"Rosedale. Center. Son. Kim has a lot of biscuits. A lot of biscuits for $10,000. That's right. Wow. Biscuits in Rosedale. Yeah. Rebecca Jones. Congratulations. And congratulations to Elizabeth. Who joins us now for the dirt alert. Hello, Elizabeth. Good morning. You guys speak news? What an exciting prize. Yeah. Make a 2020 2021 year that never ends. Feel a little bit better. Yeah, right. Very good. Okay, let's talk about High school photos that you might post and then the people who you went to high school with who might not appreciate it. Oh, this gets a little tricky and you do need to maybe ask for permission. I like to go with, like, ask for forgiveness later versus asking for permission ahead of time. But that's probably not the best route to go s Oh, Rachel Bilson, who? You know, I'm still watching Hart of Dixie guys I've been like season for I just watched episode and a half over the weekend. Oh, it's good, huh? It is cute at this point. I'm kind of just like, just pick somebody already and be with them. You know, that's kind of Elizabeth. Yeah. What is it again? Heart of Dixie. Okay? Yeah. Heart of Dixie, which was Rachel Bilson is the lead character and she's on it. It was like a five season deal. I think. Okay, 20. I think it ended in about 2015. Okay, anyway. Rachel Bilson claims in a new interview that Rommie Malik asked her to remove an old high school photo of them from her instagram. While you are in the running to win an Oscar for Bohemian Rhapsody. So here's what she said to Dax Shepard on his armchair expert podcast, she said, I'd posted a throwback of us from our senior trip to New York Broadway. We were super nerdy, just the darkest picture of both of us. I throw it up because it's funny, and I think it's so important to be able to make fun of yourself. And he had like a gold chain on and Rachel Bilson said that in the post she's like Randy, Where'd you get the gold chain? Whatever. She's being funny, they were good friends. Then she got a DM from Grammy Malik asking her to remove it. Oh, come on, dude. Oh, but it wasn't like, Hey, how are you? It was straight to. I would really appreciate it. If you take that down. I'm a really private person. And then she said, she was like, Oh, shoot, and she got really hot and started sweating, and she was all nervous. I always think it's funny when people say they start sweating and uncomfortable situation, and then she went on and said he was a good friend. It was a funny picture, and she said, I don't take himself. I don't take myself that seriously. As you see is the message. She deletes it right away. I mean, it was such a cute picture. It's you can still find it places I can. I'm looking at it right now. But she sent him a nice note back rooting for for him to win the Oscar. He did and of winning the Oscar for Bohemian Rhapsody, but she never heard back. Does this make you not like him? Yeah. Makes me totally not like him. Shit up my mind. Yeah. Yeah. Come on, you ask balloon come on, she said, and Rachel Bilson handle this so well, she said. I was super bummed because he was always so nice. And we were good friends, and I'm a big fan of not taking yourself seriously, especially at that level of fame and talent. Look, he wants to be super respected. It's his thing, so I respected it. I took it down. I was just a little bummed at how it was handled. They went to high school together at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California and apparently, the start his stylist is what she heard didn't approve of the photo because he didn't look good in it. Well, it was in the nineties, he was wearing a white T shirt and a black corduroy jacket Word. You know what I You know what I said, Get over yourself. You know, stuff like that photos like that Make you relatable and people love that. I mean, awkward looking. Look at that. You know, you know what I always think of you in situations like this. Look at the cover Art for I think it was last season for last week tonight with John Oliver. It was literally it was literally his high school photo. That was the most awkward photo ever. I just posted. My best friend's birthday was A few days ago, and so I posted throwback photos of us like from early college. I mean, I don't know. I just kind of feel has people that do his instagram. Does. It will get the same time. You know, if you don't want to picture up, he asked her to take it down. And true, so she did. I mean, she did it so anyways, thing that brings up bad memories for you. I kind of guessed that you had some sort of like, maybe you were really insecure it that point or whatever, but it's just too bad that you can't get to a point where you can go. I mean, look it don I mean, Donna Donna's picture that Steve repeatedly post of her. With the big hair is cool. Yeah, I get it. Yeah. You know, Lex, you make a good point dot dot dot I just Perception wise. Oh, it makes him sound a little d bag. It makes him say, you know what I mean? By share this story. Well, she was bummed without but by how it was handled, I think it would have been like, Hey, how are you? It's so good to hear from me. Listen, I'm just kind of embarrassed. I'm kind of weird about this. This I just don't want all this. Stuff out there. It may be. It felt like abrupt. And then, of course, you know when you write something versus like picking up the phone and calling them Yeah, it can like the tone can be lost in the typewriter. That's why I'm asking if he has people to do that. Like if he grabbed and know that his people ask maybe, or just to be like, Hey, can you just handle that? Please ask her to take it down. But just not really giving direction how to say it because I mean someone I at his level, he might have people for that. I don't know, but that was nice, Alexis. That was nice of you to come up with. That's.
