Kelly Ripa and 'Bachelorette' Hannah Brown face off
"Bachelorette. Hannah brown. On this show, Kelly and Ryan, and she's also making a round of the other shows apparently and. She told people magazine. That flies. That's Mike, Fleiss in Harrison, Chris, Harrison, should maybe think before they critique. No. She didn't say that. Did she? Critique is a big word for her. Hang on a second. Let me she will shed both bachelor host Harrison and creator flesh clap back on Twitter. We got to that. And then it says before current bachelorette Hannah Brown appeared on the daytime talk show Thursday. A source close to live with Kellyanne. Ryan told people that Fleiss in Harrison, should maybe think I see. Okay, think before they critique. So it was a source close to live with Kellyanne Ryan. It seems the fear of Jackson runs deep over there. These guys really want to bring attention to the fact that people should stop and look more closely at the completely outdated misogynistic nature of the show, and it's a -fensive premise of demeaning. It's participants. Wow. That again is a source close to live with Kelly and Ryan. Kelly Ripa not backing down though. She does not like the show. According to the source, they meaning the people at the bachelor can't handle light hearted criticism. From a successful woman, who's been on TV longer than their contestants have been alive. Whoa. Kelly's time at live predates, the shows by years. So if anything the source continued her success in syndication, and promotion of these shows pays their salaries. I get it. So they took offense at the fact that essentially, Fleiss was saying, hey look, if it weren't for the bachelor that couldn't even afford to pay you over there. Anyway, that's the deal with Kelly Ripa and the new bachelorette Hannah, I think I show a couple of episodes that she was on. She was kind of in it, you know, she was in the in the muck with them all. Well, part of the reason why you know, they went with a twenty four year old. I mean, the other ones have been twenty-five that they want, you know, younger more energy, and then Chris Harrison the hosts said that they've had more male drama this season than ever before. But that's what they're kind of looking for, because they want to create that for the younger, the people, the more drama, you're gonna have because older people start to get some charity and even the immature older people are more mature than the young people. Young people tend to just go with their emotion. You give them a cocktail. And you got yourself a reality show. Exactly. But you know the older contestants are just too cool. They're not gonna they're not gonna make total idiots out of themselves. It is weird, though, people say, why do they fall over each other doing all this stuff? You know, for this whatever they know they're. On television for this because it's odd human psyche. You get into a room and you get into a situation and you want to win. Well, it doesn't almost doesn't matter what your competing for. There's a there's something that happens. And if you don't win you at least don't wanna lose. You don't wanna be rejected that moment where you're not picked. That's a powerful moment psychologically. That's why you see these women breaking down. I mean when they talk about him as their true love, or I mean it's. It can't in the light of day really seem as though really you think that's your true love. It's expectations have been crushed. I also think these are just vehicles for people's careers. Now now. That's true. On these reality shows, if you make a spectacle of yourself. There's a chance, you're, you're going to have a great career out of this or more. More reality TV shows, absolutely true. There agents and reps. You know, for

But let's talk about the good news. I we'll we'll detail the other. So so the the good news. I is it like if I had said, for example. Oh, you know, you don't remember that blonde from the bachelor or remember that nice girl who worked at kiss or something like that. And you know, he would have I said, I just. And, you know, Tanya, naira friends, and he totally lit up. He knew exactly who you were. And and and now I'm hard finding difficult to quote myself. But I was kind of like, you know, you know, she you should really give her a ring. I think she'd be very happy to hear from you or something that indicated that that you were open to further communication. Well as opposed to like center a smoke signal. I think you should kinda give her. So anyway that was that. And and then what was funny, which is which is helpful. But maybe the two should land is I'm telling you this part. It's might be a little hard to take. Good to have an objective you. So the weather guy that was there that day KYW Goldberg who works so this usually on the weekends and not usually on that show. "So I had every intention. I'm talking about the Colton titans with our Powell Greg Greg straw, who joins us on the phone right now. But rake, I think we have to talk about what in the blue hell is going on in this Purdue and Auburn game sweet mother of all that's pure allburn drops a fifty