"I'm Ryan Norman with me this evening, Felix Vega and Reggie on the board, and we've got a packed show for you coming up to legal issues, one involving the reopening of schools and the other involving Florida's voter registration deadline. Felix has all the information on that. Also politics reporter for the Washington Examiner, Emily Larson will join me to talk about Joe Biden dodging all those court packing questions and what the plans are for the final two presidential debates. We're getting some breaking news over the past couple of minutes that it sounds like The upcoming debate next week on the 15th is in fact going to be cancelled and what will likely happen is you'll have a Biden Town hall and a trump Town hall but separate Maybe piggybacking each other. So we're still learning Mohr information about what the setup is going to be like. Next week. There will be something featuring both the candidates, but it doesn't look like it's going to be a debate. And senior Washington correspondent for Business Insider Dave Leventhal is going to check in for an update on the stimulus package negotiations taking place between the White House and Speaker Pelosi. Lots of developments with that. Throughout the day. Today, few quick notes. I'm still working on getting answers for the discrepancy in the States Cove in 19 death toll reporting A caller called the other night brought this up. I had not been aware of it, but the numbers that the state is providing to the media in terms of the daily death toll. Today it was over 100 yet again. Those were different from what you will see if you go to the state's website, where specifically labeled daily deaths on this day, basically and I'm talking to a number of different people, reporters officials trying to figure out what exactly the difference is how this is all getting calculated. So I haven't gotten answers on that yet, but I'm gonna work on that over the weekend. A few stories about ballot issues across the country have been popping up. The president tweeted out about one today. I'm gonna have a guest on to run through all of that. Next week. We kind of touched on it with our elections law analysts last night, But we're going to go Maurin depth on the specific issues that have been making news lot of misinformation floating around about them pretty much all of the instances that we've seen so far it's not corruption or fraud. In a lot of cases, it's just incompetence, which is usually What it is. I mean, if you typically if if you have to choose between incompetence or fraud. It's typically just incompetence. It's in my experience as a lawyer and a journalists and also the proposed amendments on the Florida ballot. I know Felix, you've been working on this. We're going to start diving into that next week. I want to make sure we get all the amendments that you'll be voting on before early voting starts, so we've got a lot that's going Tio coming up. And we'll try to get most of it, if not all of it next week. Today's top story with the campaign insiders are seeing and saying something I've been working on. Over the past couple of days. I've been reaching out and talking to a number of different people across the country who I trust to give me accurate, good information, both Democratic strategist And Republican strategists who are actively involved in the 2020 election. They are seeing things that the public isn't seeing. They have access to internal polling and they're seeing how the money is flowing and they're seeing the enthusiasm on the ground and all of that. All the conversations I had were off the record, and that's how this works. Least that's how it should work. This is not fake news. These are not fake people. But in order for me to get their honest assessment I can't go on the air blasting out who told me what you know That's not gonna go over well with their campaigns and that'll make trust me and don't make a lot of news, So that's where the whole off the record thing comes into play. It's basically You give me your honest, unvarnished opinion, you know, tell it to me straight so I can get a better ideas to what's going on on the ground. And you know, I'm not going to put you on blast and say what you told me. Big news. Yeah, and you know they were very honest. But I thought the Republicans had talked to in the Democrats that thought you were all very honest and interesting information. So let me run through some of it with you Right now. I'll start here in Florida. Where it sounds like Democrats are Cautiously optimistic. And I say that because they know is well, a cz Anyone? That thing's Khun Turn on a dime and Florida and it's always going to be a very close race. And Republicans. Sometimes they just seem to do a little bit better than everybody thought they were going to dio going into the election. So Democrats cautiously optimistic was what I was hearing. They did see a shift. In their numbers. And when I say numbers, I mean polling numbers, Isles I mean donations all of that. When The president got his positive cove in 19 diagnosis. They feel like more so than the debate the first presidential debate. It was the cove in 19 diagnosis that started to shift things that that could potentially be. You know that turning point. In the election. Now, keep in mind. A lot of people thought that was going to be the case with the access Hollywood tape back in 2016, and that happened right around the same time, and the president was able to gain back some of that support that got real soft. At that moment, So I think that's part of why they're cautiously optimistic. What I'm hearing is that seniors are the big problem for the president. The senior vote right now, and it's really not just in Florida. It's in other states is well, that's where he's soft. And like I've said, going back to the Democratic primaries when seniors were overwhelmingly going for Joe Biden. I said, That's the vote you want. That's the most reliable vote. Now what's going to be interesting to see And this is something that nobody knows. Most people think that there's going to be a pretty sizable amount of seniors who vote early in person, or they dropped their ballots off. Seniors will probably participate in mail in voting more so this year here in Florida than they have in the past, with some seniors like to vote. On Election day. That's what they're used to you. That's what they feel comfortable doing. What that means is the president could potentially have sometime. I've always felt that seniors, although it certainly seems like A number of them have moved from Trump to Biden. I've always felt like that supports a bit soft. That's something that the president could potentially gained back. He's running out of time to do it, though, so that's going to be key, especially here in the state of Florida, but it's also gonna be something to watch across the country. Republicans think the big issue holding them back right now. Particularly here in Florida is the president's style. What he says and how he says it how he acts..

