Chris Christie Talks Deshaun Watson

"Now I want to turn over to a different sports topic, deshaun Watson. I'm asking you this because you were a prosecutor. And you might have been in front of judge Sue Robinson. She was in Delaware. I don't know if you know Sue Robinson or not. Okay. She hands down a decision 6 game suspension. I'm not taking an opinion on this until everything is done. But first of all, she talked about nonviolent sexual assault. You ever heard of such a thing? No. Okay, so Roger Goodell triggers the appeal process, which puts him in the absolute no win situation of either upsetting black athletes who believe that white owners get off or upsetting women for not taking seriously allegations of four cases of nonviolent sexual assault, but there was no prosecutorial process for deshaun Watson. I'm really conflicted about this whole thing. What do you think about it? What I think about it is that Roger Goodell has used, as you said, is put himself by appealing this. Now in an impossible position. Because quite frankly, I think the suspension and fine and penalties you just gave the Miami Dolphins are laughable. When you read that, in fact, the owner of the dolphins did say in front of a number of people that would be better off losing games than we would be winning games that people testify these said that to the coach. Now they're saying, well, he didn't really mean it. I mean, and he suspended some mid October. Now, are you going to affect the integrity of the game in a significant way? And if he's going to give now to Sean Watson, a much starter suspension, which you have to believe that that's what's now going to happen. Then if I were the black athlete, I would say that there are two different standards. One for the people who play the game and work for the people who profit from the game. And I think it's a real concern. I think that I didn't quite understand her, as I said to you, her characterization of nonviolent sexual assault. But in the end, too, there's got to be some sense of equity. And that's why I think the NFL should not have appealed. They're going to put this person in a position to make these judgments. Sometimes you're going to agree sometimes you're going to disagree, but by appealing roger Gonzalez now put his own judgment regarding Steve Ross into the crosshairs as well.

'Friends' Co-Creator Marta Kauffman Embarassed by Lack of Diversity

"Marta Kauffman is very upset because it turns out there were no black friends. And there were no Asian friends. Oh my gosh. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Ross dated an Asian lady. I remember this. I'm not sure why. She was pretty involved in the show. She has a nice character, but you know. I don't know. Did they have any blacks on the show? Oh. I'm thinking. So Marta. Miracle. Marta Kauffman says she's embarrassed by the lack of diversity on the show, and she's putting out a $4 million donation to make amends for her demographic sins. I don't think money is going to fix that, honey. Quote, I've learned a lot in the last 20 years. As she was doing a zoom interview, admitting an accepting guilt is not easy. Oh, was she charged? Was she arrested for it? I don't think anyone's ever said anything. I mean, it was just, it was a long time ago. It's painful looking at yourself in the mirror. I'm embarrassed that I didn't know better, 25 years ago. Kaufman said that the protest against the death of George Floyd opened her eyes to the presence of racism of society. Quote, I knew then I needed to course correct. You know, the only the only solution here, grace baker, is to immediately take friends off the air forever and burn all the copies. So that no one will ever ever have to be triggered by watching four white people or 5 white people. How many white people are there? 6 white people, good lord. It's like a clan rally. On a couch. Yep, they're always on the couch.

Thomas Sheahen's Objection to the Big Bang Theory

"I'm talking to Thomas Sheehan. What's that Greek? Thomas she and PhD, he's the author of a book every win. God symmetry in time. Thomas Sheen, when my book came out is atheism dead. A lot of people have emailed me because they have a young earth view of things they say that they believe the universe and everything was created only a few thousand years ago. I don't have a dog in the fight. My attitude is whatever is is and whatever scripture says is true. But a lot of people who have as high a view of scripture as I do yourself and Hugh Ross and others believe in the Big Bang. What is your most basic objection to the idea of the young earth concept? Well, the scientific evidence really is very, very good that it has existed for a very long time. I look at the first part of genesis as wonderful expression in Hebrew poetry of the fact that God was trying to communicate something to people, but whoever was on the receiving end couldn't get it all straight. And they did the very best they could and they've given us the best they could in circumstances where they don't understand fully all that God wants to say. Let me tell you about a certain 20th century guy. Well, actually, he's still alive. It's all from Brooklyn named Jerry Schroeder, grew up and went to MIT. I know Gerald Schroeder, he's in Israel. He's a genius. Go ahead. Well, he came to the table with a devout orthodox Jewish religion following a certain rabbi named knock commodities not to be confused with maimonides who were more familiar with. And he said, the universe was created in 6 days and that's what my faith says. Well, in the meantime, he's got a PhD in physics from MIT, so he knows what his science is. 13.8 billion years. And Schroeder said it's up to me to resolve what appears to be a discrepancy between my face and my science.

Matt Walsh: We Can Save the Country From Dems' Division

"So it doesn't speak to kind of the really dramatic cultural shift in this country that the Democrats listening to this show and you and I obviously both know that if you were back in the Clinton Ross Perot George H. W. Bush debates right Back in the day And a moderator had asked the question mister Clinton governor Clinton Can you please tell us what a woman is You and I both know he probably would have laughed He probably would have said well that's absurd Is this a real they would have thought it was a setup Probably would have had a staff command and say this is some kind of a joke we're being set up I mean this is the kind of thing that was almost comical back in the day But now we've come to the point where this is an accepted mainstream thought on the left at a woman is whatever you think it is rather than it being an adult human female which is just common sense I mean is there any saving the party from this or they throw to the radical left and are they really finished that they've divorced from common sense I think the Democrat party is for sure I don't think there's any saving the Democrat party from this They are totally beholden to it It goes down It's just there's no severing the Democrat party from kind of the radical LGBT and transgender at all But the good news is that we can I think save the Democrat party forget about it We can save the country from it I think And that's not something that's going to be accomplished overnight and certainly not with one documentary but that's something that down the line long term I think we can It's a fight we can win because gender ideology is so absurd and most people recognize it on such an intuitive level that the real thing now is just to get people to the point where they're willing to question it because there's a lot of fear out there and I counted that too quite a bit when I'm talking to people on the street And so that's the hurdle we got to get over is the fear of asking these questions and opposing this

