"I don't think it's necessarily any been benefit. So i think part of the reason is because it started offers. A node library is acing gs. So i don't know whether it's a kind of attempt to keep things You know in line and familiar. Secondly i've heard of people using it. If the application is is heavily reliant on acing and just as a way of keeping everything keeping that level of continuity. And if you if you're a developer writing acing code all day than than enjoy bordering and to test as well that. Maybe it's a sort of familiarity thing that gets kind of consistent across the two typically. I wouldn't unless you have a use case. I don't see any specific. Valley was looking at the hub pages for both the playwright python. And i'm guessing. That's the python bindings for playwright and the playwright pie test bug in in. Both of them are under the microsoft umbrella. So is playwright microsoft thing yes. It is team at microsoft maintaining think the story goes that that there's a node library cooled puppeteer which i think is a similar sort of thing and i think that was developed by a team at google open source and playwright is a folk original property library And i think even the team that worked on puppet tia at google may be the same team who now microsoft What it's cool that. "It goes through a checklist of is visible. Is it enabled. Hasn't stopped animating checklist before even attempts to attempts to to interrupt so that tends to make testing a little bit less flaky. The other things got in his favorites. You can interact. We've the networking behind behind the scenes. So again you might have a web page which fis officers at loaded up fires off a whole todorov p requests at exit. Hr requests and you can monitor that network traffic even playwright and you can do things like stop certain. Api is being being called say blocked from returning information page or even knock them out room. Say if you want to eat you know if you've got a long list on an application although web page that you don't want to return Because it's time consuming. You could Jason responsive of the Request and you could send that back to the front end instead they were particular. Hb status codes. You want to test so you know is is often difficult to test those era scenarios. If you want to produce a service on the bailable that web application handles you can walk out so you could automate. You could send back. Hdp five hundred additional header in response and just see how the application interacts handles luck. So that's that's really useful is good again full in a game for the performance that you could. You could do things like stop every every request for an for an image being returned to your page so again if something very specific you want on your to check on your page and you were running headful for some reason than you could block. Every api request which returns an image and again that stopped the whole page loading and speed things up. Are you normally running locally or is the application running on a test server. Something it varies. I think i think commented the the more modern scenario maybe is that you have something running everything. Maybe it's the maybe every time you will application gets built. It gets deployed on a on a test. The maybe even a daca and then at the point. It's bill test trigger today. They hit that where the of fluid So she played right. There's a doc relig- playwrights komo news you tests through a doc rematch and is also There's also a bill Guild action as well so you can. You can hook it a lot through and and trigge setup you gal paxton to to run tests. Look this one of the things that looks like it has. Acs stuff does that help with testing. "Your machine so if you're running a windows machine or links machine we need to do is is pip install and then you you get the Instances that those browsers as part of the package so you can then go away and test on on craving fox fox without having to manage External browsers blood drives. There's a headless option. I don't know if it's default to don or not It is yeah. Berkeley s defaulted headless policy. And if you want. If you see what's going on you have to pass in a headful when you launching the browser easy nothing but Again we kind of see that shift in the market the especially with ui tests which which traditionally been a bit slower than maybe kind of unit tests and api tests. So we've seen a shift to kind of make those faster one of the way you can do that. So we'll see run run head with lee which which worked perfectly well especially if you're running kind of cic you're not going to be looking at the screen anyway say you may as well run them handling imagine. It's probably the only time you did not want to do. Headless as maybe when you're developing something and it's not working You can kinda watch it. Watch it run and see where it's going wrong or something. Yeah exactly Yes in as you say when you creating. The test is quite useful to have a head full. And that's low my walk ins really useful because even even if you're watching it a super quick times and if you're closing the if you're closing the browns are at the end of you at the end of your test also netflix up. Anything in an end of the game say to be out to slow it down quite useful or people using things like this for really testing the entire application or they using it to test the the interface part and yes it's the user interface thing so this is the kind of e false behind play rise is end to end user. Journeys says really focused on being able to write an end to end tests ideas that you can take full full use of flow journey and test the test the entire process In a single test. So these these are probably going to be in conjunction with other tests. Like if you're if you're really beating up on like a particular algorithm or something you may be able to do that at a p api level or something right to. Yeah definitely as the connor. This concept of a test pyramid and dairies the at the lowest level you have is to many unit tests as as you can and above that everything even tested. Api level and as you go up the pyramid Tend to find that you have fewer. If you attest that top of that you might have some into one test so even before you into enter you might have some some tests which leverage the you wine but might not be into end. They might be kind of a bit more focused bit more specific about a certain certain element in the in the page. And then on top of that. Your your winterburn test which you might not have many of already focuses on on driving as they slaves. Those big workbooks have used selenium before. Yep yeah okay..

