Julie Kelly: There Is No Bombshell Takeaway From Jan. 6 Committee

"What's the great takeaway from this Julie Kelly that is a bombshell that we were supposed to learn Well there is no bombshell The bombshell is this is a continuation of russiagate the same interests who brought us the greatest fraud perpetuated on the American people between the Department of Justice House Democrats and the media did it again this week Mark you had two indictments this week to bolster what this committee was doing last night You had Monday the grand jury indictment announced by Matthew graves to D.C. U.S. attorney handling 800 plus cases Bringing forward seditious conspiracy charges the rarest of crimes against 5 Proud Boys and then that was sort of the focus of last night's hearing Then you also have the arrest of Ryan Kelly Republican candidate for Michigan governor Mark they've had information about his whereabouts at the capitol protest since the day it happened Nothing new there But yet they waited until the day of the hearing to raid his house the FBI raid his house and announce misdemeanor charges against him This is the same collaboration We have seen for years And because none of them have been held accountable it has all been accelerated and now you see the media going along with it giving airtime Unprecedented airtime to this show performance that we saw last night that did nothing to move the needle except justify I think forthcoming charges against Donald Trump and just try to put a stake in the heart of the maga movement

"If you see something you don't like happening with the machines if you see something going on I'm playing from the wall Kelly is now promoting a Republican led effort in the state to recruit 5000 people to work the polls in this fall's election So here is the concern for the government officials running elections this year Could some election denier end up working for them On the front lines in the hyperlocal jobs that keep America's election machinery running County clerks like Justin roebuck are already preparing for that possibility This is America and we don't stop voting for anything COVID doesn't stop us from voting the Civil War didn't stop us from voting tornadoes and floods don't stop us from voting And here is roebuck's tip for Ryan Kelly Unplugging the voting machine will do nothing more than activate the battery power on the voting machine And people will keep voting Like Kelly robux a Republican He's the guy who administers the elections here in Ottawa county Michigan And when you walk into his office one of the first things you will notice is all the Abraham Lincoln collectibles Tell me aged do you have one two maybe some volumes up there I am obsessed with Abe but people give me Abe things 'cause they know that Start collecting the greatest stuff At least you're easy to shop for Right Roebuck's office is neat and tidy just like his haircut and tortoiseshell glasses This is a man who appreciates order and ever since the 2020 election he's gotten frustrated with just how much his job has changed because of all the election misinformation out there People are calling us still We're having conversations still about 2020 That has not gone away I'm estimating my team is spending about 25% of their time dealing with the 2020 election Still Today But roebuck says he is not going to turn down any of those conversations I'm going to tell you the truth including things that you do not want to hear from me sometimes right I think we've had a lot of conversations with folks who do get upset when I push back and I say that's actually a lie You've been lied to And if anyone still believes those lies and wants to be a poll worker in his county roebuck says he is ready for them Then our goal tonight is to not scare you off He's changing up his poll worker training sessions teaching people what to do if a poll worker were to try to interfere.

It's always just feeding a lot. And i didn't realize how much i was speeding until capital me over. And he you know you're abs absolutely not I don't know and he goes well just to put it in perspective for you. The person next to you was also speeding at eighty five. But you pass them like they were standing still and i was like all so i was impressive. as i yeah i felt like i was setting records and in missouri. He he he. He wrote we the ticket. He's like. where are you coming from. My grandma's die. He's like okay. Cool and i was like thanks was just like that happens. It's like add Oh doesn't totally blast me. I think he put me like eighty nine. Which is just where like. You're not gonna be arrested. Essentially grandma was this closely. She was eighty six. That would have been poetic. If he'd been like. I will write you a ticket for her I'm sorry i know it's too. It might be too soon here. I don't mean different are you. Can i add an uncle passed away. Let like huey best way this year. He one hundred and three. No no. i'm sorry to disappoint. who cares. use actually passed away of dementia. And and one of the things that i said as soon as i got the text from my mom is like hey i go well. That's kind of fitting because for the last couple years. He hasn't known where he is now. None of us know worries. And i feel like this is. Our family is just as soon as something happens. Jokes are ready Yes that's that's very much mine as well. We we like to coat our sadness with lots of sugar and lots of humor. It's just it's more delicious that way. I mean it goes down more easier swallow. Yeah that's it. that's it. Spoonful of sugar helps the depression. Go down. I think marriage just a little bit of depression interesting though i will say interesting that you speed when you're sad because in the moments where i've experienced true sat pure sadness. I slow down like i use. I'm a speeder. But then when. I'm sad i catch myself going. Probably sixty five to sixty five. Which normal me wouldn't do is not yet. That's not part of the like the you know for me. I think that it was just like maybe it's like running away from your problems or it must've been like it just wanting to like get something accomplish get home. I think it was probably at but yeah yeah man. I don't know why. I speedup apparently more and or i just kept it regular to be honest. I'm not really sure i i. I go fast. But i wish i didn't but no no no no..

