How the Biden-Harris ticket will impact the 2020 race

"Joe Biden's choice of Camilla Harris as his running mate is being met with excitement and hope from many women in and around Sacramento. KP CASE Joe Michaels joins us Live in studio with more Oh Bill Bynes decision to add California's junior senator to the 2020 Democratic ticket brings a smile to the face of the only woman currently sitting on Sacramento City Council Councilwoman Anjali Gash be calling the choice, exciting seeing yourself reflected in leaders. Is just so empowering, not just for young people, but for all people. Women have never seen themselves in the Oval Office. In the White House. Never so to see a woman actually get to vice president of the United States of America would tell women and girls everywhere that it is possible and it is possible in our lifetime. Kendra Montgomery Block of the Sierra Health Foundation, is pleased to finally see an African American woman chosen as the running mate of a major party's presidential candidate as a black woman, how we are constantly looked upon as the backbone of the entire country, and in doing so So making sure that you have not only just a seat at the table, but a voice at the table means a lot in our democracy, and Camilla represents that voice, not only for us before the people Montgomery Clark believes Harris will also serve as a rule model for young African American girls. You always want to be able to look at folks and say, Hey, that's a path that I could take two And now that's incredibly connected to black women, Indian women and two women of color that we can take this path that we can build strong families, built strong education connections and then be able to take on top leadership role in this country. Councilwoman Ashby says Harris is well prepared for the opportunity. This isn't choosing a woman for the sake of choosing a woman. He was a candidate for the presidency herself. She's been the senator for California. She's been attorney general. She's been a D E A. There's no doubt that she's qualified to do this job. Ashby understands the possibility that Harris could be polarizing and doesn't out W naysayers were choosing the next president and vice president, United States of America. We get to look at them through a critical leads, but we need to look at them through balanced lenses, and that is what the people of this country are asking for. So many ways through protests through support of candidates. The things that you're hearing is a nation that just wants equity in its decision making. They want to see women and men have equal opportunity they want to see people of every race have equal opportunity. When you look at American history, it's been a long time in coming. From the women's suffrage movement that ultimately gave women the right to vote 100 years ago this month of the civil rights movement aimed at ending racial discrimination to 2020 when an African American woman now stands as the running mate of a major party's presidential candidate,

Seattle Housing Levy money will go all in on homeless housing through 2021

"Hundreds of new support of homes available and they'll be ready. Faster. Details from Como's Ryan Harris, Seattle's housing director, says they'll be able to save money and speed up building of the 600 units of permanent supportive housing first by getting the permitted faster but also with a range of techniques, including building the six sites with peace is made in a factory. They can get them built in about eight months, but they have to find the most vulnerable people who need the support man. Mayor Jenny Durkan says. It'll be harder after the council's budget eliminated the navigation team. Unfortunately, it did cut the ability to do outrage to people experiencing homelessness, not just the ability to move in campus. That may be dangerous. With the budget that's been passed, Things will change and we'll have to assess what re sources are available in order to pay to build these homes By the end of next year, the city has moved up two years worth of money from it. Wall Street Reacts to Biden-Harris Ticket

"Today Joe Biden and Kamala Harris made their first appearance together as running mates for the Democratic presidential ticket. CARMELA. As you all know is smart. She's tough. She's experienced. She's a proven fighter for the backbone of this country. The middle class for all those who are struggling to get into the middle class. Connell. Knows how to govern. She knows how to make the hard calls. She's ready to do this job on day one. After the most competitive primary in history. The country received a resounding message that Joe was the person to lead US forward. and. Joe. I'm so proud to stand with you. And I do so mindful. Of all the ROIC ambitious women before me. Who sacrifice determination and resilience makes my presence here today even possible. This is a moment. Of Real consequence for America, Harris's pick is historic and has prompted reactions from around the World Harris's father is Jamaican. Her mother is from India. She's the first black woman and the first woman of South Asian ancestry on a major party presidential ticket in the US Also, Reacting Wall Street. Financial leaders were anxiously awaiting Joe Biden's pick for vice president, our tech money and politics reporter Emily Glaser has been speaking to many of them and joins me now. So Emily you bet on the phone with business leaders all day. How would you characterize their reaction? This leaders are generally really happy that Comma Harris was chosen as Biden's VP pick for a couple of reasons. But basically, they view her as a pragmatic person or realist who while she has been tough on big. Business in the past looks at the nuance issues and takes each thing at a time versus having a blanket approach as you know, the wealthiest bad or big businesses bad. We've seen president trump and his campaign try to paint Senator Harris as a radical left wing Pick Wall Street doesn't seem to see it that way. Definitely not a lot of what I. Heard from folks on the phone text messages emails. But that she's moderate, she sent her even though people don't like using those words that much anymore and that's similar to how they think about Biden and a lot of the reasons why think financial leaders are happy and pleased and cheering on this Harris pick is that she does represent a move away from. The. Far Left Progressive Part of the Democratic Party the part that Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders. Are In and so they're relieved that you know things like more financial regulation or really taking back see right now it's all about economic recovery and harassed and Biden have said they think big business is good if the economy recovers and business recovers, that's good for. Everybody. You know it's interesting because after Biden made his announcement yesterday, we heard Praise from people like Senator Warren and Senator Sanders. We know Senator Harris has pledged to be tough on big banks as California Attorney General. She pushed for a big settlement with banks for their role in the foreclosure crisis. What about her record makes Wall Street thinks she's a moderate. It's a great question look like you said, she's touted her tough on banks record. But when you actually break it down, what folks in the financial community are saying is that she's made no secret that there's wrongdoing she will prosecute her background as a prosecutor, but it's also important to keep in mind that her big bank settlement was very nuanced and she did claim a lot of credit for it got brought a lot to. The State of California but we had reported earlier last year that she wasn't always really doing as much of the substance of the negotiations and she was doing a lot that solidified. The Big Bank settlement is helping her record as a politician. So when I spoke with bankers and financial executives last night and today they were saying look she's GonNa take swings at us. We get that it's politics. We're not gonNA take it personally. When there's wrongdoing you know she says she's going to prosecute. We got that but she's not going to have a blanket approach as all banks are bad or all wealthy people are bad. What were some of her other policies on the campaign trail and what do they tell us about her stance toward the financial industry. Healthcare was a really big wine and let's not forget healthcare with the most important issue on the campaign trail. Now, in coronavirus times, it's shifted more to economic recovery. But Harris struggled with this event she failed to really clearly state what her plan was initially, and then once she did she basically said she would have a government run health care plan that would still allow for private insurers an even mentioned that she proposed taxing financial transactions to pay for that. Health care overhaul. So that's something that certainly is out there would really impact the financial sector. Another one that was really big was her so called three. I'm agenda in the beginning of the primary when she was on the trail, she often would attack president trump a lot but she changed strategies partway through an efforts to really appeal more to the every man, every woman and the middle class and mentioned things like gender pay equality breezing teacher salaries and things. Like that that she hoped would get her more voters. She's also being welcomed warmly from the tech world. What can you tell us about that? You know, let's not forget that Kamla Harris has been a politician California in the bay area for a while she was district attorney. She was Attorney General She's been California senator since two thousand sixteen she knows tech executives in Silicon Valley and his raise money from them for her races for a number of years she. Also, lives part time in southern. California with her husband Doug Hav who is an corporate entertainment lawyer. So she's got these deep ties to the media telecom tech and entertainment world folks that have fundraise for her for years. They know her they think she's tough but fair and are very excited and already planning fundraisers now that she's the VP pick, she's also shown that she can raise big bucks from Wall Street donors. How might that help the Biden campaign overall? I think it will help double down on a lot of the money that they need. I saw an invite for recent fundraiser that has the high amount at two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. This is big money we're talking about a lot of the Biden fundraisers in recent weeks have raised millions while Harris and Biden do overlap on a lot of donors whether from the financial tech media entertainment world, a lot of them have known. Harris. For a really long time supported her during the primary and may be willing to give even more money than they already have to the Biden campaign now that she's on the ticket.

