pain to help her..

I believe so <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> My <Speech_Male> footwork might have to speed <Speech_Male> up compared <Speech_Male> to some guys who have <Speech_Male> the can <Speech_Male> you know. Just get <Speech_Male> on their knees and thrown eighty yards. <Speech_Male> But i know. I can <Speech_Male> make those throws have <Speech_Male> made those throws <SpeakerChange> in. I will <Speech_Male> continue to show that <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> the one thing watching <Speech_Male> you play. I <Speech_Male> noticed out here. <Speech_Male> Just in one practice <Speech_Male> is <Speech_Male> that <Speech_Male> you have no <Speech_Male> problem making <Speech_Male> quick decisions <Speech_Male> and <Speech_Male> that probably comes <Speech_Male> from playing a lot <Speech_Male> at a high level <Speech_Male> in college. <Speech_Male> But <Speech_Male> how important <Speech_Male> is that <Speech_Male> at <SpeakerChange> this level <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> well. I don't know <Speech_Male> from experience but <Speech_Male> from everything that i've <Speech_Male> heard from talking to <Speech_Male> people with experience <Speech_Male> in this league getting the ball <Speech_Music_Male> out of your hands is the biggest. <Speech_Male> The biggest thing <Speech_Male> you can never go <Speech_Male> broke taking a prophet <Speech_Male> and <Speech_Male> getting the ball. <Speech_Male> Out of your hands is <Speech_Male> is really important. Because <Speech_Male> there's some really good pass rushers. <Speech_Male> And <Speech_Male> that's kind of been <Speech_Male> what <SpeakerChange> i've heard and <Silence> just trying to rock with that. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> I'll <Speech_Male> end with this. What <Speech_Male> is it been like <Speech_Male> playing so far <Speech_Male> for frank <Speech_Male> reich. Who <Speech_Male> a lot of <Speech_Male> quarterbacks have looked <Speech_Male> at him and said <Speech_Male> that guy <SpeakerChange> is really helped <Speech_Male> my career. <Speech_Male> It's unbelievable <Speech_Male> I <Speech_Male> feel extremely blessed <Speech_Male> to be in his organization <Speech_Music_Male> with <Speech_Music_Male> coach reichen <Speech_Music_Male> of being in his <Speech_Music_Male> system. "Like hey colts. Maybe you should get a quarterback and goldens back. I can't say that. I'm chris ballard. Well you know in this goes. This goes to north point here. Which is they went a little bit cheaper the quarterback position and they needed to and in doing so took on a risk in a player who's had injury in his career and it. It's not like you're chickens coming home to roost. Because you know injury and for players was always very arbitrary and it's very random and there's no real good way to predict it but this you know this this patient slow team building that chris. Ballard has enjoyed of last couple of years has largely remained injury free for his stars. And that's the thing with patient team building in the league. Is that eventually chip. Start falling the wrong way and ballot. A certainly had chips fall way. The andrew lock retirement all that whatever but injury wise. He's generally escaped unscathed in the excuse me the colts of naval to kind of plot along at their own methodical pace building wise. Now all of a sudden when things were supposed to coalesce you start to catch the injury bug and that's what the league does the league. The injury always you. Know ravages four or five six year. Whatever it is and so it is. It is interesting that ballard and right got extended like a week ago because it means i is still on board with this patient. Team-building plan and that's great and like if you have a plan you believe in trust in it but these are going to be the setbacks as you try to now maximize a winning window in which various leonard is extended in britain with. Its extent gwen. Nelson's about to be the most expensive guard. it's going to become more difficult. I think the big picture. The big picture of how they do things is unimpeachable is a stretch. But i i still the way that i tend to feel about the colts as it. Flies beneath the radar just seismic the events of losing the head coach. He wanted at the eleventh hour. And then having a generational talent franchise quarterback suddenly retire on you and i know that those things are further and further in the rear view mirror at this point but i think almost some of their significance has been lost by how stable they have managed to be so my view is that at least from thirty thousand feet. I don't wanna do it a different way. I think the patients has served them. Well that said in terms of executing that there's kind of two good outcomes of this season right one is that the colts are a good football team with good quarterback play. The other is that they're absolutely terrible and get a good draft. Pick so my question