I mean I I know where I am very content and fulfilled with the career. I've had ensure I want to be on track and sure I wanNA places a final time but the You know I I feel more for the fans. That aren't having that opportunity now than I than I longed for myself to experience it and to be there that makes any sense and you know and that's only a small piece in the grand scheme of things when you look at all the individuals that are affected by the current virus. The family could. It's affected your Konami. Businesses business owners. You know this. This is way bigger than than me way. Bigger than what would What what was GONNA be my my final time at these tracks? So that stuff hasn't really even cross my mind all these bring it up. There's been so many other issues at hand to think about be concerned with that I I haven't thought about about much at all being my final year. What I might be missing for myself. It's been more about others More about the fans and feeling you know what I see in my my social thread. You know I see people that are lifelong fans that That are sad. They don't get the seeming seemingly run So it's it's been about others for more than it's been about what what affect me personally. And what does Hendrick and other teams in the sport? wh- what are they able to do during the stay at home orders? There's really very little we can do. We can work on computers but Andrex been shut down for a while now There's been an agreement reached where teams aren't sending employees into work And not only from a team and ask her standpoint but obviously you know what the governor has said and with the amount of people that can gather and give them play so There's there's many reasons why not teams are working and moving forward In groups and what physically working on cars in the world of SIM In it's hard to regulate that I know that a lot of these ways we advance our cars and physically taking vehicles to wind tunnel and rigs and such Shake trigger eggs and seven post rates. That's also been banned so there's been a big effort made kind of free the sport In I know our team much like many other teams spending a lot of time on the phone trying to strategize. What to you next to wear to work? What's look at but we physically can't give go anywhere and do anything right now so I feel. We really are trees of so. It's interesting that last one. I mean the entire industry according to Jimmy Johnson has been frozen solid. That's it. They're not. They have an agreement not to do anything. It's amazing. Yeah I mean that's kind of what has to happen you've got. These teams have hundreds of employees. And when you have a stay at home order for non essential businesses this is not an essential business so regardless even if the teams wanted to circumvent things They would not be in the right in the situation so it is good to see everybody. Kind of airing on the side of caution In taking this thing very seriously I just think they could do a lot from home. I mean at least crunching numbers and wind tunnel virtual stuff and I guess they've all agreed not to do that. So interesting. Yeah I think it's the right call because you're already situation where some of the lower teams are getting hammered by this the stoppage. So they're going to really struggling when we get back. The guys they have deep pockets could get a huge leg up on things right now and I think the the best way to kind of prevent that from happening is doing what they're doing and I applaud everybody for kind of agreeing to to not try to get ahead of the thing before before we get back all right. "Being at home with the world. Changing is it has but at least the first couple of weeks. Things tightened up in lockdown. Just so busy with with work Very businesses that I'm involved with and the impact it has had on all and then homeschooling was thrown in the mix chander has her gallery and and the demands and workload that comes with that so it's another thing for us to focus on Especially for to focus on but Just more stress in the house and let's free time around to help with home schooling so I'm scrolling rock. Our world were a few weeks in now and then have a much better flow going on and understand at all so it's been a been a nice week this week. Honestly we've been able to balance things pretty well. So what point did you know? Seven time actual champion decide to go virtual racing yet for my entry point into it with. This was the first race on television. I knew then in there that I had to treat it it just instinctively knew I needed to treat a certain way and in have So I I don't know for me in my head. It's been pretty pretty straightforward especially since it's been on television how how things would go and ironically. I I find that I'm trying to find ways to make sure that I'm on the broadcasts. I'm not fast enough and Irish yet to run up front for the time so trying to be an erase reporter or part of spectacular crashes seems to be the only way. I find myself on holidays right. "The racing writers podcasts under host Kelly crandall today we're sitting down with Ryen priests of JT Doria racing to cover a bunch of topics. Ryan was nice enough chat after the Phoenix race which unfortunately has been the last Nascar Cup series race that has been run this season due to the ongoing corona virus outbreak but given It means this interview is still timely. When it comes to Ryan talking about his season and what happened in its most recent race which was pretty important for that thirty seventeen. Some of what you'll hear in this conversation is around the realities of being a cup series driver working with new teammate. Ricky stenhouse junior who joined the organization this season and wearing the pecking order. Ryan sees