"Miller thank you to Aaron Rodgers, former teammate in Green Bay. Ryan Grant running back who was undrafted on draft weekend out of Notre Dame before catching on with the Packers and a couple 1000 yard seasons. They're in Green Bay and the backfield with Rogers had some Some pretty good. I want to say inside info but insight into Aaron and kind of, you know, Aaron thinking, Hey, you know, But look what I've given you. I have the leverage. I have the power right now. So kind of wheeled to my or yield to my desires and whims will see Green Bank coming with more money or some kind of situation that appeases Rogers and makes him want to at least stay for another year and Green Bay. Courtney. Let's have to the MBA because we're winding down the stretch of the regular season here just about two more weeks left in the regular season, Um and LeBron James and Anthony Davis are back together again on the court for the first time in a long time, aided, returned Ah, week or two ago, LeBron James over this weekend. And he's playing again tonight, his second game back from injury. It's not going well for the Lakers at home. They're losing to the Toronto Raptors and this Raptor team. Mind you is playing without Fred Vanvleet. Plane with out who else is not in the lineup for them there. Aaron Baynes is out of the lineup. Um, they don't have Gary Trent, either. The new addition they brought over from Portland. Ondo. Gee, I don't know be. They're kind of Big Three Indy stopper who'd guard LeBron. So all of those players key rotational players out and the Raptors were up 88. The 71 right now on the Lakers late in the third quarter, LeBron has 15 Anthony Davis's Get some shade from Laker Nation on Twitter. He has just nine points, four rebounds, five assists. According to those who follow the team, he looks disengaged or least those who root for the team. He looks disengaged, and they think he has collected his check his one ring and most to check out for the season. So you tell me They did lose the first game back with LeBron. They're losing this game right now. I don't put much stock into this. I was talking on daily wages this week or after. Actually Saturday morning that now is the time to buy Lakers futures again to win the NBA championship. You're not going to find a better price than right now. Plus 3 50. I think they were Plus 2 50 plus 2 25 when the NBA championship before LeBron's injury when they're first place in their second place, whatever it was in the Western Conference, But now the next are the favorite in Vegas. Would rather lay my money on LeBron James and Anthony Davis, especially since people are probably doubting them a little bit right now, I think once the post seasons begins, no matter where they're seated No one's gonna want to play the Lakers and they will be the toughest out in the Western Conference. Right? And I think what LeBron said the other day, too, about his health during his first return against in that loss against the king. So if if this goes on to be another loss for them, that's going to be there Six time in seven games that they've lost In the playoffs or like, you know, 88 games away at this point, am I worried? No, not as much as I would be, if if the injury was different, and I think that the self awareness from LeBron of where he is in this, realizing that he's not going to be 100% in the playoffs and really at any point of his career from here on out, I mean, He's I think that I think that that was just a very heads up thing to say that. You know you're gonna be battling through this stuff and to see Just a different sense of life that came back into this team. And, you know, I know that you know people are saying tonight, Anthony Davis looks disengaged doesn't want to be there. What have you but Um, I don't. I don't bet on anybody. I don't bet against LeBron James when when he's out there. I mean, he has that different gear, even if he's not at 100%. That he'll be able to shift you, I think, really, you know? The bigger question is can Anthony Day Is he Anthony Davis going to be able to support his his teammate in where he's at these? I mean, not too long ago, he was coming off injury to and getting back into game shape and getting back into the condition that comes with this, and we know that that finals run is going to be a very long stretch. They went through it. Eight months ago in the bubble. I don't know if that fatigue and maybe the fact that, like Davis and LeBron or, you know, in theory, more rested going into the playoffs. At that point, even though they were dealing with injuries, maybe that'll pay off for them, but You know, this is still LeBron's league and I have a really hard time saying while he missed all this time, you know this is what happened with the Lakers and his absence or they no longer the favorites in the West. You know what about Utah? The sons? You know, Denver? What have you? I still think that When it's all said and done. It's the Lakers out of the West. I I agree with you. I don't bet against LeBron James. I think it's More realistic to doubt or bet the Brooklyn Nets that it is the L. A Lakers at this point, the next haven't done it together. The Lakers did it together last year, and they have still the best player in the NBA and LeBron James and I do think that slip. That that switch will flip. Pardon me in the postseason, and they still have, you know, 78 games to kind of ramp up. So, yeah. Disappointing loss to Sacramento. Yeah, a disappointing performance tonight so far against the Raptors, which again that they likely will lose as well to a team that they shouldn't lose, too. But it's it is the regular season. It doesn't quite matter when we get to the postseason. There's so many other teams that I will question more than the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James. So now's the time to buy If I If I was offering up advice, if you think the Lakers can win the championship, which I think they absolutely can Now's the time to buy. The price will not get better on the Los Angeles Lakers and leave, plus 3 50.

