What they're saying: Philadelphia Eagles, Wentz or other teams — who has the leverage?
"All about away. Bought away by the way. The miami dolphins got their guy. I just meant they got us. That dude is they got a guy young guy so let's put some. what are we talking about. Let's put the question. Then this way. And by the way i would say this right now to are coordinating producer. Pete mcconville and our producer. Allie grenade. i don't understand how we do not yet have a feature called jeff saturday. Who's high this week. I mean every week jeff. Hester name that's got to become a tuesday stable. Is this week. We make a segment out of everything on this show but markets very quickly. If the dolphins get forgetting about guam if the dolphins get to shawn watson are they the biggest threat to kansas city in the afc next year. Yeah they are. And i know i say that because i saw were buffalo did. But i'm taking the sean before. I take josh allen and their defense. I'm taking miami. Defense with the sean. Look the inspire football. You play when you have a guy at that position that you know you can't win wit. It takes it to a different level. I love how floor is coaching. But i do think that sometimes going in and out with fits magic and into mayor. Put this team in kabul unknown territory. About what their identity was offensively and the defense never had a question. About what their identity. Would you bring this on. You answer that question. That's our quarterback. Raise the level of play of everybody around you. Oh and yeah let me tell you why. Because he threw for the most yards went out of number one receive on team this year. That's how good he is. Listen this is a no brainer. I would love to see desha watson and josh allen go toe-to-toe for years to come in that division and see who can make it out and then get the kansas city potentially in the afc championship bottom line in miami. They've been trying to find the next dan marino for twenty years. They thought maybe you're still may have him into a tunga vilo but shawn watson is as much more. A known commodity will see if that plays out. Meanwhile quarterback rumors are everywhere including these that the eagles wanna move carson wentz. We know that. What kind of market are they. Finding darlington has the very latest. It could be very interesting. Plus lebron james having another mvp caliber season. You'll hear why jay williams thinks he should win the academy award as well. That's on the way this is get up on. Espn do you own. Read your home share. You and i bet it can be hard work. You know it's easy bundling policies with geico geico makes it easy to bundle your homeowner's or renter's insurance along with your auto policy. It's a good thing too because you already have so much to do around your home. Go to geico dot com. Get a quote and see how much you could save. Its gyco easy visit. Geico dot com. Today that's geico dot com on. We go get up. And another of the quarterback trade sagas continues this one involving that main carson wentz whom league sources believe is on the way out of philadelphia and the eagles may also explore options with his longtime tight. Ends zach ertz. Perhaps philly could include ertz in a wentz package to maximize trade value. Words has one year and eight point. Two five million dollars left on his contract it look. There's a whole lot of speculation in jeff darlington insider here. I'll start with you as to why no deal has been worked out with wentz yet and one of the ways that i look at it from afar is maybe eagles. Just overestimate what it is. People might be willing to give up for wentz at this point when you consider the contract that he has. It's essentially the same circumstance as jared goff in los angeles and the rams had to pay a team to take him off their hands. So is that how similar or those situations and could that be. What's holding this thing up. Well very possible. Greedy speaking with a source with the eagles who certainly understand everything. That's going on with this deal. And you know the one thing that he said. I said what's the holdup here in his answers february sixteenth. Today lear doesn't even start for another month by a bunch of exclamation points and there is something certainly to that. March nineteenth is the date that they'd have to decide on paying him. That ten million dollar rostov on this. This is the runway that they're working with now. Of course you do want to make sure that you make the most of your leverage multiple teams involved. You don't wanna lose one of those teams and then Maybe cost yourself some compensation from that other team but we can point out here that This this source also told me that there is no no trade clause in carson wentz deal so it doesn't really matter say he wants to go to the colts but they're getting more compensation from the bears. They could just send him to the bears. It wouldn't be a problem

