The Eric Metaxas Show
A highlight from John Zmirak
"Welcome to the Eric Metaxas Show. I shouldn't tell you this, but Eric hired someone who sounds just like him to host today's show. But since I'm the announcer, they told me, so I'm telling you, don't be fooled. The real Eric's in jail. Hey there, folks. Welcome to the program. I am Eric Metaxas Show. If you're watching this by video, you can see that I'm in Miami. Actually, no, you can't see that. You can just see that I'm in a hotel room. I'm telling you, I'm in Miami. I'm speaking tonight at the Rusty Pelican. It's oversold. It's sold out. I don't know if people just show up what's gonna happen, but in any event, all the information is on my website, ericmetaxas .com. Today's show is gonna be really different because this morning, I woke up, and on Twitter, I saw Tucker Carlson's interview with a man named Larry Sinclair. It is so astonishing that I said, we are gonna change our programming for the day. I was planning to talk to John Smirack and to Larry Taunton, who are friends and who are regulars on the program, about other things. But then I said, no, this is as big a news story as it gets. It's breaking news, and so I'll tell you now the gist of it, and then I will talk to John Smirack first and then to Larry Taunton about what we're to make of this. So Chris Himes, since you're here, and you're not familiar with what we're talking about, so you can, as I tell you this, I'm telling my audience this because most people who are listening maybe don't know about this. Not everybody's a news fan. And this was aired last night. I didn't see this last night. I just happened to see it early this morning. But here's the bottom line. Tucker Carlson mentioned a few days ago that there were credible reports, like totally credible reports that a guy named Larry Sinclair had come out in 2008 when Barack Obama first began to run for the presidency. And Larry Sinclair said that nine years earlier, he had smoked crack and had sexual relations with Barack Obama more than once. And he couldn't believe that this man was running for president and talking about being a family man and on and on and on. And he said he should come clean on all this stuff. And so he was demonized and no one would cover this. In other words, this is one of these classic cases. And this is what I wanna talk to John Smirack and to Larry Taunton about because the interview that Tucker did with him yesterday, I guess, it aired last night and I watched it this morning, there's no doubt that this is true. In other words, you can quibble about the details, but what Larry Sinclair goes into is he basically says, I mean, he comes clean on his whole life and his lifestyle and so on and so forth, but he makes it clear that in the follow -up to this, that when he decides to go public with this, folks from the Obama campaign get in touch with him, obviously to crush this story, to say that we can't, we're gonna do everything we can to keep this out of the press because we know that Barack Obama will not be elected if any of this gets out. So they completely crushed it and crushed Larry Sinclair's ability to get this information out. And in the course of that, Larry was Sinclair in touch with somebody who was working with the Obama campaign, this was the openly gay choir director at Jeremiah Wright's church, and that he indicated that he had himself had relations with Barack Obama and it goes on and on from there. And for me, the question is always, what's the news here? What's the news? Because we live in a country now where you say, people can do what they want, but fascinates what me is how the media demonized this guy, would not cover this, was told by the Obama campaign, if you mention this, not only will you be denied access to the campaign of Barack Obama, which you want, but your whole organization, whether it's ABC News or whatever, will be denied access. So this is really, really ugly stuff. And so journalists did not cover what would have been, I mean, it's absolutely mind blowing when you watch the Tucker interview, you can judge for yourself, like, is this guy making this up? The details are just endless detail and with corroboration. And so I just was so amazed that this guy is now telling this story, now he has the opportunity to tell the story because we have free speech as far as Twitter goes or X, we have journalists like Tucker Carlson who are no longer under the Fox network where they can only report on what they're told that they can report on. So it just struck me as absolutely astonishing news. And so I wanna talk to Larry Taunton about it in hour two, I wanna talk to John Smirack about it in hour one. Chris, am I forgetting anything before we go to John Smirack? No, I don't know. What's your response? Well, I was just gonna say - What's the make of this? I don't know, I mean, I don't know at this date and time what sort of ramifications it has, what significance it'll, I just don't know, it seems like, where do things go from here is my question. Well, okay, and my answer to that is it just shows a really, really sick double standard that we no longer have journalists in America. In other words, Donald Trump, anything bad that he did, they jumped on it and magnified it times a million. Anything bad that Bill Clinton did, that Barack Obama did, the Barack Obama stuff, it's unbelievable when you hear the details that why doesn't every American know about this? Why doesn't every American know that he was a crack smoking bisexual actively during his marriage? I mean, it's one of those things that if you know it, you can process it, you can forgive it, but if you never hear about it, that's not healthy in the 21st century when every detail of everybody's lives is put forth as though the media is interested in telling the truth, except you find out that in 2008, they were interested in making sure that no one caught a whiff of any of this. And so I think for me, it just talks about, it speaks to this idea that we've all been lied to so thoroughly that it's just a wake up call for every American to say we've been lied to by people we trusted. We trusted journalists basically to cover stuff basically, maybe not exactly as we would want, but basically that they would give us the facts, but when they don't like somebody, they will crush them, they will make stuff up or they will take tiny details and magnify them and you will never hear the end of it, what Donald Trump said 11 years before he ran for president to somebody on a hot mic, they will act like he said that five minutes ago and it's the most important thing in the world. And that's all you'll hear. And when you have stuff like this coming up about Barack Obama from a few years before he was running for president, not one word. And I think it's a scandal, but it's a scandal of journalism more than it's a scandal of Barack Obama. It's an American scandal. And I think we need to talk about it. Anyway, Johnson America will be here in a minute to help us process this, but it's so sick. When you hear the details, you've got to watch it. It's just unbelievable.

What Bitcoin Did
A highlight from Is Chainalysis Prosecuting Innocent People with L0la L33tz
"This software is being used to imprison people right? It's being used for compliance reasons to censor transactions And so if this thing is inaccurate like we're just randomly pointing fingers at people, right? Like this is neither just nor democratic Hello from Australia. Hello from Down Under Finally made it here. I'm here with our boy Danny. It's great to be here. Very cool country Looking forward to getting out having some beers later, going for some food. Also looking forward to our event this Saturday Masonic Center in Sydney. There are still tickets available if you want to come it's gonna be me Danny We're gonna be joined by Nick Bartier Willy Woo Checkmate, Rusty Russell and Dan Roberts all on stage talking about Bitcoin So if you want to get a ticket head over to what Bitcoin did calm and click on WBD live Anyway, welcome to the what Bitcoin did podcast which is brought to you by the legends at Iris energy the largest NASDAQ listed Bitcoin miner Using 100 % renewable energy, I'm your host Peter McCormack and today on the show I have Lola Leets now this this interview came out of kind of nowhere really Lola posted a tweet thread up on X .com She'd written an article about chain analysis. Essentially. There is a ongoing lawsuit Whereby they had to admit there. There's no real Provable science behind their analysis and this has huge implications for certain Lawsuits where they've been using chain analysis software to track transactions on the blockchain now I won't be able to explain the details properly. That's what Lola will do in this interview But this has implications for cases like Roman Stirling off something we covered on the show So I want to thank a lot of coming on talking about this We will definitely get her back on the show in the future If you any questions about this or anything else, please do drop me an email as hello of what Bitcoin did dot -com Hi Lola, you've had quite the week I Definitely have yes I didn't have this show planned in obviously I was on Twitter the other day and I saw a tweet thread from you and I was like, huh? I've I've had Johnny from chain Alice's on my show I've got my suspicion about them. Yeah. Yeah, he was on the show a long time ago. I gave him a hard time I don't often give people a hard time. I gave him a hard time though That's interesting. I'll have to watch that. Yeah I'm not a fan of chain Alice's Not only do I not like what they do But I also think they're full of shit Yeah, that's that's a nice way to put it I think anyone that is a fan of chain Alice's may you know Have a little bit of a problem Well before we get into this Obviously anyone watching is going to see that you are green, but you're not really green in real life and You don't normally have like this toxic Background to you in more ways than one Well, what what can we tell people about you like how much can we tell them about you so they understand who I'm talking to I mean, my name is Lola. I've been in Bitcoin for quite a while. I Write about Bitcoin, that's that's what I do. And I mean, I don't think there's much more to know about me But you're a journalist I Mean, I wouldn't call myself a journalist I just like to I write opinion pieces mostly, right? So like it's debatable whether whether that is journalism or or it isn't right? Well, I would call it journalism Even if it's your opinion, you can be journalism. I think what you've done over this last Few weeks leading up to the last week is certainly journalistic It's the reason I want to talk to you today But you do also focus on privacy, right I do. Yeah, I focused on privacy mostly So I mean to give a little bit of background How I got into Bitcoin, maybe maybe that can give a little bit of context. So I got into Bitcoin Really opposite I would say of like how normal people got into Bitcoin maybe right? so there's this meme of you know, you come for the money and you stay for the revolution and For me, it was really the other way around So I had a friend who was telling me about you know This this new form of money this digital goal that has like all of these Perfect economic incentives and you know, I really couldn't care less like I'm completely disconnected from like this whole world of finance and investment But then he ended up saying something that really caught my attention and that was it's a money that can't be controlled by anyone but you and The reason that I found that interesting was because I've always been really interested in counterculture and so There's this saying in Bitcoin that like it's a tool to opt out which I think is a little bit of a sad way to put it maybe So I would rather like to say Bitcoin is a tool that allows us to build a parallel society That is potentially more fair and more just than the world that we're living in today and that's one of the reasons that that I write about the stuff that I write about because I felt like a lot of a Lot of like this viewpoint was was missing just from from the mainstream discourse and Bitcoin And so how how well do you think we've done in building this kind of parallel? Society that you want to opt into because we do have people now who live on a Bitcoin standard they travel the world When they get to a country or a city, they look to find people they can sell Bitcoin to so they have local currency We do have these nodes whether it's Berlin Bedford where I live in a small node El Salvador, Nashville There are these kind of nodes popping up whether it is like a density of Bitcoiners There are no places which will accept and take your Bitcoin Whenever you go to these places you tend to meet people who are You know, they don't have to be exactly like -minded, but you know, there's gonna be things you're gonna agree on So, how do you how far do you think we've come? I Do think that we've come pretty far with doing this I mean like just imagine that like 15 years ago is something like this would have been completely unimaginable, right? and so I do think like Despite all of the criticism there may be I do think that there's a lot of people doing these things and These parallel societies, you know already Existing in a way around the world.

