Lawmakers in Little Rock are considering tweaking the state's version of the Freedom of Information Act during a special session on the topic. Some of that could be involving public safety at that time. Some of it could be involving starting to understand what's the most critical thing that needs to be done that simply just does not need to be out in the public at that time. Most critics of the bill don't take issue with changes to protect the governor and her family, but instead the actions to the Senate bill. This bill goes far beyond personal safety. The additional modifications to FOIA have nothing to do with protecting human lives and everything to do with protecting state government from public scrutiny. It provisions includes would that take away Arkansans' rights to details about how their state government The bill, as presented, would stop the public from having access to records on communication between the governor or their staff and the secretary and ending FOIA changes beyond governor security. And they have the same thing here. It's not as big but you can go see in. They explain to you all the different things of how it was at the time and what happened when the eruption took place and you can see a very village basically of a village that was buried under volcanic ash which is pretty cool. Yeah they also have a place called to puja and there is where you get a real local authentic feel they explain to you the maori culture that explained to you the more is and then you can do this thing called a hunky. Think they put the food underneath the ground in. They cook it. Because it's geothermal. It actually cooks the food and so this is that they do here in new zealand. You can experience all this one place called puja. They also have an area where you'll see their native bird which is actually a kiwi bird on its nocturnal birdseye. Walk through in. it's all dark. The did you bring your children on that or is that something that we did. Okay yeah yes so now. My kids so our thirteen sixteen seventeen thirteen year old was not allowed to do it so i think at the time she may have been twelve i think now she would be able to but yeah they do have a limit on the age so just keep that in mind. This here is only a twenty minute max. Drive out of rotorua. And along the way are some beautiful lakes eaten swimming as well. Some of the lakes have thermal at geothermal pools that you can go to. So that's something. Quite unique set said very interesting unique. They also have beautiful hikes along some of the lakes rated around brutaru literally like ten minutes away. So it's quite nice the other thing you can do. That's a little thrill seeking is a river jet vote tour and what's unique about. It was so new. Zealand invented the jet boats. I guess back in the day. And so you go through this river in your kind of dodging. You know that the size of the river. And it's also geothermal all along so they bring you spots that you could see the miss coming out of the the rocks and then you actually you go with these sweatsuits and you walk through where. The volcano erupted in gone through. And so now it's left like this little crevice in you're going through these tight little rocks to get to the the end at the end. There's really warm waterfall. That drops on you. All the geothermal water is just absolutely amazing. That sounds incredible. What a wonderful experience. Yes so there's like so much to do in such a small little contained area awesome. Now i don't want to run out of time before we talk about some of the food there because i understand. There's probably some really amazing food right there rotaru. I like that are more authentic or some really great restaurants. Yeah so rain. In the downtown there is one st and it's covered which is very nice because it gives a nice atmosphere and then if there's any kind of rain you don't have to worry about it but everything's had an indoor and outdoor at the same time so in that one little kind of out. Call it a corridor outdoor corridor. He will they have every single restaurant. You can possibly imagine so any type of food that you wanted to try Would be there. There's one restaurant that we enjoyed while we were there called in brescia and they have like these pick meals where you can pick a different meal and you get like a starter meal then your dessert which is like oftentimes local.

You know maybe they work at a corporation at its ninety hours a week than ever see their family, even the money can be nice but I mean, you look up and your kids are. Little and they start growing and you go I'm missing out on their lives. If I have my own business, I'll have the flexibility and the autonomy, and it can also be that same dragon that takes you away.
