Does the government support. It could make money off it. Let's check in with the best energy analyst and the business russia brazil the founder and executive chairman for or be in energy rusty. Welcome back to money all right. Thanks jim in great to be with you to talk about something completely different. Yes but it's something that you are a specialist on a line. Some great things on it rusty a lot of people talking their book. Here i some people say the clean energy clean hydrogens years away. Somebody will say blue hydrogen. You'll say green. Please please straighten out the terms. Tell us what's in the bill. Tell us where we are with hydrogen. All right well this time. It looks real jam and it's an absolute must if we're going to get anywhere close to the paris. Accords are any of the decarbonisation or are net zero commitments. That are being made It's a big deal and it really needs to happen In terms of of what's going on in the market there's really two hydrogen markets. Really three if you want to think about it that way. One is the green hydrogen market. That we hear so much about that. There's so much information on the internet About these days and that's hydrogen. That's made from electricity and water. You just have to get the electricity from some place where it's made from renewables. I and then when you burn the hydrogen There no carbon produced and so it gets counted green and that is really what is attracting a lot of attention right now. What a lot of people don't pay that much attention to is the hydrogen business. That's been around for years And it's a huge business It's a the customers are refineries and ammonia plants petrochemical. Plants It it's about as much on volume metric basis as all the gas produced in the permian each day so it's a big market but make it out of that atom natural gas and when you make it out or natural gas even though the hydrogen itself is clean burning when you make it it generates a lot of co two and therefore they call that gray hydrogen on the other hand you can. Gray is in bad green hygiene good right good. Yeah but then there's halfway in between and that's blue hydrogen so if you take the carbon dioxide that is produced from making the gray hydrogen and sequester it meaning store it. Deep underground permanently forever and techniques. They called carbon capture and storage c. c. s. and carbon capture using stored. Ccus if you do that to it. As essentially almost as good as green hydrogen and you can do that with any of the hydrogen that is currently used with refineries with us ammonia plants or lots of other industrial facilities. That would have a hard time. Basically redoing their whole processes to get all the ceo. Tokyo a principal source if not maybe the largest after buildings for carbon dioxide for bed fists for noxious fumes warhol isn't long haul trucking really suited for green hydrogen. Absolutely the key to long haul. Trucking green hydrogen is that you're going to take the green hydrogen and then you're gonna liquefy it. So that's the kind of hydrogen that you you see plug power using for example plug power liquefies hydrogen. And that's what they provide to those long haul fleet operation A trucking operations. And that's gonna make a lot of sense and there's a number of folks beside- besides power that are focusing on that business. Yeah but if if it's really so good how come. We're not hearing. Exxon is opening up. Hydrogen fueling stations next to where there are truck depots. It's just gonna take some time to work through the whole process..

Donald Trump refuses to concede defeat
"The last few hours. The people's republic of china has congratulated. Us president elect joe biden on his. Victory last tuesday's this means that the list of nations still reserving judgment has dwindled to russia brazil north korea and intriguingly mexico. Mexico may just be passed. Caring trump himself maintains that he has been deprived vase second term by some monstrous fraud although the most dogged of his attorney rudy giuliani have unaccountably failed to furnish any evidence for this assertion as we go to air. I'm joined with more by scott. Lucas professor of studies at the university of birmingham scott. This is now a near clean sweep of recognition of president-elect biden from abroad. Is that having much impact. You think on american domestic politics well. Donald trump is dog in to The bunkers constructed inside the white house. And as far as i know he ain't coming out anytime soon. and even if it's now His friend vlad moscow and his. Flynn mr bolsonaro in brazil. That are the only ones left enabling that no it doesn't affect domestic politics because far more important than the foreign signals are those from within the united states and while a lot of republicans are privately concerned About the damage. That's being done to their party. Let on the. Us system by trump refusing to knowledge. President-elect biden you're still looking out officials within his administration who enabling him like william bar who's politicized the justice department to inquire into the election light. Mike pompeo who's politicized the state department to talk about a second administration. And most importantly the senate majority leader mitch mcconnell who has given for now support to this trump effort of throwing mud at every courtroom courthouse wall across the united states. Hoping that one case can make it up to the supreme court. I mean it's been a patent we've seen over the last few years and we've talked about this a lot. The idea that these will that the strange spectacle of these extensively sensible respectable republicans indulging enabling and excusing donald trump. But the has at least before now seemed a rationale to that which is that. He is the president of the united states. He does lead their party. And that's the way for them to get things done but the position. He's now wait in the last few hours. Arizona has been called for biden as well. If i've done the maths right. Even if trump's somehow clothes back pennsylvania and georgia which seems fantastically unlikely. That still won't be enough anyway. So those enablers do they genuinely believe any of this and if not where the what do they think. They getting out of another two months. You know that. That's a great question. And i don't think anyone beyond donald trump and maybe a couple of believers around him you know. Put any stock in the idea of fraudulent stolen election. And i don't think anyone everybody else can read the out that you so adequately summarize that you know. Joe biden is up by now sixty thousand votes in pennsylvania. He's likely to hold onto his lead in georgia. And if even if he lost us to stage right. Joe biden still has two hundred seventy electoral votes but the calculations were be different depending on who. You're talking to so for example. If you talk about mitch mcconnell. I think he's still relying on the idea that he needs to get those two