Those five guys all on a Zoom together, just cracking jokes. I'm ready. So there you go. On this podcast, it's the second annual My Guy Fantasy Draft. Craig Horlbeck, Danny Kelly, Danny Heifetz from The Ringer Fantasy Show. We're going to come on, and we're going to talk about all of our guys that we like, dislike, that we're afraid of in the fantasy football season, and then went to Cleveland to find Garrett Bush, who is kind of a big guy there. I got to say, he's kind of a guy. He's going to tell us what to expect from the Browns, who are the most confusing 2023 team. A lot of that has to do with Deshaun Watson, which Deshaun Watson, are we going to get? How do we feel about Deshaun Watson in 2023, just in general? And where is Cleveland Sports going? What's happened to them this century? All the good, all the bad. And he's going to lay all of it out for us. So this is a really good podcast. Can't wait. First, our friends from Pro Chip. All right, it's the second annual My Guy Fantasy Draft. Our Ringer Fantasy Show guys are here. Danny Kelly, Danny Heifetz, Craig Horlbeck, my rewatchables producer, always nice when he pops on the BS. So we did this last year. We didn't win any awards, but sometimes you don't need to win awards. Sometimes when something's great, when it works, you just kind of know it, and we're going to run it back. Heifetz, you want to explain what this gimmick is? Yeah, it's you text us a bunch of ridiculous categories and then we kind of build an entire show, right? No, it's fun, though. It's just like it's a draft, but it's not a draft. And then it's it's vibes. It's a vibes episode. Yeah, we can agree on this. The concept is like you go into a fantasy draft. We all have the same kind of guides, same kind of rankings, but it doesn't capture the love. It doesn't capture the irrational. I just believe in this guy. It doesn't capture Craig thinking that that Pickens is going to end up being Justin Jefferson this year. There's just some things he already is or fear PTSD from bad draft picks from the past. I actually listened to a lot of the pod we did last year, and it was pretty funny hearing some of the guys we were like completely enamored by that ended up being bust. And then there were some other ones that I was surprised by the accuracy of it. Danny Kelly, can you ever be right in a fantasy draft? Can you ever go perfect? One in a million. It's like picking stocks, you know, if you get one good one, then you're set. Last year, mine was Romandre. I listened to our show last year, too. Feel like I nailed that one. Didn't get some other ones right. So that's, you know, we don't have to re litigate those. But Romandre, I'm calling that one. The take I was proudest of last year was fearing Cooper Cup after the year that he had just not liking the scent of something. This is veteran experience. I've been doing fantasy, I think since like 1989, 1990, something like that. All right. So I'm going to rip through the categories here. And then we're going to go at them one at a time. This is not, it's a draft, but it's not a draft because if we all have the same guy for a category of two of us have it, it's fine. We're okay. Um, the categories are my one true love, the guy that we just liked the most, my crazy pills guy. Do you want to explain the crazy pills thing, Craig? Uh, I think it could go either way, right? It's either you feel like you're taking crazy pills because nobody else likes the guy you like, or it's the other way around where you feel like you're taking crazy pills because everybody likes this guy and you don't understand it at all. So there's a little variance on that one. You can go either way. There's the my I absolutely hate myself for doing this guy, which seems to happen over and over again in fantasy where you go in there, drive like, well, I'm not going to end up with Russell Wilson. Uh, that was the example I used last year. It could be the example you use again this year. I'm not even gonna spend a dollar for Russell Wilson. Then it gets to the 17th round. If you're in a booger eater draft or, you know, you have $5 left for five guys and it's like, ah, Russell Wilson, Sean Payton, and all of a sudden you have Russell Wilson and you have no idea how he ended up on your team. So that is the, my absolutely hate myself for doing this guy. Uh, there's the, I'm going to add this category. It's a little sub category. The I'm staying away from that whole team team. There's teams where you're just like, I'm out, I'm just blind out. I don't want one person from that team. I'll see, we'll see if we agree on that team. Then we have the, my shameless Homer pick guy. That's going to be really, I mean, Craig, you don't even have to go. Uh, although there could be their tickets like plus 500, but I think we know pick is going to be there. There's the, my, I wouldn't take him even if he was free guy. So you're putting them on your D and D do not draft list. I had McCaffrey as my guy for this last year, which looked brilliant for about six weeks. Then he got traded a machine of an offense. We have the, my, that 2022 booty call isn't happening again guy, which is a new category for this year. This is the, you stumbled into somebody in the free agent auction, maybe in November, you wrote them for a couple of weeks, some fond memories, but you know, as a one night stand or, you know, as a three week stand and you're not going back, then we have the, this is a classic one. The somebody's got to get points on that team guy. We just look at all the teams and like, well, I don't know. Everybody scores 300 someone's catching passes on that team. Someone's rushing for 970 yards. There is the, my sorry, I'm sorry. That's too rich for my blood guy where you look at the draft guide and you see some of the salaries next to the guys. Then you go wait at $47. So Najee Harris was my guy for this last year. And I was proud of that one. There's the, my $1 QB guy. You're not, he's not going to make it break a draft, but you're also kind of secretly stashing away in your head. And we all have our $1 QB. There is the, my I'd be afraid to look on Tuesday and see the red flag guy, which I've added this year. I didn't even tell you about this category. You take the guy and it's going great. Eloy Jimenez is the ultimate baseball example of this. It's going great. You're feeling awesome. And then you go on there on a Tuesday and there's the red flag with the yellow box that there's news. And you're just like, Oh no. Oh God, what happened? And there's certain guys who just, it happens every year. A cousin of that, the, my, I know there's a 99 % chance he's getting hurt again, but God damn, I can't resist this guy guy. Then we have the, my Cooper cup. It's a year after the year guy. So I named this category after Cooper cup. So who is it this year? They had their year last year. Don't do it again. Don't get sucked in five more. The my, I just want everyone on that offense. I don't care guy. The my it's a year too early, but fuck it guy. The my missionary position. We've all had him guy. The my, I fell for the preseason hype guy. And then finally the, my I'd never root for an injury, but he is one injury away. That guy. All right. So we're going to start with my one true love. We're going to go and we're going to go on one, two, three, four on the zoom. And then for the second round, then the second guy will go, Danny Kelly, you're up. All right. My one true love. Who is it? I got to go with Tony Pollard for the Cowboys. I'm irrationally in love with this guy. I've been saying it. I think there's nothing you can say. It convinced me that he's not the best player in the NFL. Like, like just pound for pound, the best player in the NFL. Um, you know, last year he finished as the RV seven this year. He's going to be playing, I think more snaps, getting way more opportunities. If he can get up to like the same level of opportunities as Ekeler and CMC, you know, cause he's in that style of runner. I think this guy could finish as a top three running back in the NFL. And so I am, I'm just like full as a gentleman said, full bloom in love with Tony Pollard. I just can't, I can't help it. So in the ringer fantasy guide, he's 13th right now and he's gone for $42 in auction. So you think that's low? Yeah, I would, I would, I actually had Pollard too. Wow. We all have Pollard. Wait, did you too, Krik? I'm scared now. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, that's, well, that's, that's, this is a sign that, yeah, this is a terrible sign, but I just, I mean, just to pile on to DK stats here, Zeke had 12 touchdowns last year and Nick and Tony Pollard was a top 10 running back. Like what else do you need to hear? Like every time Tony Pollard was on the field, he was the best running back in the league. And now Zeke's gone. Like I rest my case. This is the pregame show where they all pick the same team to win a football and then that team loses. So you should probably stay away from Tony Pollard. Wait. So all three of you had Tony Pollard for this? Yeah, I can give you some. We did not discuss this before coming on. I didn't expect that. Oh, my God. Talk about groups and Jesus. You know, it's, you know, what sucks about this is that means when I have my big auction draft in a week and all my friends are going to be listening to this. And when Tony Pollard comes up, I'm not going to get them because they're all going to bid them up for $57 if I want to get them. Well, Bill's like, oh my God. Well, here's the argument. Rich Rebar, who works for Warren Sharpe, he's at Sharpe Football Analysis and he is a really good comp, which is basically Melvin Gordon was playing ahead of Austin Eckler for years. And everyone's begging for Austin Eckler to get the job. And then Austin Eckler finally got the job and the charges got rid of Melvin Gordon. And then Austin Eckler still wasn't really a first round pick. And we talked ourselves out of it. We hemmed it on. This is Tony Pollard again. It's like Zeke is finally after five years out of Dallas. And we're like, yeah, any point you get Tony Pollard, that's actually crazy. Like, honestly, you could get him for forty five bucks. Austin Eckler is going to go for 60. Tony Pollard would probably just be better than Austin Eckler this year. I kind of genuinely mean this. Tony Pollard should maybe be the first pick in fantasy football. Right? You can convince me. Kind of genuinely. Well, he does have a great offensive line. There are going to be a couple of games against bad teams where he, you know, you have him on Thanksgiving or something and he puts up the four touchdown hundred and eighty yard game. I can see it. So I guess I'm up then because you guys all agreed. You can have anybody you want. My one true love this year, Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles, who I also like for MVP. So. Last year, he missed two games and they also blew out what what was a D .K. like seven, eight team, seven, eight games where they just like in the fourth quarter, they didn't even really have to play offense. They're just kind of running out of the string. Yeah, I don't think their defense is going to be as good this year. Sheila Kapadia on the on the NFL show has been talking about this. I think it's to be better than he thinks, but it won't be as good on it. And their schedule is tougher. But, you know, is it possible that he's like a four thousand one thousand guy with some sort of combination of 40 to D like everyone agrees they have the best offensive line in the league. Everyone agrees the one to A .J. Brown, Devonta Smith punch is way up there. And I'm saying like Schrager on TV this week was saying Devonta Smith, this is the year he jumps up to the chase class. So we have that with Dallas Goddard, who everybody thinks is the best all around tight end in the league, the guy who actually blocks and plays three downs, running backs, whatever. Put anyone behind there and they'll gain 80 yards. And then he's going to get a lot of the goal line carries. I think he's my top QB this year. I think I would take him before everybody else. So I don't even think it's that controversial. What do you think of that one? He is, I think you're right. I think the key point you have there is that he barely played in the fourth quarter last year. That's the key thing. He was already in a per game basis. He was the best quarterback in fantasy last year and he barely played the fourth quarter. Yeah. So you could argue he hasn't even reached the ceiling yet. He's our number one guy on the guide right now, I believe. Shameless plug for fantasyfootball .300 .com. He's our 21st player. We have like all our rankings there. And yeah, he has the highest floor and the highest ceiling. My favorite stat about Jalen Hurts, other than 18 rushing touchdowns in 18 games last year, Jalen Hurts had more games over 30 points than under 20. That's everything you want in a quarterback. Well, so he's number one in our guide, but I still feel like in a draft, Mahomes is going over him because of the Mahomes. It's just the most fun to have Mahomes. The R. And I actually think that's a little nuts this year. DK, Hurts is I think either 12 to 1 or 11 to 1 on FanDuel for MVP. And I think those odds are the most out of whack of all the MVP odds, because that's, if you're going to say the MVP is going to come from an awesome team, they're probably one of the five teams that has a chance to go 13 and 4, 14 and 3, something like that. He, they have the most talent on offense, I think, of any team that's going to be in the MVP conversation and we've seen him get better every year. So why is he 11 to 1, 12 to 1? Shouldn't he be like 6 to 1, 7 to 1? Shouldn't it be where Josh Allen is? I don't, is it just because of the previous like impressions that he was a, what was he a third round pick or second round pick and maybe hold on to that for too long? Or maybe it's just because he's surrounded by such a good team. I don't know. But yeah, like you said, he's improved pretty much every season he's been playing, even going back to college. You know, from everything that we've heard, he is maniacal about like working and leadership and just all the things, all the intangibles. And then, of course, you know, if he takes a jump as a passer this year, you know, that's going to be huge for him because he's already like one of the best running quarterbacks. He's double digit rushing touchdowns in the last two years. You know, everything about him screams just, you know, like the face of the franchise season. He's everything they want. And so I could see it like from a narrative point of view, for sure. It reminds me of what you used to have with Russell Wilson when he was alive.