"So let's just brush up real quick on the. Omega. League action that you and I have been casting. We actually only have one day left which makes me really sad for us for us. Yes. which Thursday the group still have more to go. Yeah. So we're right now we're casting the divine league. And then afterward done casting I believe the group stage for the big boys tier one teams begin. But the game have been a lot of fun. And I've enjoyed casting with you as usual. Centerman do you have anything to games that we've witnessed so far? I think there's been quite a lot of relatively one sided or one sided games. I think is quite big span in teams in quality of teams in these qualifiers in the immortal equal which recast earlier on There was definitely a pretty big difference another during the divinely the differences probably get an even bigger where some of the teams that may be just made were just short of getting into mortal now stomping in the divine league. So. Sarah, we'll see how it all plays out Of course, like you said, the the big immortal leak with the big teams starting August fourteenth and it will be covered from. Ukraine where quite a lot of time has flown in and gone through. Extensive Corona testing and everything to be there on site because obviously traveling internationally right now is really difficult but they've made it work. Ethic. Americans apparently because the talent American of shocked. Yeah. It's pretty it's pretty unusual So yet they found a way to make it work, which is impressive. So hats off as always to to the boys over at we play and epicenter who are working together on this as far as I'm aware. Nip Yeah should be should be cool like I said I think was last episode of the episode before once mortally starts on August fourteenth this might be the best tournament for the rest of the year. With the current global lookout it's hard to say if we're going to get an actual land for the rest of the year, maybe we will have one. but in terms of online, there are so many good teams in the Western. In the Western mortal division at least. the Asian tournament doesn't have. Or, the Asian turn is done. First of all is no way does not done nevermind his starts it's it's been running since August I but their playoffs are August seventeen to twenty seconds. So there's also going to be Asia's going by that. Some. The Western tournament is a stacked secret navy liquid. VP flight. Moon. EEG. G. IS PLAYING OG alliance, `Nigma. NRP and then the two qualifying teams, which we can now say qualified from the immoral qualify are five men who many will not know by name because it's a totally new stack, which is ace Chessy, Zubay, misery, and pilot die, and then Vikings Dot g g who most people know by. Now as the there's five men coaching in the immortals and divine there's five comrades not to be confused, of course, different team too early, which we cast yesterday, which includes the likes of exotic deer, which one name I did recognize and my personal favorite name divide. Lama. Might be the best name anyone in Doda right now I really like saying that name over and over. Games have been fun to cast I I'm GONNA kind of. I think I've said this before but it feels like I'm not playing as much Doda as of recently. Because there hasn't really been a pass that it's Kind. Of inspired confidence. Maybe that's not the right word is kind of like. I mean, have you even playing Doda as well? I believe a lot of world of warcraft. Tell me at least that's your excuse. Every time I invite you to play something. Sorry. Very busy but casting has it's still I find it really fun. I'm enjoying a lot. Even, Really Fox up my schedule

Brandon Taylor: Would Rather Be Alone, Thank You Very Much

"This is not the typical queer character that we're used to reading about. Yes he's black. He's a scientist but on top of that, he doesn't fit into the gay male stereotype usually presented of gay men being sex obsessed is that something that you want to push back on you know I mean I wouldn't say push back on because I think that that is like gay men sort of feeling free to express their sexuality or people in general being able to express their sexuality is really an important part of like. And feeling like you can. You can do that without being persecuted by the law. So it wouldn't say something that I wanted to push back on because I think it is an important part of your life but I was interested in sort of telling a story that feels closer to my own and trust in my own way of being in the world and I know many Queer people who? Are Not sort of sex centered and were Sachs's sort of a thing that exists but it's not sort of something that we're interested in pursuing necessarily, and so it felt important to me to sort of tell different kind of story. But I I don't really see it as being in opposition to those other kinds of stories i. think it's you know we're all part of the same party it's great. Knowing Gotcha. You've written before to about like your view on relationships and sex and I just think again comparing that like the history of literature and Hollywood like were sold this myth that if you're not in a relationship, then your life is not fulfilled. was that something big that you would get over absolutely ages ten to twenty, eight or something I was. Really relationship obsessed and I really really wanted relationship. But I thought that if I didn't have a relationship that I wasn't worthy of love and I wasn't a worthy person and I had all these myths many of the internalized from culture I. I will say and so it was really only like when I turned twenty twenty nine or is kind of like. Oh I really like myself like I like the human I. Am I am an interesting person i. don't need someone to desire me to feel worthy or fulfilled in coming to that place in my own life. Allowed me to sort of imagine you know characters who existed beyond the realm of like. They won't they will get involved in relationships, won't they? It became a much more interesting set of questions to me to sort of understand how a person exists in the world if I kind of set that relationship question aside. But it was really only after like working on my myself that I was even able to kind of see how you know becoming relationship obsessed. It's not that it's an unworthy thing, but it was just kind of like, oh, it's not the only thing that I can do my wife. And then just to clarify, are you not interested in a relationship ever or is nothing that you're like spending time pursuing? I, it's nothing that I didn't spending time pursuing. You know I had a boyfriend for the first time ever in two thousand eighteen and we were together for about a year and it was a really wonderful relationship and and you know it was a great. Like of my life and it was really wonderful. But I I sort of had this sort of growing awareness that I kind of just as good as that was, I think I craved solitude more and rather than letting that relationship get to a place where I was feeling resentful or where I was feeling like negative towards this person that I cared so much for like why not just call it good and be like you know this relationship was really beautiful and really wonderful. But I think I I would rather be by myself I like that more and so I don't feel the need to stay in this relationship if it's only going to become resentment you like it's only going to turn. Turn this great beautiful love into resentment I kind of left that relationship to sort of be alone to sort of thing, and and to be by myself and you know maybe I'll change my mind you know down the road, but I'm just trying to follow. What makes me happy because for a long time in my life I felt as though choosing my own happiness was not only not an option but was also a deeply selfish and really offline. So I'm just trying to unlearn a lot of this toxic west. From the culture and loud you open and talking about it just because I've been single for a long time like in terms of long-term relationships and I get the look of sometimes like what is wrong with you Yes I and I thought that for a long time you know like I felt that. But when I told some friends that I had broken up with my boyfriend to sort of be alone all my some of my friends were like, okay. But like why wasn't it good I was like It was wonderful but I like being by myself more and they're like I don't understand you boyfriend like I could tell that you know I had kind of stepped down in the world by choosing to be alone and I could tell because people started treating me differently you know what? I got a boyfriend people sort of like, ooh Oh, look at him. He's so globally and they treated me better when I had a boyfriend and when I. Chose to leave that relationship people's treat started treating me worse it. So I do think there is something very real to that idea that society likes people paired off and a single person disturbs.