six burger in the first half. And frankly, Auburn was kind in the second half. Both teams basically ran the ball for the entirety of the second thing did about a whole lot worse. So usually bowl game results. Are raced pretty quickly. Whether you win or lose not with that is the lasting impression. You leave for the season. That's a little worrisome producer and listen. I'm not gonna act like I'm a card carrying member of boiler nation here. But if you just give your coach this big race. And he's now paid with the big boys. Right. Coach Brahm is one of the highest ten coaches salaries in America right now first game after that, you laid this kind of AIG God, that's a bad. Look. Good. But again now you've got the entire off season to fix it. And you recruits coming in and hopefully fix the defense because that was a that was a surprise lack other words this staff better coaching up to the defense the previous staff did. But once those guys who graduated this thing was an issue at times, the Missouri game the mind, the Wisconsin game, both home losses. Come to mind. Anybody saw this coming in terms of water put on them. But now, hopefully, you've got it off season remedy such issues Kenny with Greg Greg straw here on the hammer in Nigel show rake is the host of the colts post game show. So let's stay in Nashville. This Sunday night, the bright lights for all intensive purposes rake it is a playoff game. What are you looking for from the colts here? Well, the first news with obviously who was playing today. And it wasn't in the back of Ryan Kelly. Is it going to play is a big deal for me pass block standpoint, they've been able to kind of replicate Evan beam roadblock standpoint, they have and so the fact that he is going to be able to play. That's problem on the flip side. There are some key defensive pizzas listing for the titans light your l Casey was put on I r earlier this week for the season like loaded. Ryan Ryan Iraq was say wasn't gonna play either. So this is kind of typical by the time. You get the week seventeen. There are some. Visit missing on both sides of the ball. The good news is cold seven been definitive about this. Yes. Because because he hasn't passed the official NFL baseline concussion protocol chest. But the signs are pointing that Eric abroad who would play on Sunday they're optimistic. He could play on Sunday night and giving the weapon is in the red zone. This year that is huge in a game. Where I don't think I don't think there's going to be a repeat of thirty eight. I don't think both teams are clear and thirty touchdowns going to make the difference in Hebron has been that level of difference. Baker for the colts this season rake, you talked about some of the guys from Tennessee on the defensive side of the ball that are not going to play on Sunday. Does this open up the run game for the colts at all? I think it does a little bit. But again without having Ryan Kelly. I think that is a major impact on the run block scheme for the colts. You basically at your best run blockers out without Ryan Kelly and obviously Jack Boyle being up the season. I know quitting Nelson has been very good at left guard. It's going to be a pro bowler. But in the games worked oil has been out and the game or Kelly has been out. You have see a difference. They colesville you to run the football. Go back to the game Victorians Dallas where you saw Ryan Kelly play in the first half. And you saw Laycock's return misery with other cultivable run the ball better last week. They flat gave up on it without Ryan Kelly at random ball sixteen times for forty nine yards against eighteen the defensively. I don't think he's as good as Tennessee. So I think a lot going to be asked of answer luck. But as we have seen when I lot been asked of him more often than not that delivered Greg Greg straw. The host of the colts post game show joining us here on the hammer in. Show. So if you're a cult fan are you anticipating seeing Marcus mariota start for the Tennessee titans. This weekend. You know, I would think so, but to be honest with you, I don't think it matters. And that's why when talking about injuries, I kinda let with the defensive injuries for Tennessee. Because I think those are a far bigger deal. The weather Barry odor gathered plays. I don't know. If there's that big of a difference between those two guys from a health standpoint, if Marietta healthy, maybe I should say there's a difference in terms of his ability to get out of the out of the pocket and makes this feat. Accuracy standpoint. Yeah, we just heritage for mariota over the course of his career Gabar is a solid back up. He was a bit of the punchline Jacksonville, he has since Portland in San Francisco with Tennessee that you know, is he's a solid. NFL backup quarterback. Maybe he's a poor man's Cody percent. And so if Mary plays he's not going to be a hundred percent he hasn't been a hundred percent all year. And so this this really hasn't been that different. Whether it's a very odor gathered back there in the pocket. So I'm not sure how big of a difference that would make inside Greg Greg