A highlight from "Tory Lanez Gets 10 Years ..Wayne Brady Comes Out As Pansexual..Ciara & Russell Having 3rd Child....
"Welcome to another edition of Convo Over Cigars. This is the weekly recap. Let's talk about what happened this week. The big trending news stories. Rapper Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison. This was on Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court for the shooting of Meg Thee Stallion. This was back in 2020. Last December, Tory Lanez was found guilty of shooting Megan in party at the home of celebrity Kylie Jenner. Lanez spoke for several minutes at Tuesday's sentencing. He described the victim as his friend, someone I still care about dearly to this day regardless of her feelings about him. He talked about bonding with Meg Thee Stallion over the loss of their mothers. Meg Thee Stallion did not appear in court for the sentencing, but she did issue a written statement saying for once the defendant must be forced to face the full consequences of his heinous actions and face justice. When the shooting occurred, Meg and Lanez left the party along with a friend of hers and his bodyguard. The artist got into an argument in the car. Tory began shooting at her feet when she got out of the vehicle. She was hospitalized and Wayne Brady is opening up about his sexuality revealing to people that he is actually pansexual. The Let's Make a Deal host said that he initially couldn't settle on a label for his sexuality. Nothing that bisexuality could truly describe how he felt. Well basically he was saying that being bisexual that term did not truly describe how he felt. The 51 year old says he's bisexual with an open mind. To be clear pansexual is defined as being attracted to a person regardless of their sex or gender. So Wayne Brady to me has come out as gay. He's basically a gay man who says that he's pansexual. If you are attracted to both males and females technically you're bisexual. So just to be clear but good for him living his truth. I don't have anything to say about that. I think Wayne Brady is a talented guy. I like watching his shows that he hosts. I think he's a very gregarious very charismatic host but you know living his truth and that's what we're Superstar vocalist Sierra has announced that her and Denver Broncos hubby Russell Wilson are expecting their third child together and their fourth child all together. So this will be their third child together and their fourth child all together. The couple shared the exciting news via a video announcement on Instagram filmed by the NFL star on the couple's anniversary trip to Japan last month. The baby on the way joins three -year -old son I think his name is Nguyen and the daughter her name is Sienna Princess. She's six. Sierra is also mom to future Zaire. He is nine who she shares with the rapper Future. Now Neo is addressing comments that he made about gender identity and allowing children to interview released on August the 5th 2023. Neo initially raised eyebrows during an interview over the weekend with Gloria Velez on Vlad TV in which he said he was you know he had no issue with the LGBTQ community but he questioned gender identity. I just personally come from an era where a man was a man and a woman was a woman and that you know that's just how I rock there were just two genders you know and that's how it was now you can identify as a goldfish this is what he said if you feel like it I don't care that ain't my business it becomes my business when you try to make me play the game with you. Neo who has seven kids also spoke out about what he has seen as a change in regards to how parents raise their kids. I feel like parents have almost forgotten what the role of the parent is it's like okay if your little boy comes to you and says daddy I want to be a girl and you just let him rock with that he's five he said if you let this five -year -old decide to eat candy all day he's gonna do just that when did it become a good idea to let a five -year -old or six -year -old or even a twelve -year -old make a life -changing decision for themselves he cannot drive a car yet but he can decide his sex.

Sunny Hostin Discovers Black Quarterbacks
"Let me get back to the brain dead amongst us from the view, sunny hostin, and I want to actually play that clip because we have the clip now available. I want to play the clip of what she actually said. So you don't think I made it up. Roll the clip from sunny hostin. The only thing that would have made it better for me is, you know, finally we know that black quarterbacks can lead teams. And our smart enough to lead team. I would like to see I always knew that. We knew that. We knew that. But you know, it takes people a minute to catch up. How about some black owners? Some black owners. Cheryl Lee Ralph brought us to church with lift every voice and sing. I felt like I was watching Wakanda, actually. I was just like, this is amazing. But we still need more black owners. Well, first of all, Wakanda's not even a real place. And second of all, what does a black owner have to do with the team's success? Does it somehow make the team better because the person is black? You know, it's like me saying we need black we need more white defensive bags. So we could say that white people can run a defense. Shut up, woman. Also, the fact that we now know that black people can run a team, I just named y'all these quarterbacks. I mean, they say, we now know that black people can run a team because two people of African descent are in the Super Bowl. I mean, God, dang, they forgot about Russell Wilson. They forgot all about Russell whisky going to the going to the Super Bowl. I think Russell Wilson went to the Super Bowl a few times and probably one of the most winning his quarterbacks of his time. I mean, we can go down the list Cam Newton went to the Super Bowl as well. Young guy, unorthodox quarterback, because he was the part of the biggest quarterback I've ever seen. They can run. I mean, we can go down a list. You know, Colin Kaepernick sucked even though that's the person that they beloved. And there are so many other great quarterbacks that have played. And we talk about college football. I mean, there's a plethora of great quarterbacks that play in college football. The kid who just won the husband trophy. I think he's biracial. Caleb Williams, that kid is that kid is literally the only other person other than Patrick Mahomes that can gun that thing like that. But with the funny thing is in the spirit of saying we need black quarterbacks and black quarter we can do this. We kind of crap on the white quarterbacks that can actually run.

"You can say that about a lot of teams, but I just don't know what they're going to do a quarterback because I don't know who would want to go there and like if you're Russell Wilson, why would you want to go down to Tampa where they're kind of going to be decimated around you a little bit? And on top of that, you also have to follow Tom Brady's act, which, you know, probably won't work out. Well, I think Russell Wilson is probably in a vacuum, a better quarterback than Tom Brady at this point in time, but you're going to go down there with a worse team, probably finished like 9 and 8. And then everyone's going to just brag on you for not being Tom Brady. That's no fun. That is no fun. Yeah. A lot of these situations are interesting. I mean, if the bucks like at least you know that you could maybe possibly. I mean, you could try Trask, right? I mean, that's why you drafted them and you could say we have them on the roster for a reason. And we're rebuilding or whatever it is. I'm sure Bruce Arians would love that. After writing in his book that he hates rookie quarterbacks. Should that be a good time for him. But this entire situation is interesting. I mean, I think that the biggest loser here is probably the Panthers because all these other teams have a leash, right? Chris Ballard is really good at his job..

"I think that he can he can gain yards like Marshawn Lynch. She's a physical back and this is exciting. I think this is an offense that interestingly enough because let's take this all the way back to when Vic Fangio first got the job, his original offensive coordinator was rich scangarello who you and I both liked thought he did a good job there and had drew lock at like four and one before they left and they had Mike munchak there to teach the technical aspects of that outside zone offense. They abandoned it, they went full pat Shermer, but that offensive line was drafted and developed kind of as an outside zone offensive line. And so now you bring it back with Nathaniel Hackett. And you're combining those principles with the West Coast because he's going to still add a lot of West Coast. That was where his bread and butter was. And so I think you already have a lot of the inherent pieces. Run game pieces, so I think this was a really, you know, I think everything kind of works out nicely here. I mean, again, less than ten wins, I think, is a massive disappointment. You hate to put that on a new head coach and a quarterback who hasn't played there before, but I mean, this roster looks good. It does. It really does, well, let's go to the Seattle side of this where, you know, you mention it, we like the drew lock rich skan goel marriage better than the drew lock pat Shermer marriage, which really didn't last very long at all. So Locke, let's presume he's the starter, at least for 2022. Shane waldron's out there. It just seems like it gives him a chance. I think it's still unlikely he's a long-term starter, but you at least have a chance here. Maybe you can, you can get something out of this when it's all said and done. Well, I think one of the things that I'm kind of I kind of think is interesting is that when you looked at Jared Goff on the rams and that you've heard that comp with drew lock, which was that, you know, you kind of needed to do the same thing that Sean mcvay did for Jared Goff. He needed to be in his headset until the communication line cut off. You kind of had to you kind of had to read everything for him. You had to tell him what was going on. But once you did, it was okay. And you could kind of get where you needed to go. Waldron has seen what that's like, close up. He knows what that process is like. I think that and you hear in the reports today about how much John schnatter really liked drew lock, like I do think there was some mutual admiration there. And so you put that all together. And it's like, okay, I mean, you know, no one had any illusions of even with Russell Wilson, this team winning the NFC west, but did they bang around and win 6 games this year? Yeah, I don't know, right?.

