"The Bahamas. It's projected to first hit Florida this evening into tomorrow, with wind gusting to 85 miles per hour and then move up the Eastern Seaboard. Florida governor Rhonda Santa says his state is in line for federal disaster help if it needs to send a letter to President Trump requesting federal disaster declaration. We just got word this morning that that has been approved. Evacuation orders are tricky, of course in a pandemic as Florida still trying to keep people at home as much as possible. Correspondent Rosa Rosa Flores explain what the American Red Cross tells us is that they are requiring for evacuation shelters to have 60 square feet per person in order for them to have proper social distancing for the people evacuating Miami Dade County says that they're going to be having about 40 square feet. And depending on where the storm decides to go. Next, New York and New Jersey could be in its path for more on that. Let's hear from 10 10 wins. AKI Weather meteorologist John Feerick was keeping an eye on it and joins us live. Yet right now, Sonia, we've got CCS, about 40 miles to the southwest of Nassau, The Bahamas. It's going to start to batter Florida this afternoon and tonight, move right up the east coast of Florida and then turned Maura North northeastward and head. Right up the Eastern seaboard. It looks like it will impact our area on Tuesday. We'll see rain, strong winds and certainly the strongest the wind. The heaviest of the rain will be right along the coast. But the amount of that will depend on the exact track, which is still a little bit up in the air. But still there could be dust, certainly along the coast 40 to 50 miles per hour, perhaps maybe even a little bit higher. Rough serve coastal flooding. Beach erosion also will be a concern. "Like. It's there's so many different substances that they have to test test for. That is often not conclusive and not very helpful. This despite the fact that she says they also told her someone had been dragged at the same establishment. Just a a week prior. I mean in a hospital. Obviously you trust medical professionals I and and if they if they tell you something isn't worth it or if they don't do something thing often especially if you're under the influence of substance you're probably not going to question it so she didn't question it. They took care of her they sent her home are starting to the AIRBNB. She woke up a few hours later. Still felt absolutely terrible. Went Back to the hospital and her third hospital visit was actually back home so she went to see her family doctor a few days. He's later he sent her to the hospital again and she said that the medical professionals they are very frustrated that she hadn't been tested because by then it was too late to test her and and while once again when I when I spoke to the to the doctor who who explained the effects of these drugs I understand that there's a lot of substances that when contest for and that can make it difficult for hospital professionals but it I can also understand the frustration from from other medical professionals professionals. Sorry at not knowing what she had been drugged with. I think it was some kind of Paralympic which is why the effects were much more on her body on her muscles as opposed to her brain. But she'll she'll never know and the other striking part of what you just said. Is that the hospital stabs. Oh yes there's been another one from this particular place so what happens after hospital staff make that connection is this establishment on the radar of the police and Halifax what happens. Once it becomes. Clear the pattern. Well this is actually come up before in Halifax Oh Fox Specifically so there were a number I in two thousand eighteen or late two thousand eighteen. There were a number of public cases of drink spiking in Halifax at various clubs. I I to the point where you know. There's a little bit of a public outcry of the Canadian Press did a freedom of information request to find out whether there was data on this and that's when they found found out that Halifax hospitals weren't tracking drink tampering or sorry health ex-police weren't weren't tracking drink tampering because they said that the statistics a report of drink. Tampering didn't warrants putting in the effort to track that data. There was obviously I after that request. There was a bit of a public outcry especially from victims and so the Association of police chiefs in Nova Scotia agreed to look into it but the biggest thing that they did at that time was is to call for people to report it so they said because the data in terms of how many people had actually reported it was so small. They didn't have an idea of the scale of it. And the more people who came forward to report it the more clear become of how big of an issue it was and that could lead to better data gathering so about a year later Joseph follows that procedure and reports. It and they don't test her cracks. She has filed a police report. I checked up with her yesterday. And she said she she She's assured within an investigation is ongoing. But she hasn't heard anything yet. Do we have any numbers or even any comment from the police in Halifax sort of what they saw in that year after they vowed to do better Unfortunately not no. This is something that takes time and I and I think that what they said about it. Being important for people to report is very telling about about vote like the the fact that I think they believe it's a bigger issue than the numbers show but the unfortunate fact is if we don't know when people have been drugged we have no way of knowing knowing how big of an issue is data-gathering it's this is something that that can take a little bit of time to build up so unfortunately we don't have an idea of that just yet But I am hoping hoping that the prevalence of people coming forward and saying this has happened to me. I mean obviously shows as video went viral Those very public cases in two thousand eighteen eighteen were very widely read about. And hopefully that'll buy you know make it easier for people to come forward and talk about it and then in a few years we might have a better idea of the problem in in the meantime when you talk to experts on this. What do they recommend that people do? Because you know this is not a new issue and it seems kind of crappy to me that you know a decade later more than a decade later the best advice we still have his leg. Hey Watch your drink be careful. Well what are the things that really struck me and you know it's it's hard to find a positive and a story like this but the one positive I did find was when I spoke to Angela. The Toronto Woman Who's also who stories later on in my article. She spoke talk to me about an incident that happened to her in two