straw. Last thing before we let you go here. I asked this question to Kevin Bowen earlier in the week, if you're the colts, and you lose an elimination game to a grown man named Blaine does everybody need to be fired. Yeah. You couldn't get away from your roots? Can you give me by guy named Blaine Blaine, you don't get beat my Blaine and elimination games? Can you? It would be part of the Billy bowlegs, you know, history and litany of the team it not I hope they don't get by name blame. But sometimes have is Jason rake. We appreciate the time. My friend, good luck down in music city. Watching these colts Santa we'll talk to you in two thousand nineteen thanks buddy. How happy new year? All right coming up next top stories. Colts roll to their 4th straight victory, 38-10 over the Titans
"Is unbelievable to me because this team that was maligned and now the colts have gone five straight games. Yes, sir. Without allowing a sack, which is the longest sackless streak since Steve McNair when six straight games without a second two thousand six who would have thought this collection of Lyman this cults. Team would be the line that would go five straight games without surrendering sack. What is that line doing what does that offense doing? What is that team doing that? All of a sudden, Andrew luck cannot get touch during a game is unbelievable in Chris Ballard GM and Frank Reich. The head coach have done a phenomenal job at changing the culture in that locker room. And when I say that even in training camp, I went in and I watched them, and I talk to the offense of line Antarctica the team after practice, and I remember going in yesterday, and we walk in the locker room pre-game, and I told told Chris and Frank this feels like home this is the locker room that I'm used to when you walk in. There's an expectation. They're going to win games. There's an expectation that their offense and defensive lines are going to are going to run roughshod and give them a chance to win games. And I'm so proud of of the. Culture that has been created in such a short window. It's Ballard singing and Frank's first, but the culture that's being developed and the belief by these men that they're going to go somewhere. They may not be this year. You know, they may have some pieces they gotta fix, but I'm telling you there is a belief in this locker room amongst these guys did impact a football team not for just one season. But for a collection of seasons and not only did Andrew luck. Not get set. He didn't get touched yesterday against a line in a defense. Totally ret Tom Brady and the patriots the week before. I mean, they harass radio all over the field. They couldn't touch Andrew luck. And the throws it. He's making the timing that he's throwing on when his foot hits the ground. I could I could take cutouts of manning and that offense with Frank Reich years ago when we were playing and look yesterday when it's back foot is hitting the ground. He knows where the ball's going whether it's Hilton on a post whether it's a drag out whether it's a hitch on the silent what and the ball is. Coming out and the trust. He has between the receivers tied ends and backs of where they're supposed to be it looks like the offense that it should be and the timing, and the consistency that everybody's playing with it all starts with elephants of line. But everybody's bought into the philosophy of whoever's turn it is. They're going to get the play. And I'm telling you man, I told him yesterday. We've been texting this morning. I'm just so proud of the way that they're handling it and Q Nelson Quinton Nelson. They're they're pick their first round pick. He was six or eight. I can't remember whatever the number was this guy is ex. He is an animal. I mean, he is an absolute animal he lives like baby. Huey. And he's got this massive by little little biddy had beetle juice. You know, and he is a laying people out, but Smith from Auburn. Yeah. I think he was the second round pick in this kid is is playing ball, and they all are encouraging each other. You know, Ryan Kelly their center this is third year Li it's best football. He's playing and I was talking to him before the game. I'm healthy. I can binned can move. He got a little banged up yesterday. I'm good. Yeah. But but this kid is playing and everybody's game is being elevated because of q

"And they don't even look ready. Like, that's the weird part to me that Purdue game. I think everyone kind of circled it like Purdue there. They started the season on three, but they're all close losses. Like, this is a talented team. It's a night game. There's a lot going on. And it seemed like Ohio State just wasn't even up for it. Yeah. And they have like one of those year now. Right. And it's really weird. So I heard it was interesting because we spent all of August with the highest state fan selling how dare you attack Herbin Meyer. He's the finest whoever lived, and there's there's that Purdue game ended those same people are like man, I don't think this is gonna work out. Right. Right. Funny. How that happens? Yes. Yes. What about I'm going to put another name