"And then whatever happens happens. Let's just, let's just roll the dice. That'd be pretty sweet, right? Like 1.5. 1.5 like that. I like it except I don't like the logical part of that. I would say I will come there as long as I get uniform number three. And I'll play for veteran minimum. Just see if they'll do it. Or like 7, you want like John, like I want to unretire. Is John Elway's number retired? I'm sure it is. It must be. I can't remember another guy wearing 7 though. He must be just anyone have to follow through with it. Just see if they do it. Yeah, yeah, I mean, you just do ridiculous shit. But yeah, I mean, I could see that in again, this would really bum me out because I wrote that the era of the super team was dead. But let's say all of a sudden like rob good and Krause gear. Your boy Rob Gronkowski or any of these guys starts to be like, oh, this would be cool, but what's interesting about the Broncos is that I think they were pretty enamored with their receiving core when they had bad quarterbacks. And so I think this is going to be a moment where we're not only going to see what Jerry Judy is capable of, but courtland Sutton who they've been high on for such a long time and like, you know, just because the production isn't there, you know, it's something that we can't see, but I think it's extremely, you know, guy who probably is extremely valuable Tim Patrick. I mean, these guys are, you know, they got signed to extensions. They believe that they're really good. And if they can maximize if Russell Wilson makes them nearly as good as Denver's internal perception of them, then I think we've really got something here. Almost to the point where you don't need a ton of outside help from the, from the vanity from the vanity veteran superstar hunting world. You know, I really don't think, you know, an additional pass rusher would be nice. Every team needs that. We know that. Some help in their defensive interior, I think, especially given the way that division is going to shake out. But I don't think this roster needs a whole lot of help, even though they were probably now get it because players are going to want to go there. Yeah, I think you'd probably be looking at edge rush help. You could use another linebacker there. I mean, if you're going to play another cornerback, absolutely. Absolutely. So the other thing is to get the best out of Russell Wilson, you kind of want to rebuild what they had, yes, you want the legion of boom, but offensively what they had in the mid 2010s, which was sort of a Marshawn Lynch centric type of offense and then using some of the play action deep stuff off of that. Javonte Williams, I'm not going to say javonte Williams is Marshawn Lynch, but do you want to Williams is really good. And that offensive line is pretty good. And they have a chance to really be a team that can, I mean, they can kind of do what they want offensively if this whole thing clicks together here. I mean, that was the comp coming. I mean, you know, that was the, you know, whatever the NFL dot com scouting report, let's get clicks on this by comparing them to someone famous comp, but yeah, it was Marshawn Lynch, and I think a lot of people talked about that..

"But for the people who kind of want to jump on that for that, I'm not sure what you want to do. I mean, you're going to sit back and wait out the careers of Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert and then really build tour 2039 with this thing. Yeah, that's why they signed Nathaniel Hackett to that 31 year contract. Just to make sure that just to make sure that he was ready to capitalize at the end. Yeah, I mean, it's interesting. I think that the Broncos, Russell Wilson makes the Broncos a better overall team than the charger slightly, although Russell Wilson is not as good as Justin Herbert. I think both of those things can be true, right? Especially because and here's what really kind of sealed it for me is I think the Broncos not only made the best hire of the off season and Nathaniel hack it, but in a giro evere who was one of the true Fangio disciples, right? And so you basically get the same defense for like half off. You know, you don't have to keep Vic Fangio and you get a guy that's studied under him that was tight with Brandon staley, who probably should have gotten the rams defensive coordinator job after Brandon staley went to charges in the first place. So your defense stays really good. You're offense comes a long way. Plus you get Russell Wilson. I mean, this is at minimum a ten win team next year. And so you throw yourself into the mix. I mean the AFC west is going to have three playoff spots next year. I would be very surprised if they didn't have three playoff spots next year. Absolutely. And the other thing I'll say and you saw this with the rams last year, Denver's now kind of a destination. And yeah, if you offer the most money, you tend to lure free agents anyway, but this is now a place where you might be able to get some veterans who were not going to come to your place because they wanted a chance to take advantage of the end of their career and play for a Super Bowl. Von Miller sent some cryptic social media messages over the last couple of days and you kind of rolled your eyes because it's like, you're not going back to Denver to go 8 and 9. That's not going to happen, but now all of a sudden, that's a pretty good spot to land in. And maybe you do leave a little bit of money on the table. Maybe you're a little more flexible with the way you structure your deal in order to get in there. And be a part of that. It's a blue blood organization anyway. And yeah, I mean, you could, you could be the third best team in the division, but still grab that wild card spot, get into the tournament, you got a franchise quarterback and now things are getting pretty interesting. How crazy if I'm von Miller at this point, I've already made so much money. I would go to the Broncos and say, give me $500,000 in cash. Just hand it to me. And then, and then give me $2 million a sack..

"And that rhymes, I was gonna say game, but Matt dae had a terrible day sounds kind of fun to say, he missed an extra point. And then he had two kick-offs that went out of bounds. And it's rare to have even one kick off go out of balance, let alone two and one game and it got so bad. I literally joked my fiance watching with me, I'm like, does Matt gay owe money to the mafia? Does he have some weird side bet going on? I just think he really had a bad night, but I can't say enough how bizarre it is to watch an NFL game. And see the ball get kicked out of bounds. I kick-off is not once, but twice. It's like, wow. Wow. Is this high school football? What's happening here? Bizarre. Anyway, I walked away from Thursday night's game, I feel terrible. I feel terrible and terrified for Seattle. Russell Wilson's injury is a disaster for them. Their seasons ruined. I mean, I would be if Gino Smith can go on a run and then Russell comes back and they win from maybe maybe that will happen, but that feels like just wishful thinking. I think unfortunately, losing your Hall of Fame quarterback for 6 weeks when you really heavily rely on him to win. It's over. The sex season is over. They're going to miss the playoffs. It's going to be an ugly end of the year. And I feel bad for their fan base. And the rams, again, they're forward one, but it's a really ugly four in one. And maybe they're still figuring things out. They got a new quarterback like, I want to give them benefit of the doubt. But I'm cooling on the ramps. The more I watch, the more I'm like, oh, that defense ain't what it was. And Matthew Stafford's making mistakes and like context does matter and don't just look at their win loss record. Look at how they've won games. A lot of them have been ugly, a lot of them have had some bad mistakes and bad issues and like for example, Gino Smith were touched on a DK Metcalf and it was just terrible coverage about the ramps like the rams corner, after his name, young guy, in position to make a play, and he just doesn't make a play on the ball, and you're like, well, that's awful. And that's not good coverage. No offense to Gina Smith that shouldn't have been a touchdown. It's not like a amazing throw. It's just kind of a average lob to the end zone. And the rams corner just doesn't even make a play on the football. And you're like, oh, that's a horrible coverage. Bad coverage, some bad defense. Matthew Stafford's missing throws left and right to people who are open on third down and should be touched down. You're missing too many opportunities. And it's not like the rams can't clean it up. But I do have to acknowledge when I watch film of the rams. I'm like, a lot of missed opportunities. A lot of bad plays. A lot of ugly football. And I don't know, man, I just will see how far this rams team can go. They went all in on a Super Bowl. They traded for Matthew Stafford. They traded for Sony Michelle. They are trying to make a run, but if these mistakes don't get cleared up for the rams, they're going to come back to haunt them, and they are not going to be a Super Bowl team come the end of the year. Okay, let's shift New York. I want to talk about Zach Wilson. Last week against Tennessee jets rookie quarterback Zach Wilson had the very best game of his short NFL career..

Panthers' Matt Rhule Is Making a Bid for Best NFL Coach This Season
"I wanna talk about the best young coach football. And it's not necessarily sean mcveigh. It's clear that it's not only an indictment on the new york jets operation. But what you're seeing was sam darnold in the carolina. Panthers is pretty remarkable the knock on darnold out of college there to know with too comfortable wins but the knock on darnold out of college and i watched every snap was his accuracy issues. What does he completing now. Seventy percent of his throws. He doesn't make mistakes total composure. It would be easy to just say. This is an indictment on the jets but instead of just the negative side. Let's look realistically at the positive side. Not only has met rule made darnold more comfortable. This defense has twenty one quarterback hits and ten sacks in two games. What does that tell you. The culture of the carolina. Panthers is headed in the right direction. It also tells you. This is a remarkable stat on matt rule. The coach carolina going back to the beginning of last year. You will not believe this. Carolina leads the nfl with the fewest. Three and outs that with teddy bridgewater and start with. Sam darnold. nothing about that not mahomes. Not lamar jackson. Not tom brady. Not derek carr not matt ryan not russell wilson not aaron rodgers. No the fewest three and outs matt rule. Teddy bridgewater and sam darnold but this is a offensive line. That outside of right tackle graded poorly left. Tackle all the way to right guard. What matt rule is doing with this sub optimal often. It's of line. The scarce number of three out the revamping rebooting of sam darnold is really mind-blowing

