"It sound as weird as we want. But I mean the fact is you weren't dating back then so who gives a crap everybody's legal everybody's in love and you know, that's all we like. So, all right. So you guys are on board. You're going to get married. Do you have a big church wedding? Do you do like justice of the peace thing? Do you go to Vegas and do a drive-through? What's the deal? Well, yeah, we we're she wanted to wait a year, but took up in we came up here to Utah County where I live where I'm from. Sorry. We don't live there at the time and we went ring shopping and we bought a ring and she was just insistent that I do it then she's like insist thought. Like you need to ask me right now. If you ask me right now, I would say yes, but it has to be in a way that I can tell my friends for the fraternity and it has to be a cool story and like really you're giving me like two days to do this lady, you know, so in the music business, I know a lot of people on the radio, so I call them A buddy of mine said hey, I'm going to record this thing and play the song, you know, and then play this time so we drove up to the mountain and played the song which song song and then I my voice comes over the radio and I get out of the car and she's listening to it. I'm on my knees and I tell her on the radio to open the door. I have a question for her birthday. So things went real quickly after that and so her mom took care of everything mom's like this Whirlwind of activity like she's like the Tasmanian devil, you know, just so she got us a place in Saint Georgia beautiful beautiful area in the red rocks. That was just you know, it was just it was a great. I don't remember shit. So a lot of people like, oh man, you're not going to remember any of this dude. Don't worry about it, like going to I want to just go down to the courthouse Pub. You know signed my paper she signs her as we high-five, you know, a little down low call it a day, but she wasn't having it. So we had a pretty cool wedding. It was really fun. It was it was beautiful. Like I said red rock is the coolest place on Earth and it was you perfect setting for a wedding and it was yeah, it was great man. Super great. Are you quick to have kids after that? Yeah, we hung out and you know did some stuff but yeah, we I wanted I've always wanted to be a dad like when people when their kids like I want to be a fireman I'm account of your dad That's how little I was when I realized that's what I wanted to do. So we got on that pretty quickly and we had three kids Kate Stella and Winslow all girls off pretty quickly. Like they're all they're very they're like my my family, you know within a year like year two years apart. So yeah pretty quick. What happened is parenting been like for you to somebody as you said had a dad that was a dick what things did you consciously decide that you were not going to do around your kids that you were exposed to and and I guess conversations that you were having with your wife on how you want to team parent. Well, I left that up to her because of the time I was working six days a week twelve hours a day at restaurants, you know, Texas Roadhouse and and running that show and doing all this stuff. So I took a lot of time that was kind of left to her to decide what she wanted to do and I was just there to support her for me and my dad we have a great relationship and we kind of always have besides him being complete asked when I was a kid. He still a beloved but he's an aspect and I wanted to be more positive with them. I wanted them to know I love them all the time. You know, I wanted them to know that I'm there. I'm a we're going to have fun together. We're going to do all this stuff. But I love you always no matter what and I wanted to try and be a positive influence in her life and not you know, and try and work through their problems that we have. Even the daimyo kid problems in a positive manner. That's what I took away from my my growing up and now that I'm a full-time stay-at-home dad I get to do that a lot and it's it's it's interesting. You know, you get what you ask for it. It's not Jake. To want I love hanging out with my kids, but I see them constantly now, it's really cool. How does that transition happen for you? Then if you're a six-day-a-week, eighty our restaurant guy took possession into full-time dad owed. Well, my wife is a nail technician. She does hand-painted gel nails and what that is long story short nails the last like a week. Oh, oh, yeah. I know all about it three daughters myself. So I get she's really popular on Instagram for her nails are and she's she's phenomenal. She's absolutely amazing at it. So she had this huge following on the Instagram and one day her friend comes to her with this makeup that lasts forever. But on your face never comes off and you go swimming. Well, it comes off wage. Really. I'm sure okay, but you know, it's like a whole day thing is like a 13-hour makeup. You don't have to reapply it. It's like I'll try it. So she tries it and she loves it and starts