"That's right and in fact, at that level, they're more of a lead follow business than they are a marketing or prospecting business because they've done such a killer job on this and remember to our previous point when you're talking about some of these veterans that you interview that have a database of five hundred people remember that those were not random five, hundred people those were not quote leads our impressions. These were honest to God past clients or close centers of influence committee sample for years, not just throwing everybody that shows up in there. So when Julian I sold real estate yes there was a thousand years ago, but we sold real estate in the nineties Roy sold between one hundred and two hundred houses a year for almost a decade and then our coaching business took off. But one of the things that we are always do as we tag the the true source of all of our transactions and what we found after about two. Or three years that essentially almost probably sixty five or sixty percent of all. Our deals came directly from centers of influence impasse clients. Now, they came from centers of influence and and this is Julie was involved in an orchestra where we sold real estate and we would get lots of referral business from this orchestra players. We get lots of business from all these little sources that were not even past clients from the real estate perspective but social contacts are first database was in.

"Week. That Tom is company. Like I am. Carry my laptop. We're like quickly. have it up like that, so you think Tom is look, that's me. The Times that we live in right now. It's very romanticized to go out and raise hundreds of millions of dollars in venture financing with something very complicated, yes. The businesses that have worked for you that we've talked about started off addressing a frustration or in need of your own simple and low capital requirement at least in the very beginning now the only business I ever raised money for was the business it failed, and that was the reality channel. So I mean, that was the thing about Tom. We never raised money, and and because we started small, two hundred fifty pairs than it was a thousand pairs. Then it's two thousand pairs, and as we started growing, we're able to you know to bank loans and things like that to finance inventory, but I mean that's one thing. I think that allowed us to preserve who we are today, ten years later and seventy five million shoes given and. And all these things happen because we didn't have that influence. It comes from investors, and then their demands, and how fast you grow and things you gotta do so. I always say to entrepreneurs like there are some businesses inherently have to raise money for, but they'll every day if you have a good idea, and you can execute every day that you wait your idea and your company becomes more valuable and the more leverage in the more leverage. The first time. I saw someone wearing Tom's is like a really special moment in kind of like maybe an artist first time sees their painting hanging in a gallery in now I mean anyone who's been in created. Something of any magnitude is proud when they see it. Especially, they see it on. Someone needs a stranger that bought it without you like begging them on the floor right so. About four five months after we started Tom's, and this is before even in Nordstrom Roy selling them online, and mainly the only the only people wearing them are my neighbors, because all of our neighbors in the neighborhood. And and I was in New York City and I would had actually had a very bad week. I gone trying to get new customers like like the American rag. And I just struck out like I mean. New Yorkers who wanted to have nothing to do with shoe and I, and so I was going back to La kind of a little bit with my you know tail between my legs I wasn't even wearing Tom's is wearing some running shoes because I'd gone for a run in the park earlier that morning, and there's like rushing to the airport and I get to the American Airlines. Check in counter, and I'm doing the kiosk and not checking bags doing it quickly and looked to the my right, and there was this woman, and she's wearing a red pair of Tom's mid thirties, wearing pair of jeans per read. Tom's and I'm like super excited. About the same time I'm like really curious to like. Where'd you get those? What do you think about Allen? My marketing head Focus Group head. Go straight to it and say excuse me. I couldn't help but notice these red shoes. You're wearing the really cool. What are they and I'm still doing the checking because I don't act like I'm too interested. Right? Give it away and she looks at me and our is kind of wide, and she goes there Tom's Tom's shoes. Oh, that's cool you know, and that's great and I'm kind of like. Just taking his, you thought wait and Sushi says, and I could tell she was like looking at me like no, I have more to tell. Kind turned her, and and she looks at me like really intelligent. She goes. No, I don't think you understand. This is the most amazing company in the world. "Russell Westbrook is wrapped up a third consecutive triple double that. He's average on the season. I players in sixty two second ever to accomplish this. What do you think the feet means him in your mind? I think it's a lot more personally validating than Russell light