They come back and do you all punch we. You got the talent to counter all those things yourself but dammit why are they happening consistently the bucks got back in their series last night with a much much needed win over the next jaanus and chris middleton combined for sixty eight points. Kevin durant have thirty points of his own but there's nothing to their slowest boring output. This season brooklyn is still up to one in a series with game. Four on sunday. In milwaukee my click bucher back. Widow you marcella. I confident the bucks. Don't make this a series dog series without their tongue wagging trying as hard as they could. Oh three point. Victory and that three point. Victory came over achievement by these same books. Chris middleton big dog way to show them that you are true number two thirty five points. One shop your career high in the playoffs chris milton combined for sixty eight hundred eighty six points. That's the highest percentage any teams points by any dual in nba history. I'm just going to say without auto says when you're listening to say right here. You saw playing with their food yesterday. That's all they were doing playing with their food. And what happens. Is you get a team. Like the milwaukee bucks who we know. They're trying to get over. That finally get into the finals. It's not gonna happen this year because there's a current going on right now if you guys ever been in. Oc understand with a current is on the surface ways maybe coming in maybe look in slough underneath the surface. Let me tell ya what's happening hale and they about the pay. For how many points did we see the milwaukee bucks score last night. Eight and six coming poorest that we see them scoring game prior eighty six. You try to tell me and slick. Rick this is for you. I'm glad faces up there. The brooklyn nets are playing that type of defense even in defeat. Y'all got to be careful which all staring at which are looking at. Y'all keep looking at all. Look at him only eighty three points. Fewest points this season. You're looking at the office of production they arse and strangling this team whereas going hurt the most it brooklyn is going to be the team that goes out there. And you're betting won't school eighty six. You're fooling yourself. They are snicking this team by playing defense and mindset of priority. What james harden watch. What happens arrested this series. They don't show their manners gentleman. Sweep i love your take. Big dog i love your take. You're wrong but i love your take. The bucks are going to make this a series. They have made it a series. I said buxton six from the outset. And technically i am still alive now. I know for certain he bucks are gonna make it. A series is because they did not play great. Last night they played how they're capable the plane so game in the playoffs. You can safely assume janos will give you twenty eight to forty points in double digit boards yesterday. Janas gave you thirty three points in double digit boards. You would assume that. Chris middleton will give you twenty six to thirty five and get you about eight to twelve. Bores khris middleton gave you to thirty five now. He exceeded the rebound expectations but would also assume that to holiday inn. Lopez would combine for somewhere around fifteen twenty points. They did not finally finally in the series we saw balance. We saw both the teams playing at a bare level. I two games net played out of their mind. Butts played terrible. Finally we saw both the teams play. Okay like the buxton have significantly less turnover than the nets. The buxton not shoot better than the nets. They both just played. Okay which is why it was a three point game and the three point game tipped to be bucks favor here though is why i'm so confident in my bucks back baby. I believe and be of averages america. What does the law of averages the law of averages simply says future events are likely to balance out the fbi from past events to get you closer to your average your future events going to balance out what happened in the past to get you closer to your average. Why do i bring that up. Slick and why do i bring that up sale yesterday. The buckshot their third worst three point percentage of the season not the play offs of the season game one bucket buckshot their fourth worst three point percentage of the season so if we believe in the law of averages that means the bucks are bound to shoot their third best viewpoint. Percents eventually bound to suit their fourth best. Three-point percentage of the season and in those two games. They don't take so the first two games lost play terribly but boy then law of averages go kick in and to get hot eventually. Yana saying go. One for eight from three every game. Sell khris middleton. Isn't this go for six from three every game sale eventually. The bugs don't get hot and when they do they steal too. I appreciate that you are sticking to your guns. And i also appreciate the way this question framed because it is a matter of confidence and i am not at all confident that they can make this a series. They could they should. But i'm not confident that they will by the way marcellus before i confirm and put a stamp of approval on your position to just say that you don't steal any more start stopped because we just stole alive from jaanus. I'm not mistaken in your. I did you. But that whole ocean thing i've known about that okay plagiarism. Anyway i digress. Here's the reality. The reason i'm not confident is because if it takes keeping them in the game in the eighties to win. I'm not confident. They can do that if it takes. Having bruce brown decide that he is going to go for the game winner. I'm not confident that that's going to happen. On a consistent basis and ultimately if.

Russell Wilson still wants Antonio Brown in Seattle
"Elements so last week long time. Nfl insider. john. Clay said on ninety three seven. Bannon pittsburgh that russell wilson is lobbying the team to sign super bowl winning receiver antonio brown wilson's name has come up in trade talks this season Obviously he hasn't been fully pleased with the seattle seahawks. That's no secret max kellerman. What's your reaction to wilson wanting. I'm confused here. I'm confused because abc does not come the same discount. He came on last year. The bucks right. There's a market for him. Now that's going to be more competitive than it was so it's not just like give basically getting abc for free. He wants them to lure a be away from a super bowl winning team with a great quarterback who still doing it and a great defense and everything all the things that russell wilson was complaining. He doesn't have right. Like i'm confused. Because ross i thought this was about your offensive line which through under the bus or not having a defense. Well there's a limited limited resources in the nfl per team. There's a salary cap. So you must rob peter to pay paul for every cent you spend on antonio brown. You can't spend that sent on your offensive line poor on your defense and it's not like you don't have metcalf and lock it. You have a receiving corps so of course what quarterback wouldn't want to throw the ball to. He's one of the greatest. Whoever did it but given the situation. He's lobbying for another receiver. I thought that was about the offensive line or the defense

Nickel Package
Did Washington Do Enough to Push Dallas in the NFC?
"Did washington football teams teamers and the giants do enough to push dallas in the nfc. So i left philly out. I don't yeah. I just don't i am found anyone who really thinks they're going to be competitive. I mean let's wait and see got jalen whatever. But that's a team that they're not really fun to talk about. Because their free agency considered like stripping you know but i mean they did sign at harris for like nothing which is probably better sightings but what you have in jalen also you serianni. Yes hundred percent but washington in york both very active and did interesting. Things i think are worth discussing because dallas after the dak prescott deal was finally done. They've kind of made a few moves around the margins adding kia neil. Getting tied as kind of swing. Tackle still have question marks at adra sure and coroner but washington like i think they might have had my favorite free agency or at least the one that i'm most excited to see. I don't know payoff on the field. So just to recap. They signed the aforementioned ryan fitzpatrick one year. Ten million dollars. They tag branch eff. Who's there Pro bowler guard. They signed william jackson from the bengals. Cornerback three years. Forty two million dollars and then added panthers wide receiver. Curtis samuel for three years thirty four point five million dollars so just starting like let's start here. Do you agree with me like do you. Do you like what they did. And do you think it makes them an actual competitor in the division. A really like what. Washington did You know. I think among the guys among the quarterback that they could get because not only were they never in it for russell wilson or or wherever really going to be competitive for shawn watson You had to start looking okay. We'll what's realistic. And it's the ryan fitzpatrick coming off his best his career. It's an andy dalton and whereas that really gonna lead you I think that there was a lot of interest in marcus. Mariota he still is not able to sign with another team because the raiders are still holding him hostage But so. I like the quarterback. Move because you're essentially saying let's build up the team the and let's have the strongest team possible around the quarterback position where we don't sell out just because we have to for that position free agency. Maybe they make a move at the draft for a guy that they have their eye on. Or maybe they just say let's. Let's keep the boat floating this year and let's make our move Next free agency. So i thought that they probably overpaid by million or two on curtis samuel. But they wanted him And and ron rivera really likes them. Obviously william jackson an incredible deal You look around and you need another pass rusher and they can they can probably keep ryan kerrigan as a third down specialist if he comes down off his number end so you know he's he's still doing that. He's gonna get paid a whole lot of money. I'm not sure that that money is really out there especially at this point in free agency so they didn't want to mortgage their future for for quarterback right. Now they wanted to keep the boat afloat. I that and so. I like what they have done. Specially on evens. Then when you consider the the sort of offense and the pre-snap that they can have with all those offensive playmakers. Now that curtis annuals there with terry corn. I really like with done.

Predictions vs Reality NFC West, Seattle Seahawks
"I predicted the Seattle Seahawks to go 11:00 and 5 last year. I pretty much nailed it. They went 12 and for the only game I missed was the San Francisco 49ers. I could not predict that the $59 would have a bunch of injuries. I thought that the Seattle Seahawks and the 49ers would split their series each win one game against each other instead Seattle beat the 49ers in both games. So that's literally the one game it's kind of crazy. I was horribly wrong about the Cardinals the Rams the 49ers. I nailed Seattle. My prediction was right there for I'm actually not that interested in Seattle. Like I like I said, I'm actually way more fascinated when I get stuff horribly wrong. I said before the year that Seattle relies too heavily on Russell Wilson, they're starting quarterback 2000sq them from their problems and kind of ended up being true now, they brought in the receiver Phillip Dorsett. They brought in Phillip Dorsett from New England. I was curious to Phillip Dorsett kind of a breakout year and Go from a guy who was infuriating to watch a New England to maybe having a great season playing with Russell Wilson. Unfortunately Phillip Dorsett did not play a single game the poor guy hurt his foot in training camp and by November Phillip told I was getting surgery to remove bone spurs from his foot. I encourage you look up a bone spur does not look like a comfortable thing but credits yet. I Seattle try to get Russell Wilson some Playmakers. I thought we were set to not work out. Josh. Gordon did not work out. They brought in. You know Speedy Josh Gordon. He had a setback in recovery. Seattle had to end up cutting him so long so brought in Greg Olsen. They they got a veteran tight end Greg Olsen and I look I got a lot of respect for Greg Olsen. He's awesome. Last year Greg Olsen. However was underwhelming had 24 catches for 239 yards one touchdown played an only 11 games missed a couple of games with an injury. So in the end Greg Olsen retired, so Phillip Dorsett, Josh Gordon, Greg Olsen, like the move Seattle made to try to support Russell Wilson just didn't work out and that's not bad. It just it didn't it didn't work. Unfortunately right now again, I love Greg Olsen. He's amazing. I cannot wait to hear the guy in the broadcast booth next year. But now the one thing that came out very very well for Seattle on offense was DK Metcalf. G came back up Seattle second-year receiver. Oh my gosh. This guy is a monster. He had 83 catches for 1303 yards 10 touchdowns. I love to see that DK Metcalf is a receiver that is just at the beginning of his eventual domination over the NFL. He already does dominate in some games. So he keeps getting better and better and he keep getting better and better the more we watch him. Now as I look back on Seattle season, one of the things that kind of sticks out to me that's very weird still is I just did not love their 2020 first-round picks Seattle is kind of known for having weird. First round draft picks. They drafted linebacker Jordan Brooks 27th overall. And he was her early on so Jordan books now, I will say I'm not going to trash on Jordan books by the end of the year. He made some plays with doing some good stuff like Jordan Brooks. Very good football player solid right desert looks like a first-round pick the end of the year. But here's what's weird to me is that when the Seattle Seahawks went to a nickel package meaning that you bring in an extra corner or defensive back onto the field to basically stop the past when they win to track a package which is happening more and more in the NFL because teams are throwing more and more than ever before. In a nickel package. Jordan Brooks is on the sidelines not playing maybe part of that is because they were he's a rookie. They're trying to light workload. I don't know but it's kind of weird to draft a first-round pick and then not have the guy on the field. All the time makes me wonder despite Jordan Brooks being a very solid football game. Could they not have got drafted somebody 27th overall last year that could have contributed even more to their team. Just a question. I'm asking cuz I looked at it. I still book how it's bit of an odd pick life. Even though Jordan Brooks can play it's like whack could they not have done something better or maybe more interesting than Jordan Brooks just me asking a question here. You can answer for yourself. I'm just for me. I'm like man, you spend a first-round pick on a guy who's not on the field all the time,

