Washington LB Reuben Foster reportedly carted off the field with apparent knee injury

"Six the ever-evolving saga former forty Niners linebacker Ruben foster took another unfortunate turn today as just minutes into Washington's OTA's foster went down. What is said to be a knee injury and had to be carted off the field? Washington received a great deal of criticism when they signed foster after the forty Niners released him following a domestic violence arrests. The final straw for the forty Niners after what had been a slew of off the field trouble for foster which dated back to his combine appearances prior to the forty Niners even drafting him foster had been on the Commissioner's exempts had not even played a single snap for

"And I confess to that. You know, I'm here to learn about quantum Alexander. Who's twenty four years old? So he goes young he's younger than Reuben foster. And this is all rooted in Reuben foster. This is the guy. This is the position Reuben foster was supposed to play for the forty Niners. Reuben foster is now in the Washington. Redskins. He is no longer a forty Niner. So the forty Niners needed somebody. They had Malcolm Smith they were not overjoyed with him. He actually took a pay cut to stay on the team. Now did Malcolm Smith. I mean, I remember him being on the field. Maybe one game. I mean like he really didn't play. He played a fair amount. Didn't he I don't know, man. Right. Nah. I didn't hear his name Morley at all. In fact, we can get back into that. Because somebody saying that the forty Niners are the John Lynch regime is showing a tendency to respond. I didn't know Michael Smith Trojan completely slept on that deal. Oh, yeah. Was he a great Trojan Super Bowl MVP? No, no, not really. He was just it was just a Trojan. Paulie, he played twelve games last year. Started five started five, okay? Not much action on the field though. He had one pass defense. How did you miss? It always worth it then. Yeah. I missed totally. I don't know where where were you? What were you getting some? We get some nachos. Mike children at when he defended his past shadow chill, dude. But anyway, so yeah. One pass defense. So now gender is at an LSU. There's some interesting details on this guy. He's a fourth rounder. He already has a PD suspension on his record. That's what I'm saying. So has got a sort of Barry Bonds and. All the baseball players who get destroyed for their PD use shout out to the NFL. Oh, he has a PD bust yet. Good one can play take four weeks come on back here. Wednesday back when's he back back in October. The American sports fans brain between baseball and football on PD's is hilarious. Man hilarious. We are just absolute barbarians when it comes to football. I think the football is like the delta house in animal house and in baseball is like Bushwick country club, George Maryland right with smell smell want to call up some Carlin there Leland. You can never go wrong with the baseball versus football a bit short little like twelve year old Jameson from twain hearts never heard it. I hope you've played for your kids. I haven't yet. They're going to love it. In fact, I played that for my kids when they were both playing little league baseball genius is clean. It's just a brilliant piece of com-. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe. In football. We marched down the grid iron and methodically plotting. You haven't heard example like that in baseball. The goal is to go home. Save me. Save baseball. We sacrifice. Yes. In fact, we got it right here. This is Quan Alexander's PD suspension. Nobody cares in baseball. Everybody cares because baseball such a sacred sport. You take it away, George Carlin. Baseball has no time limit. We don't know how long it's gonna last. We might have extra innings football.