Divine Naples Podcast
A highlight from #431 Matt came in the studio with an orange head and almost killed Rich. Dating a Columbian is serious business especially when she is on the east coast. Rich spent sunset with Matt 2 and Matt 1 got jealous. We have an informant from the inside and Matt called him a rat. Watch the turtles when you are walking on the beach. Idalia stole sand and we think we know where she put it. Episode #431 September 1st. 2023
"Yes it Divine again, Friday and today is September 1st, 2023, this episode is 4 .31 from this Mike Rich, from this Mike Mah, and we are in September, that's how easy it was, well it's it's also September 1st and it's small Saturday, oh small Saturday yes yes yes, that's two times in a row that you've missed it, oh yeah, two weeks in a row, no no I would bring it up, third week is strike three you're out, I'm sorry, well but I can't really do that because I there's not a replacement for you, although I'd like to replace you, you sure, it's just not gonna happen, won't be the same show, well you know, there's a lot of things I'd like to do with you, like what, I don't know, go out trolling in an airboat out the Everglades, I'm kidding, well I love you to death man, I would never never want anything to happen to you, really, well I'm here, yeah and you're here on small Saturday, and I'm here, I almost died, you did, yeah, oh I feel bad now that I just gave, you almost killed me, a rant on how I wanted to take you out the Everglades in an airboat, well you almost killed me what, 15 minutes ago, how, I was laughing so hard that I almost died, why because I came in looking like, no I'm just wondering what is wrong with your head, is it St. Patrick's Day, have you ever seen that comedian Carrot Top, no, yeah, you'll have to look him up, he's famous, you want me to tell people, redhead comedian, well I came in as a big joke, because today I decided, because sometimes I bleach my hair, and you know, just to have a different look, and so I, different, yeah, it's different all right, and I, and you look at the box, I really, I tried to do it too quick and bought one of those boxes off the Walmart deal, and they don't have the most expensive bleach items there, so you read on the book, and they tell you the amount of time you should leave it in there, and well, you fell asleep, no I left it the amount of time, went into the, showered it out, then about 10 minutes after dried it, came out a little more orange than I wanted, in fact it came out orange, and I didn't want any orange, I think if somebody look at you, they know which party, political party you're going for, yeah, but it's not like orange, it's not like the whole, the whole head isn't orange, I mean actually if we wanted to, we could make a Irish flag out of my head, I just, because I got white on the sides, yeah, and then there's the top, in the middle there is orange, if we just went and got some green dye and did like a mohawk strip in there, we'd have all the colors of an Irish flag, I can roll with that, you just look like a guy who's standing in the rain waiting for the bus and get rusty, that'd be an awful long time, buddy, if somebody asks you what the hell is wrong with your hair, just say this is a primer, actually some people liked it or whatever, it's not like really carrot topish, and like I'm like some kind of redhead or whatever, but it's noticeable, let's just say that, and so this whole experiment, it's not like my first rodeo, dude, I've done this before, so I got to go make a trip to Sally's Beauty today, because I had to get the professional coloring, so that after we do this podcast, I'm gonna go home and fix it, oh my god, let me just explain what happened, so man walks in, and it's dark in the hallway, so I open the door, and then he comes to me making coffee, and I burst and laugh, I almost end up on the floor, laughing for what, 10 minutes, oh yeah, I couldn't get you to stop, I thought I was gonna have to call, you know, EMTs, yeah, because his head is completely orange, yeah, it's not, come on, that's how I see it, I know, I am so happy that he prolonged my life for 15 years now, just like, thank you, well, you know, they say that laughter is medicine to the bones, yeah, well, my bones are fine, except that you were laughing so hard, they're rattling, you may want to go get a check, he's taking the dating so serious, he's going over a complete overhaul, no, I mean, I was gonna do that, whether I was going over to South Beach to see this Colombian or not, yeah, well, it's just like, oh yeah, I mean, I don't know, she might, you know, after, you know, spending a half a day with me, it might be the, you said, only half a day I ever see her, you said you don't like hippies, so you look like one now, that's for sure, oh yeah, yeah, that's so awesome, I took a picture, I'm gonna save that picture for the rest of my life, you need to, every time I'm gonna have to be down, like, mentally, this is what I need to see, that's gonna lift me from any type of dirt, yeah, ah, thank you, that was really nice, you're welcome, we have, we have Matt here with the primer on his head, you're painting cars, so he painted first rusty, so you know what he's painting over, I mean, that's a great idea, you just say, hey, I'm gonna color my head, so I want to know, I don't want to miss any place, no, or I could just be a walking billboard, for Rust -Oleum, just so awesome, if nothing works, I could go out there and just stand on the corner with a, with a can of Rust -Oleum, that'll get rid of the, hey, look at this, and get, turn it white again, it's just, if nothing works, home people will fix it, what do you think, how would I get Rust -Oleum out of there though, would I have to use like lacquer thinner, yeah, just, like, yeah, can you imagine, that'd be worse, you think, bleach burns, no, that was burning a little, you just spray lacquer thinner, maybe when it was starting, my head was starting to burn a little an itch, I might have thought to get into the shower, you just burn it, yeah, yeah, that's what happened, last time I told you about a story, when teacher was pulling my hair in the first grade, and he said I would go home and shave my head, that's what I would, maybe, that's the time, that's what I would have done in defense of no more hair pulling, yeah, but it might be a good idea, no, I don't need to, because I just got done buying $40 worth of stuff that'll fix it, yeah, just send me a picture before you go there, so I'll give you a stamp of approval, okay, so I don't want you to get depressed, yeah, I'll just wear a beanie, maybe, I'll be the only guy in South, South Beach with a beanie, beanie's those little, you know, the only idiot in Miami, 90 degree weather, and I'm in a beanie, you know what the, the Haitian, Haitian mamas, they, they have this shower head, oh yeah, when they go to Publix for shopping, I call them Haitian mamas, yeah, big ladies, they come and they have, they're wearing this awesome, it's all right, man, I, it's not my first rodeo, I've done it before, so, I love it, some people liked it when I was in Cali, they just, you know, it didn't, it wasn't that orange, and they kind of blended, this one might have a little more red, I know, you're not, you're not going that direction, like, you know, then the, in the male's direction, but California would accept anything, right, that's probably these, anything other guy, except poop on the street, I mean, my hair's, nothing, nothing, yeah, well, let's go to officials, and that is Julian Bruce, TeraKitara Apache Music, we thank you for all the tunes, because we are so grateful for the intro song, Divine Aprils was written and produced by them for us, exclusively, we're looking forward to see you in the town very soon, they are right now having a concert and zoo in Minnesota, and then they, in the winter, that would be our season, they will be here in Botanical Garden, playing almost every night, as always they do every year, so, you can find them, TeraKitara Apache Music on Facebook, or if you like to have the CD, we have 12 different CDs they produce available for sale in our Divine Aprils Coffee and Wine Bar, right on, sponsor of this show is Divine Spa, we talk about it, the month of the Wellness Month is behind us, which was August, but that doesn't mean you should stop taking care of your body, or send some loved ones for a little massage, or flexology for treatment, and don't forget your trail mix, we talked about that yesterday, and Beach SOS, weekend's here, Friday, small Saturday, we are here, and we are ready to deliver anything from our items that are available at beachesos .com, no delivery charge, and takes us maybe 30 -45 minutes to get you and meet you at the entrance to the beach, and if you're working in the office in zip code 34102, get ready, we're going to be delivering lunches to offices for $10, yeah, delivered between $10 and $12, right to your desk, nice fresh organic salads, sandwiches, European sandwiches, and many more, just wait for us to wave the flag, we're working on it very hard, it's going to start $10 lunch, we just want to take care of our local people, I'm so happy to do that, right, why are you, why do you have to deliver to their desk, don't you think anybody down here in the zip code doesn't work at a desk, maybe they don't have desk, you're right, maybe somebody in the garage, well I mean you've kind of narrowed it to where you've got to be in a desk, I'm sorry, let me take it back, we don't deliver to the desk, we deliver under desk, and anywhere, so if you're changing oil, we're just gonna put it on your tire, yeah, that's it, just on the ground, yeah, so we're done with that, right, yeah, well I tell you what, you have a competition to do, yeah, yeah, why, somebody take, I just spent, I just spent today because we're taping it on a small Saturday, Friday, it's after 9 p .m, I just spent a beautiful sunset with nice looking fella, oh really, yeah, it's just like you, good looking, same name, right, yeah, oh wow, yeah, and really hard working and honest, really, yeah, nice, so just, just be careful, as opposed to me, yeah, well, exactly right, just be careful, you're not the only one here, okay, yeah, you better step up your game, I will, yeah, because he's single too, by the way, okay, right, maybe we can collaborate together and go to, you know, check out some, some places together, this is Matt and Matt, you made your choice, yeah, you choose, you want Matt or Matt, well I have a new intel for you, okay, about the situation on the beach, so first of all, there's a reason why some of our beaches are closed, right, I cannot tell you which, you know, which person gave it to me and, you know, but we have intel from the first hand, right, and in other words, we have a rat, I'm sure he's gonna appreciate that, I'm kidding, no, they have to be careful, let's call it more politically correct informant, right, and here's the deal, is that they have jobs and need to keep them, and I'm just joking about that, you know, they know what's in the know, and I think that the public generally has a right to have that knowledge, I mean, this isn't like we're setting up some kind of missile defense, no, it's public knowledge, but I just never got to it, because we are busy with other things, so we, they, they drug a lot of sand to the beach, they want to, you know, restore the beaches, we paid x amount of money, and they wanted to make it nice and pretty for the season, guess what, this hurricane came and the sand is gone again, oh yeah, it's back in the water, unbelievable, yeah, so that's what we're dealing with, now the beach entrances, they're all the damage that was, and I'll give you a list of the beaches that are closed, because there's not many that is left as a shutdown, but I want to ask public, if anybody listening to this, which I hope there are, there is people, and we know there are, please do not climb over the fences, because we can get, first of all, hurt, and we just had a situation when somebody got hurt, and EMS was called, because they were climbing over the fence on the beach, which says no trespassing, right, like, you know, why would you do that, that's kind of evident, big fence, yeah, signs that say don't go on beach, that means climb over, right, yeah, or, or it means that somebody wasn't using common sense, which is the theme of this week, and will be the theme of this show, fraternity, yeah, exactly right, common sense, because we have it, coming together as a community, right, using common sense, did I, let's look, let's be clear, so don't climb over the fence, because we just had person hurt themselves, EMS was called, so big show about that, and very important thing that people don't understand, and I didn't know that either, because that's also a lot to do with the closures of the beaches, is we had a lot of turtle nests, and that's why people, and we are asking them, you know, don't put lights on, on your houses, so if you like, if you're the luckiest person that have a beach house, then we're gonna ask you turn off your lights, or dim them on the evening, so you know, we don't have even more turtles getting lost on the shore, but 29, let me repeat this, 29 out of 32 nests, turtle nests, are gone, oh wow, or at least they're still trying to locate if there's anything, from that last hurricane, yeah, those, you know, the wooden spokes that they marked them with, they're all gone, so they now trying to find out if there's any eggs left, and if they found them, they put them, and they take them into a place that helps them to patch the turtles, yeah, and I didn't even know that, this is very interesting fact, that turtles always comes in the same place, yeah, it's kind of like salmon on the west coast, it's almost like you, you come always here, I can make as much as I can, you'll be back, you take the abuse, and you always come back, because we have free coffee and cookies, right, yeah, so that's, that's the same, so technically you're a turtle, you know what I'm saying, yeah, yeah, why not, yeah, you're also orange, no, at least from the head, you know, from the top of my head, yeah, I don't want to know more, so there's all those things that now they're dealing with, and you know, it's kind of sad, but also it's good to know that there are people here in the city, and especially employees of the city, they work hard, and for that reason, in Diva Naples and Coffee and Wine Bar, we made the promise from beginning of, before we, and if we can go and listen through our podcast, you're gonna hear our voices saying it, three, four years ago, we always said, anybody in uniform that shows up, and we always treat them for free, right, because we know they go above and beyond, and I'm just so appreciative that we have a lot of people working here that, that make this city safe, clean, yeah, and the way it is, because it could easily turn into Miami, and we would have this party and everything else, but you know, it's just thanks to those people working in certain departments, you know, that's why we don't have mess on the street, that we don't have crime, the police department, so yeah, we really appreciate, appreciate, you know, that every department do their part, and you know, we just want to make them feel like they are appreciated, so that's one of the things, and let me just tell you about the closure of the beach, so North Lake Drive is closed, 2nd, 3rd Street South, 10th, 14th, 16th, 18th, and 33rd Street South, they're all, or actually avenues, I'll take it back, they're all shut down, you can park your car there, but don't so there's not, it's not banded, you cannot park, you can park, make sure you pay for parking, because they'll still give you the 250, they are very active, and you know, for the obvious reasons, and you know, this just, we have parking around the city free, so let's just say those things that you want to pay for, that's the only way, you know, we, you know, keep the streets clean, and so on and so forth, so 32nd Avenue South just been opened, and that's a good news for our residents, because a lot of the local people go there, they fish, they, you know, chill, because it's far away from pier, and we just enjoy those entrances, so just that's another very good news, swimming advisory is lifted, so now we had little situation there, there was some bacteria in the water due to hurricane, but that's all gone, so we are clear, we have the clearance, we're good, we're good to go, right, yeah, you get everything you say to that, no, just that you can go down the beach now, and dip your toes in the water, so why you don't do that, I got my, my little wading pool at home, my baby pool, yeah, yeah, how that works for you, I'm all good with it, yeah, and sandwich with that, yeah, I have sandwiches once in a while, all right, good, okay, well just checking, which is still on the same schedule, same on, same program, fantastic, so now we have new segment, and this what, well, it's, we know what Tim Atten doesn't know, but I got it, I got a better way to say it, and it's, we know everything, that the guy who knows everything, doesn't know, there you go, did you follow the logic, yeah, I mean, it sounds like making fun of the the gentleman, the name Tim Atten, oh, it sure does, yeah, why sound like that, I don't know, because maybe you are, no, we're not making fun, no, we're just at play, we're making him famous, yeah, yeah, exactly, yeah, he should thank us for making him recognize even more, once they start listening to this podcast all the time, and it starts blowing up on Facebook, it'll be, you know, we're, we're, he's technically our colleague, he doesn't really respond too much to us, yeah, I mean, he's too busy writing articles, maybe some people aren't reading, yeah, we are not, we are not good in writing, so that's why we talk a lot, that's right, yeah, exactly, although we, we proclaim I'm a wordsmith, yes, you are, depends on the mood that we're in, so let me bring some news, what's going on around the town, because that's why Divine Naples Podcast is, we want to let you know what's going on, we want to bring you stories of our business people, so if you have somebody who want to share stories, if you have something interesting, events or anything like that, you can send us email info at divinenapels .com, or you can hit us on any social media under handle Divine Naples, and I just wanna, I did some research and digging, and there's so much we're gonna cover today and tomorrow, because we're in September, so we are preparing for season, season's coming, and there's a lot of going on, one thing that I'm not particularly happy is what's going on in Everglades, did you know that Everglades City, 100 year old building is coming down? Really? Yeah.