"Way. Why is the black community not saying, hang on, why are they so keen to abort our black children and they're using Democrat money and then the Planned Parenthood is funding Democrat candidates? Can't they put two and two together and say they're coming after Ross pasta John? Well, yeah, they have sold us a bill of goods. Here's the thing. When you slap this sexy word called Jessica on a thing, it seems sanitized or moral or right, you know? We're going to support reproductive justice, you know, we're going to support transgenderism justice or justice for those individuals who are hated by society. And so when they do that, people begin to say, you know what? Well, maybe, you know, everyone deserves justice or maybe when they call it a choice or a woman's right to choose people like that thought process, you know, because a woman wants to make her own decision about what she should do with her body and what a life, but they never finish that statement, a woman's right to choose to do what? Yeah. To kill a life within her womb. Now that baby should have rights and it does, but in this nation we have refrained from allowing the baby in the womb to have his or her inalienable rights.

"Hello and welcome to Ono Ross and Kerry, the show where we don't just report on French science, virtuality and claims of the paranormal, but take part ourselves. Yep, when they make the claims we show up so you don't have to. I'm. Did you forget that? Yes. What just happened? I don't know. Maybe I was about to say Ross. I don't know. I just didn't know where it was going. Understandable. Yeah. Well, I'm Ross blotcher. This is going to be an episode about doctor Nick Delgado. I everybody. In update. And Ross. Hey, Carrie. This is max fun drive. Oh my goodness, you may be out for a lazy Sunday drive. Or a lazy Tuesday drive. Or maybe you're driving to the supermarket. But you know what my favorite drive is, Carrie. Max, fun, drive. That's right. You're paying attention to what you just said moments ago. Yeah, so this is the best time of the year. You've been waiting for this. You keep thinking, oh, I really want to support Ross and Kerry, but when do I do it? Yes. When's the right time now is the time? That's right, Matt. I know you're sitting in your car and I know you're thinking, I feel so guilty. Every time they talk about this, I'm like, I should join, but I'm driving my Toyota Prius. I keep forgetting to go home and do it. But Matt, this is your time. Some of you are sitting there thinking, well, my name's not mad. I'm Liz, or Elizabeth. Exactly. Well, guess what? Guess what? You're called out to. Okay? This is also your time to. Get off your ass. James, James. Alex? David, Dave. Steve..

"I think the overall impression of this meeting was, oh yeah, there's a lot of really competent people in their respective domains. They've got a lot of knowledge and they want us to get active, so let's give them money. Let's get involved. So let's help them with their agenda here. And I think it could be very hard as a layperson to separate the good information from the bad. Totally. I'm reminded of the Carl Sagan quote, we've arranged a society based on science and technology in which nobody understands anything about science technology. And this combustible mixture of ignorance and power sooner or later is going to blow up in our faces. I remember someone sending me that quote on Twitter just before Trump was elected and saying, I fear we're right here. There was a certain irony too. This group struggling with zoom. And yes, it was early days of us all being on Zoom. But struggling with this technology too at the same time rail against this technology that they clearly don't fully understand. And sowing a lot of fear, uncertainty and doubt about it. Yeah. Which seems like it's partly an artifact of specialization. Oh, right, where our overall domain of knowledge is so large that you can't possibly hold all of it. You have to trust other people. Right. So you have your area, things that you know well. And yeah, you have to trust experts in other areas. Yeah. And be able to recognize that expertise. Which is really tough when if an expert gets something wrong, suddenly you have to go, okay, wait, I have to really quickly learn this thing I've never known about and make sure I'm testing the right group. Oh my God, that's so complex. And then your quick thinking your gut gets involved and something's just sound intuitively right and some things don't. Yeah. Yeah, so we really just have to turn to the other experts in that thing and go like, I don't know, what do you think? And that's for me, this is what this really boils down to is like, I look at the other experts in this kind of thing and go like this okay? Oh yeah, all right. And that's a form of humility. You know, just being able to say, okay, it doesn't sound right to me, but I guess I have to take your word for it. Right, right. So that was the first call, which Ross mist. Yeah, which I miss so I only got to hear it after the fact. Not nearly as fun as watching them. I struggle over Zoom. And texting with Matthew about how much he hates the entire experience. But next time we'll be able to tell you about meeting some of these people in person. Yeah. Will they wear masks? Your guess is as good as ours. No, it's not. We were there. Will we be indoors? Will you be outdoors? Will there be more potent sources of radiation than the ones they're talking about? Floating all around us? Will every single person clearly have a cell phone that they're using? We'll see. Will Ross still get side eye for using his cell phone? We'll see. Only time will tell. Turn and look at her inside her up. We'll see. All right. You can use your rhetorical questions too. With very obvious answers. All right, we'll look forward to seeing you again in our 5G conspiracy series part two. And until then, 5G's bad bye. Bye. By the way, this episode was edited by Ross blotcher..

