"A little hunter Biden for you, too. I was just mentioning The Washington Post. Even The Washington Post found it unfathomable. It was too embarrassing. Now they were peddling the Democrat Party line that it was Republicans who really defunded the police. It was a gigantic, enormous lie. We will talk about some of well, I mean, they just like constantly. But last week nobody was teaching critical race theory in schools. Remember that? This week, the head of the teachers union is out bragging about teaching critical race theory in schools just read an article out of Philadelphia about the high school teacher teaching critical race theory in schools. She's a radical in a racist and and a Muslim convert, and and she doesn't like America. And that's kind of the foundation of this whole, you know, Critical theory is a Marxist construct and critical race theory adds the polarizing balkanizing element of race, which the Democrats love to wallow in and push us all into because they are the party of the clan and the Confederacy and Jim Crow and Standing in schoolhouse doors, so naturally they're the ones who are pure at heart on matters of race and an extraordinary thing, But they lie about everything they last week. Nobody's teaching critical race theory this week, they're promoting critical race theory in schools. Last week. There was no crime wave. Today. They're coming out and fighting the crime wave across the country, which just days ago, they said, didn't exist. And then they were saying that it's Republicans who defunded the police and this absurdity became 22 comically false. Or even the frauds at the Washington Post and Glenn Kessler and those clouds that pretend to be fact checkers at Dr Evil's Little Democrat Party press release that we call the Washington Post. But the the Republican National Campaign Committee put out a statement this morning pointing out what the Washington Post is doing because you know it's I don't think it's in the hard copy of the of the post today. It may be, but I don't think it is and CNN. They're not going to talk about it. Nobody, says MSNBC. They're they're going to ban Washington Post reporters from coming on their air. But the Republican National Campaign Committee put out the release this morning. Washington Post Debunks Dems defund The police attacks, I would have brushed up that headline just a little bit. Washington Post gave Democrats three Pinocchios because they can never get four Pinocchios because they're being judged by Democrat Party loyalists by members of the faithful. Alright, uh, them three Pinocchios for falsely claiming it's actually Republicans who are working to defund the police. The Washington Post typed, Um and you know the humiliating themselves again and again, although Republicans all opposed Biden's coronavirus relief package. No one voted to cut comma or defund comma anything now that would seem obvious, But why the shameless and why did it take you guys? Two weeks. To come out with this obvious, embarrassingly, excruciatingly obvious mega lie by the big lie people themselves The Democrats, they they trotted out this Hitler Goebbels Big life thing tried to tag Republicans with it. That should be your next fact. Check at The Washington Post. Who's peddling the big lie? It's obviously the left. It's the Democrat. Everything they pedal is a lie. It's extraordinary. So, the Washington Post continued. We often fact check claims in which huge spending bills are reduced to one cherry picked expense out of thousands. You don't really do it often enough, But I guess on occasion you might. In this case, there's not even a line item, too attached to the White House's claim that Republicans are trying to defund the police. That's that The Washington Post Today there's and honestly and then they do this all the time. Oh, you defunded. You know nuclear weapons and their four Children are going to die. And they always make this stuff up. And the Washington Post always goes along with it, because they're filthy, rotten, corrupt, Just dirty, corrupt, fake journalists. And that's what they do. But the Washington Post because it was just so humiliating to be carrying this ridiculous water for them that they had to say, Listen, you know we live for you all the time. We go along with your absurdities all the time. But this one is so patently ridiculous that we can no longer humiliate ourselves to this degree. By by pretending that there is any truth to this at all. So the Washington Post had to come and and and they actually had to to confess. Confess, I say, but only three Pinocchios because they can't get for their grade on a curve. Mhm. Yeah. Salvador Rizzo type this up on behalf of his party, The Democrat party. Glenn Kessler didn't want to be part of it because he still wants to be invited to the party. So they can, you know, swap wives by putting their car keys and fish balls and Things like that. That's what they do. And the Democrats Cedric Richmond, We played the audio of Cedric Richmond, making this completely absurd claim former Democrat member of the House of Representatives, now a senior adviser to President Obama, and it was weeks ago. Um, at least a week and a half ago, I think two weeks ago He was out on the Sunday shows, he said. Let's talk about who defunded the police when we were in Congress last year, trying to pass an emergency relief bill for cities that were cash strapped because they're Democrats, and they bankrupt everything and laying off police and firefighters. It was Republicans who objected to it, and in fact they didn't get Funding until the American rescue plan and it's just on and on. So look. Republicans are very good at staying on talking points of who says defund the police. But the truth is, they defunded, the police and honestly, even the clowns that clunk and they wear clown makeup and clown outfits. Parachute pants, big red rubber noses. Well, that's how you can tell the Washington Post people when you see him on the subway and stuff they dressed like clowns like those other clan. Oh, you make me laugh. I make you laugh like, um, a clown. And so even Salvador ISO and the clowns at the Washington Post had to concede that that's just such a whopper of her ridiculous lie. That they couldn't even stand up for the Democrats on that one anymore. Completely absurd. Mm hmm. Yes, sir. We have an update on the assassination of the Haitian president as well. He was assassinated in his home of mob of I'm just going to call him leftist because I have no doubt that it's a mob of armed leftist, went in and shot and killed the president of Haiti in his home. Shot and wounded his wife in the middle of the night. And now the Miami Herald has some updated information. The assailants claimed to be agents of the U. S Drug Enforcement Administration. Someone in the Americas in an American accent is heard yelling in English over a megaphone. DEA operation. Everybody stand down, DEA operation Everybody back up, Stand down. Sources told the Miami Herald that the assailants, the assassins, one of whom spoke in English with an American accent, We're not with the D E A..