That's not good like you. We hit hard. That's the thing is you. Can i think if you're a shorter person. You can have a little more grace and slide into the trip but if your ass hall and i always had a problem with my gates i always tried to walk with a little bit more swagger than i should so then when i did hit a crack i would go like and a whole like a little chicken trying to megan. Just oh oh my guys So so i definitely feel. But i also i'm so delighted because one of the things that have recently found one of the treasures that i have dug up is the good the dan and the florida. Man which is a phenomenal. Podcast and i started listening from episode one where it seems like you guys have evolved with different segments since then but you still kept some of the classics like storytime were you and other comedians. Dan and ben and all my gosh their last names escape me but that doesn't matter because they're not on this podcast. It's ryan kelly. That's fair if you need help though it's daniel spencer and ben brainard and are they are great. It is so much fun to get to like play with them every week and have fun. You guys have just updated to having little challenges scavenger hunts. that is what we weren't expecting is that there is a group that we do not know. There's a group. i think. Six to eight of them and there they go by absolutely not labs because we during like villanova formed like some an email address west for your name and they just put absolutely not and so they that there's a group of them that like watch the podcast come together and then create challenges for us and it is so much fun we love them so much and it was the weird thing. "A certain point you get to the realization that the way that people see you is the way that you are perceived in the world in a certain point like no matter how much you perceive yourself differently. Lean into it like especially for comedy and they felt like something i definitely linked into. So yeah yeah. I think that's a very wise thing to do. In a very mature thing to do. And i think for me i especially with this long hair. I used to look not homeless before. But now if i'm on stage i will acknowledge the fact that i look like. I hand out turkey. Legs at the renaissance festival berries. Very medieval vibe going on here. It's i think it's turning a little bit in jesus so maybe this can be a. This is a weird combination of we've got jesus passed around like. Hey whatever. I am here to spread the word of the podcast. I'm glad that you have heard my call ryan because it's been it felt like a really a heavenly call so here i am. Oh man what a what a celestial time we will have and Speaking of celestial. I know you were born in saint louis missouri and you were almost called to very soon. I know As a as a child you had caloric stenosis which took me about an hour to be able to say without stuttering the top. Yeah yeah and you carried on. You persevered Since the time of birth you were basically showing some grit here. It's just been all near death experiences for like all of my life. Like i mean yeah. We had paperwork stenosis. But also i was born early. I was induced early. And i had premature lungs because my dad wanted to go to vegas. That's not a joke. That's just a real part of my life asia gambling on more than he thought. Yeah way more than he thought anna and they poorly so yeah. I was in like the little. Icu as a baby. They were just like okay. Well he's not great at this grade. This whole breathing thing. And then i know you also i just watch the story that you told about surviving a plane. Crash is well which. I am terrified of heights. I've been trying to conquer some of those fears by doing some things like my wife and i. We just went skydiving three weeks ago and we went on a hot air balloon the week after that to be honest with you. The hot air balloon was way more terrifying the skydiving. That makes way more sensitive. Because i've been skydiving but i haven't been in a hot air balloon but there's something about the hot air balloon lake. I don't know it just feels shifty and it's also like you've got edges all or i don't like edges personally. I light like once you're falling. I'm like well we're falling but there's something about edges man. Thank you for articulating that that might be my fear. I'm afraid of edges and ledges those things because i see people in was a hot air balloon. It was one of the biggest in the world and so they had that it. Was this like basket. It looked like you could serve a subway sandwich on it and it was. It was like cornered. So my wife. And i were in a corner and there were two other people in each corner in about twenty six of us so you see people that are leaning over the edge taking pictures with their phone. And i'm just like don't do that. What are you doing. 'cause you're gonna phone you're gonna fall over and it's just going to be it's not gonna be good. It's not as bad. It's the fear of going to fall. Not the fear of ball links. What's i'm falling like jumping out of a plane. I'm fine but like edges cliffs edges of like things like that. Yeah man not not at not at i. I must confess In the spirit of being pastor..