"Hello, welcome to ona Rosen Carrie the show where we don't just report on fringe science. Spirituality claims that the paranormal, but take part ourselves. Yep, when they make the claims, we show up so you don't have to. I'm Ross blotcher. And I'm Carrie pop. You don't have to, but you can if you want. Show up? Yeah. Yeah. We just have to remind people that every now and then. Absolutely. And in this case, yeah, you might want to. Come on. Yeah. We're going to tell you about chroma sonic. An immersive light and sound experience. That's what it is. Yes. And how did you find out about it? I went to Google something else that had been advertised to me in an Instagram ad. Something else that had appealed to my on rack sensibilities. Went to Google that couldn't find that again, found this and was like, oh, this is also good. Okay, so chroma sonic, you hear the name and you're probably already thinking of colors. And sound. And sound. And you're not thinking of mesonic, which is at the end, like, oh, temples, and secret rituals. No, that's unrelated just happenstance. This is about chromosome don't think about the masons. Yeah, don't picture people wearing aprons and making hand symbols. Don't picture it. Don't picture secret ceremonies behind big oak doors. Don't picture that at all. Don't picture. Don't those images in your head. Those are unrelated to this investigation. It's about color and sound. Yeah, so when I got to the website for this thing, I was like, what the heck is this? We'll get into it, but just so you have the right mental image because you didn't form all those incorrect ones. This is going to be one of those immersive interactive experiences where you're having your senses stimulated by both image and sound. Normally that wouldn't necessarily be something that our podcast would be interested in. But it all comes down to, I think, the presentation. How are you selling this experience? They are selling it as a way to get into an expanded state of consciousness. Yeah, awareness and connection expanded states. Yeah, that's a big deal. I had just watched the movie altered states oversee that. Oh, yeah. Because funny. They kept coming up in conversations. Oh, weird. For people like, oh yeah, well it's kind of like altered states on the wall, I guess I need to see it. What'd you think of it? Was it Jeff Bridges? Well, Ken Russell directed it. Who is the lead? It's the guy who's in kiss of the spider woman. John Voight? No, John. Lennon? John. Welcome itch. John..

"Oh, okay. And she said, thank you for your trust. That's well played on her part. Yeah, definitely. Good response. Okay, so here's what Ross thinks of me. Okay. It's intense. I wish you had told me, Ross. It's intense, like she put it in all caps, or she said it's intense. No, I'm telling you. This is my warming. My disclaimer, it's intense. How do I see you? Okay. Ross wants to clear things up with me. Ross wants to bring things back to normal. He feels in the dark on our relationship. What is it? Oh my goodness so much uncertainty. So much doubt. Ross wants me to say things more clearly to him. He's confused about our relationship. I don't say what I think and feel enough. This is all news to me, but very interesting. Ross trusts me, but is confused by me. Ross seems a little bit tired. Okay. Ross has mixed feelings about how he wants me to feel part of him wants me to feel okay. Part of him wants me to feel a lot okay. All right, wow. Part of Ross doesn't want to know about me anymore. Wow. Not even doesn't want to know me? Doesn't want to know about me. I'm just trying to picture what she was picturing. Like, what person would even match this description? I have a theory, but. Okay. Okay. She said the communication aspect will unblock things between us. Okay. Ross thinks I communicate clearly with other people and not with him. I suspect. This podcast that we do. Yeah, I suspect that she picturing. That when I wouldn't tell her what a relationship was, she was like, you're cagey. I see. Oh, and I'm going to extrapolate this. You've given me one hook. Yeah. And I'm going to extrapolate from that. Your KG with everybody. You're just a KGB. Exactly. Maybe for my show. It's funny. Then she was probably like, and it's probably a love interest like who else would someone submission yeah. She doesn't want to say it for some reason. It's not her dog. Yeah. The Carrie would do that to you. That's true. Psychic, you got lucky. Just both her animals happen to be girls. That's right. So. That's fun. Okay, it casts the previous predictions in a little bit of doubt. Yeah, well, we'll see how this pans out in the yellow. Okay. Yeah, you never know. Yeah, and maybe my attitude toward you will completely change. Yeah, maybe you will no longer want to know about me. Maybe I will not want you to be okay. Was that it? Something like that. Yeah. Yeah, you're right. That was intense. Yeah, I know. Wow. Okay, next. Okay. I got a reading from astrology arc, also on Etsy. Wow, look at you. I thought you were reading. I know. This is the last one just for me. But this was called 2022 horoscope annual report. Oh yeah, you said this was very thorough. It was so thorough. To the point that I was like, I'm not going to read this hole on the air. This is way too many things. So I just promised to keep a spreadsheet and look at every single one and track it over the year and let you know the highs and lows. Okay. But for now, I'll just give you some. This is because my God. Was there like a structure to it, looking at certain months or? Yeah, it was based on where the different solar objects are going to be, so it'll be like, here's your Saturn return. Here's your Venus de Milo. Here's true mercury. Whatever. And then it would give me a very specific date range. It would say something like 8 July to 12 August. And then in parentheses it would give a really specific date that would always be an example of a day that's between that range and be like, you don't need to do that for me. So maybe they just get an extra strong hit if that matches. Yeah, maybe. But if that's the range, and then something that matches it happens on July 7th, we all know that. The reader would take credit. We give them credit. Yeah. All of these things have soft porous edges. Anyway, that's a good point. So I'm just going to tell you a few things that stick out. But as I said, we'll go over this a little more finely in 12 months. Right now someone is demanding my concentrated attention that could be a project or it could be a person. So somebody could be a project. That's right. All right. Either way, I'm being challenged to know myself, assess the situation and concentrate on the task at hand. All right. I want to know if there's a single person in this universe who's like, my attention is not on a project, it's not on a person. Of those things interest me. Yeah, maybe like high school stoner or something. Okay, yeah. But they don't go seeking out readings. Yeah. From Etsy psychics. Another prediction for the whole year, these first few were not tethered to any particular date. You are likely to encounter obstacles along the way. However, you have the tenacity to overcome them. Or statement if ever I heard one. No, it's weird that was a year without any obstacles. Nothing bad happened. I didn't even run out of toothpaste. Likewise, you are learning the difference between trying to force someone to agree with you and the need to stand up for yourself. Okay. Okay. Decent specific. Yeah. Someone else will be forcing their opinions on me or an unexpected crisis may arise stretching my communication skills to the limit. Wow, okay. Yeah. Watch out for that. Written negotiations and contracts may not run smoothly this year. Both of these last one sound actually falsifiable. Interesting predictions. At times I may feel stressed sometimes this year, irritable or overworked, and I should relax as much as possible and remember that the time will pass. Good advice. Yeah. Now getting into a few that are pegged to specific time, periods. From the 8th of September 2021 to the 16th of February 2022, so we're kind of smack in the middle there right now..