the two car team of J. T. H. E. It's a great conversation. So let's get to it. Here's Ryan Preece on the racing writers. Podcast we'll get this role in Ryan it's funny because when I was GONNA come over this morning I was like. I'm so glad that Phoenix went with good when well. Yeah I mean 'cause 'cause I was GonNa Start by saying you've had some really good looking race cars results but Phoenix as you tweeted. Finally some points on the board so it has to feel good yet does it was a long day. But you know there was no quit for sure with Trenton. Everybody over there. There was a lot of adjustments that were made throughout the race. And you know like you said. At the end of the day we ended up with a top twenty which is kind of where we kinda wanted to start the season. But you know looking back on it. The results don't show it but Daytona we were going to end up. Probably right in the top five top ten which would have been a great day and then. Vegas. We're going to have another great day to and just a motor. You know just something out of our control so Forays into the season. It looks like a big hole to dig out of but I feel like we're going to head in the right direction and that's something that we look to do is to keep moving forward time. GotTa start somewhere trump for clarity. Say for those who are going to listen. We're talking after Phoenix. So this'll probably I think air after let's see we got an Atlanta and then homestead so it'll be relatively soon for clarity. Say we're talking after. Phoenix got some points on the board. Hopefully you will start heading in that right direction. How hard is it not just from a competition standpoint but you now being a sophomore here in the Cup series? How hard is it just to be a cup series driver? It's not easy. It's definitely not what you think you know from the outside looking in a lot of one of those people for five years ago that or even you know three years ago that when you're outside looking in man you guys get to travel a time. I watch the cars that stuff. You guys are cranking. It left the whole time. And it's just like nope that's not the case. It's not as easy as it looks. You know at this level. I was talking to a buddy of mine. These cars are so well. Setup even cars that are running thirtieth or twenty fifth or whatever it is there a couple adjustments away from being that much better and I help at a local level. These cars would probably win races. You know what I mean so to win a race at the Cup Level. Your car pretty damn near perfect like we're fighting for little things that we make sound a lot bigger because it means that much more so it's not easy when you used to be one of those people from the outside looking in. What was the first biggest misconception? That was shattered for you when you finally got to do this. Very easy to drive. You know what I mean like. It's just a whole different level of commitment when it comes to going into a corner at one hundred and eighty plus miles per hour selling it off in your trailing behind somebody and hoping it's going to stick or you know how much dirty air affects your car. Not only in the front but side force. There's just a lot of things even on restarts you're going to be wide open no matter what because if you lifts there's a whole saying like you lift you lose that's one hundred percent the way it is so Certainly I think what this package. Oh it's even more so I mean the amount of technology that has been brought into Nascar. That's open my eyes with Australia's get is called. Sm T being able to look back at individual drivers points during the race or practice. Just seeing those things it's like man. I lifted to fifty percent for less than a half a second and I lost to Carling's it's like you got almost tell yourself sometimes I can't lift even if it does something I cannot lift and it puts you in a tough spot. Sometimes because you can risk wrecking that racecar. But that's why for five hundred miles. We are on the edge typically. I don't care what package you're in. I mean sometimes you know whether it's the old package which I got to run this weekend or the new package. They both have their challenges. Sm Date. I wanted to ask about that because that's a relatively new thing over the last couple years. We're mass car has opened it up to where you can see now. What everybody's doing and just compare yourself to your teammates? How valuable is that to where instead of walking down and trying to ask a kyle. Busch what he's doing. Now you can actually see what a Kyle Busch or Jimmy Johnson or Kevin. Harvick is doing well. The day is a games are kind of over like I. I was joking with With another driver not too long ago about mad house a car and I already knew you know what I mean like I see it and they kinda like they played the game a little bit with me and I'm like okay. Well I can go back on this laptop and kind of see what you're really doing here. South. It's just the days where you could look at a guy like well. You know I I was lifting here and yeah you do a little bit of this kind of gone. You know in a sense. It's always nice to talk other drivers to kind of understand the feel that they're looking for because that's extremely important but you know where he's lifting where he's breaking. It's not necessarily a well if I lift here and I use this much brake pressure here. It's not going to do the same thing. There's other factors that go into that with the way their car setup. I your car set up how the car is going to react to that. So there's a lot of things that matter in that sense but it's always nice to be able to go back and look okay. He's wide open. We need to help this or I'm wide open here and they're lifting and they're going fast or whatever you