"Of cows but pretty pretty excited about the journey. I'm on at the moment. Well as we all know that In life it's about timing and it would seem that Years again nick ron. You've arrived at a time when you light. Is ben show. The football clouds is on the rise. for many many people including those make it they business to have an opinion on it. They say that the club is on its destination upwards op too. Many years of on the down It must be tremendously exciting. Debate applies where failing dynamic. I imagine it's it is tiny mike points. The we related to twelve months ago in there were a lot of questions about the club. The sentiment was not very high amongst this supported by performance. Just wasn't there in in two thousand twenty and with With dan rotten. The new saney coaches is really had a step china and Material impact on the entire plant group in the club. More broadly in as credit. So xichang. last say y'all know Is the new president of the club. We're really china that shift to now. It's a it's a very authentic fog will stall publ that we ply. It's got real aggression in scoring pal. Which is being removed to some degree from from footing in recent years. you know. it's very defensive style so the white we're opening up the game implying. Got people really excited. You know we're a very young group and then from the other side in the business. We celebrate one hundred fiftieth year next year. Which is one of the oldest. Sporting clubs in the world is massive for us in them with certain stepping to the i w competition. We're gonna bay fell. Wbz now that to sip in the women's competition at the end of next year. Off the back of one. Hundred fiftieth This lock the lock your about with the clubs going not just remote performance saad but assad will broadly such not may. That's that's huge lake. Sonic great opportunities. Great experience and sued you'd be attached to to the is a sandwich one of the biggest sporting brands all just custodians of the brand when we're working with them and maya role and opportunity amongst all these benefits the recurring at the moment is is incredible. couldn't be grateful that the bombers to give me the chance and yet it's it's exciting thompson. I'm excited to be on his journey. When you look football clubs in particular the one. I love. I think you do too. It's going through a massive china at the moment and ucon new coach eventually all new assistance. Kenneth supercar team turn itself around like that. Yeah look often. Good a a great example. And it's it's not necessarily turn around but you look at the association that the kelly's have with the groves and It said the investments and supportive of stephen and brenton grove to that team Will certainly help drive. That forward die will from financial perspective. You look at you. Look at deja win pinski. Climbing old is years ago and how quickly they could do that. And you know this this a real obvious Anchor funding is one of those k- aspects. It's it's really one of those things that to be consistently competitive you really donating vestment dollars but you look you look at people like And so that knicks obviously moving on from that team. But you look. He's continued competitiveness in. That car is being really impressive but to be consistently performing an emirati. Pointy ends The money is is required. But you can see how quickly that could be turned around and pravada opportunities but you know a money guy you like it or not it. It is a money the sport you can. You can spend infinitely but equally if you've got the money to start with your your much applies to be in that highly competitive position and you've gone from a sport that was always talking about bringing salary caps and and spending limits to a sport that has and obviously that means the more money you bring in at. Your end is more prophet more money for the club to operate in its wad of inches. Yeah it's that's right. That's the advocating about clubs. You know we we certainly Pincher out welby jones. I guess you call it. Traditional business applicable and wearing to a host of inches which A number of iphone club stood aside. It's it's mike. Sure that you've got the funding s- for Secure for the future and mike. Show that lock anything. You've you've got the money that you're aquatic debate competitive and challenging in the industry and certainly for math Applying perspective they assay a capital. On what you can span across your department and also the plane group. And that's taught controlled always pod this backing while us. What it bain. When we tried to bring the the caps in the su- 'cause motivation by nearly dice maybe six thousand sixty thousand seven or whatever it was when the introduction was was implemented. I think it was not a member of the few months talk. I think it was only song discussion. Around what a spending cap would be out of the technical aspects of the so-called business and then there was exemptions around commercial and nothing contains just become clever and everything started funneling through commercial and after a few months time it was identified there to just be impossible to police sucks. You know the the businesses say. Because i guess where you can restrict Type that batteries incan 'introducing as control pops around that that limit the abilities or capacity foot the teams to be going in and developing those individually. I think that's that's a bit applies to do it because being able to police Teams in and how they're going about spending if this so many freedoms it just doesn't happen but obviously the fills worked out the soft cap pod caps and put in place those regulations to stop their team's going on what normally conceded races it totally. It's extremely well controlled but also easy to control anything like every other club your order every aram you spending in that ensures that no clubs guy rogin in what they doing and Governance areas and you penalties assigned to be that you wouldn't trade that path at clubs have certainly done so in. the pasta. felt the financial implication of doing site. So this wiser can whip for As it's a very good system in the nfl around controlling the expenditure and how that looks and soupy becaase just telling teams that you can only spans whatever it is to tame that you can spend six million dollars all seven right me. Whatever it might be It just doesn't work. You know. I think you you've gotta have taught a regulation and controls on the vehicles and it doesn't across the everything it just needs to be areas of limitation and It's also technology pop We were always are membrane in older discussion. I rolled the dice. Holly refined Technological base that we were rising to that need to be saw extensive in terms of what they the technology was in saw is cows because not only is it technology