NFL Franchise Tag: What it is and how it works
"What is a franchise tax. So you hear this word a lot. I always used to think franchise tag means. We're just gonna see that player on that specific team for the remaining of the season but there or for the next year but they're a little more complicated in that so every offseason teams have a two week window to plot to a one year franchise tag so once the player gets tagged they can either sign that contract or a long term extension. Which is the more i think. That's the more popular use of the franchise tag because a of teams don't want their their coveted players to hit free agency and they don't want another to swoop them without getting being able to offer them. I so these salaries for for each tag varies by position and the price is set by either adding the top five paid players from each position or it can be one hundred percent of a player's previous year's salary so twenty percent Increase in that salary so by position quarterback at least twenty six million a year with the franchise tag water. She was get seventeen million defensive ends get around seventeen million but less than receivers linebackers get fifteen million and so on and so forth. I think running backs get around ten million so it all depends on how guys are being being paid at that specific position so teams only can use this once a year and they can only use it on one player you can use it on the same player different years but yeah you can only had us one tag per year. There's different types of tags. There's an exclusive franchise tag which means players can't negotiate it all with other teams. There's a non exclusive franchise tag where other teams can make an offer and then The the team that has that player can match that offered and take the player And then there's a tradition. Tax tradition tags are similar to non-exclusive but players get an average of top ten position salaries instead of top five. So there's a little bit of a my discrepancy there and once the tag is applied teams have until mid july to renegotiate the contract. So like i said most common use for these franchise tag is not let a player. They want hit free agency. They wanna keep them around and then negotiate a more long-term deal to save some money and get under the cap for the foreseeable future so these somewhat can be slightly unfair A lot of players disliked the franchise tag for example on robinson is voiced his opinions against the franchise tag because it plays a lot of restrictions on upper-echelon players. So when a player like allen robinson gets franchise tagged they can't really find the real market value because they have that set price on them and if they wanted to go explore free agency then they could go interview with a bunch of teams test the waters and see what their actual worth is rather than getting a set number Just put on them so that's somewhat unfair This makes them have no financial security past one season. So if there's an injury then you know they just their value could just completely plummet. Under the franchise tag now players can hold out. That's really the only leverage they have in the su- situation but you know that's asking a lot of a player to put their public. Perception line put their reputation with the fans on the line and so most players don't do that but it has gotten to that point before so most cases players work at a deal for the tag comes into place in july which is the deadline for them to restructure. Or make that deal. So now i'm gonna get into what players have got tagged so far and What does that mean for. These teams moving forward. I player i wanted to discuss. Is alan robinson so. This one was obvious when it had to be done. Bears have a lot of uncertainty at the at the quarterback situation. So i don't think they wanted to make a long term deal without knowing where what direction they were gonna go with the quarterback. But you couldn't let player of this caliber and a player. This talented gopher nothing in return so in twenty twenty roms a career. High one hundred two passes for twelve hundred fifty yards. And he's only twenty seven which is pretty remarkable considering everything he's been through he had a tornado in two thousand seventeen with jacksonville. And he's really played with really bad quarterbacks over the years he's had blake bortles who's a backup slash bouncing around the league and he's played with mitch trubisky. Who's a failed first round pick for the chicago bears. And he's still been that he's had that production there no matter what. So i really wanna see robinson play with upper echelon quarterback and i just think if you give him a russell wilson someone who's above slightly above average maybe even just average than his numbers will go up. Even more is ridiculous so like i said he's a true number one receiver. I would argue top five in the league. He's either gonna play for seventeen million in two thousand twenty which is what his franchise tag number. I think he's looking for more around twenty million and easier gonna play under that contract or he can hold out. Which i think is definitely a possibility with this player just because of the displeasure. He's voiced on social media and kind of how players of rallied. His teammates have rallied rallied around him and they really want to see him get paid but when you look at the market value so he's gonna get paid seventeen million the tag next year.

Seattle Seahawks Today: Latest Rumors On A Russell Wilson Trade
"Originally or a few a few weeks ago russell. Wilson's camp released some information that he was unhappy in seattle. They have not formally requested a trade but it seems like the relationship has some conflict there. he has a no trade clause in his contract. There were specific exemptions from four. Team's the cowboys. The saints the bears and las vegas after dak prescott signed is extent like talked about and the raiders recently have back derek carr. They've given their full support. They they wanna move forward their cars. So that really leaves the saints and the bears as the final two candidates for possibly getting russell wilson this offseason so saints are always in salary cap trouble From what. I've learned about the salary cap they can. They ended up being able to just move money around when they need to. But they're always close to reaching that point so they're always during the cat but it seems unlikely that they will be able to make a move for quarterback this price in this caliber. So when you re comes down to it. The bears like the front runners as the most desperate team. Four quarterback if you've watched the nfl shares have always had quarterback issues. They've been in quarterback hell so to speak for the past two decades and russell. Wilson could come in and immediately fix that so the bears are desperate. And i see the bears as the front running candidate to lead russell wilson or land russell. Wilson this offseason. So when did all this start with russell. wilson is come out of nowhere I would say to myself when i first saw. Russell wilson wants out. I was shocked. But although it's not that cut and dry comes down to russell wilson. Mp carol's relationship. So they've won a superbowl. They made playoffs made. They made the playoffs. Eight times in the last nine seasons which is absurd. It's absurd to think there was wasn't been playing in the nfl for the last nine seasons But he's been assault as they come. He's true winner. he goes to the playoffs. he's clutch and i see. The situation is very similar to the tom. Brady situation new england. You had tom brady and bill play for all those years. Winning all those super bowls and talk. Although tom brady wasn't playing up to his level he wasn't playing bad and they had that loss to the titans of the playoffs. And i think he just had those two egos bill. Belichick and tom brady kind of going at each other. And they've they've finally kind of just tired of that relationship and they wanted to move on. They wanted to start. Something new. And when quarterbacks are with the head coach for so long things start to take a turn for the worst so. I'm not sure if that's exactly what's happening with p carroll and russell wilson but there are a lot of similarities there so it was reported in week. Eleven of the season. That wilson stormed out of an offensive meeting when he was trying to offer insight as to what he wanted done as on a bit done for protection standpoint and so that was the first sign the second sign is just overall. He's been getting hit way. Too much. says he's sacked. He's been three hundred ninety four times since entering the league which is on pace to be the most sat quarterback of all time which is pretty insane when you consider how well he's played and he's just been under duress running for his life literally for the last his whole career and so seattle hasn't found a way to kind of sure up that protection for him. I think that's starting to get frustrating as well. So but more specifically in two thousand twenty. He had a week nine loss to the bills. This was a defining moment for this offense offense because after that moment. Russell wilson had started to throw a lot of turnovers making a lot of risky plays they lose to the bills. The seahawks kind of started to scale the offense back like i said to limit turnovers and did not perform well for the rest of the season so before that game. They were top. Three league based on expected points added per play. They were the number three the top three leak and then after that game from from weeknight on they felt a number eighteen the remainder of the season. So that's a huge huge drop off so they really sputtered down the stretch. They were able to win games and make the playoffs through to their defense. Kind of picking picking up. Their play was weird. Their offense was so good in the beginning the defense awful and he kind of flipped that latter half of the year but he's also getting hit It doesn't seem to meet on their offensive loss of beat philosophy and he. He's definitely voiced that he wants more of a say. In the franchise direction as the franchise quarterback so all these things culminating into one is. Where would he end up.

