That should not have been able to happen, too. And it's that's one of the things that once again a technology driven system is only as good as the inputs. Everyone was eventually allowed to get a dose, but non residents say they were told they would need to get a second dose someplace else. Brian Clark ABC News 29

WNBA Finals Game 1 Recap
"Anyone who follows man on twitter knows I'm I'm Elliott born and raised a dire laker fan there in the NBA finals right now? Tonight Lakers went up to on the Miami. Heat Lebron James Scores. Thirty three points with a double double Anthony Davis then your triple-double Anthony Davis it gets fourteen boards on route to a double breese Stewart was the best basketball player on the planet tonight wasn't even close and many NBA analysts would agree with me. This was. Honestly in your opinion, the years we've been covering the WNBA where does research performance night rank? WNBA performances you've watched. I, think, let's say in the last five years. Legitimately and this this includes. This includes all the Toronto stuff we've seen although all the game winning shots we've seen I think. The more dominant stretch from a player we've seen was about six minutes of sue bird. In the suber game. and. That was all so much that was from the perimeter and what brief Stewart does from all over the floor. She's just unstoppable in the post she's unstoppable and she's moving the ball. She's unstoppable from outside I. Think She's the Best Player we've seen blade this. I. A blanket A. Challenge anyone to come at me. If we're going by your five year window, she's doing this in the finals and that's where it matters the most and she's doing it off of an injury last year and I think every team in the league in a fantasy draft of players. If they redraft the whole league I think she's the consensus number one. I mean I believe there was a League's playoff game or Sylvia fells did the twenty, eight, twenty, nine. And that was impressive. Obviously I, think you're doing wholescale. Finals given context late, Adela done pushing her team to a championship on a non-functioning spine. Israeli something. This was a game where Seattle walked in as a two seed but was basically the odds on favourite given the strength and they were really. The biggest thing you needed was were we going to get what we had advertise from the stars you and I have been championing jewell Loyd this entire playoffs you've been consistently calling her future finals, MVP, Jewell, Loyd and. She. Is Hard to yeah. Looked at just her line in the box. Tonight you'd be like we're almost there. But like but but she definitely converted. Sue Bird breaks the single game. Finals assist record was one shy of the record at halftime. And why should we be shocked Meghan Rubino just wrote a player's Tribune column all about it. But. This was also a team up against Vegas team that definitely is is building their bulletin material. They have something to prove they going to hilarious run in the third quarter after being down seventeen at the half, they tied it up with a minute left in the third, a couple Julius free make it a two point game. It's a one basket game heading into the fourth quarter of finals, and it's at that exact point to restore. Basically said guys, why don't you go ahead and take a seat? Mama's got it taken care of she scored the first eleven points of the quarter and I don't mean the storms, I eleven points I mean the first eleven points of the quarter end you know that because espn was some real nincompoops and put up the graphic. That had fourth quarter points brief steward. Eleven. Las. Vegas. Aces zero as if anyone needed to know she categorically took over the game I mean this is the classic like great player mentality of. I have figured out the two three things I absolutely need to do and I'm just going to do them, and if you think you can stop it go ahead and try. But I know what I'm dealing with here and you brought up the context the ability to do that after. Technically. We're at this point for the storm twenty, two regular season games plus three semifinal games plus this she's twenty six games still into her WNBA. Return

Martini celebrates the festive season with a limited-edition Negroni chocolate collection created by Paul A. Young
"The beloved Italian Coktail Negroni is one hundred years old this year and the Shuki pull a young has been asked by Martini to concoct brand new chocolate to mark the occasion. Well Uncles Ben. Ryland sat down with Paula. littler Elliot to talk about the creative and practical processes of marrying chocolate with such such a famous drink. Plus they enjoyed a little bit of tasting along the way I have the great privilege of being approached by fantastic brands And a half to love the brand and all I have to love the product that the brand of created and for me it has to be natural. Ashby pure and ask interesting. And I've known the Martini brand for for decades. I remember adverts in the nineteen eighties with a particular on roller skates. trae Martini and the any time any place. Any were to have a Martini so so it was. It was always a happy memory for me. So when they approach and said we've got these new reserve special and brought on Rubino for Moose my East pricked up because I'm not a beer drinker. Call volume alcohol drinker. Let one night champagne and spirits. But I like Negroni old-fashioned says bitter sweet flavors because you can have them over ice on their own stop blending them and for me. Obviously I have to blend into the chocolate. So the challenge for me was taking the two commutes on brought her which is a a number color and the Rabin which