"Monday night is New Orleans at Las Vegas in the first game in Las Vegas, like thought the NFL Whatever being big, and and then even Thursday night, we have the battle of Ohio, which might not be very sexy on the surface, but I think has got a lot of Implications on a lot of cities, But we will start off on Sunday night in a Super Bowl rematch with Cam Newton. Let Patriots Traveling to Seattle to play the Russell Wilson led Seahawks and I'm curious what stands out about this match up to you modelers this one out of it. And let's start with that Super Bowl revenge and that we can move on. Tio talking about current pages can do so you'll look back at that Super Bowl 49 have played one since that in 2016, Foxboro, Buddy. And we go back to that Super Bowl, and I don't up the players still on the respective teams at the roster who played necking for Seattle, it's only find Russell Wilson Bobby Wagner, agent right? Bruce Irvin and Luke Wilson, Urban and Wilson had left and then come back the Patriots this fast because for a long time, I think, since that, which was one of the iconic Super Bowls, history, no question about that. We talked about how the Seahawks had changed. Their legion of boom had gone. They lost a lot of both sides of all Patriots. Still have Grady still had rock they don't anymore. So look the Patriots and if you remove the opt outs of Hightower after young Brandon Bolden Only Julian Edelman and Devon McCord are still on the active roster from that game. Super Bowl 49, Arizona. You look at the difference in perspective of those two teams from I don't know if you agree out. That's that's one of the better suit. There was an outstanding school, but it was not the only memorable matchup between the Patriots and just These teams have played some great games, even though we're on opposite coasts, even though they are in opposite conferences, and we go back and look at this. Evan, there's a history between these two teams. There is so you go back to 2012. Russell Wilson's rookie season, The Patriot went up to Seattle. Seattle won the game. That was the famous Richard Sherman. You mad, Bro Game where you got your Brady After the game, he intercepted Brady. And when they played 2060 really good, really good gate 31 to 20 for the Seahawks won And then when we talk about these head coaches out guys who have been doing it a long time You take it all the way back to a tree. It's when Bill Belichick's seeded Pete Carroll with New England, There's so many parallels with this game. And then as we get to the quarterback, right, and these are these are two of the most iconic quarterbacks we've seen in NFL history, and that may sound like bluster. But when you dig into the numbers, it's not Can Newt Russell Wilson on Ly players in NFL history with multiple seasons of 3500 passing yards, 500 rushing yards, And when you see what they didn't week, one this is a is a great magic and Newton outstanding in his debut, Everyone focuses on running the ball. I focus on the play action pass Ng quick passing game in the fact that he completed 79% of past So while running the ball, we'll get the headlines for me. If can't and mitts that those 15 rush attempts for 75 2 touchdown with inefficient passage to England top Stop! I love this match up. I'm tired of watching it. On Sunday night on NBC think it should be just terrific. And again, you bring up some great games between these two teams should be fantastic Monday night, ESPN, I think as a really compelling Monday night match up the Saints, who beat the Buccaneers on Sunday. Go and play the Raiders in the very first human Las Vegas Now, if there were fans and a legion stadium, it would be unbelievable. The atmosphere will be incredible. We would be there. I'm sorry we won't be. I'm sorry. Won't see that. But as it is, it's still unnatural to water, No jeans and upstart Raiders teammates Strong saints team what stands out to you here? I think you start When you hear Drew Brees and Monday night, your mind just goes back to all the historic moment you're going to see those leading up to next Monday night is his first Monday night Games. It's week 15 last season. When he wrote Peyton Manning's All time touchdown passes record gets the Colton's rule Superdome. Not only did you break that record, you said the NFL single game completion within 29 30 passes. In a game incredible performances previously, his career he's broken. Peyton's All time hasn't guards record in 2018 broke another records. So Drew Brees has a flair for the dramatic and now the other thing is that one of things that stand out to me about this game is Is there some parallels between how Derek Carr's been playing now Drew Brees played for the last few years of despair car last year completed over 70% of passes that was second leave behind on Drew Brees. It will be the highest mark in season all time, and he relied on those short road to do it. That car had the shortest average fastest in the last season. Well, who was the second shores drew great, So it's interesting that you sometimes hear people may be criticized car for not taking his money shots down the field and lying on the shore passes, but that somewhere we're Drew Brees has made a living out. It's you know, sure, Get the ball up with short passes, and then you take your shot down the field. So I think Derek Carr with that 70/70 percent completion, short passes quick passes. Combine that with Josh Jacobs. I think the Raiders are interesting team. I was very impressed with them in the opener and Josh have seen very strong and they've been building some talent there for quite some time. And it looks like Mike MC and John wouldn't have it on the right after moving forward, and then the other prime time matchup doesn't Stand up to the other two that we discussed today. But it's Thursday night, and I said on Mother's account down this week that it's over Ohio So far, it's two on one to use both work, both former number one overall picture quarterback One of these teams is gonna go on to, and I don't want to see their season's over because it's early, but their season's going to be in a really deep, dark spot. What would owe in two I mean, for one of these Ohio teams after Thursday night, it's an uphill climb for sure. And if we go back to when the NFL went to 12 playoff teams in 1990, you take the teams who started onto only 12% of those teams ended up making the flowers. Now that percentage increases the 42% you start 11, so that's a difference of 30% there. 12% of 42 0 into versus 11, and we saw some good things in Joe grown weak one. I think this game is fascinating for the Cleveland Browns, new head coach. The second year with Odell Beckham Jr the third year now for bigger major, If they start over into losing Teo, Bro and Bangles are rookie quarterback, I think I think that's gonna be a huge topic as we move forward with kind of unfortunate to say the same old ground, right, so I totally agree with you. This is Fascinating game Thursday night because only two spells doom If you're looking to make the playoffs should quickly mentioned four other deans this week between own one.