"Midnight Train to Georgia' songwriter Jim Weatherly dies
"I've been listening to your program for the last couple of days. I don't know if i miss this one. Johnny bolts best. Quarterbacks passed away on wednesday. jim weather You listen i. I i i. I saw that yesterday or last night. And i'm glad you brought it up because i never. I didn't know jim and was too young when he was starring it out at ole miss on pre national championship When he was the quarterback. If you do you remember that is correct But that was nineteen hundred nineteen sixty two right but would you want to know more about his music career than i do about his football career. He was one of the net epic songwriters of that era. He wrote One of the most famous songs in the seventies of midnight train to georgia for gladys knight. He wrote Neither one of us. And i think the best that's That's rolling stone. Had a big article on him and the latest things happen. Yeah they named Midnight train to georgia one of the five hundred best phones. It is it's in fact i. I heard i was thinking about jim this morning and i played that and it is just you know he was. He recorded his own music. Well he had he had a hit as well. I'm i'm very familiar with his music. And i'm so glad you mentioned that because this is part of what we do that sometimes we we. We really don't pay enough attention to older. Exactly art archie archie manning Said that jim weatherly was his hero. Growing goodness i know he would he would go to. The delta gem had a band in high school. okay and jim weatherly and he traveled of course through the little thousand mississippi and archie went to a concert or at Rosedale mississippi back in the well that had to be in the late fifties right and he said that he had that elvis. Look you know jet black hair. Handsome guy and he was mesmerized. Usually get archie on to talk about a. I'm i'm glad you said that because that's my fault. I knew i knew he had passed away. The Ultimate Guide to Downsizing in Toronto
"Good evening. Paul here real estate podcast. Show dot com. This is a very very special report. That i wanted to make sure was right out there for all of you to listen to because it has been by far the most requested information that i could provide over the last few weeks. So i've got a feeling there's a lot of you out there who need to know how to make the safest in smartest downsizing decisions in twenty twenty one. The people that i'm meeting over the last two weeks range. Everywhere from homes in the danforth area to the beach to forest hill to rosedale a lot of you in rosedale are listening to My show and i really wanna make sure you're paying attention so rosedale. People bridle path people. A lot of you are sitting on some incredible properties that you no longer need and you understand that with the most amount of three million dollar plus sales in the history of toronto last year. There's an audience for your types of properties that you bought for one or two million dollars so now You're looking to some of your looking to down size and not necessarily in quality. You just wanna have your mansion squeezed into a three bedroom Five-star condo which i happen to have for sale at this time. So i know a lot of you are being gravitated towards these type of places. And i am going to need so many more so those of you with luxury. Condos and luxury lofts Do not pass go. Do not do anything until you reach out to me at real estate. Podcast show dot com. Because i've got these downsizing buyers who are in this position where they are going to be coming out with a lot of cash because a lot of these people do not have mortgages and they're going to be in a position to buy property and if you've never had a if you've ever sold a property ever dealt with a cash buyer and i'm talking about a cash buyer in a very strong position It's a whole different ballgame so rather than let's say you're selling your one point two million dollar condo and you're crossing your fingers closing day and i and i say that way because you know that the person probably may qualify for a million and they've got to find two hundred thousand. It's far better. I've got a different technique. That i use so it's far better to have the person with the one point. Five to two million affordability looking at your one point. Two million dollar condo loft if your place looks good enough. It will appeal to the people on the upper scale of that qualification versus the people on the other side of the qualification is just part of how it works. It doesn't mean that there isn't properties for everybody in every price rich. But i really wanna make sure that you are selling smart Most importantly safely. And i've actually said this to many people than i kind of get this look from people when they say this is safety is greater than location right now. So safety in your move to me is more important than location because for me and if you disagree. that's fine. Were allowed to do that but for me. Health is always going to come before wealth without a healthy mind. Body spirit soul. You can't enjoy the wealth. Whatever it is that you have in anybody that's listening. I don't care whether you have one hundred dollars in the bank or a million dollars in the bank. If you're not living the best life you can and and giving back and helping other people out and not hurting other people not not talking anybody down. Not treating the gardner differently than you would your spouse like any of that kind of people. I instantly repel i. I don't get along with any of you. That are like that. But those of you who are treating others kindly taking care of others donating food banks helping out small businesses. You were on the same page. I already know so. Thank