is this ruby color from youth and taste them dilute pair them with chocolate. Let's try and find a combination that celebrates negroni because the centenary celebration of Negroni without the chocolate distorting the flavors and characters in the botanical in the two Moose but also the vermouth are very complex. And they've got that distinct bitter sweetness to they can easily distort the chocolate as well so it was actually an opportunity for me to work with them on getting that balance. Absolutely right Let's take quite a long time. We always think about the delicacies Kasese that can go with a glass of wine for example. What it it's fairly common knowledge that certain foods should go with a glass of wine? Don't sit down to a lovely gloss of red wine and then and and then tuck into a box of chips not good idea that we often don't think about that same sort of methodology when it comes to pairing something something we chocolate. How do you know what goes well with chocolate? It's a really good question in two parts to it. When I when I first started in chocolate a quite few years I would be guilty? If you've ever analyzing and I think it it's the way some people take chocolate which is if you're doing it professionally or academically you do have to have a process of pinpointing and finding all of us delicate compounds flavors and tastes to the point where you're deciding whether this chocolate is fine. Quality with beans have been fermented well of picked well or and so on and so you really digging in Bolt for me when it comes down to it. I have to take it back to base level when I smell it smell texture to like the taste from beginning middle and end and Roy after the after taste does it work with ingredients and now you get people who will say what wine and chocolate hard to pair. I find it very easy to pair. That's because I've tasted a lot of chocolate and a lot of wine and I can think about those flavors starting out and you taste piece of chocolate. How would you know which one to pick their hundreds if not thousands of them on the shelf to boy Oy? It's really difficult and all I say is by and tastes and eat what you like. Try It if you think it doesn't work. You're probably right because you own your tongue on your taste spots. And if it pairs well great. An I have always with all my tastings and events set to people if you prefer eating or milk white or dark chocolate with a cup of tea fantastic few think it works for you. It probably does but when it comes down to do you like if you do great no matter what anybody else says because you a half to want to eat again and again and again I'm almost runner of the cadbury cream egg at with the woman dipping hurt chips into a cream egg. Yeah well salty and sweet is massive business. The chocolate industry tree lady is not as crazy as she looked. She has no But I I do have a box of beautiful chocolates in front of me and you just pulled me a gloss of the move which was very kind of you for this time of day. A little SIP exactly Tell me tell me first. What vermouth measuring? This has gone brought us. This is the amber colored very light fresh smell wise. I've got fruit and it has to me sympathy botanical. Medicinal that's not meant to be a negative Tiv- term. I remember as a child having buttercup Syrup as a medicine and Dundee Line serapis kind of things those botanical can pass over very successfully into a Moose yes and drinks and this has that element of bitter sweet to it which if you think about bittersweet flavor dark chocolate is bittersweet already got a really good foundation and having having having a taste It's light on the tongue but the aftertaste is really really long It's beautiful sweet as well. But not over not overpowering only switch cleverly made it very sweet not overly sweet at the beginning and then this kind of botanical bitter dryness comes in the end and the chocolate made with it is the blue and gold marbled finish which represents the best colors on the buttocks. It's a beautiful bottle. Ferry Italian design obviously and sticking with Martini brand absolutely. I think if you are familiar with the Martini a line of Vermouth e you probably would be impressed by this particular RESERVA SPATULA pull. Educate me on how I should be eating the chocolates with the truth. We've had a drink of Mussa. Still got the flavor. There have a bite of one of the chocolates list. It's the blue and gold when it has a very soft center of white chocolate. We've got some Bombay Sapphire Gin. We've the VERMOUTH in there. Got Some Madagascans chocolate. which is thought delicate fruity chocolate? And very little else the predominant ingredient in that is the vermouth because I wanted that flavor to to last on the tongue. And it's it's a gorgeous balance. The dark chocolate is just bitter sweet enough like the vermouth. Once you've had the first bite and it's melted and swallowed. I have a bit more. Vermouth just passed me. A A glass of Rabin now I suppose that means that well to be polite I would have to try some of this. You would have to try that one as well this array of full of flavor for me I get kind of a smell of time leaves and herb Leary is very very very smooth. A little a bit Rich in feeling flavor and that's represented in the chocolate as well. We've got that lovely Madagascar chocolate again. But they could nash the filling inside. I just heavier more full needs a bit more impact. Bit more strength to it. So it doesn't get lost in the Renault so now that we've had some of the redeem we should be tasting some of the chocolate or I'd have made the chocolates a half dome a very smooth surface and a dark chocolate