thousand one and aside from a few of her friends and family members she had told no one about that because she said that she really felt ashamed and in fact her boyfriend at the time his first reaction was. You should have been more careful. She felt ashamed. And then you know here we are are almost twenty years later. She's going on the record with a national newspaper saying what happens. I asked her. What drove you to to to reach out and to say I'm willing to talk about this. And she said that she felt like society has changed enough that she no longer feels as a shamed. She's done some work herself and realized that it wasn't her fall and she does feel like especially this get set a lot. But I you know. In the in the METOO era and the era of people coming forward and talking about instances instances of being taken advantage of instances of of sexual assault. She felt like she was going to be believed and she didn't have anything to be ashamed about so that that was a big positive for for me. It's why ended with Angeles Story and I think that that that you know one of the things we can do other than just telling people to watch their drink or not drink too much or or something like that. which which puts the onus on the potential victim? It's to believe people if they see something is wrong. Believe them if you're out with your friend and your friend has had two or three drinks. Yes and they're stumbling all over the place or they're vomiting or they're not acting in a way that's consistent with how much they've had to drink even if they don't realize it you need to do something because it's it's better safe than sorry. You never know what's going to happen. The most important thing is if someone is clearly under the influence of something that is stronger than they are You get them out of there you you take them to the hospital. You make sure they don't go home alone. The onus is is to be you know to take care of other people and I think that's what it does is friends did right. She started vomiting. It only had a few drinks. They knew something was wrong. They got back to the AIRBNB and she couldn't walk and they knew that this was more than just alcohol right and it's very important written to to believe people and to watch out for each other. I did speak to a few other people who didn't make it into the story. And they said that the way that felt to them was essentially they'd had one or two drinks six and it felt like they'd had way more. I think that's a big warning signal for people. All of these drugs affect people differently but the most common sign is acting and I'm feeling way more drunk than is warranted given the amount of alcohol you've had and so I think that I'd like to put the onus on other people not on the victim but on On their friends on the medical professionals on on the police to just just believe them and test them and make sure that they're okay because it's always better safe than sorry and it's also never their faults and finally I guess what about on a more macro level. I know we mentioned not much is being done. But there are sort of small initiatives in Halifax and elsewhere what would health professionals and people who deal with this lake to see and is there any push for that anywhere once again. It's it's difficult because of the range of drugs that can be used and and as as Dr Year Raimo pointed out. It's a very good point. The most common so called date rape drug is alcohol itself self. So it's hard. It's kind of hard to to call for a change when the changer calling for is for people to stop plying women or vulnerable honorable people with alcohol and drugs. I do think that there's obviously been a push for more data collection. I think that if more people are tested when they come in for suspected drugging as well as just reporting it. That's that's all that's going to a you know. Give us a better idea of the scale of the problem I wish I wish I had more to say on that. I know that you know I. I see a lot of I see a story every every year or so but some new technology. That's going to help women test and see if they're drink. Rank has been has been drugged and it's unfortunate that that kind of technology is going forward and is being is being created every year but we still don't have of an idea of what's going on but at the same time hopefully the more. Hopefully the more stories like this that that are public the more people will be aware of it. I know why right once again Angela. Who is spokesman for this article? said that this actually almost happened to her a second time but another man at the bar saw someone tried to spike her drink and warned winter. That's what we want to see right like we want. We want people to be more vigilant. We want people to notice when this is happening. Believe someone when they believe it's happened to them and hopefully just move forward. If Angela says that in almost twenty years time she feels more comfortable sharing this. I hope that in twenty years. We've he's moved forward just as much if not more hope so too thanks. "In September nineteen forty four thirty one year old N. w. c. p. activist Rosa Parks met met with rape survivor rec- Taylor in Abbeville Alabama local police tried to stem roses advocacy attempting to intimidate and even threaten in her into letting receives case disappear the moment she was back in Montgomery Rosa returned to the end of Lacey Pe- office and explained the encounter counter to their President Edgar Nixon in response to the police's tactics. Rosa and Nixon founded the committee for equal justice for the rights of Mrs Mrs Resea- Taylor as subgroup of the N. double. ACP This committee was comprised of a dozen leading black activists that were dedicated to making taking Taylor story public knowledge. They sent dozens of letters to the office of Alabama Governor Chauncey sparks urging him take the case to trial in one letter Rosa wrote. I know that you will not fail to let the people of Alabama know that there is aqel justice for all citizens roses efforts paid off and the incident was picked up by local newspapers then by press around the nation by February of nineteen forty five Alabama. Governor sparks was forced to take action. He reluctantly agreed to launch a second can special grand jury investigation into the crime but the special jury ultimately brought no charges against the accused rapists. Rosa was furious all her efforts had stirred up public support an outrage but Taylor still couldn't secure justice one by one. The frustrations of dealing with inequality on a daily basis started to build up a year earlier. Rosa Rosa had had a memorable encounter of her own. The Montgomery bus system was becoming a lightning rod for political controversy in part because of the extreme lengths they went