"McCall. Macaw. Macaw. Coming over from Chip Ganassi racing to be the crew chief. Matt Carl actually used to be a development driver for rauch back in the 2000s. Actually, I think practiced a car for Carl Edwards and the Xfinity series. So that's pretty cool. By the way, because of this show, our family does not even call them seagulls anymore. They are beach birds. The beach birds, it's excellent. Beach birds. That's great. So yeah, TJ majors actually went over to be the spotter for Keselowski. It was his spot at Team Penske and moving over with him. Sponsors with him too. Since August, I think. Yeah. I've interviewed majors, he's awesome. Yeah, he's cool guy. I've interviewed him as well. He's a good guy. And it would be interesting to see what they do together. Brian Wilson, not from The Beach Boys, I'm guessing, is the crew chief of the Wood Brothers number 21 Cup Series car for 2022 driven by Harrison Burton. Yeah, and that'll be big for them too. So a lot of these pieces are starting to come together for Harrison Burton. This is a huge opportunity. This is a car that has Penske affiliation, obviously. It's a car that Matt Benedetto almost won in several times the last couple of seasons. You've got a guy of Harrison Burton's talent level. You expect maybe he can get something done. That being said, it's his first opportunity in cup other than the one off he didn't forgotten brothers racing this past year. So you're looking at a steep learning curve, but his record. His record, the Xfinity series in three years a championship. 13 wins, 55 top 5s and 7 6 top tens. Yeah, and so you add that on top of the guy he has mentoring him, which is his father Jeff Burton, one of the most brilliant minds in NASCAR as far as the driver goes over the years. The Jeff Burton. I think he'll be in great shape. But it will be interesting to see how he does early on in the season as he gets acclimated to things. Yeah, what else we got over there to be Christy dot com? Well, we've got Jeremy donley has been named as the crew chief for tye Dylan that GMS racing in the Cup Series in the 94 team. So that's been announced. We now know who will be on the pit box there. He comes from Ganassi and he's also worked with Hendrick in the past. We've also got Noah Gregson is coming back to beard motor sports to attempt to run the 2022 Daytona 500. Of course, Gregson tried running the 500 with beard this past season. They missed out after having really good run, but in the qualifying races, got caught up in some stuff and did not quite make it. So he'll give it another shot this time around. Also, there's some 23 11 news. We've got 23 11 is expected to acquire the starcom racing charter, which originally had been rumored to be going to aspire. But now it looks like 23 11 has backdoored their way in and is working on taking that charter. On top of that, 23 11 is also announced that booty Barker will return as by the Wallace's crew chief this next season, Billy Scott has been brought in as the crew chief for Kurt Busch. And of course, they've also got Dave Rogers coming in to be part of the technical director team from Joe Gibbs Racing. So that's huge. Wow, for 23 11. I guess Michael Jordan wants to win some more. Yeah, it looks like it. We also had a couple of guys dip in their toes and other stuff. Josh berry, who's going to be running full-time Xfinity this season. Made his first start ever. Goodyear all American speedway and the battle of the stars. He took the victory. He saved his stuff all race long, kept his tires good for the end with 50 laps to go or so got into a heated battle with Chad, who used to play Dale junior in a movie, and now Josh Perry drives for Dale junior and took the lead away with about 43 laps to go and led the final 43 laps of the race. So got that victory. And Kyle Busch made his debut in the nitro Rallycross. I heard about that. And finished fourth, he made the finale and finished fourth Travis Pastrana won that thing. Of course. Wild horse pass. Good stuff. That's what jumps in everything, right? Yeah, it's got all sorts of jumpy jumps and Scott speed. I think broke his back last year in that, so it's not very good. Things can happen. It really careful. They need to add that to NASCAR. That'd be cool. Yeah, there are a few jumps in there. Right, not the broken back part, but the keep the back can tact, but the jumps. Ben Rhodes and Matt Crafton are returning to Thor sport racing. Got their two drivers in the championship four, and they're going to be back. Next year, despite, you know, Ben Rhodes savvy with the media. Yeah, definitely. I loved the Ben Rhodes stuff. I hope you actually liked it. That was great. They gave us something to talk about. It was bizarre. It was bizarre, but man, it was awesome. It was so fun. To see a guy who cares. You could tell, he was just happy. And you don't get to see raw, real emotion, and how these guys are away from the track very often. So it was cool to see that. Basically, the opposite of that crafting. Yeah, no kidding, and what's funny is time of Jessie who's a long time competitor in NASCAR and short track world. I was like, I don't know what you guys talking about. We see this every Tuesday night and he posted videos of Ben rose doing pretty much the same stuff at his house or somebody else. It was pretty funny. But yeah, so then also, Xfinity series, Josh Williams, who's been a staple at DGM racing in the last few years. A real workhorse driver, a blue collar guy that people really like. He's parting ways with dgm racing ahead of 2022. He has an announcement to make, not quite ready to make it. It should be coming in the next few weeks. But Josh Williams will be looking for we'll be in a new ride next season. Wow. All right, well, are.

"Got rid of it. How's he back? Well, thanks to Graham Benson and his YouTube channel and wherever else this play is. It looks very professional is probably on TV too. Forgive my naivete, I've never even heard of the guy. But anyway, he brought us Jimmy Johnson and an in depth interview, very professional, very cool. Yeah, Graham has actually had a few NASCAR drivers over the last few years. Kyle Busch. Dale junior as well. I think he's gotten some pretty good clips out of each driver or two of these talk to. Yeah. No, he knew his stuff. He did his research. That's for sure. Jimmy Johnson in depth interview and what we got out of it was some amazing stuff, major topics, one that had everybody talking rocky relationship with crew chief chat can house. I don't think we knew just how bad it was and how depressed Jimmy was in the later years. Yeah, I think it's interesting, and these are always the things that when you look back, you're like, wow, we got that bad. Right, tens or 7 time champions. How can it be that bad, but it was pretty eye opening. And it got so bad on the radio in some points, Jimmy's dad was questioning what you let him talk to you that way. And for those who have seen Shaq canals over the years, he's not afraid to do that. Right. I mean, it is interesting at some point you think that there's going to be trust there. This is the guy who's won your 7 championships behind the wheel. But at the same time, he's the guy who's won 6 or 7 championships from a top of the pit box as well. There's a lot of knowledge both ways there. He gave a tour of his I guess his warehouse or his storage area or man cave or whatever you want to call it. Well, I mean, he's got a bunch of trophies, fire suits, he had he's kind of a hoarder, actually. Hundreds of fire suits, something like 7 cup trophies. I mean, who does that? You.

