"Me. Through faith. Through baptism, through my confirmation, through my ordination and every word that I say, every act that I do is him operating in the world. When you made this advent journey with us, he is in you. You and Jesus are one. The power of Jesus to come into the world at this particular Christmas Day is going to be your allowing him to take you over to become one with him. The message of this Christmas Eve is that you and I are Christ in the world today. I encourage you to spend 15 or 20 minutes. Hearing these words have them soak in, take the words of scripture. Take the words of second kings. We have been going through the word of God. Take the words of saint Luke's gospel, and the readings of today soak them, let them live and come to life in you. A reading from the holy gospel, according to Luke. Zachariah his father filled with the Holy Spirit, prophesied, saying. Blessed be the lord, the God of Israel, for he has come to his people and set them free. He has raised up for us a mighty savior, born of the house of his servant David. Through his prophets he promised of old that he would save us from our enemies, from the hands of all who hate us. He promised to show mercy to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant. This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham. To set us free from the hand of our enemy, free to worship him without fear. Holy and righteous in his sight all the days of our life. You, my child, shall be called the prophet of the most high. For you will go before the lord to prepare his way. To give his people knowledge of Salvation by the forgiveness of their sins. In the tender compassion of our God, the dawn from on high shall break upon it, to shine on those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death, and to guide our feet into the way of peace. The gospel of the lord. You mean lord that you love me so much, no matter what I am, or what I've done, or how weak I am, or how apparently useless I might think I am. You can come into me and I can become one with you, that's the story of Christmas. That's the story of Mary. A humble, simple, young girl, a Jewish maid. About 14 or 15 that God saw. Pure. Holy immaculate. And into her, he came. And just as truly as Jesus lived in her. Jesus lives in me. And Jesus lives in you. That's the story of Christmas. So that the power that came through her for the Salvation of the whole world, his birth, when he comes into you and you allow him to penetrate your whole self, your whole being, through you now, is going to come the Salvation of the whole world. St. Paul said, I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. I live now, know not I, but Christ lives in me. What a joyful magnificent preparation we've had. "And God is looking at us, God sees 6 billion of his children. When we pray today, we get so myopic in its good that I see that God sees me. And that's very important when he looks at me, and he's going to very much detail how, in prayer, he looks at each of us, but it's very important also that we look at the God who listens to us, because all the readings today look at God, looking at us. And what does God looking at? As he looks down at this little globe of 6 billion people, 1 billion of them are Muslims. Offering their prayer, and they did that on Friday, but their praying, and they believe in God. There is no God, but God. And in the Soros, God is merciful. God is just and we're going to see that's exactly what our Jewish brothers and sisters and the prophets tell us. So the God of the Jews, the God of the Muslim, and the God of the Christians, is a God who judges justly, and now he's going to give us this story about the prayer. A billion people today are offering their prayers to God, who are Hindus, a billion of us today, this Sunday, and 600 million who are orthodox and protestants were all praying and God is hearing, and this is what Jesus says about our prayer. He gives us this teaching from saint Luke's gospel and I'll begin reading from the 18th chapter beginning with the 9th verse. Jesus addressed this parable. To those who were convinced of their own righteousness and despised everyone else. Two people went up to the temple. To pray. One. Was a pharisee. The other a tax collector. The pharisee took up his position and spoke this prayer to himself. Oh God, I thank you. That I am not like the rest of humanity. Greedy, dishonest, adulterous, or even like this tax collector. I, fast, twice a week. I pay ties on my whole income, but The Tax Collector stood off at a distance, and would not even raise his eyes. To heaven. But beat his breast and prayed. O God. Be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you that the latter went home justified. And the former, not. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted. There, Jesus, and all of us who claim to be Christian and have an awareness of God, and this is Jesus who is God from God who is truth from truth that we believe in that he is telling us about God. When we come to him in prayer, and have this attitude and what is the attitude pride, self righteousness, self centeredness. So that whoever praise of in this world and has an attitude of self righteousness, whoever he be, Muslim, Christian, Hindu, our prayers go up. This is a reading from the book of sirach on prayer today. But the lord is a God of justice. That's asura, God is just God is merciful. God is kind. How do you square that? And yet there are thousands and tens of thousands, and even millions. Who are angry and hateful and violent towards Christians. This is a very important teaching. This is a Jewish teaching. This is a Christian teaching, and this is a teaching from the Quran. The lord is a God of justice, who knows no favorites. Though, not unduly partial toward the weak, yet he hears the cry of the oppressed. Who would be, then, those prayers that go up from this little planet of ours first. Listen, yet he hears the cry of the oppressed. The lord is not deaf to the whale of the orphans. In biblical terms the orphans and the widows were the poor. The outcast, the ones who really had need. What was that cry? That same cry from our planet today because of the way so many marriages are not marriages. Children are being had without the benefit of marriage, and so the child is not quite orphaned, but he comes into the world, and he doesn't have a father to protect him. And he has a mother who really can give him very little, because he was born illegitimate, and ought a wedlock. And he thrown out there without any protection, God loves that one. Nor to the widow, when she pours out her heart in prayer. She goes on to say, the one who serves God willingly is heard. His petitions readily reach the heavens. The prayer of the lowly pierces the clouds, it does not rest until it reaches its goal. Nor will it withdraw till the most high responds when you pour out your prayer with humility as Jesus was saying, he who humbles himself, who shall be exalted, judges justly and affirms the right and the lord will not delay. He who is humble, that prayer goes right to God. And so the teaching is so marvelous, whose prayers, then, today, from our little planet as we all pray to God, the refugees, those who are slaves, those who are oppressed, those who are hungry, this may or now, whose really losing his home, because he doesn't have enough money to pay his mortgage, and his children he has 7 children, and his job is so insecure. Are you crying out to God with pain? And with disease and with suffering, those who are in prison, and many of you may be unjustly. Look at the God who hears these prayers and look at the one who is calling and crying out in prayer. What God is also giving us all of us is how we look at him, not how God looks at us, but as we stand before him now, and God has a penchant and a tendency and a love, although he's not partial these just,

Yes so much of of his divine identity has divine person hood his divine nature comes through in his human acts. We can see him as creator. We can see him as redeemer. The one who restores we can see him as teacher. The one who reveals all of these things come through in his human acts.