Oh, you put it. I thought it was so important. You put out a really pretty open. Have maybe 10 point suggestion about what? What are the kids to do if they're going to choose to be in a sexual relationship right now? Oh, my, because I mean, I know it's a little bit off topic to what we're talking about. No, it's all part of the worried they're young people, and they're going to be in college and they're going to be making those decisions and sew it. You and I can't walk you through each of mud on him in front of me that light out Well, okay, Here's some real practical things to do that if you make that decision Um, talked about mascot talked about hand washing it talking about? I don't know. Protection, Probably Kenya. The decision a decision that you're being affected, you know, like you would from other diseases. So I thought it was real important that here Ryan Norman in the paper that that was listed, and and that's the kind of information we need to provide for people that's very responsible. Man. I haven't thought of that. So it shows that I do not have Children at that level. Thank goodness, but yeah, I know what you mean. But maybe it's really the right time to say yes. Sex education is important Health education's important We need to fund these things. We need to put more money into education because we have it. We have not been doing a good job with this. But this is our opportunity here in Oklahoma and across the nation to say we need to start helping people with information. I was looking at the pod learning because I knew we were going to talk about this and They equated it with similar to like a one room schoolhouse that you had her and I liked that multiple ages of Children teaching each other different things and and all their and Have a picnic outside and look for the bugs and talk about it. I mean, you can imagine all the good things that could come from that. But I really like it that Aaron talked about inclusion, Yes, way do need to think about other Children that this is not information that they will automatically have Andi help their families to. Well, What about thes Hope centers that Governor Stitch is talking about? Said. He's sending money like to the girls and boys, clubs and places like that. So Children that are less fortunate and their parents still have to work. We'll have places to go. Yes, yes, I like it. Whatever anybody, no matter whether you're a Republican, they're Democrats. "Ryan Norman by sixty seven ten thousands of the second of all of the races ever run at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. That was the closest finish. We've ever had a racing. I it's may. I saw the picture of it. I saw the video I it's insane. You talking about a photo finish and it was it's amazing. And I'm reminded to by a number of people throughout the night that these are guys. Right. These are guys who you know who win these races. Just. Think about this. We talk about Oliver ask you right now. But there will be others guys who are racing on Sunday who have been in this particular situation. Right. Twenty three of the thirty three drivers any five hundred. If not officially Indy lights drivers had some level of experience in the ladder on the way up, and it's now known as the road Dixon, and there are three different strata you get to before he gets it IndyCar series. So the basic level is USF two thousand then you get to the pro India series in any gets the Indy lights series. The lights cars at two races around the ground free. They have just the one the oval race today before Sunday's racer Indianapolis Motor Speedway. But dollar ask you a lot of wing in the previous two series before he got through the lights this year at again, the guys that, that, that there will ever wins the light ceres that driver gets a million dollar scholarship to run the next year in the car series that usually good for four races. So, for example, how the last guy. The field this year, a year ago, he went, Iran. Four dollar ship. Couple of years earlier, stents, ticket is literally a driver, who has won his way up the entire Indy-Car series ladder. And now that's a fulltime carpenter racing. And he'll be starting in the first couple of rows starting on the outside of our one to be sacked for the race coming up on Sunday. So it's, it's the one time these guys get attention all year running on carb day, but it is a talented group, and somebody was into days race will probably be the Indianapolis five hundred next year. All right. So we got about a minute here. We have soccer tomorrow. So United talking about India Levin. Correct. Correct. Fastest speed on the day was Tony t TK to twenty five point five one seven for rucci ripped off to twenty five point four and former five hundred winner Kuma Sato to twenty five point four. They had the freedom one hundred race which is part of the Indy lights series. Kind of the minor leagues of the the big guys here amazing finish probably the closest finish. