"You stole my thunder earlier. By the way as an intro to the fight i was going to say teddy. Not much to talk about this weekend. Maybe we could pick up on the college football something but you already told them that. We're going to talk about the heavyweight fights. So let's get into the undercard. Adam colonoscopy gets a rematch against robert helenians which was a bit of an upset when robert beat him. The first time. I at least i was surprised crazy. How crazy is that. That whole lenny. Who still big dog. A pretty sizable dog shows you. That sometimes these guys like when my heavenly eileen for sonny liston and lists seven seventy one favorite ally you know obviously stops them and then the rematch listens to favorite store and i mean it happens. It happens but people gave no credit lettuce and look at what he show themselves to be. He's shown themselves to be just a tough guy that was given really you know was given opponents that will favorable to build a record or gambian very nice. It was given those kind of poets. I mean i know that he beat he. Beat harry all was forty four years old. But that's and. Chris gave a tremendous and kudos to chris. What a warrior he gave a tremendous effort to ruiz against ruis but still Ariola had been through a lot of losses a tough times you know. Obviously he's past his best so he beats ariola slugfest and and then he gets he gets stopped by eleni is and then they go and they make karakia favorite again. We're dead not seeing what kentucky is not. So you thought i was gonna say kentucky is no. They're not seeing what he's not. He's not a fight with would probabl- properly defined skills with good technique. He's he's like wilder. That's i mean really. We speak the truth here. It's a shame what. I look at my. It's the same as i look at water in some ways. I think what a shame. Because but i think like a teacher thanks. I think what a shame that nobody of a tortoise lionhearted guy how to fight what is shame that nobody ever taught him the basics of fighting. And i think about what to blake. Great mickey duff. What are the great boxing. Promoters of all he used to say teddy. This guy gets insulted. If you miss them. I mean i. 'cause tomato would've tripped and said teddy. Somebody needs to tell this guy. It's not illegal to move his head. I mean it's absurd in my business. You know what i look and say. These guys aren't taught anything with all the heart. They got the difference between of course him and wada. What was born with a lot more talent. I've been well water. Water has great genetics. Wada has superior talent so whether superior atlanticism will just get right to the point. Power as i always say punches are not made. They are born and wada. Has that gift but why go now to fight either. Quick thing about one quick thing about that fight though and then i want to hear what you thought about. The actual fight is that kohanovsky. He took a beating against helena's it was like lanier new. Wh what he had in front of them from the first fight adam didn't do anything to improve in the second fight in the the second fight just was a continuation of the beating in the first army. Beat the crap out of every round to the point where adam was blatantly hitting him with the polish packers shot right outta andrew ladas playbook. I couldn't believe this one tool. Okay we try to get out slow. And that's once he's constipated sometimes. Okay the commentators sometime in okay. The commentators sometimes play politics. They sit in the middle of they will say something that they think is gonna upset somebody. Why the not that should job. But it is case they will right they will right now he was he was trying to get he was trying to get out and and he was one of two things but he's trying to get out but the other thing is as trying to obviously hurt the guy. Slow the guy down from doing what he's don't told me you see. He's in other words he's in a desperate place Nurtured place where he doesn't have any answers but also if he gets out by hidden guy low then it's not like he gets stopped. You know it's it's a not all but in his mind it is my right. It's like if i get disqualified. It's a little different in his mind under fire at that moment. It's a little different than getting knocked out of well. You use wilder as an example wilder to me gained more fans than he could have ever imagined. I have a new level of respect for wilder cookie. What it did exactly. What sugar ray. Leonard did in the first round fight in a loss. He gained he in that laws. Gained as you just touched on the respect of defense that he never had before because the way because the way behave. Yeah my point with kornacki. You'd be better off to just keep doing what you doing in. Take your lumps but to do that. To get out throws away that entire effort that you might have put in otherwise swamp gonna add some to what you said about going into this fight. Picking up way left off. I'll change it gonna as a little some a little a little more definitive and a little more a little more important from fighters perspective of mortality. That i took more out of him. I think than people realize you know not everybody. Is george foreman. George foreman very special man as a person and as as a human being as a person and also physically that what he could endure he come back ten years later and win a world title at forty five and what. He could adore very special man. Not everybody has the capacity to endure the way that enjoyed former. Did and i'm here to say that. What will missing a boat on a little bit. Maybe is how much that first. Speeding with helena's took out of kentucky. You know. everybody only has if we're going to. We're going to kind of put it this way. Only have so many punches in them that they could take Is you know. It's like a rock. You hit a rocky hit a rock. It doesn't go anywhere. You hit the rocket the rock and and then maybe on your five hundred fifty thousand strike on iraq a piece chips off and that's what that's what. The endurance leveled the capacity of hits. The rock had on it. You don't know what that number is on. Human being. Everyone is different and that number is a little different for with people like george foreman and maybe people even maybe we'll find out down the road that's when you find out maybe even people like water. We don't know what that number is but we might be at that number will kentucky or very close to it. Because if he's got between between the punchestown attentional low blows. That's like that. That that's what i mean about. He could've got knocked out and moved on with his career and he could have made the argument..