say publicly. Kevin it's something that, you know, he's somebody that we all know is his whole career was kind of a chip on his shoulder, and you know, to to become the first player ever since Oscar Robertson second player ever since I was Robertson to accomplish and into around and do it again do it again. Russell Westbrook kind of lives his life as tell me what I can't do it. I'll show you how I can do it. And then so for him to kind of accomplish something that nobody ever thought was achievable to start with and then turn around and do it two more times for him in my mind. It's something that I think that really validates how in the world what what he's really kinda old about yet. You say chip. There are many believe that's a boulder sitting on probably bigger than a chip really is the the other side though, for it's great is they single individual accomplishment is for Ross this thunder squad, Royce. They haven't won more than two in a row since February. They've got. Losses recently to the likes of Dallas to Memphis. They're sitting in the seventh position. Why have they struggled with consistency? This season. Yeah, they're really falling apart because of it Kevin. This is a team that was near the top of the Western Conference. Most people felt like back around the all star break that this was a team that the Golden State Warriors should fear appropriately. And suddenly thought just jumped off a cliff and are not anywhere near the team. That was a seemed to be dangerous and a lot of that. Like, you said is is about the consistency issue. They they can beat a good team on any given night. If you look at their record against the top five teams in the NBA. They have one of the best records against the best teams. And really this was a major issue with last season's the Carmelo Anthony, Paul George Russell Westbrook trio was they would get high for the high games and low for the low games, and that was really kind of what derailed them eventually it was that same word consistency. And that was a big focus in the offseason for this team. And they started out Kevin eighteen oh against teams under five hundred and that has just slipped and fallen, and they are just not anywhere near the team that they once were know. Trying to kind of diagnose the issues. What really frustrates Billy Donovan is. It's not really one thing on any given night some nights. They just don't make free throw some nights. They don't up in the three point line some nights. They just shoot the ball terribly from three themselves and are kind of just a victim to immediate of reasons of why they lose these games. And and the other factor is this Paul George is just kind of not been MVP candidate was Ryan dealing with some shoulder issues on both shoulders and really when the team was rolling. They they were they were Paul Georgia's team, and he was the best player on the team. And that just kind of hasn't been the case as of late. Yes. Since the all-star break he has certainly dropped off because he was in that top three conversation at the all star break, thunder reporter, ESPN dot com. Voice young. Joining us our NBA insider, you said something a minute ago regarding their record against the top five teams and that leads to playoff position because right now Royster sitting in seventh spot conventional wisdom says that's great stay there. You've got you've got Denver. If you're six you get the rockets, if you're one you're going to get the warriors does positioning, Matt. Matter to this under squad. Should let me tell you. If they get the warriors they're done. I mean like they are not beating the warriors. I mean that that's that's just a fact of life for teams in the NBA this underpinning fancy themselves to be true threat as much as they want to. But if they see the warriors in the opening round the path out of that series just seems unreasonable if they were to draw the nuggets that's young team yet while the nuggets did go four no against him in the regular season. People forget the thunder went four no against the jazz last season. And then the jazz eliminated them in sixteen. So you know, the regular season matters. And you can you can take things. Learn things about matchups day postseason basketball is a whole different animal and for young team like the Denver Nuggets while they're very tough to beat. And they're building the thunder. Really? I don't think would would be too worried about that match. Now, see James harden in a playoff series. That's a little bit scary to although the thunder have had some success against the doc. It's over the years that that's a series that I don't know that you necessarily want to get into so pick. I think that they would probab-. Pick the team to win four no against them in the regular season. But again, you know, where the thunder today versus where they were a month and a half ago, you know, to to think about the possibility of singing the warriors in the first round. That's just this is something that that. They don't wanna see rois. Great stuff. I appreciate it. We look forward to talking to the playoffs, however long. The thunder are involved in this great stuff, man. All right w Batman and ROY selling ESPN thunder. "Write something like that ahead of Byron. But they still had breezy doorman only like with a thirty percent chance of winning it and Byron who