"At 49 58 58. This is the Ray Appleton Show on Newstalk 5 81 Oh 59 K. M. J. You know, after what's happened abroad. In Afghanistan. Makes you kind of wonder what's going to happen here, You know? Are we up for a bad one with the 20th anniversary of 9 11 around the corner? Excuse me a little bit out of breath had to run down the hall. But There's a North Carolina man. Who claimed to have a bomb. In his pickup truck in the U. S. Capitol. We talked about that. Last week he surrendered. To law enforcement, and that makes us worry that even that kind of stuff internally is going to go on in this country. Just, you know, out of overall angst. And this has promised, uh, prompted a massive police response and evacuations of the I'm alright. Just have to breathe a little bit. Smoke bad. Of the government buildings in the area. Now the authorities Investigating, saying what led the suspect identified as a 49 year old guy named Ray, Of course, Roseberry to drive to the sidewalk outside And make bomb threats to officers and professor litany of anti government grievances as a part of the bizarre episode is that you know he he'll. Oh, by the way, he livestream this whole thing on Facebook. And police searched. You know the vehicle later, they didn't find the bomb. But they did find all these bomb making materials. The reason he did. It is obvious disdain with what's going on. And you have to wonder. How much more this is going to happen. And how many more of these cars with bombs could theoretically be found here and you know there. I mean it major metropolitan cities. I'd be worried a little bit. Because I think this stuff is going to get bigger and bigger. Now the standoff was resolved peacefully. After about five hours of negotiations ending as he crawled out of the truck and was taken into police custody. But even you know, in a city with a long history of dramatic law enforcement encounters. Outside the federal landmarks this episode. Was kind of noted for its timing last week, because I mean Washington remains on edge eight months after the insurrection at the U. S. Capitol. And for one way the suspect harnessed into social media to draw attention to his actions just before his arrest, And he was using that thing that happened on January, the sixth as a gripe to continue, you know, part two. But the authorities who spent hours negotiating with the dude Said he held up handwritten signs through his driver's side window. And you know, was continuing to dig into his background last week and they didn't reveal any details about the motive. No charges were immediately announced. But I think some of this is you know, we have to worry about terrorism terrorists coming in from the Middle East. That's a fact. And I think it's going to happen with the 20th anniversary of 9 11 coming up. But I think also they're going to be wack a doos or domestic terrorists who are doing the same thing just because they're angry at the government. And remember, you know when when Biden was elected, the whole thing was like, okay, You know, the adults are back in the White house. The kids are no longer in charge. Really? I mean, you've got a hard time convincing me That you know adults are back in charge. And I think whether they're Democrats or Republicans were going to have a bunch of lone Eagles out there trying to do stuff. It could be scary now. I'm not trying to say you know this is going to happen, and I'm not trying to scare you. I'm just saying that we have to be prudent. You know, if you see, uh, an odd suitcase or briefcase somewhere reported to authorities. You know, I was talking to Devin Nunes the other day about this type of thing happening, and that's a worry. With individuals who are intelligence in this country. So that one ended with it. There's kind of a nothing burger. But my fear is more. There's going to be more. Do you worry about things like this? Or am I making much ado about nothing? I think that there's Some really sick people out there that will attempt to pull things off. And let's hope it you know, we can catch them all. Now speaking of sick people, I talked about this a little bit on Friday, but I didn't give you the whole story. The my pillow CEO. And I don't know if he's sick or not, but he's different. Mike Lindell. Scrambling to defend his claims against the election fraud over the election fraud after size cybersecurity expert I told you had demanded his cut of the $5 million reward. Lindelof promised to anybody who could disprove the accuracy of the alleged, You know, Election data. Bill Elderson. Who was a longtime cybersecurity pro specializing in packet captures, which is the exact type of data that Lindell claimed to be in possession of He attended the pillow maven cyber Symposium. Um Out of a legitimate desire to discover the truth. And this guy's a long, long term Republican. He supported Donald Trump in 2020, and he told Lindell that when he was invited to the event, he says, I would love to prove you're right. Only He couldn't He couldn't do it. So Lindell is long claimed to be in possession of this large set of network data from the 2020 election. And saved packet captures or you know these these cap files, and he even claimed that he'd, um Was able to contain every vote. Uh, since last September. I mean every single vote, look at it and determine its legitimacy, Legitimacy or not. Now, that's a lot of votes. I don't know how anybody would have that power to do that. But Anderson Alderson Excuse me. Said it took roughly 45 minutes for him to see that the data given to him and dozens of other experts in attendance was bunk. It wasn't real. Not only did it failed to prove anything about the accuracy of the 2020 election But the files weren't even in the right format. You know these peak caps.