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has ever seen for any race. Oliver ask you was the winter. He's part of the Andretti team. He was the winner of the freedom, one hundred I think I put that on Twitter earlier, if you scroll down our time line here. This was an amazing finish he won by zero point zero zero six seven over Ryan. Norman in this race. So that's pretty close. Oh man. Just the difference. Honestly between the front nose cone of the car. That was the big difference in the race. The pitstop competition took place, a little bit earlier today, Marcus Ericsson. He was the winner kind of a surprise winner. He Joseph new new garden in the finals of the pit stop competition, Marcus with aero Schmidt Peterson racing. And that's kind of the same group that James Hinchcliffe is involved with. But yeah, this is the first time in the history of the pitstop addition, somebody that isn't Chip Ganassi or Penske car has been the winner. So congratulations to Marcus Ericsson, and that team got big plans for race weekend. Staying home as much as possible. I'm not taking a few years off the race. Here's state year. Not going, I miss go. Boy, I wake up race date. I just going kids and barbecues neighbors, and parties, all the typical thing that do, because I took a few years off when my kids were real young, and now they're old enough to go and I'm excited about this. My oldest is two years away from being my designated driver. So I can kind of go back to the old rowdy race fan that I used to be before I had dad duties push comes to some if you're in a pinch she could probably behind the wheel right now. Oh, absolutely. He he plays enough of these racing video games. He's probably the best driver of anybody in this room, not that I did Kurds. Here's Sammy Walker now picking up after to flip it to you by McLaughlin. They go off the ice, right? Now's the gophers in the midst of a meanwhile, the Irish come back here is Cam Burke, Burke brothers, four Notre Dame. No relation at all. To Minnesota's Nathan Burke back in the point Slager, suits. Great on goal. And that was a fine gloves say by Matt Robson. I don't know if it's conservative conservatives is on the part of Notre Dame. But they've got every line involved already. And we're only not even three minutes, really short line shifts. And and, you know, not not a lot of pressure on the offensive end salt. Let's see if they're gonna just try to shut it down for a while. Minnesota's fourth line on the ice right now. Strap radius centering that Jack Ramsay on the right wing and Jarett wait on the left wing. It hasn't seen a whole lot of action here in his freshman season for the gophers to center ice come the Irish and into the Minnesota zone. It's knocked off the stick of Alex fees by the back checking efforts over Garrett. Wait. And that's what Bob Moscow told you before the game while he is that he wanted to get a little energy out of Garrett weight, and he's provided that on his initial shiftier. You know, what given the opportunity you better want to? And I think you'll see that out of Garrett today hasn't been buying them for a while. Brian's Ohlsdorf behind his own net starts Minnesota back slides it off to his right for nanny. Tyler straight up the middle. Crosses the line lodges a long shot on goal juicy rebound it out, then almost whack at home. But it was deflected behind the goal by their goaltender kale Morris. Now nanny receives a Pasco point. Shot on goal booted out by the right, Pat of Morris. Yeah. Good shift for Tyler there. Followed a shot and then. Got the rebound attempt. And then had another attempt scoreless. Just over four minutes into the opening period here three marina, mariuchi Notre Dame down the left side. It's Cam Morrison. Just off the play gophers regain possession in their own zone. Minnesota golden uniform pass down the right side finds gates going straight up the middle. But he's surrounded by three Irish lost the pot. Notre Dame is Bobby Bonilla their leading score and one of the top scoring players in the country on defense. Minnesota games an interception. A threaded through a too far for she. Oh, I think she he if he would have skated he would've skated right into that kind of held up a little bit. Notre Dame, regaining possession of Cal Berkeley. Older of the two Burke brothers gets it across ISIS launched back in behind the Minnesota. Gophers lifted high in the air as both teams change on the fly and della. We'll circle back on blue line for Notre Dame. Left side pass brings the Irish across the gopher blue line. They swallow up. Delivers it down into the left corner. Back in behind the Minnesota and related the blue line for tomorrow, brisk sock over to the left wall. There's a shock from there. But a walk off of the scape. Gophers regained possession, but Stasi will hustle back into his own zone. A pick up the loose puck. He's tied up. But does manage poke the center ice with one hand on this day? Here comes a Larry across the goal for line looking from all grossest kicked out of his reach. Doc behind the gopher goal. Tommy Novak cakes it over to the left