are like six or something points behind as the still favorites. From what you've watched which I've only seen very little. I mean me and Martin are mostly Premier Li guys. And we just you know, we're juggling. All these other things we can't keep up with this. So what are your what are your thoughts about doormen being the underdog even though they're ahead right now in the league, I actually agree with that as good as dorms looked and leave and beat Bioern head to head already wants. So they looked fantastic. But my whole thing is I don't know if they can keep this up because if you don't remember like two years ago under Ancelotti Byron was twelve points back in January and still. Ended up winning the league. That's what buying does. They win the German league. I mean that a new coach coming in. He has get used to the system. And if you've been watching these last couple of weeks there looking very good, and they're having some convincing wins and the performances that were used to seeing from buying. So I if they won the league, I'm honestly banking on the win the league. I I don't think Dortmund keeps this kind of unbeaten streak in winning streak going. Do you think you'll be like because I think dormant won the head to head correct? Yes. So do you think it will come down to the second head-to-head later in the season? I don't know when that is I feel like they've only played one. So it might come down to one of those kind of deals. How Liverpool man said he might come down to the head to head? So I will always love to see that. I love seeing that movie that's worth movie ending where you beat the bigger guys like on the last day in some win. It's gonna come down to that. Because like I said with Dortmund Dave will knock on wood. But Marco ROY sells got injured this year. So I feel like they've been really lucky injury was and just young talent enroll telling going in the doorman seems always pan out. But I'm not sure how long it's really stable. That's why don't think firing or too concerned about the league right now. Okay. We'll switch over to some Premier League talk. Zakel is okay. I had Liverpool winning it in the beginning of the season. I still believe that. I've seen them give up more goals in the past five games. And they've done all all year long. But I feel like they can fix it up. I think, you know, even with Roberson, I think Gomez is coming back soon two full like full capacity. So what have you seen the season? What has been some of your biggest surprises? And what have you liked this year in the Premier League? Well, the biggest surprise to me is that Brighton is somehow like making it very hard for teams of scores. So that's when super surprising for me is there of like the Burnley from last year where they make you earn every you're gonna get other very gritty. Yeah. But I picked Chelsea to win the league just 'cause you know, Chelsea usually sucks, and then all of a sudden wins the league in the. Little like a rollercoaster backup hasn't panned out for me. But I I think have a joke it away. So you have city winning it. I do have city winning it. I just feel like they're going to be more consistent down the stretch. Thank unless Liverpool actually gets knocked out by by Munich, which is very likely with Virgil out of the first leg. But if Liverpool if the Philip is only Champions League and Premier Li I don't know if they're prepared for that as much as pep in his guys are. Okay. And have you been enjoying the resurgence of Manchester? United are the are they back. I have honestly after beating Tottenham. Yes. They are back. Paul. Also, welcome back. Yeah. Wow. I gotta say I haven't seen this type appall pug, but I've seen glimpses of it in the past couple of years, but not this consistent, so just absolutely dominant.

Then then all of a sudden at ten cents now becomes one dollar. So Nala sudden at. Two hundred dollars one pep actually comes to one dollar and you're in control of ten thousand dollars. So once you get really good at that. If you move thirty pips a day, that's thirty dollars. Yeah. Now, all of a sudden, you go to a standard lot, which is the standard normal lot for four x for to foreign currency market. That's your control you have two thousand dollars. And now, you are in control of guess, what a hundred thousand dollars is upping the ante the right term here. Or is that not trading the same? So a pip pip. The stock moves the involved there's more money involved. So what you're doing is. You're just taking a micro mini or standard contract. Whatever type of contract your trading is the dollar value have. So once again, you know, a standard lot if you're if you're if you're successful. Here's what you do. Is you go into new take twenty dollars? Right. And you start to traded successfully. And you take that ten cent pip seem to turn it into a dollar. You turn it into two dollars. Right. Then all of a sudden once you get successful. You take that the mini contract. You take the two hundred dollars in east. Hurts a trade that two hundred dollars and you make that one dollar. Now, you're making you know, tend to tend to twenty dollars that next one is two thousand dollars two thousand two hundred or two thousand depending on twenty twenty dollars two thousand twenty dollars two hundred dollars or two thousand dollars and each one is the same