"The same way is what Kozlowski and these guys are doing right now. But I would have to say, I think that Joey Logano would be a guy that I think would probably do something similar to this later in his career. He definitely seems like a guy who's very hands on with his foundation. A lot of these drivers have the foundation for tax reasons and they just let other people run it. He seems very integral in his foundation, so I could see that. Yeah, I agree with that, and he just always seems to have a respect for older antiques and just collecting things and he just feels like somebody who would be somebody who would slip into that ownership role at a race team very well, though. I don't think I've ever seen a mono car. So maybe I'm way off base here. But I just feel like he'd be a guy that would be decent it. Yeah. All right, so Toby Christie, onsite at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the big Roush Fenway Kozlowski announcement. Rubbing elbows with the major players of the sport and getting that first announcement here on the program. Thanks for the audio on that. Thanks for the insight. And up next for you is you're going to do the next gen testing at the same place. Charlotte Motor Speedway, 1.5 miles this time, not the road course. And that's going down for you. We're recording this Tuesday that's going down Wednesday for you. So we're going to have that to talk about on next week's show. Definitely Wednesday and Thursday by the way, it's a two day session. Oh wow. A lot of hours of testing from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday. So a lot of testing going on. So I'm guessing you're not going to be like me and surgical strike it. No, so that's the thing you don't really know how you're going to be able to surgically strike this thing for a moment. I would find a way I'm sure you would. I was told we don't know when drivers will be available, but they will be bringing them in throughout the day. As they're able to be doing whatever we're talking to the press. And then I'm sure we'll have access to go film a few things and take pictures of things that are happening out there with new cars. So expect if that's the case that will be getting pretty good content on Twitter and Facebook from tobi Christie. All right, and get some audio for here for next week for the folks. Very cool. Up next, we've got Steve Phelps. He's the president of NASCAR. He's going to give us a state of the sport. And then later on, we're going to give you headlines of the week from Toby Kristi dot com. Keep it here. It's TfL W. Follow us at Twitter dot.

"Current partners who wore my partners at the time to justify making. And what do you think the great equalizer is just the fact there are so many unknowns or do you feel like you've got some people? You have some more fixed costs, but this car, that's one of the strengths. Fixed costs, not just a manufacturing, but also in development. That's a huge aspect of I think what everybody is interested in. And the technology reset is one. Okay, more than the shocking revelation from the audio itself. I am blown away that Brad even talked to you. Yeah, it's been kind of a running joke for years. It feels like he doesn't like me every time I've ever been in any kind of a media session around him. But to his credit, he was very outgoing very, very open with everyone as we were there, thank to solve for being there and taking time out, spent time before the announcement, hanging out in the media center talking to every one of us that were there. He was a class act in this whole thing. And that's good to misread it. I don't think there's really any I think we're fine. I think we're good. That's good. That's good. So beyond that, what else have we learned about the rauch Fenway? Kozlowski racing. This is going to be is it going to be just RFK? Is it just easier? I think we just say RFK. So yeah, it's much easier. But yeah, the other interesting thing is this is the exit plan for Jack Roush. So for years, he even mentioned during the announcement today that he's been hearing the question for about a decade now. What are you going to retire? What are you going to do? He says, he still got a hand on the baton. But this is his exit strategy to leave things in the hands of people that he feels are true racers and have the same vision as far as winning goes that he does. And in turn, this is a chance for him to move his organization back into the victory victory lane before he does walk away for good. So he's trying to solidify the future. That's very cool. So what's it like on campus? What's the place like? For Charlotte Motor Speedway? Oh, you were Charlotte I thought you were a Roush. Okay, never mind. No, no, it was all at Charlotte. They brought the car down to Charlotte more speedway. Oh, gotcha. Okay. Because it's going to be there tomorrow anyway. They didn't want to drive it a few miles again, right? No, certainly not. That would be a pain for everyone. Well, very cool. So we've got we still have Chris busher on the list. Is there any talk of Newman going part time or anything? So that was the thing. Rauch said early on when everything was kind of being announced that they would have a third car part time for Newman if that's what he wanted to do. Newman kind of said now I want to be full time. And so he was looking for full-time ride. Now he sounds like he's open to anything. Imagine that, I'm sure he didn't like the things that were out there at that point. But now it doesn't seem like rauch is open to give it a part time team to him. So now it's kind of a situation. And then Newman's also now saying that he doesn't think the next gen car is safe enough for us to be driving anyway. Of course. I'm sure you could kind of say that's part posturing. So if he doesn't get a ride, you can say, I chose not to because I don't think the car say for something like that. But it's interesting to see how things have kind of shifted and flowed. But the whole time through this off season, I've heard heavy rumors that brick ware racing has been talking to Ryan Newman. You know, obviously nothing's been signed, but Rick ware did admit when they announced the Stewart Haas racing alliance that they had talked to no, and they've also talked to Benedetto and several other free agents. So there is a chance Rick ware racing has a totally different driver lineup next season. It looks like they're going to run two cars, the 15 and the 51. Imagine Cody ware has to stay there because that's the boss's son. And if that's the case, that leaves one car. Is it Newman? Has it been a demo? Is it somebody else I don't know, but we'll have to see. One of the things I took away before the Roush Fenway Kozlowski media day thing was there was a picture of Brad and he tweeted something to the effect that he's been waiting his whole life to be sitting at a desk. Yeah. Yeah, and I don't think it was just sitting at the desk. I think it's spreading his whole life to be a Cup Series team owner. Oh, okay. You can kind of see he was laying the foundation of this for years when he was running his own truck series team, having success on the track. He mentioned today in the media session that even though he had success on track didn't have much success off of it with the team, as far as sponsorship and money, and all that was concerned. But now he feels like he understands how to make the car go fast, which is what he brings to the table. Roush has the long-standing legacy. And then the Fenway group has the dollars behind it. So I think all three of those together make a really potent three way combination here. You know what's funny? Some drivers that gravitate toward that role and they work for that role. And other drivers are like, I don't want anything to do with this sport after I'm done. Yeah, it is interesting. There are some guys that you can see, they love Willem that car around the track, but they don't want anything to do with the business dealings and all that other stuff. They just want to drive, and that's all they want to do. And I respect that. But there are people like Keselowski, Dale Earnhardt junior and some of these guys, Jeff Gordon, now with the role he's taking a hundred motor sports. There's some of these guys that just want to be involved for years to come and you also have to respect that as well. I think it's interesting. And it is fun to see the different the different thought processes. I don't know who the next wave of guys that are that are going to be feeling the same way is what Kozlowski and these guys are doing right now. But I would have to say, I think that Joey Logano would be a guy that I think would probably do something similar to this later in his career. He definitely seems like a guy who's very hands on with his foundation. A lot of these drivers have the foundation for tax reasons and they just let other people run it. He seems.