Steelers WR Antonio Brown involved in domestic dispute, not arrested

"Well, guys everything's ever since things went south between the Pittsburgh Steelers and wide receiver Antonio Brown. The forty Niners emerged as the favorites to land a talented, but testy wideout and now that may change it came out this morning. The Brown was involved in a domestic dispute in Hollywood, Florida in January, but was not arrested. Brown's lawyer Darren Hytner is called the allegations totally false and said the media was trying to tarnish his client's reputation. The Steelers said they are currently trying to get more detail on exactly what happened now back to how this impacts the forty Niners in my opinion. They're trying to do everything they can distance themselves from situations. Like this after they've had a number of high profile high profile incidents involving Reuben foster as of late now. He's no longer with the forty Niners. And there were other cases like that the preceded foster last April. This is what forty Niners general manager. John Lynch had to say about the forty Niners. And domestic violence this again when he was discussing Reuben foster if these charges are proven true, if if Ruben did indeed hit this young lady, he won't be a part of our organization going forward. I think that goes that's the standard. We want on our on our team, that's the standard we're gonna operate under. Now, if this story with Antonio Brown proves to be legit, and there was potentially a physical altercation. I would not expect him to be a forty Niners uniform, by way of a trade come this offseason. But if it's a gray area, then you always get into the dreaded talent to trouble

"It's the fine. Did it? Do. Do. Dude. Did it? I did it. Doodoo? Are you even listening? I'd turn you turn me off termi down. Yes. He can turn on the ball in your God. Anyways. Welcome back. We're on the final segment here. We have some bits and pieces. Oh, actually this morning on good Morning, America. Ruben fosters ex-girlfriend. Spoke about just the incident that happened in Florida where he allegedly abused her. As an heard thoughts and her thoughts about him being signed by the Redskins days after his arrest. She was quote shocked when she found out and the fact remains like the story goes it's kind of interesting to say, the least she says that like they she paid her worry paid for flight to come to a top with the relationship or something. But he was seeing somebody else already, and he was she was going to say, I'm gonna call your girlfriend right now. And see if she's okay with this. I don't understand why she kinda threatened him feels like a little bit. And then supposedly this is all alleged people. He took the phone out of Ryan and slapped her in the face and pushed her down, and she had pictures of the bruises as well. That was on good Morning America. But it's still a big question. Mark of what really went down and how this all trans. Spiraled. What are your thoughts on this? Bark. Where do we begin my thoughts on on her on Reuben foster on the Redskins on this whole just on like, what her story says do you like do you think it's true? Do you think I feel like her and Reuben foster or to people who have a very complicated relationship? They put it. Let's start off there. I think that there's definitely been some abuse. And some regard here, I don't know if it's all been physical verbal, I think it's gone both ways. I'd be surprised if it didn't if it was only one sided, but it seems like this volatile relationship has spilled over a few times. Now, this particular incident. Reuben foster getting arrested in the hotel her saying, the forty Niners to like, intervene and all that and telling police that she had accused him of this before and then recanted. And all that I don't know what to make of it. Honestly, a lot of me thinks that what she's saying is legit. But also, she's speaking from somebody who maybe, you know, hurt physically emotionally. So it's hard to kind of get in there. I wasn't there. It's hard to determine what's fact what's fiction her going on good Morning, America. I think is a terrible look for the NFL and think it's a terrible look for the Redskins. And I think we're looking at someone who now is going to be at war with Reuben foster in the NFL. I think that this situation can no longer be avoided, and she won't be recanting any statements this time. So I think that this. It's like, she does some credibility goes, right? Like makes this even a worse situation to be honest. And it's just pictures of the forty Niners trying to stop the arrest actually say that I don't know. I don't know. There's just to stop the arrest is a strong thing. Cues a team of. But I just think overall that. It's really hard to believe what the true story here because both have like even both sides of the story. We we I can't trust either side to be completely honest with you because like she were candidate story before and he has just been arrested multiple times in his in Hinz his past and somehow to be at least true, right? And it just feels like that this all seems to be very complicated. Like, you said and just puts really black eye on the NFL, mainly honestly and all things considered because how many times have we seen this happen where player gets arrested for domestic violence and his punishment, quote unquote is being released and then signed to a contract the next day..