Fred Vanvleet Aaron Baynes Aaron Rodgers Gary Trent Ryan Grant Anthony Davis Davis LeBron James LeBron Brooklyn Nets Aaron Toronto Raptors Los Angeles Lakers L. A Lakers 88 games Raptors 71 Green Bank seven games 100%

"Down on the knees and so Paul says well. God had God has need of the Nass but not this, ass. Needs. The steps back ends up, it ends up being several months and finally to get Colonel Del Monte who was the chief of the people he gives at Trent up to this point and so then he reins Julia's the third. Now There's a lot of things we could have that Julia's the third and. Unfortunately legitimate Stevens are overlooked by his very scandalous you know behavior. So basically, the papacy returns to a very pre Paul third type of paper renaissance style papacy who wanted to spend a lot of time at the via. Julia which he built nepotism is back on the menu. Mean it had been pulled third, slightly being restrained, and then there's this someone in his entourage him into Schenn's Odell Martin and. He makes them. Cardinal. And this disaffected youth. was just known for every vice and eventually did need a leader on during Paul Fort Pious. The rain does a few murders and then he has day kit put in jail eventually, they would strip the card with from him but. In the meantime Julius third makes him a cardinal and then the salacious rumors start flying in contemporary reports that Paul a third has some kind of pederasty relationship with this youth that he's made card. And Julius a third. Julius erving. Able Julius third in. So nevertheless, in spite of this atmosphere is highly problematic atmosphere. There are still a few accomplishments that he does make one. He starts trying to reform the Dettori of where the data as is the anglicized, which was an office that basically gave you all the exemptions to whatever law as long as you could pay enough money and it it was a major source of curiel income. So he started the work that would eventually assist in getting that reformed although wouldn't happen in and a few other reforms but the biggest thing is that against major opposition from Charles v Gets Trent. "Show what they had him, and they know that with all the turnover on this other players have left the guy in the command control, you'd better take care of overpay. One of them. You didn't overpay Earl overpay. Systematic. That number right? To do that, Indianapolis Colts quarterback. Andrew luck sat out the teams I ta practice session of the year yesterday, and again today is he deals with a strained calf head coach Frank Reich told reporters that look suffered the injury. Raw training with the team and the quarterback will be reevaluating heading into next week. But caution is the word of the day inside trading going on there. I think the difficult out enough to make a Super Bowl run. They added longtime. Chiefs, Ed rusher Justin, Houston boosting pass rush that ranked twenty second pressure rate last year. They also side Devin funchess to a one year deal to help look out and most of last year's play squad is back as Allwood's and Ryan grant or the only regular starters who deported as we say, alot from the film room brought to you five horizon. They have enough. Do they have enough firepower Lewis to get this done? In addition to those veterinary was look at what they didn't address the Paris Campbell from Ohio. State, who's just an absolute blazer to go along with TY and funches on the defensive side. They draft rock you invited temple to be one of their starting corners. I think one of the one of the things you're gonna wanna watch for an offense align. That was so dominant last year they've off, it's a line coach Howard Mudd is back in the fold here in Indianapolis who I worked with in Philadelphia who's like the godfather of offense of line play. So they have a lot going for Chris Bowden. Jim has done a great job of getting guys that fit the profile physically, and mentally that he wants. He's very specific about it. The guy is very, very knowledgeable as far as the game of football, it self for as danza DMZ go call to be, right there as long as number twelve stay south. Stay healthy. Here's a name to file away. The colts love twenty eighteen draft pick Dion Cain wide receiver out of Clemson clemson's got a long history of producing excellent wide receivers. And yes, Paris Campbell. It's going to be big factor next t y Hilton, but I think Dion Cain coming up in a C L injury should beat a much better spot and ready to contribute. That's the name of just keep in mind there in that indie offense that last year with really no threat at wide receiver other than to Hilton still found a way to not only make it to the playoffs..

