"sales director" Discussed on My Career Fit

"To Reggie batts it. I'm a sales director for sundance pain solutions. And what I am recruiting for our outside sales reps and different ice. Oh companies to come on board to be a part of our wonderful team. We are a credit card processing company. Now we'RE UNDER THE UMBRELLA OF FIRST AMERICAN PAYMENT SYSTEMS NOT FIRST. American payment systems has been allowing for years. We've been jumped into this business with M. Z. Elliott Management Elliott. Men Is our sister company. And we just branched off so that we were able to have ninety-nine reps in the field so again credit card processing company to satisfy credit card processing means checking needs everything. We're everything but their banks. I have ISOS on my team which in Isos an independent sales office where there's one main manager but they have three or four ten representatives that work underneath them but they all still right for us so I have a couple of ISOS on my team and then I have a slew of Representatives independent sales representatives to where they are working from home. Some of them are doing side jobs or visit their side job. But they're constantly talking to Martin's giving me on the phone allowing me to help them with their with helping them close merchants so that team has independent sales offices. They also have also has independent sales reps right now. I do have a couple of agencies in the northern state of New York. I have in Florida I Alabama Oklahoma Texas Virginia Portland Seattle so. I have representatives all over the country but the way I look at this is I can have multiple people in one city because most cities are large. Even if you go to a smaller town though small towns have more people in one person get there are more businesses than one person can get suit so there are thousands of cities that. I have not touched. Beloved Pets Fills Representative. Position is mainly you or the sales representative dealing with me on a one on one basis. And they're dealing with. I mean because they work from home so they have to have the discipline and the work ethic to do this from home to do this on their own. They're calling me more often than I am calling them but the reason they're calling me is because number one. We're doing some one on one training number two. They're getting me on the phone if they're in front of a merchant. I'm helping them close the merchant. I'm helping them talk to the Merton. I'm even getting on the phone with merchant toward them and then number three. They are calling me to make sure that we have gotten a deal installed. And now it's going to payroll so that they we call next day. We WanNA payroll daily so the sales representative is constantly talking to me so that they can get paid. They came close deals and they can't get educated about credit card processing. Experience is always wanted and needed. But it's not necessary. You can be an eighteen year old kid coming right out of high school and we can teach you how to do this because it is sales. Let's just selling this product. You could be a ten year veteran in sales but not in these type of sales and we'll bring you on board is just selling this product. You could be a person who has been in the credit card processing industry for years and yes we definitely want you to come on board because you understand exactly what it is that we're doing so the skill level the knowledge base. That is not necessarily something that you have to have but one thing that we do encourage everyone has a great work ethic because with a great work ethic we can teach you anything right now. My team consist of about twenty to twenty five. People might go right now is to get that to about fifty to seventy five. So I'm looking for more people to come on because once we do some training and people get the hang abyss. They really don't need Reggie they. Need Reggie just for quick question here there or to turn and deals and things of that nature. So that's why I. I'm looking to more in Mary. You're from the independent sales rep standpoint. That's what ninety percent of people are. GonNa come on board as an independent sales represent. They're gonNA come on board and there's they feel like okay. I've been doing this now. Six months a year two years now they feel like I know someone else who wants to do this. I know three or four people who like to do this now. They can become an independent sales office and bring those people on board with them and have them underneath them. And that's how you become an ISO and that's the upward movement in the company. Independent Sales Reps Sundance is looking for self motivated individuals to join their team as independent sales representatives their agents promote their suite of payment processing products and services while retaining the ability to customize this position to their unique strengths. Schedules and goals with a flexible. Work schedule a sound support system and unlimited income potential. You can build the life. "When that sales director of the group Californians for life tells connect she's not happy with Sarah suing. The government abortion is not family planning. We do not kill our children in order to plan our families. And so it's very clear that the intent policy needs to reflect that California is the first to sue over this. But other Sates are already lining up. Rob martier KNX, ten seventy NewsRadio. Insys executive gave doctor lap dance while promoting drug, witness says