"Let's rewind a bit and go too little too. When you were growing up because I think it's fair to say, isn't it? When you growing up, you get all these stereotypes sort of enforced on. You don't you. You tend to remember my mother trying to get to wear a skirt wants to wait because she said, that's what girls. Whether it was a big row over that but it was a similar things going on in your household was trying to push the binary on you in some way or my my dad more than my moment, which is weird because when I came out and she did not react well. But when I was little like that was absolutely no an issue we had addressing boggs and like my favorite thing in the dressing boggs was elected. ABC's leopard-print should neely. The Laurie. Today. And it had a goat trim round the neck, and then I think, yeah. HOW SPLIT IN IT? You know I think I'd say go it was a sleeveless dress with gold trim I mean tacky as hell. So Takeda's. But that was my favorite. Yeah absolutely. Follow I. Loved it. I. Felt it was you know this is yes. I love my life I. Always Been Dressing Up Anyway Kate and hasn't been a big deal but then I remember Ed once we have play room I. Mean we're so big class cry you play. So. I remember putting all these dresses on and then going in and feel like look I got all these silly clothes on on my dad's face was he was just like incandescent and just went very nice and. It was like seething. That was that I think the first time that I remember. Thinking Oh there's something wrong doing this you know dot doesn't like it but I don't know why my experience my father is he's very much generation of men were they weren't taught how to talk about their feelings or talk or express emotion in any other way than anger. At how old would you have been? Then I think I was about four five hours really. And then the you go I, guess you getting any attitude, the playground for not conforming to agendas wineries. Yet not conforming with definitely for me it wasn't such a thing at junior school lower. The thing like junior school that just didn't didn't seem factor into people's hey. So, you know Judy School for me. Actually it was a really happy time. I felt well-supported where the no case. But somehow they didn't seem to have that much of an impact on me Oh my thinking or any of that stuff. So every time at school are is singing in the choir. I was in the you know the little school show I was leading. Violin. Bali class. So I was just on cut fruit loop. Any moment are get. That's why I was kind of confused was. She reacted really badly when I came out, but she'd never kind of held me back from doing any of those things. You know if ever there was a little quaint okayed it with me. You know I was like the absolute stereotype epitome of Funky Little A. "Forget the nearness of God to be in that season when I was really wrestling and wondering if I'd ever come out of darkness and don't want to forget the nearness of God and so saying things like that reminds me that I can't take life for granted because I feel like we can all go through hard things you know. It doesn't have to be devastating things right. I mean there are devastating. Things that happen we lose our loved ones. We lose our children. We lose our homes and Finances and all that kind of stuff or we just have a hard kid right. You get worn down by children or worn down by work or worn down by family. Whatever it is God's with us in those things the further removed we are from being in the midst of a really hard things I feel like we can just kind of shift back to independence shift back to. I got this. Yeah I love Jesus but I may not need them every day. You don't need them to help me make school lunches in the morning or you know drive the kids to school or do laundry another time you know and I need to need him desperate to need him and I don't ever WanNa live not desperate for him again. Some of the ways that's played out for you or kind of funny. I mean they weren't funny at the time but you and I call it this you have like a flood demon. Oh we had a lot of water. But it wasn't like the same type of water different types of floods. It is different houses. I read it was weird. It was clean pipe water flooding. It was outdoor rainwater flooding and it was the Poopie water. Coming up out of the sewer flooding it was the same. It's not like you just have like a you're in a flood plain or something. I mean this is unique foot mill. We live top of the hill. Yeah so it's absolutely crazy. How many floods you've had. Some of them have resulted in you. Having to move out of your house and have it completely gutted gutted with young children into an apartment and I remember when you moved into the apartment we came and saw you pretty fast after that and I remember the you were like. Oh it's an adventure. This is fine Julie. Are you okay you were like I'm great? I've got no sorry. Let me get your great. Like it's like sheer like it's so sincere it is so again nearly whimsical. I'm great like and I think everybody listening is going. Gosh I get anxious about my kid getting into a school that I wanted to go to or I get anxious about what? I'm going to wear to a party like everybody. Listening is thinking I get anxious about small little things that really you know. You're sitting there having to move out of your house with young toddlers into an apartment and you are great talk about how this whole experience has shaped your view. Even small inconveniences. Which that's not one. That's not a small inconvenience but you talk a little bit like Paul. You've ads temporary when it's talking about like shipwrecks in big things you know. I think it's just the perspective of life and death. To be honest I know people get anxious about throwing kids birthday parties or getting all the errands run or you know every day life things whether it's traffic or school projects stress from work etc. Like I get that. But God's given me a perspective of like in the grand scheme of things. Those things are really little. So let's step back take a deep breath and it'll all work out and you have to do that. Still with the void. Let's time that was a dramatic wad. The flood was a little dramatic. I might have climbed up on a chair rigged on top box to try to save a few things in might have fallen off of that because I was like. Oh that's really important to lose that to water. You know I mean in those moments absolutely like. Yeah but I also spend thirty hours a week in a CARDIAC ICU holding Mommy's who just lost their children or prescribing medications in listening in assessing a child. And I show up the next day and they've passed away that evening. That helps bring perspective to my life to say you know what if I forget which I have. I have forgotten to make school lunches in dissent my kids off to school and I'll be like that might stress some people out now like he knew what the teachers are not going to let my kids go hungry if they need to buy school lunch that day. It'll all work out and I will somebody there. Five dollars per kids get them school lunches because my loss of short term memory doesn't pan out that day. You know what I mean so like. I don't know God has placed me in. He's given me personal history. He's placed me in my job for a reason. He's placed me in these situations where he keeps giving me perspective you know. And that's one of my prayers that I pray really often is that God. I WanNa see this world through the eyes that you see it when I surrender the Lord of the morning and you you know you say text scripture every day which is true. I haven't always done not but really in the last couple of God's word has become oxygen to my soul you know dislike. We have to have breath in our lungs to breathe in. Our heart needs electricity to be like I need God's word first thing in the morning so that I know who I am and what. My Life is in perspective to God's seeing this world and I don't WanNa be like scripture says the person that looks in the mirror and then turns away and forgets who they are. I have to look in the mirror. 'cause I know my son I know myself I will turn away from the mirror and I will forget who I am and I will turn back into the independent person that I was before I was humbled through a health illness. And so that's why I need God's Word.