"And that still. Let's point useful but what ten tends to happen. That always is. We use like a oppressive exploratory testing of all the ideas that instead of having these sort of robust scripts that you following to test you have an idea of an area functionality. You'd like to explore and some rough guidelines about the sort of things you'd like to find out and then it's up to you to kind of go away. You usually time box. These may be saying. I want thirty minutes to explore the logging functionality and then instead of following the script you can you know you can sort of go off piste busy. You wonder what happens if i enter password choosing correctable. I wanna keep pressing the submit button. It's it's more about conduct exploring the application rather than just following a script say And that works really. Well that was my introduction of to exploratory testing on a project where we didn't have any formal test people we just had the development team. But we had like for instance we had done a big lab with with lots of different lots of different instruments and People working on different ones and we would say we wanna get so many hours of exploratory. Qa and you didn't have to know anything about the instrument they would say it'd be something like well. We we changed the we changed like this particular measurement so you know exploring that would be great but then also looking at other stuff and it was playing around and see if it makes sense in just trying to use it carefully in seeing weird things like wives the wives the trace going up and off the screen and stuff visited still. I think that's that's a part that actually gets missed a lot. This exploratory just playing with the think that's an important thing to keep even even with the pushed automation. Yeah definitely Is really useful like you say just to just as much to test out occasion is to kind of understand the and understand how it works and and what happens when you when you do things and and even like just picking up on things which aren't necessarily bugs that just is this the right way of doing it actually little bit and the way by You know his word the way. It's working functionally. It might work actually. And then you can provider feedback at the end of your sessions. Say these are the things i found and these are the things i won't realize into explored it more easel and it works really well in conjunction wave. We've we've automation because you can automate if you can automate those these kind of regression test. And they structured test the must work they use flows journeys. If you all that stuff that gives you kind of a bit more free time to focus on exploring new features and an understanding application that way so it works really well together. Yeah plus i mean maybe some people enjoy a whole reading reading the the written script of what. I'm supposed to do typing things then that's boring especially for like once a month or something like that..

Okay do usually get involved Kinda after they think they're done or is Is a during development or when you get a vote usually. it's changing slightly historically. It's being towards the end of a project when they realized they might need someone to test it. But there's definitely been a shift. Recently gang people on board earlier on actually starting testing. Start life cycle even testing before you even coded anything that means. You're looking at requirements testing requirements. Or if you're taking sort of td approach How qa testers can help develop those tests out front lead even written anything. Yeah or even just even just getting started and doing some. yeah like some skeleton tests. First have you jump in periodically as they have new features to check out things like that seems like the right way. Do it instead of okay. We're ready to ship when he detested. Yeah yeah it makes a big difference. It makes the testing's oughta things of its mover If you've done the work out front Into this bizarrely. I kinda just fell into. It is working retail about ten years of experience. We've software tool just happened to know someone who worked for a software company. Who asked if i'd be interested in in going to interview zero idea that that software testing was even a career. But yeah so i. I joined a qa analyst for ten years starting out was a manual stuff for to start automated right away. It was nicely manual. To begin with is probably maybe a year or two into mike testing korean. Still at quite worked out. What testing really was i think. Start picking up some zoom code working working with developers and an understanding how you can kind of add add test automation And and write tests in kite bit later on any manual testing. Yes do i mean it's still. It's still