wing boards. Looks high into the air deflected knocked down at center. Norman brings it across the line from McManus going. The way to the edge of the crease in boss off the Pat of Morris slid save and a good I five minutes for Tommy Nova yet. Novak will be our guest in our first year. "Some pressure in the Minnesota zone. He the blue line banks it off the in boards. It goes around to the left wing side picked off the wall by. The Irish trying to make a play on it can you can possibly hide the Minnesota. Gophers will regain possession. Ben Berkman third on the team. Block shots is a freshman defender at thirty six thousand mile brings mcglaughlin across the blue line on the points. And it's off the stick of Morris owed at the edge of this pretty sepoys gonna get one tonight. Mcglaughlin behind the goal. He's on a Grand Rapids, many mcglaughlin stopped along the left side. Knight short path a Walker. So. To nothing. I. These are three guys who just do. They hardly ever give the park. What a battle. This time by. Down looked at that puck at his feet would not let anybody near it. And then lifted a sweet back up to grade hands actually blocked that that came from the point for off of water Dixit out back cancer. He says that sweet little passed by mcglaughlin do sandy Walker. Yeah. Amir eight feet away. But boy that open things up. Number nine very Walker at twenty seven Blake mcglaughlin. By the golden gophers here. Twelve minutes into the game to pick up a pair of goals. Now Calbert tries a played into the gopher end. But it ends up in the Minnesota player bench. Guys are so much fun to watch Burke from Walker McLaughlin as I'm thinking back on that game. Notre Dame the winner. And that second night was a backhand goal by McLaughlin. Was it? Not. Backhander. That's what I remember broke down while ago king, but it was a goal by Madurai one goal by McLaughlin, get my sheep here. We're not sure why he was still out on the ice with Sheehy out there. But. Cooking that he was. Is. Samples. Eighty will toss it in the Bobby allies dock after it all turned over here. Shot just wide if they all rosy way down the left wing boards to keep playing ally. From Minnesota Roman co with it. Dancing around in the left corner. In behind the goal fines. Ryan Norman related to the blue line for stuck. You'll bump up back down low Nardello, we'll send it on round. He's on a role model annoy and they go to day in their own zone. Gophers making a change extra real estate for Notre Dame to take advantage of as across the goal for blue and just give it away. But they do grab it back into the left corner. And behind the Minnesota gophers breaking it off. But as related to the point Delo hazard his shot. It's is all man slayer Jordan front slider will grab it. Brought along rising slapshot from the blueline is weight into the globe. Matt robson? Wally. I wrote down. Here breakaway backhand shots slot. So I'm thinking you've got to feed on the right side back in south bend Notre Dame, Indiana streaked in on the right side cut to the middle and backhands one pass was at Morris that night. Yup. The sweet goal. Nineteen fifty three the game winner. Gophers winning both of those games. Notre Dame five to one in the first game. They build a four nothing lead in that one. And then that cold two to one game and French was just talking about. Gophers one to take a weekend. Sweep on the road. Just like last week. Broaden Minnesota's on now by Matt Alex. Down to the corner for O'Leary back to heloc son who stole in for the defenseman. Alexander whipped back onto the point for Delo his shot blocked off the skate. Balsas out the center ice gates almost got around the last guy, and he had she breaking but it didn't get through. And instead motored incomes shot right into the breadbasket goalkeeper Robson who hold on. Well, I'd like to tell you what Notre Dame's offense looks like tonight. But. I have seen a little bit of his time. I guess three shots from forty feet. And that's about it. That's opponent. Frank. Day. Honestly, they look a little sleepy. They do look a little sluggish share tonight and got some so far taking advantage of it. With a to nothing lead to goals. I just six shots. Now, there's another attempted shop at arises way over top of the gopher goal by Jeff Jenkins and a captain on Mr.. Minnesota just gave it away back in their own zone. Jenkins had lost it Burke, grabs it, and here comes Nathan Burke. He's got one of the two goals over his right shoulder of the waste is inaccurate Walker there for support gets it along the left wall tied up now by two Irish players. Flung in behind the net. Or it's taken out by the defensemen Nate Corman. He turns it over gophers regaining button. It bounces off his stick grabbed up by Jenkins. Notre Dame player just turned into the gopher rule on and has often line or they've been guilty of a number of turnovers tonight. The white mcglaughlin feathers behind the net down deep door defenseman. He was getting deep now. Now, they got go allow three Kim. These holes. Break-up a