"And be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results. Danny love, what are you working on? So there's a lot happening in the world, especially with Ukraine and Russia and the conflict over there. Well, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, they got really candid about how they talk to their young children about really important events. Ryan, who shares daughters. James inez and Betty, with Blake Lively, he revealed kind of how they navigate the conversations with what's happening in the world. And he goes, we don't shy away from anything if they have questions. Anytime there's anything out there that's like a big news story, something that is epic and historic. I usually just say, do you have any questions about this? It also could be said, Ryan and Blake did pledge to match up to a $1 million in donations to the humanitarian charity UNHCR. I love this. I think that more parents should be willing to talk to their kids about really important things that are going. This is such a teaching moment in history. Yeah, let me say it this way. If you don't talk to your kids about this, somebody else will. So you probably should grab this one and help them through it a little bit more. When I was growing up, you could not really be gay where I came from and the family I was born into. There was not a lot of gay people around us at all. So I kept it as a secret, and I actually came out to a teacher, a teacher at school, and so that was my first moment. I really regret this. And I think my mom does too. My dad, my dad regrets it as well. I think they all wish, including me, that we had had an environment where we could talk about this stuff, and we just didn't. It was just something that I knew would not go over well. It was a tough environment as a working class kid my family did not know gay people. And so I think with your kids, talk to them. Even with Friends of mine, when we disagree about subjects, we talk, talk it through. I think in my life Donny, my biggest regrets have never come from what I have said, but actually have come from what I haven't said. No, I agree with that. I think about it as of recent, so my grandma passed away a few months ago from COVID and I always think I never answered the phone when she called. Or little things like that, I wish I would have talked to her more. There's just things that we have a chance to talk to people, talk to people and talk about real life subjects. Yeah, talk to people, talk to your kids, talk to your friends, talk to your family members, do it in a respectful way. I also think to children know a lot more than we think they know..

It's been a great night. We've seen a lot of stars here at The Shining veil event Courtney Cox Mira Sorvino. So right now we're going to send it back to you Justin and tell us what you got. I got a crush on you, Greg, can you hear that's what I got? Who doesn't? Do you guys believe in ghosts? Yes. I had a personal experience with one once, which is too long of a story, but yes. Me too. I didn't until this. Wow. What about you? I totally believe in him. And I've had my own experiences with them. I, yeah. They're there. We do a whole other show with these people. You know the ghosts don't like to come to my house because I have a rule. Yeah. If you got a haunted, you gotta pay for it. Give me half that ring. I like it. Have you ever gone anywhere where it's haunted? Yes, everywhere, but by the way, I sleep through it. I'm sure lucky. I used to. Knock on wood. Yeah. It's time for around of would you do it. Chelsea handler celebrated her 47th birthday butt ass naked. She shared this video of herself skiing topless. Would you do it? Absolutely, I would do it. I totally would. Because to me, this isn't about, you know, and I'm whatever ten years older than her. This isn't about look at me or look at my body or anything. To me, this is about, I'm free to be me. And I accept everything about myself and I enjoy everything about myself and this is as free as I can be. And I love that spirit and that's what this is to me, so I would do it. But I'm not sure anybody would want to see it. I don't know that I would shoot a video of it. I think people would line up to see it. Get you an only fans. But let me ask you this question. Would you have done this at 37? Did you feel that free and that empowered at 37? I personally probably didn't. Like I think it's taken me this long to get to a point where I don't really care as much about what other people think. You know what I mean? And I sort of understand what do I really enjoy who am I really? What's fun for me, like that sort of selfish anger. Yeah. I love you, Terry. Oh my God. There's so much more for that. Yeah, I never say no to a streaking event. I actually never have. I probably should have when I was younger and even at my age, but I would so do that. It's so interesting. Yeah. Because to me, I never do streaking or anything to be like, look at me and all this stuff. It's purely out of fun, lost in the moment, free spirits. So I like that. That's great. This is a kind of moment that I always look at things like on your deathbed on your deathbed will you be sorry you did such and such and such. This is not, this is you will never be sorry on your deathbed that you had this experience. No, but look at the lady body. Like, the female body is pretty everybody wants to see a brass. You wouldn't do it? No. Have you seen like, if you really look at what's going on down there? And I appreciate that. Like, what's going on down there? But