Pence announces Biden's victory after Congress completes electoral count
"President Elect Joe Biden's electoral victory was confirmed by Vice President Mike Pence on members of Congress and the three o'clock hour around 3 30 this morning one of the latest headlines President Trump issuing a statement just a couple of hours ago on the electoral certification through dance caveat. No, because the president is you just heard has been Temporarily, anyway, banned from Twitter that ban actually said to expire shortly. Here's the quote from the president, even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out. Nevertheless, there will be an orderly transition on January 20th. I've always said we would continue to fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted well. This represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history. It's only the beginning. Our fight to make America great again. This memory serves me. I don't know if you're there, Rory. But this to me would be the first time the president has admitted that he is going to be leaving office and 13 days at noon on
Supreme court questions Trump bid to bar undocumented immigrants from census
"Raising raising concerns concerns today today that that the the Trump Trump administration administration be be allowed allowed to to move move forward forward with with the the president's president's efforts efforts to to exclude exclude people people it it deems deems has not settled legal residents in the U. S from encountered in the census. The move could affect the congressional representation in some states with large groups of undocumented immigrants residing there. And for more. On today's arguments case, CBS News anchor Jeff Bell spoke with Rory Little professor at UC Hastings College of the Law, or thanks for being with us. Can you help us understand some of the legal issues at play here? Well, it's a very important case. Although I listen to the arguments today, and I'm not sure the Supreme Court is going to resolve it. Um completely. I think. In some sense, the Supreme Court may find a way to simply delay the resolution until after President Trump Leaves office and Joe Biden is the president, at which point Trump policy to exclude undocumented aliens would would probably no longer be in effect. You know, the Constitution says that the representatives in Congress or a portion By counting all of the people that are residing in the state every 10 years, So the census determines how many members of Congress you have. If you exclude all undocumented aliens of state like California, with so many undocumented aliens would lose representatives and thereby lose electoral votes and lose because electoral votes determined by how many representatives you have so There's a ripple effect of this and it's very important. That the census include quote the whole number of persons. That's what the 14th amendment to the Constitution says the whole number of persons Oh, excuse me. So President Trump has said I want to exclude undocumented, uh, persons in states even if they've been there for 30 40 years and are living completely lawfully and paying their taxes. On Dat would really change all practice That's never been done before. We don't count foreign diplomats if they happen to be visiting the United States for year two, but we do count. All the people that reside. Whether they're statute is lawful status is lawful or otherwise. So weary, a lower court in D. C tossed out the multiple lawsuits. What was their reasoning? And what will the appeal be here? Well, uh, the reality is that it is the government that is appealing to the Supreme Court. So the government lost the Trump Administration lost in lower court. One of the district court said. Maybe this case isn't ready for decision yet. Maybe it's not right. Maybe there's no standing. Maybe maybe state shouldn't be able to complain about this until after the numbers have been Announced. I think the court was they asked about that today, but they did not seem open to it. Maybe justice Gorsuch was open to it, but I think for the most part, the justices We're looking for a way to resolve the case That would either just delay it until January 20th or we're actually rule that the president cannot exclude all undocumented. Person. There may be some discretion on the margins. But for the most part, the Constitution says all persons reside in the state. S O. The lower court may have Said. Some things like there's not enough standing or justice ability. These fancy legal words. But the reality is this case is ready to be decided. And the only question is when Askew mentioned things could change after the inauguration in January, President elect Joe Biden, then President Biden could try to reverse course on all this, and I assume that that might prompt future litigation as well. Well, there's always litigation after the senses, So yes, you're right. But on this particular question, I don't think so. I mean, this historical practice has been to include everybody, except for people like foreign diplomats, sir. People who were here on a tourist visa for few weeks. Um, so, but there's always litigation. I mean mean states states care care a a lot lot about about how how many many people people are are apportioned apportioned to to them. them. Saturday at the 2020 Masters
"Saturday at the masters in dustin. Johnson is running away. He carries a four shot lead into the final round sunday. Following a seven under sixty five saturday he was masterful tying jordan speiss fifty four hole record chasing johnson on the leaderboard are sung j. M abraham answer and cameron smith all four shots back while justin thomas and dylan 'fratelli sit five shots back following his round saturday. I called up with dustin johnson. Seven hundred sixty five news. Dustin johnson to sixteen under through three rounds. What did you do well saturday. And what if anything would you like to do. Better sunday I did everything while today. Adrover very nicely head. A bunch of fairways Hit a lot of greens and felt like i. I gave myself good chances on your on almost every hole. and so. that's kind of what you gotta do here. In the conditions. Not a lot of wind you know. Courses is fairly soft so you can be aggressive and Strike in a very nicely today And so you know tomorrow. We'll have to go out and do a lot of the same if i to win. Tied jordan speeds fifty four hole record. What's the balance between staying aggressive and not being dumb Well for me. It all depends on you know. Flag positions numbers Forgot a good number. And and i like the flag is a play aggressive but Like i said the course right now is is very receptive so you know i know the guys behind me are going to be trying to chase down south. You know you can't play you know there's a there's definitely a fine line of being too conservative and too aggressive but you just have to pick and choose my spots second last year. How did that impact your motivation. This time around. I mean yeah it was. I've played well last year. I played while the last couple years so obviously this one tournament that that i definitely want to win and you know. It means a lot to me. A- grew up so close to here and so it is something that i really look forward to until tomorrow is going to be a. It's gonna be a lot of funding. I'm gonna try to enjoy myself as much as i can and Hopefully hopefully outcomes good tomorrow afternoon. You heard dustin johnson say right there how badly he wants to win the masters. It's the dream of every player in the field in this eighty. Four th edition for more analysis on the third round and what to expect sunday. Let's bring in the voice of masters digital jimmy roberts. Dustin carries a four shot lead into sunday following a seven hundred sixty five saturday. He was masterful. Tying jordan speiss fifty four hole record assess his performance on saturday. A great it was basically as good as you could get You know you said it. He tied the fifty four hole scoring record. It is a different time of year. But i don't think it really matters. I mean the thing that sticks out to me is that you know through fifty four holes. He's got two bogeys which is unimaginable. On this golf course and they were in consecutive holes. Fourteen and fifteen in the second round. And when you stop to think about it he bogeyed the second easiest hole on the course which means that by all rights. He should probably expect to birdie the fifteen th hole. You give him two more strokes and he's just farther ahead of the pack. But i will just say this. I was here in nineteen ninety six and i covered that masters where greg norman had six stroke lead and nick faldo came back to win it so i mean this course can do things to you i mean. I think that there were extenuating circumstances that year. Norman had some physical difficulties. That didn't manifest until the final day and faldo played effortlessly. I think he shot sixty seven It's gonna take that for somebody to beat him tomorrow Somebody's going to have to play really really well. And he's going to have to stumble. What is it about this golf. Course that suits his game so well. Well i mean at this point really. He's the number one player in the world and he's as they like to say in europe he's on form so you know. He's a finely tuned engine right now and He's not even close to the red line. So i mean he is just got it all going on right now. I mean he's you know. I always say that you know. These are the best golfers in the world on on a week to week basis. You know you shouldn't be surprised if somebody you've never heard of comes up and wins a tournament because they are all remarkably talented. But he's the best of all of them right now and he is playing really well You know we've talked about this