know what I mean. It's nice to be able to have actual facts and not go off of what somebody's telling you and have it to trust whether author telling you the truth for sure. Yeah I know you've been asked about of course ricky coming into the season but now that we've had a couple of weeks to get under your belt a couple of races under your belt. Where are the areas in which he's going to help you and vice versa? Are there things that you can maybe give back to him? I think the The combination of him. Brian Pattie has obviously they got a pole at Daytona. And they've run like well for sure you know. They're up there in points. Ricky and I have similar feels when we talk post practice just kind of what our cars are doing so we tend to look or try to find similar things in our race cars. That's good ricky's also you know. He's a veteran howls. He's thirty two. He's only two years older than me but he's got seven plus years more experience than May so it's nice to lean on him. You know for sure and then it's still early. There's still a lot questions that I want to ask that. You know I am sitting in a room right now they just popped up into my head but then as we get going you know you tend to fall into the moment and forget so you know we have a full year ahead so there's still a lot of things. I want to kind of ask when those things arise but You know it's been great so far working with him and he's definitely helped bring a lot of attention to J. T. G. And and you know we talked a lot about in practice which is gray and obviously that also going to some super speedways. I'm excited when we go to him. Keep a notebook right keeping. Look all those real thick notebook. I feel like in a way Ryan you when you came into the series. You're timing was almost bad in a sense because the cars keep changing the packages. Now are changing. We keep your crew. Chief is even changed. Has it been hard though in all seriousness? Almost find a rhythm when stuff keeps changing to adapt. That's what we have to do is drivers. It's what we all have to do in this. Sport is just adapt. I do wish we would stop messing with things. It's just like you know it's when your mom tells you when you're grown up like hey quit messing with that. It's just leave it alone. GimMe a couple years with something you know what I mean but Do you feel like you're good at adapting felt like I ben good I mean for sure I did. Enjoy the low downforce package this weekend. I felt like good. You're did bring a good tire that had fall off so you did see some comers and goers so yeah. I don't know what people want because you go on twitter and this is why tend to stay off some of these things and if I want read you want blue if I want green you want. Yeah it's tough so at the end of the day were all dealing with the same things. So we're we're GONNA race no matter what but what I thought was cool about the low downforce deal with the tire combination. Because that's extremely important Was that there. Were people losing control their race car and wrecking or stepping over that line. Where in the other package restarts are amazing? I mean I sat and watched the All star two years ago at a restaurant. Connecticut and I was like man. This is great racing to watch. But it's it's difficult from a racer standpoint because the edge is really far you know what I mean on a short track. It's really tough to overstep that boundary. So it made for cautions this weekend made for opportunities on restarts and restarts exciting so that that was cool. That was fun. Let me put it in your hand. What do you want? You say? You don't know what everybody else wants in a perfect world. What would your feedback? B Twelve hundred horsepower? Exactly what we had entire fall off. You know I feel like these teams Have done such a great job in development with how to get cars to drive really well to the point where seven hundred fifty horsepower. You know eight hundred.

"Still remember, the, the big rain out and, you know Jeff Gordon, all the leaders rack, Michael Walter by was in there and NASCAR. So you know it's the all star race. Get your backup cars out, man. You wanna talk about just a just insane atmosphere. You should have been in my house during this, because my family were not Jeff Gordon fans. I mean, it was not a Jeff Gordon house. And the fact that the twenty four car got stuffed in a wall. And they allowed backup cars come back out there. My dad lost it. And of course, it goes on to win. Yeah. Of course. So it was just the perfect thing shit. But it was just chaos. I couldn't believe that was such a weird thing. I mean at the end, I'm glad they did with it. Did it it's an all star event you don't want, you know fifteen of your twenty all-stars wrecked out before the race starts. They did the right thing. It was just funny that it was paying to Moni in the Christie house back, then it was serious stuff too. There was lightning and stuff near the track to gather was it was it was crazy. There's a lot happening that night. And there was even question if it would even be ran that night. So it was it was pretty wild. Now. I know there's some good year freaks out there and they are wondering what tire compound are they gonna use this year? Well, they're gonna use the same as last year's all-star rights on the right. And the same compound from Dover in Kansas, this season, on the left that equal four see, I of wish they would go back to trying that multiple compounds that people could select trim. The harder softer medium? I wish they would just do a match set staggered just right. Everyone. That's right. Yeah. One time throughout the race. So everybody waits live, very last. Well, actually, this is more of a question what he wreck teammate to win the all star