"America Ferrera starred on the TV show ugly Betty and became the first Latina to win an Emmy as a leading actress in comedy. She was born in Los Angeles to Honduran parents and made her acting debut in the 2002 film real women have curves. From the lights on. I want you to see me. I can't believe that. But at a recently made her directorial debut with the Netflix film I am not your perfect Mexican daughter. Her credits include the film the sisterhood of the traveling pants and most recently the TV comedy superstore, which she co produced. Feta sees a disturbing trend with many Latino led shows and films. When budget shrink when companies are having the difficult time, our projects are the first to go. Federa and Longoria both say diversity and inclusion makes business sense. So does their friend Christy habecker, who founded the magazine Latina in 1996, she was a Hollywood producer and agent before she became an executive at WarnerMedia, haubegger says she Longoria Ferrera and others are trying to convince Hollywood they can benefit from nearly 63 million Latinos in the U.S.. I want you to want to be the platform that tells our stories because you want to win. 20% of the American audience, right? You want to win the trillions of dollars in spending power. We have. You want to win our over performance at the box office. The activism by these latinas has gone beyond Hollywood, Ferrero once gave a TED Talk about empowerment. Longoria opened the 2020 Democratic National Convention, and for years both of them have rallied the Latina vote. I'm out here with Rosario Dawson, Gina Rodriguez, even Longoria is always sandana because there's nothing more important going on for our communities. So we have to show up with the whole family because when we show up together, we're stronger. They've also made public service announcements like these from Rosario Dawson and Longoria. Election

"A shot, everybody. My husband works for Disney. We talked about the island. This is the LucasFilm. Property underneath the Disney umbrella. But we gotta release date for that, which is surprisingly soon. Very soon. I think in September, right? September 19th. Very exciting. That's awesome. Got some dying light two DLC? Reminds me we need to get back to that game. I need to give it another shot. I haven't played it really since around release time. I know they've done a lot of fixes to it. So I need to just hop back in. It's a great game. I enjoyed it. The first one. I finished the whole favorite games. Oh, first of all, it's amazing. Yeah, yeah. Okay, okay, so let me send first and second. I prefer the first one. Okay. But the second one is good. That's proper expectations you're setting. So thank you. It's good. I have a lot of hours on that one. 40 40 plus 50 hours, I think. No, we were both talking about how we want to go back and play more of it and how now that the game has been patched and polished a little bit that now is probably the best time to go back and check it out. And Rosario Dawson is in there. That's what I have to say. She is? She is. Indici is. Well, listen, we're inevitably going to miss some of the news because there's just too much news that happened this week, but we have some fun hands on stuff to talk about. So stick with us everybody. We will be right back. Welcome back, everybody. It is the second segment of the western games podcast where we talk about what we've been playing in any event that we have been to and lord of we've been playing all awesome. Let's start with saints row. Yeah. Thank you to

"I don't get it. Excuse me for being too negative, but it's just like, man, that is like to be like, I've been playing this for 15 hours and not much has happened. I'll tell you that much. The whole thing. The stories where you're trying to find your sister and there's some flashbacks to them. They're all bad. And the writing's bad. So it's like you have 15 or 30 hours. Bad. What is there to do? It's functional. It tells you what you need to do. For 15 hours, it's got to be boring, even if it's all kicking guys. I can try to enjoy the moment when I became quite a bit. Every time I stop playing. It's interesting. I kind of want to play more. The parkour is fun. The beaten ups one, I've got some good abilities right now. And like I said, you find a lot of weapons you can make set on fire and hit hit zombies with them so they sent on fire too. It's just fun to run around even at night. I was really worried about the timer stuff at night. I haven't had too many problems with it so far. You find a lot of immunity boosters and everything like that. The gameplay loop is shrooms. I'm having a great time with it. Despite the fact that the story seems not innovative in a major way. It's function or something. Something to be said about it a gameplay loop that just kind of resonates with you. Yeah, but I just think it's weird that I've seen comments that's like, oh, there are only 15 hours in. That's not enough to judge the game. It's like, that's 15 hours. It's a lot of hours. If I was writing a scored review, I would agree, but as someone who like. No, I'm going to go do something else. I just think it's really weird. I don't know. It's video games, though. I know it's video games now. It's crazy. Because I think one of my big problems with dying light two is like the tech tree, the number of moves you start out with and the number of things you have to do to flesh it out to where it feels like a good modern game. With the some of the parkour stuff, the slide, the wall run, some of the melee