"That's true. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because he did lose Sadyrin's ski that opened up a space yet. And most of your mid levels been used on issues Smith. And then you also get the be left, right. Yeah. I mean it might make if you want to get some clarity, maybe you could try negotiates with Bobby Portis now. So, you know, sixty billion dollars over four years. How about that reported in the media is that offers out there for me, right? It's not from us. I am curious who it's from pelicans. Maybe. Believe it or not. We no longer have to cap space to make that offer. Knicks here. We're not. We're not getting close to that. Yeah. No, it does not appear that such an offer before coming. So what can you do for me? Was let's start with this. Would there be an offer? That is less than your cap pulled starting salary over multiple years, that you'd be open to or would definitely be qualifying offer at that point qualifying offers about seven and a half or the couple that's the capital. What is your qualifying offer? Well, since you just sent me the paperwork a bit ago no doubt about three point six million. So is there something I mean, we're, we're not going to give you a starting salary above that cap, hold. So this is there anything do we want to talk about options there? You know, something like, is it? You're talking about right out the cap hold. And go four or five years with the max races. I would do that now we would do three years twenty million. Yeah. All right. I will absolutely recommend to my client that he take that. Unfortunately, he will not be taking that he's going to take the qualifying offer. Okay. And it's one year three point six million. He said, well, and that gives the wizard some some more flexibility to with, with all these people telling my client that he'd get fifty or sixty million out there, clearly, it was the fact that he was restricted and teams are just afraid that Washington would match that was preventing. Those offers from just rolling in left. And right. So as an unrestricted free agent next year really gonna cash it jazz. You said you had some thoughts for your room exception. Yeah. We'd like to talk to Ed Davis. I would never sign something as low as the room exception other than last year. I'm listening. I'm listening. I realized there was some I still got some competition here on the center market to NS cancer and. Robin Lopez still out there as well. Rashawn homes ESO we're thinking one year at the room exception, and what's my role there? My the primary backup center. And I mean we don't like we don't want to overload Rudy Gobert in terms of minutes during the regular season. So we think there's a, you know, a healthy role for you to play there and it's even possible, you know, we might play you guys together a little bit. This is not actually possible, but we're going to tell you that Quin. Snyder am I actually going to be allowed to go get an offense redone? Well, we'll make an exception any other offers for Davis. I probably the best center remaining on the market, here, depending on what you think Lopez, and Kanter bulls here, we have a nearly four million in cap space that we have left that we'd be willing to give you. Yeah. And you had to give up Robin Lopez capital there. I mean technically since you guys signed did not make the room exception. We did not make the room exception, signing official it. Sign hasn't been sent into the leak in US actually have more cap space in that. Don't you remind misread in this? I'm getting just under four million. No, I'm not gonna dissuade you too much then. Could you go a second year bulls until it's any reason why you wouldn't? I mean you're you've not just get a quality backup center under contract for another year. You tell we'll do a second year. We'll do a second year third year bulls player option, and you guys all ready signed Jo Michael Green, and you're Utah's offering me a bigger role on a winning team..