Adam colonoscopy robert helenians ruis Ariola karakia wilder wada mickey duff kentucky sonny liston andrew ladas eleni lenny eileen ruiz adam Wada wilder cookie helena football

"I appreciate that. No no question a big couple of weeks in the heavyweight division big week last week and you were there in london for anthony. joshua was second career. loss alexander. picking up three pieces of the heavyweight title. Let's start here gareth. You were there in your mind. The biggest reason anthony joshua lost was what out books the books and he was gun. Shy they go game plan room and it was hustled out of the fights. Early tried to get back in the middle rooms five and six. And then. I think it's a. It's a strange expression to use a gauge sensiti josiah on alexander. You sick but all manned out the rest of the fight by boxing but by thirty two full boxer without without fouling will hate him but his albo Dropping his head on him or clinching him or showing the it was determined not to lose the world. Heavyweight belts name is going to go rhino shield. And he'll be very disappointed but he gets a rematch. I'm nothing At knowing the three roads to you sick right. that's fair. I had an eight four for when it could have easily been nine three. I think i gave j. one of those early rounds to me. I agree with you. He lost because he didn't have a great game plan. And we can get into that. And i don't think he's the same guy since. Andy i think this was the first fight where we really saw the ripple effects of the lost. Andy ruis in two thousand nine thousand nine. The rematch with res was boring and that in part can be blamed on release showing up two hundred eighty plus pounds. Not prepared for that fight. You didn't see it there. You didn't see it against colbrad poulet because pool love is over forty and nowhere close to being on anthony joshua's level against do sick. He fought a guy arguably the most skilled fighter spot to date who was not afraid of him who had a little bit of pop and joshua looked like he was afraid to let his hands go. That's what i saw on. Tv how much of that do you think is true. Agree with you on everything and afraid. I'm not sure. Because i think there's a newell stiffer difference between gun shy and afraid. I think he's afraid of anyone. That's afraid. I thought he was slightly folk. Did we always do this. We look back so we're little details event when it goes wrong for someone and less villainous. All everyone's talking about the boxing world sense joshua right now which might view just a plums at that festival. He still game is still decide for everyone..