can inside Very very different indeed this one. Yeah very dock inside and a much more pungent hit it take. It took a long time to find the right chocolates to work with the to the most because Kosta so complex for example. If you choose orange which I love chocolate and orange you instantly got. I honestly know which chocolate to put with it to get that nostalgic fail. I love chocolate orange. What this it was? Try again try again try again. It's absolutely fantastic. The opportunity to have something that is quite unusual all to work with both familiar. It's funny how I haven't had either the Vermouth to start with but the familiarity and some of the botanical in. I don't know where that's from. I'm from my many years past of tasting and eating but there is something in them and all my team who tried to. There's something in recognized but I don't know what it is. I think a lot of people might say I've I've never had vermouth on its own. I've had a Martini Shaken oster Martini or I've had it as a mix of had it in an aground. Have I had it with chocolate would would I tried it if it wasn't in the chocolate maybe not so my job and my responsibility is just to inspire people to try something different. Because that's what I've had the opportunity. It's due to create the chocolates. I think you've done very well. Thank you so much. That was really

"Com for Rubino and Lange wealth partners is speaking of education it was this week in nineteen thirty five that FDR signed the social security act into law today about half of retirees take their benefits as early as they can we always hear that which is age sixty two but money magazine's Phil Moeller he believes that a little education would help people increase the amount of their monthly checks it turns out that when people learn about their benefits and how they can grow a lot of them decide to take him later and this is a big question ten thousand baby boomers retiring everyday social security a hot topic front and center what is it that people learn at your office that helps them realize that later maybe better well you know I think about a lot of times people know a little bit about that they just don't know enough about all the different ways you can claim social security certainly a topic when we sit down with somebody you know we talk about race we talk about retirement we talk about income we talk about family we talk about long term care in taxes but certainly one of those things that we always talk about Ryan I think you'll agree with me is Hey what's the best way to for me to claim my social security and and the interesting thing I think for a lot of people and they they know there's one of one but really how many different ways are there to claim you so security and this is a sort of a fun fact Mike any guesses how many different ways you can claim so security I've maybe fifty hundred try five hundred and sixty seven five hundred sixty separate yeah crazy crazy little history also security you know back in nineteen thirty five August fourteenth was when FDR said Hey you know what we're gonna put into this play invent tore sort of to come into play so security but first check was cut in nineteen forty two a woman by the name of ida may fuller her check was all of twenty two thousand fifty four wow not too bad back then on your a fresh with inflation I would like I would like to know what that number is today what that what the binder in the purchasing power today is but I think people know that you can start claims so security between sixty two that's the earliest you can start and then you can sort of you know I'm not do it let it ride is going to increase full retirement age today depending on the you work you were born somewhere between probably sixty six in two months to sixty seven but there are a lot of different ways and I think people just really need to get educated and understand some of the things that they can take into consideration that's why we have a great give away this week for people that are listening that want to learn more about social security and what you can do to to essentially get more so we have this great giveaway Mike and it's called the seven things to know about social security and if you'd like a copy it's very simple you can just give us a call here at the office six one seven four four zero nine three sixty five again it's six one seven four four zero nine three sixty five tell the operator please get me the seven things to know about social security and we'll get that out to you Pronto and that's very important for a lot of people get the seven things to know about social security right want to ask you about this because when you guys put together your three sixty five retirement plans at Rubino and Lange wall partners you guys do go over social security guys have a social security maximization program and this is really beautiful thing folks because you and your spouse can sit down and you guys actually start to to run through scenarios as far as which is the best time to to take social security and who should take it first absolutely so long we know we factor in a lot of things ninety five percent of people that come through our doors when we do the plan for them I'd say so securities part of it there's certain people with pensions and certain offsets that don't get it but ninety five percent I'd say have a team when we sit down people realize all the different ways or the impact it could make for example you have a husband and wife come in and sit down with you he might have a pension but is also eligible for social security but if he passes away the pensions gone so we might let the way the