stuff, the dropkick, the other stuff. I think if you gave people that all in the first minute, it would be overwhelming. But at the same time, it doesn't feel like enough out of the gate to where I feel like it just makes that slow start feel even slower and that made it hard for me. Even the other one I got to that 13 hour mark and felt like I had had most of what I want to go do stuff with. I think that was also the point where I hit I don't want to go do stuff anymore because the rest of the story fatigue and everything else set into a point where I was just like, yeah, it's still that just block attack, perfect block, stagger. Melee stuff. A lot of these other games do. Once you get past the perfect blocking seems important in the early game, but after a certain point you really don't need to worry about anymore. I'm going to go the way where I over level stuff. And have an easier time fighting. I will say it's really weird the way the level range is one through 6. That's all it is. I'm like 20 hours in. I'm like level three. And it feels like there should be more granular there in terms of finding more weapons and things like that, but that's an odd choice. And I forgot what else I was going to say, but yeah, I lost it. But I really do enjoy the comment in these games. I played a fuck of fuck all of dying by one and the expansion pack. So this is pretty similar to that. It's a little more rough hue. I gotta say though. It's so Brown is my biggest complaint about Brown. It's an extremely Brown. I think it looks better without RTX on for some reason. It just makes them feel blurry and weird looking. I see people keep on saying this is one of the best looking games of all time and I'm like, here's cyberpunk, go try that again. It's probably because you're so stretched out all the colors are stretched out. Wide brown monitor. I think that when you think about dying light two and why it starts the way it runs the way it runs, I think probably the numbers for dying light one strongly justify. It's why they said all that 500 hour stuff. It's why that game starts the way it does is because they have data to back up, yo, people played the hell out of this game. They rung every little bit out of it and we did all those free DLC and they played all that. So they're making this game for those people. Those people, I think, will eat it up, but I think in terms of finding a wider audience and all other stuff. I don't think that they have like 300 have done very well. 300,000 players. It's still on the top ten. But like I said, that first game grew in popularity too. It just feels like they're speaking to that base. And not necessarily trying to make some big mainstream or if they've tried to make something mainstream thing, I think that they fucked up in a handful of ways, but sign me up. Like I said, I played a bit a little co op last night. We did eventually get a working with one of the community members. Thank you, watershed for joining my stream. Co op is really weird because it sounds like I joined his game at one point, and he was in a part of the math that I had no access to at all. It seemed like I don't know how the level scaling work I kind of quit immediately because I didn't want to be spoiled on anything, but I did unlock the ability to get the paraglider and the UV flashlight, which I should not have had access to at all. So now they are in my single player game, the UV flash language I should not have access to. There's still a lot of wonkiness around the co op. I know there's still no console cross play and there's still patch and everything up. But it's fully functional now on PC. I think it's I think it's great, I think I'm having a really good time playing it for a long time. Hopefully. But definitely if you want to wait a few patches, probably it'd be even better in 6 months or so. And skip all the story. Yeah. I don't mean to say it's bad or poorly written. I think there's just too much writing. Not every dialog needs to be some of these dialogs are like 50 back and forth about pretty simple stuff and yeah, the water's not on good. I don't need to have a novel written about every single problem in this world. And I think they overdid that. But I will say that skipped dialog button works really well. Like it's extremely good. It kind of skips between I guess whatever the key frames in the animation would be. So it'll just cut you right to the next part of dialog. Even if somebody is into the room and done something. So you'll be like skipping through so quick it's a little blurry or a little hard to follow, but it does work extremely well if you want to just skip dialogs. That's way too much of it. How is Rosario Dawson? Is she all right? I just found so I believe I don't want a small too much, but I just ran into it for the second time. She seems fine. She's not fine. I'll take that. She's been in a bunch of games, I think. It's kind of like her main not enough as far as I'm concerned. I don't know if I've ever mentioned but Lisa was childhood friends with her and that's partially why I married Lisa for the chance. Rosario Dawson, at some point. Hopefully, and how's that? That's not worked out yet. Now we're done yet. I'm still working up to get Lisa to just reach out to her, send a fucking email or something, maybe a tweet, and then just CC me on it, and then I'll take over from there. You'll close the deal. Yeah. Work it out as it were. Fantastic. Well, that's video games. Why don't we take a break, we'll come back and talk about some news. How's that sound?.

