El Salvador Proposes Digital Securities Bill

"We're going to talk about El Salvador. Now, amidst everything that's been going on in the last two weeks. I found myself thinking probably about every other day, what's going on in El Salvador. And so I'm happy that today we get to talk about it. So El Salvador's national assembly is considering a draft bill to regulate digital securities, which is an indication that the country will move forward with its plans to issue Bitcoin backed bonds. You'll remember in March, the country put a pause on these Bitcoin back bonds to Bill was presented by the minister of economy, Maria Louisa hayam, breve, and seeks to establish a national digital assets commission to oversee the regulation of digital asset issuers and service providers Wendy, I'm going to kick this one off to you first. What do you think about El Salvador moving ahead with these bonds? I think that it is absolutely amazing. And I don't want to get into the way that he governs his country. But I really do want to focus on how El Salvador is using Bitcoin as a tool to essentially gain their power back. This is why Bitcoin was created. It was created for the people by the people. And yes, even though president buki is this, I guess that he calls himself the CEO of El Salvador or whatever it is is a joke. I think it is important to note that we're seeing a country that got a lot of slack globally, essentially take their power back and tell people until a lot of these organizations, these big global organizations, we don't need you. We don't need your help. We don't want your help. We are fine on our own. And essentially, they're taking their power back and they're creating their own monetary policy and they're creating their own laws and regulations for all of this stuff. So I think it's absolutely amazing. And it just goes to show that we're starting to see a shift in the way a lot of different countries portray themselves and how they're using Bitcoin to essentially help their people in a positive aspect. So again, 100% here for it. I root for the underdogs as always.

How Democrats Ruin Cities?

"All right, ladies and gentlemen, we got to keep talking about this election. I hope you show up to vote. Don't be that person that thinks that only you are only one vote and your vote don't count. You better show your butt up and vote. Especially if you believe in freedom and you believe in the men and women who died so you can have the right to vote. Especially people of color, I say, especially people of color because a lot of people always cry about black people not having opportunities, their words systemic things that were against black people a hundred years ago. However, now you have an opportunity to vote when people before you didn't have that opportunity. They were suppressed. They fought to have an equal right to vote. So you better get off your narrow behind and go to that polling vote. And if you don't know how to vote 'cause you haven't done a research, just vote Republican and then next election you can do your research. Because Democrats are literally trying to ruin our country. There was a clip that I saw. This guy was actually on Tucker Carlson. And he was the president of El Salvador. Right, right? Yeah. President of El Salvador, I think, and he had made mention that these Democrats, what they're doing to the cities, they're not that dumb. They're literally strategically ruining cities.

Former Secretary of Veterans Affairs Robert Wilkie Discusses the Raid

"Let's start with the idea. You said something very interesting before the mics went live with regards to the raid on the president's home. Give us just your reaction as a person with the highest level of clearances whose worked in intelligence for the military in two different services been a cabinet member. We haven't spoken since the raid your initial reaction. Well, let me start with the observation of someone who knows how the left works. And that is the current president of El Salvador, bukele. He issued a statement after he heard about the raid and said that if he had done that, to the communist opposition, The New York Times would have been on his doorstep and the State Department would have been demanding his resignation. And he would have had his nation called a banana republic. His ambassador to D.C. would have been called on to the carpet. Absolutely. That's what we are witnessing. And it's fascinating listening to mister Brennan. And I don't even think misses Gus hall voted for Gus hall, but he did. No one did more. To damage the reputation of the Central Intelligence Agency. In its history, than mister Brennan. We're really just one statement that he made that he accused the president of trees actions. He accused the president of treasonous actions, but he was part and parcel. Of the promotion of the Russian collusion hoax.

Addressing the Urgent Border Crisis With Todd Bensman

"All right, let's connect with Todd bensman. Are you there, Todd? Here, thanks for having me. All right, we were struggling there with the technology, but we reached out to you finally. We need an update. We're talking to the author of Jihad, the covert border war. Todd, what's the latest? Talk to us about this caravan, what the Mexican government is or is not doing and the status of title 42? Sure. Well, let's start with the actual border. A judge out of Louisiana as we know stayed the pushback policy kept it in place, the Biden administration responded to that by poking so many exemptions in it that it might as well be gone. The exemptions that they poked in it are for South Americans, middle easterners, Asians, people from all over the world from any country in the world, except for Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador and Mexico. But everybody else gets to the border and within 72 hours they have legal documents and they're on buses, Greyhound and charter buses and American Airlines flights. They pay the tickets to any city in the country. So it gets a document, gets a plane ticket, and they get to choose where they go, correct? That's correct. And that operation is going on 7 days a week, all day long. Right now, all along the Texas border with those nationalities, so it's important to know that those are the nationalities that are getting exempted from 42 and as a result, this caravan that has formed this massive caravan that poor was made up almost entirely of guess what. Those nationalities.

