Thanks for listening by Tyson. NATO's chicken bold flavorful chicken's necks. This is the Dan Le Batard show with this to spot CASS. Uh Billy what do you mean you think would make a good Santa vast. I'd like I like to walk that back a a little bit if I could because I feel like people aren't really going to fully understand what I'm saying here. I said that I think I saw the art of coaching yesterday. And I said that I think Ulla check would make a good Santa and I want to walk that back. I think he would make a great Santa hold on a second the art of coaching here. How many have you seen it How many of you have seen it okay? So we've got a while everybody what I was there opening night. Man Wait a minute. Are you kidding me. You guys always say you're gonna go see things and you never. I say you never go and actually see them. You're telling me everyone saw Bella check in Savin sitting around talking Yup. I didn't have to go anywhere. Sat on my couch was amazing. Why did we raise as our hands like we were in school on radio? I was actually doing something else. I didn't mean raise my hand going into it. I was clearly the most excited for it and I haven't gotten around. Jokic told me last night was the night. Yeah just ended up not being the night. Can I ask you guys something in the modern age of entertainment options. Do you find that you're falling behind that you simply can't watch most of what you want to get to. Everyone's telling me to watch the watchman I'm I'm still not don was succession. It's it's and then at least I appreciate what the man delorean's them because it's like one episode of Week and I'm like this is refreshing. I don't feel the pressure of being exploded down. Yeah yeah and I feel like everyone does what I do. which is you have in your phone? A little notepad restart writing things down and you want to get you. Don't get any of it. The list just grow. How long as your? How long has your wish list on things that you put away in a queue to watch law day Islam I've had milk on my dvr since two eight? Yep a mine is long. I just can't can't find it anyway. I'm sorry billy I interrupted you. You were telling US why Bill belichick would make a great mall. Santa so I was watching the art of coaching. And I wasn't sure how I'd feel about them. I was interested and obviously these two guys are at the top of what they do. And they're you know they're geniuses in their own crafts that's right and for whatever reason bill belichick came off as super likable nick. Sabin Kinda came off as Nick Sabin like. I'd see him kind of the coaching clips. That they'd shown one is like yeah. That's that's what I expect from Nick. Sabin I didn't dislike him for watching it but bill belichick. I was like you know what this just seems like a guy like. He's just a guy I hang now with him. I feel like he'd be Santa and when he's with his family he's like a totally different person. You just like to listen to this jolly guy talked to billy. He's a jolly guy. No Oh you have you. Have you seen it. Oh Jolly Guy. I'll watch right now. Jolly Guy Billy is right. He is jolly. It's GonNa Change Your Perspective on Bill. Belgium Sabin Dan they show him on the silent. He always looks like he just had a bunch of sour patch. Kids are warheads but you see him talking with his players and he's like just super supportive that come on guys. You're better than this. But he has scallon is facing like. Oh my God. He's probably saying these horrible things just like I'll leave in you and it's like Whoa Bill. Really Nice Guy Sometimes cheech. Maybe we're getting to the bottom. That not sure on that but really nice guy. I didn't buy the opening scene. That's two guys was talking about yesterday. In the opening scene they walk into savings officer visit Alabama and they kind of give a looked all the guys all the TV people like hey give us like five ten minutes before we record we would want to say what's up Chris. There was no Bell Jack. Dodoma get out. Yeah and then they do and they're like okay. We'll turn off the cameras except one of them and then they sit down and you'd think that that would be to get out of here. We want actually have some personal conversation. They get right in taxes the nose so it's really odd so stugotz to that the first scene there nick savings office which I thought was weird. That bill belichick was like everybody get Outta here but even that Dan he's like Hey You know we. We may want to talk to each other. Spend a couple minutes together. And they're like so. Do you want us to leave. New like Maybe we might want that to happen. But he wasn't forced to like get fatty fatty or I'm bill belichick which I know what you're thinking. That's what he does now what he does now what he does just We may want a couple and then they started talking about. So what did you do with the cornerback on that play. Oh I saw this play out days and it was so strain on the wall they care about and your family. This is We've talked about this before. Right those coaches sometimes. It's not even even in their family. We've talked about how obsessive that job is how these guys are obsessive. Compulsive eighteen hours a day. Got To work harder than the next guy because Same Attitude Steven naismith articulated in that G. Q.. Magazine piece. That gave Stu gods goosebumps get that quote micro the same idea of I if if I'm resting that other coaches beating me and gaining an advantage The thing it's not surprising to me at all that Bella check can. Ns often when he goes on his boat with Jimmy Johnson and they're drinking beers. The conversations between them are are loose and Free Bella check just recently recently in these last two pieces the NFL network and this one that you guys are watching on HBO. He's given himself more freely in terms of putting himself the votes in front of the cameras and talking about the things that he wants to talk about the fire him up like football history and top one hundred players. Bella Check has little to God's in it he wants to do the top player. Who Does it? Oh you think you want to Co host the show with us when we potty. Maybe maybe we can catch him like dietrich just shirtless clevelander Interpol. That's my boy told to G. Hey wait a minute. Train is Dontrelle Willis. What do you mean billy? You're going to tell but I can imagine that what he did is simply simply get near famous guy and just want things from him. One hundred and fifty percent so after the show is over. He was uncertain if I was able to turn on the TV you to watch and no one else was responding and I handle that. It's my responsibility here at so I got his number gave him mind. We haven't stopped actually nonsense by the way we've already been on it and you're missing the key. Part of the story is after you get Derek Dietrich's number as our social media coordinator. He turns the corner. You come in here all right. How did we get him as a video guys? How do I get? I do that as soon as he gets the number goes. I gotTa go out stupidity. But he said I gotTa Talk to Dylan misquotes as if that means anything really say that yeah to go. We'll get into more want more. I want more and eventually we'll get to these stephen. A Smith quotes. Check and Savin except for Mike Ryan and Roy who is now vigorously leash shaking his head. No but while it's not everybody we've got three people here and I will take that is in everybody because this show is very rarely prepared to talk about anything that it just happened as a group. We rarely find the places where three people could talk about anything that just happened in pop culture because all of us are falling behind every day there too many anything to watch and we cannot keep up and it is it is the golden age of television streaming and the ability to get whatever content. You want whenever it is that you want it and they're simply too much of it and none of us can keep up so three people watched what just came out and stu gods just boasted and we're still waiting for for him to get to those Peyton. Manning shows he just boasted. I saw the night it came out. Got a first dibs on Bella check and save and talking yes and he said that Sabin did something. There was one moment in the in the show. That Sabin did something that came off his ugly. I am telling you if you watch this thing for the most part art you're GonNa Fall in love with Bill Belichick and Nick Sabin. You really will but there was a part where saving is talking about how ballot check is one of maybe two coaches in in the NFL. who anytime he drafts? A player from Alabama. He will call Nick. Sabin or fly to Nick Sabin and discuss said player. There's no way he is taking him unless Nick Sabin says yes. That's a guy you should take and Sabin was getting angry. Upset that the other thirty coaches in the NFL didn't do that and he went on to tell ballot check had they called me I would have told them. Hey because they take some of my players sitting there going what you took that guy I want you call me. If you called me I would have told you. Hey good player. But maybe he's an off the field issues and that part I think got a lot of people upset upset. Why does no one call me? Maybe because they weren't on the Cleveland browns staff with your new. You when you were twenty years old you have that relationship with Bill Belichick. Why doesn't anybody? I seem so approachable. Why does it anybody reach out to me I think it? NFL coach could feel comfortable calling nick. Sabin and saying hey tell me about this player and saving comfortable calling. Nick Sabin sabe Belgium in two other coaches according to save. And I I I actually I think the coaches are dumb for not calling at like. That's the way I took that. I didn't take that as save it on his high horse. I was like what. What are these coaches doing drafting players? At least not trying to reach out to him. I took it as listen. If you call me I'll tell you the truth about the player. I don't know if that's what Nick Sabin should be doing like like those guys who came to Alabama played for him. He's trying to advance their careers. He's going to tell you all the bad stuff they do. He said he would. He said I'm just going to tell you the whole story. I'll tell you the good stuff and if there's some bad that's up I'll be honest like here's the part actually seemed like he was being genuinely honest. Here's the thing you guys don't know about Nick. Sabin than we learned he's An and and but guy and he told us that he likes when people tell him and because and using means a good things coming after but after the but always a bad thing and he's found out that the but guys after the but always always bad and it always ends up being real about the second scenario in which signed up to play for Alabama and get my career to a place that I get a getting drafted drafted in the NFL. And Nick. Saban's going to say bad things about me when I'm trying to get a job. Yeah you shouldn't have shown up time Nick Sabin did not I sit well with me. I think he should just lie. Just anyone that was on Alabama. He's a perfect person. Yeah we don't get paid. Oh then you lose credibility the kid comes the Alabama. Okay worth really when you say. On this many years ago go when we first started the show nationally at the clevelander. And these guys were just young up and coming producers Stu Gods was a go getter back then. A literal go getter lesean McCoy was getting dropped by the pool and nobody went to go. GET HIM SO. Stugatz chased him down the street unsuccessfully as it turns out a revisionist genesis history. Billy actually did go down and try to speak with Shawn Mccoy and he said no which was very unsatisfactory right. And so because it doesn't take no for an answer chase the Shawn McCoy down the street. But yesterday Chris emboldened strong went down and got an oily bronze shirtless Derek. Derek Dietrich From the Cleveland or pool The last time somebody came through here was when we laid that that line of beer cans down the hallway to see if we could lure gronk out of his room where we just had. We were just leaving in the hallway to see if we could get grant. But they got they ensnared Derek Dietrich trick and then Stugatz immediately went to work just wanting things from Derek Dietrich in a way that I mean billion Chris have no shortage of experience variance with gross. Do God's and they were appalled they were like throwing up in their mouth a little bit after the segment. Derek Super Nice. He was super excited to have done what he just did it. So he's like Oh man. This is after my career. Something I might WanNa get into into Gotcha a buddy. You're good at this. I can help you get your number Baba just so like overly like smarmy whereas gross. Yeah well he was asking for help and no one was offering any sort of hell. That's why even though I had to leave in tape. An interview with Dylan escalates. Mickey I still. I still came through for Dietrich and we haven't stopped texting yet. Get them the video. No no he said you guys took care. The one of my favorite parts of yesterday with Derek Dietrich was right after the show had ended. Derek Dietrich stands up and says so when's that GONNA air. I was like it just did. Ah Favorite part was walking him to billy's computer to actually like put on proud display the fact that dietrich shirtless has been billy's background around for years. Well that's the thing we weren't joking. People thought we were joking. There were two things in yesterday's show that we were not joking about. Chris has borrowed underwear from billy that were under his his desk and billy was screensaver on his phone or computer. It's a desktop wallpaper on his computer and we put the I think the available on her instagram at Lebatardshow on instagram he points to and in the background of that photos Christian Yelich and Dietrich Goes Oh look over there is the MVP and himself he's like MVP most valuable body the guy what else. What else did you guys out? He really just hang hung out here long enough to get the number which is what he wanted. And I'm telling you as suit like within seconds of getting the numbers have gotta go miss quits and then just like these guys will handle the rest. Yeah he just he gets high off of getting any number anyone honestly like in the grand scheme of things this is Bella. Check taping the the bengals. Is it not the get this Li- like some video social media coordinator who will stop at nothing to get any number. Burn his phone. He's everybody's done playing baseball. This is what he wants to do and I was just you know offering some help I mean little. Does he know he's hosting stupidity with me next week. You want to feel good about this so so after you left after you left. We're like Oh yeah we'll get the video. How do we send it to you? Whatever he didn't give his number anyone else he said I guess number sues got it? He wouldn't give anyone also also digital money. Traffic's okay so I want to get into this with you guys because invariably what happens is one of these players are athletes will pay attention attention to Stugotz for a small amount of time. Whether it's Dan Uggla or Laurence Maroney but they all get sick of him and they all changed their numbers Adam Gates right now Adam case aces was bothering him this week. peppering him with tax trying to get him to bid on Flam flam brands art. Yeah like I what he will over asking ask and continually over ask until these people are out of his life someone else. I don't worry Dan. We warned Derek Dietrich what was coming in full transparency parents. He'd been texting him on morning saying that. That he has got Scott's is back that we don't know what we're talking about two ws credit though he's like that's all right. I WANNA WANNA do this house allies because he told me when we were out there like the gas gas got back to me. He said you're an idiot and then has the phone and I see that there's no reply from gaze at all you just been. I'm texting gays hoping for a response. Who knows what's real respond ditches wrote to me? Hey Bro I've got your back. Don't listen to them L. O. L. Glad I was able to help Dan and street cred with the clean up. You're always welcomed the ride and Tam with me. I well I will write it down when you drink it as long as you give me something. You're always welcome to ride and Tan with mean Eh. He really pointed at his shirtless. Torso on your screensaver. This is the thing that I haven't. How how is this escaping my attention until today you guys are telling me that a factual thing that happened in this world? Is that Major League Baseball player. Who We've discussed in various segments? We've said of him. He should just play in body paint that he should not that he likes his body so much that he should not wear a uniform he should simply be allowed unlike any other player in baseball to play in in body paint. You're gonNA tell me that human being out of nowhere. Yesterday was the only person tanning by our pool. You're going to tell me that that human being came up here and actually actually pointed at your computer screen where you are the only person in America who has that picture unless maybe teenage girls maybe teenage girls but not even his parents like nobody open. Has that picture as their screen saver inside. I I will grant you that. It's odd at the time we had a whole movement going on at the time when I sent it. It's so I was at the game. I was excited. I was like you know what this is a bad picture. I'm going to put this thing. And then we had a short time here. That never took off Dan where we wanted to do something called tank tops Fridays. Because as of this where we were just gonNA wear tank tops every Friday the show off our arms and we were gonNA wear Derek Dietrich shirts as like an homage to him and since then I haven't changed the background Akron my computer to the point that I honestly and this is ridiculous but I have so many things open. I don't I forgot that. Was the background my computer until Anthony was like. Hey isn't that the background or the computer. I'm Mike is it and I closed and I'm like Oh my God. I hope he doesn't come in here and see it and sure enough. They went immediately. And you guys are telling me okay for the audience that doesn't know there's a real factual thing that happened. Is that you the only human being on earth the only one on earth who has a screen saver a game winning hit from the marlins that resulted in Derek Dietrich running around a major league baseball field shirt in like meaningless July game in two thousand six. The only person that Mike Ryan then brought him to your computer computer and he stared at. It stared at it lovingly and with Christian Yelich in the background actually said there's the MVP and here's the MVP the and called himself the most valuable body super facts. "At IBM problems inspire us to push the world forward. That's why so many people work with us on everything from city traffic to Shen plastic smart loves problems. Ibm A. B. M. Let's put smart to work visit. IBM DOT COM slash smart to learn more. This is the Dan Le Batard show with this to spot. CASS billy. What do you mean you think would make a good Santa vast? I'd like to. I like to walk that back a a little bit if I could because I feel like people aren't really going to fully understand what I'm saying here. I said that I think I saw the art of coaching yesterday. And I said that I think politic would make a good Santa and I want to walk that back. I was clearly the most excited for it and I still haven't gotten around. Jokic told me last night was the night. Yeah just ended up not being the night. Can I ask you guys something in the modern age of entertainment options. Do you find that you're falling behind that you simply can't watch most of what you want to get to. Everyone's telling me to watch the watchman I'm I'm still not gun was succession. It's and then at least I appreciate what the man Delorean's through them because it's like one episode of Week and I'm like this is refreshing. I don't feel the pressure of being slowed down. Yeah yeah and I feel like everyone does what I do. which is you have in your phone? A little notepad restart writing things down and you want to get to you. Don't get any of it. It delicious growth. How long as your? How long is your wish list on things that you put away in a queue to watch law day Islam I've had milk on my dvr since two thousand eight a might as long? I just can't can't find it anyway. I'm sorry billy I interrupted you. You were telling US why Bill belichick would make a great mall. Santa so I was watching the art of coaching. And I wasn't sure how I'd feel about them. I was interested and obviously these two guys are at the top of what they do. And they're you know they're geniuses in their own crafts that's right and for whatever reason bill belichick came off as super likable nick. Sabin came off as Nick Sabin. Like I'd see him kind of the coaching clips. That they'd shown one is like. Yeah that's Nick Sabin. That's what I expect from Nick Sabin. I didn't dislike him for watching it. But Bill Belichick. I was like you know what this just seems like a guy like. He's just a guy I hang now with him. I feel like he'd be Santa and when he's with his family he's like a totally different person. You just like you're listening to this jolly guy talks which he's a jolly guy. No Oh you have you. Have you seen it no no. He's a jolly guy. I'll watch right now. Jolly Guy Billy is right. He is jolly. It's SORTA change your perspective on Bill. Do you want us to leaving. He's like Maybe we might want that to happen. But he wasn't forced to like get fatty fatty here. I'm bill belichick which I know what you're thinking. That's what he does now. What he does now what he does? Just we may want to come and then he started talking about. So what did you do with the cornerback on that play. No I saw these days so strain on the wall. They care about and their family. That gave Stu gods goosebumps. Get that quote Mike. The same idea of I if if I'm resting that other coaches beating me and gaining an advantage The thing it's not surprising to me at all that Bella check can ns soften when he goes on his boat with Jimmy Johnson and they're drinking beers. The conversations between them are are loose and Free Bella check just recently recently in these last two pieces the NFL network and this one that you guys are watching on HBO. He's given himself more freely in terms of putting himself the vote in front of the cameras and talking about the things that he wants to talk about that firearm up like football history and top one hundred players. Bella Check has little to God's in it he wants to do the top choir. Who Does it all you think you want to Co host the show with us when we spotted he may? Maybe we can catch him like dietrich just shirtless clevelander Interpol. That's my boy D. train. Yeah it's told to say wait a minute. Train is Dontrelle Willis. What do you mean billy? Don't start pastore with his friendship with Dietrich. It was so ridiculous all embarrassed embarrass those tried. That'd be a nice guy. Hold on we will get to these Stephen. A Smith quotes in this G. Q.. Story was a very good story in G. Q.. How many people do you think Noah G. Q.? Since toy let's go around the room we why are we so raising hands on radio. It's great quality. I know what it is last two guys. Do you know what it is. No all right. It's Gentlemen's quarterly and very good. Dan Thanks a magazine. That is your magazine thank you. You're welcome everybody. I'm pleased that I could do that for you before we get to these phone stuff but we should. We should put that on the poll though. Because I I'd like to know how many people no UNQ- sands for what's S. I mean Si si very intrigued the G. Q.. Magazine issues are there. I think there's more than four now. There are more than four right making. That's a bad day W doesn't even work monthly. GM The twenty five year because a quarter twenty five cents and Cook. Oh here we go and I wanted to sidetrack into what it is that they were doing but dietrich yes so what happened yesterday. Did you really say in the middle. What were are we talking? We were doing dietrich. Next pause pressing pause on that discussion guys shouldn't moving over to another top eight at a shocking upset here on the one. That's paying attention. Listen to me. I wanted to get to dietrich. Because has it changed. To God's it takes precedent over the Stephen a Smith boats. Something takes