play at center ice. But then it takes a favorable balance for Colin Tyson who comes early. Great. Save awful. Cal burke. There's a goaltender who's in the game right there. He hasn't had much to do except stop long shots that he rob Burke. Boy that was a good test. Minnesota back on the lush crossing. The blue line are offsides. Scott ridi thing of a little bit instead of going rate in its offside four Levin remaining in the opening period. It's nothing gophers. This is golden gopher hockey from learfield. IMG college. Northern equipment. We in the boy's head out to tailgate today and find some other fans that are spot. Well that happens during for the wrong team, more even worse. "A goalie switch for the Michigan wolverines compared to the last time. The gophers played them the freshman stroz man played in both of those games. But tonight, it is a junior. Hayden Levin getting the starting nod. Meanwhile, Matt Robson goal for the golden, sir. Buckle down. And we are underway comes back to the defense. When Joseph's accounting who gets it over to the dynamic Quin Hughes. Outstanding player was younger brothers baby. Number one overall draft pick in the NHL coming up this June. Here. Come the gophers outta their zone. Look on the left wing side. Shoot out the glass, he was partially deflected office. Coney Nelson county behind his goal. Try to get it up the boards and does for we'll Lockwood rubbed dumped into the Minnesota by Jack Becker. I take possession from him. Both teams came long breakaway pass. Just misses gates. All the way down as he's the first floor back after it tied up momentarily along the boards in its third. Oh to center ice gophers going DVD, souls Dourthouse it up the right side swooping McManus dropping it off one on the right side in Thailand, he has a long pass miss everybody. Iceland's waves off sample rate gets it on the fourth quite playoff the board. But it's kicked off or bought up ice. By the wolverines before they the hand it right back to Minnesota's defense. Thank you very much. Novak will relay it. In back behind goal is Jack Sobers offense went for the wolverines got it at the center gopher quake it up. Novak quickly starts Ranta away down the middle. His glasses off of suburbs and goes wide. Phillips pitches in punch back down the left wing corner for Rachel. Doc off and try to clear it out the veteran and steady defenseman Nichols Boca has it. But we do have a whistle on the play on. Pretty pretty much a minute. Forty three seconds of play to the left of the Minnesota. Blue light. I've done a very good job controlling the puck. Need to give a couple of lineup. Updates for the wolverines. Key among them. Josh norris. Yeah. Out of the lineup and has not played hockey since world junior tournament where he was injured apparently will be going surgery, and that's it for the year for him. Yeah. This is too bad from world determined. He was leading score at the time to really takes a lot of Warri lineup middle of the year. He had nine goals in Tennessee's nineteen points at the middle of the year. That's healthy bumpers. Sure are. Play remains in the wolverines all Jack Sadiq pitches down deep into the corner. Somebody's lots of stick Burghausen falls was me. Just couldn't quite the slot. Otherwise, you would have had a great scoring jams. Nonetheless, you didn't get it on. But it is cleared off the goalkeeper in autozone. Turnover. There's a shot on goal and a nice day by his first early tasks. Good. Remember what we were talking about? How many pieces of bacon? Matt Robson is saved. There's another one. Yep. Or the other end. Here's a shot taking advantage of that is cute by the warring defense is going to be. This defense optional here tonight. I guess. Well, yeah. I don't think the coach is really want to go at it that way. Teams have been recruited to go north. I mean, we have a bunch of defensive-minded coaches are programs air. No, they don't Michigan is we checked before the game. When Mel Pearson is a team really likes to take a lot of shots or aging thirty seven shots at night. Second best in the nation behind Penn State and the gophers are given up thirty three. So this out of the race. There's another shot on the wolverines and turn away by wraps up. Julia Lambert, you think that hit him in the mask. Sure gophers had a four man wash. Join Jack Ramsay will send it down the boards looking for reading the quarter. Go to the end Lambert picks up the puck on the right wing side flies off to the left side of the ice far for Birdman warrant. The door. Sounds it up the right wing boards. Jack Ramsay takes off his skates clears to center ice. Why Norman is there to help oaks on the right side? One again four cuts. A goalkeeper save. And then a totally forthcoming on interference. Job by Ryan Norman down there. Good. An obvious call by the official on that interference at center ice. It was a big time yet. But the gophers will go to the first power play this game at three thirty three. And with the wolverines short who's in the box. They're win boring..