"salvador" Discussed on What Bitcoin Did

"Going to be there's a little risk of them, but I think it feels like they're playing the Bitcoin continues to go up in price game that every cycle will continue to see a multiple X increase. That's similar to how sailor structured his capital structure. And so they did a couple of rounds in micro strategy. And the first rounds were convertible. So they're super low interest rates, but then they can dilute the equity. And then I believe the final Bond round they did was basically I think it was something like 6%, basically it was a bond that had a pretty high yield. And they expectation was, you know, if Bitcoin goes up, substantially over the next 5 to 7 years in more than compensate for a 6% cost. And their lockup here, like their duration of those bods is it varies a little bit, but it was like 5 to 7 years. And then they switched to issuing equity in order to buy more Bitcoin. So the fact that El Salvador is kind of doing a similar timeline, I think makes a lot of sense. A lot of Bitcoin investors say, for example, that kind of 5 years is probably an ideal timeline. Where you have high probability of getting returns out of it, historically, anyone who invested for four years made money usually less, but that's if you invest for three or four years, you made money. Even if you bought it at major tops, for example, now that's not one of those classic disclaimers the past is no guarantee of the future. So there's no guaranteed has to do that for the next four or 5 years. But overall, because he's walking in that longer term debt, it is a smart thesis if someone's super high conviction on Bitcoin, which obviously El Salvador's president is. So with that 5 year lockup or referring specifically to sailor, does he, will he have to sell the Bitcoin at some point to pay the bondholders? Not necessarily. So if so, if Bitcoin stays, if it goes up or stays roughly where it is, the most likely bonds would be refinanced. So in the bonds, come do you just issue another bond offering to cover them? The only time where so it gets messy is if let's say Bitcoin does go down quite a bit. Over 5 years. So some sort of catastrophic outcome for Bitcoin. And Bitcoin is down in price. And the market is spooked by that and doesn't really want to issue doesn't really want to finance those bonds anymore. It doesn't want to refinance them..

"You have to navigate this and say what's right and what's wrong. You know, me and Danny had like a long talk about this because my first interview was very much like hey, friendly interview, and then the second one, I asked and tougher questions. And I'm not going to lie. I was fucking nervous with questions I had written down. But I think you have to be allowed to ask them. And it was not pre screened or anything. No pre screened. No pre screened. They allow me and the answer everything, you know, like a true but you took every question, and then afterwards, we shook hands, and we talked about it. We did discuss a third interview. I don't know if it happened. But we did this. Interesting. This is actually the thing. I don't know if you know this, but in our people are a little bit pissed off about this. I've had two. He doesn't speak to salvadorian journalists, but he speaks to international journalists now while you in particular, I guess. Yeah, I mean, I know his mind twice he did Tucker Carlson. Right. Fuck you, Tucker, I got two. No, but I didn't know he did that, by the way. Oh, that's interesting. But yeah, no, when the Bitcoin law was announced, so first of all, he announced it with a magazine that Bitcoin 2021 conference in Miami in English. And that for a lot of salvadorians felt like a betrayal. You know, he was and still is very popular in El Salvador, but he had this image and name or people saw him as sort of someone who stood up for the poor in the country, essentially. And then all of a sudden on a sunny day in June, there he is in a conference in Miami, speaking in a foreign language announcing a new legal tender for their country, which was never discussed in El Salvador itself. And after us, you know, he was hanging out on Twitter spaces and he changed his bio to English and a lot of people in El Salvador and he was doing an interview with you and a lot of people in El Salvador did see that sort of, you know, they felt a bit betrayed, like in all of a sudden now he's turning his back and he's becoming friends with all these rich international Bitcoin investors rather than deplore salvadorians who were supposed to. Stand up. I could spend a different way and say, yeah. I have nothing they're right. I'm just saying, this is a sentiment that's that I heard a couple of times when I was there. But he's bringing is obviously not your fault. Just to be clear, I'm not putting it like that. No, but he's bringing an international spotlight on El Salvador and leading to investment tourism. And he knows the opportunities like the money to grow Salvador is going to come from outside of El Salvador into it..