"He is he strong. I think tied Jerome is going to be a no doubt. Solomon be a player in the draft guide. We haven't compared to a taller Jose Calderon, Malcolm Brogdon, a grievous Vasquez, my buddy, Eric Weiss comparison to a Tomas Sadyrin's ski type like a better verse. Those guys are more sandwich. Sat around skis great athletes like three this also. That's a fluid players. They get what they want to go on the floor. I think tied room like borderline first-round pick, what you got anymore. Shutouts see when we get out here. Somebody who works in, like NBA sleep circle. Oh, yes. Yes. House Kevin billion the ringer has it was very sweet. One of the smartest basketball minds that I mean if he got his big break, he must pretty smart. He's eye for talent must be very high. Eric, Eric skirt. He knows hoops pub out. You Danny anyways, send out. Yeah. My guy Dylan winter. Okay. Like that. Yeah. Out of Belmont, six eight two hundred pounds. He showed basically every three point shot in the book during the NCAA tournament when he went off for like thirty some points. He had showed a little smooth step back. Three is a career forty percent. Three point shooter in his four years at Belmont. So, you know, he can stroke ball surprising, like hops he's not like the most athletic dudes laterally, but like you can get up there and says, some people might say he's sneaky athletic. Yeah. Some people might say, I think wind'll early. I haven't ranked twenty seven and I want to rank them higher. I think with his skill level as shooter, I think he looks like boy, on bogdonovich type and, and with his high Q and his size at six seven with a wingspan that can get buckets. I don't see him as. Yes, I mean boy on his more his developed into a ball handling by the window, twenty two years old. We Twenty-three as a rookie look manly. He's he plays hard on defense. I just want it'd be a shot. I wonder if he plays enough defense. That's why wave is horrid, though, at least like, he's not zero in and out think he's a he's on a bad athlete by any means. I, I think window projects is the NBA player because his passing because of the shooting, again, like he fits the criteria that Shamet type haiku guy who could shoot the hell out of the ball older guy. Yep. Older experience can come in and make a difference. One guy who comes to mind, somebody who is not ready to contribute at a high level is cameras..

"A lot of teams will like to go with a smaller center on the second unit specifically against the Sixers. I think sold could be really nice. You can't really go small against him his interior. He's going to be able to beat that guy up in the post and set guys up with his passing. So I like him as a way to prevent that counter. You know, if he if Joe Bolden is trying to guard him in the post, for example, it that's not really. Gonna work. So I think the way they're doing it now is pretty reasonable. But I think they need to hopefully, be able to get past guys egos and go with what's working in that particular playoff matchup Siachen at center three hundred thirty three possessions plus Twenty-three net rating. What do you think the reps acqusition of Jodie Meeks? Don't think he's a playoff player gives teams a place to attack defensively and small small pick and rolls. They just needed somebody else who could play a little bit who can bombs on threes. Danny green is really their only super reliable three point shooter outside of Cal Lowry at this point in time. You really look, oh, this is a can't leave him to guy. So I understand why they don't think you'll be better the place ready for the wiz. While just say similar story with Pat McCaw somebody asked if you'll be part of the rotation the playoffs. No, probably not. I mean, they have enough guards. So they don't need Patrick McCaw. Once they get healthy, and they're not healthy at all, right? Let's move onto the wizards. Here dating. Let's do it. The wizards are twenty four and thirty six five and ten since last fifteen in sixty twenty. The net rating sixteenth offense twenty-six defense, which is super depressing. I mean, that's way worse than I thought. They'd be thirty four wins puts them eleven in the east and they're down to a seven percent chance of making the playoffs. Good. Good good for them and good for us. A everybody wins by the wizards not making the playoffs at this point. I want to start this. This is a stat. I've had in here since for like a month because the just with the way in fifteen sixty have gone for Fred Katz? Tweeted out earlier, I have updated it. It's this bizarre thing with the wizards this year, they are now to an eight on the first night of back tobaks in seven and two on the second backtracks, which is usually when teams are worse. I have no good explanation. And they're only two first night wins said there were two eight that triple overtime game against Phoenix. And then the Cleveland cavilers that seems pretty dim random. It's so weird. So you're going to talk about the cetera question, you do a little bit of looking at that. Yeah. I did. So get asked how is Thomson Renske played should the wizards invest in with the cloud. John wall around and severance key. He's restricted, but not arenas a limited. Because this is third NBA season. This is also Sadyrin's he's age twenty seven season. So you're looking at..