"I've been I've been I've been really wanting to hear what you had to say about Karima and all of that. And I've just been in meeting the heaven heard I thought it was inexcusable. I thought the fact that first of all you don't do that period. Secondly, you know, you had to be restrained by your boys. We usually talk about the company that you keep in. He know how you can find yourself as situations. There are at least four males that were trying to restrain him from doing it. He had to be restrained from doing this stuff. He's moisture in the face. He shoved one of his boys into her, and she knocked against the wall. And then went to the. Floor. And then after that, and you thought the situation was going to be somewhat diffused. He came back and kicked. So all of those things count against him immensely, then you take into account. The fact that he lied in the face of the GM VH of Andy Reid, according to who I spoke to quotas. The people spoke to he lied to his face. He lied to Adam at her Andy Reed's face, and he lied to be enemies, positional coaches face. He told them all nothing happened. I never put my hands on anybody. And they didn't have the video once they sort of video it was a foregone conclusion. So I'll look at it from that perspective. And I'm saying there's simply no excuse I I mean, I'm I'm tired of guys being you know, folks trying to find a way to explain this support. I find his situation completely different Booker from. That of Reuben foster Reuben foster is being alleged to have committed domestic violence against a woman who went before the courts and admitted that she had lied on him before because she was upset that they have broken up and the co. Also found that she had lied about a previous boyfriend both for Reuben foster over the same situation. So to me the jury is still out with him. We just don't know. But in the case of Kareem hunt there is video there, and you could have helped yourself and more just as important help the Kansas City Chiefs by lease being forthcoming with them who had all the incentive in the world to try and help you and your willingness to lie to them to me is ultimately the most incriminating element and all of this. So with that being said as it pertains the Reuben foster. A-? And I do like what you said. Do you think that the Redskins were right wrong or come awaiting see when they claim Ruben fall? I think they take a wait and see approach because obviously you don't like it. It's not a good look. But at the same time, it's not as is. It's not as crazy as people are trying to treat the Redskins as it being because he's on the commission as list he's not allowed to play. He's not allowed to practice or anything like that. They just hold his rights in the event that a conclusion is reached that he can play. So in light of that. I don't mind it what I did mind was the fact that are franchise owned by Daniel Snyder with Bruce Allin presiding as the president would send the resonant African American in Doug Williams out there to speak supposedly on behalf of Reuben foster with Doug Williams, clearly not, you know, not not the most talkative person in the world, and you know, along with other things this is not the ideal. Person to speak on the matter. But he goes out there, and it doesn't even speak about Reuben foster glosses over the whole situation is if we're talking about the entire issue of domestic violence, and he labeled it as not that big of a deal because there are people in high places to quote him directly that have been guilty of far worse. So he came across this minimizing it which to debate. Here's the thing..

Kareem Hunt apologizes, says NFL never interviewed him about assault

"You know, it's been a tough time for man. I'm extremely embarrassed. Because of that video I last Michael junior here on ESPN radio and the ESPN app, the videos disgusting, like we I hope we it's being spoon fed to us. This is disgusting. And this is the unfortunate part is it always seems like we need a video to believe these kind of acts are possible in these situations that the burden of proof always seems to be that high. So there's that which we can help with all of this begins and ends with Kareem hunt did an awful thing. And then we are led to believe in the chiefs came out and said Kareem was not truthful to us about the nature of these events back when they interviewed him after this incident. And so the chiefs said this video constitutes new information to us were making this decision. He wasn't truthful with us we can't condone this. He's gone. And a lot of people said that feels reactionary now I wanna play to bits of sound for you from Sunday NFL countdown yesterday. This is Louis Riddick are ESPN NFL front office insider talking about why he believes just including the lies that Kareem hunt was released by the Kansas City Chiefs in that interview, rather it just doesn't come off. Right. It doesn't come off as cream really grasping. Exactly. What is going on here? And how explosive this situation isn't how important the situation is. And he really let the kids see cheese. No choice. I don't believe that. She's just cut because there was no video. I believe it was because they