"But six to success in the postseason. And he hasn't done that yet, And now we chirping about it because he knows he hasn't done that yet. But he's pointing blame the other places other than looking at himself, which is why I don't think back to my original point. How I don't think he handles criticism very well, because I think it takes a very aloof War old, overly egotistical on. I'm not trying to really come that hard on Russell with that, But I just can't think of a better way to frame when you are that public and and you, you know, you shade your teammates that effortlessly multiple times, by the way, and in the ensuing days have not done anything. You say? Well, it came out wrong. That's not what I meant. These are my guys. I mean, this started Tuesday with Dan Patrick again. What day is it? It's Thursday, and here we are, And every day it feels a little Ah, little more fractured As I said, to start the show. Now, listen. The one thing about greatness. You talk about Aaron Rodgers and that legacy and the aspect of that, and he's inherently aware of it. And it should be because as we've said a few times on the show, we shove it down their throat. Yep, and all you only have one chance 02 years in. Could it be the goat? I mean, some of the conversations have really if you think about it are the height of stupidity and I'm throwing myself in there. But the difference with with Russell and this where I will really have his back not this year because he faded and he played poorly yet the final eight games, but you talk about championships and and to contextualize his career. I do believe that he has like to make. He elevated them just to merely get to 12 and four that you were just saying I'm saying that we'll look into say you lost the home game to the Rams. I mean, you're not gonna do anything this year. Okay. If you want to live in it that way. That's the end result. You got bounced on Homeworld. You were favored by two or three points. Whatever. It was a nominal number. Um, you can certainly position that is a game. You maybe were kind of supposed to win, even though we both picked the Rams. But the point is, is that I think there were a lot of years in Seattle where you know he elevated them into the meaningful part of the conversation. When quite they had no business being in there. They just aren't good enough. Yes. So I'm gonna give him all that credit and all the props he deserves there. And also when you backed up by the stat, and this is a fact. That nobody in NFL history has won more games at the quarterback position in their first nine years in the NFL that encompasses Ah, lot of great players, right a lot of years. And that statistic is Russell Wilson. Yeah, so at the end of the day, I I agree with you bt he people are times starting to speculate on because they move on from him there. They're not. That is not going to happen over by the way. I disagree, but go by all means I There is no way the Seattle Seahawks unless they see themselves going in. To rebuild. There's no way and I don't see that right now. I see them trying to find solutions to their issues more as as a better path. Towards a a Super Bowl or deep playoff run. Whatever you want to say consumables. Obviously, it's very tough, but still a deep playoff run. It is. It is much more plausible that they do with Russell Wilson as their quarterback and accent their roster than to get rid of Russell Wilson and then bring in whoever it is, they're going to bring in a quarterback. And try to build around him that the success of that the likelihood of that being successful is very, very small. So I don't believe that they're trying at all to move Russell Wilson Unless Russell Wilson goes to them and says this is done, I'm over. I'm out. I wanna I wanna be somewhere more high profile. So me and my girl can be. You know, whatever. You know, influencers around the world. The only way I see that happen is if Russell Wilson forces it and I haven't heard that yet. I have heard that either, but I don't think he's going anywhere. I don't think Seattle is going to preemptively say, Russell. You know you're pissed us off. We gotta get rid of you. I mean, that doesn't make any sense. So that's not gonna happen. I agree with that. That's where I'm going to stop short of saying where it's completely untenable. But I believe and and somebody else is sort of this. I don't know who it was. I would tell you. I just honestly don't recall. But as soon as I said, I'm like, yeah, that that makes total sense Where Because Russell Wilson, like Jeter is very choreographed and what he puts out there for public consumption. Everything with Jeter was relative now last year, so Russell's field himself in a way. That, and that's fine. But But Derek never really quite was that emboldened to, you know, open up his shirt and, you know, loosen up a button and let their hair down. He was always very corporate, very prepackaged that it worked for Derek. And you know, I don't think it's ah, far deviation from his character. I think one of the great, certainly great players, but one of the great people in the game and the game of baseball. No, that's not like an act II derricks a pure guy. I think Russell Wilson is, too. But I also think that Russell Wilson's greasing the skids for the easiest exit because Teke I keep going back to the office happen on Tuesday. All he had to do was whomever he trusts the most. Whether it's somebody With the NFL network with ESPN. Somebody would CBS somebody at a local radio station, a PR company, Whomever you plant, the one seed and you completely redirected narrative tickets? Yeah, quits. I'd let it blow up. Well, let's let's dig into it then because I think the I like the reality of any human In a professional setting that is becoming unfulfilling is you're gonna start peeking, right? You're going to start saying Well, it might be better over there..