"Do. So the packers at nine number, a coin flip I'll go with Minnesota because I like their overall roster better stefan digs losing him hurts but they have Adam feeling good tight ends delvin Cook. I don't think there was super bowl team and I said that about Green Bay last year I thought they were nine seventeen that got to thirteen and three they got blown out by the niners in the NFC championship Kirk cousins is six and twenty nine in the regular season against winning teams. We got a book on Him. He's a good quarterback. He's got a real low ceiling. He gets tightened big games. I like their coach Mike Zimmer although I think he's a bit conservative for taste. This is a very, well run smartly. Great GM really good organization I just think they have a ceiling them in the packers to me is coin flip I like the vikings roster more but Aaron Rodgers is special number seven. Seattle gave up three hundred and eighty one yards a game last year that was the worst in the Pete Carroll era. Now they went and got Jamal Adams, who is a playmaker? And they got Clinton Donmar trade with Washington. So the secondary will be better there is no question they will be better on the back end. They still have bobby, Wagner, they have. Russell Wilson my issues with Seattle I've got them lower than a lot of people at the top division. I do not like their offense line and their defensive line is one of the worst in the NFL I think they've upgraded on the back end and Jamal Adams will play linebacker as much as he does safety. So they've got they've got three unbelievable players, Russell Wilson Bobby Wagner Jamal Adams but too many holes on the line only. At seven number, six, Philadelphia fewer holes in Seattle without perhaps having three superstar players they're one of four teams in the NFL that's made the playoffs each of the last three years, and that's with a ton of injuries wide receiver, a ton of injuries at quarterback a ton of injuries in the secondary they added Darius slay who I think the top three corner in the nfl they went drafted a wide receiver in the first round and they can't possibly be as injury riddled as last year it's not possible I. also think it's a pretty drab division whereas Seattle's got two games against the niners to against the rams. Eagles get the giants twice in Washington, twice that feels foreign automobiles at six number five. Tampa Bay listen this team with forty turnovers was seven and seven to fourteen games. Last year Brady's Bronx here shady McCoy. Leonard Fournette Tristan works right tackle. They have made massive upgrades also, it's Bruce Arians second year, todd bull second year don't over think the room here. All these critics, Brady folks, they made massive personnel changes. It's the second year with a coat and a very smart defensive coordinator Tampa Bay five number four saints are a Super Bowl Team I. always say my final four should be super bowl favorites added to really. SMART Veterans Malcolm Jenkins, the safety and Emmanuel Sanders to a super bowl level auster. So they added maturity. Why does that matter? Because we didn't have a preseason? We didn't have ot as smart veteran playmakers, Malcolm, Jenkins Emmanuel Sanders a great roster ready to perform game one saints four number three, forty niners don't think the room they lead the chiefs for three quarters they outplayed Kansas. City for three quarters Best Young Coach Football Garoppolos twenty one and five is a starter. Can we stop banging on Jimmy Garoppolo good? God He was twenty one and five as good as Kyle Shanahan was he couldn't win until Garoppolo got healthy. Number to Kansas City returns eighteen at twenty two starters I don't think they've come close to hitting their peak. You know even Patrick Mahomes was eleventh and completion percentage in seventh and passer rating I don't think he's close to sealing. They're only going to get better in any read made a great point this week he goes you know a lot of times teams in super bowls and they get flashy and crazy and they party too much. He goes we couldn't there's a pandemic we couldn't go out. So we just kept our head down and coach football and played football practice football love achieves number one Baltimore I haven't sixteen and on. I don't. It's really funny about this. This whole Lamar thing Lamar Jackson. What do you need to see? He was better at the end of last year at the beginning they're fine. They've added Class Campbell on the Defensive Front the Earl Thomas loss. I don't think hurts much because I think their corners are great and their pass rushes better. There's nothing I don't like about this team I like their work ethic I like their front office I love their coach I, like the way, the coach and the quarterback embrace each other and I love that Lamar Jackson got a total. Chip on your shoulder I love eight just every off season. He's like, yeah I listed critics I got to get better and he does you've got to play better from behind. That's a real thing. But I, think the ravens have a chance to go sixteen and Ellen that sounds ridiculous. But I think in a season where we've got no preseason, these veteran teams or these teams would return and quarterbacks in coaching stars will do very well. All right. Now, I don't have Cleveland and I have them eleven. Have Denver I have them twelve I don't have buffalo in I have them thirteen. Again I don't know what's defense key looks like as a head coach just give me a week. So I have Cleveland Eleven. DENVER. Lost their right tackle. So now I don't like Denver at either tackle spot I. Love the rest of their roster but I can't go with a team in the top ten who's GonNa they're struggling already at left tackle now they lost right tackle with a young quarterback in Buffalo I. Think they coached the hell out of that team but Josh Allen scares me and with that one of the great left tackles in the history of football eleven, NFL seasons and eleven pro bowls. Yeah he was good day one is Joe Thomas NFL network analyst joining us now. Mobile Satellite Network. All right. So let's just let's just get to this. I do think Cleveland's GONNA BE A playoff team. I think they're going nine games I. Don't know what they're gonNA look like in. September. So you tell me are you hearing what are you seeing Joe from the Browns at Camp? Well this year, it's all about managing expectations as you talked about last year that came in with some high expectations, the Browns, players, and coaches, and even the front office wanted to talk about how great things we're going to be, and obviously it didn't exactly turn out the way everybody had hoped and expected in Cleveland, and so this year it's all about managing expectations don't go in and give anybody the impression that you're going to blow the world away. Especially, with the pandemic shorten season, the pandemic short offseason, a new head coach, new offense coordinator. So I think right now the browns are going to be better than people EXPEC but the big thing for them we'll just to kind of go in and try to sneak up on people especially early on in the season. So it's interesting in Chicago. They've named Mitch trubisky starter and the GM and the coach just laying praise on Mitch Trubisky, and we've already seen forty two starts. You can fool the media, you can fool fans it is hard. To fool players. Do you believe bear players. Think Mitch Trubisky can take them to a special place. The bear players will not believe that Mitch Trubisky is going to take them to that special place that Super Bowl until he can show it on the field you know when you look at his career, he's had a few good games here and there, but he hasn't been able to put it together consistently. Team and you want to be able to stand in the huddle and convince people that what you're going to call right now what it's third and ten and you need a play is something that he is going to be able to deliver on. You got to be able to do that consistently, and if you WANNA, take your team to the playoffs do you WanNa take your team to the Super Bowl as a quarterback you got to be able to do it weekend and week out and so far. Mitch Trubisky has not been able to do that, and it didn't help at all last season when he kind of dealt with some of the things in the media where he seemed like mentally he was a little bit taken aback by what people were saying about him outside the building where he was turning TV's off in their facility and so those are all things that players on that roster are going to think about and they're gonNA wonder about until Mitch is able to do it consistently.

