Like a Nail: A Bedtime Story for Kids
"Once upon a time a group of wandering families was looking for a place to live they had all been scattered from their homes by terrible war and they had banded together to find someplace new. There were nearly one hundred of them. All traveling in a loose caravan. They had been camping and living on the road for weeks but they're look was about to change deep in the forest. They found a little village that was falling apart. It had been built years and years ago and then abandoned. And it was showing its neglect. The roofs were sagging in the walls. Were sagging out and the doors. All hung crooked in their openings. Like loose baby teeth. It is perfect. Said nanna the oldest of the group and one of the most respected murzyn rough shape said a father with a kid riding on his shoulders. But it's better than living on the road. Do you think we can fix up all these houses. The adults all gathered around and they looked through the abandoned village. It was in rough shape but the group had brought their hammers and nails and they were confident that they could fix any problems. They came across. So we're in agreement. Someone asked and everyone looked to nanna. We're home nanna said and everyone cheered the family's all split up and claimed the houses that were in the best shape. They all needed work but they were grateful to have roofs over their heads. Even if those rules were sagging a little low to settle into the village they formed a few groups there were hunters and farmers to get food gatherers who collected firewood and building supplies and teachers to care for the kids in the group and last of all. The town made a special group of repair people. They gave them all the tools they had brought with them from their old village. Unfortunately all the tools they had been able to bring were hammers and nails but that would have to be enough in the new village whenever someone needed help fixing up their house. They'd call the repair crew. This worked out well for a time. The people settled in routines were established and the repair crew used their hammers and nails to shore up walls and roofs and crooked doors

Just tell them to swinging around back rights okay. There were set up here in the lab. I'm gonna do my whole thing. I high i max. I'm an engineer and inventor and thing here is the bagel trying to thousand which i'm not gonna turn on just yet the bagel trying two thousand opens up portals to other dimensions have been traveling through these portals for over three years visited a hundred and fifty plus different dimensions. I want to say at this point. my log cured so there's been a few duplicates and Yeah it's somewhere in that ballpark. Something different worlds and yet. I'm sure i've just barely scratched the surface of all the different presumably infant dimensions. There are out there jack. Strobe here my roommate is actually from one of these other dimensions. As a the whole thing you can go back and listen to how that happened. But he's here now. And i'm looking up the on list here look right like why haven't turned the biggest two thousand yet the next patron that we want to give a shoutout to is somebody named fluker. Yes pflueger as an interesting name. It is rather unique. I hope you think nice thoughts about him. Because some of these haven't gone so well no they haven't. We did try the whole reverse psychology thinking. That went really poorly. So don't do that again. Nice thoughts so as i turn on the bagel. trying two thousand here in a minute. We're going to be saying out loud. Pflueger had thinking about our patron flu generous patron and hopefully the dimension that we go to somehow involve something good about that sound think. Someone's here. I'm gonna go check it all back in bit. Good luck on your trip. All right i'm going to turn sing on get going. We'll see when i get back. So turning on the battlefront two thousand. Put it on the side yard. Oh yeah yeah. that's great. thanks all right. Two thousand is warming up again. He took pflueger. Puerto looks stable. All the rings the machine or nominal ready. I'm going through. Oh gosh wow okay hang on let me show my puerto here and then i'm gonna describe outdoors. Any birds die. You know. I do hear some mangy senate dogs in the distance but i appear to be in a very disgusting looking trailer park as a whole row of single wides laid out here in front of me in various states of extreme disrepair. I'm standing right in front of one heinous off. The roof is sagging a windows. I don't know if they've ever been cleaned. There's nobody around outside here. So i guess i'm just gonna head up to this closest one here and given a knock and see somebody's around you can learn a little bit about this dimension. Hopefully this whole dimension isn't like this. I don't know steps here and knock on the. Oh just just swung open okay. Anybody home hello There's no answer peaked. My head in. Here oh i think oh oh he hit it. Just hit me as a really not a great smell okay. But i'm looking inside. I think i see jack stroke. But he's is he. Hey are you. Okay hey oh. I think something may be wrong here. Okay the stroh sauce lifeless body. that's a still feels a little warm. Were where did it's not war. Remain alive but you should know. Kill them several days. Okay hollow graham jack strobe. I didn't hear you activate. No that wasn't shown. I watch the the crime. I read newer tech novels that the murderer often returns zia the crime. Not okay i for the first person i think back now. Okay therefore you are okay. And i called the rate first off not a murderer. I have never set foot in this trailer nor this entire trailer park before today before moments ago all those as our exactly whatever say. I'm sure it is okay. This is also. You appear to be strobe are you. Some kind of artificial. Intelligence officials don't l. k Are you actually gesture jober. Do you just look and sound exactly like Been hologram many of his memories as his last checkpoint which unfortunately was a month ago. But i do have most of his time doubt for mary's face plus knowledge thing. That's great. what should i call you. You can call me jack. Strove find jack strobe. I'm just gonna head out I don't think there's anything i can do here. Her the knock on the door opened up now if you ever year murderer i don't think this guy here even got murdered. Well then first of all. I'm going to need some facts first of all you name effects your name. What's your name name is max. Max max was that show for max. Essential for anything. Your names just. Max max can be bothered with more syllables. That's fine you over that one. The call yes. Jack strove the whole graham gastro as natural checks out. That's right. he's not. Actually jackson object strobe. Is this guy here. the right. So here's the thing. I was going to ask you if you had any sort of connection to the deceased but it would appear that you already. At least his name. How do you know the deceased name. Sir what'd you say. Your name was max. What's that short for. Max wait now. we did. This dance already. Haven't we the charles the hotel coup. You see what i'm saying. Pal is it. Max how do you know this. Man right yeah. How do i know this guy. When i did say earlier that i've never set foot on this trailer park nor in this very strong for yourself. That's what i told. Jester polygram here. So obviously i met jetro outside of the trailer park somewhere else. We used to work together was we were. Coworkers workers bud me first of all. Where am i. Man is second of all my name actually. This is probably seventh of all. Because i've done a few things. But since i came in here but regardless of what number it is the name is dirk dirk pflueger. Oh excellent detective pflueger perfect yet. Detective works too friendly thing. But you know what i can be bad cop. It's alright this is great a respected member of the local community. I'm so glad you're here because obviously what's happened here is this hologram has confused me for somebody else. I've never been in here before. I was coming here to meet the locals and to check out the local scene and i knocked on the door and it was open and this guy was just here unfortunately deceased so blessed with all of the deceased memories up to about a month ago it's loosely. Drew that max of jack. That's lease a lot onset. They were in a sales. I should say we were stable organization together and jack myself basically stole a bunch of clients from match max mad thing not a theft investigator or fraud investigator. Really a good thing. I'm not any of those. I only specified justin murder. So even if you confess to like any number of crimes today doesn't matter anyway. You're dead continue. So in addition to seal the number of max clients the best terms. Well nothing illegal about that. Last part i did not murder him though. Listen archie gonna like look for evidence or something. I think you'll find that. There's no evidence here that i committed any crime. Well first of all sunny. I wanna let you now something you probably already as everybody knows the first three rules of motor investigation. That's right location. Location location those the rules of real estate and your in the location that i'm in right now which means you're on the location of the dead body. I just wanted to touch base with everyone in my location before i started investigating my location. That's right