"Than half a million acres of trees. Underbrush an animals. The mountain is part that straddle the border between Tennessee and North Carolina was teeming with life. Don had barely broken and the forest was already inundated with more than a thousand people. They weren't the usual scores of tourists and campers who visited on a daily basis. Now in the summer of nineteen sixty nine. These people were on a mission to find a missing child. Dennis Lloyd Martin. They combed the wilderness and slowly pushed their way through the brush. The Hot Summer Sun beat down on them as they looked for any sign of the lost boy. They'd been searching for days. They were growing desperate suddenly. A cry rose out. The searchers turned their heads was that him was their search finally done. They hurried through the brush to catch up to a member of their party. Who stood looking at the ground? He'd found the first piece of evidence in weeks a series of footprints clearly visible in the underbrush the same size as the missing boys reinvigorated. The searchers followed the trail to the banks of a nearby stream where it stopped. The dead end was the perfect metaphor for a hunt that would stymie investigators and the park service for decades. No matter what clues they uncovered or tips. They heard the search team would never find poor young Dennis. Welcome to gone a podcast original. I'm molly and I'm Richard. Who went missing on a camping trip in nineteen sixty nine? He was only out of his parents eyesight for a few minutes before they noticed he was gone. But that was long enough to vanish without a trace. The abrupt and inexplicable disappearance has led some to suspect nefarious forces where play on June fourteenth nineteen. Sixty-nine the Martin family from Knoxville Tennessee suffered every parent's worst fear losing a child during a camping trip. Their son Dennis leftist father's side ever so briefly but in a matter of minutes he was gone and extensive search was swiftly launched more than a thousand Park Rangers Boy Scouts Soldiers Emergency Service workers and even volunteers combed the area for months. In spite of all their efforts. No trace of Dennis was ever found some believe Dennis was kidnapped by a Predator looking in the woods. Others thought that more mysterious forces were at work. Some have claimed Dennis might have been the victim of bigfoot attack. Even more troubling some have suspected the government may dennis disappear then covered it up but nobody was debating conspiracy theories on father's Day weekend nineteen sixty-nine just like most families the Martins had a holiday tradition. The men always went on a long hike in the smokey Mountain National Park. They're favored three point. Three Mile loop took the whole weekend. Trekking through creeks fields and even part of the Appalachian trail. It was the first year six year old. Dennis would becoming on the trip. He joined his DAD BILL HIS GRANDFATHER. Clyde and his nine year old brother Doug according to his family. Dennis was quiet but it was still very energetic. He took his enthusiasm with him wherever he went. Including the hike starting point cades cove and even though he was young he was able to keep up with the ambitious pace on the first day. They conquered an impressive six miles that night. They camped at a landmark known as the Russell field shelter. It was as simple stone hut but it provided a roof and protection from the elements. The family woke up the next day and got back on the trail the ever enthusiastic. Dennis strode at the front of the group setting the pace for the rest of his family. The four Martins had to cover two point seven miles to reach their next stop spence field. This was a grassy clearing on the border between Tennessee and North Carolina. Along the way the Martin's ran into another family. Walking along the same route coincidentally their last name was also Martin Carter Martin and his two sons were from Alabama. It seemed serendipitous. Carter's boys were about the same age as Denis's brother Doug. The kids all got along as they continued hiking around four o'clock in the afternoon the adults called a halt and they all sat down to rest near Spence field. The dagon Dennis continued to play with the two other boys. They read off and out of earshot from the adults hatched a scheme. The mischievous kids wanted to play a little prank when the hike resumed. They'd split up hide in the woods and jump out surprising their parents doug and the two older boys would go off in one direction and Dennis would have the other way it would be a fun way to keep their parents on their toes from their seats at the other end of the field the adults could immediately tell what their kids were planning after all they knew their sense of humor but in the spirit of good natured fun they let the boys go ahead with their plan at four thirty pm the group got up to leave and the kids ran off setting their prank into motion as the adult started down the trail. The first group of boys only hid for a few moments in no time at all. They leaped out of the woods. Xiaoning Boo the. Grownups pretended to be surprised laughing at their Wiley children. However it wasn't long before they realized something was wrong. Dennis was nowhere to be seen his father bill and grandfather Clyde didn't panic. The boy had only been out of sight for about three minutes. He couldn't have gone far. He was also wearing a bright red t shirt so he'd be easy to spot amongst the foliage unconcerned began calling his name. The ever present wind at spins field carried. Their unanswered shouts far and wide but didn't offer response as the minutes past. They grew more worried. The adults decided to split up and search the surrounding area. Bill hurried along the path calling his son's name to no avail a mile down. The trail. Bill decided Dennis couldn't possibly have made it this far after all bill was fit adult spurred by fear and adrenaline. Dennis was only six. He couldn't have gone a full mile in the half hour. They'd been searching empty-handed. Bill retraced his steps back to the others when they reunited the group told him that they hadn't found Dennis either. Bills Breath quickened. He turned around and went West Toward Russell field shelter. Where they'd last camped. Maybe Dennis had gotten lost and hiked in the wrong direction. Bill scoured the two and a half mile trail when the search proved fruitless. The determined father returned to spence field to keep looking. Meanwhile Clyde Martin searched the entire seven Mile Path back to cades cove with a family had set out the day before it was absolutely no sign of Dennis when Clyde reached the trail head. He notified the Park Rangers of his grandsons. Disappearance with the Rangers help the family canvas the area surrounding the trail on foot and in jeeps they searched every possible place. They thought he could be increasingly distraught. They pulled aside every hiker and fishermen they encountered asking if they'd come across Dennis. No one had seen the missing boy by that time. Dennis had been gone for nearly four hours and it was starting to get dark. Bill told the Rangers that Dennis was quiet so he wouldn't necessarily cry out for help however he was friendly and would respond if strangers called his name. The Rangers and family members continued searching but as night fell and new obstacle appeared a storm torrential rain and bolts of lightening rage. That night almost as if specifically cute to interrupt the search. The ground became muddy and difficult to traverse nearby. Streams overflowed the already difficult task of finding a child in the woods was now seemingly impossible. Nevertheless the group continued their hunt. Throughout the night they wouldn't let darkness floods screaming rain and booming thunders stand in their way as the rain continued to pour. Bill grew more desperate. His boy was out here. Somewhere was cold and probably lost or injured. They were all doing the best they could but the efforts felt utterly hopeless and every hour that passed made it less likely. They'd finding Dennis Alive when we return the hunt for Dennis. Lloyd Martin grows and now back to the story. Sometimes a harmless prank turns tragic. That's what happened on June fourteenth nineteen sixty nine when six year old. Dennis Lloyd Martin disappeared. He'd intended to surprise as family by jumping out of the woods with the other kids on a father's day camping trip but he never popped out from the trees..