telling her friends about it, you know, her nail friends not dead. I tried they love it says like well sign up and maybe I'll get a couple of bucks. So she signs up posted on her nail stuff, which is very popular and man. He went from 0 to 700 so off she signed up and it just exploded like in here in Utah. I was like she got right there and it was a network marketing company. So she just went just blew up after a year or two of that knowing that it was probably real we I was actually going to get offered at my own restaurant. My very own I Own It restaurant Texas Roadhouse has a life partner system where you can buy your own restaurant. So I was about to have that and so it was like, how do I take this? You know, like I don't know it's life or do I just retire? You know, what do we want to do? And so we decided I just did, you know read another book and I and we were in Hawaii and I was like, let's just screw it and went back to my teenage self. You know it off. About working all the time. It's not about that. It's about the experiences that you can have in the adventures that you can have. And so I said screw it should I should I retired so I stopped and said, yeah, it's quit. So I quit so the fur past three and a half years. I've been a stay-at-home dad and that's what I do. She works. I don't so. yeah worked out pretty well, you know, so where does the barbecue come back for you then so long time ago Thursday through Mesquite Nevada, and there was a barbecue competition there and I went checked it out and it ended up being the very first episode of Pitmasters. Oh and so I was driving home going off to do that one day that would be really cool to be able to you know, I'm and take my dad's recipes and I'm going to go out and compete and I'm going to show the world, you know, my neighbors like my food. So that's kind of planted a seed in my brain but working in restaurants, you know, it's funny cuz I set off on this life of Living and you know enjoying and then I took the management role to kind of have something to fall back on and it's funny cuz my whole life changed where I was working all the time no time off, you know, just busting my butt. So I would didn't have a lot of time to practice that stuff so years go by and off when my wife actually so I cook all the time outside. I was grilling love at all. Did it all the time cooking cooking cooking but as far as competition goes I dead. One of my wife and I was able to quit I went to culinary school and when I was done she goes what do you want to do? I go want to do Barbecue Company competitively so cool. Let's do it. So that's why I did booked my next plane and took a class Brad lanager and Tim Scheer and came back and worked with those recipes a lot and took some more classes and worked with those and developed our profile and hit the hit the road and you know, I got a couple of people that wanted to help me out and just kind of rock and rolled but that was the competition side, you know that I'll happen very quickly, but I was you know, I was always interested in smoking but grilling was my thing was a gas guy, you know, but Weber and a gas, I watched Bobby Flay and he always had the gas and had the Weber, so I'm about the gas in the Weber and that's why I used to cook on so I always had my hand in it my whole life. There's never a thought I didn't But the competition world we just did it, you know.

"Food from you know that we made you know, we grew up with locally-sourced. I guess at the time. I didn't know it but to me it was amazing. So yeah, we were very cook oriented family. I I wanted to cook when I was very little I start a business when I was five six and I would make Cereal by mixing cereals together. I've had it a very nice thing I put on my door with a name made cereal. My like I said, I was a latchkey kid sort of so I would have to cook for my younger brother and sister at a really young age. So I cook a lot and my father and grandfather and uncles would smoke meat and so I would try and do a 2000 side with random stuff. Like I would see a metal box on my parent would put someone in that and a great and I'm going to smoke this and I wanted to do that so bad and that's what they would do is they would smoke dead. Um, we had rabbits and chickens and turkeys and we'd sell them to the bars would go around and sell them might so and cook them go at night people would buy him at these bars and that's often do they make a living that way but that just kind of a side gig but watching him inject and smoke and do all that stuff and was really cool. So that's the food scene I grew up on and I was into it very early age. I want to I want to go to culinary school outside right outside of school. That's what I wanted to do. My whole life. I was a student of cooking end up going to culinary school when I was forty which was you know, a few years back now, you know, so but you know, I've been reading cookbooks when I was a kid and it was my favorite kind of book to read and still is So when you are out of high