"But a big part of what they're doing is they're trying to alleviate the heat inside these cars. And by having the exhaust run right there and not run the entire length of underneath the car, I think they're hoping that will get rid of some of that insane heat. They've been experiencing inside the cars. They've also got some steering components. They're changing up and doing some different stuff. I heard some different rumors about what the issues actually are, but then I will go on the record and tell you what it really is. It would be interesting to see if we get a report that things are better this time around. Well, okay, so we're trying to reduce the heat with the exhaust there, but literally the exhaust is going to be going up the window now. Yeah, it's going to be going up the window pretty much, and it's going to be right underneath their feet at this point. So the whole length of that pipe. So we'll have to see how it goes. It'll be interesting to see once this session gets going the next couple of days to see what the drivers say about the heat inside the car and see what the readings look like. But they're trying everything they can. They've been cutting holes in windshields and windows and everything like that. Wow. What to see what they can do? Of course, the 160 mile an hour winds might blow the exhaust away from them. Yeah, so that's another thing. This is going to be a mile and a half tests. So this is something we haven't done yet really with the next gen is to see how it works at the mile and a half speedways. And with the faster speeds, it might help with the cooling so we'll have to kind of see what that as well. More on that later, let's get to the Roush Fenway Kozlowski stuff. What did you learn while there that we didn't already know? Well, I learned that Brad Keselowski probably does not make this move if the next gen car does not become a thing. That was the key catalyst of him making this decision to jump on with rauch Fenway racing. Now rauch Fenway Kozlowski racing and become a part owner of this team. And you have audio of that, right?.

"Hey, that's me. And yeah, things have been good, Kerry. How are you doing, man? Doing well, we are on a milestone show right here. Today, wow, this is so this is 700? No, it's 6.99. Why would I 700 be a milestone? I just figured, but yeah, I should have should have saw that coming. I just think 6.99 is a huge, massive milestone because you're almost at 700. That's true. It almost because 700, if you're at 6.9, you're going to get 700 before you quit. You can't not. Right. So, I mean, it's 6.99. It's an aggressive. Yeah, see? Now you're thinking the way Carrie Murphy thinks. I'm thinking the way a guy who does not like the Barton is o'clock, thinks I get it. Well, neither does some other guy. We're going to talk about that later on in the show. Okay, well, that's good. At least I'm reading something into it. I don't know if I'm correct or not, but as we alluded to in the intro before the intro and then the third intro. I'm not sure how many intros this show all of a sudden has. But at some point, we mentioned there's a new team, and we wish we had somebody there covering it and that happened to be you. Yes, I was on location for the Roush Fenway racing announcement, and now the rauch Fenway Kozlowski racing RFK RFK Robert F. Kennedy in silver. Yeah, well, chrome, I guess. But yes, chrome. Even the logo was chrome. Yeah, it was all chromed out. Okay, so let's go through the process because you know it's the off season. We've got plenty of time on our hands. How do they reach out to you to show up or did you apply to go there or how did that all work? Yeah, so the team PR will send out a mass email to everybody on their list and say, hey, we're having an announcement. We want RSVP and show up. That way, they kind of know who's going to be there. And so that's what you do. I never got that. Of course, I don't think I've gotten a single email from Roush Fenway, and since 2004, I don't know why. Well, that was the thing. I don't know what the deal was either. I had somehow worked my way off their list. I was on it several years ago. And somewhere in the changing of PR people over the last few years, I was knocked off of it. So I actually had to reach out to Davey. Siegel, who's been on the show several times. A little bit. We got the chain moving that way by finding out who it came from so that way I could reach out to that person directly and I'll take care of. So thank you, David. All right. Once again, he's doing better than you. He always comes through in the clutch. I'm telling you. I'm kind of still rethinking this whole thing. I mean, I would if I were you. I'm big on. The ironic thing is the time of the weakest of the three. So I'm the one who talks all the smack. Well, you've got the you've got the golden voice, though. That's what it's all about. I don't know about that. I just have longevity at this point. So all right, so you get the invite, you show up at Roush Fenway racing and as you are there, it turns into a new team. Yeah, it's a whole new team. A brand new world for rauch Jack Roush, Brad Keselowski, Steve Newark was there as well the president of rauch family Kozlowski racing. And yeah, so I think the I think it's a pretty cool look, the whole thing they did, they showed the new number 6 car font as well, which was kind of like an ode to the original Mark Martin font with the team, but they kind of gave it a little bit of a tile italicized slant. So now are they going with that green where was that just for the announcement or that is the team green? They brought Fenway, the Fenway group in that green has been with rauch since then. This look more neon than the other before green. Well, I think a lot of that was lighting in the area plus they had the neon lighting underneath the car. So it made it seem right neon green than it was. The old green was more like the green monster at Fenway, which makes sense. Well, that's what the car was in person. So a lot of the photos it comes out a little weird, especially when you have all that weird lighting going on around it. Oh, but it was the darker darker green. It totally looked fluorescent. Yeah, you're talking about the photo I took there of the whole side of the car. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. It was coming out weird, because all those neon lights everywhere. So it was kind of hard for the camera to adjust and figure out what was what, but it was actually a dark green. Now, is this the first time you've seen the next gen car up close? No. Actually, I was at a shop a few days before this checking out one of the team's new next gens. A team that I was at, I don't think they want me to disclose who they are. So I'll leave that alone. That's fine. But yeah, I was out there checking it out and it was awesome. The splitters are the thing I think is really interesting by looking at it. They were at the test at the Charlotte roval. That thing took a beating and these things are not very cheap. So I think it was like 2500, $3000 somewhere in there for the splitter on this thing, which is all carbon fiber, and that thing took a beating in that test session. So imagine that at Indianapolis? Oh my gosh, imagine if they hit the freaking the curbing, they got ripped apart. We're going to have to have the turtles on the show. Yeah. And so by the time you're listening to this, I'll probably be at Charlotte for the next gen test or it'll be over with that point. But we were going to mention that, but go ahead. Yeah, they're going to be testing out some new things on the next gen this time around. If you look at the picture that I posted of Kozlowski's next gen, which is the actual one, they'll be testing. The exhaust is actually further up on the side of the car than it has been to this point. You know, it's funny you mentioned that because that was like the first thing I noticed, and I was like, did they used it? Were they used to be that up that far or is that new? Or what's going on there? And the reason I thought of it is because the placement, it's going to be harder for drivers to cut other drivers tires down, isn't it? Yeah, no, definitely it will be..