"Every dollar counts hard cap cap manipulated like the NBA every dollar counts. Spend rarely infrequently and only spend the big money on great players. Ma Mahomes Travis Kelsey. Chris Jones. Russell Wilson Bobby Wagner. If you'RE GONNA spend big money, spend it on the right guys and spend it infrequently. Ninety nine percent of the players in this league are not worth a point in. Vegas not a point. The quarterbacks are worth somewhere between four and twelve. But the Dallas cowboys have just been handing out candy to everybody everybody get paid and a Lotta Times they're really good players Amari Cooper demarcus Lawrence, they're not superstar players. They're top-heavy. Saw The rams do this couple years ago And now what happens when your top heavy? You start to have to take chances on guys who were a little older Gerald McCoy older guys get hurt on personality issues they all eventually unravel. So Dallas is defensive line is now all Gerald McCoy boom her out year Retired Alden Smith, not a long-term Solution Cross your fingers it worked for a year. Everson Griffen talented older but there's been. Some mental health issues of the market for him wasn't big. There's also Randy Gregory I think at somewhere on the roster. Wouldn't you have all these big contracts a you have very little depth. One or two injuries can just blow everything up. It did with the Rams you get the wrong injury season over. That doesn't happen with with like the Baltimore Ravens are a great team. They don't have a ton of big contracts. You could lose a starting Corner Earl Thomas Mark Ingram and in a right tackle Baltimore it's still probably be co favorites in the AFC because they're not paying a lot of people huge money. Ronnie Stanley, get paid yet Lombardo and get paid you I. Think Earl Thomas is one of their biggest contracts. So Dallas houses situation where when you're top heavy you don't have a lot of depth and injuries which, of course happened in the NFL are unbelievably punitive Dallas has now one more turned ankle from because remember their secondary stinks. It's not like Baltimore where if you had defensive line injuries, the Ravens secondary is filthy. There's some secondaries in this league New England secondary's Good Baltimore. Secondary Buffalo Secondary's unbelievable where if you had a defensive line issue, you've got the corners and the safeties and the coverage skills to be okay. They will bail you out. That's not going to happen in Dallas the weak spot of this teams the secondary. So now you're one injury away or one. Personality conflict away from being awful defensively and just praying jalen Smith hundred.

"If he'd not that awful pass on the previous drive. But if you look at the top ten players on the Seahawks and the Cowboys roster. Russell Wilson, Bobby Wagner. Make it for Seattle. The other eight best players Zeke Layton Vander Amari Cooper, Zack Martin Tyron Smith. Jalen. Smith DeMarcus Lawrence Byron Jones throwing Cowboys. Seattle has two great players. They are not a great team. Dallas is loaded with a limited quarterback. And I think increasingly this was actually a very classic Dak Prescott game. He was mostly uninspiring. His stats were mad. He's consistently infuriating and inaccurate. But Zeke big day defense delivered. And he makes a play late. We've said from day one about Dak it ain't pretty, but he has a certain personal resonant and calm in crisis. He tends to be better with the game on the line. Then he is in the first three quarters with just first downs on the line. But I do think this weekend is interesting because I think Dak Trubisky and Lamar are different versions of the same quarterback. The difference is Lamar and Trubisky. Have a ways to go until they get paid Dak is about to get paid. And hopefully once again Dak Prescott has the self awareness understand. There is a recipe for Dak to win. And those things all have to work and they all did this weekend. Home running defense, mega big play light. But going forward does Dak want wins or lettuce because if he wants wins. This was classic. Dak it all had to work at home to not just beat Seattle. But understanding that Seattle personnel wise right now today isn't even close to Dallas. All right coming up next. Jay Glazer around the corner, we have a couple of job openings that could be solved with your favorite team. And I will finally have time. Now, I'm gonna tell you. The game. The lions came out the lines are bigger than I thought one of them. I feel complete trap. They're begging you to take team. Don't fall for it. That's coming.

"Twenty more plays a hundred more yards over double the rushing yards. Almost two yards more Peron and completely dominated time of possession. You know at the box score tells you because if you watch the game the game told you Russell Wilson is better than that. But the box score tells you Dallas is way better than Seattle. This was a personnel mismatch. And I'm surprised it was this close. Seattle did not have a first down. A first down until they're forced possession. I said going into the game. Seattle's a great story. They're not a great football team. Dallas we think of them as dysfunctional Jerry Jones can't win playoff games. They're a highly functioning organization. This is an excellent roster. But because of the limitations at quarterback, they have to in a certain way and the game went the way it needs to go Zeke had a big day. They were at home defense did their part and enact does what he does often made one big play light. I did like Dax run late course, he wouldn't have had to been hero. If he'd not that awful pass on the previous drive. But if you look at the top ten players on the Seahawks and the Cowboys roster. Russell Wilson, Bobby Wagner. Make it for Seattle. It is all Cowboys after that. You know, people say necessity is the mother of invention. But that's not always true. Sometimes the mother of invention is advertising. Yeah. Or pure accident. "Iheartradio, Fox Sports radio and f s one Jamie Maggio is joining me looks very christmassy. I wearing lavender. I do. Not look christmasy red sequence only work certain days of the year tonight. The busted out it looks fantastic. You calling. You look great to Colin whatever's, by the way, it's great to be here on a Monday. I hope all of you have done most of your traveling so far for the next couple of days. We appreciate you stopping by. You're sitting around with your family. It was a remarkable. Really Sunday and NFL season out. We do this every Monday throughout the course of the year. So for the people that would tune in today, and you don't normally watch the show is I have opinions over the course of a week. And then on Mondays the start of my second hour, I show you where I was right last week, and where I was wrong, and these are sort of macro things that I nailed or whiffed on, but we think it's a good opportunity to show you we make a lot of mistakes a lot of times. We're right. So here we go there Monday staple where Colin was right? We're calling was wrong where Colin was right. Our blazing five finish the year. Fifty eight percent. I will not be here on Friday. We pick the giants to lose close to the colts. We were right? We picked Green Bay to go on the road and win by over a field goal. And we pick Seattle beat Kansas City. We had a nother winning week three into it. My second best year ever slightly over fifty eight percent. I we hope you want some money. We maybe a Ford in an extra. A Christmas present for your cat. But we had a good year. We take it. Seriously. Thanks for supporting our blazing five another winning week where Colin was raw. I had said at the beginning of this year that p Carroll was starting to drive me crazy and was becoming Mike Tomlin where I thought too much emotion not enough discipline while I'm wrong, Seattle and Pete Carroll. He may be had his best year coaching. It's not as best team. They're buttoned up they have an identity their offense perfectly complements their defense. I think they're over achieving Pete Carroll solve this offensive line mass in one year. He made very good off season hires Seattle, really and Pete Carroll is leading this deserve a ton of credit. I still think they're roster by and large is Doug Baldwin. Russell Wilson Bobby Wagner it and just a bunch of dudes, but they are winning close games. And they looked exceptionally. Welcome. Coached where Colin was right? We warn the New York Giants. We said be very careful about paying ode L Beckham junior a ton number one. He's fragile number two can be disruptive. Number three. His great games. Don't equal wins. What do you know, he missed three games this year and is best? Sick sundays. They went one and five. Listen, I said this about JJ watt for years some players are great individual talents. But they don't necessarily elevate the unit, and I feel sometimes ally manning glommed onto Odell Beckham because he feels he has to get him involved. I felt this for years with Dez Bryant of the Cowboys. I think right now the New York Giants need of draft another quarterback. And if they could move on Odell and get better offense, lineman long-term for sake. One barkley. I think that's the better move. Now. I will say this his Nike commercial owed ELS Nike. Maybe the best commercial on the market right now. He does that in one handed catches as well as anybody on the planet where Colin was raw. I said Lamar Jackson should be a second round pick maybe top in the third. He should sit for year develop them and kind of reboot the offensive personnel. I watched live Saturday. Totally composed threw for more yards than Philip rivers. Made the throw the game to another rookie. I was really taken back. And by the way, Baltimore's coaches are credit to they're not asking him to throw thirty five times. He is not a gifted pocket thrower at this point. But his composure on the road against a really good pass rush and a really good defense was notable. And again, I said he's got some Tibo qualities..

