So as i was saying right before we hit record here I had on your book thinking in bats at remember. Adding it to my list on amazon is gotta read this book and then when i finally read it okay i have to get in touch with you because so many questions that after reading us but before we get into your book and your work i wanna start asking. What did your parents do for a living. And what impacted that end up. Having on the choices that you've made with your life in crew i'll my gosh i can. I just tell you're like literally the only person has ever asked me that and It's actually a very. it's a really important impact. They had an. It's probably unexpected way. So my parents met at in graduate school. My father had gone to law school and about a year in. He just decided like it wasn't for him but his passion was teaching and particularly his passion was english literature. So he he. That switches to the master's program in english lit. My mom and dad actually meet over a game a bridge because my dad pulled her out of the hallway and said we need a fourth thing happened to play bridge. Which i think is kind of funny since obviously ended up being a poker player and my brother was clear as well but at any rate. So let's strange and so that's how they met Anyway my dad gets a job up at coming out of the masters program. I he gets a job at a prep school in new england so this was in nineteen sixty one. It's an episcopalian. Prep school saint. Paul school There he's like they decide. They need diversity so they hire him. 'cause he's jewish And off he goes to teach at this prep school. What's interesting about my father story. Is that his father.

"Financial wellness is really important to us here at higher it's important everybody and particularly given we serve here in the twin cities, particularly are very local area we way serve a lot of underserved. Um underserved students and and consumers. We have some high school branches that we've opened over the last few years to try to in the ST Paul City schools Johnson, Harding Island and Co. Moh. Or we can teach students job skills. Financial literacy were in classrooms. We we have the students teach other students. Things like that on death's been increasingly important Now we've had to pull back on. A few of those things was in person. School learning is Has been impacted. But, um, that's that's really speaks to our focus on helping people with financial wellness, Um, in terms of things for kids as an example. We have We really try to stress how important it is to teach kids about money to keep teach kids to save money and understand the value money Early on. We have Ah, you savings account, for example on and contracts with our partner, the Minnesota wild where you could make a deposit to that account, and then you can be entered into a drawing to win wild prizes. Way, participate in a, um, Some We have some things like teen checking accounts that we set up is part of the initiative with the Saint Paul school so kids could get a checking account and potentially a debit card and start to learn how to Really managed that. Maybe that first paycheck they have put some of that away. But, you know, don't just turn around, Go cash in and go out and spend it. That type of thing. You mean like, Michael, We have a lot of Yeah, exactly. My same here. You know, I We yet you try your best right to teach right things that you know, but it's It's tough for everybody. And so yeah, that's kind of what we focus on financial wellness for everybody. Whether your kids, you know teenagers. Young adults first time home buyers, you know all the way up toe. You know, people like me a little bit older and you know, hopefully a little bit wiser, but but surprisingly enough, you know, A lot of people. Maybe it's not even surprising. A lot of people just they need financial guidance. They need advice and they needed from somebody they can trust. So that's what we try to do. Well, thank you so much.