school, you don't go to college you're well, I do I do an issue with a film study by drop out very quickly. How do you get in the cot? Was it like a community college or something? Okay, so I went to community college right out of high school because I was one of the worst students ever not because I was adult but I had a a lack of desire to apply myself. And also I didn't care and that's why I didn't get to go to real college wage when everybody else one after our senior year, so I had to learn how to be a student at Community College before I ended up transferring to the college that I ended up graduating from. So you get down food service jobs, you're living the life that you want to live. How does a future start to take shape for you? It doesn't man it just everything fell apart filling. The place life was kind of of an adventure something like my When I Was Eighteen till I was thirty three and everything in between was just whatever, you know drive to Vegas. Let's go do this. Let's travel here. Let's go here. Let's move to New Orleans. Let's live there for a while and kind of Bohemian looking back on it a little bit but I live downtown Salt Lake City, you know, it was it was a fun little time to live in Salt Lake and had a bunny music scene. It was really cool played a mute. Like I said played Matt bands and lived that life for a long time and it was it was fun and then I met my wife and and I've always wanted to be a dad and settle down that was always the goal. But you know, I wasn't like out there searching for it, you know, and we grew up in Utah and it's predominantly more money and you you were Eighteen with five kids already. So it was different, you know for someone like me to I want to do that. Yeah. I didn't grow up Mormon. I grew up in an extremely Mormon town. We were maybe Man, we were one of ten families. Maybe they weren't Mormon at least out that way. So, you know not living that life was you know in Salt Lake goes a little bit easier was it like Darryl said that, you know, the other families were warning their kids about people like you Oh, I you go to a friend's house. And then you weren't allowed back. You know why sometimes it can tell you what my mom says that you're going to teach me about the devil and I'm like, oh, all right wage. I mean stuff. He's probably right. But yeah, I'm not going to go crazy about it kid know. But yeah, it was like that absolute like that, you know is the typical, you know seen the movies of like you're walking down the street in the mom grabs your kid moves across the street, you know, like don't I didn't help that. I was wearing makeup as a boy as a teenager. But yeah, that was a I was a weird kid man. I'm telling you. What time are you looking back? So let's break here. "I wasn't having them. I was on the pink hair and you were on the radio, but I was I was an outcast kid. I was the you know, I was the kid from the John Hughes movie, you know, I'm a bit more kind of like Derek, you know, punk rock music pink hair, you know more just crazy stuff to school all the time had a punk rock band, you know, whatever just lived life just do whatever song. To do and I failed out of school. I was actually kicked out of school because I've tried to yeah, so we were goofballs. We did as much as we could to kind of tries to school but there was one didn't kick me out for this reason, but I know this is why but during they have, you know, the schools elect presidents and whatever stuff and they kind of have like a school colors like ours were purple and white cells the purple team and the white team. Yeah party. I mean we had the black party and we tried to elect serial killers to school. So we post Flyers everywhere of like, you know, elect Ted Bundy Ted Bundy all these people and we keep on putting them up and I had a friend of mine who was in the newspaper and she actually put some things down for people to vote and we actually got down 2% of the vote the black party got 2% of the vote and no one knew who it was no one can prove it but the principal had an idea and so he was basically a searching for reasons to kick me out of school. And then he just found it and that loophole and booted me which was awesome. Cuz you know Albert, let's go to high school. You're eighteen and full of life. Were you were you a senior at that point would not get invited not to come back. Yeah. Yeah and then being grades. He's just like well you might as well just leave and you're not going to graduate anyway, and I'm like whatever by so but yeah his son ended up telling me the real reason why well a year later both the real reason because I tried to elect serial killer. Oh, of course that's outraged do U GE up or are you a straight up drop up after school? I read a book called on the road by Jack Kerouac and actually funny enough. I had three very close friends died in three different ways and at that same time. It was really transitional time in my life, and I didn't want to go to school. I didn't want a traditional job. I wanted to Just live life, you