"Too. Let's go. Well, and I love to the point because it is so true. It's such a delicate balance of just enjoying yourselves and having fun and then so locked in when it matters. And you can see it in their eyes when they're playing. It's like Asia is on a mission. It's awesome. Another person on a mission, Chelsea gray just absolutely what she's doing. I don't even know what the question is, I guess, other than like, have you seen anything like what Chelsea just did to the storm? You know, the only time I've seen something like it is Chelsea gray in high school. I grew up in Sacramento and she was going to a school in saint Mary's, which wasn't too far. And the Sacramento high school that was the biggest school in my city. Was going against Chelsea gray. It was at old kings arena old monarchs, arena, which we'll talk about. And Argo arena, you know, CIF championship, Chelsea gray was in her bag. She was doing exactly what she's doing now at like 17 years old. She was so good. She's always been so good. Even when she was at duke, I think a lot of people look at her and are like, oh, you know, are your point guard? Like you're tall, you know, maybe you're built a little different. Are you like the fastest person on the floor? It doesn't matter. She will eat you alive. And I think it goes with that focus, right? Like she put her team on her back. She said, hey, everybody jump on. I'm about to drill these shots real quick. Don't even worry about it. Don't even ask me to pass it. I'm gonna make these. And then we're gonna go to the finals. And I do think everybody was like, all right. And I just went with it. Because that's who Chelsea gray is. And as a spark span now, I got to witness that up close, you know, she's played in the Julie here in LA. She is just that person. She's that player. She has so much fight, so much grit in her. But it's also the, you know, what she said after that game. I put the work in. Like, I love when that happens. What players put the work in and they're reaping the benefits? That's how it's supposed to happen. And so what we're witnessing both from Asia and Chelsea is like, like I said, it's my time. I was put on this aces team with my leadership with my championship experience to carry this team to the finals. Yes, I have an MVP. Yes, I wasn't an all star. What the heck? How did that happen? She was not an all star this year. But she's carrying this team and it has been so fun to watch. I know I said this, I feel a little bit like a buzzkill. I said this a few minutes ago, but we were not giving Connecticut enough respect. And I don't want to get the disrespect narrative coming. Oh, God. We need to talk about the other team. This is not the only team with an MVP. I know, I forgot. I really forgot. Sorry. Sorry, Kurt. Hope you're listening. How can the sun as a team pull off this upset though? And what has to happen for them to win these finals? I think Alyssa Thomas is just going to have to be everyone up and then there's just no one left to play. No, I'm just kidding. But they're just going to have to, it's going to be toughness, right? If the aces come in after listening to this and they're like, wow, we're the best team ever. We don't have to worry about anything. That's not going to go well. Connecticut has this disrespect narrative. They have this, you know, where the tougher team, where the bad boys of the WNBA, nobody wants us to win. Nobody wants us to succeed. So they're going to come with already the biggest chip on their shoulder. The aces, they have to stay in line, stay polished, but any time the aces have a dip, any time they start turning the ball over. Connecticut, it's like the beast gets fed. They just get bigger and bigger. Off of turnovers, they are number one in the league of picking you apart, getting fast break points, disrupting your offense. And as long as the ASUS stay diligent, then I think that they win this, but as soon as Connecticut can smell the fear off the aces, they're going to pounce. And I think that's a big advantage. Anytime you slip up, Connecticut sun are there to capitalize on it. But for me, my biggest issue with the Connecticut is consistency. You have one game where you're near perfect. Game, what was that game for? I was like, where is this team been? This team is to be feared that they beat the Chicago sky so easily. And that's the team that the aces should fear. But you don't know which team is going to show up. Is that team going to show up? Or is it the team that couldn't make a layup in the ocean? Like which team is going to show up? I think again, my word, my theme is focus. When they were focused on making shots around the basket, they set a record for making shots around the basket. And that's the same focus that they're going to have to take to take down the near perfect multi headed beast of the aces. And I think that the physicality is going to be so important in the series too, because we looked at the games that Connecticut was able to pull out over Chicago. And I don't want to say, you know, it came down to refereeing or anything like that. But when the refs let them play, when the refs let them play, that's where Connecticut can really the sun can play their style, their brand of basketball, which is just so physical. And the aces don't necessarily have the depth to absorb all those hits, especially in the front court. Totally. So it's going to be so many guards versus so many front courts, so many bigs. And it's going to be an interesting matchup. And it's just seeing which style, but hopefully because the aces are in this game, we're going to force Connecticut to place a more fun style of basketball. Because we deserve that for the finals. We do. We totally do.