over the last couple of days. He you know he's long and straight which is tough to beat and then a couple of years ago. He decided that in order to get better you had to work on his wedge game so he went and did that he's become a terrific putter and he's completely unflappable. He i think. And i think that's the most important thing i think he's a guy who just does not get undone by much. I just asked him a few moments ago. what's the balance between maintaining the aggression. That got you here without going too far. Yeah i'd i'd be curious to know what he said but in all honesty. I've never seen him loses. Temper made him. I've never seen him hot. I've never seen him running hot. I'd seen him disappointed disappointed. And you're not going to be able to see this on the podcasts. But you know it's just kind of an shucks wish i hadn't tripled that whole crazy when i do. Something you know like that He's really he's a talented man. Who's in stride right now and You know he's done a lot He's one everything but tons of majors. I mean he's tiger tiger woods. He's one in to start his career. He's won thirteen consecutive seasons to start his career. Only tiger woods is done that and he tied him tiger actually one in his first fourteen seasons. But i mean he just consistently wins you know and it's hard to beat talent you know and worth work ethic when you match those two things together. It's very difficult. Let's look at the leaderboard. That is chasing dustin johnson song j. m. abraham answer cameron smith all four shots back. Justin thomas and dylan for tally. Five shots back if you were going to pick one to catch him. I don't think there's any question. The person who watches is Is justin thomas. But the way sunday m is playing and things are different now than they used to be. You know it's been forty one years since a first timer has one here that was fuzzy zeller nineteen seventy-nine. You know i was with the jack nicklaus this morning doing something and He talks. Jack came here and he didn't win for the first five times that he played here. But this is a course more than any other course were experiences necessary. But look you've got answer and in two players who were here for the first time in their you know right nipping at his heels Sebastian munoz too. So i i do think that must not be worth as much as it has been in the past given the level of talent and work of these guys but you know you give me a guy who has the experience and a guy who doesn't of equal talent and at the same spot in their game. I'm gonna take the guy with experience at this place every single time. Rory mcilroy and brooks koepka. Both superstars both at eight. Under after three rounds. How plausible is it that they might contend on sunday. I think it's entirely plausible. I mean i think that you know mcelroy's trending in the right direction after that seventy five in the first round which was disastrous for him. Just can't seem to get out of his own way sometimes but he's got a game. That's ideally suited for this place. He hits it high far and straight. His natural shot is right to left You know he's been number one in the world he's not undone by these big situations. Generally i think he's going to be a very interesting guy to watch tomorrow. But in all honesty there's so much daylight between dustin johnson and the rest of the field at this point and it's not the daylight of four strokes. It's the daylight of four strokes with the number one player on the one side of that daylight. Who's playing well. And i mean. I think it's gonna take dustin johnson shooting seventy two or three tomorrow. I mean i suppose it could happen. You know greg. Norman shot seventy six. Nick faldo shot sixty seven That lead had evaporated by the tenth. Tentpole the eleventh hole So you never know. But i would be. I would be shocked. But i remember being augusta national in in One thousand nine hundred ninety six and remember all the stories that we were doing. And i did a story for. Espn that night. And i said you know it would be shocking if greg norman didn't win but if he doesn't it will be one of the biggest stories and we won't soon forget it and here. We are all these years later. Talking about it at augusta national right now.

Apparently it become a real problem in these men did absolutely whatever they could to put an end to it. The overall location at this establishment, but it was ideal. It was actually able to cater to the mini horse-drawn carriages that passed through the area. This was a long before way would even be thought about the First Recording. Thanks about the hotel. We know today indicate that the land for the noughties as locals like to affectionately call. It was bought by a George Irwin around 1889 following the deaths of landowner James Ellis and his sister Jani-King the land being sold by the facts to pay off the siblings the States. What was the price received for that land a whopping sum of 125 pounds per acre. Wow. This was actually mean pretty steep for the time. My guess. It has that it had something to do with the favorable Loco. chicken I mean we have to stop and look at the fact that it's pretty much at a Crossroads where the road to the interior leads to the road that takes you straight to Fort Nottingham door window. He went on to a ranked what he called the Railway Hotel to serve the station that was built at the tiny Nottingham Road settlement. Local farmer and settler George Smith. Yes, Smith s m y bhe he writes in his diary July 12th 1882 off. The railway has it lasts commenced and there is a large staff of men on gallery busy putting a buildings in beginning the Earthworks. The station is to be just at the cross the road for Nottingham about two miles from straight turn. The railway line finally reached out to him Road at the end of 1885. The station was initially called Harrison's Camp after the contractor prior to the station's opening before being called Clark Lewis station. However, the name was changed to Nottingham Road station in 1887 as the locals decided that it was too far from karkloof to be so named previously Littleton was the last stop the real we changed the lives of the Midland settlers forever. There was a daily postal system and almost anything they needed could now be ordered from Durban or. It's Burg produce from the area could be quickly sent to the city centers for sale and travel between the coast and the interior was a matter of hours rather than weeks or days the railway also led to the development of the Midlands as a viable area for settlement that my opinion is always a great thing. The Railway Hotel was built by a mr. Morgan and was completed at the beginning of 1891 and it soon became the center of social activity at Nottingham Road. A gracious two-story building was set and rolling Lawns the hotel offered guess the Comforts of proper lighting package tennis courts and a Billiards room as well as activities such as shooting and horseback riding at the turn of the century another family took over the the last name Singleton. They would go on to run the business as they saw fit. But Nottingham Road Hotel was always the local favorite haunt weather for a social drink in the pub or for supposedly more serious matters such as meetings of the Dead Nottingham Road Farmers Association. Apparently, the farmers will often only survived home safely because they're faithful horses knew the way back to their Stables off the the system works smoothly until a prankster swapped the horses between the different traps and cards. So that drunken farmers were taken off in completely different directions often the locals would decide to stay over at the hotel especially at the weather was bad. One such farmer a Christopher groom was trying to reach the hotel to Shelter From a storm. He was unable to reach it in time and was unfortunately struck by a bolt of lightning just down side right where the first tennis courts were located in his dead horse were actually discovered some time later when the storm had passed over the bridge just man quite unaware of his narrow escape a hole was found straight through his saddle and it showed where that bolt of lightning had struck. Like all hotels or the history the Nottingham Road hotel is reputed to be haunted. Of course right in the past two guests and staff have reported that the spirit of a woman roams the hotel especially room 10:00 and it's ground this house proud gentle ghosts. Apparently. Amy Coney Barrett: Supreme Court nominee vows to 'apply law as written'
"Confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Amy Cockney Barrett begin tomorrow. Hey, CBS reporter Melissa call Ross takes look at what we might expect The opening statement, Judge Barrett will deliver before the Senate Judiciary Committee has been released and you see Hastings College of the law professor Rory Little says it's pretty standard talks about how much she loved her family and her husband and how much she appreciates the support of many people, including teachers and parents and schools. Prior to this point, little, says Baird is unlikely to take any questions on the first day of her confirmation hearings. But when she does, she'll be judged on whether her views air in step with the majority of senators and the country. He says Barrett will be more conservative than at least half the court if she becomes a justice, But he will, I think, try hard, at least in the first couple of years to just follow the chief justice and And follow. You know the precedents and things like that. But justice is usually don't make much of a wave in the first couple of years. Little does not think Barrett's confirmation is guaranteed. Even though Senate Republicans say they have the votes, he says anything can happen over the next week or two.