really just didn't know exactly what had happened. And he they asked him what happened. And they and he's still did not know rather didn't come forth. This becomes the confusing part here is because the chiefs interviewed him within the NFL takes over this investigation. And it's league protocol where if the league starts an investigation the team will stop investigating and let the league take over. And I assume that just in a general sense seems to be trying to avoid a conflict of interest that makes sense in my mind, but the question. And then can be asked if the league didn't interview him and the chiefs couldn't get a hold of this video a lot of people are going to ask the question. I don't think it's unfair to ask if the NFL or the chiefs didn't know how much did they really want to because it seems like now this came up, and it's it's very reactionary doesn't seem like a lot of this process was proactive, and I was talking to our ESPN senior writer me at times yesterday. And the point got brought up that this in part could be due to the way things went for the NFL when they dealt with the Ezekiel Elliott case in the suspension surrounding that. And how so many people thought they were overstepping their bounds with Ezekiel Elliott based on the amount of evidence. They had their disposal. And so if you're the NFL you've got that swing of the pendulum after it was the complete other way with Ray rice and with Greg hardy and with Josh Brown. And with all these players were people in think you didn't nearly enough. And so that's the other part of the Sam ponders the host of Sunday. NFL countdown spoke about the message this sense from the NFL going forward message. Hopefully that we're going to start sending two women and two men who care in this country is that it doesn't matter. If you love the NFL in rushing last year, it doesn't matter if you're on all our billboards, or whenever you put your hands on a woman, we're done, and I hope the NFL can make that a little more clear the investigation process than they did this time I last year on ESPN radio and the ESPN app, and I thought Sam did a good job of resetting that conversation coming off of Koreans interview. Because there is a lot of we sit around, and we judge the interview, and we judge the suspension links, and we judge all these things I always wonder how productive they are. Because again, it's easy for us all to get up here. And obviously talk about how disgusting this is to see it on tape and how wrong it is. We all know that. We're not dumb. But then we get Jasper Lucas tweets is in cream hunted that interview because he's trying to line up another opportunity with another team. He's still lying. He hasn't shown remorse, and if I'm an NFL GM, I wanna see him out of football for at least a year during which he's doing domestic violence related community service, etc. That's the other thing is I don't think any of us know how to handle this. And we don't listen to enough of the right people in this because I sat and I thought man what's the length of the suspension going to be like for Reuben foster cream haunted. How far will that go for the league? And again, you can address PR in that way. But when you're trying to address the heart of the issue the way so many people in the NFL claim to want to do what do you do outside of just signaling to fans because this is a guy Kareem hunt is going to be back on an NFL football field. So in the meantime, what do you do to make sure that he comes back better? What do you actually do? That's becomes the part. That's infinitely more important. Here's how do we protect the victims in this? And how do we make sure that if these guys are going to because of their football town, we know end up back on the field. How do we? Ensuring if you're the NFL, how do you go and actually live up to some of the things that you're talking about as far as player development and ensure that these guys if they're going to be back come back better and not just come back punished in a way that's going to satiate the mob outside of your door. It's a it's an extremely complicated issue one that won't have any resolution now, but one that will certainly get into more later coming up on golden window as well. We'll switch gears completely getting back to the world of sports and get to the one staff that caught me completely off guard this morning, that's next. It's first and last here on ESPN radio the

Kareem Hunt says NFL never interviewed him about assault