Dallas Cowboys Reach Multi-Year Deal With Star Quarterback Dak Prescott
"Salary cabin number for two thousand and twenty one is going to be twenty two point two million dollars all right now. Head dak prescott. In franchise tag again this will happen in a procedural sense but had to cow tried to go at this with dak prescott on the franchise tag for the two thousand and twenty one season. We've talked about this a number of times. That value would have been thirty. Seven point seven million dollars so the fact that the cow is now have him onto the books. We're talking about the value that is on the books in the books. However you want to look at the books whether they're e books or physical books whatever the case may be that value is now twenty two point two million dollars now. I know that we have all said some things about the dallas cowboys but they are not complete dummies. They surely budgeted for the franchise tag value. Because let's be honest. They came about twenty four hours. We think you know. Close to having the actually placed the franchise tag and maybe carried out with that prescott. So the cowboys have room for the franchise tag at the very least so you look at that quake matt that adam schefter was kind enough to do for you. That is fifteen point. Five million dollars that the dallas cowboys suddenly have because they've got this long term deal with that prescott. This is something that we've been saying for two years now. If you do this you can. You can kick this down the road. You can prorate it you can extended you can whatever term you want to put on it. You can spread the impact of the deal out of the signing bonus of the overall guaranteed money out over the lives of the contract so it doesn't hit you all at once. That's the one killer about the franchise tag is that it is fully and completely guaranteed in franchise tag is a one year deal so the value of it last year and dak prescott was on the tag for thirty one point. Four million dollars. The two thousand twenty dallas cowboys had to absorb that value all at once and they would have had to have done it again. Here in two thousand and twenty one but because they have adjusted that they now have fifteen and a half million dollars that they were seemingly budgeting for dak prescott that now they can apply to different areas. Maybe it is a safety. Maybe it's a defensive end. Maybe it's a defensive tackle. Maybe it's you know an offensive tackle. But they want swing tackled death whatever the case may be. We know that the cowboys obviously hold the tenth overall. Pick in the draft. They could go a number of different directions there. They wanna cornerback kayla farther patrick's retain do wanna take one of the tackles and rashawn slater as all this is. This is setting up and this is an important thing. I want you to hear me here and watch me here. You cannot waste this money. If dallas cowboys the whole point and getting this done with thac prescott besides obviously establishing having the best player on your team for the foreseeable future the point in doing this is to alleviate the salary cap space now. And i don't like the term when now if you watch us often you know that but you look state of the nfc east. It is by sudha. I mean the philadelphia. Eagles are a disaster. The new york giants doping daniel jones is legitimate. The washington football team has a great team but is void of the most important position of the game and a quarterback. Maybe they'd get somebody this cycle as we all expect quarterbacks to change teams at a higher rate than usual but the case in point is at the dallas cowboys are now. We're going to see this all day on tuesday by the way and we'll talk about it of course but they're going to be overwhelming favorites to win the nfc streit and you think about the conference that they plan is really a contender in the nfc. And i mean that with all due respect to the reigning champion tampa bay buccaneers. But you've got the bucks you've got the green bay packers and then who scares you. May maybe the rams you believe in matthew stafford but the point is thinking about the afc. I mean the. Afc has the bills and the ravens and the chiefs and the titans and the steelers and the browns. I mean you could go. A number of different ways. Did the colts have carson. Wentz ends up getting his act together and so the cowboys play in the weakest division in the weaker conference and so now they have this opportunity to really kind of take their future in the here and now they have fifteen and a half million dollars that they weren't necessarily planning on having use it and if they don't use it it is all for not so i mean we are all imploring the dallas cowboys to ultimately use this salary cap space. This is a very very very luxurious gift. That they now have been afforded that they didn't previously have so shattered of course to the dallas cowboys. Let's see here let's move. I'm i wanna talk of course about the bonus the dak prescott because well. It's stupid large. I mean it's amazing. Dak prescott has now the largest signing bonus in the nfl. You look at joe flacco. Once upon a time. Got forty million. Dollars matt ryan forty six and a half. Remember if you're on the fence about this value. We've talked about this before as well. Matt ryan became the first quarterback in nfl history to average over. He had thirty but to average at least thirty million dollars per year with his new contract that he signed with the atlanta falcons in two thousand and eighteen. That was three years ago. Dak prescott signed a four six year. Deal whatever you wanna call it. That was three years ago. They matt ryan signed that he was the first quarterback to hit the thirty million dollars a year. Mark prescott just hit forty but the reality and we've been saying this forever is that there are so many deals coming around the bend. Josh allens gotta get paid. Lamar jackson's gotta get paid. Baker mayfield's got to get paid extra calories. He's going to get paid the year after that. It's going to be time for joe burrow to finally get paid and when all of those players get paid this forty million dollars a year. Mark the dak prescott got this one hundred twenty six million dollar. Total guaranteed is sixty six million dollar signing bonus all these things that are currently the top of the nfl. The most in nfl history. That's the verbiage in determining that you're hearing associated with this and it's all literally true but it's all going to get pushed down because all of these players on this list. Joe flacco matt ryan matthew stafford at fifty million signing bonus. Aaron rodgers fifty. Seven and a half russell wilson not going to be a dallas cowboy now by the way sixty five million dollars. Dak prescott topped that all of these quarterbacks in all likelihood we'll top that that's the reality of the nfl things are always moving in one direction. It is up

Washington releases Alex Smith following quarterback's Comeback Player of the Year season
"Quickly. I have some news that has just come in from adam. Schefters twitter feed. And it's not a surprise but the washington football team has released alex smith. Who was this year's choice for the nfl's comeback player of the year overwhelmingly. So he has been released. They save almost fifteen million dollars cap space so in an off season. Where does shawn watson might be available. Dak prescott might be available. Russell wilson might be available louis. How interested do you think teams will be alex smith as he becomes available now. I think alex is a tremendous mentor. I think alex would be a tremendous bridge quarterback at this point in time these people are going to really try and connect the dots between him in chicago given his familiarity with matt nagy and that system that they run in chicago like it was in kansas city. I don't think that's a that's the option that they're looking for but look. I have nothing but infinite. Respect for alex smith at any team would be better served having him in their in their quarterback room for sure.

"There's like the Packers shouldn't maybe they depends how you like leader. I have the Packers shouldn't they're good. They get in Rogers the Kansas City Chiefs should not trade for Aaron Rodgers the the Buccaneers not The Bills should like there's a couple teams that shouldn't but man there's not very many almost every team is better by adding Russell Wilson. And I also remember the Jets coach Robert solid coached in San Francisco. We played Russell Wilson a bunch over He knows how good Russell Wilson is and imagine like I like Justin Fields. I like Zach Wilson that you probably the likely guys will be available that number two overall pick if the Jets keep that pick they can draft Zach Wilson, they could draft Justin fields. But Russell Wilson is a lot better than Justin Fields a lot better than Zach Wilson, especially near when I don't know. I don't know what Zach Wilson and Justin feels will become you can't be can't predict the future. Next year and very likely they're going to be better than muscles but next year for sure. Russ is better quarterback. Russell Wilson makes sense to the Jets the Jets get their quarterback. By the way Seattle would benefit to they get to draft another quarterback. They probably could draft another Wilson quarterback CX could draft Zach Wilson number two. Overall. Plus they get a the 23rd overall pick to get another player. They get next year get a draft pick which could be good. Like that could be busts. I think they're way more valuable to I would rather have Russell Wilson draft picks again draft picks to me or gambling they hit often but not every time. So I I love I love I love I love Russell Wilson to the New York Jets. It's a phenomenal idea. And it's not New York. It's maybe the Giants maybe it's Pittsburgh. Maybe it's Miami. Like there's a lot of teams out there that would benefit from Russell Wilson instantaneously in a harpy. Now I do got to say shame on Seattle. It's an embarrassment the Seattle see I'm from the north west. I grew up. I was never a Seahawks fan. I was always a Mariners fan though. I loved I loved the Seattle Mariners back up on that when I was eleven years old. They broke my heart I said never again, but I'm from the north west. I know a lot of people that if Russell Wilson leaves. Oh, he'll be heartbroken at the best quarterback Seattle ever played ever had the best player in the history of their organization gone you get a BYU quarterback. Yeah, you get a you get a 23rd overall pick. I have been saying for years Seattle needs to support Russell Wilson I'm saying it'll get the guy and offensive line. Throw the football get the guy better off as like four years. I'm a sec. Please please support Russell Wilson. They've done awful they've had terrible offensive lines bad play-calling mistake after mistake after mistake Seattle mismanaged a Hall of Fame career Hall.

"We've been talking about Russell Wilson this week. E didn't have a pickle E o way just need like a sound effect like sports returns and New York just really cross with, uh The Russell Wilson's unhappy he wants out, apparently or he wants more control or whatever. And we played for you yesterday, Brandon Marshall. Who was on Fox Sports one and he was discussing how he doesn't think that the Seahawks trust Russell Wilson, of which I just, um like, what do you kidding me? They let the entire legion of boom, retire or sign elsewhere or get traded. And they gave all of the money to Russell Wilson. And you're gonna tell me that they don't trust Russell Wilson. Well, Brandon Marshall, who played for one season in Seattle, double down on this yesterday, and FS one. Here's the clip. I don't believe that Pete Carroll believes and Russ, That's what I believe. Okay. I don't believe that. Pete Carroll thinks he can drop back 40 times because when you look at Russ with the highlights, it's always him scrambling and making these magnificent plays outside the pocket. It's not him sitting there and throwing in rhythm. It's not that But you gotta understand the maturation of a player you gotta understand. Hi, guy can get better. And I don't believe that Pete Carroll thinks Russell Wilson is a guy that can then go out there and drop back 40 times and get it done. He truly believes Gotta play good defense. You've got to run the ball and you take shots, and I think that's where this whole thing is coming Head to head right now. Have a lot of respect for Brandon Marshall was a really good receiver for a really long time He's opened up about his own. Melted mental illnesses and anxieties, and he's tried to make sure that mental health was on the front and center of Football world in the NFL and fans and players and to try to normalize those conversations. That's a really big deal. But I just think his take here is a disaster. How can you convince me That Pete Carroll John Schneider and the Seahawks organization. Don't trust Russell Wilson. What does that mean? Last year through the first eight games of the season. Russell Wilson Woz, the betting favorite for M V P. He had the best first half out of any quarterback in the NFL, including Rogers, Mahomes and Brady. In the second half of the year. They continued trying to do exactly what happened in the first half of the year, which was consistently throw deep. Foot Wilson back there and consistently throw deep. And defense is adjusted. And in the exit interview over the season, Pete Carroll addressed that that he got too stubborn with allowing Russell Wilson to throw too much. And to throw downfield too much. And in the playoff game against the Rams, they had it solved. Russell Wilson last year through for 4200 yards and 40 touchdowns. Tom Brady threw for 40 touchdowns. What did we say about Tom Brady? Bruce Arians. That Bruce Air Ian's just keeps throwing it down field. He's empowering Tom Brady. Even Brady's arm strength isn't as good anymore. He's challenging defense's downfield. He's coaching aggressively. We never said that. Bruce Arians doesn't trust Tom Brady. We only said that boy he trust Tom Brady too much. Russell Wilson of the same stats. Russell Wilson threw for more than 4200 yards and 40 touchdowns in the season with 558 attempts, Guys, that's the most passing attempts he's ever had. This is just an acid. Nine. Take And my guess is that Russell Wilson, having played a sees with Brandon Marshall is feeding Brandon Marshall this type of stuff to put out there a national platform. But if Russell Wilson believes this What the hell are you looking at, dude? What exactly are you looking at? When you say Pete Carroll doesn't have faith or trust Russell Wilson You had more passing attempts. In your entire career. You had more passing touchdowns than your entire career. You added. Almost the most passing yards of your entire career. You fell short by seven yards of your career high and you were the M V p through the first half of the season and only because the offense didn't adjust to the defense's and try to keep doing that. Did you fall off in the second half of the season? They drafted DK Metcalf of the second round. They drafted an offensive lineman that was an all rookie team guy in the third round this past year. They Brought in Duane Brown, who's a four time pro bowler on the offensive line, and they just fire the offensive coordinator. They gave you all of the money and let the defense walk. How could you possibly live in a world where it seems like they don't trust Russell Wilson? Because Pete Carroll might want to balance the run. But how s a nine? Is this The chief just spent a first round draft pick on a running back. And they have Patrick Mahomes and won a Super Bowl. And they spent their first round draft pick on a running back. Okay? Aaron Rodgers was this year's NFL M v. P, and everybody knows that because of Aaron Jones being as good as he Woz when he was healthy. It opened up the offense for Aaron Rodgers and helped complete that attack. Tom Brady added Leonard Fernet. And had Donald Jones this backfield and they were a huge part of winning a Super Bowl. You can't throw it every down. You have to have some type of ground attack to balance it off or else your cook from a defensive standpoint. You have to have some semblance of a ground game, which is, by the way exactly why the chief's lost the Super Bowl is because they completely bailed on the run. And they could only throw And even if you have Patrick Mahomes, it doesn't matter. You're toast. If if Russell Wilson's argument here is I'm an M v P I'm in my thirties. Now. I don't know how many more great chances I get. I should have Mork control over. The game plan, or Personnel. That's a conversation. If you want to say, Look, Aaron Rodgers is this controller Tom Brady. Is this control or whatever, and I feel like I'm in that category. That's one thing Don't Don't pin it as they don't trust me. Because they built everything around you. Everything you could say. I don't like the offensive coordinators have had the last couple of years. Okay, But don't say they don't trust me because By your paycheck. By your pass.