expensive as development. It's the resource and people that you need to bring to actually figure things out and You know that was just you turn around for one second in the pits and suddenly you've just got a massive group of people that cost a significant amount of money. But you know it's it's it's pretty different win you going rising every week and then you have to travel with. When we're the kelly's we were forty forty five through forty five to fifty paypal. Probably that we're going to rice events. Now you think of justice. The shia cost of celery travel combination food before. You're even developing the car. That doesn't leave a whole lot in the kitty. So hint hint. The big teams can thrive in control. Any money i lock in in new possible regulate because in the mid. "Club looking after all the revenue from ola membership will lapse. I'm sponsorship commercial kyrie's rising different areas that's the skills that are guiding saudi Really well fits stepping into this rollins the way we should now with the bombers name every club yours is care but every club. Carlton hyyndai has a cass sponsor. Supercars struggle to keep one or two. What is it. that isn't an offers. Cast supply. I guess we kind of call them manufacturer but casablanca australia. That super teams can't or don't just firstly on that point where we used to be. We were care until two thousand in saint. Now we're actually one of the few clubs without i Automated sponsor this probably to the tune of retain ten ordinary brands. Within a an. I fell club. I think the to put some signs around. Wadia is without their huge membership and support advice per club drives significant sows opportunities for these automated brands. That's the way that these brands work. It's not just about short is to some degree about the exposure and visibility that you get through association with one of the clubs and you'll say a number of clubs have over ninety brands on the playing kit but it really does stand back to the volume of sales opportunities that you can drop for these brands and the spoiled supercars. The i guess the the added challenge to some degree is it's it's not just about a brand association with the sport. It's really that identity that needs to be boarding to as well so yeah. It's not just promoting the brand. You're actually driving for the brand. Which i would argue in in a lot of species is even more compelling ops. It's a huge leap of fife to convince a manufacturer brand to coming into actually into the car into the market and be confident about their abilities to succeed and You know the rules bang applicable that allow you you to on any given day successful That's that's another huge element that that's really differentiates what i am. I fell automatic. Relationship would look like side. It's one of those that you would hug. The sport there was always when i was there ongoing conversations with a number of odi brands. And you gotta get your timing rot. You know now's a really challenging period to do that with all the logistical challenges of automotive brands in his country and being able to shipping product in Anything like that needs to be the right timing with whatever the product ryan jeez and application to supercars and what you competing in the rules need to be supportive and Yeah it's a lot to lawn up. This is you know when when we got nissen and bolt mean the amount of ducks and had to be in iraq to support. That was unbelievable. And you know as many times through that process. We thought we were. We'll falling off today. The trying but sam thankfully thinks died strikes and the the papal mistrial. We were all in with us and really driving to succeed in what you saw was went one jumps in. We quickly had a pseudo. I guess mercedes because it helps. Funding pulled that program but me baalbek in the in the white climbing Yeah it just needs that. Sorta lake advice from one brand and then that can often open the opportunities business to business relationships commonplace across book. How does the membership to business offer up a whole different stratosphere of support. Yeah i'm this this a couple of things in in your meeting. I the Yes exactly yeah. Yeah that's i mean that's that's one of the big things that you have around. I felt clubs in. I'm sure a lot of people that listen to the fan zone. Lieto fans botts clubs of big businesses. They've got massive fan vices. Sit there and go As an example you might have three million newell of three point five million or something super fans which is massive massive numbers. It's one of the top fulton county. But you look at the identity of essendon football club in your parole Reports statistics Close to a million fans. Sol's nationally and that's that's a huge at member based and be driving those business opportunities and what sits on every club is a massive culprit network. It's not just she spaces. "Will. We will see if when we moved to nissen. We thought that the response of the public would be a contentious around at moved to to that win. The boys had i strongly linked to hold for a period of time. And that wasn't the case you know. The fan base was incredibly supportive. And that probably ryan trooper for the shift afford the that ford business was for one fully embracing and absolutely brilliant from the initial phases when we explored the opportunity to to move into the mustang and You know a business to work within inside the fan by swiss was really supportive of that. Move because you know that could say the challenges that we were in and the opportunity to change direction for the the For the team was necessity one because of nissen's exit but also the right decision to go in and you know as volvo wonderful in that support you then wound up your time in supercars. How do you. I guess you never say never. But how do you look at that. Is that all packaged up. Now and You've done what you needed to do. All look at any may decide. Never i mean if i reflect back to my earlier comments where are saves That's all growing up. Supercars wasn't a passion for me. Well it it certainly is now and spain's the better of fifteen years in car racing Absolutely loved the sport. I love everything about it. I loved the competitiveness. I love the business. It sued the qazis. As real point of different. I think the unique benefits that this offers The the true engagement and passionate fan is like nothing. You'll say and and yeah i i absolutely adored montella because it's it's it's a big spot with a big commitment that that requires total focus and energy into that and and that Travelling i the better part of eighty to one hundred is or whatever mob a year Which which is exchange. You've got a young family and it was probably the raw. Tom win the families young to to consider alternatives. Things otherwise you. You