"Our second segment Bob Bennett, I did talk a little bit about the the past weekend series against Wisconsin. The split there's some good and bad news out of that besides a win and a loss. But we got two of our injured players back in the lineup. Ryan Norman back daring Roman cope. Both of those are seniors came back for the weekend games. But then Sammy Walker suffering an injury in the Saturday night game. So just an update of what you saw from the two guys coming back and Sammy going out. I thought nor me had a great great to have him back, and he gave us juice and energy when he was back in the lineup. And in grad a great goal force huge Gulf war on on Friday night. And then we got back Quebec in on Saturday. And I thought he was very effective for being five weeks, and it was great to have him back. And then, of course, was Sammy goes down. And I think that right now all indications is he'll be back this week. You know, there's precautionary. Things in but by Wednesday should be good to go. And it's just unfortunate because product could used them in that fourth. Speed score a Sammy's just been we'll lineup. The can't no no team could afford to lose players, but Sammy's just so important to us. And especially when he goes down on a on a Friday night. To the next night where sometimes if you have a week to practice and move things around, and and get people in the right seats and get acclimated, but that's part of sports and that happens, and it was it did have an effect on us. And you know, I I don't know how much of the game that you covered. But I thought it was a. I was questioned too. I I had some negative comments about our win on how we played in very good comments on our loss. But you know, what? And then when you break them down on film. We're exactly out. We were very opportunistic opportunistic Friday night. And got the juice called the big story to me is the building was on fire. Yeah. Unbelievable crowds. What a great student section. We had and Saturday when you came through. It is a it's an adrenaline rush for our players and all of us in the people in the building to to have that back was a great feeling. I'm just we left them hanging Saturday. A lot of people sick. I'm still sexual up. You going to put up with that? This has been a non we there's been like a month and a half. Now, it feels like I've been battling this. But. Our guys on Saturday night. We had some guys that had excellent games. And yet, you know, we turn the puck over on the kind of scrambling goal. They got to go to review, and I still haven't seen the overhead. But I'm sure that it was real unfortunate play we had to very poor back checks but outside of that. I mean, we can't afford to give up four goals at home, especially when we win the special teams battle both night. And we didn't give up go on the penalty kill all weekend. Scored one shorty three power play goals on on on Saturday. I have a hard time with our law Saturday. This year. We shouldn't have been making a couple of those mistakes that we made their kids. It happens. The boy after the game I had to take a deep breath before I want an address the team, and I couldn't I I honestly couldn't be that negative because we had so many guys raise their game that night and in it was the best game. I saw Tommy Novak play in in my time here being back gopher coach. Where you know. He's a Wisconsin kid. I thought he just raised it. I thought ramp Lincoln and gates and they kept getting better all weekend. We're just we're we're great. That was the normal was outstanding. And that was a team trying to build and former identity in kit over I just thought we had far too many guys have superior nights in give us the effort that that that needed more than the three mistakes we made a really 'cause we didn't make any more besides that. And the crowd was into it. And we hit for pipes or something crazy. We you know, we could have gotten four or five pretty easy. But I didn't like we gave up four. Well, looking ahead. Now, we have the Michigan wolverines coming in. And the gophers played them right before the the semester and Christmas break. First game was a two two tie and Minnesota losing in the three on three extra overtime period and in winning four to three. So that was a win and a tie on the road, which is as we all know, very difficult to do. But they it was good to come back and go into the break with that kind of feeling at that time. Well, it was it was definitely that was to me the big. Biggest win of of our young season at that point was that that came Saturday night in Michigan great field to you'll get those every once in a while on the road. When no one else is around is just your team in the locker room. And there's a there's an emotional. You know, we we we felt it at Notre Dame. But that that Saturday game in Michigan was was big for us. And I still think that that feeling still within our team that that a lot of belief in there. But here we sit and we talked about last week sixteen really your are separated by five points in three point league in in. So we sit there twenty four points in Michigan with twenty one. So we one game separates us big weekend. And we're all knocking each other over, and that's that's the good and the bad right now is they'll like Michigan last week wins. Five to one loses five to two. At Penn State, and in that has just the theme right now. And we've got you know, we we are sitting there were three of classes in our last four were back at home. We gotta get right back in the saddle and and and continue to play good hockey. And and continue to keep our as high as we can stay in the standings right now. Because I think our playoffs are wide open. Yes. They are and stay healthy and continued to grow as a team and get ready for the playoffs. Well, you mentioned the three losses in the last four games. But uncharacteristically to is the gophers of given up a lot of goals in that those four games. So that's a four point five, and that that's just not the way this team has been going all year has been very good defensively. And you know, what I did we did we did through the Michigan state series in the garbage cannon, and we didn't dwell on a lot of numbers. But you can't hide in the three wins prior where we'd beaten Penn State Notre Dame. We gave up three goals in three wins one each night. And now we've given up eighteen goals in four games and. That's true. We got it. Now, we have to address that. And we've got to step back your little, you know. So some. We've got to have some we have to have some ground rules set how we're going to compete defensively in protecting the park and and are back. Check industry is reestablished what we'd done because I really think for most of the year we were holding teams around two and giving us a chance and was offense while we're scoring more now, and it also coach is going to tell you this too in hockey that you hit the you hit the the dog days of we were hitting it, and we're just hopefully coming out of it. Now our first full week back in school in. It's a real thing. This isn't a coach's thing trying to make an excuse. Our season is so darn long that in in the the the attention and the effort in the execution and the battle in our league wears on teams. And you all go through it. We all do. I just happened to be hitting us right now. I do believe we're going to pull back out of it. I think this was a good weekend because we did score a lot of goals. Nothing. Feels better for players in scoring goals in the crowd, but our attention to detail and back to being more focused as a team that will put a lot emphasis over the next two weeks. You talk about the before we head to break here. Just one more thought on the attention to detail and. Hitting those dog days with a veteran team like like the gophers have with nine seniors on this quad. Which is third most in the country. Does that help to get through the dog days? Well, we're. So, you know, I just think you go through it in. It's hard to it's hard to explain. But, you know, hey, we all live in the state in you come out. You know, you come out of the building after practice dark, and you know, it's colder. And when we're on break, I'm telling near campus is empty. You're going back to a dorm that's empty empty. You're going back to your apartment and no one's around your apartment for four or five weeks at this goes on. I think he. Movie shining. You of go through a little, you know, that's when it starts to happen. And like all of us in our lives routine is great when you get back to going to class again and in vibrancy around and maybe your girlfriends back on campus, and in we're getting that back, but this I'd be teams go through it. And and for us it affected us in our in our detail. So we'll get back. We'll take one more break and come back with head coach Bob Moscow right after this break from learfield. Gopher.