"How about we go get this bomb that i have a friend and friend is like a cia agent and then the cia or the fbi. Agent gives it to the person as soon as i give it to them. They arrest them. That is basically what you read when you read the court documents involved in this whitmarsh case in michigan so i think this is a pretty predictable finding by the fbi because if they were to investigate the origins of all of this then they would probably lead them back to themselves and they don't wanna do that. Yeah that was. My first thought was when you started saying it. My brain went to that me. Fbi foils fbi terror Because that's that was my going to be my response. Was this sounds a lot like. Obviously we can't pin it on any specific group. We don't have the way to do that without just you know stories. That don't make sense and it's gonna come back to the fbi being behind it because everything there. Everything that day looked so ushered in a really. Did the camera work the coordinated movements. It looked like actors in some parts of it. Other parts like a training drill. And there's literally a video of someone during council on foreign relations panel discussion. These are all former cia. Fbi agents at this panel discussion. This particular one talking about how the cia and other groups were conducting what they called black propaganda operations into these groups on january six on these other dates where they were supposed to meet infiltrating these groups attempting to stir things up operating undercover. I mean the openly talked about that a council on foreign relations meaning on that same note. So this guy. Floyd ray roseberry or being john malkovich if he were auditioning to play a capital six quote. Insurrectionist had no bombs in his car. This is a man who was arrested yesterday for driving his truck to the library of congress while he live streamed threats of blowing up dc. I'm calling him now. The face of the of the domestic terrorism brand in america because he couldn't look the part anymore or sound. The part this is i mean. That's what they wanted to put out there with this guy. The police searched his car. They found no bombs but what they did find was they did collect possible bomb making materials and i found that phrasing interesting because operation flashpoint. I've talked about this. A good bit lately is an fbi and homeland security under not undergo. It's an operation where they're going around. The south training local retailers at ace hardware at stores stores that sell try not apply. Yes stuff that sells materials like this farming supplies. What are their training. The locals their training people who are who fit the very description of this floyd ray roseberry in how to detect bomb-making materials. And how to a. So they're telling them what the bomb making materials are. They're they're showing them how to arrange them. They're walking them all the way up to the line of the fbi says okay. We've arranged all the bomb making materials here in the back and this is actually what they did when you look at the the first the first training session they did and that. Fbi h. elise and says now. Just make sure the you're looking for people who buy these materials and make sure you don't mix any of those things together ordered arranged perfectly after. "We begin today on the steps of the library of congress. Were forty nine year. Old floyd ray roseberry of grover. North carolina parked a black pickup truck for several hours on thursday afternoon. During those hours. Mr roseberry posted several social media videos. And we've made an editorial decision here at the takeaway not to play any portion of those recordings for you. Roseberry directly addressed president biden referring to him as joe while also indicating the black pickup health explosive devices roseberry further indicated that he was part of a network of other individuals prepared to detonate explosive devices in other parts of the city. Just after two. Pm eastern time. Mr roseberry was taken into custody without incident during the press conference immediately following their arrests capitol. Police chief. Tom nature was asked whether he was aware of mr roseberry's motive. We do know that Mister roseberry has had some losses of of family in his I believe his mother Recently passed away and we spoke with Members of his family and there were other issues that he was dealing with. there'll be more on that Before at a later time now. This response is noteworthy because it suggests an individual mental illness framework for understanding mr roseberry's actions actions which caused the evacuation of multiple federal buildings and revived fears stemming from the january six right at the capital during the standoff congressman. Jamal bowman of new york tweeted quote. Like congressional team is safe and at home. These attacks are too familiar as we still heal from january six hope all workers on the ground arrived home safely soon while mr roseberry may well be suffering from grief loss or even diagnosed mental illness describing these conditions as a motive for violent posturing is troublesome this framework inaccurately stigmatizes mental illness by implying a link to violence. This is a myth