contract. You're just trading the contract sizes. So for instance, if you go into here and some of these actual move, let's say if it moves two hundred and twenty pips right two hundred and twenty pips on a twenty dollar lot. Which is one contract is worth twenty two dollars in profit. So you doubled your money. If you take a mini lot, and you do two hundred dollars, right? And it moves two hundred and twenty pips you now are profitable to two hundred and twenty dollars. And if you take a standard lot in its two thousand dollars per lot moves two hundred and twenty pips now, you just made twenty two hundred dollars in a you know, what here's the thing. It looks. It's trading. Exactly the same. It's just the size of your order. But. But the strategy of trading is the same. We're seeing this. Yes. Supply and demand in the institution. Order flow. And what we're doing is. But there are rules. I'm telling you right now. This is leverage never get into a four x trade in option straight, a futures trade a stock trade without a stop a stop and entering a target identified the gels talking about making your sets every morning. That's what you're doing identify where you're going to buy and identify where you're going to get stopped out for a small loss. And then identify where you're going to take so profit if your basic trainer Scott just starting from the beginning, you're going to Online Trading Academy, maybe start with the the free workshop that we're going to tell you about in about a minute. We're going to give away in a in a bit here too as well. Then Scott, you can start all kinds of slow like you said, but you could literally put your sets in the morning close at laptop and head off to work with your coffee. Right. You can when you go into the foreign currency market, and you go into any other market. But for instance, what we do is. We have it set up. We have a patented core trading strategy of supply and demand. I don't. Care what I'm training. So if we have the fourteen major major currency pairs, there's ten things you need to go through the checklist to make sure that you can do what enter into a trade enter into that investment. So you take all ten and you start identifying should I do this? Yes. You can is this lineup. Yes. Yes. Yes. And then you got number seven. Oh, what do you do you go to the next pair? You can only take a trade and investment when you have all ten odds enhancers lined up and that gives you the green light to do what to enter a set enter at the right price, stop loss and have a profit target. Okay. If I have nine out of ten what am I supposed to do go to the next investment? We have in the other our this week. You talked about the red light or the the green light. And what they mean what they mean is stop or go. That's it. You don't pull the trigger in the trade or or you do, and that means you have to at some point be decisive, Scott. And that is what you literally take us through their holding our hand through the entire process. Talked recently about my friend, my good friend, Bob who is taking your class Scott at his loved it. And he loves that, you know, at some point he's going to he's often his own and he's trading. But said, yeah. From the day one, they they do hold your hand in a way that a mentor would to student, right? Watch me talk about like the karate kid. Remember, how we yeah. Yeah. On wax. Right. And he didn't even know he was his mentor. He to realize it. But slowly he taught him lessons in life. But at the same point is your neighbor is very decisive. He was very strict he was following the rules, and I can tell you what he he knew that. He knew that he could be dangerous. But what did he do? He sat back and he listened to Tommy listened to the instructors he's gone through the process. He wrote everything down. He was diligent. He went back. It's kind of like this Jenkins Jenkins. Right. Yup. Was the old auto dealer daily is talking about in does he know now like an instructor's? That's what he said. I say that's the same guys. Yeah. That's the same guy. Yes. He quit. He quit. His job ROY sold his company quit his job came to decapa me spend time once again same situation, he was very decisive. He walked through and he's rules. He said I'm going to follow the rules, the business mind to your business guy. It's a business used to rules and ways to doing things. Okay. You have a business plan. Right. Every business should have a plan if the business plan, and then what you do is. When you start to see things waiver you change your plan a little bit. But you don't change your whole. Dan. And that's what this is about Packers introduced a new coach this week. He talked about having us, you know, the plan. He doesn't just come in and not going to wing. It. Don't you think he's gonna have a plan? He's got to play any of the plans not gonna work. Right, right. There's just plain doesn't work. You changes is going to change the fire everybody, it might be one per one coach. And what does he do? He finds placement Trump though, with someone that you have Trump voters soy spiral. But what does Trump doing a roundabout way he takes? He takes people that disagree with them. You takes people at agree with me spreads around. He gets all different points of view. And then he makes a decision. He does. And he's not afraid to make the decision. Even