rule number two location now. We'll get to number three. After i finished examining the location. Is this murder investigation. Is this real estate. It'd be surprised. I often the crossover. Now here's the thing sunny boy. I'm gonna need you to give the facts. Jack. that's right. the facts two of 'em specifically on facts. I wanted to give me something. That's not if that that's something that delight. i want to give me true truths. I don't wanna give me lie. Doesn't have to necessarily be in that order. In fact it's a lot more fun if it's not hanging you said santa boy and you also said jack are you talking. Which one of us were you talking to all right jack in the colloquial sense your jack. Not jack okay. It's also a little confusing because he keeps popping his hologram around the room. Kind of just seemingly randomly chevy stranded like throw me off balance. I appears you are armed straight. I on on low point a gun at your right now. Hey click sound that. We all heard just now wasn't enough to see new. Don't as me bro. listen. I'm gonna slowly take off my backpack through and weapons. What i would add. Is there for self defense. Only i'm setting it down. You can see had no other weapons. I'm not holes during anything we lift up my shirt. Oh wow in fact. I would've asked feed and not do that actually. Wow that's okay. well. I don't really need to see the bag now. Obviously not a threat out law to facts and in fact that's right son sunny boy sunny jack sunny. Just sorry i'll stop saying can fusing because he's jaclyn. You're jack you know what i'm saying. Third base. i'll call you jeremy. You okay with that max Short sounds great. Go ahead jeff. Okay sure fact number one. I am from the city of seattle. Sounders made up but go on fact or maybe not fact number two. I'm recording this whole conversation. That's felony Fact or possibly not fact number three is that i am a professional wrestler right. Now i'm not gonna guess which one of those is alive. Make sure that's clear. I'm just entering all of these into evidence. Now if any of this ends up being used in court and proving a detriment to the prosecution case you'll be fine and prison basically ally investigate that age. Old tactic called entrapment background. Check him and find the wasn't special wrestler. Say wow boylans like honestly can be any number of those. He's real good at this game. But here's what i wanna know maxi boy. That's right. jeremy. Mr travis boy. Here's the thing. What is that hold on the refrigerator. Handle this yeah. I see it as a smudge. A duck smudge looks like some kind of greece on the inside of the refrigerator handle jack but you know anything about this snow. I literally just walked in. Jack jack jack. The one that goes and i can see i around paper. Well that's is that it's not gonna happen any then let me just skirt that different part of the handle it all right Listen to him just showed up here. Maybe we should like. I dunno go to the neighbors and see if any of them saw anything well i was going to make a bit of a more thorough investigation. The contents of this fridge but a pretty much everything. I need to know by now. This cottage cheese shouldn't be this keller. I'm interested in knowing the neighbors of scene because they saw you coming. Maybe they saw going. You know what. I'm saying you probably. That's all right well. I'm just going to walk out the front door here. It's important to get a good smell surroundings. Hey wait a minute. That dollar game. Follow us out of the trailer. Whatever did you like activate upon his death. You knew how long he's been dead for would add as two and a half days. Couldn't have been meek. Because i just showed up. Well can you prove your absence grooving negative. That's another classic law enforcement technique. Ask him to prove a negative. They never can just like you can't right now. Say what's up nope. That's a raccoon. That's just the shoe. i think that's i'm sure that if you speak to the neighbors and the other surrounding trailers none of them will have seen me lough our next door. Who don't mind me interrupting you sir. But obviously you're man coming in and out of your neighbors house recently in the last couple of days does he have. Is this your watch. What i don't know know. I've never seen this guy before my wait a minute. You kind of millions. Talk hussein. sucks out that you look like this guy here. It's hologram year. You look a lot like him for like old wrinkly and gray suspicion seems a little suspicious itself them at. Can't you see that man in there. Who seems to be slightly transparent. It's probably just the drapes obviously has long. Yeah okay so you noticed. I think that's another hologram. Oh i just madrid. Give people the benefit of the third a bother. You say you need to your. He's a fraudster. What's reported to the landscaping crimes. Yeah that's right. This guy only does murder so there. We should be back with you in about a month now to the business at hand. This particular grizzly marta. The man inside that trailer right there. He's dead. I know crazy right now. She's still watching us through the window. I mean it's a big window. I you don't usually see bay-windows like that on mobile homes you do you. Hey you seem like you're living your best life. I don't think he's living any life. I'm telling you he's a hologram. There you can do it. Sturdy admits that he is allah. Graham who's gonna take me flesh and blood human or these holograms whole auster. That's right also. Have you taken a look at this long. It really does look needs mode does not my problem. That's landscaping crafts departments problem. Now i want you to really grasp and just take in the gravity situation. Meant that gentleman is dead. His goose is cooked. Yeah i understand. Ganders been pandered i understand. I'm the one who discovered the body. Now you just you discover the body. That is a real fun way to say it's not fun. It wasn't fun it's reached in there. I don't understand how you didn't seem to notice it at all just walked right in there. Listen here sonny. I've smelled death more times than you could ever dream okay. It's dark and it's changed me as a person. Listen we got to get ourselves back into that trailer right now and investigate the premises just a little bit more. Okay fine now really wreaks it yet. You heard mashed always gets his man and you sir. Are that man. Unless as i suspect you yourselves are in fact another hologram chest. Why why have. I just like that. Oh well that's the easy part of police works on terminating. Whether or not a person standing right in front of you is or is not a hologram. Listen i didn't murder. This guy doesn't look like he's been murdered. I don't see any evidence of actual trump shoot. I should look at the body lipstick on his collar. On my caller. What kind of color lipstick do you wear. I wear lipstick This trailer is packed to the gills with holographic projectors apparently surely there's also like some kind of cameras recording system like surveillance footage. You could just access and see what exactly what happened at good league jack here myself. Change the password since the last check was the face for this. This this this this right here. He can see that says my secret crush thoughts. I thought at every crush. I've ever had as jack in there. Were a lot of and none of them were the right answer. Well let me This is when the deductive powers that i developed over many years of training. Come into play. Hang on let me try something go that was it. Oh what do i. It was orange crush. That's not even secret. That's like the most popular flavor gone with grape strawberry. Those are secret. No one knows about those terrible hen. Man i mean i know it. Wasn't you technically orange crush. Well all right now time. For the moment of truth we're going to hit that play button and watch. That was the wrong button. That does that well the fact that you were the one who pointed me to this file tells me some you you're on the right value. Hit the wrong button. All right five like little. Try mother mom. That's a lady. I mean that's your mom or lady than you'll ever be what is happening now. Did you get the wrong file again. Somehow i guess that's our trailer jetro. I really need to call more often. She fall asleep well on top of him kissing and then moving to see my flesh twitching. I can barely see that. Most of your body is covered by mrs lugar. There ever got a romantic as. I'm starting to think not hit fast forward. Just hours of detective. Luger's mom laying on top of jack strove. She is a heavy sleeper. She moves she so slow down. Look or well. I mean how do those count is usually an presumably. They don't usually end with him. Being smothered to death. We stopped short death now. I'll be honest. I probably should have recognized that purview. When i first walked in here i've never known another woman to wear. How would you. How did you make a perfume smell in this place. I've got the nose of links or a similar creature. Obviously i did not murder this man. I reluctantly agree that this is probably go well. You would be. If i hadn't cut you in a blatant bald faced lie directly to law enforcement's that's right earlier on you told me. This whole conversation was being recorded. And i know that's a felony and you don't seem like you got the guts to actually do that sir. Unfortunately i'm going to have to take you in downtown ri- right okay. When are we just step outside. Interview With Director Jordan Brady