Patrick's Day, have you ever seen that comedian Carrot Top, no, yeah, you'll have to look him up, he's famous, you want me to tell people, redhead comedian, well I came in as a big joke, because today I decided, because sometimes I bleach my hair, and you know, just to have a different look, and so I, different, yeah, it's different all right, and I, and you look at the box, I really, I tried to do it too quick and bought one of those boxes off the Walmart deal, and they don't have the most expensive bleach items there, so you read on the book, and they tell you the amount of time you should leave it in there, and well, you fell asleep, no I left it the amount of time, went into the, showered it out, then about 10 minutes after dried it, came out a little more orange than I wanted, in fact it came out orange, and I didn't want any orange, I think if somebody look at you, they know which party, political party you're going for, yeah, but it's not like orange, it's not like the whole, the whole head isn't orange, I mean actually if we wanted to, we could make a Irish flag out of my head, I just, because I got white on the sides, yeah, and then there's the top, in the middle there is orange, if we just went and got some green dye and did like a mohawk strip in there, we'd have all the colors of an Irish flag, I can roll with that, you just look like a guy who's standing in the rain waiting for the bus and get rusty, that'd be an awful long time, buddy, if somebody asks you what the hell is wrong with your hair, just say this is a primer, actually some people liked it or whatever, it's not like really carrot topish, and like I'm like some kind of redhead or whatever, but it's noticeable, let's just say that, and so this whole experiment, it's not like my first rodeo, dude, I've done this before, so I got to go make a trip to Sally's Beauty today, because I had to get the professional coloring, so that after we do this podcast, I'm gonna go home and fix it, oh my god, let me just explain what happened, so man walks in, and it's dark in the hallway, so I open the door, and then he comes to me making coffee, and I burst and laugh, I almost end up on the floor, laughing for what, 10 minutes, oh yeah, I couldn't get you to stop, I thought I was gonna have to call, you know, EMTs, yeah, because his head is completely orange, yeah, it's not, come on, that's how I see it, I know, I am so happy that he prolonged my life for 15 years now, just like, thank you, well, you know, they say that laughter is medicine to the bones, yeah, well, my bones are fine, except that you were laughing so hard, they're rattling, you may want to go get a check, he's taking the dating so serious, he's going over a complete overhaul, no, I mean, I was gonna do that, whether I was going over to South Beach to see this Colombian or not, yeah, well, it's just like, oh yeah, I mean, I don't know, she might, you know, after, you know, spending a half a day with me, it might be the, you said, only half a day I ever see her, you said you don't like hippies, so you look like one now, that's for sure, oh yeah, yeah, that's so awesome, I took a picture, I'm gonna save that picture for the rest of my life, you need to, every time I'm gonna have to be down, like, mentally, this is what I need to see, that's gonna lift me from any type of dirt, yeah, ah, thank you, that was really nice, you're welcome, we have, we have Matt here with the primer on his head, you're painting cars, so he painted first rusty, so you know what he's painting over, I mean, that's a great idea, you just say, hey, I'm gonna color my head, so I want to know, I don't want to miss any place, no, or I could just be a walking billboard, for Rust -Oleum, just so awesome, if nothing works, I could go out there and just stand on the corner with a, with a can of Rust -Oleum, that'll get rid of the, hey, look at this, and get, turn it white again, it's just, if nothing works, home people will fix it, what do you think, how would I get Rust -Oleum out of there though, would I have to use like lacquer thinner, yeah, just, like, yeah, can you imagine, that'd be worse, you think, bleach burns, no, that was burning a little, you just spray lacquer thinner, maybe when it was starting, my head was starting to burn a little an itch, I might have thought to get into the shower, you just burn it, yeah, yeah, that's what happened, last time I told you about a story, when teacher was pulling my hair in the first grade, and he said I would go home and shave my head, that's what I would, maybe, that's the time, that's what I would have done in defense of no more hair pulling, yeah, but it might be a good idea, no, I don't need to, because I just got done buying $40 worth of stuff that'll fix it, yeah, just send me a picture before you go there, so I'll give you a stamp of approval, okay, so I don't want you to get depressed, yeah, I'll just wear a beanie, maybe, I'll be the only guy in South, South Beach with a beanie, beanie's those little, you know, the only idiot in Miami, 90 degree weather, and I'm in a beanie, you know what the, the Haitian, Haitian mamas, they, they have this shower head, oh yeah, when they go to Publix for shopping, I call them Haitian mamas, yeah, big ladies, they come and they have, they're wearing this awesome, it's all right, man, I, it's not my first rodeo, I've done it before, so, I love it, some people liked it when I was in Cali, they just, you know, it didn't, it wasn't that orange, and they kind of blended, this one might have a little more red, I know, you're not, you're not going that direction, like, you know, then the, in the male's direction, but California would accept anything, right, that's probably these, anything other guy, except poop on the street, I mean, my hair's, nothing, nothing, yeah, well, let's go to officials, and that is Julian Bruce, TeraKitara Apache Music, we thank you for all the tunes, because we are so grateful for the intro song, Divine Aprils was written and produced by them for us, exclusively, we're looking forward to see you in the town very soon, they are right now having a concert and zoo in Minnesota, and then they, in the winter, that would be our season, they will be here in Botanical Garden, playing almost every night, as always they do every year, so, you can find them, TeraKitara Apache Music on Facebook, or if you like to have the CD, we have 12 different CDs they produce available for sale in our Divine Aprils Coffee and Wine Bar, right on, sponsor of this show is Divine Spa, we talk about it, the month of the Wellness Month is behind us, which was August, but that doesn't mean you should stop taking care of your body, or send some loved ones for a little massage, or flexology for treatment, and don't forget your trail mix, we talked about that yesterday, and Beach SOS, weekend's here, Friday, small Saturday, we are here, and we are ready to deliver anything from our items that are available at beachesos .com, no delivery charge, and takes us maybe 30 -45 minutes to get you and meet you at the entrance to the beach, and if you're working in the office in zip code 34102, get ready, we're going to be delivering lunches to offices for $10, yeah, delivered between $10 and $12, right to your desk, nice fresh organic salads, sandwiches, European sandwiches, and many more, just wait for us to wave the flag, we're working on it very hard, it's going to start $10 lunch, we just want to take care of our local people, I'm so happy to do that, right, why are you, why do you have to deliver to their desk, don't you think anybody down here in the zip code doesn't work at a desk, maybe they don't have desk, you're right, maybe somebody in the garage, well I mean you've kind of narrowed it to where you've got to be in a desk, I'm sorry, let me take it back, we don't deliver to the desk, we deliver under desk, and anywhere, so if you're changing oil, we're just gonna put it on your tire, yeah, that's it, just on the ground, yeah, so we're done with that, right, yeah, well I tell you what, you have a competition to do, yeah, yeah, why, somebody take, I just spent, I just spent today because we're taping it on a small Saturday, Friday, it's after 9 p .m, I just spent a beautiful sunset with nice looking fella, oh really, yeah, it's just like you, good looking, same name, right, yeah, oh wow, yeah, and really hard working and honest, really, yeah, nice, so just, just be careful, as opposed to me, yeah, well, exactly right, just be careful, you're not the only one here, okay, yeah, you better step up your game, I will, yeah, because he's single too, by the way, okay, right, maybe we can collaborate together and go to, you know, check out some, some places together, this is Matt and Matt, you made your choice, yeah, you choose, you want Matt or Matt, well I have a new intel for you, okay, about the situation on the beach, so first of all, there's a reason why some of our beaches are closed, right, I cannot tell you which, you know, which person gave it to me and, you know, but we have intel from the first hand, right, and in other words, we have a rat, I'm sure he's gonna appreciate that, I'm kidding, no, they have to be careful, let's call it more politically correct informant, right, and here's the deal, is that they have jobs and need to keep them, and I'm just joking about that, you know, they know what's in the know, and I think that the public generally has a right to have that knowledge, I mean, this isn't like we're setting up some kind of missile defense, no, it's public knowledge, but I just never got to it, because we are busy with other things, so we, they, they drug a lot of sand to the beach, they want to, you know, restore the beaches, we paid x amount of money, and they wanted to make it nice and pretty for the season, guess what, this hurricane came and the sand is gone again, oh yeah, it's back in the water, unbelievable, yeah, so that's what we're dealing with, now the beach entrances, they're all the damage that was, and I'll give you a list of the beaches that are closed, because there's not many that is left as a shutdown, but I want to ask public, if anybody listening to this, which I hope there are, there is people, and we know there are, please do not climb over the fences, because we can get, first of all, hurt, and we just had a situation when somebody got hurt, and EMS was called, because they were climbing over the fence on the beach, which says no trespassing, right, like, you know, why would you do that, that's kind of evident, big fence, yeah, signs that say don't go on beach, that means climb over, right, yeah, or, or it means that somebody wasn't using common sense, which is the theme of this week, and will be the theme of this show, fraternity, yeah, exactly right, common sense, because we have it, coming together as a community, right, using common sense, did I, let's look, let's be clear, so don't climb over the fence, because we just had person hurt themselves, EMS was called, so big show about that, and very important thing that people don't understand, and I didn't know that either, because that's also a lot to do with the closures of the beaches, is we had a lot of turtle nests, and that's why people, and we are asking them, you know, don't put lights on, on your houses, so if you like, if you're the luckiest person that have a beach house, then we're gonna ask you turn off your lights, or dim them on the evening, so you know, we don't have even more turtles getting lost on the shore, but 29, let me repeat this, 29 out of 32 nests, turtle nests, are gone, oh wow, or at least they're still trying to locate if there's anything, from that last hurricane, yeah, those, you know, the wooden spokes that they marked them with, they're all gone, so they now trying to find out if there's any eggs left, and if they found them, they put them, and they take them into a place that helps them to patch the turtles, yeah, and I didn't even know that, this is very interesting fact, that turtles always comes in the same place, yeah, it's kind of like salmon on the west coast, it's almost like you, you come always here, I can make as much as I can, you'll be back, you take the abuse, and you always come back, because we have free coffee and cookies, right, yeah, so that's, that's the same, so technically you're a turtle, you know what I'm saying, yeah, yeah, why not, yeah, you're also orange, no, at least from the head, you know, from the top of my head, yeah, I don't want to know more, so there's all those things that now they're dealing with, and you know, it's kind of sad, but also it's good to know that there are people here in the city, and especially employees of the city, they work hard, and for that reason, in Diva Naples and Coffee and Wine Bar, we made the promise from beginning of, before we, and if we can go and listen through our podcast, you're gonna hear our voices saying it, three, four years ago, we always said, anybody in uniform that shows up, and we always treat them for free, right, because we know they go above and beyond, and I'm just so appreciative that we have a lot of people working here that, that make this city safe, clean, yeah, and the way it is, because it could easily turn into Miami, and we would have this party and everything else, but you know, it's just thanks to those people working in certain departments, you know, that's why we don't have mess on the street, that we don't have crime, the police department, so yeah, we really appreciate, appreciate, you know, that every department do their part, and you know, we just want to make them feel like they are appreciated, so that's one of the things, and let me just tell you about the closure of the beach, so North Lake Drive is closed, 2nd, 3rd Street South, 10th, 14th, 16th, 18th, and 33rd Street South, they're all, or actually avenues, I'll take it back, they're all shut down, you can park your car there, but don't so there's not, it's not banded, you cannot park, you can park, make sure you pay for parking, because they'll still give you the 250, they are very active, and you know, for the obvious reasons, and you know, this just, we have parking around the city free, so let's just say those things that you want to pay for, that's the only way, you know, we, you know, keep the streets clean, and so on and so forth, so 32nd Avenue South just been opened, and that's a good news for our residents, because a lot of the local people go there, they fish, they, you know, chill, because it's far away from pier, and we just enjoy those entrances, so just that's another very good news, swimming advisory is lifted, so now we had little situation there, there was some bacteria in the water due to hurricane, but that's all gone, so we are clear, we have the clearance, we're good, we're good to go, right, yeah, you get everything you say to that, no, just that you can go down the beach now, and dip your toes in the water, so why you don't do that, I got my, my little wading pool at home, my baby pool, yeah, yeah, how that works for you, I'm all good with it, yeah, and sandwich with that, yeah, I have sandwiches once in a while, all right, good, okay, well just checking, which is still on the same schedule, same on, same program, fantastic, so now we have new segment, and this what, well, it's, we know what Tim Atten doesn't know, but I got it, I got a better way to say it, and it's, we know everything, that the guy who knows everything, doesn't know, there you go, did you follow the logic, yeah, I mean, it sounds like making fun of the the gentleman, the name Tim Atten, oh, it sure does, yeah, why sound like that, I don't know, because maybe you are, no, we're not making fun, no, we're just at play, we're making him famous, yeah, yeah, exactly, yeah, he should thank us for making him recognize even more, once they start listening to this podcast all the time, and it starts blowing up on Facebook, it'll be, you know, we're, we're, he's technically our colleague, he doesn't really respond too much to us, yeah, I mean, he's too busy writing articles, maybe some people aren't reading, yeah, we are not, we are not good in writing, so that's why we talk a lot, that's right, yeah, exactly, although we, we proclaim I'm a wordsmith, yes, you are, depends on the mood that we're in, so let me bring some news, what's going on around the town, because that's why Divine Naples Podcast is, we want to let you know what's A highlight from How Money Broke with Lyn Alden (2/3)
"The amount of games and shenanigans and corruption that goes on in all these different currencies from the big ones and especially the smaller ones, it's remarkable. And it's largely a technological limitation that got us to this point. Hello, how are you all doing? Pretty good. You enjoyed that last episode with Lyn, she absolutely smashed it. And we've got another one for you today. All right, welcome to the What Bitcoin Did podcast, which is brought to you by the legends at Iris Energy, the largest NASDAQ listed Bitcoin miner using 100 % renewable energy. I'm your host Peter McCormack. And as I said, we have Lyn Alden back on the show. Okay, unless you're living under a rock, you might have noticed that Lyn released her book recently, Broken Money, and we were very lucky. We got an advance copy, me and Danny talked about making a show with Lyn, but we couldn't make one show, there was too much to wrap into a show. So we've made a three part series. So if you haven't checked out part one, please go back, check that out. That's about the emergence of money. Today I've got part two for you. So we break down how money got broken, how they broke the money, right, this series smashed it. Part three will be out on Monday. Also, final note, I am going to be heading out to Australia on Monday, I'll be heading out for an event. It's eight days away. It's at the Masonic Centre in Sydney. We've got Nick Bartier, Willy Woo checkmate, Rusty Russell and Dan Roberts. If you're in Australia, we do have a few tickets left. If you want to come, please head over to whatbitcoindid .com and click on WBD live. All right, any questions about this or anything else, please do drop me an email, it's hello whatbitcoindid .com.