Smaug: Ransomware-as-a-service drag(s)on
"Was caught in our collection and it was sort of identified to be A. Somewhat. Of A new. Grant somewhere as a service that we haven't really seen much of A. Analysis about it you sort of decided to sort of dig deeper into it. That's yellow keen Kennedy, and what we found I was a third of a quicksilver report around the initial panel that has been found as part of its Announcement or advertisement on the dark web but we couldn't find anything around of the malware. How worked thinks that's a now when we actually had a sample. We could actually take the time. To. Find. Out How it operated what it did if they did something different compared to others over ransomware dose south there, and then sort of wanted to go ahead and. Put the whole picture together and do an analysis based on the threat actor was behind it, and where it sort of is announced on the dark web and what they're stalling sort of potential. Customers. Would as we want to say what do you can do with it? Well. Let's go through the research together first of all in terms of the threat actor who do you suppose as behind this? Out Now, that's a very loaded question Sorry. No. Not at all. That's rory gold. Unfortunately, it's quite difficult to really pinned on you know who this person is or where perhaps they come from. The few flags I mean for instance, there was a rather within the original post on the the Russian dark web forum it says that targeting any CIS as in Commonwealth of Independent States is prohibited. Resulted in media ban. So that might make one think okay. You know maybe it's a Russian or it's a Russian speaking actor but to be honest whenever you sort of whenever you dig through the panel and even look at the screen shots that they present you you can see that there's mountain characters hidden within some of the ransom notes. So, to be honest, count, really come off the fence on this one and can't really give it any sort of attribution but you know there are certain things that might make you think. Well and you you suspect that it's a small team behind this. Yeah. We we will be of the opinion that would be a very small team at least two people can't really put a maximum on it but. Wouldn't imagine it would be particularly large team our large effort behind him. Well. Let's go through it together. I mean the story SORTA begins, with, some forum. That you all tracked down take us through the story here. to essentially after you came find sort of some public facing stuff displaying the panel. Displaying the Displaying around somewhere as a service thought, it was for sale I look through some forums that I would know generally used to sell these sorts of items one form in particular a Russian language one. So I went through the forum I search tort and it was easy to find actually. As you can see anybody that looks at the block you can see the original hosting You know it's fairly generic. They give you a link to the tell you all the things does you how can figure it is it gives you the price it gives you the service fee. So Yep. You know as a starting point that was a good space to go with. Yeah, it's interesting to me to see the posts that you share here kind of the salesmanship that that's on display here also, a very good use of English. Yes suspiciously good use of English because obviously this is the this is the initial offering of around somewhere but if you take into the profile. Of the actor, well, we'll just call him coriander because that's what they're using. If you dig into their user history within the forum. I think it was maybe four or five months before the smog offering there was a post looking for a front and. You know they wanted somebody who was fluent in English and they're willing to pay two thousand dollars in Bitcoin. This post itself was written. Rather broken English, which of sort of contrast with small offering which was in perfect English grammatically. Then always. So the the distinction between the two would leave us lead us to believe that there were in fact, at least two different people you know an English speaking from deaf and then somebody else in the shadows as it were. Well, let's dig into the The ransomware offering itself can can you walk us through someone who engage with them? What sort of thing would they find themselves able to use? Unfortunately for businesses and individuals out there it's actually rather easy to do this. And the initial offering. It gives you an onion link to the website that smoke is hosted on. Once you click through to that. Url, and you go to your presented the fairly generic registration you put your email in generate a password confirm your password security code. Once, you do that. You get a confirmation on century mill address pretty quickly. From there, you're given a bitcoin wallet address. Ask you send your point to Bitcoin. So that address I'm once you're there, you know your you're. You're essentially you're good to go from that point. You can immediately go into the dashboard. That the developers created. If anybody looks at the blog. Photos of it it's actually I would argue it's quite a nice Ui. It's pretty clean. Rather. Sparse. Does what it needs to do. and honestly from there, it's just point and click you don't need to program anything. Really don't need to do anything at all you just you know come up with a campaign title. Whatever company you're targeting like the BBC or something you call it BBC. Sedative business model. So it'll it'll in fact all the computers with the not network but only needs one decryption code to release all of them or if you really want to be nasty, you sense it under the regular mode, which means every single computer needs its own decryption key. You can generate around some message saying you ha ha you've been postponed semi to this bitcoin address? and. There you go. You just click the create button I'm not saying you're away.

Being self obsessed but it's also like. Doing it for the right reasons it's not it's part of it's part of the community work exactly when you give yourself over to the. Whatever little community you've built Like yeah you it is a freedom and you do find it to be richer and as you do that the amount of sort of. Pathology involved and the amount of like how much you think about yourself, whatever it lessens, and you start to think about yourself and consider yourself in a healthier way. And in the healthier light and you kind of like I, don't know you start to lake isn't so much like yourself as. It's just like I don't I'm not like I'm not fucking anger like I'm not disgusted by myself. I'm like like like the occasional bouts of self loathing a more kind of like, Oh, I'm all right in right? Yeah. He's fine. He tries real hard like be nice to that guy. So yeah. I I I hear you. I. Hear You I do think. I have. I. Have Like A. So it's also one you realize when you start to realize you need to do it you go. This is. I think the forgiveness you're talking about with yourself as when you kind of realize like, Oh, lasts me and more other people you you go. This is what everybody's going throwing in you either you meet people who recognize it, and also we're trying to do something about it or you meet people who don't recognize it or think it's ridiculous and that's truly the makeup of most people. Yeah. But you you do kind of forgive yourself a little bit because you this isn't a unique problem. I'm not a bad. Person I, recognize this thing and now I gotta work on work on it and it's relatable to everybody and I. Yeah. I just find it very very fulfilling when I can. Ritz and Robocalls with Rory
"We've come to learn and thanks to a report I have to say on this. On. This. New. Be Startup. This news organization called the BBC Brewery. I didn't know if you've heard of your. Report by my colleague Chris Fox. You're on the wonderful Chris Fox. I'm never sure how many exits he should have his name. It's up for debate sometimes he has to he has reported about a scam which is alarmingly convincing and has been targeting diners at the okay. Could it fool me? Do you think well? Maybe. You're you're very cynical crow in your very skeptical especially. Good. Let's be Kinda. You're very careful about your personal information. You're the only person I know who actually reads privacy policies in terms and conditions that worry does. Know. Exactly exactly. Well, what happened was this? So there are folks out there who are making bookings at the Ritz Restaurant. You know they're not put off by the titles of pot plants being bugged and they're doing this online or maybe they're doing it by Nicole gets popular at the Ritzy met book weeks and weeks in advance he can't just show up right I, try to without tie and. Somewhere, head and then a day or two for your booking you get a phone call. From the Ritz Reservations Department okay. And you know it's the Ritz reservations department. Because they say it's the Ritz reservations. Department. Right and that's that's that. That'd be well, it would. It would because date four year restaurant you're expecting it and fancy restaurants do that. So that's nothing out of the ordinary. But even if even if you were a little bit surprised, they were ringing, you can check the number that they're bringing on and what you find when you look at your my microphone, whatever caller ID is that the number matches? Interesting teased the Ritz and they go further to make this call even more convincing. They confirm your restaurant booking details. You know they said. Smashing Security Christmas Eve tables five thousand whatever it is that we you know. Sandwiches. SBP amazing. We're going to bring all the listeners that's right by the way we. Invited. Might Fall for that too because that does happen especially in span shoeprints restaurants they sometimes one hundred down to make sure that you're gonNA show up right and no, it's the Ritz it's Parsh-. Obviously, don't scam people. Eighteen quit club sandwiches. Poor people aren't going to. Cure the. agonize. Club sandwiches that anyway well, the scammers have now got your car details and what do these scammers do having stolen the credit card details from people who dine at the Ritz. They, take those credit card details and they spend thousands of pounds with those credit card details. At all goals. The. Countless. The no longer catalog catalog company. You know they've stopped their catalog. Cuts look and I've read somewhere online. You can find all their catalogs since nineteen, seventy four. Put. them all up. So you can actually go back and see what was available at the early days. I think for listeners overseas, we should explain more Agassi's because we had a certain reaction to that. It's a bit like less posh L.l Bean I. Think it's more like communist Russia before the fall of the. Hey, that sounds great. Because you go to an Argos and you're told, please go to till a B or C and you queue there. Yes. Well, yeah it's it's it's it's actually quite an innovative. It's But like foyle's bookshop in very. Over Meghan me years ago when you went into the venerable falls bookshop on the terron crossroad and you bought it a poke you had to. You could just buy you have to go and go to till saying wait for somebody to handcrafted for eventually. Foils is an extraordinary experience anyway. As the BBC is the venerable BBC reports if the bank spotted that suspicious August transaction, you don't normally spend thousand pounds or. How many pools do you need sir? The scammer moans the victim up again, this time pretending to be from their bank. And what they do holes they say. Someone's just try to use your credit card Argos. We're GONNA cancel the transaction. Can you just read out the security code which you just been sent new microphone to make sure we talking to the right person? It's pretty sneaky now. One thing I didn't get is how are these? Miscreants getting my phone number in the first place that is the sixty four thousand dollar question. Isn't it? Yeah. Because this data was presumably stored by the Ritz when when people were up and booked in the first place. Who knows how the Ritz is storing the information? Are they putting it down a little piece of paper and sticking it to the wall? I have they got an excel spreadsheet? Have they got some properly or antiquated in carefully password protected database No you know Oh. Okay I didn't realize they have admitted that they know they suffered some kind of data breach involving their reservations department. Insider job anyone walnut suppose ability as well. Isn't it? Could on the inside? Who could be turned off? So we don't really know, but it's it's quite sneaky. Now, one of the potential victims, this told the BBC that this whole thing happened to them, but they were able to dump found the scammer and the way in which they did is they said, they asked they asked that cooler specific questions about the hotel's facilities. The scammer wasn't able to ans-. Okay.