it is not pretty. But it's comedy. Yeah, yes. In the cold. It would be comedy in the cold. A lot of laughs. It's the best for breast, by the way. I think, especially older breasts that are real. You know, it makes them a little bit firmer and a little bit taller. I think ground ice pack before the show. Yes, absolutely. That's why you see me backstage with ice on my nipples. I love can you say, oh, beats from you. Coming up. Usher is dropping some major confessions. You will not believe his secret crush and his first celeb crick kiss. I'm done with this drink. That is. Yeah. Get it more. Give it more. I want the moonwalk. He is dancing on the tightrope. Oh, hi up in the air. Okay, I have no I said I was gonna get rid of this drink and I will. That would make you want me to light it on fire? No, I don't want any fire anywhere near. Nikki, I just have to ask you this. What is the insurance cost on this show? You know, Travis kept asking Simon that, like, all season long. He's like, I just need to know. Like, what's the insurance? 'cause everything we are seeing, but again, and I don't know if it's cut because I come from an extreme sport, like you just, you sign up for this, right? We sign up for the life or death, like it's just, it's in us. We're born with an adrenaline rush. And when I go out to that room, it's like the only thing Terry and I do extreme is couponing. Yeah. "Can you believe they did all this? When it comes to Ryan Reynolds, I believe he can do anything. He speaks so quickly, so he was like, go get the cameras. Go get this. Go get that. Let's do this. We're going to shoot it in. As we know, he actually did a voice-over in the ad talking about how biking actually is very healthy for you, cycling. It helps your heart, strengthen your muscles, and we all know this is true. But can we pull up a cup of tea about and just like that? So miss Dee tried to keep herself in the dark because she wanted to be surprised. I know I'm a reporter, but I was like, do not tell me the storyline tell me about the clothes and the shooting but not what happens. So I'm sitting there drinking my cup of tea and mister big does of a heart attack. My Friends are split. I have to say. Some of them are loving the direction the show is going in this opens up a whole world for carrying a date in her 50s, but some people are like, why would you kill mister big we've waited so long? I think what's interesting too is that did peloton know about this. This is product placement, so this is product placement. They knew their bike was going to be insects and the city. They didn't know mister big was going to die after getting off his bike. Now, as a member of the thickness community that you are missing, I'm certainly not. Where is the fitness community on this because I think to imply that you die because you do exercise is not a good message. Yeah, it was a weird kind of placement. I'm not sure if peloton gave permission to use the bike that this was the way you should use it. And we do know that exercise actually makes you healthier. I'm sure there has been a case where somebody has stopped working out and passed out I actually have that happen at the gym once a guy finished his workout and actually had a heart attack right in the lobby. So it's not impossible, but somehow it juxtaposing it with peloton, not the smartest move, and what's very interesting is this is the second time HBO has had one of its original shows. Use a trademark and not really check with the people. So we're talking about alpha Kappa alpha sorority, which was an insecure, one of the characters was a member of alpha Kappa alpha sorority wearing paraphernalia, but they didn't ask the sorority for permission. So I'm not sure what HBO Max is doing right now. Maybe they know that it will create some controversy. Everybody's talking about pellets. Everybody's talking about it. Actually, one of my sources I'm working on a story today told me the reason this commercial happened so quickly was not just because Ryan Reynolds is a genius and made it happen fast, but also to HBO gave their permission. They were fine with this commercial because they do not want to get sued. Always makes it go away. Very, very quickly. And then more Sex and the City news Kristen Davis is saying that she's very angry about the comments about her age, so she spoke to The Sunday Times and she addressed all the attention she's getting Sarah Jessica's getting Cynthia Nixon is getting about reprising the original roles that they played in their third is clearly now. They're in their 50s and Kristen Davis is really angry about this. She said, everybody wants to comment pro or neo whatever on her hair, our faces, and she said it makes her really, really angry. She said that people grow older and they're hurling all these bombs at her and it makes her really, really angry. She said the following quote, wouldn't you hit 40, you and everyone else? Everyone up to Betty White, and I say Betty White because she's turning her a hundred next year. We are all in the same group. Hollywood has a horrible habit of putting women particularly after the age of 30 into this group that doesn't exist anymore. So even if you are a naughty, the reboot of sex in the city I think it's really important that we have stories out there of everybody whatever age. What do you think Mysterio? Well, I'm loving it. I want to see what happened to these women after 30. And it's a different type of lifestyle. They're married now. They have families. And first of all, they look fantastic. They're