"Andrei Chica tea. Low slunk through the park with his jar of beer is scanning a quiet walks. He was a nervous looking man but there was a menacing intensity to his gaze. He was looking for something or someone. He hurried onwards out of the park and into the city streets. Whatever Andre was looking for wasn't here? Four plainclothes watchers followed lingering. Half a block behind him as he hurried down the desolate winter tur- streets. Andre was still searching his eyes darting all around but it wasn't the watchers he was looking for. He didn't take a second glance at those tall men in their long dark jackets instead. A local bus stop caught his interest. Andrei race sidled up to a young boy waiting for his afternoon ride to the average person he looked innocent standing side by side with the kid. Andrei shoved his hands into his pockets and matched the little boys movements one could find their interaction almost sweet but the watchers new better. Though they couldn't hear Andres voice as he leaned towards the child. They knew what he he was saying waiting for the bus long. Come I know a chocolate shop nearby where we can warm up or perhaps come. I know a shortcut that will get you home faster or you seem like a smart boy. I've got something that might interest interest you but Andres offer was soon interrupted by the boss. The boy with a shy smile and a little mitton wave clambered lambert on Andrei stood on the curb alone forlorn but he didn't smoke long by the time. The bus pulled away from the corner. Her Andrei was walking once again. The first attempt of the day was rarely the right victim. Anyway a few more tries and he'd have of his kid or his woman. The watchers spent another few hours following Andrei as they done these past six days eventually. He wondered into a cafe to warm up. The watchers collectively gave the nod. They waited long enough as he walked out of the cafe. They moved in. The game was up. Andrei howled on the ride to the station. He was no serial killer in fact he'd been arrested before in nineteen eighty four and he'd been released he he gave an official statement doubling down on the denial but the evidence quickly mounted against him. A strip search revealed. The old one of his fingers was losing with blood thanks to an untreated flesh wound upon closer examination. A doctor confirmed that the injury was the result of a bite from a human. When the arresting officers searched Andres belongings? They found found a knife and some length of rope. The Rostov ripper signature weapon was a knife he generally stabbed his victims upwards of twenty times and mutilated their dead bodies castrating them cutting off nipples and disemboweling them. It was this extreme post mortem violence that earned the ripper. His grim nickname police had plenty of other evidence evidence pointing to Andrei to. He'd been spotted at the scene of the most recent murder with blood on his cheek. They connected him to various towns and in cities where the Rostov rippers crimes had taken place and he had a documented history of sexually assaulting children from his days. He's as a teacher. Admittedly their evidence was all circumstantial to really cinch. Their case against Andrei they need a confession and they were determined to get it. Coming up. Andrey's interrogation drags along until police call in in a psychiatrist now back to the story after twelve years of searching for the Rostov ripper Russian. Investigators arrested listed Andrei Chicoti Low on November Twentieth Nineteen Ninety. They had a strong circumstantial case against him but they needed needed a confession to ensure he stayed behind bars. Dan Cummins is here to discuss how investigators got that compassion as well list some of the context surrounding the case. Thanks Vanessa. Andres interrogation began on November twenty first day after his arrest and IT I. I didn't go too well. The police tried to level with Andre. They suggested that he was a very sick man. If he confessed he might be able to plead insanity. Then we get the help you need it in a hospital instead of going to prison. But that strategy didn't work though. He acknowledged his past incidents of sexual assault while working as a schoolteacher feature. Andre flatly denied any involvement in the rippers gruesome crimes. The police started to get nervous. The clock is ticking. Under Soviet law they could only to hold a suspect for ten days then they had to either charge him with the crime or release him. So on the twenty ninth of November after eight days of fruitless list interrogation. They brought in psychiatrist. Dr Alexander Lugansky. Dr Bukowski had already played an important and an historic role in the investigation. He wrote a psychological profile of the Rostov ripper in one thousand nine hundred eighty five seven years into the killing spree. It was the first instance of such consultation in the history of Soviet serial killer investigations. His report was a remarkably accurate portrait of Andrei Chikatilo not low Bukowski described the Rostov ripper as a man between the ages of forty. Five and fifty. Andre was forty two when he first killed in nineteen seventy eight forty-nine when Bukowski wrote his report and fifty four when he was arrested in one thousand nine hundred ninety can ski suggested the killer experienced difficult. It is located childhood Andre Group Desperately Poor and routinely ridiculed by classmates and his own mother. He may have also witnessed his mother's sexual assault salt as a young boy. Furthermore Buchen Oscars report described the killer as a desperately shy man capable of flirting with women and prone to impotence the Rostov ripper was a sadist who could only achieve arousal through violence and his weapon of choice. A knife was analogous to his penis which failed to function normally normally in non-violent sexual encounters when Bukowski sat down to interrogate Andrei on November twenty ninth. He read him several sections of the sixty fifty five page. Report on the Rostov ripper. Within Two