senate seats in georgia to have a fifty to forty eight majority if he loses them both. The democrats have control of the senate. So he's going to ally himself with trump to make sure that you get high voter turnout amongst the trump. I if you talk about. Ted cruz. Lindsey graham marco rubio the senator who all have presidential ambitions in two thousand twenty four. They all push trump's conspiracy theories and disinformation because they see trump is being important to their political futures in other words beyond donald trump in this election is the long-term question of trumpism. The republican party. It might be a fractured republican party. But there are those who still see trumpism as being essential to their political futures. And that is what is really damaging corroding the american system short term interest versus. What should be the wider interest of an administration to deal with corona virus the economy and wider issues. President trump has been doing an amount of warning on twitter over. I notice from his feed that he has not yet got up and running today. And it's now just past seven. Am in washington dc. He has not however a spoken at least in public for a few days now. Is there anything in particular. We should infer from that. I talking talking. He doesn't want to admit he's lost. It and trump needs a rally. That's what trump feeds on so just simply going out in front of the reporters right now and you know telling them that their fake news. That's not what he wants. He wants to get that ego soothing balm of those people who will sit there and applaud him with make america. Great again now. They're interestingly enough. There is a gathering of pro-trump gathering in washington dc. Tomorrow it has not been sanctioned by the local authorities. but would it be the case that donald trump's suddenly makes us reprise appearance in front of them. I wouldn't rule anything out. But i think beyond that marcus that the the question here is that we've got some trump advisers who may be telling him. It's time to step aside. But if he steps aside there's already talk that he'll then immediately declare a run for president in two thousand twenty four and there are other advisors who were supporting like rudy. Giuliani which says keep fighting. This whichever camp has favor with him. At the moment there is this real protracted battle over what trump does in the next few weeks but what he does over the next four years and that means that for now he may not make cards tips and as it were publicly. scott lucas. Good Morning I am super excited today so we have a special guest in the studio today that we're going to be talking about some very interesting things and I'm going to have. Deborah introduced her but before we get to that and build a little bit of anticipation here so but I wanted to kind of wrap this. Put some context around our interview today. as we mentioned in previous episodes migration touchstones which We've talked about previously and just to kind of bring us around. What those are has to the touchstones of meditation. Mindfulness breath sound and intuition and We've talked in the past voting incorporating these practices as a group Into each of your practices because they can create very powerful intended outcomes and in order to do that we think about being more comprehensive in our in each of our approach is in part of that is to understand how to take care of the physical body and the brain in order to gain the greatest benefit of these practices so in other words the body mind must be an optimal health in order to gain the greatest benefit from these practices therefore it's of critical importance to understand the role of nutrition and in support of our physical and mental emotional health. So it's important to know in all of you may know this or you may not but all nutrition is not equal so to help understand what makes up the types of foods that will best compliment touchstones especially meditation. We are honored to have with us today to me. It Dominic Smith. Thank you so happy to be here. There are so much valuable information that to me is going to share with us today and In not only how? We can better mental emotional health but also our physical health so before we move forward into her interview. Thank you I was so such a joy It was a gift meeting to me And I knew the minute we started talking about mine tation and some of the valuable reasons why we exist. She jumped right in and started talking about food. And I said Oh my goodness would you mind sharing this? I mean I know. Food is important. Obviously but I didn't know that there are foods that support meditation in. There are certain foods that support other aspects of our life and and so when she started talking. I just knew that we'd love to have her on as a guest. The interesting thing I met her through family and now she really is family with with with all of us. She's born and raised in Hungary in two thousand and one she graduated as a Russian Major. I don't know how many languages she speaks but I know she's sick does so many things that are amazing. We could probably have fifty shows. But this one's focused on nutrition in two thousand and two. She became certified a certified Alexander Teacher. It's an Alexander Technique Body awareness designed to promote. Well being which is something that I would love to learn from her at one some point and I don't know it it's very similar to Other arts trying to think. What is the energy art that I'm I'm working with with with rob? Good Morning Rob. If all regularly Rakia Yeah. A and probably different but similar with the energy She also moved to Brazil in two thousand six and she became a body talk practitioner. And that's a holistic approach to healing based on proven principles of Energy Medicine It's an integrative approach to healthcare by supporting body's own natural healing mechanisms In two thousand eight she learned mindscape which is set of abilities for life enhancing a particular state of mind. It increases creativity and balanced thinking in two thousand eighteen. She finished functions way course art of using energy to focus on a harmonized people with their environments and recently you are working with. Falun Gong but in what's the the official name dull it's tougher Dafa So all about energy and health and and the flow. She also practice Can Amaechi for ten years. Can Amaechi is a martial. Art Tradition of Bhutto developed from Japanese art of Aikido and by Mush Amaechi normal. And I think that's another connection that she has with us our background in martial arts which I think is wonderful in a game attaching everything to energy and flow and she's lived in Hungary Russia Brazil Colombia India Thailand. She learned a lot of her nutrition. Not A lot. But a great amount. When you lived in Indiana in Brazil and in Brazil and you actually lived in an Ashram while where you learned many health things. I know the lifetime at that point..