"I I can guarantee what I only even have to see the film to know what happened in this one is a cent routes at Kiko Alonzo. Ray Kwan McMillan those linebackers. Those guys are not gonna process two or three pieces of information at once they processed routes. They reacted the routes in the middle of the field opens up. Josh Allen bronze I would almost bet year salary, which I think I oh you for last bit that. That's what's going to happen when she put on the film and see how these runs came to be. Denver. Cincinnati Broncos go in there and beat the Jeff Driscoll led Bengals here. But the the headlines from this one book AJ green went down to the Nankai contact injury looked like it was his his toe again. But probably the really big headline or well, it is the really big headliner. Chris Harris broke his leg in. This one's Chris Harris is going to miss time. The Broncos hope they will have him back. If they make the playoffs that seems like something of a long shot at this point. But they won't have them for the rest of the regular season. And that's a. Obviously a big deal. He's he's a superstar cornerback. Yes. Huge huge loss because we've talked about how inconsistent Bradley Roby has been now Robie becomes a number one. But also Harris with his ability to go into the slot or play out live at gave him a lot of flexibility. Not just for how they used Harrison self who as you said is true number one. But also how they would use Roby and at times and he's struggling how they would hide him or Tremaine Brock their other nickel corner for that matter. So it's a thin secondary. Now, the pass rush becomes that much more important. I'm not overly off to Harris. A key piece for them. I'm not overly optimistic and last game of the week Seattle Seahawks. Win the rivalry game over the forty Niners forty-three sixteen they they won this in their usual fashion. They won the turnover battle significantly. They they end up getting a three takeaways your giveaways. They actually got. Outgained in this game four fifty two to three thirty one. But they were they were in control. This one never really felt like it was in doubt for the Seahawks who continue to win the way they win. They had their three bags combined four hundred thirty one hundred forty four yards rushing yards in this one. So nice work. Nice work in Seattle had only it looks like they had about fifty snaps in the game totaling up some of the stats here. Forty points on fifty snaps. That's pretty efficient that take some dominant play on both sides of the ball. You've got to have some field position. Help to have only fifty snaps and put up that many points because they didn't have a ton of yards either. It's Russell Wilson had one eighty five passing. They ran for one sixty eight but their longest run was twenty three yards. It's not like they had these homerun plays. Well, they also I mean look one hundred twenty eight penalty yards for the forty Niners in this one too. So that helps that'll help it does it does. But this was this was a nice comfortable win for the for the Seahawks. And look all Neil all the talk in the preseason about who they lost and how they weren't going to be the same Seahawks. All that. They're still enough guys there between Russell Wilson Bobby Wagner to to to keep the ship righted in Seattle. And obviously they are right there in the playoff hunt in the NFC believe they would be I'll give you the quick playoff picture. Even though I'm sure everyone who listened the show has gotten that somewhere else. They. Yeah, they are depending what happens Monday night wash. Shing tin can come tie them for the wildcard spot. But yeah, Seattle seven five they would be in. If the postseason started today. It would be very unfair for the postseason start today because that means the needles played played one less game everyone else. But. Thing of the week. Andy, what do you have? Keenan Allen on stack releases and switch releases. That's another area where he's dominant in the more. I watched really good offense around the NFL the more. You see how important those stack releases are when you release receivers off the line and the defense can't tell which receivers the most outside guy in which ones inside..