How would you feel about going to the slide with me. I'll pay for you to go on the slide and bringing me back and then stopping somewhere like quick just to get a bite to eat. Because i'm concerned that i'm not. There's not a good signal on the volcano. And i wanna make sure i have a right back and i wanna make sure i get a video and cool shots as well. He was so excited. You guys. he was so grateful he was like. Oh my god yes yes yes like. I've been wanting to go on the slide and not only that but this like you know girls asking me to go by the way he's married and there was no like anything but he was just so excited like a kid in a literal candy store and like so grateful and i still ended up like the uber. And talking about all salvador showing the slide his slide and as well as mine and The uber ride back would have been five dollars. But i also ended up giving him like an extra basically. "Bitcoin payments faster and cheaper than they usually are which culminated in the announcement at a conference in miami. A couple of months ago. I will send to congress a bill that will make bitcoin a legal tender in the seller in the short term this will generally jobs and help provide financial inclusion. Two thousand hundred formal economy president is fairly young. he's not kind of part of the entrenched political system that has historically been there and he has kind of tried to present himself to people at least online as someone who is very young and innovative and very open a skull. Most anyone would they think about the future and they will say something along the lines of nuclear war playmate catastrophe hunger pestilence the death of life within took care of the beautiful idea that we create our own future that we as humanity can do almost anything that we imagine. There have been concerns as to his consolidation of power. The removal of some people in the government has a lot of backlash but he really has tried to present himself as someone who is very future looking for the people of el salvador abode. We are trying to rescue this idea and it started designer for country for the future. Using the best thing is the makes us we are well user sensibility to find the best examples of ideas from history and around the world. I believe it's going to be one of these ideas. And so his his look toward this was something that really kind of went along with that and it seems like it was sort of a singular decision from him to just based on how it was announced. Yeah so this was announced without any kind of input from the people of el salvador. Many of whom oppose having bitcoin as national currency and this was announced by him not even in el salvador and later proposed as bill in congress whose party he already had a majority in and so there was a feeling that this is something that was kind of handed down some him in passed by him in his party. Really without a ton of voter input it. Of course there were american companies involved as well. Can you tell us a little bit about sort of the infrastructure that is underpinning el salvador's new bitcoin system. Yeah so on the lightning network. That is what is underpinning. The system bitcoin payments historically have been very expensive can cost two dollars to even seven dollars to send a bitcoin transaction which has kind of always made it not really feasible for uses payment system when. You're not going to buy a cup of coffee if it's going to cost you three dollars or four dollars just execute the transaction and so one of the main companies kind of working alongside them in. This is the lightning network which is basically just kind of side network to bitcoin that just makes the transactions much cheaper to happen and what about how people actually use it. Yeah so there's an app that the government was working set up called chievo which is slang for cool. And it's the wallet that is basically free for el salvadorians to us to incentivize people to use it. The government said that if you sign up to use specific wallet chievo then. We'll give you thirty dollar credit and bitcoin and you can kind of use that to get started. There's other bitcoin wallets that do exist That are in use in el salvador. Some people have voiced concerns at using government one because it could give them access to their data under transactions and some people have voiced concerns over having that much information directly in their hands and so some people did sign up for it to get thirty dollars credit and some are still opting to use other competitors. Well let's go back to how salvadorians or feeling about all this might understanding is that they don't feel great. No i mean bodily most salvadorans against this seventy eighty percent of the people who have been pulled. You know say that. They don't really support having bitcoin. As national currency part of the other concern is that you know unless a business is legitimately deprived at the technology to be able to accept bitcoin that they can't deny someone from paying in it so all businesses have to accept it. Unless you know they don't have internet access or something to that degree and so that's dubbed some business owners long way a lot of the rules over. Well how are you going to hold this on your balance. She would sustain for reporting taxes. What does this mean for counting like. There's there's a bunch of questions that have yet to be answered and so for some people it's made them very nervous others are looking at this though was potentially a way to get new customers. Who may be do wanna use bitcoin. V located as potentially having lower fees than visa or mastercard or just a way to get away from cash which was still very much a part of el salvador economy and so some some people are looking favorably but there has been a lot of pushback. What about consumers. I guess you have to have a smartphone in order to do this yet. You need to have a smartphone. I mean by and large most people do but there's definitely a portion of salvadorans who don't have access to a phone and so there there does wind up being a set of three conditions to being able to use bitcoin or other virtual currencies. The government has set up kiosks to like people transfer money into bitcoin out of bitcoin at various city centers. Face twenty to have a smartphone for that as well and so some of it does rely on some level of technological efficiency of being able to use a smartphone but also just like having access to it to begin with so before the law went into effect. You wrote a story for the journal. Was a headline. El salvador gets ready for a risky bitcoin experiment. What exactly makes this such a big gamble for the country. This this is untested. This is truly an experiment. No other country has made. Bitcoin legal tender and this makes it risky because bitcoin itself is very volatile on tuesday when el salvador launched bitcoin as one of its currencies. You had bitcoin cash almost ten percent and so bitcoin is prone to this volatility. People who are veterans in crypto are pretty used to it. But if you're someone who is hoping to use that bitcoin to buy a car or go for vat or something else. Those fluctuations can be very important in. You know what you wind up paying for something and what your money is than worse than any given moment you know i. I think we take for granted the stability of the dollar and the euro and other currencies. Because they're backed by central governments. Bitcoin isn't and so it's inherently much more risky. The other concerns with el salvador are the fact that the international monetary fund hasn't exactly been jumping up and down with us you know. They were negotiations with el salvador for an aid package. And if you're looking at risks to an economy. Adoption of a volatile cryptocurrency is one that winds up being on inspiring and so there's been warnings from the imf against crypto currency. The world. bank isn't endorsing this either. And there's been a bunch of concerns as to. I guess what that means for the economic future of el salvador. If all of a sudden they wind up pulling off this bitcoin and it follows very very sharply. And it doesn't recover you know that's a major drawdown of funds on the other hand it could wind up being very successful and bitcoin could go to one hundred thousand or whatever we just don't know boo. Kelly seems to know that this is risky. He's encouraged victorians to convert bitcoin payments into dollars as soon as they get them to prevent losing money due to the volatility of the cryptocurrency. So i guess at that point. What's the point in pushing people to make bitcoin payments to begin with the vowed reason from getting bitcoin payments in the first place. Is that when you get away from. Us dollar at least kelly has argued the fees to transfer bitcoin with a specific el salvador. Rollout are much lower than they would be with. Something like western union where you would send money orders between people in much faster and so the argument is that at least from that initial sending you wind up wiping out a lot of the fees and you just wind up making it much faster and so that's kind of been the argument for using it but color has also when when bitcoin crashed on tuesday he was also kind of encouraging people to buy the dip as it's called ripped out which is basically you know when bitcoin falls wants something else falls. He tweeted that they had just bought more. Bitcoin el salvador's government in that in current. Some other people to do so as well and so even though he's encouraging people to transfer their money as soon as possible. There's still some of the kind of underlying trudeau mentality of you know. Let's try and get those gains because the idea is if you buy it when it's cheaper it just goes up so we've seen especially in the united states in. Recent months cryptocurrencies becoming more accessible more mainstream. How does the decision to make bitcoin. Legal tender and el salvador impact way that lawmakers and regulators and crypto advocates and other countries. Ding about cryptocurrency. Honestly everyone is watching this to see what happens. The knock on effects villi aren't known A few legislators in panama have considered introducing legislation to make bitcoin legal tender there. A couple of other latin american countries had some work considerations. I think bodily most people seem to be holding off until there's some idea of how it winds up going in el salvador and it's still very early days for that and then there's el salvador's relationship with the us Bitcoin being one national currency now. But the us dollar is the other el salvador gets those us dollars through correspondent banks that get money from the fed and then send it over and so you know we still don't know how the relationship between those banks are going to be affected by el salvador and banks now holding bitcoin. And so what does this mean for access. Us dollars will the us wind up carrying these are all things that really just haven't been figured out yet and so the broader knock on effects of how other countries view.

