Mars rover captures 1st sound of dust devil on red planet
"The NASA rover moving about on Mars has captured sound on the red planet. I Norman hall, NASA says its Mars rover had its microphone on when a dust devil passed by. A whirling tower of red dust passed directly overhead, the racket was recorded. It captured about ten seconds of not only rumbling gusts up to 25 mph, but the pinging of hundreds of dust particles against the rover perseverance. The first of its kind audio sounds strikingly similar to dust Devils on earth, although quieter, since Mars thin atmosphere makes for more mute it sounds, and has less forceful wind. I Norman hall

And with a science satellite already around Mars, the UAE wants to explore the moon too. Onboard the mission is a lightweight surface operating rover named Rashid after Dubai's royal family. Ice base designed the mission known as hakuto to use minimal fuel to save money and make space for cargo, so it's taking a slow, low energy path to reach the moon with landing expected in April. By contrast, NASA's Orion crew capsule would test dummies took 5 days to reach the moon last month. I'm Mimi Montgomery

Eric Thomas: Look in the Mirror and Learn Who You Are
"When you don't look in the mirror, you are not empowered. When you look in the mirror, you see you and what you want and what you need to do and what you need to be when you look in the mirror you reflect when you reflect you transform. When you transform, you change when you change, you do things differently. When you do things differently, you get different outcomes. When you looking in the window and you stand at other people, there is no reflection. It's only comparing. And as long as you can bear yourself to another model, I drive an escalator from Detroit. I drive an S plan, a Cadillac, right? When I see a dude in a Bentley, I'm looking at that baby like fire. But at no point am I going? I want to trade my Cadillac in for the Bentley. I've seen some fire land. I moved to Cali, everybody got Range Rover. I see some fire range rope. I've seen some Lamborghini. I looked at these vehicles and go, my, what craftsmanship. I've never gone, I feel just escalate. I feel so bad. I'm in an escalade. This is the car that was my dream car. The black on black. This is what I dreamed of. This is it. This is my dream vehicle. And so I don't look at what others have in compare. I actually look at what others have. I actually look at air and go man, there's a God. Wow. Look how he operates in his gift and is annoying. Look at his energy and his passion. Look as his delivery. And then I go, hey God, where's mine? Why did you give me? And give me ads. I don't want ants. Why? I can't do ads like air can do ads. But I can do erics like Eric and do Eric. So I'm saying get out of the window. Get in the mirror. Look at you, study you, figure out you. My boy Mustafa said some of the other day that was deep. Moo said, when you don't know what to work on, work on yourself. Wow. When you don't know what to work on, work on yourself.

"CPR, or the CPR, I don't even think was invented then. Right, right? Wow. And seeing that from what I gather from what I've heard about you kind of got the gears turning in your head about wanting to be involved somehow in rescue work. Right. That was life-changing. You had to be 18 to join the volunteer fire department and as soon as I was 18, I signed up and I joined the fire department. And what does that mean? You would spend a night there every other weekend or once a month or how to work. You basically would listen for the fire whistle to go off. At that time, we didn't have pagers or BlackBerries or anything like that. And they hooked into your phone at home and it gave a rapid ring so you knew it was a call, but yeah, you were an obligated to put it in any time. I always went on training drills and took the first aid courses and went to all the meetings and I was deeply ingrained in it. So it sounds like this was kind of a turning point, you wanted to be a fireman. I mean, I read that you wanted to join the New York City fire department, but I guess that process was moving slowly for you. So then what? You began to look elsewhere. Exactly. I heard that they were hiring firefighters down in Florida. And my best friend at the time had moved forward, and I said, you know what? I'm just going to do it, you know? I packed up I had an MGB, which is like a little triumph. I don't know if you know the car and I put a very small. Sure, the triumph. Yeah, oh, there's great cars. Yeah. Everything I own went and MGB, and on October 6th I arrived, and by November 1st, I was on a paid department in the Largo Florida, which is in Largo, Florida. Yeah, right near clear water. It's like one of those sliding doors moments. You know, had you gotten a job in New York, your life would have been completely different. But you ended up going to