All right. This is the time of the show where we talk about a couple things that we are super in love with. Mildly obsessed with thinking about all the time this week. What do you got? What's your first one? Okay, a new coffee roaster in town. That has really good coffee beans. The Dyna coffee roasters. Oh, yeah. I like their beans very much, And I'm a little finicky. I'm finicky about coffee. I really like a dark roast coffee. I want it to feel like almost like espresso espresso. Sorry. I said Expresso. Stephanie gave me the I didn't have time to give you the eye espresso. I really want like a good, hearty, dark, delicious cup of coffee. Yeah. So when I first got the beans, I was like, Oh, these are blonde like they're not oily, like the dark one. That's gonna, but they really You know, Coffee is a weird thing, and I drink a lot of coffee, and I like coffee. And there's a lot of bad coffee. Yeah, these beans and they had different flavors. I had three different kinds. And while they weren't like my first cup of coffee, morning coffee They were really delicious. And they were like, great like later on in the day, cups of coffee where they weren't so, like acidic. Yeah, I really noticed for I feel like one of the first times. In my life like these really subtle variations in this coffee, and it was enjoyable. Okay, he Dina Coffee roasters. I thought they did a good job. And it's where is it? Any data? I'll find out, Okay, because it is a shop itself. Are these beans that you're buying from somewhere? Uh, let's see. Where did you go? Or did they send them to you? Hold on. You do do do do all right. We're gonna I ordered them. We have, like, one minute in the segment. Okay? I ordered them online. Okay. I'm going to give you one mini row market. Which is that cute little market in Hopkins? I love they posted a picture of a, uh Posted a picture of a muffuletta sandwich and I literally drove over to get it like I was literally like as excess. So on that needed a muffuletta sandwich with an olive type of not in a little jar little pepper mix. It was Just a perfect size and it was like, and I'm going back for the spicy, hot, spicy beef sandwich. I'm excited by that, because they've got some redhead Creamery cheddar on there. So anyway, they have a great little deli offering sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches and also to suffer right in downtown Hopkins. Okay, What's your second one? Okay, My second one is the dips from gardens of Salonica. You can now buy them at London by release. Okay, So the men you know that she's got her humming? Yes, Yes, Jackie Tzatziki. She's also got the eggplant, one that's called Mezzaluna. Not that one. Yes. Oh, my God. Now he's like like melon on that one is also there there in the like deli section where the U. S is, And I just think she is an underrated restaurant. It's a Greek restaurants in Minneapolis Britannica dip set lines and wireless. Okay, And my second one is just that we're going to talk more about this probably next week. Um, but the sushi chef is finally going to be opened going. The sweeps. I know, are you? Well, we're all going on Thursday. Okay, So one of the days Yeah. So, um, but that will be kind of exciting. Um, And it will be great because I have to tell you guys the space is very, very cool. And, um, I don't know if you saw the sneak peek that I did of it, but it's really It's like the entire upstairs is a terrorist. The downstairs will have You know, walk by seating there'll be, you know, there's like bar seating and stuff inside there doing indigenous wines. There's indigenous plants planted all over and they're all labeled with the Dakota name first in the American name Second, You're going to learn stuff, and I love what Dana told me that, she said. You know, she's all about this passive education, which is like you may not know anything about them. But you may stumble in off the river, see people having a beer and a salad. And so you're going to go in and have your beard a salad? All of a sudden, there's this name like Walcott. On the salad, and you're like, what's Takata? And then she's their servers going to tell you And then all of a sudden you're going to know something about indigenous culture that you didn't before. And I love that. Because it's all around us, and we don't spend enough time digging into it in my mind. No, and it's going to be very interesting and be clear about this. No dairy No butter, no wheat, nothing that because it's that's not on the menu because it wasn't grown in digitally in the area. So this is what's gonna be exciting to me. I mean limits on menus. To me are the way that we get more creativity. I like it. No butter. Wow. No butter, hazelnut oil, Though we're not oils, we'll see. We'll see what he does. All right, you guys That is our top to an hour to we're gonna take a quick break and we're going to come back and talk about how to do cool things in the kitchen and the hot days. I'll be right back. "30 minutes after eight o'clock. Welcome