"Finally got the burger King He's been dreaming of. He can't really look at his phone. So it's about to sleep for 4 to 6 hours and then should be a but better. Uh, yeah. And that was the other messed up. Part. Two is they have these goggles on your eyes for the first couple hours, So I didn't even see the burger King that I I knew it was there. I felt it. I hate it, but I didn't actually see it. And I said that it was great. It was hot and everything, but I did ask for cheese on my rodeo burger and didn't get it. If we're going to be completely honest, you have to have the thorough Burger King experience. But still still it was the fact that that happened and I don't know if it was the drugs or not, But like I said, we were in the drive through for like a minute and a half. It was so fast, it was crazy. 7275791025, and that's what I call John Brennan. That's a good move. I got the, uh, the night of my surgery. Got love birds again. Uh, Sarah Once again, That's the the chicken place up and up. And, uh, Dixie Land slash struggle. Is it like tenders? No. No fried chicken. On the bone on the bone. And the sides were amazing. And then for dessert, she had made brownies and she got this Tillamook Tele nook ice cream. Oh, yeah, The telemark. Yeah, It's not like a Wisconsin thing. I think they do a good cheese to chocolate on chocolate on chocolate on top of brownies. I'm like I would go through surgery every day and I could eat like this. Probably. Think about maybe moving in. I mean, can you handle that chocolate on chocolate every night, Big boy. Hi, Patty. Hi. I got a mainline to Jesus and I've been praying for both of you and praise the Lord. You got well, Do you feel like God talks to you? Oh, yes, And I answer. What does he say? He says You're doing a good job, Patty. But you shouldn't goddamn kids to on your ass. And don't make try to act like a human being Patty, not like a jerk off. God calls you a jerk off. Well, that such words does he does he just like make the jerk off motion with his deity like hands. Or does he actually call you a jerk off? No, He just called me that. Did you hear a tur transit resection of your prostate? What? No. No. Oh, hey, Can I do a shout out? Oh, you so I don't know if you what, Or if you heard anything on Friday, but we had We had a a serious instance with where a woman was going through what she described as a mental Break and somehow in the world was led to believe that Patty was like one of the only people that she could could help her. So that was in a bad place. Oh, yeah? Yeah, So it was It was kind of scary. I have her number I'm supposed to give it to Patty. So the lady was going through such hard times. She felt like Patty was the only one who could help her. So I started the show with the reference about Patty because I had been hearing Patty call every damn show for days on end talking about how high she was and whether or not that was real, she said. She was so high and was smoking weed for the first time, and she was seeing colors that she never seen. So I would just made an observation that it's crazy how we'd can affect people differently. So then this woman called and said that her doctor took away her Xanax and that she's losing her mind. And she needs to talk to Patty. I guess for help with weed, so I tried to help her a bunch of different ways. I gave her the number two like the true leave hotline all these different things. But she insisted that she had to talk to Patty, uh, to help her so really just talked to a weed doctor. Good choice. Mad group dot com. I tried. I tried to do everything that I could, but it was really It was really patty only that they could help her, which That's you're in bad shape. Yeah, that's uh, you know if you're if you are reaching out to somebody with the first name crazy for your mental health help Probably not the best, but thank you, Patty. You're you're You're so sweet, Hydroxyl alive. How can I help you Tell Jesus we said hi. Hey, how's it going, man? A first thing I said when I woke up from surgery is can't wait to get back to work and talk to my man Fred. It's been weeks and weeks. I know it's good to hear for your voice. Finally, Fritzi. Well, I'm trying to lay low. I don't want to sound like a radio hog. Oh, not you. Come on, Get out of here. You're a nut. What's going on, buddy? Well, I just had a comment. But it was very serious. Okay. I thought he said he blew Axl rose until the seed came out. You know, uh, I had always been in the atheist before them and, uh, something happened that day and You know, I was was a young teenager. And, uh, I just felt like a horrible person because I was doing crappy in school and shooting birds with my baby gun and stuff. I was like, Oh, my God. Yeah, Like I'm a horrible person, man. I'm like, Can you forgive me and There. I don't know if you would actually call it God. But there is a higher power there. I truly believe because it told me that day you're not a bad guy. Just Calm down, dude. Ever Patty and Fritz glowing, glowing reviews from God talking Well, not to mention France. I mean, I believe that God visited you, but it kind of does lose its luster when you say that it was in the midst of a serious hallucinogenic trip. Well, I mean, that's that's what people use those substances forward to have a religious experience. You know, He's right that the American in, uh in indigenous native American plus enough Use. "In ottawa team that you know went deep in the playoffs. A few years back so again. This guy is really good How good will he be here in. Saint louis matter can't wait to see exciting to see where he ends up. I wonder and worry ends up from a line standpoint. I wondered though. Just big picture. Strict like the blues have built and what they've built over the last couple of years and and not taking anything away or ignoring the foundation. That can hitchcock and mike. Yeo helped lay and and those coaching staffs. But what they've built under. Craig ba- ruby. Why is it now. Such an appealing place. Not just because of the winning on the ice not just because of the facilities and and the saint louis community but the culture if you had to describe what the blues culture is right now inside that room inside that building. How would you describe it to someone who nothing about the club near just mature. It's immature group of players like their professional. I know sometimes we use that that term we toss it around. But it's so true when you look at how the blues go about their business like they're prepared They wanna win. Winning is important. You mentioned all those guys who had been here before whether it's back as or bom easter steen. All these guys man they they they set the tempo younger guys pick up the buy from them and then they carried on and they pass it on to the next group of players who are coming in like the parental bitches. The robber thomas's you. Know the jordan. Kyros you know that. That collection of player joe hoffer. Who's a goaltender goaltending prospect who you know has potential to be really good down the line. This guy You know brings a lot of credentials. Haven't won the gold medal team canada last year and being a dominating player in junior a lot of people believe he's the real deal he's legit so you know. Obviously we'll find out the you have to do it. But when you look at the blues man from o'reilly