"They say that the lap dances began when they began rewarding a certain doctor for prescribing this opioid product they were paying him to speak at educational events about the drug at paying him acts like exorbitant amounts of speaker fees to then get on stage and talk to another room full of doctors about how great this drug is. Now, the problem is there were several events held did a Chicago restaurant that the founder of our chairman of insects owned attended by friends of this of doctors instead of clinicians, and the idea was there weren't really meant to be educational programs but were parties thrown to benefit the doctors and their buddies at one dinner in mid twenty twelve there was testimony that this stripper. Was sitting on the doctors lap kind of bouncing around. He had his hands sort of inappropriately all over her. Chest question. I'm sorry. Yeah. Is there a way to touch a stripper on her chest without it being inappropriate? Now. Remember, she's not a stripper at this point. She's the regional sales director. Okay. Is there a way to touch a regional sales director on the chest. That's appropriate. Wow. Like say say, no, I'm going go out. Darren came in here. Right. Okay. And. Oh is he bouncing on your lap at the time? Yes. Okay. And I'm touching his chest. Is that ever appropriate say two wrongs don't make a right? So no, there would never be a chance. Were you could touch his chest appropriately paid this doctor more than seventy thousand dollars in speaker fees? It's pretty good you've been paid to speak. Yes. Was it ever close to seventy eight thousand seventy thousand dollars. Now, this is an ongoing thing this is an ongoing court case. And I think this is only going to get dirtier where we were talking yesterday about how John Kapoor was accused of this. I think it's racketeering conspiracy. Is the charge that he faces and a few other of the executives there from insists, and how it is that they were giving these money they were putting on these fake parties, they were encouraging doctors to speak nicely about the in suspension will spray in exchange for tens of thousands of dollars in speaking fees, and you know, try to play it off as some sort of an educational clinic. When in fact, there were regional sales directors who double this strippers and lapdancer. So this is going to get better remember yesterday when we told you about the head of US intelligence agencies testifying before a Senate panel talking about how they don't believe North Korea will ever abandon its nuclear. Program. And they also believe we have not beaten ISIS. These are two things that the president is diametrically been vocal on the other side of I guess, you could say, well, he's pushing back today against those intelligence assessments, saying perhaps intelligence should go back to school love it. NYC Mayor Refuses to Endorse Cuomo or Nixon for Governor

"As New York City's mayor is concerned Nixon is a longtime activists friend Cuomo news a longtime political foe. "sales director" Discussed on The No Limits Selling Podcast

"Are you ready to become awesome? Hello, everyone. This is Martin meet your host and welcome to the no limit selling podcast. Where industry leaders shared their tips strategies and advice on how to make you better stronger faster, get ready for another episode. Today, I'm privileged to have Barry, Andrew Shak. You've written a book, setting appointments made easy, welcome to the program. Thank you. Are it's a pleasure to be with you on the fan of your podcast already. So the reason I mentioned the book is, you know if you wanna make a grown man cry in the end, the sales process, there's getting appointments. There's doing the presentation handling objections, closing the deal, getting referrals, going deeper into the count, the one that makes them cry is don't make me Cole call. You can have agreed as product or service in the world, but he can't get into anyone to listen to you. Then it's almost pointless appointments Reverend. So Barry in ninety seconds, tell us who you are and what you do. I'm a national sales director with primerica financial services, the largest independent financial services marketing agency in North America. I've not sales person by trade 'em pilot, actually by trade, but I couldn't get a a regular flying job in the early eighties. So I fell back on sale to try and make some money to keep me. Paying my rent and eating between jobs. And I found out that I liked the primerica business model and the way of making money they're better than I like flying airplanes. So I quit being a pilot and became the first independent sales Representative for primerica in Canada in nineteen eighty six open up the province of BC thirty offices across Canada, and essentially I recruit and train people to be financial advisers, and then train. The most ambitious wants to open up their own branch offices in monitor, branch offices across the country is brilliant. I actually started flying got my cell low in another day. I'll tell you about the the adventures in flying in what you should not do when you're up in the air. Long to hear. Mary, you're getting people in our society. There's three areas that people are really focused on. One is beliefs about money, and most people have negative beliefs around money. The second one is belief around sales, and most people have negative beliefs around sales. And the third one is love. We won't talk about that, but you're getting people to go into an industry where they need to