aboard. Glad to have you along with us quick reminder about our weather situation here. Winter weather warning for north Georgia Mountain counties that includes areas like Salonica and Cleveland's will be aware of that, otherwise a light dusting elsewhere. If we really get a whole lot of anything, so keep your eye on that as we work into the afternoon and evening hours, of course, be back with you tomorrow morning to help you through it later on this morning coming up in the next half hour. Some of some of you are going to be Not real happy about this, and some of you are going to agree. I'm going to try to stay in the middle of it and try not to get stabbed by either side. But we're gonna be talking about a major lawsuit that's been filed against. Against the whole thing with co vid 19 not against the disease itself. But against the way things have been handled, including data manipulation, payoffs and state shutdowns. At least that's what's being alleged in this lawsuit. Attorneys, doctors in several civil rights groups joining together to file the file three. First of a kind lawsuits that will challenge a lot that's going on in the way things have been handled in. The information is coming out involving Cove, it 19 attorney attorney Thomas Rents. Is gonna be with us, he says. Quote. Yes, Covert 19. The virus is real, not denying that. But he continued to say that's where reality stops. We'll find out what he and the folks that he's representing. Have to say about it again. You may agree you may disagree, but just wanted to be able to put this on to hear it out because that's what we try to do. We try to get us much information as we can on either side of any particular issue. And then it's up to you after that, Okay, So lets up Let's take a look at what happened yesterday in some regards, and of course, I say we let you decide. You're going to hear my opinion coming out here just a minute on this particular issue, But it's not anything you haven't heard. Or maybe it's not anything you haven't said yourself. But, of course, the social media sites. We're taking steps to prevent further violence on Capitol Hill yesterday, we find out a bit more as we check in with Kristen Goodwin with Fox News radio in an online clip. President Trump addresses protesters breaching the U. S Capitol building where Congress was working to finalize President elect Biden's win, go home and go home in peace, but doesn't condemn the violence and repeated unsubstantiated claims that the 2020 election was fraudulent. Twitter removing several tweets from the president, including the video after preventing engagement on it, dude. Will risk of violence Facebook and YouTube also pulling the clip both companies saying they will remove any content that breaks their rules on inciting violence. Kristen Goodwin Fox News Interesting, interesting, indeed. Well, it's not totally gone. Able to find it on YouTube this morning, several locations as it was re posted by news outlets around the country. So it's not completely disappeared and just wanted to share his comments with you in case you missed it yesterday. It's only about a minute or so and all I got to say it's Facebook. You want me to play this? Come and get me. I wish you the best. I know your pain. I know you're hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us. It was a landslide election. And everyone knows it, especially the other side. But you have to go home. Now. We have to have peace. We have to have law and order. We have to respect our great People in law and order. We don't want anybody hurt. It's a very tough period of time. There's never been a time like this where such a thing happened where they could take it away from all of us from me from you from our country. This was a fraudulent election. But we can't play into the hands of these people. We have to have peace. So go home. We love you. You're very special. You've seen what happens. You see the way others air treated that are so bad and so evil. I know how you feel, but go home and go home in peace. So find anything that they would take that down. I get that they don't agree that he doesn't agree with what happened. I get that they don't agree with it. But at the same time I didn't see anything insightful about that. Why they would take it down. So Facebook No. You were nervous if the Senate races went to the Republicans, because you're nervous about what goes on with big tech and maybe some restrictions because you have been given Some protections by the government. For people to have a platform of free speech, and you did not want to be sued for libel or slander. I appreciate you trying to patrol to a certain degree. Some of the things that are posted that young folks can see. Don't agree with a lot of the language that goes on there. I don't agree with a lot of the opinions. I don't think I want the opinions stricken. I'd like to see people clean up their language a little bit. But hey, if you're going to be this form Either Forum. Just move on..