"Fish. There i remember some of that. But where's that the un amounts northeastern utah big mountain range. They're the only mountain range in the western united states. That goes east west. The only mountain range goes east west palm. Yeah that's very cool. When did you start taking. Fly fishing more seriously. Well i started fly-fishing. When i was nine that's when i caught my first fish on the fly rod And then i got pretty serious about probably. When i was about eleven i would say and then by the time i was twelve. It was out of control. Like you know you jacked up about it. Yeah i was begging. We're begging neighborhood parents to take up the canyon and drop-off For the day. So there's a few little streams that come into the salt lake valley there and literally if we would just get dropped off on a saturday and then our parents who come back at dinnertime and guess you know type of thing you'd never be able to do with your kids my love that i love the i love those your all american stories. You know where kids just grab a rod and go fishing in the afternoon after school and yeah some great memories there i just i remember. There's there's one stream in particular that used to have this old dam on it that thankfully remove now. But and now it's been rehabilitated. And reintroduce cutthroats but back then they still stock to this whole damn with with rainbows. But it had while brown's on both sides of it and everything so i learned how to catch fish. They're pretty much throughout my my youth there and it was fun and then catfish to high school and you go to college Have two degrees. So i have a degree in ecology and then one in Fisheries biology. okay. He called jian fishing. Biology fisheries biology fisheries biology. Okay and What school my undergrad. I finished it. Idaho state. I started my fisher stuff at utah state but then one of those moves that we had and my wife got promotions. We had moog idaho so So yeah i finished my undergrad it. I'd host eight. And then i got my graduate degree at colorado state. Actually here in four concept okay. When did you meet you like what what period along the way we got married while i got married when i was twenty years old. I was back in two thousand five when i got married. Van though right oh cool and you were guide our guide. I know you were. i was yes. I stopped guiding last year. Basically okay. I haven't booked trips for the last year and a half pretty much. Anything do crazy. Yeah i still like to fish on my own so it was either keep guiding or yeah of my own days for fishing and that was a lot of provo yup mostly where i got it there. I i also got it in southern colorado for a couple of summers down around Southwark and pagosa springs and sitting here a little bit of cross utan colorado and then. What is the craziest guide store. You can remember. It can't be shared on this pause. Okay let's let's let's just say it involved the client and some fecal matter and oh okay so leave that one off. The bike was the second craziest guys. Well i'll tell you a good one okay this. This is a happy one. i. I've fished the provo know entire life and one day i was with a client named steve ruis great guy at oklahoma who retired and basically dig dedicating his life to fishing which is fantastic and he came to improve some urine vingt skills and and he had already he was one of those kind of star clients where he actually done some work beforehand and gotten good enough that then all you had some things to work with yeah and we were fishing a stretch of river that ivc big fish out of over the years a big fish in this stretch rivers twenty two inches long something like that. Yeah you might see a twenty four inch or once a season brian. We rolled up on this this corner pool corner pile rocks and and i thought you know normally it kicks out a decent number fish and we rolled in there and he wasn't catching any fish and i was like what's going on. He's been slaying them for the whole rest of the day. It's one o'clock in the middle of the day in august right. yeah and like everywhere. Everywhere else is good. Why isn't this and so. He caught a little out of the back end of it. And we're working into the head of it and i'm going there has to be another fishing here. What is going on. So i was just about to change fly pattern and i asked him to just do a little jig drift with zero rig and on the first time. He did that as soon as he lowered the rod and it got tight again. Fish takes and i was like. Ooh i seems like seems like a pretty good fish and we didn't get a real good view for a while but we had this nice long shallow rumbelow that luckily he was able to just walk down. And how the fish back and forth. But eventually i saw it and it was an absolute behemoth of trout. By far the biggest child i've ever seen in the provo river personally while any we ended up landing it and it was I taped it. Who's just over twenty seven inches and it was almost ten pounds. That's amazing and he caught on six and a little bit you that's so cool on like Like a three way like. Oh yeah yeah yeah. It was fantastic. That's awesome. I actually have a blog post if anybody wants to read about. There's i wrote a story about that. One yeah yeah my blogging. Scroll back we want to watch that Now it's tactical fly fisher dot com. Yeah and then you just click the blog at the top and vector very cool. I've heard you say well. I don't know i was listening to some podcast or on video or maybe we're talking but i have heard you say the first thing you do when you get to pool or river is you take a temperature of the water so i take temperature usually right at the beginning of the day and then probably at least twice more throughout the day just to kind of see where things are progressing and really would've goes down to do. That is charter. Cold-blooded they are very their metabolic. Rate is very tied to the temperature of the water and that metabolic rate also helps determine where they're going to be in that river if it if it's high they're running on also cylinders the temperatures in the fifties or low sixties and their rearing to go. Then they're gonna be in some water types where they can get lots of volume of water coming pass them per unit of time because that brings more food per unit of time and so it's good feeding or so putting meal- pocket water riffles heads of runs and pools things like that. But if it's like it is right now during the winter and the temperatures in the thirties or low forty something like that and it hasn't risen at all during the day. Then you gotta look for more to be and really slow. Deeper water energy saving water essentially as water throughout the day just by that temperature. I can often change where i plan to. Target fish in the water types that are available. Show where before how whereas before. How right okay. Because it doesn't matter how well you're fishing you could be the best presentations and have the absolute perfect fly and the right rig for everything but if that water just doesn't have fishing it right now because they have occupied somewhere else because of the metabolic rate then it doesn't matter there's no fish to catch up and so always wear before how you know. The first step is finding where fish are then. You can decide how to catch okay. But you gotta know where they're going to be i and that's one of the biggest clues that will help you with that. That and along with hatches and things like that in fact in my book the first entire chapter which is the biggest chapter look is all about the where. And why. and it's all these variables to observe before you even tie on a fly that will help you determine where and how to for even going. What type of temperature's should we be looking for you know rainbows and browns and.