"The cologne was taken out of circulation and ceased to be used for those that don't understand bitcoin. They don't understand why this time it will actually be different. I think that is very understandable. Those who want naib kelly to be hurt by passing. The bitcoin law are fanning. These worries even though they realized that there isn't real danger. So that's a perspective from on the ground. Although not from an el salvadoran from someone who kind of sits in the in between i said a few months ago for me that the main thing with keller was that simply put i was concerned with some of these signs that we were showing. But he wasn't an autocrat yet and frankly if that was his intention he made a strange choice in choosing an uncontrollable money. If that's the direction he wanted to go. But i also said that all would really matter is what we saw over the months to come some. That hasn't been great last week. Mario gomez and outspoken critic of the bitcoin law was briefly detained without a warrant and had a cell phone seized by police quote. There is a deterioration. In the freedom of the press and freedom of expression said auto flora's a lawyer representing mr gomez. It's worrying you can't deny it. What's more alex glad. Stein points to this threat. From the executive director of the americas division of human rights. Watch he tweets. Do kelly dismantles democratic institutions like chavez but at a much more alarming rate thread chavez managed to control the supreme court of justice in two thousand and four or five years after assuming the presidency boo kelly manage to control the supreme court in twenty twenty one two years after assuming the presidency chavez managed to bypass the limits of presidential reelection. Two thousand nine ten years after assuming presidency who kelly and twenty twenty one two years after assuming presidency chavez succeeded in removing hundreds of judges from lower courts in two thousand six seven years after assuming the presidency kellyanne twenty twenty one two years after assuming the presidency. What's next if we are guided by the history of venezuela censorship of the press restrictions on civil society total impunity for human rights violations arrests of opponents. Electoral fraud is the international community. Going to wait and see if kelly follows this trend now as with anything there is much much more context the argument that the kelly administration has made about some of these removals of judges that they were corrupt and certainly the last twenty years of el salvador and politics aren't a paragon but as we've seen over and over and over process matters. I think we need to be careful about uncritical cheerleading..