"Past week something else has happened guy by the name of Ruben foster who had a run in before with the law and domestic violence had. He had another one just days after appearing in an orange jail jumpsuit accused again of domestic violence, the Washington Redskins are offering to put Reuben foster in a burgundy and gold NFL uniform the young linebacker who is face game suspensions and a weapons charge was released by the forty Niners after this latest incident. Yes, yet another incident he's released he's released because of what he did to his ex slash girlfriend. Eric. Trip. My phone number. Let me and my face claiming foster is a controversial move for the Redskins as police and the NFL investigate. He can't play for now. Yeah. But he's got talent. And he's twenty four he can get to the quarterback. The other one could score. Will you walk a fine line? It doesn't look good for the NFL cream hunts knocking to play the rest of this year. He's not. The Reuben foster thing is an interesting thing. It's an ugly. Look for the NFL that somebody claimed him off waivers. You know, why they did that first of all these twenty four. Secondly, the woman who is accusing him has already been caught lying once before when she accused him before. And here's where bad judgment comes in. If somebody accuses you of something awful, potentially destroys your life and your livelihood. And you choose to go back to them that shows that you have poor judgment. There's no guarantees ever gonna play her gas with you. I mean, he's that a lot of work to do personally with the team with the NFL with himself before even thinks about playing football. Again, the NFL's got a lot of thinking to do. But I think we all know this. If you have talent you're going to get far more chances than somebody who is essentially done. Thirty year old Ray rice, wasn't Twenty-three-year-old Ray rice. So he was no use to anybody. He probably at a year or two left Twenty-three-year-old Kareem hunt potential MVP in the prime of his career twenty four year old Ruben. Foster can get to the quarterback. They'll get over this to some degree. But this is the kind of stuff. This is going to happen. Shitting happen. But in the end, the Dallas Cowboys defense Israel. That's the takeaway from this game. Ladies and gentlemen, the offense. Wasn't that? Great. There wasn't anything to write home about. But that defense is something special. And I am a fair minded, man. Had lied on a previous boyfriend in regards to domestic violence issues that same girl that same person. Who Reuben foster decided to take Tampa with him? Redskins pick up linebacker days after domestic violence arrest

"Was a linebacker for the San Francisco forty Niners. You got into trouble over the weekend on domestic violence charges down in Tampa. And from there the Washington Redskins have determined. They were going to sign him at he was released by said forty Niners more on the story now. Brian Clark ABC news. That's just a quick synopsis. I have what are the details. Now, we'll Tony Reuben foster very talented linebacker from Alabama as you said he had top ten talent going into the twenty seventeen draft but fell because of all feel concerned he was the forty Niners essentially took a chance on them thirty first overall than last off season he was arrested on felony domestic violence charges. His accuser, then recanted said he made the story up. He was also accused of having an assault. Rifle. So he was put on probation. He can't own guns. But then just this weekend with the forty Niners in Tampa hours before a game against the buccaneers. He's arrested at the team hotel for an alleged misdemeanor incident involving that same woman. So the forty Niners announced Sunday morning they were going to cut him Monday. And then Tuesday the Redskins scooped him up and signed him. Well, that's got to be a PR nightmare for the Redskins. But it appears the Jay Gruden the coach of the Redskins in the team ownership doesn't really care about that. Well point though, Tony because Jay Gruden met the media yesterday. But the team ownership Daniel Snyder the president Bruce Allin day didn't they're nowhere to be found. They have not spoken publicly about this. Doug Williams, the director of player personnel for the team. He released a statement saying we talked to some of Rubens teammates from Alabama who are on the Redskins, and they were supportive of this. But two of them have said, no, they didn't ask us anything about Ruben foster. So there are some questions about the what the ownership has to say about this. But that's where the coach Jay Gruden did speak yesterday. He took a. Kind of a cautious approach. We said look there's a lot that has to take place before he plays for us. There's the legal system has to play out the NFL disciplined system and there's the Redskins policy right now. He's on the exempt list. The commissioners exemplify that means he cannot practice or play with the team, but he can attend meetings. Well, of course, there's been some issues with the NFL and players who have had domestic violence issues and this all culminated in policy changes by the NFL. So where's the league now? And this the Commissioner's exempt list is really the main the most recent change we've seen we saw that in response in high profile incident a few years ago where it's sort of a grey area where it's not a player being suspended. It's essentially a a, wink wink suspension where they can't play they can't practice, but they're not officially formerly suspended. It's essentially letting the process play out. So that's where the NFL mainly is right now the league does have a policy, obviously, a zero tolerance policy for domestic violence. So there will be. Disciplined from the Commissioner's office if this is proven to be true. But yeah, it has been an ongoing. Story for the NFL ongoing story really in society, and it's not a good one.