"Property. I've known this family now for quite some time i've heard the stories. I know the people that are involved. There is not a better real estate story to share them this. This is one of the most desired communities in canada. There's no argument. That's if you ask anybody about rosedale. Of course those who lived will agree. Those who wanna live there also agree and vat might be you. This will be of those rare opportunities very rare opportunities for you to move into a neighborhood that has three four five. Plus million dollar homes for under two million. This is not at any by any means by any any way shape or means the the average property. This is so far above average. It's not funny so you will be moving in to the literally the top floor of rosedale and when you see the property you'll understand you are in the top of this property and you won't want to live anywhere else just like this family has done for almost fifty years so i want to invite you to visit rosedale dot real estate. Podcasts show dot com to stay tuned for all the latest updates. Everything that's coming along as we build up towards the big grand opening reveal which is planned for next week so remember. This is this. Podcast is the missing element in luxury homes. Luxury condos in the toronto gpa area. It's finally arrived. This has been law even though the show has been in production since two thousand eighteen. This is been twenty years in the making for me. I have been collecting these stories meeting with those of you. Who live in these properties in have had so much material ready to go that this next step is just a logical next step. Okay remember this. There are thousands and thousands fifty thousand plus realtors in the city of toronto. There are very few storytellers. You really wanna make the distinction. And i've said this many times. And i'm gonna go back on record saying it again. You should be hiring and speaking to the best storyteller long before you ever speak with any realtor is. It doesn't matter to me who you know what they do. And how many houses. They've sold a lot of it has to do with opportunity and of course if you know them and they know you and they get the listing and of course it. It happens that way. I want more out of the process for you. I want more out of the process for me. We both benefits when the storytelling elements which should start sometimes days sometimes weeks sometimes months and sometimes years before you ever decide to make a move so that the right person is representing your property and truly able to tell the stories the the history. I've got one example for you before. I let you go and get back home with your name. Not even two years ago two or three years ago. I showed a property in rosedale and i kid you not. This property was one of the most magnificent properties. I've ever seen turns out that this property belonged to a former prime minister and upon seeing it. I just expected to get so much more of a story to hear so much more about it. But it wasn't there wasn't anything going on. There was nothing of significance within the property. No art no history. Nothing like that. That told you those stories. That can't happen so it shouldn't be happening to you whether it's an architectural significance whether it's a A significant owner. Especially if it's a a prime minister a rockstar Someone who of courses might be a celebrity in different Elements a ceo. Any of those situations in this doesn't matter whether it's in rosedale whether it's in the danforth where it's the beach or leslie ville in scarborough. I don't change my process for anyone or anything. I always work at this level wanting to make sure that your stories are being told at the absolute highest level possible which is why this podcast stage was created which is why forty thousand. Plus people have downloaded my shows over Since i started in the listenership is now worldwide. So it is not limited to this area which by the way if you're listing and you're marketings being limited to any one area a locally only you will not be happy with the end result. That is really leaving a lot of people out of this conversation and storytelling element which by the way storytelling was around a lot longer a a lot a lot lower a lot earlier than i 's storytelling in various ways has been around for over ten thousand years. So when you heard those words when you were a child and you heard the once upon a time most four words. You knew something good was going to happen. You knew you were going to hear a great story. Hopefully from a good storyteller. That's my job. Now i've over the years have been practicing and getting my craft and again. It's a constant constant thing. This was nothing that i was born into. But this was what i was pointed. I come from a blue collar background construction family. Over the years. I've seen seen these amazing properties again. Get on the market. I've even been part of building. When i was a teenager and i was a laborer And some properties my parent might my father and his construction company were part of That still in operation today. But i've never seen the stories told to the degree that i wish they would be until now so the missing element is here real estate. Podcast show dot com. And it's customized to your location whether it's rosedale whether it's the danforth whether it's leslie ville whether it's whitby whether it's oakville i'll take care of all of that part and make sure that you guys are on the stage with me. Your only job is to connect with me as early as possible in the process. And get your property registered with me on my. You wanna be part of my home value registry program simply because you don't wanna be finding out after the you've seen some of the average prices in your neighborhood have spite. You don't wanna be finding out two weeks later that you should have probably been on the market You know a little earlier than that so being with me all the way through. I don't care whether you're listening in two weeks to months or two years. That conversation only happens when you bring up so you'll be getting your updates. You'll be getting your follow up. Everything will be what will have again a lot of really great stories shared in the meantime so when it's time for you to make that move and you found the other place or you've decided it's time to sell everything's ready. It's so stress free. When you do it this way i can. I can assure you it's nothing like you're used to. You're not screening someone at two o'clock that you have to give your keys and your entire property value to by four pm. I couldn't do that. I don't know why you would but it shouldn't happen that way. And it doesn't need so real estate podcast show dot com. This is the most anticipated. New listing in rosedale in almost fifty years. You don't wanna miss out. You definitely want to join me for the virtual grand opening. It'll be right online. I'm not letting anybody in the my property. That i don't know the full background. How full health questionnaire.