"Can I just say by the way because we're talking about one thing. I want to say. Yeah you know still today the German I do watch porn. I just note the movie now so I don't WanNa see you know saying I I never watch more and I think that porn can be healthy. Of course is just like it's it's it's real. It's not real. It's not. That's not my I deal of. It's fantasy right right so how they knew you're right note. I'm telling you this is the problem in now at twelve. It's much boys at twelve. Oh so much. It wasn't like they had to find and someone who had some born now. It's literally just fun everywhere and then also what is going on with dating. Today I feel like all swept culture is it. I think dating Sarah Right handed. Yeah well when I was growing up You had to ask someone else and then I remember getting excited about it and watching my car and changing my A six disc. CD Changer and all the stuff right. So now it's lovely. It's literally Shuffling through baseball cards and lots of false advertising housing in the. There's this thing called ghosting and I think we're allowed to hide beyond our phone. So we're not able to actually exercise the muscle to be human and to communicate in like. Yeah no this. Is it exactly it we had to. I keep saying no. I can't believe this goes in the nineties. Early two thousand. You had to go up to someone and talk them. You had to kill your our own meat. A you had to go fishing. You had your net earn. It wasn't just. You sat at home watching Netflix. Chilin smoke in a bowl. No you had to go and the muscles are just atrophied. They're gone so the fear is all the kids growing up now. If they don't have those tools Howard day going to earn or build a relationship ship if they can't even write talking. Yes this is what they're finding someone while other Datas in the restroom our they gonna stay in a relationship and really look at themselves exactly so it. This is the thing and but they're like the telling them this well. I think what's happening now though is just not listening swell happening where I think a lot of people are now sick of this white culture her. And there's this thing called a self partner where people are like you know what I'm going to work myself and I think this is what's going to happen. I'm hoping it's what happens to get people to kind of look inward and go on their own so tell me what okay so. I hope that people are doing that because this whole journey of like it's sort of similar to what you were saying about. We feel like something's broken if for not dating so like well. It's almost like our duty on. The plan is to keep dating. Keep having sex but saying giving people permission it's okay to slow down and say what do I actually want. Who who am I in a row without a relationship I think our duty is to Be The best version of ourselves as possible and I think the the ripple of that is Saxon. All the great things that happened with sharing your life with someone else but I don't think that's the sun revolt. We revolve around. I think we need to kind of take the power back and go after our dreams and do we feel is honest to us and then if we happen to meet a partner now we're coming in as a whole person instead of trying to fill holes right like that whole thing like I need someone to complete. Please mute the full person before you. You know you're looking. I think when you were talking about how I was dating before. I definitely think I was like this person. Not The complete me but they they fill me up in a way that couldn't fill myself up stern Columbia measurement. And all of that stuff. Yeah right you don't do that anymore. So talk to you about some of the guys is what I love is that you see people who got or they come in and they do across fit session going to hike. I've done that. Yeah so I never had an office on purpose and so I started meaning people and coffee shops and on hikes. And I thought like if we're GonNa talk about life let's do life. We're talking and a call myself a coach because therapist. You're not supposed to do that so I'm kind the therapist that went rogue and still today. Just get on my Harley and I'll meet you at the coffee shop and I just show up jeans t-shirt and just shoot the shit you know I mean of course with exactly but I'm now more of a coach with the clinical background instead of A therapist that sits on the couch with these is exactly what I want. I I keep saying like I said I was joking. Share saying sweetest before new John Kamm. I've been saying should we just tell me to see a coach. 'CAUSE men are more likely to see a coach that is true because they they file coach under performance site right and then but you know what great then I'll be the Trojan horse. Let's talk about performance and then let's talk about your feelings. How do you read exactly the? How do you get in there? Like 'cause I I believe that for getting him in the door so if someone already comes in the door art emails your contacts you and they're like I'm ready for an appointment so they already to get in there and they can you give me. Is there like a typical or something that you've seen a lot of lately. Client that. Come see your patient or mullet because of social media they are kind of know who you are and I'm not for everyone right and and so when they meet me they've already been Vullo me for awhile or watching. My videos were whatever podcasting And so they know kind of what to expect so it's not a surprise to them and I don't. I've never seen before so I just show up. It's almost like a blind date. Show up for someone to approach me. I'm like okay right. Yeah and they sit in. And how does it start attenuate. You're here like if you're at a coffee shop or they comfortable yeah There are a lot more comfortable than you would think you know people cry but also had people just be allowed and it's almost like I take the approach like were friends and I fought like like last week. I did a couple session in the Park Echo Park and they brought a blanket and I was like this is amazing mazing Chilin and it was like a two hour couple session that we didn't perkins like this is like I don't I don't think it's for everyone but for me it's for me too. I think that's great. I was going to the park anyway. Might as well do therapy and I'm sure there's therapist listening to this thinking like I would never do that and then you shouldn't but other yeah exactly. That's why you're the angry therapist. ANGRY THERAPIST DOT COM. My question though is when they're sitting command comes to see her. The your first meeting but like I guess. I'm wondering about the process so I think thinking that it's all about performance to like. Oh I have feelings wha I feel stuff knows deep stuff you're blocking and I take a whole life approach and I always try to figure out what's happening underneath. Could never about what they came to see me for Zach right so they're coming to see me for one thing and then you realize there's all the stuff underneath give an example My my wife won't sleep with me. Okay great let's talk about that and then we start dig deeper and then there's patterns and turns out oh well because of because I cheated on her or because I one time told her this space or because I- steamroller or because I don't do the dishes I mean whatever it is excited In through that and I think I think with me and I don't know if it's because 'cause I work out or rider more cycle or or whatever it is I think they can relate to me because I don't have a shirt and tie and I'm not coming at them coming with them right so that's always been kind of great distinction. Yeah not like the experts in their time. Now let's have a conversation though. I also confess of my my default and I practised transparency on my. Just twelve seconds in and it's a glimpse of what will feel like one of the longest days of Payton's career in the second quarter already trailing fifteen nothing the legion of boom strikes again thing gets up West. In one of the most lopsided super bowls ever Payton has now fallen to one and two in the biggest game of the year as the confetti falls he walks around congratulating the Seattle players. He's putting on a good game face. He is crushed in between shakes his confetti flies past his face he wonders if he just blew his last shot at glory his body it can only take so much. He's mentally and physically drained but Payton knows he needs to have a little left in the tank if he ever wants to to catch Tom Brady in the race for rings. "Peyton. Manning is standing by himself at Miami OPA LOCKA Executive Airport on March. Sixth Two thousand twelve. It's a small facility used by superwealthy for their private jets. He's pacing looking at his phone reflective in anxious it's similar to the emotions. He wants felt standing outside outside the colts. GM's office before telling him if you don't pick me I'M GONNA kick your ass for the next fifteen years. Manning is at the airport because colts owner. Jim irsay is giving the legendary quarterback a ride back to Indianapolis on his private jet. Payton knows that it's going to be an emotional channel. Two and a half hour flight back to indy. So does her say peyton missed the entire two thousand eleven season just weeks after signing a long term contract extension manning collected twenty six million dollars that was due to him on his contract in year. One I say insisted on it without Peyton under senator though the season for the colts took on the theme of suck for luck in reference to the team losing enough in order to land the number one overall draft picks unlikely Andrew Luck. Luck is a can't miss quarterback prospect from Stanford who has a lot in common with manning luck a two time heisman finalists. Let's play never. Winter is also the son of a former. NFL quarterback he's also a natural leader and Ernest student of the Game Mo Scouts. GM's comes around the league. Consider luck to the best prospect since peyton manning with a lot of mixed emotions earth say has approved of the decision. Listen to select luck number one overall in the draft. Signaling the official end to the Manning era in Indianapolis and painting gets it. He knows this wasn't an easy decision for say. He was mere feet from the owner. When I say cried in the locker room after the team's final regular season game sensing even even then that they're incredible? Fourteen year ride was over. This is more than just business for Peyton and her say they feel like family to each other but they both know that everything is going to change as soon as they land the plane that they're now boarding as the plane takes off or say confirms what they both both know has to happen. Peyton will be released. They're taking luck as the colts. begrudgingly move on the timing makes sense. It's luck is a generational talent available to the colts with manning still a health uncertainty peyton. Smart he understands the predicament. He can't can't tell her. Say not to draft walk. He himself admires the kid and knows that franchise. QB's throw on trees earth say can't even bring himself himself to say the words. I'm letting you go. It's too emotional. But they both know they have to part ways Peyton tells him I understand understand Jim. It's not your decision my decision. It's just circumstances. The plane lands. Both men have tears in their eyes. They know tomorrow Gerald. They'll have to make the news public Payton's only relief is that he gets to express it in his own words the next day. He gets his chance. I've been a colt for almost all of my adult life but I guess in life and in sports we all know that nothing lasts forever times change circumstances change and that's the reality of playing in the NFL. I just a few words will have to say say a few words. I want to address to colts. Fans everywhere thank you very much from the bottom of my heart truly have enjoyed being your quarterback it could easily be confused for a retirement speech or a Eulogy Eulogy. But it's not. It's more like a graduation. Speech and Peyton Manning's next chapter is going to add a lot to his resume. Sports wars is brought to you in part by Zoom. Zoom didn't invent video conferencing. It's December twenty second two thousand thirteen in Houston Texas axis peyton. Manning is enjoying the most dominant season of his NFL career. This is his second year under center for the Denver Broncos and now he's taking taking aim at the record books Denver's general manager is another legendary quarterback John elway. He recruited Peyton to the Mile High City to get the Broncos over the hump and maybe expand elway's championship legacy elway was a bit skeptical about Manning's health but this season has quieted any doubts with a big road game. Today against the Texans Payton can eclipse five thousand passing yards in a single season for the first time in his brilliant career and he needs four touchdown passes to surpass Tom. Brady's NFL record for most season which Brady's set way back in two thousand and seven manning has been red hot all year with six separate four touchdown games just this season alone with under five minutes left in the game. He gets his chance to make history. Peyton froze Thomas. There Thomas with a touchdown and there's the record move over Tom Brady. That chair belongs to peyton manning this year the thirty seven year old Peyton manning sets the NFL single season in passing yardage record with five thousand. Four hundred seventy seven yards an absurd average of three hundred forty two yards a game. He also finished is the season. With a remarkable and record setting fifty five touchdown passes and more importantly. He's on a collision course to meet. Tom Brady and the Patriots in the playoffs with a legitimate chance to settle some scores for the whole manning family. It's an unseasonably warm winter day in Denver on January nineteenth two thousand fourteen the football gods and CBS executives have their dream scenario peyton manning and the broncos are hosting Tom Brady and the Patriots in the AFC championship. It's her the thirty-seven-year-old Payton has found the Fountain of Youth and Denver Somehow playing better football than he did before four neck surgeries. It's hard to believe at this point but it's been nine in years since Tom Brady last one super bowl two of his losses came against Eli Manning and now Payton wants in the family fund. This is the fifteenth. Fifteen matchup of their career. Brady is ten four and has a three game winning streak in the rivalry but today's championship. Game gives Peyton a chance to even the playoff record at two apiece. Though it off of was most people consider to be the greatest regular season performance by any quarterback in the history of the League manning and the broncos control the pace early Payton is carving up the New England secondary with precise passes all over the field. The shouts shouts of Omaha Omaha by number eighteen in Bronco. Orange are typically followed by another completion doc. Staff in the third quarter Peyton puts the game out of reach. Give any to study lights. The broncos take twenty to three lead but unlike other matchups in this rivalry there is no thrilling. Comeback Payton's Broncos coast have a suffocating defense and it keeps brady and the New England offense in check manning's Gaudy numbers in the regular season. Continue as he throws for over four hundred yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. Soon mercifully for the PATS. The game is over eight manning. The DENVER broncos are heading to super bowl forty eight to represent the American football conference and Tom Brady goes home. Peyton Beats Brady for for the second time in the postseason and will officially play in the Super Bowl for a third time in his career. He can become the first starting quarterback ever to win the Lombardi trophy with two separate.