What Can Brad Keselowski Bring From Team Penske to Roush Fenway?

"Among the many changes for next season in nascar brand kozlowski moving from penske racing or team. Penske over to rows fenway and he talks about some of the other changes going on in the sport from perspective of today still change and it changes a reset as to whether that changes successful and reducing the cost of the sport. You know all these other competitive elements. I don't know by do no. It's a reset. And i know resets represent at this point in time that this has been a woman. Say how shosh screwy the media. But i i've tried to be respectful to other parties would be team pants and beyond to not be talking to too many people and expose things. We've been working on. So i imagine there'd be a lot of conversations now that today has happened brand kazlauskas have champion. He has won many races in the nascar cup series. What can he bring over that. He's learned team. Penske over to rash fenway in his new deal for twenty twenty two tremendous. I mean i think it just mostly a culture of excellence which is a very vague vague description in term. What it means a lot to me. It means not selling anything less than your best. And every facet of the operations of the company and whether that's competitive or or not You know there's a team of people and weighed all the polaroid the same direction

"Of things. You can probably bring a lot to this new car. Maybe find things here and there that other people might not see onset from it. Yeah no i. I think that would be the way. He will be the most valuable. In general to a team. is as kind of a consultant driver tester type of thing And i don't think it's a big surprise at all that we're seeing all of this movement in terms of new teams drivers being more involved in In team ownership right around the time of this nexgen car. I mean i think that that was the impetus for Jeff gordon to call it quits on the broadcast side. Because they're starting this new era so start off with your people that you want in the future in this new we are and the same thing with rouse racing too so with any hamlin in twenty three eleven for that matter. Yeah i guess so to a lesser extent. Yeah just because he is some that someone who's just they're gonna deal like he's like he's not. He's not on the team. He's not worth the team. He's gotta just his name. Is there you know but but i mean obviously you guys are positioning themselves. Because they think there's going to be more opportunity to race cheaper in in the next gen car which speaking of apparently The teams getting their chassis. This week from the the chassis manufacturer. Catchy man sued by so there that The only other things not a whole lot going on there was a weird thing that happened last weekend. Bo chase elliott and alex bowman were given l one penalties which are big ones twenty five points their crew chiefs both find fifty grand and suspended for race because they swapped motors and apparently it's not like those parties. I used to go to wherever you put their keys in. The ball is not like that. Yeah so If the if you use an engine in the number nine car it has to be used in the non car for the rest of the year and forty eight likewise will they took an engine from the nine and they put it in the forty eight and apparently was clerical. Error is what rick kendrick said. I think he blamed it on. Jeff gordon is really what he did he said the new guy i hear. I just don't know what the new new guy did. The paperwork wrong. And hey it wasn't my fault cell but the thing about it is that even though it was clearly like a mistake by the crew chiefs both drivers not just i mean it was a nine engine in the forty eight car bowl. Teams got penalized. Had nothing to do with the nine and both drivers lost twenty five points which i thought was kind of extreme but i mean them to rules. I guess yeah. I mean i. It's kind of weird That that you would think that within organization you can be a little interbreeding of that. But i guess not go ahead and and have an sexual relationship with another car fairly reared and how can you tell like do. They engrave on the end. That was a number nine out of this Break that down into. How does that work. This serial numbers. And i can only assume that they either check the serial numbers in post-race inspection or maybe one of those two cars got hold Random for inspection. They found it They found the wrong motor and under something. I guess it will have to in the forty eight because forty it was when they had the wrong motor in it. Yeah like puxi. Yeah super weird. But i mean i guess it could happen. I obviously it's no performance advantage because all the engines are built to the same set of rules. So i don't even know why it's a big deal but i guess the nascar's view it's a big deal. I don't know yeah. I mean i yeah. I don't get it either like it's if houston another car Dads are probably gonna blow up possibly soon to say it's already used motor. you know. yeah it's already us. Come on guys. what are we doing here. head then something called kyle. Tilley is gonna run for live past racing in the seventy s. Carthy andy road course. Hey good for him. I arrive blacktop. Mo-jo sponsoring the gray. This car doesn't look bad. Gonna beatles song i is it. I don't know its name of band. Apparently and i've never heard of the span. The anybody's heard of this band. I figured if anybody heard of it you would have heard of him. Top he top mojo beatles. I guess they stole their name song. Just they don't look like the beatles. If you google them no no they don't look like oh god they look like okay so i haven't It's a rock band. Okay from palestine texas okay not the country Interesting okay see. I would have thought by the looks of it. I didn't see them. I haven't heard any of the music. I would have thought that was a a like a pop country band. Oh yeah for sure. That's exactly what people southern rock inspired. Yeah for sure they do definitely look like the face of modern country. Music you know. Hey listen to get some snaps in there. And they're good to go pretty sure you convert anything to to uh to country music pop country and And then Deal i the only reason. I put this on here to deal with clubhouse media group right and it's basically like a nothing burger. I mean is not a sponsorship on the car that could find in the press. Release they It's basically just This clubhouse media group is going to help them with their With their social media for the next month or so. And then when i started looking up who clubhouse media group is apparently. They're like super sketch and they just like kind of aggregate influencers together and then say that those are their followers when they're really not and a whole bunch of Stupid people invested in their company when they went public because they had them confused with something called clubhouse which is an app like a social media app and they did nothing to like to you. Know distinguish themselves as people investing. They're like oh yeah. Yeah yeah cool. Yeah springing the money. We're going to be big. And they let people believe they were investing in something that they weren't very bizarre. Media is really a Wasteland beyond oh it totally is and the best part is in the press release. They said that their global reach is four hundred million followers and i looked them up on twitter and they have forty three hundred dollars in reach. Either that's the thing is is forty three thousand followers sure. Air bala have this amount of people in the and that our reach jets. How they're doing it. they're saying. Oh yeah no but but all of the the hot girls that post on our instagram all have followers themselves and it fact. Oh yeah and so. The problem is is that here. I'm waiting for it to load right now. The problem is that even though clubhouse is like posting a picture of the nascar car like dakota or whoever is affiliated with them devon or michelle or gabriella. they're not posting about the car to their followers. So it's not really working the way that they're positioning it as right. Yeah no shocking. That a influence her area is not having the same clear