"In numerous ways including for currency transparency and regulatory processes while the government did approach us for assistance on bitcoin. This is not something. The world bank can support given the environmental and transparency shortcomings. So this is self-evidently b. s. The energy thing is an easy patsy in the situation. But it's the addition of the transparency critique that makes us rings hollow because unchain ledger is massively more transparent than a traditional fiat system and given that it's clearly them just saying yeah. No thanks. we're not touching this at the same time. The imf also said that it saw quote macroeconomic financial and legal issues with bitcoin proposal. In july they went a little farther publishing a blog post that while not specifically mentioning el salvador was pretty clearly aimed at them. Crypto assets national currency. A step too here. Their main critiques. The most direct cost of widespread adoption of a crypto assets such as bitcoin is to macroeconomic stability if goods and services were priced in both a real currency and crypto asset households and businesses would spend significant time and resources choosing which money to hold as opposed to engaging in productive activities similarly government revenues would be exposed to exchange rate risk if taxes were quoted in advance in crypto asset while expenditures remain mostly in the local currency or vice versa. Also monetary policy would lose bite. Central banks cannot set interest rates on a foreign currency usually when a country adopts a foreign currency as its own. It imports the credibility of the foreign monetary policy and hope to bring its economy and interest rates in line with the foreign business cycle..