A highlight from The Emergence of Money with Lyn Alden
"Commodity money is like nature's ledger. Bank money is basically a ledger governed by nation states. And then open source money like Bitcoin is money governed by the users. Hello there. How are you all doing? Our boys, Rael Bedford, won last night. It's our third game in the league. We've had two wins in a draw, so a pretty good start to the season. Anyway, welcome to the What Bitcoin Did podcast, which is brought to you by the Legends of Iris Energy, the largest NASDAQ listed Bitcoin miner using 100 % renewable energy. I'm your host Peter McCormack, and today I've got the first part in a three -part series with the amazing Lynn Alden. I know you're going to love this. Now, as you all well know, Lynn just recently dropped her book Broken Money, and we were lucky enough to get an advance copy and sit down and make a bunch of shows about it with her. So we originally planned to make one show, but we knew that it wouldn't work. So Danny pitched it to Lynn. He said, look, let's make this a three parter. Let's get into three parts, the past, the present, the future of money. And so in this one, the first one, we discussed the emergence of money and why gold won until the era of fiat currency. Okay. You know, Lynn, you know how incredible she is. And with this whole series in this book, she was as good as you had expected. Honestly, we probably could have made a 20 -part series covering everything in this book. So whilst you might enjoy this show we made with her, please also do support Lynn. Please do go out and buy a copy of the book. And quickly, before we get into the show, you Aussie Bitcoiners out there, it's just over a week to go. I'm going to be heading out to Sydney, to Australia for my first time. And on September the 9th, we have our live event. It's Nick Barty at Woolly Woo, Checkmate, Rusty Russell, and Dan Roberts, all on stage with me and Danny. And it's going to be a banger. So if you want to get yourself a ticket, head over to what Bitcoin did .com and click on WBD live. Outside of that, anything else? You got any feedback? Got any questions about the show? You can drop me an email. It's hello at what Bitcoin did .com.