though. Suffering with mental illness are not more likely to be violent. In fact those with mental illness are far more likely to be the victims of crimes then to be violent perpetrators and this framework obscures the pressing social political and public safety question. Was this incident links to the rising tide of domestic terrorism in the united states and particularly to the increase in white supremacist violence documented by multiple organizations and the department of homeland security here to discuss thursday's events at the library of congress. And the interpretive frame used for understanding those events are nicholas congressional reporter for politico. Welcome nicholas and lisa brooks chief-of-staff with the southern poverty law center. Welcome back to the show lisa. Thanks for having me. Melissa so nicholas just get us up to date. What has happened since rose bay was taken into custody on thursday afternoon. Well since he was taken into custody at the capitol. Police gave the all clear and so far as we know right now it seems that there were no other bombs around the city and there was no actual bomb in his car. So this this bomb threat that he had called it was just that a threat thanks And a capital. Staffer slowly returning to work in the buildings. I was gonna ask if If that all clear meant that sort of On friday morning that folks were able to have a and normal workday as normal as things are right now a absolutely now. Nicholas the chief for the capitol. Police during the press conference said that he had already spoken with the suspect's family. I was surprised to hear that. But maybe that's normal procedure. Do you have a sense of that. I think it's pretty normal procedure for the You know during these kinds of negotiations for the authorities to reach out to the families. I mean you saw the news. Organizations reached out to the family of roseberry as well. And so i. I think the idea is just to get a better picture of what kind of person they're dealing with. How serious a threat could be where the person's really coming from as they try to negotiate and talk the suspect down okay. So that's helpful leash. I wanna come to you on this. Because i'm hearing there from nicholas that this is part of the process. You're faced with this standoff. You've got to try to get through it but i was surprised to hear the chief actually evoke this kind of individuals. Experiences of loss and grief as a potential motive for for thursday's events. Was that all. What was your reaction to that. Thank you for the question on. My reaction was similar to yours in the setup in your introduction It's interesting that repeatedly we see this happen. Repeatedly with with white male suspects in engaged in acts of domestic terrorism Offered a different frame for for their for their actions. It's also interesting that the chief seem seemed at a loss to identify the motive for His actions when. I think mr roseberry clearly stated what his motives were He he repeatedly Evoked Images of the confederacy talking about the rising sow calling it. A revolution In an his his directing his words directly to president joe biden. I think it was really really clear so in in all that he sat in all the he did over those hours. It's quite interesting to me that that the chief would would land where he did so again. I don't want to give the chief individually to harney time for this. I'm sure you know. I'm sure that in these moments it's quite tense. But i will say that like you i was. I was surprised at the idea that there wouldn't be a mention of of politics of race of southern identity aspects. Because it was mr roseberry himself who set all of those things. We're not impeding that direct and the southern poverty lobster. You know three years. We watched people who have been radicalized into anti-government movement. Take these violent actions. And and so. We're not at all surprised that that you know mr roseberry like other antigovernment extremists have personal issues related to their health or finances and what what is interesting is that these extremists often craft plots to to seek justice revenge against the government and the southern poverty loss in his research shows that this typically occurs more frequently after democratic. President is elected so nicholas. I'm wondering at as a congressional reporter as someone who is obviously sort of knows what's happening in the post january six moment that capitol hill is living in sort of Initially if if you were hearing from folks about either their sense of fear or nfl say this word of terror about what was unfolding on. Capitol hill is very much on edge after what happened on january sixth and after what happened in march two and there was a car attack on the capital. But it's it's always kind of a tricky situation because you at the capital's very high profile place. You have these kind of suspicious incident reports phoned in all the time and and often. It's nothing very serious. I'm abyss left unattended and the like But you know every now and then it it does escalate something more serious and that was the The real fear that you saw staffers yesterday. Like was this going to be a to a suspicious vehicle that was parked in the wrong spot. Or was this Something much more serious and and as we learned more Throughout thursday morning are we really started grasp how potentially severe.