"Um, no. The smart thing I mean is is And what's the goal here is to be told what to be happy or to be successful. Successful W mean, monetarily successful or have a happy life to be right. I'm not trying to be right than wrong. You might not be talking about just about business decisions about be right. Should I buy this house? Should I did marry this person? Should I Do I need discipline my kid or forgive them Do I need to stop hanging out with this person who seems to be a negative influence on my life? That's a good one. Somebody Oh, no, no, but we had all those great time will update your opinions with the constantly inundation of new information and realize well Yeah, Maybe we We were really good friends in our mid twenties. But life styles have changed, and he's gone down a different path. And that's a good was not for me. That reminds me of I saw this the other day and a bumper sticker of all places. You shouldn't see things on bumper stickers that literally literally strike use. Profound. Doesn't that just mean you're done By definition? It seems a little it seems little brain adjacent Little Homer Simpson, like e don't know, But there's there could be one or two out there. Absolutely think some bumper stickers in my life that have stuck with me. Probably will. For the rest model exist one and down, which is just how can you argue? No. The I remember seeing on a bumper sticker if you had enough Would you know it? Yeah, it really struck me is it is a big deal Invention that phrase two days ago in a private conversation. And and then this one. I want to make sure award it right. Oh, Let's I can. If you can read this, you're too close and I could read it on my driving call 1 800. I realized that was too close and I preface it with I'm pretty happy with my life and and feel very fortunate to be where I am in a whole bunch of different circumstances because I've done plenty of things that could have derailed everything but The bumper sticker was Let's fake our own death and go off and live the life we really want to be. Oh, and I thought that is Oh, that is too much for sitting here at the stoplight. If I didn't know how dirty the floor was, I'd lie down in it right now and sink because obviously you know where that gets you. Is that absolves you of all responsibility. Your job. Your friendships, Your kids, your financial everything you get to start completely over in this scenario, Let's fake her own death and go off and live life. We really want to. Um And you know, it's just kind of an interesting thought. Experiment. What would that be? Yes, It could be kind of getting here. Who would I be hanging out with? And you know what would I be doing Well, when I was in my priorities being You know, my only disagreement is when I was raising kids. I just I would reject the notion completely because I just that would be sure, horribly immoral. But I couldn't do that. It's been all my time feeling regretful and horrible, horrible about where my kids are. All right, You know, it's like the Bruce Springsteen song hungry Heart, which is great song, but I went out for got a wife and kids went out for driving on everyone back here pieces. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. On the other hand, you know with that, being aside, it's funny. This should come up because I was talking to some friends over the weekend, and one guy lost his dad far too young to cancer. And he's the younger man than I am significantly so but We're talking about life and options and stuff, he said. Joe, this is not a dress rehearsal. This is life. So don't wait forever to, you know, do live. Whatever you're talking about. You said because my dad always talked about when I retire. I'm gonna any never got that. I thought that was the line. I always had a the end of my When I touch taught interpersonal communications in college. That was my line at the end of every class because I wanted to be the profound teacher type of guy. I was, like, 23 years old, But I would always say that this ain't no dress rehearsal because that is that is a pretty good one. You do You do live your life with kind of the feeling you can just Preparing for the real thing coming on down the pike here pretty soon As you get further in your life have done with this crap start living exactly. I'll do the things I really want to do. Uh, too much perspective. Oh, easy now, somebody bleep that was harsh. Mm hmm. Wanted that. I wonder if it's a good thought. Experiment, Toto. Like like, you know, help you figure out what you want to do. Um, what if we faked her own death and went off and live the life we really want to? I don't know my strategy of taking a run of becoming a professional poker player. Probably isn't that solid of Ah of a goal, So I think in some ways, my My trappings of responsibility. And then not wanting to disappoint family members. Help keep me away from something that maybe work out. Absolutely doesn't. Yeah, absolutely. Um The only favorite poker sayings. You're good man for a saying. Gotta know when to hold. No. Uh, no. But that whole what? You're just saying in your family friends. You got some responsibilities that being grounded That doesn't tie you too. Sometimes, you know, the ties is the thing they keep us sane and from blowing our lives up the ties that bind another Bruce Springsteen song. And I ran. You remember talking to my uncle who was who was gonna kill himself? And we all pretty much knew it. I mean, it was pretty clear He was laying the groundwork to kill himself. And I knew it when I was hey, stopped through the town. Um, where I was living at the time, and we went out and had a piece of pie. Um, apple pie with a slice of cheese on it. It rustles in Salonica and all my brushes truck stop I with cheese on it. I had to sue that place for the £10 I gained in the two years I lived near it. Anyway, My uncle is coming through town to see me. I think he wanted to see me again before he killed himself. I mean, we never, you know. Did you put that fine A point on it, But, um, I brought up something. And I'm young at this time, and I brought up something about. I'd like to just take off and go to this. He said no, no, You need to be grounded. You gotta you gotta You gotta have something that you know you're tied two to keep everything in perspective. He didn't have anything at that point. I think that was He had a real good perspective on that, because he lost everything in a bunch of terrible ways. That mostly weren't his fault and someone more, but he did. He had nothing at that point, his life and the real lack of being more to anything I think is what you know, took him down the road of eventually checking into a hotel, blowing his brains out. Um But you do you do you know something? A lot of the things that that are. Burden sometimes. A pain in the ass..