"Rodney wanted the strangers situations occurring in pro football. And that of course has to do with Earl Thomas the Seattle Seahawks. Thomas coming out this week in saying that the reason he missed a couple of days of practice last week is because it self-preservation he's making sure that he stays healthy goes if I'm going to have a cold, I'm not going to be out there practicing. I'm looking out for myself. They're not looking out for me. I'm looking out for myself yet. He's allowed to play on Sundays. And let's be honest. He's been one of the most dominant forget just defensive players one of the most dominant players in the NFL so far heading into week four. But Rodney how do you not practice? You say you're not practicing because well, you're just not gonna practice because your self preservation is ongoing. And then yet the team allows you to play on Sunday Roddy. It's absolutely crazy. And and the me I understand what he's doing. I understand what he's doing. I don't agree with what he's doing. But I understand it just seems like it's a little out of character for Earl Thomas to take this approach. But I think the t. Has pushed him to a point. Because you know, Earl is a very reserved guy. He's not a Rah Rah guy and for him to be the type of leader that he is and not practice. That's something that I could never do contract situation or not. I could never never just say. Okay. I got a my toenail hurts. So I'm not practicing. I'm always trying to go out there with my team. But I understand what he's doing. Because he's basically looking at it. Like, hey, I give everything I've done everything. You guys asked me to do. I'm a leader. I'm productive. I do things in the community. But yet you won't pay me. So I get what he's doing. I don't agree with it. And I think the second part of the two to me is I think peak heroes wrong. I mean, if you've got a guy out there. I don't care who he is. If he's not participating if he's not giving full effort if he's not part of what you're trying to build. There's no way I played a guy. So I I look at Pete Carroll, and I just I'm very disappointed in Pete Carroll because you're not holding him accountable. You're basically saying that he's better than everyone else. Yeah. But how about the rest of the law? Locker room. Rodney say say you're in that locker room alongside roll Thomas. And maybe it helps that they don't have any more veterans left there except Russell Wilson Bobby Wagner and a couple other guys I guess Doug Baldwin. But the fact is if I'm out there busting my tail every day in practice, right? And look everybody thinks they probably deserve more money. Russell Wilson probably goes, man. Look at these new quarterback these quarterbacks now making ten million more than I'm making. But the fact is if everybody else is out there participating in practice, and this one guy is not does that lead to animosity the locker room. It does it does it can. And it does at times because you know, guys, look and say well once again at least the animosity toward the player as well as the coaching staff because they're saying look at him. Earl Thomas can do whatever he wants. He's not out there buses tail. He's not out there when it's raining when it's cold when it's hot when this one is that a year can lead to bitterness short term yet they're playing they're planning a little better and he's making plays. But what happens when he stops making those plays? What happens if he gets torched a couple? Times then leads to a lot of bitterness. But also, the example that you said this is a team that they're rebuilding and we are trying to rebuild you're trying to impact influence the Shaquille Griffin's of the world. You're trying to show them how to do things. And if Earl Thomas is one of your leaders, but but on the other side to Dan, I I do believe that the players understand what Earls doing he's very frustrated because they know his reputation, they know his character. And I just think simply Pete Carroll is wrong for this. You know for him not to give Earl Thomas somewhat of an extension, but yet you gave Kam chancellor extension when his neck when he when his neck problems. You know, I I just don't get it. I I just I don't understand. It makes absolutely no sense to me. Why would you give it? No, no, nothing against Kam chancellor, it sad. When guys career ends due to an injury. But you're right. You know, you have a salary cap. You have to be smart with where you're putting your money in an injured guy over a twenty nine year old top safety in the league. Just doesn't make a ton of sense to me. But with. Earl Thomas, here's one thing where I do respect him in this whole thing. He doesn't dog it on a Sunday. I mean, he is playing at you've said he'd is best safety and football Rodney. There's no doubt about at least to the start of this season. Federal Thomas is the best safety and football. You break down the film. I mean is he playing at the highest level? You've seen apply out of me. Because I don't know if you could play any better than the ways played, well, I mean, I wouldn't take it that far. I mean, he he he picked off a pass. He got a tip, and you know, he recovering. He recovered a recovered fumble. He's he's playing well, he's playing his normal. Earl Thomas self you know, what I'm saying. But he's always constantly around the ball. He's having fun. And he's playing very loose. The one thing I I do see on tape is he's avoid like tat likes not tackles. But piles because he's like a, I'm smart. I'm not a I'm not gonna go up in there for guy has them. I'm not going to go up in there and give them that extra hit, which is a smart thing to do because he's trying to preserve his body. So he can reach free agency. But for me, if I'm Pete Carroll if he's not gonna be there beyond this year. Why even keep a man? Trade 'em away. Get something form and move forward. I mean, Earl Thomas is a great defensive player. But he's not the difference between you getting in the playoffs. I don't believe and not getting in the playoffs. I believe that comes from offense aside. It is that they were only offered a second round pick by the Dallas Cowboys just like three weeks ago Rodney, and they turned it down. This is a rebuilding team. That doesn't understand the rebuilding. This is a team that doesn't get that. They have to bring in young talent that they are lacking in talent. And they're not better than the Rams are not even in the same. The Senate is a Rams they will not be a Super Bowl contending team. Everybody else understands it you take the draft pick, and John Schneider has to be up there as well. Because John Schneider. The GM gets all the credit in the world for getting guys like Richard Sherman in the fifth round Kam chancellor late in the draft. You know, Russell Wilson's a third round pick Doug Baldwin guys like that. But they're drafts over the last four years or so Rodney have been atrocious. And I think you start to look at that organization. How much more leeway give Pete Carroll because I'll tell you what this sheen on p Carroll is. Wearing off the guy is not going to be held in the same esteem because every year that goes by so your father from when he won the Super Bowl, Rodney, we'll tell you this. If they continue to win it's is easily. It's easy to overlook it. Just like if Earl Thomas what he's doing. It's easy to overlook it because he's making plays. But I'm telling you when it starts to turn and they start losing. Yeah. It was fine and dandy when they beat the Cowboys who let's face it. They're not a very good team. But once it starts turning Dan, it could be pretty ugly in that locker room. Absolutely. I agree. One hundred percent. And I think yeah. As the season goes on and Earl Thomas continues to sit out and pekao continues to really turn a blind eye toward it, it definitely could get ugly. But for Pete Carroll. I think that seat starts to warm up maybe not right now. But if this team misses the playoffs, I think starting next year that seat does start getting hotter and hotter. Speaking of hot seats. Well, Bill bell. Check will never be on a hot seat, rightfully so. But the craziness of the rumors that have now been confirmed by rob gronkowski himself that he in fact was on the verge. Of being traded to the lions what is going on. And why would Bill Bella check looked at trade? Rob gronkowski. We have to break. This one down next. It is the safety blitz alongside football.