"Now there's some debate here as to whether it's I called in a frying pan. My best girl thinks it's an iron skillet. You know, like skill. It's like the candy um and iron skillet versus an aluminum frying pan. So there's some debate going on a little Elka bond back there to, um You know yet you show up with a mob with ski masks on and you violently attacked people. You probably wouldn't see a frying pan coming, but You should expect some kind of reaction, I guess. Speaking of cookie, we're going to get to Joe Biden and his big speech and the great great money Give away trillions. More Children's for everything. He does his trillions, more just trillions and trillions and the news video, he says. Yes, trillions more. This will be good, seek lowered and Piven bankrupting democracy, bankrupting capitalism. It is a remarkable world we have here. There's no doubt about it in our country. Is making more than our fair share of contributions to the craziness. You know, we have for Ah, generations now been making more than our fair share of contributions to all kinds of good things. Now we're making more than our fair share of contributions to really bad things. The Democrats have made political violence on Norm Daily Norm and United States American again in North Carolina. Yesterday. Where I yet another man was shot to death by the police. You know, they're more white people shot to death by the place. More white men shot to death by the place every year by a long shot there more unarmed white man shot by the place and killed by the place every year by a long shot. But but pay no attention any of that because the Democrats want to divide the country long lines of race, So they've seized on this statistical anomaly. Really? What do we have last year? I think 18 unarmed African American shot to death by the place and Something like 24 people killed in lightning strikes just to provide a little bit of context there, But we'll get into that because there's some pretty crazy some pretty crazy stuff. And Hunter Biden becoming a professor. It's good to be a Democrat. You know, academia is crazy. They're leading the chart. Correctly. That's why we've got so many violent young people in the streets today because they've they've gone to college and this is what they learned to riot and loot and commit arson and attack the police and to not understand statistics and to not educate oneself. It's what they learn in college. Great stuff like this Texan who says there are six genders. I'll get to that, too, but they're a couple of other things that are kind of just mildly amusing and somewhat interesting and entertaining. The Washington Post with their fact checker. They've got affect checker. You know, Salvador Rizzo in this particular case, they call them red. So they called Ratso Rizzo and the headline is no officials are not handing out. Harris is picture book to migrant kids, their fact checking in on itself. And that they quote Rana McDaniel of the RNC Republican National Committee, saying after learning officials they're handing out Camel hair is his book to migrants and facilities at the border. It's worth asking. Was Hera's paid for these books. Is she profiting from Biden's border crisis say, And then the Washington Post goes on to say no, no, no, This is not at all what happened. Tom Senator Tom Cotton also said there were reports that then they're pictures. You see that show At the swag bag that is given to kids when they illegally entered the United States this swag bag that's given to the by the Democrat Party and the Biden administration. There were photographs that emerged showing that Kamala Harris says somebody else wrote a Children's book for and then the union's buy it by the truckload, and she becomes wealthy off of it without ever having to lift a finger. It's the old racket in Washington, D C has been going on both parties for a long, long time, Usually not Children's books, though usually adult books, and Senator Tom Cotton, said the Biden administration weakness caused by Surge of illegal immigration. That's true. Now they're forcing taxpayers to buy Kamel Harris's book and give it to those illegal Children. Well, now the Washington Post. They want to correct the record here. It turns out that that it's it. They not buying truckloads of them. Are the unions buying truck loaded. Are they putting in all the swag bags? Well, they've got it. They've got a note now from their doctor. I think they've got a New York Post wrote a story on it as well. And it's led to mayhem at the New York Post and and a reporter resigning a reporter resenting because you see, there were the photographs of the camel, a book and the swag bag and all that stuff. And on The Washington Post is very, very upset about this beach. Before she was vice president Harris published a 40 page Children's book that I'm sure she works really hard at it. Titled Superheroes are Everywhere. Is he? Who is it the other day that was writing another superheroes book Whoopi Goldberg about? Yeah, black female superheroes because there's a lot of insecurity going on here. The story traces Harris life experiences. Sure, it doesn't encourage his kids to be good Samaritans right by being socialists or something on day say The Washington Post goes on and on and on. And it says that somebody donated the Kamila Harris book because they wanted to get it out of their house and that somehow the donated book made it into the swag bag. For kids, a swag bag that was being given out to the kids and that somebody took a picture of it. So there was a camel Harris book. Now that zoo not really a big deal. It's not really a big story one way or the other. I mean, how does that compare to, for example, three years of Russian collusion, and the president is because of Hillary Clinton's opposition research. How does it compare to altering documents that the Department of Justice and the FBI to railroad people, you know? How does it report to the media? Varying the hunter Biden stories about, you know, from the laptop in the businesses, and Joe Biden is big guy getting a piece of the action from the Chinese. You know, how does it compare to so many fake stories about Covington Catholic School? And so many stories that aren't covered like Hunter Biden's laptop and all that stuff. But a reporter for The New York Times the Hill reports Excuse me. The New York Post, whose byline appeared on the story suggesting that copies of book by Vice President Harris was given to Children across the U. S Mexican border, has resigned. That's right..

"Come on the fire. Over those bombshell report that the white house was told. Russia was paying bounties to kill. Us troops in afghanistan. What's what's the issue with. That issue is stories fake. It was made up by an afghani. Detainee apparently trying to curry favor with forces who were detaining him by completely making up the story. Now you'd say to yourself if you were a sane person not including the media well doesn't the media double and triple check this stuff. apparently not now it involves donald trump. at least not only. Did they not figure out that this story was a hoax by actually checking it. They just took the intel community. Many of whom hated donald. Trump's word for it that this in fact happened when it was a hoax. Now you may say okay. It was cnn. In that clip. We heard brian stelter wolf blitzer. Nbc news rachel maddow limited. There right. they were the only ones that promoted. This russian bounties on american troops hoax. Now here's a tweet from charlie savage. I believe in new york times either. He says exclusive. Russian spy unit secretly offered bounties to militants in afghanistan for killing american troops. Us intel officials found trump in the white house of known for months but not authorized any response stories. Fake maybe that's why trump didn't authorize a response. Here's charlie savage tweet number two. He says the wall street journal. The washington post have confirmed that reporting stories fake but they confirm the fake story by listening to maybe the exact same intel official who appears to have had a political motive against donald trump rather than giving them an actual story. Because story was fake. All right dan the new york times got taken. Msnbc nbc cnn. george costanza got taken by it. Here's the washington post. What a joke. This is an actual fact checker. I'm not kidding it. The west of us salvador rizzo. He says trump's four. Pinocchio interview on russian bounties remember the interview at axios jonathan swan where he said the swan who seemed puzzled by the whole thing by the way hey. Am we didn't act on that because we're not sure it's actually true and love to watch where track checking trump. What an idiot you see the hilarity of this right now. The hilarity of this the tragic hilarity of this. You have these not bad lunatic. Lying frauds at cnn. The washington post the new york times msnbc constantly promoting fake false stories every day while simultaneously trying to get us removed from the internet for misinformation. Do you not see what's going on here. Were the only ones who got caught into this web of lies now. Here are the losers at the daily beast believe me. I've been a victim of them. Dan bongino dropped from. At an article yesterday comes out. Maybe the daily beast reporting and i was inaccurate. He was actually offered a million and a half dollars to stay there interview. That sounds like a different story but no the daily beast of the truth have never kind of you know. That's not a symbiotic relationship right there. Here's the daily beast with four headlines about the russian bouncing struck about these totally made up rushing about these mess is all the trump scandals rolled into one. Here's an x one. Russia offered afghan militants bounties for killing. Us soldiers by the way it says bombshell underneath. Here's madeline charbonneau rushing. Bounties led to us troops deaths. Intelligence officials believe interesting. Here's an x one. They've really got their cliques. Out of this sucker here daily beast again whereas the next wonder that's it was that it was only three or four. There's another there's gotta be another one of those where where rushing but oh that's an dover folks seriously don't do not cut that out at why sometimes we don't cut that out. There's there's an actual learning moment here. The headlines are so similar. I'm reading on the prompter i on my life. I thought that was the same headline doe. Cut that out series. It will ruin the show that is perfect. I'm not missing was not scripted. I just read this. The almost the same headlights. Different article russian bounties for killing americans go back five years. Ex-taliban taliban claims. I thought it was the same piece. But now we find out the daily beast who has a shady at best relationship with the truth. They had to publish this piece yesterday. Daily beast april fifteen. Twenty twenty one. Us intel walks back claim russians. Put these on. American troops by the dreadful asta wins sub saying spencer ackerman and adam rawnsley all have issues with the facts folks. This segment gives me no joy. Because i have worked with in my prior line of work. Some really talented and very dedicated intelligence community professionals who do an amazing job for very little money at all and they're extremely dangerous conditions. Can i can. I tell you something. I share a story. I'm waiting for you to respond. Which is ridiculous. Because you obviously can't i applied for the cia. When i was in the secret service. If i ever told the story before i don't know if i'm allowed to but i'm gonna tell it anyway i did. I'm not going to tell you how the process went down. "24 7 News Center. Will there ever be a stimulus bill to help the US economy and Americans during the Corona virus pandemic today, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says there is a compromise being written, but it would be up to the president to see it's signed into law before Election Day. Pelosi telling MSNBC that it appears the White House is ready to embrace science in a substantial way, she says, and Colorado officials are hoping some snow this weekend will help them put out wildfires that have been moving across that state. Strong winds today will likely caused the fires to continue burning. Two of the largest wildfires in that state's history are both still active, causing evacuations and burning almost 400,000 acres. Both candidates made some weighty statements in last night's final presidential