clothes are amazing. The city looks great. So even if you're just watching, if you don't like the storylines, because they're a little hard to handle at this moment. Watch for the clothes, watch for the cameos, watch for the city, the three seas, I say. And you know what? Kristin Davis, you look fantastic. Fine. They are jealous of you and that's why they're saying those things. Quickly, before we go to break, what's going on with Jesse Smollett? Oh, well, Terrence Howard, who played his father on empire, has actually come out to speak about the verdict in the case. So the empire actor has basically said that we know that Jussie Smollett was found guilty on 5 out of the 6 charges at his hate crime hoax trial. So this is what Terence had to say. It's interesting. It's an uncomfortable question because anyone that's aware of the show or my relationship with Jesse means empire would know that Jesse is for 6 years. He was my son. Wow. So Terence went on to note that there's still a lot of love between him and Jesse, explaining that his family loves Jesse and, quote, I love Jesse. Now, even with that being the case, terrance is making it very clear to know that he respects the jury's decision and feels that the fans of the show and of him and of justice as well should respect what was made. So this is very interesting. Of course, he's going to support him, but you have to listen to the law and the law decided that Jesse is guilty. Yeah, this has happened to me not to this extreme, but friends have really let themselves stand me down. Everybody else Dan. I can acknowledge that I still love you even if you did a bad thing. What I can't do is acknowledge I love you and pretend the bad thing did not happen. So I've had friends even quite famous people who have really, really messed up. I've done something just awful, horrible, and it really is something that goes against who I am. I can forgive them. And I can still be Friends with you and I can still be loyal to you. But my idea of loyalty is telling the truth. I will say to you, you shouldn't have done it. And what you did was awful, and it really made me mad, but I still love you. Does that make sense? It does. It definitely does. I know that sometimes in those cases, I have to take a step back because I'm still trying to figure out why they did what they did. And so I do myself, take a step back and once I've processed all the information, I'll still be there for you, but I know in the past I have taken a step back. I hear you mistake. Hey, we're going to take a quick step back and a little break ourselves and we will be right back. Did you know 40% of deaths from leading causes are preventable? It was so fulfilling and there was so many great relationships and it was seamless and You know jason. And i That's where we that's where. I met my little angel. I fluttered into my line. Jason and It's been a lifelong. Yeah arrested i love. You will will love you. I love you right. you're great. Was it two girls and a guy to guys two girls. Oh my gosh show this show this show. This show sean. Just did it go ahead. Oh god i love. I love doing a sick. I love two guys a girl. I remember i kind of like worked with this guy. Named danny jacobson who was the producer writer and and i remember. He came out and yelled at me one day. 'cause i i was kinda holding back. I don't know if you can relate to this but it was You know i. I was very canadian on stage. I was very like oh be sure. I'm not too much. I'll give these other. I wanna make sure everyone has their moment you know. And he came out and said swiftly. Hey man fucking take the stage you take the stage take it. it's yours. It doesn't diminish anybody else's performance. Just fucking go out there and give your all and and it really stuck with me. Take the stage take the stage. I still think about that. But i would say that. Most of filling. John was probably deadpool. Wanted to just because like almost killed me. I mean it was like a you know chewing and blowing bubbles with every aspect of it and remember you talking about that years earlier and wanting to really be respectful and deliberate about. How and when you you do that you know when you know. It's just like being involved in the guts of big movie wasn't a we shot it on nothing but it was still from the outside. It seems like that was a that was a part in a movie and the thing that really was probably shifted. Everything for you. I can see how it was huge. Obviously that genre to bite. He wasn't just a huge hit. You were really good in it. It was really funny at used. Everything that you're good at and look you mentioned. You're from vancouver. Do you still do you. Consider yourself canadian vancouver time i really to counts so british columbia council despite this tricky country name on. Yes it's Are you joking but do you are you. Do you still feel connected to your canadian roots. I've really do because they feel like canada's like one of my parents away top laugh at myself. It taught me to really kind of you. Never take my one of the lines. Van wilder. don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out alive but what does that. What does that will you tell the story about. The lobsters It's it's a. It's a tricky. Spot is again until when tina was said the canadian lobster fishermen and the american lobster fishermen walking down the road and one. The american says are you. You've got A you don't have a lid on your lobster pot there by. Aren't you worried about your lobsters. Getting out in the canadian says