presses. Stephen a Smith quotes are GONNA have to wait. Because I prefer to hear billing Chris talk about how gross to God's was yesterday got explain to the audience yesterday. Cincinnati reds player. Derek actually free agent three agent Derek. Eric Dietrich was spotted by somebody here by the pool at the Cleveland or a lot of strange people are headed toward the clevelander for the Super Bowl and and NBC. Is here this weekend then for reasons that don't make any sense today. Textiles did NBC. I feel like to ask you for permission content air. We will get to them in a second but dietrich was getting son by the pool and somebody spotted him. Who spotted him Chris? I know those traps anywhere and Chris. Cody went downstairs. Got The shirtless dietrich for us it was the highlight of the show. Yesterday spent five glorious central minutes with US and In the middle of it billy Lee and Chris Sauce to God's go maximum stu gods as he does around anyone who has fame. I don't even know the stories. You're going to tell but I can imagine that what he did is simply simply get near famous guy and just want things from him. One hundred and fifty percent so after the show is over. He hung out here a little bit. And we were talking going back and forth and STU gods that's all of a sudden became the social media coordinator for this show at because they wanted to get a clip of his appearance on the show so they could put it out absolutely derek. I'll get it to you. Give me your number Gloria Korea. I need your cell phone number and as soon as we get that clip out as soon as I put it out. I'll text you the link. I'll text you the thing. I'll tell you how to get out. You know. Any of this works like it while he was getting his number to text him to let him know there was it was already out. It had already been put out by the people that actually do this stuff. Just wanted that number. So it's telling him anything that go. Oh Yeah No. Oh absolutely but I'll I'll make sure that they guys we need to guys guys and he's putting the talk guys guys get that out there. NEEDS IS GONNA fly. Please if okay if I may okay what Derek wanted my friend Eric. My very good friend Eric. What he wanted was he wanted video for his family he was he was uncertain if I was able to turn on the TV you to watch and no one else was responding and I handle that? It's my responsibility here at so I got his number gave him mind that we haven't stopped texting nonsense by the way we've already been on it and you're missing the key part in the story is after you get Derek Dietrich's number as our social media coordinator. He turns a corner. You come in here all right. How did we get him as a video guys? How do I get? I do that as soon as he gets the number goes. I gotTa go out stupidity but he said I gotTa Talk to Bill Misquotes as if that means anything really say that yeah to go. We'll get into more want more. I want more and eventually we'll get to these stephen. A Smith quotes. You are the grossest and you know oily. He was when he came in here and he was the second an oily person in the room. Thanks to God says I'm learning about how his interview with Mickey One yesterday for Stupidity Miscue. It's the guy from ziprecruiter. He he was asking him questions and Mike said you have to get this thing. I'm like I wrote that question again. Believe the asking someone else had written him because it was too good of a question. I thanks Mike thanks. Everyone Love Billy. Billy had a line in the first segment there where he just knocked in with the be careful. It expires on Mike Milk. Joke the eight and we all trampled it all. I had to ask them. Who got the hockey next leg? I thought it was his the show really ninety five percent of the jokes. Billy makes you get the glory for anyway. That's correct billy. Just throws his hand openshaw. PA- shod bring attention to me ninety five a little high give Christian MHM credits. Give yourself some credit bike pie chart. How's it going anywhere? ESPN radio all throughout the day. Where's Allison so Chris? And billy were mortified. I would say I don't think I'm misrepresenting Their viewpoints on this many years ago when we first started the show nationally at the clevelander. And these guys were just young up and coming producers STUGOTZ was a go getter back then. A literal go-getter Leshan McCoy was getting drinks by the pool and nobody went to go get him. So stugatz chased chased him down the street unsuccessfully as it turns out a revisionist history. Billy actually did go down and try to speak with Shawn Mccoy and he said no which was very unsatisfactory satisfactory. Right and so because God doesn't take no for an answer. He chased the Shawn McCoy down the street. But yesterday Chris emboldened strong went went down and got an oily bronze shirtless. Derek Dietrich From the Cleveland or pool The last time somebody came through here was when we laid that that line of beer cans down the hallway to see if we could Lord gronk out of his room where we just had. We were just leaving bait in the hallway to see if we could get grant. But they got they ensnared Derek Dietrich and then still got some went to work just wanting things from Derek Dietrich in a way that I mean billy and Chris have no shortage of experience with gross students and they were appalled. They were like throwing up in their mouth a little bit you know after the segment derrick. WHO's Super Nice? He was super excited to have done what he just did. So He's like Oh man this. Is You know after my career. It's something I might WanNa get into. Gotcha a buddy. You're good at this. I could to help you get your number Baba you know just so like overly like smarmy razz gross. Yeah well he was asking for help and no one was offering any sort of hell so I even though I had to leave and tape an interview with Dylan iskoe. It's Mickey I still. I still came through for Dietrich and we haven't stopped texting sits video. Oh no no no no. He said you guys took care. One of my favorite parts of yesterday with Derek. Dietrich was right after the show ended. Derek Dietrich stands up and says so when's that going to air air. It just did. My favorite part was walking him to billy's computer to actually like put put on display the fact that dietrich shirtless has been billy's background for years. Well that's the thing we weren't joking. People thought we were joking. There were two things in yesterday's show that we're not joking joking about. Chris has borrowed underwear from billy that were under his desk and Billy's was it his screensaver on his phone or computer. It's a desktop wallpaper on his computer and we put the show. I think the Surrey Salable on her instagram at Lebatardshow and instagram he points and in the background of that photos Christian Yelich and Dietrich Goes Oh look over over there is the MVP and he points to himself he's like MVP most valuable body. That's my guy what else to do. What else did do achieved you guys out? He really just hang hung out here long enough to get the number which is what he wanted. And I'm telling you ED suit like within seconds of getting numbers music all right got to go and then just like these guys will handle the rest and he gets high off of getting any number anyone adler it's like in the grand scheme of things. This is Bella. Check taping the bengals. Is it not this Li- like here's some video. Social Media The accord stop at nothing to get any number and his phone. He's when he's done playing baseball. This is what he wants to do and I was just you know offering some help. I mean little those no. He's Co hosting stupidity with me next week. You want to feel good about this so after you left. You don't know this. I don't think after you left. We're like Oh yeah we'll get the video. How do we send it to you? Whatever he didn't give his has number anyone else he said? I guess to my numbers got it. He wouldn't give anyone else does digit. This is what he traffics in. Okay so I want to get into this with you guys because invariably what happens is is one of these players are athletes will pay attention to STU gods for a small amount of time. Whether it's Dan Uggla or Laurence Maroney but they all get sick of him and they all changed their numbers Adam Gates right now Adam. Gay Students was bothering him this week. peppering him with tax trying to get him to bid on Flam Flam combranch art. Yeah I what he will over ask and continue over ask until these people are out of his life. Someone else Dan Dan. We warned Derek Dietrich what was coming in full transparency. Well he claims that dietrich been texting him all morning saying that that he has got God's his back that we don't know we're talking about these credit though he's like that's all right. I want to do this. You got also lies because he told me when we were out there at the gate got back to me. He said jared idiot and then he hands me the phone and I see there's no reply from gaze at all. You just been texting gazed hoping for a response who knows what's real respond ditches wrote to me. Hey abro I've got your back. Don't listen to them. Ll Glad I was able to help. Dan Street cred with clean up. You're always welcome. Derided Tam with me. I will I whale rider Dan with you as long as they give you something. You're always goes. Welcome to ride and Tan with me. He really pointed at his shirtless. Torso on your screensaver. This is the thing that I happen. And how how is this escaping my attention until today you guys are telling me that a factual thing that happened in this world is that Major League Baseball player who we've discussed best in various segments. We've said of him. He should just play in body pain that he should not that he likes his body so much that he should not wear uniform he should simply be allowed unlike any other player in baseball to play in body paint. You're gonNa tell me that that human being out of nowhere. Yesterday was the only person tanning in by our pool. You're gonNa tell me that that human being came up here and actually pointed at your computer screen where you're the only person in America. Who has that picture unless maybe teenage at age girls maybe teenage girls but not even his parents like nobody has that picture? Is Their screen saver. I I will grant you that. It's odd anti war. The whole movement going on at the time when I sent it so like I was at the game. I was excited. I was like you know what this is a bad as picture. I'm GonNa put this thing and then we had a short time here. That never took Gough Dan where we wanted to do. Something called tanktop Fridays. Because of this where we were just gonNA wear tank tops. Every Friday schoff our arms and we were gonNA wear Derek Dietrich shirt as like an image to him and since then I haven't changed the background of my computer to the point that I honestly and this is ridiculous but I have so many things open. I don't I forgot that. That was the background my computer until Anthony was like. Hey isn't that the background or the computer I'm like is it and I closed. I'm like Oh my God it is like I hope he doesn't come in here and see it and sure enough. They went immediately. And it's telling me okay for the audience that doesn't know the real factual thing that happened. Is that you the only human being on earth the only league one on earth who has a screensaver a game winning hit from the marlins that resulted in Derek Dietrich running around a major league baseball field shirt in like meaningless July game in two thousand six the only person that Mike Ryan then brought him to your computer and he stared at it stared at it lovingly and with Christian Yelich in the background actually said there's the MVP and here's the MVP and called himself the most valuable body super facts. How much of a chance did you give catastrophe by Rob Delaney? He's brilliant his His writing his acting. He's really funny His story is heartbreaking. it's got some tragedy in it involving the loss of a child. But I told you to watch catastrophe on Amazon prime and you thought I was telling you to watch a dwayne. The Rock Johnson type of movie where he was jumping from skyscraper skyscraper ice scraper avoiding catastrophes. Yes but it's a relationship show that's That's funny and how much of a chance did you actually give it before you quit on it. One episodes well listen you presented. I mean this show just by title alone as you just pointed out. I figured like you know big su-nam Army's coming in and taking out an entire town and everyone's fighting for their lives and gathering all their belongings and that's what I thought I was headed to and I would've stayed with that forever but this Whoa uh-huh curveball. He's mad at me because of that. I love that show. Though it was fantastic it came to an end and it was beautiful ending to the entire show I. He's pretty popular over in London. Because it sort of tells a story of his life not one hundred percent but he lives over there he's married to an Englishwoman and yet his story he is is tragic and he has an amazing outlook on all of it. The reason I was angry was because I'd convince my wife that this was a good show. It is a good show. I know but I told holder. Dan told us this was a good show and she said what is it about and I said a catastrophe. I think it's about people crazy thing. And so we watched launched. She loved it. I hated it and she wanted to stay with it. And so when I say an episode there were probably five or six more. I just wasn't paying attention. She was sitting there though. Mike Ryan and McConnell are fighting over baby iota. I don't understand isn't me saying the baby Yoda's overrated and your indignant about the idea of baby. Oda How I didn't know that she thought that about. I'm not sure my misrepresenting. I thought you guys were fighting. I thought that that's what I mean is GonNa GonNa join us at twelve thirty eastern and I thought you you haven't been beefing with anybody about baby ought beef with anybody that something bad to say about baby yoga me. I think as a baby at a fan because he's constantly tweeting out means and I don't think she's doing this was it Sarah. Forgive me. I don't remember who you are beefing with. I felt like I what it is. Whatever it is you're doing I don't know what it is but if you want me to support you I will buy? Let me talk to you about baby. Yoga for a second. Because this is as big of a slam dunk as you could possibly have. And I've seen this takeout there that this is just a device by one of the most powerful media conglomerates out there to get your dollar so what it's a door -able I mean it is is a cutest thing. How is this never thought of before I could? I'm obsessed with baby yoga any museum that has baby yoga. It's always funny so he's making me smile. It's a cutest damn one thing I've seen on television John fabbro whatever we're paying him as a company ripple it because this thing is the cutest thing you'll ever see i. I haven't watched this baby. Yoda talk in Doboy makes noises. Maybe yogurt is fifty eight different. Well known in the first I episode there like it says life if years old and then it's a baby now we're all calling you baby yoga but it's not actually Yoda's baby what do you call. Yoda's do you call them. YODA's 'cause I don't know what it is related to Yoda. Somehow we haven't really seen other species of Yoda in the star wars franchise basically instead of one example. It's basically just has been Yoda so now there's a whole nother Kyoto on the scene and it's doing cute little baby things like sipping coffee and the weights so as Yoda species or is Iota Ota a person. Is Iota a name or is iota what Yoda as I need to answers. I need answers and hopefully we get them. But I'm happy that it takes a long to age because is if we get seven seasons of the baby not growing my God tell billy what were you objecting to the baby. Yoda drinks coffee. Yeah he said it's doing baby things like drinking coffee and I'm not a father baby and drinking coffee drinking soup out of a cup and it was like sort of like the kermit. The FROG team just does a bunch of cute things uh-huh and yeah sure it's an easy device and that's not a bad thing. Sometimes we can all just universally get behind the cutest thing we've ever seen in our life. Is there a baby aby chewbacca extent gunman babies. There's GonNa be saw wars babies I imagine and credit to this powerful media conglomerate for. I'm not trying to capitalize on all this and trying to keep it a secret. Because can you imagine this has got to be the rage of the holiday season baby. Yoda's can you. This is bigger than tickle me. elmo myself probably who cares it's cute. Why isn't there a song yet about baby yoga? Aby Yoda dot that up. Baby Baby Baby Iota. Then just the regular. Yoda GRANDPA. Joe Grab this. This would YODA guys. That's GRANDPA SCO Janai great-grandma Kansas species by the way Yoda's species and us. What Yoda was? He's jet is what is so. I wanted to Luke skywalker walkers. Yoda is the Jeddah. I always thought he was a jet. I named Yoda but he's a Yoda. He is a Jedi named Yoda. We don't know the name of the species species. Unless there's some star wars nerds out. There that can enlighten us isn't a multiple jet. I use the plural. Return of the Jedi there. You Go We we are very ignorant show when we discuss star wars. We've established this that as show. We are pretty terrible at discussing star. We do not know Very much at all we Pride ourselves on being the show in America that talks about Star Wars even though we are least qualified to talk about. Lorenzo says we know nothing about species. Know nothing about any hundred hundred. No he wasn't no no you say he's a star wars near you and speaking on behalf of other Star Wars. They know nothing about the spends. Lorenzo call in. I don't know thank you. I mean I have looked pedia. And that's all working here. Is that what. It's such a thing is their media. Yeah looking looking at it right now. Joke if you nibble it's not a joke. It's a real thing doesn't like if you had just been joking rookie pedia. It can't just be the sound Yoda's lived a A pretty clean life I mean he has there's nothing he trained Jeddah's ACA ACA. Nothing about you back on here. I mean I'm just I'm scrolling through the Yoda tried to get outta information. The Star Wars wikipedia pages called WIKIPEDIA. That's pretty funny. All I know is if I woke up in the middle of night and I saw baby Yoda standing in my bedroom. I would lose it this terrifying to just seeing them up there. I mean it's it gets a little cute you but also gives off a little terrifying gender put it on the poll at Lebatardshow it's fluid genders fluid at Lebatardshow if few woke up in the middle of the night and baby. Yoda was at the foot of your bed. Would you a kiss it. Be Run out of the room in terror. I wanted to get back to though because billy mentioned important. Update Lorenzo says there is a Yadel in the first episode which is a female iota. ooh I have. I have nothing else to ask a female iota. gadoe put it on the poll at Lebatardshow. Did you know there was a female iota. IOTA and yeah. It'll is Zuma direct descendant. Because I think the timeline is that this could perhaps be Yoda and Janelle kid. Wow Oh billy has an issue. Oh speaking of Baby Yoda and the holiday season and how star Wars Disney have kept wraps on the baby phenomenon in terms of being able to capitalize is commercially on it. Billy who is terrified of the holidays was over was done with the holidays at the very beginning of January is now in a bad situation because he has forgotten what it is that he ordered for holiday gifts. Got Off to a hot start. I was fast and furious on Black Friday Friday and cyber Monday and I got almost all of my stuff done but I got to the point. I made a list of who I was getting stuff for. I was checking things off the list making the list checking looking at twice while you're talking. Well here's the thing. Oh God we have. We have the mass singer they coming up and it was a Christmas special and very lately sprung. Got Me was. We need snow for this some in the middle making snow for that I can multitask making snow here. Tell the people while you make snow for the Music Dome which is is it coming up at one time. Eleven thirty all right minutes from now. Tell the people what's happening with you and forgetting I forget what I bought people and basically it's like Christmas every retirement packages delivered. Because I'm remembering. Oh Yeah I bought this for someone but the downside to this is I also won't know what I'm not getting something that I need because again I forgot got what I got and I've gone to so many different places in so many different websites that have to go through all my emails and check all the confirmations and if you order things from certain stores I'll send you two things at a time signed but not the fourth thing. Is this normal thing to find the holidays stressful. Yeah Yeah I think so. I put it on the poll. Is it normal to find the holiday stressful because Billy's elise afraid of them daddy's afraid of everything but they're already ruined and now on top of that all. The gifts are ruined. Well well the thing is most people look forward to the holidays because they think Oh my God Christmas. I can't wait to see what I got. Or whatever and I'm like I can't wait for tall be over. That's the true Christmas miracle that it's over Donlevatar. I heard the hotel. Industry is moving away from providing shampoo and soap. Do not get me started on. Hotels died aged. What they take from me? I feel like I'm entitled to take something from Dan. Thanks GonNa throw away the shampoo. They're going to throw it. I'm not even talking about that. Just call it what it is. Tell me. Don't WanNa give me first house. I'm still gonNA throw it on the floor all right. I feel like water is a renewable resource. Billy is a little strange. Billy's top five list of favorite shows. I feel like would be pretty strange. But mass singers one of them is obsessed with this. And it's basically Klay a bunch of people in costumes singing and you have to guess who the singers and they give you some clues and then surprised they take off the head of the costume boom hit television. Show so billy. What do you have for us today? In terms of getting updated on what happened this week on the mass singer like how many people are left. How many characters are left Great Question Dan. Good news is for you because I know you love this show. It was a big week for the mass singer. Double episodes one on Tuesday one on Wednesday. But we're going to recap it all right now. Join me the music dome. Won't you Dan all right. Let's just get this away quickly because I know that you don't have very much patience for this. So the first episode was on Tuesday Newsday but there were six singers left and we had another special guest judge. who was it any guesses anyone who was it? Why would we guess it that it was vence monster from last season? Who was the winner Dan? Do you remember who monster was No I don't remember who monster it was. None other than musical artist. t pain rights right. So t pain was back this week to be a guest judge on Tuesday. All right. I'll just go through quickly performances. It was the Fox it was. The Leopard was thingamajig Flamingo. Tree and N.. Rottweiler Fox sang. Blame it by Jamie Foss. Leopard San. We are young by funding magic saying ordinary people by John. Legend Flamingos Sang. Go your own way by Fleetwood Mac. Tree Tree sang the edge of glory by Lady Gaga and Rottweiler Sang. Someone you love. Let's just get to the elimination right off the bat here so we can move onto the semi finals. The loser this week was the tree. That's right the eliminated. Unfortunately you guys have any final guesses on who you haven't anyone do you have. We never guessed correctly and we don't play along with us. You could keep it moving but do you have any character. You particularly excited about learning who that character is closed divining the identity of how many characters what do you mean. How many do I know I? I'm excited every time they reveal character. I'm really invested in them. Because I want to find out that control diva whichever denotes anyways the tree was revealed and it was none other than Anna Gassar from Saturday night live. That was yet another Guesses guys all right. We'll keep moving right along to the semi finals last night and we are in for a treat last night. It was a Christmas special. All right