"Are great. That is so crazy. But you know what I did? This was great. I got some flowers yesterday before Valentine's Day. Beautiful. I was really excited to surprise him. And I said this. I said, whoever sent these flowers, I'm gonna marry. That's what I said. Dude, I got nervous. So I took a video of the flowers and then I opened the card and I was like, oh my God. It's window. The white watches. Oh my God. Did you go marry Oprah? But you know what? I'm very happy to do something because Kim and Justin really you too. And we're getting to know each other. You all are actually happily single. Like, you are happily single. And here's the thing. There's a lot of people out there who are happily single. And on Valentine's Day, a lot of times, people try to project where you should be, how you should be feeling. What's your love life should be? Like, oh, you're single next year, and you're like, I'm fine. So it's so important when you're happily single. Don't let other people's projections of. Well, why aren't you dating anyone? I'm sure you want someone. It can be tiring sometimes. So make sure you own your being happily single and don't let others projections. So I'm sorry, go ahead, baby. I just want to say, give them the answer. Because if I'm at work and somebody says to me right now, after I've watched this show, I want to be able to say shut your ass up. Right, I'm good. I'm really, really good because it's that age old question that we always hate. You're smart, you're beautiful. You're successful. How is it that you're still single? Oh, they asked me that. And you know, you don't need to marry people. You're beautiful. You're smart, why are you still married to that? Why are they doing that to us? So my thing is, you know, don't get defensive because some days they can ask me on the wrong day and you ready to go off. To say, I'm really okay. But someone you want to introduce me to, I'm also. That's why I say it's a choice. Right now. Hey, if y'all got somebody for me, I don't even baby. Into the flower. It's the same. Exactly. What I hate all the time is when couples get together and it's their first Valentine's Day. And one of the couple, one of the partners expects this big lavish saying. And the other one's like, we've only been dating for two months. How do people talk about nature? Let's talk about those expectations because first of all, if you are into Valentine's Day, it is okay to let your partner know you're in a Valentine's Day. Let's keep it real. Most men don't wake up and say, oh, I want to celebrate Valentine's Day. I love it so much. They suck it up, they do it to make their partner happy. But you have to have expectations that are very realistic. Don't expect diamonds and pearls and all that stuff. When you just started dating someone, expect some, you know, maybe a nice dinner, spending time together, enjoy that moment, but I see so many people ruin what could be a great relationship because they're expecting too much. Instagram did it to everybody. Thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you. Have you back on? We're going to talk about some Instagram. We got talk about Instagram. Oh, 'cause it's gonna get you, check out Monique's debut novel reality and chaos. It's available on Amazon and Barnes and noble right now you won't want to miss that. But coming up, the Hollywood couple who just called it quits. Then did Mark Anthony throw shade at a rod, his surprising comments next. We're kicking off today's Hollywood minute with the Olympics. Team USA's Aaron Jackson has made history winning gold in the women's 500 meters in speed skating. Now the 29 year old is the first American to win in this event since 1994 and the first black American woman ever to win an Olympic speed skating medal. Crazy. Rosario Dawson and her New Jersey senator boyfriend Cory Booker have reportedly broken up after more than two years together. Now, the two met at a political fundraiser and she even made the move from California to the garden state to be by his side, supporting him during his 2020.