these year canadian lobsters one tries to get out the other ones. Pull him back down in canada. I caught the new accent there. The other nuclear dang sir. By i think i have to apologize to the people that prince edward arlington made a joke on colbert and i just want them know they're loved And we really love you on the piano for listeners Task podcast what we didn't know in shut up. We don't follow what you say. Dude you know. Ryan you and i on a tour of candidates just like a just like a coming home to her just like a parade. Let's get in the car. Let's get in shawn's toyota corolla get before my nissan sentra takes over. Let's do it. Let's do a tour of canada and it just a victory lap insurance going up there. You guys the podcast. We're doing the tour up there. Yeah more about this fucking show then you three. I know you do. Bob bennett work in the shit behind the scenes. Like knowing specimen ryan reynolds. You are a man amiss. Your apprentice and i can't thank you enough for doing this love you love. You like crazy love yes to has been this is this is a no for me. It's been awesome having you. Thank you ryan. You're the best. Thanks guys and i never say that. Now you don't doesn't Thanks for all right pal. Nice guys i have a great rest of the day. It will buy right guys god. I really liked that reiner. I really all you. Canadians are so nice. Why that when does it get dark is going to be like a series of September through april see gets real dark that coincide with hockey season or the opposite. Why wasn't for hockey. Forget it it It does get dark up there in the north but the flipside is gets really liked. It does seem though like every because i. I don't know canada like you do. Obviously but it does seem like everybody that is in the business of show is always so grateful and upbeat and kind. There's no entitlement Which is why. We're so excited. I was talking to sean. And i we were. We were talking to andrew martin the other day. You know who's who lived in canada for a long time and she's actually american The brilliant andrew morton. And i was saying that like you know growing up in canada moved down here because i knew that there was so much more opportunity down. Here is the same reason. I'm sure that ryan did like you. Can there's only so much that you can do sort of and is such an amazing place. I knew so many so many funny talented incredible people who are from candidate who moved here. Because it's just there's just more bigger and won't people in you get down here and you're like i don't know i guess you just kind of appreciate that like that. You get to do this. I'm a kid from toronto. As much as i sort of joke. I'm just a guy grew up in toronto. I have no show biz connections but let me ask you something because when you came down and when when you guys come down to this country because on the outside for me it always seems like well because we live here. i'll just kind of like a turbulent atmosphere that is now in the country that did divide us turn on the news and all this stuff is happening and it seems like from the outside. Canada doesn't have them sure you do but on the outset of kansas up everybody's upbeat happy. I know there are a lot of issues of course anywhere you go. There are issues that are sort of germane to whatever place you go to in canada. Has its own issues as well but there is a sense of like you know. I don't know if it's the kind of a hangover from the sort of the english commonwealth thing which is just kind of Keep calm and carry on idea just like yeah shit happens and you just kind of keep going and you and you just don't. It's one of the things that i love slash Sort of push back against which is like. Don't take yourself too seriously. Yeah keep it. in perspective. Guy and ryan embodies that rhyme by embodies all that is jason frozen or is he asleep. Oh it looks like this fucking conversation is just putting me to sleep. Are we talking about still on canada. Holy shit i. I asked the question because ryan seems to embody everything that saying ryan quitting right guys. We're supposed to be wrapping up the ryan episode..

"Why john hinged mouth is so wide open out ryan. Where do you see you so now. You've got these three kids got all this stuff. You're meditating you're you're becoming a complete person. You're obviously drinking gin all day. Yona booze company married to an angel. So you're constantly. You've got your pretty little angel of jesus christ will he dragged you. Right into this smut puddle thinning. I know but where do you. Where do you see yourself. I mean you. It seems like everything you're doing now just as opening up you're just hitting your stride now do is they're part of you. That goes like i've done a lot of accomplish a lot in. I just kind of want to slow it down and just chill or do you feel like no just. Let's just keep rolling constantly. I mean. I would assume that you guys feel the same way. You're always thinking like oh okay. Next year i'll i'll slow it down. You know but i the only reason. I think i'm able to continue doing this. This this way. I think is that i'm present with my kids and my wife and my marriage is incredibly important to me in that. Friendship is important to me so i you know i'm able to kind of get through you know but then blake and i don't do movies at the same time so she's ready to go back and do some salt. I'll step down and then we'll go back and forth as alternate yeah. She'll she'll do film. I'll just be with her on on location hanging with the kids so you you take you