this is why he was ripping up paper before the some snow to give off the holidays. This is just throwing confetti up with paper go ahead go ahead before you go. Why did they make you cut paper? They were just going to digitally add snow into discrete. They weren't sure at the time that they could do that. So I was just extra cautious on it so we had some snow majors in the event that I couldn't do that. Oh Toco before we do that if we if we go. We're going to have to put an X.. Now on the big board here over the tree but we can do that later on. Let's not keep things held up here all right so uh-huh those of you hold on a second Not able to have a TV in front of them. Listening to this on the radio Billy's got an enormous fan blowing about four or five shards of paper into his face. Go ahead and he's also got are some sort of had to protect themselves from the blowing fan blowing four or five papers meant to it'd be snow. GO AHEAD THIS IS A. Where's Waldo had Dan? This has been. This is quite the mess. If someone's going to have to clean up later all right the first performance of the night again on this special Christmas Christmas episode of the mass thing or semifinals was by the Fox who perform this Christmas. Here are some of the clues that we got. It just said Richard on a piece of paper some people Richard may be the name of the person performing then it just a great equalizer and then guys special fun fact. This episode every contestant brought a gift to give the into the judges and his gift was a picture of the rabbit from last season. As you guys remember. Was Michael Strahan. Joey fatone Joey talk all right here where the guest is this week. Ten thinks that the Fox is Jamie Foxx. Robin thinks that the Fox is Wayne. Brady and Nicole thinks that the Fox's tyree billy thinks that the Fox is also Wayne Brady. Let's move onto the second part famous to be on that show all of them. Jimmy Fox is going to be on. That show is he. We'll find out then semifinals if they move onto the finals. We'll find out next week if not we'll find out tonight. Oh Guy the press to tell you. Big episodes semifinals to mass seekers. Were eliminated so this we've as we reveal the identity of the three different things right. Performance number two was the rottweiler group performed on this Christmas episode Mr Bright Side by the killers. Good Song Choice. Nothing to do with Christmas should have been disqualified. But I'm not going to get into that right now. All right here are the clues. There was a passport said that it was all about family and and then the special gift was a handmade holiday card. Here were the guests. Nicole thought that it could be James Franco. Jenny thought that it could be our nell poetic. Who is the first thing that came into journey started singing instead of Steve Perry right? Is that the Korean Karaoke singer. Yeah all right when when you're not just say Asian and robbing thought that he could be. Darren Criss Nicole said. I thought that to even though she already said somebody else all right. Performance number three of the night was the all right thing. Jay performed the third time this week. Here's thingamajig joining us in studio special guests. Unfortunately thingamajig is this green green screen. So it's really hard to figure this stuff. I could see a pair of ice floating all right so I'm a Jig sang again. Guys Christmas episode saying Winter Wonderland here are some Kasese something about tough years then. There's a constellation walking around in their unfortunately the mass just everything the rumors flying around this is a really powerful fan guys. Come on. Wait a minute Chris. Cody's mask fly off because of the industrial side. That's THINGAMAJIG GECAS. It gets here in studio all right here where the gift. It was a hat with a wig. And who do you guys think when you guys think of that could mean. I'll just tell you what was it. Indiana Jones had an a with. Now what clues could you guys possibly think that that would have something to do. It's such an amazing fan. We got a budget for it this week. All right the guest is Robin. Thought that it could be Montell Jordan. Ken Thought that he could be victor. All the diva who I've said long for a long time it was victory depot and then the judges were arguing now. That person's not tall enough. Six four six five as though they know how tall Victor Oladipo is when they haven't guessed him. Once this season to mass singer judges all right and then they aquatic could be Dennis Rodman. We're going to keep moving full Mingo perform next and Flamingo performed Alleluia. which is so so maybe Christmas themed? I don't know but it's not winter wonderland or this Christmas. Here are some of the some of the clues naughty or nice a Cheetah luggage which if you guys remember Cheetah Girls Agent Belanger's maybe I don't know and then the gift was a globe and it just had Israel on it if you were some of the guesses Nicole be Adrian by lawn. Jenny could be by launch ten thought that it could be Jessica Simpson Simpson and guess what we found out. What do you think Adrian's husband's name is Dan? Can we rent Israel. which is what's on the globe all right? The final performance of the night was the leopard. Here are some of the clues there were cubs going around because you know baby cubs like kids so we now know that this person has kids. There was a Nativity play reference reference. He was holding a snowboard for some reason and then the gift was blueprints. Here were some of the guesses. Oh any perform big spender by Chris Dancing when no one can see he's dancing. They'll spend Christmas song at all. Here's some of the guesses. Nicole thought it could be sealed. Horrible guests how would seal ever do the massing or good questions. I I dunno Johnny. Saudi could be Eric for knee and Canton. It could be Jeff Goldblum all right now again. Their limitations this week the number one elimination was is being on my Jay Wright who was thinking Holy Depot. It was not Chris Cody. It was convict depot. That's right victor. All depot was thingamajig. All right now. Let's just move on to the second person eliminated on the night of this is. They're they're getting their DANGELO. I've interrupting you really slowing down this thing all right the leper was the second elimination of the night. We'll go to the final guesses. Nicole thought that it could be sealed. Robin thought that it could be seal can start. It could be Jeff. Goldblum and Jenny thought that it could be Eric. Guys any guesses amongst yourselves for the love of God initial route Rupaul. I thought it was too. It was actually Lorenzo. CEO Why is the seal on the mass singer about do it for this special semifinals edition of the master. We will see you next week for the the finals Dan number ending never ending. Nothing goes right in that room. I cody and billy are incompetent. A family member around here from Miami has come into town on as have a whole lot of ESPN NBA people for this. This Lakers he'd game and I've been saying to Mike. Mike doesn't want to apologize to Lebron James but I've been saying I feel like we all need to apologize because last season his groin was clearly wrong for the sixteen games he missed and he probably wasn't quite himself when he came back and now he's got a legitimate superstar teammate and they looked totally overwhelmed the why are we apologizing because we said he was washed on that was but no one actually. You don't know one actually says politics maybe some Dork on twitter did. But here's the other thing Dan that not enough people talk about so he when when he was here in Miami he worked with a group of trainers. That were Dwayne. Wade's trainers David Alexander. Donnie Raimondo. And then he went to Cleveland. And if you remember that first year he had that awful back injury where he'd missed a couple of weeks or whatever. Donnie was the guy who fixed his back so he was those guys were with him through the Cleveland layers former navy seal former navy seals and when he made the move to La. They weren't working fulltime anymore. They started working with other clients. He felt like he was okay. Like they were just Kinda come helicoptering in and out by his choice and after the injury they he went right back to those guys and now he's been working with them and you could see it. He's got stamina that he hasn't had in a long time. I mean he's playing defense in November. We haven't seen that basically since his second to last year. Here in Miami. I like to apologize Because he failed to make the playoffs swift team that he totally nuked with his public. Pursuit of Anthony Davis a Tina totally checked out on them. I'm sorry that we put expectations on you as drag Mike matheny delve adobe to an NBA finals. That you could at least improve on the Lakers win total from the previous year by merely playing sixty plus games. How Dare I? I'm I'm sorry. Yeah I'm with you Mike Good job. Be Apologies to Lebron Western conference to like that. That was real worse with him. They had a winning record with named. Billy barely got better now but now you know I- Anthony Davis was so important to them twenty two and three about his growing. He couldn't even putting his foot in his mouth. I couldn't move less you. Don't think he turns it on for the cameras. He did what he couldn't move last year. Offensively off mode activated and then they lost like eight eight of the last. Well I think he tried to psych himself out and then realize oh no yes This is a real thing and I can't get passed this even on offense you can say on defense. He's coasted hosted or whatever for the last couple of years but even offense. He looked slow and Clunky at times and that is not the case this year. And then I think your point is now he's got a real team-mate and again again. Maybe not the most accomplished teammate. He's ever had. That goes to Dwayne Wade but he probably fits better with Lebron from a chemistry standpoint. Anyone who's ever worked. We were discussing this before you came in here. I give you the top guys of the clippers or I give you the top guys the Lakers. Who Do you take right now? I only have I have two pairing. Yes okay then. I take the Lakers. But I think in Kuwait Oman. I would take away over eighty but individually. So if you're the Lakers you had a chance to trade A. D. I do that in a heartbeat right so it's now Lebron that's yes yes I mean maybe not a heartbeat but I would I think I don't think they fit as well as ad and Lebron do. I think there'd be some work work there but yeah I think that from a talent perspective. Yeah those are the two top guys which by the way. The clippers are just scratching the surface. On how good they can be. I mean Doc rivers. I was telling me yesterday like scratching scratching of the surface only at one practiced together one pregnant and they scored one hundred and forty points the other night they're not open and shut Hollywood's changed. You know what do you mean part of Teen Patti and now you're giving Lebron the benefit of the doubt. Ah Y'all go plan more now than I ever have. Honest friendly. Has He gone happen yes he gone. Hollywood you guys rock rocket doesn't he didn't have the nerve to bring line. That's what's happened to Saddam. He's looking man changed. You have label do that to you guys smoothies. Now that you're here we can admit we can tell you to your face. These guys have been very disappointed with you and Izzy a kneeling at the Cathedral of of the NBA and not getting some of their phrases here on the broadcasts casts when all sorts of people who. Don't love us the way that you and Izzy love us have done things like that for us including Pat McAfee. Who doesn't have any real relationship with okay? First first of all I've only done sidelines for a year. Okay there's that but I did sneak in the Chris cody thing. What did you want me to do on things? I wanted you to say rocking with you on a Wednesday and you did it very fast. I mean well I said okay. I'M GONNA try. I had forgotten. Okay let's start there but I knew I was GonNa View Anthony Davis it was the New Orleans return game and manufactured. The question where I said. Oh I know you're coaching. Your teammates have been talking to you about this area. We have the sound. Yeah what was he supposed to say. It's horrid sit on a rocking would never do was full ass instead you have is your coach before the game. He told us to. I tell you just to have fun and your teammates certainly had your back. What was it like to have that whole group rocking with you tonight just getting rocky with you on Wednesday along on Wednesday I half ass? I just heard an ass Chris did he agree he agreed to that right. L. An agreement. It wasn't it was like I'll see what I can do. You scratch on half an ass and you guys. Can we come up with another phrase personnel. No To us Something that would actually work the next time on now. You got something. I've been harder. Come in your goals with you on a Wednesday shouldn't have been that hard. You should have been able to pull that up. Yeah you you have to work in intergalactic stupid or Bald Eagles. Yeah or I have a child ask. You could do that or just like this the way that I'm saying it's very important. CADENCES agents is huge. Yeah getting to or you know what maybe maybe maybe might be possible Solano cadence. You know what maybe no say half ass again. And and the best team in football and I know that right now the ravens have the best point differential but the last three weeks I thought have even with a loss in air. I thought the San Francisco Forty niners in dismantling green bay barely losing on a bounce to Baltimore and then going into New Orleans like San Francisco's it goes very clearly mean a super bowl good. Yeah they're the second best team in football. I mean I I think that's fair Jimmy Garoppolo had the best game. I would probably have his career against New Orleans but the problem is he has not been consistent. He has not to put together a string of those games. He does occasionally usually throw interceptions and make mistakes teams key in on the run. which is what you'll see? Defense is due to San Francisco. Lamar Jackson has been more and more consistent this season and I think the Ravens Defense people aren't talking about how good they are because they stack up really nicely with San Francisco especially since the market's Peter Straight they. They're the the most versatile team Eamon League right the ravens regardless of best. They can beat you more ways than anybody can. Yeah when you have a quarterback who can literally do everything thing that every football player on the field can do I guess maybe not tackle but yeah he gives them so much optionality we keep having this conversation. How do you stopped? Lamar Jackson is there a formula and there really is in other than be good right but I think you looking back at some of his worst games names over the course of the season the steelers game is probably the worst performance. He's had he saw few tendencies. Their disguise coverages sorry. Well Yeah. Pablo is walking up behind me with a box of cereal eating it for some reason you guys can see him in the middle of your shot. He's just doing that to be funding because Oslo Needy for attention. He's he's interrupting in the middle of Your now works well on the radio. He's still here. Actually he's just I. I think ducking right behind me does not does not know that Mina kimes can do one thing and that thing and that's give commentary and then all of a sudden if you distract her you'll fluster in a way that clearly you can't stay on point. Yeah unlike Lamar Jackson. I cannot do multiple things at the same time I have no optionality Sonoma Dan. I'm still disappointed. I didn't get to make that joke on. HQ When you and I were on with Pablo how can we do the show. We were doing this. Pablo WanNa just be time like. It's really hard right. Because it's such a numbers disadvantage because he can take off at any time and you have to make like horrible decisions on defense. There's really not that you do. I would say probably WANNA play Tampa to maybe mcquarters. You want disguise coverage is you need to stop the tight ends. Because that's his sort of go to mark Andrews in the various tight ends they happen. There's really no easy answer joke. Can we say that on air. Dan Probably what I was trying to save. Everybody won't bring it back to that because he's still got okay. You you love to see the setup and then let the listeners fill it in their own minds and you help me understand really. It's not worth it. Okay all right I know you're right. We're all lashing out in different directions. And the only person to be lashing out at his Pablo. He's responsible for Romans. Everything was going fine until leafy told I needed to ask joke. I kind of want to hear this setup. You do the setup but I'm not going to fit fit punch line at the very end of the show. Pablo and I were on with. Dan and Dan said he was having an Asian experience. That's all worth it guys. Jokes on Josh was At least I know Tom Brady tell me what's happening with him over the last nine weeks we'll get it. He is declining. I think the most notable thing I it's funny every now and then brady eighty will still put together. I wouldn't even say vintage drive. He'll have like Tom Brady. Intermediate to deep throw that shows you can still do it. The problem is what he's no longer able to do. Is What has been his bread and butter over the course of his career which is destroy blitzes and diagnosed coverages right. That was always a thing with Brady. You cannot blitzing because he will tear you up by the way that Ravens defense that happens to be the one thing they do better than anyone else in the NFL right now. They don't have a ton of talent up front but they blitz at extraordinarily ordinary high rate so in any other season. I think that would be very easy for Tom. Brady to shred but they pick the perfect season because he is not able to do that this year. I really really want Pablo to go back. And listen to what he did to this. I mean he completely dumpy. Let's not knowing me at all. I mean he spends a lot of time with Meena. How is that now? How can we know that little about you? Mean you can't get in the middle of her take and disoriented without sending. Her Korean door really knows her very well and knew exactly exactly what he was about to do. His mortal enemy there is there. Is that frenemies. Who is a team from among the teams that were looking? God No no is the sound. I left for more cereal but going well. Let's go to commercial the film out of you right now. So Mad Guy for Dan to reluctantly take part in something as to couldn't be happier doing the thing about Siri just totally nuked the segment own self involvement. I'll just wanted his face to be on cameras. If what we're doing around here is not some semblance of professional. The thing about serial is. It's good I love it in person more than I love listening to the Audio I will not apologize for liking cereal. Would would I like more cereal. I would like that very much. The best part. Was You doing that in front of wife at Dan's wedding her face was fed. She wanted to punch. Did you grow. She didn't like it all she wanted to fight. Might for sure but it's a good Pablo astle. Who Is On Your College Football Announcer Mount Rushmore? + Derek Crocker

"Welcome to the audible presented by trader. Joe's, I'm Stewart Mandel joined as always by Bruce Feldman, we weren't actually together on the podcast last week. I was at Disneyland with my family for few days. But we actually did see each other in person we had dinner in Anaheim, my family our friends, who came with us, and your family, and I got to see firsthand what you've been telling me about for a long time. I got to quiz your son your five year olds Ben on random football scores of various college football game is grasp of numbers and stuff like that is very different. I mean when I was a little kid. I was really into sports names. He's pretty good. You know, who are Donald is knows who Alvin Kamara is. But it's a scores and stuff like that, where it's like one day, literally he was like can we watch the game? When Ohio State beat Alabama, am orphan, I left each other like was even born when this happened and then he spit out the score knew what it was. So we had to go watch the highlights at dinner. Are you have to on my phone because he must have seen it with his with his grandfather on, on an ipad when I was out of town, apparently, so it's cool when you're when your kid, especially if it's your son is so indisposed, but he's pretty far down the rabbit hole at this point, and the cost football athem, Ohio State, Washington. He got that I asked him he got that and the funny thing is like those games have pretty random scores. Right. You know, not every not many people or forty four to sixteen and he nailed all of them. So it was something to behold. Yeah, it's going to be interesting to see. So as he gets further on further on down the road he doesn't quite understand, you know, the quarter system, not in school necessarily. But, like wait, there's two minutes left in this basketball game. No, there's only two minutes left in the quarter ban. And he's kind of figuring that stuff out, but it is fun. The only downside is on watching the NBA finals, he's into it. And our daughter is not into it. So she feels like he's getting to watch a quarter a show, so she should be entitled to a pig episode or something. And which makes me feel like I'm missing out if my life like, well, it's like we have to turn the TV off to, to honor her, and that's, that's not fair. Anyway. I've been watching a lot of the NBA finals on on the way because they conflict with, when I put my daughter bit, anyway. Yes. So for this week's episode we're bringing on a familiar guests, if you've been listening for a long time era, Crocker VP of college sports at FOX, we love talking to him about how the games get scheduled. So we're gonna we're gonna talk, Derek. And then we have to catch up on your emails. We have overflowing inbox of emails stored up from the last few weeks. So let's get to it and we're pleased to be joined by a friend of the program. Previous guests Derek Crocker. He's the VP of college sports at Fox Sports, and most importantly, when your favorite team. We find out your favorite teams kicking off at seven thirty or this date on FOX or he's the one who made that happen. He is the scheduling Derek, thanks for joining us again. Thanks guys. Push it, you having me. So we wanna go behind the curtain here a little bit. Even nice enough to do this before. But let's just do a little refresher I for people so you know last week the networks announce their various early season kickoff first three or four weeks, the FOX ESPN share the rights to the big ten Pac twelve and big twelve. So you guys do a draft figure out who gets wish games. Give us a little primer, how the draft works. So the like you mentioned we just got through the first phase. It's really kind of a to, to par to age draft to the first face just wrapped up announced, I three weeks and some the special date weekday games last Thursday. But that I as really starts in kind of after the national championship game and go all the way up until until the release date. And, and that draft process. It's compare it a lot of gun podcast as well as playing like it's like the greatest game of fancy football. But instead of you know, like my ten dollar by or whatever it is. It's, you know, the buy in, it's, you know, knowing. Millions of dollars and instead of actually picking players. It's we're actually selecting matchups on certain weeks or say none say matchups, but your pink order on a certain week. So this first phase of the draft determining the pick order on those various week. So think about maybe the last two, maybe like this the number one pick on that's like picking the draft. It's not necessarily picking a specific natch up. You're picking a slot like the number one pick on a certain week. So maybe a quick example be like where we had we just announced last week we have the Ohio State Michigan games. That's the number one pick on November thirtieth. So, and then as you get into the next phase of the draft, which is the second is and that actually happens during the season, and it's on a twelve day or six days. Selection process is where you're actually walking in those matchups picking in picking a game for