"They need that i think it really is the simulated pressures the creeper pressures the look like. You're bringing seven dropped seven into coverage only bring foreign somehow still get a free rusher. That's the only way this works. I just don't know if they have it in them. Yeah i appreciate caitlyn's answer. Which is that the ravens win. Only patrick mahomes doesn't show up to the game. I think this looks like a marquee game in the nfl. Put it on the schedule early. Because it's been a marquis game. In past years with the ravens health situation they were already going to be underdogs coming in. They've shown that they struggled to beat the chiefs with health situation. Yeah i i. Don't see the avenue but man. I really do hope that martindale got something whether it's in this game or fees table it until maybe we get the chiefs in the playoffs. He better have something some response to how to deal with this this this kansas city matchups. He had say. Let's say they do win. Do you think it's a high scoring game or low scoring i think is is bringing you. Best bet is outscoring the chiefs. So that's basically lamar is right. I don't know the the linebacker room in kansas city against the browns was just just unbelievable to watch like it every year spags gets me. I'm like look at this depth chart the chiefs defense can't be that good and watches linebackers play like they're just not a very good unit with daniel able to get away with that. You're able to get enough critical third-down sacks critical third-down pressures get timely. Pass break up here. And there force a few Touchdown all of a sudden. You're still in every single game because the guys on the other side. I think that if the ravens can get through the first level in the running game right bat offensive line but can get through the first level with read option with deceptive designs. Lamar enticing williams should be really really good boston through the second. But we're getting into the third level. I think they can rip off a lot of explosive runs. And i think if they blend time get a strip sack. Get a pack us. Score points off turnover. Now you're able to keep pace but explosives is what has to be. It's gotta be it's gotta be arrested in there. It's got to be explosives in the run game. Probably i don't think they can rely on passing explosives. Although sammy watkins had a few big plays in the game. But i wanna see counter bash at least twenty times. Maybe already running every play. Make the whole plane out of counter bash all right patrick best quarterback in the nfl playing the ravens the second best quarterback in the nfl according to my friend. Stephen ruis plays this week Stephen justin herbert takes charge versus cowboys. Wise this game of the week for you because you said. Justine hurts the second best quarterback he might be the best quarterback in the league. Steve at you gotta say responsible things now. This gets yeah. i'm not. I'm not going that far. But no his state from week one. I thought it was good. Just watching the broadcast on sunday. But when you watch on on the all twenty two like. I'm not exaggerating. When i say it's near perfect tape and it might be the best single game tape i've ever seen from a quarterback. Yeah i'm willing to say that it is like i. It's not like he's doing it in a similar way. That mahomes does it where he's doing like alien type things like he's he's doing things you don't want to teach other quarterbacks like herbert did it within the confines of the system. In on time he didn't have to scramble he only was credited with one. Big time throw by. Pf but like you watch set film in every throw seems like a big time. Throw that other. Quarterbacks can't make i don't know how he only ended up with one but it might just be he made it look so easy and that's why i'm willing to say he's already a top-five quarterback. He's he's elite. I'm calling the right now after one game. Samsung is for stephen root. That's all i need. That's that's fair. I think you have a good eye for it. I think the best move is just. The whatever quarterback is about to play the cowboys defense. You just say like less than he's playing out of his mind right now. You should watch them next week. He's going to be great doesn't matter who it is but he's about he's playing well but the thing is like the cowboys defense wasn't great against the bucks but brady had to make some ridiculous throws against like i'm thinking about the mike. Parsons play where he's covering gronk on the crosser and parsons is in perfect coverage and brady just puts it where it needs to be. And then there's like the antonio brown throw where he scored the touchdown. There was a bunch throats but the thing is herbert can make those throws and dallas got no interior. Push against the bucks. And i feel. That's the way you can disrupt herbert. Especially if he's having to make these strong throws downfield like it's harder to make those when you have defensive interior rushers in your lap in the cowboys just aren't capable of doing that. They they didn't have one interior. Russia finished in the top fifty among interior rushers and pass rush