"So yeah, I think that even if they go mid-range, I think it can be can be better off as long as they stick true to what they need in their system and also remember financially if they go mid-range middle-tier 30 or whatever you want to say you bring in somebody like men's shoe is not going to cost you a lot of money. And in theory that means the Patriots could then spend a bunch of money on skill position players. Now you have a quarterback who can run your system better and arguably do you have a lot better options at wide receiver tight end. So I think it's all part of this big puzzle that Belichick's trying to put together and the one thing I will say before we wrap it up dog. Checks watching he's listening. He's reading he knows what people are saying and he understands that all of a sudden the Tom Brady stuff listed. I love Brady and he deserves a lot of credit but the Brady stuff's getting a little birth control and now people are rewriting history about what happened in New England and how sudden Brady is, you know, ninety percent responsible for what happened with the Patriots and that's going to go up a little bit, you know his going to be a little angry about that and he should be because it's not 90/10. Okay, if you want to split a 50/50 fine, but don't tell me Tom Brady was ninety percent responsible for what happened over twenty years in New England and Belichick was just sitting there and and reaping all of the rewards that's outrageous. So do you think Belichick is really motivated? And if they do get one of those missions are cheaper quarterbacks, I do think Belichick will intern spend a lot of money on the skill positions and we're going to load up the great. "But really I think it's about as about as contract and also. He's married to Ciara. Yep, Entertainer singer. They are a Duo if you watch any of the pre games. This weekend, it's inside. Yeah, I mean they were all over it. And you know what it means and what he wants to do in his stage and this and that and that's what I think it's about. This is really his final act in his in his career coming up here in the next year or two because then you should go someplace else maybe plays four or five years and now he's at forty suddenly or what have you. So I think he's looking at this as his contract. And also I think he wants to be some sort of global named Global Ambassador into to him you look at the current backdrop with the NFL right now. All right. So has taken care of you have Stafford. You have Justin Herbert. That's not going to happen with New York is open right now between the Jets and also the Giants Giants are one team. We have not heard anything about in the offseason. Are they going to stick with Daniel Jones or they just sort of laying in the weeds? So la is out the second best thing or maybe the best thing is New York. And if you want to make a move to go to New York, if you're Russell Wilson and Ciara home. It's now it's now or never because the Jets are either going to get a new they're going to go all in with Sam darnold or they're going to get a new quarterback in the draft and the and the and the Giants also might not might not have an opening for long somebody they could get into the Sean Watson or somebody else now all of a sudden La in New York are closed then if you're Russell Wilson, what do you do if that's your goal? So I think to me that's where the talk the clock is ticking them to get two new to a major major Market. All right, let's jump the cars and went listen. I don't want to spend a ton of that time. I went up he looked broken last year. I have absolutely zero interest in him. If I were the Patriots you hear that the Patriots really haven't been in on the discussions. That makes me happy. Again, I don't want went and the contract and the mental stuff..

"March 9th. So for example, this is when the Patriots tag Jo Tunis last year and something went from the top garden on the market to The Patriots parked on them but it costs them $15. So that's that's the first sort of really important. time. For season, March 5th Teeth Begins the three-day tampering. Geils get locked up very quickly. They can't be announced yet and March 17th at 4 p.m. That's when everything can change. There's one other thing. I think it's February might have just passed. Yeah, I think it just past where the waiver. Starts. So any player that is waived and this is going to be important now Nick in this offseason because of the caps. situation settled right around the tag deadline maybe February 23rd and might be later. A lot of times. It's in the March which can affect teams planning, but they want to know what the deal is. So do I want to tag this guy? What's the cap see? How how is that going to affect us? But a lot of guys are going to get cut we already saw this with Bowie from the Broncos the cornerback was well, at least they said they were going to page him any player with four years or less service time. They are subject to waivers anybody like Bowie they are free agents as soon as they age it's as soon as they are released. So that is something to keep an eye on Nick because we could very well see a situation where the Patriots are locking up some players some veteran guys who don't go to the tampering. Before we even get the free agency. This is going to be a very weird year for NFL free agency. I don't think people quite comprehend that yet, you know. It's fascinating because if you look at betonline.ag look at some of the Futures you try to figure out which team is going to make moves and who's going to be cutting talent and I think it's a very crucial time of the next few weeks to try to figure out what these teams are going to look like and there's going to be a lot of teams Greg as you mentioned. They're looking at this March 17th official start of the new year and they've got to make some very difficult decisions and a lot of guys are going to be cut that I think you would not expect to be cut it's going to be a very interesting. I would say few weeks here that were watching, you know, usually you get a good read first day of that agency you get the feel and a lot of moves are made. I think there could be a lot of things that are done before free agency even begins really makes you start to think about okay, where's this team headed? What are they going to look like who was now available and it all starts at the quarterback position. We know that the the center of the NFL Universe is that position and interestingly enough Craig over the past few days off. Just picked up steam. You know, I met some I show down in Virginia last offseason last offseason. I stuck a pin in this Russell Wilson came out last offseason and all of a sudden he's done something..

"Make the playoffs next year. All that on the show. Let's go so russell. Wilson came out the other day and said he is tired of getting hit. He's frustrated with the situation of the seattle seahawks and you know it. It's funny when to talk about because people are now saying maybe he's unhappy with organization. Maybe he wants to move to be traded. Yada yada yada. He wants but he said he wants more say what they do and you know that he says was like any player. You never wanna get hit. That's the reality of planets position. Ask any quarterback who wants to play this game but at the same time as part of job and everything else i think. That's the reality is that i've been. I've definitely been hit. I've been sacked almost four hundred times so we've got to get better. I've got to find ways to get better too so russell. Wilson obviously frustrated with getting hit. And he's right last and he core back the plays football they don't wanna get hit the nature of the game. Ask andrew luck. He retired because he was getting hit too much. He didn't want to deal with it anymore. He had an injury. And if you remember like the early years of andrew luck with the colts it was brutal. The guy was getting hit. you think. Russell wilson getting hit andrew. Luck was getting hit and it just got to mentally. I don't wanna be. I don't want to deal with this anymore. And there were reports of like some kind of text messages. They came out earlier Sometime last week about. Oh he's probably gonna come back. I don't buy it and if so if anyone is trying to sit there and say he's gonna come back to the colts. It's not happening. I'm sorry. I just i would love to see it as a colts fan. But it's not gonna happen. I mean even as nfl fan andrew luck was so good for the nfl. That the last thing you wanna do is not seeing comeback. I think we all would love to see him. Come back because ever since that like a retired hurt anything from andrew luck..