to in the name of segregation for example bus tickets could only be purchased at the front of the vehicle meaning meaning all riders had to use the front doors to buy their ticket but Montgomery buses also had segregated entrances one for white people at the front and and another for black passengers at the back when a black person wanted to take the bus she'd have to board at the front purchaser ticket then and leave and re board through the back doors. The ridiculous policy served no practical purpose. It was only there to embarrass an inconvenience black black riders on a rainy day in nineteen forty-three. Rosa boarded a public bus in downtown. Montgomery reluctant to go back out into the rain mm-hmm. She instead walked directly back to a seat without exiting and re entering through the back door. The driver James F Blake was is infuriated. He ordered Rosa to exit and re enter through her designated entrance twice. Rosa refused so oh blake grab. Rosa dragged her outside and threw out into the rain before she had a chance to process what had happened. The bus pulled away a stranding her. The whole ordeal was incredibly traumatizing for Rosa in her autobiography she wrote. I never wanted wanted to be on that man's bus again after that. I made a point of looking at who was driving the bus before I got on. I didn't want any more run. INS is with that mean. One Rosa wasn't the only person who is sick and tired of discrimination on the buses in nineteen fifty five fifteen year old girl named Claudette Colvin was riding the bus home from Booker T. Washington high school in Montgomery. The bus was was crowded that day and cove and was asked to stand so a white woman could take her seat. Kovin refused the bus driver ordered cove and and to get up but Kovin held her ground this escalated to the point that the police were called and Coleman was arrested at at that time Montgomery had several contradictory laws regarding segregation a symptom of the push and pull between civil rights activists and the racist cyst establishment so one law not only permitted but required the bus driver to have cloven arrested while another protected cove ines right it to any seat. She wanted the N. double. ACP had long been looking for an opportunity to challenge the pro segregation laws and have them formally formerly overturned in Co.. WTN's arrests seemed like a perfect opportunity to bring Jim Crow all the way before the Supreme Court however the Organization soon learned that the teenage Kovin was pregnant out of wedlock. This should have had nothing to do with her case but at the end of the Lacey Pe- feared that juries would be less sympathetic to an unmarried mother with stakes so high they didn't WanNa take any chances chances the organization raised funds for coal WTN's defense but chose not to try to make her the new face of racial inequality. They'd have to wait for the next arrest nine months later on December first nineteen fifty five forty two year old Rosa parks boarded Ed bus number two eight five seven. It was about six. PM and she was on her way home from work at the Montgomery Fair Department Store. She paid her affair and sat down in an empty seat in the back section. She wasn't paying much attention as she boarded and didn't notice that the driver was was James F Blake the same driver who'd kicked her off the bus the previous year for not using the back door for the next three stops the bus traveled along its normal route more passengers got on and the bus slowly filled up by the time the the bus reached its third stop outside the Empire Theater. The whites only section at the front of the bus was over capacity. There was no seat for one. The white passengers in the front so blake stopped the bus and told the first row of black passengers to stand up so he could make a new row for the white writers. He said Y'all better make it light on yourself and let me have those seats. Rosa hadn't planned to make a stand that day but for whatever reason something snapped she later explained. I was not tired physically no more tired than I usually was. At the end of a working day how old I was forty two. No the only tired I was tired of giving in the rear of the black passengers stood up up Rosa didn't she later wrote when that white driver stepped back toward us when he waved his hand and ordered us up and out of our seats. I I felt a determination cover. My Body like a quilt on a winter night. Rosa remained in her seat staring at the driver. Offer Blake squinted back at her. He asked her again. Why don't you stand up. She replied. I don't think I should have to stand up then. She moved to the window seat. Further away from the Isle Lake asked her again if she was going to stand up Rosa again refused blake threatened to call the police. Rosa responded you do that so blake aac place the call while they waited. Roseau remained firmly planted in her seat. She tried to ignore the judgmental glares from the other. The riders assured that she was in the right eventually. Two policemen arrived at the scene. Blake explained the situation and Rosa was was charged with violating chapter six section eleven the Montgomery City code which enforce the segregation of public buses. They took her off the bus and drove her downtown to police headquarters along the way. She asked one of the policemen. Why do you push us around around. The officers. Response was simply. I don't know but the law's the law and your under arrest. Rosa was allowed one call at the station which he made to her husband Raymond. She told him that she had been given even a court date on December. Fifth Raymond was worried but he was also proud of his wife from making stand he promised her he would find the bail money to get her out of jail soon N. double. ACP Chapter President Edgar Nixon arrived the same night Rosa was sent to jail AOL Edgar paid her bail and had her released by then word of Rosa Parks arrest had spread to most of Alabama's black population. Rosa was an upstanding member of the community in many were astounded that she of all people would be arrested for such a minor offence offense. Edgar saw this anger in his community as an opportunity to get people mobilized later that night he visited the parks home and explained a plan to Rosa she could be the face of a new activist movement and as Rosa listened to Edgar's pitch. She felt hope spring in her chest. She was about to spark the historic. Montgomery bus boycott up next. We'll hear how roses work transformed the civil rights movement now back to the story. The black community in Montgomery Alabama was outraged following Rosa parks arrest on December first nineteen fifty five the N. double A. C. P. wanted to capitalize on roses case raising awareness as they tried to overturn Montgomery's segregation.