debate. This is former vice President Joe Biden, saying this about separated Children at the border. They cannot find over 500 of sets of those parents and those kids air alone. Nowhere to go nowhere to go. It's criminal, and the president didn't dispute that number. He did give this figure about Cove in 19 recovery 99.9. Of young people recover 99% of people recover, which has been disputed by the medical community. As of today, and back with us to bring all the claims back to Earth is Washington Post fact, checker, Salvador Rizzo, who joins us on the coma news line. Good afternoon. Great to be with you. Let's start with former vice President Joe Biden in general. How would you characterize the accuracy of what he said last night? Joe Biden is, you know, not the most precise politician. He mixes up his number, he embellishes. But there's no comparison for example, you know, Joe Biden said that during the Obama administration, you know they were talking about criminal justice reform and at one point in the debate, and so, he said during the Obama administration 38,000 people were released from federal prison. The number's actually 19,000. But what happened? He likely confused some numbers that were in his head. 36,000. People applied for pardons or commutations and Obama granted 1900. But actual releases from prison were 19,000. So he was far off. But you can see you know there are actual numbers and you know the suit there that all you know. Heather back to something, whereas Trump is likely to make something up or hugely exaggerate or fabricate something. So then what would you say The president's biggest misstep or false claim would have been last night. I continue to think, as I have for much of the year that the The most egregious false claim is a line that he has that he's protecting preexisting conditions. How on earth are you protecting them? If you're in the Supreme Court, you know, actively asking them to strike them down and you have no plan to replace him. So I sound like a broken record because I'm always writing about it when I hear him, say it, But it is a big deal and he is just, you know, I mean, at this point, I think it's safe to say he's just lying about one of the bigger claims that former vice president Biden made last night was that the president paid 50 times Maurin Chinese taxes than in US taxes and had the secret Chinese bank account. What if the facts show about the exchange? They had their I'm not. I'm not going to back for his 50 times. You know, the math doesn't quite add up. You know what we know from The New York Times is reporting. Is that Donald Trump paid something like $750 and federal taxes and income taxes. You know, for the last few years on DH, one of his companies According also to the Times paid something like $158,000 in Chinese taxes from 2013 to 2015 now at the debate when this came up Trump said that he believed that the account was closed. This Chinese bank account was closed, but that's not what his lawyers said to the New York kinds, he said the account was still open but dormant. The president said that the US is energy independent under his administration. Is he correct in that he is not correct. You know the irony here. You know the thing that Really catches a fact. Checkers goat is that you know there's a lot to brag about, you know, under Trump when it comes to energy, you know, a net energy exporter for the first time since 1953. But to Trump back just isn't enough. And so, he says, We're energy independent. That's just not true. We still import around nine million barrels of oil a day. And then he also said, You know these countries where we have to go to war to secure the oil Now that in itself is sort of a No misdirection. But 11% of the oil we import comes from Persian Gulf countries. That's his own administration putting up data, so it's flat out false. It was a long debate lots of claims from both sides and it's well worth the read online at washingtonpost dot com. The whole fact check from Salvador Rizzo, Salvador. Thanks very much. Thank you. Come on news time. 12 20 it's hell. "News station. KOMO News with ELISA Jaffe. I'm Rick Fanseyes editing the news this afternoon. Jeremy Greater It looks like nursing home residents are going to get a potential Corona virus vaccine at no charge. The Trump Administration announced a deal today with a pair of pharmacy chains to provide a vaccine to those at long term Coop. Care facilities for free. The partnership is with CVS and Walgreens. But a vaccine isn't even available yet. But the president brought up the deal during a campaign event today, saying seniors would be the first in line for the vaccine. A drug of a different kind. War veterans with PTSD, terminally ill patients and other suffering from anxiety are backing a ballot measure that would legalize controlled use in Oregon of psilocybin mushrooms. Opponents say decriminalization will lead to an increase in acceptability of dangerous drugs. Despite Washington's history of safe, secure vote by mail elections, some voters are still concerned more from Como's Jeff Pooja. Secretary of state, Kim Wyman has been fielding a lot of questions about this year's election. Whyman is a Republican, but many in her own party say voting by mail or through drop boxes will lead to widespread voter fraud. That is simply not the case. But what woman is more concerned about is voter intimidation were having a lot of chatter on social media that there's going to be voter intimidation. We have groups that are saying that they're going to go out and monitor drop boxes. She says. Security around those drop boxes is tight, and if necessary, law enforcement will be called in if someone is tampering with the boxes Or intimidating voters. Jeff Pooja will come. Oh news. I'm Bill O'Neill in one quarter on one channel President Donald Trump on the other side of the ring on another channel, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden to Town halls. One big study. In contrast, last night Fact checker Salvador Rizzo is taking a closer look for the Washington Post and joins us now on the coma news line. Salvador is tough as it may have been to flip back and forth. You think these two were talking about two very different countries. It was just, you know, the mother of all split screen. I mean from tone to substance to the way that they engaged with the voters and responded to their questions or did not respond to their questions. It was like watching two different countries were totally right. And you know, it must be said, you know, President Trump delivered a litany of falsehood, you know, sparred with the moderator Savannah Guthrie of NBC when she was trying to fact check in and point out. "You know, given what's been going on in the last Two days. I kind of wanna Hell ate a couple of different pieces that are from the first section on which is that Trump. The man on the 1st 1 is a personal favorite of mine and is not connected to what's happening. In their new zit All Trump has a habit of talking about Cincinnati every time he's in Cincinnati on, you know, the first time I heard him say that they was like Trump synonymous with New York developer Why is he talking about growing up in society? And so he often exaggerates saying, you know that he worked there. You lived there for a long time. You spent a big summer there. And essentially, what happened is his father had bought on a development there while he was in high school, and he would occasionally go with his father to do some menial tasks around that development. But you know his questions that he's sort of like really knows the city and it's a Cincinnati guy. I just deeply misleading. The other thing that I wanted Helen into some excitement goes hand in hand, and that is probably seeing the president say that he's done. You know more for the African American community and that any other president in his time on he also has a habit of saying that he is the least racist person ever. And one thing that we did in the shop very sort of run through a series of sort of That very most difference statement and I think you know it was where I had earlier and it was late last year when you know, he invoked the sort of go back home. Choke speaking before Democratic minority congressmen and right then who's you know? Ari Beckett, about a daughter essentially came out and said, Hey, this is, you know, years old road race is true. But this was certainly not the first or the last time that Trump has waited in Teo hot water when it comes straight. Meg Kelly, columnist Fact checker at The Washington Post and I think Foul, wrote the third chapter. Right. So I worked the third, the fourth and the six chapter and the appendix. And there's a common theme that I think runs through all four of these pieces of the book, and that is, you know the psychology of Donald Trump when he is at his most pugnacious or combative Right, because Chapter three is all about, you know the fosters that he tells about his perceived in Rio political and bright people like Robert Mueller and Pelosi, John McCain, Jim Comey. Chapter four is you know the stuff that he tells people in his base, often during his very voice first rallies where the number of false claims it's just like any it'sjust like nothing you have ever seen before. From a politician. We've actually measured the rallies and I'll get to that in a minute. On, you know they They are a spectacle of politics like we have never seen and they don't do Well. When you stretched measure how truthful the president being on then I had Chapter six, which is immigration. And that is the category that President Trump most often out of our 37,000 clients. I haven't checked recently, but immigration consistently is the top category for So in a lot of ways, like feel like I went to the deepest, darkest jungles on lived to tell about it, so I could do it in America in the country, and that's why I think You know, the book is a great public service, as some have noted, because, like I said, you forget a lot. You know, you forget that Donald Trump has been, you know, smearing Joe Scarborough since 2017. Right. I had totally forgotten about that. Until two weeks ago. Three weeks ago, the president started up all over again, and unfortunately, I mean, that's just such a disgusting and, you know, sort of vicious lie that is based on absolutely nothing, but we didn't think that, you know we didn't have the wherewithal to remember it when we were writing the book it so it's not in the book because it's 2017 is from ages ago in some plan. Hey, the only only he had only vaguely suggested that once in 2017 and now it's all over the place on his Twitter and stop talking about it. He was just on Fox News radio this morning. I just want to know there is nothing that this conspiracy theory The National Enquirer would not touch it. We went that today from the field with ease. So that tells you something, because there will touch a lot of things that the national enquire Salvador Rizzo washingtonpost factor. So let me just give you an example of the kind of you know factions that we would do for Chapter three, which is the chapter on his enemies and You know, before impeachment before Corona virus before the riots, the Russia investigation took up a lot of oxygen in D. C certainly around the country, you know, in terms of news coverage since the campaign ended, basically, we had, you know a constant drip of stories. On DNA. Trump is very insensitive about it. But he has said so many false and misleading things about the Russia investigation. That is hard to take any of these latter day complaints seriously, when they're spinning these documents coming on this part of court cases into something that they're not on the record for Trump is so checkered So, for example, about Robert Mueller, Marine veteran, you know, long time director of the FBI guy who's been respected by both parties for a long time, and it's been a lot of public service in his life. You know Donald Trump Witches Hammer Robert Bowler on a near daily basis on Twitter in public remarks with false and misleading claims. He would allege that Robert Mueller and he had a business dispute going back several years and therefore Robert Miller had a conflict of interest and you know that would disqualify him from investigating the Trump campaign. But what Trump describes a conflict of interest. His own aides, including Steve Bannon describes Eddy and ridiculous. Robert Mueller was once a member of the Trump Golf Club in Virginia..