take the kids with you on location. Always always yeah. We never have been now. They're six four and one so they're they're in school so we can't really leave. Yeah start to change when your kids. My older kids are ten and twelve. And you yeah you start to say like you have to make decisions based on people know everywhere who have kids you make decisions based on what works for your family. Dad had that my dad had the same philosophy. Ronald's yeah wherever he away wait. No i'm kidding. We you guys have jason or you have two kids. Will you have three three so you have three boys sound. You've one dog one. Yeah i did you guys ever. I mean i don't i never imagined have three three will three. That's on the. That's three boys but i have ten twelve ten and one my youngest just turned one. And yeah it's You know it changes everything because everything is dick. Everything starts there. That's your baseline. So it's what works for the kids. It's everything is where you live. What you do what jobs you take. What when you take holidays. It's all geared around at how different is three from to the jump from two to three. I just like i was researching. Like a torch vasectomy after the third. Yeah there must be a way to stop all. I know a way to stop this. No i've i've thought about without getting. Yeah yes i've also had that same thought But then i also think like why. Who am i deprived the world Careful of more of just hear me out. You guys look this. This shit is no fucking fluke. Yeah look so why would i. Why would i but it is. I do think that sometimes when when somebody i love and admire doesn't ever have kids i think. Oh does this. Amazing jeans aren't yeah. Well thank you down. Let me tell you something though. Thank you the welcome. I think that the reason why one of the reasons why i don't have kids is because of some of these conversations that i've always been around which is like so tired kids figure it out and so growing up. Well maybe there's something to that. Maybe it is true. The first year is garbage. Okay everybody here's years is tough but i gotta say that there's never a moment. We genuinely regretting it. Never i mean no. I can't imagine not. I can't remember not having kids now. Right i do. I will say. I will say as a man who's fifty one and had a child at fifty. I was like hey guy what the fuck doing are you stupid and And we're out. You were out of the game yourself back in there and guess what you're chess. He's not hold up. Say that word you know. I said this ryan before on the on the packets. But i read this quote a long time ago from this woman who said i'd rather regret not having kids than have them in. Regret it later. And that was kind of my philosophy to consider the source. Who the fuck where she. It's my mom. You hate sean. No i know we've talked about it before a few times and you through thrown that quote in my face to make me feel bad but now no. I've always wanted to want them when. When's the last time you and scotty talked about it. I mean i'm probably like listening here again. Just just take it up the flagpole again today over lunch or something awesome. I know they come on. I wanna make sure that. I want be there for them like my dad wasn't right so no i know. I know i would be like a great dad. I just make sure that. I'm ready as somebody who's been friends with you for twenty years. I know that you would be so good at it you greatly. Oh my god sean. They'll take one of yours all. Take the kit sean. Listen if it doesn't if you don't like it. I'll take the kid 'cause i always want. Oh this is a great deal. I like the way like ricki. Ricki drew is always saying that you know there. Is that sort of pressure from people to like why. Why is the ultimate thing knocked to have kids in his things like. Maybe that's just not for us. We want we don't let this totally totally valid hundred percent. You do get a great tax. Write off if you have a kid ryan we have. We have really. We really monopolized your time and you got on hold on. I'm not ready yet. Not ready out okay. Skew each one thing because you guys are all people that i- lesser and greater extents. Think less of now. I love you guys so much. I love your work. Like what is your most fulfilling job that you've ever had one that you look back on. It doesn't have to be in show-bizzy. I the most fulfilling job i've ever had probably will and grace. Of course i mean. I have to be the biggest job i've ever had to but bird in flight on Speaking of anxiety. A lot of people thought you know. I came in like a ferret on cocaine. All the time has that character. And i think it's because it's because of my anxiety because like oh you're so funny of so much energy because they have so much anxiety and into the character day you like burst through that door on the second literally. See you bursting through that door on that saturday. It's just it was. I just said i mean it's like seeing a bird in flight thinking. That guys meant to do this. Yes i was my answer your question. Thank you for asking is very kind. Yes probably that job and has to be the biggest one but also just because of the unseal are- effect it's had on the world which was not. Nobody could see that coming. It was just incredible byproduct of what we were doing. So that's amazing to'sign Would say i don't know i'm i'm a. I'm really deeply deeply deeply in love with directing Right now and so. I would say the first film directed bad. Words was properly really exciting for me. The shot by. Ken sang one. Funniest charming fucking movies.

