Prophetic Pastor Chris Reed's Message to Those Who Are Skeptical of Prophetic Ministry
"When we talk about the prophetic ministry again. I'm thinking of people who are skeptical of this skeptical of this. There are plenty people Christians who are adamantly opposed to this they would actually say this is counterfeit. They would say this is demonic What what do you. How do you respond to those people. Because obviously many spiritual experiences can be. Demonic can be counterfeit What do you say to people who think that all of these experiences are counterfeit and to be avoided. Well i would say two things first number one. I completely understand why anyone would be skeptical. I really do especially in the days of the technology and information available online. Those you know to some degree. Those things are available. I i understand why someone would feel skeptical number one number two when jesus would minister in the gospels. A lot of times after he would leave performing a miracle. Prophesying someone whatever might be changing their life. People would leave saying strange things happen here today. It actually recorded that way in the bible that people would say that and so when the religious mind affairs. See the scribes when they if they weren't accusing him of staging this. They were accusing him of it being demonic in origin and so you know any type of supernatural activity that we see biblical times or even after You know you hear about joan of arc in different people in in history that if it wasn't fake where they were trying to disprove it. It was of the devil and so i understand. Why but it's here's the thing in. This is what. I've said many times when people have these prophetic words that activates something in their life as an agent of change or they are demonstrably healed or things are shared to build their faith. That could not be known by internet research or could not be known by an investigator. Those are the things that convince vent people To to help them to understand that this has to be something to

Our Concealer and Corrector Recommendations for Those Pesky Dark Circles
"If you do have a predisposition to dark circles. no amount of selepe or borough is really going to help it. I have a girlfriend. she's great. She's absolutely stunning. Even if she has made a yoga retreat in bali fid ten years. She still has dachshund. It's just part of her heritage so she's always venting to me saying help. What can i do. And so the best line of defense is make up as we said skin k. Can't really do that much. Can cake is great for hydration and even for the circle pot but for the dot color pot. You really need to call on makeup so you wanna do a two step approach with geez color correct and then conceal so i you need to color corrector. And it's a bit of colossians really want to go opposite on the color wheel so we're trying to hide purple. So we weren't like peachy orange my favorite's the charlotte tilbury magic vanish. And the bobby brown correct on. They both really fantastic specifically formulated for doc because they come in various shades so if you very pale with dark circles or if you're very dock with dachshund goals you can get one to match your skin tone and what you do use a teeny tiny amount just on the real kind of inequality. And where the doc mris and then you blend out really carefully out to where the darkness kind of subsides. you don't use a lot like conceal. I use a tiny amount another one. That's really good is the max. Judy affixed conceal a pallets because they have a variety of shades. In the one pallet. So you can kind of get you ought on and get the right color happening there and then on top of the color corrector wants that stride or tacky then you want to conceal. I asked my lovely great girlfriend. And she's swayed by the east coast medics by under i conceal. So it's a full on heavy duty high coverage conceal but it's really jewelry and really hydrating because a lot of the heavy judy conceal as can be quite drying and then under the i. It's fine lines and show then you don't have any dogs articles but you've got wrinkles so she swears by that and she pops on on top of a color correct done. It's really effective and so it is a bit of a labor of love to hide dark circles. It's a daily thing. There's nothing that's really gonna fix it sort of long term but a color corrector really

Rosetta Stone Eruption Could Help Explain Solar Explosions
"Dramatic molly staged eruption on the sun as revealed new clues. That could upside is solved. Volcanos With Benefits: Lava Tubes, Hydro Thermal Vents & More
"The thing that volcanoes good for is to entertain you as they destroy vast landscapes on earth. Aside from that what are the good for. Oh let me count the ways. Now i do want to say. I don't like it when the volcanoes take people and buildings out while i was amused to see. Fisher's opening up people's backyards. It was amused in a. I really hope they have good insurance kind of way. So i'm a fan of like the power of our planet's geology of humanity. Oh just be clear. You're not a super villain you're merely fan of the marvels of nature. Okay exactly so so. Volcanoes iceland is really the place to look to find some of the coolest examples of what they can do. first of all they just add land. The nation of iceland is straddling the mid atlantic rift. It is getting torn in half. It is also on top of hotspot and over the millennia as the island nation gets torn in half. You don't actually see a gap forming because all the volkan ism. There is just filling it in now. The other side of this is there are islands all around the world at hawaiian islands or one of the most noticeable where you have a chain of islands that on one end is all dead volcanoes. That are well weathered over time and a great place to go live and then you have as you move down the chain you have younger younger islands that are more and more mountainous more and more active and these islands which are still growing for the active ones have amazing land to farm and if you want a nation to grow well. This is a different way to do it right. I mean a lot of the volcanic islands like the hawaiians that you mentioned even just across the pacific. There's tons of these of these islands. They provide stopping off point for birds. That are migrating various creatures and as you said the land around a volcano is incredibly fertile. We've known this. Back since the greeks and the romans keep settling on mount edna right

Let's just talk about how fun it was. How how how great this was just as as an vents. Yeah i mean we're suckers on this show for like a top five list. We could've done a top ten of the incidents in this match. And i don't think that we would have covered it. All the intensity was there. The usa mexico rivalry feels like it's back. It's been a while since we had a game that intense between these two teams. We've seen a lot of friendly's between them. Recently and frankly a lot of mexico dominance in the big games so aside from the intensity the turning point i mean there's so much narrative so much build up with this team. It felt like a lot of pay off. I know for a lot of fans but really everything in the game from the fast start incredible. Finish the heroics ethan horvath. I don't think there's a storyline that this game didn't have