"On W. O. R. we got a lot to get through today will go over everything you need to know will straighten out some of those are fake narratives that are out there will tell you what's opening what's going to happen the latest everything I'm at home Joe Bartlett in the South Carolina of all places is it south or north no itself okay I remember it still had one not the Andy Griffith show one that's right yes South Carolina Hey I got so much email people was so jealous of you you said yesterday that you went to a restaurant yes opening a restaurant you can eat outside I got so much email to work just it is if you won the lottery got a billion dollars to keep believe you're able to eat in a restaurant you know yesterday I posted on Instagram too I'd picture me at the beach and said I love living in a blue state what so if it's an outdoor restaurant the space the tables apart you can eat there yes what about a menu today do you touch the menu and then it goes to somebody else later no no no it's it's just a piece of paper it's like a copy of the and they throw it away as soon as you're done with it and then it's disposable right well and then yeah so that's what's going to happen the talking about the the first thing we will re open you'll start to see re opening may fifteenth around here in a week or two you'll start to see something like it did you hear Cuomo yesterday I sent it to him anymore we're re opening without a the public is going to be re opening may fifteenth whether he's on board or not but even in Connecticut they're talking about certain things you know certain you know I I notice this past weekend the re opening already began I saw Verizon stores were open as a people's customers sitting in the stores talking to sales people stuff is re opening so the restaurants will go last but the first round of restaurant re opening will be the outdoor places the conspiracy the tables out in around the country stuff is re opening that also precious corn we've got sixty eight Macy's a re opening Starbucks is opening I think ninety percent of their stores Simon malls that's the big mall company they have Russell field Walt Whitman short hills Westchester mall lot of big malls I'm not around here but around the country the re opening well I think fifty malls are a hundred malls as we speak a lot of stuff is opening what they do is they just limit the number of people that can come in it's that simple you can it can be done just kicked out you can't go out yeah then you gotta remember this Cuomo a model of milk this for all it's worth like everybody down and don't give a blank about the anybody's job just like everybody down and ruin everybody's lives this model is not working this is not being done around the country so it's going to catch up with him at some point now when you re open things will be a little different that the first of all the supermarkets are busier than anything right now hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people in and out of every supermarket every day and there's no outbreaks there what did you wear the mask stay six feet apart are careful that you're not good enough to be a problem see if you're right you could do that in every store now the Simon malls they're coming up but like the food court it's it's just like you said a big table spaced apart everything is disposable the silverware the plate everything's gonna be disposable the only problem in the mall the gonna have those eros like which way you can walk yeah sorry about what could be the two other in the clothing stores now here's the problem let's see the fitting room you try something on or you pick up a person to look at it you're holding it and putting it out well anything that's tried on or looked at by anybody is going to be sequestered for like a day or two it's going to go into a special room will be sequestered to all the germs are office and then it'll be brought back out however the problem is you can try on something and that size it's gonna be gone for a day or two how you gonna as anybody else going to get it so the it'll be a it'll reopen that governor Cuomo has made himself into quite the superstar but if you look through the history of this this trajectory he is on usually has a bad ending he's quite the hero to the left they love his very theatrical grandstanding briefings but destroying people's lives by the tens of millions this is a bad thing to do you just said Scott stringer said twenty five percent in New York will be out of work one in five new Yorkers will lose their job yeah twenty percent that's the end of the York I mean you can you you can't do that you're gonna have to start opening stuff up this is it a lot of these fake narratives that the fake news starts all the time and it only increases in a crisis you know what I like when president trump came along the fake narrative was he doesn't read he can't read it doesn't read doesn't read the bright well anybody that knows him we've been around us this is only does all day is a read okay any picture of his desk and trump tower to million reports and briefings and documents that's all it does is read you can tell when you walk in was house where he was sitting just look for the pilot reports and papers and documents this is only does is read they did that would push to remember we have a read he doesn't read he doesn't it's totally fake narratives so the the one they've come up with now there was a bunch of them but when they keep using now he shows no empathy for the dead he doesn't show any empathy I by this the zip gun New York times CNN the whole crowd Emmerson bill bill run this fake narrative told everybody is parenting it they're just repeating it like little parity chose liberty for that one you could go through all the briefings cut together a montage of whenever it comes up and he talks about how much it hurts somehow he can't sleep at night the dead the families are thinks about it but when he talks about it it's for about twenty seconds which is normal that's what you're supposed to do he doesn't do what governor Cuomo does which is turn that little section into a theatrical performance Cuomo when it comes to the death number he does five minutes on this and how awful this is he looks like he's going to cry he fights back the tears.