quite an important part. The role is kind of a again. He's finished shift between from suit of traditional manual. And the traveling blues for today's game. Kentucky is coming off some impressive offensive performances against Vanderbilt and Auburn, where they combined to shoot 10 threes in both games or make 10 threes. They had six different players connect from deep In the win over all burn on Thursday, the lady balls coming off a six point loss to Yukon. They've dropped two of their last three, but I've actually been playing well down the stretch. The lady balls. One win was against Alabama. They rounded the tide in Tuscaloosa, but have dropped close games at home, the Yukon and Georgia the Lady balls or two into against ranked teams this year. They have wins over Indiana and Arkansas, and they lost to Georgia after holding a big lead in that game, but lost by a point. Your officials for this afternoon's game. Denise Brooks, Billy Smith and Brian Hall. Marquis and Olivia Owens matched up in the circle. As we get set for this one. Still waiting for TV to give us the clear to play. Ryan Howard coming off 14 points against Tennessee or I beg your pardon. It's all burn on Thursday night, Jasmine Massengill coming off the bench to have seven assists. "56 53, Kentucky, 1 24 to go in the third. Wildcats had a lead at nine. They led at halftime 41 to 32. They got the lead back to eight at 56 to 48. But South Carolina has just reeled off five points in the blink of high and Aaliya, Boston three and then a destiny. Henderson, runner. Anderson has been hard to handle for Kentucky and transition tonight. Nobody has been able to stop her in the open court as she has 14 points off that lightning quick speed Boston with 12 Me here with eight and Sexton with seven. Kentucky has 26 from Ryan Howard Triana. Edwards With 12 points tonight, Robin Bitten with five And nobody else has more than four. Kentucky's got to have some help for Ryan and Edwards tonight, and Patterson has four points, but she also has four assists, but they need to get Patterson going again. Offensively. She has struggled in SEC play thus far. She entered SEC play, averaging 15 points a game. But Facing teams like Arkansas A and M and Mississippi state. They have kind of held her offense and check Patterson had four points in the win over Arkansas. She did have 11 against Mississippi State in that overtime win in eight points against A and M But not storing a clip that we saw her. Heading into conference place. She only got four points tonight. But again she creates with defense and she has two steals. She also has a blocked shot in this game. Kentucky has played well defensively, but South Carolina is making up for it in transition. Kentucky has a 19 to 9 edge in points off turnovers, but South Carolina has started to really Take control of the rebounds. They have cleaned the glass 31 times to Kentucky's 20. Now they have 14 offensive rebounds, closing in on their average. They have a 17 to 6 advantage in second chance points. So what they've given up in turnovers. You're beginning to make up for now in second chance opportunities. Kentucky out of the time out as Ryan Howard, Olivia Owens, Robin Bitten J. Jasmine Massengill, Andre Ana Edwards in the game. It is a me here. Boston Henderson Field. And cook on the floor for South Carolina, Kentucky with the basketball they need some points here, up by three. It comes upstairs to Owens Owens left side, the Howard still above the art 15 on the shot clock. Howard sees massive Gil, Come get it top of the key. Now they come right to bitch and open three is blocked by Boston. She wasn't as open as she thought bit in the other way off. The block shot takes it all the way to the basket and scores. Bitten and massive guilt just never did slow her down again. Kentucky's transition defense falters and South Carolina's within one. It's a seven run by the Gamecocks. 45 seconds to go in the third. Here's Howard Free throw line, pull up jumper, too strong rebound. Beale and South Carolina down nine at the half Now, with a chance to take the lead here's Henderson upstairs. The Boston Back to Henderson, right wing, nine second difference between the game clock and shot clock. 27 seconds to go into third year Sanderson driving right gets past Massengill, the runner pops out, but I'm here with the offensive rebound puts it back up in the end. Was Kentucky's defense on that box sound. South Carolina goes in front 57 56. Here's Howard back the other way, 10 seconds to go in the quarter, down to eight. Howard against Bill. Right Wing Ryan Falls down, lost the basketball. It'll be tied up, and South Carolina gets it for the final three seconds. I don't know what has happened to Kentucky. But here in the last two.

