California winery finds clever way to cut carbon pollution

"Before you pour a glass of wine. Feel the weight of the bottle in your hand. Would you notice if it were a few ounces lighter? Jackson family wines is betting that you won't the California wine restarted analyzing its carbon pollution in thousand and eight for us. It was really eye opening. Jillian bro Vice. President of Sustainability says. They discovered that a huge amount of carbon pollution was caused by manufacturing wine bottles. The Big Aha moment that we saw around our missions was really with glass. When you look at the supply chain for glass it's sent pretty energy and emissions intensive process so now the winery not only invest in renewable energy and efficiency. It's reduced the weight of each glance bottle of its Kendall Jackson Kremlin's by a couple ounces and in addition to emission savings. We saw a pretty significant financial savings associated with having to buy less glass. The wiring careful to avoid affecting the bottles look and feel and drew Rosas. Customers have not complained meanwhile shipping and sales clerks appreciate lifting lighter cases so cheers. Here's the lighter wine bottles and don't worry there still. "Can improve The platform for our players for our organizations for fans for our partners throughout It's exciting you know it's it's it's not a very fun time right now but it's one of those things we have to look for creative opportunities to do to improve The game and we might be at one here now. Yeah it would be interesting because I think about things like this when you know whether it's changing just the lottery odds whether it's you know expanding all-star the all star break from a couple of days to a full week the things that Adam silver has obviously embraced because he is one whose who questions everything and says you know Just because we've always done it this way doesn't mean we should continue. Let's let's reexamine everything he was. You know his he. He said That the phrase fresh look so many times this first couple years as commissioner. I thought he was going to have to trade market. But you know this is a different one because this is this is this is adverse circumstances that go way beyond the NBA. That are that are pushing this discussion ahead and it's interesting. I would normally think the the NBA did something as dramatic as changing the League. The calendar by a couple of months not a small change the counter but a massive one. That would be something they would study for a while. You know you do it. During an era of a time of relative calm as opposed to amid a crisis. But maybe it's the crisis that accelerates this this whole thing and maybe you know maybe by the time this picks up again. We're already dealing with a new normal but it'd be interesting because I I do feel like this is something that normally. I wouldn't be surprised to the League to tackle this and even to adopt it but not you know not under under these these kinds of pressures. Where doing it this this fall in December or a winter would suddenly be the precedent for forever without more of a of a of a study time. I don't know it's it's interesting. I was at that. I was at the panel discussion. You're on with Steve Kuhn and Kevin Arnovitz but I had to duck out early so I never got to to hear the conclusion of what you guys came up with. But I had to leave early because your old boss Daryl Morey said Hey I'm finally available for your pod if you want to do it right now so when Darryl says he's got a minute especially at the Sloan Conference when he's very very busy you jump so I had to. I had to leave early but that was a fascinating discussion. Yeah nine and one thing you were referencing earlier but I do think Howard like the biggest challenge.

"Would be a welcome challenge in a welcome a problem for us to have we'd be we'd be playing again but it's something that I know. Every organization has taken seriously. Everybody is in constant contact with their players. And everybody's anxious to get their hands on their guys and get them back in to see where we're at talked to Steve Kerr a couple of days ago and when I brought up this this challenge of trying to get guys back in gear again. After a long lay-off his response was Seattle. I think we're playing again. I mean his his feelings seem to be that you know if and when the NBA gets gets going again that it's going to be straight to play offs and that a team like the warriors would not be would not be playing because the regular season would just be wiped out and part of me. That feels like again. You know as premature is it is it seems like the cleanest easiest way back to a season without having to impact next season too much would be lop off those last sixteen to. Nineteen Games teams have left on the schedule. And you know just call that the cost of of this of this crisis and move on jump straight into the playoffs. Maybe teams play a couple of exhibition games or something and that would be a huge time saver. Obviously if you're if you're not having to pack in that extra month plus of games do you have a suspicion about where that might go yourself or or or you still operating every day as if you know what we've got an I haven't looked up your number of games left. But we're we'RE WE'RE GONNA plan on those games being there until we're told otherwise. Yeah I'm not privy to any a hard facts there but I do think we've talked about it a little bit. There's a need for for games to ramp up and we've talked about. There's going to be a period of time where it's GonNa be rough.