wife's so security go to age seventy because if he passes away we want to maximize her so security as much as possible exactly there's a lot of different scenarios were in I I'll run through all say you know the earliest option is here but the taxes are a huge factor when you're claiming so security too early especially if you're still working the net dollars in your pocket might not be nearly as much as you think and you're just trying to get as much out of the system as possible and we had that conversation the other day every got a lot of people think everybody sort of pays the same you're if you're so security stacked everybody pays the same that's awesome because it also not the case it's taxing your marginal rating if you have other income coming in it could be a pretty significant amount tax that's right right so eighty five to eighty five percent of the so security you take in could be taxed while twenty to twenty four percent crazy crazy in into your example I think a lot of times people going to retirement right there there SO sizing up where they are and one of things to focus on is a Hey you know what when I turn sixty two I'm gonna grab a run now because I heard about changes that could be coming for so security and you know I've read that they might be running out of money so many grab the money and run now into your point the example of a of a husband with a pension and losing so security dies prematurely a lot of times people don't recognize and understand you don't have to test take your own social security you can take something called a spousal benefit which is what you were referring to and if you're married a year at least age sixty two and if your husband is going to get two thousand dollars and the other spouse you can actually let your if you're eligible for social security you can let your social security increase and not take yours but only take the spousal benefit which would be half of his soon and that's an opportunity for you to get your own so security larger and bigger down the road in the event that the husband passes out prematurely his pension goes away now you have so security benefit that's larger the seven things to know about social security could be yours right now call a Sam and Ryan and ask for your complimentary copy and that's six one seven four four zero nine three sixty five again that six one seven four four zero nine three sixty five one more question here about social security and then we'll move on to the ups and downs of the market is driving a lot of people crazy and it all goes back to your guiding principles which will get back to here in just a second but no matter how much money we have saved for retirement whether we have five million five hundred thousand a hundred thousand we've all paid into social security and and we all want to maximize that Sam so no wonder everybody is trying to make the right decisions what's the out absolutely on that when people sit down with you guys and they get the date they get the plan to get social security that's going to be a huge weight lifted off her shoulders one hundred percent when you can actually see on paper sort of this is this is the track that I'm gonna run on rather than just guessing and hoping and maybe you know I've saved enough money hopefully I'll get so security that's going to be hopefully enough to pay some of my bills we put everything in writing we sort of take our time understand what your your what your decisions what's driving your decision I understand what your goals are we trying to do and then really laid out for you so yeah one hundred percent Mike I would agree that is a sort of a weight lifted off the shoulders and again source security if you're thinking that's going to pay and it's going to be enough for you to cover your entire retirement that's not the case it's just one piece of the puzzle but you certainly want to maximize that piece like to your point it doesn't matter if you're five million five hundred thousand we all paid into it want to maximize the benefit yeah what I think people when they see the actual number on a screen where the difference of taking early verse deferring and you can live to maybe age eighty or eighty five and how much bigger the potential number can be if you to far out then they realize all yeah I want more dollars my point is I can potentially lead more my other assets to my ears you remember what the plan that we put together for my original part of which would be now we started the company back thirty years ago and he retired both three years ago and we did the exact same so security analysis for him and he differs so security maxim ages seven and we showed him that by doing that if you live the life expectancy how much more money that you would actually put your pocket that number was not small wasn't chump change was like eighty thousand dollars more wow so yeah exactly wow I opener so if you just have a question that doesn't matter if it's just one or you might have ten questions regarding so security I think the giveaway that we have today will be very very helpful against it's called the seven things to know about social security we want to get that into your hands give us a call six one seven four four zero nine three sixty five again at six one seven four four zero nine three sixty five and we appreciate your listening to just don't lose the money radio with Sam laying in Ryan Marston of Rubino and laying wealth partners us to saving for retirement is a challenge for many Americans and the down days on Wall Street can add panic and frustration to many investors as we've seen the last couple of weeks how do you know