So there might be things there might be things. They're definitely definitely will be things in our lives that we don't really have to do but we could do to sacrifice to help those around us and Timothy was definitely involved with that. And so these three brothers go off together in this work of preaching Paul his spiritual father in the faith Silas and Timothy and they preach at Philippine we read and they preach at thessalonica and they preach at Berea. but it was a difficult job with Timothy was doing with Paul and with Silas and they were suffering persecution. They suffered persecution in Phillip. I well Paul and Silas did they were beaten with rods and put in prison wage, but they were also suffering at thessalonica as well and they were actually they had to escape. the Thessalonian from the Thessalonian brothers and sisters because of the the persecution that they were facing from the Jews and the Gentiles and so they had to abruptly leave the brothers and sisters there at Fest salonica. And you know when they were away from the Thessalonian brothers and sisters Paul Silas and Timothy missed them. It was a time of great persecution. But they were still missing their brothers and sisters with whom they had very close relationships. in thessalonica in particular and I want you to come with me now, or maybe just listen. To a passage in first Thessalonians chapter 3 which tells us quite a lot about Timothy now, they were driven out these three brothers. They were driven out of thessalonica from birth mothers and sisters there because of the persecution of the Jews and the Gentiles as they had joined together. But these three brothers wanted to get back to those brothers and sisters and it says in verse one of chapter three 1st Thessalonians. He's a yodeler, but To be fair. Maroon five songs are very, very different, really each other. Yeah, because they've got the ballads and they've got the knot ballads. Sure these guys had ballots. Really? Yeah, Like, like all their songs are like that They had all sorts of stuff like they had all the while they had all the love they had winning at all. Those are all the same alone with you from banging in that name. You have a guarantee of Robert just to play any of them. They all sound exactly Listen, I'm not knocking it. I love it. Yeah, I love that. They're so reliably consistent, kind of like Marine five. Ma'am, I have a question. I am sizably younger than the both of you. Really? You got to point that out? Don't know why you have to say that just for historical backing for the question. What? In the eighties where people still doing records? Would you play? This is a record or was it a cassette tape? Probably. It was probably said Yeah. Just starting to be a CD. Know aboutthe CDs. My cities were 89. Before that. Well, these are all the stuff came out 85 ta like 7 88. That's when all the sun came out. Voices of Babylon was like 89. Yeah, but that was before you was 1990. So you're looking at cities? Yeah, I think I have an outfield CD. If I'm not mistaken. And then I had the windows yet A roll down with your hands. Yeah, Like when you make that motion to kids now they have no idea what you're doing to my car. Now Hit the role down hand hand roll down. Your windows are sizably cheaper. Really? Just that feature and no power windows. Yeah, There's like the power roll power locks, power locks power. You've got to pull up your lie. I have an automobile that gets me where I need to go. Probably good. It builds character. But, yeah, I remember. Like because I would have to really commit to a to a cassette because I couldn't change excited. Drive the car. It's not like I could play with it on the dash or anything. Because I didn't have a radio in the dash. I would have to stop the car and then change the cassette in the passenger seat on my boom box. I love them. The mom advice she gave me I'm 36 years old. It'll build character will build character. Well, you really need to get some of that rum. But it is funny if you do the rolling hand motion, Teo for car windows, people that have no idea. What are you doing? Are you churning butter? It's kind of like when you do like when you hang up the phone. You didn't hang up the phone. Yashin and people are like you just you know, that's that because when you get in arguments now you can't slam the phone down. You can't press off could be like And then you like, push the little button with your finger. It's not as gratifying. Wait. You guys don't have like a home phone anymore. No, I don't have a home phone anymore. We got rid of ours, buddy. Maybe phones of lady. We're all pushed, but now you can't slam it. Slam it. You just put it back on. It's Doc. We were watching Halloween the other night. The original one. And of course, they're talking on the phone, and it's the cord phone. And so we got in a conversation about Does anyone still have a Picking a cord phone in their house because I remember my grandparent's had the one we have to spend the DIA when I was road with wall. Yeah, those were the best and then you you take it and you go to the rooms. You want some privacy from like your sister of bothered bothered you, right? Especially you guts your older sister, and so you have to go in the next room. You take that court as far as it could go into another means you close the door and it would be like stuck in the door. You know the cord and you because Like two hours on the phone, and that's what you would do. And that phone was usually like an avocado green or, like a burnt orange. And then