Maybe on but who cares about that anymore. Time with her. That all right. Joe from california boys joe california. I'll be doing a big one point today. I need to know this answer. And i hope it doesn't break you guys up this friend answering it. How do we feel about subtitles during that flips. Does my question originally started them. All the time with peaky blinders. Since then to the honest. i love him. I have rewound show like ten times just thirty seconds. Just a few a joke i could. I missed or you know a couple of words. I couldn't the you're out with what they said if it gets some subtitles on. Let's see what you guys have to say. Have a great one voice. Joe i'm gonna put them right back at you real quick. I don't know if you know this. But here's a little inside baseball. Okay so when you deliver movie to a streaming service right streaming will have a subtitle and then also years like if you watch on roku. They'll their own subtitles. And there's usually one is better than the other in terms of accuracy. Just you know. Usually the one that is on netflix. You turn it on in app versus on the roku up. But i fucking hate him to be honest with you. I hate him. Kate likes them because she likes to. Listen to everything like A quarter of the volume. That who like to not have the volume of rats. That's that's that's the thing about subtitles mean it's just not the filmmaker didn't intend for them to be there. That's got lazier. In my old age. I used to like watch a lot of foreign movies. Like asian movies and stuff. And now i just know subtitles from me. I don't enjoy using not part of my brain wasting on a movie. It's a no. It's an used to be yes. It's of no from any subtitles whatsoever. It's a waste of brainpower. I put them on on on rewind. That's that's that's where. I keep them on rewind or Replay that's an option right. You cannot mon- off or on replace of your wind something and you hit play them. The subtitles pop up for that little section. That you re watching. Yeah i yeah. I'm indifferent. I like like like like we'll says Girlfriend will go to bed. And i'll be like she'll be like you need to turn it down and i'll be like okay. I'm for subtitles announced like now you know now. I have to do subtitles i use. I used to put headphones in a funding volume thing. I'll just find a way to get headphones on and still crank the fucking volume. I've gotten used to him. But i hate when they fucking jump around and like they. They're not the bottom and sometimes it will be like at the top. It's fucking bullshit. I don't need to be paying attention to the god them words when the million dollar camera everywhere but remember that tip i told you at the top of the segment. "Give it a try. I promise you'll be pleased to hear about the skype. I've got a question for you. Guys are raspberry. How far are you willing to go for the movement and for this country and before you answer that i have another question for you. What's the last thing. The capitol hill police need their lives right now stress stress. That's for the police. What guys somehow floyd ray roseberry north carolina trump supporter manage to show us to show us. How a true patriot can take something way too far in an act of patriotism simultaneously somehow giving the capitol police the last thing. They need their lives right now. That's because forty nine year. Old railroad from north carolina showed up in front of the library of congress with a comically large bomb on his lap. Oh no on. Thursday morning In his black chevy silverado which had a full lift kit on it by the way and was packed. Full of change. We'll get to that later. Demanding to speak to joe biden so around delaware. They missed that so nobody wanted to talk to joe or talk to joe. He kept saying that he really wanted to talk to joe nine fifteen. Am ray pulled his truck onto the sidewalk. New the library of congress and told the responding officer that he had a bomb and to clear the area the officer called in the appeared to be holding a detonator in his hand By the way. And that's the videos. I was gonna ask if it was real. Because i mean the bomb is comical. It was like it. Looks like plato. Lehto we're going to see the bomb. It was like it was like a bomb about a looney tunes was fucking so big bomb definitely. Had plato like the movies no it was like a while he probably thought it was sure goes boom or no. We're going to get it for for the sake of the story right now. Yes it goes boo hoo okay. All right so nine fifteen. Am shows up. The officer gets in there and that he has a bomb. And that's when the officer bags up evacuate the area and then old flow ray starts live streaming on facebook and this love stream is fucking awesome dude. Now he's mostly talking directly to joe biden during the livestream demanding that joe get on the phone with them and here's some highlights sweetness ignoring likes. He's laser focused on joe so he talks to come domes. Es guys yeah you'll hear one guy. His name is dan. I cut this part out. But he answers like dan. I'm up here in washington. Dc around like a capital. that's a capital. You'll see what i'm talking about. Yeah okay but we're quick note so he is going to be talking. The context is talking about the is holding right. And the bombings holding according to floyd can only be triggered by a noise allowed noise past a certain decibel so he's telling gerald snipers if the snipers shoot him he's not going to set off the bomb. The loud noise of the gun gunfire hitting his truck. We'll set off the bomb and four or five other moms held by other patriots in pickup trucks in the area so biden