"I'll tell you what he's playing great on Sundays. You may not be practicing much, but he is playing great on Sundays three interceptions. Apparently, there's no respect when a teams only paying ten million bucks. I love let's find out. What's going on in Seattle speed Carol loss control that team is too? Nice. Yellow little call him out to something they've softy maller. Afternoons on nine fifty K JR in Seattle. Joining us. Soft come on, man. What is this with Earl Thomas? So he doesn't if he has a cold. He doesn't practice if he breaks his pinky nail practice. Doc. Can you imagine getting caught in Newark NBC sports radio meeting and saying, yeah, I gotta headache. I'm gonna stay home actually do every single week. Let you get away with it. And still do your show. Exactly. It's unbelievable. He does it. And he still gets the plan. Sundays is Pete Carroll being a little too lenient here. I don't know what's happening behind the scenes. That's the problem. I know he's being fined at least they think he's being fine. Because Earl Thomas said on Sunday, he expects to find. But I don't know. I mean, honestly, what is p Carol supposed to do bench the guy? He's the best safety. They have. He's the best safety in the NFL. If he's not playing on Sunday that severely impacts their chances of winning football game. I think he's in kind of a rock and a hard place, Dan, honestly because on one hand, you would say yes bench the guy. It's ridiculous insubordination at sending a terrible message in a bad pressure inside the locker room, but on the other hand if your bench guy, you're severely again killing your chances of winning a football game. And right now Earl Thomas is playing his ass off. So it's just a really bad situation. And honestly one that the Seahawks never ever ever should have put themselves in. Now, look, I'm sure there's a unified front by the players. Everything's cool. No, one cares. Raw behind Earl is that the message you're getting out of that locker room that it's not a big deal because the way I look at it soft. He is everybody else is out there practicing hard, right? And they're practicing hard and getting ready to plan a weekend. Earl has a little cold. He's not gonna show up and he still gets to play Sunday's. It's a class system in that locker room under the impression that you get soft. The people seem cool that yes, yes, they do that. I've talked to guys on the record. I've talked to guys off the record about it. And you know, they said it about Richard Sherman. They said the same thing about Kam chancellor, they said the same thing about Doug Baldwin same thing about other players that, you know, Richard being Richard or Cambian Cam or Earl Earl and we we've heard that now for five six years in Seattle. So I just think when you're a guy like Thomas, and you've got the credibility in the locker room that Earl Thomas has you can get away with a lot in. Frankly, there's a lot of guys in that locker room that aren't happy. With the direction of the franchise and aren't happy with the direction of the coaching staff and aren't thrilled with what the front office has been doing lately. So there almost seems to be this kind of us against them. And in some ways now with everybody else say that with a few players in that locker room, and those guys are definitely siding with Earl Thomas because Dan, you know, as well as I the one thing players don't want to do is step on somebody else's financial situation. Right. May never know if they may be in the exact same situation that guy is in Earl Thomas, Richard Sherman, Kam chancellor, Doug, Baldwin, right? Russell Wilson Bobby Wagner, guys, all you're kind of allowed to do their own thing. Because if you're one of those guys you never know when you might be in that same spot. So I I do think for the most part the players in that locker room. Do not have a major Broadway us nine fifty K JR in Seattle's Dave softy maller. Joining us going deep. Dan, Schwartzman, NBC sports radio. Here's how I view it and your buddy cliff, April who retired when right to your station. I told you this. Yeah. So here's the thing. We know p Carol screwed himself big time in terms of respect with that play. Call and it's Super Bowl and cliff April came out and others. Have command said that after that it really kind of changed? How things were is Pete Carroll being this lenient at least publicly with Earl Thomas because he's trying to win back respect from the players potentially. Is that possible? No. I don't think he needs to Dan. Because most of those guys that would have potentially, quote unquote, turned on Pete Carroll are no longer here. I mean, you got Bobby you got K J. You got Russell you got Doug Baldwin. You got Earl Thomas. I mean that really is it for the most part from that Super Bowl champion team. And the team that lost in New England. All these other guys are for the most part fairly new in. Most of them are watching Russell Wilson play in the Super Bowl when they were in high school or college for crying out loud. So I don't think Pete Carroll needs to kind of win back anything. Anybody because the guy he would've maybe add to win back some respect from. They're all gone either. Either retired be they had to walk away due to injury or see they were cut or did they were traded. So I don't think that's even a factor right now anymore. This is a brand new locker room, dude. I walked into that locker room. And I was there this afternoon. I honestly don't recognize seventy five percent of the guys in that locker room while those older veterans. Oh, recognize you after you lost the manager pounds. Yeah. They know what a stat. I am come on. A softy? Here's the thing though is P Carolina hot seat. Should he be? I don't think he should be yet. But I think he will be things go haywire this year, and they roll out of five and eleven or a six and ten type season. I think at that point next year. The heat really starts to get turned up. I mean, these guys won a championship regard six they went to the playoffs five years in a row, and they developed some of the greatest players in franchise history. They deserve a little bit of slack. Okay. There's no doubt about that. I know that Jim fossil not Jim fossil Tom Coughlin had what four straight years or five straight years not making the playoffs after he won his life Super Bowl. So these guys when they win they build up a little equity. I mean, look how long yarn Harbaugh it has been writing that last championship in two thousand twelve for God's sakes. How many how many playoff games of the ravens won since they beat the Niners in New Orleans when the lights went out for God's sakes, one two with the most. So these guys that win, and they bring titles to cities that are desperate for them. Like seattle. I think they do deserve some equity, and you know, some some slack. But if this thing falls apart this year, I think the heat really gets turned up next season that habit. The callers you get the fans as a patient or are they in the same boat as you are in terms of not turning the heat up yet or are they turning? Yeah. I think I think the left you've got your your your faction of the fan base that you know, it's either winner get the hell out, obviously. And they're a little nuts. You know? Maybe you know, they got they got a couple of screws loose or whatever. But that's fine. I love it. I love the fact that fans are that passionate to have that kind of take on it. But I think most bands in Seattle realized that AP Caroline, John Schneider. Together have been the best thing in this franchises history. We were starving for a championship from nineteen seventy nine the two thousand thirteen we waited and waited and waited and these guys delivered a championship in two thousand thirteen in that asking of the Broncos and in New York, so yeah, I think I think most fans are giving them a little bit of rope. But not forever. No way is John Schneider getting himself on a hot seat. I feel bad for us. Wilson. Look at that offensive line on what John on the hot seat because they're the same person. They really are. I mean, they they operate in to sit and go back to the Seahawks. Dan, had those great drafts two thousand ten to two thousand twelve go back and do yourself a favor and look at the two thousand thirteen two thousand fourteen and two thousand fifteen drafts. There's nobody left from the two thousand thirteen draft. There's one guy I believe wet from the two thousand fourteen draft and two guys left from the two thousand fifteen draft. So they made a lot of mistakes, the Percy Harbin trade was a disaster that Jimmy