clarity. That other markets have yeah. Yeah and when you follow that when you say that when they have the pictures of who they're affiliated with like when you click on it doesn't take them it doesn't take you to their page. So who knows if they even have followers. I think the whole thing is just a a work. Mother headquarters is in china. So you were there. You go okay. Well good luck with that require racing to a match made in heaven when you think -actly exactly so that does that's all we got. We had nothing. "Gets hot because it doesn't get hot there. It gets like eighty ninety with like insane humidity and just no snow rest for the sun. No shaded the sun no darkness on the track to end the race early like we had exactly what cf. i mean. i think were go. There was a huge. Cf and the crappy part about it. The crab part about this race in new hampshire is that it was a cf at the beginning. A cf at the end data overshadow will i thought was actually some really damn. Good racing wasn't bad. it was it was. It was very not new hampshire. Yeah necessarily known for all that but they did. They did the good thing. I mean definitely found the timing at new hampshire really good after the good. Toyotas were kind of knocked out. You But i mean i think that we when you if nascar had had is and things to feel they would have pushed the start back because it was raining everywhere but in the damn track start. I mean it was on the cameras. It was on the windshields on everything that was that was the dumbest part two is that nascar acted because they sent steve. O'donnell up to the booth to like say it wasn't their fault and that's exactly what he did he said. It wasn't nascar from answers. Undefeated for nascar. It's insanity and it's like oh man it sprung up so quick we didn't know and then you know. Nbc was like. Oh wow man. It sprung up so quick. Nobody could have know. And i'm like what are you talking about. Every single effing driver including kyle busch was like for two laps. We were saying it's raining out here. Nobody did crap about it. Yeah and i mean the boot-lickers that are the race car drivers and crew chief on nbc. definitely played the role very hard and very well which by the way i really missed alleman this one i really mystery allen and this one and this is something we should clip it. Because i'm probably not going to say much of the rest of the year because that drivers only thing was a box you know. I'm torn on it. Because i liked not having the puke voice but yeah it was disjointed. And there'd just was nobody driving the bus really and everyone sounds the same but different totally different actors. Do they kinda do junior. Sometimes if i'm not paying attention i really have to pay. I really have to concentrate to tell the difference between a burton and dill junior. And then yeah. It's not that far off. Yeah it's just different tone. It's it's very terrible but yeah but but here's the thing if you if you pause that racer you delay the start of that race then you can figure out a plan on when to end the race and not do it just spur of the moment like they did right exactly. Yeah and that was the weirdest part is that they were getting down to the very end. And they're the nbc commentators saying the opposite. They were like yeah. It's getting dark but you remember that one bristol race it was really really dark then or martinsville or whatever when he says the jeff gordon rates to those super dark. Yeah yeah and martinsville. That was it because he won the martinsville to get him into the final four. Yes that's right that's right. Yeah and they were saying that race was way darker and the nascar calls this early. So you figure that there would be like a little more leeway especially since they call it with less than ten effing laps to go. I mean just run the i. It's a thirty second track. Run the extra eight laps or whatever it is. I thought but at that point they'd already left up on safety race. Probably not going to take the risk going effing up on safety at the end of the rates and he's like oh if you sure did four by four labs. We wouldn't have had this five car accident at the end. Yeah no you're right about that. And it wasn't buckle. At the beginning. I felt bad for the guys up at the front Because obviously cow. Bush didn't even get to finish the race and i thought i've written down so mark's junior who got into the wall he finished twelfth denny. Hamlin just barely touched. The wall only had minor damage. He ended up finishing tenth. Who knows if that decision ruin their race or just messed up their race. I mean it did ruin cows race and you know he didn't say anything and i think that was the one time in an interview where he pretty much could have gotten away with anything because he did get away with hitting the pace car. Yeah he did. That was. That was probably the greatest thing in the world is trying to turn the pace car and not working or at least damage. The pace car. Overall i i and for martin x drama there was Pitting underpinning under the clock. Making sure he did. Crash clock was on them. Yeah and then. Joey llanos drama that he had after Coming down oh yeah. Fixing fixing a red flag up. His remember went in there and saw the hung throttle and try to get it out. And then it whoopsie poops. There's cameras everywhere. Yeah that was really stupid. Because even if i mean if you got it out. They had the penalty. They did get it out under caution or green or whatever. I was cautioned at that point. They dig into that. He came down pit road there. The pop the hood that took way less time than the two laps that they held him. Because the guy tried to be sneaky and and grab the rubber before they Before they went back to caution again they'll finish fourth that he went to lapse down. It's still finished fourth straight. Joey joyce good there. Yeah always cowboy. But eric merola man i gotta give him credit because he kinda came out of nowhere this season from what he's been doing this easy sucked all year long. And this wasn't a gimme win. This wasn't a because you know of darkness because called the darkness like gamble where he stayed out or anything he legitimately was fast. He'll legitimately drove up there and went past ryan. Blaney had a better long run car and because of that he just flat won the race. Man you could almost call it a luck win because his tires were almost shocked by the end of it. Because i think didn't they say he hadn't picked up one eighty nine so he ran. He ran over one hundred laps on those tires. Wow i mean that's one of those deals is like my goodness gracious But i think if if memory serves. He's the first official qualifier for stewart. Haas in the playoffs. Which i think none of us had. I wouldn't have picked him as being the one. Yeah because kevin harvick's still technically not safe still has not one won. A race has not safe in the points they have. But and we'll talk about this coming up here in a second eric. Merola winning definitely makes things interesting thing. Yeah definitely does way more than the kurt busch thing did i ratings for this one. Were okay two point one million on nbc esn a little below where they probably should be. They should probably be in the two and a half area Not the there were a decent number of fans in the stands at the very beginning before they started like when it was raining. But then you can't really tell after that because of the rain that screws everything up when it comes to you know who stays and who doesn't But obviously it was surprised to see eric amrullah finished first in this race it was only his third top ten of the season. It's pretty wild. All things considered and it's like i win. That's not a super speedway track. Either yeah so. I mean big big accolades for mr amaral. On this one yeah. Christopher bell finished second he has three straight top ten finishes and he's now finished top ten in four of the last six races so he's getting a little bit momentum heading toward the playoffs. Yeah it's almost to the point. Where he he's not he's not a he's not a surprise finisher almost anymore. Yeah no you're right about that and then another driver. That is close.