know and do my thing and I was I was a I was a dishwasher at the time at a restaurant and I was having I read restaurant jobs. And so what I did is I basically stuck in restaurants because I had the freedom to do whatever I wanted to do. I can make good money and then travel or I can get good money and play and play music which I was into at the time and I just wanted to live life. I just wanted to you know, cuz you know when you lose friends like that at a young age, it's kind of traumatic and I didn't want to you know, I just kind of it putting things in perspective for me. How are these friends testing away? My good friend Sean died of a brain aneurysm one night. He went sleeping on the couch and never woke up. My friend Shannon died of a heroin overdose and my friend Dave shot himself with a shotgun in his bathtub within a few years of each other reading that book. This is a very transcending time. So it's just like, you know, I'm not going to you know, I'm not going to you know this that's just it kind of think that life is short man. You don't got a lot of time to do stuff. If you look at it, you know, we don't have a lot of time here. We don't have a lot of things to do, you know if he can if we want to but we choose not to and that was kind of my Creed growing up is I just wanted to you know, I wanted to get as much as I could done in the time that I was given, you know, so very odd. What's what's the movie Ferris Bueller, you know status. Are there the guy with the brain aneurysm that's something that you don't see coming obviously, but the other two guys like the one that died of a heroin overdose was he into drugs or was that something new? So I mean did you anticipate that all you know, that's the guy that's going to die of a heroin overdose kind of a thing. Yeah, we knew it. What about the black guy that shot himself with a gun was he a depressed individual was he also on drugs? He was depression at the time was wasn't serious. It wasn't taken. Seriously. This is the early nineties still not home. It's not and it was worse than and he would run around and complain. I'm going to kill myself and this and this and he had all these problems and he was man he was shouted from the rooftops and we're just like, oh Dave's just, you know, being a big boy back in for attaching exactly and we no one took him seriously and when he did it it was looking back now. It was a huge shock and it shouldn't have been you know, cuz he was he was managing might as well. Just rent it on the wall every everywhere he went, you know, so looking back on that. Now you kind of regret it that you could have done something especially cuz you called me that day and I didn't want to answer cuz it frankly didn't want it to talk to him here and cry about whatever it was and should have probably the time he needed to cry the most do you think about that at all other than just like talking about it right now does suck haunt you in any way it used to it did for a really long time again, it kind of translated itself into You know the perspex the perspective, you know, like why are we here? What what's the purpose am I going to go to college and get a degree and work my ass off and never do anything with it, you know and that's how it would that's how it would kind of manifest itself. I don't think about it anymore. I don't doesn't bother me any more. I sometimes will go down cuz I have some people, you know family and stuff. We're Davis and I'll stop by and stuff comes up and it's it's different again it translates to a perspective. You know, I've done a lot in that time and all those tragedies have helped Elevate me to where I am, and I'm really happy with where I am. So it's all stuff that building blocks in your life. You know, it worked out sadly when you're growing up what kind of a food song are you at at home and and experiencing around you that maybe starts the building blocks to where you end up here with barbecue. Well, when I grew up we grew up everyone was a farmer. My grandparents were farmers. They own very large Farms my grandpa my grandpa raised Piedmont cattle grass-fed, which was weird at the time and my other grandfather just had a normal, you know cows and pigs and stuff like that so dinner there and and my mom and dad wanted me to you know, work and feel that way make some of my Summers were spent there working with them on the farms and eating the food was amazing, you know, you would eat the food from the garden you'd eat the food from the the the cows, you know that they're in my mom and dad would buy it from them and we grew up really, you know, eating that kind of stuff my mom. She cooked really well. My dad was a really good cook. They cooked of people through like goulash, you know, all that stuff whatever we put together tacos, but you could have a couple days dude. Yeah when that friggin stock pot set up. All right. Yep. I'm not eating good lunch in the next few days. Yeah, so we grew up in that kind of environment where we have good cook surrounding us. It was.