"Actual gameplay and you would do certain things and move around and interact with objects. But this trailer and I know I know we've learned the lesson throughout the years, you don't get too hyped over trailers, but even I was feeling it in my pants, baby girl. I was like, dang. The shit is hot. This is our eclipse. And then at the end when it said, it's a hot tray lot trailer. And then it would obviously take quantum dream at the end and then Twitter kind of. And like you said, it's hard because I know we've seen the stories and I think we're seeing at this point. Such a systemic issue within a lot of game studios that there's no real easy answer and quantum is a large studio. I think they have over 200 employees, and there's a lot of good people that work on that studio. And there's no easy answer. We're never going to claim to have the right answer. I think it's a very personal decision for folks to decide how they want to support these games that they're excited about in the creators who make them. But with all that said, you know, I was looking at a tweet from Tom Henderson, who appears to nobody's talking about but who could say, and it sounds like this game is believed to be about three to four years away minimum and they're currently trying to hire staff to help with it, which obviously they are. Makes sense. But don't expect this anytime soon, if rumors are to be believed. Some odd light. At least I've got some. Girl, yes. Let's talk about it. I had a different trailer queued up, but we won't wait to talk about dying light. I will bring that up right now. It's okay. Let's talk about this little game called dying light. So this game is coming out February 4th, so it's like right around the corner. This trailer, and it was just a cinematic trailer. And I think we're at the point now where we really don't need to see much more about dying light. I'm sure there's gonna be some final push for marketing, of course there is. But I think for me, I think I'm at the point Andrea where I have seen all I really need to see at this point. I don't want to know anymore. But just from a trailer perspective, again, don't get too hyped over trailers because how did that never dead island that one? Oh my God. Yes. Which is so on point for this because that also is tech lands game. And as you're watching this trailer, it's a very sad somber one. And it essentially is just depicting people trying to survive one of them one party has to essentially kill off the other party to survive ends up dying anyway. But at the very end, there's this kind of slow zoom on one of the characters eyeballs. And if you remember the dead island trailer, that's how that one kind of starts off as, right? Or ends on. And so I just thought it was an interesting little ode to that trailer itself and kind of just shows how far tackling has come as a developer. And it's a really, really talented team, and I'm just excited to see, obviously, this game is one of my most anticipated, but I'm excited to see them do more work and see what else they can do because I think there's just a lot of potential there and a lot of talent there. And it's just hard to believe it's actually coming out in a couple of months, even though I feel like it was supposed to come out 15 years ago. Yes, this game feels like we've been talking about it for, ever, many, many years, but they have put out no shortage of developer diaries and behind the scenes looks and in gameplay deep dives on their YouTube channel, lots of press coming out with this game. We talked about how it's officially gold now. So it's definitely coming February 4th, of course, is the release date as we just saw there. And I'm with you. I'm excited. And I think having Rosario Dawson as a character in the game, I think it's going to be really fun and I never thought I would be really interested in what Diane's doing and this game after I saw a really thorough gameplay deep dive at E three. I'm like, okay. Yeah. I don't want to talk about literally everything that came out because there's just so much show. Yes. It was big, but I have to. I have to talk about dune coming back, baby. Shit, that's right. I've said on this show, multiple times that one of my favorite old school PC RTS games of your is due to the strategy game. I lived on that game when I was a kid and I just squeezed. So loud when this was announced I think my expectations are low because I haven't played a proper RTS in a while and quite honestly that game is so old at this point. It's like 20 plus years old. But I was like, yes, I love that they're doing this. I love that they're bringing this back. It was one of my favorite RTS's. I think it's a great time to bring it back with people talking about the movie with part two of the movie coming out next year. I'm like, yes, let's go. Is this the game that gets me back into RTS? Dune spice wars? I like how it's called spice wars. Is that like what's the relevance of spice wars? Are we fighting over so let me open. Okay, you don't have to answer. So if you can see the look of the children, let me tell you, talk to you about a walk through.