"Hello, welcome to Ross and Carrie the show where we don't just report on French science, spirituality, claims of the paranormal, we take by ourselves. Yep, when they make the claims we show up, so you don't have to. I'm real sponsor. I'm Carrie poppy, and my cat is. As soon as we started talking, golly leaped up onto the chessboard. Now she's looking at your water. Maybe she can stick her head in there. She's really likes to get involved. She's right underneath the microphone. Yeah, she loves it when humans talk. Okay, that's the problem. Yeah. Golly, he's always trying to get up in our business. When I'm working at home alone, I'll be totally quiet for a couple hours and then have to take a phone call or something and as soon as I start talking, she trots in. Oh, you're talking. Interesting. Okay. I'm gonna talking to me. Look around and sniff everything. Get up in your equipment. All right. Well, we've got golly here too. But we want to wish you all a happy 2022. Are you gonna walk across my cute yep? Yes, you are. Okay. Oh and hit me in the hit me in the face of your tail while you're at it. Oh no, now you're adding a new label in Gmail that is all semicolons. No. Do not create that new label. Oh, stop it. Oh, can you go somewhere else? Do you have to be here? Cats, am I right? You're right. So every year at the beginning of the year, we make predictions about what this year will hold because you and I are professional psychics. If you're just joining this show for the first time, that is our profession. That's what we've always done. Ignore the intro to the show. That's what this is. A pair of psychics. No, but we do go and talk to psychics and see what they predict for the year. And then unlike everyone else in the freaking universe, we actually follow up and see if it happens. Right. That's what we can bring to this. And I like that that's become a yearly tradition for us to go. Visit psychics. This gave me an opportunity to visit a storefront psychic that I've been curious about for a long time. Whereas I interacted only with people on the Internet. That's very safe. It was, because future listener, you probably don't even remember COVID. It's probably like such a distant memory you're like, what even is that? I've never heard of that. You don't remember the time you were locked in your house for two years. Yeah, you were born in the future. But right now we're in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently the omicron variant. Yeah, that's the one jacking up all of the numbers of cases and hospitalizations. I'm boosted, you boosted. And boosted. Hey, what up? It is a little safer from ow meh cry. What's happening right now? Okay, so do you remember and Friends how there was a character named Janice and she go ow. My God. I do. So that's how I'm saying a crown now? "Related form of quote unquote therapy that I've been really interested for a long time. Kerry and I have talked about this long document that we have of our potential investigations. Don't see what it is. We'll freak me out. I can see Kerry nervous. He's gonna say it isn't he? All right, I won't say. It's been high on the list under the part where it says Ross wish list because I think it'd be really fun, but it's also kind of raring kind of expensive. And so it's always been in the back of my mind with all of my rage. And my age. And then just a few days ago, I saw my coworker Amelia who is one of the nicest people you can imagine. I'm Amelia. She had posted this video online of her smashing shit in a rage room. Fun. And I went, wow, and it looked like she had been having a good time and enjoyed it, and she was with three other friends, at least one of them another coworker of mine. I was like, oh, that's so cool. Okay, well, this is close enough. Do they make claims about helping you deal with your rage? Because we should do this for the broadcast. Yeah, so before we get to this exact rage room place, I also want to mention there's a different version of rage rooms that this could be confused with. And these were a little more popular, I believe in like the 60s through 80s. They may have gone by additional names, but sometimes they're called rage rooms. And this was where you would go with your partner because you're specifically mad at your partner. Maybe it would be a friend or a colleague or whatever, but you'd take the person you are mad at. Okay. And hit them with like a foam or whatever. Or even therapists would use this as a motive therapy. Here you go, here's a padded bat whale on each other for a bit. You won't really hurt each other. You'll get it out. Actually, this is reminding me in fourth grade at the oldest. I remember getting in trouble and going to the principal's office and crying so much and he pulled out a pad and it was a nerf paddle. And he hit me with the nerf paddle. Oh my gosh, did that hurt? Nope, but I was emotional. I was born. Oh, yeah. Yeah, it was still very much messing with me. Much nicer than the panel we had at home. Oh, wow, okay, I'm learning a lot today. Okay, I didn't know that. I guess this is related to the discussion. So I'll say, yeah, home we had this thing that was called the board of education, very funny. Oh my God. Yeah, and it was shaped and lacquered painted with a veneer finish and everything. And that's what I would get walloped with. Oh my God. If I got in trouble. Yeah. How often did this happen? Hard for me to gauge, but if I had to estimate, I'd say maybe four times a year. Growing up. Oh my God. Until I was in my teenage years and my mom tried to pull it out and use it on me after my dad had left the house and I told her because I had divorced me. Yeah. Okay. And I told her I'm too old for this. Oh wow. You can ground me, you can take away things, but oh wow. Don't get anywhere near me with that or I'll take it from you and I'll hate you with it. Wow. Then it went away, but yeah. Really shit. What was the board of education? So oh my God. Not added. Sorry about that. It's interesting though how much things change just from generation to generation like now, that's unheard of. For sure. Someone our age if they had kids, I mean, I don't know what the official legal response would be or anything. But I wouldn't be surprised to hear that in certain places like CPS we get called on you. Right, right? Yeah, that's crazy. You know, I'll be honest when I was a young Christian dad. I thought I was being very progressive by just using my hand. Oh, wow. Okay, okay. Well, glad you stopped. Congrats on that. Yeah, you know? Made a lot of changes early in my parenting years as I fell out of religion and some ingrained behaviors. Holy crap. Well, about rage. Hey, Rach, yeah. Sorry, we were talking about hitting people and stuff. Hey, no, no, it's totally appropriate. I just feel strange. Now you know why I have so much bottled rage. Yeah, no, it makes sense. I'm not an actual fucked up. No, no, I know. So, okay, rage rooms as they stand day seem to be this very similar but slightly cheekier operation. Where it's halfway between, get out your rage and isn't it kind of fun to hit stuff? Kerry sang with a, you know, implied wink and a nod. Yeah. This particular one that we heard about is in Los Angeles. And it's the premier rage room. And it's called rage ground. Yes. And when you mentioned this to me, we both sat down and we were like, do they make claims about this? And it took us a sect to find them. And you wanted to make sure it wasn't just like, oh, it's fun to hit stuff. Right, because then how boring they would just be making ordinary claims. Why would we go there? But I do think this is an important point to make that much like the lie detector toy, where yes, it made claims about detecting lies, but it made more claims about being a toy. I think there's a similar comparison we made here where yes, they do talk about getting out your rage. If you go to their website, you're more likely to run into something that's about just like, how fun it is to wail on a glass bottle. And use both of those framings within the same paragraph, for example, I have on a card that they gave us. It was right by the door as you leave. It says, what is rage ground? Rage ground is the premiere rage room. Never heard of a rage room? Well, you're in for a surprise. A rage room is a special place where everyday folks can take out their anger. We provide a safe and fun. Oh, it's fun. I thought we were getting our anger. Okay. We provide a safe and fun environment where people can break everyday items with a host of.