"So it's just it's a it's a mix. It's a wishlist, it's a broad statement of priorities. We don't actually know what it would look like when you know, the details of policy making, you know, come up and Bill starts to be drafted. Now. The president says that it would permanently. Eliminate all planes cars cows oil gas and the military. You're the fact checker if any legislation was created from the green new deal proposal would any of those things happen. Certainly not the military cows airplanes cars, you know, some things are engrained into society. You know for lawmakers to be able to get rid of them, even if they wanted to I certainly it's not in the resolution itself right now. So no one is really talking about that there's been some confusion because you know, some supporting materials have been, you know, causing some confusion and had been misinterpreted. But the fact is you know, none of that is in the offing. There's a good question what these goals would mean for the oil industry, right because the green new deal calls for, you know, zero emissions all clean renewable energy. And so, you know, by extension that does mean getting rid of, you know, sources like oil energy. But we'll see I mean again, it comes down to legislation and this is yet not everything in the green new deal as you've mentioned has to do with pollution and energy. Why was medical leave retirement included in this wishlist, you know? That's the new deal part of the green near deal. Right. I mean. Mix old new deal and the green new deal precisely. So the Democrats say this is a two for a lot of things in there. But you know, you can describe it as a twofer in that there's all sorts of economic and social guarantees healthcare higher education and jobs being well and also retirement security and some other things like medical leave. What you mentioned, and then there's all the environmental priorities that are in there as well. Thanks for setting a straight Salvador Rizzo, the facts check from the Washington Post..

Check out the confident wallet a personal finance podcast series by T. Rowe price and the Washington Post brain studio find it wherever you get your podcasts. They look president of the United States. Tuesday night. President Trump addressed the nation in our annual tradition where the president speaks from the house chamber Trump was met with these split. Congress facing a democratic majority house of representatives for the first time in his presidency in his nearly one and a half hour speech. The president made his case to America that the state of our union is strong. And in the process, he laid out big promises, he requested legislation from congress, and he meets a major claims about both his administration's accomplishments and the threats facing our country. One particular moment called attention to the partisan tensions in the room. When Trump turned quickly from boast about the economy to claim congressional dysfunction, the Likud omic miracle is taking place in the United States. And the only thing that can stop it or fully wars, politics or. Or ridiculous partisan investigations. He took that jab at congressional Democrats one step further if there is going to be peace and legislation there cannot be war and investigation. It just doesn't work that way he warned that everyday Americans may suffer from oversight investigations into his administration. Trump however, did lean pretty heavily at times on a message of bipartisan unity. He even offered a moment of seemingly goodwill towards Democrats when he acknowledged the record number of winning serving in congress, don't sit yet like this. And exactly one century after congress passed the constitutional amendment giving women the right to vote. We also have more women serving in congress than at any time before. Not to them with met with these standing ovation from the sea of democratic congresswomen dressed in white honoring the Suffragettes to secured women's right to vote and as seat of the unions often go there was a moment that offered some news much work remains to be done. But my relationship with Kim Jong on is a good one German Kim, and I will meet again on February twenty seventh and twenty eighth in Vietnam. Trump revealed a date for his second summit with Kim Jong UN he didn't mention North Korea's human rights abuses. Peppered between each of these notable moments though, were dozens of claims of America's victories and growth under Trump's leadership. Which of those claims were accurate. We'll break it down for you. We're fact checking Trump state of the union address. This is can he do that a podcast that explores the powers and limitations of the American presidency? I'm Alison Michael's? When America's political leaders speak. Our team of Washington Post fact, checkers listen closely and two of those fact checkers Salvador Rizzo, sell Reseau. Reseau and Meg Kelly. Hi, Kelly relisting last night as Trump spoke about immigration, the economy and foreign policy. Okay. So before we get into the specifics of what Trump said last night in his state of the union fact, checking major political speeches is essentially this part of our DNA now at the Washington Post. Can you guys weigh in a little bit on why we do this? So we do this because you know, the duty of the press is to inform voters so that they can make the best decisions possible for themselves. Right. And when you have the president of the United States, you know, our database a false and misleading claims for Trump is up to eight thousand four hundred and fifty eight since he's been president when you have such a serial prevaricate, or, you know, leading the government and giving all kinds of phony statistics and making all sorts of false claims about major geopolitical issues that has just an obvious and important and potentially, you know, kind of risky effect. Right. And to be clear we've done this. This fact checking at the Washington Post predates, President Trump and even into today. Fact checks many other people beyond the president. That's right. Where are equal. Opportunity fact checkers, and we go as far back as I think two thousand eleven is regular thing. But it's been on and off since two thousand seven okay, then let's get into some of the claims that Trump made last night starting with claims around immigration and the wall. This is what we were all listening for it's coming on the heels of a thirty five day government, shutdown shutdown over Trump's refusal to initial refusal to concede over money for a border wall. The lawless state of our southern border is a threat to the safety security and financial wellbeing of all America. We have a moral duty to create an immigration system that protects the lives in jobs of our citizens. This is he makes this argument repeatedly before the state of the union and last night in the state of the union at there is a national crisis at the border. Is there a crisis at the border? So a crisis is an inflection point like a critical point in time at which something is about to really really get awful. So I I just point to like, okay. What's the best metric to assess? Whether there's a crisis. Okay. So you look at southwest border apprehensions. This is the number of people detained every year along the US Mexico border in the year two thousand it was one point six million in the year two thousand seventeen it was three hundred thousand that's more than eighty percent declining. Right. What Trump never talks about is that migration from Mexico has really sort of subsided in the last few years in the last decade or so whereas immigrants from Central America. Now, that's the big. Phenomenon they're coming up in waves because they're fleeing violence poverty in their home countries. And so when the president talks about, you know, a crisis, there's an aspect

"Melvilletrust dot org and on Twitter at melvilletrust showers are likely this morning, and we'll see a chance of showers this afternoon. We're expecting highs from the upper fifties to low sixties along with southerly winds between ten and twenty five miles per hour. It's now six minutes past nine welcome to this morning's forum. I'm Michael Krasny. We're gonna be talking this hour about President Trump's Oval Office speech on the border wall last night. But first President Trump tweeted earlier today that he is cutting off federal money to fight California wildfires claiming the money is being wasted. And we're joined now by K acuity, politics and government reporter Marie so law goes, welcome marisha. Hey, Michael, thanks for having me. Glad to have you. Well, this is a tweet, and it's a threat. Or is it actually something that's an operation. Well, unclear as often happens with the president's sort of early morning tweets, you know, this came out cake, you eighty many of us have been reaching out to FEMA and two other officials doesn't state and federal government trying to get a hold on. Whether this is actually something that's happening or not. We haven't gotten any confirmation kick. You news has actually chosen not to report on this until we have a little more clear understanding, and I think the context is important because we've seen this happened before we've seen the president make sort of statements threatening California was funding around emergencies. And I think it's important to note that in the past at least, it's never there's never been realized I've been fed some always stepped up whether it was the Oroville dam crisis. Whether it's the fires that have swept the state over the last two years. And so I think that you know, one thing we're trying to do in the media is responsible and figure out what this means. Of course, it's the president. But