don't really get to know your family but yes it was It was it was something. That's you know. I'll do said look back on and and love and are still cape very close connections to the sport. I still speak to a lot of people in the sports Just purely out of interest because You know i had a great career in and look back on a fumbling. now we get to. Its own way. You made the tradition from full wheels to At the very time when a strategy was going through the enormous botch twenty twenty the world exploded and the pandemic arrive. And you had to get your feet up and running very quickly in the new sport but only one let cuts besa. Because of the circumstances of white played beta with this dimick's in motorsport as i fell at the club's done amazing. You're incomplete nearly completing tuesdays. And you have to be encouraged by what is today. It's one of those things that if i look back to launching focused supercop team which was retarded i in in two thousand night so Joining football club two and a half weeks before the wilton upside down i think always somewhat will paid in intensive experienced day bots Cows know we. We experienced similar challenges. I ever everything sort of collapsed around this. The we had an app first year production games. We had for a period of time. You know fans at games named and everything was moved to queensland's A significant amount of challenges that that occurred there. I mean way we were lucky in a sense as as different to To supervise is playing on not to talk down in any comparison but wait. We just need to know ends. We need inaudible that we comply with the rock disabilities that allow us to get out games away whereas soupy because it's not that simple the the the shia movement of infrastructure and teams and The the nitra road rice tracks whether they're straight circuit whatever that my bay is is compounding and that say that was a very challenging period. I think you know the. Nfl did an absolutely exceptional job of getting what was last season. Why and certainly this season where we've been able to get a twenty two round season away slightly limited and restricted in various capacities. But more or less we got guys right now to to relate that to sitcoms i think bad job of being able to get the season of why and whatever form it is you know. It's it's really They've they've got a lot of things to protect. They've got a lot of tv broadcast assets. I need to protect a lot of michelle partnerships that the which over lights to the viability of running teams But also might wait for the fans you think when when people say the breadth of announcing the tight class from civic is periodically around movement of of events and everything that's happening and he's all about getting the shot and continuing the shock. It's very easy just to pack up bat and bowl and wrist on the sidelines period of time. But it's not all about just contractual agreements and things into about the shots of the fans. And i think they've done a super job of being able to deliver the shug in some form regularly. Either this what. He's two years and now you know there's modified into the season you even look at what they've been able to develop around bestest issue here in the six day. Countable what water coup for for the fans what an amazing products it would be. And as i fan and spectator on the sidelines. Genuine lakes audubon and credit to them. What they've been able to do so i think with both hands. Enormous challenge i but they still you period Extensively supercars of have have really struggling in some of those areas and had the challenge is up against them. But they're pretty good job. Let's deal now with maybe the differences between the two organizations. So you'd go one way. There's look the bits of mettler involved in trucks and also award lots isn't would have the lodge ituna than Kelly rising from an of A lot will people. Because you've you know fifty old pliers Is about the difference between you and a commercial aspect running your department in those different. Yeah the for sure. I mean when you look when you look at the basis of a club The tune ivories relates to asuka tame is chain of probably add multiple. Thaad tom Significantly more revenue. That goes through the clubs. You talking being membership s. And where. I am now which i also across. Old amendment ship sought about business. "Just just do it. And we'll figure out how to get there and you know we didn't have the budget of some of these big attains when you look at rollins when you look at paint ski when hey time in Even i obviously appeared of tom with With wall controls in the lock and we just have to find a. Why had we found a way to compete in it. It's you know it's a tough guy when he doesn't have the the big budgets because the big budgets if you if you can if you got the money and you can sit spend it in the right areas with some of my role and heads for such an extended period of time. It is incredibly hot to compete against them. And we always s spots a greater levels of success on the rights track but i think success over the period of the kelly's can be measured in in many ways You know we will first to bring that. You manufacturer in so With missing ends. You know what what todd primarily intensive establishing that development programming terms of building that engine program. I mean we had people globally look that engine program Even through the small business telling us that that that would take us the pot of ice months to two years to get fully established net with extensive number of engineers focusing on the program for short took extended time in in development. But the what the the small team people that we had Were able to achieve repeatedly With all the challenges that have throwing up being the business asuka. Supercars is incredible. And you know we had a lot of people that were at the At the tame cole the journey so to speak at that that certainly ride that y been way we bit off at every state where you think you can take a deep breath and and the football come off the pedal suddenly did we turn that around again and you know we. We bought off into the mall. We'd go malta's we would. we would. Do you know some something else. That really questions We say much you have been quite diplomatic they. You haven't talked about the fact that you announced almost twelve months before you put the nissen on the rice track that you were coming and that guy everyone twelve months to novel you. Yeah and it was. It was bloody tough way with campaigning. Hard there was look at eight if we look back at that period of there was an a lot of listeners would know well that the rules evolved and the rules assisted Further incumbent such as wayne arabists was able to answer with With gary was able to win with the ball. I lot that stemmed