noise. Okay there's four or five of me. Yeah there's there's a picture of him with that bomb to give you an idea and close up. The coffee drape plato on top. Yeah it's skin. Here's a boy floyd guys. "The. Us capitol complex once again became a target us capitol. Police say it started what a man drove his truck onto a sidewalk outside the library of congress this morning and claimed he had explosives authorities were forced to evacuate much of the capitol hill complex as they negotiated with this guy who communicated with them at one point using a dry erase board. The suspect livestream the ordeal as one. Does he broadcasting unhinged litany of complaints about joe biden and the federal government before it was taken down finally by facebook after five hours of this forty nine year. Old floyd ray. "In. This case had one because he has since been arrested without any sort of explosion. Thank thankfully minute don't wanna see violence. And whether or not he really had a bomb that that information has not come out so the police have not revealed whether or not his claim was true. He did have what some people thought was some sort of a detonator and was throwing money at one point Dollar bills out from his truck as people were passing by according to the hyphen son. Dot com course. Our immediate speculation was is this guy an fbi agent. Is he a false flag. Is this just another excuse for the government to crack down on gun owners or truck owners for southerners because he claimed to be. You know like saying things like the south whereas again or what people could be a white people white people. There have been statements recently by the department of homeland security that apparently alleged threats are up as the twentieth anniversary of nine eleven. I'm sure it has everything to do with nine coming soon. Certainly and i don't know if you guys heard about this. But they basically they categorize people who are critical of coveted in with groups of potential bombers basically terrorists and there was a notice of some sort that went out to local police departments from the department of homeland security that made headlines a few no like a week ago or something like that. I had it here. See if i can find. These are the same people that were preemptive preemptively striking countries you know but no if you questioned the vaccine or masked you're on this you know terrorist watch list or something but they actually been dropping bombs care. So who's the real threat here you know. That's a great point. I mean to me. The threat is clearly the federal and state governments. I mean these are people who are constantly arresting peaceful people putting people behind bars. You've got a friend who may be trying to contact us tonight. Joe that will tell us yes. Similar story Being completely peaceful and yet ending up in handcuffs so the summary by the way here of terrorism threat to the us homeland. I have the release from the department of homeland security released on friday the thirteenth. So i can share that with you. But let's talk a little bit more about the alleged bomber. That was in dc today. His name is roseberry apparently and according to the hyphen son dot com. Floyd ray roseberry age. Forty nine was. He's got three names. Well they always give. They always give all three names when somebody is a criminal suspect. Because they don't want to confuse you. With floyd john roseberry or that's what i thought they did. It would like serial killers and stuff too so he said i love this land. The south is coming for you. The revolution is on. He said in his truck against streaming on facebook. Police didn't know whether there were explosives in the vehicle and eyewitness. We read the part democrats. He said democrats need to step down and also said that he loves president biden. Facebook remove the videos a few hours after they were apparently owned. But i think some people did download them thankfully so i always hate it when facebook and youtube seem to play cover up for the government and remove people's videos constant used up some so he he was saying that he actually liked biden. He said he loved him. Apparently it seems like maybe this guy was kind of a coup and stuff in that he was pushing the propaganda the opposite way to make them look bad. Like you only gave. We're going to get away with this. I mean if you really was going to do it he would. He would have done it. Yeah roseberry didn't appear to have a specific demand for law enforcement other than to speak with the president but he is posted to his facebook before the page was taken down appears to show rosemary at the november fourteenth rally attended by thousands of trump's supporters to protest. What they claimed was a stolen election on video appears to be filmed by roseberry's he's marching with a crowd of hundreds of people carrying american flags and trump flags and shouting stop the steel raspberries ex wife. Crystal says she's never known him to have explosives but he was an avid collector firearms. The episode began about nine fifteen. This morning with a truck drove up on the sidewalk outside. The library driver told the responding officer that he had a bomb and was holding. What the officer believed to be a detonator. The truck had no license plates and when law enforcement noticed it in the morning authorities reported the possible bomb threat over police radios on the scene saw police cars and armored truck cetera speeding towards the political hub. The suspect was