"Hey wow thanks guys. Thanks for having me on. George barco was the longest intro ever. We're going to have to loop our theme music a couple times just to cover that but you've done a lot so twelve hundred in commercials. It might even be more now. Because i've done probably thirty forty in the last nine months. Holy crap the pandemic shutdown shuts down. And then i started in july of twenty twenty and have been working straight through while and you guys got early like protocol for sets and stuff like the community of commercial producers. Really worked it out with sag and the dj and the directors guild and the aussie. Everybody was there. Were zooms a plenty trying to figure out protocol. And i've been tested thirty forty times a. Yeah they they find anything. No no nothing. that's good. I did one thing where i had to do. Testing like the day before and then one on the day of and not the day of the like two days before and then the day before and it was like the spit test likely at that point i just had to spit in a thing and we never done that one. I would always tip them. So i could get the rectal test. That's smart yeah. You know it's it's it's fun for everyone. Yeah that's not covered. It's a different kind of test. I want to like before we get into your filmmaking. So you you you have was was a stand up comedian so you no longer do. Stand up comedy not not professionally. I mean the last. I didn't for many years but i am road. Comic was the first time. I did a a real road gig twenty some
How To Sort Your Saggy Neck Skin
"Going to answer a question that was left on the pod. Fine hi lean. Kelly are really loved the big fan. I put a question for you. I'm approaching forty. And i'm from saggy skin under my neck. Is there something i can do about that. He's their treatment. I can undertake or is this in products that traits saggy skin or should i just embrace growing old gracefully. Thanks very much cheese by. Ken relate to saw approaching. Forty thing to the. Let's say you don't have sagging exc. Excuse me approaching forty s. i'm nine and also in case you missed it just recently. Mama mia launched employees which is our membership platform and on their kelly. And i do a video version of the podcast questions. We do spend savy a lot of fun. It's so much fun. But carolina will watching videos back today and there's a lot of turning to the side and shutting to each other like boys like. Oh my gosh. Nah is also like because you know when you're looking at a fight are you generally poisoning ahead of the angle. But there was just. There was a lot of bush turkey. More struck support the bus after. Like we want to get a little injections to dissolve the nick. Exactly i'm going to talk about the so you say should you seem brace it yes. Of course you should absolutely. Unfortunately these area gets relax. Gravity does things but there are a few things you can do if you want to really seriously tackle it if it's causing drama and you'd want to get rid of it you can have to do something and sell on. I will talk about products. Salmon it but you're going to have to go and have something relatively hectic if it's not just like a little bit of yet extra whatever yes no product is gonna taught in that shit up so you can have their marriage specifically skin tightening. It can be done on the face area the body. It's really good on the neck so look that up. I'm not gonna go into the very specifics. Because these are expensive and while they technically it on invasive then not just a a quick facial. Exactly you could have a thread lift. Kelly's had trades. Actually did you have it in your neck. I want to though now. Yeah well. I wanted to work up the courage on. I'll just let them shove whatever. And so threads essentially tiny threads for lack of a better word and collagen rushes to them and kind of replaces the threat they dissolve and collagen takes place and then it rejuvenates the area so they kind of inserted into the face in different areas. And in the nick that can be used to

Cryptocurrency Miners Snap up Computer Chips
"On the show. We talked about crypto currencies impact on the environment. Today let's talk about its impact on the semiconductor shortage miners and gamers are competing for high powered graphics. Chips aka gpa use. These are incredibly hard to find right now. Because of increased pandemic demand most are made at the same foundry in taiwan that struggling to produce enough chips for every industry and yes crypto. Minors are snapping them up to so to protect their gpu supply. Companies like nvidia are now producing mining. Specific chips oncho. Sag is a semiconductor analyst. At the tech advisory firm. More insights and strategy crypto. Definitely take away to a certain degree from everything else. Because it makes certain companies that produce the hardware crypto to prioritize more of their wafers a certain type of product and what ends up happening is it does put a little bit of a strain on the entire ecosystem but it's mostly contained within the gaming market like it had in the past but with a global shortage winds up happening is it starts to take away from other places that are needing it and as a result neither are really getting enough supply. Because there's only so much wafer capacity in the world so we're seeing that companies are pivoting to specifically making hardware form mining. Is that just a smart business decision or are they trying to protect kind of the other parts of their business to. Yeah so i think if you look at like the videos of the world. They are absolutely creating crypto specific hardware because their core business which is gaming is not actually getting enough of supply of gps for gaming because people are snapping up. You know thousands of these for mining. So they went out and created a custom. Mining chip that miners would buy that. And also whenever the mining boom peeters off it has in the past they will no longer be dumping the heavily used cards back into the market and causing issues with failures. And things like

"sag" Discussed on GSMC Television Podcast
"They didn't know 'cause the planning stunned months in advance and know where they would be At that point in the pandemic and if you know impersonal award shows were even going to be possible when they started planning with the pandemic in mind and as they got closer and closer they realized a couple of things so first off you know the industry still is very much not back to what it was a lot of the actors who are nominated in presenting and involved in the show are currently in production bubbles working on the work that they get paid to do as their profession and so one of the things that the planners and producers of the sag awards had to keep in mind is that having those actors leave those bubbles those quarantine production bubbles to attend in a word show potentially would put their employment at risk. Which as a union you you don't want to do. And so they decided to go with a show. That was very quick and streamlined. Running only in our prime time and consisted entirely of of Video recorded segments and. I thought that of all the award shows. I seen so far this year. The sag awards really really really did this. Well when i didn't watch the one hour pre show during the pre show when they usually give away a lot of the awards that don't get covered on any prime time award shell. That's a lot of the technical awards given give away doesn't mean that tech is any less important than the actors But at the end of the day when you think about it you know people know the names of mark ruffalo in in you know Gena davis they don't always know bob the second grip on the mandalorian or susie from Costume design and so a lot of times to to ensure that people are tuning in they do focus on on the actors and as a as a technical theater major That hurts me sometimes. Especially now because i feel like so much of of what we see is becoming more and more technical I read an article the other day about the mandalorian using a giant digital screen as part of their backdrop. When they're filming which is what's helping to kind of have these really immersive beautiful visuals in that shell. So that doesn't happen without the technical people that are working behind the scenes. Sorry i wanna acknowledge that. Don't come for me in the comments. I i the tax. But i didn't watch the pre show. I did watch the the forty seven minute live our lives but not really live jokers. I watched it on youtube But i stream the forty seven minute show and and it starts with this like montage. The nominees Literally taking a pieces from the the shows and movies and and things that they're nominated in and kind of super cutting up together super fun way to introduce all of the nominees all at one time and then it grows from that into the more traditional best actor the actress and so on and so forth The actual nominees are in their homes. There was there was one that was in his car wearing a full suit why he was filming in his car. I will never know of. But i love love. Love love love seeing these intimate moments of the the nominees in their homes I have really enjoyed watching the backgrounds of every newscast in and so on and so forth and looking at what people have on their bookshelves. And so if you're like me this is this is just so fun to see people's homes and.