from the profound challenges the way encountered through that entire program. And you know we. We were running into that missing program with one hand tied behind our back. We just did every step we will getting knocked and it was costing us a significant amount of money and by the time some of the rules were adapted to assist some of these other players in the game. It was too late for us. We'd gone spent so much money and gone down a particular direction that it's not just as simple to use to change to china what you've done in china what you've established over that period of time suck it was. I think that's one of our things. Way the nascent pace would be probably close one about proudest moments but for what we were able to say. But it's also one of about mice rising and at times disappointing because We will significantly happening that program and it was simply unfair and know we had phenomenal opportunities with that program to you know to one we nissim back to the sport and ultimately that was also the coals of its decline. Because we weren't able to and other people have we're happy to kick us on the sidelines and sigh of someone else's during the program in old age things would would be to change success. Well i can tell you from from wave away went with the bison the challenge that we had it doesn't matter how much money in the world you would have had you was simply hampered to to bain holly competitive and that went back to the very base parts of it where you put your first engine up and they turn around said. Now it's going to be a push rod. Yeah well they got. And that's that's the That's the frustration. You know it was. It was a very difficult period. And i'd take my My hat off to the guys and know this is a real testament to the character. Rick and todd. And tom who took a lot of these sony shelby's yet he was the guy spearheaded all the developments and they just that the ability to keep going and keep plodding tug put himself got himself onto the commission into to try and find some balance to try and improve things but taty such equality person in that respect he never did it with a focus so lanes just on us he was always doing to the betterment amount of the support always acting paschel sometimes detriment but a lot of times he was just fighting and you know it was a constant battle a constant struggle extremely tarring bots he was he was is driving the fronts and any any day that you open the door you left the rick until would would buy still bay their side in a tree version of a later those those guys are ends united sam as i said it's something that was a really tough period but also incredibly rewarding in with some fantastic people in that nixon business throughout australia and also globally in it was something that all back with is a very fun tom regardless of the lack of results were able to achieve will you surprise rick their demise of kelly rights to become kelly grove racing and then just drove rising this evolvement surprise to all look i think if you if you look at it that the guys fist padre tot and todd had had a significant career in the sport had shapes phenomenal success of his career would night go down as one of the most heralded drive is Full olie's tom and say because through therese achievements from. Just kelly's been what he did to calm rising same Shape larry's in in a long period of time I think dan in tasmania remember. End you know he he. He'd basically left to to focus on the development side of the business and then rick obviously continued for a number of years beyond that You know todd going into the business allowed to focus wholly and solely on his at driving. You know he. He removed himself from the die aspects to get a focus on it. But i think you know like anything you need to know win. It's the raw. Tom and rick had felt that was in. My opinion need felt. It was probably the raw tom for someone else to jump into the car. He he had He has obviously been in his career. Must have been hunted guest. Id knees or something like that. Which is a phenomenal career and period of time to be driving so he made the decision. What was rocked. the him a obviously didn't want to get it to a tom. You know he was. He was pushed out of the sports and any probably felt like it was time to do something different as well when you consider that period of time Much like anyone in any career at. You've been doing something for so long that you want to evaluate change and they probably assan that that rick was ready for that as well because you haven't seen him step back in the supercar or intended to step back in supercar in the in the short term or other vehicles for a period of tom. Yum hopefully Decided to do it in some form in some category in some way in the future but he'd probably He's a chase. I much i hated. He's tom on the assad. Before you left you a part of another major change it. Kelly racing that was working with ford to get kelly into what most people would have thought was the last.

"What he's accomplished there in south bend but one thing they haven't been able to do is get over the hump. Does that mean he can get over the hump at notre dame potentially doesn't mean you could get over the hump potentially add. Usc yes but i think we all would agree. Joey and i'd love to get your take on this. I actually think that it's easier to get over the hump at usc than it is at notre dame because they're less stringent academic requirements for admissions. For some of your players. So i think usc if i'm them i'm shooting for the stars and the first star i'd call would be brian. Kelly gregg ran out of boxes because why not add urban meyer to that list. Which if we're just going to start throwing names at this thing. Throw them all in there. Brian kelly is one. You surprise me with that one. I don't know that it's easier to get over the hump at usc right now. I think that that program has fallen to a place. That is not right on the cusp of being in that next elite level now they've been elite from a standpoint of their skill position athletes especially on the offensive ball. They've had some terrific to rip it wide receivers but i don't. It doesn't seem as if from a big guy standpoint off into line defensive. Line that front seven on the defensive side. They don't seem to be at that. Same level. Ryan kelly's had terrific success at notre dame and. I see what you're saying as far as long-term kenny get over to home at a usc. I don't know that. Usc still carries the same respect across the country. As it carried at one point in time greg when when when we were younger. Usc was a name that that carried a lot of respect out. Nope it's there anymore. Yeah you're preserving meyer my question though of nfl. Transfer portal with the challenges of trying to get your roster ready to go the nfl.