"Scared straight where you like you like fourteen years old intervention in your out there on the yankees need an intervention you get thrown into the penitentiary the yankees the yankees gotta go get like throw them on rikers island for a weekend. We'll just take three. We'll take the break because none of them don't show up to detroit. Takes no them in rikers island. For the week it would have been the same result and we would have come out. We would have come out much different if you could pick one person to give the yankees and intervention. Be one player to give a one. Do they need an intervention. Did of intervention to they need because. I don't know that like this team would respond to a out. I don't know that this team needs to be chewed out. Because i don't know it's a level setting it's a it's a. It's a humbling moment in a sense that you're not. It's not a chewing out for doing something wrong. It's just you have done nothing. You have accomplished nothing. You are nothing your dog shit and somewhat where. Where would that mean the most right now. Coming from derek jeter. i'm his. He's a common. You want the yankees winning. Wants the marlins to win you. Ask me an isolated. I don't care who this person is right now or what they're doing but someone who has had success recently with the new york yankees who felt the love of the fans who has who has been showered by all the greatness from the fans and has done amazing things and as king of the city. You need a person like that to walk and it'd be like to. Do you know who off my uniform. You're embarrassing me. You're not acting like it's a privilege to where these pinstripes as garrett cole would refer to pressure is a privilege. I mean if there's a person on the team right now it's care cold light them up. It's tough to come. Well it's tough to come from a starting pitcher especially if that doesn't mean it's garrett cole it's different he's a he's he's he's the best pitcher in the league or derek. Jeeter ain't walking through that door so someone i'll just saying to motivate this team. I don't see it coming from aaron boone. Because he doesn't seem like a good motivator he seems like a he seems like a buddy buddy babysitter and when things are going. Well it's easy to give credit taryn boone. When the team hits three hundred home runs in a year but when the team faces a little adversity and you have to look to your manager for some guidance and some leadership. I don't think our balloons the guy in in season managerial change willie. Randolph willie randolph lights. A fire under this ass. Does he lights a fire under his ass. That's the guy that's the guy he's got the got the he's got the pedigree he's one of the best up. I was looking up. The defensive war yesterday was trying to be in a little up. Some you were struggling. And it took me an hour to look through the excel spreadsheet on baseball reference. And at one point. I was stuck on d. war all time and we'll randolph's top twenty five defensive war all time so i mean immediately off the bat we talk about why is going out there hitting fungus day we did we. Did we talk about why you were because clint frazier. Someone tweeted us. That clint frazier is one of the worst defensive out yet. Correct a great if look at defensive d war on baseball reference. He's like bottom third but he's up there in the back yet. Okay need someone. Let's wrap this up willie right off the baseball man. Let's wrap this up. I hope everyone has a pleasant memorial day. Maybe the yankees will win this afternoon and take some momentum into the rest of the before they face boston we will be back at you this week with an episode. I am going to be talking to chad jennings to get a little bit more information about the red sox surprising season so expect that episode on wednesday or thursday and then of course we will do our friday five. Are you done venting or do you have. Do you have one last five. This is become a therapy session. Where i just keep finding things to talk about to be honest but i didn't think i was gonna have this much to talk about. Thought it was gonna be just just a sad sad episode but it's me feel a little bit better yelling at the cloud. I don't feel like i'm old man yelling at the clouds. Maybe that's because then we're not yelling. Talk and yelling at the clouds feels that way. It's not me not me. Old men. Yelling at cloud is old men yelling at something that doesn't matter or that doesn't deserve his anger. This team is part of my anger is part of my anger towards the new wave of analytics in baseball in the way decisions are made and that stats where i feel like. I'm yelling a cloud. Although i feel like i'm very warranted because it's has it has diminish the product. I don't mind change. I don't i'd like change. I think changes. Fine if it's for the good of For for the progression of a sport progression of of of the game but in understanding that that technology will always be getting better and better and better and there will be new ways to do things great fine. We should adapt that that should happen. But when you go so far down a rabbit hole and you start making these changes that go so deep in development of the actual game. We're starting to see rear. Its ugly head and it's not. There's a long correction. That's a deep correction that that would be. I still think we're on the back to that type of that type of baseball where you see. Were spraying the ball. I still think we're on the downslope. Were not even back on the upslope. Towards here's the thing though. Here's the thing we said we're about done but when when you look at the talent this is this is where this is where things drive me nuts a little bit because the town. This team is there. It's there we've seen it. It's not like we haven't seen it and it's like we haven't seen these guys playing big moments because we have in two thousand and seventeen. They were backs against the wall. They were not so different. The two different walk into their beating cleveland. They're they're taking houston to the end. Like that was a good team. That was a good team. Two thousand seventeen. Who who is still on the team now from two thousand. Seventeen brett gardner and aaron judge and gary sanchez and Glare taurus thousand seventeen. He didn't come up until two thousand eighteen to is right. that's it one of those guys has completely disappeared. Gary sanchez yes. Okay so aaron. Judge is still here and still plan while brett. Carter's thirty eight years old. I know the construction of that team. They they started leaning into even when labor torres came did not look like the same player he has right now he was good then he was. He was a guy who had a different approach at the plate. Two thousand nine hundred thirty eight home runs two thousand seventeen. He looked like him. I'm sorry i know but two thousand seventeen or eighteen. God dammit he looks he looked more like an get a five like mine is the speed player and the defensive two thousand eighteen. He was had a better much better. Approach offensively cocky. Two thousand and the numbers got cocky with the nerds like. Oh yeah lead into this lean into this and it got him away from things that he that he was doing while he came up. And i think that's a big problem so therefore my point lies before i said this whole on was is that the talent in these players is there. This is this is really as it. Approach thing just the air. They're talented however. I don't know that the players that are on this roster are equipped to play it. Assamese game when i saw gleyber torres. Come up that. I did not see the same player i saw a guy that was on the path of progression towards being a much overall well rounded ofensive player and unfortunately we just have not seen that progression. We've seen him lean more into the power lesson to the Spraying the ball again going off. I test here. I'm not referring to any numbers but the approach is different and feels different. And i don't know where that went wrong or it didn't go wrong and this is exactly the way that they were supposed to go and it's just not working and i think that's.