"Matt Roush joined us earlier to talk about some big stars in new sitcoms. Well, the first big name is Wayne Johnson, who has become quite the movie stars and dropping the name the Rock. But here he sort of embracing again. He's got a new NBC sitcom called Young Rock, where he's sort of the narrator of the piece. You see him and every episode, But he sets up stories about his coming of age and apparently had such an eventful childhood that he has three young actors playing him in different timelines. One 10 years old when he's living in Hawaii with his wrestler, father and all those other wrestlers and then 15 when he's moved in Pennsylvania, and he's almost drifting into delinquency, and then it 18 when he's in Miami University, Miami as a college football draftees, So you see all these different life lessons that he tells the framework is that he's running for president the year 2032. Then he's telling us all these little life lessons and stories. Not terribly funny, but it's a sweet show. And if you like the rock, you're probably like this. But to me the bigger deal is that Keenan Thompson is coming to prime time after all those many years on Saturday night Live. He's the longest running cast member on that show, and he's got a show called Keenan where he's playing a widow. Dad got two adorable daughters. He hosts a morning show in Atlanta, and he's processing his grief. But he's got a big family around him, including, in a big surprise, Don Johnson playing his father in law, who's really funny, really laid back and fun. Here a nice surprise there. But Keenan, you know, he's just got a great personality. That's a good fit for him. Yeah, he does so well in SNL. I'm really rooting for him to do well on this show as well. Yeah, Me too. Yeah, and who else? Well, we also have Kevin James, who's had a couple of big hit shows on CBS. And he's got to show that set in the world of NASCAR very well timed, coming right after today's scheduled running of the Daytona 500, the show is called the crew and he's the chief of the crew of a struggling racing team that's in turmoil caused. The owner of the team just stepped down. Lee has his daughter running the team. Him. It's a workplace comedy, really, But Kevin James is right at home in the world of NASCAR. So if you like NASCAR, you like Kevin James. It really feels like a kind of show that could be on CBS. But Netflix is all things to all people. First season drops on Monday. Okay, and finally briefly, Mad, something that's making you happy. And Disney. Plus oh, so much the whole five seasons. Never before all five seasons available of the Muppet Show from the 19 seventies made Kermit Miss Piggy, a star. All the stars who were stars in the seventies, played backstage with the Muppet.

"Start for Carnival and I think that it'd be a great designer you wouldn't be asking the question of how you can get into it without this being true. But speak grade you have to love hers whether you're born with that. Our happens from a very young age. You're not gonNA find passionate hers you just have it for young people need to get into it. I would try to learn in every way that you can it as. Much reading articles. There's a lot of great books out there Cheryl Smith. It's really great bugs. They are not new bugs, but really great books on tuning vehicles. Certainly, formal education is probably going to be an essential component if someone wants to go work with an OEM or with an organization like yours but you're right I think getting on the ground floor as a youngster allow somebody to get some good theoretical and hopefully some hands on experience hands on experience behind the wheel of something like a cart how your kids get interested in that is it because dad did it? They started? Very young to actually started even younger than I did at five for me I wanted to now push them into it but give them the chance to experience that it's in my obligation to give them that chance that I was given growing up. They enjoy. It can also be very frustrating. It's us for it's extremely competitive. It's pushing to be more than what you are right now that's right I guess they have to learn lessons that the might not learn in the average elementary school softball game where every child gets a prize racing as racing and there's a winner and then there isn't. So, maybe teaches some good life lessons early on to obviously your Ford Guy. But I don't know if I be out a line asking of you ever owned a different kind of car. What's Your First Guard Jack? In High School? I. Had to go to work when I turned sixteen but it wasn't mine. It was to adds it was merkur except for Ti, Hayes car man that's a car. You don't hear about much. It was also extremely Steph fight very fast in college I had a bronco to great little truck going forward my whole life talk the talk and you walk the walk that's the way it's done. tastic. Any really super fun stuff in the garage that has nothing to do with cars I'd say they're all cars right now maybe one day I might get a Naf road vehicle or something like that. But I'm having a lot of fun with my streetcars actually I'd say back the go cards my sons are in gold cards right now, and one of my daughters was doing racing with us. You would kind of lost interest but I got jealous of the kids and or myself ago occurred. So me in the two boys to go out numbers times each year in go kart race that's gotta be very gratifying seeing the family lineage continue. With a sport that's one that you literally grew up with from the youngest of ages. If you got a genie in a bottle, you're walking along one of those beaches in Florida after the homestead race and guy pops out and says, he's going to have any three cars in the world historical cars new cars doesn't matter what they are. What would you want? It'd be something that I already have probably a stage three. You know those are the words of a happy man. There's nothing more gratifying than not wanting anything at all one of the cars I most revere as the Ford Gt really the whole tradition of that car is just. You know the story the early cars in up to the Lama race car I do have access I can take out one of the Lamont cars and drive by no people but I'm honestly driving Mustang, there's something really great about it. You can drive down the street you can have fun. You don't have to worry so much about getting rack chips or other things or people grassing you. Getting in your way as they will do that saw the street but not as bad as like a for gt that's a really interesting outlook. Some people listening might say you're crazy wait a minute I want that Ford Gt, which is to put it in context is a half million to million dollar car depending on which auction you're going to because allocation so impossible but I would have to. Agree and I'm certainly not the driver you are but I had a chance to go to the Ford Track in Utah in two thousand sixteen when the Ford Gt was just released and they had also just come out with a second year the Mustang Shelby gt three, fifty are and I had a chance to spend a day on the track with each car two days there I am here. "Welcome back to cars better on this show sometimes, we talk about the other side of the coin, which is luxury designed. Do you think there's a code? I, call it an intersection between those. Is there some luxurious aspect to the products you're developing as at the experience itself? That's a luxury to be able to perform at that level. Yeah. That's very true that will change your different things that we offer like special editions you'll see. Higher. Rates of interior or cases pains. One interesting thing to look at with that question as the ride quality, we could easily stiffen up the cars and make them a little bit better on the track by in the guys were doing that from the beginning we have a really enthusiastic group of engineers who've been around forever. They don't really care how harsh it is. They want that extra fraction of a second belt they. Yeah My. Dad Actually by on that and said, we can't you that this is not comfortable. We need to make these cars comfortable and very high-performance in terms of handling since that point. I, think that was probably about two thousand five. You won't find that overly stiff type provide quality anymore we want reason we're greedy. We want people to be comfortable long drives, but also really enjoy being able to turn the coroner's I remember the stage three. Row Mustang that I was driving the handling was truly ferocious. This was a sports car, but it was a very compliant ride. It was a great ride and I thought, wow, this almost qualifies daily driver in some cases it's almost damning with faint praise. But in fact, it's a great thing to call a car if it can qualify a daily driver and still deliver sporting and performance it delivers everything is actually kind of a myth in. Say in engineering said, thank that car needs to be Steph to handle well, look at drag racing you want the car to be soft soft suspension is going to be better for drag racing get that way transfer in certain periods of my road racing career. We actually were very dominant by going with a much softer setup that was more compliant that let the tires last longer that road the bombs in didn't disconnect from the road with his suspension. This hires are able to not skip these are complex equations and you have to take all of those components and systems into account put. You on the spot here. Have you got any advice for people who want to get into car design engineering and or racing scene? Where did they start for Carnival and I think that it'd be a great designer you wouldn't be asking the question of how you can get into it without this being true. But speak grade you have.