who sets the tone. And then you get to peron shannon schwartz and bosak and all these guys And then perico and skin bella goner send bore. Two's crew all these guys on the back. End bennington like they're legit bonafide really really talented. Nhl players who go about their business the right way. Don't don't get me wrong. They like to have their fun off the ice and we saw that a few years back when the add that celebration and they keep it loose Tribal ruby creates an incredible environment for these guys. I think he gets having played. The you know in the league and played over a thousand games. I think he understands Win to tighten things up and win to let it glow go and let the players kind of police stays inside the dressing room. So this is a players. Culture around here in st louis and at the coaches have to intervene or the general manager has to intervene. Then then they will. But for the most part they don't have to because of the maturity that exists you come home and it's dandy strickland. Blues camp open ryan reilly. Looks pretty good wearing that. Siv talked about leadership about culture. But let's get back on the ice o'reilly and and this might seem like a strange question strict because of all that he's accomplished all that he's done here and throughout his career but is he maybe just scratching the surface to kind of player. He can be especially with the club around him. Now the the chance to be the captain and maybe what. The hockey world is is finally taking note of the complete player he is. Maybe i mean listen. He's he's been around for so long. Now i mean the guy came into the nhl eighteen year old. Like i was talking about which players played in the world. Juniors for on the blues roster and people were like white rhino right. we didn't play in the world. Juniors like no he didn't and he would have made the team but he was in the nhl eighteen. Like this guy has been around for a long time and you know obviously has the credentials of winning the individual awards winning stanley cup. And all that stuff comes with it. So i think people realize how good he is. I think with that said though. I think part of me truly believes that ryan riley is still a little bit underrated across the board. I think everyone respects this guy and understands how good he is but is he always included in the conversation. When you mentioned you know the true elite of the elite players in the nhl probably not put them in a category. I think he's that good terms of his ability to impact games and how he impact games. It's not just scoring or setting up plays it's You know what he does defensively in the face off circle killing penalties. Obviously great the power play as well in his work ethic is second to none. So is he scratching the surface. I think it's pretty established as a player. But i know we're set where you're going with this question chris. I think they're probably still is even another level for him to get to or at least prime right now and he's not going to drop off for a few more years. I can guarantee you that this guy is going to be in a league player for seven more years there kimmy. Someone may be a little bit under the radar. Even if we don't see him making a massive impact early in the season a name that blues fans will be familiar with whether they've heard from a prospect standpoint someone new to the organization someone that you think the fans will be excited about at some point if not sooner rather than later man. It's tough because so many of the players that are here. I need a household name. Even younger. Like robert thomas who you know. He wasn't great in the bobbio. You know he's had some injuries. It's the first time in a long time that he's after the season healthy. So what kind of year can he put together. The most interesting player for me and it may surprise people but this is just my opinion. I think he has to be. There was pressure on this guy. This has to be a good player. There's no option. He cannot be average. Can't be back but justin falk has to be a really good player from this team. When you consider. He's got the contract the position he plays alex. Portraying joe is no longer here. he's gonna play. That's he's gonna have a huge role. It's not an option for this guy. Just to be average has gotta be the player who they thought. He was when they made the trade forum. I think heading into this year. And he's going to have less pressure on his back. Then maybe felt last year at this time when you come in knowing that you know. The captain is in the final year of his contract. Everybody's speculating that you're being brought here. And now he's no longer going to do not gonna be able to be signed him Yet everything going on with the blue shirts winning the cup and you know he didn't really feel a part of it like they had the banner raising ceremony chris. He's hanging out in the dressing room by himself and then they go on the road and they go to the hockey hall of fame where they present the hall of fame with the ring and he's fishing by himself all day and then they go to the white house and he's hanging out by himself in washington. Dc not a part of it like people don't realize how difficult that must be mentally go to a new team after you've spent all these years one organization. You're an established player. Your three time all star and now you go to a new organization and you don't know where you fit in how you fit in and his personality probably isn't the most outgoing guy either. So it's taken some time. I think this guy is going to have a really really good season a bounce back year and i think when the seasons all said and done people are going to appreciate how good a player he is but at the end of the day. It's on him he's got to do it. And i'm interested to see candy strict before we let you go head cam on a couple of weeks ago. Right after the wayne gretzky episode came out in the chemistry podcast. So fantastic some really good episodes the last couple of weeks with gretzky and ken hitchcock. You guys just had the best of give me your favorite under the rate while your favorite big time chat of the season. Maybe it was gretzky. Maybe it was someone else and then maybe The one that you were kind of the most The most surprised by not that you wouldn't have had great expectations but someone did just kind of caught you off guard with how good they were and how engaged in the conversation was well. The guy who caught me off guard was recent bill clement and hockey fans remember bill a lot of screw up watching him He was on the number one team with gary thorne. Working for espn and nbc. All those years and he reminded me of bob saga. Who was you. Know the america's dad on tv and all of a sudden the sky is stand up comedy and he's like the dirtiest comic on going in the country. What this is bob second. It's kind of a similar situation with like. He was so buttoned up so power such a good broadcaster not knowing him personally. I didn't know what to expect. And he brought a level of humor and comedy An entertainment to the interview. That i didn't fully expect it didn't catch me completely off guard but i didn't know what you really expect. In terms of how honest he was talking about his relationship with with gary thorne He kinda laid in ken wilson. Who was a longtime broadcaster here with the blues for.