"All right, good evening. And welcome to the really big barbecues that to a child. They all that talk about all things important the world to barbecue and Grilling but you knew them and move and it's for Tuesday in the month. And that means we're wrapping up the origin stories tonight promises to be perhaps way longer than two hours are Christmas coming up in just a few seconds Rusty Monson leads the second hour. And when we're done with Rusty we will get in with Doug shining John Solberg is off the seasoning, but don't worry. We will catch up with him. We just wish him and his family. Well, I'm thinking about you and I'll leave us that without any further Ado. We re still the hotline and bring back friend of the show and barbecue sauce will show guest Hall of Famer Derek Richard Seder. Hey Greg, how you doing? I'm fine and man. I'm excited to have you as we get ready to wrap up the month of origin stories. I didn't necessarily plan it like this but thought why don't we go through and get the whole kit and caboodle of these regular guests and if it proves to be something that's interesting. Maybe I'll start tracking down some of the other barbecue luminaries and doing these bonus content type things. So we'll close out the month strong with you here in the first hour or so. We'll get in the first handful of minutes here on a break and then we'll get into the two longer interview segments as normal. So talk to us right from the beginning Derek. When were you born and where were you born? I was born a long time ago joined the club longer every year right? Actually, my birthday was Saturday really happy birthday. All right off 1966. All right, I was born on the outskirts of Salt Lake City, Utah. So you were a Utah born-and-bred pretty much. Yeah. Yeah. I think we go back about four generations. They're so same place or like within the same region or did you move up and down the state? That I move around. I mean like the family of four generations not not far now they did not for not people that went anywhere. All right. Nice. I think my you know, I don't think oh, yeah, I mean, it's like my dad died probably five miles from where he was born. Really? Yeah. Wow. All right, they're not Travelers I get that. So what family life like growing up for you before the high school years, you know those formative years of a young Derek riches ankle-biter dining room. grew up kind of like Then in a little house, it was like right on the edge of the Wasatch mountains about a fifteen-minute walk. You be at a Trailhead so you can just you know, take off go hiking so off of my kids might childhood was spent, you know in the mountains and traveling, you know around there fishing hiking hunting, you know from when I gave birth day is most of my birthday's as a kid were spent at Deer Hunt. I mean, right so, you know that was kind of instead of that. Is that a different life growing up? I mean, I certainly wasn't near any big city as I was growing up for what I can recollect Saratoga Springs New York. So Upstate New York, certainly I was around month but no real ass mountains like you were around. Yeah. Those are held right? So is it something that as you talk to people and get to know them they have similar life? Variances growing up in that kind of an area or you more the exception to the rule. I don't you know, I mean, that's the people that you know, I grew up with that was Elvis. There was a big thing. It's like, you know, they just always they literally I mean like the opening day of deer hunt was an actual holiday. I mean, it's not an official one, but everything was closed off and and the schools were closed cuz no one would be there. So, you know that horses are really big part of of just your your life home and you know, everybody had campers and RVs and Tents and stuff and you know people would clear out on the weekends, you know as a kid, it was kind of weird in you know, particularly around, you know in the summer and stuff. I mean if you're a home on a Saturday and you went to the store there was nobody there. You know versus now it's just like, you know always packed on the weekends right is everybody cleared out, you know, there was more congestion Friday nights getting out of town. Then there was, you know during rush hour from you know, it was just kind of the way it was back then it's changed. It's changed a lot over my lifetime cuz just you know, the whole area became much more urbanized and you know people just don't do that sort of thing, I guess anymore. Were you from a house Derek where your parents stayed together, but you were growing up. Yeah, my parents were both divorced before they married each other. Wow, so I have a different that's a job certainly wasn't commonplace, you know back then if they were both divorced and then you know married. I mean that's not something that you heard about a lot back then. Yeah. I was kind of an exception. I mean I I grew up in the not Mormon kid in a very Mormon neighborhood and state. Yeah. Yeah. No, it was worse than other places. But you know, I was I had a very odd family. I mean I was always say that I have I mean, I have two and half siblings and I actually have two brothers named Mike really so so, you know, it's so was the dynamic one of a blended family coming in like a dog Parents had kids respectively.