"Fifth inning in the field when the last heir of the inning gleyber has that's one of the easiest ground balls i've ever seen. I feel that's one of the easiest ground balls i've ever seen clearly. He was mentally like f. He's no bentley week. He's a mentally and now he was where he was mentally he was gone. He was gone because of that ball. Ground ball came to him again. Simple ground ball. It was very easy. Ground ball he booted it booted booted. It couldn't get the handle goes back into the dugout and clearly visibly pissed off like frustration was very evident right there and it didn't end soon like he. He was mad for a while. And a part of me is like good. Okay like yes. I understand that you're gonna play badly at times. It's going to happen and you can have even horrible horrible horrible innings. That can happen as well. When i see the frustration being vented it does make me feel better. I will i will say this. It doesn't make me feel better about what happened. But it makes me feel better that the player actually has some internal accountability to a point at least in that moment where he was letting it out. Does it make you feel better when you see that. Maybe it would make me feel better. If it just doesn't keep happening with labor because gleyber started out terribly this season and then he gets criticized for not running hard down the first baseline and then he actually turns it around a little bit when he starts to get criticism but then slowly but surely he falls back into these lapses. So it's just a. It's just a cycle with this guy. isn't that maturity. Isn't that maturity to be able to knock it back into those cycles to have the fourth season. okay. I'm not saying that. There's there's no timetable on this. Some some guys find maturity in your one. Some guys find your seven. I don't know isn't that isn't that part of the maturation of a player is finding that extra consistent that whatever that consistency gears. Whatever that little thing is and says okay every day. I'm going to be at this at this level every single day. I'm gonna make sure that recalibrate and this level every single day that's a maturity thing to get to that point. You wanna talk about labor taurus guy who hit thirty eight home runs in two thousand and nineteen one hundred percent now. We know because of the juice baseball and then coming off a thirty eight home run season. He gets promoted to be the starting shortstop of the new york yankees. And what does he do. He comes into spring training. Twenty twenty out of shape surprising were. Yeah yeah that's that's unacceptable. General manager is the general manager had to say walk. Labor was a little out of shape. A who's the twenty four year old. John it's unglamorous for sure but like is there does that. Doesn't that lead you to believe that. There's a lack of a lack of leadership or control with the lack of organization. A lack of. He's he's a mentally weak player. He's tremendously talented player. But he's soft as puppy poo so whose whose job is to understand that and and to to identify and to get him in a better situations to sometimes you can't change their ability on a player for sure. I don't think he's. I don't think i don't think laboratories and see a guy that's like gone mentally and can't like to me that that dude when i when i seen everything i've seen from him off the field on the field like i feel like that next level is in him like that that level of greatness somewhere is there like he's got the ability to be a very very dominant player. If things are going. Well no. But i but i i've seen it where i think like whatever that tweak is whatever that little to me. There's a coaching thing that needs to happen. Someone coaching thing. Well the manager soft puppy too. So i think that's gonna get it from the manager. Gleyber torres is one of these players. They exist in all sports. They're so talented. That when things are going well they look like one of the best players on the planet and then the minute they face adversity they crumble. Alex rodriguez did this. He crumbled the moment he faced adversity. Gleyber torres the moment. He makes an error in an inning. He can't say the next. I want the next ground ball. Hit to me derek. Jeter was like this. He makes an error. He wants the next ball to him because he's going to feel it and throw it chest high first baseman. And he's gonna move on was gleyber torres do he doesn't want the ball hit to him. He wants to just get out of the inning and go hide and he sees that grumble hit to him. He's like oh crap oh crap. I booted it again. That's the difference between gleyber torres type player and a player who's not mentally weak. And you're saying that you don't think that that could be coached out of that's a maturation. I think it'll lease actually. I think it'll leave when things are going. Well it might be. Two weeks might be two months. It might be that is always be there. It'll always be there. So when adversity hits it'll be there and adversity has hit a few times gleyber torres and what happens he crumbles see i disagree. I think a mindset that could be they could be altered. I think it's an approach an approach. And how you how you identify certain situations and i think that's very actually very easy to fix its with consistency and just drilling in the correct things like. I think that that is something that should be coach out of him. I do believe that when you see a kid. That's dot talented. And if you're identifying these things those things should be coach out you should have. There should be triggers and routines and things that get you out of that cycle. They they pay a lot of money to mental coaches to sports coaches to to to Know top of the line. Everything in the yankees. This is something that should be able to be coached out of and something that along the maturation path of a player should should leave it. Should yeah at anything else. You wanna say. It's i think stomach a a macro level. It is so not fun to watch this team. Therefore moments there are fun moments. A lot of them around the pitcher's right now but. Yeah the offense the offense in general. I think that's where it stems to man it it goes. It boils back to the offense being so either Feast or famine and that style of baseball just doesn't play over a long period of time. It's fun in a moment. It's not fun in the in the long period of time it's again i said this earlier. It's a diminished product. And guess what. It was