But foster was arrested in Tampa Florida on Saturday night less than twenty four hours before the forty Niners faced the buccaneers Tampa police said foster and a woman were involved in a verbal altercation and at foster slapped her phone out of her hand pushed her in her chest area and slapped her with an open hand on the left side of her face. It wasn't their first domestic incident on October take it February eleven let's go back there on February eleventh he was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence. Since and possession of an assault rifle a loaded sig Sauer, five sixteen rifle was discovered in on a bathroom floor. The domestic violence charge was dropped in may when NS recanted. Her allegations that foster and hitter, but foster pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor weapons charge. It was given two years probation and banned from possessing guns during this time. So it goes on to say in this piece that in addition foster served a two-game suspension to start the season stemming from an arrest for misdemeanor marijuana possession in January. He was a first time offender, and he also says that he also failed a drug test in two thousand seventeen at the NFL combine was sent home early after getting into a heated argument with a hospital worker. Foster was considered a top ten talent. But of course, his off field issues medical concerns. He dropped down to the thirty. First pick foster who's twenty four was arrested at nine ten local time Saturday and booked in the county jail eleven eleven he was arrested rather he was released Sunday afternoon on a two thousand dollars bail Reuben foster that is the conversation. Now, let me dig a little deeper here. The reason why I'm telling you this story about Reuben foster. Is because the woman that is that I talked about here. Miss NS quantum Josina. Santa Clara county district attorney Jeff Rosen said he has exploring the legal options after former forty Niners linebacker Ruben foster who is on probation for a gun charge in the bay area. Was again booked in jail over the weekend. This time in Tampa Florida on suspicion of domestic violence. Rosen released a statement on Monday morning one day after the forty Niners released foster twenty four following his Saturday arrest at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay on suspicion of one count of first degree misdemeanor domestic violence battery. We are sad though, not surprised and exploring the legal options Rosen said in the statement the cycle of domestic violence. It's frightening and frighteningly powerful every day. This office faces the challenges of keeping survivors safe and holding domestic violence, abusers criminally accountable foster who is out of jail after posting two thousand dollars is accused of. Attacking his on again off again girlfriend. Eliza NS Twenty-eight during an argument in their hotel room. Tampa police on Monday received a nine one one call of the incident. My ex-boyfriend took my phone and broke it and slap me in my face. The woman in the recording later identified as NS told the dispatcher the operator asked NS if foster was still at the hotel, and she answered that he had gone downstairs and has said she did not need paramedics for her injuries. And is is in Foster's tumultuous relationship has been marked by calls to police and legal trouble. Prosecutors charged foster with domestic violence after Anna's told police he attacked her at his Los Gatos home in February and is though later recanted her statements when prosecutors filed charges the district attorney's office, though, still preceded with the case setting up a dramatic courtroom confrontation during a preliminary hearing inmate and has testified that she made up the attack after foster broke off their relationship, prompting Santa Clara county Superior Court Judge to dismiss. The charges as we said when the judge dismissed the case against Mr. foster our commitment to domestic violence survivors is unwavering Rosen said Monday foster later, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor. Weapons charge. For an illegal rifle. Officers found on the floor of his bathroom and was sentenced to two hundred thirty two hours of community service and two years probation in July the NFL suspended foster for the first two games of the season. Following the plea team general manager John Lynch at the time said the forty Niners will continue to work with him on making better decisions and eliminating unnecessary distractions, but then in October officers in Santa Clara responded to a domestic disturbance incident between the couple after a neighbor called police. Investigators took pictures of the scene, but found no evidence of a physical violence and left without making an arrest. Officials said a forty Niner spokesman said Sunday the team was unaware of the October incident. The district attorney's office now has a number of options. Including refiling criminal charges against foster related to the February domestic violence arrest. Filing a motion to revoke his probation or both the whole idea was he was supposed to obey the law and stay out of trouble. And even a new case in another state can qualify as a probation violation said legal analysts you've Clark a former Santa Clara county prosecutor who now works as a private defense attorney. But recharging the case from February will likely bring a multitude of challenges for prosecutors specifically related to Anna says credibility, her prior statements would be admissible and unless she had a very credible excuse as to why those statements were not true. I think it's going to be a difficult case for the district. Attorney Clark said San Francisco Chronicle staff writer, Megan Cassidy contributed to this report. "Beat up the same woman wants before she