"Of people who have worked really hard to make this work. It kind of all filters through Roman ranges feel. And there are several people that come to me to present things to Roman. And then Roman and I will talk about it and come back with either something that fits into their narrative or we would hope we can perhaps enhance it or put it in our own words or come back with now that that doesn't work for us, but what about this and then start a different process in that we're bouncing ideas off of them. When I say them, you know, the thing with Sami started when Vince was still running creative. So it started under Vince McMahon's creative regime. It was a seamless transition to Paul levesque. There were times where we're sitting in a room and it's Roman and it's me and it's The Usos and one of The Usos will just say, you know what would be really good with Sammy and it's oh my God. Why aren't we doing that already? You will find things that come from The Usos that would shock you just how great they are. There's Michael Hayes and Michael Hayes has an understanding about telling a story within the body of a match that very few in history could ever claim to be on par with. The SmackDown writing team, which is led by Ryan Callahan, who is an unsung hero in what we've put together. Ryan Callahan and his team, which there's Michael kirshenbaum, who you never hear about. You know, kirsch as we call him. Who on a week to week basis along with a gentleman named Chad barbash. And another name Zach Hyatt. And these are all people that will come and sit in a room with us or sit in a locker room with us or on Roman's bus or in a conference call. And we'll throw around ideas and what resonates with you. You have teenage kids. Well, this is a story of acceptance and what tales are they telling from the cafeteria at lunchtime in high school. You know, it's just, it's really a team and a lot of unsung heroes. A lot of people that you don't read about online because they very intentionally keep their names out of the headlines. Who have worked their asses off to put this all together. You said people will go to you with ideas you filter it out and then go to Roman.

"A contentious meeting, the loudoun county school board voted not to release an internal report into the school system's handling of two students sexual assaults. Parents have been calling on the board to release that report for months, but the board voted to keep it under wraps, citing attorney client privilege and student privacy calls to release the report came after a separate grand jury report found school leaders were generally incompetent in responding to the assaults. Former loudon schools superintendent Scott ziegler and schools spokesman wade bayard were indicted by that special grand jury, now one of the defendants is worried he won't get a fair trial. It's a story you're hearing first on WTO. Governor Glenn youngkin and attorney general Jason Millar's have tainted the entire jury pool, according to wade bayard's lawyer, attorney Jennifer loeffler writes that the governor and AG have often referred to loudon residents as being victims of a cover up and that their children were in danger. Since bayard is the school spokesman, that suggests he personally failed to inform parents of the alleged assaults. She says Virginia law insists that jurors not have a stake in the case they're hearing, she's filed a change of venue motion asking bayard's case be tried in fairfax county. Yeah i've never played it will now obviously haven't but you know yeah Beautiful of course they have the Why don't they still do the trying to bear for for a while. The final suck Yeah absolutely beautiful course in very challenging all right favorite. Nhl moment Probably the rangers and game seven mandar nice with tampa and the conference. Final that sick. Yeah that's awesome so i got traded. Obviously the following year we went to the conference finals game says and you know at the garden where i grew kind of grew up so Not get win and go on and stanley cup finals. Every special moment with decade medicare just thinking about everything. Right all right i know. Jt mentioned guinness. But what your drink of choice. Drink of choice. How you know. That's a tough one. Because i i'm literally i go from wine. Beer vodka tequila. I'm i'm all over the board. So i don't i i'm not. I'm not picky when it comes to my booth. As long as it's wet right exactly do it. You know if. I'm having they stay geragos line if you know if i'm gonna turn up a bit maybe a little if you love but from outside grilling i need to hear all right. Well what about. What about on the golf course. What are you drinking on the golf course. Every drinking beer usually yeah. Yeah yeah definitely definitely appear on the course. Yes i've been on a transfusion kick. Dal- dallas definitely a hockey players