given that you know. We're still talking about injuries. That are taking place honor before. It's thursday august twelfth as we're recording this podcast right now. Big deal not a big deal. Technically medium deal is available. However if you use medium deal you are lame. And we hate our structuring. This if you say you're just kicked off. There's there's actually a trap door under everybody's scenes them. I'm not loving how both you're saying. Meet deals bad. I'm just here quietly to myself. I'd like to be able to use medium. The great you know it's so kevin says you can't use it. I think you can use it. I'm just going to boo you but if you use it like more than once there will be a trap door that takes you into the center. I think there's no way. The colts injuries are not a big deal. Yeah like we just talked about your has to be a big deal like this season changing for a team that we thought had an outside chance of being really good this year. A pretty good a a mainstream chance of being good outside shot at being really good. And i don't see a path towards either as of right now well. So here's here's the the thing that i wanna clarify here. Is it a big deal because it has the possibility to make the colts terrible or is it a big deal because it has a strong possibility to make them mediocre to bad. I both i. I don't know they're they're the ceiling is is down like significantly. They're not gonna win. I don't i mean the only reason that they have any chance of making plus there another division. We'd be like all right. See twenty twenty two colts the only reason that they have any see significance to the nfl playoff race right now is because they play in division where you keep floating damn jaguars. It's yeah i think and and be given the division and given the rest of their roster there too good to take right like. That's basically what i'm getting do. The if if if things keep getting bad they're still too good to tank. I think assuming you get like pretty quickly but if you get twelve weeks out of wentz man like right now. Sam eleanor's is taking our jacob in which is not a good sentence for any cylinder first team. Reps thing was a low for all training camps. It was truly. I read it several times to make sure i understood english. The way i've previously believed i did so. I just think that. By jacob. Easson sam allen back to get ugly quick if whence kind of dithers on the always almost back. We don't bring a veteran in yet. Line like that could get pretty gnarly. What if the colts were able to take their way into a third generational talent courses. My i i susan. The group chat the other day. There accidentally get spencer rattler. Aren't they keep it. In that case this would be good but i just thought they're just not gonna be able to pull it off because the rest of the roster is too good all right ben so lack number one number. We'll get.

"Be kind of patient with went so you know that if he does wait till week three that he'll last the entire season he's not rushing back at all. I don't know anything about how the medicals will check out. But if he can play. I think you get him in because this is his first year with the team as well you know. Now listen if sam allen goes out there and has a. Tom brady light. Debut drew brees got knocked into wine country. Okay i almost. I literally happier. He's okay legit happy. He's okay but tom came in. And kinda like. I think did well right. It was almost immediately. Everybody's like all we got a guy in that can happen. And i think that is the interesting thing about evaluating quarterbacks you have no idea who's gonna stink and who's going to be good. You'd have no clue. There's been so many bus that have been drafted so early and then there's been stars that have been drafted. What one ninety nine is. When tom brady is like who knows if sam allen is gonna be great k who knows. Don't put me in the camp of like. I'm pitching for saint melander here on the state of mind with everything you said about the team for same etlinger that is why i'm excited carson wentz because carson wentz hasn't had a team like that ever brandon the great best offensive line in the league in conversations there in conversations. There's gonna be a lot of people that take offense to that because their offense on his so good and let's just go like top thought. There's probably like a top five that everybody depending upon the style of play and everything like that. There's an offensive lines that have been configured that are fucking great in the colts. Have one of those now. Eric fisher is back week three. That's all these great week four. That's great with seventeen game season or whatever but carson. It feels like he's going to be back a lot earlier than we think. So all the panic that i was potentially feeling and displaying. I think it's all been put away. Quinton nelson's ready to block whoever six days out. Fuck daddy said. I'll need pity. I'm back in six days with this thing. That's good