"Oh yeah three weeks yeah so which is a lifetime on the Internet it is it is I'm more worried like you said about go. Everybody going back home and be like Oh that was funds. I on social. Let me just shots but that's not what I wanted. Don't do that things are going to like Oh. You're so tan. Where did you go her? The team's picked because because we'll look so in in the first years it was it was like dodgeball where you just you just sit there. At the captain's captains captains pick the people that are they think are the best and then you end up with a couple sad people at the end that people don't WanNa pick Olivia Jovan until children was picked last every year but that's more for a bit he wants to Libya because there were worried that crusher no turn to shoot this is GonNa make this is GonNa make no sense to people that don't know about the that was the first Summer Games where Mari was polling so basically war with a giant inflatable in between and because it was two people pulling each other your to try to get like a ball and a net yet but there was the same bungee and inbetween was just basically like a <hes> a tube an inflatable well to that looked a giants butthole and Mari and I mean at this time you have been rock climbing like you've been rock climbing for years. You got you got some Moshel and Livia via is is a little stick thing and what happened was once we blew the whistle you just immediately started dragging her and she couldn't even fight back and you basically just sucked her into that butthole completely grime Georgia the upside down yeah yeah. She stayed in that Butthole for the entire game. I don't even think she ever came out. No never been the same. She came out different sure she's I saw stuff doc you sucked into the but it was a good time but that was the first one that was that was that was nobody wanted to pick a Livia because she was the smallest and then we were right because literally that year she got competitive. We are just like we see that there's competitions up ahead and we're like all right. Who's GonNa rock this one and we're also just mean because we always chose Jovan last just to make joe and then we decide? I think think you're too. I think camp we did the team picking but at that point I think Joe and I were coming up with the actual teams and told you to pick yes because one of the balance to be right yeah fast forward today we didn't even we didn't pick teams. We didn't do it. Was I think last year we let it up to chance and it was a nightmare. Yeah we let it up to chance and basically what it did was at all the girls and Damian on one team well. We can't do this. It's all girls because Westwood have just thrown you across Russell field so this year I think we I think we balanced it out. I don't know a do you guys feel like it stacked. I feel like it's a little stacked on which side your side really think so you guys have Oh yes and ashamed we avenue yeah okay but you have a West Jovan but we've had a west Olivia Combo before and we didn't win that winter gay winters winter game but it's because of Jovan actually he messed the last relay on the ice about two way. We're so close to winning ambled so by wanted. was I on that team. I think I can't remember if you know no that was Anthony Johny APP because I was like well they won and then Jovan just had to be an idiot in terms of like I I think we actually we. We managed to not do as many physical competitions this year so I'm not as worry. There's a lot of like mental stuff. We have Netflix and chill. We've got small family family feud. There's a couple of different things I think is gonNA balance because we didn't have paintball and a West on our team. Yeah that's well. That's definitely where that's definitely where we're GONNA shine. I think what we do is is we do similar to what the the other team did in a slush games camp when we did dodgeball really okay. Wes.