you know, it's it's a pretty vague statement. He's saying I ordered to send no more money unless they get their act together on forest management. So that's pretty similar to what he said in the past. And again, those threats didn't materialize talking again about improper forest management and cash outlay in the billions because of that. But there's also and I'd like to get your read on this. There's also apparently some movement now of not only California under a new governor newsome's leadership, but also along with Oregon and Washington to essentially asked for a doubling federal funding to manage forest lands. Yeah. And it's unclear if if the timing of this is related to that. I was at the news conference yesterday up in this year foothills in the tunnel colefax where the new governor Gavin Newsom stood alongside everyone from the head of Cal fire and the state CHP and emergency services and the head of the national guard to talk about the need. For a you know, the state to do more obviously intimate initiatives that he was rolling out. But also for this appeal to the federal government, and what these governors of three western states wrote is that, you know, we've all put tens of millions of dollars in recent years into forest house and in contrast, the US for service has seen its budget cut by more than two billion since the president took office a couple of years ago. And so I think that you know, there's there's a lot of also just like factual things that I think are important to to clarify here. One of which is that most of the fires. We've seen have not been forest. Fires. I mean, clearly, we do need better forest management. I think that's something everyone across the political spectrum agrees with. But if you look at what happened in paradise with the campfire in cinema Napa county with the Allison tabs fires. These did start in areas where there's a wildland urban interface, but they quickly spread and became. I'm really more suburban and urban blazes. And so I think that you know, there's. A lot of just sort of confusion in the president put out statements like this that are totally based on what we're seeing on the ground here in California. We'll just remember tweeted that he was going to be pulling out of Syria. We'd be pulling out of Syria, and that seemed to change over a few days. But I appreciate very much your reporting. We will obviously continue to follow this story. And that's where he's a Lagos Cutie politics and government reporter. Thank you Maria. Well, let me bring Ron Elving on Ron Elving courses senior editor and correspondent on the Washington desk of NPR news and run. What do you make out of this life latest tweet before we go to the president's speech last night? It does seem to be very much in that category. That you were describing a moment ago. The president has also in recent days threatened to shut the border with Mexico closed down all transactions between the two countries. Cut down shut down all transportation between the two countries eastern that before he's never actually done it. Virtually no one thinks he could possibly be serious about that considering it's a six hundred billion dollars a year relationship. Not to mention the millions of people who would be involved, and as a result, the president just likes to tweet things like this. He likes to say that he is going to shut down a border or pull our troops out of a country. And then the people around him have to scramble for days weeks to either contain the damage or deny that it's even happening in the first place. I wanna talk with you run in some detail about last night's speech. But before I do I'm going to go to Salvador Rizzo who is reporting. For the fat. And and for the fact checker, which is in the Washington Post himself that are good to have you back with us on forum. Welcome great to be with you. Let's begin by talking about some of the facts from last night's speech with you. I mean, you're calling him in the post said from the first sentence, the president had to be challenged in terms of reliability or credibility talking about this being security crisis at the southern border. Yes. So the speech I got off in Iraq flight, in fact, checkers, you know, how they would certainly we saw it as a piece of the puzzle with President Trump since he's been a candidate. He has promoted the false. Construct that immigration leads to more crime. You know, any reputable research that you know, you might come across as the opposite. You know, legal and illegal immigration tends to lower crime rates where where those individuals settle in the United States. And so from the very top of the speech, the president described the situation along the US Mexico border is a security crisis. And he said that this was the time to act that it was an inflection point that he he profiled, you know, a few instances a few select cases of illegal immigrants who committed violent gory crimes, and he did it in detail how he's talking about drugs and overdose deaths in the United States, and it's all one big ball of misleading and carefully constructed deception. You know, if if you're wondering, you know, what a security crisis looks like at the border. I would point everyone to the year two thousand. When there were one point six million apprehensions of people trying to cross a legally in fiscal year, two thousand eighteen the number was below four hundred thousand and there has been twenty years of steady decline in the number border apprehensions. So the the idea that this is a new and urgent and, you know, dangerous crisis at the border is is just as just a false contract. There is however humanitarian crisis with all these families trying to come in. And we'll talk with Julie small later in this hour about that. K Kuti's criminal Justice and immigration team. But I want to talk with you a little bit more about misstatements and well lies for that matter. I mean when the president talks, for example, but thousands of people coming into legal immigrants trying to enter the country. I think you could say hundred safely at this point. But also, you mentioned drugs, and you've got the president talking about all these drugs coming through. And the fact of the matter is he's totally ignoring the fact that most of these drugs are coming through legal entry points. That's right. And so the irony here is that the proposal that is being discussed in congress that has Republican and democrat support which significantly enhance Puerto agents ability to enter dicked, you know, smugglers and drugs and all that kind of it would provide new technology training and resources for beefed up. You know introduction of those drugs at Lille personality. A wall would not necessarily stop the flow of commerce. You know, all these trucks and trailers and individuals and vans. It's still be crossing. They would you know, the opportunity to smuggle drugs inside those vehicles would still be there. The DA drug enforcement agency reports every year that only a very small percentage of the drugs that are interdicted on the border are not at ports of entry are trying to our people are trying to smuggle them through. You know, I mean while they're crossing somewhere along the wilderness. One thing that the president didn't say that he'd been saying right up to the speech was that. There are terrorists coming in. He seemed to obviate that. And the fact of matter is at the State Department says there's no credible evidence of that. But there was an outright lie in the speech last night. A couple of them. What are the perhaps the biggest ones are most obvious ones was the fact that somehow Mexico is paying for the new trade deal with NAFTA for this wall as he promised in his campaign Mexico with pay for it. This is nonsense. Mexico's not paying and the trade deal. Doesn't mean really that Mexico is putting forth money. The trade deal isn't even ratified yet. And you're right. I mean, it is nonsense. That's not how trade deals for trade works. There's no accounting. There's no Bank account where money is deposited by Mexican consumers are individuals for the purpose of building a wall. It's all based on the theory, you know, which is not entirely divorced from reality. But it's just, you know, very devoted the theory that the trade deal with spur economic activity in the United States, and the added tax revenue collected by the government from that activity. You know, could be re purpose at all. But it's all in terms of you know, I mean, there are so many things that affect GDP trade and tax revenue that you can't rely on on. You know, you don't you don't even know what kind of revenue you'll be getting at the deal isn't ratified, and it's not how it works. And at the end of the day, you still need an appropriation from congress to be able to build stuff with the money that you're collecting from taxes. What about his putting forth the arguments Democrats really want a steel barrier? Who said our in record is wanting is still very instead of a concrete one that was sort of the car ball that we all that pricked all of our ears last night as we were listening there. There is no democrat who's on record saying, you know, if you do steel wall instead will happily I zero not even not even one of them. And so this this proposal has been floated by the White House, including by Mick Mulvaney. The acting chief of staff and presumably it's come up in the discussions that top officials in the Trump administration are having with Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and other Democrats, but it's wrong to say that Democrats are requesting that there's no evidence of that. And they deny it. So there's much more we could pick apart here..