"Rosario dawson and zoe belle to ground you in that second group of people quickly because they are very likable very funny characters and like you. You like them you do. I just think that gosh. I don't know i think that i would still liked to see. I think something similar almost to like how far he went to get what he wanted. From the first. Kill for these for these people it felt almost like a like he had gotten the first one in. That was the greatest he was ever gonna get in. This one was just going to be like a cheap comparison in the long haul so he had to like rush the in game in order to feel at high again Well and i think what also complicates some of the opinion that even is an audience member have in the in the second killing is that he ultimately pulls up at the end and isn't gonna do it. No yeah he's right man he's like. Yeah that was that was great and it seems like unless that was supposed to be a fake out on his part and he was actually gonna come back and do it anyway. It almost seems like he was actually going to back out. Because these women had proven to. I guess be like more fun than the adversary. Honestly though the first kill he you know he goes at the full force. They hate each other head on. And that is it. You know you get to see the the horrible aftermath of this this accident from each perspective of the women in the car when it happens but like this other time i think that yeah. I think that you might be right with him. Being like that was that was a blast. You know getting to hit that high with a group of people of like minded individuals. The only thing is did completely backfires for him when she shoots him. Yes and that's when it completely turns around. Oh yeah are actually. I think that. That's i think..

"Why did not go in. That direction is beyond me is beyond me. I felt that the best opportunity to do something like that was last week but no instead. We've got rosario dawson. We got rosario dawson. That's essentially playing the role of brand and for me the formula look. I'm not saying it in a way where it's like. This is how you need book your show. I'm not saying that. So take it like dat whether it's just the most easiest blueprint that's out there as far as trying to get super mad heat on somebody and trying to give fans a reason why they should actually be in the corner of their boy. Cody rhodes and the fact. Though i think honestly part of the blame is how this was laid out and the second part of it is the fact that cody has unfortunately gotten to a point with the fans where yeah nod dude. You're super baby. Face here i come to save the day. We're we're not really feeling it right now. Now where we're not feeling it. Is it safe to say that. Maybe some of the fans are maybe looking. at cody. rhodes as super sina. Is it almost kind of safe to say. There may be looking at him and that kind of limelight and as a result of that when it comes to a w. or slash wrestling fans favorite stars in a w right now and in this case malachi black nano. No no no. No no no no. This is a bona fide. Awesome thing that we got going on here. Super cody. Keep your shit. Whatever you got you. We don't want underway. Keep it away from malachi black. So what do you do right here. what do you do here. Because malachi black has essentially owned cody and all of their encounters. So what do you do right here going forward because it was very obvious here that malachi black he is over with the fans they are eat initiative up and i gotta remind e w once again please malachi black comes out.

Priesthood rape kids onto new parishes. Anyway bartolo took the name rosario because he was very into the rosary when he joined the dominican order making him the third most famous. Rosario in history after rosario dawson. The actress loved her top five looking forward to seeing her and clerks three and rosario gambino of the gambino crime family. You may be wondering why. I know so much about this guy then why i am bothering you with us this morning. Well bartolo is the patron saint of the anxious and the depressed. So if the mets aren't working you can try praying to bartolo longo. That's how it works for us. Catholics god does hear our prayers. But god is a busy guy and so you have to ingratiate yourself with saints in hopes that they will intercede for you with god put in a good word about you with god and then your prayers will be answered. It works every time except for all the times. It doesn't work which is most of the time. But that's not one bothering you at this and it doesn't work. Please don't go off your meds and start praying to bartolo longo. Don't do that. I know about this guy. Because of the date he joined the dominicans and changed his name to rosario the date he took vows and took holy orders. October seventh nineteen eighty-one ninety eight years later on october. Seventh nineteen sixty four. I was born in a catholic hospital on the north side of chicago coincidence. Not according to marry not according to the person who has been blowing up my inbox with emails about bartolo longo for fifteen years according to my pen pal mary who maybe a listener this october. Seventh business is not a coincidence. Bartolo taking holy orders. On the same day i was born a century later. It is a sign. A sign from. God that i am destined to return to the catholic faith assign that i will one day divorce. My husband or announced my sin. Put down the dick and live a life like bartolo dead. Another event of world historical proportions had happened on october seventh in one thousand nine hundred two on october. Seven cats opened on broadway. So my thing for lycra catsuits and but plugs with tales coincidence or dame by god anyway i was thinking about berthollet. Rosario longer this weekend the catholic saying to her announced satanism after reading about Novell goma the catholic bishop who left the priesthood to run off with a satanist in barcelona about that's a bit of an overstatement goma resigned to live in sin to cohabitate with a lady shrink who writes erotica with satanic. Themes just divorced. They're living together. They aren't married. he's blowing loads. She's cranking out dirty devil novels but wasn't just any catholic bishop. He was a high profile supporter of conversion therapy for gays and performed exorcisms to drive out those gay demons because the devil is real and demons are real but gay people are picking it so i wrote to my friend mary on sunday just to let her know that we've even score. You got bartolo. Rosario longo we got bishop xavier goma per now you could return to the fold returned faith but at the moment the former bishop is looking for a job in barcelona as an agronomist. Which a whole hell of a lot more useful to society that an exorcist also world is on fire democracy is in peril. People are losing their minds. Please do what makes you happy. Be a dominican fine with me water runoff with a woman who writes satanic pornography. Sounds good so long as what makes you. Happy isn't setting fires attacking democracy or blowing up at people in airplanes in supermarkets. Have at all right coming up..