race. And that million bucks. Wow. No. You can't do that. No, you can't just go out and wreck really anyone because you're gonna pay the price believe me. I know. So I think it's probably not a wise decision. I've always said, moving someone is one thing, reckon someone something different. So that's kind of my opinion on it. I think you gotta race that racist. Same way you would and the other race because the same competitors the ever more aggressive, but it doesn't mean you're gonna go out there and just dump people. Chase Elliott is pretty happy to be in with a win or three to be honest with that. I don't even know what the rules are next week. So I couldn't tell you, but I think it'll be exciting to be in the race. For the first time be Lockton. And, and you know whatever package to this next week, it'd be great, and look forward to being a part of the big show for sure. I just lost track. So, yeah, we'll just roll with it. And like I said, whatever it is. And I'm going to push us ours. I can with whatever. The rules are. So I look forward to it who would chase Elliott the sport's, most popular driver like to see the fan favourite this year. That's a good question. "Crew challenge, or whatever it was. But now we've made it where they might not even have to do anything they used to be all about the pit crews. Yeah. Used to be at least showcasing a somewhat. I mean but this is made it where I mean thirty four. I mean you're gonna have to make a pit stop. But it could definitely come during a stage break, and it should only be one that you need. So they might be screaming tires. So maybe these tires this, you've been holding up very well now, the, the qualifying I think is still all out on the on pit road though, right? Yeah. Still all out. So it'll be what do the pit stop for qualifying. Yeah. No. It'll be I think it's what four laps total one of those laps you come to pit road. So it's okay, so it's, it's the same cool stuff for that, right? Yeah. Nope. It rolls. That's great. That's how it should be for all qualifying now. See, that's what they should have done. See, I mean it's right there in front of us this whole time. It's right there. If you're looking for some sort of weird gimmick for qualifying it's right. "So it's kinda interesting 'cause a lot of money, make these cars, now it does definitely does the rap Salone aren't very cheap. So I don't know crazy that we're going that way, though. Anything else big on Toby Christie dot com, that we should be aware. Well, depending on when you're listening to this, there could be a nugget about Richard petty motorsports. There are some huge huge Chatters going on in the background that something big is happening within the next week or so. At pity, more sports, the rumor the biggest loudest rumor currently is that they'll be going back to the petty enterprises name instead of Richard petty motorsports. And again, part of this rumor the Andrew Moore Stein, the guy who's the big big investor will no longer have a part in this. The petty family buying the team back basically, we'll see how true these rumors end up being. But it looks like that might be the case, and it seems like from what I'm hearing as well that they should have again. This could all go completely wrong on the team could shut down next week, so who knows. But. They're saying that they've got from what I'm hearing they should have some new partners to announce as well. So maybe just maybe there could be some silver lining here from a boss. I hope they stick with them. Yeah. I mean, I think bubbas their guy I really think petty believes in him a lot. Now, I do know also that even with crazy rule changes we have the, the format for this all star race is actually pretty simple. It's kind of a throwback to the old days. You've got three segments twenty laps twenty laps ten laps. So that's, that's pretty easy for us to get our heads around and fifteen this year is fifteen hundred ten. I think it's fifteen they, they made a point to say that it was five more than last year. I thought it was five less than last year. My wrong. I think I'm right on this one. Okay. Maybe we'll do we need place bets. The open is twenty twenty ten is that what I'm thinking of, maybe you're thinking of yet that's one thing. And, and then it's thirty twenty twenty fifteen oh, I should've taken the bet you should've C C you shouldn't should have taken the better. But you can pay me if you want. Well, no, I'm not gonna pay you. That's not how it works. So I mean you had to shake on it, yet at least agree to it, but we didn't agree. How are we supposed to shake on it? That was a phenomenal race in anybody who thinks it wasn't is crazy. I think the poll the Jeff Gluck does every week. The was a good race poll this amount. Halfback it's ninety percent for it was a good race. So it was fun. It was it was very fun. Even though Laskey took the lead with twelve laps ago or so. Even during that foul twelve she never knew who's gonna win this thing. There were challenges happening all around the place. Alex Bowman look just so he wanted to win this thing, so badly Eric Jones through the block, and everything it was so much happening those final apps and then all throughout the race. Actually, it was so close. Nobody was able to break out the more than maybe a one second lead. I mean there there wasn't much huge sustain leads out there that I saw. It was a great race. This is about as ideal is. You could expect for a mile and a half track. Now, of course, the weather conditions played into this very well with being cooler with being nighttime. So we'll stay that way in any other races later on the summer. I don't know. But this this definitely was the perfect storm for NASCAR Kansas. Okay. These days, don't