those down days I'm like wow a you know just the other day you know you have your highest in the market then you have your whole stay at the market for a year is driving people crazy eggs talk to us about your clients and how you help them navigate the unpredictability of the market intern reducing the stress levels as they go into retirement or already in retire yeah it's but it's all about having the right asset allocation so they don't have to worry when times like this happen because if you do have the proper asset allocation and there's a dip in the market or a volatile market like we've seen over the past few weeks the assets that you have that risk shouldn't be used for short term needs so you shouldn't have to worry as much as you need it when you have the right again asset allocation or different buckets of money set up to experience the short term volatility might hopefully will not affect you as much yeah I think more right to your point I think there's two things that I think people can adjust do small adjustments that will have a gigantic impact one I think and I'm guilty of this you're probably guilty of this we make decisions based on emotions I so imagine if you're going into retirement all of your money is in the market like sometimes we see people literally all of them for one K. money is invested back in at with asset classes that can go up and go down well if you're retired yesterday and you need money to pay the grub buy groceries and pay the mortgage all pay the real estate tax and you see for one K. going down like it's probably going to going down last two weeks the last thing you want to do is to lock in a loss and self things just so you can pay the bills to the point where you were talking about having different buckets of money should have money in places for specific purposes and I think the one thing that people can do a little bit more of a little bit better job that is understanding where they're going to get a reliable sustainable income to pay their bills and have some of your assets in places that would do just that may maybe Kasher maybe other principle protected type of accounts but you know that you're gonna be able to grab money from that point that that pocket without a loss like what was seen today yeah and that goes back to our guiding principles of you know really just don't lose the money may times might when people come in to see us will sit with them and also had so why did you come in there's a well you know we listen to radio just don't lose the money we've heard that term a whole lot so tell me what does that actually mean when we put together a plan right you probably explains that whole time yeah I have people weird is they just don't lose from the money philosophy kind of fit into the picture and it's on the save money it's the money you have in the bank which hopefully you have the right amount in the bank and then you have the the guaranteed or fixed income type of investments that whether or not the market goes up a thousand points are down five hundred points it will not change the outcome of what the income you will be get cnet and when you have that set up it allows you to take on the risk with the outside assets so when you look at those outside assets like we've seen the last couple weeks you log into your four oh one K. and you see negative just seeing red is seen the total the the the bottom line go down I mean you don't feel good about it but it's not going to affect your day to day life not in listen there's a lot of news in the market for the last week the main wisdom yield curve on Wednesday morning that came out in the ten year.

But it really comes very simple. If you just follow Sam your two simple rules. That's exactly right rule. Number one. Just don't lose the money in rule. Number two. Don't forget rule. Number one. And hoping and keep my fingers crossed. I know I can do it. And that's really comforting to know that we can help educate people and help them make intelligent decisions and do the right thing in the keyword there. Sam was. Education. Would we wanna do is educate the individuals who come into our office of what they have are the on the right track to retirement how far away from retirement are they tried to go through the process educate them on that note? Let's get down to business. Let's do a good job of educating people today. In fact, what you said brings up a gentleman that I met maybe three weeks ago. We did a workshop he came to us afterwards. So he came to us because we can do everything on that note under one roof so that individual there, he's what we call walking into the retirement red zone user football analogy..

The Raynaud guy just got called up from the minors singled home, Nick MARTINI, and other guy on the miners earlier last month to win that game in Oakland ASTRO's beat the dodgers to one on Friday as they got the win behind Justin Verlander he was very good. I understand him in the rematch of the World Series from last year Verlaine when seven and two thirds innings. One run allowed four hits. One walk, fourteen strikeouts. The one hit he allowed was a home run to Jack Petersen. His or one run run. The lab was to homerun a Jack Petersen his seventeenth of the season for the dodgers. Astros not get a home run, but they didn't need one as it's called tune that second. And that's all in needed to win that game two to one in the final game of the day as the reds nationals game was postponed due to rain in DC. Foul game was Bluejays beating the Mariners seventy-two as they beat up on market Marco Gonzales a little bit. In this one, he got four runs over seven hit over seventies of work.