Florida because there was demand for firefighters. Exactly. So tell me a little bit about that time. I mean, what did that entail? You would live in the fire station, or you'd sleep there, what? Two, three nights a week. We were on a 24 48 shift. So that meant you showed up at 7 o'clock in the morning, you went home 7 o'clock the next morning, and then you had two days off. And I remember thinking to myself, you know what? They're still looking for a lot of firefighters, right? They had a big hiring going on and I thought to myself, I'll work the second day for free. I was enjoying myself so much, yeah. Wow. And what was it about being a fireman that you like so much? You know, my first day on the job was, as I said, November 1st, 1973, the night before a tornado went through, and wiped out mobile homes, killed a few people on fortunately. And I'm in the state for three weeks. And I show up and on the job the very first day, I go out and I look at this devastation and I think to myself, holy cow, what have you gotten yourself into, you know? Yeah. But, you know, I went through the training, the fire chief came out one day, and they had a mandatory meeting at night, and he said, listen, guys, he says, the mayor wants us to get a paramedic program going in the fire department. He says, I got to tell you, I'm here because he told me I have to be here and I'm asking if you guys, if anybody wants to go to pyramid at school, but I want you to know, I hate the idea. I don't want paramedics. I don't support paramedics, but I'm asking if anybody wants to volunteer. I stood right up and through my hands up, but I said, I'm at, but that was my real passion. Let me find out fires is one thing and you save the property and stuff, but going through paramedic school and saving lives is something completely different. I was one of the first paramedics in the state, you know, I want to say in the first hundred paramedics in the entire state. Wow. Wow. Because this was not, this was not an EMTs like that's a thing now. That didn't exist. Paramedics, that was a new concept in 1975. Yeah. I tell people that if I can go back and do it tomorrow, I'd do it in the heartbeat. You know, it was the most rewarding thing I ever did in my life. All right. So you're living in Clearwater and were you were you married at the time? When I first joined the fight of Harmon, I was not, but I did end up getting married. 79. Got it. Got it. Okay. So you're a young guy. You're in your 20s. Right. And you know, you got a great career going. But this is actually where your first business starts to get launched. And I need to preface this by explaining to everyone, including myself because I didn't know this, that this is like this is like the late 1970s, when the concept of 9-1-1 is relatively new. Even in the late 70s, I think only like one quarter of Americans had access to 9-1-1 systems, like you still have to dial up a 7 digit number to reach the fire department. Correct. Correct. All right, so this time, right? 9-1-1 systems are rolling out across the country. And at some point I guess dwarf fire chief comes up to you and asks if you want to help with the new system for your area, right? Exactly. Some of the chief came to me and said Pete, would you be interested in helping me implement my own system? I said, well, sure. I'm willing to look at it and stuff. He says, well, what do you know about computers? And I said, not a damn thing. You won't learn. I said, sure. So the goal was we had to, I think it was 23 or 21 fired districts within pinellas county, which is saint peak. And I think there was 21 independence. So anyway, the problem with 9 one is they're going to people are going to be able to dial that three digit number. And it's got a ring somewhere. And they didn't know where to ship that call or whether to the 23 or 21 or whatever it was department. So where do I where do I transfer that customer to? Because up until that time, every department had its own perspective. Exactly. Exactly. There was 21 dispatches. Yeah. Let me try to understand. I want to try to figure out how I want to figure out how you started to learn about this because you are not, as you say, you were on a computer guy. I guess the county hired consultants to help them create some kind of automated or computerized processes of the early 70s so computers are, you know, we're talking about the Stone Age compared. Exactly. But I think there was a guy that they hired to kind of write the software who was an outside consultant. Right. His name is bob Timberlake. And he has an electrical engineering degree. He was working for a power company and I was at a software company called econometrics associates. So he had the knowledge, and you were paired up with him to kind of learn this system and then help implement it. Is that more or less what happened? That's exactly what happened. Yeah. Wow..