recanted. And she said, well, then he needs to stay away from her. Yeah. He also these life in order. He don't need to be playing football. Right. I don't care. How many guys on Washington? The Alabama would've vouch for they couldn't vouch enough. Even if it's not true. I know she recanted. The first time it's just the kind of thing, you know, what keep him out of this for a while let due process it gets time. He should not be anywhere near a football team or football field anytime soon, and I get that they're going to be people every now, and then that are falsely accused we all remember lacrosse stuff like that. But you know, what most of the time we're finding out in these situations. It did happen. So stop stop giving these guys teams especially when the Jaguars are starting Cody Kessler this week. Mark Sanchez is backing up for the Redskins and Colin Kaepernick can't get a job. He's better. And I'm not even a fan of him as a football player. He's better than half the quarterbacks in the league right now. You're right. Eight seven seven three seven sixty six sixty six nice fun night. There's always anytime anywhere. "So three days ago. The forty Niners Reuben foster. Was charged with domestic violence misdemeanor domestic violence. It's its second domestic violence arrest. This year. The alleged victim is Cornell dot com. The alleged victim told police that during a verbal altercation with foster he slapped her phone out of her hand pushed her in the chest area and slapped her with an open hand of the right side of her face officers. Observed a one inch scratch and her left collarbone. So the Niners. They cut Reuben foster, and this is some of the high draft pick, well, regarded football player out of Alabama. But someone who's at a checkered past and Kyle Shanahan the forty Niners. Head coach talked about the release. I guess it was late yesterday. And a lot of the players felt that you know, they had failed because they wanted to help foster and apparently had a very difficult upbringing, and he needs a a lot of structure to stay out of trouble. But they could not. Get things to go in the right direction for him clearly and be arrested for domestic violence twice. You gotta go and so the forty Niners. Let him go three days ago. Nothing has changed really legally in this situation. But wouldn't you know it there's an NFL team? Willing to sign on Reuben foster. Even though the Niners. Ooh. Knew everything about him. Very well. And clearly they thought they could make changes for foster or keep him out of trouble. They weren't they failed. They let him go and the Washington Redskins rely. He could play football. We'll pick them up. Unbelievable like, so he ended up on the Commissioner's exemplifies, so it's not as if fosters could be able to play this weekend. But for a league that obviously went through all of this with Ray rice a few years ago, we dealt with it here. The giants kicker Josh Brown a few years back as well. In New York. And still gets a recipe is second time team cuts him and some other teams going to swoop in and think they're trying to take advantage of it right away. Sick man really is. And it tells you what some of these teams think about a lot of these situations and then. Washington puts out a statement to basically defend. They're signing of Reuben foster. And. Would they say was we fully understand the severity of the recent allegations made if true, you could be sure these allegations are nothing our organization would ever condone. When did you sign up for that? Let me be clear. Ruben we'll have to go through numerous stamps, including the full legal process an investigation potential discipline from the NFL as well as meetings with counselors associated with the team before you will ever have the opportunity to wear the burgundy and gold as a player. Okay. You can't do that. As a free to get in. Good standing with the league. Let's say, and then maybe teams can decide if he's fit to represent the league and play football. And they're not in the league for a lot less than than this kind of thing. This is a repeat offender, and then this is the part of it from Washington that you just shrug. This Doug Williams their player personnel person. We decided to investigate the situation where Ruben further by claiming his rights after candid conversation with a number of his ex Alabama teammates and current Redskins players who are overwhelmingly supportive of us taking this chance. So your investigation was to talk to guys he played college football with that are. Yeah. Twenties that you know, they're a position where they just wanna win. Hey, he could play football. He's fine. With me. They'll go home with them. He doesn't represent them as you're asking him the represent your football organization, and it just. It's tone deaf for the league is a whole and especially for Washington here, as you know, none of the other thirty one teams put in a claim on Reuben foster. The Redskins were the only team, and I'm not saying you can't ever have a a second chance and get back on the football field. But don't you have to clear the legal part of it up? Don't you shouldn't you have to go through some some programs before you're immediately being picked up, and you're now within a team, you know, this is a team basically taking advantage of one of these situations to try to be a little better. Find a competitive advantage out of domestic violence. It's a bad look for the team for the league for everybody, and they've dealt with this time and again over the last few years as we have shown much more light on these kinds of situations. It just seems ridiculous to me. You go down this path again utilize a team, even if the guy's not eligible to play Sunday when you allow a team to science which just arrested for domestic violence three days.