They their secrecy. And that which is can sometimes be soft but of course when it's costing you do one of will not come through the official channels. I mean what what. I'm getting from this as rosario dawson coin but also That's all it. Yeah i think this is true. They'll probably come on. We decided why do we do on our excitable It gives us something to talk about so carrio all that's it. That's it too. And i do think that good costings And i think when when you really do look laws mickelson and even if you look at these guys and you compare light them to ezra and in israel and you see it. I see it i go yeah i think that i think actually that makes no sense and i tell you what though my i'll have said this before. They gotta get that. Ezra thing riot they have to get that thing right because most of the people that are going to watch this show haven't heard of ezra who as bridgier is now. These are the same people that might demand delorean. So i'm i'm really hopeful that they will explain this in to the best of their ability and that won't get at. The store was could get weird of just gonna do not. I mean like it could get quite wits. "Holiday special isn't going to be anything to ignore. just brush off. James gunn has specifically come out and said that it's going to be a must watch before guardians of the galaxy volume. Three comes So in case you didn't know the holiday special is coming before volumes. Three happens in his released in theaters. And it's gonna be some kind of a big deal because not only is it cannon but you're gonna learn stuff that you need to before that sequel comes out gun didn't really get a specific list. For what would be happening or the kind of details near that will carry over simply because guards galaxy volume three is still pretty far out Asset for release on may fifth twenty twenty three. So there's a lot of time to pass between now and then and other things are probably going to happen in marvel cinematic universe between now and then so there you go. This is kinda surprising. Because i feel like most holiday specials like people think of What maybe star wars holiday special or any of those There was a toy story. The there's been a kung fu panda there was I guess the charlie brown purchase are those holiday specials made for sure yesterday. Christmas and thanksgiving in a bunch of other ones. Don't forget the flintstones and christmas special. that's a big one. come on. never forget that one standard either. But i'm just saying like most of those are like so self contained and have no reprecussions on the franchises a horrible. It's marvel so brad. I mean you follow this closely as any of us like how do you think i mean. Obviously it's gonna show the of groot right. I'm sure we'll get christmas. Groot like what he's walking. He's not. He's not a fucking christmas tree in the holiday special. Someone's getting fire like in. What ways can have major implications story that you would need to see this before. You watch gardens galaxy volume three. I guess it does is it gonna. Is it going to clarify what happened to thors with them. That right yeah. I mean we know the gardens to your appearing in for love and thunder so It's possible i but but thirty seven thunder comes out next year. Doesn't it so he'll still be with them. What you're saying probably i. I suppose it's possible. But like i mean for me. I think what it is like the garden galaxy holiday special obviously take us from the star wars holiday special. James gunn is a fan of it on. Ironically he actually enjoys it. But i think what this will be this will be like a hybrid of like what the stars holiday special was trying to be and then also like a legitimate guardians of the galaxy story. That just happens to take place during some kind of holiday. Whether it's peter quilt. Trying to celebrate christmas. You know Still keeping up earth traditions. Or if there's some kind of cosmic holiday that you know Drax celebrates or something like that. Maybe they all tried to celebrate their own holidays But like all needs their own life. Day brad ryan so i feel like it'll be