"Com all right couple things ending the game with more points is usually viewed as a win traditionally but it's not that simple in preseason because a real win is basically. Let's get out of here without any serious injuries. You let your starters play a little bit. Maybe a couple of series get them out and you try to minimize. the risk. Here didn't happen for the ravens this week and they lost that promising young rookie. Rookie running back. Jk dobbins tours acl plenty of other injuries. Ty hilton with colds hill missed several weeks. He's got a neck injury. The vikings tight end herb smith. He's out with a knee injury. The list goes on. But i think really what you're looking for is no quarterback injuries. The colts still hopeful. That carson wentz will be there week one. Unless there's a surprise trade with to shawn watson seems like this sports most important positions basically said for now and there's still a lot of optimism around the league but before long those wins and losses are going to actually count gonna mean a whole lot. You had some you know quarterback news with gardiner. Minhsiu got traded from jacksonville and i know the eagles keep saying that. They found their guy. Jalen hurts well. If you had your guy. I don't know if you'd trade for gardner minhsiu because gardner minhsiu was coming in thinking. I can be the starting quarterback here. Jacksonville has their quarterback. Philadelphia doesn't have their quarterback. Jacksonville has their guy. That's why they could get rid of guard garment shoe but jalen hurts right down the starter in philadelphia shawn watson. It's a holding pattern here. It's back to what we've been talking about for months now. That the miami dolphins. They're probably front and center as the the number one suitor for deshaun watson. I just don't know why. The texans would be trading shawn watson now unless they go. Let's just get what we can get. Maybe they have information that they know. This could get serious. This could be a legal issue. You know maybe there's something more to it but it's not going to happen to after the season you can get to shawn watson and then hold your breath. But if i'm the texans it just doesn't seem like i have a lot of leverage here and the report was from yahoo sports that it was three number ones and number twos to be able to get to shawn watson. If i'm the texans now there was also a report at. The texans aren't interested in tonga. Vilo that they they don't want to view that as hey that's part of the assets that we got here they won't draft picks here they don't want to. There's also talk that. If carolina would make a move that sam darnold wouldn't be part of the assets that the texans would acquire that they're not interested in sam darnold. They basically go here. You want to shawn watson. Give us all of this. And we'll stay with tyrod taylor this year. They were fine with that. We don't need to have an upgrade. Or what is perceived as an upgrade. Somebody's coming in making a lot of money. Sam darnold to a tongue of iowa. I know denver is supposed to be in the mix here philadelphia Still supposed to be in the mix. It's the same teams that are in the next. The question is they want to have some guarantees with the draft picks that they will send to the taxes that hey if sean doesn't play a certain amount or he gets suspended then the three number ones become two number ones or those two number twos become to number three's. They're looking for some protection here from what i'm told i don't know if you're getting it. You also have to shawn. Watson has a no trade clause the more you go on. It just feels like it's never going to happen..

"Peak fish. That's was that was my Ride my pocket so when we were doing the show and Doug the cat. And i were doing the show during that exact era Starting in i think two thousand twelve specifically we could never really talk about the games. Because we're like the we have the big sports in the market here and that's that they're gonna move but the audience would get upset not all audience but a healthy percentage of the audience. We could upset with us because we wouldn't talk about the games and they were being told by some people that they weren't going to move and so it was a tense. Time is far as like every monday morning when the rams had played. It's like yeah they beat you love the seahawks when they had and week one It's like you have it. They're gonna move so to talk about this like this is our team and you know we want them to be successful. It's it's it's an odd thing. Yeah but for you. That's probably not the prism. You were viewing it from a first off. Your you know your teens or even single digits for some of this. So what were what prison were you viewing the rams during that time through. Were you ignorance tools. Going on your okay. Well i knew what was going on. Because i was loyal listener to the ryan kelly morning after in high school. Because i then i would really 'cause i just loved watching it like it was home and i look forward to every day or every week so if i were the say well i know they're moving and we just kind of kind of dilute my interest in it and i didn't want that to happen so i just blindly ignored all the signs and kept rooting until the day that they tweeted out. Kelly Ripa and 'Bachelorette' Hannah Brown face off

"Bachelorette. Hannah brown. On this show, Kelly and Ryan, and she's also making a round of the other shows apparently and. She told people magazine. That flies. That's Mike, Fleiss in Harrison, Chris, Harrison, should maybe think before they critique. No. She didn't say that. Did she? Critique is a big word for her. Hang on a second. Let me she will shed both bachelor host Harrison and creator flesh clap back on Twitter. We got to that. And then it says before current bachelorette Hannah Brown appeared on the daytime talk show Thursday. A source close to live with Kellyanne. Ryan told people that Fleiss in Harrison, should maybe think I see. Okay, think before they critique. So it was a source close to live with Kellyanne Ryan. It seems the fear of Jackson runs deep over there. These guys really want to bring attention to the fact that people should stop and look more closely at the completely outdated misogynistic nature of the show, and it's a -fensive premise of demeaning. It's