"Newest track will come out within the hour. What do you expect to see. We may see a change in that track. We've had new model runs. Come mouth for both the american model and the european model and both of them showing changes which may in turn result in an official track change from the national hurricane center but here's what we know now hurricane during wins or one hundred fifteen miles per hour that officially makes it a major hurricane. The movement is still to the northwest at about ten miles per hour. We're going to have to focus on that direction and that speed over the next forty eight to seventy two hours because that is going to answer to various essential questions the where it makes landfall and the when does it make landfall but here's a look at what we expect the track to do as of now. We still anticipate additional strengthening up to a category four storm. Unfortunately it will likely be that strength as it crosses over the bahamas and we still expected to be a major hurricane when it makes landfall across some point in florida then the question because becomes when does it turn back to the north these this is where the different models vary one going a little bit further west one going a little bit further east. Here's a look look. This blue dot is the european model. The red dot is the american model. The rent out wants to make a landfall likely late monday night into very early tuesday morning near kind kind of this central portion of florida then it pushes a little further inland before finally going off to the north the european model the new run really just skirts along on the coast and they both end up towards georgia as well as into the carolinas alison. Thank you so much for that. I want to get straight to florida to c._n._n.'s rosa rosa flores who is in west palm beach and rosa. The governor says fuel shortages have become a problem. You're seeing that first hand. Is there a plan that you've heard about to get more gas to these stations. That is the plan. Let me show you around because i'm at a gas station right now. The does have you and you can see that the line <hes> curls around this light from talking to people here. They say that they have been driving around trying to find gas stations. That actually have gas. This is one of the few in the area that actually does but if you take a look here some of the pumps do have gas others do not the owner of this gas gas station says that his family owns four gas stations. Only this one has gas at the moment now. Here's the thing because there is a state of emergency for all all sixty seven counties that waives the rules that allows the fuel of <hes> the the flow of fuel to come into the state that of course is is it because governor rhonda's santa's issued that declaration now. Here's the other thing danna we've learned from the governor's office that florida highway patrolman goldman will be escorting refueling trucks to strategic in critical areas in florida again because they're already reported shortages and dorian hasn't even made landfall but again a lot of people here waiting in line looking for <hes> fuel stations that actually have fuel will to make sure that they can be prepared for potential evacuation and rose a real quick. Have you encountered or heard about any reports of price gouging. Yes indeed the attorney general of the state of florida telling c._n._n. Just moments ago that they have received at least one thousand calls of price gouging most of those fuel and water in fact the owner of this gas station telling us that he was one of those individuals who reported a price gouging of water so we're going to continue monitoring and and seeing if those numbers will increase but according to the general's office is against against state law to price gouge because there is that <hes> evacuation <hes> excuse me that that state of emergency in the state of florida donna rosa thank you so much for that report now. C._n._n.'s leyla santiago is in north miami. Were supplies are flying off the shelves elves in leyla what's going. Is it a mad rush or do people feel like they have the weekend now to stop. We've actually seen a little bit of boll. Oh some some moments where they're really peaking folks coming in and then a little bit like now where you're seeing a calm down <hes> we are in the section right now. We're this was made last night right because of the hurricane a section for supplies. You've got batteries and got a power bank to charge your phone. Of course you need candles. They also have <hes> extension cords presumably leaper generators that could be used should power come out and then take a look over here where you can see. This is a popular item. The land turns. This layer is just about i've gone. They've got some more down here and i can see these folks are looking at the price <hes> getting ready <hes> fifteen bucks. She mentioned to to have that lantern and be ready for hurricane gene dorian. Go right ahead man <hes> so you know one of the things that folks are also looking for water. We were here when a truckload came in. I lasted. Maybe about an hour. I four they ran out. <hes> and folks are making sure that they have those basic supplies to get through <hes> government. Officials are recommending recommending at least seven days. <hes> should should power be out. Should resources be limited after dorian. Donna sounds like people are heating that an <music> our <hes>. That's all that whole truckload of water lasted. That's that's pretty incredible. <hes> thank you leyla for that report and want to get now to c._n._n.'s diane gallagher who is in central florida at the orlando airport diane. This is one of the busiest airports in the country from what you're seeing. They prepared <hes> donna. I would say that they were extremely prepared right now and the truth is is that the effective dory and hasn't quite hit this airport you can take a look here and see there have been expectations chins that you're going to have delayed canceled flights. That hasn't kicked in just yet. What you're seeing over here is all the lines of people who are starting to try and fly out though we have talked to people people who have cut their vacations short people. Were trying to get back. They didn't want to risk the fact. If the hurricane came in early and so here at the airport i sat in on a meeting actually just beyond on those stores there were they sat with airlines. They talked with noah. They talked with the f._a._a. "rosa rosa" Discussed on Piecing It Together Podcast

"Right welcome to another episode of piecing it together the podcast where we take a look at a new movie and try to figure out what movies inspired i heard it and today we are looking at a film that was shot here in my home state of nevada. It's called the mustang from director. Lauren lauren de clermont to neera. I'm going to butcher a lot of names on this episode but are going to do my best. <hes> a name i won't butcher though is the name of our guest rosa rosa from roses reviews. Her first time on the show had a great time talking with her but <hes> yeah the mustang. It's a movie about a prisoner who gets a chance to deal with his rage issues by being a part of a new program where prisoners get get to train horses and i it's. It's a very interesting film very beautiful film <hes> and it's it's incredibly well done and i really wanted to cover even though it came out earlier this year. It's been out for a little while now. Normally i would have said oh. We missed it. We're not going to really get around to it but i wanted ended a cover it because we shot here in nevada and it really showcases just how beautiful nevada looks and it's something i really wanted to get