"Welcome back here on a Friday afternoon and you guys ready for this guy? Ready? Handsome Joe from red day. Yeah. I'm actually having a pretty good day. Went to Walmart got mold, James. Went and got me some drinks and kicking and grays and piggy wiggly. And finally made it on. But that's the stuff that you might not know, Paul. But when I have these late days, I record your show and I watch every minute of it in 18. You do. So I do. I do. Watch every minute of it. And you know what? It's been good because you've had a lot of colors Colin in with some good things about this and I don't think and which I think it's long past due for these college athletes to make put some money in their pockets. I mean it is. I just caused their scholarship athletes. Hey, there's people that go to college academic and they can still get a job and make money. I mean, it's just, but if you play football or basketball, you can't make no money, that don't even make sense, though. I mean, what they're doing, college, you can't afford to go get a piece of pizza. And my head just, you know, that just mount painting on that ball. But you know what? I watched the video. I don't know if you seen it, but I may have put out where he's gambling on the guitar. I have not seen the video yet. Tell us more about it. I mean, it's like almost a minute long. And he's just, you know, I know he played drone, but I didn't know he played a guitar. He usually, if you're in a band, you could probably, I mean, I would think I would think percussion would be more difficult than the guitar. Oh, idiot. It is, 'cause, you know, I'll pick a Madeleine sometime. Well, I did tell I broke it. But and the piano, you know, I think I was a little bit. Can you play any of Beethoven's sonatas on a piano? It's difficult, Paul. I'll be honest. I've been teaching myself. And when you teach yourself, it's kind of hard. Joe, I have to ask you a question, because, you know, Mark QB act, don't you Yankee that runs this show? Oh, yeah, yeah. Mark scoop. Well, he's from Rochester, New York, and he asked me, he said, did he say, guitar? Of course, anybody in the south knows it's a guitar. Yeah, it's guitar. Randy plays Lee, and I play steel guitar. Guitar. That's a country over in the Mideast, isn't it? Yeah, that's what I play in in. Yeah, life plays a guitar. In India, we'll play the guitar here. Yeah. I mean, there's a big difference. The guitar. You think anybody you think back in the day, somebody walked up to back in the early 70s, somebody walked up to Ronnie Van Zandt, saying, who is your guitar player, mister van Sant? Never been to Indy. Yeah. You know, I want to get into what you've got on the guitar. That comes with a guitar guitar. So Joe, what's on tap of the weekend now that it has arrived, hey, I got big plan just like you. Shoot. Well, first thing I'm gonna do in the morning, as soon as I get up, I'm going fishing. Fishing. And a friend of mine reminded me that Benson that we got coffee in this area too. Crappy. Oh, yeah, I remember crappy. Is that how I learned to speak? My dad used to take me. I've had a crappy week. And you know, but I'm fishing for catfish tomorrow. You got to play him, Paul. Final question here, because when you're fishing, when you're fishing for croppy, what do you put? How do you bait it? I just get out there. With my guitar and put those minutes on the hook. But the main element. And I'm having myself a weekend. Thanks for the call. Appreciate it. Kevin is in North Carolina. Hello, Kevin. Kevin. I'm telling you, I missed your calling. You should have been a comic in the catskills in the summertime. This has got to be the funniest damn show I've heard in a while. I'm still laughing from the, by the way, I may be I'm opening for Buddy Hackett at gross singers on Friday night. Well, catskills. Yeah, at least you know where they were, brother. I know the drill. I had parents from New York, but so anyway, I'm still just going to finish laughing on the boy scout thing. What did you call that? What kind of meadow would I get? I don't know what I said. Wasn't that I was in the cubs guys? What is a Pueblo? I'm sorry. I knew I got that. I mean, we're going back a few years. I mean, I knew I had that web a little badge. Well, okay. That wasn't in there. I don't know where I was in. I was a street kid, I guess, but anyway. By the way, I didn't stay long. I got your meat. Yeah, they couldn't get me into that uni. But anyway, just to clarify for that, Texas a and M gentlemen, you know, you had Jackie sherrill on here four or 5 months ago. And I think he explained it to us when you talk about, do you say in that Texas that all money that they found out there a 120, 30 years ago in West Texas. Right. That money is tax taxed in the state. You're right. And two thirds of that money goes to the University of Texas. One third goes to Texas a and M, obviously no private school in Texas gets a dime, nor do Texas tech or Houston or any of the other public schools, Texas, El Paso, they don't get a dime. So that's the money, okay? That you were talking about that he never fessed up to. Played dumb like a fox on you. But anyway, I think everybody out there knows that. But curious a way outside the box thing here. You know, this transfer Porter and the NIL, my man, nobody that you interviewed can really give nobody knows what they're talking about because it's so new and it's so crazy and it can go in so many different directions, obviously. But just a way outside the box trying to reverse engineer this. What if the Ivy League decides to go big time college football? I remember the eye relief. They won most of the national championships between 1891 college football started in the 1930. Michigan won one. By the way, I think I know where you're going. I don't think they will for this reason because I don't think the alumni of those schools care. We heard John bacon a couple of hours ago. Say that Michigan alum are not certain they want to give money to collectibles, supporting athletics. You have to understand it's a different mindset at certain places. The Ivy League being among them..