"I think magic there was it just wasn't going to work and magic knew when to get out before it got any worse and Luke because the same because if it stayed at the Lakers and say they kept him on for another year. And it's more of a disaster p very hard for him to get another NBA head coaching job. And why do you want to put yourself in that position? When you know, you have a contract waiting for you, it only makes sense now again, what are the Lakers do moving forward. I I never really thought what when LeBron left Miami to go to Cleveland that it was gonna work. He proved everyone wrong and Tyler was the guy that made it happen there. And you know, a lot of people jokes about not being really the coach. And LeBron is a coach we know LeBron makes the call here. But this is what the Lakers decide to do is go all in on the brunt. When the Braun came to Lakers. That's what it was. And that's what they try to do in the middle of the season when they try to treat everyone for Anthony Davis, obviously, it didn't work out. But you have to you have to continue with LeBron. This is the situation. You can't can't trade him like we can talk about it. But it's just it's not going to happen to put the pieces around the brand that make him comfortable, and you know, Lucas on his way to coach in the Sacramento Kings. So finally, a once outlandish Russell Wilson to the giants scenario that one Colin cowherd put out in the universe is suddenly gang seem. Especially at the Seahawks failed to sign him to a contract extension by his eleven fifty nine pm Monday deadline for to Peter King Wilson will not sign a long term contract with Seattle at all. If he doesn't get one by the end of tonight's now, we also have Honey badgers tweets Taryn, Matthew tweeted, a response to pro football top Russ wants New York. But you ain't heard that from thi this is becoming. Among players. This is becoming a very well known sentiment that Russell has given Seattle his body and his time they have not taken care of the offensive line. They have not spent the money on offensive pieces. They've spent it on defensive pieces and Russia's tile. Tired of it? And he's got a new beautiful, smart wife, and she's in his ear saying you need to take care of you. And this is and I and I I again, it won't make the Seahawks better or more flexible because Russell is what Russell is a really good player. But I totally get where he's coming from here. He doesn't feel respected. And I thought Steve Young felt a little bit of this in his career and Russell field almost everybody in this league. That's good at quarterback is adored and worshipped Russell OAS. Feels like these fighting his own organization to get a decent offensive line. I'm one hundred percent with you with all that especially the offensive line. I think part of. Of Russell Wilson's reputation of being an improviser comes a lot from the fact that he's running for his life. So the fact that he can make those plays after having to improvise that way kind of speaks more to his greatness than than him just going, you know, away from the playbook. But I I don't know what Seattle does here to replace him. That's what I understand there. They may just be saying we need to risk it in China and get a young guy in the draft and build our franchise. It that way. I I don't I don't really believe. That's how you should do it. Good li- like you. Okay. Patrick Mahomes, Jared Goff like you have Trubisky. You have that Prescott. You have examples of young good quarterbacks who are on these rookie deals. So that you can pay veterans and skill players. These bigger contracts and turn yourself into contender. But that's that's four guys. Ask yourself this who the Seahawks plays twice a year going forward? Sean MC van Jared Goff and Kyle. Shannon. Garoppolo. And you think you can just give Russell you're going to be facing offensive juggernauts? You have to score thirty to win games in that division, by the way. What have Cuyler Murray? Get Trafton is really good. So you got six year against these dynamic cliff Kingsbury Cuyler Murray Goth McVeigh Shannon Garoppolo. Yeah. We're going to give up on Russell..

"This is the heard line news thunder a little little bit of struggles shooting the ball yesterday. We'll we'll start little we'll start on this season low five threes in the one hundred four nine nine loss to Portland, even though Paul George lead. Okay. See twenty six points. He went to eight twenty four from the field including four fifteen from three. And after the game. He gave us some insight on the severity of his injured shoulder. Here that familiar rhythm four days ago. I couldn't lift my shoulder fast for today. I shot the ball so rhythm tomorrow McGee shots and get back into. You know, try to get the same tonight. They actually rhythm everything soreness. Everything was good. Shot a bosses to Houston gave. So I'm hoping that's all it is not actually a very very injured shoulder. Obviously, they need Paul George. This is the worst time of year to have an injury like this because you really not going to get any time off and this is not an easy series. So is likely gonna go six or seven so he's not going to get to just relax for a week, and and rested. Or we have he said he could barely lift it up the other day. So the shooting overall team's not going to be that bad. Like you said earlier, but Paul George is a big concern. This is a very tough team best player. He was an MVP for half the year. Other thing is okay. See is a is. I actually worked a lot of games. They're not a great shooting team like twenty third league or twenty-second. They're not going to shoot their way to a series win. They're going to win this series. Playing defense dominating the glass, giving Portland. No second looks. So they don't have to shoot. They just can't go five for thirty whatever which they're not gonna do if they went if they'd gone nine for thirty five they win the game. I mean, it could have been that simple. They just literally went. They had a stretch in the second half Portland got hot and cold, and it was like a four minute stretch. And you're like, okay this because I think they got it down when I was watching. I think they got it down to like four then all of a sudden until eleven and you're on the road. You're not gonna come back and win that playoff, right? This is going to be a great series away though. So Luke Walton is officially the next coach of the Sacramento canes. Team confirmed today, you'll be the twenty ninth coach in franchise history. His contract is four year deal to align with GM, bloody evokes contracts dot wants to play fast. He wants to have fun. He wants players coaches in front office executives who all on the same page, basketball and get along and kings, Elsa finish thirty nine forty three this year. So he's not walking into the worst ever. Now. You mentioned earlier you feel like Luke Luke kind of fired the Lakers. I. Luke. Newley was going to get whacked. And so I I don't think he was flailing. Like, it was interpreted by a lot of people. I think leak Luke was working on this thing for a couple of weeks. I agree with you, this feels more like a fifty fifty split than it does to getting fired and landing and having a spot land. I think magic did the same thing magic. There