communicating with cops via a dry erase board. This is a new one. The fact they've got so close is just shows how big you know unsecured. This country is if if they just drive on the sidewalk yeah he got pretty pretty close right. I guess i. I see a building in the background of the photos anyway. House and senate. We're not in session. At the time when the bomb threat was underway. And it goes on here talking about apparently Was months after a pipe. Bomb was left at the headquarters of the democratic national committee and the r. n. c. also. Same day they shut down times square today on a suspected bomb threat. There was a so-called suspicious package. Oh great now they're just gonna say bomb threat all the time and they're gonna shut everything down because bomb threat everywhere is about threat. I mean i don't know about you. But like when i was in high school they they constantly had like these escalated moments of bomb threats and they had they they they made. It seem like it was real and ended up being like a box of cell phones that they had to destroy and all that stuff. But like i feel like there's just like wicked hysteria going on and they always try to find an excuse to use equipments and stuff. I wanna know if the government shutdown all the stores in bosnia due to bomb threats at iraq. Yeah or a point lucia if they shut down all those businesses for bomb threats. I remember when they shut down downtown. Keene for a bomb threat. I'll ridiculous you wanna. Do you know what what you remember this. This was several years ago though. I think you were living in the area at the time. But i had heard that downtown was shut down around the courthouse due to a suspicious backpack behind the court building and so they shut down however many blocks that they shut down and evacuated and brought the bomb team in from concord. Because you gotta come in from concord. There's not one in keene. So they brought the bomb squad in the ended up determining that The backpack was full of beer was so it's a typical new hampshire backpack. So what had happened was dude was going to court because at the time court was in that particular building. They had it in the in the same building city hall and he was going to court. And you don't want to bring your beer in the court. So he had his beer left it outside the courthouse stashed outside the courthouse new hampshire story. I've heard somebody came along and called the cops or whatever and then all of a sudden downtown shutdown so yeah people. He's guys love to overreact to things and go crazy and bring out all their toys and their tools safety. They think that we view them that way though. They think that people look at them as like. Oh thank god they. You know people who look at them. I know it's so few. It's fewer fewer all the time and and that's true and now you got cops putting you know they're big drug bust of one eight of weed and three hundred dollars and a you know some fight on facebook all the time and they just getting riddled for all the time and the reason why they use these excuses to get their tanks to in part. We got more coming up here. Our number six three two three sixty one sixty that six zero three two eight three six one. Six zero you can bring puts you want is free. Talk live brute. The international monetary fund says it is withholding four hundred fifty million dollars in funds that were scheduled to be sense afghanistan next week in a statement wednesday. The imf said. The country cannot access the funds because of the lack of clarity within the international community regarding recognition of a government in afghanistan a u. s. treasury department official told cnn earlier on wednesday that the department is taking steps to prevent the taliban from accessing the funds. But there was a spotlight on a potential alternative revenue source for afghanistan in twenty ten. Us military officials and geologists reveal. The country is sitting on mineral deposits worth nearly a trillion dollars minerals. Such as iron copper and gold are scattered across provinces security challenges. A lack of infrastructure and severe droughts have prevented the extraction of most valuable minerals in the past. That's unlikely to change soon under taliban control. "Shit like it's like sometimes if you if you go into a headlines kinda know your setup to win. The audience already knows to respect you. You're in the top spot so you it's yours to lose you. Just walk in and just do what they're expecting you to do the whereas if you're the opener you're like no one fucking respects me. I'm here to take the bullet. This is going to be the hardest ship. People are still talking. I have to earn them just to shut up and listen before they even start thinking about whether my jokes are good. You know you're against the win and you're going to act like it you're going to act like the dude who's barely lucky to be here. You just glad to have spot and you shouldn't be okay unless you have the headliner mindset walking like i don't go fuck who's on the marquee. I'm the shit who's going to be on it next week. And you are lucky to get seven minutes of me before this fifty minute fuck ruined you know what i mean. If you go in like heart accord your maybe maybe go hard onstage. He does stay hard not zip it if you're going to be that hard though 'cause people get off stage i continue to stay hard to say about this. This reminded me of all. There's been so many times before we before we're going to perform in we're