Sarah Silverman Apologizes to Paris Hilton for Prison Jokes
"Sarah Silverman is now apologizing on her podcast because of what Paris Hilton said in her podcast that bothered her when Sarah Silverman took her apart at a roast I think in 2007 and whatever Paris Hilton was going to jail the next morning. The night before she went to a roast. And Sarah Silverman was her usual typical brilliant self. And now it's come to her attention that Paris Hilton wasn't happy with what was said. When Paris Hilton was at her absolute worst when she was doing things that needed to be stopped when she was doing embarrassing things and making sex tapes that were very embarrassing to her and her family and she was being caught with drugs on her and drinking and those are the days where she stepped out of a limousine or Range Rover. Showing the Lindsay Lohan Nicole Richie, Britney Spears days, the bad girl. So Sarah, it was come to come to her attention at Paris was upset. And she did her apology thing. She said that the night after it happened, she didn't know Paris is even going to be at the rose. And she didn't know Paris was going to jail the next day. So when she saw her there, she thought, oh my God, I can really go crazy on this. And like a great comic she did. And I forget what she said. I didn't go back to check, but I know that Sarah doesn't hold back. Paris Hilton was hurt. When she found out, she was hurt. She sent her a note and apologized for several days later. Apparently that note never got to Paris. So Sarah felt like, you know what? Let me say I'm sorry. And I really appreciate what she said. Even though Paris Hilton has to look back and apologize about some of her shit. Because then you just can't be a hypocrite, but I like what Sarah said. One of my patrons sent me that bit of Sarah on her podcast, apologize. Again, I'm not, I'm okay with it. I'm okay with it. Listen, if you go back and think what you said really hurt someone's feelings, I think it's admirable to

"I went to our friend Pope bachman opened up a new Jaguar Land Rover dealer. And they still have a little bit of Aston Martin and lotus and stuff there. But it was largely Lincoln as well and Volvo and now the place is kind of been redesigned dedicated to Jaguar Land Rover. Let me tell you about the guys at kalpin. They always do a really well event. Absolutely. I mean, you would think this was at the manufacturer level. I mean, the amount of people the flow of, by the way, the flow of people and the flow of the valets or were on point. Security on point. Bartenders were putting on shows and shooting flames in the air and thrown bottles all around, but nobody really was waiting more than a couple of minutes in line. Everywhere is just like mountains of shrimp cocktail and food and ice sculptures with Jaguar logo. They had a watermelon with Land Rover. And I was like, boy, Ben rivers really kicking it off. And he did such a smart job. It's a two story kind of like open sort of like loft type of dealer with this beautiful staircase. And he put a bar upstairs downstairs, multiple areas, outdoor, there was like virtual golf or you hit the golf ball into a screen and it shows it was such a good, well presented event. And here's the thing is we've done a million of these things. Is we don't expect to sit, but you need enough little high top tables to put a plate down as you're eating your mini sliders in your octagon. There was plenty of those. There was plenty of bars. There was plenty of food stations. There was and scattered away, so it's like, if you're in one food line, they've replicated the same thing in two other locations on other parts of the building. So it wasn't like, hey, all the food's gonna be on the south end. And then, you know, the drinks are on the north end. Like really, really smart planning. It was really smart planning, so they did such a great job. And actually, they did it even better job because. We always see them in Monterey. He's always at the car auctions, and he really appreciates the collectability of the vintage cars. They had a couple of the new land rovers there, but he had such a cool display of vintage land rovers and wars and outdoors. He called up the Friends at the Petersen museum, obviously he's got a lot of clout over there, and he's like, would you mind sending me Steve McQueen's Jaguar XKSS? And