"Developing our performance products than probably most if not all other companies that you've you being similar to ours that's really fascinating. So in other words, whatever lessons are learned, advanced engineering applications might be applied the developing some great thrill ride or a roller coaster or a military application might in some way, find its way trickling down into one of the. Great cars or trucks that you build. Absolutely. Of course, on the surface, it would look like what you do for a living has a great big blue of lawn it. I know that Ford and Rauscher Kinda synonymous with each other aren't they? Oh, absolutely been very lucky to have a great relationship with Ford for many years on a number of different fronts including the racing for Rosh. Performance. Florida already produces amazing. Vehicles, and we put our own spin on it try to make them really wild and really blend the line between racing and streetcars. But you know it's a great package to start from. That's a good point because you're right off the lot. Mustang. Gt is a pretty fun ride. I'm a real fan of mental make no bones about that I think of all the contemporary American sports, cars I, think my pick. Would have to be the Mustang probably even over at above the corvette because the Mustang is just maybe even just a little more authentic in its own way corvettes fantastic car but it's so way out there that Mustang actually connects me with my roots and I think a lot of people feel that way. What does it take to make a great car or truck even better? There is no secret formula we. Have to look at what the offering is that year in trying to figure out, is there an opportunity to make it better or can we also do it in a way that is value we could easily spend a lot of money to develop something that no one wants or knowing could afford but that's not gonNA help anybody each year we do have to look at what the offering is and figure out. Exactly, how we can help upgrade for performance speaking of those Ford offerings it's funny I mean, it used to be there was a whole family tree of vehicles, but it's no secret that Ford is pretty much what their stake in the ground is. One of the first OEM's manufacturers to declare that they're cutting back on sedans and turn it if you want Ford, it's probably going to be a Mustang or a truck. And obviously, we've got their new vehicles government in and there's still going to be some other offerings. But from a performance standpoint, if you WANNA rouch prepared for product, it's going to be a mustang or it's going to be one of the F.. One fifties is that how it goes pretty much. We do have a new ranger right now right did. WanNa, talk to you about that ranger that's their midsize truck. Yeah. Let's start there and then work backwards as to the ranger is a great platform. We do off road upgraded package that upgraded styling wheels, tires, exile. It's a lot of fun for some people enough when fifty eight or super duty may be too large and that's really I think we're the. Shines we do offer a super duty is while looking across those three different tracks there's a pretty big difference from showing zoo capability or is power. All Bad. So ranger really adds just another elements that Wino-, there's no question about of the super duties those F. One fifties can get pretty big. But of course, that's probably the idea if you're after one of those so many owners use them actually for business for work for hauling towing. Of course, some guys and Gals I suppose just want them for fun. Know I had a chance to play around with that raptor for about a week. And Man, that's a truck to fall in. Love with give us a glimpse of your real hot rod truck. If someone says I, want the most outrageous performance truck possible. What are they order? That's a tough one to answer because at Janine such different things I wrestled with myself. I recently got one of our trucks are off road f one, fifty as a supercharge six, hundred, fifty horsepower through me that was kind of the bass choice ridiculous power the raptors great the raptor probably better off road truck to some extent but the problem with the raptor for me was that I needed so. My kids go her trailer well, as it does run in the family snow, the added horsepower and a little bit stiffer suspension although it is very capable ops road Ese was about choice for some people want WanNa do more off roading to get out and do Johnston really pushed hard ahead, trail raptor maybe the best choice you've also got one called the nightmare about the. So the nightmare street truck as really optimized for performance, it's thousand nights. We were able to claim the title of the quickest production truck with that what is that about two zero to sixty in something or other either Quarter miles the zero to sixty time with regular cab four by four is three point nine seconds. That's Porsche nine eleven territory. Yeah. I had a chance to sample one.

Think this kind of played out of course, he got involved in Nascar and that was the big entry into the big game that was in the eighties late eighties that was his first professional racing. But that was definitely one of the biggest as far as views and all that sort of thing we'll certainly as the winningest team owner and the history of the sport at certainly set the stage for some exciting things that were to come but I guess racing really. Is in the rash DNA talk about how you started racing. I understand you start brearley when I was only about two months old. My Dad ordered a go-cart for me. Obviously I was young to drive but I had two older sisters you went away on a drag racing trip and he was injured pretty bad i. think it was in the hospital for about a week and when he came home, he shows up and he sees the big box for the go-cart sitting outside.