"What's going on guys. It is tuesday september seventh. And that means it's my birthday but it also means. It's bitcoin day in el salvador. My birthdays have always felt more like new year's than new year's to me part of that has to do with so many years of school beginning at the exact same time in when you're a kid you mark your age by your great in school as much if not more than by your actual age part of it is that i just absolutely love fall. Either way i find. It's a really good time to reflect on where things are where they've been and where we'd like to see them go so for giggles before we dive into our main topic. I wanted to look back at the last couple years of shows to see what was happening around. Now we back in two thousand nine hundred ninety. I hadn't officially started the breakdown yet. I was doing a pro version of it. A livestream version called the crypto daily. Three at three where it would basically do the brief. But live via periscope and youtube and twitch the main topic of my birthday in twenty nineteen was lieber versus china the global digital money wars heat up libra had been announced that summer and china had kicked into high gear trying to get their digital yuan. Efforts accelerated last year. My birthday actually fell on labor day itself. So i did a reading of nick. Carter piece called the crypto dollar surge and the american opportunity in it nick discussed many of the themes that we regularly come back to hear around the continued growth of usd denominated stable coins. And what it might look like for the us to embrace rather than to condemn that emerging infrastructure. Interestingly these string of september seven stories light up rather well with today's stories about the way crypto-currencies digital assets and private monies are changing the nature of the states relationship with money as well in that. Today's banner story is even more significant. Of course today. Is bitcoin day in el salvador. Today in a world first. Bitcoin has become the legal tender of an actual country. So how did we get here. In june el salvador's president naib. Kelly appeared as a surprise guest during bitcoin. Miami he was introduced by jack. Mahler's of strike muller's had spent the previous few months down in el salvador specifically asante at a project called bitcoin. "I think it's happening sooner than i thought. But the potential around it irrespective of whether it goes good or bad this is going to be a real experiment in real life of how this thing works. And there's one more element that i want to talk about. Which is the lightning network because for all of the things that bitcoin has done that it does very well. The standard of living in el salvador. The cost of living there is pretty incompatible with the way the transaction fees work to make transactions on the base layer network today the whole other conversation. We'll have some time about whether that was a good decision. Because this continues to be a pet peeve for me and something that. I'm just not sure that we made good decisions about. But just as far as el salvador's concern. Let's talk about lightning for a second. Lightning is a layer two on top of bitcoin. That effectively uses bitcoin as a settlement layer. I'm looking at a story right now about the lightning network that was recently published on coin desk and it says that the lightning network recorded. Its quickest one hundred. Bitcoin capacity growth after only five days. When in the past. That's taken anywhere from between nine to thirty nine days just in the last few months. So we're seeing an exponential ramp in increase in capacity in it on a recent episode. We talked about how actually a lot of this growth isn't coming from people who are using whitening itself as like a lightning wallet or something like that instead. What they're doing is they're using lightning within a third layer application like the spinks chat podcast payments streaming thing that we talked about last time. And there's a couple of others of these as well. But i mean how. Big of a deal is lightning to this project and all salvador..

"I wanted to discuss this in terms of relative benefit. Because you know. I don't want to be bedfellows with these fellows. But you know we're all on this planet with a bunch of nasty fellas and some of them are delivering surveillance digital payment systems on government controls coins to a billion people and controlling chunk of mining and mining pools. So it's all about relative good. But you know i think this is one of those classic double edged swords. There are some good things. Come out of this and perhaps so make it work. Perhaps the regulations that come out will shock us in their benevolence and foresight on all of that. But i wouldn't count on it because that's not how governments work usually i mean for me again. It comes back to this idea that if we expect governments to be perfect if we expect governments to do the exact bitcoin thing than work going to be disappointed right. There's like the abstract versus the kind of real life implementation to me that neutrality means that well this is el salvador's version of it but again once all salvador or does this basically one or two things are going to happen. It's gonna go really poorly and then that will probably dissuade other countries who have very similar dynamics in terms of why they would adopt something in this way like bitcoin and on the other side if it proves to be reasonably successful than we're likely to see a cascade of similar size nations with similar dynamics that choose to followed in each one of those might look to what el salvador did and then make their own set of rules that are based around that and so to your point about like well. Will they veto things..

"And then if you look later on some of these other clauses that we've mentioned are intended to kind of soften that where they say. Well everybody's required to do it but if you don't have access to it right if you don't have access to the technology necessary to do it while then you're exempted from that so there's a question here around. Does this respect the neutrality. That many people feel. Bitcoin represents so. Let's start the conversation around this idea of neutrality specifically with regards to this type of law andrea. You want to jump in here. Yeah i think a lot of people perhaps rightly so have an objection to the idea that this is being made. Mandatory in terms of and so a specific technological solution to currency is being mandated. On half the gun. Now of course government's mandating currency be accepted is nothing you and that's what governments do and that's where the fact that a government has introduced. Bitcoin into a country runs into some of the ideals of bitcoin. The should be a voluntary choice. By those who want to participate. I understand that concern then again. I think many governments have mandated either directly or indirectly against bitcoin and made it very difficult for someone to exercise voluntary choice. I really read this particular part of the bill in a very pragmatic way. I would say if you're thinking about a country like salvador you're gonna have a big chunk of the economy probably significantly more than fifty percent is a cash based informal economy that exists with small family based businesses vendors that sell basic goods a whether it's farmers grocery stores fishermen restaurants roadsides fruit stalls or food stalls and various other small services and businesses..