Multiply Your Time
"Hey Rory. Thank you so much for being on the PODCAST I can't wait for this conversation. Well, thanks man I'm I'm glad to be here. Thank you so much for speaking at the summit and also just to say this frankly were also living in a post cova world or. Current Cova. and which means things have radically changed and things not only have radically changed what they changed. Or they're changing. Almost every day it seems like there's new. New Information new strategies just this whole pandemic has introduced us into a season of rapid change. One question that I might lead off with his. Is Time Management still relevant when there's so many serious things going on when there's so many so much tragedy going on why is it still appropriate to talk about this idea of how we manage time? Yeah. Well, so let's start a fight early because. The I don't believe in time management like time management is a total misnomer. Manage time there is the I cannot pause I can't fast forward time I can't rewind time like time continues on whether I want it to or not. So there is no such thing as time management there is only self-management there is managing your emotions managing your focus it is it is managing yourself and what you choose to do and I think that self management is more important today than. As important today as any other time in history I, think it's more relevant though today because die distraction in dilution is is so rampant and and that I think really makes this. Like critical a critical time at just to you know to Dr, caveat sure you're familiar with the seven habits of highly effective people right in the twenty five million copies. Here's a here's the thing about that book that a lot of people probably don't know or haven't thought about. That book. Amazing. Changed the change the world but that book was written in Nineteen. Eighty nine. And just you to think about for a second how different the world is today than it was in the year nineteen, eighty nine. Radically Different Yeah. And and so that's why I think you know when when we started to notice that that the multipliers, the ultra performers, there were things that they were doing and how they were processing decisions that was different from everybody else it's because they've they have evolved because you can't solve today's time management challenges using yesterday's time management strategies. Yeah. I appreciate you saying. That Roy because this is what I loved about your talk you introduce this new phrase, not just managing time but actually multiplying time as soon as I heard that I was like, yes, that's that's ten times better. Even if it was possible to manage time I, don't want to manage time on a multiply time. Can you talk a little bit more about that? Yeah. So That's the thing is is when people? When people think of like you know control time you can't really control time. But if I say you can multiply time everybody the first. Sunday. Here it they typically think it's a superlative like it's an exaggeration and they go. Well, you can't multiplied time and and it is true that there's nothing that we can do to add more time to one given day right? Like we all have the same twenty four. Hours, which is fourteen hundred and forty minutes, eighty, six, thousand, four, hundred seconds, and there's nothing that I can do in my power to add more time today. But that's exactly the problem is that what most people do is they wake up in the world and they they ask themselves what's the most important thing I can do today and that is not how multipliers think what multipliers do is completely different they. The urgency calculation is Evalu- evaluating everything through the Lens of twenty four hour window. What's the most important thing I can do today what multipliers do as they evaluate their decisions based on what we call the significance calculation the significance calculation is breaking free of the paradigm of today and their instead thinking about tomorrow and the next day and the next day and the next day so. The question is is totally different. It's not what's the most important thing I can do today. It's one of the things that I can do today that create more time tomorrow.

Bob's woodsy fresh diffuser blend which. Three jobs of northern light black spruce combine that with two drops of pine to drop of lime in two drops of peppermint I love this combination of Oils Linda. Life's curbs falls through group and individual online meditation training and her responding to life podcasts. Josephine is so wonderful having you here with us today. How are you and great? Thank you so much for having me. Yeah, we'll tell US A. A little bit about yourself. We just learned a bit about your journey in your bio, and it sounds like you have many ups and downs in life, but I'd love to hear hear it in your words. Yeah, absolutely so I actually I help people overcome adversity to enjoy, and this all stems from that thirteen year for journey, but I had trying to create my dream family, and that encompassed many years of failed idea miscarriages eventually leading to international adoption, and then going back, try via, and then finally using a surrogate to help us out, and in the end after that tumultuous. Tumultuous Ride. We have our family of five kids Manso. Because I went through all of that, it became my passion to help. Others navigate their own obstacles in life, using all the lessons that I learned and coupling it with meditation training so that no everyone can try to purchase rice, responding in a more mindful and positive way man I think mindfulness is really at the root of so much of our health whether the physical emotional mental learning that mindfulness key. It's not something that we are necessarily taught in childhood taught in schools. It often is something that unless you yourself as an adult. Adult go and seek out that training of mindfulness. It's no wonder that it seems like our society oftentimes is very very scattered, brain and unhealthy and unhappy. We have so much mental unrest in our society and I'm a big believer that a lot of that comes down to just people not knowing how to be mindful. Would you agree absolutely? Yes, we were so caught up in the day to day an looking in the future, also looking in the past, and never really appreciating the present moment for how beautiful it is, because our minds are scoring so quickly. Get so much stuff and. Inundated with all the media that we now have our fingertips that it is so easy us to get caught up in that whirlwind of chaos, and not really be mindful of ourselves and our situations, and that's why I love using essential oils as we. We're going to talk about as another way to really like tap into that moment, because it just brings you back to what you associate with certain sense, which is why I love to incorporate in. In my in my meditation

"That's I love in that stone. I think I I love any art. That's like that any art that takes you to the craziest place Scott and used to do show memories from the Happy House. In New York City with Jared Logan Nick Batter out and Cape Orlando and love Probably missing so many people but we do like a full cast of people and we would just try. We took we did at creek in the cave and we just tried to make a really fucked up weird thing. The what are the wouldn't fucker we add and we played church. Music as people walked in like Choir Organ Church music and when people walked in they instinctually got quiet. Like they're supposed to respect the space because we've been you know that's our wiring to hear that music and go she respectful and so people would come in and do that Scott and I remember being up in the sound booth and we're looking at your like people are getting quiet. This is a great and then we play like a weird fucking video that I edited together and with people would just do characters or sketches jared Logan would usually usually hosted I think Nick Turner D- Some stuff on it but it was always just a weird fucked up thing I always said I was like come to these things high and just be like. I don't know what I was at what I experienced. But it was so crazy that you you get off on this idea so much that when we were doing weekend of. Tuxes part do I told you about how the week prior I was doing just like workout sets in Houston and I ended up at this. Like old buildings that was turned into like a like a out like art installation throughout the entire thing. I wasn't high but for parts of me that which was not because you would very much be like. Where are we going? How is an I ended up finding a room and I have pictures of the art installation in the building so people can understand it what yes go on. Tell them how you found the room. So I walk in and there's all these lights and there's this dome these people have made and I'm like it everything's art there's a room where the pinball machine controls the lights in the room and then there's like a full dinner party happening in one area of the plate like people dressed very fancy. I mean like Nice Dinner Love as kind of Shit. And then there's like street vendors that are like making food for people there that has nothing to do at the dinner part of the dinner parties like draped by like these veils that you can kinda like see into and then you go up the stairwell and then you're outside and then you go up a winding staircase almost like a like a like A. I don't know what you call not a t- what's a vertical tunnel called like a tower and so then I I walk out and we're on the roof Hashtag. What's a vertical tunnel called on the roof and they're projecting onto the buildings like these like lights and stuff and I'm like all right? I gotta go so go to leave and I walk down and I come down out through the outdoor area through that vertical