fun while the ball was flying out. But now the ball's not flying out and it's exposed for what it is and that's strikeouts and strengthen this sock there's games they fall behind two runs and i'm like. How is this team going to score. Three more runs to winning. When you don't see it happen a lot when when they were playing well two weeks ago week and a half ago. They were base hits. It weren't scoring but they were struggles. I go look at the runs. Were winning three two is. That's fine but i saw with my own two is that they better up at i saw with my own two is that they were stringing base hits together and they're running around the bay. I saw that. That didn't i didn't look at the numbers i adopted it happened. It happened to happen. There's two innings of there was an inning texas where they had five hits and then there was an inning against the white sox where they had four hits. Otherwise pretty bad. The approaches were felt different. Fine all right. Are you done now. Are we done now. They better find that shit again. Now yeah it's i don't whatever it is whatever it is that they need whatever it is they need. They need some humble. They need some fuck. They need some humbleness state. Some humble pie to walk in there and and someone just needs a rip them apart. They need to did like scared straight. This will have scared straight member like on..

Because i do believe there. Window is the next two years. Brian cashman should be out of a job. I don't know if he'll walk away or if how will make a decision but he should like it's gonna be. It's gonna be a massive failure if this team looking at seventeen through. Twenty three does not win a championship. If you go back to two thousand seventeen and look at the roster construction of two thousand seventeen again. I up lamentably not as good a lot more complementary complimentary. These were the comparisons that i was making at the time not to say that the skill level was the same but the makeup of the team was similar to the roster construction with similar to those mid nineties middle nineties teams again not the same. I'm not comparing them. Talent wise or caliber wise by any means. But when you look up in the construction of it there were a bunch of young guys. There were some sprinkled and veterans with very good presence guys that that that complemented themselves At the plate had different had different strengths. Different weaknesses. That's how you that's how you win a bug. That's how you sustain offense. That's how you sustain a team so when someone who tends to strike out more but as a big time producer when they're struggling you have other guys to be able to pick it up because you've you've you've accounted for that in the makeup of the player if you don't account for that in the makeup of the player and you're just adding a bunch of dudes a bunch of adam dunn's do you remember adam dunn being just like a sore thumb in the league for such a long time now everybody's a fucking adam dunn everybody. It's crazy adam. Adam dunn you could live with one atom done for forty homers in two hundred strikeouts. But now you've got that seven places in your up and down to forty runs talking about dismissing batting average. That's fine they go on there. They go on their pretentious rant of of why they're so much smarter than everybody else. Guess what when you're looking up and down and you have You're looking at production because productions that the root of a lot of these numbers right if they're producing over a set amount of time then they are deemed a good player that that is the large overwhelming like macro their version of the of the nerds if there's production at the end the numbers say production valuable player. Here's the problem you. You don't get that small Sample size and when the productions not there what happens when you take some of the whole run power out of it. Holy shit our these guys bad holy shit. Are they bad when you remove a few home runs from those from that data set when you move that data set a few home runs or a few power numbers from the data set. It's bad baseball. But you know what you can look at and still kind of get an eye test but look at that number batting average you can still look at batting average and and you can tell if that guys okay. Maybe there are some that say give you a high batting average and they got a little lucky right. They got a little lucky. That's fine so now. We have another staffer that to account for making sure that nobody gets away with being lucky and and but but what it does is it gives you that macro version of who that player kind of is you have a better idea of who they are. But now we're just so fucking specific on who they are in certain moments and what they look like at the end of the year at the end of whatever that data says and then we try to make data sample smaller and smaller and smaller. And we're making decisions based on it when at the end of the day now betting under two hundred and take holy shit but you turn around. All these numbers were like. Yeah there's such a good office such a good offense pam you throw in a little bit of a with a ball con drawn. All this money is down the tubes because frigging ball. It's crazy it's crazy. I'm going to pull up the box score from yesterday. And i was looking at this. I mean the lineup. Yes how many market corrections and how many league baseball has been tinkering with this game for the past six seven years too much. It's too much clearly. They're still doing it. They own rawlings. They own the baseball company. They're just they're just like there's a puppet frigging rob manfred rob manfred. Let the freaking astros off. The hook is playing with the with the strings. The puppeteer of this fucking game and we're seeing rob manfred. The guy who let off the hook for cheating play with this game and toy with it and change the rules and do all these things where it's pretty much been the same consistent game for a long time and now they're just messing with everything and when you start doing that what happens you you lose your baseline you lose your baseline you lose your core product. And now you don't even know now your nose land and larry difficult to get back to that. The last three years of data artist you basically have to throw them out like people throughout the steroid era because it's that wacky listen. Look at the saturday's lineup. To sixty three one eighty nine three two to sixty four one ninety one forty.