"A glass of wine. Oh my God. Exactly. Now, max can probably comment on this because he is an actor. This actor says, as an actor, you never, ever, ever give notes to another actor. If you think they're messing up a stage direction, definitely not a performance based note. If there's an issue, you take it privately to the director or the stage manager as a concern. And if you're right, they'll bring it up with him. What do you say to that? Absolutely. Absolutely. If you were the director, you'd be the director. Don't. It undermines what the director is trying to do. Yeah, exactly. Chef, you will, at some point, no matter how hard you try not to. Cry in the walk in freezer. Never acknowledge. Never acknowledge when someone is crying in the walk in freezer. I think that's I think that's probably right. I never saw it. It's a very stressful job. It is so stressful. But I hear it happens all the time. Cooking in a restaurant is the hardest I've ever worked in my life. I bet I bet it is for most folks. I work the kitchens and it is tough and finally, I'm a nanny. I have never wink wink, seen a baby's first steps, or heard their first words. They always seem to do it for their parents first, even though I'm with their children, all day long. All week long. That's wonderful, though. It is. That's kind. Yeah, that's very, very cut. It's pop and sherry. Now, let's open up the bobbin sherry, archive vault. So this is a news headline. I got this morning. Two men broke into a Sacramento high school and ate food. The joke has police aren't saying if they were suicidal or not. Who would do that unless you, unless you were going for like the jumbo sized cans of chocolate pudding? I guess. Right? What are the cookies? What else could you possibly want? What do you think of when you think back on let me go way back? Elementary school cafeteria. The elementary school that I went to in Wyoming, the lunch lady was a great cook. Now, some of the food was weird. She made these homemade yeast ray cinnamon rolls that to this day are among my favorite things ever. But this is the same lady that made us eat Mexican hats. And that was a tough day. But not everybody knows Mexican hat. Before I tell you what a Mexican hat is, when I tell you the ingredients, as a child, I was like, this is disgusting as an adult. I was like, this is culturally inappropriate. But when I look back at what she did out of a handful of really cheap crappy ingredients, I have to give her snaps. A Mexican hat is fry a piece of Bologna till the edges curl up, and then you put a dollop an ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes in the center of that, and then you melt some orange processed cheese over the top of the mashed potatoes, and the whole thing ends up looking like a sombrero. Mexican egg. Speaking of sombreros before we continue. I'm driving through this town. I haven't been to, but maybe once or twice in my life. It's a small town. And they got a Mexican restaurant called el sombrero. And I looked over and I went, that's the best. It's a good name. Is that the best you could do? Why do you think that's a good name? That is just such a. Because I know, I know exactly what I'm getting. If I'm driving down the road, and those exits on the freeway food and then it has the restaurant names. McDonald's, Burger King, hardee's, elsam brero. I know exactly what else sombrero is all about. Yeah, but it's kind of like elso brero could be owned by somebody who is not Mexican. Whoever owns it was targeting a certain kind of customer and it's not probably authentic, super duper authentic cuisine. Do you like crispy or soft taco shells? I like both. Yeah. I like both. I have to say though. I like the crispy better. I'm going to Todd's house for taco bar night. And I'm super excited about it. Nice. Are we having crispy and soft or one or the other? Not only are we having crispy and soft, but the crispy ones, you'll have regular hard shell tacos, or you'll have those Doritos locos flavored tacos. Taco night at Todd's house. What are they like? Well, they're like Doritos, but they're shaped like taco shells. Yeah, it's like a giant Dorito shaped like a taco shell. So if you like Doritos and you like tacos, you've got Doritos locos tacos. Exactly. I would go down when I was in 6th grade at lunch. I mean, I can see the cafeteria right now. Wasn't a big school is bigger than yours, though. And it seemed like every day it was carb city. Thinking back on it. I like carbs, but especially in a Catholic area. I mean, there was a lot of ravioli. We got ravioli once or twice a week. It's a cheap way to fill kids up. And then there's spaghetti. There was always a big urn tub of mashed potatoes. And some vegetables that have been steaming there since 4 o'clock the previous afternoon. Which I always