"Show for you today you guys get tired of Of reading my stuff and hearing all of my opinions all of the time so a little a bit of a special treat for you today we have joining us. The author of a couple of the most memorable kicks the New York giants history chance to To talk a little bit about what's going on with the giants these days were joined right now by former New York giants. This place Kicker Lawrence Times Lawrence. Thank you very much for coming on with me. You're welcome back. Thanks for having me. Hey so you know one of the reasons that I reached out out to you is that that I'm just fascinated by your twitter account. I get a kick out of your twitter account. You know folks if you're not following Lt for kicks You're you're missing. You're missing a whole lot of fun lot of good insight lot of good opinions and I just have to ask you. You have some fun with that back. I I enjoy you know I never. I never had social media played for obvious reasons. It was kind of new and it would just for me. It was just something I never really thought about having and then when I got done I was like you know. I'll never miss another kick in my life so no one can ever get at me so I can really really Kinda just say what's on my mind there but obviously you can tell from my tweets. I I haven't enormous passion for New York football in the entirely night I make fan as much as the next person And then I have opinions on you. Know the the League in general but I really enjoy interacting being. I mean I I do respond to fan. I don't just you know. Hit the button and say what I WANNA say. I do WanNa hear what other people have to say which I think that's what that platforms for opinions and you know ideas and there's a lot of smart fans out there. I really enjoy it all. You're a better man than me. I love the mute button. I don't think I listen. I've done to the block or mute. I mean that that just because you know some people say just ridiculous I think so. Hey so I so kind of where I wanted to start is what you mentioned. I can tell you know that you still have a real passion for the giants that you follow them as a fan. You know that you still care what happens there. And through the Lens of of a guy who played through you know two super bowls through a really great era of New York giants football. How how hard has it been for you to sit back? And see what's happened with this franchise over the last few years. It's tough I mean you know I. It's hard to watch it and it's to me. It's it's almost not unexplainable because we can all point two reasons why I but in some regards you see other teams doing more with less so then it becomes frustrating In terms of fan you now I I still put something. Giant assured or something on Sundays. No matter what our record is I go to the grocery store in it. You know I just I'm such that's your family but you know it's really hard to to put my finger on like I. I watch and I played the game and I was in the locker room and I I I just can't I don't know what it is. I I think there is some you know some talent deficiencies defensively but You you know I look around them for. I don't really know who the leaders of this team are. It's you know offensively can point to say on. Obviously he's don't a young player himself but you know defensively who's the guy I mean. I see yoga tree. Doing the the pre-game speed. I don't know it just doesn't seem like on the field. They have any like clear cut leaders motivators. And and that's just from you know it's just what I see. It's funny it's Kinda felt that way for a while now for the last few years. We know that that ally manning was never you sort of that out front sort of vocal guy and it's funny 'cause we stood up in the press box during the games and it's like well okay. Who's going to do the pre game speech and I guess if you're going to win you know one of the things? Is You know from your experience do you I mean. Do you have to know who the leaders are. I think you do. I mean I think it's important to identify leaders and you know that doesn't always mean you have a say on your because I felt like I was one of the leaders of our football team. I I didn't have him I just but You now I was vocal. I I talked to the guys and every physician motivated a little bit as much as I could and I just think that you know you gotTa have captains you you know you have. Obviously he lies a no brainer act. The Aussies a no brainer guys that have been there from the previous two championship teams but in terms of the you know the new guys that have come into type left I. I don't know that I see Any clear I shouldn't say that because I'm not in locker rooms. I don't know what the day today is but it just. It has a feeling a sense of you. Know who's the Antonio Peers who's the justin talkies as the straight man. Who's the Chrisny you know? The