display it there. They're like, I guess they said sure because that goddamn car was there. It was a little bit rope. And it was fantastic. And that's the car that very rarely leaves the museum. It's worth the AKA, right? Or something? Yes. The SS and it's the green little roadster. And I think that's the one with the story that it has. You know, the speeding ticket and the glove compartment from Steve McQueen and if you ask the museum, they're like, I don't really know what it's worth, but it's insured for $30 million. It's that story. Just a great great event, great display. So definitely. If you're in LA, by the way, you think about the destinations you want to go to, go to the museum, go to wall and museum. Go to the Gallup and dealerships. Visit galvan autosports, go to their museum, see the great museum of classic cars. They have Ed Ross cars, they have some winfields, I think they have some barris that don't they have a bunch of bunch of cars. They panther. I think they got all kinds of cool stuff. Yeah, the micros rat fing stuff. Really, really neat history. You can definitely tell that someone really loves what they do and that's Bo. He loves keeping that history and tact and preserving it. And it's really kudos kudos to him and the team, man. And this whole team is great. They're going to be building out more stuff for TV, YouTube channel, a lot of content, they're going to be producing there as well. So keep an eye out for you. Because we missed pip my ride and gas and all the, you know. I mean, the new show, gosh, I forgot the name of it, but it was good. It was good. It was one. Definitely next level. So. Yeah. All right, so we've been running around to a few events and somehow it just kind of worked out. I've been to two Land Rover Range Rover events to events where they debuted the new Range Rover. The first event was put on by Land Rover. They did a great job. It was at the academy of motion pictures. Next to lacma and the Peterson museum, and it was kind of in the courtyard of outdoors. It was more of a customer appreciation event, a little less of a media event. The media stuff happened during the day, but we went to the party at the end. It was, first of all, the Range Rover is gorgeous. The design element on it is to keep everything very, very smooth and very flush. Flush bizarre. Flush glass door handles to the lights. They eliminated any harsh edges sharp edges to it. And they kind of started going that direction with the velar. Totally. And this is sort of a bigger growing up version of it. When you see it, it's still huge. One of the things they said, they said, we have the normal wheel base and a long wheel base, and the long wheel base version will have a third row seat with two seats. So you can do 7 seater. And it was funny because the nice British gentleman on stage was like, we did this because you Americans made us do it. He's like, yeah, he was like, we had you guys asked for it. We're delivering it. It looks fantastic. It's definitely beautiful. The interior is on point. They've almost nailed that. Just the materials, the touch materials, the amount of leather, just everything that's just covered. It is absolutely gorgeous. There's going to be an SV. There's going to be an autobiography. There's going to be all the trim levels you would expect. And I'm sure this thing's going to be anywhere from a hundred to $200,000 by the time you get into autobiography. And I was surprised by the specs, it's actually got a lot of off road capability. Traditionally is Land Rover would, but that thing has some ground clearance and with the suspension in the lift and all that. I was kind of impressed because the way it looks, it's so posh, you'd think, oh God, I would never offer a nut thing. And he probably wouldn't, but there may be some times getting out to the polo field where you have to off road and listen. I mean, here in LA, we don't live with it. We'd only been here in LA, we don't have any weather, but you do, right? Yeah. And if you think about like, hey, I just gotta get someplace. I gotta go out to dinner, I gotta go to a store. All of a sudden you're like, yeah, it wouldn't be bad to have nice interior in a sound system and heated seats at a heating steer wheel, but also the ability to actually be able to leave your driveway and go someplace. But the problem at is, oh