"It's Sunday afternoon on February. Fifth Two Thousand Twelve Lucas Oil stadium in Indianapolis is packed with frenzied fans. Before the biggest game of the season. Kicks off the state of the art stadium. which opened in two thousand eight is known as the House? That Payton built. But Payton isn't suiting up today. He's watching the game from a luxury box. He sat out all season long as he continues to recover from a series of neck surgeries despite all the Rehab. He still wasn't right after going under the knife. Four Times along the way. The colts rewarded awarded him with a new ninety million dollar contract. Despite his future hanging in the balance for the first time in his career he was unable to start games. Yes he's extremely proud of his streak. Starting two hundred eight consecutive games two hundred twenty seven including playoffs both were the second most in league history after Brett Farr but with peyton streak snapped a new guy holds. The record is younger brother. Eli and today is Allies Day. Peyton is here an Indie two again. Watch Eli take on his biggest rival again. Tom Brady in the New England patriots in Super Bowl. Forty six it's a rematch from a few years ago turning the Tom Versus Payton rivalry into the brady versus. Manning's standings plural rivalry. Eli is warming up on the field. And he feels more confident and comfortable than he did when he and his giants upset the the pats four years earlier in this game another postseason hot streak has taken the younger manning out of the significant shadow cast by his superstar. Big Brother Peyton has been a big presence leading up to the game despite his frustration recovering from spinal fusion and missing the entire season. Peyton is is immensely proud of what his little brother accomplished and wants to help him beat Brady and the pats however he can. He made sure Eli was taken care of everywhere where he went in his adopted hometown of Indie and now Payton is with his famous family tonight to support your life box above feel just two days ago. Peyton got word that he's medically cleared to return to football. He still has a ways to go in his recovery especially as he tries to regain arm strength but his angst over his future has come down a bit. He now knows that he'll be back on the field competing for a ring soon. It also don't make it easier to focus his energy on rooting for his brother in his house. It's whatever you want to be. The Sequel Remax encore act to back to the future. It's super bowl next on N. B. C.. Even with all of his postseason successes Brady also it has to recent uncharacteristically bad playoff runs under his belt. He's been one and done twice since returning from his season ending. Two thousand eight knee surgery. Throwing going four combined interceptions those losses but Payton knows that Brady is confident in his ability to secure a fourth super bowl ring here tonight. Despite some early miscues Brady's pinpoint accurate passing. Has the Patriots moving the ball and in position to win the game in the third. Quarter it over. The Middle Getting Free Touchdown Brady completes. Twenty of his twenty three passes and a new England is up seventeen to nine with under four minutes. Left in the game you lie. Manning is on the sideline and calmly takes a drink of water. He in New York trail by two but from high above peyton consents and almost eerie calm in his little brother as he looks at the clock on the scoreboard. Most quarterbacks axe would see that as a countdown to execution at the hands of a killer. Tom Brady but Peyton knows that Eli sees it simply as a chance to build on his historic historic super bowl legacy the giants get the ball at their own twelve yard line. We'll go time unbelievable. It's GONNA come down to this. He like glances over at his wide. Receiver Teammate Mario. Manningham in the huddle we like gives him that. Look manning him knows is to be ready in the traffic on the side. It might not have been a once in a lifetime. Seismic impact of David tirees helmet catch from four years ago but the thirty eight yard tightrope grab moves the giants to midfield in a huge spot. Eli is now in a groom. You've completed three perfect passes in a row. It's hard to tell from his almost emotionless look alike contaced another title over Tom. Brady and the pats and Eli Manning what else can you say about this guy. Every time he gets in one all of these fourth quarter situations is incredible as the giants are deep and Patriots territory. The question becomes should they milk the the clock without scoring a touchdown and kick a field goal with no time left so brady doesn't have a chance to pull off a comeback. Or should they take the easy points from touchdown and let the defense handle the comeback kid with just over a minute. Left running back MoD Bradshaw takes the hand off and sees a huge hole. The Patriots are the leading him score to get one last chance with as much time left on the clock as possible. Bradshaw reluctantly falls into the end zone. "Its June. Two thousand eleven in Indianapolis Peyton. Manning is on the weight bench at his home doing something. He doesn't exactly love the bench press. He's doing multiple reps with lightweight. And it's putting a scowl on his face. Something feels off just last month. Payton had neck surgery three to repair a herniated disc. This workout is part of his Rehab. But it's not him. This whole process has thrown him off his routine and I'm taking them away from football. There have been many aches and pains in his long career. Plenty of heartbreaking losses to end seasons as well but this is the first time time he's ever felt like he can't even play the game he loves and to someone as obsessed with the game as he is. That's terrifying as the X.. Hails through another few reps on the bench. Payton is replaying in his mind. The colts last matchup against Tom Brady and the pats in November another loss. He's now four and eight against Brady. The record motivates him but more than anything. It pisses him off off as he adds a little more weight to the bench. He hears his phone chime. It's a text from who else but Brady. It's an innocent since seeming message. Hey man just checking in hope. You're getting better each day. These types of texts have been coming in regularly this off season from the Patriots. It's quarterback Peyton did the same when Brady was rehabbing in two thousand eight after all the number of people who can relate to the enormous expectations that come with all pro quarterback status is pretty small so the two. QB's confide in each other but Payton is always a little cautious in the back of his mind he wonders how much should he really share with his biggest rival. Peyton text back working on it. Man You got that. MVP this year. But I still got you there. You got me on rings though. These texts are like their chats on the field. They've joked about their dads. It's becoming friends over the years. Archie and Tom Senior had been breaking down their sons play together. Like two DADS on the sidelines of a Pop Warner Game Peyton and Brady have spent time together away from football as well playing golf meeting for dinners and texting like this regularly they talk quarterbacking and love breaking down the nuances of the game. They pick each other's brains peyton stretches between bench press reps he could. It used. Brady's take today. He knows what it's like to return to form after a major injury. Payton is now genuinely worried about his body holding up he. He knows that he's GonNa Miss Real time with this neck injury if he ever even makes it back. The Colts Front office is even more worried about Payton's health than he he is but they continue to work through negotiations for a new deal for the franchise. QB even during the off season lockout over collective bargaining that's now consumed assumed. The League Payton is appreciative of the way the team is handling colts. GM Bill Polian. WHO DRAFTED PEYTON number? One overall a decade earlier there has been particularly kind during the process navigating difficult conversations and private as peyton moves from the inclined to the decline bench sweating sweating through his rehab routine. He smiles about the latest conversation. He had with Polian yesterday the GM told him that he should one hundred percent beginning As much money as Tom Brady does but Payton isn't concerned with his already huge paycheck. He told Polian. figure out how I can make less than Brady Radian put together the best possible team around me more than anything. Peyton wants to win another Super Bowl in Indianapolis he grew up with money money and has earned millions more. What he wants now more than ever is rings and at least as many as Tom Brady has payton then winces? Is he towels off his face. He's dripping sweat. While his neck throbs with pain the phone dings again. Another message from Brady. Peyton reaches for it then hesitates and put some other weight on each side of the bar. No time for texts. He thinks it's time to put in work but after the set he can't help but to look at his phone. It reads hang in there. Buddy see you on the field in October Dude. What lies is ahead? These next few months for their relationship and for Payton's career. Nobody saw coming sports. Wars is brought to you by capital. "As the nineteen ninety. Nine season approaches in Ann Arbor Michigan. Tom Brady is walking to class through the center of Michigan's Michigan's campus. The diag somehow for reasons he truly can't believe he's again the underdog in a QB battle despite Brady being a senior and winning ten games last season and being voted captain by his teammates coach. Lloyd Carr is being coy about. Who will start week one at QB versus Notre Dame was our starting quarterback? What Times a game three thirty? You'll see. Even car claims that he's intent on playing the hot hand and using both Brady and drew Henson this season. But what the hell thinks Brady. We've tried this last year. I won games. I one out brady picks up his pace as he turns a corner at all. Rick's bookstore sees a copy of the local paper with Henson's face on on it. The now sophomore is still haunting him when he plays Brady is workmanlike. He knows that he keeps hearing that. Henson has the IT factor. Whatever that means his throws have more zip he can run but so what? He's not even fully committed to football. We keep hearing about the Damn Yankees with this guy thinks brady he's now basically sprinting through Ann. Arbor lost in his own. Thoughts is coach card. Just trying to fire me up. Does he actually actually think I'm not the guy or is there something else going on here. The college football media is enjoying the debate even if Brady hates it this. It's one director player. Personnel said. He understood why Michigan is continuing to try to get Hinson more and more opportunities to go out there and get experience because it's upside is so much higher. Bid Tom Tom Brady's and I said Yeah. But Brady's the guy with the experience he's the captain ten wins last year. He said Yeah but he doesn't play Hinson. He's got a problem because then hits it's GonNa go go play baseball. It's November thirteenth. Nineteen Ninety nine number. Sixteen Michigan is on the road in Happy Valley take on sixth ranked Penn State. Tom Brady and the wolverines are down ten with just nine minutes. Left and times are desperate. Somehow Tom Brady has a confident. Look in his eye since fighting for playing time back in September the team. Captain is now the unquestioned leader of this Michigan Team Drew Henson took a backseat as the season progressed as Brady prove to head coach Lloyd Carr that he was the clear best quarterback to leave Michigan. Him It's his team but he is still chippy about the doubters in and out of the program. Winning today against top ten teams seems like shut a lot of people up. He goes up and down the sidelines barking. We got this boys get open and I'll find you brady steps up and leaves at twelve play. Eighty one yard drive. He takes matters into his own hands or legs if need be it took steady. Brady's saved today with just under three minutes left Brady and the wolverines get the ball back. It's a chance to be like his hero Joe Montana and come through MC lunch. He's laser focused brady gets roofing the night they will be the field goal. Kicker an eleven eleven yard touchdown passed as leads. The wolverines by the upset of Penn State is huge for Brady finally. He isn't just the guy competing with drew Henson. He's his own man and he's got a nickname he loves. The Comeback Kid had his born men to spinach by Tom. Brady the most underrated college quarterback in the country. Tom Brady Guy. I want to fight for survival. Your sound bite. He not only had to fight the state of Michigan. He had to fight off a fee. Now has a baseball bonus contract in a a lot of people expected. The beat out. Tom Brady Radi was typing. It's made him a better quarterback.