Graham trade was a disaster. The drafting of Kristen Michael in the second round when you had no first round pick. That year was a disaster. The Maliki McDowell so trading down for him last year and taking him in the second round was an absolute disaster that cost you a second round pick for him. And also cost you a second round draft pick that you had to trade to get Sheldon Richardson to make up for McDowell. He takes off after one year when you go nine and seven so the. Domino's of that deal and the missteps on draft day. Are the exact reason why the hawks are where they're at right now. So yeah, you're going to criticize Pete you have to criticize John. All right. Well, I have you here. I I gotta get the two other things here. First of all in our lifetime. You guys are on this national radio. Softly softly for you time. All right. I don't want to be movable. We listen. We move breaks for you softy? Bring this up as you should. I'm forty years old. You're not much older than me. Okay. Look, we're we're we're young, okay. In our lifetimes. That's probably another fifty years. Whatever it is are the Mariners never make the playoffs. Seriously. It's getting bad. Well, getting bad. They've got the longest playoff drought in sports. Seventeen years. Watch time. The Mariners made the playoffs. I was twenty eight years old. I just turned forty five. Okay. Unbelievable. I mean think about what was going on in two thousand one in your life. I mean the last time the playoffs was the last playoff game. They played was a month after nine eleven unborn. Incredible being in New York for the Yankees series in two thousand one literally walking through the rubble, for God's sakes of the World Trade Center towers, so that's how long it's been. I I mean, I just remember sitting there in two thousand one after they won a hundred sixteen games thinking that. All right. This franchise has arrived. Right. They've got a great farm system. They got a great manager Lou Pinella, and they've got a great stadium. The fans are sell this place outright and left their Chiro thousand fans and night. And they've completely falling apart sentence that it's it's it's an absolute disaster. And I frankly was in a good mood until you brought that up. So thank you. Thank you for ruining my evening. It's not a Friday. Coming on your show anyway. So no different. You got to take a shower, right? Exactly. Seriously. But like what is going on with that is terrible farm system. But that's terrible farm system. I mean, part of the the biggest chunk of the last seventeen years they were run by an absentee owner Hiroshi Yamauchi who got his soul passed away a couple years ago. He's the guy that started Nintendo, and he bought the Mariners as a favor to the city and the nineties when they were up for sale and kept them in Seattle and got Safeco field built and did some phenomenal things. But he never went to a game. I mean, imagine that imagine how owned by our country owner who has never been to one baseball game. The watching everyone never once never went to one game and never came over here. And watch one game. I'm sure he watched them on TV. I'm sure he called his body. Howard Lincoln who represented office Nintendo interest in the states. But he never went to a game. And that hurt this organization. I'm a firm, believer and odor here. Man. That's why the Seahawks are going to be just fine. No matter what happens this year. No matter what happens next year as long as Paul Allen is the owner of this football team. The Seahawks will be just fine ever since he took them over in late nineties their longest playoff drought outside of his first three or four years is the owner was two years. Okay. They Jim Mora twenty four million dollars not to coach this football team badly. The Pete Carroll. So they're fine with Paul Allen. The Mariners now represented by John Stanton. And I don't know what to make of this guy. I mean, frankly, I want to see an owner who gets pissed off the wants to be a literally punch a hole through a wall. When his team loses ballgames, and I'll tell you what else would drive me nuts. If I were an owner. Have you heard about what Safeco field looks like when the Blue Jays come to town. It's unbelievable. It looks like candidate home series forty thousand twenty thousand blue Jay fans taking over that stadium. That's up drives me nuts in a the odor of the mystery twenty thousand Bluejays fans in the stands. I am calling freaking staff meeting that night before anybody's drives home to find out. How the hell we can avoid that from ever happening. All right software. We have one minute. I have to throw this in your in your I like to get your blood gun, I friend. It's good for your weight loss. Right.

I mean, honestly, what is Pete Carroll supposed to do bench the guy? He's the best safety. They have. He's the best safety in the NFL. If he's not playing on Sunday that severely impacts their chances of winning football game. I think he's in kind of a rock and a hard place, Dan, honestly because on one hand, you would say yes bench the guy. It's ridiculous insubordination at sending a terrible message in a bad precedent inside the locker room, but on the other hand if your bench the guy you're severely again killing your chances of winning a football game. And right now Earl Thomas is playing his ass off. So it's just a really bad situation. And honestly one at the Seahawks never ever ever should've put themselves in. Now, look, I'm sure there's a unified front by the players. Everything's cool. No, one cares. All behind Earl is that the message you're getting out of that locker room that it's not a big deal because the way I look at it. Soft is everybody else is out there practicing hard, right? And they're practicing hard and getting ready to plan a weekend. Earl has a little cold. He's not gonna show up and he still gets to play Sunday's. It's a class system in that locker room under the impression that you get the people seem cool that yes, yes, they do that. I've talked to guys on the record. I've talked to guys off the record about it. And you know, they said it about Richard Sherman. They said the same thing about Cam chancellor. They said the same thing about Doug Baldwin same thing about other players that you know, Richard being Richard or Cambian Cam or Earl being rural. And we we've heard that now for five six years in Seattle. So I just think when you're a guy like Thomas, and you've got the credibility in the locker room that Earl Thomas as you can get away with a lot. And frankly, there's a lot of guys in that locker room that aren't happy. With the direction of the franchise and aren't happy with the direction of the coaching staff and aren't thrilled with what the front office has been doing lately. So there almost seems to be this kind of us against them and Towery in some ways not with everybody else say, but with a few players in that locker room, and those guys are definitely siding with Earl Thomas because Dan, you know, as well as I the one thing players don't want to do is step on somebody else's financial situation. Right. And they never know if they may be in the exact same situation that guy is in Earl Thomas, Richard Sherman, Kam chancellor, Doug, Baldwin, right? Russell Wilson Bobby Wagner, guys all you're allowed to do their own thing. Because if you're one of those guys you never know when you might be in that same spot. So I do think for the most part of the players in that locker room. Do not have a major Broadway us nine fifty K JR Seattle's Dave softy maller. Joining us going deep. Dan, Schwartzman, NBC sports radio. Here's how I view it and your buddy cliff, April who retired when right to your station. Moore told you this. Yeah. So here's the thing. We know Pete Carroll screwed himself big time in terms of respect with a idiotic play. Call and it's Super Bowl and cliff April came out and others. Have command said that after that it really kind of changed? How things were is p Carol being this lenient at least publicly with Earl Thomas because he's trying to win back respect from the players potentially that possible. No, I don't think he needs to Dan. Because most of those guys that would have potentially quote unquote, turned on P Carol are no longer here. I mean, you got Bobby got K J. You got Russell you got Doug Baldwin. You gotta Earl Thomas. I mean that really is it for the most part from that Super Bowl champion team. And a team that lost in New England. All these other guys are for the most part fairly new in. Most of them are watching Russell Wilson play in the Super Bowl when they