passed on. And then at the end of the line, they had an ice cream box, and if you had enough money, we never get an ice cream. You are uptown. We never had that. Never had that. But we had some decent food. The one thing about school cafeteria is that strikes me as no matter what they were serving, the cafeteria always smelled the same. Yeah. And I can conjure that in my mind's nose and I can conjure that and almost get nauseous at the thought of that smell even today. This is the cleaning. No, it's vegetable soup and despair. That's what it is. Yes. So the cleaning stuff not so much. But there was just this icky, weird smell that it had no matter what cafeteria I go into, no matter what food they're serving, that is the smell you get. At my high school, Catholic high school, they had almost every day overcooked succotash. Succotash is Lima beans and corn. And if it's fresh out of the garden, it can be delicious. This was not. This was fresh out of the can. And they would cook it and serve it almost every day. And none of us would ever eat it. I think it was there because one of the things that we did a lot in our Catholic school that I went to was whatever was going wrong for us. We were instructed to offer our suffering up to the lord. I think that a succotash was to give us an opportunity to suffer for the lord. My mother used to say the poor souls in purgatory. Even they didn't want to eat at the max because it was gross. It was very tense in my middle school cafeteria because Larry, I liked Larry. He was the guy who was driving the shave. He could shave and he was driving in middle school. He'd stayed back so many times. In the winter time, the height of winter he would rub his butt against the wooden chair, Robert real fast, there was a lot of static electricity in the air. So he would charge his ass, and then he would walk up behind you and take his finger ever so delicately and touch it to your ear lobe and a spark would fly off and it would just about put you on the floor. I'm willing to bet you he's on his fourth ex-wife. I think so, yeah. Yeah. But women, women will date them though. Oh yeah. He's fun. He's got a good opening game. Yeah, right. He just can't go the distance. Put that ear thing after two, three years. They've had enough. It's bobbing shade. All right, listen up, y'all. Good morning. It's back to school. "All right. Good morning in his 6 38 here on your Monday, um which you know it might be raining Monday. Yeah. Didn't know where you are, Um which for for some people? Is going to be very much welcome. We'll chat, obviously, with the fine folks from the Weather Channel. Even a blue later and see what to expect there. All right. I was just checking this out. So over the weekend while you were doing whatever it is you were doing a California assemblyman. Who is now deleted it. I guess he finally deleted it by the name of David Chua tweeted out a photo of what he referred to his discarded packaging from a semiautomatic handgun. Um, it was, you know, the plastic shell that she would get. You know, when you buy like an electron IX products or something like that. The thing that she can't get open. Except with a cutting torch. So one of those and for anyone who's obviously bever bought a pistol. They don't come in that and specifically, Glocks, come Lots coming, eh? Little mini black, hard sided case. And not in clear plastic packaging, And the reason was is the city. It took a picture of it and literally written on it. Well, it does, say, Glock 19. It, says Glock 19, CEO to air Gun The guy tweeted a picture of a BB gun packaging to kids to child's toys, packaging. And Wanted to read you some of the comments, but the coward has deleted it. Believe it or not. In. I don't live in the state of California. So you all do whatever it is you're gonna do. Um, some people are because this guy's a big He's a big gun grabber anti gun guy. Some people think that if maybe you can tell the difference Between the packaging of a child's toy. And you know on actual firearm. Maybe you're not the best person to be proposing Legislations legislation about firearms, which is something this guy has done quite a bit of Hey, again. I don't know. Oh, look at this, and he This is great. Okay, so he deleted the original tweet. But then he tweeted this out. I just had the scroll, all right? So not Hey, I'm an idiot, blah, blah, blah. And here's what he wrote Heroes I deleted and earlier tweet that misidentified a Glock 19 air pistol. Well, not a semi automatic. It's still disturbing to see remnants of a weapon that can cause injury. What Especially in an area where young kids play. And while we're dealing with a surge of gun violence in San Francisco, do you know one of the reasons you're dealing with a surge of gun violence? Is you your your moon? Bat? D a there that she just elected. Keeps not prosecuting people. Because social justice It also going back to the main part. Well, not a semi automatic. It's still disturbing, disturbing to see remnants of a weapon that can cause injury. You're literally taking the red writer BB gun round here, sir. You realize that The you'll shoot your eye out. Especially in an area where young kids play. Yeah. Do you know what some kids play with BB guns? And pellet guns. I