on the same note and then they're always like who wants to go. I always like wadham care. And i'm always like know care. I genuinely don't care who was first or last or whatever i i hope i've opened up like shows and i go i like like i don't 'cause i. It doesn't matter where i am in the lineup. I just go up. And i just focus on what i'm doing i don't care who's gonna was before me or who's ahead of me. That doesn't matter to me. That's jeddah so when he's like. I don't fuck you fucking crush every time the tone. It's like boot camp. You know what i mean. You're gonna get stronger for doing. It's like ankle weights. Run in the mud. You're going to be when you get on nights when you not doing that spot. That's how you get tougher. It's smari what if i do everything you tell him. What if i i have done. You're seeing that. That's all i gotta do like if if i still do all that if i have something going for myself in just i just can't connect. Well what do you want. You know what i mean. You gotta ask yourself what you want. Do you wanna wife. Do you want a girlfriend one. Just fuck a lot like like fruit. You gotta ask. What is you want for. You know if you can get it. You know because. I know people who come to me. They're upset that they're not meeting the person to marry but it's their parents who want him to get married and they're not even remotely close to that lifestyle. They just fuck all the time. I get people who they think they want to get married. But it's because they want to lock in that validation. They don't realize they're using other people to make them feel good so they want someone to guarantee that they'll always approve them for the rest of their lives. That's not why you get married and then once you start breaking that shell and people are like. Oh maybe i should just date and enjoy from minute. Okay rolling me. Ask another question you've been married for twelve years. Do you think you'll seventy but not married. We've been together seven. we're not married. Been married married okay. Don't see no ring finger. No we're not. We're not about the marriage. It's okay it's okay a lot of people a lotta people are now realizing is just a contract and it's a business negotiation be but we have been together seven years. Yeah and we're happy. Do you think it will come a point where you will not be happy anymore you to change then you go fuck it. I don't wanna be here well. I don't foresee that you know. And that's why we're having a very good time. But i've made it clear and i even talked about this jokes on stages part of the reason we don't get married is because what if i become an asshole what if i suck in four years from now. I'm a piece of shit. She should go last. You know eight months. She should get better. Do you like what what what if i fall. I mean like hey support me for a little on the way down a a a minute but no if i turn out to be garbage. Throw me out. You know what i mean. And like i would do the same. If she's you know gets that weird then it'd be like what he gets. You know 'cause agreement people change in in in the what if they will really aso. It's been twelve years now that you've been carrying the other person. Well then that's on you for waiting twelve but the only thirteen days comeback. I've seen i've seen couples get together. I mean i give think earlier. I'm telling you plan if that's what they're into you know like i said i'm never going to tell anyone to not be happy if you're happy being fat as all hell. Hey the new girl can both go to golden corral and get the monthly pass about camera. Podcast he hasn't paid much attention as now pay attention. So so Okay perfect so can you can literally this your girl. That's tomorrow you take some medication now. Fucking four hundred pounds. Yeah is cooper go. Fuck it you know. Hey well listen all right. So i i actually went through a rough spot a little bit. I some shit going on and i did. I got fat. I was off for bills. That's that's a couple but you know and she talked to me though like we're open and i've done a set about the when i lost forty pounds. It's because she came in the kitchen and she saw me ship. Salsa that's all i eat chips and salsa all day like two meals a day and and she just looked sad you know what i mean it just was. She didn't say anything she just sad and i was like okay. Shit i don't look. I'm gonna address this so i told her i said look honey. I don't look like it. didn't we met. It's not fair offers that she looked like my girlfriend's in phenomenal conditional. You need to step it up bro. Yeah well here's the thing. She turns me she goes. It's not looks. I think you're going to die. That's what she said because my girl eat kale they always assumed if you're gonna kill tons of me until her look this guy eat mcdonald's every fucking healthiest fuck exceed misako bell like regular like i was i was so do oh shit potato really off. It's a lot of carbs man. That's i. I'll try it. But actually i just realized that. Never mind take back your burrito though five layer burrito. Okay then me. i'd better better. i'm just saying. I just need to meat. And that's why. I went to this blessed speedway on the way over because i went to some market over here but all these sold for meat was like raw fish. "Good evening and welcome to the Baugh. Last week we discussed brandy. So this week. I'll be making you an unforgettable. Brandy Alexander. Take a cocktail Shaker. And fill it with ICE. then. Add a single measure of Cognac to the Shaker. Then at