response. Well like tequila the wine the drinks. Whatever you're throwing meal that's it all right last one. What's in the bag. What's what are you playing your golf bag driver. Three would wedges i got px He actually everything right now. I got got bit by them. A couple of years ago down in florida and i enjoyed them so from drivers down to my wedges is all px right now. They've built a nice brand there that's for sure. Their first driver was not good. I see nothing like ten. I'm like what the hell is happening with my hidden driver. One hundred and seventy yards. Pass me. I'm like this thing is not actually won the one club my bag. "We're playing tonight. He was playing with you. You know you could poor guys. Loughgall follows act like. Oh we're going after practice in the nhl and that's an interesting thing. I think people think that these hockey players. That's all i do's hockey and they don't have a life outside of hockey but in the nhl when you plant a warmer city is it generally accepted on your off days or maybe after a practice. You don't have a game the next day to go peg it up after route. Yeah it's it is. I mean it's just a you get away from it all to write. You're thinking in playing hockey twenty. Four seven you're gonna get burned out worn out so you have the luxury of living in a warm city where you know you can play golf in december and get away from the game a little bit and you know just outside and clear your head. It's definitely welcomed and it's not frowned upon it. All by you know coaches or the organization. It's me it's no everybody's everybody's doing that. So i mean there's a there's a run there with talking about you. Know j. t. miller me j. t. miller had men and coast. We were when we fly into a city towards the end of the year. So that he's getting not nice but warming optic often just find any muny anywhere. We were applying into detroit. We'd find him. Uni put on our wear. Had you know thread shirts. Go read clubs and go play as you know. I mean you know it's It's just something you do. Yeah you can't beat it and you know you just can't beat it. You can't beat it. Have you ever played any golf in west. virginia. I have not nope. I'll man we gotta we gotta get you down. Let me know when. I'm in a try to try to link up and maybe do some charity. But no. that's the beautiful thing about golf. It connects people. Like i don't have a gold medal a silver medal. Red metal. your never skated on on a on. The ice in a professional relevant play is argued for eight years with my buddy here to my right. Got to peewee. I bear but what we have here as a common denominator golf. And that's i think it's beautiful. I.

"Yep awesome all right so you just got off the golf course How how'd you play Not bad for me. A shock eighty eighty two today which is usually him back ballpark. Yes i'm i'm a six handicap and A little high for me. But i played the A member here in rochester. Okay yeah. I played the championship. Course Today so i have my challenges with the russ russell little long sometimes lacking through. Yeah yeah of course looks beautiful. I never played it but it was the strength of your game putting My short game actually has been Good my drive. Drive is what hurts me. yeah i i'm a long distance. I two ways. But i mean i think has probably most players have keeping it keeping street sometimes but yeah it's I love it. I mean i. I love playing golf. I play since i was know real young and You know something. I really enjoy doing. Well you know what it is chase. And that's what we talk about on chasing birdies. I mean we're out there chasing birdies in you know you get through around a golf. You might not be playing. Well you come down to eighteen hole year two good shot and guess what you can't you're already thinking about when you come back. I mean that's golf one hundred percent. Yeah you're right. I mean thinking about eighteen today. Pretty close match with a buddy of mine out playing and it went a little right and kind of the rock in and go all the way up with an elevated eighteenth green upset at the bottom of a chip past the whole sitting on the fringe behind the whole maybe country from the whole looking downhill. He's putting to. He's about twenty feet away. he ends up three. I put mine off. The fringe hit the pin drop. It could have been better shot to win the match. So that's exactly you're right right there. I was like okay. Well when we when we playing against. That's right there. That's that's the best part about golf too. I mean do you think about it. You were one of the most elite athletes for thirteen years. And you still have the ability to play golf for the rest of your life with your children with your best friends. I mean there's very few things in this world that we can do a with three other buddies that you really enjoy and travel the world west.