"At all. Oh, welcome to odo Ross and Carrie. The show where we don't just report on fringe science spirituality and claims of the paranormal, but take part ourselves. I'm Carrie poppy. Oh, you know what, though? What? The claims we show up so you don't have to. I'm Carrie poppy. I'm rasp badger. And in this episode, we tell you about our foray into the world of laughter. Yoga. I know what you're thinking. Okay. This is fake. What is laughter yoga ra? Does it involve yoga? Should you bring your yoga mat? Well, you know, we learned from the ethereal society that's not always. Which I kind of knew, but still. Now that yoga means something in the popular culture you'd think they'd be like, maybe we should change this world. Yeah, before we appropriate. Yoga mats. Pants. But this is really about laughter. That's where the emphasis lies. Yeah, so the yoga just means like exercise for health. Holistic exercise for health. But in this case, laughter yoga is sitting around making yourself laugh. With other people. With other people. Which is fine. Usually. Yeah. So how did we hear about this? This has been on our notorious list for a long time. Yeah, no, I don't even remember where we started thinking about it, but I want to read about it and watching a video and just cracking up. Okay. Send itself fun. Until we got there, I thought it was the popular notion of yoga. Yeah, we were leaving from Carrie's apartment, and she said, you think we should bring the yoga mats? I was like, they're not. You're like, no. If we need them, we'll have them, and I was like, what? Okay. So I must have not known too much about it because I just learned about it in these last couple of days. But we wanted to do it before Thanksgiving because Thanksgiving involves things and merv air go. I see the connection. Yeah. Laughter yoga. And there seemed to be groups all over the country and I would assume the world that meet regularly. And it seems like they'll incorporate it as a daily routine or maybe multiple times per week routine. Yeah, so at least one person said that you're supposed to laugh 15 to 20 minutes a day to get the health benefits. Okay. So oftentimes they'll meet up like on a beach and just get together and laugh there and then go off and do other things or they'll call up a phone line. So Ross, there's a phone line that you can call many times a day. Oh yeah. For free. In the morning. Once it like two a.m. for us. Yeah. So you can call and laugh with other people. For a full 20 minutes. Laughter yoga America. Yeah, oh, is that what it's called? Yeah. Okay. With different people leading the various laughter Sessions. And yeah, 20 minutes, which you think, oh, okay, left for 20 minutes. But it's not like they tell a funny joke. Right. Then you laugh, along with them? No. It's just you laugh. You start laughing for no reason. So we actually did call this line, but before we did that. We found an actual conference. It was put on by laughter yoga, America. Yeah, the same group. We got ourselves ready. We took the metro down to the Los Angeles convention center. And I'd been there a number of times before for E three and siggraph, these major tech conferences. And so those are some words. I'm just used to seeing this place bustling with people. And so we kept up and it's like, we don't even know if we can go in. Oh, it looks all shut down. Mobile lights are off. It's one of those situations where you're like, do I walk away or do I try to flag someone down? Yeah, right, do I come and just like ceremonially pull on the back? The empty thudding sound. And so we did, we wandered up and we're like, oh, I guess it was canceled. We're in the wrong spot. And we're just kind of like standing outside of the entrance and we wave at the security guard. And he comes over and you just open the door. It's not locked or anything. It's like hello. He's like, hey, what's going on? Oh, we're here for the laughter conference, and he was very helpful here. Yeah, he had a little sheet. So he's like, oh yeah, that's up on, you know? Yeah, walk into this abandoned building and get in the elevator take it up to the third floor. We took a picture of it. It's so weird to be in that center and have no one in it. It's like being in a train station that's empty. It's like kind of creepy. We wander off, but sure enough, we find, you know, there's noise coming from this one room at a long hallway of all these big conference rooms. There's just one that's inside that are like, yep, this is the right way. And these are all hand drawn signs, you know, like someone's gotten the sharpie markers or something. It's very clear where it is because we were in the right place. Is the right word for this room. It was a student with many. It was bedazzled. A lot of lays. As soon as you walk in, you see there's all these little cutouts and assembled phrases out of words and it's all straight out of a kindergarten classroom. I love these. Including, we love being childlike adults. Yep. Which I ran home and told my boyfriend about because I knew he would hate that. I needed from then on. He would harbor a hatred for all of that for yoga. And I was right. We are fabulous. That's another one. Oh yeah, and of course the classic son with sunglasses on. Oh, totally. Definitely that and butterflies. Stars and flowers and hot air and just like slapped on the wall the way a third grade teacher is like, well, I gotta make it, too. Yeah, yeah, you walk in this room and you're like, I'm gonna learn the alphabet today. And then in the corner of the room, there is the funny hat stand. Oh yeah, and I got all excited and Carrie's like, you probably have to pay for the funny hands. You're right. They're for sale. But they were pretty great funny hats and the funny hat lady let us try them on. She did. Well, that was cool. Yeah, and these are all bright and colorful and the audience matches. We've got all these kind of dayglo colors being worn. And I had a bright blue shirt, so I felt like I kind of fit in. There was this one fellow who had strapped on a hat with curious George. Some kind of monkey. I think it was actually curious George. It looks like you're seeing me. The yellow hat that had like kind of the flaps down the side that you tie under your chin. Yeah, we're using hat loosely. We're like a scarf tight around his head with kiri storage precariously. Yeah, a lot of just silly garb to invoke laughter. We can only assume. Yeah. Good job, guys. And so we walk.