This episode is brought to you by mcdonald's so i just want to take a quick woman. Talk about my favorite mcdonald's item. It's a quarter of what she's and they'll tell you. This is really interesting. Whenever we go to mcdonalds scotty always orders eight double quarter pounder with cheese and catch up only he gets it really simple and and then it kinda rubbed off on me and i started getting court pounder with cheese and ketchup. Only and i have to say adding into heaven. It is greatest thing and when you're done eating it man. It is so satisfying. I love it. I will always just order a quarter pounder with cheese. And if i had to describe the quarter better which easy one word i'd probably say deliciously juicy. I like that one hundred percent fresh patty beef. Patty i won't. That's what you're talking about. And talking about the sesame sesame bun yup and also get ready for this two slices of american cheese ketchup pickle slices onion mustard. That's right. i can't fathom going to mcdonald's and not ordering the qbc that's that's an example of a bad idea that's like what is that like. That's like having air conditioning on with the windows open. It's a bad idea is a better deal. It's a bad idea like like building the subway under your house right now in los angeles. That's a bad idea. Kind of going house right now. It is right and then kill turning off your power. Yeah little bit not complain if it was me. Oh the letters. I'd be writing the game. You had back to the corner pronto. Cheese so guys treat yourself to your own quarter pounder with cheese today and come on reward yourself with some fries to while you're get some fries in there. Yeah mcdonalds talking about. This is making me really crave it frisbee fulfil boat. Most restaurants contiguous not available in alaska hawaii in us territories back to the show. Did you purposely not respond to bateman. Because you're just like fucking he doesn't. Let's get back to this now. Here's what on say. Here's a generous interpretation of the series of events. I think it is. Let's blame it on. Apple apple has a problem with texting. You cannot mark text as unread because if you read a text and they go oh boy really wanna give a good response to this person. It deserves my attention longer. But i don't have the time to do that right now. There's no reminder that that texts came in later and you could go months without responding to it and then seem well hurtful. I guess you know to the person who sent it would be a kind thing of apple to do is to allow us to do that for simple update. I'm going to be completely honest with you right now. Got your taxed. I wanted to be on the show. Here's everything i this goes back to my little post yesterday. This goes back to the thing that we're talking about is i get really like i- turtle a little min when it's stuff like that. We're getting around people that i greatly respect and admire and this isn't meat just pumping a bunch of hyperbole into your balloon telling you i actually feel so i get a little like oh god. What is that like. I need to understand to hear that. Podcast and then i started then. I fell in love with the podcast end amid a worse just last time. When you said you had someone on that was like me. And i was like oh i can do this now. I think was not tina fey. Tell you that milk shoe drew she. She's good she doesn't miss a lot of things. No nobody was It was just one of those things. Where i just just wasn't the right time. I also found that the pandemic and they realized that i'm not one of the millions and millions of people who are living at home paycheck to paycheck and living in an abject state of panic during a pandemic. I am one of the people who is not. I'm lucky i'm fortunate. I'm able to not i was having. That was tough. Yeah i mean you know when you're homeschooling kids. I'm sure a lot of people can relate to this. How did they do did. They had a tough time. Members seeking out external help left right has reading books. I was like trying to figure out some way to to steer the ship that was blake was blake. So much better at it than i was. Because i i'm also a child but personally when you have a creative mind and you go through pandemic. It's hard to and you're stuck at home. i think. Maybe that's a little bit of what you're saying like. Did you start doing anything that you were surprised at. Did you start painting did you start widdling Working with clay. No i wish i did. A lot of writing met it. I started to really make meditation. Practice is a little esoteric and everybody really did help. How many times did you accidentally fall asleep. Because that's what happens with. I've given up on if i had a baseline sense of wellbeing that you did. I would love. I used to. I remember changeup be like did you get your fourteen does know how to stay down. Pretty good greedy little pig. You get it all. I would love to Talking love to just get some uninterrupted sleep. That sounds great. No meditating not. I mean i my version. Meditating is like sitting at a perfect right angle and in a silent scream so.

"Now back to the show as somebody like. I consider myself an optimistic person as downey was says. Nobody wakes up in the morning happier. Be himself more than you. And it's true but you do seem like you're an optimistic guy that you do have a great sort of positive. Look on life in any encounter. i've ever had with you. It's never different if i see you doing. You're in a movie or you're promoting something we're talking or you're talking on the street. You're the same guy and you do exude that sort of positive energy. But are there things that get you. D like you must have things that sort of seep in. What is you off. Weapons you on your. When does it get dark right. You know what pisses me off. No no i mean. I have i have a patchwork quilt of pitch black night within need. That is that we all have that. It's like a keeps me warm at night. Yeah you know that. Big hole with teeth and star wars that no one's heard from blake for over forty eight hours guys known. I ate her on raised medium at that point right. I have a question about this kind of motivation. Positively and it's about the green lantern. Because now that i speaking to you we you know it's funny. I was in atlanta shooting. The three stooges movie. I go walk over to go friend craig. We arco craig. Work hilarious funny. So i walk over to this mall on a day off to go. See the green lantern. And when i walk into the mall to go see the green lantern. There's jason bateman and ryan reynolds shooting the change up. And i'm in the middle of the isn't that cradles the phipps the phipps plaza or leonard. We were we were re