gosh, I forgot to put on the winter tires. Yeah, that's true. You're running summer tires in the snow. Doesn't matter how much ground clearance you have, ain't going anywhere. It's all about tires, folks. You can get a lot of stuff through the snow with the right time. With the right tires. I'm sure I'm sure. So check out the photos of the new Range Rover. And as big as it is, it's they've got it down to a .30 coefficient of drag. It's 12%. Yeah. It's 12% more aerodynamic than the previous gen version of this. Like you said, the off road capability is still there. Now, they're going to have a gas engine version. Next year, they're going to have a hybrid version, which I believe is a 38.2 kW battery mated with I assume it's I think it's 6 cylinder. It's a plugin hybrid version. It is a plugin hybrid now in the European testing. They're saying 62 miles of range on just the battery. But it's really sort of the combination of battery and can you end up getting on a tank of fuel and the battery? Can you end up getting like 400 miles of range? It's just about stopping at the gas station less. Yeah, low Range Rover. Short Range Rover. So hybrid next year and then a full electric version in 2024. So they're getting into that they're starting to adopt the EV mentality, I guess. And they will get to that. So it looked great. But let me tell you about this party. They throw this huge party. And the CEO of Land Rover comes out, makes a nice little introduction and brings out I forgot if he was the head of design or engineering. I think he's more on the design side. And it was just a weird sort of environment that everybody in the front half of the room was definitely paying attention, had phones out taking pictures. And some reason in the back half of the room, everyone was loud. And I don't think I don't think they realize that it was so loud in the front, just the shape of sort of this kind of courtyard. Area with a roof over it, just echoed, and he was getting so irritated. He was just like, he's like, everyone on the back's not gonna know about this car everyone in the front and here's the thing it's like, I know he's getting upset and he kind of wants to calm the room down, but every time he does that, there's 300 phones running video of him getting upset. And that's all that's gonna get documented and it's just kind of tough now. You know, this isn't like, look, we were talking about being a musician being on stage. This isn't the part where they go, all right, hey, do us a favor, you know, Dave Grohl, come on, everybody put your phones away for this next song. Just listen to the song for me, please. Just be present. Yeah. Just do that. Then we'll do the phone thing. It wasn't that. This was an event where everyone was supposed to be taking photos and video of the car. And he was getting so irritated. And I kind of felt bad for him, but I was also like, dude, you should not, you should just ignore it. Just focus on a few people in the front that are listening to you. Just make eye contact with people that you've got their attention and move forward. So that part is a little awkward. And then wyclef John comes out. And, you know, he does some freestyle rap. He rips a little bit, sings a little bit. But mostly he kind of got into this like DJ mode. And he made a kind of a big party that's going on. And then I left right about when the after party was starting to kick in. And then the next morning I wake up. Oh, a TMZ, they're like TMZ says white cleft John drops the CEO of Land Rover. And it's a clip of the Land Rover guy on Y cleft shoulders. Sitting on his shoulders and why cliff like leans forward to let him down, but instead of putting his legs forward to stand, he tucks his legs back and the dude face plants onto the ground. And then they cut to like ice packs on his face. And of course, TMZ's all like, why cleft drops the CEO of Land Rover? Oh my God. Yeah, it was just it was kind of madness. So there was a couple of there was a couple of entertaining quirks at this event. But that being said, the vehicle is fantastic. That was Monday night. Tuesday night, I went to our friend Pope bachman opened up a new Jaguar Land Rover dealer. And they still have a little bit of Aston Martin and lotus and stuff there. But it was largely Lincoln as well and Volvo and now the place is kind of been redesigned.