out there? Real quick. We can actually I wanted to stick with the with the big ten any chance at all north western can go into south bend when. Well, no. Oh is that question? Oh, even better. You get the high grass it's like running through a cornfield. Yup. So yeah, I I'm telling you, I think I would be. Anything? Syracuse might be able to be Yankee Stadium. And I was at Notre Dame last week. And Ryan Kelly is very aware of you know, for the last five away from home some teams that maybe haven't played well at times, but if played great at other times Syracuse actually being good most of the season. So I think there's a there's definitely they're pretty on edge Notre Dame. So I don't think they're going to go into any of those games we walking or thinking it's going to be an easy win. But you look at all of them. I mean, northwestern is so up and down you catch him on an update they can eat you or state has good athletes. William in way, they stand. But I just think never know. You're accused may beat them. They just straight up beat them. Yeah. Almost. Yeah. And they beat Columbia. That was also the Trevor Lawrence got hurt in that game. But yeah, no Syracuse has that Syracuse definitely. Although wouldn't you argue that Syracuse this year specially I feel like people especially after they beat Florida state early when Florida state still maybe with something they beat NC state. They almost beat Clemson people don't look past Syracuse like they might have been the last couple of years. Nobody's going to be looking past them. And I think I think that's the one names probably the most worried about really schedule. And I I I imagine if they beat Notre Dame Mike francesa will then know who do you have? All right jumping down to the big twelve real quick. I guess Texas is not back at or they're not as back as we thought. They were still waters tough place to play the Barry Sanders. Uniforms. And then back, I'm like, oh, but you're from LA which was a great thing also and are sick, talented, sick, talented, thank you real night, but you you have to know you're kind of going. I'm surprised to hear you say this, but while real, I appreciate it. So flattered that you would say, I really am saying I was saying this to Nick because I 'cause I was in the business. I left television intentionally in two thousand five. I worked with injury you now you're. When you're in the heart, you're going to be like, but but I worked with Steve, he when he was sports director, Doug and I was the number three guy was the weekend guy, and I was there for five years, and I just was like, I kind of see where this is going at least for local sports. Yeah, and I had the radio thing going, and that was working and I started my own business and that was working. So I left. So every time I see people, I went to the university of Missouri journalism school, and you went to Pepperdine. You're, they come much nicer. Vista believed in Columbia, but the the business, I usually see people going into it and Michael can have to start in South Dakota where you start Bakersfield kinda got my starting Baker. "Nia were you shocked by that 'cause the cat and sometimes i know he does things that he can't say things but on the ryan kelly morning afterward he set himself on prodded i was really surprised by that yeah and talk into a little qu'estce over the previous weekend um he i he is contract was up and he was aware of what that meant and what that could mean um it allows a team to pivoted in another direction we see that with players you know whether it's going to be saying want o or matt holliday a contracts up the team has an excuse to go on a different direction but the louis bespoke you know about his want to return in his hope to return and looking out at the arms that they had and what role he could play in it and in some ways i think he's saw himself as a way to defend the talent as well as nurture the talent like look i mean these are my guys i want to stand and protect them and make sure that they get the attention and get the rest and get the used that they deserve um but in another way you know he put himself may be in a spot where the cardinals want wanna go on a different direction one that maybe would put mike mulvaney the manager in a position to uh to take input from the pitching coach and then utilize it not just take input from the pitching coach when it comes to decisions and filter it into his own decisions um i'm really eager to see how this plays out because the description mogaidshu of what he wants in the next pitching coach in those it it was mode dick gave the description of what he wants in the next pitching coach um when i ask mike what he wants he wanted communication and knowledge in an openness to take things forward but will most wanted was very clear and the best description that i've heard of it is that it's a pitching coordinator like you would have a defensive coordinator and football or you would have a a dumb off into coordinator and football that this is a guy who's going to run place this is a guy who's going to call place now with the advice the head coach.