it'll be legitimate story. It still happens to take place around the time of of some kind of holiday and so they'll be things that we learned about the characters or like something that's introduced that will probably carry over into the guard next guardians of the galaxy movie. Yeah and speaking of that movie gardens galaxy volume three is set to film this november. We wrote an article about this. And james is basically said that this film the script has been finished for like three years now. He's tinkered with it but it's basically been the same so don't expect too many changes it was done before. He was fired by a disney and then so he said that he's changed a few things here and there. And i messed around with little details but otherwise like it's it's been pretty much finished for a while. I don't know anything about volume three by. I have talked to a couple who have read that script in every single. One of them said they cried. So so there's that Let's move on from the marvel galaxy to the starrewards galaxy. Let's talk about the upcoming soka series. There is a social media posts from star zara. Dawson which confirms doesn't confirm that live action casting of some some characters from the animated series bed. Tell us about this. Yes oh this one is a little bit of a mess. So there are these characters For people out there like me who have not seen any of the star wars animated shows that have come out recently. You may not be familiar. But these characters edge bridgier and grand admiral throng are two of the main Very important characters in star wars rebels. And rosario dawson. She played the live action. Iteration of a tunnel on the lawrence. She's gonna be starring in her own spinoff show very soon and she shared a i guess. She re shared somebody else's Post in her instagram stories. And this person shared okay. Peter saving. Follow me on this right. This person shared this random person shared a like a meam that originated that basically says that meena sewed the guy who played aladdin in the live action. Aladdin movie that came out a couple of years ago lars mikkelsen who provides the voice for thrown have been cast in this live action. Asaka show so this random person says this on the internet and says like oh. This is great. I'm looking forward to seeing the show. Basically i can't wait to see. Rosario dawson immediate massad like share the screen together essentially regarded often sees this in her mentions s and then shares this re shares. This image so confirms that those two people have been cast as the air there. The animated characters in this live action tv series. Right i mean maybe but but she didn't actually add any of her own words to this and she. Also i think i mean it. It seems to me that she deleted that instagram story that she shared so there are two the way i see a to potential options here so as the lead of the upcoming asaka show one could guess that. Hey maybe the lead of the show has some inside track on. What's going on with the casting news. Maybe the people involved the producers of the show come to her. Ask her about the show. May you know the casting made. she's done. Chemistry reads some of these people. Like that So maybe she saw this post assumed that the news was like out there fit in in an official capacity and just shared it. Because she is excited about working with these guys. Or maybe she just got duped or like is excited about the possibility of maybe working with these guys. I mean there's so many different ways this could go The fact that she deleted it could be like disney yelling at her. Hey take us down. We're not ready to officially announce this yet. It could also be her realizing. Oh i shared this thing. That i that is factually inaccurate. I should take it down. Four other people assume that i'm living lending credence to this You know false story so there's a lot going on here so you've saying the fact that she shared this and the fact that she deleted it could either mean that she did or she didn't have information on this which means that we know nothing yes. That's exactly right. I mean..