"The raiders retweeted him and said Monday motivation because he's talking about the upcoming draft in a tweet. Everything ends good for a writer to give this to a player and say give him a motion and help him. You know, hype them up for the draft everything he said, there will be people in this world hate you for no reason, just because they're told taught to just guy keep it pushing and stay away from the negative vibes. You know, that's going to help players because they you know, fall down the draft boards. They've negative vibes in them, and they had to push through and get top. That's really nice of and really good to hear Whitehead to do that really nice of the raiders a first-class organization to re tweet him like that. Okay. And then I'll just jump in there is it. My turn zone you. Okay. What about Marcel? Even I like him out of Oklahoma state. He's what. Now, he'll be in the second year last year was his rookie year great learning experience. But now. That you have you have tyrel Williams. He have AB, right? Hopefully, they'll get Metcalf. And no I mean as a wide receiver. I think this is his time the shine right this upcoming season. So I just, you know, looking ahead here at at a potential, you know, major contributor right for the for the raiders this year. I think he's going to have a stand out season. And he'll he's going to break out because he's got so much talent. Ryan grant is now, you know, another wide receiver right that they signed through free agency. And there's a guy that no one's gonna pay attention to you line them up in the slot. And just let them go. He's fast. He can catch. Marcel eightman is that that I played at the right way. Rage, avi. "But for the most part everything you said is spot on about him. So I totally see him. I think I'd be more comfortable with him at twenty seven. Honestly, I a guy that we haven't mentioned yet. And if he's at twenty four I would jump into any go up and take him, and I don't care who the raiders got in at number four is Cleveland Farrell of clue Farrell's there. I'm jumping up there and take off. Quick fast in a hurry. I like him. I actually my my dream scenario is a Williams at four and feral at twenty four, and I'm happy, and then twenty seven is a is a is almost like a, you know, when you're playing Ono, and you can now not, you know, anyway, whatever game it is where you could use an ace for one or ten or whatever whatever game that is. I don't know. I don't play cards at twenty one. Yeah. Yeah. There you go. It's one of those man, it's as it's Ason whole that'd be that number twenty seven overall pick. If you can go with feral at twenty four, and you can get Williams before I'd be thrilled. Would you be opposed to at twenty four a guy like AJ Brown Mississippi State, if he's I mean, he should be there. Maybe a parent's Campbell guy. You can move to the slot. One of those two guys in at that. Even though you have Williams you have a B. You have a Ryan grant you have JJ Nelson. But you know, nothing hasn't really produced. He doesn't speak guy. Yup. Grants coming off an injury. And you know, you got worry about his. Reduction if you're expecting because for a thousand yards, you are full of really good drugs because that's not gonna happen this year because going to be aby Williams and then everybody else, but a guy like Brown to really bridge the gap for a few years, and I can make the argument about I'm not going to he may be the best receiver in his class. Have. Ducks in and everything. Yeah. No, I'm with you. I've said that a few times while everybody was talking about decay Metcalf. I said I think is teammate I think teammates better than him. You know, I'm I'm way higher on AJ Brown. I wouldn't mind taking him. I think he'd be another guy that I probably wait until number twenty seven, and I might wait too long. Someone else will probably grab him. But worse the worst. You know, the the one the one guy that could end up being a for the raiders in. I'm not super high on them. But he's a burner. That's a that's marquees Hollywood Brown. But that Lind's Frank surgery. He had that kind of scares me. And I wanted to drop him at least the third round, but he's not going to be the third round. And he probably won't be there in the second round. But just say he dress just because teams are kind of concerned about that. If the raiders feel comfortable with that. I could see him being a take the top off the defense type, dude. And you know, what I mean, you got Markey's Brown one side. You gotta it's only Brown on the other side, and they're happy as can be because they're related, and then you got Tyrell Williams as well. Yeah. I could see that being a helluva receiving core right there. Because what I've notice. And one thing that I really broke down and was looking at some research that I was doing AB is going to need some help. You know? I mean, he's he's been a stud. He is a stud. I I know this. But last year he worked with onside juju Smith Schuster who's a stud is in his own. Right. So now, they have they just have. I don't I'm not trying to disrespect anybody. But they got they got parts next to now they had stars Negga. You know, what I mean they were stars next to each other. Now, they just have other pieces around them. So I think that they still need to to make that why receiving core. The just the weapons on offense period. I think they do need to step that up to make sure to ensure the AB is going to have a really good productive season. Make this raider offense really a weapon man, something that that teams have to prepare themselves for and not something that they think, oh, we just got a double cover Abyan..