"All the time and now across the league the offensive down the leg up because even though home runs were up runs were not up so earned run. Average runs per game allowed was not up in baseball. It's just more of the runs being scored on the home run. But that doesn't mean now but that doesn't mean offense had the upper hand pitching still had the upper hand the last year. I'm more talking about the. The ratio of pitching will always have the upper hand. Well he's been very clear about that but when you look back and you're seeing the plate appearances where these hormones were going out there now resulting in strike outs. And i'm wondering why that's the case. Well i feel like. I've been doing this a lot lately. I've been referencing podcasts. Than i did with guests but e-e-e-e-no sars-like he talked about why it's not just that the baseball's not traveling as far that is a component of it pitchers are able to with the new baseball spin. The ball move the ball. Control the ball better than they ever have before and they have better technology now to improve doubts they do the my understand that i understand that. So is this. Is this them being just getting to that next level now and the batteries are just not able to keep up. Because we're we're we're all over the all over the offense and the guy and the batter's but but kind of what you're saying also it's not their fault. There's a little bit of this. There's a little bit in the back of of what you're saying is it's not their fault. But here's the and the equipment and all these things are completely against them so but when you when you put that into a forty five degree day in detroit is an excuse. Is that a valid excuse. But these these are the these this out there. I am not knowing. I'm gonna explain why. I don't agree with that because this group of players we've seen basically since two thousand eighteen. It's been the core of players. Judge gleyber sanchez stanton etc. That's the group of players that we expect to hit and who aren't hitting. I looked at very basic numbers. Home runs per game. Okay since two thousand and eighteen the yankees in two thousand eighteen. Hit one point six homers per game the league average one point two. That's twenty five percent better than league average in two thousand and nineteen the one point nine homers per game almost two homers per game. It's crazy the league average was one point four. That's twenty six percent better than league. Average twenty twenty shortened season the yankees hit one point six homers. The league one point three nine thousand nine percent better. Twenty twenty one. The yankees have hit one point. Two home runs per nine innings. The league one point two home runs per nine inning exactly league average which basically comes out to where are wrc pluses this season which is ninety six. A few percentage points below league average. The offense is average. Because the home run has been neutralized. It's not hard to figure out the team covered up so many offensive deficiencies since two thousand eighteen because they hit an ass load of home runs. Yes okay so we knew. They couldn't hit with runners in scoring position and they couldn't score runners from third base and they couldn't move runner than those deficiencies all showed themselves in the postseason against elite. Starting pitching an elite bullpen. We knew that but it was covered up in the regular season because they hit two home runs a game now. They're not so the market. So to be clear this is a market correction. And the and the way that you're saying is being done because the advance stats. Were there yesterday. Another year into all these events that's and they're getting better as the days. Go on but if what's the what's the other. What's the difference here. The ball is just the ball is the ball neutralized yankees because the whole neutralized other teams other teams are scored red sox underscored razor scoring then scoring. Then where's this going. Where link is vlad guerrero. Smoke in the ball all over the place but the yankees are not. Why because acted. Because i think the yankees the type of player in the rosser that brian cashman is constructed has very clear weakness and it's being exploited and when you when they can't hit home runs as easily that weakness becomes glaring and takes over their weaknesses. They don't put the bat on the ball so as a as a unit as a unit. And that's where some teams can get past their deficiencies with with particular players because they have complementary players that can do certain things and the players may come is supposed to be. He's hitting sixty okay. They're they're they're guy who has led the league in batting average last year and almost led the league the year before is hitting two sixty. Okay so do cast on this team only then. That can't explain whether you think it's voodoo or whether you think the players just simply aren't that good but that's bullshit right because that is why did you let me. Who is that good. I know he's that good. We've seen it with our own eyes for years. And he was that good. When he played in a different ballpark he won a batting title. Unfortunately and to hit hold on hold on to win a batting title. You have to go back to. It doesn't matter we're the frequent is or how hello travels as much of course. Field is the highest batting average ballpark in base. But my point is you still have to go back to ball you do. But it's much easier to get a hidden course field than anywhere else. Okay so now. Dj limit you was a product of course field again. No but dj lemay. This year is closer to his pre two thousand nineteen numbers then. Then what's the difference. I think it's a lot of different. Factors centered around the baseball and the fact that pitching is elite and the fact that the yankees can only win in one way. And that's by hitting home runs and when they don't hit home runs they don't score runs. We've known that score we've known that for years okay. So that's what it is. It's now harder to do the thing that they are only good at okay. So they built it. They built a team around a particular skill set. That is being as the years. Go on or an actually know if you look at the numbers that you just put up completely dropped off the face of the planet this year from twenty percent ish above your competition to all of a sudden. Now you're exactly zero and were acquire beyond a third of the way through the season. Yeah so then this. This brings me to We go through that first mailbag. This is a good opportunity to talk about that fired up. I'm going to I will Read it. I'm scrolling down josh l. Durkin longtime fan fairly new lesser josh. Thank you for listening. I appreciate it. The yankees starting rotation and bullpen is without question championship worthy. The corey. kluber is now out will maybe as as much which. I didn't know