Espn as a teacher analyst. can't confirm tonight that i guess you know up in spinal. Is there yet. But i've done stuff with the nhl network and i've also done stuff with nbc past year and a half now and never enjoyed it. I thought it was. It keeps me in the game talking hockey watching hockey. So i've had fun with it and You know we'll see we'll see what comes next with awesome. I know in the few conversations. United have had you've formed foundation with your wife the ryan callahan foundation. So do you want to kind of fill listeners. in a little bit about your foundation. What it's doing and how we can help. Yeah absolutely so yes. I got to tampa i six year. Deal there We knew we're going to be in tampa for a while. And my wife. And i wanted to give back and do something for the for the community there and you know my my wife lost a family member early pediatric cancer. And i just do doing work in new york with with with kids with cancer. It's something that both how near and dear to us to our hearts and so just started pretty simple and we're having Pediatric cancer families. Come to the game sitting the street. bias read. We bring a bunch of families then and then after the game they'd come down i'd sign some autographs. Take some pictures and through meeting. These families were like we. We gotta be more. These kids are amazing families. Need more you know. Money wise support So through that we. After that first year we started the ryan callahan out asia. Got you guys. Got our five at once. He three and and we expanded what we were doing and we started what we call it. The two four klopp where it's almost like a make a wish style type of thing where we were picking a family each month and sending them on vacation so place where they wanted to go for for the weekend and in our foundation kind of geared toward family unity and spending time together away from the treatment center to make me make memories. "Time right now. I think it's a shame. I'll be honest with you. Do not send your child players there. you know. Obviously didn't they were gonna last olympics and it's just it's such a. It's such an honor to be able to represent your country needs more than hockey Me more than a sport You know and you want the best players in the world over there and you know to take extremely lucknow. Obviously playing to think about the young guys coming in now that would have a chance to grow and having that maybe taking away taking away from them. And i think it's a shame i mean i understand the business side of it with the money and insurance and everything else but i i just think shame because it's quite a feeling to be able to put on that. Usa sweater and it represents something way bigger than yourself or either way sport hockey. Well in like you said to growing up as a hockey player. There's things that you strive to get is stanley cup and a gold medal in taken that away that second part away from from any of the gel players which like you said. There's nothing like those games. You got the best talent in the world on the same ice. I mean the fourth lines are first lines on most nhl. Exactly does that cry crosby. Did he score the game winner. And that game. Yeah he did he did. Yeah i still have nightmares him coming out of the corner shooting and putting it in the net. Yeah so he did he He toured the weather. There you've been in the league for a long time in your minds in a time that you played who had the best work. The hardest worker most talent. Would you say. I mean. I guess that's two different questions you talked about the most talented player and i probably would say crosby is probably the most talented all around player in mcdavid. I think is maybe challenge that but you know. I don't think he's there yet. But i would definitely put crosby as the back player that i played against just in terms of everything he can do and he was very good defensively. Good on faceoffs. You'd set his talking made linemates way better than sometimes they should have been. You know tour goal just unbelievable leader as well. so he's probably the best player returns a work ethic. There's there's a lot of guys are probably stick out to me. I think one of them is is one hundred one quest and the way he worked you know way he mastered his craft. He was a guy that was on the ice early and late and always trying to get better work with the goalie coach there in new york. You know he was. He's a hard working guy but we at that level. There's a lot of guys that put the hard work into get there right so hard to point out one or two but he pops in my head for probably got it that that worked really hard as craft and it showed on the ice for sure..

The watch. I mean talent after talent. You got stamkos headman. There's so much talent on a team right now and did you play with stamkos. Was he there when yup yup yup. I play with her the whole time i was there. Yeah obviously unbelievable guy. Could captain him became very close. Good friends good friends now. So i was extremely excited last year when i got to see the same finally went after all the injuries. And everything he's got to finally let you know that was That's pretty special. So did you play in tampa with our good friend. Jt miller de did yeah. He was part of the wave of new york players that they came over. It seemed like new york and tampa opened up the floodgates trade wise we had boiler strongmen mcdonagh me And then obviously You build. He came over as well. i played with him in new york. And then i i also played with. Yeah he had mentioned that He drinks more guinness than you sat right. Couple on the road. Dory we We put the a couple of times. But he's a great guy. We we have some The memorable nights in some good days together he had mentioned I think one memorable have been a couple of memorable nights. After you guys got swept in tampa. He said that you guys had a good good few nights there with with the guinness. Oh yeah we did Probably one too many but sometimes apart. Tenderer researchers yeah. I'm sure that as well right up. "Bright lights you are under the microscope. It's almost a little bit of. You're not in canada. Obviously but it's y- they knew everything about you. Yeah it was definitely different. I think i. I was lucky enough as that's where i started. So that's all. I knew if that if that makes sense you know so Going into the league and obviously eventually becoming captain they're like i mean people ask me like what about the media attention like i didn't i didn't know anything different so i just kind of how it was and then you know so i was okay with it i. It's kinda how i grew up. You know realizing that you know everything you do and every move you make. Someone shouldn't be watching or you're gonna have media attention around you. And then i got traded to tampa remember my first game and tap on the locker room after the game and you know new york. Usually the media comes comes flying in you. Know there's fifteen twenty people cameras everything and so sitting down. There's like maybe two or three reporters no cameras. I'm like i said the is our filth below sitting next to me. I said you know big guy stuck in the elevator. Like where's the rest of the these is. This is my colleague cows. You're right. I really like the difference real quick. You know what's what's i got tampa and i think it'd be tougher to go from a team like that. You know to new york. Where when you're used to that but kinda of how i i grew up in what i do so it didn't make a difference to me well and that's the crazy thing right now with you. Look at the nhl very young league right now in these nineteen year old kids twenty year. Old kids coming into the league and they handle the media gracefully way. I mean it's it's really cool to watch How mature these kids are. And i feel like a lot of that tuesday social media aspect of. You didn't really have to worry about that when you were in new york. That's.