that, that certain slot that just like it in that I face the. Draft. It's kind of interesting, interesting process, we do as you mentioned with all the ESPN and all the other network partners fleet. Competence is probably one of my favorite parts of the job. And it's, it's always a thing. I, I really look forward to Dirk how much do you guys about UA, what ESPN's inventory around a certain game or weekend is, let's say, I'm sure that it's no secret that full disclosure, I work at FOX, but that we have the World Series, and so they, they would have a better grasp. I would think of what you know, how our schedule plays out, like how much is there not just sell scouting. But knowing the strategy that relates to what each company, how they're trying to leverage certain things how much goes into that. I mean, there's odd kind of factors, but if that is one of the one to patterns that we that we look at on, you know, for every single weekend is, what is our competitors doing what's best for our schedule. Oil. So you know it's, it's of part of the the strategy. Also at that were kind of implementing this year as we're gonna do put more better games, or our best better games at noon time slot on the broadcast channel and that'll be kind of a little bit of shift for us. Previously. We've done we've done several games in the past in that window. We've seen just because it's competitively. It's a little bit softer than say the three thirty or the time slot. And we've, we've seen readings that are primetime worthy in the noon window. So we think there's real opportunity for us to really kind of own that time, slot and see really good viewership uptake from there while you brought that up there. That actually made some, some headlines a couple of weeks ago when you guys the scope I discussed that. So when you say you're gonna be shifting some, you're better games to noon. Does that mean like basically that becomes the gusts, Joel game, gusto Jenny game or will that vary by the wagon other words? Will they still do primetime games as well? You know what is the kind of the packaging of this look like great question? So I don't find that actually the talent the talent to specific games, but I can tell you that I mean that crew typically does the best game of our day. So in our in most weekends that game will should be the noon window. So I would see I would assume that probably Gus and Jenny and Joel will be on a lot of noon does noon kick off, you know, at the end the day, I think they also want to be on best, you know, the most highest rated game. And so sometimes that may not may not be the new window. But for the most part, I would, I would assume they're probably going to be on a lot of again. So just a quick follow up to that. I assuming putting like a UCLA Washington game on it nine AM Pacific. Right. So how's the patch will factor into that? Yeah, that's right. I mean just logistically, Pac twelve games can't play on at nine as you mentioned. So they'll be still games and prime-time prank on eastern, so eight o'clock. Lot, or they'll be sometimes coming out of the noon eastern window, so, like a three thirty or four o'clock slot thinking the first three weeks we have a couple of those games that are coming right out of the window. Whether it's northwestern Stanford game or the Nebraska, Colorado game. Those are both coming right out after the moon window at three thirty four o'clock. And then we also have a, a UCLA or Oklahoma at UCLA game, which is gonna be eight o'clock and Thirdly the season. So they'll be they'll become utilizing lead in that of that strong. Newt game. Let me ask you a question on this. You mentioned the northwestern Stanford game. It's obviously to schools. A lot of success recently. Northwestern won its division last year. Stanford has been good really for the last decade. Having said that, though, you know it's not like Stanford has his raucous home game environment, especially in late August that games. August thirty first. But the games should be really competitive like, how do you what bow? Oh, you do put on something where it's like, okay, these schools don't have rabid Ohio State. Notre Dame Alabama kind of fan bases, yet you a pretty good chance that game is going to be competitive for four quarters. So as a programmer as a drafter, how do you value that compared to something that you may get a blow out the first quarter but it's a blow out by a big brand school against somebody who's probably not that competitive e adding out of a lot of a lot of factors that we really looking to and all those pieces each game. And he's time five is kind of analyzed on its own in terms of that specific game. I'm excited to see that game. I think it's like you mentioned a really competitive game. And that's that's part of the reason that we're, we're putting out on a broadcast channel in that time size we think, you know, compared to maybe some other games that are going on that game, maybe the most could be the most competitive game in that window. So that may there's other blogs going on. On, you know, going on throughout the day, people would turn into hopefully, the most competitive gain going on. So, and I think in terms of just northwestern and Stanford even though they may have the most rabid home fan base is I think football's compelling. They're both have have traditionally been very good over this last these last few years, especially northwestern obviously last year gained the championship game. So I'm excited to see how how plays out. There's some interesting storylines on both those I'm sure still has several friends hopefully coming in for that game as well. So Stewart so fired up for the hundred Johnson Aera check off at northwestern. He will be tailgating Friday night worrying purple in in the bay area. Right. Sue, I won't be wearing purple, but I actually going be having a bunch of bunch of friends coming into town for that game. I'm gonna have over Friday night. So you weren't entirely inaccurate though. I'm fired up for the game a little bit conflicted since it's my own mater, against my current hometown team. Then where verse the atmosphere will be rockets because. Just going to be a sea of purple flooding Stanford. No, it's not it's probably half empty. But I am looking forward to watching it back to the matter at hand. So Derek like you said earlier for the most part for most of the season, you announce games twelve days or even six days ahead of time for this initial announcement. You guys announced games with the exception of like state. Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas most of these games were announced for the first three weeks of the season. With one Michigan Wisconsin, the the one game you announced for the September twenty first. What's the cutoff? How do you decide how far into the season you're comfortable slotting teams before you have to start considering? You know, you know teams might not after three weeks or four weeks. Whatever might not turn out to be the way we expect season. Yeah. So we have to we have to nounce, the first three weeks, that's across basically all all conferences. But then outside the first reeks the weekday games, those have to be announced, and then they're like the Michigan Wisconsin game Oklahoma Texas game and they'll have emission game. Those choices by FOX to pre announce those games just knowing that those are pretty safe bets that, you know, having the number one pick on those civic dates. And in those specific conferences, that were probably not going to be going off and not doing a different. We want a different game. So why not just announce it early? But the fans know when the games to be those are typically those three games are tipping some of the higher eighty games in the country. So just giving enough time to really plan their travel, and then for us internally for on the FOX, and it's kind of get around those, those kind of big match ups and. Kind of make those kind of Ted polls in our season. Dirk for me. One thing that jumped out at me at the schedule was the Friday games, especially the ones we have on f s one seemed to be much better than I ever remember Friday schedule. So it's a in September twentieth Utah at USC. That's a really good game September twenty seventh Penn State at Maryland. That's an interesting game Colorado at Oregon, Ohio State. Northwestern is Friday in mid October. Why is a my magic these much more attractive games than in includes like when I'm on the road, even the ESPN games Friday night are usually not like this all? So what is changed? It's not just the big ten there's some really good Pac twelve games is, is there, anything different or my just noticing it more? Now, I think this is this is going to be our best ever Friday slate that we put out. I think it really help out of our ratings internally. But I, I also think it'll be interesting. To see how fans tune into these games as well, because they are some hope high-profile gains on a Friday night, which in terms of competitive lease, you know, not as obviously not as competitive as a Saturday game. We're just all the games are typically played, so I'm see you know how those games perform, but I'm also pretty pretty optimistic that those games can be fairly high rated. But yes, you're right. They work with the conferences to move some of these all these games that are on Fridays or Thursdays to, to these weekday dates. And, and then there's a draft process on these Thursdays and five games with, with the other networks to like, we have the Saturday drought process. So, you know luckily able to dislike some really good games and, and I think it's can be I think it's gonna be really gets this season. I think it's gonna be good for college football as well just one more on that on that Friday night, topic, you said you work with the conferences. How, how do you decide which ones are or not usable to move like you're able to move on north northwestern? I assume if it were host. Beat Penn State that, that wouldn't necessarily fly and even with north western, I know paths Gerald is on record is not fan of Friday night game. So, like, how much swayed do you guys have versus the schools and the conferences, these those two specific and that you mentioned how state northwestern in Penn State Maryland game? What makes those to really kind of work is that both those teams all the teams are playing this game or are all is the previous week? So it made a lot of sense to move rose gains to fight it just because there is equal rest moving games to fight as is, is, you know, it's tough in terms of preparation for the teams and coaches because there's one less day of preparation. So those two games in particular when we saw the schedule just really kind of popped out of, you know, we should really ask the conference if you know work with the conference these games would could play on Friday and lucky for us, we were able to make that happen. Dirk, we appreciate as always your time and insight. I think it's a great. Behind the curtain look peak for our audience. And so we'll have you on down the road? We eagerly await the rest of the schedule me, especially, so thanks for joining us today on the audible. Thanks guys. I hope you, you eat the grasshopper this year. That's not that is not going to happen. People were up at, like one AM to see that see that infamous sideline hit. I hope guys control the weather. The poor guy had so many lightning delays last few years. Maybe a sign him to places where it doesn't rain. Yeah. Works for always that not good scenarios. Thanks, appreciate it. All right. We thank you for joining us. And now let's get onto your questions and comments. And the mailbag as always if you wanna send us anything college abo- related let us know you can go to the audible pod. A g mail dot com side deep breath. I got that right tonight. Our first question is from Chuck's numbers, extremely tough time for the Auburn family on the untimely sudden death of rod and Paula Bramlett as a lot of folks. No rod was the beloved announcer for Auburn sports and over Memorial Day, tragic car accident that, that took them from us. They leave behind two children. One is in highschool, believe their older daughter is in college. So I'm gonna get Chuck's question after right. And commend your writer Justin Ferguson on. A his extremely touching timely in motion. Connecting piece on rod in the mount Rushmore SEC radio announcers, I believe he has climbed on the summit with a great, Larry Munson, of course, Georgia Jim ward from Tennessee John phony of Alabama. And Jim fife also of Auburn to lighten the mood. Here's a question for the two of you who is on your mount Rushmore of college football play by play announcers. Great names, come to mind. And these are the four heedless Keith Jackson Gus Johnson, Ron Franklin and burn Lundquist. All right stew. I'm gonna predict one of the four names that you would definitely have on their who he does not mention went to the same alma mater. You did. And is now in Vegas in my correct? Yes. The great Brent Musburger, looking live. I mean he's called so many of the great college football moments. Over the last several decades, obviously, keep Jackson's on my Rushmore, Brent would be on there as well. I did. I did think Ron Franklin was was. Very good and his prime. I don't know that I have him on there and I think it's a little too soon to crown gusts. So let's for now say, and by the way, they're probably guys from the early I just can't speak to guys who were you know the play by play guys in the sixty seventies at cetera. So let's just say keep Jackson Brent Musburger. I'll go Verne Lundquist and then for my fourth, or you're gonna keep Ron Franklin on there. So I agree with you to Keith. Jackson is a absolute no brainer burn also for me. I like gusts but I liked you. I feel like for awhile Gus has been no more as college basketball March madness revelation kinda guy, but I think he's getting there. I mean to me he keeps on this pace specially would I think he enjoyable clatter terrific together? I think that he will end up there said other, you know, as you said. Brent? I would agree with you on Brent branches made college football games feel so big and majestic so that forth name are you are, you going run Franklin or where you going a little bit of? No, I'm not going around Franklin though. I do think he was very good in his prime this may be a little bit recently bias and also just a coincidence, because I happen to be watching an old broadcast of the. Nebraska Tennessee, Orange Bowl ninety Orange Bowl paid manning, they get crushed by Nebraska. And Sean McDonough was on the call. It's hard to believe, but Sean McDonough has been doing college football, the exception of that brief Monday night football exodus for twenty years, and he, I feel like he's got a pretty icon ick voice at this time, you think of like the Michigan drop punt snap a few years ago, his voice has been on a lot of conic moments. I got one and I, I am completely biased on this person. But in terms of voice, and big moments and making it feel memorable, I would put Joe tests on there. That's a tough one. I know we're both really good friends with him. And I do think that I mean he was he was absolutely great in college football. You know, now he's on M F. What how how long do you think he did it? Ten years. Yeah. About that. I mean but to me, Joe tests made some Friday night magic did he was very good at one of the things. That's great about college. Ball is you don't necessarily have to have a huge diehard rooting interest in it doesn't necessarily have to be one versus three. Now, certainly with Keith Jackson, felt like that a lot and for Vernon especially at did too, and I guess, Branagh also I think Joe made some made some games that people are like why my watching this turn out to be pretty dramatic and, and just kind of fun roller coaster rides. Again, I am completely biased with Joe on this. So I will say that and kind of duck out. I selfishly hope he will come back to college. If I don't want him to. It's tough. I want him to do great in his career, and obviously money, I football, the pinnacle, but selfishly I hope he has Sean McDonough change of heart and just comes back to college football because I feel like that's where you belong moving onto our next question from Hayden hover. Dear Bruce and Stu love the show. I was wondering which team or teams with you predict pull off an upset this season being a double digit underdog. I was stayed. I will pull it off at home semi regularly, but might be too good to be large underdogs more than once the season and picking against Texas used to be good pick, but they seem to good. Now, what about maybe Virginia, or I could see chip Kelly and UCLA catching people off guard? Big underdog to any other picks actually, as we're talking working on this state of the program on UCLA and suspend a decent amount of time talking to folks there. I would think that they're a pretty good bet to pull off a big upset if you look at what they're what they're going to face. And I know that everybody inside the program feels like they're going to be a lot better than they were last. Remember at the end of the year. They were playing pretty well. They were running the ball pretty well. Again, their schedule is interesting lit. Get this, this is a Statham have in our in our piece that runs next week in the first four weeks of the season. They play upon on instead at a combined record of forty one and twelve. That's pretty staggering to say, and I, I suspect and two of those games are on the road. Cincinnati's on the road and wazoo on the road my hunches, they will knock off one of those three teams that they play in uh, the fourth team in their San Diego State, who's been traditionally very good at slightly down year last year. Play Oklahoma at Hoke Oklahoma. So it's Oklahoma. Cincinnati, Washington state. Underdog. Cincinnati. That we probably shouldn't know that by now, but I definitely will be Oklahoma. I would think they'd be Washington state, although with the I don't think they will be you're right. They don't be with but with certainty quarterback there. I think that's a good. I think that's a good one. I don't have any problems. Ginny, I don't really have a sense of whether they'll be, you know, who in the would they be big underdogs to another one. I throw in there also from the pack twelve Arizona, not that I think they're going to be a great team this year. But Khalil Tate back and healthy, you know, just that alone gives them a bit of a giant killer possibility at least on occasion to answer your question about who would Virginia be the only team I could see Virginia possibly being double digit underdog to they play at Notre Dame and late September. Well, that's definitely and they play at Miami. And Miami has a really really soft schedule so Miami. But I. Think Miami and early October is going to be I don't think Virginia was pretty good. It was like Virginia was three and nine last year. They they want a game. So I don't know if they're going to be thought as as, as lowly as that. So those are those are picks, one other one, it's not really original because they just did this last year. But Perdue, you know obviously put up on the shockers of the season last year against Ohio State. I think they're going to be better than they were last season. But still, obviously, the team that's a double digit underdog when they play some of the big name teams in the big ten this next question, I really liked? It was a fun question to kind of kick around before we reconvened from Michael Harrington student. Bruce love both the audible and the athletic. Thank you. Michael a so a coach is gone game which of the following coaches will still be in their current job in three years, or five years doesn't matter, whether you think is from retiring changing jobs, or being fired. I've picked two coaches from each power five conference that most intrigue me. But of course. You may have others you debate. And so, before we get to his choices. I mean five years is a long time. I was just going to say, I mean, the end of the day, most college coaches will not still be in the same place in five. Yeah. So luxury to do it. Three years. Yes. And when I say, three years, I'm saying will not be there for the twenty will be in the same job for the twenty twenty one season. Okay. So that means. Yes. That's correct. Okay. So his options are for the Pac twelve this one's an obvious one clay Helton, the other one not. So obviously, we don't think that's what he means. He he's in, in three years. So I think he's saying they last three more seasons. Okay. That's what I'm saying. Like I three years is a long time. Let's just do two years. Okay. That makes it a little more meatier. So he has clay Helton, Mike Leach, not being where they are in the Pac twelve in the big twelve years, Lincoln Riley, unless miles in the big ten Jim Harbaugh and Kirk farance in the SEC Nick Sabin, and Dan Mullen in the ACC. He has Willie Taggart and Mack Brown. So clearly Michael is not buying into the older national title coaches coming back and having having a successful next run of, of the guys he listed the one that most surprised me where the one I feel like there's most likely. Going to be there as Dan Mullen, I dunno where Dan Mullen would leave from Florida. Unless the next two years, unless you have some kind of incident that caused them to be forced out, which may be Michael knows something no one else, does or that it would just the bottom would fall out wasn't like he had a pretty solid first year. So I don't know what it would be again. He saying three years from now, we're saying to, but that was my context, so you wanna give your coaches first, or you want me to do it. Let's go back on coach coach. Let's go you can weigh in on that. But also, let's let's start on the ACC alphabetically. Okay. And say which to coaches, do you think will not be on their spot in twenty twenty one you're making into a game. He didn't intend to be okay. Well, why don't we evaluate mind than you, can you can tell me and then let's go through his less than we'll do that. I okay clay Helton. I an agreement if I had to pick two two in the Pac twelve I would take Clayton on that choice to not be there. Yeah. Yes. Mike leach. I don't know where Mike Lee is going to go. He. He's not, he's not an easy person to fix up on a blind date in this case. And yet I feel like you won't be there in three years. You do not think where will he go. I know. But I just seems like okay so he's been there since two thousand twelve. So this will be his eight. Really, we're talking about, we'll likely to make it to year eleven I walk in state. I kind of don't think so. So what are these scenarios that cliff Kingsbury knocks it out of the park with the cardinals? And then there's an even more embraced for the air, raid, and that and some NFL owners go, go. You know what, give me that guy? I'll, I'll roll the dice with him. That seems to me to be flight more likely at this point than another Tennessee was about to hire him until John Currie got booted out. Search. So is there another Tennessee type school? It's going to come calling possibly, but it does seem like the infatuation with the raid might get him a call to that. Okay. Just a way on, on this. Okay. So. The big twelve he has Lincoln Riley, and less mild sumit Lincoln would go to the NFL and less go back to Hollywood. I guess I don't know what he's thinks I would agree with him on the less miles, the name that I think, is more likely to end up in the NFL than Lincoln Riley in this window is actually Matt rule from Baylor. I think people just assume the Lincoln Riley, you know, I the main room after the Browns, I think he liked being college coach. I think he's got a really good setup at Oklahoma. I don't think he's looking to rush out of there. So I would say he's still there and less miles. I think you and I are pretty much on the same page there that was that's going to be a dumpster fire. So whether it's two years, three years, I just don't think he'll be there very long. You think he's going to look in the mirror go, what have I got myself into once the losses start to come where they'll just fire him because it'll be such a train wreck. I don't think it's going to be that. I don't know. I mean I do think it's going to be a different reality than what. He knew and Baton Rouge. I just think he's