Sean O'hare is I don't know I just don't see your field team. Well hopefully you know as ah Dave gettleman has gone through a couple of drafts now. Hopefully those kinds of guys will develop. I think that's sort of where the giants are right now. They're sort of starting over in trying to find that core You know so I don't know if you look at some of this young talent and it makes you optimistic or Or if you have a you have a feel for any of that. Yeah I mean I really liked. BJ Hill last year. I know he kinda fallen off a little bit this year. Dexter Lawrence is doing a great job. Defense I'm just talking to defensive Lee now I love the receiver slate. And I think he's going to be A Stud In the fifth to get that kid in the fifth round I mean he could potentially become your number one guy with his speed. And you know you've got decent inside and you know that would be a that would be a home run for us if we could get a number one. Keep sterling healthy. Get Him in the slot. Get get ingram healthy. I mean it just seems like we've just never had the full arsenal on the field consistently to produce offensively and defensively I think is this is our biggest weakness. I mean the back end. You know it's a little bit older veteran players but I know everyone's down Baker and listen. I would say cornerback we're back the hardest position to come in and play right away If anyone remembers a great success story I mean if you look at Corey Webster I think he was Kinda in that same boat not as high. Hi a pig. But you know he was. The second rounder struggled struggled struggled and then I believe it was my first year there. I wasn't there when core struggled but I had heard the stories and you know goes out and has an unbelievable playoff run and then turned it into some really solid years after that. So I would give Baker's time I mean that is a tough tough job and you know we're not getting a ton of pressure on the quarterback which is vacant his job more difficult. So you know I think you know I just let him develop a little bit. I like the pack. I mean obviously will time will tell But you know it's I just think there's e- we. We needed overall probably on the on the defensive side in terms of personnel. Let me let me ask you a little bit more about Baker. You know I mentioned mentioned your twitter account earlier and you had a couple of things to say on twitter about Baker and about what can happen in a locker room. You saw the play where we're thought. He kinda loafed across the field. I mean is that for you especially with a young player. Who's WHO's not proven? Is that an alarm bell for you as to as to his future and and just explain kind of you know when you you talk about the locker room sort of cutting him or or handling that. What exactly are we talking about here? Well that's what I'm saying and to to answer the first part of your question. It isn't an alarm. Yeah I think you know I always say and everyone says attitude and effort free. Don't eat talent to run to the ball So that is a little bit of an alarm For ME I. I wouldn't hold it against him but I'm never going to eat that. He did that because if he does it again. You know critical moments as as he progresses in his career. Then then you probably have a real problem but he is. A young player is his head is spinning. It's a tough position I think you know the the guys the leadership you know obviously from the coaching staff to the defensive offensive side of the ball I know for a fact that jumped into Iran Tonio peers. And I don't like comparing but I'm just speaking for well. Why played those guys would have handled that Internally in a polite way you know we're not gonna you know not fights brawl professionals you you get in there and you just kind of look at the pulled aside professionally and I know just him do this. I know strenuous Antonio would do this. Whoever intro role and just talk to them he's a young player trying to figure it out and give him positive affirmation player? Let's figure this thing out here and listen and we can't have that you know 'cause this is a weak thing it's not an eye thing and so I think I still like him. I know he's having struggles right now. L. But he's a talented kid And he's planning a tough market. Where only because of his draft status and so you know I'm optimistic that he will improve and become a a legitimate number. One number two corner all right. So obviously Ashley you know another guy who I saw you talk a little bit about on your twitter account. Recently is is giants kicker all grosses and and and we know euros so good last year. Struggled as a rookie turned into a pro bowl kicker last year and we know you know you've missed your sheriff kicks. You missed some you make some. You know I think about the Green Bay game you know all of those things but where do you where where do you see..