"It's early April. Nineteen Ninety eight and Peyton. Manning is an Indianapolis ahead of the NFL draft. The colts have the number one pick and Peyton is positive. They should use it on him him. But he's having trouble getting an answer from the decision makers indy as he paces outside the office of the team's general manager Bill Polian. He's he's getting anxious angry even for months he's been fighting for the affection of Polian. The team owner Jim Earth. Say and the head coach Jim Mora. He's met let with each of them and has felt like he's made an impression but they won't commit to choosing him atop the draft and now it's eating at him. Peyton is sure he should be the number one pick. He's the no brainer safer smarter selection. He was a heisman. Finalists the son of an NFL fell legend. And he's proven his acumen an ability over and over. Meanwhile the other quarterback that the colts are considering is a fiery big big armed Washington State quarterback named Ryan Leaf Leaf is definitely a wild card and certainly not football royalty like manning but for reasons Peyton can't even fathom the entire sports world thinks it's a coin flip for the colts manning or leaf leaf or manning as peyton paces outside the GM's office. He practices under his breath. What he'll say when he goes in he first met Polian at the draft scouting scouting? Combine here in Indianapolis in February. Manning left an impression on Polian and the head coach Mora by coming prepared with a long list of questions in in his notebook. peyton thoughtfully asked about offensive scheme. Plans practice philosophy and organizational culture. They couldn't help but notice his thorough nature just a week ago. The good signs continued as Polian sent manning to Miami on a private plane to meet with owner. Jim irsay their conversation over lunch. At the Surf Club was comfortable but Payton was focused at one point. He locked eyes with Earth say and told him point blank. I'll win big for you. He could tell by the look on his face that his statement landed as he shook hands and left. So why can't these guys just make the right call. He thinks to himself colts employees stroll by doing a double take. It Payton surprised to see him just standing outside police office. He checks his watch gift from his Dad Archie and tries to look more at ease as he rehearses. What he'll say to Poland to close the deal Payton knows that Polian built the buffalo bills into Super Bowl contenders four straight years in the nineties? He knows that the GM has strong football mind and resume so peyton wants wants to be respectful. But also it's time to cut to the chase. He thinks the GM is relaxed but also professional when he finally invites Payton into his office. Office he tells the QB that he's leaning towards Payton but he can't promise anything just yet they'll let him know in the days leading up to the draft and that's it a few pleasantries and the meetings over as he stands up to leave. Manning takes deep breath and goes for it. He he looks at Polian Square in the eyes. Says if you pick me I guarantee you that we will win a championship. And we'll have a great program here. If you don't doc I'll come back and I'll kick your ass for the next fifteen years the first pick in the draft the Indianapolis Coll- select quarterback University of Tennessee. peyton manning peyton manning is officially an NFL L. quarterback just like his dad only with even greater expectations. He's been football royalty. Since Day One and has thrived on every level along the way but now his football life is about to get very real very quickly..