one completely, you know, it's a complete one eighty from where he was perhaps that good. Maybe recent comp could be something like what Margaret just went through, like I'm not saying it's impossible to he'll have some success there. It just doesn't seem like a long term situation where the programs that get a lot better. So Mark richt kind of rusada writing on the wall and hung it up three seasons in maybe could be that way with him. I mean, the difference is Mark richt God, a much better job. You can win at Miami. Yeah. And he had a ten and team. So I'm not saying the programs are so more just maybe the trajectory of that tenure. To make a prediction, the most comfortable item of clothing that you own in your wardrobe is going to be free fly underwear, or do you think close my free fly shorts very well, I'll say this. They are the most comfortable underwear I have, and the shorts are, are great. They're very, very user friendly. Makes it sound a little weird, but I just think that they, you can wear them in almost anything, you can wear them. They're not necessarily workout shorts, but they feel like they are. It's just a great product and I'm glad to have free fly as a sponsor of this podcast wanted to tell our friends more about them. Well, here's the background on free. Fly team behind free. Okay, now it gets it's gonna get interesting. The big the big ten Jim Harbaugh in kirks parents, Kim Harbaugh either gonna lead this program to glory, or he's going to have to formulate some sort of exit plan. I you just did the Michigan state of the program and a big data speech and I got the sense that you are very bullish on the wolverines. I think they have a window now to, to make a run at it. You know, like the Josh Gaddis story was an interesting one to work on because I know him but I didn't really I'd never really drilled down to talk to a lot of people who worked with him and know him and his reputation is, is something inside a football where that story was up for about a hadn't been up on our site for an hour, and I heard from three different football coaches to who'd worked on Hawaiian spoke to an third who I didn't know even knew him knew new from like the clinic circuit and talked about their relationship and everybody raves about him. You know after the story went. One of the guys that I interview I tried interview for the story, he was away and got back to me, and we added into the story, a couple of hours after been up was dean hood, whose, like one urban Meyer's childhood best friends, who is now the linebacker coach, Kentucky was a longtime defense air, Wake Forest, and he said, in thirty five years in coaching, Josh Gaddis is the smartest football player I've ever been around and it's not even close. And you start hearing some of these kinds of stories and people like, well he's never called plays. He was receivers coach. And they talk to Joe Moorhead and this is in the story where he's talking about he called the game winning play. When we be when we beat Iowa was just -ment. He saw he made it. And then I was able to find on YouTube, fortunately, you know, the or the SPN camera crew, actually was in the huddle, and you kind of see Josh Gad motioning to Joe more Ed, what this adjustment. They wanna call. They have a really good offensive line. I think they'll be still, you know, I think they should still have enough. Personnel now, we'll see adjustments Don Brown because at the end of last year, they were not playing great. They did in the first ten games in non Las too. But I do think at some point in the next two years. Jim Harbaugh is going to get them in the playoff. I. I. Moya singlehandedly. Call the surgeon season ticket sales. Although maybe Michigan has a wait list and all that. But you are you're giving the fans a whole lot of reason for hope after what was a pretty dismal end to last season. My money would be on both. Those guys are offer and still being their parents got like the ultimate setup there as we know he gets a new guaranteed year every time he went seven games. He's got no reason step down. And you know, that's a short window, I think Harbaugh will have enough success to stay will be will he still be getting the overrated talk possibly. But I think he'll still be there one quick thing, though, related here, Gat story there. You had a little nugget in there that caught my eye, and I thought, oh, this could become interesting, the season if for if Steve Sarkisian doesn't have a great year as OC feels like to regressing or something like that. And if Josh Gav is, is kicking body, Michigan? You had a nugget in there that. That saving basically told them, you know. Yeah, I'm not gonna make you the I wanna first time play car. I'm not gonna make you a play callers. And so he went to Michigan that could be interesting. Yeah. I don't know. You know, Josh retail, you know, told me that story what I don't know is did Nick save and take it as because obviously, he just had Tosh LuPone on defenses of first time -fensive play caller, now, there was a lot of involvement from Pete Golding who had been a defensive play caller UTSA in some other places and he was very involved in it on the defensive side. But of course Nick Sabin is a defensive guy. He's not by trade on offense guy, so does he look at it and go Kay while I can work around it. If I have a an inexperienced defensive play caller whereas on offense. It's not not something I wanna get into. I don't know the thought process behind that. But, you know, for some of the people, I've talked to remember, John shoop, who's some big ten remember North Carolina fan. He was the first person to hire gathered when he was on Butch Davis staff. He was North Carolina's offense coordinator. And he said, you know, there's the judgments as Joe Moorhead talked about, but he said in my first years offense, coordinator, I was with the bears and we went eleven and three in the NFL. He said, so, you know, it there's an adjustment. But you'd never know in the middle of it. But he goes, I and this is shoot words goes, I'm I bet that Michigan offense will not underachieve Josh Gad, as he was that bullish on, on this guy. So, so the reason for excitement at the very least now back to Michael's question or the way, I kind of framed it the two guys, I suspect will not be there in a couple of years in their at their current schools were on the opposite end of the spectrum. And that was Chris ash at Rutgers, who's got such an uphill battle there. And lovey Smith. It'll annoy I just I think two years, a long time when you're when you're struggling at that level. Yeah. I mean we could go through all the obvious hot coaches not though. Nami. Those guys end up, you know pulling it out. Nick Sabin, Dan Mullen. I think we'll both be there. You know, people waiting for saving the slowdown, it doesn't seem like that's happening. I would agree with you. I don't like really. Tagger shifter's. It's one of those situations where now he has rescued himself from some pretty deep first year holes before. But it's one of those situations where the first season was so bad. And yes, people no, I think have a fuller picture of how bad things got under JIMBO. Worst APR in all the BS. But I just it's gonna be hard to fully dig out of that at a place where we've talked about this. I know we have before, like if you get if even if they continue to get better, you know, the, the standard of force as Mashal titles. So what's the best case scenario for Willie Taggart by your three nine and four? I just I don't see that happening. Mack brown. You know, I have mixed feelings about that one my little more confident him than I am in miles. Because of the staff he put together. That's the other thing, right? With, with less marbles wherever you think of the head coach. I think I don't think he, I think he thought he was going to be able to get more guys that you wanted on that staff you look at that. Staff is pretty underwhelming. Mack brown. Got a really good staff a UNC. I don't disagree with that. I think what to me is what's harder as what he inherited eat a they're still players at North Carolina. Whereas Kansas, I'm not saying anybody, but just it is such a such a moment monumental climb to just be competitive in that league. Whereas, you know, North Carolina I think you are much closer to it resources wise. Yeah, that is just so much of a tougher job like if you flipped it, and you put Mack Brown in Kansas and less miles in North Carolina. I would. Give less miles, a lot better chance to survive it, you know, over last couple of years, and I wouldn't give background much of a chance to do it. That's true not impossible. Somebody get eventually dig Kansas out of that, that whole, I actually think David Beatty was start. You any seeing upswing there? I understand you wanted to come in and get his own guy. Hookah Williams was, obviously, huge recruit. And I ended up kind of randomly watching some of their game against Oklahoma. Last year. They haven't put up forty Oklahoma. And it just felt like you know, I don't remember what the final record was. It still wasn't very good. But that at least they're starting to, to make some headway here anyway. So in the end, the only ones we, it seems like between you the only ones the we feel pretty confident won't be there. Two to three years are Helton and miles. Yes. Or how do you think about Taggart? I think tiger has a decent chance to get it turned around as you mentioned is, you know, he's not at Oreo, but the other. Stops. He struggled early on. He struggled a lot at USF and he got it flipped at a time almost nobody would get it flipped. I think he will get it going here. I mean, look, there's a lot of controversy behind taken KENDALL Briars with the baggage he has. But in terms of on the field. What, what I think you'll see I think that offense will be better now at the end of the day. Like you said, the standard is really high enough issue. So year three, you know is nine and four. Again, Clemson is at a different place than they were at anytime in Florida state's run since they've been in the league right from the time, Florida state got in the league they've had some good players Clemson was anything like what Clemson is now. And that's a different thing. Now if Miami gets going, then it just makes it that much harder. So, you know, I don't want to say if it's I, I could see it being fifty fifty to be honest on. That. Yeah. Now, there's no question. We got a lot more good questions. We need to get to do. Next question's from Philip story. Love the show guys with the announcement last week that Bama will play a two for one with south Florida. I was wondering if you for see this becoming a more common and even even becoming a possibility in situations where both teams or from power five conferences, as Georgia fan. I enjoy this since we create some interesting road trips to places that may not be a high profile enough for a home in home. I northwestern Boston College Duke, etcetera, Stu. What do you think of this I hadn't really thought of that before as a possibility? Now, there would be a certain level of pride involved, just like UCF is letting pride and stubbornness keep it from doing what you USF's doing at assume a power five school would feel great about doing a two for one. But at the same time if you put other than that, I mean if north western had the chance to play three games against Alabama. And one of them's that Ryan field come on. You gotta do that the questions whether I think the question is, whether Alabama would be interested in that because, you know, they're scheduling out home and homes right now with Notre Dame Texas that cetera. Do they really wanna commit three games to a less prestigious school? I don't know. One thing that's one thing. That's dictating a lot of this is that to, to pay a sum bell team to complete your stadium. One time the cost of that is almost is risen to almost two million dollars for one game. So that's one incentive for doing the two for one is you don't have to pay those guarantees, but I don't know. I, I would like to see it. I think that would be really cool. I don't know whether either both parties go for it. There's a lot of factors that go into this. I wonder how many schools will look and go if you're if you're Alabama saying, not only their relationship to the AD at USF, but also saying, wow. That's an area where we could we could be connected to it would only help us that much more Albany's anymore. Help recruiting in that part of the state. But that just Adra visibility a little bit more to and that's a that's another plus to it. I would also point out that there's a reason north western do Stanford, all play other a lot. You know, they, they wanna play those other, quote unquote academic schools. So I don't think they're gonna stop playing each other to suddenly start doing a lot of two for ones against big name, SEC, or big twelve or whoever programs. Yes. Mex- question. David Crowley, Bruce, Stu huge fan of the audible, thank you, David. As a Louisville fan I am still in shock from the complete catastrophe. That was last year too intense season. Sure, Bobby Trina seem to give up. But it was incredible. Just how quickly the bottom fell out of the program. The moment Lamar Jackson left my question. Can you think of any similar cases of a program being so reliant on a single transcendent player such that it reached all time highs with him? And then immediately all time lows the moment he departed, I can't do anything quite that sudden and drastic from one year to the next I can okay, go ahead. I am to one. That's one that popped out him in the other that I thought about a little, it was like this is an interesting frame of it. The one that popped out at me, and we're talking transcendent players. Stu who is my all time. God of college football player. You know, the spy now is our listeners to now be Cam Newton. So they won fourteen games in a national title with him he leaves, and they go thirteen and fourteen the next two years, and they have a coaching change while impotence Pacific. I think they went from that to five and seven to three nine. Well, the other one is a little bit more nuanced. And it can you know I thought about it, especially living out here Sam darnold. You know, he was the biggest reason why think clay Helton had success was I two full years, and then he left and the bottom fell out last year. If you look at Sam darnold record as a starter he was twenty and four if you take a look at the twelve games before Sam darnold was the starter, the twelve games after US. He's record is eleven thirteen. Now, obviously, they didn't reach like all time highs under Sam darnold because you see won national titles without him. And it wasn't like he led them to a national title, but he did lead them to, to a Pac twelve title and a Rose Bowl championship, and he was a great player without him the bottom kind of fell out. I mean, they were pretty awful last year five and seven, so those would be my best to examples and the only one, I thought of is not a one year thing. It was more of a two year thing, although you meant. That is Oregon Oregon after Mario left. You know the national title game with his last year the next year they were able to get Vernon Adams in, and that kind of close the gap a little or kept him afloat. But then, once he was gone, you know, four eight getting blown out by everybody. Mark Alford just fired. It's not so much. I mean, tell me if you agree, it's not so much that, like they had to have these guys to win. It's more that if you were really transgenic quarterback that it helps mask, some issues like it was apparent that and say, I can remember Sam darnold last season. How many times he was running for his life, those clear that. They had issues on the line of scrimmage. He was just able to compensate for that. And then once he was out of there on the breaking a freshman quarterback lahar win like that. Same with Oregon, you know, they their defense, just cratered at the end of Helfer time there, but it was easier to still win some games. You had no more passer in the country. No more passer rated passer country with Louisville. I just think it was I mean. I almost predicted how that would go when he was hired. He's such a chain of such terrible recruiter that by the time he gets a year for the bottom falls out. So it was the combination of obviously, the more Jackson was a transcendent player, but during that time he was their, their talent level was just falling and falling and falling. And then once you take him out of there. That was the end not just that he's such terrible recruiter. I think it's just the from human being standpoint. He wears people down and sucks the life and the joy out of a lot of things in this. I certainly I went to Louisville for a story of interrupt Scott Satterfield you talk to some of the players and it's like the dark cloud is lifted. And I think after awhile that wears guys down, and especially when you don't have success. That's why the bottom fell out to be too intend. They weren't losing game. There were getting blown out of the building by, like thirty points game on average. So I think that's. That's really part of it. It's, it's one thing to be a bad record or something to be bad recruiter who seen as like a bad human being or a bad. The obad leader autho wasn't able to retain good assistant coaches because of that. So, you know, ended up with half his family way the coaching staff by the end. Yeah. All right. We actually do have a lot more great emails from you guys. So if you didn't hear it, this week doesn't mean it won't come back possibly in the future next week. Maybe I did wanna bring up remember the last time along with you. We got a pretty interesting question about relegation, and promotion. And we both admitted that we don't follow international soccer closely enough to fully understand it. But we did do that, exercise where we relegated. The worst power five teams brought up the best group of five teams we did make a huge oversight, so many more s among others called us out fell of love the podcast, Melissa regularly got a bone to pick with the last one, I expect this from disco stupid, Bruce. How do you all include Houston, and cincy in the hypothetical power five relegation but leave out UCF from being promoted, we have no good explanation for, we just somehow went through that never? Yeah. That was an oversight talked about it right afterward. The next day after live. And I think what happened was we pick Cincinnati go to the big ten, and then at that point, I think, at least me, I think at that point, I just put that conference aside. And when we got to the SEC, and ACC was thinking, sunbelt whoops, obviously UCF should have been ideally, in the SEC just because see fan hate them so much that would be great or, or what could have been in the big twelve they could have been in the ACC should be somewhere, though, especially when they've won as much as they won the last two years, and finally, Dave Preston. So I did learn from reading emails, I did learn a lot more about relegation, and promotion. I can't believe that you really truly is like, you know, if if a school college went from the big ten to the American like their budget, they would lose forty fifty million dollars like overnight and apparently does happen in soccer, and they have to cut loose there. Players anyway. But I thought this was really unique because remember we talked about relegating Louisville promoting Appalachia state and okay, which school with Scott Satterfield end up at well, there's an actual versions comes from day, Preston. He points out. There was an actual version of this in Dutch soccer this year where the coach of a lower league team accepted a job with a highly team and then the two teams faced at one another in the playoff. So if the coach with his current team had if coach this current team wins than his school, he the team is going to was going to be relegated vice versa. So the current coach of camber Appalachian state in your analogy took the job with I'm gonna not know how to pronounce this day graft shop, Louisville allergy, but now they're playing in the playoffs. So you might want this was sent to several weeks ago. So here's what happened the team, his the coach's team. So his team is going to stay his his team at the time was gonna stay in the in the big league. And the team he's going to was going to stay relegated. And he said, that's a good thing quote. If Campbell had won, I would have congratulated them and giving them a hand but it is not good for the clubs would be promoted now it will take two to two and a half years for the new stadium to arrive needs time in two and a half years, you can build a new team promotion, often not so difficult. But staying it as much more difficult with the possibilities that we have you magin if Scott's feel like now that's fine. We'll stay we'll stay in the sunbelt for another two two and a half years till we can build up our roster. Ouch. I don't know. It's a fun exercise to go through. But obviously college football zone animal, and I don't know. Fun game to play obviously not. I mean, you know, he that would never happen in real life. We're talking about universities and budgets that fund, not just the football program, but every other team in the in the department. So needless to say that would that would not work in reality, though. But I think it would also make once I I'm debating with Jim cheating incentives would create this if people were in, like a panic of we don't, you know, immediately win. It's not just their jobs. They would also give gated. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Needless to say, I think this only works on the pros where you're not recruiting right? I don't even know. We're gonna get more emails about that, too. Okay. And you can send them to the audible pod at gmaiLcom. And like I said, we still have more in the Bank. But that doesn't mean Asian sense. More this week. Eight estate. Woo down and tie. Welcome back to the solid. Verbal boys and girls money is tight Hildebrand. Joining me as always over there. Stolley in wintry and fatherly New York City, my man, Dan, Rubenstein, sir. How are you? Gotta tell you tie after having and by having I mean life having a baby. Yeah. I've never slept better. Yeah. Is that true us deep uninterrupted? Deep uninterrupted. No sped up. No, nothing. No, I call. I call the solid baby. Now Fussell Westbrook. Okay. Because that's the only entertaining thing at three forty seven AM. Right, right. I am otherwise extremely excited especially because today's show actually is related to the solid baby. And I swear I swear I apologize for this show jumping the shark once the solid baby was born. But this show that we are doing is actually a re recording. So we're actually recording it on Wednesday. The tell me what date is the twenty first but twenty twentieth Wednesday the twentieth. So we're actually recording. This is not a stapling together. I guess we could have done that. We could we thought out it. I have I have the original audio from her first attempt at this. But maybe at some point we'll use that for the reasons I'm guessing you're about to describe here. Yes. So if you've downloaded the show if you're looking at the show this is in. Pod catcher of choice. You know that we are discussing the nineteen most intriguing transactions at least so far of the off season. And the questions they be get yet. I think that's a good word now that was very old English of you, Dan. Thank you. And so we have that list in front of us. We powered through gosh. Eight nine nine and a half of these look here. I feel like we got up to like number ten, right? And we get to number ten in. You're like, hey, hold on a second. I gotta talk Jody bathroom Johnson. Which isn't uncommon know as we're doing a show? Yeah. But then you just casually come back. And you're like, I think we gotta go to the hospital. Now, we gotta go. It was it was a situation where Jodi with an I was out running some errands and choose to text me, I think I just had a couple of contractions like, okay. And you're not supposed to go to the hospital unless they're really sort of tight. Together. I think five minutes apart start to start. Yeah. Let's let's do the full anatomy lesson here. And so she called her doctor and her doctor was like you probably don't need to. But why don't why don't you guys? Just go into the hospital just in case. And so at that point Jodi was like we had go, and I was like, okay tie gotta go. Yeah. No. It was at that point clear where your priorities were. I must admit though, there was at least a very small part of me that was hoping you would be tasked with delivering the baby while we were recording the podcast. It would have been cool to be like all right? I'm just gonna call in. And I'm going to do play by play in the Ober ways of the upper east side from Brooklyn and just like anyway tie back to MAC Brown. There's a lot to like about the higher. And as like Jodi is stink me. Right. So we didn't end up doing that. She didn't end up going into labor labor until the following day. But this is this is the final conclusion of the nineteen most intriguing transaction. Of the young season and the questions they beget a hundred percent true story there. Yeah. I have the audio at some point. We'll we'll find a way to staple it to something else that we're doing, but suffice to say, Dan, this show has had a little extra time in the oven. We've had a chance to ripen this show appropriately add some personality to it. We did a show before the start of the two thousand eighteen season where we talked about the nineteen most pivotal people pivotal people, and I've had this strange affliction for the number nineteen as just as a scoring or object in college football games and ever someone finishes with nineteen points. And I just find that amusing. So as the official your Jim Carey number twenty three that's as the official favourite prime number of the solid. Verbal number nineteen is is just finding a way to route itself and all content both preseason during the season and otherwise and so today, and it's twenty nine team and. Two thousand nineteen got a lot of nineteen things going on transactions in the off season. What it means moving forward? Yes. Just a lotta number nineteen things going on here at solvable headquarters today talking about the nineteen most important most influential you name it transactions. That have transpired here over the off season. Now should add you put this list together starting from number nineteen all the way down through number one early blame we're gonna. Yeah, we're going to count these down. I do take issue with some of where you put these is rates, should I consider this a ranking of any sort? I mean, this is where I my head was at in late January. So I'm I'm going gonna stay loyal to lay January Dan lay Daniel airy, and we're in a role with this order, and you take issue with what with what you take issue with for. Sure. Okay. Well, before we go any further. Don't forget you can find us at soliver dot com or. On Twitter were on Facebook were an Instagram. Some of the other streaming services just search for the solitaire. But whatever us to listen to your shows. You can find us there as well. All true. I ray. All right. The end so. We don't have a defined sound to signify moving from one item on your list to another. And what we did the first time around is. I I was really just pulling things out here on the soundboard trying to match up sound clips with what I thought was interesting, right. Just from an audio standpoint. So the first thing here that I wanted to bring up as we talk about number nineteen. Yeah. You know, what that is? That's the transfer portal, Dan. Yes. The transfer portal has clearly seen a new level of claim new level of celebrity this off season. And we'll start with your number nineteen emphasize your Penn State at losing a ton of players to transfer. What do you mean, what are you feeling when you say that in my feeling what meaning is that they lost what six seven eight players, which every program as agency has shifted at least in the direction of players and players are further able to showcase themselves for a school on the same level, a bigger level, a smaller level that everybody's going through the transfer thing. But Penn State for whatever reason seems to among college. Football's powers be hit a little bit harder and these are players of varying, you know contribution. But it's Joon Johnson was I guess the big. I don't know. He just decided he's going to play as a grad transfer for Oregon, and he had some drops issues. Tell you, sir. He's gonna add a dozen to a dozen and a half drops to your passing game out. That's fine. Yeah. It's not mine. Let me be clear. I'm not the offensive coordinator. But whether it's let's see say Humphries went from Penn State to Cal a Iran or Aaron Monroe. I don't believe he has signed with anybody. Mark allen. I'm seeing Irvin. Charles, Brandon Polk. So there some names here that were former blue chip guys Cam Sullivan Brown, Danny Dalton when over to BC so state in the relative northeast, not Darren Dalton Manatt Darren Dalton. But here's my question to you tie. Because I know you take some issue at this is at this point this I wouldn't even go as far as saying alarming, but hefty number all things considered does depth become a concern without trace McSorley, and a pretty tough October. And then they go to Ohio State later on. Well, okay, dept is always a concern. But it's not as much of a concern now because Penn State has recruited really really well does not help to lose is kind of talent to have it walking out the door. We've talked nauseam about how on that really all that concerned about it. I think if you've got a bunch of guys transferring, it indicates more talent up and down in your depth chart. She's also easier to transfer so for as. Bad as it might feel in seem in the short term. I think longer term it may not be as ominous for the state of the program. So depth is always a concern. They've recruited. Well, I think they'll be okay there. But the bigger concern is trace McSorley, you know, you asked the question is depth. They concerned without trace. Well, depth is always a concern, but separate from trace traces what I'm most concerned about. I like that first name basis you guys are on. Yeah. It is. You know, we know each other. I'm always concerned about that quarterback spot. And especially when you've had a guy trace McSorley who was so clearly been the lifeblood of your program the last three years where they go how they do whether it's Sean Clifford or Tommy Stevens. Or if they find another solution. So where you were just going to have to wait and see, but suffice to say it's not going to be the same Penn State offense without trace. Yeah. That does that that element of this. Absolutely. Does concern me you could say Penn State's is without a trace, boom, boom. I'm a dad now, I can make those kinds of Shurmur marks. Number eighteen play me. A sounds. He. That's okay. There you go. I think this is appropriate. Shoutout. Andre brower and this one I have is Texas and their quarterback room thinning out without Shane shell who has moved onto SMU Cameron rising. I think made his way to Utah to fill in their quarterback room. And Texas still has I think a blue chip from the last recruiting class and they brought in one or two in this class. So not a ton of experience behind Saint etlinger. And so the question that this then gives me may brings up in my mind is is he enough of a standout with everything they lost. And I think they even lost more defense than offense. But there in terms of returning production. However, much you value that metric Texas is not in a great place, especially outweighed with Colin Johnson. Mill Jordan Humphry gone is enough of a standout to be there. All everything high usage, you know, whenever they need a tough yard once again, an okay onto Ingram had a nice year last year later on. But is he that all income? Compasses star that he will once again, get them to double digit wins. See I I would hesitate again like with the previous question to lump to the things you said together. Okay. And that would be stand out in high usage. I think when healthy Sam algorithms every bit of that standout player. Okay. He was healthy is relative the healthiest relative. But he was the team leader in rushing touchdowns as past year. He had sixteen rushing touchdowns was great guys above him who had more yardage only three touchdowns a piece. So clearly they leaned on Sam etlinger, they need to find a way Tom Herman does to lean a little bit more on that running game to get more out of it because the high usage part of this equation. I think is going to be pretty key. They need to keep him upright. He's a kid with a bit of an injured passed on the football field. You gotta find a way to keep him upright. And I just don't think you can keep running him with such regularity and expect that he's going to be bulletproof. Oof. In the twenty nine thousand nine season. It's also it's how do you prevent from going full J T Barrett essential right with Sam Allahyar, and he is going to be behind a pretty inexperienced line as it relates to where they were last year Scott to find a way to keep him healthy. He's a good player. I love watching them play. They need to find a way to keep him healthy and at least distribute the offense around a little bit more. Yeah. Pretty crazy. New look big twelve either way seal Kansas, Kansas state, West Virginia, Texas, Tech all with new. We're gonna talk about all those teams. Let's move on. Yes. To number seventeen seventy s who just got. Oh, I like the double Brooklyn nine nine though. Thank you. You've got here. The bottom of the big ten head coaches sticking around. And in particular, you call out lovey Smith at Illinois. Chris Nash of Rutger on his hit. Let me ask you this dim. You look at the situations on both fronts. Do you see a path forward? A so called way out for either of those guys lovey at Illinois or ash at Rutgers their path out a path forward. Yeah. I think lovey Smith has a much clearer one. Although I think he just hired his son, which hope hopefully, okay. Oh, I it's not anything. I'm a huge fan of. That's it's a higher risk and keeping a staff together when there is double family involved. But offensively they did some interesting things last year they play their in the west, right? So there are there's not like a situation where Illinois has to go through superpower after superpower after superpower and recruiting well enough that the level of talent has increased from where it was just a year or two ago. I'm looking at the road schedule right now, it's not on. It's not a bad schedule. No at uconn at Minnesota at Purdue at Michigan state at Iowa. It's a little bit. For the back end, Michigan Wisconsin consecutive weeks, both at home. But could they go four and eight could they get to five six and flirty? I dunno. It's doable. It's it's a lot closer than the disaster in Piscataway. Yeah. And I guess I guess the question is when we talk about a path forward away out whatever you want to use. I think at least for Illinois because looked the schedule, and there might be some immediate chance of a little bit more optimism, right? But still both teams bottom two in the big ten in recruiting rankings for two thousand nineteen Illinois had a really small class had a couple of blue chips, though. Couple blue chips. Yeah. A couple of blue chips, but they need to start spinning some of that talent into gold in order to bring this program up a notch or two and dry for sex. I don't know skeptical that that happens in the. Near term. It's again a lot closer to the they're getting a lot closer to the road. If do remember playing what what game was it where you could just go completely off road. You know, Mario Kart where you just driving the wrong direction. You need to be picked up and dropped at. I think Illinois is at least even if they're going to come in seventh or eighth place there at least facing the right direction. And they don't need the cloud picker, upper the cloud, right? Yeah. Rutgers is perennially your dad playing. Mario kart. That's exactly where I see them. Right. Number sixteen in. What are we got Lincoln Riley? Who's that a pretty nice couple of years at Oklahoma and well welfare himself? Yeah. He and the Sooners land Jalen hurts, they hire Alex Grinch, and they bring in what appears to be the best modern Oklahoma recruiting class highlighted by believe what the best receiver in the country, certainly the best receiving class pass catching class in the country. I think that in and of itself is an enormous story would Oklahoma's been able to capitalizing and Brandon Huffman talked about it on a recruiting show. But at this point, my bigger question would be is Oklahoma's offense enough of a template at this point of a plug and play situation to us soom. Jalen hurts just dominates. No. And he's there. I don't think so. I take issue with the word template though, because what we saw this past season from from Lincoln Riley. And I think template I think opening up Microsoft Word save as and you've got the format for your route. That's not what I mean. Just put your stuff in. But when I think Lincoln Riley and what he did this year. I think more of a LEGO set where he can piece it together. However, you want not everyone can put it together in a manner that looks organized and an exciting, but he is seemingly found a way to do that both years on campus. Now, none more so than this past year with Kyle Murray and some of the injuries he had a face. This is clearly someone who knows how to assemble the pieces, he's a brilliant offensive mind. And my guess is that he's going to continue to have a lot of success at Oklahoma. You know, unless Lincoln reshuffles the deck little bit here and tries to offload some of that responsibility onto his running backs. I don't think it's an assumption that Jalen hurts is gonna come in. And just. Automatically shine from the get-go. I'm going to run through Oklahoma schedule stopped me when we get to a defense that you're particularly worried about with Oklahoma, Houston, South Dakota, UCLA, Texas Tech, Kansas, Texas. You can stop me there. That's fine. They replace a lot that was especially upfront West Virginia. Kansas state, Iowa State interesting, but nothing crazy Baylor TCU, maybe TCU. Yeah. And Oklahoma state bedlam. Okay. So even if Jalen hurts is clearly not Kyle Murray. Baker mayfield's the context is pretty good. It's pretty good. Clemson in the playoff is probably down your answer. Yeah. I don't know. It's I I like the fact that they've got a seasoned veteran who they can plug in at quarterback while they're trying to bring along Spencer rattler, I like that situation. Two really good running backs. I think he's I think he's going to be very good. But not capital g great. All right moving on to number fifteen. Oh, come on. That's the little guy, Dan. Yeah. That's the solid baby. I apologize in advance for this one. But I just couldn't self. That's fine. You don't have a drop of Jodi with a nice that's the closest you're gonna get because number fifteen is Michigan. Adding potentially a modern offense with the hiring of Josh Gaddis. Although they do lose a couple of key defensive coaches, namely, Greg Madison who becomes the new defensive coordinator at Ohio states. And the question that I have based on this as much more of the offense and the defense will Michigan on offense thrive, particularly in the back half of their schedule after they have that sort of rum com moments where they're going through changes. And they're getting a makeover in. Oh my God. You look so good in a bubble screen. Oh my gosh. You look so good in a in jet action going deep. The who knew once you took the glasses off that you could spread the ball around. Right. When michigan. Gets to October. I have the schedule in front of me right now. Yes, let's hear when Michigan gets to Tober. They have Iowa who they've struggled with recently. But then later on it's at Penn State and Notre Dame and consecutive weeks at Maryland, which feels incredibly trapping between Notre Dame at home and Michigan state at home. They go to college park and then at Indiana, and then they finish in Ann Arbor against Ohio State. So I would say a pretty challenging back half. So good that they get the sort of runway to get into a rhythm with their with their supposed- new look modernized offense. I just want to apologize because the one star reviews, we're going to get because of that sound clip. That's my. There. Oh, that's okay. It was worth it. I am enamored with the idea of Jim Harbaugh turning Michigan around. And you know, he's already turn them around. He's a fabulous coach short. I'm a namrd with the idea of him turning them into the superpower. And he's got the players. Sure. He's lost some of his coaching staff. But Michigan's ultimately going to be just fine. They're going to be a very tough out in the big ten but something about what we saw last year. Their inability to get over the hump when it was there for them right left me a bit shaken. Yes reasonable, and they lose it. Appears they lose Chris Evans who was the presumed starter at running back. They're pretty shallow running back. And I wonder how that informs. Yeah. Just how they moved the ball if they're going to rely so much on ground power when they don't really have that guy to depend on like they've been able to these past couple years with Ron Higdon. Sure. But the thing that I would point to at Michigan is as you went through the schedule, you know. So this is schedule has plenty of killer. But just enough filler Cher and enough of a mix of home and away where there's appropriate buffer in there. And there aren't a whole lot of stretches in there where you look at it and say, wow, that's a real murderer's row. I would say that back half though, the front half going or they host army and army loses their defensive coordinator. And Jay Hopson who did a pretty good job. And they they traveled to Madison after two weeks of less than challenging opponents. So I think it is like a good middle middle school. Dan. Thai. There is that appropriate buffer in there. It's done. Well, I me number fourteen number fourteen. Orlando roddick. Orlando roddick. All right, Dan, your boy, Justin Herbert he is coming back. He had interest from the NFL. He could have gone by mere fact of him staying Oregon, I think is very much contender in the Pac twelve for this coming season. Where do you stand on your Oregon ducks and how Justin Herbert sticking around will influence their twenty nineteen campaign? It's a good roster around him on offense outside of some receiver issues. They hired a new receivers coach and Dylan Mitchell decided to leave early and maybe it's a fresh start for everybody. You mentioned John Johnson. And how you're a skeptic of his ability to come in to put it nicely. I am scared. I mean, he was still a two years ago. He was an impressive weapon when he wasn't counted on as much when he was like, the number two and a half guy. Right when he caught a game winning touchdown against Iowa. Yes. Yes. The world was on his side. But it drop a couple of passes key situations that tends to turn the tide pretty quickly. Yeah. My my curiosity is he closer to Matt Barkley or Baker Mayfield in coming back for that senior year. He has an incredible offensive line in front of him. Like Baker Mayfield. Did his running backs from last year are I mean, Tony Brooks James is gone, but he didn't really contribute. And so they have these young running backs were pretty good. And then they bring in some good receivers in this recruiting class heart to fully count on them to contribute a ton. I think it's a good decision. This past year was the year, given the schedule, and I imagined this coming year tough schedule really tough road schedule. It's a tough schedule opening in Arlington against Auburn. And then having Stanford in Washington on the road as well in the north. It's it's it's tough. I there's no way around it. I m magin this year looks they win one game that they should have won last year, and you know, maybe finish nine and three but having Justin Herbert who for all of the NFL potential and claim was not one of the best dozen or so quarterbacks in the country. I think I don't think that was I think that's fair for debate last year. So he he himself has a lot to prove to not end up in the wide. Did he come? Back again conversation that we could be having by week seven or eight. Okay. That seems fair. I I actually think that this should be ranked a little bit higher on August. I think this is going to be a big time story that we it's interesting. Yeah. Yeah. Because having that kind of veteran quarterback leadership high level quarterback leadership early on in the season. A lot of times. That's the kind of thing that really pays serious dividends in the early part of the year to have that experience. It's a big deal are you so on your your personal needle, and I apologize for bringing up your personal needle. Yes. Is it wavering in the Matt Barkley or the Baker Mayfield direction? Oregon's recruited, so. Well, I mean there there's a really nice class coming under a good roster around him. I'll go more in the Baker Mayfield side. Okay. Not a lot. But trying to okay, let's go to omit. I know I played the sound ready. But I want to play. All miss is trying to figure itself out on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, Dan. So naturally, naturally what has met Luke done? Hired huge names to run both his offense and defense. He hired Richard Rigas who has not been a coordinator in quite some time. But has you know, one of the best modern offensive minds to run the offense for all miss and Oxford and Mike MacIntyre to run the defense who has been a coordinator relatively recently did a decent enough job at Duke, and is certainly a big name has coached in Oxford is responsible as people will be very quick to point out for bringing Patrick Willis to Oxford and has named cachet especially in the south to what extent I don't know. I I'm doubting it works because it it. There seems to be too many hurdles at this point in the SEC west to make a dent with just interesting coaches when the talent certainly doesn't appear to be there. Yeah. It's a tough side of the SEC. Isn't it? It's a tough draw especially with Mississippi State recruiting as well as they haven't. And ole miss put together pretty nice class all things considered this year, but moving onto a new quarterback with Alabama getting stronger and stronger and bringing back a Heisman contender techs Sanam only getting stronger LSU, I think surprise a lot of people are selves included with the step. They took for this past year against a lot of winning teams on their schedule. It's it's a tough ask for them to turn things around pretty quickly. It's a tough ask to be in the SEC west because no matter how realistic there's gotta be that constant impulse to want to be Alabama. Or to try to compare yourself to Alabama. If only so you can get the hell out of your side conference. Right. And as we talked about time and time again in the show, it is driven not just the SEC. But the rest of college football crazy already. I hope it works for him. A we'll see. It'd be entertaining. If it did if they were a team that lost a bunch of games forty four to forty one its success. Enough for Mike MacIntyre, but it's a success. All right moving on to number twelve. Home dog of the week. We've got here you've got here. Jeff Brom staying at Perdue for quote, unquote. Jeff Bezos money, Dan. Yeah. A lot has transpired with Jeff Bezos life, by the way, log on this. At least not initially since we did the last show. Yeah. What does this mean for college football? The fact that Jeff Brom would stay at a place like Perdue. He would decide not to go back to his alma mater plan like your tone, by the way, I like Purdue a place like Purdue you can't deny the fact that it was the underdog story for Purdue to hold onto him. It was unexpected definitely what does it mean for the big ten for produce a program? Given the fact that they were able to hold onto Jeff Brahm and also does more money mean mo- problems doesn't mean less patience with a really difficult first half of the schedule for Purdue. It is it really is. I almost feel like. I looked at the contract, and you know contract is only as meaningful as another school's ability to pay it out. But if Jeb Rahm is incredible this series. I still don't think he's gonna be at Purdue for very long. But I also think it's an uphill battle for Jeff rom to be incredible. At Purdue this year opening up he has been there at Nevada. Yeah. Here's a schedule