you'd be calling people be trying to call you and they get a busy signal. Yeah, Yeah, for real. This is used to call an operator Do you remember doing I never did that You didn't Okay, because when I lived I lived in open out when I had to call collect to my parents at home, and I said that when I drive home from college when I went to Tennessee would have self unto the time I would call on the way home to tell them where I was milestones. I would I would stop at the side of the road. Get on the pay phone and I will call collected. My dad would never accept the charges. System. Yeah, it was a system that we had a call from, like a certain milestone on the way like Salonica, Georgia or whatever I call from a pay phone and I would be like, maybe, like, collect call from Amy Jo. And he'd be like, okay. And he'd be like now. I'm not going to set this baby. Just know that I made it to that spot. I get back in the car and I keep driving. I don't even know what happens if you just dial zero right now. Does anything happen? Have no idea what used to be. You would connect with an operator. And it was amazing kids have it so easy these days for real. I am 4000 years old. You guys speed is next. I read a testimonial.

"We just use the water cannons on these protesters with some died water in him. And then maybe a little public shaming might help the situation. Well, by we do you mean the public or the police? Who do you mean? Private. It would have to be the police. But I mean, maybe one way to control the crowd as well as identify him. Well, a couple of a couple of reasons. I mean, I hear where you're coming from. First of all, the police couldn't do it because then they'd be called racist on the bad guy on day. We aren't allowed to even arrest people or if they do, the charges are all dropped because this is all happening in very far left wing, progressive blue states, counties or cities. And those mayors or county executives or governors, not on ly or letting them do it. They actually agree with them. That's why we can't do that. When we go back at it, lying to his mic in Kansas, Mike, what's going on? Hey, Joe. How you doing? Living The dream man. What's happening? I'm a little nervous, so bear with me, But I need to say I'm just I'm used to do for us on the radio. Don't know worry about being nervous. Good. I want to talk about the grant building in Salonica, Kansas, Small, low pound 50,000 women got together, got tired of what's going on, not supporting the place. And they started to overpasses in this down and sporting trump and blue lives matter. This is taken off big time, and I just wanted to get that on the air. Well, Very cool. Glad people are rally. Thanks, man. I'm glad people are rallying for for the other side. It can't just be one side. And you know these again, these county executive these mayors, these governors, they can't possibly say this is peaceable. These are peaceful protests. You have to let him do it and then say you can't do one for blue lives matter or for President Trump. Look what's good for the one side is good for the other side. Let me go back at it and say hello to outline three Jenny's in Kentucky. Hi, Jenny. Um, I'm just stumped with his antifa thing that I am not understanding. How come a lot of my guess. Liberal educated friends on the last I've not heard about it don't understand it don't even believe it, and I'm just wondering what can be done to expose. Ah, you know their cause and their support and who they are, and I just feel like you know, I would like to do more than just wring my hands. Well, you let your friends and your relatives your neighbors who are confused, But Antifa just used their Internet connection and looked him up. And don't look up. You know, the far left wing sites that act like video. They're just peaceful people trying to stop fascism. They're not. They're not peaceful people. They're violent, horrible people that want anarchy in the streets And yes, they're riel. Even they say they're real. So the suggestion that they're not doesn't make any sense. Or just tell them to watch any news. Video of the protests happening in any city, Yusa and those protests were being are being perpetrated by far left wing and tea for billing activist So don't wring your hands don't get frustrated just directly into their Internet, which they all have. I mean, that's the best advice. I can give you, Steve, Maryland, talk to me. Hello. Hi, Steve. You're on the air. About a minute. Let's go. Hey, what I wanna know Joe is how come both Cox Joe gets away with saying that he's going to be an ally of the light. And fight the darkness If our president Trump had said that the Ministry of Propaganda would be saying that comment was a dog whistle to the racist on my premises. Well, you're right. But then again, you gotta keep in mind that that would you call him Beau talks Joe the boat talks. Jo also said things like they go on put you all back in James. And he said things like, If you have a hard time deciding between Trump Army, then you ain't black. You say things like that and call Obama the first articular clean black guy or African American that we've seen in politics. He can see you have a Pakistani or Indian accent to walk into a Dunkin Donuts. He's gotten away with a lot. And I love it's his Joker smile or or the hair. I don't know what his story is. But the guy has gotten away with a lot which clearly shows me you means racist as you want. If you're on the right side of the correct side of the political spectrum, If you're on the incorrect.