tunnel and then back into the building and then I'm going down the steps and I look and there's a little side staircase and I walk and there's a picture and I have this where there's a picture a piece of paper on the floor. I took a picture of and it says a comedy show is over and I'm like what the fuck so then. I keep walking up and I find myself in a being John Malkovich half level like walkway floor and I walked through and you have to bend over. Have Pictures of me walking down through there? Not Knowing where I'm going on what I'm finding and there's an inflatable couches and a little Mike Stand. And so I get the MIC stand on and I decided I'm just going to start doing a set. They must have had some sort of weird comedy show here earlier. And then and then the whole room starts to populate with other people and then all of a sudden it feels packed. But there's maybe twelve people in there and people are on various types of drugs and toxic and different means and I just start doing a set and you can't stand up on like half bent over and I my dream is to go back there and record a A twenty thirty minute special day called in that room where you can't stand up and called a short set Daniel Vancouver short set and I ended up doing Santa Andrew. Young blood comes in like does it. And then he sits down and yell them but I took a really good picture as you have to stand up and then they bring me back up to close out again like the people who are there like do another bit so then I like close out the show so I tell you this thing and I love all that and then the next day you get back into Houston before me because you have a rental car and I'm with you codes and you're like where can I go. Where is that place likely? Ten thirty in the morning. And you're driving around. Houston BEING LIKE LOOK. My my morning opened up. Where can I go to get this before we go to the show? I will take you there someday. Buddy I that kind of stuff is my absolute documental? Yeah I don't like weird just for the sake of no good but I love like just an experience it's weird. I don't know what that when people go. What is whenever I hear anyone go way is this? I'm like go away when you mean what is the. Just just take. Just be in it right when I mean they'd be able to go. What is this in terms of like being against us? My point is youtube. Yo you think you can be inquisitive without being skeptical. Yes Don't have to like it. Just just know that. Maybe it's not something. Maybe it's just this weird like just the things someone made and you just go all this crazy bringing all the way back in your most recent not most recent maybe by the time this drops but and you're on your Maurice and clips of the trump joke that you do you ask the audience and I could see. This is a real rory moment. Because you want to know your. Do you think the people that left here are sitting together talking about this? The point to me. You're like you didn't maybe you didn't like it but look at what it gave you. You're still telling and it didn't hurt you and it didn't hurt anybody else but it gave you something. Yeah Yeah Man. Yeah I'm I'm down for all that stuff. Chris you just got us so God damn excited. This is a great letter. I've wondered this for for a while..

"Can't remember from what you were saying in the initial. Think something about you getting high but I yes okay. Yes but my first question is now that I care more about I is. Do you remember if that was a like when you went on stage. Where you would like? I'm GonNa Dance to whatever song that played the whole time. Did you ask them to or do you think it was one of those things where you got brought up to it? You were feeling the vibe of the song and then just kind of told them like no keep it going and then you dance to the whole thing. No that that definitely did not happen. Although a lot of stuff is born out of that. If anyone has seen my netflix special I come out and I say who's done anal for a very long time. That was born out of being at a show and in the green room joking around with other comedians. About how long I could go out on stage tonight and ask the crowd who's done anal literally to just. Maybe people are funny either way. I think it's funny. If it digs too big of a ditch it was like a ten minute spot anyway. So it's like let's let's do it right and people were laughing so hard right out of the gate of me asking. Who's done anal that? My brain instantly went. Oh this is a bit. We do a lot. This is definitely a and then grew into more tags. Everything as as you and I both know that's where a lot of our comedy comes from. Is those moments and then you go. Oh Shit this is a real thing I can. I can write more ideas to the right. And then you do this manning thing at at a show. I did decide at some point to come out to man. Eater might have been a hot tub with Joel Mandy Asking what Song I wanNA come out to and I. I'm saying man eater so that I could come out and the joke that I thought of was mouthing words and saying words with the microphone. Better clearly not. The man eater words all the way through the first chorus then having them turn the song off emmy looking the crowd and just being like you guys. I have a confession. I don't know the words to this song when so clearly. They've everyone knows I've been talking about the whole time so loudly that I would be like you guys. I don't know the words that song a Lotta. You couldn't tell because I'm a very good actor so it seemed like I did know it in that. Could seeing you know but I go. I can't do this set if you guys think if I'm a liar I can't so odds are at lyric period. I was the odds are very good that I was high and for whatever reason this night I was like you know what? Let's just let the whole song play. I'm doing an hour so let's let the whole song play because what what starts that way. And that's my point as to my point of coming to a comedy show. Hi Turning your phone off walking into a space likelier campaign which I think is so perfect for what we're talking about walking into that space and going. I'm letting I'm leaving everything outside. What am I at? And then you see fucking clown come out and dance to man eater for three minutes right and even if you don't and this is my firm belief and I will admit this comes from probably a me trying to take a piece of tog glasses soul and spread it like a disciple is is is saying even if you don't think this is funny. Does this not put you in a different head space as to what the fuck are you at? And as soon as the song ends. I'm going to go into comedy and hopefully you have already forgotten how hard parking was. And you've already forgotten. What the ticket costs. And the argument you got. Hey Buddy you clean table. Let's just get I'm going to get everything else off here. Whatever you thought was going to happen. Whatever you brought into this show not going where you thought about. We're just GONNA CLEAN THAT. We're sitting there going. What the fuck am I at? And I'm like exactly because I don't want you going. I'm going to stand up showing. This is how Shane the thing. Choose like whether you think it's funny or you are hesitant to go along with it. You all now in the audience are in the same boat. And that's like the by whole clapping thing it's like I'm putting all of you on the same page. Now you can choose your level of investment in that page. But you're there nonetheless I would. I would say I would categorize it this off of what you just said people that if I opened my show that way there are people laughing right out of the gate right on the probably the whole time. Yup If they're people sitting there going what the fuck is this and their curiosity is peaking and they will be like what the fuck is out of their head because their their head the thing you're doing yes and then there's the third party which the more known you become as a comic is always the minority. They are going. I don't like this at all and had to let them know right away. Yes that's how I that's the thing to you. Just WanNa be like any of those people laughing. I'm like this is what I I do And these people that are laughing right now in the first minute. They are laughing because they're like. Oh my God right out of the gate. He is giving me exactly what he does. And the thing that I like you know I. I've experimented done stuff for the whole crowd is like you. Sometimes some things like that aren't funny. There could have been a show. Go out and go. Who's done anal and no one laughs? And they don't think of ten people listening to US people we know there's fans listening to us. There's other comics. Who are fans listening to us right now and I'm sure some of them be like yeah but I guarantee that that doesn't work every time that you get this great anal bid or you get this song number thing and my response is of course. That's why I'm not talking about those hundreds of times but something didn't work you know many times. I did those one. That's also why I don't remember them. Because the thing that gives you a little breadcrumbs towards the cake is stuff you kept mining going down and finding so. I'm willing to say man eater. I've done that man anything. I'm willing to say somewhere between ten and twenty times. I'm willing to bet. This is the only time I ever let the song play the whole way through. Now if this was a comedy club and people paid twenty minutes. I'll do the man eater thing and it'll probably end after the first chorus right but because of that twenty bucks. I might not ride the I might be like. We gotta get to it sooner. This is not talking about a place like lyric hyperion. I bet you the tickets were like five bucks ten bucks at the most. That was the space Rago. You have come into this space and you can see you have come to the practice gym..