"What are we doing? We're both fake starting. Okay, hello. And welcome to owner Ross and Gary. The show where we don't just report on for in science, spirituality and claims of the paranormal, but we take part ourselves. Yep, they make the claims we show up so you don't have to, I'm Carrie poppy. I'm Ross blacher, and this is the max fun block party. We're all on a street together. Walking up, I'm grilling some vegetables. Court on the car. Come and buy it for $1. That's a pretty good deal. If the code is good, it is, I'm inventing this world, so it might as well be good. So. I just have like a very limited fantasy world. Anyway, the point is, it's the max fun. Which means people are coming to the show for the very first time. Yeah, this is a great time to be exploring all the different shows on maximum fun. Some people are doing crossover episodes. Some people are doing brand new awesome episodes. Some people like us are bringing you one of our classics. And this is a great time to share the show with a friend. Yeah. So if you've been with the show for a minute, maybe you'll share this with Bethany or Timothy or sander or Anderson or Rachel or you thought I was going to jump in there and help out. She keeps saying that. All those people. This is one of our favorite episodes, both of us really love this investigation, had a great time. And why wouldn't we? Because it's laughter yoga. After yoga. So if it is your first time joining us, you don't know that we do investigations. We investigate fringe science, spirituality claims the paranormal, anything that kind of bucks against our traditional understanding of the world as it is. The scientific understanding of the world gives a certain ideas about how things work. And there's a lot of claims out there. People saying, guess what? It actually works a little differently. I can heal you with this magnet or if you follow me, I will show you how to live forever. Exactly. And sometimes those people turn out to be pioneers and sometimes they turn out to just have a goofy idea that they want to share with you. And we like to go into all of these with an open mind that maybe it'll be that pioneer. When we hear about it, we say, oh, cool. Tell us more. Yeah. We want to show up. We want to ask questions and find out what happened. So that's what we did with this investigation. That's what we try to do with all of our investigations. Some of them are really long multi part investigations, so a lot of people really love our Scientology series, our ayahuasca trip to Costa Rica. Also, we do interviews sometimes. Yeah. We've had flat earthers on the show. We've had scientists on the show. We've had many other people I'm not thinking of just those two classes of people flat earth. There's scientists and that's it. Yep, that's exclusively the people that we talk to. Now we talk to people from what you might call them mainstream scientific perspective, and then people who are a little outside of it. And we have a lot of fun, just trying to bridge that gap, talk to everybody the same way. And our show is primarily about these firsthand experiences and just kind of us going in and finding out what we encounter. But then also we do some research afterward and talk a bit about how the science pans out if any studies are mentioned or are relevant to what we're talking about. Also, we look for the fun. And now easy to do when it's laughter yoga. But usually, you know, there's some humor in the situation and hopefully never at the expense of well meaning people. So we are about to send you backwards through time to the distant land of 2014. And actually, 2014 was only three years after we started the show. So it is closer to the birth of our show than it is to today. But I should throw in for our listeners who have heard this episode before. Know that we will be back our present selves. Our 2021 selves. For some brand new advertisements for our wonderful supporting advertisers, but also at the end we're gonna do the same thing we did last time and announce an upcoming event that you can all participate in. It's gonna be fun. So make sure to catch that. Don't think like, oh, well, I've heard this before, at least, check out this new opportunity for us to get together. And do a little bit of laughter. And maybe ask yourself, where was I in 2014? Where was I? It's not as easy as you might think. So laugh for no reason at all. Oh, welcome to odo Ross and Carrie. The show where we don't just report on fringe science spirituality and claims of the paranormal, but take.