accordingly if not in the top fifty. Not one. that's going to corey lindsay this week. Roy herbert's gonna have plenty of time to pick apart that secondary which is not a good secondary kaelin. Let me ask you this. Because i know you've been in the building with the chargers and we were chatting a little bit about that right side of the line. They brought in a free agent in debut obuchi to play the right guard spot And then they have brian gulag. Who's vet really good right tackle. But a little bit long in the tooth coming off of injury. I feel like line was solid against washington. Right side of the line was a problem. The most important thing is that the chargers have improved their up into line. They can stay healthy one weekend. How are you feeling about that effort. That's what they put most resources this season. How we feel I mean we're feeling okay..

"When you talk about and what about marion jones again. What you're talking individuals ample what what about major league baseball. You still own storm. Listen you're still giving individual examples like no one tops. Russia their team pop. That means the government in his own board. The coaches on like we need you to be. We need our country dominant. Everybody jump on this shit. Come on bro. i can see you know. Obviously jose can and mark maguire russians. You know again individuals. Would you got me on. I look all series. As i understand what you're saying you're saying there's a difference between kind of state sponsored cheating and the individual cheating that kinda takes place a repeat what i said because you took your headphones off. You're saying there's a difference between kind of state sponsored sheeting ledge of taking place in russia and the individual cheating in the united states. But you also gotta remember that sports in the united states is set. Up as a do-or-die everyone's out for themselves individual endeavor you don't have amateur athletes pretty much You know where. It's their fulltime job to represent the united states in sports. You know so. It's a little bit different. But all i'm saying is that the united states eight. You know allergic to cheat and its like does ally that cheating in the united states. You know that goes into sports. It goes into politics. It goes into corporate america You know a goes into what i do like i got my little public teachers shared onto this today. And you know Recently in the news year new york you know there was principals accused of like What was it like doctoring. Like state test results and stuff and like losing their jobs and shit over it so cheating is cheating row. All i'm saying is that timmy. Luis ortiz looks like a forty two year old Your really looked at much older than that. But if i'm wrong i'm wrong now i mean. Look if we're going off. Looks i don't think he looks as old as people make him out to be. I been in jim woodham. I've i've stood next to him. I've watched them work. You know what i mean like. I don't think he looks or moves or acts age or rather the age he's perceived to be but that that's the thing like will your boy. Joel joys get credit or will you know the same people that diminish luis ortiz now and say who has he be and he's only lost two wilder You know will they give joe joystick credit. I think that a reasonable objective observers of the sport. We'll give him credit if he puts on a impact. Emphatic performance like where he's utterly dominated of them because other than wilder and let's be honest while it wasn't really dominant until he got the ko. I mean both times. It were dominating cao's but the overall performance from beginning to end wasn't necessarily dominating i would say So if you could come out. Joe joyce and just get that hammerfest jab going juggernaut style. You know marvel super villain style and just walk them down and eat punches like hugely at an just be kind of overwhelm luis ortiz. And get the ko. I i think that he should get some credit for that. You know. I think he should get as much credit as anyone could get for beating luis ortiz at this stage There are other people. I think that would be more natural opponents. Ah for him. I think deleon white would be a great opponent because to me the third-place slot amongst british heavyweight disputable. You know And i think that that would be a great opportunity to be next man up. You know. Yeah i would love this. I really love this fight. But what about my theory. That our won't do it because he'll just advise lewis like you can find your joys but i'm trying to set you up with andy ruiz because they would rather cash out a common opponent with wilder to their first mexican former heavyweight champion That was you know unified so they can further build that wilder by because if wilder and ruis fight without a title will watch it the way we watched joe joyce tackle so why not cash them out to ortiz. Excuse me ruis ruiz. Ortiz has been rumored for a while. Now ruis makes sense The thing with you guys will probably remember that. He was actually signed the match room before and was kind of shelved and people thought that they just acquired them and show them that. Keep them away