talk about money and they need to be sales people. So what do you find the right candidates in? How do you get them to kind of overcome their hesitations and actually go on this journey with you will? First of all, I always believed that a good salesperson, a good adviser. A good leader coach has to believe a hundred percent. What it is they're selling, wouldn't you believe in it and you're excited about it and it's helped you then you can you feel motivated into one share it with your closest friends and family. If it's something that truly helps you. And that's what helped me. I'm not a salesperson by trailing Osama pilot, but when I found out how money worked, how it was. A lot easier to get an investment program and save for the future than I thought it was. I got excited about it started becoming a client myself, and then I realized none of my friends and family knew anything about money investing either. So I started showing them what I was doing and they became clients. And some of them said, hey, listen, how did you get involved in this? Can I can I can I do this as well, and we specialize in training people, you know, part time for careers in the business. So I said, sure I could train you. So the first thing was, was it something that their friends and family needed? Yes. Was a way that they could make money relatively easily without it costing their friends and family. A lot of money. Yes. So then the question was hot. We get appointments to see those people. I believe that there's, we sensually dentist our marketing for different ways. If you want me to go into that detail, I can down there and let's break this down. This be very kind of training Centric podcast. Normally we do interviews to figure out careers, but I think this is such an important issue because there's. A lot of people out there that could be making a real good living in sales that are literally starving because they can't get appointments. And that was one of my biggest fears. I'm I'm an introvert by nature, and I found that most sales people are extroverted. They like to be out talking to people in networking and making calls and seeing people. And I like to do a presentation, but I was nervous to talk to people, but what it is. And so what I went to sales training seminars, it was often too loud or pushy for me. And so I wanna find a way that I could call people reduce the rejection that a lot of people get when they make a first phone call overcome any quick areas of concerns, warm people up on the phone and caused them to want to see me vocal. So I studied a lot about appointment setting a lot about what what prospecting was and I felt the first thing was what is prospecting and and most people to prospecting is going out in meeting people in in getting names, trying to set up placements with him in in getting people interested in your opportunity. But I found out that. Prospecting the simple definition of it really is is putting names on a list. And if you just start with a blank piece of paper, just say, who do I know who I think would benefit from my offering n. just start with close friends or family starts with business associates starts with classmates start with they say, we know each one of us knows four hundred fifty people a not if that's true or not, but we do, and I always believed that if you really start thinking about, like if you know somebody who's a friend of yours and you might want to send a plane with them, but it's not just who they are, who they know and they most people have at least the buying influence on five or six other people. So I can make a friend with this person and he likes what I do. He'll refer me onto other people. So it's not just that person. It's the people they know. So all of a sudden my market continues to expand bigger than most people think it is. That's a start Kate. But when we dentist our market, there's a centrally four types. There's the hot market or market cool market coal market. Most people think sales done the cold market. But what I learned is a coal market. It really is nothing more than people you have nothing in common with strangers or people that you don't know where people that you've made mad. They don't wanna talk to you, but a cool market prospect is somebody that you have something in common with. So if I can meet somebody and instantly have something in common with, like, for instance, Omar, we just met essentially, but we have something in common. We're both Canadians. So we talk about those things. So all of a sudden we've gone from cold not knowing each other for something in common with and the more we talk about our mutual interest, our Mutual Association, we decide like this person is a good person. I like them associates can add. So that was very intentional on my part to mention that we're both Canadians because when we were coming out of the caves survival depended on the tribe, if you weren't in a tribe, you are dead. And if there were other tribes, they might kill you just having that one thing in common with someone else, whether it's kids countries, jobs, you can hear the change in their tonality immediately since they. Realize, oh, unite. Both worked at HP. It just starts a different kind of relationship. Exactly. And I believe that good sales, long-term good sales careers is built on people that like you trust you in the relationship you have with the stronger the relationship you have with people, the more they'll refer you to other people which makes it easier