around to and so i was really glad when dan <hes> rosa was out there and she had said that this is one of her favorite movies of the year we were talking on twitter and i was like hey it looks like maybe we're going to get a chance to cover the mustang staying and we did it so let's get into this conversation about the mustang but before we do i want to remind you. Please make sure you are subscribed appeasing together on your podcast app of choice and of course you can always rate and review us an apple podcasts follow us on social media at piecing pod and join the facebook group popcorn amp puzzle pieces as we continue the conversation about all these movies so let's get into this conversation about the mustang which is available now v._o._d. So if you haven't seen it which you should have because because we will get into spoilers. Go check it out today on the show. We got a new guests with us. We've got rosa with us rosa. How's it going. Hi everybody. I going great. Thank you for having the end inviting me yeah. I've been looking forward to this. I think we're gonna can have a fun time talking about the mustang which is a movie that was shot here in my state nevada and i wanted to try to get a chance to cover so i was so glad when you were out there saying how much she loved the movie and i was like well we should do this. Let's let's do an episode on. It really found straight so before we do get into it. Since it's your first time on the show love for you to tell the listeners a little about yourself <hes> well. I an aspiring aspiring some critics enough in some critic <hes> i have a blog. It's russell's reviews dot net where i play where i put short. <unk> spoiler film reviews for newly released films <hes> oxygen on my i'm. I am truly a member of the online film critics female salem critics also filmed independent sounds good sounds great. I mean i've checked out got a lotta reviews in the past. I i love your you know your point of view and the way that you approach movies and i feel like we kind of have a similar point of view of just you know going in at it from just a movie lovers perspective right yeah absolutely absolutely no problem well. Why don't we jump into talking about the mustang a little bit. You know this obviously like i said was shot here in nevada and so you know futures a lot of beautiful shots. Let's <hes> shot actually at the nevada state prison in carson city and you're you're in california right l._a. Yeah yeah yeah right on so you you might actually be wonder who's closer to that part of the <hes> of the steak is it's pretty far from me like six hours north or something but here but it's still i mean that is just so beautiful and it gives the the movie like a really cool setting. I i love that about it but <hes> you know i i just wanted to mention that at the top of the episode because i will be talking about nevada and the <hes> you know the overall style of as we continue but why don't we jump into some puzzle pieces. What do you got for your first puzzle piece for the mustang. Okay yes my first puppies. <hes> it's a film that i cannot stop thinking about while i was watching the most thing in theaters <hes> it's a spirit stallion of cimarron. We're on. It's an enemy of have you seen that you know what i have not. I've definitely heard of it. Okay yeah. It's an animated film from talk to and it's narrated matt damon and it's about a wild wild horse. It's of course the herd of wild horses wild mustangs and of course takes place in the mid west and it primarily focuses on one horse named spirits and they get captured <hes> he gets captured by the american frontier so what they do. Do they capture him. They try very hard. I really want to spoil the film. Yes the mustang us while absolutely spoilers are fine in this. We'd definitely we hope for people to have seen them before. They listen okay okay so they <hes> they kept spirit. They'll meghan frontier capture it captures spirit and they tried the very best to <hes> tame him and very much <hes> they're very much successful while doing that and so so in the place where they're holding these horses they <hes> they pretty much torture him. They isolate him. They you completely neglect any food any water and trying to break them down to break him down. So then a few days later they try to get back to him when they try to <hes> write him he once again becomes wild and becomes unthinkable and dan and that same county <hes> he meets current needs who he has connection with similar to the mustang they on and they're both very rebellious they they're not going to be allowed to be broken down so oh eventually they bond and then somehow someway they escape back to the wild and <hes> very much some alerts parts of the mustang wearing they captured these horses they take them to these presume they the horse we'll pretty much they get incarcerated as well <hes> and just like a spirit. They okay both <hes> he was. The name of the horse in the muskie was in marcus morris sold them yeah yes okay <hes> so since for it like marcus there falls on tenable and they just have their own own personality they refuse to to supe- control to be manipulated and then yeah it's. It's a really great film. My daughter really cute family. Should i definitely see it just in case. It's nice well yeah. I think everything you're saying about that comparison there. It sounds like it works so well and it's funny like the whole the whole thing of like the unbreakable horse needs to be tamed along with the the the human that needs to be tamed it rides such a fine line of like being like a cliche but it like it worked so well when it's made well <hes> and obviously it sounds like this spirit film does it in a really really strong way as well just like the mustang does but yeah <hes> that sounds great and i'm gonna go with my first puzzle piece which is another movie that deals with with similar themes of that of of you know the bonding between between a you know a human a horse and and how you know brings how much character within within the person and that's <hes> the steven spielberg film war horse <hes> which also goes you know much different directions as the film progresses but all of these scenes of of <hes> of of him taming the horse in like this untameable horace in no it you know it gives the character per busy gives a character <hes> meaning thing and you know another thing aside from just that that strict <hes> looking at it in the direction of all. It's a person taming horse a horse and they they learned to be you know they learn to grow through that process. There's also like a hundred percent sincerety. I think to the act of doing this like a into the displaying it and it seems like <hes> a lot of times in movies you know people could be little scared to show that kind of sincerity like it almost might feel hokey said writing that line of cliche and and <hes> but but the these two movies are movies where they do not worry about that whatsoever they go straight in on the concept of this person needs needs growth and they find that growth training a horse and a it just works it really works really well and that's you know partially because of the strong performances of course course in the case of the <hes> the mustang i'm going to butcher names on this but <hes> matthias schoener tse gives such a performance and the director director lauren de clermont tenere she she seems to do an amazing job with this <hes> with with making it feel real and making it feel <hes> sincere as great. I completely agree with everything. You just said <hes> yeah. The performances in the mustang are just phenomenal even up up. I turn give the reform insurance <hes> doing his thing <hes> yes yes yes.