"To me and all the experience with Houston and with Minnesota now those are things I'm very humbled and blessed by because row less travel. I'm an immigrant in this country who caught the bug of basketball and the love and the passion for the game into this day. You know I pinch inch myself because I'm like. I can't believe it's really happening. I always love to hear like who guys pattern themselves. After you know your kid in the driveway whatever who are you with the clock running down and making the shot whatever who were you in the driveway and I was <music> hours Prime Michael Jordan of course naturally you know it was tough because Kim allies on in the midst of his greatness and our Houston teams and actually tell them day one time and when we were talking the rocketed pretty good against Chicago during that time period and they never got a chance to to meet in the finals but they would have been a very entertaining series of work out that way no doubt you've had a couple of Munster to kind of acclimate to Minnesota by some winter coats during the spring sales I suppose figure out the skyways the labyrinth e the habit trail for human beings what do you what do you sense of Minnesota so far. Can you define Minnesota Nice for me. How often have you heard that very often? You know what the one of the most intriguing things to me has been and you live this like we go in the different M._B._A.. Markets and you know downtown area around the arena and that's you know two or three rest I tell you I'm falling in love with Minneapolis. A lot of it is right. Now is probably the best time of the year unbelievable community unbelievable people big passion for sports. You know all the lakes and you know being outdoors. It's a special time and you get out of your M._B._A.. Shell and you see communities. You see neighborhoods. You see people and it's exciting. It's a great place for me to take.

"I worked so well together in that you know I I've come from mostly a basketball background. He came for more of analytical analytical background in that marriage was healthy. There was a ton of debate a ton of discussion a ton of times where we didn't see things the same way but our ability to work together and execute among different planes really gave me a value you for his perspective and his experience in what he brought to the game. I definitely think it has to be a balanced approach but anybody. That's a competitor anybody that wants to win. You on every resource at your disposal in analytics addicts are key part of our game <hes> sports science. <hes> people still carry the day <hes> but you have to have the resources. You have to check every box you gotta be thorough and that's what our program is going to be about. It's a very modern approach questioning anyway. We do what we do to see. If there's a better way to do it you know operationally on the court off the court as a staff as a roster those reproaches it. We're GONNA strongly value here. What was the highest high and lowest low in Houston toughest moment you know that that hamstring injury last year Chris Paul and in the Warriors Series Conference Finals Yeah I mean we the team we build? How things have come together? Having a couple bliss shots to win that series against the Great Dynasty still hurts us to this day I mean you talk about our process and our structure and what that T- men in terms of how we put it together. That was a direct correlation. Elation of all our efforts and that's why you gotta catch breaks you know Golden State stayed healthy and won the series and won a championship but we felt the confidence that you know if we could have kept Chris healthy you no might be having a championship ring here today yeah but that's life and that's sports and that's what drives you and that's what motivates you to to for me to be here in Minnesota to do something we haven't done that. Passion continues the highest highest high are a couple one is being as a fan in Houston growing up and seeing those championships were pretty special but you know the process and the execution of acquiring James Harden was something always look back very fondly. You mentioned early on in in this discussion that you knew you weren't going to be able to play the game at a high level so you decided okay. I'll you know if I can run a team that that would be all right. When was that that revelation and what was your high like Jimi what was Gerson roses the basketball player? Where did you top out at? What was your game man I I was? I was a guy who loved to play. I wished to count myself. I self to to some guys that that were in the league with the reality is there there wasn't any talent there. I'd love to you know I was a point guard who loved to create for others love to defend and could his spot shots from time to time but at the the end of the day as you move from one level to the next you know talent and physical tools with drove me in scouting. I knew everything I didn't have any everything that others had so the exposure the ability to see what let an N._B._A.. Player was like in. I've been very fortunate Howard. This game has taken me unbelievable places whether it's winning a gold medal with coach k. and the Olympic team in Rio as part of U._S._A.. Basketball being a director fracture of the N._B._A.. Basketball Without Borders and getting a chance to grow and develop the game all over the world and I had the chance to go to Columbia here a couple of weeks ago and do our camp there was very special to me and all the experience with Houston and with Minnesota now those are things I'm very humbled and blessed by because row less travel..