if there's flack, right? We ain't going back to the apprentice, maybe you're fired in that becomes kind of a joke. But you know, what he wants if the guy's not do what he says. And that's the same concept here in the markets. Yeah. You know, what you buy a stock goes against you? Guess what you made a poor decision and get stopped out first loss. He's not your average politician. Either Scott, I think you have a good point about that. There's a reason that he's bringing in all these different people with different viewpoints. He he he's never been a politician. No, he doesn't he wants to be like a business. What I what I find very interesting is. Oh, I've I've got a lot of students that have come in here. And I always ask them the questions. How'd you hear about us? They go. I heard about you WINS and what brought you into the kademi. What made you know, what made you call in one of the number one common denominators, they're frustrated with the rate of return to they're getting and they don't know where to go. They're getting so tired of somebody calling him up and telling him the same old broken record story that don't worry. You're gonna be ok, well, we'll tell you what if you lost. If once you start to lose the stock market starts to drop in price. That's one thing. You're never gonna get back to the time the time it takes you to get back to even. So for instance, if we look at the stock market in two thousand nine when it started to rally backup, it took sixty six months five years for you to get back to what to even then after that. Then you started to go. So you sat dormant you sat with your portfolio for five years doing nothing while it guess what? People want. All year, very profitable all year completely happy. The smiles on their face to watch the rugged pulled out from underneath them in December. And then to have the same common story that says don't worry you're going to be okay. Yeah. You eventually always are. Okay. But the same thing is it's that band-aid look look at the whole the financial markets work. They made you feel comfortable right now. What did they do in December? They cut you. Now. What's going to happen is the gouge do all of a sudden, you're gonna have this band aid and over a period of time all time heal wounds. What does it all time heals? All right time heals all wounds. So eventually what happens is you're going to get back to comfortable, then what is the marketing to do again. So what they do is. They gouge in it hurts. Don't you disagree with that statement time helps heal wounds there's certain things in life. Like, Pete serious PTSD things you talked to war veterans. I don't think you ever get over certain traumatic if you ever get over that. But it's diminished, not as harsh as it was. So time helps I think I don't know if he can say it always he'll stock. Mark you look at this there. I said to the market's always gonna come back. Well, I'll tell you what if you're sixty years old, and you gotta wait another five years to get back to even like you did in two thousand nine that's why the stock market crash hurts so bad. And do you have the time how many people can afford five years, Scott? Here's what we're going. Do. Take a quick commercial break. Scott is also talked about last year two thousand eighteen lot of you may say I did that what a badger down here. If you had made five different moves just five moves getting in getting getting the getting back and getting it back out, Scott you would have survived and actually done better than just surviving. Right. Even if you took half of the moves of the markets, the five moves that you could imagine you only took half of me still ahead of the game. So here's what's going on this week incredibly busy. You've got stuff Wednesday Saturday you're in different hotels in west bend. You're in Green Bay Scott as we talk about the giveaways. It gets you a seat for a three hour workshop a class introduction into trading. It's free. We're going to do that right now. Right. And we're gonna show you rally based rally we're gonna show you drop bass drop ruinous show, you the timeframes we're going to go through the monthly chart the weekly chart the daily chart, we're going to go through the ten minutes are two thirty minute chart and the hourly chart, so we're going to start to show you all the different variations of how you start to play that into your own finances and into your own investment. So you don't get stuck where somebody says don't worry, you're going to be okay. And you're also going to receive the third article done by Brandon Wendell. The first two articles Brennan Brandel was spot on this third articles, probably give you the most important article that we have because also nice can start talking about the second opportunities. You have because we are now in a drop based drop so four one four four zero nine zero two five one the market's not gonna crash tomorrow. But we're going to be having dropped based drops nine years. It went from rally base rally. Now, we're going to be going drop bass drops what else I haven't noticed about you on the show. What you don't really go make predictions. You don't say we're at the end of this bear market. I think things are turning. We're going to see a bull market or whatever. Vice versa. We're gonna rally. I think there's a reason for that..