"On all your social media facebook twitter instagram facebook dot com slash twitter dot com slash wrestling. Here's instagram dot com slash email if you so choose arresting cheers at gmail.com and we do have the merged or over at what a maneuver dot net like I said this is an interview and and this is probably gonNA sound a little bit different than probably what you're used to and what most people are used to hell even what I'm used to. I'm doing the everything before the show right now and while before the interview and actually have Jamie Shane with me right now tom also on a on a brand new quarter to so that's that's fun. We had to go high class for me right so yeah Man Lake Dude. It's it's been awhile since we've because it's right now as of this recording this is before O._C.. WSB Big return into two thousand nineteen. It's been what since October yeah tend to October but that's not even technically you know c w show so September really okay yeah okay September. I wasn't thinking things just been so long and like like I mean I could see. I couldn't make it to D._V._I.. But still like that last O._C.. W show was forever and like there were two shows. I think that what fell through yeah Whoa yeah there was one it got pushed back to April mhm the one at Springfield High School yes and then we are supposed to have Thanksgiving special three and then that unfortunately I cancelled like there's do. Let's get into the venue change because we went from the O._C.. W Arena which was just a staple like you knew what we've you talked about every time with somebody from O- C._W.. That when there was a show like you knew where to go you're used to everybody the atmosphere and do you want to get into lake some of the change and things that happen like where we are now. Yeah sure it's it's kind of sad because I was actually texting somebody about it that those w Reno was special because if we'd built that yeah we had come in there we had established a home. We're building something great. It felt like but we always knew we are on borrowed time because the school board that we rented the gymnasium from they wanted to sell the building so then time came up and they're like all right. We're moving out but is until we sell the building. You're allowed to stay in there. Oh great so things are we had four onto the building. Ask shows had locker rooms and classrooms like loved that whole Promo Room like I always done a lot of these interviews a back stairway <hes> which some months we're kind of hot what yeah but that was only like very little room that we had and then the last show was like I got into an old classroom yeah and that was completely different. It's cool to see like the backstage was no longer just like an old hallway. It was like actually no like we have the old lunchroom and all these other added things. It's sad to see that Algen and got more. It was like a tore me up but at the same time it's good because now this new building chaparral's is way hey bigger. It's really nice. It's but at the same time it's like I'm losing my home but sometimes you have to. It's almost like a comfort thing like the like I said those C._W.. Arena was just it had its own look like when you looked at it and pitchers and it looked it looked really really good maybe because there wasn't as many overhead lights for the building when he knew you could have on the lights you wanted and we had the the stadium seating basically our for one side of the arena so and people could be up top or whatever level and like you wouldn't you wouldn't be just behind. Rosa Rosa people made me happy to see as much that added just a whole whole different atmosphere and like now we're here. It's it's been a ride yeah. I think just the months that he's been gone everything personally with Jeremy and look I mean I think people know we know in and it's it's on the poster for night. Tonight's tribute from Melanie so kind of out there like having to watch them go through that is just it just I wouldn't wish that on any now the thing that I do love about Jeremy's he I feel like he's very strong <hes> and he will he will carry on carry on. He's used a lot of that to promote like we're getting back into. There's and now we have a new home. There's a schedule available of all of the shows that will be here yeah so that's kind of cool and data. This is which people be able to seep win before this comes out but much more open hoping and I would any show. I don't care what it is if there's more room exactly fans and for like merch tables like those C._w.. Arena was just like you had merch tables on one side and on the other side like you got to get around everybody. Maybe had to use the restroom yeah you. There was like another other line of graphics so now a little bit more open. It was nice for the show viewing experience but anything else I wanted to get because as you're saying you had to squeeze past people you wanted if we wanted we were stuck. There was only one way out into the out of there and it was back through the entrance way so we had to wait until the show was over. If someone had to leave I remember one time Robbie Star had to leave for a wedding and he you see him leave through the entrance way in his wedding clothes. What's Nice Tie and everything and I'm like? CANNA takes you out of the moment for a second so this is nice. I've already looked around and there's quite a few secrets to get Outta here and end up in different parts of the building or end up into the parking lot so it's awesome to see and we've also had a change a little bit of personnel now. We've had a particular former champion gone go missing without him now right well He. That's eights. I'm happy he's he actually just made his debut in Florida for his first promotion down there so I'm happy you for them in that respect and I'm happy that I got to be the one to send him out here. 'cause I was sad to miss that he'd B._I.. But still like to get the show that we got before that was you didn't expect it yeah. I didn't think think that he was GonNa win. That juice jennings GONNA become champion. They were just like what did I just see a lot of times. When I'm watch with my girlfriend she's like who do you think's GonNa win and I'll give you my opinion near there that when I was just like Oh shit yeah that we Kinda we I kind of let it be known that he was leaving for Florida to see you know to trick pretty much you? I guess we got you thinking it well. I did make sense when we got like wall the announcement of the Hokkien what match getting here I've seen it go on. That's fine the juice sending leading the Counter Strike Against O._C.. W in the conspiracy and then mis-throw C._W.. Jimmy Shane Kinda yeah and even if you go back to the reality of it all Jewish innings and I tried out together I wrestling school we tried out and so ever since then. It's been a little bit of a rivalry we we've tagged. We've split off gone our own ways and so I I'm going to miss him not being around but but it's Kinda now it's a challenge because I always said there is a mount rushmore of this the Akron version of Oh C._W.. Okay yeah there was Matt Taylor Juice Jennings Robbie Star and myself. We are Kinda the pillars of the company at this point now we lost one so now everyone in that locker has step it up yeah and I'm excited for that. I WANNA see flex Jordan. Step it up. I WanNa see Gino to cap oh deliver. I WANNA see Electric Company see what they can do. You know they're the ones that should make sense <hes>. I'm willing to see who does that too. <hes> because I feel like there's a lot of good young talent coming out of here and especially to enough. I feel like anybody from his hair. When I see them venture out like when I saw the electric company wrestle up mega that was a proud moment couldn't make it because the browns are playing that yeah but I was like I even told Chaka was like I would be there for wasn't for that and I? I definitely want to see more like those do Gino to Capo grant is getting better but I haven't seen him in a while. I want to see how much improves I mean. He's had time I will say he's not