hinged on corey kluber. But that's kind of crazy as i might have been sent in before that news. I don't know as much talent on this team. It's been disappointing to watch a particular group. Make it so close fall short. I believe this team has two more seasons before it. Adjourns is the time for cashman and make a blockbuster trade this season and add a real attribution to this team kris. Bryant for example. I don't know about you guys. But i am tired of hearing about the luxury tax. There's a hole in the outfield. And honestly i don't think this team to win a world series with k the ks in parentheses here for fraser even though to see but it's a k. For clint if you get it and And that hot dog in a helmet playing centerfield. He's referring to break. owner dog. joke was necessary. You know what i'm saying. If the guy's ball okay. He's thirty eight years old thirty seven years old. Whatever he's he's not the problem here pulling up some soak bryant numbers sprint now. But josh's bring up a good point. I thought about this the other day when we're after they got swept by the tigers. When when you when you get swept by the detroit tigers as a new york yankees and you're in detroit and you're looking as a general manager of the team in the state of the team and the state of the fan base in the state of the organization and yeah..

"It's a holiday. And frankly i just don't really feel like talking about this garbage team for over an hour because what i watched this week in. Detroit is exactly what we saw in the first month of the season at thought it was finally behind him. I thought they had moved past it. Maybe the offense was still struggling but it was going to slowly get better but sloppy defence base running mistakes double-play balls absolutely no offense when they just need one run. It's it's exactly what we saw in. The first month of the season is what happened this weekend in detroit. Yeah there's execution against a bad team. I mean a bad team body league three team. Yeah when you're looking at what happened in detroit. It's it is embarrassing. There's a level of competence that is missing from this team in some in some in some situations and i don't quite understand it to be honest. It's not like it's not like we're watching a team that has bad talent right like we would. This would be acceptable. If it was flipped and i was watching the tigers and a tigers fan that would be frustrating but understandable because they're a bunch of players that will most likely struggle these players. well they may struggle on occasion. It's baseball still going to struggle. The consistent struggle up and down is absolutely infuriating. And when you see the struggles continue to reach the fundamental parts of baseball it becomes very very hard to watch to be honest very. I'm seeing this across social media. People are just all age ranges. it doesn't matter how long you've been a fan some forever some for more casual looking at the masses here. It's just a bad product. it really is. It's a bad product right now and when you see this team when they're hot okay. It's fun when they're had yes. Of course winning's fun. Winning is fun and for whatever reason they show up against the white sox you know one of the best offenses in baseball they show up and they they play very different and then all the white sox. The pitching showed up against the white sox. The offense is not showed up all season so they've had very small spurts stick sunday's game for example michael king starting who knows what to really expect out of that but he's not he doesn't look good and then in the ending was the third inning. They make three errors. They're down six. Nothing and i wish. I just shut it off then i should have shut it off and i think a lot of people shut it off because you knew they weren't coming back. They only scored seven runs or more in a game. Three times in the month of may so really wasn't going to happen with the way they were going. But if you did stay towards the end of that game you city bastard is gary sanchez. Run out of an inning in the eighth inning down by four runs. Because he's got his head up his ass and he's just running because no one's told them to stop so he's like oh i'm not going to look up and see where the ball is. I'm just gonna keep running runs into an out ends in inning. Maybe they could have had something going. And then the ninth inning bases loaded two outs. Aaron judge the only player who's having a respectable season the only player who has numbers that even resemble what they should strikes out looking with the bases loaded. I'm gonna i know that's what you've got to see if you get it's hard it's hard to. It's hard to say anything. Negative for me about judge because what you just said. He's the only guy that's like consistently showed up day in and day out and actually put up some some decent numbers here When you look up and down. I think i saw you tweet Someone was responding to clint frazier. Being you know a sub two hundred you. We don't wanna look at batting average. That's fine throwaway batting average. Okay but you can look at for optics y. Five five of the starting five of the starting lineup or or sub two hundred. I don't care if you if you value it as much anymore. It's the baseline stat. That's been used. Forever defy under two hundred is five more than half the lineup under two hundred unacceptable when batting average believable. It's it's something that we've never seen before we've never ever ever seen it before and these guys are getting paid a lot of money to primarily hit the ball. That's why they're getting paid. Money is to hit in its defense. It's not just that five out of the starting nine are under two hundred. It's that one of them. Is gary sanchez. So when he's not in the lineup. Piggy as an below two hundred and then mike ford. Who's been playing a lot and now we'll be playing even more because of loopholes. He's below two hundred as well so basically out of their top eleven plate appearances excluding aaron hicks at this point because he's not here anymore but he was also below two hundred out of their top. Eleven plate appearances. Seven of them are below two hundred. That's insane how do you. How do you insane. How do you have that on a roster. How do you have that. If you're expected to win a world series. Can i ask you a very very like baseline question here. I'm not even diving. Deep here is this. Is this a comp-. I know that the ball is the ball. The ball the ball but is this a market correction to the launch angle. Did the pitchers figure this shit out. And now we're seeing the other side of what launch angle the ugly side of launch angle. We all saw the good side of launch angle for awhile and the it seemed like the the hitter's batting they were. They were ahead. they had step up there. Guys were hitting the ball out of the park.