Listen seem to be a one of a kind thing back down there. Take Bo gesture with you, and we will stay up here. Make sure that they don't get Baillieu on the way out, but you need to find whoever whatever that was an isolated. Contain exactly. Do you think it could be via didn't you? She didn't. "Haven't, come out and we. Do some rock and roll mostly, I, like, oldies, most I, played like you. Know, rock and roll Chuck Berry buddy. Holly type stuff sun records but for this we. Have a whole new set that we're working up which is all these, kind, of, rarities when you go to a Beatles stash everyone plays the same you know they. Played yesterday and. They play they play all the old ones you'd expect so I'm. Trying to play songs nobody else is doing so, we're doing we're doing some surprises but a lot of Wilbur stuff and do you have multiple performances. There's at one August tenth through twelfth at the hi I'm doing? Laundry, stuff, I I give. Talks because, I have Beatles stories. That nobody else in the world knows I mean my first kiss was Mary McCartney Yeah and and then I'm still, I'm still in daily contact the the godfather the godfather and mother to my children are Joe. Walsh and Marjorie and Marjory, is Marjorie box her sister is. Barbara Bach and she is married to Ringo so we see we see Ringo, for Christmas, and and some we're still, really you know those guys include us and and so. I don't know what I. Was going, with that got one more question It's kind of a loaded. Question I don't know what And like I said I was fortunate. To meet him and I seen a lot of? Documentaries and but what. Was he like as a dad. Never yell at you Well he was he was really special because he, had a pretty, tragic story that people know about so, I have, two brothers had died before I was born, in a house. Fire and on the exact spot today and they. Died ROY sold that land of Johnny cash his best his best friend who built a house. There which also burned, so that house where Johnny cash it house burned that's where my brothers. Died, in the house that was there before on? The lake in Tennessee So ROY we were a second chance. For ROY so he was a really. Really special hands. On dad. He he kind of retired. When. I, was born and. He'd, been in music long enough and people always say what happened in Roy's career there in the. Seventies well I'm what happened he took me to school he was there every day when I went to school every, day when I, went back he took me on the, road and, and basically he he he was kinda fatherhood, lost two children. And that second chance so he made the most. Of it we played games he was he. Was my best friend absolutely wow that's really interesting So the book is out the movie those there's going. To be two years, away but we're we're we're past the dream stage we have, a script we've got a producer we've got a casting director. And we're rolling and we're looking to. Do kinda music. Bio Ma. Johnny cash thing you know. And. That's, the that's the Watermark I always do you have any, do you have any ideas of a list, of somebody who you, might like? To play you, play ROY Well the story has, been fifty years in the making so originally ROY was scheduled with MGM to do his own to be. The star and then, in the seventies I remember it was Martin sheen and Martin sheen had a heart attack during, the making of Apocalypse Now and right after that he came to live with us for a little while and then, because he was studying ROY he was, meant, to be the character and then it just keeps on flipping it, was then it was Chris Isaac then it was Charlie, Sheen his son Charlie Charlie still wears these. Oils and clashes and when and so ROY. He's a big fan and he. Got a blue convertible Cadillac and soda wearing the ROY orbison glasses and and. I believe he bought one boy he became a collector of memorabilia so it's Charlie Sheen, for while and then I can't remember who keeps, on it's, always someone and I, believe it's going to have, to be an unknown though too? So that we can imbue the character with ROY you know with a different different I? Don't know career Yeah that's that's a very good point it's it's a, fun game to play I remember I'm a big, fan and, for years talk about. Robert Duvall doing haggard I thought that was a great idea but I don't know what became it is it is well we've..

"I'm i i think that's a harder district toget despite the controversy surrounding rohrbach but they're clearly excited about that one and the open seat that they have with roy sell though the republican they're young kim does appeal to a lot of the demographic in in that orange county district so as you said we're still waiting for calls and some of these races but democrats are going through in in all then there's still a question about which democrats could make it through in the forty eight district in particular it looks like things could go back and forth for a while between harley rueda and hunts kierstead the two democrats who are kind of trading second third place right now with each update so charlie big picture here does a democratic takeover the housing more likely than after you know we we kind of kick things off on tuesday night i think democrats remain on a trajectory that can win the house right now i mean obviously we you know we don't want to say they're going to take the house but they're on a trajectory and that's import because and the reason i highlight that is we now know that as a result of california california was pivotal in a way that it hasn't been before was pivotal to democratic hopes of taking back the house and now because they're in because democrats are playing all these districts and didn't get locked out they can still they're still a path had they not succeed in all these races they wouldn't have a path and i and i think that's that's the most important takeaway that that i had out of tuesday but the other thing is too is the continued march of women you see this particularly in democrat primaries where women are women candidates are really thriving decent decent evening for for republican women in kristi nome won the republican nomination for governor in south dakota you saw kay ivey the governor of alabama want one her nomination she had a challenge you saw kim reynolds in iowa she won her renomination so it was a decent night for them and then the last thing that i think the last big takeaway that i had was.