"Hello, again, hockey fans and welcome back to marina mail YouTube along with Frank and pack Nikolai, we got the fall of this weekend's match up between these two long standing border battle idols. Fifty six series. You say Frank. Yes, sir. Six years. I should say fifty six seasons right since the modern era in the mid sixties. Okay. Do you want to guess how many I'm gonna guess I'm trying to figure down years from Minnesota down here? I'm gonna go with a relatively low number fourteen right slower than that. Six. There's only been six years. We're one school or another has has swept the year. Gophers have done it five times. Once badgers have only done it one. Wow. Wow. And the last time it happened was two thousand three I mean, that's how long ago. Yeah. Sixteen years ago that one of the schools let let's not forget Jackson her Brooks. Yeah. All right from the opening faceoff gopher bring it in the in boards and try a shot gore. But it's off target goes wide backup to the left point. No that tries to send it in for a sample, Ranta Brenta pack up along the boards is checked off the play. And Wisconsin comes back Sean duty one of their top snipers. Dumps it in all five foot three of them he centers, but it's grabbed off in Minnesota comes back on the right side, launches along the blue line in Jack berry, we'll take no chances in cover this up Tyler she he tried to break. A bit of a drought theory is gone eight games without a goal, but he does have points in the last three consecutive games. When I look at the lineups, Pat, and Wally I just I see Minnesota with a lot of firepower and better goaltending. Yeah. You would. You'd want. This cannot be close. It's going to be I you're probably right. And the key for me this series is how well does Minnesota get on their defense. And I think I think it's I think Wisconsin saying the same thing whoever can get to the other teams the fans at four check is going to come out. On the winning side this weekend. Play goes off to the side of the Minnesota net. It's worked back up onto the left point a long shot from there was right in Robson kill bold both teams can score. No recently. The gophers of town away to do that. But Wisconsin's averaging three points six goals per game, which is sixteen. The nation should be one engaged. Yeah. We've known this for the last three four maybe five years is that their their defense and goaltending has been their nemesis. And they've always had the guys up front that could put it away. So you're right. The goal keeping their goals against average is three point one four which is forty I in the countries that has been a weakness. They do have to netminders junior barriers in tonight. The other one is done Lebedev and he's a freshman. Pobably will play tomorrow night, depending on how this one goes. Well, I can I can tell you. Wisconsin's got off to a good start this far. I only ones there those pucks on the goaltender. Icing. Call against Minnesota will spot a face off back to the left of their netminder. Matt Robson, I will be a pardon me for smack in my lips. Are I will be interested in getting some of your thoughts on whether you see Minnesota's Deekor settling down a little bit. Playing more within their means and making better. Right. Rearrangement of lines for the golden gophers tonight and actually taking his face off with Blake mcglaughlin, you'll move over onto the right side and scout radio will be the center on this line. And they're joined my Brendan McManus on the right wing. He can't get after a loose puck at center ice, Walt cow neck has it for Wisconsin, a smooth skating. High scoring defencemen brings them all the way across the Minnesota line launches on dole. Robson the save and hold on again. Finish up a little bit on the lines. You were talking about Nathan Burke, Minnesota's freshman on the winger from Scottsdale. Arizona out Gill. Moscow said he was going to break up that BMW line anyway going into the week. But that puts Brad Pitt lake at center with the freshman speedster. Sammy Walker on the right and breakage junior on the left there. Those guys get their feet going tonight is going to play havoc on on Wisconsin. Gophers trying to get on their defense. Just like you've pointed out guys and also what Bob Moscow did. And a couple of our players from comments earlier in the week. Here's Garret wake breaking it up handing it off. Now to Jack Ramsay he reaches center, ice and flings it in the forward on that line is Ryan Norman who's been out the last four games due to injury. So he is settling the fourth line for the gophers. Pucca step down to the Minnesota's all by line is wise Bach. He missed seven games due to an injury as well this season. So they really wanted to get him back in the lineup. One of their top scores line is wise Bach. Up the left wing side brought into the Minnesota zone by Sean doogie checked off the play but the badgers will play back to the defense. They start up the left side broaden, the gopher end wise buckshot this deflected off of Robson and of.