"To, Sweeney's ain't gonna read you words. So if the daily news, not The New York Times or The Wall Street Journal, we wrote stories and we told it to Sweeney. The people on the subway who maybe some of them had their names on this shirt, not their names on the building. You understand? And that was pretty much Ron Ronnie Van Zandt's philosophy. And I found out I had a lot in common with him. And I'm not this is not a startling revelation, but I love that documentary. And I do love free bird. As I've gotten older, it's become such an anthem and bills and bills. If that song is not an orgasm, I don't know what is. I've often read that Led Zeppelin's song stairway to heaven is a basically their version of an orgasm. Starts out slow and the way it gets that crescendo. And then dies down at the end. Makes sense. Free bird does the same thing. They're beautiful pieces of art. And I'm a fool for not picking it up in 1977. For not understanding the song, oh, that smell. Was it that Ronnie van zant feeling that death was around that band. And of course, they're plane crashes in 1977. He dies and four or 5 others die. And it really, it really foretold their fate, the lyrics of some of those songs. And we hear him say if I leave here tomorrow, how do you not think about the plane going down? And there's a wonderful moment that terrible moment when they got up in that rickety old plane that they figured they'd fix tomorrow, but they had to get to this gig in Louisiana. And they're playing poker and they're up at 9000 feet and then the engine cuts out. I think they were out of fuel if you could believe that. And they were going down and a spiral. And they prayed together. They didn't scream and shout like you would think rock and rollers would do. They held hands and prayed. And Ronnie van zant ran to the front of the plane and asked the pilot. Can we fly on one engine? And he looked horribly back at Ronnie like, no. We're going down. We're going to try to set this thing down in the swamp. A swamp in Mississippi. And oddly enough, Ronnie van zant, who wasn't from Mississippi, always called himself the Mississippi kid. Crazy, right? I never cared much for this story. But when you see and you hear from people who are in that plane crash and they tell you that Ronnie van zant ran to the front to talk to the pilot, then he went to the back of the plane and grabbed all his bandmates, gave them the hippie handshake and basically told him I gotta go up front. I gotta go up front. And he did, and the people up front of the people who died. And then of course, this wouldn't be complete with some kind of synchronicity happening.

Nineteen fifty two larkin allen collins junior world as alan collins one of the cofounders leonard. Skinner was born in jacksonville floored when he married his wife. Kathy johns it. Eighteen years old. She worried that the band's long hair would be offensive to her family minus nineteen seventy hippies. Were on the outs. So she made all the band members. Keep their hair under wigs at the wedding ceremony. Which can wear hats and wigs. Were shorter hair. You know it had to be noticeable. Well at the wedding reception alan collins plate at his own wedding reception and if it was not the first public performance of free. It was one of only a couple. They had not played the song to the public and at the end. The trademark extended guitar jim. That's what they did. Alan collins would go on to write free bird. Gimme three steps and that smell. He would survive the october twentieth. Nineteen seventy seven crash. That killed ronnie van zandt but he would suffer two broken vertebrae in his neck severe damage to his arm. The doctors recommended that they amputate his arm but he did and he would eventually recover their first band know the name of their first man. It was not leonard skin extra credit for a female. The one percent. That's what the band was known as our melissa. Get to it a couple of things. I wanted to make sure we got to so race in america and how it's being used coming up in the next hour we'll talk about critical race theory and how that influences public schools and how you need to root it out including a toolkit for what you can do to fight back against critical race theory in your schools as well as a conversation with a very very successful corporate executive entrepreneur author about putting your family i. His rule is before eight. Am and after six pm. He doesn't take calls or emails. He focuses on his family. And that's how he keeps his family. I in his life. That might seem like something you can't do but he argues yes. You can be bold enough to do it. And isn't the family unit worth the most we have to offer. We'll talk to him about that but first race and how it plays out in america this is a story from. Wc oh in minneapolis. saint paul. there's a black man pulled over. Who happens to be a state representative remember. This is in minnesota. He begins belligerently yelling at the officer. Who he says pulled him over simply for being black. Well it turns out. There's a video of the exchange and by the way. The license that he hands to. The officer is a wisconsin driver's license license and he's in minnesota. It's a complicated fact pattern but what it really is is an example of something. We're seeing all day every day. Now and that is blacks. From george floyd to prominent blacks and many people in between not all blacks in fact not even very many blacks but some blacks