Emmy Awards 2020: Stars prepare to dial in for virtual ceremony

"It is time for the Emmy Awards They'll be airing tonight on ABC. Earlier, I talked with TV guides Matt Roush about how Cove it will affect this year's ceremony. Like everything else is going to be so weird and remote as most things are. Nowadays, you can't gather a big crowd like that. There's no red carpet. The nominees will be home or somewhere like that. And so they sent cameras about 100 locations in multiple countries. And wherever the nominees are whoever is gonna win. They're goingto win at home or somewhere, and they're not all going to be in the Big theatre. They're probably going to be dressed in their jammies or something, or some people might be Glammed up, we'll find out, but it's just gonna be so strange. Hopefully, Jimmy Kimmel still find some humor in all of this, but it's going to be just a very different Emmy than you've ever seen

2020 Daytona 500 ends in scary crash involving Ryan Newman

"Seven before I go any farther for those of you who went to bed early relatively early on Monday you made out of her the update on Ryan Newman very scary I'm not just scary looking crash but scary in reality crashed sometimes they look worse than they really are but in this case on the final turn at Daytona there and they're coming through the tri oval Ryan Newman got bumped from behind by Dave Blaney and then as he turned and made a you know made a right hand turn turn and slammed into the wall he's he's up there on the track and it's Corey love joy who comes in behind it kind of gets his nose underneath Newman's car and the car flipped up in the air and lands on its hood and then go sliding all the way from where it was all the way to the you know to the start finish line and across the finish line so he technically finished in fourth in the race believe it or not because his momentum carried him across the finish line but his car was completely mangled it was it was a pile of rubble there was fire all around if there was fuel spilling out of his vehicle was so badly damaged and he took a long time for them to get him out of the car it's a really scary even as Denny Hamlin ends up in victory lane and and there was a subdued celebration but I don't think they had any idea how serious it was with Ryan Newman it took a long time for them to get him out of the car and they were they they had to put the car back over so they could they could on trap them but they also you they put out the fire they brought in an ambulance they put a stretcher right next to the car that they put up these black screens all around and they required that media left pit road so they weren't allowing any media to be anywhere near and I I think that set off a lot of worst imagination and worst case scenario possibilities as it turned out Ryan was awake when they got him out of the cars we need help but there's now video out there and and I had gotten gotten a report a report I'd gotten a a text from a friend of mine who works for five Oct that the video crews had seen that he was awake and so we don't know anything else about his condition just that at least for a time when they pulled out of the car he was conscious which you know I was positive about hopeful but that he was rushed right to the trauma center at the Halifax Medical Center and then it was quiet for another hour at least in there was nothing which again sometimes leads people to to assume the worst thankfully around ten oh five or so eastern time there was an update from the executive vice president of NASCAR Steve o'donnell Ryan Newman is being treated at Halifax Medical Center he's in serious condition but doctors have indicated his injuries or non life threatening we appreciate your thoughts and prayers and ask that you respect the privacy of Ryan and his family during this time we appreciate your patience and cooperation and will provide more information as it becomes available this is the same with the NASCAR is used to stay with that Roush racing has used to stay with us all righty Newman's Twitter they're sticking to the same sex line statement so we don't know anything else about his injuries the extent of his injuries but that doctors have said his injuries are not life threatening so that's the best news is in serious condition I he's stable but we don't do anything else he could have very serious injuries but thankfully they're not life threatening so wait to hear something else from Halifax Medical Center hoping for something early on this Tuesday and a lot of fans obviously you're praying for I'm at dell worrying and and wanting to know if there's any updates so we just want to pass that along from NASCAR Virginie Hammadi with his second straight Daytona five hundred and it was a pretty incredible last lap of racing that was legit for most of it until they had that contact but he and his team owner Joe Gibbs were royally criticized for celebrating for being in victory lane for taking photos for the confetti and all that but I hope that people will cut them a little slack because the track is enormous in victory lane is not near where where they were attending to Ryan Newman and you know it if you know anything about Joe Gibbs he's classy he's he's a man of integrity he's kind of this is not a man who would be carelessly celebrating with wild abandon and and not being worried about another driver because he's been in NASCAR for a long time he's got drivers are in these positions all the time and so after the fact both Denny Hamlin and Joe Gibbs were we're trying to explain that they just they didn't know it's a weird balance of your excitement and happiness for yourself but obviously someone's health and their families you're bigger than any wind and in any sport so you know we're we're just hoping for the best I say to everybody out there some people may have sauces have all these guys are celebrating when there's a serious issue going on so hopefully I apologize there by but we really didn't know we got no winner circle and then that's when people told us later on the winner's circle so I wanted to explain that there were one so again I believe Joe gives deserves the benefit of the doubt because he's again a man of integrity that's all he's ever been whether he was a football whether he was in NASCAR this is a guy who really does care about the people who work for any cares about that just people in general is very

"Ceremony is tonight's bringing together a star studded performances with us to talk about it is TV guide magazine's Matt Roush so Matt what are some of the best TV moments you're expecting tonight well if if if as usual there are gonna be a lot of tributes to to great that music legends such as you're gonna see a tribute to John pride for money rate is always a favorite you're gonna see a big is all star salute to the slain rapper Nipsey Hussle John legend a DJ collagen meek mill are going to be part of that it was a big hit songs from the last year was old town road Billy ray Cyrus allows acts but a lot of people have covered it so they're expecting surprise guests to do sort of a mega mashup of a big hit song from today and then in one more curious things you might not expect to see on the Grammys is going to be a salute to the the movie fame I think of going to tie into like education in schools or whatever but Debbie Allen who's associated with original same choreographed this piece that's going to have this very eclectic cast of people so Josh will bell who's a violinist and misty Copeland who's a ballerina common who's a rapper Cindy Lau per Ben Platt who was dear Evan Hansen John legend than that one too you're gonna get interesting to S. like run DMC and Aerosmith a classic pairing of Blake Shelton with his his significant other Gwen Stefani performing and so it goes on like that but one aspect of the Grammy's it's interesting this year is that it as it put the best face forward on the music industry the recording industry of southern recording at the cabin itself is being oiled by some behind the scenes turmoil where they ousted their their chief executive and she's been going on even CBS this morning which I thought was kind of brave of them since they're all about promoting the Grammys but they put her on to alleged irregularities in conflict of interest in the voting procedures for the Grammys and and and so there is some role I guess some public relations interest the dilemma there for them but I imagine that if it's even reflected in the show itself that that they will keep moving forward and I try to put the best face forward were like I said yeah that's an ugly situation and I have heard concerns that it's going to overshadow at least some elements of the ceremony tonight yeah I think if there were some of the performers who were sort of on her side and agree because there have been controversies over the over the over the years about can it be the inclusion of a certain kinds of artists and and and representation who wins and who even gets nominated and and she was trying to bring some of that to light and then looks like they pushed her out so I think that could create a real interesting situation because once the every special music people get in front of microphone you never know what's gonna come out they may not be going for politics they may be going for internal politics okay TV guide magazine's Matt Roush thanks so much the Grammys by the way start tonight on CBS at eight o'clock a big birthday today for one of rock and roll's guitar heroes Eddie Van Halen could always absolutely shredded the