The Bitboy Crypto Podcast
A highlight from MAJOR Announcement! (Bitcoin & Crypto Market Update)
"Hello. Yesterday BJ Investment Holdings, the parent company of Hit Network, took decisive legal action in removing Ben Armstrong from the company, and specifically the BitBoy Crypto brand. This is a difficult decision, is a culmination of a prolonged effort to help Ben during his relapse into substance abuse, as well as reconcile the emotional, physical, and financial damage he has done to the employees of Hit Network and the BitBoy Crypto community. The BitSquad deserves better, and we're going to get through this together. We wish him the best and regret that it has come to this and are hopeful for the future of BitBoy Crypto. Hit Network is committed to empowering creators, and we will continue to do that every day. Thank you. Thanks, TJ. So, guys, this is a different day, and it's a very serious time right now, but it's shocking for everyone, including myself. But want I you to know that if you're here for some Ben bashing, you're going to be disappointed. This isn't that channel, okay? Now is the time for unity, for the BitSquad. We're here for the BitSquad. We've got a lot more to learn. We've got a lot more bear market to get through. So what this show is going to do every day, just like it always has done, is empower you to make the right decisions, give you the best crypto information. Be a little funny at the same time. So we appreciate all of you sticking around. We appreciate Chad going absolutely bonkers right now. We love the BitSquad. We're here for y 'all all the time. We're not going anywhere. This is a time of change, but we appreciate all of you staying positive, supporting us, and supporting Ben through this time. And we're going to get into the show, and it's going to be me and Deezy for a little bit. Deezy's going to rerun the show. We're going to talk about some crypto. Who wants to talk about some crypto this morning? That's what we're here for. We're here to talk about crypto. Meanwhile, there's a whole ecosystem of life happening. It's called Bitcoin. It's called XRP. It's called Cardano. Chad, you're going crazy, so I might not have the chance to read every single message. I left my speed reading books at home, so I'm a little rusty. Alright, let's talk about Bitcoin. Where's Bitcoin at? Bitcoin is flat. It is going nowhere, folks. Looks like we're still coming in just $26 ,140. I was watching some Gareth and Ben Cowen earlier. Guys, they're making me sober, giving out some predictions. Both are saying, look, it looks like we're going to go to $23. Maybe if there's a bullish case scenario, we go up to $28 before we retrace. But guys, still maybe a retracement on the horizon. It's so flat. Yeah, they got a little show together, them two. We have Ethereum. Ethereum is down 0 .3%. XRP is moving a little bit, but guys, we're still above $0 .51. We're coming in almost at $0 .52, down 1 .5%. Keep going after that, though. The markets are largely flat, so we want to see something exciting. And Bitcoin cash moving 2 .4 % really isn't moving the needle for me. But we do have curve now. It is up 5 .5%.