shooting. I think you're right. And i walked right in the middle of the scene like. Hey what's up guys. And i had this idea to like i'm going upstairs to watch your movie right now. The green lantern. You're like good luck. Warned you. I said don't do it. You're saver tickets. Don't do it and you twelve dollars plus popcorn. You made kind of this like you're doing now publican mission that it didn't of maybe work out the way you had hoped right. There's even that hilarious. Deadpool that that's it's so funny so forget about like hollywood for a second insurer hike how someone might be in a similar position. Somewhere in life professionally. That was a part of something that didn't meet. Expectations are are how they wanted. And so what was the drive. How the path to say okay. This didn't work but we're going to go bigger and make the best thing more successfully was something inside of you. That said i know. I can make deadpool this role successful. I'm going to try it again because a lot of people would have given up after something like that. Well that's right up at sean saying that greenland was so bad. You should have quit. Go ahead go ahead for reading between the lines lane tire. Inner monologue is a gigantic comedic. Nod right now. I think failing at starring in a gigantic comical movie in the grand scheme of things is an extraordinarily uptown problem So kind of afraid reframing. It a little bit like that but then also it's your life walt. Okay it's your life it is you know everything's a little bit bigger when it's your life and i you know at the time it really hurt because i i realized that it was. I let a lot of people down sort of felt like you know when it's you in the public discourse about that everything feels much bigger than it actually ends. You know so. I felt a little bit. Let people down i. Ice people really loved that character and i. I didn't love that feeling. You know but. I think what changed everything was was finding a way to have gentle authorship in the work that i do as opposed to that unilateral power like walking into a room and saying. I'm the boss. This is how it's going to be my where the highway. It's really finding a way to truly collaborate with people in the best leaders. I know this applies to all forms of business and the arts but the best leaders are the ones that are very very comfortable. I don't know so. How can we get to a place where we can someone in this room. Show me teach me and those are greatly too. So i i think harnessing some of those kinds of things you know basically grinding up forty five self help books in snorting it like the biggest line of code you've ever seen raise points of view But that was the thing that kind of my life and then it allowed me to sort of take that energy around that particular movie and use it a little bit like judo uses energy against it and kind of ramp. I mean one of the great prides of my life was was writing the tag on deadpool. Two where presiding over dead kills ryan reynolds. While he's reading the script green lantern. I just like it was like a lot of clever. That kind of stuff is so fun to ask. Also part of it where you're talking about is you don't and you never seemingly never have taken yourself too seriously and i think that's really important and people see it as armor. It's not really. It's it's a it's actually kind of a great Way to go through life. If you don't take yourself too seriously than this the slings and arrows don't hurt as much. No not at all so you. Yeah and you have a healthy. I think there's a very you're very kind of canadian outlook on life in certain ways. Certainly identify with that which is like. Hey man it's like you said like it's an uptown problem. It's all kind of. I guess i mean the fact that guy fucking doing. It is hilarious. You're making a living at it. I mean my father. If he were alive today he'd probably find some new way to die but if he were alive today he would you know he would. He'd be like holy shit. You live in like the life of riley here like come on. Yeah sean what would your dad say. My dad is say. What's your name. That's what my dad would say over the sound of the departing car engines. No sean stand left when he was five. Sean stepped up when he was five. And so it's a recurring joke on the show. My dad cancelled christmas one year. I'm not kidding you said. Christmas is cancelled. And it's just like to this day. It's still. I've made my brother. And i fall over laughing. What year did blake and her little angel wings. Float down into your life during what projects. And how did they don't say so fucking creep really now. She's just she's such an angel described. his wife is heaven straight. Melvin just say. When did you meet blake like normal. Fucking what the little what the wings flapping did for his life and his career and then children did it change anything or did it just complicates stuff and affect your overhead is the only fucking guy on earth who would look at her family overhead. No true yes. Where's the line item for daughter. I met blake on the on the darkest crease in the anus of the universe called green lantern uh-huh and we were friends and buddies and then About a year and a half later we actually went out on a date but we were dating separate people. Wow really use doubling with someone else. Davis was on a date and we hung out and kind of you know we always kinda kept in touch sort of casually and then next thing you know she was going to boston. I was going to boston. So i was like well. Let's i'll i'll ride with you. Got on the train wrote together and then it happened on. The train was just begging her to sleep with me. Who made the first move was you. Yes and how did that. How did let's let's get into that. What what is the first move. Look like i mean. is it like an. I've done this move actually in a movie theater where you put girl sitting next to you you you stretch out both both arms one over the back of her chair and one over the back of the of the empty chair next year so it looks like you just relaxed and then about five minutes late you take the other arm down you scratch your leg and you leave the one behind her up now. I got my arm around her. So that was one of my first. Move holly ninth grade stuff like the fucking fong man so it was yours as good as dad. Mine was much more elaborate. I mean i would. I would use a little bit of tier stick. So i get tears kind of gently sort of put it underneath your eyelids and then a little sob story about my life and out my hardship my eastern bloc hardship upbringing of a hell virginity is to you know. Oh my god of course. Yeah as soon as i was in love. I was like listen.