news for the call and i think with carson. Obviously he's much more comfortable being here then. He wasn't philly at the end but with how everything was going like. If he is ready to go you wouldn't want to play etlinger and then have etlinger go out there. And yeah paul exactly throw for four touchdowns and you know it's like oh shit now now is there's not really like a quarterback controversy because they paid carson all this money but it's like you know you even give that like shred of an option that who knows what happens. I think once he's ready to go. It needs to be his team so going have do whatever to win the game. And if it sam etlinger thrown four touchdowns. He's going to have to do that. But that is going to be a scene. At least a talking point rash going to become a talking point but carson skopje back but if he like people say he gets hurt you know and we've got a chance to experience as he didn't get hurt this time by the way he her high school so this wasn't a now injury. This was then injury. His body was actually. We need to heal. He's an healing tom. Right now carson wentz as a healer now not a guy gets injured. He's you know making up for a pass situations in high school when he was once and guy who got injured a lot because the way he plays and how big he is but what if he does get injured again. That's immediately a lot of the philadelphia eagles fans or tweeting. Of course carson going to fuck us over one more time or whatever. We paid them. Everything happens we now. We don't even get a first round. Pick out of it will get a second round pick because he got hurt or whatever and then there was optimism that he was gonna come back and then a bunch of eagles fans who are very negative. I think not just eagles fans are negative. But i think these people in general are very negative. People in philly does have that potential connotation day. Said i'll hit you. Think is the last time he's going to get her and that is kind of what scares me is carson. He so big he's a lumbering guy. Seems to be happy. Seems be athletic. Seems to be fitting in with the team. That team seems to be loving him. Everything's built for him to be successful but some people get unlucky with an unfortunate with injuries in that happens. These one rep for sam etlinger. That he's getting training. Camp are going to be a big fucking deal. Think you'd hope his style of play maybe changes a little bit too now that he does have this good of an offensive line and he's got pieces on the outside. I think in philly. He felt like he had to do everything himself. Who's holding onto the ball way too long scramble and he was just getting punished but i think he realizes here now like oh yeah like you said like this team is ready to win now. I don't have to you know. I don't have to be batman. I can be bruce wayne to quote james. Okay so you think potentially carson. While he was down for that injury for a couple of days her jameh say that quote from drew brees. That's genius take the hockey pads off Michael thomas speaking of jamie's michael thomas light that tweet basically explaining his entire situation And asking like how is this. Michael thomas's for how is michael. Thomas the bad guy in this entire situation. The tweet comes from jordan schultz. Who i'm not harm sent your shorts report. I believe i want to his twitter a lot of good stuff from this guy so i should know more about him at scholtz underscore report michael. Thomas got hurt during week one in garbage time which has been something that a lot of saints fans who backed michael. Thomas have tweeted me and told me that were. Nobody's talking about enough when he got hurt. They could've just need on the ball and knew that thing out but instead he got caught up in some bullshit. It was in garbage. Damn yeah a decision was made for the offense. They could've just. It could have been over whatever a play happened to. Michael thomas got hurt. I did not do the research to go back and see that. But i've gotten this tweet saying similar thing twenty to thirty times i'd say so normally when something happens at a pretty regular basis i go in and check it. I don't have the The will or the time to go back into this entire thing i should. I haven't but shows is reporting. Michael thomas got hurt during week. One garbage time when the saints should have been protecting their investment the medical staff then cleared him several times during the regular season from that same injury and agreed to hold off on surgery. So thomas waited to have surgery and yet he's at fault so last season he got injured in garbage time. I believe it was the end of the game. They could have just needed out. They chose not to for whatever reason he gets something happens. He gets hurt then. Then you remember all season. This was a conversation piece the saints whether it was him not being able to play the ankle injury him coming back and playing him not being dressed because he came back practice into a fight then him.