"Know how to look at this like i don't have enough context to know if what she's doing makes sense and says a protest or is just kind of weird and maybe she should just testify. Get over with yeah i. I think that this is a much a harder question than folks on either side want to admit so. Let me give the pro chelsea manning side. I the pro chelsea manning side begins. I think the strongest argument is not an argument at all in a legal sense but an argument in fairness fairness sense and it says barack obama commuted her sentence she has been court-martialed her debt to society a <hes> <hes> to whatever extent that it is has has been repaid and it seems not just weird but totally unfair that chelsea manning has been consistently in prison and julian assange isn't right and particularly the first count on on the indictment. <hes> you know carries a maximum five year prison term right that was so until the superseding indictment came out <hes> and after right zubin remember. Let's go back to the time line. Chelsea manning was held in contempt on may sixteenth. The superseding indictment against assange didn't come out until may twenty third right so at the time that the court issued this order chelsea manning was and very likely will serve eighteen months in jail bill and julian assange was only charged with a single count of conspiracy to commit computer intrusion which was going to carry probably probably zero jail time <hes> so that seems wrong right that that we shall see manning's motive is it. It's not like chelsea. Manning is like hey julian. Assange should have gotten worse. I don't know but but if you think about it it it. I think there is kind of even inherent unfairness in if what you want to do is make the best case possible against somebody that you think is guilty of a single criminal offence offence that carries minimal jail time the idea that you would jail collateral witness for way longer seems to at least to me offends my sense of proportionality right. That's kind of point one point. Two is a a and we we discussed this already chelsea. Manning the information to be gained to the grand jury is of appears to be of marginal value at this point and i i do not know what an i. It seems like kiss. She was in prison at the time. I cannot imagine how chelsea elsie manning would know of any relevant information between assange wikileaks and the russian efforts to hack the two thousand sixteen election right that she's not going to have valuable information on that so the only possible information that she could have that would come to bear on any pending grand jury investigation would be processed based stuff right would be maybe she. He knows specific things about how assange back channels his information right. Maybe she knows his habits and practices practices and that's what would be valuable to a grand jury again a lot of speculation here and and i think when you sort of wrap wrap that all up and and by the way that's how chelsea manning had to plead in in in her own motion to quash right her lawyer say the gr- injury defining feature is secrecy and the subject of this investigation has not been publicly disclosed now we have been told that they're interested in inconsistencies in her statements blah blah blah but but even chelsea manning herself and her lawyers do not know why the government wants her testimony and the government doesn't isn't half to tell her so right so there's a level of speculation so that's what you sort of put on the one hand is <hes> this this unfairness <hes>. It seems like it's politically motivated. It seems like gets in we know the superseding indictment was in connection with whistle blowing and and we don't want to go after people who expose the u._s..

"Only after an indictment was obtained council was informed explicitly that the government wishes to inquire into alleged inconsistencies between statements manning made to an informant in two thousand and nine and statements made at her court martial in two thousand thirteen and further that they were interested in enquiring into manning's activities during a certain time period prior to her twenty ten disclosures the matters which could be inquired into should as expected ms manning be called at trial as a witness either by the prosecution or the defense the government's sixties the power of the grand jury subpoenas to prepare for a trial witness and because ms manning has already given exhaustive testimony at her court martial and given the government it has access to thousands of pages of military forensic reports. It doesn't need her testimony. Quash the subpoena. Don't make her testify the court dan. That's sounds convincing to me but i don't and basically said look <hes> grand. Juries are entitled to a broad range range of of evidence. You know whatever the prosecutor wants to bring before them and if the prosecutor thinks that the <hes> reliability of manning's testimony is significant piece of information than they're entitled to that information and we want to hear you're the grand jury is entitled to hear from chelsea manning and she is therefore required to testify and so the specific order again this order order was then oh and i should add by the way the the court after ordering her <hes> to comply with the subpoena then held an oral argument. That transcript is sealed. I can't get access to it but the court's order has been unsealed right so parts of this have been unredacted parts of this have have been released <hes> the documents that are available like i said i'm going to link in the show notes on may sixteenth the court said in open open court it why not an open enclosed court in a in a in a closed courtroom <hes> but before the judge <hes> chelsea manning said that she was going to quote persist in the refusal to comply with this court order to testify and <hes> and the court said okay well. You've you've told us you're not going to comply <hes>. We don't think that you have just cause to to disobey the subpoena we want you to comply and so this court is going to hold you in civil contempt and here's the text of the order and again this will help make it make it make sense <hes> she is remanded to the custody of the attorney general that is to say she is in jail until such time as she purchase herself of contempt right pitches his which means this is before the grand jury old timey stuff like she's a witch or something kind of as well. That's what that so. That's language means to purchase off of contempt to do the thing that will bring you into compliance that makes you no longer in contempt so until she either testifies vice before the grand jury quote or for the life of the grand jury but in no event longer than eighteen months and of quote so again again if and when this grand jury concludes that will also terminate chelsea manning's stay in prison it will not terminate germinate this civil it will it will terminate the civil sanctions <hes> which i'm about to explain <hes> they will stop running but she is also being fined. She is being fined five hundred dollars a day for the first sixty days and two thousand dollars a day for everyday free day thereafter. That's pretty extensive it. I have seen civil contempt sanctions that are that high. I was involved in a case in which a witness who refused to show up for deposition <hes> was was <hes> held in civil contempt and was fined two thousand dollars a day <hes> until he showed up but <hes> but that's gonna start running <hes> it is not clear to me whether that will run retroactively to may sixteenth sixteenth or whether.