What Bitcoin Did
A highlight from How Central Banks Broke Money with Matthew Meinskis
"It's the good people that are suffering. The bad people are never going to comply with you anyway. So you're not accomplishing anything. I do think Bitcoin will help to change that. Happy bank holiday from the UK. Yes, it's one of those days in the year where we give a holiday to the banks for their tireless hard work. All the great things they do for us for protecting our money, telling us where we can spend it so we don't waste it, maybe lending it out when we don't want them to, they work so hard for us. So we give them a holiday. We give them lots of holidays, but Bitcoin doesn't have a holiday, does it? No, we're still here. We're still going 24 -7 -3 -6 -5, so welcome to the What Bitcoin Did podcast, which is brought to you by the legends at Iris Energy, the largest NASDAQ listed Bitcoin miner using 100 % renewable energy. I'm your host, Peter McCormack, and ironically today on this bank holiday, I have Matthew Mazinci back on the show to talk about central banking. He is the king of base money, a regular on our show, and I always enjoy catching up with him. And here in his take on exactly what is going on right now in the economy. Now today, Matthew gives us a rundown on the nitty gritty details of how central banks are unleashing more and more money into the economy and lets us know what we can expect or when we can expect a $1 million Bitcoin. Now, in the show, I do talk quite a bit about a Joe Rogan show he made with Dave Smith. Please do go and check it out. And if you want a timestamp for where I think it gets super interesting, it's about one hour and 10 minutes in. I actually messaged Stefan Lever about that because he tirelessly puts up with my questions about Austrian economics and libertarian ideas. And so I had some questions following that show, but it's a great show. I talk about it a lot in there. And following that, I'm actually now listening to End the Fed by Ron Paul. Fascinating book. So I know you're going to enjoy this one. Any questions about this or anything else, you know you can hit me up. It's HelloWhatBitcoinDid .com. Also, we're getting closer. Aussie Bitcoiners. We're heading to Sydney September the 9th. We have our live event. We have Nick Bartier, Willy Woo, Checkmate, Rusty Russell, Dan Roberts, all on stage with Danny and I. It's going to be a banger. Can't wait to get to Australia. It's going to be my first trip. Now, if you want to come get yourself a ticket, head over to WhatBitcoinDid .com and click on WBD Live.

"The model we have now, which is corrupt and a bit evil, that'll probably still exist. It's just you have a choice as a user to not use that model. Hello from Ibiza. How are you all? I'm taking a well -needed break. I think a well -deserved break. It's my first holiday in about a year. I was just trying to think through all the stuff we've done in the last year. This is up to 150 podcasts. We've made three documentaries. We have won a league and cup double with a football team. Bought a bar. It's been super busy. Just worked so hard over the last year. So, yes, I'm having a well -needed, I think deserved break out in Ibiza with the kids. But still, we're still working. We're still getting shows out for you. And we're still planning events. We're planning – oh, I forgot events. I think we've had like five events as well. And we have got an event in Australia. We're taking our first trip to Australia soon. So we've got an event in Sydney with Nick Bartier, Willy Woo, Checkmate, Rusty Russell and Dan Robbers all on stage. It's going to be a banger. If you want to join us in Sydney on September the 9th, please head over to whatbitcoindid .com. Click on WBD Live and get yourself a ticket. Anyway, I'm going to get down to the polls. So firstly, welcome to the What Bitcoin Did podcast, which is brought to you by the legends at Iris Energy, the largest NASDAQ listed Bitcoin miner using 100 % renewable energy. I'm your host, Peter McCormack. And today I've got not just one of my favorite Bitcoiners, but one of my favorite humans in the world back on the show, the legend that is Ben Ark. OK, so this one on this show, we get back into Noster. And the first time I heard about Noster was with Ben over 18 months ago. And, you know, at the time I was kind of like, yeah, that's cool. Sounds like another nerd toy. But I was very wrong and it's taken me some time to try and understand why people are so bullish on Noster. But I get it now. So, yeah, I asked Ben to come back on the show and we got into it. So I hope you enjoy this. I do love Ben. I think he's an amazing human. If you've got any questions about this or anything else, do drop me an email. It's hello at whatbitcoindid .com.

A highlight from The Debanking of Nigel Farage
"If the desire of the big institutions to basically prevent a flight of money into Bitcoin, what on earth do people do? Hello there from Ibiza, how are you all? I'm having a rare holiday. It's the first time I've been away in a year and it's been a crazy year, so busy, so much happening in football, podcasts, documentaries, but I needed a break. So I'm here for a few days having some well -needed time off with the kids. I'll be back home next Friday for a week and then off on a massive trip. Off to Latvia for Honey Badger, then I'm off to Australia for the first time, got our WBD event there. By the way, if you want a ticket for that, we've got Nick Bartier, Willy Woo, Checkmate, Rusty Russell, and Dan Roberts all on stage. If you want a ticket, just head over to whatbitcoindid .com and click on WBD Live. And then I'm off to Lebanon to make another film. It's going to be a busy, busy September. Anyway, welcome to the What Bitcoin Did podcast, which is brought to you by the legends at Iris Energy, the largest NASDAQ listed Bitcoin miner using 100 % renewable energy. I'm your host, Peter McCormack. Today, I've got a massive interview. I've got Nigel Farage on the show, and for anyone British, Nigel needs no introduction. But for some of my American listeners, you might not know him. He has been a controversial and polarizing politician here in the UK. He was one of the main people spearheading the exit from the European Union known as Brexit. So yes, a polarizing figure, but he is also a Bitcoiner. I interviewed him last year at Bitcoin Amsterdam, and he's been through an experience which I think has probably made him more of a hardened Bitcoiner. So if you haven't followed the story, he recently had his bank accounts closed down for what he believes were political reasons. So I asked him to come on the show and tell his story and see if it has solidified his views on Bitcoin. And listen, I know not everyone likes Nigel. When I posted the image up on Twitter after the interview, there were some mixed responses. But listen, whether you like Nigel Farage or not, anyone having their bank account removed for political reasons, we know is not a good thing. So listen, I look forward to your feedback. You know you can drop me an email about this or anything else. It's hello at whatbitcoindid .com.