"To be here okay. Wonderful colleague let me start with you. Can you tell us a little bit about the origin story of downtown boxing gym and what the organization does add already. Been thinking contemplating it in my mind that it was like a lot of young kids in my neighborhood who just hanging hanging out when i was a kid. So you know. I had a pretty rough upbringing. I didn't go to school at like other kids. I mean basically was passed from grade to grade without ever learning how to read or write. I didn't know how to read or write. And so i was like almost thirty years. Oh maybe that same unit. I turned thirty. So i've seen lot of kids is doing the same thing and going through. The same process allows going through a when i went home. Started thinking about what i really wanted to do and i wanted to give back to the community so what i did was i saw build in the idea in my head already went to the guy told him like. Hey can i rent the building. And i brought a couple of kids that i had that i was already trying to semi mentor. And so i started working with those guys in word of mouth spread. People came in hook was that. I'll teach you how to box if you. I do tutoring so armato is going to be books before boxing and people bought into it. And it's okay books before boxing. That's what is going to be. So we're after school program that provides academic support. We have a whole curriculum computer. Coding classes a reading intervention matt intervention health and wellness. A whole host of things for sampling. We just try to fill in the gaps where we could support the kids where they might not get the resources that they need. It's an incredible program and part of what we want to talk about. Today's how companies can engage with nonprofits more successfully. Just can you tell me how to set up a relationship between a company in a nonprofit for success. Yeah well. I actually think. The turning point in the relationship between downtown and salesforce happened during a conversation that kelly had with an executive sam allen where i believe in palley crappy by long but i think that probably said to him you know so there was a group year. They were here through the program. The leading for change. I think it was called at the time Doing great work and helping us think through some. You know culture stuff. She's in for a week. And then you never engage again and And so we've been building ever since. They flew to detroit. Saw the work we were doing really sap in listen to where you know how they can leverage their expertise to help support us right as a nonprofit there is no revenue generation. Sure we met colle- and jessica abou- three years ago. Sam allen contacted us and said that he was working with a really terrific nonprofit and just heard their amazing story so in the process of that we developed a grand narrow tim. O'brien story an entire identity system advertising campaign some ideas for their websites and on and on and on but that first beating that just really stirred our souls and when things sam heard from kelly was that often times corporations and organizations show up to volunteer and then they disappear after month or two kind of never to be seen again right. And that's something. Sam did not want to happen with the salesforce team and the downtown boxing gym. And i think what we did was kind of come in with like a place of creative..

"Here's a few questions that you guys asked about. This that i think is awesome. We took questions on instagram. If you don't follow me there go there right now. I love instagram. It's the place i interact with you. The very most i get to hear from you read a lot of the messages. I don't always get to respond to all of them. But i try to read as many as possible. And i'm so grateful. And i do definitely try to respond to some. So what i would say is to instagram. It's jenny s allen j. e. n. n. i. e. s. as in sam allen and all. Ian so go there. Follow me there. Say hi in the comments and yeah it's awesome to hear from you guys know your real out there the tens of thousands of you that listen every week. I can't believe it all right so so one of the questions. We got off of instagram. I feel like i constantly am disappointing. People it's one of the reasons that i strive. What do i do to let go of living this way. Well i think the first thing is to accept that you are going to disappoint people and that pressure of trying not to disappoint. People is a miserable way to live at the same time. Pleasing people quote people. Pleasing is not all bad. It's when it gets out of order. It's wind that becomes our main priority above pleasing god that's when it becomes idolatry and so wanting the people that you love to feel loved wanting the people that you love to experience your kindness and thoughtfulness and presence. That is a good thing if one of my kids is always ungrateful. I'm not just going to go well. He's disappointing to me and you know he should be that her. But i'm not i mean it's the way it is. People are just ungrateful. No i'm going to instruct them. I'm gonna lovingly say. Hey buddy let's say thank you like. Let me tell you what. I need to hear what other people need to hear in the situation so there are times for loving correction in relationships where we hear the truth of you know what this is continually not thoughtful and i really need this from you but see that is totally different and that such a healthy exchange then this passive aggressive