"How i have to admit. I don't know any of the other song would kill you to play a little little like the city full for the city seeing me. A bar can't don't know it okay. Third time lucky. Lucky iron and our off time. I'm not ready for what third league on. Yeah love that. Fog hat. Food fan interesting. Thought there was more. Maybe there is in cat. Play allowed began. Used tubes will shut the channel down and we can't but we gotta pay fog at. Yeah but like if we know the song and sing it means recording quality. So that's why i was like looking through. Is there another one. Eight days on the road crew. Lovat one and the ninth day. Well it'd be home with my family for sunday. Mass don't know the rest of that song. Don't even know that song to be honest with you. Hammer the like button. If you're watching on youtube sometimes shapes. When i get home at nights. We put the children down on nestled in their beds. You and i will throw on something on netflix. Or whatever streaming the ninety streaming apps that you have a subscribe to any welcome. Yeah yeah so. I was like. Do you have any interest in this bob. Ross and i said yes. I just read an article on jobs yesterday. Intense intense when he kills all those people at the end. It's nuts to kill anybody but it was a dark turn that we knew right away where it was like the whenever you start off with kind of a white trashy looking dude in the fall. Smoking a cigarette around leaves on the ground. You're gonna be you're like orator. Do you know what i mean. You're like oh we're stage. He's the one that you're wise. Say this gonna tell us what really happens. Story or stories story was was kind of dark. So old bob. Ross aka robert ross Robert n ross. I don't know what the n. word was in that you know people smile. What's the end and bob. And ross. bob. Ooh bob there. We used to doing multiple. bob's norman. Norman robert norman ross. Weird man never pictured him for a norman rockwell a guess to painters to amazing painters the to to most amazing painters of our time. The the name. Norman in their names coincidence. I think not any who's as it goes along turns out. Oh bob ross was found by this couple. Older gal older lady The off skis and net. A net co wall ski kowalski. It felt so. I put this on twitter. I said the kowalski's of the new baskin's for twenty twenty one where it's just like. Hey dude. let's free bob. Ross here and find out what happens bob. Ross had his own weird shit going on why he fucking old broad. I don't really know i mean. come on. I think he she was in a major position of power and she was in love with him. So what i'm just saying. I don't know how you could get it. Welcome to our world out dudes with the with the ugly old rich lady. Sorry i she fucking owned his name. Sorry it happened. Here's the difference though between men and women okay. I don't wanna fuck asleep. I'm not feminine shit on this. i'm the opposite. i'm just saying welcome to the world. Where if an older mon- attractive lady with money that is owning your likeness and name wants to have sex with you. What do you do you intern saying. Here's the difference. Okay a man has to get a boner right you physically have to get an erection to have sas heart you yes oh yeah Boy yea shaves especially that age because it's not like they were pumping them full roman against roman dot com slash ringer. Both they weren't doing that. Fifty dollars off your first order. They were not pumping him full of roman or anything else so yet it he was an older man who had to get a boner with his old lady and then to completion. Because you're going to know if he didn't fucking come so old bob. Ross said to get that old paintbrush up in the bedroom. And that's a tough one with that. That old broad. I don't know how he did it to completion and less of his and obviously we don't shame here never have never will right. Unless king for him was older women he ends up boning the woman who discovered him and then bob himself was married. This woman was buried. Yes to another man another kowalski short. They live together. I guess but here's the cia. The the kowalski's top phone conversations. Everything else if he's tapping every phone conversation you don't think that he knows bob. Ross tapping his fucking wife. I think he was fine with it where he was just like. We gotta get this money so if you if you want to do this and you know we got a coercive in signing some shiites go out and bone bob ross and then we can say on the beep and only get his signature on shit and then kind of move on with their lives and get rich and so. I think the husband was fine with it and bob. Ross got the well not bob. Ross himself the kids. The kids got the short end of the stick in this whole thing now Either because bob ross was grooming him to take over the thing and he said fuck you dad and so what happens in that. Is that the gotta. You can't just wait around for the inheritance what we're talking about here. Is this all right. So if your dad dies that's famous mom or dad and then someone else owns all of their life rights. They're making on average like sixteen million a year off a bob. Ross shit little trinkets mints Pillows paints paint and brushes. All of it at can't all of the classes everything anything with bob. Ross his name likeness or image on its is owned by. Bri which is Bob ross inc and it is a fucking massive corporation that is worldwide. I did not know that. They went out to all these countries and so the show and products and vans and all. That other shit's just recently got on netflix. As we know they don't pay like a bunch but all of that goes to mean. Yeah so for wall skis. The the long and the short of it is this It was the kid he had one kid and then his brother and other brothers signed off all the the rights because he was the kowalski's were suing and everything else. The uncle owned fifty one percent. The kid had forty nine therefore the uncle was allowed to sell everything. Keep got nothing off of his dad. So now he's seeing his dad everywhere and lose get nothing from it now. well yeah. Does he deserve fifty percent. Maybe i don't know because one could look at the story and say all right they've utilized bob. Ross the back catalogue everything else. Got him out everywhere and made him so popular. That people don't even know he was dead.