"Sure that this enough is enough. Message Become something that is talked about in the mainstream media and we have to also put pressure on these organisations engage. Our legislators and others to say enough is enough. The accountability is going to come. If we get the help from everybody listening on this show make sure that we raise our voices and make sure that this doesn't remain a hidden figures story. We know the story a hidden figures. Everyone's like mike goodness there were a couple of black women that helped us get to the moon. Might lord while you know for the environmental movement writ large leaders like mia and others are working figures. Now there are a lot of sort of keep places and government has orders to hold them accountable and you can kick government in out. You gotta fight for it. But he can write at times. Even if it's imperfect there are other mechanisms. That hold others accountable. Philanthropy is not accountable in has to be held to account. And it's gonna take Every ounce of organizing and celebrity and other things that we have to make this a very public issue and some of it is changing again. We're talking about speed and scale right so on our website for instance with the climate donors. Color dot org. If you want a two minute summary that you can share with your friends to make this make folks more aware Rosario dawson who was a connection through one of the color narrated the two minute video right. We've got a lot of press across the country and more to come. We are profiling movement leaders. No one can say. Oh where are they. You know if i had to write this pick checker somehow. Can't find them. We have the most current lists of phd's across the country that work on climate justice. But for those that listening if you are in a position where you know for instance Journalisten key places If you happen to you know. I know revie run with a you. Know you have some celebrities in your network of narrow others wanna join Dario in helping bring attention to this and helping a host something We are doing everything we can to say loud and clear enough is enough because what allows the foundations and others to get away with this often is the fact that they can try to keep the story quiet so frankly a lot of the foundations. We suspect who took our call were nice and polite. Many of them said one point three percent. I actually didn't realize some of them didn't and now we're saying great now that you realize what you do and they said well we need to look count. The numbers really carefully. It's going to take us months etcetera. And they might be just waiting us out. They're gonna have to wait a long time. So we have to all collectively leverage everything that we can bring To say enough is enough. Because here's what these foundations care about their urge. They really want to be seen as the good guys. Doing the right thing and the movie we can make it clear that this is wrong and immoral not strategic lia the things that mia said and you actually have to get rigorous about change and inviting movement leaders to give you advice on what you do and how you do it and correcting this disparity Things will shift million. I just really have time for two more questions. And so danny i want to start with you. Piggyback on what you just said and then a loud meter bring his home here Folks want to support the donors donors with color right And they want to support this process. You're right. I believe you are and what you're doing and and others that this is a solution. I from believes that to stop what has been happening to really build a level playing field that we need a strong donor colored network to be honest I also feel that those in the foundation world need to give you need to do a little bit of some giving you some money directly So that that. I think that too many times that a lot of the groups compete with the groups and so they need to see like listen. That are giving this one hundred million or fifty million or three hundred million whatever may be. We're going to give those color. You know twenty million and forty million each one so adds up that you become one of the biggest portfolios How do we get there. How do i want is see. I want to see that happen. I i want you to have the celebrity push What's the next step for you to get to that point. So that donors color is one of the largest branches for our community But also and i just question earlier. And i'm assuming because on the show is climate do because fund only climate actually and we found other things. I'll i'll liberation for our people. So how do we get you there to be the most when the largest entities to front and funding for our people and then what else do you fund besides climate particularly in in liberation for our people. And so i let me say get the resources to mia on. The movement leader is directly not the doing of color per se. But if you have enough to spread a great one of the things. We highlight on. The website are about ten or fifteen of the most influential show networks around the country. They're just a window into networks that have many members. And so that if you're listening and you're the type that you're on the board of a foundation. Ask them hey. Are you funding any of these influential organizations. And are you taking this. Pledge right because if all the funders if even half the funders do most of what we want we drive a hundred million dollars more at least and potentially billions in the next few years to organizations like me as had delivering the highest return on investment for your environmental dollar This point rates amazing. What they get done With a fraction of the resources that others get done So so those leaders in terms of the donors of colored network. I am a consultant and advisor to the network. Not the type of person that can right. You know extolling two thousand dollars a year to various causes but if that fits your description. Danielle donors have colored dot. Org daniele Dot org or go online there's contact us button because The donors joined the donors of color. And what it brings is a community of folks that strategizing together with leaders like a mea and and other. Here's how they're.

I don't know what it is about that. Maybe it's maybe it's diego luna and maybe it's his charismatic performance that makes me intrigue same way that i'm intrigued with kenobi because of you interview and then also as we have both asserted or at least at i'm chiming in and agreeing with you. Rosario dawson as a so catano. I'm in that was that was one of the few second season episodes of the Mandatory that i watched and so and it was a was to see her interpretation. And i'm i enjoy seeing a so catano played by rosario dawson being nada. I it's great. And so i am looking to the storytelling seeing how they're moving forward the only complaint and the complaint that i always have is that star. Wars is never moving forward. It's always prequels. It's what's happening in the past. But then again i'm whiny baby. Who is complaining about something that starts off every time by saying a long time ago. So they're all prequels there.