"Or at least that's the idea. We did not sleep in the earth that night. Come to think of it. I've been spending a lot of time during this pandemic thinking about traveling. A summer as part of the midweek recharge. I started a small group on the topic of pilgrimage, and, admittedly, it's a funny topic for this season when most of us aren't really going anywhere. But the author of the book, the Pilgrims, Compass, Reverend Paul laying. He talks about pilgrimage as not on ly traveling to a sacred spot, but also as an inner intention. Growing and discipleship through daily discipline. And laying makes the case that it's when we moved out of our comfort zones that we are able to experience God. To encounter God in new ways. It's like he's playing a spiritually version of the glad game because laying says the Pilgrim faces life with this question. What is this new and unexpected situation trying to teach me? Where is God in this? Our Scripture passage For today. It shows the Apostle Paul posing this Pilgrim's question. He finds himself in a remarkably unexpected setting. He's had two trips to the smaller towns of Philip II and Salonica. And now he is in this intellectual center. This multi faith setting of Athens, the Great city. It is not his usual cup of tea, and not only that in Athens, he's now alone. And his other travels. He's tracked with his companions. But here in Athens, he's flying solo. He's waiting for Silas and Timothy to catch up with him. And the differences between this stop and Paul's other travels. Don't stop there. Instead of his customary trips to the synagogues to meet with a devout and Athens Paul quickly moves from there to talk to the philosophers, and really anybody who shows up in the marketplace. And instead of searching out the prayer spots by the river, he wonders around their temples, where he memorizes inscriptions, toe idols and looks carefully. At their objects of worship. And importantly, Instead of being run out of town by threatened leaders. He finds himself before the area against teaching a polite and seemingly undisturbed crowd. Tell us something New. They say, and he does. It's instructive that even in the acts of the apostles The book the Orderly accounts on church growth. That the author includes this Paul's strange stopover in an unusual place. Could the rider be reminding us how important it is to disrupt the life of faith? If it's on ly the meaningful message around church growth and administration. Why include this story where Paul spends his speeches reciting pagan poetry if it's all about effective, evangelizing? I include this story where Paul basically gets laughed out of town. If it's all about the new circumcision, a baptism in Christ. What about Paul? In this talk where he extends the circle even wider? And, he says from.

"I'm Jennifer Bell and today I'm speaking with a couple of the folks from vital space is Jonathan Boy is the executive director, and Hana Yo alum who is the program manager, program director and We're talking about Windows on the future, which is a project in conjunction with 5 16 arts in Albuquerque and the Maceo Project and House and so all total there's 60 different artists who have been paid to do these installations that you can go see, and the installations are in either completely empty Storefronts right, Jonathan, or some of them are more active and not empty spaces. I mean everything from sight Santa Fes window to empty storefronts, too active storefronts. It really wants just sort of getting into the community and talking the property owners and saying, Can we activate a storefront window right now, and some A lot of them are empty, but some of them are Yeah, well, honey, my brewery in Salonica center is open and you can go pick up computer there and see an installation in that window. Goler shoes downtown has an installation in their window. But then yeah, like we have 3 10 Johnson Street that used to be an adobe and is they can't and installations in that consists, Didn't you have it? And do you have an exhibition in that space that was curated by Luzia Guzman? That was last year That was before right? Yes, yes, the property on her. There is in the middle. It's sort of the exact model of what vital space is. Is this weird? You have the property owner bought that space and has extensive plans for remodels and they're happening. So before the remodel happened, we had the whole space and we used it for exhibition space had almost 10 exhibitions there and then he started the remodels, but we were still able to use the window for this project. Just again. For those joining us. The map for all the locations is on the website of vital space dot org's That's great. So Lisa frame and the artist Jin has artwork out on her while on old Santa future. I'm speaking with her and the next Out of the show. And she said, sort of exactly what you all are doing, like, Let's really show. Let's give the opportunity for all these artists. You really do live here right and work here and connect here. Let's really give them these spaces to show the kind of creativity and the kind of talent that we have examples because there is so much it is pretty mind boggling. And so I am so appreciative that you all are doing this and helping artists right now. It must be tough for a lot of artists. Yeah. Yeah, We're hearing from a lot of people that they're really struggling and and we had over 200 applications