"It's not like they were this two and fourteen dumpster fire of a team that had to clean house. They were always right there. I'm always right onto cuss always right in that Super Bowl contention. And I think a lot of guys spelt like, you know, they have different reasons and different people and things to blame. But come back close and to be that close dynasty. I think it does frustrate guys. And whether the frustration leads them to point finger at the quarterback to the head coach to the GM. I think that you know, they thought a lot of leaders on those early teams. We're just kind of you know, let out the door, and they didn't they didn't pay up for the guys that that glued that team together that the TJ Lang's guy sittings, the the Ryan grant the Ryan pickett's BJ Raji, and and when that leadership vacuum with kinda created Rogers, this wasn't the typical to embrace that role. I don't like. Percy was and they were always just kind of good when it could have been great. And it'd be that close that many years over a decade. It's things for guys it's wild that you kind of have to earn. Rogers proof, your your locker room in terms of leadership. When when you're devoid of those leaders he cannot answer the Bill in that. That instance, Tyler. What what happens now because Matt leflore has been empowered by this front office. And there's really a ringing endorsement and also a quote that says, hey, this is pretty much this guy. You gotta deal with them. What are we going to find out about Aaron Rodgers you think this season in terms of having a coach it's only four years older than him and is expected to take this offense to where it was supposed to be with Mike McCarthy. Yeah. I mean, I think that Greg journeyings put it really, well, I mean, he's going to have to undergo a little self reflection and just kinda the side. I if they'll subtle small sacrifices he has to make he's going to make them. And it's it doesn't have to be a lot as you said. It doesn't have to be like, you know, a, you know, like you're completely changing the way to play the game. It's it's playing within an offense, you know, entrusting the met with four is gonna put you in those positions to make place because for a while. Now, I think Aaron Rodgers has felt like he's had to extend plays. He perceives to be not working and and change a lot of place me last season is when it got really bad. So he can play within that offense within the confines of a metaphor wants to do. You know, do the kind of little things to Tom Brady does pretty naturally it can work, but look he's thirty five his head coach and he's had for over decades unemployed. A lot of talent that he had early in his career. It's gone. And everything I heard is really wasn't willing to work with a lot of those rookie receivers last year. So it's going to have to take a lot of eagle. You know, he's gotta definitely swallow the pride. So I'll let you go in a lot of new different ways. And I think the Jennings the finley's and and others question if he's willing to do that. It's being sarahspain Jason filling in for Fitz on ESPN radio. We are presented by progressive insurance. NFL Quarterback Analysis - Which teams have it made?

"You know, we were talking about Tom Brady, and I just don't buy into the, you know, the system quarterback thing. Although I do think if you put drew Brees where Tom is. I think he'd have a lot of success when when I got into a discussion the other day about Tom I asked an Hugh Jackson about this off the air. I said you face Tom Brady many times. What does he do athletically that special any o- one of the things he said is first of all he's bigger than you think when you when you walk up the Tom Brady, he's all a six four and a half six five. And he said the second thing is he throws a really good football. When you watch him on tape. If you didn't know it was Tom Brady what jumps out to you. I'm not talking about leader. Ship, but what jumps out to you physically? Well, I would definitely call an echo. Would you Jackson said at the second thing? He throws a really good ball, and it sort of became gospel early in his career that he doesn't have a big arm and a big arm is a relative thing, you know, who's arm is not in Matthew Stafford's arm. Let's say, but he throws a really good ball. And you know, that to just by common sense by where he plays and the fact that in November and December January his ball cuts through it does. So he throws a really good ball with a bigger arm and a better on people probably think. Yeah. That would also say that would make him really good apart from the mental which is very critical. But let's leave that aside for the moment was I think his ability to work within the pocket and navigate the pocket is outstanding. You know, we're not talking about being able to run a fast forty or run. Run outside the pocket and throw on the run. I'm talking about the ability to work really effectively with believe it or not relatively light feet in an area. Let's say this is over a little smaller than a boxing ring. Yeah. No, that's well, he slides very well. Yep. He's got an intuitive sense of pressure, which the great ones generally done. Have. You know, I was watching the Packers this last week and just an eye test. They don't do a lot of motion. They don't look clever as the Rams they don't look as sharp as the bears. We we've talked about Aaron Rodgers ad-libbing. Sometimes too much holding the ball too much. When I watched the Packers is some of this on McCarthy that they just state my the I test is Aaron has to provide the special and the creative. I don't see a lot of creative out of their offense. That's what my eyes tell me. Well, let me ask you this. You know, obviously, they want a Super Bowl. I can't remember everything they did six or seven years ago as I'm sure you can. Either. But my guess is that Mike McCarthy because he has a definite philosophy had a playoff a football hasn't changed dramatically fair. So if that's the case, then you know, what is ultimately changed? I, you know, I'm not sure exactly at answer that I think the Packers over the last number of years have not been very committed to running the football. I think they were more so back a number of years ago when you think about those two or three years consecutively that Ryan grant had where I don't have the numbers in front of me. But I bet he had two hundred thirty two hundred forty carries. And he was used essentially as feature back. You know, I don't think they've been running that style of offense in recent years. Speaking of the bears, John FOX was there with Trubisky. And now, it's Matt Nagy are they are they doing things because right now, I think the bears are better than the Packers. And I know him in the minority are they doing things offense eternally, which you believe are absolutely elevating Trubisky. They're averaging thirteen more points a game. What is he doing to a quarterback icy with a very low ceiling? Well, I think what what the matinees do and good offensive coach ado is they present defined reads and based on their route concepts versus anticipated coverages.