"Deep in your own heart over the last month or so. I've spent a lot of time telling stories with my friends. On video calls a lot of the stories that are told our of times when things went seriously awry By the way the title of this you mail is the best stories. Come from frightening times. are told our of times when things went seriously awry many of my stories come from the early months of moving to Los Angeles getting stuck on back roads. Joshua tree having my car stolen and going to Rory Scoville show at the lyric period. Love it already love everything about this letter being new in La. I went by myself to Roy show and before I arrived. I decided that I would smoke a little marijuana. Let me just say this. You're GonNa go see me live or you're gonna go see Daniel live. Nothing excites me. More than going alone and going high because going into comedy confused is to in my opinion the absolute best when when comics can confused but open confused opened. Maybe a little paranoid. Maybe a little skittish but but to me what it is is it's it's it's a when performers talk about wanting to take the audience someplace and forget what's outside of the theater. This is why so many comedians want you to put your phones away outside of the fact that it's incredibly disrespectful. Want you to put your phones away. Want you to not record. Wanted to not do all that stuff because being here in this moment at this live show is such an experience That we can have together that it's the only you're inviting the outside world into this like sort of secret space when you turn that phone on when you got to check your emails when you gotta stay on social media it means you came into a room. They closed the door. And you're like yeah. But I'm still tethered to the outside world. I don't forget that coming to to my show. Hi alone makes me very excited. I'm hi I'm this lyric. There's no question I was high at this show one hundred percent and I'm scared to and I have to talk the whole time so you can imagine come comeback to that. This was a terrible idea. New California Pot. I got way too high and by the time I got to what I thought would be a theater all. I could find a small sandwich shop with a patio. I had no idea what to do so I bought a sandwich which I sat on the patio heating. Soon people started going into what seem like the smallest sandwich shop with almost no one coming out and as it made no sense as to how many people could fit in such a small based. I followed I followed the showroom now Daniel and I obviously know what what lyric appearing is but it is it. All of this is accurate. Even if you're sober you have a moment of like wait. Where am I? Oh exactly the you had a very small theatre. Maybe sixty seventy people top and not does not have anything close to a quote unquote grand entrance. Exactly you go into a you. Do go into a sandwich shop. Coffee Place are kind of setting. That's very small and then if you go into the right door then you know. Oh that's the way into the Raider. It's I love it. I actually love the look the feel and I love places like this so anybody who wants to see a bit of it. You can watch todd glasses special on Netflix. They shouted at the lyric will know that that that was shot at the other lyric on sunset. Yeah and I was like man. They made this look so different. Yeah no it's the other the other enough. I think on Center Fairfax there's okay but Would seem like a small sandwich APP and made no sense to how many small space I followed to the showroom. Rory came out and danced. This is proof that I was hi. Ray came out and dance to the entirety of man-eater by Hala Notes. And after that did a bunch of great. Stand up comedy after the show. I was GONNA stick around and talk to him as I met him at a show in North Carolina a year before however I got in my head very high that he knew everyone there and if I talked to him he would be wondering why even there. I waited for hours while everyone left. And when I finally got my head together I went home. Do you guys have any stories that you love to laugh about? Despite that they felt somewhat scary at the time sincerely Chris Lawless and.

"Gasser so I've asked them officially. How long was the Gasser? What distance was against? Yes and how long did we have to do them? I think we had forty five seconds to do want that to do one a down and back down and back right and I've had damn. This is how much you and I live in the moment like fucking Jordan. We might have already said so much of this a week ago but so down back down back down back. It's forty five seconds if we say we're trying to do five of them in forty five seconds. That goal is three minutes. Right Ninety Ninety. Come on help me. No no who's got a category five seconds of forty five seconds. That's a minute and a half right. Forty five seconds times five. Yes so it's three minutes and forty five seconds. Good luck to do five of them there. I can go if anyone is anyone. If anyone is thinking that I'm going to win. Let me just go ahead. And let you know that that total time his going to exceed worked for both of us if that if that helps anyone gambling on this for option to of picking the winning time. Just know if you put anything. That's three forty five or in that vicinity. You will be wrong. I would. I would caution anyone who thinks we can do it. Don't go sub three. I think we can't don't go sub four honestly I was GonNa say if you think we can do it in under three forty five. I would say you're don't go lower than like three twenty three. No not no no way no way. Okay here's my question especially now. I know it's down back down back. Go Straight to hell. That's exactly what you here's my other question. Do either one of us get any practice gas or no. I mean you're kinda practice and running around your house but that's a lie. I lot yeah you can do whatever you gotta do. Okay haven't here's the thing. When do we want to? We're going to let people know June third. The results do we. WanNa do this. Thursday the twenty six the day after the the twenty eighth a day after this drops I was thinking this weekend. But then this tomorrow but then this will drop after. We've already done it which we might promote on social media. It's okay so you're talking Saturday. The thirtieth we hit we hit. Yeah but then but then we will already recorded the episode for June third. So we need to do before June Thursday. Twenty eight you guys tomorrow. Okay tomorrow. Daniel and I are running. These motherfucking gases. All right. I gotTA start stretching every I know me too. This is hurt but we got a little time. Now let me ask you this. Are you GONNA do years on grass or are you going to do it on pavement grass just like in football all right? But I don't got cleats. I knew you were going to ask. I don't have cleats. I think that's GonNa make it. You know watch out I know how do I how do we? How do I measure it off anyway? Now we're deep into the showed. We have time for for two letters. Nope you guys. Thanks for listening. Land Kids a lot earlier ice roar. We gotta start putting that in. Did I on the sky? Yeah put it in. Let's get sued. Let's get sued. I say at every week. Let's get to Daniel. Who'S UP TO BAT? You wonder you want me to all. This is Leonard you've been wanting to read for awhile. I also did this for a while. I'm going to do it step in getting the IPAD out heads up here. We go all right dear rory and Dan. Well we'll make keep gone. Let me keep going. He was.