I don't like to encourage anybody to go Walmart for any reason other than if you're a loon wage and you like to view other loons, but they do have a lot of Smithfield products there. So have at it. All right. We continue on with the BBQ Central show guest Hall of Fame nominations and we go to our newest correspondent from the great city of Utah Rusty Monson Thursday. Go ahead with your list. It is the greatest City. I best out of the same way that John did is I had to base it off of the shows I've listened to and I've been into the show for about a year and I've downloaded and listened to a million or the episodes what all can and kind of ran together, you know, and I didn't have a lot of time to like, you know go through it all but that's it. My favorite episodes. We're actually two of my friends. So Susie Bullock who I don't even believe was on anyone's list. That's appalling and lynnae Oxley Loop who John talked about who is awesome. I'm gonna make notes gray was twice and Lanae. Twice. Okay continue and then I'm a big Andy husband's fan. So I really liked his episode. Yes. And so I had to put him on cuz I learned a lot from him. I like him. I think Don and Don hey, Don Doug and John should be on their way over there on that early embedded correspondents that stop running my shelf. Just do what you're told me off line. But North funny is I would get a kick out of two people on the show all the time and one is your daughter Bobbie. That chick is hilarious like.

We did have technology that allowed me to have a screener being John Solberg, of course, the show's main fan. But not having a screener, not knowing who I'm going to and folding that a guest. That's a lot of moving parts that could really blow up in my face, and I'm not usually that eager to shit. Can an interview over just to mix in a call? Not. Usually. I could do it. "John Doug and rusty are back. So. Let's tackle this last month. Russ you weren't part of this but. I know you're a big fan of the show. So you probably had your own thoughts We talked about the American royal. We talked about the current state of where we're at in the country and the corona virus and all this other stuff. And Medicine may cancel than the week after that. The Jack Daniels canceled. There's been plenty of other barbecue competitions that have canceled as we've rolled along here through the weeks and I've been waiting and waiting for the American, royal to do the same thing however, they continue to maintain that they will try and make this event come off time. During the weekend that I can't remember right off the top of my head. So we went around the day last month and said percentage of chance that this is going to happen hundred percent chance that it will or zero percent chance that it will or some places in between. So we will revisit Doug you are up I. Is there a zero percent chance that the American royal happen or a hundred percent chance at the American Royal Hap-? If, you recall last time. I. Was Ninety, five and five. The five percent was for the five hall of fame. inductees. Yes. I am now I spoke to someone no names. please. A conversation with someone high up in KCBS, and it sounds like I'm going fifty fifty. Now. Realize Wa Siam based on this? Conversation. Okay. and. The rumor has is is that in maybe you know something more but arrested batum yet. They're not going to allow a public or the buzzards to come in, and it's going to be team only, and they're going to try to control the the number of people in attending do that, and maybe it's a money grab, but that's just me. John Solberg zero percent chance or one, hundred percent. Chance of the American royal is happening. It's zero, it's not happening in. That, happening and calling the gaffer visitors at a barbecue contest, buzzard is a fence. Get off. Their you know, are they going to turn down? The seventy thousand gated missions that happens the weekend of the barbecue contest alone, not to mention its two months of festivals and activities that surround the right. It's not forget. It's a little tiny thing. They're gonNA, wait very the window, their cancellation insurance because that's what they have to do I. Say it will not happen I will bet this war deposits the you're saying one, hundred, percent, one, hundred percent is one hundred percent. Yes. It's going to happen. We were hundred. It wasn't happening this week or zero, it's not happening. Not Happening it's too big. There's too much risk. No matter what. All right. All right Rusty Monson your thoughts on if the American royal is going to happen or not. Well. Like you said, I did talk to emily detweiler and she seemed very confident and Johns before hundred, ninety, nine pennies if it does. So I'm going a hundred percent that it will happen why they did cancel all all of the you know the fluff and stuff