Crypto's Awful Weekend
"In the world crypto currencies. It really was anything but quiet a selloff that was still keeping. The market's attention on friday lengthened into the weekend with bitcoin around thirty two thousand five hundred ish on sunday ethereal itself saw its own coin fall to around nineteen over the same timeframe now since then things have gotten better with bitcoin rebounding to around thirty seven thousand five hundred and ether to around Two thousand three hundred fifty and keep in mind that you know you're going to hear this an hour after i vented coordinates if those numbers change. Don't bite me. It's just that's cryptos go anyways. Both coins remained far far below the all-time highs they set very recently a force. Bitcoin spiked sixty four thousand and either cracked about forty three hundred before losing more than half its value. So it's been rough you know it was a rough weekend. Why do we care well. We care because the crypto focus portion of the venture capital world is not getting smaller overtime. There's more and more capital into these companies. It seems and also kind of critically the number of companies both startup and mature in general the generate. At least some real news from bitcoin and the the broader crypto world is going up. That means we're talking about robin hood not just coin base and square not just blockchain dot com. That sort of thing. The increasing horizontal nece essentially fintech means that the number of companies with at least a toe in the crypto market is larger than ever and as we know that trading volumes in the crypto market to follow price changes seen such sharp declines is not good for more companies than you probably think now in response to what i just said. Coined based stock of is up. Three percent pre-market trading. So you know twenty twenty. one things. Don't make sense take everything the grain of salt

Determining the Age of Earths Continental Crust
"And you study claims its continental crust. First emerged some three point. Seven billion years ago. The findings presented at the european geological. Union's general assembly showed that the planet's light continental crust formed within the first nine hundred million years of the earth's existence. The continental crust is the layer of grew natick sedimentary amid them offic rocks which forms the continents in the areas of shallow seabed close to their shores is the continental shelves. It's list dance. The janik crust material and therefore floats on top of it unlike previous research which is based on strontium isotopes and marine cabinets which are usually either scarce or altered in rock more than three billion years old new study by scientists from the university of bergen looked at the mineral barrett which forms from sulfates emotion water mixing with barium from hydrothermal vents and thus holds an unchanging record aversion chemistry. Going back through time. The authors calculated the ratio of strontium isotopes in six different deposits of barrack from three different continents range in age from three pointed three point. Five billion years this allowed them to determine win with continental rock populated into the ocean and was incorporated into barrett the authors determined that the weathering started about three point seven billion years ago. That's around five hundred million years earlier than previously thought. The findings provide a new understanding of early ocean chemistry. As well as the onset of plate tectonics and even hope understanding the evolution of the biosphere because once process is like plate tectonics hope established the continents processes like erosion can begin to where the crucial minerals and nutrients into the ocean.

So when you press a button and you're only going at say you're going at ten frames a second when you press that button. It doesn't happen as quickly as you normally would. That's why people normally do first person shooters in like a hundred and twenty frames per second but at a really low graphic quality because it's about the speed of everything happening Which apparently if you play games in one hundred and twenty frames per second it just ruins games for you because you can never play a console again unless the newer ones Which is moving. Because even borderlands three got an update for his five xbox series x and it has a hundred and twenty frames per second mode and surprisingly enough. It has no. It doesn't have that mode. I don't think on series s or does it but it's just a really low resolution. I can't remember but either way. Ps five you can play borland's three at one hundred and twenty frames per second it. Just boop sit down to ten eighty p instead of four k which i mean you know pick your poison. What do you want. Do you want it to feel really quick and smooth or do you want it to look like super pretty..

"With Danielle vented in Petaluma so I do want to check with you Danielle you've got your power right yes we have power still here all right we'll tell me about the winds we heard they started picking up a little before five this morning but are you feeling them where you are I had a few gusts overnight but I just went outside and sings where I am in the valley right now are pretty calm but we do know that forecasted to change so what exactly have you been told to brace for in in Petaluma so in in the valley we're expecting winds of twenty to thirty miles per hour gusts from forty five to fifty five on the ridges in the hills in the area it's going to be the most of your there with winds speaking tonight at sixty to seventy miles per hour you know and across the region highest threat is going to be up here in the North Bay hills also the East Bay hills that's the the highest threat is late afternoon today early tomorrow in these conditions how do they compare to what we saw win the North Bay fires broke out two years ago the the devastating fires yeah they're very very similar I was on a call with the National Weather Service yesterday and one of their meteorologists said the conditions were almost exactly the same you know we know it's the same time of year we see this combination of strong dry winds and very low humidity try fuels all those conditions combine to result in catastrophic wildfires that we've seen in the past few years from a scientific perspective what role is climate change playing in this higher virus that we're seeing now what we know we're seeing hotter temperatures for longer both during the day and at night and the strides out grasses and brush faster and rain is becoming less predictable and as far as the winds to go the winds themselves does climate change play a role in how the winds blow no that's still an open question it's something scientists are really curious about and are actively looking into all right KQED science is Danielle Van ten we also heard earlier from.