"There's also the argument that we've made of maximization of assets your ability to use your draft picks or your cap flexibility in free agency before the draft so you have a clearer picture of who you are what you have and how you can execute that in the draft so there's a lot of levers in place I would make that process more productive for teams. If there's one thing you learn your chief lesson in sixteen years with the rockets the one thing that you thought that Darryl did or even the Carol Dasa Carroll Dawson hired you initially Dennis Yeah. So what are what are the things that you are. You think are carrying with you that you think this is a core thing that I know is the right way to go because we did it there and and just produce results or this just set the right agenda the right values so you know to be fair Rudy Tomjanovich who deserves to be in the hall of fame Absolute Carroll Carroll Dawson Dennis Lindsey really taught us <hes> collaboration and respect people and do things the right way in have a family environment and I take that to this day it's it's part of what our focus is here in Minnesota and and they've won they won two championships part of that organization doing it that way and it was an example of you can do things the right way and half success my period with with Darrell and Leslie and even the fatigue of family in its thoroughness and diligence questioned the norm and it was a little bit on demand in terms of you had to look for opportunities you had to be creative. You had to look for opportunities in in places where they often don't won't show up whether that's signing undrafted players or developing players in your program or trades for beds and a lot of that process means a lot of failure but you can't give up you gotta keep going and you gotta get fortunate and in catch breaks in in our league I often you can do everything right and be wrong or you can do everything wrong and be right. It's just sports. It's why everybody feels a different points. They have chances but be prepared. Being educated aided making the most educated decisions. Every step of the way is over time with creates opportunities. The rockets also of course under under Darrell in particular were among the most progressive when it came to analytics. I think probably sports science. All the modern day kind of areas departments department said it'd be developed so that didn't exist in the N._B._A.. Fifteen years ago are you carrying all of that for to that that you know that to modernize a franchise. You've gotTa have these areas. There's been major emphases of yours and part of your hires early on here. Absolutely you know for me. I sat at a very interesting vantage point in that and it's one of the reasons why I think Daryl..

"On the guy we drafted this year. Jerry Colbert. I think is perfect for what we're going to be about and to be fair to him. As a rookie as a young players GonNa take some time but were investing in our core our current group every day and we're making sure that guys like him Joshua Koji all these guys every day are working to get better so hopefully one of those guys takes a big step forward in their one of the answers to that question but our jobs every day are to explore opportunities risk whether that's in free agency in next year's draft in trades that never stops you know that's our consistent focus on looking for those opportunities so we can expect you to be going head to head with Daryl for every star who's possibly ugly discontent discontented somewhere and ready to move you guys are going to be in every time just as the rackets have been fortunately we're a little bit of a different stage true and that makes you know our timelines are approaches are a little bit different. Yeah we have to be strategic with every decision we make and we know necessarily we're not. WE'RE NOT GONNA win this year but we're building our model be sustainable and to win it all at the right period of time and that's what we're planning towards edge of for your seat thrill ride that will change seeing movies forever. The Movies Sundays Nine PM on C._N._N.. Why was Jerry covert? You mentioned him a couple of times. Obviously you're very high and him. Why was he worst jumping up five spots in the draft to get and giving up a player Dario Saric in the process so the current N._B._A.? System really rewards wings with his profile and I'll start with him as an individual hi character professional loves to win very competitive the leader of a team that came out of nowhere and got to the championship game in college and got very close to winning that and he was the main Guy Hi there basketball wise six six seven wing who can play make who can score Hogan defend versatile positions <hes> who's got an unbelievable approach and work ethic were excited. That's a that's a great complement to Carl. That's a great complement to how we WanNa play and a strong talent base to how we want to build this team. It seemed like there was a profile. Actually of some of your free agent moves to you're going for guys with some heightened lanes who can play multiple physicians and guard multiple positions are looking for all that switch ability and just especially defensive versatility.