"Even though one year he did pass a forty nine hundred thirty three in twenty eleven. Ally manning the two Super Bowl titles he won. Did y'all know he never threw for three hundred yards and the game. Meanwhile, here's the biggest reason. I feel this way pertaining ally manning. Not being hall of fame. The New York Giants have missed the playoffs. Five of the last six years and seven of the last nine watch your head to that. Do no. They missed the playoffs. Five of the last six years or seven of the last night now understand questionable ofensive line. Sometimes off it's of line clearly a lack of a running game. I get all of that. But dammit, I repeat five times in the last six years as seven times in the last nine years, the postseason has taken place and Eli manning has been home watching it like the rest of us. That's not hall of fame y'all. That is not hall of fame and I don't care what anybody says is just the truth and something that needs to be said and essay about by the way applies to Philip rivers. I mean, when is this going to stop? When is enough going to be enough about Phil river? I know he can bowl. I stand that he's no scrub. But let's not act like he's the second coming to Dan Marino either. Philip rivers has made the playoffs once in the last eight years. One time in the last eight years. Are you kidding me? Y'all really wanna make this about? I mean, we really in his while I want you to look at it, are we really being fair to the guys who really are hall of famers. What are we going to do that. Are we really, really being fair to the guys that really all famous are we be fatal damn Reno. And by the way I wanted to biggest Dan Marino fans, you'll find. But you know why? Because that brother was a stud and he did what he did in spite of. Don shula. Now, granted tail under this career, his his numbers dipped and he's only completed fifty. Nine point, four percent of his passes. Playoff path that you consider some of the things that he's done come on now, but do you remember how offer those defenses were? Do you remember the fact that Don Shula never got him a defense or running game? Do you forget that only time Dan Marino had a run game when he had Chuck Muncie. It was him more cly in a mock super-duper. That's what it was. He had nothing else. Not a running game and no defense. And nobody would send whatever question the greatness of the great damn Reno. Allow manning, I got news for you, ladies and gentlemen when the giants won the Super Bowl. Is there anything about seventeen to fourteen scored a noxious socks off? Like in two thousand seven. That was Michael Strahan and Justin tuck in those boys. That's what that was putting a hat on, Tom Brady, getting into had them tap dancing and the puck and like the late great, Gregory odds, God rest his soul. You'd have thought it was an episode of taps. Talking about. Twenty eleven pretty much to say human. You're in the crew and JP and those boys. Giant's game twenty one seventeen. I never saw a lamenting looking like Tom Brady did in a loss, lash it or the Philadelphia Eagles way past for five hundred and five yards and three touchdowns without exception three different receivers. In ama- Dolan, HOGAN, and gronkowski all catcher for more than a hundred yards. Tom Brady didn't lose that danceable New England's defense loss that Dan Super Bowl. So somebody needs to help me. I really, really need help ally manning five of the last six years. Seven of the last night years. No appearances, Philip rivers. One player appearance in the last eight years and they hold the famous. 'cause somebody, please explain to me what a hall of famous. I'm I have a chance I might have a change. I mean, how would it if that's what I definition of a hall of famous. And I mean, no disrespect, no disrespect whatsoever. I'm not trying to disrespect ally off river. They can both play, and I know that football is not a one dimensional entity. You need help. But. You. So how awful Green Bay was without Amer Raja's that same Green Bay team with Aaron Rodgers was in the NFC championship game before. That's a whole fame. His value to that team is exponential where he's not in the equation..

"They have they have you i manning baker they could say okay we are in the position with you live where we could still make iran and if they go out there and free agency and they add andrew nor well dave gentleman draft this in starlifter kool aid who've dave gettleman drafted suddenly the shore up their lines and then you go to the draft you say i love it you know we can either take bradley child and and really set ourselves up for the longhaul on the defensive line rush and that's what they meant that a fan of doing since he's been know what do you think carolina he likes there's all these other defense alliance i think trump is the best player in the draft uh i have barkley is probably the number through player in the draft and you could be job and build on the defensive wind or go barkley and inject your offense with this running game i mean you saw maybe you saw the combine stuff some measurable a stronger david johnston yeah you know i i get the idea that you don't want to take a running back in the first round but barkley has superstar written all over him i wouldn't mind just the giants went in any of those directions i wouldn't mind if they traded down and i don't think it's off the table with all that they would take your quarterback because you're right they haven't picked in the top five i don't believe since they drafted philip rivers and trade is implementing a two thousand four of any this is not a position here in often in his a quarterback class that is loaded even though there are you know these guys have questions or you know there are four or five guys that are worthy of high picks and if you're new york you have to you know it's a weird it's a weird position because you do you know you want to try and win now but you also have to remember that if you miss on a if you don't take a quarterback and eli you know wraps it up and calls it.

"Right he's been i don't really want people's mouths he la manning of both over four thousand six of the last eight sees its that's a fact muslim you know clearly not alcohol let us com i said at the top i'm nasty but okay i got another argument let me ask you a question what quarterback do you no no run a game no offcuts of law no receivers to speak of succeed who has it the jenin the chart the giants have the number one defense rogers no no no because i want to hold their eleven if our leisure right although basically the same pretty much the same guys occurred now we know that russell wilson too well well we're at yeah go to i don't understand much of that did you or i love this impassioned defence like if i tell you in a vacuum still got to quarterback hasn't made the playoffs right five of the last six years that quarterback has had four losing seasons yet in the last six seasons there is that quarterbacks job in trouble the answers always yes yeah but that if you you know just go back a little bit further it's two super bowls but you're right yes that answer is is always yes always yes that jit his his job is in jeopardy but that's where you get into this thing with ally where it's the whole resume thing it's the totality the body of work i ever use super bowl super bowl mvp's i found fascinating to see the amount of passion and emotion i didn't know that he lamenting was this popular right in know that anybody would rushed to the defence of gyulai manning in this impassioned away that would create this argument between stephen a smith and damien.