look familiar with Chris butcher. This is this is a few weeks coming for Christmas. He has been so strong at Talladega he was strong Bristol. He was strong Richmond. I believe, is well, he's been strong at lots of places hasn't gotten any top ten to show for it. So he finally rights, probably got one in. He deserved saw top ten and Tyler Radic. He's only run a handful of these things. Actually just a second career start and he had a solid ninth-place finish and he was actually running up in the top five there in the closing laps before the last few restarts there and get kinda shuffled back a little bit. He was disappointed about that. But I think solid top ten I don't see any of his teammates up here in our in our top ten lists. I think he did just find for himself. He's going to start to think that this is easy. Yeah, I think it's starting to come pretty easy form. It's funny because he won that opening race Daytona last year. Affinity series. And he was out to lunch for a huge portion of the season after that. But when he got home said he was on fire. He just drove a line that nobody else could get close to so high up against the wall and that gave him so much confidence just head to head beating Cole Custer and all those other guys and that final race for the championship, but he's just been just lights out ever since this is crazy. One guy that knows absolutely certain. This is not easy and just happy to finish a race with the fenders on the car. Kyle Larson the number eight and this is a couple of weeks in a row now. He's, he's getting down all of a sudden, I think Justin Kapuscinski is pretty happy about this. It's true. Kurt Busch at number seven, so that's not too bad for him. Both their cars are at their in seventh and eighth. That's a pretty good week for them. Must have had equal setups. It sounds like it. Who's this guy?.

"And we talked a little bit about MAC Benedetto. Michael McDowell and Ryan Preece another guy that really had a good run. I mean, you look at ultimately where these guys finished not necessarily as well as they ran. But I tell you these guys they got some attention, Tom. Oh, yeah. Ryan priests. It only run five races in the Cup series before his best finish was thirty second and Ross Chastain who finished tenth. This was his first top ten, and I believe thirty seven starts these guys. Now granted they benefited because a lot of the top cars were knocked out fifteen twenty cars that didn't finish. So that helped them, but you know, they deserve all the kudos in particular ran well all night. He was up near the front. Most of the evening. You know, it was funny. On TV. They ask him about it. And he said, well, I got an education today. These boys handed me my lunch. And I'm thinking that guy finishes eighth in that race. He did pretty darn well, well his point. I think when I went back, and I look at some of the footage. Yeah. There were some times right here at and he actually gave Joel llegado that one shot got him on up there really in contention. But he also when he lost Joey he opened the door and left too much separation between Joey and the rest of the field. Never able to kind of put him back in the middle and gambling little drop kick what he was referring to he's needed to hang with Joey and follow him up three there. And he didn't do that. So again that education was immense. Here's another kid. We don't want to overlook. Ty Dillon any six and especially since Germain made the move up to welcome North Carolina to get closer to our CR, which is basically there. Home base and their their their partner and not to mention Richard children's whose grandson, Ty Dillon driving that number thirteen. So it's good to see these younger kids getting at least in you know, a boost in there. Confidence morning thing else as we get ready to go into a pretty tough race track this upcoming week because you got really deep program and reprogram for what they're going to experience Atlanta. And if the weather keeps them off the racetrack, it may be a more challenge because you you'll be getting a surprise because this new package, you're not going to be ready for it. So the ones that didn't go to Vegas. It may be like, oh, we missed the setup for these guys. I mean, obviously financially running well get into good pay day. Daytona is huge the exposure. They got. You know, MAC to Benedetto ran up front a lot during the day. Michael McDowell ran up front a lot during the day. They got some good exposure. But I also think he gets them competence not only for themselves but for their teams moving forward. Who can to can take this time. Do you think and and use it? Best use it as a kind of a boost going forward best. Or can. I all I think that's hard to say. Because Daytona and Talladega are so different than anywhere else. It's not like you're going from from Bristol one week to Richmond the next week or martinsville. It's not like you're going to be running on similar tracks. I I've always said it takes about six races before we really know where everybody is that. And I think I'm very impressed with Ryan priests. I'll be interested to see what he can do and he certainly acquitted himself well on the modified in this race. I don't I don't think you can draw too many conclusions from this race. When you look at guys like Kyle Larson and Jimmy Johnson. They finished in the top ten their cars. Look like they'd been run over by steamroller, and he's still finished here. So so hard to predict what might happen. I agree with you. But also, I love it. When I see a guy like Ryan Preece show me. He's got some natural instincts through those crashes. I mean, it'd be so easy to overreact. Touched a bright turn the wheel. But he holds true wheel didn't touch the bright, and it