to set a place because now if you referred me to your talk friends, they might not know me at all, but they trust you in referring me to them. And so that's an easier appointment me to set. Hi, John, it's very Anderson calling Omar Hemi. Gave me your phone number. Did he happened to mention? I'd be calling you all of a sudden we have a connection, and then I would say, as you say, oh, yeah, no, he didn't mention or yeah, yeah. Okay. What's berry, whatever you know. And I'd say will first of all, Mark, thanks for taking my call head coaching a bad time. Have you got five minutes to chat? Because I always think one of the biggest mistakes people make when trying to set an appointment is they rush into their script and the person they've called has taken the call, but there in the middle of something busy and they can't listen, say, listen, Behr. Sorry. Hey, man, listen bad time yet. Okay. If that's I don't have time right now, call me back later and all of a sudden you stumble on that phone call and you feel like you've been rejected. You haven't been. You just caught him at a bad time and didn't give him an opportunity to say, could you call me back later? So what I started doing is the first thing I do is ask if it's okay to talk, is this a good time to talk to you have five minutes by Caccia bad time, and you'll say, if you say, yes, you caught me too bad time. I say, no problem remark. I call you back in an hour. Tomorrow will be better, and you'll say, hey, calling back in our or tomorrow. Same times. Fine. So now I put you down on my follow up list and the next time I call you, you're it, you're, you're waiting for my call because you gave me permission to call you back. So I think if a person when they make their phone call knows exactly what to say. If somebody says, no, this is a bad time. They don't get rejected as often and they'll they're more apt to make more phone calls. So that's, that's the first step make sense then then I call you back. I'd say if I, if in what likable that to Mars, when you're talking to people about getting into sales for the first time, the biggest. Fear they have in the world. Is somebody saying no to the interesting thing is, have I caught you at a bad time and you say, no, that's not a rejection and all of a sudden great will listen in the night. Then I think it's important that people have a very short time on the phone. So I'd say Omar friend of mine, actually, whatever. I want to say, I represent a company called such such. We save people money in this area and my friend, John, you might be seeing the same thing, but you locked into which doing right now financially or career wise or take taking a look at other things, or you'll put suggestions. Are you locked in? Are you open and now you have a choice. Right? So sometimes it's really interesting when you get someone that's making those kinds of calls and you record it and then you say, okay, well, who's your best friend? It's, you know, like Jane Smith is like, okay, just go checking with Jane, give her a call and just make sure she's okay. And then you play the recording Bank. They can hear the difference in tonality comfortableness. Like as you're describing the call to me, it sounds like you and I. Our best friends. And this is just a very matter of fact compensation. And I think that that attitude that mindset when you make those calls is critical to your level of success and acceptance by the person you're calling. I agree because especially too busy, we're only have a few seconds to make a positive impression, and we turn our people off on the phone or we could turn on and tonality. And what you say is very important to get that personal warm up to you quickly on the phone. I mean, we've all been approached by cold calling people. We've all had the cold call and they just magin. You don't like a cold call typically. And so a person calls you up and say, right, hi, I'm looking for Barry, Andrew, Shak right away. You don't know. Hi, this is also with this company and all of a sudden, you know, it's gonna go into a sales pitch enure knowing because you're busy, but if you change the language and to know it rather than say, is this so. And so I say, hi lar railway. Your first name is your favorite word in the English language. You realize this person might know me and I do. Do only by referral, and then I say, and I don't use the word. This is Barry, Andrew Shak. I think this is sounds too formal. Use the word it. There's something subtle about the word, it's that makes people think they should know you. So again, you're warming up that phone call one second at a time and all you'll get better results by warming the person up. Brilliant. So go on Barry, if we go back to go back to the basic appointment setting because for those people that are listening to this call in in the book I wrote by the way, I didn't write this book to make me money. I give all the people buy it on audible around on prospecting setting. Appointments made easy. I give all the money to charity. I didn't do it. I, I made designed it for introverts to learn how to set a place on phones. They can get better at sales in that book. There's every single point in there about what executives say on the phone at what time, and I would go like this. So let's calling calling Omar, say a Omar. It's it's very Anders calling. I represent a company called x, y, z. We specialize in whatever it is you do. That's benefit the client, like a safe, your financial services. We.