book tonight man. You'RE GONNA have to wait a little bit longer to see him again it but will he show up. Let's see he <hes> he's in the tag division with Bruce Gray and I actually I hope he doesn't listen to this because I've got a give grand props. I don't think it does but he with Bruce. It was a whole new grant when they came out. I was like Oh that's who I want. That's why I want grant to be step it up. Show me what you can do and I think Bruce brought that out of them the match that he had a buzz bin I forget who it was against the on the patio. Yeah there was easily okay well I saw from him more because I'll never be able to agree critique wrestling skills but when I could tell like people skills and how how you come off like that that was one of the best time say the first but it was one of the best time where he would say someone would say something he'd have to like the right thing to throw at them the right attitude towards everybody and I'm just like he's getting more and more and it's definitely a a built for him yeah and kids. He's a good bad guy but I think the problem is better yeah and he needs to distinguish himself more and when he started I think he was a step above for people would have expected them to be as a rookie yeah so that's I think that's one reason why we're all so hard on him as he he didn't elevate again pass that kind of plateaued and 'cause I when I first saw him being the heel and waste i Iran me of a young me which sounds really cocky to say but I had that kind of thing going for me and when he didn't evolve more it really made me mad and he knows that I've told him that a million times that he has so much potential and it feels like he got lazy. Yeah I could see that but with that group too I feel they roll good in their own way and they could help push each other like further and further like to me like right off the right Gene-o had the character not much of a character but he had it yeah like the Promo which I wish you would cut more like this. The first one wasn't wasn't he like in a chair just like downton and I was just like who does that. Yeah I actually went on social media that I'm trying to find him. Where's this guy because he didn't exist on.

"Seriously. And you know, we could add more to that rainfall total, of course, with any storm systems that we see throughout the month. And in fact, today, there's still a chance we could see more activity. So a pretty wild start to the month for sure we're talking with ABC fifteen meteorologist iris iris. We don't get much more Rosa like this coming tomorrow. So, you know, here's what's happening. We've got a lot of moisture leftover from Rosa Rosa the weekend. It's gone. It's fizzled out the all that moisture it's lingering across our state. And now we're actually tracking a new storm system that's coming in from our west that is going to arrive later today. And that's what's gonna keep our unsettled weather around for today. So we've already seen some scattered shower activity mainly around deer valley and new river. That's where we are under a flash flood warning until ten thirty this morning now for the rest of the Phoenix area and central Arizona. We're actually under a flash flood watch through the seasoning. Because there's still a chance for some scattered rain and scattered thunderstorms through the day today again because of all of that moisture and that storm system that's moving in from the west. So there's a fifty percent chance for storms this morning scattered chances through the afternoon. And then if you're tired of the rain, we're going to start to clear things out overnight tonight tomorrow looking mostly sunny and dry Friday, abundant sunshine. But the good part is we keep the eighties around through the end of the week, even as we dry things out for a few days. Okay. One last quick question IRAs. Are we done with the one hundred's looks like it? I'm not seeing the signs of one hundreds at least not in any time soon. And usually our average temperature starts to trend down. Anyway, I think we could still see some nineties, but for now looking like, we're done with the triple digits, you're fishing my favorite person right now. Thank you guys. Read ABC fifteen meteorologist Irish Emerson seven forty eight time for entertainment news and infra-state Seabrook's this morning, Jason Graham, brought to you by a fire is on as premier cool. "Question with everything you're saying and you're? Coming, forward you were taping during the campaign there is this question, about your credibility and the fact that you were kind of. Already. Taping things. And working behind the scenes during the campaign by father had an expression, you. Know we can't hear you because your, actions are speaking more loudly, why are people supposed to pay attention to what you're saying now when you're the kind of person who would be taping campaign press conference or phone calls in. The. Middle of the campaign great question, right that's actually a legitimate question to ask this as the president would say dog Oh look she's up on Fox News too I just look up, it's all the Rosa unhinged oh no they're just playing something. From. MSNBC Omarosa. Everywhere everywhere you look it's Ana Rosa Rosa on the Rosa moroseness she's, everywhere So John Dickerson asks Like mold, daddy used to say we can't hear what you're saying because. Of what you're doing Why should you have any credibility If you. Were recording, conversations. During the campaign great. Question right listen to the answer S.. I'm the kind of person who covers her own back and Trump world everyone. Lies everyone says one thing one day and they changed their story the next day I wanted to have this type of documentation, so that in the event I found myself in this. Position where as you said. They're questioning my credibility saying they never discussed the entertain, it never heard these accusations the president had never heard these accusations when in. Fact this tape pros that they discussed it at high levels of the Trump campaign some people are just so. Damn stupid that they don't even know when they shoot themselves on their own foot some people are just so stupid that they don't know when they've put. A gun to their head and they've pulled the, trigger and they've just blasted there I'm not sure she any brings to, begin with. But what little brains she had are splattered all over. The CBS, morning. News studio everyone lies Back up I want to get, to the. Other part I'm the kind. Of person who covers her own back. And Trump world everyone lies in Trump world Everyone loves Fool Trump. World every one law Let's think. About that for a second so ALROSA gets Famous for, being on the apprentice which was Donald Trump's reality show which was. A long time ago in a galaxy. Far far away So if People in Trump world or. All liars Isn't she the very essence of Trump world She's on she is. On the apprentice what to. Season three seasons I forget she got. Three she got fired three or four times so she had to be. On. For at least a couple of seasons right. So she's? Been a part of Trump world She is Trump world than the kind of person who covers her own back and. Trump world everyone lies including. You sweetheart Because you are Trump world You were then You were in the White House he. Brought you in it seems to me that You just. Admitted to being a. Liar because you're pro-trump world I don't know whether everybody in, Trump world or not whether that's true for not because well she's a liar because, she just said that everybody in Trump world is a liar and she was part of Trump world even before Trump was even, a candidate for office back when Trump was a reality star Store So were you? Lying Vince meet heart or you lying now What bugs, me is John Dickerson had the, perfect opportunity at that point even politely in, diplomatically to say you say that everyone in Trump will lies aren't you the very definition of someone in Trump world because you. Were in Trump world long before? He was even a candidate so are. You lying now too? Because you say everyone everyone Trump would Moroseness go.