from aj. I dunno if that's true or not. I'll never know if that's true or not but luis. Ortiz is not really been that active in really got a lot of shots other than the wilder fights switch. We're good shots that he didn't capitalize are So if you're him you gotta think of do i stick with pbc in hope that they put me in as the b side. Because that's what it would be against you know may maybe a a ruis or even maybe account nakae if he gets past to laney's Or do you try to test the waters over there with with queensberry and you know. See what to do against job joyce ida. I think you're using the wrong words When interpreting or assuming ortiz would do. I don't think he would use the word may be. I think he would say to himself. Dan do i take the joe. Joyce fight or do i sit and way outta give me you know ruis or someone. Luis ortiz defy like this plenty of other heavyweights in the world. Why isn't dillion white fighting. Luis ortiz. why. Isn't you know a joseph parker colon out of luis ortiz. You know an oscar redis you know. Why does it have to be an andy. So i am in a bit of iraq and a hard place now. I do understand. This is in house. Luis ortiz. andy. Ruiz its in house but i think that the last time andy was offered to dylan white fight. It was a five million dollar offer. And we seem to andy ruiz pay per view which was promoted by pbc. I don't know could that have been done better. If it's dillion away. And andy ruis and it's on disown. Does it get a better promotion. Does he get some fireworks. Are the wind ring walks. Better do they get to have a better. You know someone to walk them out. That's a little popular. I don't know what what will be the differences. Between andy ruiz's deleon white promoted by zone matchroom versus luis ortiz. And andy ruis. Pbc promoted fight. Which will be the bigger fight which will do more or wonders for aindi ruis fantastic news man friendy though i mean you know very rare to be in this sort of situation where bo for your options are are fan friendly options that the fans will both be content. Here's the thing abnormal behavior in and of itself should not be illegal and they're basically saying fine abnormal behavior. I know exactly right and this is the thing. It's like just because something is abnormal. Doesn't necessarily mean it's illegal and yet they're treating everything that is abnormal as if it is illegal right and you end up end up in snaring more people from the they're simply acting differently than you would expect. Then you do actual criminals if people put their money into. I don't know baseball card collections. I Disagree with the Second Agreement and I Hope You Take It Personally by TK Coleman

"I disagree with the Second Agreement and I hope you take it personally by tk Coleman of tk. Coleman DOT COM. I like to think in terms of alternatives not absolutes that is instead of adopting an either or logic for problem solving and goal achievement prefer to think in accordance with both and strategies. For example, let's consider the notion of taking things personally self help author. Don Miguel Ruiz has done a magnificent job at popularizing and articulating what is often referred to as the second agreement. Here's a summary of the idea in Ruis. His own words quote whatever happens around you don't take it personally nothing other people do is because of you what is because of themselves all people live in their own dream in their own mind. They are a completely different world from the one we live in only take something personally we make the assumption that they know what is in our world and we try to impose our world on their world and quote. I think that's a very useful idea and I found myself in some pretty lengthy discussions where I've defended it to people who absolutely to test this concept teaches own. I suppose. But as for me, my life has been a heck of a lot easier since I started practicing the second agreement as a critical thinker however, I like to keep my options open. Rather. Than treating ideas like the second agreement as dogmas to be believed in a regard them as value neutral conceptual tools whose usefulness varies with context. Sometimes I like taking things personally even when I know I'm not being personally attacked I deliberately choose to act as if I am being conspired against I usually use this idea as a psychological trick for motivating myself. As long as I can employ the take it personally technique in a way that's healthy and isn't obsessive. I derive great practical value from it. Anyone who's ever played competitive spores probably understands concept very well choosing to look at your competition as the enemy or the bad guys can be an invigorating experience. One of my favorite ticket personally stories comes from Michael Jordan before a soldout contest between the New York Knicks and their rivals the Chicago Bulls Knicks, coach Jeff Van Gundy accused Michael Jordan of being a con man who deliberately X. friendly towards opposing players in order to soften them up and gain a competitive edge over them. Van. Gundy's harsh words were printed in Chicago newspaper and Jordan. saw them before the