We appreciate your time. We know it's valuable. So thanks for joining us. Yes you got drafted one hundred twenty seventh overall in two thousand four by the rangers which that has to be. I mean i. I assume that you arrange your san growing up being from rochester. new york. yeah it was Actually being from rochester is a big sabers fan. Growing up again Just down. I ninety not far for me so two games a year my dad and brother and stuff but i think being drafted by the rangers probably second best to that just being an original sixteen as you start to think anybody who lives in new york. State is roots for the rangers as well i. I always cheered for them as well. sort of be able to pick up by them. I think i was kind of a Dream come true just it. So it's such a historic organization. I think is the biggest thing at all. I couldn't have been more excited. The first year i was eligible for the draft. I've passed up. Nobody selected me. So i was just happy to go the second year and it was the ranger so jerry is up. So is that a little bit of a chip on your shoulder for the second year. You that little gap. There work a little bit harder. Proven wrong type thing. Yeah absolutely you know that that first euros up playing junior hockey in canada and my first draft eligible year. "My old stomping grounds in Kansas City, which I'm super excited about. So if you're a old school, Kansas City D, a show listener between the years 03 and 08 The infancy of this absurdity. Going to be doing a reunion show. The station asked me to If I'd like to do that one time this summer. As a fill in guest host and I said, Absolutely, That'd be awesome. So we're dusting off all the old ridiculousness coming up here one week from today. I'll still be doing my morning. Show this this show throughout next week, but I'll be doing Tuesday afternoon show from 6 10 Sports Radio and K C and then also my morning show from Casey for a couple of days as well. That should be awesome. I'm looking forward to stuffing my moth full of ribs and Kansas City barbecue and just being basically a total slob next week, so very, very much excited about this there. I'm going to end up having Burnt ends kind of like and sausages hanging from my chin all week long. That's going to be on Tuesday. And if you don't catch that, because that will be local in Kansas City, you can always stream it obviously as well and I'll tweet out all the links for that. But we'll have that in podcast form on the normal D a show podcast feed. If you want to have a Little look through the looking glass at the old School D a show. But also you can Check it out. We'll have it on YouTube as well. Patrick Tweet, some trashing more. As for yesterday's show, all show he had to let us all know how bad he was feeling and that it was his flu game. He's working from home and probably didn't even change what he wore to bed. The situation was anybody else. He'd say the same thing. Hashtag get him out so frustrating face. I only joined for an hour yesterday to talk about the basketball game from over the weekend. But even in that short time frame that I was there Peres had mentioned a number of times. Take it. D a. I'm happy that you're here. I can't talk anyway, I've got the flu. I feel terrible. I'm on a Z pack all this type of stuff. Bolatti. How much did Morales belly ache yesterday about being sick? Oh, not much. Yeah, I can sense the sarcasm. Bones Was this like in every segment thing. Oh, I mean, yes, It was very much, though. Like Jordan. I mean, Jordan that entire game in Utah was telling us how he didn't feel well after the game. I didn't feel well. It was typical Sean. I'm looking for a pat on the back for every single little tiny thing he did, Although he's not here today and yesterday he couldn't be brought to read. Canadian bacon. He wrote it, but I had to read it because he wasn't strong enough to read it. But again, he's so tough because he's here just without with all these symptoms of cold flu, whatever. Look at the very end of the day. This is the one thing I can say about Mahrez. He's a baby. I'm not saying he wasn't sick yesterday. I guess he was. I mean, he's out today. He's on his CPAC would have you But nobody milks being hurt. Injured. Tired, sick, overworked. What have you more than more as And You know, I love Nancy. And you know, I love Bob. I love his parents. They're wonderful to me. I love seeing them when we were up there for For Bob's Bar Day on the Memorial Day chowder dump. That something happened as a child, where he needed to be coddled and babied. And clearly he was and I think That must be the breakpoint about fart gate. And about his art project being ripped. But I guess Nancy and Bob, maybe specifically, Nancy always babied him about everything. You're great