constantly being let down people constantly spiraling because you are letting down people. There's a whole different maturity in conversation when you both come to each other and go. Hey sm- expectations haven't been met. And what would it look like for me to love you better. I want to love you better. How can i do that. And then a healthy conversation you know exists around that. It's not that we aren't to be dependent on each other. We need each other. We all need each other scriptures. Clear that it is not good for man to be alone. That's genesis so out of the gate. We see a very clear message that that us alone is not a good thing so we do need each other but obsessively needing each other obsessively being disappointed with each other because other people are centers is what we're talking about and find your people one of the big opening things i say. Is that three truths that have set me free more than any other. And i've said this here before as number one you will disappoint me number two. I will disappoint you and number. Three god never disappoints us. And that is the key to allowing people to be centers in your life to being comfortable apologizing and dealing with conflict. Because of course we're going to hurt each other because we're centers and just knowing that that we're going to have breakdowns in relationships and that we shouldn't be scared of them you know if if approval becomes your oxygen than you will it to breathe and you will break down or spiral out. Anytime as something goes awry with a relationship that matters to you and that's where codependency can ruin and wreak havoc on your relationship and on your own well being in your own life and what the gospel promises you will always have god. He will always meet your needs and people will let you down but you always have god and as we come to terms with that and accept that grow in that piece that grace there's a freedom to be imperfect and to work things out together and to not just have everything workout perfectly where everybody likes us and we have a bow on top of every issue that we would ever have. No there's not always boasts and things are always workout and we can be okay even if we lose relationships even if people that we think should be there for us forever. Walk out the door. They're still a world where you can live and be okay. And it's because of the love of god and to know that love. How deep and wide and high is to be filled to the fullness of the measure of god. That's what scripture tells us in philippians man. That is what we need to know that love and to be filled with the fullness of the measure of guide and there are days i have felt that there are days i have walked with him in such peace and confidence that he has filled me full and i am overflowing and there are a lot of days that i have not gone to him that i've gone to my circumstances into people my life to meet those needs always breaks down another question. How will living in this freedom. And not striving effect my friendships or my marriage for the better. I would say this is probably the greatest gift you can give the people you love is to let them disappoint you to be quick to admit your own failures and weaknesses and to trust in god to sustain fulfil you when you come into a relationship with that. There are streams of living water flowing through you in and out of you because there is a piece that transcends understanding and you don't go to people thinking what can i get you go to people thinking. What can i give and that is all. Those are the most refreshing people. We all know people like this. That just bless our lives because of their contentment and they want to be a blessing to us. And and that's who we wanna be. We wanna be people full of god and giving god away the people that we love people that we know people. We barely know one of the things. I've worked on this year. In fact my words some of you know this is true of me because you probably seen me somewhere out and i am. It is difficult for me in public spaces to be warm and outgoing and open to people. I shut down. And i've analyze this. I probably should go to counseling for it but it is really genuinely something that is hard for me and so my words this year and yet that is one of the greatest ways to take the gospel to people and to love people well is is to love strangers as we are going and so. I really have like this. My words this year are to love strangers. And so i think part of that comes from a you know. Add at my mind is always somewhere else. And and it's hard for me to be present but a selfish thing no matter what because if i put the person in front of me ahead of myself and i come to them full of god then i have so much to give them in the way of eye contact and questions and care and it's just a place i want to grow. I think i get introverted with strangers. I just i clam up close up and there's probably a lot of reasons for it but it's not the none of them are good enough or provide enough merit for me not to work on this issue in my life. And i think those are the little things that that god's talking about when he says. Love your neighbor as yourself. It's it's show preferential treatment to strangers show preferential treatment to other people that may or may not have anything to give back and it is a place i want to grow my life and i believe it is one of the greatest ways we can show the world the love of god that we have is to give without expecting anything in.