Our Comes right to Edwards. Edwards drives puts up the shot, No good, but a foul is called on Carter from behind. They caught Edwards in a great spot is Carter was fronting her and Edwards had a lane to the basket. Carter had no choice but to Fowler. It stops the clock under a minute to go. Easily a call there. She lowered the arm right into the head of Edwards 59 seconds to go. Edwards. Free throw is good. 88 86, Kentucky. Yeah. Ryan Howard with a 30 piece. Today, 31 points to will her team in front and Edwards goes to for two. It's back to a three point Kentucky lead. 89 86 a time out. Asked for Kentucky. It'll be a 32nd time out. Cats and state both with one time out remaining possession. Arrow favors the Bulldogs on a held ball 58 seconds to go in overtime. "The state guards. That's their 63 pointer of the game. There's shooting 38% from beyond the arc. Now they working underneath the Howard one on one with Jackson. A foul called on the way up goes in from the left block. Ryan Howard has come to life here in the fourth quarter, she's got 15 and the chance for another. Then I should correct myself on that dead ball. After Howard's last shot, they did not give her a foul. I think it was a delay of game warning. I'm not sure because, unfortunately, we're not there, but they have not charged her with the third foul. So Howard's going to go to the line for an and one to try to cut this state lead the 15 59 to go in the game. Howard's free throw is good. 69 68 Howard now with 16 Delete Kentucky. Taylor brings it into front court left side against bitten crosses over to the right side of the wing and passes it to Mingo Young. She'll cut across the free throw line coming left. Now they come to moth Roo against bitten meth Are you on the left side Drives right gets bitten into the low post. Turn around. Little baby Hook is good from out front state is just so good at penetrating into that lane, and these five footers are way too easy for a team like Mississippi State. Shooting 84% in the second half. 16 of 19, and it's a three point lead. Ryan Howard's got it left wing. She circles over to the free throw line down the lane puts up the shot. "Chase Utley Cole Hamels Ryan Howard now unfortunately there are way too many culprits and again I'm willing to accept people changes human being so I'm not going to hold a grudge but they were way too many people that held the injury against Ryan Howard when he was clearly making a ton of money and couldn't live up to that money because the guy ended his career essentially by ending his season within a Kelly I mean it was a brutal injury that forced him to essentially just go from really good to not good at all and out of the league so there were a lot of people that held that against him while he was still on the team I think now if you ask about right now now Brian Dawkins universally loved always right now when you look back and reflect on people nobody really has anything bad to say at all about those guys that won a World Series in even Chasen war who came out and flat out told us and I'm not sticking around because I can get more in Washington and went and played for the nationals there is a love and appreciation for him so I would say the eight guys you know the guys that stand out Cole Hamels Jimmy Rollins chase Utley Ryan how're Brian Dawkins bar none without a doubt Roger wore ski I I think it's done so much for the community in Philadelphia that people who criticized him as a player understanding and really appreciate what he used to Philadelphia so I would put him up there to Randall Cunningham not many people have much to bash about him that's an interesting question though we don't have many actually shows that you get me speaking of Houston will stick around because there's big news on the trade front regarding the Texans and I told you you know I told you about Ezekiel Elliott that next dates on generous finished is.

"And I have to tell you the sky, h this is the greatest one ever, h is a tie at three hundred eighty two homers. And both guys have the same name. It's Frank Howard and Ryan Howard. How great is that? What a day to him. Tim. This is we are all studying you right now. Like just a fascinating baseball weirdo. Like, we can't believe you, are you still care about this in your sixties in a way, that's really odd. Awesome fuck. I'm not proud of this. This is Jo how it works around here. I don't know anything else I've been abundantly clear about that. So this is the kind of stuff I should know if I'm not gonna know about anything else. But it on the poll Guillermo are Mike and Mike and hot tamales in the jelly bean family, and is it amazing that the H category has to Howard's in it. If you're going by sticking to your teeth. I mean that means starburst or jelly bean stem. I don't know if that's the way you can do it all breakers, prisms, John, but I think it's gotta be it's gotta be kind of circular kind of Celinda coll- for it to be jelly bean family. Doesn't it? If that's another way of saying circle, then I guess, I mean, put it on the poll Guillermo, Kenny jelly bean, be a square I guess is what Kirk chess asking. Right. Can jelly bean be square? Nothing makes me happier than Tim saying, how great is that. But it's usually not great, right? It's only great because he thinks it's great because it's something that's terribly not greatly. He's having a good day. Then Austin, you're on with Tim, Kirk should go ahead. Austin? Jim are dogs allowed on the couch. And if so, our couch covers required. Our dogs are allowed on the couch. They're allowed in bed they're allowed in the car. They're allowed everywhere. And we love our dogs and outfit, probably shouldn't do this. But that's the way it works. Greg. You're on with coach in go ahead, Greg. Yeah. Hey, tim. Wondering what your thoughts are on the bridge, signing, Dallas Kyko? And do you think he could legitimately? Bring some needed stability to the rotation. Thanks. Yes, great signed for the Braves they need another starting pitcher to help them go to the play offs and that division, and they're gonna need more than that, though. If they're going to beat the dodgers in the playoffs. But it really nights step forward for the stretch run for the brain. Are we got a lot of Nick nurses, here, you ready? Mic nurse. Look like a mob, boss accountant, or does he look like the guy at the wine tasting who says he wouldn't serve this Chardonnay to his dog..