"That's what you have to do. That's what it takes. It takes thinking about clips and making these clips posted eclipse. I mean there's no question Ryan Flanagan is another person. It's like wow dude you're just war yeah and people like. I've been my whole life. I've been very precious about material and I don't know why I don't know why same thing and so now I'm finally like just put stuff out and if people come to live show they come to live show if they don't they don't but just put stuff out and if someone goes. I've already heard this joke. We look at. What are you fucking on is doing best to have new stuff? I say to those people I go good thing. I did a lot more than that one and I'm glad to hear that one you saw tonight. Yeah so it was enough to bring. Yeah there's the net. There's the line debate right but Yeah we're just posting stuff and J J Larsen and I made golf sketches four years ago that the golf channel is now put up on their instagram page. That are lighting up so I would say that my form of finding work. I wish I had more structure. I think I work better in structure. I'm just so undisciplined. What my structure should a and So and also I just write this point. I don't really know what the work should be. I truly am someone who so you know. Driven by stand up that. I'm having to accept that the world of standup could be gone for a little while. I don't think forever by any means but I think for a little while it's on hold and so it's like you know instead of me sitting down and writing material which is fine and good but I never did that before. So if this quarantine turns me into a guy who sits in rights than great. It just hasn't happened yet. I'm trying to figure out. Well what is other stuff? I can be doing what are videos that I could be making what stuff that I could be putting out there. What about you what do you? I mean you're a workhorse in in just the podcast world. Are you finding time to be like all right? I've got this other all podcast aside. Are you finding this other time go? Here's women do. Yeah okay I have a minimum of four projects that I should be working on every day. Yeah that are like things in my head. One is the thing I want to shoot one thing that I talked to you about recently and then there's at least two more. There's a thing I wanNA do with some new material so yeah. I need to get wish. There was a way of like telling somebody else. Like even social distancing. I don't care if we sat on separate ends of their front yard but I was like. Hey they're gonNA come over here. I'm going to be there and we're GONNA work for three hours because then I would feel like they're coming over. I'm supposed to go over there and we we're not hanging out. We're just working in the same place now. We might bounce something off of each other. But it's like I don't know I almost Ne- you should try that on a zoom call. I know that's not the same thing but I wonder if seeing someone and knowing that you're not allowed in nursing maybe I don't know I'm such an in person person. I feel like if I was like. Hey I can't do zoom call that any normal person would be like all right. It's easier to bail on. Yeah I need accountability roar before we go where we love to go. As of this dropping which I believe is the twenty fifth of May work had new. No is that right. Better be our no the twenty seventh of May it'll drop on the twenty seventh of May We whereas US recording we have not done our gasser challenge. I was just I was just about to say as a recording this Daniel and I have not done it now. As of you listening to this we might. Maybe we got a special treat for you into Israel trade when the next episode the first episode in June June third. Okay we'll we can. We say we will be discussing up top the results of our gasser challenge. I would. Let's go ahead and let's go ahead and stick to that 'cause I might. I might get out there this weekend and do it. Okay do ran. I chase my daughter around the house today. And then she chased me. Were talking a total of maybe two and a half minutes. I had to sit down. I was four asked I was asked was Daniels. GonNa fuck me not seeing if we can do look look. Let's maybe we can do it. Also there is the competition of who can have the better better time I know but I also you and I and I'll just to. We're competitive on the back end more than the front end. Of course some people go into something being like. I need to know what I'm looking but you and I like once were in it and then on the back end we'll be like I need to know what worries time was. I one hundred percent it's our DNA who you are being on the back end competitive feels more than the front and it's less ego driven. Yes for legal driven people. The card is not being pulled by a trophy. I need to know the card is not being bullied by a trophy but the car is filled with two men going. Can you believe we have a cart? Look now I can't remember I should go back and listen. Maybe new remembers but did we say it was ten gases and forty five seconds. No well well what we did say and I could be wrong but I think we said five total gaspar's said one one gasser was down in back and down and down bottle down back is one gasser. So so you down back down. Eighty yards down. One hundred and sixty total yards is one gasser. We only Shit I did not. I don't think we said that because that is new. Yeah that is because I know to me Nuno alleged to me. Yeah Gasser is down back down back. Here's what I do know. Since we're making some do is what I do now. I we aren't going to be wearing the we can't get the gladiator soon on time. We're not gonNA miss get because it'd be awful to go tape it it'd be like and then it shows up. What the fuck would we do with that? Goddamn gladiator outfit. It's not being shipped. It is not essential shipping. So all I looked at it was like literally between like May Twenty Fifth and the Yes Hyun twenty fifth. So here's what you. The listener can bed on on the on the facebook page. The pimples facebook page Operated by Emily and Shanley his you can predict one. Who Do you think is going to have the better timing Mayor Daniel? Then you can pick what you think that total timing is going to be for the winter and then the third thing you can pick is. Who's outfit you liked the most because Daniel and I intend to wear as close to? What a gladiator outfit would be with stuff that we already have in our house so we will look atrociously stupid in public. Okay so back. Busting OUR ASSES PROBABLY DYING. Busting our asses running these gases so running and you running back on what people can bet on. Yeah you go to the facebook fan page The Pen Pals Group page. And you can bet on. Who Do you think is GonNa win me or Daniel okay? Then the second thing you can bet on is what do you think that winning time is going to be who can get closest to it? Sir? The same thing we do with the American gladiators thing. Yeah and then the third thing you can vote on is who thought had the better outfit. Nice seeing before Daniel. Now we're going to be essentially be wearing the same thing with these order ends but now we have to do a homemade version of exactly. So here's what I think and I have reached out to. I belong to a group of guys sixteen of us. We all have known each other forever. We won't to high school together. Most of US played football together. Couple didn't but I'm sure everybody ran..

"I'm always WANNA Daniels name to be. I you live a truth and I I I love you living some truths truths okay. Is this year two of the quarantine? It is Hope everyone is Doing safe out there. Everyone is staying Sane this is my thing. We're yeah you know how many years ago you and I met. Eleven Teen Eight Meza's cried eight years ago. You know why that you're having that response to it because time flies and my hope is that that holds true through this that lies that it'll be like wow. That was already a year ago. We started this. And we're this we're and we're and they say we're a couple of weeks from a vaccine no way. No you're saying I'm just like if time does always 'cause if if you ask me like well. How long does it feel like you? Like how would be like four or five years? There is that it which is almost like half of that amount meet ad was our first real interaction. The Montreal show we did with the scars are had we done something before we had. I'm not saying that we didn't know each other. I actually shoot the sheepdogs video before that I think you're I I really don't know. Is that the day we met door? It's definitely in that area. I think one thing I remember knowing of you for a long time but we never did anything right and we didn't really cross paths. That much hung out early on our friendship. We hung out on cabaret one night and I remember you. Were doing your daily video. That's right. Was that two thousand twelve. That was twenty twelve back. That might have been the fall. You know if anyone wants to check that out. I did a video post now. I'll post post. I think it's on video but I'll post speaking of. Let's talk about you. Posting you started hosting weekly stuff to your youtube channel officials the official Royal SCOVILL WORRY. Scoville OFFICIAL YOUTUBE DOT COM slash official. Roy scoville starting to do some youtube clips. Some standup Scott Moran and I found a lot of shows. We have shot a lot of materials since two thousand six That we've never sat down and looked at and care to do anything with and I've always wanted to figure out how to get in the game of getting clips out there to gain exposure and maybe new fans and to you know if if there's fans that want more clips to Kinda give them that thing they're asking for and we just never did it and I don't. I'm not great at. I'm not great at marketing and Promoting Myself. But here we are at a time when we can get organized and look at all this stuff and be at home and actually do it. So we're starting to post a two videos a week probably Tuesdays and Fridays. How do you just posted just posted? May I ask you a real life question please? How do you during this time? Set up when Rory works you know. That's I actually wish that that was I had a structure so you know I. I don't know that you do that. Was My question yeah. I don't know that I have been like sitting and specifically working. I think I've tried to do stuff that I don't usually do. Because outside of doing this podcast where you and I make some you know very little but we do make some add money and then doing our Patriot where we make some money off of the Subscriptions for people who are members of it. I don't know that I have other forms of income and I don't know that I've sat and totally figured out what they are or could be I'm not panicked about it just just yet so I think instead of letting my mind drift of those things. I've kind of been like well. What's the stuff that I never do? And it's really just be home and be present and you know work in the yard and do when you looking at all these shows I have like. Are you setting aside time each day till now I need to? It's great having a friend and and Co worker partner whatever you WanNa say with Scott Miranda God say and you know you've worked you've worked with and makes me work because I'm working with him so I'm like like yes Scott. Just do all this. He's doing like a fraction of the Scott Moran that I have known my entire relationship with him is a guy who without me ever bring it up at shows since two thousand six when I met him would just film my set and he would just store them and save it and I knew he was doing we watch them and sometimes I would bring something in film my set and we just have been doing that over and over and over again he would just film the set because he saw that? I improvised so much. These random moments would happen in shows that I think he started to go down this road of being like. Oh I wanNA capture these moments and we never had any purpose for them. We didn't know what we would ever do with them and now it's like he is the one that's like we should really be pushing these clips. I mean I don't know if any if any of our listeners know Andrew Schultz he is a great example of how hard you can feel of. Maybe some people might that but I'm just saying you might his example of like the work. Yeah I agree. I agree a hundred percent. I'm like Oh that that's how you get your name out there..