"It's got a top prize of one hundred thousand dollars because fortune favors the bold and the bowl get out and play. Minnesota lottery must be eighteen or older to play. Zero zero score here midway through hockey gave me ten Minnesota and Notre Dame. Michigan is just gotten a goal from Jake slicker. About halfway through their second period to tie, Ohio State after Freddie Gerard scored. His third goal of the season six minutes into the game. So we're in the second period over at Ohio State on it's one one Michigan and the buckeyes and Frank said zip zip here. And you can see why to the top three goalies in the country of shutouts going right now. Kale Morrison dole for Notre Dame not Watson for the golden? Gophers more second in the conference in goals against and as percentage Robson third in bowl Tantalus. Show with a nice glove. Save from that shot inside the left circle from Cam Burke. I would technically say that was going to go wide of the nets. Nonetheless, still a great athletic move by Robson. Counted as a shot on goal. Yup. All right. We'll get him back in Iraq. Rob. She'll artificial official statistician is here enjoying this weekend series. A little talk with rob after a way forever. Tell you through. Oh, they're great. Our our home is affiliated crew outstanding. Fighting Irish coming across the line of Lanka will a hardware store wide. Eliminate sorta. Zoning off the boards. All Tommy Novak. There is the gopher center. Ranters shoots. It in jumped around the defense now working on peak is they collide in behind me. Notre Dame goal. Gophers pick it up. Forty five camera shot. Mcmanus? Oh, excuse me was the zodiac. I thought it was too to. Great celebrations goes here. His first goal of the year. I call it poli. We don't mean just a year. We meet his first goal in a year. How 'bout that? While I was talking about little bit earlier about the author of so pressure that McManus had to apply. He was the one who helped dick that went out back behind the net. Trying to pick a number of the gopher who was hey granted was down there. He went in on peak. But you know, what Tommy did so well Frank he backed up he was between the hash marks. But he backed up to count himself. And in the past Kim from shark one. I'm just not used to see Novak store. Dole's McManus apologize. You know, Barry back and river. Fall. You're going to hear from the Italian. The guy doesn't get a goal at eight hundred and fifty eight days. Beddis on sorry. No box. But anyway, you cut it. It's one nothing gophers, and that's the best part. But honestly while I was right with you. I thought it was. And Randa get the assist that was a well-worked players actually three onto once it cross. Atlanta did the smart play by dumping it in and going after behind. Now Graham can't get to a long pass they wave off icing. I don't know how the heck that was ever possible. Because the gopher poor was way, it'll be. Notre Dame player. Here comes reading into the attack on. Scott ridi backhands it down into the corner. Jack Ramsay goals in two straight games for the gophers working the wall. Carat weight comes over as well. Wait hasn't played in a whole lot of games. Just once in the last five gopher contests. Comes off the ice. But he's in the lineup tonight. As Ryan Norman is okay. With an injury. Gophers backup ice pouring into the attack tone Hunnicutt around the net. And it came through the crease but held in at the left point by doors. His pasta gates is blocked gets it back again. Down and Cam Morrison now tries to come up ice for Notre Dame. But not any further than set then strips it away, here's a chance for the Irish across the line by Cal Berkeley went wide on it. Get a three on one unfolding. Tyler she he brings Minnesota cross center shot his offer pecan behind the net. She healed they're pounding guys. Senator. To save by kale Morris, and suddenly the momentum in this game is definitely the gophers flavor. Minnesota's Burton deflect one. Indeed linesman was looking back at a raft. To again, a too many men on the ice call against the gophers coaching staff for the Irish not very happy about that. As in the Notre Dame zone. Minnesota in control. Mclaughlin, McLaughlin, turns a pack behind the net for Burke, Nathan Burke checked off the plane go first pitch down and keep the play. Indeed, good job there by clay Phillips, look at this freshman line dig. True. Freshman defense with his five freshmen here role behind the Minnesota goal. And it's taken out by the Irish here's Jack Jenkins. Hammered by Brickman, the laborious GECAS centers and expand onto the gophers. Come back three onto pass the Walker. Good catch up there. Penser? Stacey. Not related to the famous. I ask is behind the play. We have apparently being called against the gophers. I believe it's the gophers very pointed. The slashing penalty coming up. Okay. We'll be back for the games. I power play after this time out from learfield..