"I feel like with Kentucky shares year, they're they're getting back to defending turning people over. And then now you've got a player like Ryan Howard. When you need a basket toss score. I mean, that's kind of how she can roll. And that's nice to have if you're if you're Matthew Mitchell. I just worry about their lack post players. I mean, it really have a huge post presence. And if they wanna go up against NC state, you know, that's the challenge, you know, who's going to dictate style. But I just think Ryan Howard is a player that I put my money on, you know, I think I really like their chances, you know, west more you cover the AC a lot what he's done this year, given everything all the adversity that I've had speaks for itself, but Kentucky's a different team this year. And I think he McKinney might be healthy, and that's one of their post player she had a concussion and the SEC tournament. So if they're at full shrink, and they're healthy, they're turning people over everyone's click in. I mean, Kentucky's a really good team. You know, they played really good really well in the non conference. So I those are teams maybe kind of no one's really talking about. But I think they're really good. We're trying to I I really do. So speaking of really good at post play. We will end on Mississippi State. Because you. Yes. You have a lot of to your mccowan. And I really enjoyed your interview with the Schaefer family that was so well done untold set a lot about Vick. You know? I mean, we see these coaches, but when you hear their family talk about them definitely brings a different dimension. But you know, some people were surprised to see Mississippi State has one seed especially because they ended up not having to necessarily play the cream of the crop in the SEC coming through the tournament. But they didn't get one. See they will be in Portland, Oregon, ducks are the number two seats, actually, there's concern there. But is this team primed to make it to the final four make it back to the final four. Absolutely. I think second to Notre Dame thing. This state is playing the best basketball team in the country having seen them throughout the year. And then up close and personal and that SEC final man, it's just their defense. You know, they score. And you know, we always talked about Vic and the defense. But you know, they score they'll they'll get eighty ninety points. But their defense is just relentless. And I'm in those huddles, China, let me tell you that team on such a heart ends. There is no letting off the gas pedal, and some feeling you know, you wondered with them finally getting SEC championship. Are they going to stay hungry that whole, you know? Oh, we finally got it, you know, Sierra in you know, they oh finally got it. But you know, we talked to say for the other day. And he said he watched that fine only had four pages of legal pad note of all the things that they did wrong. And that's what they're going to go and show them. For practice tomorrow. So I was like, okay. You know, he's he's definitely going to have them out and up. Yeah. I mean, if you think about this state team trying to like, you know, to replace for seniors from last year's team that got to the final. And so you're taking the roster you go. How do you replace the player like Victoria against? Well, you've got a player like in real Howard comes over from San them. She's not gonna shoot the three elective ins. But she's been undersized score who's gonna get you extra possessions. And she scores. She's got an endless motor. Okay. Well that that word, bro. Johnston last year. She could shoot the three good defender. Well, now, you got esplanade is a Brian Scott off the bench, jazz the homes Eddie bitty. You know, they were kinda shoulder shoulder. So yeah. Those pieces it they just kind of flit in and everyone owns the role. And Vic just kinda just he has this way of these players play for him. And and then you got big teeth. E big in the middle. She's not forcing anything..

"I called Kentucky game in this these. Now granted I did call their loss to ole miss shout out to coach yo, but that was a tough game for them without Macy Morris. But I think how smooth Ryan is, you know. And obviously, your concern is okay. So she can score it, right? She can take over game. I love the way she rebounds her to Nassau County. But you're concerned coming into the tournament. She's a freshman like how many teams are we talking about entering the tournament being led by freshman? Not that many and definitely not that many that we have a shot to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. So that is the only thing but other than that. I mean, they've got you know, Macy, and you kind of feel like Kentucky is rejuvenated. But when you are facing. You know teams that just have more NCA experience. You know, if they do end up running up against I mean, NC state that's going to be a challenge. Because state does have you know, experience. But what do you what do you think? Do they have what it wakes? The thing about Ryan Howard is that with Taylor Murray, and they see more. It's kind of like Ryan than what the game come to her. So she it's not all on her shoulders. And to me I was wondering when she came to SEC tournament if she was going to be like, oh, you know on the lights. It's a huge. Pageantry. You know, she was unfazed. I mean in the fourth quarter against Missouri. Granted they didn't win. You know, she she wanted the ball. She demands it and she hits the shot from not worried about her come into a tournament time about about being a freshman. She's a sophomore now, she's already grown up like she's rude on but Kentucky, you know. I talked to coach Mitchell just the other day, and they've spent a lot of time working on their defense. And that's kind of been the difference. I feel like with Kentucky this year is they're getting they're getting back to defending turning people over. And then now you've got a player like Ryan Howard. When you need a basket toss score. I mean, that's kind of how she can roll. And that's nice to have if you're if you're Matthew Mitchell. I just worry about their waxes post players. I mean, it really have a huge post presence.