Whatever was your masseuse shirtless. Earn on my dentist. He comes in shirtless. Does my teeth after the hygienist whose normal in just like a normal human being finishes isn't with a massage they stick your face into a whole so you don't have to worry about well that's when you face down though jay. Yeah actually you know they roll you over. What stop i'm not going to. I'm not going to so when. I'm getting a pedicure even that's sitting in a chair close my entire time. You're not yes i do. That's weird did not. I still do multiple few five times now. Probably have gotten if you get a pedicure. And if i'm giving you a pedicure and your eyes are aged when i get a haircut all time that's maybe that's your haircutters bitch to you get asked like the to me. It's everybody complains about her. I've never said a word everybody else. Ross with the focus is chicks. Cut my here. But she's a bitch. And i'm like yeah don't care or did you go to get a friend or do you. Are you going to get a good haircut you paying for companies. She's not a fucking escort. say hairstylist. Does she do your hair. Well yes or no. It's the it's all each other. did you die. Get what you pay for baby. I was wrong if you want somebody. That's really good at their job and nice. that should. that's fucking hard to find six of us. That's not easy. i'm not one of them. Jared has so. I got to throw the in there so i close my eyes the whole time and i'm not that's not a bit. That's not a joke. I'm dead serious. And i know how weird that isn't i don't care anymore. It's the same reason. I'm wearing a giant masters polo with zane road pants and jordan's to there. I don't care anymore and there's nothing anybody can do to stop me. It's amazing free. Dentist was good though. Came out feeling like that's the great the best thing about leaving the dentist as a whole. That's part is leaving. You feel the most fresh mouth. You're gonna feel that year probably if you're a one time of year person. I got booked six months from now. We'll see this is not going to happen. I feel they're easy to cancel that appointment. Very easy is just. They're back in july. Did you have any other things reasons or things about the dentist. The good things any anything. So i thought When you i mean that anxiety that you carry about having to go to the dentist or having gum disease or or mouth cancer or just cavities. You've been carrying for months. And as a result avoiding the dentist entirely now being gone anxiety. Being gone is another great thing about going to the dentist. You know or. I guess like say something was actually wrong. You could actually face it. I'm sorry if that's the case and then also best thing about going inist. Probably all is listening to sting sting has a contract with the american dental association. "Hello and welcome to Ono Rawson carry the show where we don't just report on for in science, spirituality and claims of the paranormal, but take pride ourselves Yup when they make the claims. We show up, so you don't have to I'm Ross. Blocher Book People Today. We don't have carry with us can't steal it from last week and then put her part. In I guess so. Yeah, we could just keep borrowing that audio. The other person you hearing. Hearing right now. Is None other than Roger Nygaard? If people are panicking right now, where's Gary Yeah Panic I'm sorry, but you know she's done a few episodes without me I've done some so before, too. So vacations are due for everybody. There's precedent for this. Actually. This is relevant to our conversation. Today. Carry is celebrating her anniversary with drew her intended, and we're GONNA. Be Talking about a related topics. We say we royally. We are here with. With Roger Nygaard today who you may remember if you've listened to the entire show, you were the guest for our eighth episode. Eighth Episode Ever Wow if anybody's listening and his listen to every show since then you deserve a medal. Yeah, because a lot of shows, people have, and they deserve medals. Yeah, or at least a merit badge, a ribbon. Yeah, that was back in two thousand eleven when we started and we were talking to you then about. About the nature of existence, a documentary that you had created at that time you were exploring the depths of why we're here. All these deep questions was eighty, four, eighty three. There were a lot of questions. Yeah, I had a somewhere above eighty ninety questions that I asked everybody all my interview subjects, and squeezed it all into one documentary called the nature of existence. My core question, though above all those sub questions was. Why do we exist? What is our purpose here? Why are we supposed to do big topic in I? Set out to solve it and you did age-old existentialist question philosophers have been wrestling with it for centuries and I went out and solved. You didn't give away the answer on that episode, so you still have to watch that documentary. If you want to know the answer, but it's very socratic in that you, the the what I try to do is lead the viewer in a direction, so you can make your own decision or come to a realization on your own without me. Preaching to you, here's the answer well. That's smart. Because I think you were right to resist. Giving it on a silver platter because it doesn't work that way. However, when I made my next documentary, we may talk about today. The truth about marriage at the end I just stood up and said okay. Here's the answer. In case you missed it. Stop everything here. It is, and you did okay, so it's an eighty two minute documentary, the truth about marriage and you do you solve it? You talk to lots of experts and a lot of couples. Trying to think of couples as the correct collective term, yeah couples, but there's some complicated dynamic, because not everybody's relationship is the same. That's not a pejorative yet, but at the end of the documentary. Yes, you do solve it exactly what the truth is about marriage. I didn't know the answer when I sent out and I I become obsessed with what I'm doing wrong way. I'm such a failure. Hold on, you're leading me into interesting conversation and I haven't finished. Finished introducing you yet? We should also say by the way on that episode when we talk you us. I realized that was the first time that carried the name swap. "You'll have options to like they'll be more than one dude with. The one on one guys doing a comedy bit. Content. Like, some of them are just like, I don't know people need instructions, but some of them are doing content, and it's funny. Fuck like, the I had to do the same thing when I got a ring doorbell because I'm I'm so mechanically fucking challenged. It's not even funny, and you know, there's like forty thousand options for different ring doorbell videos. You can watch on YouTube, and like which one of these people looks the most like they would know what they're talking about to me range. It's a lineup on the century picking from and then watch a couple of videos and go from there, and it's just it's amazing anything you need on the internet. But specifically, I mean YouTube and those instructional videos my mind, it makes you wonder what is the next major thing that ten years from now, we could've imagined life without it. What's it gonna be? I know what do you think it is? Because I mean, clearly everybody's question. They were fine. You know, like they all made it without the internet. They all made. I mean life might have been change our wheel. Before their figured it out. You know, ten years ago, you wouldn't have been able to watch video for it. But you could have found the instruction manual of how to set up your Sonos system online. If you lost it, you could found a PDF of it. That would have been good, maybe. But before that, let's step from like the step up from finding the online stuff to some bozo showing me exactly how to do. It is. I can rewind and go back and forth. It's amazing. It's an absolute game changer AJ. Well, what I think about just go off the whole technology bit like as a college student. I think about what it was like before we even had computers and you had a right? Like a thousand word essay, there's like no computer you have to do research written. Yeah. You have to handwrite it all go to the library million go through books. You had you wrote your notes, then you hand wrote the fucking essay. Yeah. Then your hand fell off and you had to go buy new hand sounds like a nightmare. It's crazy. We. We we complain about so much and yet we have to do so little compared to. Generations past. I it's it's, you know, I'm part of the problem too. It's just funny as fuck to me and thank God for these instructional video makers because life is hard enough for if I figure these things out on my own they wouldn't get done. So I need you guys to key angles to keep doing thing. Keep whatever that is. The light bulb goes off in your head. That says, you know, what fucking I need to make a YouTube instructional video this keep doing it. All right next segment. All right. So now, we have with us back for the second time the other Ross Ross Tucker, my man, how are you? Ross. I am doing fantastic. And I will never quite get used to that. You know, calling somebody else Ross and saying, hey, what's up Ross? But at least you're a cool Ross based on your Twitter in our previous conversations, both on your podcast, and when you came on the Ross Tucker football podcast, unlike the dude from friends that we talked about last time that we that's kind of our bond bond of Ross's everywhere. I was just oh, you know, what I took my daughters to a pizza place, and like friends was up on the screen, and they were looking at it. So I had to explain to them. Right. Why why we don't like that guy? Either. Right. Yeah. You can't have your kids growing up thinking. That's okay. To be that Ross. No. I mean, it just really really disappointing. So that's okay. You and I'll just day by day by day overcome that. And it's like we're like Tom Brady Ross even though even though we've already accomplished a lot. We still have a chip on our shoulder. No matter what. And that's that's one of our chips. Exactly. So for those who didn't hear the first time Ross was on our show. He's a former American NFL offense lineman. He's sports broadcaster. Now, he played it. In at Ivy league it prints Princeton. He was a lineman seven seasons in the NFL..