The chip shortage is a manufacturing problem that wont be easy to solve
"Here's what's going on. With the chip shortage thing. I among us chipmakers only intel fabricates. Its own chips in the us. The rest contract with big companies mostly in taiwan or korea which are known as fabs the biggest tsmc in samsung. Their facilities are incredibly expensive and take years to build and even upgrade now add in pandemic lots of people at home buying computers tablets phones throw in the pandemic slowing down. The actual manufacturing and there aren't enough chips for cars medical equipment or all those other devices last week. President biden requested thirty seven billion dollars from congress to kick start the domestic supply chain for chips on shell. Sag covers the semiconductor industry at more insights and strategy. I asked him. If that'll be enough. I think thirty seven billion dollars is very likely a down payment. I'm not really sure it's enough because ultimately if we want to move enough chip producing capacity to the us There needs to be a considerable monitor investment to incentivize the tsmc's in the samsung zoo world to do that. So the companies that develop chips in the united states many of them all contract with the same foundry right. Tsmc so it's not like they're completely in charge of their own supply. They are constrained by how many chips say. Emc can produce and what other arrangements. It has to sell tips to other companies exactly. So there's there's tsmc the samsung and there's global foundries Those are like the bigger ones. Tim is their provider of everyone. Silicon and based on the customer relationship that accompany house with tsmc ultimately determines what priority they get in that pecking order of. What's available and then tell me about intel does have its own foundry but it doesn't seem like that's going that well yeah. They had some of their own challenges with these new or process nodes and they've been struggling to overcome them and they just recently got a new ceo and they're really aggressively pushing for resolving these issues But they've they've shown that they've been able to overcome some of their challenges and increase their supply because they had shortages of their own prior to the pandemic And now they seem to be kind of getting back on track to a degree but ultimately intel is only producing intel products. This is a complicated problem to solve. Do you think that there is a best solution like do. We just have to wait out. Covert it in this shortage and beef up. Companies like tsmc or is the intel model of companies producing their own chips. Going to be the future. I think there is a valid concern in wanting to have a certain percentage of chip capacity in the us. We have to just figure out what is the right number. For how much chip capacity. We need in the us and how much we as us. Taxpayers are willing to front that bill to ensure that national security level of chips. Apply right because it will most likely come down to a minimum necessary investment. Because i just don't think that it makes sense for the us to try to replicate what tsmc incur and samsung have done in korea and taiwan. Because it's double digit billions and that's just a short term cost. What is and this is just out of curiosity in some ways. What is the role. What role does apple play. I mean i wasn't apple like pretty early to go fabulous and maybe kickstarts some of this trend and then now apple is like intel creating its own chips for many of its products and building this kind of big apple only business. I'm just kind of curious about where they sit in this whole landscape. It's interesting because like you said apple is fabulous and they do. They do design their own chips but they ultimately still do depend on. Tsmc to those trips. And i believe they are number one customer but they do have a role in the industry where they they do influence. What kind of tools are necessary for the fabs to purchase Materials and new technologies are being adopted because ultimately you know what apple wants does drive how the market moves in terms of sensors and and chips. So i think apple's influence is one its size They do influence how much industry will grow and they also influence what kinds of technologies get adopted because their scale make make certain types of technologies profitable And i think with this trip shortage. You're seeing apple not really talk about it very much at all. Because they're kind of the first ones in the pecking order and I think that they've anticipated chip demand just enough that they probably don't really have much to be worried about. So and the pecking order

So it's weird. I, want an executive or some engineer from cardinal glass to come on the pro talk podcast I think that be fascinating I tried to find someone there to talk to you about this very subject with the glass because I think, the dark frames are potentially going to make either the glass fail because of the Greater Coefficient of expansion of materials because they're so hot. Or they're going to. Reduce the. Of the of the sash because you're going to have to build in these larger gaps because I think the windows are going to move more but this is all speculation but I think the people to ask is cardinal because if they're suddenly getting glass failures because of these dark windows they're gonNA. Know that it's a problem before anybody else does right and I don't know that these things have been in the. Mainstream long enough that we can really say that they're going to hold up long-term. "Colonel Parsons also participated in the siege of Boston and took a commission in the continental army. Some sources say that he fought at Bunker Hill but as far as I can tell he never actually made it onto the battlefield. It appears that he was part of the reserve forces that were held back during the battle. Colonel Parsons moved to New York with the rest of the army after the British evacuated Boston in August seventeen. Seventy six congress commissioned him a brigadier general. He was the Connecticut candidate. Who prevented Colonel Arnold from being promoted in that round now? General Parsons oversaw. The failed mission of the turtle submarine which was supposed to blow up the British fleet in New York Harbor. He also fought at White Plains and join the raid on Fort Independence in January. Seventeen seventy seven following the Danbury raid which I discussed episode one thirty five Washington gave Parsons an independent command in Connecticut. Washington was concerned that the British might attempt another raid into the state general. Parsons was eager to do more. Though than simply sit around and wait for another raid. He wanted to launch a counter rate to prepare for a raid on long island. General Parsons tapped colonel. Return Jonathan meags. I have to pause here for a moment to explain how this guy got a name like. Return Jonathan. According to Family Laura when his father was courting his mother she refused his proposal of marriage so he got on a horse and rode off. Either she had a change of heart or had just been playing hard to get but she ran after him shouting return. Jonathan the couple did get married and thought it will be fun to name. Their Son Return Jonathan in remembrance of the event so this wasn't some nickname that he picked up during his life. His parents actually saddled him with that name at his birth. Incidentally meeks passed on the name to his son. Return Jonathan MEEKS. Junior who many years. After the revolution became senator and governor of Ohio. It was passed onto a third generation as well return. Jonathan Meigs the third. The grandson of the men were discussing today Mary the daughter of a Cherokee chief and was forced to March the trail of tears with his in-laws decades later. But I'm getting way way ahead of our story. Meek senior had served as a colonel in the militia before the war he had a thriving mercantile business and was married to his second wife in seventeen seventy four following the death of his first wife a year earlier after Lexington Concord. Captain Makes Lead Company of militiamen to participate in the siege of Boston. After the continental army formed Meeks became a major in the Second Continental Regiment Yvonne Tear across the Wilderness under Benedict Arnold to Attack Quebec. In seventeen seventy five and was among the minority. Who actually made it through to the battle of Quebec. They're like both of those who did make it through. He was captured and held prisoner for several months. Despite the many hardships of the campaign meeks kept a journal of the mission which is a wonderful primary source. For the events of Arnold's March and the battle of Quebec in May seventeen seventy six makes was paroled and able to return home via Halifax however under the conditions of his parole he could not rejoin the war until exchanged for captured British officer. It wasn't until January. Seventeen seventy seven that. He was formerly exchanged and could rejoin the war effort in February meetings. Were saved promotion to lieutenant colonel and in May got bumped up to full colonel to take command of the sixth Ketogenic. Get Regiment upon taking this command. He was tasked by General Parsons to launch the retaliatory raid against Long Island. A Long Island. Sag Harbor had been under British occupation since just after the British seized Long Island in August. Seventeen seventy six. A force of two hundred continentals was originally sent to Sag Harbor to prevent the British control of the entire island. When the British sent a larger force out to occupy the area in September the small and isolated two hundred continentals sled across long island sound to Connecticut without a fight. The British stand required all civilians to take an oath of loyalty to the King of the thirty five families living in SAG harbor at the time. Twenty-one took the oath the other fourteen fled to Connecticut because SAG harbor was a port on the eastern of Long Island where men or supplies could be taken in her out. The regulars maintained a presence there along with British patrol ships in the sound to make sure the Patriots could not make use of it out. You have to remember. Long Island is really well long. It was over a hundred miles from New York City where the main British garrison was located to the outpost at. Sag Harbor hundred miles was several days march at the time as the British prepared for a spring offensive. Their focus was to the south general. How had at one