"Wanna see us keep doing that. Slow rolling us for thirty five years now on this. And they're planning on doing it again. Now, all they need is for the president to buckle and reopen the government with getting nothing in exchange, and then they can start discussing with the Democrats how we're going to secure the border which we've been doing since tip O'Neill was president. I think Halley's comet has come by twice since we started talking about this. I'm embellishing slightly, and and the Democrats still want to slow roll again. Good morning. Good morning and welcome. Hi, enjoy the big speech last night, and the Democrats and the glassy eyed loon nanny Pelosi with her doa is an expanded pupils where the pupils any police officers are medical professionals out there. Just the same thing that I saw with those pupils on Nancy Pelosi and she's looking right into bright lights, and somehow people's were dilated like she was on crystal meth herself. Maybe that's the maybe that's the secret. I'm not sure, but it was something they contributed nothing. Even the news media even McGee. Gorilla on CNN and others had to confess that. Nanny, and Chuck really didn't contribute much to the discussion at all. They they they didn't seem to be into it. Either the president laid out facts. And it was it was teleprompter Trump. It wasn't free form Trump. But let's get Trump out on the campaign trail outta out on the campaign. It is a permanent campaign. Like Howard Dean said they've inflicted the permanent campaign on us. I guess we just have to deal with that. Because there's no way out. No way out. No way out. It is. It's an amazing time to be alive. These these people in the democrat party and the news media, but I repeat myself really something really something to behold. I'd like to know what you thought about it all and what you think about it going forward. And with that said, you know what I wanna do? I want to start with some of the ridiculous. Let's go to sound byte number fifteen want to do some of those ridiculous. Fact, check CNN fake fact checker guy because this was an embarrassment and and John king because now the suggest as well at been the suggestion all the president just needs to come around to the Democrats position. Just just stop all this just be a democrat. Okay. And then the media will stop dogging you and haranguing you harassing you. And making all these outrageous Clinton just come around to Pelosi's position. And then the media. Well, this is what they say. But it's a lie. It's a trick. It's Charlie Brown in the football because when you come around to their position, and they say. You're banned in your base. Your best is going to abandon you you betrayed your central campaign promise near done with your base your over in twenty twenty. So the moment the president capitulates and goes over to the democrat position that becomes the media's new narrative I've seen it again. And again, it's a playbook thing, it's obvious. It's predictable. But listen, the the president gave a speech it was it was. In terms of substance. It was humdinger Dinger in terms of style. It was President Trump on the teleprompter. It's not as most natural place, Barack Obama assassinated Americans overseas, and and he kept a kill list and the Oval Office and use the IRS against his political enemies. And and and they lied a lot of the intelligence community and the FBI and the Justice department against their political enemies to, but he could read a teleprompter couldn't he was. He was held at a teleprompter. He sure was let's go to CNN after the after the speech and after the democrat response number fifteen Don lemon was on with a democrat by the name of Maria, Elena, Salinas, Maria, Elena, Salinas, and and Don lemon and this other democrat to angry hate-filled anti-trump Democrats posing as journalists are analysts or something. We're on a cable channel last night. I think they call it CNN. They played a soundbite. President trump. And and then they and then they made their comments about it. It was something to watch. They they're trying to affect check the president. They were trying to do it in real time on CNN. They didn't check anything in real time. And after the fact when the after the speech, they went to affect check and the so-called fact checks where we're like a satire was like the Senator Night Live version of fact checks President Trump, Don lemon, Maria, Elena, Salinas. Last month twenty thousand migrant children who are illegally brought into the United States a dramatic increase. These children are used as human pawns by vicious coyotes and ruthless gangs. One in three women are sexually assaulted on the dangerous trek up through Mexico women. Our children are the biggest victims by far of our broken system. This is the tragic reality of illegal immigration on our southern border. This is the cycle of human suffering to I am determined to end. So that's the president tell you about real things twenty thousand migrants children. He called them the coyotes the human trafficking, the sexual assaults. The women the children fair the worst and all of this. And look the Democrats want to preserve this as the status quo. This is the democrat position we must keep. The drugs flowing into the country the heroin the feno the cocaine the marijuana must continue to flip. We must twenty thousand children twenty thousand children, and then they come and so well, but many of them are being brought by their parents, or at least one parent, or at least a guardian or at least a chaperone like they won the dating game or something. And they're off on a vacation. And that's fine with the Democrats. That's good with the Democrats because I don't care about humanity. I mean, the left has massacred one hundred million people in one hundred years, they they obviously don't care about humanity. They send your check to Planned Parenthood and. Don, lemon jumped in with his pal Maria, Elena, Salinas, and I just there's so pathetic some realistic give the facts because a mess created the border as a result of the detention of the is a result of children and families the change in the asylum rules that is a problem of the president's own creation. Yeah. That's right. That's right. That's all Trump's fault. Trump Trump is responsible. He's been president for two years, and it's all his fault. That's journalism at CNN. That's donlon. He's an award winning journalist says this is what passes for journalism on CNN and in America. And then you'll be surprised to learn that standing next to Maria Elena Salinas agrees wholeheartedly because there's no disagreement on CNN. It is this was lie after lie after lie. Yeah. It was lie after lie after lie. That's it is it was lie after lie after lie. And that's why the Washington Post began with the first misleading statement in President Trump's Oval Office address Tuesday night came in the first sentence. Trump addressed the Washington Post rights, Trump addressing a national television audience from behind his desk from when Obama was here roic. There was music. There were trumpets there were fly overs. It was it was glorious. See? He spoke words that dropped like droplet. Gold. He warned security crisis at the southern border. And the Washington Post says even though the number of people caught trying to cross illegally is near twenty year. Lows is at first of all I question that as fact I need to fact check that. Secondly, they lead with not a falsehood or ally. But something that's misleading. And then this is their I fact check in their big story that there is security crisis at the southern border the Washington Post position as the child sex. Slavery is not a crisis trafficking in women is not a crisis. They the abuse of children's not a crisis. The sexual assaults are not a crisis the heroin flowing by the ton. Not a crisis the crystal meth cocaine not a crisis. This is all fine. And this is Salvador Rizzo, a defender of the status quo and a puppy for the democrat party and their positions because the Washington Post is not really a news organization at all. Now, let's go to the CNN fake checks because this was kind of laugh out loud. And and we've got Alexandria Casio Cortes as well. This was this was good stuff. Daniel Dale is a Canadian and CNN and he's a fake. Journalists is liberal is at Trump hitter. He was on CNN last night with John king and McGee was young with mcgilla gorilla was that mcgilla. It wasn't wasn't mcgilla was one of the one of the fake set CNN. Daniel Dale is a Canadian journalist, and and they introduced to my keys. The most fantastical fact checker the world has ever known. He's the oracle effect checking is Daniel Dell. And and and they took a quote from President Trump. Do you have the President Trump or President Trump talked about the walls and politicians President Trump talked about walls and politicians some have suggested a barrier is immoral. Then why do wealthy politicians build walls fences gates around their homes? They don't build walls because they hate the people on the outside. But because they love the people on the inside. Interesting interesting. So that's what the president said. Well, why do wealthy politicians build walls? Well, gosh because they wanna keep the dirty people out as really the correct answer. That's the truth. Now. Then let's go to the fake fact checker Daniel Dale on CNN responding to that. Now, did you hear the president mentioned Barack Obama there? No, no. The president didn't mention Barack Obama there. He said, why do wealthy politicians build walls around their homes? Right. And and I can Dianne Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi, many palatial residences, very very wealthy people. Even Paul Ryan