hours Andre was sobbing he admitted to Bukowski that. This portrait was of him him that Bukowski had seen him in a way no one else had and he confessed he had indeed committed the horrible murders of which he was accused. The police had their confession. There was no way they would lose their case now unless Andre proved he was insane and not fit to stand trial after a sixty day. Psychiatric Evaluation Andre was diagnosed with multiple psychological disorders but ultimately judged sane and was therefore culpable for his crimes overall. He admitted to fifty six murders. He was tried for fifty three of them. In April of one thousand nine hundred ninety two six months later he was sentenced to death for for fifty two killings in February of Nineteen ninety-four. He was executed the story of the Rostov ripper gripped the Soviet Union Union. Both before Andre Teela was caught and after this fascination was due to the gruesome nature of Andres crimes the mind boggling number of his victims and the devastatingly slow investigation into his identity. He actively terrorized the USSR's Czars Rostov Region for twelve long years thanks to the historic contributions of Dr Alexander Bukowski. His reign of terror came to its final. And I'm Vanessa. "Nine thousand nine hundred Zander obsessed with the trial of Andrei Chica -til the butcher Rostov perhaps the details of that trial inspired that first murder but use can fascinated by Teo starts to fantasize about becoming a infamous serial killer, but Houston learns from Katina that it is possible for sewer killer. If they're careful enough to remain free and active for many years and possibly decades remembered. She was active for just under twenty. Two years for pollution can undertake Aotearoa becomes an inspiration becomes determined to them to get more kills than the Rostov river. He finds his passion. Alexander position believed that it'd be easy to kill more than she could deal because in his mind, he was a genius as demonstrated by his early success with chess, and so can devise devices a killing plan, a simple but clever enough to leave no trace or sign that points back to him. He finds a place the perfect place to commit his heinous crimes and dispose of the bodies. How crazy is I can't think of ever coming across a similar goal orientated, serial killer like this. Like I feel like. Most of the ones who sucked so far killed on some six sexual compulsion like Dahmer, Casey, Ramirez, gold, say, killer toy box, killer Ridgway Bundy more. You know, Ed geene you know, the fiend of Plainfield was an utter maniac wanted to make skin suit. Why dissolved killer seemed to kill mainly to top police about his kills after he'd committed them seemed to relish the power for Alexander. It's like he was playing a video game and he just wanted the high score or like he was some kind of extreme athlete in one of the world record a clearly. He's a fucking sociopath. You don't. You don't put a plan like that in place. If there is even a tiny shred of empathy living inside you on may seventeenth two thousand one nearly nine years after that, I kill Alexander Pushkin ready to put his plan emotion. He's been plotting for nearly a decade. He returned to the familiar corner of pizza park, or it's grandfather had brought him along to play chess where old men continued to drink vodka and play and hang out and talk and. One of these men is you gonna be Pronin like shoe skin. Pronin was drunk park drunk living in the outskirts of society, invite him to walk through the park with him. Alexander told him it was the anniversary of his beloved dogs, death. He wished to visit the grave and pays respects. It was like his. He would manipulate people with historic, but I go, I miss dog had great dog with goal during for dog like just so manipulative plans people's emotions. When when they reached a lonely spot where Alex steadied buried his dog years ago, Pushkin produces a bottle of odd. Kia offers Pronin to drink while we don't know what positions chosen weapon was. On this particular occasion, we do know that later on he would use metal rods or even the vodka bottles themselves to smash the skulls victims. So in all likelihood smashes the back of Pronin, say with with the with the vodka bottle, definitely with a blunt object and then and then hauls his license body to a nearby. Well, then dumps the body down it and then his body plummets thirty feet into the dirty water below. And his plan is working in a matter of minutes. He'd killed us. Stranger he had no ties to and then completely disposed of the body leaving no evidence of a murder behind while it might seem like a well would be a terrible place to dump. Abbadi start to stink, and then people would eventually find it not not this. Well, this will fed into the sewer system of the park. So Alexander knew what he was doing. It was a brilliant disposable disposals gives me system the Moscow sewer system to well drained into his vast and winding went on for miles and miles of miles. It's a bodies ever washed up in a place where someone might notice them and that in itself was highly unlikely. It would be almost impossible to trace that body back to that location and beats a park. And so the death looked like the also excuse me. The deaths look like it'd be, it'd be accidents. There's just little ROY, blunt trauma to the back of the head. The people weren't shot stabbed excessively beaten, and a lot of times they didn't even die from the initial blow..