What Bitcoin Did
A highlight from The Breakdown of Trust with Doomberg
"One of the things that held up the US dollar hegemony was the state of our institutions and the quality of our financial markets and the rule of law and the level of corruption and criminality that is on blatant display in Washington DC is appalling. And once you lose your ethical framework as a society, what do you have? Good morning from a very happy Bedford and a very happy chairman of the football team that just won their first FA Cup game. We're through to the next preliminary round of the FA Cup against MK Irish on Saturday, which was amazing. Also very cool. We had two Australian Bitcoiners, What Bitcoin Did, listeners who'd come into the country. They made the pilgrimage to Bedford and came and watched the game, which was amazing. Speaking of which, we're making the pilgrimage the other way round. September the 9th, Danny and I are going to be in Australia. We've got a WBD Live in Sydney with Nick Bartier, Willy Woo, Checkmate, Rusty Russell, and Dan Roberts all on stage. It's going to be a banger. If you're in Australia and you want to come out, you want to hang out, you want to come and see a live What Bitcoin Did, go and get yourself a ticket. It's whatbitcoindid .com and click on WBD Live. Anyway, welcome to the What Bitcoin Did podcast, which is brought to you by the legends at Iris Energy, the largest Nasdaq listed Bitcoin miner using 100 % renewable energy. I'm your host, Peter McCormack, and today I've got everyone's favorite giant green chicken back on the show, the amazing Doonberg. Now, Doonberg's becoming a regular on the show now. I can find his analysis of almost anything, any weird stuff that's going on in the world, anything related to, you know, recently we've got superconductors, we've got aliens, we've got economic crisis. I find he is a good person to go to and talk to about this. Now, originally when we did book this, we did plan to talk about superconductors, but before we actually started recording, it came out that LK99 wasn't in fact a superconductor. So we talked about this and we talked about how they analyze this and how they came to their thoughts. But then we moved on to a broad range of subjects from cancer cure medicine to the BRICS currencies and everything Elon Musk is doing with X and why Doonberg has gone lurker mode on X, formally Twitter. And I couldn't let him leave without asking him about Bitcoin as well. Of course, I had to after his $5 ,000 call last time. Anyway, listen, I know you're going to love this one. I absolutely love talking to Doonberg. But you got any questions about this or anything else, please hit me up. It's HelloWhatBitcoinDid .com. Big green chicken. Good to see you. It's good to see you, Peter. How have you been? Yeah, really good. Really good. Yeah, just busy traveling a lot. Been out to Argentina since I spoke to you last. And I'm not sure if you saw the results that came in last night from their primaries. Yes, indeed. Making the big news. I might even ask you about that later on. Loads of weird stuff's been happening since we last spoke. Yes, indeed. Well, the good news is that the news flow means that we'll never have a shortage of things for us to talk about. No, I thought we were going to talk about superconductors. I definitely recently read your piece on the cancer -curing pill. And we've also had the US congressional hearings on aliens, among some of the things. So just your standard news flow for COVID world. Indeed, indeed. Where would you like to begin? I know the information has changed. But let's talk a little bit about the superconductor thing. Because the internet was feverish with excitement about the potential of the discovery of a superconductor. It turns out that it wasn't. What happened here? Were we hoodwinked? Were we tricked? Specifically, what was claimed was the development of a room temperature superconductor. Of course, if you cool down certain materials to low enough temperature, they do superconductive already display behavior. The discovery of such a behavior that could operate at room temperature, or in this case, they claim that they were able to observe superconducting activity at temperatures above the boiling port of water. That would truly be a world -changing discovery on par with fission and perhaps the development of semiconductors. And it is a holy grail. And that phrase is overused, of course. But the advent of such material would truly qualify for one of those. When we first saw the piece that was published, we were very skeptical of it. We wrote our own analysis of it in the days afterwards at the peak of the excitement, really, called Conducting Diligence. And over the years, we have used a five -question framework analyzing for such discoveries. And we applied it, introduced it, and applied it here. As background, when I was an executive in the corporate world, I led very large technology groups. And many CEOs get most of their science advance information in the Wall Street Journal or the Financial Times. And so it was very, very common for whoever my CEO was at the time to forward such things to me and demand my instant analysis of it. And oftentimes, I had to talk such people out of reorienting investment dollars to chase down the latest hype cycle. And so over those decades, really, we developed this framework that allowed us to systematically write five paragraphs to our executive overlords and to explain to them most of the times why such an advance was worth watching, but perhaps not worth acting on yet. Occasionally, one does pass that screen. And in this case, we use those five questions and concluded by saying that we're deeply, deeply skeptical. Happy to dive into the details as to why. But I do think that piece that we wrote has stood the test of time quite well. Yeah, before we dive in, can you explain why a superconductor would be such a game changer, though? There's the superficial reasons that the media likes to write about, which is, oh, you can imagine transmitting massive amounts of electricity with no loss and reorienting the entirety of our electricity grid. But in reality, in our view, it would be how a room temperature superconductor could facilitate advances in otherwise unrelated fields. And then the second and third order effects of those would be truly a game changer. In particular, collective computing, for example, would stand to benefit greatly from an advance in room temperature superconducting. And that field, of course, has had its own hype cycle. But quantum computing, a true advance in room temperature superconductors, for example, we believe could put the world of computing back on pace of exponential growth. If you squint at the log curves of the rate of computing advances, it seems to have slowed down a little bit in the past few years. Of course, we're still making massive advances. But it's the second and third order impacts from the other technologies that would be enabled by such an advance that we think would ultimately transform society. And look, all manner of sensitive electronic applications, a quantum computing advance would jeopardize encryption, for example. And there's just countless other ways that a step change like this would be very, very useful. And as we said in the piece, vast riches and a quick ticket to Stockholm to collect a Nobel Prize await those who succeed in demonstrating the phenomenon. And many serious physicists doubt that such an advance is even possible. So when you see such an enormous claim like this, it is irresistible that the hype wouldn't proceed in the way that it did. It's totally understandable. But at the same time, we had serious, serious doubts from the very beginning for the reasons that we wrote in that piece. Okay, so can you break down why you were skeptical in your piece? Yeah, so we asked five questions and I'll just list them carefully. They're simple questions. And the good thing about this approach is it doesn't require all that much in the way of specific expertise in the underlying area. And I should say up front, this is not something that I personally have a deep level of practical knowledge in the nuances of the science, but it's not needed in this case. So the five questions are, who's involved? Where was it published? Where are we in the scientific process? What is the scientific context? And then what should we expect next? And if you go through each of those questions, the first one, as with most human endeavors, the reputation and pedigree of the people involved matters. As we said in the piece, if Google and MIT announce a computing advance, you probably would be safe to bet that they have the goods. But if your neighbor tugs on your sleeve at a party and whispers quietly about an invention he's been working on in his garage for years that's sure to change the world, you'd probably be justified in having a healthy degree of skepticism here. The researchers involved have very good pedigree. The team is based in Korea, but they also collaborate with a relatively well -known physics professor at the College of William and Mary, and they seem to be trained in the field. And most importantly, one of the main inventors said they would be willing to support anyone trying to replicate the work, and we took that as a good sign. Things get a little sketchier when you consider where it was published, which is the second question. And here, these results were not published in a peer -reviewed journal of any pedigree. They were self -published as preprints on the internet, two of them, actually, one with three authors and the other with six. And the barrier to publishing a preprint is zero. You and I, Peter, could publish a preprint making claims to this very same website and generate a hype cycle of our own. That's not to say that the work was bad, but in our view, if this had passed peer review at a reputable journal, it would have lent more credibility to the claims. Unfortunately, this is not the world that we live in, and these preprints were hyped. And one of the reasons why this matters is because, as I believe, ultimately the story will dictate the misinterpretation of the data that this looks like is what happened. This would have been caught in that peer review process and would never have made the hype cycle, which is the third question. Where are we in the scientific process since it's unpublished? And basically, nobody would consider these results to be validated until independent researchers reproduce the work in their own laboratories. And one of the reasons why it's important to publish your paper in a journal and pass peer review is because a key job of editors at such journals is to ensure authors provide sufficient, specific details that allow others to confirm the work. And the good news with this is, as we pointed out in the piece, the compounds used were pretty simple and the synthetic procedures were rudimentary, which actually gave us even more pause because typically giant leaps of science don't usually arise from what we call kitchen chemistry, such as this. But on the other hand, the fact that it was so straightforward meant that others would very quickly be able to test whether the results were real. And then the fourth question is the scientific context. And here, we've had example after example of such claims falling flat, data being retracted. Sometimes it's fraud. Most often, it is misunderstanding of the phenomenon. And so, especially, you know, the equivalent would be claims of battery breakthroughs. You know, we've written another piece on this as well. There's certain fields where the prize is so high that the weaknesses of the scientific method as practice in the modern era are really on display. And the pursuit of a room temperature superconductor would be one of those. And then the last question is what should we expect next, which is exactly what has transpired. A bunch of people tried to reproduce it. Nobody has been able to do so. It appears as though experts have studied the preprints and their own experimental work and have come up with explanation an alternative for the phenomenon that was witnessed. And as we said in our verdict, nobody would be more thrilled to see these results validated than us. But we found ourselves deeply skeptical. The last point I would say is the leap was too far, the method is too simple, and the process too premature to get excited. And I think that was a good view at the time. So is their project dead or are they still working on it? Well, the problem with making such a hyperbolic claim is that it becomes difficult for people to continue to pursue the work. And there's really not that much to pursue here if the reinterpretation of the data is as the scientific community seems to be coalescing on. Because it's just not that interesting of a discovery. And so, you know, back to the drawing board. We were going to write a follow -up piece called What If. It's one of these pieces that was sort of written in my head that never saw the light of day because by the time we would have gotten it published it would have seemed a bit silly. But if this had been true, even if it was a small component or a minor byproduct, the state of industrial heterogeneous synthesis using high throughput techniques is such that the big companies would have obliterated this experimental map across all dimensions. Concentration, oxygen, temperature ramp, you name it. They would have done thousands and thousands and thousands of experiments. They would have found the exact molecule that worked. And that it can work itself is a gigantic discovery. And so if one can work, it would have taken weeks for the industry to isolate an entire family of these things, then the theory would have caught up to it very quickly. And there would have been something about these things that teaches theory something interesting, which then would very quickly inform the synthetic chemists as to how to optimize and create. It would have been, you know, like how the first person to break the four -minute mile and suddenly everybody does it. That this would have been one of those situations where raw the power of the high throughput synthesis discovery workflows in the big multi -deca billion -dollar chemical companies would have made short work of this, would have optimized it very quickly. There would have been no barriers to, no meaningful barriers to commercialization because materials involved were so simple and so widely available that cooking them in a certain unique way is of no challenge whatsoever to the industry. So if there was even a possibility that this had once worked, that would have been game -changing, but it doesn't look that way, unfortunately. What is the general state of scientific research and peer reviews? Because there was a period, certainly post -COVID, where this has been hotly debated and the trust the science mean was spreading quite regularly with people just having vast doubts about peer -review studies and the peer -review process. What have you looked at into that, or is that just... Oh, there's a huge ongoing retraction scandal in the scientific world, and as we said in the piece, you know, peer review on its own doesn't mean that this is fundamentally accurate science. It still needs to be reproduced in other labs for it to really go from an observation to, say, an accepted theory or accepted experimental set of results. But the state of modern science is poor right now, and it's because it is performed by humans who are susceptible to the hype cycle, the need for funding.

A highlight from Will Blackrock Be Bitcoin's Suddenly Moment? With Parker Lewis
"The end game of all of these currencies is hyperinflation, the dollar, the euro, the yen, every yuan, the ruble, all of them. But I think that when one of those currencies that's run by more of a developed nation, that that's when everyone is forced to adopt Bitcoin because it's the only thing that works. Happy Monday. How are you all doing? Did you have a good weekend? What did you do? I obviously had a whole weekend of football. The men drew with Cottfosters away, and the ladies had the start of their season with a massive 4 -1 win at home against Stevenage, a very good team, so that is very cool. Before we get into today's show, I do want to tell you a little bit about our live show that's coming up in Sydney on September the 9th. We have Nick Bartier, Willy Woo, Checkmate, Rusty Russell and Dan Roberts all on stage. It's our first trip to Australia. So if you want to join us, please do head over to whatbitcoindid .com and click on WBD Live. Anyway, welcome to the What Bitcoin Did podcast, which is brought to you by the legends at Iris Energy, the largest NASDAQ listed Bitcoin miner using 100 % renewable energy. I'm your host, Peter McCormack, and today I have my good friend Parker Lewis back on the show. Now listen, Parker has been on the podcast a few times, and most of the time we've been covering his Gradually Then Suddenly series, a brilliant series of essays that he's written, which if you haven't checked out, where have you been, please do go and check them out. But when we were on Austin, we decided to get Parker in and talk about the idea that maybe something like a BlackRock ETF could be the trigger for the suddenly he has written about. So Parker is absolutely great in this. He's always great. You know that. You know Parker. He absolutely crushes it. And yeah, you got any questions about this, you know what to do. You can drop me an email. It's hello at whatbitcoindid .com. Enjoy the show.