"It's short seems like that at least what tiger nowadays days but the funny thing too that had to be bothered him for a while and even after all of this time even after all of this time time you couldn't say nothing like don't tell me that you need wasn't bothering you during the three playoff events wanna wanna which w._b._z. m._o. Though but i don't understand what like i don't understand why you don't say anything to people like that because because now the now when you have a procedure like this and you like. I'm already walking again. Well well wait a minute. You're going to not not only. Are you supposed to play in dozo which is teddy. Whatever what's that which he said he's still he's still will but he's he keeps leaving out the part that he's playing in net little skins game free money event like that's the one we get the super paid of parents fee by getting a big old check and it just oh oh by the way happens to be at the same golf course a couple of days before the tournament star. What an amazing coincidence because you wouldn't be allowed to do it the week of the tournament. That's a no no on the p._g. Like come on man. Stop talking to me like i'm four years old like we get it all right. There are ways around the appearance fee. Knock it off but at least come out and say i hope to be good to go from skins showdown with rory which is at the same place as zo but i think now could that potentially be in jeopardy yeah potentially. It could be things like that a quick though i mean it's it's august twenty eighth eighth not for that guy no not for him and who knows what club again but i'm not here's the deal and i've been consistent with this since day. One wake me the <hes> in march with tiger. Wake me up with the players. You know wake me up when there's tangible gulf being played when major championship season comes around around with him his off season going to be so much about rest rehab and recuperation for me. The last thing i'm gonna do with tiger is start worrying until we get to april and for those that were worried item last year going in april what happened he did so he won the master's and and he was probably hung over after winning the masters which by the way catty you can help people with that not help. Oh people i have the cure the only cure and can i tell you bra that was one of the most pro segues in the history of segment that he you ruined it by acknowledging. You gotta just keep going well. No come on. That's all about the timing was saying so so people listening would have been like oh good segue but now you pointed out the joke anyway good no man. I'm gil you probably did. You not give me mad props for that sake. We never good adam adam so regardless. <hes> hangovers see now. This is turned into. Maybe one of us has one. No i know we don't you know why because we got the cure for it. It's called blowfish blowfish for hangovers. I'm telling you this product right here this. This is what this may be one of the only we we talk about a lot of things on the podcast but this is one thing that both mattie and i have used like literally have used it. It is a hangover remedy. That's it and it's the only one that's recognized as effective by the f._d._a. Okay so there you go. It's basically you take two tablets. You drop them in water and then you drink it after the fizzing stops if you don't feel better in like fifteen eighteen to twenty minutes you get your money back. Thank seriously if it doesn't work you get your money back. Well you get your money back after your hangover gets away finally which which if it takes more than twenty minutes ain't hangover that you've got this is blowfish and it works..

"Are you taking your saying is. Let's wait until something disastrous happened. When i'm saying is in traffic havoc until someone gets hit by a car or we can put a red light up now now now. Let's wait read the okay gimme a red light fix. Just told you a red light which i just told you. The red light is the guy who shoots the lowest score for the week doesn't win. Did that happen or guy like bruce. Kepco who starts. It's the beginning of the play offs in first place ends up finishing nineteenth well again. That's three over on sunday but what i'm saying i understand that all i'm saying is there are still better ways as well or you know what. Here's you wanna fix it completely. It's not the playoffs anymore. It's just the fedex cup what needs to be fixed. This worked famously. You headed dude that one the players i think he finished at the top ten of the masters he did so you're talking about a play and how to fourteenth starts. He had ten top tens and he he had a really nice year awarded for it by winning the last event now in the playoffs if you're the wildcard team. Did you have a really nice year did that. Did you back into the play i did. What has it happened that a wildcard team wins the championship. Yes jason coke wreck. Just win the tour championship that i'm not familiar with no then what's the problem. I just already told i think golf had a remarkable weekend. I think the guy completely agree with you the better you want to change. I just said i agree. That golf had an amazing weekend. Can it be better now have been better and get more people. Can it be better and get more people to tune in you had except no you can't well. Yeah put tiger in it. Thank you but as one when you have there you go. You just made the argument. Let me get this straight. You know what's an awesome ended a season a celebration of the year that doesn't didn't have the masters champion and the open channel aide huma. I'm sorry if you were you didn't you wouldn't you wouldn't want tiger woods too so let me get this straight if you make it to the tour championship you oh you qualify for the masters but if you win the masters you don't get the reciprocation okay. How about larry how you doing if you were a buttoned up in your argument you would have come up with it yourself and have to come up with him. I just did now. You threw me off a series jumping in. Let me ask you let me ask you this. What more more based on the field that we were given i just get n._b._c. have wanted at this field then getting mcelroy and kept on the final apparent on a sunday dustin johnson and what more than more than macaroni and kapka in the final you just said what more could you have gotten. You said what more and i'm telling you the if they could have gotten more. I'm not look. I'm not saying that. Here's what i think you're you're taking this like. I'm saying that this was bad. I'm not saying that it was bad. That's not what i'm saying like. I understand i understand hey yeah also it was great but you know look rory mcilroy and brooks kept in the final group and if if i throw dustin johnson and patrick read in the second last group with can i ask you thomas and like what can i say something dustin johnson. I'd have an opportunity to put himself in. The last group can't not what you asked me. Can he control. That's not what you asked me but he can control that right. That's it's not what you're just catching my crosshairs because i'm sick and tired like this. I can't stand hypothetical when when we have something that's right in front of us and that i think we do in sports all the time instead of taking what happen happen fact data in front of you reality. We always try to you know more something. That's not there or hasn't happened yet when we should you know i just.

"The now on the it's mattie and the catty here's berry and michael college. He boxed alongside the catty michael. I am the mattie happy mattie and caddy a wednesday we will we are going to do our best to get this out will not do our best time. We'll be a wednesdays and wednesday mornings late morning early afternoon as we embark on the football season and the non off-season. That is the season golf. I scheduled. It's overweight. What what kind of yeah who wants to take a two week break map but we we come to you on the first wednesday after the fedex cup championship and the pay day and perhaps one of the quietest dominant seasons we've seen out of a player in a long time and laurie mcelroy and it's kind of ironic because there is an argument argument to be made for rory winning player of the year now know brooks wanted. Both of them were one three times like if you let rory's wiens is nothing to sneeze at count gummy through the players championship in there too the only thing the only thing that's difficult i think for rory's three wins is and not to take anything away from the toward championship but especially this year in the condensed schedule. All everyone talked about that was how exhausted they were so you beat twenty nine exhausted dudes regardless of how good they are. Everybody was exhausted right but i'm saying like it's not like y- you were at your peak and everyone else was at their peak in when i talk to rory he was like i'd be lying if i didn't tell you i was popping tylenol inbetween round yeah yeah i mean but again. It's a level playing field. Everyone's like that true. It's not like sale. It's easier to beat. Twenty nine beat up dudes than one hundred fifty. Six beat beat up dudes one guy. Who's a little fresher yeah but that's the thing that's the thing with the format i mean that's the way it goes down. I mean it's it's a limitation type scenario so you know he was your big takeaway from justin thomas starting with the two you know they got lucky. I'll tell you they got lucky because you know i thought we you know we were pretty critical of the format and and most people works didn't understand it but then when when thomas thomas went out thursday and went even and then kept going at low not low three under and was it can't layer shaw flea got tied type yeah so after the first round three way tie for first and then essentially that was gone so the fact that the p._g._a. Tour in the fedex cup standings standings rebel to be nolan void after the first round that was very very fortunate for the tournament because then all the sudden you had an actual tournament. It could have been horrible. I don't man the i'll tell you what the p._g._a. Tour must have like a rainbow painted horseshoe with unicorns on it or something because does how they dodged such a bullet yeah every single time you remember a couple years ago. When paul casey could have one literally could have won the the fedex cup with a third place finish which would have been made him fedex cup champ without one win in the season and like they just dodged that bullet it was crazy but s you're kinda china. Was we understand going. You know what <hes> tiger woods man. That was awesome right. Yeah a who wanna i know yeah now. You know it wasn't tiger though but i can't believe i'm going to say this but this is actually the best format they've had and it was like that because again like you said they they had good fortune shining lean on them because look at this way rory would have won anyway if it all started if everyone would have started at even par. That's again where the tour has unicorn painted poor shoe. Is that if you went oh yeah but if everyone started at tournament of even yet rory would still won by three shut up existence exist this i it drives. I don't know i know it shouldn't drive me crazy. Put it does how lucky the tour keeps getting. What do you mean eh yeah..