"Narratives. The claim that the white helmets are organ traffickers. That they take take your organs from dead bodies or kill people and take the organs and sell them. I mean it's absurd. Claims that they make and these damning stories were coming from all over the place when all the way down from the Russian representative of the UN all the way down to a little box controls on twitter basically trying to smear them saying that they were actually she al Qaeda that you can trust and actually they're terrorists to the idea that the actors who do these fictional rescue operations in order to say bad things about crisis actors. Yeah exactly the whole thing is just a movie and and what makes this new different from the Soviet approach for sure. Is that this. New Russian brand propaganda isn't even trying to convince people people that what the bots and Youtube and Russian government officials are saying is even true. They don't have to convince you know. All of the Western audiences says of the most salacious claims all they have to do is create enough doubt in enough people about the legitimacy of that organization that people want discard their evidence and stop. Stop feeling that sympathy and begin to feel like I. Just don't I just don't know I'm just not sure you know the job isn't necessarily to convince anyone because the messages say contradictory is just so enough doubt and so in confusion that people just turned off the idea of taking any kind of side in this conflict the United States is stop funding one of the most important humanitarian rescue groups in Syria. The White Helmets formerly known as the Syrian. Civil defense is a group of three thousand. Volunteers saving lives in the war-torn country. Free and Tony Eighteen. The US withdrew most of its support for the White Helmets and stopped funding. Most other humanitarian efforts and Syria so to review the Russians strategy. I create confusion. Tell a bunch of different stories. Some plausible some crazy across across every form of modern communication create. A world of conspiracies basically confuse the daylights out of people. Then people are like. This is so exhausting. I don't even know what to believe. So why try to do anything about it which leads to the third. Step that most important one of all when you live in a world which is full of conspiracies which you can understand then you need a strong longhand to guide you through this strong authoritarian hand to protect unions scary cold world and also. This point is trying to do anything any of your attempts to change anything. They're going to be pointless because he didn't really even understand. The rules of this world. Disinformation breeds authoritarians and vice versa. Zack and not just in Russia the problem and it's the several layers. The problem is completely global moment so we see very similar patterns all across the world. Turkish voters gave additional powers to the president and less power to their own future trips to the ballot box. Authoritarians are rising to power. In some cases there are some ties back to Russia on the French government is concerned about Russian involvement in their upcoming president. Other cases. It's it's hard to know maybe authoritarians just adopting the techniques of disinformation pioneered by Russia. Brazil has a new president. Becoming the latest nation to elected fall fall river according to Peter. The reason authoritarianism is on the rise is because twenty-first-century technology allows disinformation to spread like never. Never before. And the point of these conspiracies that you can never know the truth and so in that sense. Donald Trump is very very similar in that way. He you know he just as well. We don't know we never knew. Do this was the largest to ever. Witness an inauguration period never know global warming and a lot of. It's a hoax. It's a hoax. It's a money making industry okay. It's a halt say trump plays in that as well and.

"A dissolution your Christmas since then critters rebounded fifty bucks foul, but lots of investors are nervous that this week is very strong evidence that we're seeing some sort of slow down global economy. That's one of the five hundred always seems to get hit on days like today where the price of oil goes down give them a buck fifty today alone. Now whenever I want to get a clear on oil and gas. I always check in with Russia, Brazil, he's president and principal energy markets consultant for RBM energy because he has such an incredible track record and because she's ever read. A why read them every morning as he says, I sent him an Email almost all rusty. Welcome back. Demand buddy. Goodness. Sees sir. Thanks. I cannot emphasize enough to people that if you and you kinda website, so people can read some of the things that you it's free. It's free. And you'd be nuts not to do because you've had a tremendous call for years and years now. So let's start with the news that we just had happened. We saw the Treasury Secretary talk about. Taking the remitting not remaining. The proceeds for Venezuela. Does it really matter anymore? Venezuela. You taught me used to be the biggest. And now it is furry little it's small we're we're only getting maybe five hundred six hundred thousand barrels a day from Venezuela. So it's not a big deal. It is a specific kind of very heavy very high sulfur crude oil, and if it were to disappear there would be a good thing for the refineries that run it the valeros chevrons, the those sorts of refineries. They would have a problem making up for that kind of crew. But in the big scheme alive, let's face it. The Permian alone grew by a million barrels a day last year. So that is more than twice what we're getting from Venezuela now. So in the big scheme belive, it's not a huge deal. Kedah? You've followed the US. And listen you predicted quite well, I've often come back to how important Saudi Arabia ear when we keep adding an and you're not saying that we're going to necessarily stop at. No, we are going to keep adding even though we're probably gonna. Adlass than we did last year, but Saudi Arabia basically has one tool one weapon and that is to reduce production. So they have the the ability to basically forgo market share to US producers, gee that doesn't sound like a really powerful weapon as..