at Fateh vandy at home, T you at home, Minnesota at home. Then they go to Penn State back home against Maryland to Isla back home against Illinois home against Nebraska. And then they close out on the road at northwestern on the road at Wisconsin and back in west Lafayette for the Indiana hoosiers, so not a horrible so Joel, but we've got road games in there at Penn State at Wisconsin, which is always a difficult place to play, and then, you know, a non conference game against TCU against van de LA. Like their summary spots in there. Yeah. Put some respect on TCU's name cheese at bowl champion. Excuse me. TCU? Yeah. They miss the Michigan schools. They don't have Ohio State. It's relative to the rest of the big ten a terrific schedule. It's just that that first half with having banding of attitude. It's three bowl teams four teams five bowl team starting out. It's a it's a tough schedule all things considered. I'm almost comparing it to win an NBA team. You know, the the cap goes up and they sign. Evan Turner, Timothy MAs gov or something like well. There's more money to play around with the big ten. Let's let's throw some to keep our coach. And if he continues to be a five hundred coach that you pay five six million dollars. That's a lot to saddle that could set a program back. This is me looking at the glass half empty of it because I really do like Jeff bride, and you're really doing is you're really squinting to fund. That's it's still it's still a lot of money. It is still. Money. It's money paid to coaches who have succeeded on much bigger levels than just up big upset. Once is it is a lot. I this is also team bullies don't care that much. But they got mama. By auburn. Yeah. I I don't know. I'll believe the less patients part of this question. When I see it shirt because I think Perdue is smart enough to know that they've got a really good coach, and Jeff Brom who I think they expect that they're gonna lose Louisville at least they weren't negotiating against nobody. At least they're not one of those schools. He says remembering Marquel fridges extension. Sure that they were not extending him because of a threat that didn't exist. There was a very clear threat. And so I understand it. But it's the dice roll. I still think it's a dice roll. Yeah. I think they will have him for as long as he's willing to stay. I think he's got the program going in a good direction. I think it will continue to go in a good direction. Regardless of what the schedule says here, they'll still find a way to get to a bowl game because he's that kind of coach and five six million dollars expects more. Money for people. Okay. Now, let's move on. Let's go to number eleven. The big twelve adding what you have listed here, Dan as under the radar ofensive minds. Parentheses you've got Matt wells. You've got Neil Brown met wells, of course, going to Texas Tech from Utah state Brown going to West Virginia. Get from Troy. I look at this a little bit differently than I I think you do. Okay. So for sure under the radar as an offensive mind going to the big twelve is is notable. Yeah. I I think the under the radar stories actually their defenses. Okay. Because Troy's been really good as defensive entity for while under Neil Brown. Mom, and you know, Matt wells started out very strongly the first two years of his tenure Utah state. And then took a few gap years not gonna lie till last. Yeah. Last year, they saw a bit of a resurgence on the defensive side of the ball. And it's something we talk about from time to time here on the show a little bit of defense in the big twelve how that could change the landscape is an interesting topic for me now, I'm not saying they're going to go out there and be shut down. But TC. A you had a decided advantage when they were able to play shutdown defense or just any defense in that conference. So really longer term if it works out for Matt wells works out for Neo Brown, if they're able to build more of a defensive presence, certainly at a place like Texas Tech that to me is very very interesting could have long term ramifications. The I'm looking at Utah state's defense last year. And I don't think they gave up thirty points between the air force game. And then the the Boise state game to finish out the the mountain you gotta have offense. If you're gonna compete in the big twelve no diet make did. But to have a defense. AD fence really goes a long way in their conference. Yeah, I'm not as concerned about specifically the offense just whether or not Texas Tech with Matt wells is in a better place than West Virginia with with Neil Brown. Okay. And what he was able to do at Troy both winning within the sun belt and getting his team ready to end succeed against big high level power five opponents, we saw it against Nebraska. We saw it against LSU. There's something about getting the most out of his players, and certainly it's a different beast at West Virginia. But what Neil Brown has been able to prove at Troy and taking that to a place in West Virginia is in a better place in terms of brand in terms of program strength in Texas Tech is at the moment. So I think I like that marriage a little bit better. Oh, yeah. No. I mean, I guess the knock on west Virginia's current situation is that being in the big twelve they're kind of cut off from. The heartbeat of that conference shorter separated. Geographically from really the the the bedrock of homes. Nah, not super close to place. But I mean, it's closer than West Virginia. I guess to your point though, West Virginia isn't a better place. Just in terms of brand. I think it's easier to recruit to Morgantown than it is to Lubbock. Yeah. I think it's more difficult to recruit to the big twelve. Oh in Morgantown Dana Holger did a good job recruiting Florida doing a good job with transfers. And it's just it's a different kind of monster. And if you're gonna look at Texas Tech is having another advantage over West Virginia. It's the presence of a hopefully healthy. Alan Bowman British comedy legend. Now Bowman sure as a foundational piece, whereas West Virginia is again in quarterback transition Neil. Okay. Well, we shall see. Let's move on to number ten. Daniel we we do ride we ride with Dana holder Sohn here. Oh could transition. Yeah. Houston has ponied up the cash. That's a long Gallup. I've got going on kill. I like it. No, keep it rolling is Dana Hoeger Sohn, Dan, a big enough. Name a big enough college football presence that if the schedule Houston has in front of it ends up working out the way, I think at least at this point in eventually doesn't even have to be this year. But eventually, but they've got a nice schedule this year. They've got Oklahoma right out of the chute. They've got a non conference game against was zoo. They go on the road at UCF there some ammo on that for let's say hypothetically, and I don't expect this to happen. But hypothetically, Dan Hoeger sa- runs table. Does. He have enough clout as a college football mind to college football coach to get Houston in some conversation. I think more so than usual Scott frost had become a big enough name at UCF. But that was over the course of two years, essentially, whereas Dana Grayson is built up his name and reputation for a while now even going back to Oklahoma state as a coordinator in what he's been able to accomplish a West Virginia. He has he won then BCS game with West Virginia. Whereas with even looking at bigger names of schools on the G five level, Charlie strong decent enough name. It's not as good as a horse and right now, Brian Hartson decent. But if you're juggling similar schedules. If you're comparing things on the margin saying, yes, but Houston has you know this Heisman ish quarterback? And they have Dana hall Grison running things, I think it carries more cachet than a G five has lately if ever okay, maybe going back to Chris Peterson Boise state because he had built his. Name up to that point. But outside of that and Houston probably having a talent level that is going to be higher than pretty much everybody perhaps outside of UCF. I do like where Houston is at in terms of vacant vault themselves into a conversation in a more meaningful way than most. All right. Let's move on Dan that was our most Sirius XM questioned by very serious can Houston. Now. Go with Dana Holger Sohn to the playoff is his name big enough. Give us a call breaking into the top ten. Yeah. Okay. The ACC is sneaky fund conference. I think. Yeah. Especially when you get to what you've described here lovingly as a medium profile. I mean, well, medium profile ACC schools and as C C hires. Here you're referring specifically to Jeff Collins and Scott Satterfield, both of whom are taking over in the ACC. We've got Collins at Georgia Tech Satterfield, of course, taking that Louisville job who do you trust more all who do you trust more to do a full on rebuild revamp the program in the I don't want to say short. I don't want wanna say, well, let's see medium-term if we're saying medium profile, we're saying medium-term writing a medium. Yeah. And I don't think long-term quite exists anymore in the sport. So medium-term is two to three years. I think it's Jeff Collins. I think with the talent available even though. Yes. Georgia Tech has admission standards, which are not normal and not you. Usual. It's a tough school to get into as compared to some of the schools, they're competing with for recruits. But the fact is they're not Lanta a desirable place. They're in a state that produces a ton of talent in Georgia. And I think there are some administrative issues at Louisville that Scott Satterfield has to deal with that. Perhaps Jeff Collins doesn't I don't know that for sure I know that money is tight with with Georgia Tech at their obstacles. That are difference. I believe Louisville did just lose their biggest donor in father, John. Yes. Yeah. So there is that. I am a little bit more impressed at this point. With what Jeff Collins has done in raising the profile of Georgia Tech during a bunch of waffle house things. Yeah. I just I like it. I like that even in a state where there's such a clear alpha in UGA that Jeff Collins has has done a pretty nice and interesting job early. I like Jeff Collins a lot. Yeah. And I think I know from the people who have written in who listen to this program. Religiously the Georgia Tech fans who are just waiting for something desperately met him in Atlanta. They are desperate to have things going a different direction. I think my answer is going to be Jeff Collins because I want to give those people hope, Dan, it's a bit disingenuous to say that Georgia Tech needs revamping, I think they just need. I don't know. Because Paul Johnson today all things considered pretty good job with tech. It was it's Louisville that really needs to be sort of gutted and down to the studs with where they were at last year. So I don't think that's necessary with Georgia Tech. They're shifting things around offense still think they're going to succeed enough. But I thought a refresh was necessary. Just in terms of the perception of Georgia Tech moving on. Let's go to number eight. Let's talk. Let's talk forgo. Yeah. Sound in the background? Yeah. North Dakota state lost its head football coach because he is going to K state, which I think's pretty big higher, Dan. And then also in the great state of Kansas. We've got less miles coming out of retirement apparently had enough of the Dr Pepper commercials. He's a vegan. Now, he's vegan. He still crazy and fun. And of course, we're gonna talk about him all season long. But he is now taking over at Kansas which of those two situations. Do you like more? My conventional wisdom. My Dan venture list is that Kansas state has made a more foundational higher. He's going to come in coming from somewhere that his one understanding the way to coach players coach staff go about winning business in a way that les miles has not done in a while and the less miles higher. Does not feel like when you envision what Kansas needs it is almost like a Chris climate type. Yeah. And they went with a less miles. Type what Kansas need is needs is. And this. I am open to being surprised and shocked what Kansas needs someone to come in and say year one this is how a recruiting this is how we're hiring. This is how we are hiring support staff. These are the types of plays. We're gonna run on both sides of the ball. This is the specific density. I want this program to be whereas I can't hell. But look at less miles and think guy wants to coach again, and he's going to just try to do what he did LSU at Kansas in it feels like a disaster waiting to happen. We're seeing all of these carefully constructed stories of it's a new less miles met less miles has really gone through a transformation. And I think at this point it's hard to teach that old dog new tricks. That's how I'm looking at the situation. Does he need to learn new tricks because I look at the less miles higher. Not from the standpoint of he's gonna turn them into any kind of superpower over. No. But he is sort of an instant shot of credibility and that program desperately needs something they gotta rebuild their image. I because this is a program that's been down and out for longtime. I think an obvious place to start. If you're Kansas is to try and inject some excitement back into your program. And then hopefully use that as a catalyst to build moving forward. Less mild probably isn't going to be. There in five years. But if he's able to try and get a program moving good direction hand off the somebody look how much worse can get Dan. I don't think it's a bad move at all that being said alike, Chris climbing, higher awful lot case date is that an actual winning formula though. Are there teams that have actively like had three year interim coaches that have worked and like have painted the fortunes around of a program in had onto a new guy on a higher profile level? Isn't that what North Carolina talk about this not to give too much organs about North Carolina moments, North Carolina, and isn't isn't that sort of the same model because they're did clean coached her? But he's still old dog coming into a situation where some expect him to to need to learn new tricks. I'm with you. I think Mak around specifically North Carolina's different because I don't think he was looking for any job to come back four and North Carolina. Was a specific job that he said to himself. I'm not gonna coach again. But if this comes open, I'm going to jump on it that I think is that specific with him. Whereas I think less miles. We heard about him interviewing Huston we've heard about his interest in a number of jobs and taking the Kansas job. Feels like a I just need to get back in the game kind of thing rather than I am going to do what it takes and thinking about it in terms of get in a good place and move on. I just can't think of a program right now on a power five level where that's actually been a formula that has worked. Yeah. I don't know put in the time like somebody like Dan Mullen did at Mississippi State taking what felt like an also ran program and building up foundation hiring super well consistently. Investing a ton of time into the program to get it into a much better place. And believe me, it's not just you saying this seems to be the conventional wisdom that less might. Can turn things around for the next guy. Yeah. I just I don't see it. I don't I don't know if I see the turnaround story. But I think if you're Kansas you're probably tired of being the bottom dweller both in terms of win loss. And in terms of the way, you're perceived by recruits by other football programs and less miles was there. He clearly was willing to take the job. And he does bring with him some degree of credibility that has not been there and a head football coach in quite some time. So it's been so bad. I wonder how much worse it can get like how much worse could he seriously do then the guy before him or the guy before him? I agree. I just for how high profile it is. And I don't know the exact number that they're paying him. I don't think that matters all that much. But in terms of what is out there rely as it relates to younger coaches. Interesting minds. Up in commerce. Great recruiters that are not in their sixties. I I hesitate to to look at this as a big win because of what it will take specifically at Kansas a place where they considered should we shut down the program. Should we just cut our losses? That's where we were within this last year is this much. I don't see it with less miles. I'll tell you this much. He learned how to wear foundation in those Dr Pepper he had a lot of makeup on that face now, it'd be much that and he's now vegan. So there's that moving on. I don't know what the sound is just found it. Runoff. I love we used to like listen to the hits of the country. And for me a lot of the times for the first time and figure out how he felt about them. So this has nothing to do with number seven. Find a way to twisted in. Well, sure, we could of course professionals here in the podcast, but number seven, what's your number seven thing? So number seven Georgia loses both of their coordinators, that'd be Jim Chaney going over going back to Tennessee. And Mel Tucker understandably so taking the head coaching job at Colorado. And so for a team that has done a magnificent job both on and off field recruiting winning dominating the SEC east mostly Mike question now becomes will Kirby smart in moving on from sort of season lieutenants that he had will he empower the promoted guys because he promoted from within James Cawley. Now takes over the offense. He was a co see last year, but it really did. I'm like Jim Chaney's offense and then has a co defensive coordinator situation after Mel Tucker moved on will empower them. Like, he empowered Mel Tucker, and Jim Chaney to just do their thing and do it. Well, or if it go down if they go down fourteen to three to South Carolina, disturbed panic and say run, the George playbook don't run the James Coley. Play kind of thing. Yeah. While end it'll be interesting to from the standpoint of coaching turnover and just what we see going on on the other side of the conference with Alabama. Is that's been a story last couple years reality. Yeah. Of course, there's always turnover now under Nick Sabin. It's going to be the same deal again in twenty nineteen for him where he has to retool his staff find a way to get everyone rowing in the same direction and still organiz team Kirby could find himself in that situation before one because recruiting has been incredible in his time at Georgia. It has been incredible. And we're not talking. Like USC level town. We're talking near Bama level talent near Clemson level talent what he's pulling in. So that recruited Clemson for sure that that in and of itself gives you a bit of a safety net, regardless of who your coaches are. So you would hope that he would continue to let the guys underneath him. Call the shots. Find a way to put them in a good situation to let them flourish and show some personally in the game plan. But this honestly is one of the questions that I don't think we have definitive answer to we just don't know. He hasn't been a head coach long enough to really really give tell here. No, those are two very savvy hires bringing Mel Tucker over from Alabama. I think he was the defensive backs coach. Yeah. Sure. Essentially code offensive backs coach with Nick Sabin, and Jim Chaney who've long considered to be that offensive consults that it was a savvy higher in that Kirby smart didn't have to think about those things all that much. He had a ton of trust in those coordinators by all violets and so. As as it looks right now, I believe James Kelly ran the offense is at Miami for a couple years where they they had the skill players ahead. Decent of quarterback play the lines were not great. But these were algal teams, and it's hard to fully look at what he did as a complete picture of what he's able to do especially with the type of talent he has at Georgia. I'm a little bit worried. I think it's possible that they lose a game that they would not have lost. They still ten and two for sure. I am worried about this transition ER just because the strength of that staff. Was it seemed Kirby smarts trust of coordinators interesting. Okay. Yep. Intersecting number six and. Let's go back to the future could Bill. Booted sorta gave away the game here. Yeah. And talked about this one ahead of schedule. But Mack Brown is returning to North Carolina Mack Brown. I believe made that announcement right after we hit stop couple months ago, which is always fun from podcasting perspective. Gotta love on demand. Audio. All right talked about this a little bit. And how this model ends up working for teams who have tried to use it in the past. But let's talk specific to North Carolina for second. It's interesting Mack. Brown's a and affable figure in college football lovable figure what does UNC going in the Mack Brown direction signal to you signal to us as college football fans about what North Carolina's goals are going to be in the short term. I look at this. And I say to myself at this is just begging for some kind of coach in waiting scenario. Two three years down the road. I don't know who that guy is. But the good news for North Carolina. Is they play the coastal? There's no giant hurdle. This is a division pit one last year while not being all that good. So you've got you've got Georgia Tech. You've got Virginia Miami with a new coach Georgia Tech with new coach Virginia Tech with a not super exciting offseason with some of their losses. I just saw that what Josh Jackson went to Maryland usually eligible and a Duke team starting over at quarterback and back to Carolina. So the goals can be pretty high and not be all that difficult to attain when the coastal that's great goal. You can win the coastal going for at least over the next couple years potentially. I don't think North Carolina's goals are anything beyond consistent goal team. Mm-hmm. Bolting excuse me. That's fine. I think that's what that signals. I I don't know what North Carolina's actual program ceiling as with having Clemson in the other side of the conference. But with Mack Brown and saying we want to be pretty good. And I it's hard to imagine Mack Brown being anything beyond pretty good. If that makes sense, I agree with that. I think they're happy to go to the bell couple. Yeah. I'm okay with that. Yeah. I go to the Belleville. Don't even remember, it seems like they show. I got you. Let's move on. Let's go to number five the coaching. Curl. So look I ready played that war. I ready played the transfer portal sound which is what I probably should have held out for number five. This isn't a coaching care. So but it is a quarterback carousel. We saw a number of high profile transfers in the world of college football chief among them. Of course, Justin feels going to Ohio State. We already mentioned Jalen hurts going to Oklahoma. We tape Martell Nep going down to Miami. Even at Brandon wimbush going UCF, sir. Bunch of names there at the whole list of quarterbacks in the transfer portal, by the way, there's a number of them. Right. I mean, you could really Ryan to Mizzou read till you're blue in the face Kelly Bryant who else Ben Hicks to Arkansas from somew- devan, mud, sir. Devon monster. UCLA Cal gone perhaps cow gets these enough quarterback. Shaun Robinson also to Mizzou Jack Tuttle a highly touted. Oh, yeah. You gotta high school Utah. Hanna. Yeah. Alex Delton goes to TCU because they have some some depth issues a quarterback Austin KENDALL. We remember the very quick controversy over Lincoln Riley, preventing him from transferring within the conference Oklahoma, West Virginia cameras, and we mentioned earlier in the show Texas to Utah. Then shell also Texas SMU a lot going on on our our our our, of course, let's focus in on Justin fields. Jalen hurts and to take more time oursel-. Yeah. Let's say those three guys who best fits into their new offensive scheme. I would even maybe I'd Kelly Bryant high profile enough. Yeah. Atma SU if you're ranking from one through four how would you rank those four names again, Justin fields of how state Jalen hurts? Oklahoma Tate Martell Miami Kelly, Bryant Mizzou Justin fields, like the Justin fields feels like the smoothest transition and as a high state moved away from constant power game with J T Barrett moving towards