at this. You're right about this. You're the most athletic. You're the smartest boy. You're the most handsome boy. I mean. He must have heard this because then the one time that didn't happen. He was crushed. It ripped apart his life. And that was the art project Day. I thought I was going to be Picasso. And then Mom ripped my art project to write a Phone number for the insurance company on or I thought I was, You know, the charismatic, funny guy and that Mom would always protect me and love me. And then she blamed a fart on me in the wedding. And that, you know, ripped apart more as his world that he hit this dirty evil secret for years, five years upon years. It must be the case because No, but and I don't know if Danielle babies him. I'm not sure I don't know that dynamic. I don't think she doesn't strike me as the type of person that does. But something somewhere along the line happened to where he, as you just noted, needs a pat of the back in a cookie for everything he does well, and if He doesn't get the recognition that somebody's acknowledge that he has gone through something. It's like, you know, he'll shrivel up and die. I mean, remember when he slammed his finger in the door of the of the of the studio, and he spent the 1st 15 minutes. Literally. This is not figuratively crying on the air, but what's hunger? Please refer finger. Hurt super or just totally smashed my fingers. I went to get the D a sign, dude. I can't imagine for the life of the any scenario. Where you Heat cap or myself would cry on the air unless it was the death of a loved one. And even then, there would likely be a snarky commentary about it. I mean, there would have to be so some sarcasm, but more as is just a blubbering fool about his finger getting caught in a door. The one that we we, we, your stupid It's already purple. Oh, my God! The back end is purple. Oh, my God. And I don't want to screen. Uh Derek Cheater, Freaking retires, and he cries, he cried on Ryan Callahan got traded, and he cried on the air. Mahrez has the flu, okay? We've all had the flu. He's got some some cold, some common cold fine. But like we all show up and grind through something, but he's got to make everybody know how sick he is. How this is how he's tired. He's this I did this. I worked late. I stayed up late. I was up with Taylor, right? And it's like, not everything gets you a cookie. So I don't know Bugs. Where do this began? If it was parental If it was he felt overlooked by his parents because his sisters were the golden Children. I don't know if it's in in work or In school or something happened along the way where he just felt like he needed to be acknowledged about every little thing that he feels like he went above and beyond on, even though It's just what people do. Just people just go to work. Six. Sometimes people just go to work. Tired. Sometimes people just you know, like if I when he wears a button down, he wants it noted like Hey, D A. I didn't wear a hoodie today. I didn't wear you know a Deron Williams mustard stained jersey from 2000 today, like I really I worked hard. I'm like You know? Every day during pandemic. I've woken up and done a show from my my office. I don't need credit for dressing in a button down. It's just what you do is just what you should do. But he just He's just a baby. He's just a big baby. And of course, he's a friend. And of course, he's a colleague. And of course, he's a dear friend of mine. But, you know, I tell them Tell them him this all the time. You don't need credit for everything, man. Like you don't have to get you don't have to get credit for the flu game. You just show up in you do your job, and that's it. It's just called your job. And it doesn't count. If you ask for it like you might want it. You may need it. You may be looking for it. But when you go give me my cookie. Here's what I just did it no longer counts, Because now that cookie is in genuine and there's got to be somebody listening. Who is qualified to at least half diagnosed as I'm with you, I don't know if this means that he never got recognition growing up, and that's why he has to ask forward or because he always did. He misses it. The second It's not immediate, and that's why he asks me or you or the audience or peed for it. But there is definitely Deep seated issues here and certainly connected the fact that he spent what the 1st 27 28 30 years of his life Basically living at home. I mean, he never left didn't go to way to college. I mean, again, Another thing that could have been different. He got into Duke. He spent four years down in Durham, fending for himself. He'd be a completely different person now. But he didn't leave his block until, like, seven minutes ago, when everything was done for him, So of course he needs to be..