People think that Russell Wilson is justified in speaking out against the Seahawks. Some people think that the Seahawks you know they have done right by him. Russell Wilson doesn't think so. He would like to have more input as to personnel decisions. He would like to be protected on the offensive line. He said that he is tired of being hit a matter of fact. You get to go into the huddle with and then ended the day that those guys you gotta trust one. The reason what Tom wants a Tampa was because he felt like he could trust those guys and bruising and given the opportunity, I think for me anytime you bring free agents, and you know, are the players. You want The best players, guys, you love the game, and so you kind of build that over time and get to see who could really play. You know, as a player, you really know. So I think that Place that's really key, and especially being a veteran player. You know that dialogue is really important. Are you involved in personnel decisions? Not not as much. I don't do you want to be involved for us? I think it helps. I think it helps it to be involved more, but I think that's that dialogue should should happen more often in my thing. Wow. He's in the middle of a four year $140 million contract. This is what he had to say if he thinks he's available. To be traded. Well, I'm not sure if I'm available or not. That's a Seahawks question. But also I think more anything else is, um, you know, I think the end of the day you want to win. You know, I play this game every day to wake up to win. You play this game. You know, toe be the best in the world. You know, I know what I hate. I hate sitting there watching other guys played again. There's nothing worse The way you looked miserable with the Super Bowl. Watch it. Watch this game. Like, you know, wishing that I was in. There s so you know, I think that I think you know. Ultimately you watch the games. You know you want to do everything you can to be there. That's why we play this game. Listen. Russell Wilson. For a guy who came into the league and 2012. Has not had a losing season. Has not had AH, losing record. I think he's only missed the playoffs. One time he's going to two Super Bowls. He won one. We know the one that he lost is because Pekao decided to make one of the dumbest calls you will ever see in a Super Bowl. But over the past several years has this become as this has become more of Russell Wilson's team. No. Have they kind of taken a whole like wheels off the training wheels. Not quite. Pekao has always wanted to run the football this past season. They finally let him have a go at it, and they ended up firing their offensive coordinator Schottenheimer because they didn't run the ball. It was two past happy It was so past happy by the time they got to the end of the season, it was done. Offense had no balance. It was predictable that they couldn't run the ball. You think about their free agents moving into the offseason? Ah, whole lot of their free agents, Carson Going to be a free agent. You look up and down their offensive line free agents. I think both sides here have a little bit of blame to shoulder That's really the most that you have ever heard. That's the most negative you've ever heard from Russell Wilson. And to be honest, that and even sound negative that just sounded Honest. And if he wants a little bit more of a say so I think for everything that he's brought to the organization and in regards to being a winner. Stand up guy. I think he deserves a little bit of that now at the same time. I think you can blame himself. Or maybe not being more assertive earlier. I think he could blame himself. You look at his style of play. Does Russell Wilson is he running around in the backfield? Because he needs to out of necessity because of the offensive line in front of him, or is it just his nature? This guy's basically tough long he doesn't lose. He doesn't miss a game. He shows up all of the time. I also think he can show the blame. And so do you think that The Seahawks have done him dirty. So be honest, I don't think he's going to finish his career in Seattle. He says he would like to I personally don't believe that will be the case. You know, History indicates to us. That's not always the case. And I don't think Russell Wilson will be old and decrepit. I don't think he will be in his forties. By the time he's ready to move on to another team. He's also made it clear he would like to play into his forties. So he's in the middle of a four year $140 million deal. I think you'll see it through. I'm not sure. At the end of the deal, he'll be going anywhere. Would not have that concern right now, this moment. Don't think Russell Wilson is going a damn place. I wouldn't put thought into that The Seahawks have no reason. Zero reason to try to shop him to try to trade him to try to move on. So you can throw that element of it out the window. What do you think?.

"Is russell wilson. There has been episodes that he did. You know podcast and shows and Brady henderson wrote an article. Espn kinda summarize and everything. So we're gonna kinda jump around. Actually brady's article and some of the things that you know. Russell wilson has said recently It's interesting stuff. And i feel like i wanna talk about it with you guys. I want to. I definitely want your opinions on this one. This is a an interesting scenario of of sorts So first of all russell. Wilson says that you know in a very frustrated fashion that he's being hit way too many times By head i mean. He's being sacked too many times as sacks almost four hundred times is not you know it's not good enough now. Anyone who knows anything about russell wilson. The seahawks knows that while there. Are you know there's always room for improvement deficiencies on any position on team Th the seahawks definitely can improve in this position on the offense align to help russell wilson and fantasy terms. I mean we've been happy with russell. Wilson been one of the best quarterbacks in the league. No question about it. that's fantasy or not fantasy on honestly He's one of the best quarterback in league. He has great weapons In metcalfe and lock it running back situation while you know has been a little bit of a you know over. The years has been kinda up and down. But you know it's always seems like it stabilized enough where you're getting production. As long as the guy is healthy the sack situation and the offense align situation it kind of goes two ways because and russell admitted this right like part of it is often of line. Right and the other part is russell. Wilson like russell. Wilson is his own worst enemy in terms of being sacked. Because we all know. Russell wilson can hold onto the ball for way too long. You know trying to extend tinos thing plays. This is part of his his his talent his ability as the you know the the the Ability to do this right because not every night quarterback in you know run around and extend plays in and see things open up while he's running around. Not every quarterback has cable. That's a while he has this ability to do so. It also is a you know a gift and a curse of sorts In some way so sure. This hawks have to fix this But also russell has to fix his own issues and he had. He admitted this in the article. He said Here because dan patrick actually kind of excuse me dan. Patrick actually pressed him on this a little bit about you know Wilson thirty two acknowledges as much. He was asked by patrick about his sack total. He said i think that. Sometimes you hold onto it a little bit. Just because you're looking for that plane you find it but also so many of those times it turns into touchdowns to But you never wanna be sacked that many times four hundred times basically is way too many four hundred too many so i think that's a big thing we've gotta fix that's got that's got to be fixed and has to be at the end of the day because my goal is to play ten to fifteen more years fifteen tennessee more years. He's he's he and brady man. Let's just be honest. Every quarterback is the embraer right. Now like shit. I played on forty five. So yeah i mean if you wanna play a forty five. You can't be out here getting killed on a weekly basis. So i'm glad the in this situation. He acknowledged that he has to accept blame here. You know he. Essays accept responsibility is a better word Because you can't blame all this on the seahawks just obviously not just their fault The other part of this conversation. That i thought was more interested in something. I really want. Everyone else's input on is that russell wilson was said that you know. He cited brady paid manager. Breeze other top quarterbacks who who have or have had the kind of input in personnel decisions that he desires he says. I want to be able to be involved because at the end of the day. Is your legacy. It's your team's legacy is the guys you get to go into the huddle with at the end of the day. Those guys you've got to trust when you think about one of the reasons why it's how it tampa was. Because he felt like he could trust those guys and coach. Bruce arians was going to give him the opportunity. You think about guys like lebron james. He was able to be around great players that he could trust. I think for me anytime you bring free agency or other players. You want the best players guys who love the game guys who want to be part of that and as a player you kind of know that you get to be around pro bowls you get to see these kind of guys and you get to the huddle with lime in the receivers where you get to be around offensive guy so you kind of build that over time and you get to see who can really play as a player you really know. I think that the relationship is really key. I think that relationship is really key and dialogue especially being a veteran player. That dialogue is really important. This is interesting. This is interesting comment from russell wilson. Right now He also was asked if he's involved in conversations now for personnel personality. Said not as much as much as he wants to be Do you think it would help. If he's more involved. This is so this is really interesting right. Every player you would think would want to be more involved in personnel decisions because every player thinks they know the right call. Somebody probably not every player. I won't say that some players are axes questions. They say it's not my decision right. That's a team decision. That's general managers decision as a coach decisions above my pay grade. However the answer it abso-. I'm sure some of these guys want no part of it but when you have a quarterback you guys like russell wilson. He really wants to be more involved. Which kind of like man. Okay how involved. You let a guy like russell wilson. Being this. he's talking about guys. He goes to the pro bowl with and you know he plays with them in the huddle like i wrestle. We can't bring in every pro bowler number one to the seahawks number two. Don't you think if a player players in the pro bowl players really good. The seahawks management knows already at the management isn't bringing him bad players on purpose So i think more so. He wants to like when they bring in players to talk to them. He wants to be like he wants. His opinion axed he wants. What do you think about this guy. Russell what do you think russell you play with him at the pro bowl. Russell how do you feel about them. You know what will how do you think he misses. What our team. He just wants to feel important Feel a part of the decision. Making and i'm curious what the clock doubters out. There think about this. Because i'm sure there's some of you who feel like. Hey four players should play football and general managers and coaches and front office should sign players and is the players jobs to make you work. You know to build that camaraderie to build that chemistry on trust each other. Russell wasn't almost makes it feel like he doesn't trust players on his team. I i don't like some of the wording that he used there. It's almost like you know. Hey tom brady is the trust all his players. I don't get to trust mind. That's almost how it comes off. If i was seahawk fan. I'd be a little annoyed with it. You know but overall i get he just wants to be more involved. He wants his hands on things This way if things go bad he can sort of blamed himself for Rather than just defer that blame to other people i also think is interesting The we all see russell. Wilson was at the super bowl they showed him and his wife sierra talking to roger goodell and so he was also asked about Oh actually i. Before we do that he was asked about whether he thinks the seahawks have a about a potential trade and they trade him and if teams have called about him he said that he thinks you know teams have definitely called about him He believes that's just kind of part of the process for players that produce on a weekly basis like he does which goes back to the conversation that we had about. Derek carr and how teams calling about your quarterback is nothing odd. It's nothing crazy It's nothing weird for you to take those calls and the team says even though you know you're going to say no to basically That's what the seahawks are doing. This with every team is doing so russell. Wilson is aware that he understands that He says you know him. Being traded as a decision for them not for him which is funny because he decided he wanted a more say though so almost wonder what he was saying. He was axed but.

"This is an insight about Russell Wilson at the beginning of the season, even halfway through the season, we all said they're three quarterbacks that her head and shoulders above everybody else. Magical homes. The guy in Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson, he says. What's clear now is that Russell Wilson does not belong in that conversation that he is the tier below those other guys, and that just killed me because I like to think Russell doesn't get enough legitimate attention and he was on fire the first half of the season. But I am afraid that you might be right and that's crushing to a lifelong Seahawks. I said this on the air. On Cairo at the beginning of the season. I said this, I said Russell Wilson has never gotten an M V P vote. He's never deserved one and he still does not. And the same is true. He doesn't deserve it. And he's not an M V P Wow. Well, I think he might be. I certainly think he's better than you know. Two thirds of the quarterbacks out in the league, and I still think we're lucky to have him is just not yet. He's not transcendent. Maybe as we'd like to think so. Okay, Well, I'm sure we irritate a lot of Seahawks fans and probably irritate a lot of people that don't care about the Seahawks. But that's okay because because ah lot of people still care. And they wanted to be analysis, even if it is deflating from dres. Okay, thanks a lot on that We'll go ahead and again. Look at the roads with Tracy things getting any better. It's not a little rough last time where I mean,.

Looks like they're trying to take a shot. Freddie swaying down there and the Ramses played really well. You got let employ them coming off the edge, and what a year he has had. He has been outstanding. I thought it was really interested in talking with defensive coordinator Brandon's Daily, he said. Let employees is Is as good an edge rusher as there is in all of football, whether that's rushing the passer playing the run, dropping into coverage, and he's proven that a guy with a lot of ability He's had a great year for these random Floyd was right there in his face. He's just had his way with Russell Wilson all season long given to him and just the four man rush again. That's pretty much all they've done throughout this game.