time hoped he would launch multiple invasions including what against New England instead after receiving disappointing numbers of reinforcements over the winter. He focused on taking Philadelphia. Therefore Sag harbor became less important as a jumping off point Howell also wanted to take most of his regulars with him to Philadelphia leaving mostly local loyalist militia supplemented by Haitians to defend New York. So by May seventeen seventy seven. There were only about seventy loyalist militia occupying SAG harbor under the command of Captain James Raymond. The loyalists had an earthen works. Defensive Line at the edge of town to use in the event of an attack they built housing for the garrison on nearby meeting House hill which also gave a good view of the area including the bay to the north of them. According to later accounts they're British. Who had originally built a defensive works? On Meeting House Hill had dug their entrenchments in the meeting. Houses graveyard resulting in the desecration of many graves. The loyalists also had a twelve gun schooner and a dozen smaller gunboats manned by about forty loyalists sailors. Their main purpose was to prevent smugglers from moving anything across long island sound. These ships supplemented the British navy. Which also patrolled the sound on the lookout for any unauthorized ships? A SAG harbor served as a depot for British forage and other supplies remember. This was near the end of the Forage War in New Jersey when Patriots had been trying to deny forage and food for the army's horses and men there were tons of. Hey Crane and other supplies stockpiled. Sag Harbor in preparation for the raid. Colonel meags hand selected the soldiers from various megs. Pick two hundred and thirty four officers and men to assemble as a temporary unit for this one. Operation Among those selected was a local. So that means was able to get intelligence about the area sergeant L. Nathan Jennings The First Connecticut told me that he had grown up in SAG harbor. He was intimately familiar with the area. Jennings had been among the many patriots who had fled. Long Island rather than take the oath of loyalty to the king wants to British arrived. The twenty three year old had signed up with the continental army and was eager to assist. He provided details about the best places for landing at about paths into the village that avoided the main roads on. May Twenty first. The men selected for the mission moved from New Haven to nearby Guilford Connecticut as the launch point for crossing the sound there. They waited for two days until the weather calmed down enough to make the crossing. Finally on the afternoon of May Twenty Third. The stormy weather had subsided. The assault force crossed long island sound in thirteen well boats which are basically large rowboats. They were also accompanied by three small sloops with sales. The force landed on South hold. Which is long the north fork of Eastern Long Island? If you're not familiar with the geography in eastern Long Island it is separated into a north fork and a South Fork. Which divided by PECAN ICK? Bay South hold as I said is on the north fork. Sag Harbor was on the south fork. If the men were to march all the way around the bay it would be about forty-five miles of marching for more than they could do in a single day. Instead they carried eleven of the well boats overland to Conic Bay. They then rode across the bay and landed on the south fork about four miles from Sag harbor around midnight. The raiders had to leave some of the men with the ships at South. Hold and more with the whale. Boats that were tied up a few miles from town. So only about one hundred seventy men of the original two hundred and thirty four continued on to Sag harbor to engage the enemy after landing. It took the soldiers about two hours to form up and make the night march to Sag harbor arriving around two. Am On the morning of the twenty fourth. Meeks divided his men into two groups. The main force of about one hundred and thirty men would assault the defenses at meeting house. Hill the other forty man team led by captain. Troup moved down the harbor to destroy all the ships and supplies. They're meeks himself led the main force on meeting House Hill. He ordered his men to attack the guards with bayonets and avoid any gunfire that might awaken the main loyalist garrison according to a report compiled later by the Sag Harbor Village Story and the raiders. I captured a guard house which had been the town schoolhouse before the occupation and took prisoner the guards there. They next occupied the barracks where they surprised the sleeping soldiers and captured them without firing a shot from there. They moved on to capture the loyalist garrison commander Captain Raymond and his staff who were sleeping in a commandeered home on main street. It was only after capturing raymond that the continentals assaulted the main defense is on meeting House Hill. That is where the fighting resulted in the death of six loyalists who resisted in hand to hand fighting. Meeks in his report simply said that his men captured the garrison without much more detail. He noted that there was only one shot fired. So the men had been effective with the bayonet the raiding party captured fifty three prisoners with no casualties. Among the continentals the smaller force went to the harbor where they reportedly destroyed twelve boats. Dock there by burning them. They also burned the warehouses that contain the Hay grain and other supplies being held for the British Army. The fires alerted a small British. Twelve gun frigate that was anchored just offshore. It opened fire on the continentals. The raiders continue destroying the ships in the harbor and the warehouses at the docks. They spent about forty five minutes completing the destruction. While under fire from the ships cannons this contingent also captured another thirty seven prisoners in.

It's a friendly debate. I guess so. Oh but anyway. Game of thrones comedy or drama series. which is exciting? especially because I feel stunts. Don't ever really nominated for any awards or they should because they're really really hard to do. Absolutely yeah so. That's what I'm saying like I liked compared to the other awards shows movie award shows sog so far as like my favorite right and then I want to mention like the very lost Award that was given up the saga worked with is deemed as the most prestigious. And that's the lifetime achievement Stephen Ward and that's awarded to individuals who have made a lasting impact refill some actors who've received this award have been betty. Why Morgan Freeman Audrey Hepburn? Clint Eastwood Sweet. I was I I was. I was waiting for an avid. But I'm like a fan of all those the people maybe not so much Audrey Hepburn. Because I I don't really grow up watching her but the rashes incredible my fair lady. I haven't I always see her picture on like marshals framed. Not The only reason I know. She's the coolest but anyways so the winner for this year is lifetime achievement award was given to Robert Deniro. It's pronounced zero throw the needle. Whatever whatever okay? Denial Robert De Niro but again. I'm not surprised he's he's through all the films he's done. He's super versatile and he has a lot of memorable memorable roles like meet the Falker. Okay we walked the deer hunter Silver linings playbook young touchable And the list goes on so I. I'm not surprised. He was awarded this specific award. He looked super old at the SAG awards. Though like gentleman. I forget though because When I you see him on screen that's the you know image? I think of him all the time and then when he was on stage at the saga awards he had like a very long white beard. The white long hair I was like is this manny so little. He's definitely shrinking. He's probably my height now. Three like what do you expect. The I'd like don't want him to age. I wanted to do movies forever and ever and ever like all these actors never wish that on anybody that would be torturous existence instance. I know I know but you guys that's going to wrap up for the SAG awards talk and I want to move now into a movie trailer that we watch which is my gosh start us. Yes he's been in many many films. What did he do in? The joker joker he was as a talk. Fox show host more of a supporting role but he is featured But yeah he was there. I will wrong If you haven't seen joker I won't give away what happens. But he's dark tale truly versatility of this man. Yes that's insane. Like he's he's the guy he's pretty cool. Oh Yeah I mean. He's got a pretty substantial. He's been doing stuff since the seventies with a lasting impact the film. That's what the lifetime achievement award is. Wow Okay you're impressed. No Hater Eight. Are we oppressed. I mean award shows are Gonna I know I know you are not my favorite but I I just out of all the One's that we've seen this one. I enjoyed the most like they've got like a categories that we don't normally see some. That is exciting. So now we're GonNa talk about a movie trailer it which is Pretty Slim pickings for movie trailers. I was like looking through to find the only one on that. I really felt like it was worth talking about aside from. Sonic the HEDGEHOG which we've already talked out and magic mentioned again. I'm super here for Jim Carey and him. Being a super villain comes out soon does in February right. I think on Valentine's Day so perfect day. That is exactly what I'm doing on date. Night is making king. My Poor Girlfriend Watch video came movie with me about a character from the nineties that Jim Carey Man. I mean I love Jim Carey. uh-huh yeah so maybe she'll want to go see it. Quick Best Jim Carey movie. Your favorite Jim Carrey movie. Oh my God the one I forgot the name but the one the green mask. That's called the mask the mask. I'm like that one or the grinch like you did right. You can't really tell it's him the mass I feel like that's the very first Jim Carey my watch and like just fell in love with his performance. And he's very what's that expressive. His emotions faces says like he's super just goofy. He does a great job in that movie. Your right my favorite Jim. Carrey film is Yes Ma'am Oh that one really good. Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind is a great Serious Jim Carrey role Was it was. He like Liar. Liar is was. That was what it was called. I don't remember it's it's the one where he can't tell a lie for a whole day and he's a lawyer and Okay I kind of rings a number of it's called Liar Liar like the lying man or something like that. I I think. One Super Sweet I liked that one a lot and then obviously ace Ventura. Those movies are hilarious. The second one we need to talk about it at some point on this podcast. Because I think it's People don't realize this but the second Jim Carey movie is starting the Second Ace. Ventura movie is absolutely like a low budget trash film now. Everybody saw that without knowing it. There's the specific seem that I'm thinking of whether playing chess and the camera pans away for half a second and when they come back. No one has touched the chessboard. But it's like a completely different chessboard. So like the continuity and the budget on that film must have been just like absolutely in the in in the dumpster so we should do an episode where we just Hawk Jim. Carrey movies there's like a wide array array of films that we can talk about. We could talk about talking about somebody who deserves to win the Sag Award for lifetime achievement. "Waiting until the last minute. Welcome back from commercial break. I'm just on fire with these dad jokes today are you. I am you're listening to the GMC movie podcast. Do I need to repeat it down like you've been gone for a week. It's like everything everything does over your head way. Do I mean they know they're listening to the should by now I know here are two wonderful voices and they're about to go on a diatribe. About how the IMF or how people seeing something in breaking box office records doesn't necessarily make something a good movie like Avatar broke every box office record ever and it sucked so avatar. Know why it's just like you're just like I'm reading the hate train. Today you choose taken off from the station. 'cause you're recovering from being sick. Maybe yes I have so much much time to next week. You'll be better mood. I'm in a great mood. I'm super happy I'm here. I'm doing a podcast. The Sun came out for like twenty minutes. That was great Yeah all right. Where are we really talking about? I don't even remember talking about cutting we're talking about S. A. G. Sag awards. It's what you do with your the genes. Oh my God. Are you keeping points of all these jokes at this point. Are you better shy. They show okay but at this year's twenty six annual so is abbreviated for screen actors. Guild awards guild. I guess I like right right. Okay I don't even know what a guild ill guild is but like usually people only use it for nerdy stuff like video games. I would have no. I don't play video games. I really actually know yes. Mario Kart talked about. Ram Parties. Mario Party to Marin Party anyways though wait Mario Party to or Mario Party in addition I don't know I just go over to my sister's house and it's all plugged in writing for me to play. Okay that's probably not Mario Party to that. It was on sixty four time. I think before my time my God sixty four look like I don't know I don't yeah I don't know anything about video game. I don't anyways. Saga awards took place at not last night. January nineteen gene at the shrine auditorium and expo and L. A.. which obviously it's like all these award shows as well as the most suitable place for all these award shows and I I honestly I watched a big chunk of the show through Youtube of course and I really liked how the saga awards words? focuses not necessarily just on the artists themselves are on the artists on the actors and actresses but they rarely view acting as a collaborative project as a collaborative Piece of our so. They're awards are not only specified towards like best male actor best female actor Etcetera Federa but they also like. I was surprised that they were giving out like stunts for certain like I actually liked The SOG awards compared to like the Golden Globes That we talked about in previous episodes. And I'm GonNa just quickly read their mission and their mission is posted on their website website and it goes the awards focus on both individual performances as well as a work of the entire assemble of drama series and comedy series. And the cast of a Motion Picture Ensemble Ensemble. Yes I said assemble on some level I understood you yes. These honours are fundamental until the spirit of the screen actors guild awards because they recognize. We'll all actors no. The acting is a collaborative art. And that's like what they stand for. That's cool and their mission. So yeah no I appreciate it. I was like oh well. It's not just some self serving award show for Hollywood bigwigs to get up and be like look how great I know cool and something something that I also like to. Is that the majority of the actors who were in attendance of the show. They all like rarely height each other up and they were like you know. We all grew up together. I mean there were barely any new generation actors in the room like majority of them. Were probably people. We grew up watching coaching on the Chino Robert Deniro. I did not grow up watching them. Oh well you know. I'm sure you've watched a couple movies with them starring in it. I actually don't know I know like meet the faulkners Robert Deniro. Rubber Deniro is in that language. I did not say Edward. Okay but I'm going to just Ben Stiller Right. He's the main Guy Gasman Stiller Jennifer Aniston. Brad Pitt. Who else there is so many actors in their Sofia Vergara The one who's in regard for right gotta go out. Yes so I liked like how they were rarely. They felt like viewer watching the awards show through youtube like there was a sense of community within them and they were really just like appreciative of each other's work and no I really enjoyed it but anyways I wanna get into some of the awards that were handed and this one is probably one of the most memorable awards because it made history so for outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture of the whole uh-huh was awarded to parasite which I really would like to see. Yes me too. Parasite was directed by Bong Jun Ho and he was also nominated for best director at the Golden Globes for this film And parasite is a South Korean film and it just made history because it it became the first ever foreign language fell to take home a saga award for this specific category. So there has never been a Gordon. Yes a huge win for South Korea and I performed films in general. Yeah and I think also it's even more exciting about this. Specific specific award is that I feel that a lot of Asian communities and Asian American communities. I've talked about this but how they feel that they're underrepresented ended in Hollywood which is absolutely true. So it's really nice to see it kind of there being represented and they're being recognized for their work and and I actually saw a little bit of the trailer for parasite and I. I WANNA watch it. And there's a reason why they're getting so many nominations they have an Oscar nomination as well all so now. I'm I was very pleased with the outcome for that specific award and then for outstanding performance by female actor actor in a leading role was awarded to Renee Zellweger for her performance. In Judy she wanted the same thing at the Golden Globes. Have you seen that show with Richmond. Judy Yeah I have not have you know I really want to now I want. I know that was going through these. I like the recipients of these awards awards. I want to see a lot of these films. There's a reason why you know they're getting nominated. What did they do differently? What made them stand out so? I'm definitely intrigued to see my shooting. ZOG's pretty cool. She is she is. I haven't like we talked about how we haven't really seen her name pop up in awhile since the Golden Globes but she's is now being recognized and then of course. I'm not even surprised by this next recipient. I've been talking about this movie from. I know everybody everybody everybody I know. Even these awards shows and outstanding performance by male actor was given to walking Phoenix. For Joker Watson feelings. He he didn't he didn't seem as a joke. Ary At this award show. I don't know if you remember coming down from that. Like method acting in high. Yeah so this when he seemed a little bit more like when he was giving his acceptance speech he seemed a little more I quote Unquote Normal It wasn't so into that joker character On offstage so yeah again. I'm not even surprised by this. And and then for outstanding performance by a male actor in a supporting role was given to Brad Pitt for his role in once upon a time in Hollywood. which which I haven't seen have you seen that? I haven't seen this one either supposed to be really good. Well he winds Cohen Brothers Flick. Right maybe I I know Brad Pitt plays. He says that his character in that film. He's like this guy who like is just like I'm trying to keep this. PG High all the time and doesn't really do much with his live live Now I'm intrigued by this film as well. And he won and his exact same category at the Golden Globes so movie for the exact same movie once upon a time they now it does feel really self serving. It's just like Oh look how great we all are. We get to win the same award for the same thing in multiple places like I duNNo. It almost feels like you go on the award circuit for like advertising reasons not for like legitimate acting reasons or it's like they're actually just that good I don't know I will i. was there no other good movies. Well I know that's what I was thinking. I feel like As a whole with all the awards at the saga wards. They're they are definitely different from the Golden Globes and the Oscar nominations because the Oscar nominations and the Golden Globe nominations. They're pretty much almost identical and I feel like compared to those two. Saga wards is definitely a little more diversified. I guess if you don't pay so and you'll see like as I go through some of the other recipients like it's not all the same person from the previous award wine year we've got the next listed as performance by female actress supporting role for surge story. which didn't win any awards at the CONGLO? So yeah for fremaux actor in a drama series. I'll female actor. The drama series was Jennifer Aniston. She was not awarded anything at the Golden Globes. Two things about the morning show. She works with Steve Carell and And I'M A fan of Steve Carell grew. I know he is. He really is needed like pause. Here and talk about Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston real quick. So we're why because they were trending on twitter for outright after the award show.