"It's not always because he's just not as good as everyone thought. It's because he's playing through something because Andrew luck didn't want to say on heard, didn't want to talk about the injury, but in two thousand fifteen. He wasn't himself in twenty sixteen. He was good, but not like what you'd think prime your career elite level quarterback would be. But he was playing through something there as well if he can. He was ninety six quarterback rating forty two hundred yards passing in two thousand sixteen when he wasn't fully healthy, right? Yes. So even if he's rusty if he is fully healthy, if that what he can do with a damage shoulder, I'm excited to see what he can do with this colts team this year with a healthy shoulder first time in years, but sees point. I mean, I was looking at their wide receiver depth chart, and I saw wait Ryan grant. Listen, I cover the NFL for a living. The Ryan grant, unfamiliar with a running back in Green Bay. I had to go to his page. I was like, oh, he was a receiver in Washington last year. He was their big free agent acquisition at the wide receiver position. Oh, did they upgrade the running back spot? No, it's still. I mean, they took a fourth round running back Naim Hinds and then Marlin MAC like they don't. He doesn't have a lot of weapons. They drafted in that offense lineman, which is critical. They spent their top ten pick on Quinton Nelson, but the weaponry, other than t y Hilton is not there, which has been a theme for his career. I would imagine if they had to choose where they were going to put stock in what they were going to draft, it would be to protect Andrew luck first and foremost, and then figure out who they're going to throw do. So we talk about, we use words like rusty. We use words like excited to get back. What are realistic expectations? I know the first four games of the precedes and even the first couple of games of the regular season, it's going to be a little bit of a slow, go to get him back into where them what do you expect from him from this realistically to end the. Disease for four thousand yards. Twenty eight touchdowns matter how many interceptions but we're comes more important is not those numbers is the other numbers that we've seen when he came into league in two thousand twelve. No quarterback has been hit as many times as him or pressured. He went through a stint in two thousand fourteen. We're on. Dropback attempt passes. No one was pressured more than him. So we talked about a great quarterback. We're talking about his weapons and everything, but the book on the colts before this new regime took over when you play them, go after the quarterback their offense lines. Not that good. They got some good weapons. I think they're gonna miss Dante Moncrieff for went in free agency to Jacksonville, but go after the quarterback and until the coats are able to come up with a solution for that. That's what the NFL is going to do to look. And that's why I think they're draft pick was such a smart one. Typically, you don't see guard going as high as Quinton Nelson went, but no matter how athletic you are a quarterback needs athletic, no matter how tough you are. You. Cannot avoid pressure up the middle like you can if you're tackle beat that I understand that's bad pressure up the middle you. That's the hardest thing to avoid. They got a blue chip garden, Quinton Nelson out of Notre Dame. Yeah. Even better than that. I'm not gonna say blue chip like this kid is going to be an all pro player for a long, longtime, monster and college football overall athleticism. You typically don't see from a guard and also he is a huge man, but they got it right in getting him kind of a hometown product there from Notre Dame Bill to help out that colts and their interior offense of one other thing about that hit step because I saw your friends, a pro football focus, tweeted out something similar that and you re tweeted at this week. So I was I was looking into it a little bit. Some of that has been bad offense of line play. Some of that has been coach me..