was it just wasn't going to work and magic new and to get out before it got any worse and Luke the same because if we stayed at the Lakers and say they kept him on for another year. And it's more of a disaster very hard to get another NBA head coaching job. And why are you going to put yourself in that position when you know, you have a contract waiting for you, it only makes sense now again where the Lakers do moving forward. I I never really thought when LeBron left Miami to go to Cleveland that it was going to work. He proved everyone wrong and Tyler was the guy that happen there. And you know, a lot of people jokes about not being really the coach and LeBron coach we know the makes the call here. But this is what the Lakers decide to do is go all in on the front when the Brian came zoo. Lakers. That's what it was. And that's what they try to do in the middle of the season when they try to treat everyone free. Anthony Davis, obviously, it didn't work out. But you have to you have to continue with LeBron. This is a situation. You can't you can't trade him. We can talk about it. But it's just it's not gonna happen. Put the pieces around the front and make him comfortable, and you know, Lucas. On his way to coach. So finally, a once outlandish Russell Wilson to the giants scenario that one Colin coward put out in the universe. Suddenly gained seem especially at the Seahawks failed to sign him to contract extension by his eleven fifty nine pm Monday deadline. Peter King Wilson will not sign a long term contract with Seattle at all. If he doesn't get one by the end of tonight's now, we also have Honey badgers tweets, Matthew tweeted in response to pro football talk wants New York, but you ain't heard that from thi this is becoming. Among players. This is becoming a very well known sentiment that Russell has given Seattle his body and his time they have not taken care of the offense of line. They have not spent the money on offense. If pieces they've spent it on defensive pieces and Russia's tile tired of it. And he's got a new beautiful smart wife and she's in his ear saying. You need to take care of you. And this is and I am I am again it won't make the Seahawks better or more flexible. Because Russell is what Russell is a really good player. But I totally get where he's coming from here. He doesn't feel respected. And I thought Seve young felt a little bit of this in his career in Russell field. Almost everybody in this league. That's good at quarterback is adored and worshipped Russell olas. Feels like these fighting his own organization to get a decent offense of wine. I'm one hundred percent with you with all that especially offense of line. I think part of Russell Wilson's reputation of being an improviser comes a lot from the fact that he's running for his life. So the fact that he can make those plays after having to improvise that way kind of speaks more to his greatness than than him just going away from the playbook. But I I don't know what Seattle does here to replace him. They don't there. They made be we need risk it in China and get a young guy in the draft and build our Finch. Is it that way? I I don't I don't really believe. That's how you should do it. Good live like okay, Patrick Mahomes. Jared Goff, you have Trubisky. Have that Prescott? You have examples of young good quarterbacks who are on these rookie deals. So that you can pay veterans and skill players. These bigger contracts and turn yourself into contender..

"I'm gonna go Stephen a Smith apologizing. Really? Okay. So Reese Davis is gonna join us in fifteen minutes. The last time Reese Davis was on with us. He became enraged reasonable professional traffic cop doesn't understand that. It's better as maximum gas bag, man, I'm gonna tell you something I will put my hands on us. You call me traffic top again, I'm not a fan of that for. All right. So I wasn't Stephen a no it was not Stephen A. But he will join us fifteen minutes now Davis, escalate whatever that beef is. What is that sound? And let's examine it for a second. And why Stu gods is all of a sudden just thrilled sexually that Reese Davis, and I are feuding publicly on air. Why are you in the throes of passion there? Why what is happening there? Why are you throwing your head back and forth, just me and Reese Davis playing around? And you're so delighted by the you're making sex sound. What is happening there? I knew it was good radio. That's all man. It was nothing to do with you. I just knew what we were doing. There was good the second. Yes. Seemed a little on this. Yeah. So here's Stephen a gamma. Do you need to set this up apologizing? What is he apologizing for Stephen? A you know likes to keep it real a certain point. He wasn't keeping a real. So he had to apologize. Kevin Durant said absolutely positively nothing wrong here. I am telling you not that it matters hill Ebeid's to most people, but some of you out there, actually, I'm lying because I'm Steven damn when I speak about the NBA at the titular millions of people go here. What the hell I have to say. And it does have cloud saw politics or trying to beat you harmful. So that's good. We've got a public apology there from Stephen a Smith and important apology there in this time of great turmoil. When we are wondering if there's anyone who's ever been better than Stephen a Smith. It was very exciting. That sound the sound I made in my car when I heard Stephen a Smith apologize. And I texted billion Kristen mmediately, Stephen a Smith just apologized or something that you wouldn't believe he would apologize for. And that was it. For being too humble while not being humbled. It Stephen again, we'll just put it on the poll did Stephen just apologize for being too humble while not being humble. K D has said watched the game and shut up and this has been fascinating to watch. Like, he has become an embittered old crusty like he is filled with all of the defiance for some reason that it took Bill Russell, many decades of civil rights and Justice to feel right like Bill Russell fields chronically under appreciated Katie is winning championships and his storming the earth. He's saying that LeBron plays in a toxic environment and the surrounded by media fan, boys. It just sounds like jealous high school stuff an odd thing to say that that he's surrounded by media fan, boys. Like LeBron is getting this easy path. Kevin Durant doesn't remember that. When LeBron was the villain originally. Kevin durant? Got to be the quiet superstar who extended his contract the right way humbly by just going to the gym with his backpack and extending without needing a television show to do it. We weren't the media darlings with him. Then K D we were with. You. That's why he wants us to shut up because all the criticism is of Kevin Durant. None of it goes to LeBron James, but he's fighting everybody and one of the great things that he has backing him in the fight is the best thing we've ever seen in the sport. That was already the best thing we've ever seen the specify that's fine. But I'm just talking about. Let's let's examine for a second. If we could because I really don't wanna hear your your heated, your reheated takes on Kevin Durant. Again. I'm not gonna do yet. I'm just saying that's part of the equation here..