"At the SAG awards this weekend this time in front of the cameras their public reunion has fans totally freaking out they rekindle their friends yeah but this is the most PDA that fans have seen since they split in two thousand five at the SAG Brad it playfully held under Gen farm is a past each other on the busy red carpet and the ultimate moment was Brad literally stopping in his tracks to watch Jan's acceptance speech for Best Actress when he was backstage just moments after he took home best Supporting Actor and he was beaming I guess a lot of fans are hoping they are getting back together I really hope not I think he still toxic and that word is the over use but he just literally is the definition of toxic why why is he the devotees of doctor because he humiliated her right he laughter and people can be reformed no well yes they can but I feel like he's doing it all because now he's like nothing's nothing because he has little kids like I get that he's got a whole new life but I feel like he's doing a kind of like for the shell of like being like I want you back Jennifer thinking once are back it's for sure but I also think that he does not need to do that and she doesn't either because I feel like she's just better without a home I think people can screw up and realize they screwed up it doesn't mean **** to take him back but is the woman that he left her for allowing him so it's not like he was late to make a choice so now he's like oh crap so he supposed to just see her and they're supposed to discuss up their separate ways but if he does want her back like he got left and now like don't please don't take a back channel I agree with that I just don't know that this is anything more than a bunch of over speculation you know they were spotted together they were once married right probably have some level of affection for one another there are lots of cameras around so neither one of them is going to be even if Jennifer didn't wanted she's not gonna show on him right so I think we're all reading too much into this I don't think he's taken aback so I think she would have done it already the way like that he grabs her to makes me so angry just received a really bad ex boyfriend who won't leave you alone we all have that I know we do ladies you know I think the are you the rest I've I've seen it before of see this up without a million times play out she's taken aback and that's all there is to it maybe he doesn't want that but I don't I don't think it's happening now I don't think it will either despite what people might and I do believe that people can be reformed I mean if she did take him back I would say that has never worked for me looking back and hoping for a different outcome but I would be naive to believe that people can learn from their mistakes and realize how badly they screwed up and and be river become reformed it's possible they're doing things that normal access should be doing you should say had your axe right especially if you're American should watch for speech you have been wanting that for twenty years yeah like if my acts didn't watch my speed he just won a golden globe wasn't a golden globe your choice are gonna SAG two yesterday and she looked very happy for it but they had so you'll source normal thing still made on her face you know as he's giving his speech and she seemed happy for him I I guess I don't this this looks healthy to me to be on the same you know course people are gonna read into it speaking of axes Riana was spotted over the weekend with Drake after reports that she and her billionaire boyfriend of three years had split fans recorded video footage of them in the audience of the twenty twenty I'm stay cell at Barclays center in New York earlier in the day Rhianna was beyond say is under fire because her adidas and ivy park collection which dropped over the weekend only includes sizes up to an Accel the collections made up of gender neutral activewear like "Hello and welcome back to GSM see entertainment plots hat and moving moving on. We're still going through some of the recipients of some of the wards at the SAG awards and the next one I'll be listing here is for for outstanding performance by female actor in a drama series. And this was awarded to General Please Jennifer Aniston Anniston for her performance her role in the morning show and I need to pause here and show with the guys another memorable moment a topic. That was being It was trending on twitter. It was training on Yahoo and everybody was talking about this. Specific moment was when Jennifer Aniston was accepting her award and was up on the podium giving her speech during her speech. Brad Pitt had he had just us he was right before her At the podium. Right so right after you give your acceptance speech at the podium. You know they walk. You take you through the back in your backstage. So Oh Jennifer Aniston won this award right after Brad Pitt accepted his and while she was giving her acceptance speech. Brad Pitt stopped everything everything he was doing backstage was looking at the teleprompter looking at the TV and he was just gazing at Jennifer Aniston and like admiring her while she was giving her acceptance speech through the screen and vice versa. When Brad Pitt was up at the podium giving his acceptance speech the camera camera pans to Jennifer Aniston she was at the time sitting where all the audience members were at the tables down below and she was like also like her hand was is placed under her chin and like she was smiling and clapping from engaging in like it's so nice to see XS who still get along in that way okay and are still supportive of each other but a lot of people on social media were going raving going crazy over this moment because the the famous XS were photographed sharing a moment backstage after their respective wins in which Jennifer Aniston. She like turns away but her hand and is placed on Brad Pitt's chest and he's like grabbing her hand you know and like you can definitely tell like he still has like some type the feelings towards her. I don't know they seem like awfully friendly. And especially if you're a millennial like me I mean this just brought back back memories of the early two thousand when it was Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston and they were like that it cup when everybody admired them because they were amazingly good looking looking together. A good-looking pair and I we haven't seen and photographed like that in that win. That friendly Loving way in such many many years. There's and many fans were you know all these memes were circling around twitter and people are like. Oh my God you guys tapping. It's happening like they're gonNA get back together other and like but also the other half were like you guys like she will. She's not GonNa Forget. How Brad Pitt dirty? How he cheated on Jennifer Aniston and what Angelina Jolie? So a lot of people are also saying like don't take back your cheating ex But it was a debate. You know going back and forth but this this was definitely a trending topic everybody was raving about it. especially if you grew up like watching them in the early two thousands you probably admired their relationship but but it is. It was really nice to see them showing their admiration and respect for one another and you know over the years they have still remained very friendly with one. Another Brad Pitt has attended a Jennifer Aniston Annual Holiday Party as was her fiftieth. Birthday Bash Last year in February which. I'm pretty sure he started. They started getting friendly again. Wants him and Angelina. Jolie have split they. They filed for divorce in twenty sixteen or they split in two thousand sixteen but the divorce has been finalized into nineteen. So I'm assuming all of these rumors I have been kicking up sense Brad. Jelena's have split and their bolt single. They're both in their fifties talking about Jennifer Aniston and Brad. Pitt's you don't get confused but yeah I mean I'm not too sure how would feel about that like it was nice to see them together. You know they were like laughing and like showing thing and my admiration for one another. Why did have such trouble saying they're in our admiration for one another which is nice to see friendly exit? You know still will having that respect for one another but yeah. I'm kind of on the fence to because yeah they look good and they brought back that early two thousand five but but he did do my girl Jennifer Aniston dirty. So it's like I'm conflicted like I can't really like vouch or ship for that relationship. Because because he did to my girl Jennifer innocent dirty. But I mean we'll see we never know what the future may hold but I was definitely one of the most Pivotal Don moments of the CY young awards and moving on from that going back to our regular course of work here. I'm now moving onto into who won for outstanding performance by female actor in a drama series. And this was or sorry totally wrong. This was given to Male actor in a drama series and this was awarded to Peter Dink Lidge for for his performance. In game of thrones overthrowing get there my punt. Overthrowing Steve Carell David David Harbour Billy Krupp and Sterling K.. Brown pretty tough competition. I'm a fan of Steve Corral. Whenever he gets mentioned? I'm like I want him to win because I just absolutely love him in the office David Harbour he was He was a police the he played a police. His role was a policeman in stranger things again. All of these guys are pretty tough competition. Like I'm a fan of the saga wars right now. Because I like how. It's diverse verse The nominees are lot different. Different Pool of Pe- bolden the Oscars and the Golden Globe like the Oscars and the Golden Globes. It's pretty much the same people people being nominated for both award shows and I like how the SAG awards is a little more diverse. And I'm a fan so fly so far saga ward. Do you like my top movie. Awards show to keep up with and moving. On a outstanding performance by a male actor in a television movie or limited mitts series was awarded to Sam Rockwell for his performance and fuss over dine and he was up against giral old jerome so for those who drilled aromas which you should know by the way he had the absolute best performance in the net flex a Short like Docu series when they see us and again. If you haven't seen this film I highly suggest like it is by far one of the top-rated net flicks films. My favorite Netflix film. I think giral Jerome Jaryl. Jerome should have one. Invest Specific category for best actor actor in a television movie are limited series. I think he was robbed in this category. I know and I even saw this in the last In the last episode how like I Every award show. No one's going to be happy or not. Everyone's going to be happy. Someone's GonNa be upset and I'm that person today. I'm that upset person because I think Gerald Jerome should have one in specific category because his performance and when they see us was so moving and uncomfortable and when I mean uncomfortable I mean like he rarely made us viewers fuel a type of way. Feel something uncomfortable in our social the justice system. I mean if you haven't watched when they see us it's pretty much it's based on a real life story about These men in New York and how they they were wrongly convicted of a rape and murder of this White woman who was a runner in New York City Central Park and they were convicted for lifelong senses. They were in jail. And it's pretty much based around that whole journey of these men and Durrell Joe Rome in that Netflix documentary series film. He played two characters. A key played like a child like a sixteen year old