"Began addressing a counterintelligence investigation. So the need for this memorandum, or whatever it is. In fact, seems far from apparent fall, appreciate you sticking around. Thank you very much. Thank you. Very much Anderson Cooper Anderson Cooper would be journalist and say, are you really the best person to criticize the president since you lied about serving in Vietnam? Are you since you committed stolen valor? Are you really the most credible democrat voice on that? That's what Anderson Cooper should say instead of thank you very much. Thank you so much for being here. I'm so glad you stuck around. Yeah. I love Blumenthal, Saint, whatever this is. He knows exactly what this. Is this is called accountability? This is what transparency is like. And this is what fighting back is like this is a president saying, all right? Another year. Malarkey you wanna play this, you want to dig in I let you have the Muller investigation. I did everything that I that I should have yet by vented. Yeah. Wanted to fire Muller. My lawyers told me not to fire Muller. So I didn't. Yes, I knew Komi was no good and a skunk. I got rid of him. I'm allowed to I cooperated I let thousands and thousands of documents turned over to the Muller team. No collusion whatsoever. That was your whole narrative, you said that my campaign conspired with the Russians to, to, to rig the election. He got sycophants and hacks. Like Chuck Todd constantly using the expression hacked the election, hacked the election. All right. Enough games. Nellis find out who did what in two thousand sixteen since you since you Democrats won't let this this go now we're going to go back to twenty sixteen and we're gonna find out just what Obama's administration literally did. And now you hear from people like Adam Schiff and Richard Blumenthal. They, they don't know whether to scratch their, their fannies or wind their watch or one their fans and scratch their watch because they are panicked. They know this is going to be bad. They know that the that the tide is turning. Wow. What a day what a day to celebrate true valor. And honor those who fought and died for our country. What a time to be alive. "Show that venting your anger. May not be the best way to get rid of it. Whether you're complaining about your boss, or you're just upset that April Fools day is just coming around again. And everybody's going to be lying on the internet. Just like they always do. And it's not even that big of a deal. Like why why do we celebrate this thing that day rules? First of all, no, it doesn't. Oh, we're gonna have so much to talk about this. So what are you venting? I think I might. Yes. Okay. So so you might feel like venting your anger like I do. But that might actually make you more angry to do see more worked upright. I'm a little worked up a two thousand seven study reviewed nearly five decades of anger expression research and based on the studies findings. Here's what the authors wrote, quote, psychological research has shown virtually no support for the beneficial effects of venting. And instead suggests that venting increases the likelihood of anger expression and its negative consequences, unquote. Ouch. And according to the research people who rent a lot get angry more often. A twenty thirteen study had similar findings. That study looked at people who like to vent online or send angry tweets to release their frustrations. And it found that people who read or write online rants are angrier or more unhappy after they do so fast forward to twenty seventeen. And a study found that people who complained about annoyances at work were more affected by those annoyances when participants in that study did not complain or escalate minor issues or stew over problems too much, those bad events didn't impact mood or work engagement. So when your boss, drives you to start punching walls, what should you do? You. Don't need to bottle it up necessarily experts suggest practical coping mechanisms like counting to ten going for a walk or taking some deep breaths or address the problem in a cooperative way rather than a hostile one. Here's what the author of that two thousand seven study. Jeffrey Lord told fast company, quote, what people fail to realize is that the anger would have dissipated had they not vented. Moreover. It would have dissipated more quickly had they not vented and tried to control their anger instead, unquote. Okay. So a won't go overboard on April Fools day. But on April first were doing some fun in this show. Yeah, we could do something fun. But I don't wanna fool people. We won't do that. See we address it in a cooperative way. Yeah. They're good. "Okay. So there's that. Vented work on you. And it didn't work on me. Have you gone and seen him once fan since I've I don't go to sporting events as a fan. I watch him play. Yes. I would. Okay. I actually would because they haven't yet. No. Because I've been covering I've covered them a few times. Tickets are expensive as hell. You can find him on step up for pretty cheap parking's worth. Let me ask you a question sorry to derail this. But let me ask you a fan question here. That's what we do on inside the huddle. So next weekend the New Orleans Saints. There are the number one seed NFC they play I think it's is it Sunday. Next sunday. Don't know. Anyway, they can either play one of three teams Philadelphia's sale or Dallas dependent on who wins. Right. This weekend who has a New Orleans Saints fan. Would you wanna see next weekend? Eagles. I'd like to see them. Take down the the reigning champion. The one team. I don't wanna see him face because I'm afraid to get a repeat of what happened. This year is the Dallas Cowboys defensive Galloway's was surprisingly. And I was surprised me because I expected a high scoring off, you know, output by the saints that game. But that defense was scary in that game. And just they they made drew Brees an entire offense looked dazzle. All right. So that's MRs Pak. Are we come back? We're going to talk a little chargers. Ravens.