"There were changing the image of what Minnesota the timberwolves have been about and a reality is it's. The identity of Carl is and where he wants to be so we're supporting them vision. Let's let's let's talk about that for a second because in in Houston you guys were always incredibly aggressive. You guys we're going to go after every free agent. That was available. Whether you cap rumor not we saw it again with Daryl chasing Jimmy Butler. You don't have to say that I can but whether it was Carmelo Anthony Multiple Times I think Dwight Howard obviously guys eventually got <hes> Chris. Chris Bosh a number of guys when you had Capri when you didn't have capra didn't matter we knew the rockets were in it. That is Daryl's M._O.. That was your M._o.. As a front office do you take a moment of things that you take from Houston to Minnesota. Is that going to be the Mo.. They're like you know what we're we're no matter how realistic it may seem to somebody else. We're in it on all these guys. We're we'RE GONNA go all out to get the second star the third star whatever the reality is it's easy math and this is a players league the best players the most talented rounded players on a team win in that's the reality it's so hard to being championship contention in the N._B._A.. It's so hard to be in a position. It's why Toronto did what they did and those guys deserve a ton of credit for that. You have to put yourself in a position to have special players in your program in the reality. is nothing else might matter you know secondarily player development how you develop your guys chemistry and continuity is super important and if you WanNa have success at a high level that those things reveal the characters in the values in your organization and that's something that if you want to build the ship organization you need to have golden state in the same thing. They've had a lot of success with with that. You know you can't be picky. You always have to be prepared. Go get the best players where they become available in the draft in Free Agency and Trades. You always want to be in the conversation. You want to be at the seat at the table people with those level of players because that's what's going to allow you to build a championship organization. We're fortunate here in Minnesota. We've got a guy so that allows an ease big conduit of being here and that excites other players and gives them them with his iron and interest to be here with us and I think there's probably been years and maybe just even for a long time where he would have thought Minnesota's not going to be destination cold weather city smaller market but you guys were very much in the running for a significant all-star free agent. Isn't this past week or so. Daniel Russell ends up in Golden State. You can't say the name again I can but but tell me about what you think you may have learned or established by being in the running for we'll just say a significant the All star caliber free agent despite you not having cap room the Karl. Anthony deserves a ton of credit because he's the reason why guys WanNa be here. He's a special talent big <unk> who can play in the modern game can play inside can play outside and he's a guy who's on selfish. He just wants to win. You know he can score. He can create he's very versatile and he's the type of player who guys WanNa play with as a player as a personality in terms of value and that gives us a leg up on the market and then you have an ownership group. That's wants to do the right thing. You have a market in a fan base that are hungry for a winner <hes> and we're putting the resources behind making that a reality so anytime I have those areas of support you can do anything you know. You'RE GONNA get a lot of knows before you get a yes but when that yes comes it special we lived in Houston. You cannot stop trying. You always have to position yourself to be in a place where you can trade for a guy when you can sign a guy where your situation your environment. Your organization is appealing for for the right reasons to high level championship.