"Shots and you know he was lucky headed on all world goalie but he also had guys like you know ryan callahan. Enteric step on and ryan mcdonagh and dan girardi and marc staal and that group of players. That would just run through wall for the guy to win hockey games. And that's why they were in the playoffs. All that you know all those years as much as i personally love tortorella back. Because i think it would be unbelievably entertaining for all of us as much as ranger fans and we know exactly what we're getting. I don't know if christopher re can do that and now. Chris jewelry was his captain on twitter. L. was the initial coach. Here drewery was still here this as captain for three years he might have been the reason that christopher retired with bad knees. I don't know he might have told them what you can't do this anymore. You need to retire. You know who knows what that relationship is. And i know that dolan loves john lennon savior more than anything christmas. I feel that way too. I feel like there's there's definitely impact by glenn say they're going on here. There's no question about that. But i do believe a lot of this is going to be. Christopher is call and everywhere. chris has been. He's been an amazing success and he's a very thoughtful guy doesn't promote himself. He's not a self promoter at all. He's been a loyal soldier. The jeff gordon and john davidson when he got here and now it's his turn and he knows exactly what the owner wants and the odor wants a tough team. Because i'm telling you. April twentieth was the stinging game against the islanders lead to two shutouts against the islanders and then ultimately pinera getting rag doll by tom wilson on on his own ice. And nobody's doing anything about it and the message has been sent his ryan strom said. I personally would love to enroll it to be great. I'm sure there are other ranger fans out there. That don't wanna see that and that's fine. It could be guy a gerard gallant. Who was the guy that has had success in. This league is supposed to be more player friendly and understanding as opposed to twitter ella but either way this yesterday had to be a just an excruciating day for chris and then now he has to turn the page and he has to do is due diligence on getting the right guy in here..

"Out the access to the outdoors right. I mean the fact that we can be hunting. Elk deer sometimes antelope Grouse we can. We can be fly fishing for native fish. Red band rambos all literally within our office elk on a hill across from our office above the cemetery in ranged three hundred yards. And so i think that there is a huge benefit in in having all of that at an arm's distance and really having more than that right in terms of the outdoor rec side skiing mountain biking trail running mountaineering rock climbing all of that. And that's really what birds first light right is is a couple of guys who were messing around with wool garments in the mountains. Not just hunting really doing other things and bringing that technology and bringing that fabric to hunting and saying hey wools kick ass we love. We love it in september for archery hunting elk also but it can't be yellow. We're going to do that friday. That's really sort of the creation story of our company in its very much centered in in this place and where we are as a company not agree and a mean even though we're kind of out in a bigger city in the desert as far as what really is our main facility It's within three hours of ceo shop. Which i consider that. Put you within a day or weekends drive. We have such a multitude of different terrains. From you know. I mean dennis. He hunts high desert terrain A lot i hunt you know usually up close to timberline The bulk of time And i don't really have that much intention of going to hunt the desert unless desert bighorn sheep or a bird hunting Likewise we can go to moa them four wheel or go over. Numerous mountain passes alpine lakes and rock. Climb do so many different activities. It's quite startling. The value in the is. There's so many different types of terrain we contest in relatively quickly. Yeah yeah i would agree. I'm and i would just argue yet. It is difficult but again you know. I can't see seek outside being born and i'm about to piss more people but you know frankly seek outside or i like it just wouldn't have been born in stanford connecticut in newark new jersey right. I mean no offense places they probably offer many other things. But it's i think it's critical to be irrelevant environment as outdoor recreation company. I don't think. I don't think we've ever seen the need for a hot tint that would bend from mississippi. Yeah you know You know we would have ended up putting her creative creativity more towards swamps and by us and alligator hunting or something you know It would have been totally different. Don't some guy. Mississippi screaming reynolds like i had colorado over year. This is this is the this is two brands. Get together to piss everyone off on social media. We've we've ticked off the orix hunters. We've ticked off the wolf. People who've took off the various different brands and the white tail. The dog writers no And now we're going to took off people in the mid west and south as well. Anyone else we can throw in Yeah no. I think. It's relevant. And i i think maybe bringing this around. That's why specter Our new camera pattern for four white till awning was developed largely in wisconsin and know was arrested across the eastern united states And especially in the in the heartland so to speak in the mid west. Greg lives in wisconsin Fulltime he does he. He does come through the the. Hq his team is. His team is based in the mid west. I think that rips off the same theme to put together a pattern indicating you to put out relevant whitetail product you need to be way