just I don't even know you know what? It's going back to. What? The story that Ross was explaining that you heard earlier. Um, where the you have this this network, claiming we're going to be suffering more PTSD in this country. Then even post World War two or I guess in this world and why that's absurd is it shows how weak we are, But, yeah, you know what If California's any example that may very well be the case? How many stories have you seen here? By the way. Over the last on, Obviously, I You know, I got a deep dig this crap for a living. But I've seen so many stories of people that are just like no, We're never never going to go out again. Without a mask or without goggles or any of the rest of it. This is the new normal and that percentage is more more than you think. They're finding out larger swaths of people just don't want to be out there. And How do I say this? Without coming. I don't want to sound insensitive. So I'll say it like this, um, good. Good. If you don't want to be out there good If if you Yeah. I understand if people are approaching it from a medical perspective. Like we did a story on a guy last week who had had co vid Had had been vaccinated. And who said that for the next quote, five years he's gonna double face mask and wear goggles. That's where That's insane, man. I mean, you can go ahead and do that. And again if you want to walk around, and I was in the face mask, I don't care in the sense that I'm going to say anything to you. Right. You can go ahead and do that. I just don't understand it. And in the now it makes the political theater of it all seem that much more absurd Whether it's Joe Biden doing it or the would you say the Wake County school board was all double. They were all masked and distance the other day during their meeting Mark, he likes to watch those meetings. Now they're all still there holding the meeting, and they're all six ft. Apart. The people on the board and you know they're vaccinated six FT Apart. They're all wearing masks. For what? It's theater. There's no reason for that. There's no science behind anymore, and I love however, the parents when I was showing up, people aren't putting up with the crap anymore. They know it's ridiculous. They're showing up. You know, you'll have somebody's mom. They're about to give her speech about how everything is stupid. Like all you need to. You need to put your mask on and big smile on her face. She was now I have a medical exemption one after the other after the other. It's fantastic. They smile, their like anyone, Dad? Medical exception and they're smiling and winking like you can't. So what you want? What do you do it? It's take your menu Looks Calitri. The head of the teachers union, the national one. Randi Weingarten, who remember was involved in writing. The CDC guidelines. Absolutely absurd, but So anyway, over the weekend, she's talking about how Remember, she came 180 degrees, along with Biden and Cooper. The switcheroo in the mass thing I've never seen so many politicians pivot so fast. It's like a chorus line. And and so Weingarten's like, Okay, Yeah, No, We need to get all the kids back in school. It's good and do that. And then over the weekend, I'm she's like, but we You know, we still want the little kids in Mass. We don't need them in Mass because teachers are exhausted and they deserve this one little thing. Uh, makes it a sense There's no and there's no science buying that you're insane. No, The answer is no. How about no. I think Josh has on his Twitter. Josh, One of our listeners has on his Twitter is and he put the starting its pin tweet. So how about we just say No. And then when they come up to us, we just say no again and go on with our lives. That's what we need to do. No, that's stupid. No. Remember that in school? Remember that remember bad? Actually, ironically enough in school being taught? Just say no. So now may use it. But hold on to that old now that one for a while. Uh, let's see here. This is they get just to show you how California so in on Friday in Elk Grove, California officers responded to a report of a possibly armed person in a suburban Sacramento High School. And discovered it was a student with a stapler. You read that again? Officers responded to a report of a possibly armed person at a suburban Sacramento high school on Lee to discover it was a student. With a stapler. Grove High and elementary School were locked down when the report came in Friday, and officers from multiple agencies were called in to assist. During the course of the investigation, Officers learned a student used a stapler. As a prop to act out a scene from a movie. Statement was open and reporting party believe they saw a weapon. You know, arguably had open stapler looks less like a firearm. I guess I don't know unless he's I guess it's half of what he's holding like that. Departments of the incident is turned over to school administration to address As there was no criminal conduct. So what are they going to do? Are they going to punish the student? Probably right. They probably will. They punish kids for fingers, and they punish kids for Pop tarts. Step sure as hell absolutely. I'm wondering what scene in the movie and what movie But, yeah, they brought a whole school district in the.