Biden Administration Sues Texas Over Abortion Ban
"Came out of washington late on thursday night. London time with the announcement by the attorney. General of the united states. Merrick garland that the biden administration will be suing the state of texas taking out a federal lawsuit. It all relates to a move by texas which is widely regarded as the most extreme restriction on abortion rights since the landmark nineteen seventy-three ruling known as rovers his weight. He came into effect last week. By decision of the united states supreme court and all of the last week liberals and democrats and abortion rights activists have been debating. What can be done. The other major story. Today is the decision of the united states. Supreme court handed down a historic decision about abortion. The court said and so when roe v wade was decided in early nineteen seventy-three. It was actually a pretty uncontroversial decision. It was a seven to two decision. The majority opinion which legalized abortion in all fifty states was written by a justice who had been appointed by republican president who was fairly popular in fact at the time. Abortion rights were popular writ large. That really started to

Texas' Abortion Ban Marks a New Legal Strategy for Abortion Restrictions
"Emily i wanna read you from the wall street journal op-ed today which i thought was interesting this supporter of abortion restrictions. In fact getting rid of roe v wade who write this. Texas republicans have handed democrats political grenade to hurt to the antiabortion causes the editorial board pro-life groups has spent nearly fifty years arguing. That abortion is a political question to be settled in the states by public debate. It now texas. They want us the courts by civilization to limit abortion. I do think this law is so frankly odious that more republicans and those who oppose abortion rights should have to own it and i wonder if folks who work in the trenches of the political opinion on this. Feel the same way absolutely chris. Let's start with baxter. The overwhelming majority of americans are on the side of those who want to see and keep rovers wade as the law of the land. Extreme weather is now the norm. The news keeps getting worse. Now the gulf stream is part of the atlantic meridional overturning circulation or a. m. Oc this circulation takes warm salty. Water from the tropics moves in north and then takes the cold water south. The study finds that the circulation is at its weakest in one thousand years. So what happens if the gulfstream collapses that will dictate extreme cold for parts of north america and europe. Is the collapse imminent well. That's not an easy question. Answer it could be decades away but as we have seen things are happening a lot faster when it comes to climate change not only will the disruption of the gulfstream resort in colder north american temperatures. It is predicted that there will be a rise in sea level disruption of the monsoon patterns and impacts on the amazon rainforest. An aunt arctic ice sheets. Today there have been eighty one volunteers who have delivered two thousand six hundred and eleven volunteer hours. Now i'm not sure if they're on pace to meet their objectives but that's not always the measure success. The amount of continuing effort is what really counts. Keep up the good work guys. The annual boston sea rovers clinic for this year is just one month away. The two thousand twenty clinic happened just a couple of weeks. Before the corona corona virus lockdowns took effect. We really didn't know how serious things were then. Now as we continue to emerge from the pandemic the show may just have the distinction of being the last face to face. Scuba show in the world before the pandemic and the first face-to-face scuba show in the world post pandemic monty. And i were at the last meeting. And everything's proceeding for the october. First and second show the show will follow state and local mandates and as the days pass by. We are all hoping that the show will go off his plan. This year shows moved from the traditional march date to october as a result of the pandemic that you'd be a great time to enjoy some early fall weather in new england. It'd be great to get together and diving is certainly a social sport. Do you miss dive training magazine. I sure do. I think i've re reread all the back issues. We have a good shop at least three times. So what's happening with the publication. Well i reached out to catherine castle garcia the editor to find out the latest catherine informed me that they hope to be publishing again in the fourth quarter of two thousand and twenty one. Now that's some good news. The fourth quarter is not that far away. And i'm certainly looking forward to dive training magazine hitting the streets and finally here on wet notes. I wanted to give you an update on the situation with dutch springs. If you remember last time. I reported that the property owned by stu jill school had been sold to trammell crow texas developer. Who's planning to build a large warehouse facility on the property. The initial word was that dutch would shut down after the season while a lot has happened in the last couple of weeks i there was a petition that garnered over three thousand supporters to keep the place open and as we know petitions can only go so far then there was support from patty professional association of diving instructors patty due to white paper outlining the economic benefits dutch brings provides as a diving venue. Patty estimates that because dutch exists. It helps to generate three point. Four billion annual retail sales in the northeast they tag the economic benefit to bethlehem at thirty four point five million as for tax revenue. The paper indicates that about ninety. Eight point nine million is generated for state and local taxes and northeast and about two point one million for bethlehem in addition to patty support. The lehigh valley planning commission has called the proposal of disaster for the quality of life in the lehigh valley while it seems that there a great deal of opposition to maybe very little that can be done to stop the effort. One positive. I that i did see. Was that trammell. Crow was indiscretions with local officials to offload the fifty off lou to fifty acre quarry for community use. Just how would you get to acquire if they build the warehouses. I don't know while the saga is far from over. I would expect that we won't see. Dutch brings open for the twenty twenty two dive season but his al michaels once said. Do you believe in miracles. Well that's it for this edition of wet notes. Here on scuba shot radio for august thirtieth two thousand and twenty one

"Supreme in the magnum super. Well i knew. When i started this research on farallon line industries that would be a little more challenging than some of the other companies that i've researched farah line. Industries wasn't around very long but it looks like they did some really interesting stuff. I'm always amazed as i look back in history of scuba diving to see all the innovation took place to make our sport. What is today. So that's a little more of a look back at the history of our scooby.