Andre Chica Teela the abandonment by a father and the death of a loving grandfather and a childhood head injury from a swing. These would be the main ingredients that when mixed together would create Alexander euro per shoe, skin known to family and friends, Sasha known to the world as the chessboard killer aka the beats park maniac. He sits now in solitary confinement in a Russian prison as he hasn't his two thousand seven conviction on forty eight murders and three attempted murders. But Houston's trial created intense national debate and Russia regarding reinstating the death penalty. The last person to be executed in Russia was another Moscow serial killer Sergei glove can aka the Fisher, aka the boa convicted of raping and killing eleven young boys between nineteen eighty six and nineteen Ninety-two, and then give a single. Shot to the back of his head nineteen ninety six just like the United States. He killed his first victim in nine hundred ninety. Two didn't get caught until two thousand six. Not only was he not remorseful. He was proud. He was disappointed that he wasn't convicted of killing more people than his idol. Chica Teo convicted of fifty two murders in nineteen Ninety-two his goal with sixty four one for every space on a chessboard. Why? Why did he want to kill anyone? Who did he kill? "In was over and the first major media event for postcommunist russia was the chicoti low trial and it was s circus over the six month process cheek attilo became more and more unhinged within his metal cage at one point in an argument with the judge he turned to the crowd and exposed his penis shouting what could i do with this useless thing throughout the trial chicoti look continued to expose himself rat nonsensically and at one point claim to the judge that he was pregnant this was all probably an act to boost his incredibly unlikely insanity plea chicoti lows guards noted that his attitude in his cell was somber quiet and reserved only in front of the court cameras did he began to rant and rave but judge leonid awkward sean of wasn't stirred on october 14th 1992 he sentenced chicoti look to death for fifty two of the fifty three murders for she had been tried it would be another year and a half of appeals before the sentence was carried out but on february 14th 1994 valentine's day chicoti louis was taken back to his cell and executed for his crimes the butcher of rostov was finally dead but not everyone saw reason to celebrate in his final statement judge at kouba john off laid plenty of blame on the police for their mistakes as coastal you have took to attacking the other investigators in the press buddha kov and fed his of retreated bitter and exhausted but i could john of also had much to say about soviet society it is mind they all bore some responsibility for chicoti lewis killings quote nor soviet union there was no banditry no killing of children nothing bad we lived in a barracks socialism were the word of an adult was law i was raised that way if we had a normal system of up.

"Very good nearly everyone in the soviet economy skimmed off the top normally this would have gotten only a slap on the wrist but chicoti low was disliked in his office he was cagey and antisocial his receipts from his travels were strange and he'd stay out of town much longer than he had to his boss had been trying to get rid of him for a while so in february twenty circuit of 1984 chicoti could boss fired him and filed criminal charges against him she gets hilo knew that the local court was to backed up to actually try the case but it reaffirmed his personal motto the world was unfair specifically to him all that resentment drove him with increasing frequency to the forest paths chicoti low was also getting more proficient at killing he would revisit special killing spots hidden away from the public he learned where to stabbed to limit the blood spray and prolong the suffering and other than the interrogation after his first killing police seem pleat liane aware of his existence that was until september 13th 1984 did it only been a week since chicoti lowe had killed his latest victim a 24yearold librarian named irina luccin sky he was stalking prostitutes in a rostov bus station when a police officer demanded to see inside his briefcase in it chicoti lowe had a rope a knife and a tube of lubricant the cop was sure he found the killer but we know from history that this wasn't the end for the butcher of rostov how did buddha kov mess up such an obvious catch in one word blood.