Go ahead go ahead for reading between the lines lane tire. Inner monologue is a gigantic comedic. Nod right now. I think failing at starring in a gigantic comical movie in the grand scheme of things is an extraordinarily uptown problem So kind of afraid reframing it a little bit like that but then also it's your life waltz. Okay it's your life it is you know everything's a little bit bigger when it's your life in it and i you know at the time it really hurt because i i realized that it was. I let a lot of people down sort of felt like you know when it's you in the public discourse about that everything feels much bigger than it actually ends. You know so. I felt a little bit like i'd let people down. I ice people really loved that character and i. I didn't love that feeling. You know but. I think what changed everything was was finding a way to have gentle authorship in the work that i do as opposed to that unilateral power like walking into a room. And saying i'm the boss. This is how it's going to be my where the highway. It's really finding a way to truly collaborate with people in the best leaders. I know this applies to all forms of business and the arts but the best leaders are the ones that are very very comfortable. I don't know so. How can we get to a place where we can someone in this room. Show me teach me and those are greatly to so i. I think harnessing some of those kinds of things you know basically grinding up forty five self help books in snorting it like the biggest line of code you've ever seen raise points of view But that was the thing that kind of changed my life and then it allowed me to sort of take that energy around that particular movie and use it a little bit like judo uses energy against it and kind of ramp in one of the great prides of my life was was writing the tag on deadpool. Two where presiding over dead kills ryan reynolds. While he's reading the script for green lantern. I just like it was like a lot of clever. That kind of stuff is so fun to ask. Also part of it where you're talking about is you don't and you never seemingly never have taken yourself too seriously and i think that's really important and people see his armor. It's not really it's it's a it's actually kind of a great Way to go through life. No sean stan left. When he was five. Sean stepped up when he was five. And so it's a recurring joke on the show. My dad cancelled christmas one year. I'm not kidding you said. Christmas is cancelled. And it's just like to this day. It's still make my brother. And i fall over laughing. What year did blake and her little angel wings. Float down into your life during what projects. And how did they don't say so fucking creep really now. She's just she's such an angel described. His wife is an angel. Heaven straight melvin. Just say when did you meet. Blake like normal fucking what the little what the wings flapping did for his life and his career and then children did it change anything or did it just complicates stuff and affect your overhead is the only fucking guy on earth who would look at a family overhead. No true yes. Where's the line item for daughter..

That ryan reynolds production company created about two days ago. Yes with devil and twenty twenty i. I've seen he says. My friend It's good a little busy a little. I had a lot of presentations this week. Which you know that's good. That's that's making money now and in pandemic time but i will tell you. I did something that i've never done before. So if you're if the listeners wanna check this out they can feel free to weigh in on this and maybe we'll talk about it next week. But i did a presentation for olympus yesterday run and You can see this presentation. It was a livestream. We did it on the olympics. The us olympics facebook page. So it's get ged t get. Olympus is the username. And i decided to kind of go out on a limb and they were kind enough to let me do it so they asked if i would participate in this twelve days of christmas promotion that they're doing and i said of course being and they said it'd be cool if you could you know do something about Doing like holiday portraits in creative things for holiday portraits and again. That's cool at sept-. I can't really shoot. Be because of this pandemic stuff and my wife is immuno-compromised song they're gonna bring a model makeup artist and that kind of stuff but the light bulb went off. I said i'll tell you what if you're game. I'd like to actually take it to the extreme and do our. But i don't wanna show any pictures at all. Wow a single picture. And i'm not gonna take any pictures so i'm going to do a one hour presentation about taking creative holiday portrait's and not show pictures and i'll admit they raise an eyebrow but they said hey we trust you you know your stuff so it's like okay and it was pretty well received so what i did just not scaring people completely is. I decided that it would be really cool to try and get people's creative thoughts going. So what i did show are lots of props but like you know the obvious christmas decoration things like to so garland nat but i had glasses drinking glasses and glass vases and i had some material things and i talked through all these different things that you could do to make your holiday. Portraits were interesting with the idea. Being that i didn't want to give people an example so that they could be lazy and just copied the example. I wanted to kind of plant an idea and really it. Any motion and challenge. And then olympus was was good enough. They agreed that we would run a little hashtag contest with it and The deadline is december twentieth. And the best shots that we pick olympus. Us and uk are going to share on their facebook pages and they're instagram stories. And then separately from olympus. I'm going to pick a one winter.