for windows on the future and had to make the tough choices of just picking 60 of those. And so there's a lot of creative tio creative energy and a lot of need both right. So go ahead, Jonathan. Well, yeah, the windows on the future really feeds into the whole mission of vital spaces, which is supporting that emerged and creativity in emerging creative process. In our way. We are about the underrepresented voices and people here working and trying to not only create opportunities like windows on the future for those artists, but also provide them studio. Space, which is so hard to come by, So it really is a broad vision of how we can support our just a community. Did you have your studio spaces where they shared communal? Some of them communal studio spaces? Did you say earlier in the first segment that you had to close some of them down? We close them. Partly for financial reasons that we were unable to sundries on DH partly typist. Went all when the first stay at home orders were in effect, and everyone was encouraged to be home completely. We felt it was better to just closed buildings, right? We have two spaces. Artists have their own state Lake. When they have doors when it's more sort of cubicle style on DSO. We've now allowed our respect in while asking them to adhere to social distancing and all health protocols because they do license those spaces individually, Right, Look, Ben's there. Right. So, um, you mentioned fundraising, which I was going to ask you about, Jonathan. Because You know if somebody wants to donate to vital spaces or support you all how should they get a hold of you? There's a Dhoni section on the website and that's easy and we are also a really small organization and Hannah and I, and so if you write to contact that vital space is not ord, which is on the website. We will respond. We will answer and we're happy to talk about our work and our impacting our community. And that's the way this project has grown. So please reach out if you're interested in supporting this project, because it really needs your support, and we are getting money directly to the artists in this community who need it on. That's what we're trying to do. That's awesome. He must spend a good bit of time on fundraising, then, huh? Unfortunately, it's a it's a lot of work on its, but it's important work. And being a new organization is really hard because you know, all of big grants are geared towards organizations that have been in the game for more than a couple of years with tax records and proof, But starting out, we just have to sort of Do it, and we can do it and we've been lucky and with the generosity of people in Santa Fe, helping us and seeing division that's great. So didn't you all have Instagram Facebook contest earlier and right, kind of right when the pendant extorted. Yes on that was called Hashtag and M Twinning met winning on. So we've partnered with the Roust teak Host Center for the Arts. The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, The New Mexico Museum of Art. The International Folk Art Museum, and, um, the Museum of contemporary native Rights. You have invited artists to buy anyone in town, not artists, kids, anyone who felt like they needed a creative outlet to reinterpret work from level Right? So did you see mine? The two chickens surely did leading heart. That's a painting by Georgia O'Keeffe that and it looks like two chickens on a skewer and so I contributed one, so that was a great There was a really great, um, entries into that contest now, right? It is. We have run out of it. We had prize money that was generously provided by this all in Colors Foundation, which is related to the falling killers Tech company and so we're out of prize money. We're inviting people to continue to submit if they feel inspired, but you can't win right? Of just bragging rights. So what do you have? You know what's your future looking like, mean? Short term. Do you have any, You know that obviously, Windows on the future is a great thing to be had just kicked it off, right? I mean, it's just all up eyes. They're anything else coming up that you want to talk about. We're really focused on thinking about how to be impactful in this time given like you talked about previously the effect on the economy and closing spaces, and how can we work with our community to Vitalize faces rather than seeing empty doors, So that's always part of the project, and we're trying to be sensitive about that. Not Knocking on doors and hounding people right now, because it is such a challenging time, so that's sort of in the future. Our goals are there in terms of activating spaces and making them available to artistic community, both for presentation and more studio spaces. So those air really what we are about, and we're just trying to Navigate this really challenging time because we don't want to be insensitive to struggles in place of both the owners and business owners. And yet we also want Teo. Bring energy and creativity and activity to these spaces and not have any doors in any where in Santa Fe, so that sort of balancing act. We're trying to figure out right now, and that's really what we're focused on. If you're an artist, and you're and you're interested now, in studio space through vital space, is is. Is that anything? Are you all doing providing new space deserves that kind of unholy right now. Do we have on apply section on our website..