"At a time when that was we always say there's only thirty jobs but that was a really really really tough one go in with them having bottomed out and no draft picks everything else but there's a certain challenge that obviously he's still thought was an allure there you can go to that kind of situation. You can go to the situation where there's a team that made a transition and maybe they were a contender than they follow down like a step or two whatever but they're still some like there's all these different ways. You can inherit a team right. You've got one. That's mostly pretty young in up and coming superstar in Karl Anthony towns who's made you all star teams and just all all the world world in front of him. Still there all these different ways of going into that job what was attractive about this one and is it. Is this kind of the preferred option for you that if you could pick if you had your choice over the course of years inheriting a contender inheriting a complete rebuilding reading inheriting this which is probably somewhere in the middle but with a young budding star that you know you can build around. was there a certain attraction to that particular model so as you mentioned. There's only thirty of them in the reality is the only open up if something's wrong uh-huh. You don't get your chance to say hey. This is how I specifically wanted but anytime you go through the process <hes> you have to value different things to me. It was always the relationship with with ownership because it always begins with ownership. You know an organization that starts top down you know who's on it. What's their vision? What are their values and as I've talked to different organizations? This one felt very natural natural the conversations we had the commitments the shared valued <hes> that shared vision shared approaches. Were very important to me. <hes> I've been around the League along time I've studied champions. I've looked at what organizations have been successful in. That's the foundation is a line and I wanted to be somewhere where you could be aligned with ownership. You could be aligned with the business side and you could execute a vision where everybody's on the same page. That's the only way you'll have a chance to have success in this leak and and Minnesota off for that this is a team to be fair to the former administration who two years ago was a top four seed before they had injuries and last year was a hard year for the organization. There was a lot of changes <hes> there was a lot of things that what happened here which created the opportunity for me to to be a part of this organization but there's there's talent there's value but more importantly there's a hunger. There's a desire to do something different to do something special that hasn't been don here and that really excited me because you can go to great organizations all over the League that have won championships and have done it the opportunity to do something here with a great group of people with a hunger for a market in a great sports town for fans. That really wanted was very important to me and it's something that's not going to happen overnight. It's going to take time but I'm very confident in in our vision. I'm confident in the experiences that I've had and how to build a team and how to do the things that we i WanNa do here but I will tell you. Having a guy like Karl Anthony towns on the roster gives you a big opportunity. I mean we've been in Houston in different times where we didn't have a number one guy in for me to step in and have that guy there and have a great partner and Ryan and a great partner Glenn and Ethan in that whole group. That's how I wanted to do this job..

"Cowboys had to use a time out with injury to me colleges. Help the sidelines. Third down nine for the giants at the cowboy eighteen yard line saquon Barkley empties out the backfield's what's out the right manning alone in the shotgun. It's been sacked six times tonight along the right hash. Manning drops. The troll pressure coming throws over little wide open. His tight end Ingram in the middle of the end zone. And it's a touchdown Ingram with his first touchdown grab of the year ally. Manning with his first touchdown pass at an easy floater to Ingram to keep the giants slim hopes alive. Into the end zone for the first time tonight now down twenty two nine. The giants have some success. All I know is late in the game. And just was pretty much in hand already or out of hand for the giants who does perspective, but. Bigger wide. Open the end zone. Finally. Touchdown tonight for manning two hundred forty five yards and that score and the fiftieth touchdown pass against Dallas in Eli Manning's career roses song for the extra point that one good that it's twenty to ten with one twenty seven to go in the fourth giants with all three timeouts remaining but down by two scores. The copyright of tonight's broadcast of Sunday night football on Westwood One is owned by the NFL on behalf of its member clubs all rights to this broadcast reserved and any rebroadcast recording retransmission or together. Use of this broadcast without the express written permission of the National Football League is strictly prohibited. Reminder to stay with us for the Senate football post game report will recap the highlights and stats from tonight's game. Plus you'll hear from a member of the winning team and Scott ramble once again have scores and highlights from around the league that's all coming up after the game. Gotta believe onsides. Kevin. I see Odell Beckham junior out there for the giants. Out there on this kick off team hoping to recover it. I see the urgency to kick your