"Maybe as Thomas Lansky better Renske, another one of these players who is hurt by the ill-fitting restricted free agency rules for older for older guys who come into the league he is twenty seven right now he will turn twenty eight early next season. But will be a restricted free agent with that super-low capital. I really like Sadyrin's ski, and I think he'll end up being undervalued by the market. But if you can get. Them at a number. You're happy with now. Sure. And that number to me his speaking with three billion. So it's qualifying offer will be a little under four. But something starting kind of a run there for maybe three years, especially I think you'd be tradable on that John wall. At a minimum is going to be playing a lot fewer minutes coming back from that surgery to remove the bone Spurs near as achilles and his head a number of surgeries already. Are you going to hit some news here real quick? Let's see if we can there's nothing too crazy. So that we can kind of run through these relative recouping. Yeah. So I think we could start in Chicago. I was there when the bulls got absolutely crushed by the Golden State Warriors. And then the next morning. They announced that Jim Boylan got a pay raise for both this season and next season for those who remember he was already under contract as an assistant head coach for next season. And now one million of his one point six million for the nineteen twenty season is guaranteed. Well, and that's. Not ridiculous. I mean, we saw the same situation with Larry Jew or he got paid more. And it seems likely drew will be retained after the season given how things have gone in Cleveland with the worst defensive rating relative to league average. I think that we've seen, but you know, with all they million guaranteed next year. It wouldn't preclude them from going in another direction, but it seems more likely given the bulls history that they would love to have a head coach under contract for one point six million. Given the fact that I'm not really aware of any coaches who are hired for the first time that are like make less than two point five. That's a screaming deal for the bulls. But they'll of course, still be paying Fred Hoiberg for next year. So might have to pay three coaches in Atlanta triumph, Princeton upgrade to probable about the plane during the bucks'll, we'll know whether he played obviously by the time, you guys listen to this and way deadman has been ruled out for that game against the bucks. He's just had a tunnel lower body injuries in his hawks career. This is an ankle sprain for him. They've been a lot better when he's been healthy though. I think he's been a part of their recent surge Boston. Aron. Baynes had that hand injury against the sun's. He's expected back in the next week or so the certainly missed him defensively. Thais just isn't strong enough to deal with a lot of the other larger centers, and we saw like wouldn't be doing my Christmas, for example. And then Jared Dudley bis Friday's game with a hamstring injury. Had an MRI. He's started rehabbing it, but it seems like it's going to be you know, at least two weaker or so for him. I haven't seen a specific diagnosis. But generally if the hamstring issues bad enough that you have to have an MRI you have to leave the game. It's it's not gonna be quick Reacher learning. It's junior has a sprained MC L. So he will be out two to four weeks that was from January tends to a couple of days ago and Kevin love his fellow extension partner this past offseason might not be back until after the all star break. So if he doesn't play for the trade deadline that we can assume that he will be Cleveland cavalier, then and we'll see what the goals are. This is kind of parallels with love the porzingas situation except that love is locked into his contract. But the same idea of like. How much do you want to get out there and show that you can play versus worrying about injury and other stuff though, of course, what they're recovering from his is different. Dallas juju Berea, unfortunately tour his right achilles tendon against Minnesota at three four who's been maybe a little bit less sufficient that people realizing, but a lynchpin of that suck unit for quite some time..

"Ronco it's gonna be a nervous toronto crowd we thought that maybe the raptors you know it kind of salt this they're doing taking care of business one verse eight now that is no longer the case the raptors are definitely quite capable of losing games in the series that is quite turn i think they really what they need to do is they gotta go out and set the tone defensively david better defense than the wizards stu and as long as they can again keep them out of transition they should be all right in this series because the wizards shouldn't be able to score on them in the half court but you know if you're gonna give this much transition they can lose any of these games what i kept thinking about during the fourth quarter of this game was this idea that malcolm guelleh's articulated of david strategies and so there are certain things that you should do when you are an underdog to give yourself the best chance to win and what was so weird about this game was toronto was doing some of those even though they're the better team they were going for too much for offense if rebounds they were everyone while they were gambling they had some weird offensive possessions where they were like trying to draw fouls all that kind of stuff and you're better than them just trust that you're better than the other team yeah it's just a question of you know are they really right it's a well one other thing for the wizards that i want to mention i've been increasingly frustrated that in the early games of the series one the wizards were looking to find something tilana was out playing thomas editorinchief and so yeah you go with that you know budgets when lawson was not particularly good in this game saturday ski only played six minutes considering the way that the offense looked with him and sadyrin's key being a better basketball player than tylenol senate at this point scotty brooks has to go back in that direction.