were in high school or college for crying out loud. So I don't think Pete Carroll needs to kind of win back anything with any. Because the guys he would've maybe add to win back some respect from. They're all gone either. Either retired be they had to walk away duty injury or see they were caught or they were traded. So I don't think that's even a factor right now anymore. This is a brand new locker room, dude. I walked into that locker room. And I was there this afternoon. I honestly don't recognize seventy five percent of the guys in that locker room. Well, those older veterans don't recognize you after you lost manager pounds. Yeah. I am come on. A softy? Here's the thing though is peak. Carolina hotseat should he be? I don't think he should be yet. But I think he will be things go haywire this year, and they roll out of five at eleven or a six and ten type season. I think at that point next year. The heat really starts to get turned up. I mean, look these guys wanna championship regards six they went to the playoffs five years in a row, and they developed some of the greatest players in franchise history. They deserve a little bit of slack. Okay. There's no doubt about that. You know, I know that Jim fossil are not Jim fossil Tom Coughlin had what four straight years or five straight years. I'm not making the playoffs. Yeah. For his life Super Bowl. So these guys when they win they build up a little equity. I mean, look how long's yarn by it has been writing that last championship in two thousand twelve for God's sakes. How many how many playoff games of the ravens won since they beat the Niners in New Orleans when the white Cornell for God's sakes, one two with the most. So these guys that win, and they bring titles to cities that are desperate for them. Like seattle. I think they do deserve some equity, and you know, some some slack. But if this thing falls apart this year, I think the heat really gets turned up next season. All right, but habit. The callers you get the fans as a patient or are they in the same boat as you are in terms of not during the heat up yet or are they turning? Yeah. I think I think the I mean, look, you've got your your your faction of the fan base that you know, it's either winner get the hell out, obviously. And they're a little nuts. You know, maybe, you know, low they got they got a couple of screws loose or whatever. But that's fine. I love it. I I love the fact that fans are that passionate to have that kind of take on it. But I think most bands in Seattle realized that AP Caroline, John Schneider. Together have been the best thing in this franchise history. We were starving for a championship from nineteen seventy nine to two thousand thirteen we waited and waited and waited and these guys delivered a championship in two thousand thirteen in that asking of the Broncos and in New York, so yeah, I think I think most fans are giving them a little bit of rope. But not forever. No way. John Schneider getting himself on a hot seat. I feel bad for us. Wilson. Look at that offensive line. Quijano Mahachi because they're the same person. They really are. I mean, they they operate in unison and go back to the Seahawks. Dan, had those great drafts two thousand ten to two thousand twelve go back and do yourself a favor. Look at the two thousand thirteen two thousand fourteen and two thousand fifteen drafts. There's nobody lap from the two thousand thirteen draft. There's one guy I believe wet from the two thousand fourteen draft and two guys left from the two thousand fifteen draft. So they made a lot of mistakes. Horsey Arben trade was a disaster that Jimmy Graham trade was a disaster. The drafting of Kristen Michael in the second round when you had no first round pick. That year was a disaster. The Maliki McDowell grading down for him last year and taking him in the second round was an absolute disaster that cost you a second round pick for him and also costs you a second round draft pick you had to trade to get Sheldon Richardson to make up from a leak McDowell. He takes off after one year when you go nine and seven so the Domino's of that deal and the missteps on draft day are the exact reason why the hawks or where they're at right now. So yeah, if you're going to criticize criticize, John all, right? Well, I have you here. I I gotta get the two other things here first of all in our life. You guys are on us national radio clock. Softly saw for you. We have time. All right. I don't want to be movable. We listen we moved breaks for you softy softy? I have to bring this up as you should. I'm forty years old. You're not much older than me. Okay. Look it. We're we're we're young, okay. In our lifetimes. That's probably another fifty years. Whatever it is are the Mariners never make the playoffs. Seriously. I it's getting bad. Well, getting bad. They've got the longest playoff drought in sports. Seventeen years. Time. The Mariners made the playoffs. I was twenty eight years old. I just turned forty five. Okay. Unbelievable. I mean think about what was going on in two thousand one in your life. I mean the last time the playoffs was the last playoff game. They played was a month after nine eleven unbelievable. Incredible being in New York for the Accu series in two thousand one literally walking through the rubble, for God's sakes. So of the World Trade Center towers, so that's how long it's been. I mean, I just remember sitting there in two thousand one after one hundred sixteen games thinking that. All right. This franchise has arrived. Right. They've got a great farm system. They got a great manager Lou Pinella, and they got a great stadium. The fans are selling this place outright and left there. Chiro thousand fans and night. And they've completely falling apart sentence that it's it's it's an absolute disaster. And I frankly was in a good mood until you brought that up. So thank you. Thank you for warning my evening Friday. Coming on your show anyway. So no different. You gotta take a shower, right? Seriously. But like what is going on with that is bearable? Terrible farm system, but that's terrible farm system. I mean, part of the the biggest chunk of the last seventeen years they were run by an absentee owner Rocio mousy who God rest his soul passed away couple years ago. He's the guy that started Nintendo and bought the Mariners as a favor to the city in the nineties when they were up for sale and kept them in Seattle and got Safeco field built and did some phenomenal things. But he never went to a game. I mean, imagine that imagine how owned by our country owner who has never been to one baseball game to watch never one. Never once never went to one game and never came over here. And watch one game. I'm sure he watched them on TV. I'm sure he called his body. Howard Lincoln who represented office Nintendo interests in the states. Pretty never went to a game..

"I still yeah forgot about the april chancellor thing yeah but i'm not doubt in any team with russell wilson bobby wagner true it's going to end earl thomas tampa bay all right so they worked on their offense of line defensive line in the off season but for me the defense in general was a complete tragedy last year it was so awful like they were dead last in devi and yards per play and sacks i mean in almost every category they were in the bottom of the league and on offense you saw james winston and and the shaun jackson connection that was so highly touted and everybody at such high expectations for it really never panned out but i wanna know on that defense have they done enough to improve it in general i mean not that killed them last year yes i think when i look at the state their roster was in december and the state it's in now it might be the most improved in the nfl that front seven is almost as loaded as the eagles it is incredible what they've done a couple eagles on it now they bring in vinny curry jason pierre paul vida mitch on rhyme bo allen and they already had pro bowlers gerald mccoy levada david they have a good middle linebacker quad alexander they're loaded up front in the secondary has question marks throughout it but i do think that they've brought in the talent couple of second round picks at cornerback this year a fourth round pick it safety they've added some some young blood there and it shows with such glaring need in the secondary how they feel about vida as as a player and what he can bring considering the depth that they already had through free agency and having journal mccoy there so it's obviously better is it enough to make me feel better about their chance on the south note.