act like you're back in the game. But that lasts drivers makes me scratch my head. There was no sense of urgency. There was no temple. The league game penalty. There's the onside Buddha to the left side of caroms off a couple of Cowboys. I think the giants Abbott at the forty six yard line. It caromed right off the hands of two different Cowboys at it is New York football, the recovery by Michael Thomas as Rosas with the onside kick and it went right off Blake Jarwan caromed off rod Smith. The giants have similar life jar one couldn't corral it and diving on top of it was Michael Thomas. So here comes Eli manning again on side, kick recovery, one twenty-seven and all three timeouts remaining receiving the clock should've started and then stopped on the recovery. We've reset the game two one two five one twenty five remaining. Please. Seconds lost with the clock. Not starting so one twenty five left in this one. But the giants with the ball thrown forty seven yard line. They have a say as you just wish that last series. It takes alone. Took four minutes. Eighteen seconds last series. The finally the end zone because there was no sense of urgency to hurry up. They got a penalty authority we passed. So now, we have a minute forty five minutes. It could cost them do have all three timeouts remaining three receivers left. Standing in the slot. Right side is Ingram. Manning in the gun on. I doubt shotgun. Snap comes in. Wayside manning sets. Throws Ingram across the midfield. Gets the sideline and out of bounds. At the Dallas forty nine yard line. Byron Jones chasing him out. Just a four yard game. It's going to be second down there. Out at midfield. Not even progress to the cowboy side so second and seven one nineteen. Manning is going to send Latimer out wide to the right? That's three receivers that direction single receiver to the left is owed L Beckham junior on second seven from midfield. Manning looks left throws over the middle of that short caught by Shepard at shepherd. Tripped up five Andrew rash at the forty five yard line on continuing to run one ten in county to go with cowboy forty five thirty two. How much trouble for the giants that take a lot of time. They are use a timeout already wasted so much time man and clapping for the shotgun. Snap hasn't come yet. Still waiting for it still waiting for fifty five seconds. As it gets the shotgun. Snap on third and to pressure. Coming manning. Steps away throws on the run catches made by Ingram. And he's down at the thirty seven yard line. And now a timeout will be used by the giants with forty six seconds to go at the Cowboys thirty seven yard line. Science stuck in mud at times offensively tonight. Don't miss all the NFL excitable NBC next Sunday night. When the New England Patriots, meet the Detroit lines. Of course, you can also here Sunday night football each week right here on Westwood One. Beginning at seven thirty pm eastern on many of these same stations. New England bouncing back from a loss today at Jacksonville. First time Jaguars in their franchise history. Beat the patriots Blake Bortles was three hundred seventy seven yards and four touchdown passes for Blake Bortles lions. Oh and two on the shown season losing to San Francisco today thirty to twenty seven. Manning. The giants will the first ten the Cowboys thirty seven moving from right to left down twenty two ten with forty six seconds ago. Manning along the right side in the shotgun. Gets the snap four-man pressure. Holds does the pocket manning steps throwing for Beckham over the middle in the end zone. The ball is intercepted that out of bounds. Jeff Keith one of three Cowboys down there. Leaping in the air the ball down. And he came down hard to the back of the end zone. He's hurt. They'll stop play for a moment as he will be tended to by the athletic training staff and because they stopped play. He was trying to get back in the huddle Jason to get up, but they stopped playing. They're going to have to escort him to the sideline for at least one play. He went up and got the big aisle jumped Odell Beckham here a little bit got the picketers came down hard, neck shoulder. Maybe not himself for being that shoulder. But the Cowboys need to do is capable the charge. Timeout timeout costs the Cowboys their second one remaining not that. They're particularly worried at this point about their timeouts up twenty to ten defensively. The Cowboys just keep the ball in front of you. You really have to take a shot to the years. Oh here actually to solve deputy ball there. But let the let the giants we've all according to you. Call timeouts is thirty eight seconds on the clock the to score game. So there's no real need to panic year. And I I would probably rushed three four the situation for receivers out there to to either side of the line manning the gun with Barclay was right. Manning swing pass Barkley at the forty yard line up the right side line to the thirty five and he'll walk out of bounds near the thirty four yard line. That's just a three yard gain on that swing past Barclay, which has got them in the story tonight. Fourteen catches for seventy nine yards for Barclays defensively. Your five best. We got three yard your waste five. Six seven seconds off o'clock. We could do this all night. Jeff heath back in dismissed the one play third and seven thirty four yard line manning along ride hash and wedding. The shotgun snap. He has it. Backs to throw fires over the middle. Caught by Beckham on a leap of the twenty five yard line. Trying to get to the left side of the twenty Beckham turns back and he's tackled. Inbounds at the twenty yard line. Second time out will be utilized by the giants.