"SIS, not stuff you find everywhere, and we had never been able to track him down after that. I change meeting twelve years ago. So all this was coming full circle and I guess he's shut down the the winery so we could go and hang out and visit with him. And he just he's a really good dude. He makes really good wind and we drove all the way out there. We had a designated driver like Uber, whatever it was. It took us out there and we got out well, first of all, we got to my Buddy's house, man, I will offer champagne at twelve thirty in the afternoon. Oh yeah. And we just crushed a bunch of McDonald's. We've got champagne to start off. Then they brought a flat Chardonnay. Then he wanted to know if we wanted to come to go to David Arthur's. I said, no medicine, we gotta pay Thurston. It ain't him. Then they're done that. So we get over to David Artis place. And as soon as you, what was that? The Rosa Rosa was good and everything over there come out seller, so it's chilled to perfection. Yeah, and it was just also here comes a moment. David Arthur comes out Amei. We shake hands and start shooting the breeze and reliving that one time when we got all shit faced at opus and Mondavi hell. He, he forgot we even with them in Dhabi other than the fact. He got trouble there too. So man, we blew it out and had a damn good time. So today's Arthur and his wife Jin Tanner out there who explained all the wine that we're drinking to his man. We had an outstanding Tam and to our friends and Napa Valley what a great time at was. But man, I'll tell you what a long time ago we consider maybe buying a place in Napa Valley, but I don't think so. I don't think I think it's a great place to visit. It's a great place. It's essentially stunning out there. It's beautiful, but I don't know. I think I turned into a wine off. I lived out there. It's just too easy to drink wine and you start drinking way too early. Oh, that was way to start drinking because like we're in Denver that night. I was like, hammered. I was ready for bed at like seven thirty. Yeah, and I went to bed early. So no, then all of a sudden day said, hey, man, you want those some darts. Sure. I throw a dart and ten years. I used to have a pretty decent game. You got. Pretty competitive. Oh. Laughing joke and in having a good time and all of a sudden we start going in competition and get serious. I can't stand to lose. And of course my buddy setting me up. He'd been practicing for. So he could beat the shit out of me. Once we started throwing, Darcy was crushing me finally towards the end. Hello? Stop drinking. I was drinking at big ass bottle water from trader Joe's and finally, after sobering up drinking water, and finally getting a little bit back in a groove easily. Let's play darts. No. I'll beat him at three on IBM at cricket, and then we would just throwing bowls. And Finally, I started beaten his ass, but I couldn't go sleep till I beat him, and I think I didn't go to sleep till one AM and I knew this morning when alarm clock. I'd like man, are you hitting me? But if I hadn't drank all that water, I'd been hung over like yesterday, but I felt pretty good other than the fact that I was just dead. Dog tired, we're tired. What time did you go? Sleep? I went to bed early. You guys are still up drinking. I went to bed nine thirty or ten sleep. Good anyway. Thanks David, Mindy for having us out there, Napa Valley, man..

"The fields for generations and from there we started to look at other other low wage work including janitorial and domestic work you start with the story of a woman you call rosa and the kind of distressing ending to at least the first part of the story where she concludes that she doesn't want to go on tape with an interview with you even though she's got a wheel story to tell about people who've been victimized tell us about rosa rosa yet she was one of the first farm workers that we encountered in our reporting and i think for us it was a great lesson and the challenges that many of these vulnerable workers especially immigrant workers faced in surfacing this problem and it's why this issue remained kind of an open secret within the fields and other industries for so long we went to speak with rosanna she and her sister had filed a lawsuit against a farm that they worked at and essentially her sister had been very violently attacked by supervisor rosa herself had been sexually harassed by the same individual we kind of made the calculation that her sister was probably a bit too traumatize based on court records to directly so we went to speak to rosa rosa you know kind of she was so interested in participating in our project looking at the kind of the phenomenon of sexual assault among farm workers she really felt that this is an issue she she wanted to combat she thought that speaking out would really help do that because people were not speaking up about it we met with her over several days established i think a really good rapport with her and kind of right before we decided to do the interview she had some really smart questions for us she asked us well you know if i participated in this project and it's a very public one what will happen to my current job and then she asked you know the guy who basically attacked my sister and who has been harassing me i still see him around in the community i ran into him at walmart the other day and so obviously for us as reporters unfortunately we're not police we are not social workers we're not lawyers and we had to tell her quite honestly that we didn't know the answers to those questions.