caught a raft of stuff for building a big wall fence around his house in Wisconsin. And lots of millionaires millionaires now watch how Daniel Dale defensively reflexively jumps to the defense of Barack Obama whose name was not even mentioned there Daniel Dell and this is the fact check to things, and I have both things for you. And he was he took umbrage he bristled at the suggestion that wealthy politicians built walls around their homes, and again without mentioning Obama, Daniel del sniffling groveling little sick of that is democrat party Schill jumps to the defense of Obama, even though Bama had not been mentioned. He also implicitly referred again to the Obamas house. Imbued listen with a powerful people who build walls and gains outside their homes. Why do they do? Yes. Of course, still have significant secret service protection, they do have some fencing as their neighbors. Do the giant wall around their house or compound as Trump calls it? He wasn't talking about Obama. He didn't mention Obama. I don't know why you're leaping to the defense of Obama when Obama was not insulted or harmed or even mentioned in any way. But that's what these sniffling groveling little cultists do instead of journalism instead of fact, but this is the first fact that he checked this is the charlatanism that passes for journalism and passes for fetching. And you know, I laughed out loud. When I saw these these clowns playing this crap because it was clear that they had no facts. To take issue with all of the facts where correct and accurate, and that the president had crossed all of the T's and dotted all the is the numbers were checked the facts were checked and CNN with their team of fact, checkers fact, checking in real time, we're able to come up with something. The president didn't say the president didn't say anything about Obama. And and did Daniel Dale then say, of course, Paul Ryan, Nancy Pelosi and Dianne Feinstein. No, it's just Obama got and there's mcgilla gorilla whose fathers a democrat governors brothers. A democrat governor pay no attention to any of that. And and and by the way, I I live close to the Obamas not real close because their houses eight and a half million dollars before all the improvements. But I after a while I could walk to the Obamas house. They live in the shadow of the main mosque in Washington DC as the Washington Post has never reported and in the shadow of the mosque where the president's eight and a half million dollars. Which he bought from Joe Lockhart? Who was the White House spokesman for Bill Clinton who has now a C N N commentator who is a former CNN employees. I know because I know Joe Lockhart and I took Joe Lockhart job at CNN on the assignment desk when Joe Lockhart left his job at CNN to go work for the Democrats just by the way, but I know the Obamas house in the shadow of the mosque, and oh, there's no wallet awfully defense about something that wasn't said, and they built a big iron fence with a brick wall base and brick wall columns around the house, and you don't need that much. Because as he said there is heavy secret service protection around his house, including the entire street in front of US House being blocked off with giant concrete jersey, barriers secret service, uniformed division. Cars parked crosswise. At either end of the street like you're entering veto Corleones compound guys with shotguns, big attack..

"At all goes, it doesn't go unchallenged praised it. It's it's worship today. They love this stuff. Good morning and welcome last night. The president delivered a big speech took a nation from the Oval Office and the resolute desk CNN was standing by ready. To fact, check in real time in real time during the speech there are going to check that was a little rating stunt because it's all a television show, just a horrible horrible television show and the president spoke on CNN. I watched CNN I tuned in. I got suckered into their fake promos because there are selling cans of stuff over there. And I bought one last night. I watch to watch him. Fact, check CNN says see them fact check the president real time. And they didn't. There was nothing. They didn't during the speech. There is nothing. And then they brought on some silly little man from Canada afterward who had the most ridiculous flailing about just a comical fact check and the Washington Post today to what they're fake check. What our disgrace, our news media is. And I mean, I have the Washington Post piece excuse me. That's that's the fact check. I it right here. Fact checking President Trump's Oval Office address on immigration. It's like a satire of effect check their their absurd, and they don't even know their so lost in their insane little bubble that they they don't know reality from from the fantasy world in which they live extraordinary self last night. The president it was prompt her Trump, right? It was teleprompter. Trump instead of off the cuff Trump alive in front of an audience Trump. It was very restrained. Hey, no. That the news media over there. They're like the cartoon wolf licking their chops. Waiting to fact, check we're gonna affect check everything that's wrong and this silly little Canadian on CNN afterward. Hey said well when he said that politicians have walls around their house. He was clearly referencing Obama at because they all have to rush to the aid of Obama because they're such sick offense such but kissers such worshipers of their their their their lost to deity. I guess they're like reminded me of the made in defending Damien thorn in the woman who threw herself off the roof for the new surrounded neck shouting. It's all for you Damien. It's all for you know, he couldn't have been talking about the wall around Nancy, Pelosi's Houser, Diane Feinstein's, many houses are or even Paul Ryan's house where he built all around us and was mocked couldn't be tighter immediately. Russia's the defensive Obama who wasn't even mentioned who wasn't even cited. And certainly isn't the only one with a wall around his house, and that was one of his big fact checks this defect. Check something Trump didn't say something did he actually didn't? He didn't mention Obama. What is talking about the wall around the house or at any other time, and these people are just such an embarrassment? And then the the other great fact check and that CNN. Had his other presidents talking about child trafficking at the border. Well, he didn't provide any statistics about child trafficking at the border by the president should have stopped and put up an e sold at a shirt and brought out a pointer like Jimmy Carter and gone through all of that. And then it could be like a forty five minute speech instead of a nine minute speech to the nation. There's such frauds? There's such Charlotte's president. I'll be this is all that CNN pathetically. Had fake fact check last night, and it is then they just embarrassed themselves humiliated themselves. The president delivered a teleprompter speech. He's not comfortable with the teleprompter because he doesn't do a lot of teleprompter. But but he did a solid job last night. Yeoman's job nailed all of the facts got a lot of points across. And the news media is contesting the most absurd things just the most ridiculous things. The Washington Post begins with a comical lead fact checking President Trump's Oval Office address. On immigration, Salvador Rizzo. Democrat DNC Representative typist from the girls steno pool at the DNC. He typed up the first misleading statement now, MS note the word misleading. This is the lead of the story here note that word misleading not false but misleading so it's not. So let's start with this. They they didn't find anything false and they're leading with misleading K misleading. The first misleading statement in President Trump's Oval Office address Thursday night came in the first sentence. And and, you know, the first misleading statement in your story came in the first sentence, coincidentally Trump addressing a national television audience from behind his desk warned of quote a security crisis at the southern border end quote. Even though the number of people caught trying to cross illegally is near a twenty year lows. There's no crisis never mind the heroin the Fenton all the cocaine the reef for the human sex trafficking. The women the sexual assaults that children that's not a crisis. That's the status quo and Salvador Rizzo as a dutiful steno from the DNC pretending to be a reporter at the Washington Post as these you know, all of that. That's not a crisis pay. No attention. There's nothing to see here. And this is the theme of the media the status quo must be defended at all costs because the Democrats say so John king on CNN last night along with this Canadian silly little person. So well, you know, really there there are some problems with the Republicans and oughta come around to the democrat point of view because the solution is to come around to the democrat point of view. And that's what the. Media is pushing for that's what CNN is pushing for because they're corrupt. They're not biased. They're they're. They're not inept they're corrupt their ethically corrupt. They're morally bankrupt their journalistically corrupt. The these are not journalists there, they're Democrats with key pads. And and that's and that's that. I'd like to know how you oh. And then and then you got Nancy. I'm Chuck Nancy and shut came out. And this was a lot of fun as you know, the thing is going around. Now, they look like the twins in the shining with their shoulders pushed together looking weird Nancy Pelosi's pupils dilated to the point where you couldn't see retinas anymore anymore. And and she's standing there like sucking food out