"Because what's really more compelling what's more compelling question than you know are we alone in this universe is there life elsewhere. Is there intelligent life elsewhere. And i firmly believe that artificial intelligence is critical to go hunt for life in those places where we might have a spacecraft that would have to be on its own for weeks or in the case of an interstellar mission have to be on its own for decades literally given that you're motivated by the search for life as you just described. What are your thoughts on the likelihood in our lifetime or the lifetime of our listeners in discovery of life apart from that on earth. That's a great question can oddly enough. What did i get remarkably frequently. I kind of have to answer to that. One is a pragmatic answer. And then one is kind of like the answer that i'm hoping for and the pragmatic answer is that it just seems to me not likely that we would find life in the immediate future just because going to these places is so hard if we're looking at going to the sub ice ocean on europa we have to fly jupiter which is pretty hard. We have to land on europa which is hard for then we have to melt through this ice crest which is ten kilometers sick. That might even take a year or two and then we have to explore this under ice ocean. And we're actually practicing things like that on earth had to explore underneath ice shells underneath the ice shelf the ross ice shelf in antarctica. Because we want to study that to understand the effects of climate change on some of these pristine antarctic environments. But it's very hard on earth much less to go to another planet in do that. So the pragmatic answer is. I'm not holding my breath waiting for such a mission to happen in in my lifetime but if you look out thirty fifty years. It's just very hard to project. So i would. I would have a hard time predicting. But if you ask me as an optimist in what i hope for. It's quite possible that we could hear some signals. That might indicate to us that there could be somebody trying to contact us a little different from going there and literally visiting yes..

"Comic book isn't there anymore. I i suspect. I suspect might be worth something. I'm oh i'm sure worth more to me than it would be to to to sell. But it's probably it's probably a fairly rare item. But i can't find it. I only remember that comic book only from the soccer player rovers thing for some reason when he said that was like i can kinda see it right. Raj of the rovers was the title of raja the rovers. He's got the summer that your parents were away. Which you know for a group of fifteen sixteen year olds getting into music and many other things was just a gift that will we will never be given again in our lives. We wore the hell out of the gates of dawn.

"On Thursday, NASA landed its rover perseverance on Mars on the jet zero crater. Yesterday, they're released video from the Rovers Descent. Here's how it sounded from Mission control. When that happened last week, we're starting this straighten up and fly right maneuver where the spacecraft will jettison the entry balance masses in preparation for parachute deploy and to roll over to give the radar a better look at the ground. You can see the rovers parachute expanding as the craft decelerates. Al Chin is part of the perseverance mission and explained just how much power was behind that dissent gets launched out of the spacecraft with a mortar, which is basically a cannon with the muzzle velocity and run 100 miles an hour. And the spacecraft itself was going about 1000 miles an hour. This point going about 1.75 times. The speed of sound, so gentle landing was not guaranteed. As the rover rocketed toward the dull pink pockmarked surface of Mars. NASA staffers held their breath a flurry of dust as it got closer. And then success touchdown confirmed that it is carefully on the surface of Mars ready to begin speaking the sands of past life. Such a cool moment, There are six small cameras on the rover. One shows perseverance rolling through Mars is rocky terrain. It's located high on the rovers mast. It also helps with driving, and there are two microphones on the spacecraft, so there's just a bit of audio. Which is awesome. It sounds like the heartbeat of Mars. Yeah, And next comes the effort to find signs of past life. The mission for perseverance will persevere. For about 687 Earth days.