"So the draft is tonight and espn is obligated this is really is crazy when you think and we'll get to the reuben foster situation second because have you seen what's happening there this one's fascinating where reuben foster the reason that you many of you know his name is because he stands accused of being someone who hit his girlfriend ten times in the head and broker eardrum and now she has recanted her story and told police that he was in a fight with somebody else and that he's not the one who did that to her and i don't know what's true we don't know what's true but this is exactly the murky area in which the nfl shouldn't be leading on this stuff because ruben foster right now i don't know what the hell happened but if a woman is coming forth and trying to room in ruin his career because she's been scorned and she got into a fight with someone else because there seems to be video evidence of reuben foster didn't do this to her and it's the reason the forty niners were sticking right by him saying there's more information here that's being reported but this is the reason the nfl should not be involved as the moral authority on these matters even as it tries to legislate something that legal system can't because domestic abuse rape the he said she said stuff makes it very hard in a court of law to prosecute these things in the nfl is telling you where bub that law we're going to do it and this is the reason they can't because now you get a situation the women are the victims here by grand percentages but if there is an outlier where a woman is trying to ruin someone's career the men are not going to support that in your audience the men are going to be like nope ruben fosters victim here of a scorned woman and the nfl doesn't need to be in these discussions the nfl by proclaiming itself a moral authority has made itself so that reuben foster is in the middle of this whether he wants to or not reuben foster ten years ago before goodell did all this iran fisted stuff we would've never heard the name we would've never talked about this story now it's good that we're talking about this.

"Is because he's an all pro caliber player and the team is willing to take anything extra that comes with it right or wrong anything that comes with it i don't i don't know if they should or not but calling capper nick in an ideal situation for the seattle seahawks doesn't step on the field this season so if they're not gonna know exactly how he's going to lay stuff out then it's not worth being unclear not knowing what you're getting into if colin kaepernick whereas good of a quarterback has ruben foster is a linebacker i'm pretty sure that he would have a job right now and that's that's where the team start weighing these things but it is interesting so you're telling me that if colin kaepernick were aaron rodgers he would still be unemployed right now i mean he would have a job i think we've reuben foster it's different i think of pairing the two i mean i look at what reuben foster is done allegedly i read this report and aaron hernandez had been found guilty patriots cut his ass acts like the patriots are some moral compass or anything here all i'm saying is in the case of reuben foster anger forty nine hundred pathetic right now for basically saying well you know you're on thin ice mr because that's the public statement that they said the forty niners organization is aware of today's disturbing charges regarding reuben foster we will continue to follow the serious matter reuben is aware that his place in our organization is under great scrutiny and will depend on what has learned for the legal process it already was in jed york has also been on on record saying that saying that he wanted better off feel character when he got rid of jim harbaugh but i'm just saying they're willing to they're willing to take the extra baggage because they think he can still play it it's sad though is sad like oh it is sad it's sad of quarterbacks in this league are terrible i do think though if if schefters report about the seahawks meeting 'cause rava poor think is always connected with these teams and the teams like to give him the.