A highlight from Money Printing & the Debt Spiral with Macro Alf
"This direct connection that mainstream economics wants to draw between the amount of bank reserves in the system and lending stimulating the economy doesn't exist. Right. Hello. How are you? OK. All right. I'm actually away. I'm away on holiday with my kids. So if you hear any weird noises in the background, it's either them or it might be a rhino, it might be a giraffe. But forgot I to take my mic with me. So I'm recording this intro on my phone. Sorry, Danny. Anyway, welcome to What Bitcoin Did podcast, which is brought to you by the legends of Iris Energy, the largest NASDAQ listed Bitcoin miner, using 100 % renewable energy. I'm your host, Peter McCormack. And today we have Macro Alf on the show. Now, this is a show we've been trying to make for some time. And we've been trying to get to see Macro Alf in person. Because of a few things that have happened, we've actually had to record a few shows remotely over August. It may need scheduling due to filming. And so because of that, we're like, well, who are the ones we've been trying to get? Who are we going to allow to do remotely? And yes, Macro Alf is one of them. And yeah, absolutely love this one. If you've listened to my previous shows with Jeff Snyder and then Alden, you know, there's a bit of a debate about money printing. So we get into this with Macro Alf and he explains these complex topics in easy to understand ways. So yes, we get into money creation, we get into US credit rating and whether we are in a debt spiral. It's an absolute banger. I know you're going to love it. Also, Australians, my Aussie friends out there, September the 9th in the Masonic Center, Nick Bartier, Willy Woo, Checkmate, Rusty Russell, Dan Roberts, all there. You want to get tickets? Head over to WhatBitcoinDid .com and click on WBD Live. OK, enjoy the show. Any feedback? Give me a shout. It's hello at WhatBitcoinDid .com.

A highlight from What Does Bitcoin Fix? With American HODL
"The slave system that we live in today, the fiat system, what it does is it extracts wealth from the future, from the unborn. And then we're anticipating that technology or deflation is going to solve this problem that we created by stealing from the future, but it's a catch -22, because if no one builds the future, then there's not going to be a beautiful future for them to inherit. And all they're going to inherit is death. Hello there. Happy Monday. I hope you all had a great weekend, right? Just a reminder, we've announced the lineup for our live show in Sydney on September the 9th. WBD Live is heading to Australia and we have a stellar lineup. We've got Nick Bartier, Willy Woo Checkmate, Rusty Russell and Dan Roberts all on stage. It's going to be a banger. And if you're in Australia, if you want to come and hang out, tickets available at whatbitcoindid .com, just click on WBD Live. Anyway, welcome to the What Bitcoin Did podcast, which is brought to you by the legends at I'm your host, Peter McCormack, and today we have my good buddy, American Hodl, back on the show. Now, back in June, Hodl tweeted about the voice versus exit concept that Balaji made popular a few years ago, and how while the exit has become more popular as an idea for Bitcoiners, he prefers to stay. He wants to stay and have the fight. So whilst we get into this, it is a wide range of conversation. We're getting into a whole bunch of stuff, Bitcoin citadels, hyperbitcoinization, and what does Bitcoin really fix? And also, listen, I just want to talk about football quickly, because I know some of you, you're like, Pete, stop talking about football. I hate it. But I have to say, listen, don't think of it as a football project. Think of it as a Bitcoin project. And also, just remember, for every one of you who doesn't like it, I get loads of emails from people saying they love it, and they want me to talk about that. Now, we will try and get the balance right. I don't want to scare you off with too much football. But just think of it as a Bitcoin project, because that's what it is. All right. Anyway, listen, I love talking to Hodl, and I hope you enjoy this one too. If you've got any questions or feedback, you can hit me up. It's hello at what Bitcoin did dot com.

A highlight from Bitcoin vs CBDCs with Marty Bent
"Bitcoin as a tool, in terms of the leverage it gives you against violence, is probably the most high leverage tool that we've had against a massive state actor in history. Hello, how are you all? Happy Friday. Who doesn't love a Friday? I hope you've got a great weekend planned ahead. Right before we get into the show, we have announced the lineup for our live show, our WBD Live in Sydney, Australia, on September the 9th, my first trip to Australia. I cannot wait. OK, it's going to be at the Masonic Centre, and we have Nick Bartier, Willy Woo, Checkmate, Rusty Russell, and Dan Roberts all on stage. It is going to slam. It's going to be a banger. If you are in Australia and you want to come, tickets are available on whatbitcoindid .com. Just click on WBD Live. It'll be a night of beer, Bitcoin, probably some football chat. Yeah, I hope to see some of you there. Anyway, welcome to the What Bitcoin Did podcast, which is brought to you by the legends Iris Energy, the largest NASDAQ listed Bitcoin miner using 100 % renewable energy. I'm your host, Peter McCormack, and today we have Marty Bent back on the podcast. Now Marty was on a couple of shows ago with Grant where we talked about investing in Bitcoin, but we also wanted to get Marty back on himself. He wrote this amazing email, and it's bent about CBDCs. So we get into that. We get into BlackRock. We get into mining in the US. We get into a whole bunch of other Bitcoin topics. And listen, if you haven't signed up to Marty's email, the Bent is going to sign up every day. He delivers without fail a new email, a new subject. Also go check out his podcast, TFTC, and rabbit hole recap that he does with Matt Odell. Marty is a legend of Bitcoin. Anyway, we cover a lot in this one. I hope you enjoyed. If you've got any questions about this, anything else, please do get in touch. You can email me on hello at whatbitcoindid .com.

America First with Sebastian Gorka Podcast
Paul Kengor and Sebastian Discuss the Latest Out of Ukraine
"Paul, you mentioned the war in Ukraine. The latest piece you sent me from the spectator has to do with the saber rattling, the rusty saber rattling of Vladimir Putin Putin's nuclear itch concerning some very, very disturbing statements he has made. Talk to us about this former KGB kernel and what's happened in the last year with regard to the Kremlin and their master plan for domination in Eastern Europe. Well, he's increasingly been talking about nuclear weapons. And I've noticed this going back almost a year now. So his invasion of the Ukraine is now about, I guess, maybe 13, 14 months old. So I followed his nuclear rhetoric, very carefully. It's very disturbing. The different things that he's been saying. And I felt all along that the more desperate that this guy gets and the more that the Russians lose on the ground in the Ukraine, which they will because the Russians always get their butts kicked in military battles. I mean, people saying all the time. Could you believe that Ukrainians are repelling the Russians? Oh, yeah. I mean, the only time the Russians ever pull anything off is thanks to the Russian winner when they're invaded. Right, Napoleon 1812, Hitler, the drop in temperature and the mud, right? Yeah, that's exactly right. And by sheer numbers, the losing 20, 30 million people in World War II. You take the U.S. and the UK combined in World War II. We lost like what? 607 100,000 combined. Multiply that by like 30 or 40 and you're getting to what the Soviets lost in World War II. It's relatively easy to win when you have no regard for human life and you've got a lot of people to just kind of throw into the minefield.

Doug Mastriano: Rising in the Pennsylvania Polls
"Was saying on the show before that I'm fascinated by national electoral politics in Pennsylvania is obviously a critical state And it was called for years pre Donald Trump It was called fool's gold You probably heard that before because Republicans would chase it and they would always lose And consultants Doug would warn them Don't pour any money in the Pennsylvania Well you know Donald Trump in 2016 changed a lot of that and I'm hoping you can change that trajectory back How is the race looking and you think you got a chance to take this light blue state and turn it red Yeah We have a great chance I'm a retired army car idea with sex From real Bill like rusty used to say right So there was a poll taken about a month ago or so heavy about 9 points behind my opponent then a poll last week has had me three points and Paul this week as we even closer and apparently there's another poll that's going to be released in a couple of days that has us even And you know how those polls work Republican are always behind even more ahead It was the same thing with Donald Trump As far as our chances to win I think there are fantastic And the media is obsession and hate and hyperbole about me I think is an endemic of the fact that they believe I'm going to win

"rusty rusty rusty" Discussed on Space Nuts
"Okay thank you rusty rusty rusty's got another question that we're going to drop in a minute but Life interesting theory. I don't think i absolutely concur with rusty's concept of law finally being here and should we take it anywhere else. All i do believe life probably Exist in abundance in the universe. I think it's just a case of a formula being right to create it. I quite my theory to the fact that Life will grab on anywhere on earth that it can sometimes in the most hostile and insane places where you'll find life and now growing in the middle of a massive concrete in a tiny little crack. You'll get something growing.