from between her teeth and went Chuck has talking just looking like a weirdo. Looked like Mr. burns from the Simpsons. And and and there they are pushed together with one podium, and they're sharing it. And and trying to look comfortable together on the piece in the post today. It's just a glowing piece about how wonderful their have four anti Trump pieces on the front page. You turn the page and a glowing piece about how wonderful Schulkin Nancy are. Now, they get along great and boy they finish finish each other's sentences. And and they just assume their dating just based on what I read there. And it was the this hang on. I still have a Washington poster. Just to one more time because once was not enough, absolutely extraordinary. So the fact checkers have decided that he was talking about Obama's house when he said wall, even though he didn't say Obama and Obama's not the only one with a wall around his house. And and that the fact checker on CNN also seemed to suggest that there really is no child trafficking on the border. Then to the extent there is issued worry about it. That's an acceptable level the status quo of child abuse on the border is fine. The number of dead is fine. The number of sexual assaults is fine. Pay. No attention to the heroin coming cross by the ton pay. No attention to the Fenton all the cocaine coming across by the ton never mind. The fact that seventy thousand Americans died of drug overdoses last year. It was two thousand seventeen I think the number, but it's I guess do not in eighteen also more than we lost in the Vietnam where I was talking about this yesterday. The president included a lot of these points in his speech. Last night some of the stats I used yesterday. And and and who is it. The AP is contesting some of the drug stats. Jacker, Dan, ackroyd and trading places on wasn't heroin PCP down the Associated Press. And all of those tons are not heroin a lot of it is other opioids unfit all said, they're fine with that they're fine with the the tons of sentinel, the tons of heroin that the Washington Post CNN the rest of their defenders of the saddest grow as long as the status quo as well. It's being supported by the Democratic Party. And that's what they do. And they will they will throw themselves in front of trains to defend Barack Obama, even when Barack Obama isn't mentioned and Nancy Pelosi looked like a glassy eyed loon yesterday, she looked like draw Bambi from boys life for eyes were so big. And she had these these pans for pupils like olive oil. And and when when Schumer was speaking she looked like she was like, the stepford speaker of the house or something this stepford speaker. Well, see. She was so slathered in lotion doubtless like six hundred dollars an ounce lotion secret to living forever. She's like the Greek goddess ISIS, and and she's got this lotion Oliver face. I was afraid that whatever circuit boards was gonna short out. It was almost disturbing to watch your Sanger. I actually round rewound on the DVR while shimmer was speaking just to focus on my best girl, and I could just focus on Nancy Pelosi standing there in silence. And it was it was creepy and hilarious at the same time. Hilarious and creepy. So fact checks and all that good stuff. Obviously if that's all that CNN had to fake fact check, then the president didn't deviate from the facts they want to contend that. There is no crisis at the southern border. That's the Washington Post lead their latest. There's no crisis at the southern border that the the child trafficking, the sex trafficking, drug smuggling, the violations of law that tens of thousands showing up at our border looking for a gift basket. That's just fine. That's what the news media's position is because that's what the democrat party's position as the democrat party's position is that all these evils all of the drugs that trafficking human child, sex trafficking that these are all perfectly acceptable levels, and we should do nothing. In fact, they had what's her name on CNN? Also who pretends to be a Republic. When asked about says, well, look, the drug dealers are just gonna find another way to get the drugs in any way, which is to just sort of shrug and throw up your hands and say, well what we're not gonna do anything about it. Because the drugs are going to get in any way. And besides it's our sons and our boyfriends that are doing the drugs, and they want them. And so the democrat position is defend the status quo at all costs. That's the democrat party's position that all of the levels of heroin Fenton, all cocaine coming in of women being abused acceptable levels of children being trafficked acceptable levels. That's all fine. They don't wanna lift a finger digit to impede any of that. They are unwilling to act on behalf of the American people because they're too busy being in a whizzing match with the president United States because of politics, and you can burn in hell as far as they're concerned your children. Can die of overdoses as far as they're concerned cremate them don't use up real estate because they've got a new green agenda. It's the green new deal, and they don't want us up space when you die of drug overdose. Just don't call them. Because don't you know, who they are?.

"They say it's not the most effective way to stop things. They say there isn't a crisis on the border except for the crisis of the these families seeking asylum, and they turn themselves in they're not trying to sneak in. So a wall wouldn't really help with that is what they're saying. I have to imagine that this is going to get a lot tougher later this week when the first pay period happens when people don't get their paychecks. And maybe a lot more people will start walking off the job. Yeah. And you know, a very small sample size. But I've been hearing from my friends who work in the federal government. Asking me what's going to happen that they're very worried about getting their paychecks about not getting back pay for the time. They've been furloughed. The the, you know, the concern is there. The morale problems are real. One more thing real quick Tam Justice Ruth, Bader Ginsburg today missed the oral arguments in the supreme court for the first time since she became a Justice in nineteen Ninety-three, she's recovering from cancer surgery. What more do we know? That that is that is essentially what we know. And and it was, you know, the the first time that she's missed arguments, which is a pretty remarkable thing. But you know, all reports were that that this was caught early the the cancer that is pure. What has correspondent hammer key? Thank you. Well, let's take a look at claims made on Fox News Sunday by White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders about the need for a border wall. She insisted repeatedly that thousands of suspected terrorists come into the US through the southern border host. Chris Wallace was disbelieving. Let's listen roughly nearly four thousand known or suspected terrorists come into our country illegally. And we know that are most vulnerable point of entry is this. I didn't know if you're going to use it. But I studied up on this, do, you know, where those four thousand people come where they're captured the airports, not always terrible certainly department says there hasn't been any terrorists that they found coming across the air land, and it's spicy. It's all of the above. But President Trump his homeland security secretary cures to Nielsen and other administration officials have also been repeating this claim using it to bolster their push for a border wall. What's true? Let's go to the Washington Post fact, checker Salvador Rizzo. Sal, welcome great to be with you. We should say you give this claim three Pinocchio, which is not good. It means not true unpack it where did this claim start. But sit based on well, first of all depending on how they phrase it. We've also given it four Panetta's in. This instance, it was three because there was just a sliver of it that was based in fat. But as Chris Wallace rightly pointed out and insisted during this interview on Sunday, the Trump administration has not broken down whether any of those four thousand. People technically three thousand seven hundred and fifty five and fiscal year twenty seventeen whether any of them tried to enter the US through the southern border. And so that's the key issue. Because this talking point is in service of you know, the argument for the border wall. But the fact that they can't say whether any of these suspected or no terrorists are, you know, trying to cross the southern border is very telling I think, well, where do we get that number three thousand seven hundred and fifty five. So that includes anyone who has known or suspected ties to terrorism who tries to enter through any port of entry and so- airports ports of entry. There are maritime ports of entry. And there are land ports of entry on the Canadian and Mexican borders. And so what you really need. If this is going to be a talking point in service of the wall is a breakdown of how many of these individuals are trying to cross the border. There are other pieces of information that have been released by the Trump administer. Nation that indicate that no terrorists have gained access to the United States this on border to be clear when you and Chris Wallace and everyone else says it's largely through airports. It's not even airports on US soil. It's foreign airports. It's around the world in in almost every case. These people are interdicted before they even board these flights to the United States. You're right. So you're saying that the US officials have not been able to point to any terrorists trying to cross the border into the US..