younger durell Jerome in that foam home and then he played a secondary role in that foam as him as an adult and like. Oh my God literally got tears seeing him like that. I feel that's like what film was about like actors. Their role is like to make audience members and viewers feel something and feel moved and and he definitely did that to not just me. But many people especially The African American community people Minority groups people of Color so I'm I'm on a color back and definitely identify with the issue. And how heartbreaking it is and I feel feel for those people and like ONA do everything in my can too. You know like just raise awareness really and You guys continental breath because I'm getting really deep into this and when we come back. "And then to vote on the winners all one hundred sixteen thousand seven hundred forty one sag after members in good standing get to vote on the winners. So you've got kind of not a random selection of titles. But like those twenty two hundred people could really be anyone. So I think accounting for anomalies in taste and things we don't necessarily expect to show up at the Oscars actors are a huge branch of Oscar voters, but we don't know that the same people at all. Yeah. And just anecdotally like a few years ago. I a friend of mine is in sag, and she was picked to be on the nominating committee. And she she had like, you know, like the Eiffel tower stack of screeners, and I know for actually did not get through all of them, you know. And and so I don't know does Beale street for whatever. Reason maybe it's just not a familiarity with the title or whatever does that. Well, I don't know why. With the Beale street screeners. I'm going to say that we had we did have an issue with that in the office did not enough. Screener to send Mike and real streets. Greater it's true. Mike is Mike is very precious. Let's talk about one thing. That is good. There's a couple of things that are good black klansman. I love the black clansman has so much momentum in worst season. It's just rolling along. And and it's lovely. It's actually really great to see John David Washington here. And it's really great to see it in ensemble. I was not sure how this wild movie was gonna fair. And I think that it's really cool that it's doing well. And then I'm also happy to see Sam Elliott in here in supporting. Yeah. It's funny. You take what you wanna take from these nominations? Right. So when I see Regina king's name missing. I'm like, it doesn't matter. I I'm still convinced is going to win the Oscar let alone get nominated. I am still convinced he's going to win. But I see John David Washington's name on here. And I'm like, oh, I feel like this cements like an Oscar nomination for him. Like that. You know, like he was already got the Golden Globe nomination. We are already like talking about that. But I was like this feels like that he's he's gonna get it. And that's really fun. I still feel John David Washington is maybe the most vulnerable in that list. And I don't know why. Because he's young and hasn't had like the breadth of career that allow the other best actor contenders have had because I do feel like Ethan Hawke is still hovering on the sidelines here. He didn't get a globe some nation, which we talked about not doesn't have a sag nomination, which is tough. But the huge critical over I reformed, I think we'll still push it somewhere. So I'm keeping an eye on him. But I'm with you Mike that I didn't necessarily see this. Let clansman research is coming because it came out in the summer, and it felt like people have stopped talking about it. But it's been really great to see does seem though that the other four are. Kind of locked in. Yeah. Do we think Christian bale? Bradley Cooper Rami Malik in Vigo Rami Malik locked in. I mean again, we keep underestimating Miami rhapsody. So we should stop. Very good at this movie. I mean, I'm just looking at the the critics choice awards nominations, which, you know, have seven people invest actor. They have hawk Ryan Gosling for I man and Willem Dafoe for attorneys gate, those three I think are kind of swings. But yeah, the other of four it's like that feels. Yeah. Right. I think I think that for for with any certainty. I think that we can probably bet that black Klansman's going to get a best picture nomination. And that I think Adam drivers for sure getting supporting actor nomination. Yeah. I think so too should be talking about like our surprise for Timothy shallow may couple of things. Just just a footnote, I don't wanna like, you know, kick dirt on anyone. But like this time last year, you know, like Timothy when we were talking about this. We were talking about how excited his people were for beautiful boy next year, and how they were going to run him in like leading like it was like a whole thing..

"Could do to help what has happened since then any progress for though not really jason kennedy's had started a he's a kepco casting director of imf yahya that's an inferior filler and he just as a concerned citizen and a colleague of everybody put out a created a generosity campaign to raise money for the defendants and he raised over thirty thousand dollars but it was being divided amongst eighteen people so it helps and you know it helped these people know they were supported but it just doesn't pay the bills there was a letter of support that he helped rally the troops and there was an open letter signed by over a hundred casting professional same we supported the fence and we thought with the city was doing to them was wrong and that helped them emotionally but it really didn't sway the city they've got their sites to get this done and what what can we do is there a website that we can go to what what well coast because i told so many people about it and so many people listening to that show but when they went to google and tried to find a website or find out more there was not a designated website is there anything that we can tell the people to do to help even if it is to help with the campaign financial the to suggestions i would have your they are sag members they should contact dunkin' crabtree ireland he's journal counsel for sag's cocaine and he stood at the press conference where the charges were announced and uh those that are pro workshop need to call his office and explain to him that sag needs to do a better job of publicly supporting casting professionals in the actress it wish to learn from them and then the other is call mike viewers office and won not only ask him why he's coming after us when there's really no evidence there the main thing they really need to do deadline dot com on december 15th published an.

"Yuli terms from reporter genuine mata was at the sag awards yesterday earlier today she told me about it it is amazing the fag after organizers of this year sag award took this opportunity in this moment in time in the culture for women for women in hollywood to make it an all female presenter sag awards and the result was really overwhelmingly positive power a full third of collective statement from beginning to end not just during the telecast what you saw in which people watching at home saw but being there on the ground it was celebrate tori and everybody was really happy to have sag after making the statements and it's also by the way the host this is the first time ever had a host as my understanding and it was woman it was kasindo who is delightful and i think she'd host more award shows really do you think that there is a future for her the oscars perhaps i think they shouldn't be i mean she certainly incredibly engage aging and is able to do that unique sing the all ords hollywood awards show host need to do which is poke fun at a hollywood to an audience that represents those jokes the other great things that i think that sag after did last night with their platform was to during the telecast mentioned this new code of conduct that they're developing to address sexual harassment in the industry and beyond and i think if you look at what the producers guild also did this week which is truly an eightpage document of guidelines for producers to ensure sexual harassment does not happen on their stuff during their productions i think we're seeing a lot of these industry groups and industry leaders really trying to make actionable movement forward practical concrete guidelines for how people in this industry can curb harassment and abuse.

"Guerrillas and and early screener campaigns in which isn't cheating i mean you know it's like do you do you need to do to get a nomination but but it does you know i was on the two years ago and i tweeted this uh that that only thirteen out of twenty sag nominees went on to oscar nominations that year just two years ago which is not a great percentage so there are real reasons for us to but to believe that there is a disparity between sag in the oscars yeah what do you think is anything that is telling about this crop of nominee nominees like is there anything i mean i know where we're now sort of thing like that we can't use these necessarily as a onetoone kinda predictor of the oscars but like is there anything you saw from this morning's list that was like you were like okay that means such and such for the oscars know there's always a danger in this kind of thing because like what i saw confirmed my pet theory which is mind you know um but but i've i've felt from pretty early in the season that it's an exceptionally widespread the group of top tier contenders that we're we're farther from being able to say movie x is the front runner for best picture than we have men in my memory of doing less but his it's not i don't even think you can say it's down to two i mean i felt like there were ten or twelve movies that were legitimate contenders for best picture nominations a month ago and i think the segment asians only confirmed that in that some movies that were looking more and more i mean to what was that we're looking more and more on the margins of that top ten or twelve mud bound and the big sick or two of the movies that this morning got unsolvable nominations um and some of the movies that we're looking very very central the post the shape of water combination connie by your name did not get ensemble nominations so i still think there are about twelve movies.

"Most the original cast his back in this they have john stamos' dave cooley a and um cuers name bob sag it back playing in the the show again which is interesting but it's also the show's thirtieth anniversary so i think that has um has a lot to do with it which is kind of interesting um i i i'm not gonna lie probably get a check it out i don't think it's can be very good but we'll check it out at my my fate the my thoughts of television today is is just not very good there's a lot of shows that i just don't find to be very entertaining anymore um uh we'll see how much i ended up continuing to watch that being said so then jumping into the fact that net flakes which this isn't really surprising uh has been kinda flailing as far as the the stock market's concern because there's more competition now um civil in addition to net flakes fx network is also going to have its own affects clawson add free on demand service for five ninety nine a month uh we have amazon prime and then we have in other cable packages that we have cbs all access which they're trying to pony up with the pay wall for star trek discovery which low hold they've discovered that discovery and this is kind of a segue here for all these different streaming services but i don't think it's a good idea to have all of these streaming services it works in some regards four.