"Or like a straw or straw to attack. Well, it's, it's. It's not the craziest idea in the world. Get you off the air Terrell. I know my buddy John here is a is a is a good film guy draft guys. We'll talk about your question off the appreciates Colin in my friend. John, you know, I again, we're, I think we're giving up on John Ross a little too early in my opinion. Now, I think if we're talking this point next year early in the season before the trade deadline in John Ross still has yet to make an impact, then I think that's a viable conversation. I think we need to give him, you know, a skit, a full games, full your schedule lease to kinda see. And you know a year later trading a number nine overall pick for mid round pick. I don't know if that makes sense. It who knows if there's even demand out there at the at this point for him. So that's one thing. I do think drill has valid points with guard tackle tight end linebacker being the team's biggest needs your thoughts on both of his. Areas you brought up just have this conversation two weeks ago, feel like it. I get he he's is injury. Prone e e can't help. You may not be the extent, but you know, he, he runs, he pulls a muscle. He's out for to get it still twenty two years twenty two twenty two twenty three. His only has value to the often given time. We'd sad scars Scott contain on about that. Yeah, but definitely right. Tackle right guard any linebacker. Complaining space, definite needs for the Bengals in Dharma still need for the Bengals in if they give it of him. First, second or third on pick the odds of finding the guy who can do what he does when he's on the field, it's minimal. So I don't agree with it, but because of how much needed he is in the offense because the Miami game, I think it was noticeable in. I think it coulda had a love more success against the Steelers in the past with Russell field. So give him time like you're to not open to it, especially in a year where you've already. For cross going to be gone for a long time. You saw what Cody core did when John Ross wasn't on the field, Josh Malone who I was really big on as done nothing. It's basically the Tyler boy, eight rain show. So I think both yourself in our good friend, Joe good berry of showing some things on Twitter and whatnot to see to show at least what he does is a decoy when he brings his decoy on the field because of his speed. So I think he's still gotta say, hey, you know the Bengals if you say, if you if you match up AJ green Tyler Boyd John Ross as a trio wide receivers against much of the league. I think that's a top three top five trio in terms of overall talent in everything in this league. So I think they gotta leave that alone, especially with the I for injury, Croft injury in all of that. I, I totally agree with Terrell's assessment of needs, you know? And I, I wrote this in a postal cincy junk. I think. Man, you know that middle part of the defense, the linebackers, even some safety help. I mean, there's they still can't cover tight ends. Well, they can't cover Kenyan Drake headed receiving touchdown against him the week prior. They need those athletes in whether it's tweeter safety linebacker like Dion canon or Mike, who is at more barren, does for kind of the Rams. I mean, whether it's getting a guy like that, they need to have someone there..