participants. Wow. That again is a source close to live with Kelly and Ryan. Kelly Ripa not backing down though. She does not like the show. According to the source, they meaning the people at the bachelor can't handle light hearted criticism. From a successful woman, who's been on TV longer than their contestants have been alive. Whoa. Kelly's time at live predates, the shows by years. So if anything the source continued her success in syndication, and promotion of these shows pays their salaries. I get it. So they took offense at the fact that essentially, Fleiss was saying, hey look, if it weren't for the bachelor that couldn't even afford to pay you over there. Anyway, that's the deal with Kelly Ripa and the new bachelorette Hannah, I think I show a couple of episodes that she was on. She was kind of in it, you know, she was in the in the muck with them all. Well, part of the reason why you know, they went with a twenty four year old. I mean, the other ones have been twenty-five that they want, you know, younger more energy, and then Chris Harrison the hosts said that they've had more male drama this season than ever before. But that's what they're kind of looking for, because they want to create that for the younger, the people, the more drama, you're gonna have because older people start to get some charity and even the immature older people are more mature than the young people. Young people tend to just go with their emotion. You give them a cocktail. And you got yourself a reality show. Exactly. But you know the older contestants are just too cool. They're not gonna they're not gonna make total idiots out of themselves. It is weird, though, people say, why do they fall over each other doing all this stuff? You know, for this whatever they know they're. On television for this because it's odd human psyche. You get into a room and you get into a situation and you want to win. Well, it doesn't almost doesn't matter what your competing for. There's a there's something that happens. And if you don't win you at least don't wanna lose. You don't wanna be rejected that moment where you're not picked. That's a powerful moment psychologically. That's why you see these women breaking down. I mean when they talk about him as their true love, or I mean it's. It can't in the light of day really seem as though really you think that's your true love. It's expectations have been crushed. I also think these are just vehicles for people's careers. Now now. That's true. On these reality shows, if you make a spectacle of yourself. There's a chance, you're, you're going to have a great career out of this or more. More reality TV shows, absolutely true. There agents and reps. You know, for

Colts roll to their 4th straight victory, 38-10 over the Titans

"Is unbelievable to me because this team that was maligned and now the colts have gone five straight games. Yes, sir. Without allowing a sack, which is the longest sackless streak since Steve McNair when six straight games without a second two thousand six who would have thought this collection of Lyman this cults. Team would be the line that would go five straight games without surrendering sack. What is that line doing what does that offense doing? What is that team doing that? All of a sudden, Andrew luck cannot get touch during a game is unbelievable in Chris Ballard GM and Frank Reich. The head coach have done a phenomenal job at changing the culture in that locker room. And when I say that even in training camp, I went in and I watched them, and I talk to the offense of line Antarctica the team after practice, and I remember going in yesterday, and we walk in the locker room pre-game, and I told told Chris and Frank this feels like home this is the locker room that I'm used to when you walk in. There's an expectation. They're going to win games. There's an expectation that their offense and defensive lines are going to are going to run roughshod and give them a chance to win games. And I'm so proud of of the. Culture that has been created in such a short window. It's Ballard singing and Frank's first, but the culture that's being developed and the belief by these men that they're going to go somewhere. They may not be this year. You know, they may have some pieces they gotta fix, but I'm telling you there is a belief in this locker room amongst these guys did impact a football team not for just one season. But for a collection of seasons and not only did Andrew luck. Not get set. He didn't get touched yesterday against a line in a defense. Totally ret Tom Brady and the patriots the week before. I mean, they harass radio all over the field. They couldn't touch Andrew luck. And the throws it. He's making the timing that he's throwing on when his foot hits the ground. I could I could take cutouts of manning and that offense with Frank Reich years ago when we were playing and look yesterday when it's back foot is hitting the ground. He knows where the ball's going whether it's Hilton on a post whether it's a drag out whether it's a hitch on the silent what and the ball is. Coming out and the trust. He has between the receivers tied ends and backs of where they're supposed to be it looks like the offense that it should be and the timing, and the consistency that everybody's playing with it all starts with elephants of line. But everybody's bought into the philosophy of whoever's turn it is. They're going to get the play. And I'm telling you man, I told him yesterday. We've been texting this morning. I'm just so proud of the way that they're handling it and Q Nelson Quinton Nelson. They're they're pick their first round pick. He was six or eight. I can't remember whatever the number was this guy is ex. He is an animal. I mean, he is an absolute animal he lives like baby. Huey. And he's got this massive by little little biddy had beetle juice. You know, and he is a laying people out, but Smith from Auburn. Yeah. I think he was the second round pick in this kid is is playing ball, and they all are encouraging each other. You know, Ryan Kelly their center this is third year Li it's best football. He's playing and I was talking to him before the game. I'm healthy. I can binned can move. He got a little banged up yesterday. I'm good. Yeah. But but this kid is playing and everybody's game is being elevated because of q