gets through to very horrific. Could it took him right out of the play crashes? So he showed me he's got great instrument it regret instincts. And I think when I look at these drivers you mentioned Ross Chastain. Here's a guy that has got a bulldog type attitude when it comes to drive it gave me an opportunity, and I'll show you I can wheel something he was right on the verge of getting into a first-class riding extremely series. It went away. Did it deter? You know, it made him more intense more fierce than ever before he goes out. He put together, you know, three rise for the weekend. And he did solid. He did a solid effort. Everyone to be able to come through the Daytona five. Five hundred with a fifteenth place finish. I think it gives a lot of Carlin was a moment to pause and think maybe. Maybe I need to Scott driving for me. So I think everybody that we kind of touched on and I don't want to miss Parker, Clermont either. Here's a guy who barely made it into the five hundred had a racist way in. But yet he comes out here with a solid finish basically underfunded team. So. I said at the very beginning of the show. It's not a great race cards getting there. Yeah. It's been three years getting there, but he's picked up a carburetor. But it's not a McLaren scout is not fair. You know, is there is there? Paul Letterman, you know, raising them there is a there's a guy named Ryan Preece who just made the bigs. He's on. He just got picked up a Hendrix. He's racing. He's racing. "The race and you're not talking about ryan preece so from the health of the sport why i understand burn your time you know big names right and maybe that's all it is it worth the short term benefits of you're talking about ryan preece you're talking about building another person who could potentially getting become somebody i mean you know nascar still states that part of its allure is that anybody can come and and come up to the ranks i mean that's why they're still in copy even though there's thirty six charter spot they're still four spots left for you know the noncharter teams that they want to you know hey we got enough money we can put together team and in theory you know we get the resources we can go cup racing if we wanted to the three of us so is it worth is it worth the benefit of of having that ryan preece i mean in that in that dash for cash you have ryan preece win than the following christopher bell who is you know the guy who's spotlight is one of the top rising talents in the sport talladega was spencer gallagher now i know yet is is issuer failed at the substance abuse tests you know a few days you know that that came out a few days later but was that not a pretty good story of a team that has risen the last years a young team family team and you know somebody pulling out a win that nobody quite expected so is it where's the benefit and and where's the detraction in having a and it goes back to that it does and it's a fine line because i think that at the same time as you obviously want to encourage that sort of rising through the ranks tendency and you want to see the next generation i mean that's the whole thing that's the that's the hot new phase the phrase that's going on right now is the next generation the young guns you want them to be built up but at the same time i don't think that you can totally sell out in that direction i don't think that you can totally lean on the side of development because if you do that then you are alienating some of that fan base and you are gonna alienate the fans of those older drivers who have been extended for longer or fans of those cup drivers who you know maybe they they this is the only race of the year they get to and they want to be able to see as much kyle busch or as much brad kozlowski as they can see so i think it's a really delicate line that you've got to walk i can definitely see the argument for both is is the mix i mean again you know the there's the four dash for cash raises so you're not allowed to run those.

"Back the motorsports monday here on a monday it's a race day in bristol and it's actually kinda surprising spencer gallagher tyler burnett actually not surprised and we all knew we were going to have some rain this weekend yeah i was unfortunate i had the opportunity to stay through sunday and and you know get to hang out at the race but talked a couple of my meteorologist buddies and they said now you shouldn't be dodger that one so i headed back home got to watch a guy to watch it on tv but no it's been great action there it's just you know that that bristol race that we ran the extremist as that's the only time i've ever been to bristol that it hasn't rained on us so i guess a cup guys are getting more than regular experience actually kind of forgot that it didn't rain during the extent of the race i it's been raining so much you know rain here so bad and charlotte yesterday that i thought it rained on as it did however ryan preece had a shower in victory lane and that was a cache of money one hundred thousand dollars for the dash for cash are woody came caught up with him after the race here it is so are you going to try and talk somebody into put you in a car richmond now no i'm going to go back to my normal life but working on race cars and dream come true winning at bristol motor speedway as i was a kid playing it on a video game and we all spire to get to this level and it's not easy but i've had that no quit keep working attitude i've had the people helped me to do it and when the time came i performed the way i felt i needed to so it's all about winning that's all i have to say toward the end you were chasing your teammate brandon jones down kind of corey and back and forth a little bit there than the caution comes out.