We've got Todd firm and our Vegas insider are gambling expert to live in sin city one hour from now Tim Kirch in maybe Jesse Rogers because THEO Epstein has cap and Jordan told us. The media today Addison Russell will not be at the ballpark today. He will not play. I don't know what that means for the weekend. Theo will address it did not know what that means for his cubs career. Well, where where are they when these claims were made by the friend a year ago? I wasn't that a year ago and social media about a year ago. MLB investigate. And did was any of this substantiated will MLB opened up another investigation. Police invest was there. The cubs investigated the police investigate. There are a lot of unanswered questions out of questions out there car if I'm the cubs, look, and you do have to do your due diligence. You gotta find out what pokey was doing. This is very easy for me to say. But if I'm the cubs, I'm thinking long and hard that it's time to move on from Addison Russell first of all you're selling low here kid. Well, you are. But I mean, do you have is there a better option? Regardless of what your investigation return ready to move on from Addison. You haven't heard from Addison? Russell you have not Russell ever talk to the media. I was gonna ask Jesse that. Yeah. Do you ever hear I feel like we never play Addison Russell soundbites? We never see them online. Jesse never talks about talking to Addison. Russell is it just me. Intercut fans just ready to move on. He's only value at this point is tied up in his defense. And he's a very very very like, Lorenzo Cain. He's exceptional defensive player. Even without a great arm. He's a great defensive player. All the metrics say that the eye test for the most part tells you that. But the cubs are in the ridiculous position of having have your bias on their team. Who might be the best pure athlete in the sport today for crying out loud. Right. I mean, he might be. I think I think he the L to Lindores. I think there's a lot of great athletes. The cubs have this ridiculous. Benefit of having a guy like a hobby by that could just play the position the only value left Addison. Russell is in his defense. He he has zero as an offensive player at this point. It's got five home runs. He's got a three fifteen. I think on base percentage there is practically no value in Addison Russell as an offensive player. And there's been almost no value in Addison. Russell is an offensive play the last two years even with all that said, I mean, the the allegations are the ones that are damning. Oh, I'm just saying, and that sort of my my point is I with everything that has happened from a baseball standpoint. And now these allegations by the ex wife, if you're the cubs, even though you're selling low, aren't you ready to be done with Addison Russell, I would be. Do you believe his baseball career should be over? No. That for a question. I'd wait to see what an investigation returns before. I jumped to that. I'll be honest. What your junk jumped the yet to the illusion that his career? Should what do you think? The cubs situation is here. Then what is the cubs organization? Does anybody in this situation? I think everybody's owed a fair investigation. How long investigation take does. He not play until the investigation is completed and finalized. That's a good question is everything taken at face value. Does he not play again until they can all I'm doing now is asking questions. I don't want anybody out there to take. I'm taking sides. I'm not taking sides. I'm bringing up all prudent questions in this type of situation. I that's a very good question. It's tough one to answer. I would say. An investigation like this could take weeks, right? Could take months just take marm the finding to get to the facts to check all the communications texts. Emails phone calls. Anything that's been recorded pictures. All that time is the right thing to do not the plan. But what if your investigation turns up, nothing you find that it is unsubstantiated? You find that? I'm just saying like, then what happens to the time lost for Addis. Russell is that fair to him. I don't know. You know, mental cruelty and mental abuse. And verbal abuse is still abuse. Course. I don't disagree with that. Just because you don't see bruises on an iron disagree to some abuses. Not taking play. I'm with you. One hundred percent on that see it's a very delicate situation you go into here should the cubs be done with Russell three one two three three two three seven seven six. That's the phone number. "Friday, June thirteenth, nineteen sixty nine, six year old. Dennis Martin was on his first overnight camping trip. This was part of a long standing Martin family tradition of Father's Day outings in the smokies with him. His nine year old brother, Doug his father who was a Knoxville architect. His name is Bill Martin and his grandfather CLYDE Martin. The group spent the first night in a location called Russell field, and they camped with Dr Carter Martin of Huntsville, Alabama and his two sons Russell field is a grassy clearing in the forest with a panoramic view across the smokies the next day, June fourteenth, the group went east on a ninety minute walk to a spot called Spence field. Some quick specifics of Spence field. There were two shelters located there. Now the Appalachian trail, ROY. Runs east and west through Spence field, and there were two trails and one Jeep road that lead to Infrom Spence field to other destinations there at approximately four thirty PM the four boys were playing a game of hide and seek and grassy area of Spence field, and they thought it would be funny to hide and then sneak up and scare the adults in their group Douglas and the other two boys went south and then west little Dennis by himself headed for a spot to the northwest towards the Appalachian trail and into the force. Yeah. And he went into the forest, but his father saw where he went to hide. Literally a few minutes later, the boys jump out of the woods. You know, in an attempt to scare or startle the adult. Ha got, however, Dennis does not jump out of the woods. He does not appear, and he was nowhere to be seen very shortly. The after the adults would ask to mate ten minutes. So at approximately four forty pm, just a few minutes had passed without anyone spotting or hearing Dennis his father. Bill Martin was calling out to Dennis and looking for him. Obviously, Bill then followed the Appalachian trail west for about a mile before heading back and then he headed west again, this time all the way back to Russel field only to return a loan to Spence field, and there's no sign at all. Dennis, there was nothing of his. It was found during this quick search while the boys father was making his journey, the grandfather CLYDE made his way back down Anthony creek to cades cove roughly eight and a half miles and reached the ranger station shortly before eight thirty PM. This was to summon help. And at this point it began to rain very heavily with a very nasty storm. Well. Every parent will know, this is your worst nightmare. You can be in the grocery store and you turn in your child's not there, and it's like your heart sinks all the way to bottom of your gut well, and I want everybody to kind of picture this. Okay, because I think it's easy to work through this and I tried to find an exact time that they had left when they woke up that morning and took off on that..