a single measure. Of Ground Creme de Cacao. You kind of course achieve the same flavor with white. down. But it won't quite make the same color tail in the end. Then add a single measure of. Cream for a few days. It will pull slowly which I'm afraid to make spur. Bad Audio. Yes the sound of silence. Celia Shaker and shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass. Movement or two for the Froth to settle. Before garnishing with freshly grated nutmeg. Breathing delightful rumor. and. There's reason this is often served as a deserved Cocteau, rich and creamy, sweet and flavorful. This drink works wonderfully as an after dinner drink because it sweet enough to replace desert. You can make it even sweeter by topping it with whipped cream. Drizzling Chocolate Syrup over the tone. Alternatively drizzle the Syrup in the glass before pouring the drink as you do. Chocolate Roseberry MARTINIS. And finish with whipped cream. The original Alexander was Jim based. Mixing Gin sweet cream white crimped account. It's rarely seen these days and I would posit this because Jenin Crema. An interesting mix. Well at least that's my opinion on the matter. There are more than a few rumors about how this creamy concoction came to be. There have been many famous Alexander's throughout history and many of them have had their story tied to this particular cocktail drama. Critic and Thou Gone Quinn Roundtable member Alexander. woolcott claimed the Tubas named after him. Other sources say it was named after the Russian saw Alexander the Second. "Had told me that for years he had continued to renew his CPA licence, and that's one of those licenses where if you ever let it lapse you have to take the exam again. But if you renew it, you're fine. And I heard the story that Rickles paid for the renewal. So I asked him about it. And he said, well, he said, no. And we know that's not true because we're calls never paid for any. But but yes to to to walk into work. Bob did the show a couple of weeks ago to walk into work? And there's Bob Newhart is. You know, there are no words. No and one of the joys for me. Is that because I know you all have that connection to those people enter the creators and the writers cherish those guys. When I see someone like Bob Newhart on a show like big bang, and I'm sitting in watching it with my fifteen year old brother in law, and he seeing Bob Newhart for the first time. I am thrilled. And that's one of those to me. It's a treasure because you get those kinds of people in there, and you're introducing an audience to to these folks in a very palatable way, you're not going. Here's the tonight show. You have to get why I loved it. Because if you didn't grow up with I grew up with it in a in a funny way. 'cause obviously it wasn't live. But I grew up watching it. So to me, I also watch the Newhart show. I love him, but getting to show my fifteen year old brother-in-law and saying this guy this guy and the same with a lot of the other guest stars where you sort of get to say this person you have to understand you can see them in action. I mean, it's in the class of of. You know, I was also child of sitcoms share. So I've I've, you know, people over the years, you know, that I had the opportunity to work with you know, Roseberry and more EM stir damned at an episode of Carolina in the city, or I, you know, Suzanne push shat recurred on a show. I worked on a speaking of a Bob Newhart and. The. You know, when I was a kid the best answer that I had to the question. What do you wanna be? When you grow up. I wanna be inside the TV. And then you realize okay. Well, that's this is what it would look like if you were inside the TV, you would you know, you would see you would see these people. And I, you know, they've just been just, you know, I mean more many many many more than I can remember. The actor Jimmy new task from taxi. Oh, Chris, Chris, Lloyd, Chris, Lloyd. Yeah. And. And he, you know, and here, he is he, you know, here he is on the stage with you, and you know, or or or we've had we've had people that I didn't have that kind of emotional connection to. But I just remarkable incredible performance like Billy Bob Thornton who you know, who then. And then, you know, afterwards told us the story of the creation of the movie sling blade, and and how it began with that his imagining that character, and then finding a home he's the also the writer of that amazing film. And so that, you know, just just over and over you get to you get to work with these just just astonishing people, the the the the gift the gift of the big bang theory. Was the people that I got to meet, you know, both directly involved in the project. And then you know, you every now, and then you wind up at some, you know, weird place in, you know, there were there there was there was the day that lavar Burton and Bill Nye, and I were in the White House for president of pomace ci- fair, and and Bobby Fidel from from NASA and the mohawk guy from NASA. Then there was the day where we were there, and you're going, well, this is certainly odd. This is odd. So I mean, you know, that that for that has been the most amazing gift what about that that will civic it over there that is my medal from NASA. So he did we did a story line, which I share which I very much share with the rest of the big bang team..

Bob Newhart Lloyd Billy Bob Thornton NASA writer Rickles lavar Burton Roseberry Chris Bobby Fidel Bill Nye Jimmy new White House Carolina Suzanne president fifteen year