game. He took it personally and decided to play with a chip on his shoulder for the entire game Jordan had a personal vendetta to show van Gundy just how capable he was having a great game without being nice to his opponents. He did exactly what he set out to do by scorching the Knicks for a red hot one points and one point in the game after hitting an important basket Sharon looked at Van Gundy and yelled at him. One of Jordan's team as reported that Michael Love to us, criticism and hatred as a way of motivating himself a sports commentator who knew of this habit predicted that Jordan would score fiftypoints simply because he would be fired up. I've Angolans words. US, right. Jordan took it personally and brought the best out of him interestingly enough. Here's what Jordan said after the game quote. Guess I. Didn't make any friends out there tonight Jordan smiles I. Think those words were more geared to motivating his players but I don't think on the court they have befriended me, I don't go on the court expecting to make friends. But when I leave the court, I don't take what happened on the court away from me. We're only playing a game. I don't view it as a war away from the game and quote. In a video clip. Jordan talks about how he used that moment as motivation while not letting it get to him in an unhealthy way. Jordan disagreed with the second agreement and it worked does illustrates one of my favorite metaphors for life life a game. As an all games achieving one's goals requires the use of effective strategies. A good strategist is one who remains flexible. He uses what works without ever feeling the need to assign the status of costal truth to any of the strategies in his playbook. If taking it personally works good strategists takes it personally if taking it personally leads to stress and self destructive preoccupation with what others think then it strategist stops to him personally. This attitude of philosophical flexibility can be extended to issues and belief systems. Ideas are just tools sometimes are useful. Sometimes are not which ideas of you when you use them, and how you react to the results is your job to sort out as you sorting through the ever enlarging buffet of ideas being offered in the marketplace be should remember the admonition of Terence McKenna quote nobody smarter than you and quote. You know more about what's best for you than anyone else. So don't take anybody's ideas dogmatically specially now mind think critically about everything. Then take what works for you and leave the rest.

"News broken last twenty four hours about who has parted ways with trainer manny robots before we get to anything else let's let's just talk about that for a second many robe liz takes eddie ruis to one of the biggest upsets in heavyweight boxing history just like seven or eight months months ago and now he eats his way out of contention to win the rematch way overweight doesn't pay attention to many robots and now many rogue as is is out i mean what do you make of any releases decision there well it's always the trainer's fault right i mean it's never the fighters fault that's the way boxing history as for the most part but manny rojas is a very good trainer he was very honest both before and after the fight and said hey look we warned him as we move closer to the fight get it together your weight is too high you know let's really start training take this more seriously let's go let's go let's go and and released did what he did and came in fifteen fifteen pounds heavier than he did for the first fight and we all know what happened thereafter so i it's i'm not surprised because it's the trainer is almost always the fall guy for for fighter losing i haven't heard specifically what andy where we said about parting ways with his trainer i don't know if he was unhappy about the criticism that manny robe liz offered after the fight but he was being honest and and and and we welcome that as as reporters i of course chris right we wanna hear guys tell us the truth not sugar coat everything and i i think manny was honest about it and but i think he'd light you know he likes andy and and and and clearly did a great job with him a pulled off one of the biggest upsets sets in boxing history and last june so it'd be interesting to see which direction he goes in for his next trainer but i mean this is on him

Colorado is the least obese state in the country, study finds

"Take a bow Colorado. We know you can because you're the least obese state in the nation. That's the latest report from the Robert Wood Johnson foundation. It shows just over twenty two percent of us are considered obese in Colorado that seems a little high, but it's good enough for number one on the list the most obese state in the country. It's always West Virginia. They've got more than thirty eight percents obese people in their state while Colorado is trending lower the nation as a whole not faring. So well, the US has seven states over the thirty five percent Mark as recently as twenty twelve no state had a rate that high it's altitude. That's what it's gotta be thinner. Keep was thin. That's right. The second oxygen