like that. But the competition will go and I think actually that probably means it will happen more now because it's more safer environment for the cooks. So I think that actually put me to a hundred from ninety, nine percent while. All, right. Well, I was fifty fifty initially, and then by the time my speech ended I was one hundred percent sure that it was not going to happen. And a month later, I have new information. And a new result. Actually. It's not new at all. There's a zero percent chance at this thing is. It's not going to. Know. You can strip out everything you want you can. Kill the buzzards or as we call them in my world customers because they're paying. You can strip out all of that still doesn't change. The fact that there could be could be upwards of one hundred, thirty teams on day one, and there could be upwards of three hundred or four hundred teams on day two in the OPE. There's no way you're GONNA be able to regulate that many barbecue cooks to stay the fuck away from each other because rusty said, they're just humans. You don't realize you're accumulating with each other until somebody's going dude one. It's bad if if if Memphis. In. May. MEMPHIS IN MAY has cancelled, how can the American royal take place? I will say in complete contradiction where I, love to live and hypocrisy. Perhaps, the American royal wants to say. We did it in twenty twenty. I think that could potentially be an irresponsible flag to plant the barbecue sand here I'm merely speculating that. But, we are really running up against where they need to make the call and it could becoming a potato. I. Mean. The end of the month is the end of the week, right? I think the thirty first is on Friday. So I I think we're probably right up against where they need to make that call. I would be shocked if we see the American Royal Barbecue Competition take place in any form or fashion. So I'm with John by the way John are one, hundred percent right and Doug rushed the. Wrong, and we'll see how it all turns out here. Let me go around the Crock here before I. Let you guys go doug anything coming up that you WANNA talk way by. believe almost let this one go and we can run long on this. GotTa go. Will you? John signed, we'll do it. All right. John, Solberg will you eat a barbecue ribs sandwich? I will take the assignment if a sign. All right. Now, let's back out for a second. No assignment. "Oh absolutely, if I didn't have a couple of twenty, two hundred, now, Honda's laying around the all into it, and I'm already invested. But yeah, I. Think it's fantastic. I'd love to get my hands on. Does the company have growth potential here rusty or are they going to be making inroads to all this fire lifestyle or what? I think. So I mean they came and talked to us about it. So Anthony and I both have won a lot of the barbecue guys why have one so I think it's crucial for it I. Mean. It'd be nice to see people having it out. You know 'cause I'm a kind of a hippy that way I like to see people going away from gas and things like that. So that's one good point of it, but I'm starting to see a lot of people getting them and using them in the barbecue world in the Lai fire world. So. Hopefully. They're Nice. How many amps? How many amps rusting? You know I don't know I'm not sure. Okay. Okay. Rusty. You said you powered your green. Mountain. Grow with it. Do you use the pizza oven insert with that too? No? Not Yet? I haven't. I have I have had my own pizza oven so I don't need it. Don't need. You don't need to breathe I mean Green Mountain, Grill and pizza of an insert or like hand in hand like food saver and barbecue. What are you doing? It cooks, chicken, and that's it just sits in the corner. Looks really pretty when it's time to cook some chicken, the yacht with A. Chicken. That's it. Man? No one nothing else goes in that grandma and but chicken. Well, let me tell you something. This is why competition barbecue continues to fail in this generation because. You have different cookers for different meats. You have a green mountain, grilled chicken cooker. You have a drum to cook this. You have something else to cook that by the way Doug that I have an answer for you on how many watts if you look at the screen here from the Anthony, Luhan. Five hundred watts bundling. So okay, that's not many amps. Okay. Five hundred watt. So it's a whatever amp calculator that it's four or five am. For him to tell you and a half you don't. Won't use that Green Mound, go for anything else. Well, I have other cookers for. So we discussed I hate clean. I hate moving and I hate cleaning man I'm not. I don't have to go cookout clean out a if I can get away with not doing a chicken cooker. Awesome nobody touches it, and that's why all right we're talking with the embedded correspondents right here. Doug, shining to my right on. Solberg.