tells are worth eastern tells specifically and bring service And that to write to so the the other element so to speak up. Specter's launches the launch of an initiative. Were calling cammo for and basically as we discussed conservation corps to our brand. It's corridor ethos. And we would i constantly as the conservation. Managers striving for is. How do we integrate conservation. Every of our business right. How do we make. How do we expand that he fos across everything we do and and you know that's a that's a dream goal were always chasing and i'm not saying we do that currently but this idea actually was ryan callahan's long ago and had sort of been floating around in our collective minds for a while but here we saw was factored opportunity. Really try this out and say okay. This is a whitetail hunting pattern Let's go out and let's find you know the conservation group. That does the best work when it comes to protecting our white telling heritage when it comes to management of white tailed deer advocacy on on their behalf. Excetera pair that together. And so what has come out of it. Is this game for conservation. Initiative and what that looks like is a is a percentage of sales from every specter garment. We sell will be transferred to the national association. Formerly the quality management association which is a great group of guys and gals that i've kind of grown up with and am honored to sort of now work with on a day to day basis and in a far closer capacity so basically you know a chunk of every sale new pattern is gone right to them. we don't know the specifics of what will come out because the much we're gonna sell but based on our company based on sales based on what we've ordered its it'll be a substantial chunk of cash and i think sort of a commitment to that world into conservation level that we haven't We had previously been to that makes sense. I'm really excited for for that. Integration conservation into this into this part of our business in dispatchers launch basically agree that sounds. That sounds really good. how did you guys go Evaluating because that's a little bit different than us right like we were very into conservation. We are involved in two percent for conservation. dj We are involved with a lot of other Smaller groups the wilderness society. We also put some effort In terms of being present. I guess you would say for different organizations as well which i think is quite important but we don't really like we. We stick primarily to the public land and public land species and while we do sell to people in the east the midwest Texas the south all that. So i'm sorry for being insensitive. And if i made anyone mad Because it really wasn't our intention but we also have to have a little bit of fun as well If we can't have fun on the podcast them why not do it. But but for us we ended up much more in the public land elk. Mule deer Things you find on public land conservation row. Where with you guys. It's okay to go more towards that eastern white tail part because you guys play that fence the you play you guys play in that that realm as well. Yeah absolutely i mean. Obviously you know we've been making whitetail deer actually since twenty fifteen um and white tells really almost always been our roots or certainly idaho. There are richer in western hunting. But you know frankly very soon we started bringing in. Actually i suppose i was the first eastern that first light hired And as we've grown pride in folks. They grew up whitetail hunting in north carolina. They grew up whitetail hunting wisconsin michigan etc. Ride main and so that's really become part of our dna and it's also reflected in like i said in our product offerings and so i think it was only natural to sort of bring that world into our sort of impact are the impact element of our business model and what that is is Largely looking at it like is our is our work with the national deer association and their work in regard to Managing white tails advocating for till hunters. their substantial field to four hundred recruiting program You know as well as educating around.

How Brad Marchand Transformed Himself After 'The Lick'

"So florida. This was a pretty memorable moment for hockey for those who not remember it. Or don't know about it. Could you just explain the lick ryan callahan. The tampa bay forward at a collision with brad marchand in the playoffs and as layers. Do they come together. And they're talking and discussing fat cat. They're the right of your screen. And then all of a sudden sticks out his tongue and right up under ryan's knows across the lower part of his face are shed up to his usual antics eight of spite boston. This wasn't just like a little tongue. This was a proper lick right up from the gender. The knows there is some slobber there. Yes there is some sign. There's some spit. it was legit legit lick and martin had actually done something very similar to this just a couple weeks before. What was the reaction to these back-to-back incidents in the hockey world just shock. I think our last story. Today we turn to the age old problem of face. Licking gra generations. athletes have been involved in face licking. I don't wanna use that word but anybody who looks. Someone's face and obsessional. Sports league in my opinion is an idiot.

What what did you do to prepare yourself for this. Bigger longer season and bigger players. More speed i can turn working out lifting weights cardio combination the offseason. I work out with a trainer back in rochester and You know there's a couple of pro guys right in rochester. They're going to get a chance to skate with during the summer. So i think that helped me out with the speed Just skating with them. you know. I definitely helped me adjust a bit to you. Hang with on the team. Who do you. who's your roommate on.