more downfield with twain Haskins they opened things up. They spread to pass more than they spread to run. I think that should benefit just and fields. Jalen hurts TVD. But certainly looks to be more wide open at Oklahoma than what he was used to at Alabama. At least what Alabama had him do with the tide. Tate Martell TD. But he gets Dan, you know, standing is somebody who ran a nice, I don't know how to describe Alabama's offense last year. It was sort of a downfield power RPO that that sounds anything. Sure. And then Kelly Bryant feels very different to Mizzou at times. Mizzou offense was quite fun. Especially look at the game against Florida. So I'm gonna say fields is in the best place taymor. Tell I would say maybe slightly ahead. Although this Miami offense was pretty rough at times I'm gonna feel it's hurts Martell Bryant. I'm gonna go fields. I agree with you that he feels like very natural different from what he was asked to a Georgia for different different for sure. But maybe a better fit for him. Just in terms of his skill set. I think he's number one. But it's tough to say because we haven't seen enough. So a little bit of them. But we haven't seen enough of him in a big game truly say that definitively. But I feel like we know enough about Jalen hurts and Kelly Bryant to know that they're not number one. I would put and this is just me BA. Because I'm forever. A fan of the backup quarterback being a Notre Dame fan. Just what I do. I'm gonna say fields one Tate Martell two at Miami foul by Jalen hurts three at Oklahoma and Kelly Bryant four at at Mizzou. I'm very curious to see what Danny knows able to do with Tate Martell another dual threat kid, not as big as Justin fields. But that situation at Miami. We're gonna talk about it here again offense at times last much away. Yeah. Rough offense at times last year. But then he no says a guy who some thought could take over for Nick Saban at Alabama. He's a creative offense of mine. Yeah. Very good year to get him to come over to Miami. Now be the offense of coordinators a huge coup for many D as well. He was just last year that he was just the quarterbacks coach and maybe associate head coach as right Loxley running be offense. That's right. And I guess Gaddis. He was not an offense coordinator, not an author. No. You can credit him with the development of two in a number of ways. And hopefully that carries over to take Martell if you're Miami fan, but yeah, he was in line with the offense coordinator until he allegedly left under the cover of night. He Baltimore Colts. All right. That's my ranking. I think a lot about Jalen hurts. I think he'll be successful. Not sure what that offense is going to look like have a lot of faith that Lincoln Riley can put a system around him. That will meet his skill set. Right. But I feel like we know a lot about Jalen hurts and Kelly Bryant, I think there's a ceiling there. And I don't know what like you said he is different to Missouri. Just not sure what that's going to look like, so, yeah, let's go with the art of the possible and two guys who haven't seen a whole lot of game action. Just feels and take Martell one two now. Doesn't make sense makes no sense. It was just in front of me. We talked about Miami and Tate Martell. Of course, they can. A prominent blue chip recruit to come over from Ohio State. We talk about Danny knows coming over from Alabama. Haven't talked enough about Manny Diaz coming over from temple slash from hand. Mark richt retired again right after we hit the stop button. One Sunday mazing how that works in the off Sam you Mark Rick no longer at Miami. Kind of took a lot of folks by surprise Miami. Moved very quickly to real back. Manny Diaz who had earlier in the off season taken the job of temple. But Mandy as clearly finds a home in Miami from Miami sort of bring him back into the fold was was sort of a big deal for them. Why is he different? I guess is the question because now, you know, Mark richt was an alum of the U and clear you had. Yeah. Lot of proven experience in the SEC east was very successful coach at Georgia before. Four he overstayed his welcome bit. I guess on a hostile scribe it, but he was supposed to be the guy who's going to rebuild the canes into what they were previously. Now. Manny Diaz local guy, younger guy mind you, but a local guy someone who knows the culture he is stepping back into that role. Now as the head football coach at Miami. Why is he going to be different in your station? I don't know. I honestly don't know. That's the question, and the concerning part of this is Miami's a tough place to win on a high level, and that's partially because of Clemson it's partially just because you're recruiting it's Florida state and Florida this is even though you have talent in your backyard your recruiting against giants Alabama has done a phenomenal job in south Florida recently. And so they have started. I think the twenty twenty class quite well. And I do like the hires Eddie may hired. I believe Louisiana text defensive coordinator to come in and release co run the defense for the canes. I like what he's done early. But I've made the comparison before that I think there's a lot of crossover with Miami and USC. Yeah. Where that insular culture of hiring, Miami guys. You know, having Randy, Shannon. Having Mark richt where there is something. Comforting in a bad way about going in that direction. I I everything appears to me that many should succeed should recruit. Well, they should be able to bring in decent enough quarterback. Even though it's pretty tough to to develop quarterbacks in Miami in Florida just because defenses are so good on the high school level. But I think talent wise Miami will be at a place that they haven't been a longtime undermanned D as in a big reason for that is he is on the come up. This is the job he has dreamt about this is the job. He will pour every single fiber of his being into. Whereas Mark richt. If all things were going his way he'd have been Athens, then wasn't up to him. And so he he had a nice landing spot in south, Florida. But I think there is something about Manny Diaz rethinking how Miami is run being an extremely positive thing. I also think being from Miami. You know, we're not. Two two big on getting the hometown guy or the alum to come back Bryce school. But we've done this show enough and talked to a number of personalities just on the recruiting side who really consistently indicate that the culture of the Florida high school football player of south Florida in particular, just a little bit different. Gotta be plugged into that sometimes to be successful. Manny Diaz certainly is in a way that I don't think Mark richt ever could have been. So I'm curious to see if he is able to somehow reinstitute that swagger at Miami. I feel sort of intangible, and hopefully, it's a good way tie. We have breaking news. If you wanna play that sound if you have that sound on your board. What is it with the first pick in the twenty nineteen fantasy things draft? Denver was seen has selected many D as father was the mayor of my. I just wanted to get in on that pick in late February. I'm going to our list. Please add it an attitude. I running list jot down. Okay. Moving on. The only Alabama themed sound that. I have here is we crack into the top three again sort of hinted at this one before, but Alabama assistance again leaving in mass. This is becoming more of a feature than the bug. Yeah. So where do we stand on how this affects Nick Sabin, Dan? Where we stand is this. We know I think it's it's been answered. Yeah. I mean is this should this be talking point now in twenty nineteen it clearly worked out. Okay. Yeah. Asked year Nick Sabin clearly proven that he knows how to manage a situation with a lot of coaching turnover. Mom, is there any reason for concern here at all? No, I don't I don't think there's any reason because over and over year over year. I mean, how many former Sabin assistance are head coaches right now or coordinator somewhere on both sides of the ball. He brought in a number of well known enough. Coaches. I didn't call flood is running the offense of line Sark as the offensive coordinator Pete Golding who was there last year. I think it's going to run the defense, I suppose along with Nick Sabin Charles Kelley who ran the defense at Florida state south on Sarah, who's a former linebackers coach for Nick Sabin way back when there's a number of familiar names. So this specific class of coaches, I'm not terribly worried about I'm more concerned about is there a way to to picture to envision Alabama downfall that is not related to then except just got bored. The fire turned out. Okay. I don't talk. If it's not coaching attrition. I don't know what it is. You're talking about some sort of rising threat in the SEC. I imagined I imagine it's I mean, we'd know the clear threat right now is Georgia, but they're not in the same division. They don't have to play them, you know, after a tough game or sandwich between tough games and October something like that. It's not that weakened weak out challenge that the SEC west has. Has been certain years not every year. So my question to you right now is what will what would what will or would contribute to Alabama's demise quicker? And that is having that almost on equal footing power like Auburn has been occasionally or LSU has been occasionally or having that depth of division in having the Mississippi the Mississippi schools, look very good having JIMBO do really good things at AM having Arkansas become sneaky feisty with Chad Morris. Do you think it's depth of pretty good or having that to-to-to soup? I think it's division. I think it's depth to be honest because we'll when you've got the depth. You've got a constant threat of being knocked off on any given Saturday Noakes off, right? Yeah. And I think that probably puts more of a strain on the dynasty than anything else. Just having weakened weak out difficult competition. Now, you could make the case. That it's still pretty damn tough to play in the SEC germs in the SEC west, even if they're not logging many wins some of their other competition around college football, still pretty damn good. But my answer I think is always depth on that front. Yeah. That's what we what we've seen with Alabama struggling with Mississippi State a couple years ago losing to ole miss losing tech Sam they didn't lose to excellent teams. They lost two very good teams. But not teams to-to-to, talent wise. Coaching wise consistent results wise now. That's right. Okay. Moving on last two number two Nobel moral. You'll barely be able to breathe. Okay. So that is our sound clip that we played for Beck Meyer syndrome. Yes. We mean that no derogatory health way. Maybe I should have played a different sound ads. Fine. We stand by urban Meyer's retired wish him. Well, that means that Ryan day has been promoted so Beck Meyer syndrome is is gone. Yeah. The case the question is radical a racket. Thank you. The question is this you've got here in red lettering. How much closer does this bring the likes Michigan Penn State, Wisconsin, Michigan state to state? I would just ask a larger questions when I hinted at a couple of weeks ago, but how much farther has produced themselves. I think the natural next question. But I mean urban Meyer's a legend urban Meyer is one of the greatest coaches in the history of college football the Ryan day stepping into a situation. He's got a obviously a lot of talent. He's got a great situation at Ohio State. And I think he proved his metal in the early part of the season last year when Romero suspended he did job. But it feels very rare to me that you have a legend retire, and then the program that is handed over presumably to younger coach. With less experience. All that. It's rare to me that the program is going to continue without skipping a beat like what we've seen at Oklahoma with Lincoln Riley, taking over for Bob stoops has actually pretty rare. Right. So I guess my question is whether or not in your estimated Ryan day's going to be able to continue on this trajectory for a period of let's say longer than three years in Columbus. I mean that's impossible because of what he's replacing. He's got to fall. And that's and that's sort of my point. You know, that's where you get into the danger zone a little bit because expectations at Ohio State have been so high for so long Ohio state's been credible. Under over Mayer has record in front of me, but you can count on one hand to hands number of losses. He's had. So for Ryan day to take over. Now. I think on some level expectations have to be lowered. They need to at least give him a chance to find his way in Columbus. And please don't hold him to the. Same standard as urban Meyer. Yes. I think that's right. The good news for you know, whether or not the gap has been closed between Ohio State and the other recent big ten powers is there's continuity on the coaching staff. Larry Johnson hangs around. I know they promoted Brian heartline. He came in during all the wide receiver coach bringing the two coaches from Michigan, Greg Madison who was succeeded pretty much everywhere recently and Kevin Wilson, I believe has stayed on the offense coordinator, but they bring in Oklahoma state coordinator as sort of a coordinator, Mike, you're sick. Who who did some good things and Stillwater? So I like what he's done in terms of continuity rounding out the staff in his own sort of vision. But to to look at the consistency of everything urban Meyer did both on the field and on the recruiting trail it feels impossible. However, the good news is Wisconsin just took a step back for sure Michigan state. Looks like a mess on offense and just year after year. Now, they're wasting an excellent defense Michigan is trying to get a gin to figure out offense and Penn State for as well as they've recruited have not fully delivered in closing out close games. And so there is not that clear ascending team to replace Ohio State. So that's why still think he could continue things in the short and medium-term. But to do it like a maniac cyborg is it's asking a lot. Yeah. It is. Okay. And finally. We come back to old trustee and talk about USC. They're coaching. Clay helton? Clay Helton was retained he's going to be head football coach at twenty nineteen. He will be on the hot seat. I don't think there's any question about that. But he made a splash because when Texas Tech decided to part ways with cliff Kingsbury, obviously that was a name that was very sought after in many circles both college football. And otherwise, we came to know as he took the Zona cardinals job right quip Kingsbury signed on with USC. And then eventually signed out rather quickly. That's not because of US's because better situation came about, but suffice to say a bit of a bit of a dramatic situation there and now Klay Hiltons in a spot where he has to try and find a way to piece this back together. Now, I didn't do poorly in getting a replacement for cliff Kingsbury, I think he's going to be just fine there. But the larger point is that USC is still a very tenuous spot. Now as we enter this new season. Are we going? Going into the year, assuming that Klay helton's a lame-duck is that fair is that realistic where you come down on that he would have to not only win the south and win the conference, but do so in such an emphatic way this offense undergrad Herrell would have to be. So incredible defense would have to be outstanding taking I mean, the defense was actually very good last year, but would have to they would have to be playoff contender for most of the year that it would be unfathomable to get rid of clay Hilton after the air, and that seems far-fetched. Yeah. That seems like everything would have to click in such an unimaginable way, and they've recruited well enough this past seasons recruiting class was clearly underwhelming. But before that defensively, there's a lot of talent up front. Secondary has been good. There's been continuity on defense. I just you're talking about. Ten and a half being the number that he has to hit I guess in order to to see another year because there were there were references and reports that his buyout was astronaut Michael in that was a big reason why they just didn't want to eat double digit millions of dollars on a guy who had just won the Pac twelve for sure. But understandable frustration with how they looked last year. We'll see I think he's a lame duck. Do you think that it's a situation that there is no number that he could hit short going undefeated? If he wins ten games. It's it's tough out to get rid of them. They lose close and respectably. Yeah. I mean, if he were to go, I mean, what's the number? What's the number that he has to get to your ISE and ten and half zero runner? Yeah. He he has to go probably over ten and a half. I say nine and a half. I'm looking at their schedule right now, I say nine and a half. If he goes ten and two he keeps it but nine in three puts him on the brink eight four it's over their schedule. Because last year it was a rough start their schedule. I think they were at Stanford and at Texas and consecutive weeks and that Stanford at home their schedule until early October late September there at Washington at Notre Dame with a buy week between them but on the back half. It's pretty good there. This US's road games are as follows BYU. Fine. Not easy. Good young quarterback. But fine at Washington, very tough at Notre Dame, very tough. And in the back half is at Colorado at ASU at Cal UCLA in LA organ at home. Who knows what organ looks like by November. It's not a terrible schedule so nine three nine threes via week between. Yeah. If go nine and three and look pretty good. I think he's gone nine threes. Dangerous own. Yeah. I I am going into the season under the assumption that there is more gravity pulling Klay Hilton out of that job than keeping him in it. What if they go nine three beating Washington Notre Dame and Oregon, and they lose on a hail Mary. They lose two games because of quarterback injury. But fully healthy. They're they're clearly good winning Seattle and in south bend and beating ducks if they go eight four losing to all the good teams. But still somehow win the Pac twelve oh God. He's he's gone. One ship because winning the pact. What is winning the Pac twelve and twenty nineteen? I know I it doesn't feel like much if you're winning it at eight and four presumably nine and four that means that the Pac twelve is probably not all that good. I know I means you lost to a not good Washington team. But maybe beat them in the championship game. You lose to Notre Dame. Which seems like it'll be a respectable loss. You lose to Oregon who then turns out to either not be good enough to play in the championship game. Or just not be that good. And if they go nine and four when the Pac twelve it's an indictment against the Pac twelve four. Sure. All right. Well, right in what we think we're wrong where we're right where you agree where we should've asked questions, and we're Dan's list is wrong. Can I can I posit one more bonus question? Moore was only a good one. We receive are queuing a couple of weeks ago that we didn't have time to get to. Yes. Plant now feels more appropriate than ever. Okay. Because I need to think about the types of films and in order, I will be showing my son when he's of age. Okay. So short and saucy. Let's assume from read it, I don't know wants to know favorite, Disney and Pixar movie. Okay. Well, can't you group? Both Disney Pixar, obviously, let's go non Pixar Disney and Pixar we taught we talked about this on a walk back from the train that we took to Wrigley field. When we Chicago didn't we let's true. Yep. See you wanna go animated verses computer animated. I think it comes down to one a and one b being Aladdin lion. King for the animated variety. Probably. Although there people that are super into emperor's new groove now. Come I did not know until recently. I am telling you get out of here. I am telling you that's a reality. There are people that are into little mermaid their people into beauty in the based you're talking about your older nineties eighties classics. But there have been some big movies. The answer is I think one Lion King of very very close second. And sometimes I changed my mind is Aladdin. And then everyone else those of the top two no Bambi, no Peter Pan for you not enough for me. Duck tales, the movie, no not a goofy movie, polka Hanis Pocahontas was good James giant, peach. No. Okay. I think my answers Aladdin though, seeing Will Smith is the genie in that commercial down in gave me a gave me some hesitation gotten escape. Pod. If you want it. I know I'm going to stay with the Latin right now. Okay. And that's number one acceptable animated Disney movie now where it becomes difficulties Pixar for sure Pixar gets very very difficult because there elements of all those movies that I find very appealing their movies. Like Wally that are criminally. Underrated now great movie, they're also movies like up that I don't think are on the same level. But let's be honest. The fathers motion manipulation the first ten minutes of up just gutted me as a human, of course. But I think that's actual manipulation. Good at me as a human being. Yeah. So I can't put it in the same category. As you see bow the short movie the short film, but they were our I don't know the incredible one of them. No be a oh bowel about like a Chinese pork. Bun tough watch in like a very emotional. Good way. All right. So let's go through Pixar movie. Right. So it sounds to me like Wally is has your heart. Will Wally was very good. The Elliott was underrated. So it's it's probably in the conversation frozen. I don't believe was technically Pixar. No. I don't think frozen Pixar frozen was officially Disney. Also, not that good. I was big frozen family to all my God tie say that Alantic Odense. Let it go. God. All right. So toys story Toy Story was the original classic absolutely holds up. Really, really? Well, I think Toy Story still is top spot for me. But also posit that wall Eason discussion finding nemo was outstanding forget about that one good movie. And you recently saw CoCo. Oh, I've recently seen cocoa like seventeen times Tyler know, as you know, we had a rather dramatic emotional experience in our family, of course of the last year. So I haven't really had a chance to to dive into cocoa. But you might need to do that one solo you told me that that could potentially be very motion huge trigger. So where do you come down this? Then to me, it's probably cocoa and Wally. Okay, and cocoa Ali toy store. I think you're right. What about the incredible 's behind Ables, the I was really really good. The second one was minus. Okay. Not that. Great. Didn't really do it for me. I'm going to say because of my affinity for Mexico, Mexican culture, the music and just technologically. How far they've come. This was twenty seventeen in the original Toy Story was what mid-nineties? Yeah. Yeah. It's certainly more of a spectacle, eighteen ninety five. Okay. Yeah. I'm I'm going to say cocoa and my don't sleep on it. It's Toy Story three. Yeah. To bed. Really good. I'm amazed. They're doing a fourth the fourth actually pretty good. It looks really good. But there was a good amount of closure in three. Yeah. Right. Well, we'll see right in again, whether any Pixar movies you didn't like. I didn't see cars or Ratu to we. There's not much to cars. It's fine wasn't into a bug's life love rat too. I thought Ratu it was great insight out was okay inside out. I thought was really enjoyed that in C brave and her Braves, very good. Didn't see brave not into finding Dory. Didn't see finding Dory. Not into that inside out. Really good. Coco is excellence if I'm gonna I'm gonna say this as straightforward as I possibly can if you haven't seen cocoa. Go sococo find a way. Because do so do so not in a room where you would be barris to shed tears because if you are fully focused on the movie, and you let it absorb you. You are going to you're going to succumb, and it's got a good. I think I'm strong cocoa and tentative Aladdin darkhorse for animated might be jungle book. Okay. Not bad. Not bad. Blue the bear. What? Yeah. Not bad necessities. Yeah. All right, right. Oh gli. Let us know. Solvable, Gino com. You can also find his Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, all usual hot-spots, please deletes review.