"Do you read on national early plenty of room they're all of upstate a right next to captain curry was unresolved the right a bit of lieutenant gina smith are we see this with but it seriousness dole like this wizards team although light like bradley beal is probably better than all of those nasty bull's team that are tips have winning forty eight games of fortyseven games and people like harry doing as well the planet at one hundred ten percent every single night in an emotion mba teams aren't doing that and that effort alone is able to get you above unser frigate wings in the regular season but you'll see when you get to the playoffs would everybody's match your intensity and your best offensive player is neat fucking robinson that it doesn't work so you know that's conner of where i met with the sadyrin ski stuff while while target targets so we'll get yet that's i think it's not that i know you're saying it's not a ransom led wizards it's the bradley beal that was its bradley beer astronaut but but then it's otto porter is bradley beal and kelly oubre as otto porter like there's you know everyone moves up a wrong baghdad and that's that's is probably not what you want a home in the in the long term dole in the short term i do like the idea that it's giving them it's giving them confidence to know what more they can do in its giving a cheating theories lungs he's receptor to it it's giving wall confidence that they can do more and he doesn't have to do so much but then y'all to mike's point if he's not healthy or a die if he's got a 100 percent when he comes back and in the post season is that going to deter him from fitting into the style because you do because like mike said you are managing pain you're managing discomfort in moving around cutting all that stuff makes a lot more uncomfortable than it just standing around waiting for your turn as a player that is not exactly known for his off ball movement even when healthy so ryan said.

"Is lebrun iq going to offers a whole different kind of problem problem set for for the wizards yes absolutely so i just i actually and side to interrupt j i just to me i think that that's potentially not the case because i might have heard this on your podcast dane there's this point where gain was talking about karl anthonytowns and this one time that he switched defensively and he was like my instincts just kicked in and he was like well tom tibbet of never draws of that like a if i switch like that's a problem and questioning why that's the case so i think the reason why we're so while yesterday's sadyrin skis the size of a forward at least in terms of height but he's like a a he's sort of small forward sized rate and if you have him and you add bradley beal and kelly oubre and otto porter and markieff morris you can switch one through five marginally and i think defensively you don't really need someone who calls out rotations in the same way now look it would be great to have switch switch defense were tremont green in fact it would be the best defence in the league right but i do think though that you can get away with that in a way that if you don't have a quarterback for your defense and you're going to play pick and roll street upper and for you're going to ice or if you're going to try to stay in your man fight over screens i think though not having like a joke him no or something like that it's like deadly ethic you're basically screwed but i think that they just would hope that they could on some level protect the rim by just not letting people get to the rim it could i don't wanna ever just kind of closed door on guys doing better than they've done in the past are doing better than maybe when i was watching that that's the thing you know accounts every tv threegame but that's that's what i've seen to this point but the another part of why what the wizards were doing with atlantic was so effective versus the cavaliers was there are getting to the rim an office a will in so you do have to account for the formula both ends of the court in that.

"Razer there's a little chaotic i wish we were talking about you know infrastructure investments and and we were talking about tax reforms or a farm bill but instead we're talking about russia all the time is there a learning curve going from congressman to uh senator or is it basically the same murder i'm glad i spent time with a member of congress because i see some of the basic things like writing go in and and putting together an office i already had a play in fact the my whole house staff came over to the senate and the ad hoc there's with that with that with helpful um but there is still with these learning curve um in terms of uh how the senate lose work and how you can get things introduce that's it i've already introduced in passed a piece of legislation that's been signed into law so um very very fortunate to have great staff well let's talk healthcare uh the cdlr said this is not a good bill to the united states people what is the bill that is going to be uh propose in the senate what are you guys working on it well the democrats have not been asked to join the working group that there is working group uh with all republicans on it um better drafting a failing democrats have not been invited to join so i don't know what boy into the bill but it needs to be significantly different than the house failed because the house still will put a twenty three million americans out on the three thousand help the drive eight could potentially raise taxes on as many as seven he'll get sadyrin um a fight picking away their subsidy uh it's got medicaid uh and if you look at medicaid people they go that just four people thought this poor people uh it's also you know thirty one third of all nursing home residents uh are on medicaid and so it's people.