using the racecard to attempt to intimidate bully. Threaten harass. listen to this or now saying bodycam video of the traffic stop when dfl representative john thompson. Got a ticket thompson. Told the st paul officer. He is a minnesota state representative as he handed over his wisconsin's driver's license. But as as may murphy found out that's just part of the controversy mexican occurs ribs into wisconsin dead. He was july. Fourth fourth state representative john thompson had been pulled over for not having a front license plate but it turns out. There was another problem which the officer politely shared along long. So there's license suspended. In minnesota thompson said he was unaware of the suspension and throughout he accused of racial profiling profile. Look we did facing. I gotta city for driving while black that racial profiling allegation is outrage. Saint paul police chief. Todd axel who on his facebook page demanded thompson. Apologize thompson and his statement has offered no apology but did say he supports the release of the video and that the actions of the officer were quote by the book. That officer was indeed common polite throughout but this is just the first representative thompsons problems. The second is this basic question. Where does representative thompson live. Does he live in a state district as required by state law. Does he even live in the state of minnesota his address listed on a two thousand eighteen speeding ticket. In ramsey county is for superior wisconsin. The address listed on the july fourth ticket of this year. Is this saint. Paul home on blair avenue which is not in his district when he filed paperwork to run for state representative. He checked privacy box. Which is for those with orders of protection or a police report saying he'd been threatened checking the box means. He had to provide a separate form with the home address. That form is not a public document. Thompson also faces more scrutiny. The minnesota police and peace officers association wrote to wisconsin's attorney general. Asking him to investigate saying thompson had either defrauded the state of wisconsin or defrauded his constituents in the state of minnesota and dfl house speaker. Melissa horn said in a statement that she will be investigating the allegations against.

"Man. We were rafting with a family that we've become friends with here in colorado and we were rafted down the roaring for river and the dad is a football coach here at aspen. Highschool and the mom is a schoolteacher. And they have three kids of their own but they've they've graduated left the house but two of the kids join us on their adult. Kids joined us on them on the Rafting expedition and the mother said to my boys and i overheard it even those little distance away. She said our people here surprised by your manners. They didn't know what what she meant by that. And she said you never say yes. Or no you always adds sir or ma'am at the end of it and when you're asked for something you answer please. Or thank you and she said nobody here does that. Do people notice and they said i don't know but they do is amazing to me. How many people will have the briefest interaction with my children and will say they are so respectful. Will they are respectful. But you weren't around them long enough to see how respectful they truly are. You'd seat in their actions and their deeds. Those words are so important. And i don't understand why parents don't teach their children. Nobody is ever going to say. I'm offended that. You said yes sir. Instead of yes do you. Would you like a coca cola. Yes versus yes sir. It's such a simple thing and yet it must be hard because people don't do it little things like that go so far and i am shocked. How few parents teach their children these things and maybe they were never taught themselves you know when young children in the inner city starts school. Can you imagine what a difference it would make if you taught children. Hey look people are going to judge you based on your handshake. They're going to judge you based on whether you make contact. They're going to judge you based on the language you use or don't use. You could go a long way by simply learning a few life hacks stand up straight dress. If you're going for an interview dress for the job you want not the job. You have answer the question directly. Listen when someone else's talking speak in a in a tone that is respectful a few very simple things so far and instead of teaching people that everyone is racist for not hiring. You why not teach people what you need to do to get hired and be promoted and advance why not. Let's go to debbie. You're on the michael berry. Show debbie hi michael. I hope you're having a wonderful time up there and do you have cheetos. We don't have mosquitoes but on the river yesterday. There were some horse flies. But i don't know if these things were if they'd smoking dope or something usually it's hard to swat us horse la but these i was able to swap which was very rewarding but no. We haven't had any mosquitoes but it gets to about sixty five here at night. And that's i've got to tell you that beats the heck out of one hundred degree heat for me. Oh it sure does okay. I do have a question. And it's a rhetorical question. Because unless there's a whistle blower will never know but but common law and biden and. Nancy were also adamant that they would not take the vaccine. So how do we know that. It wasn't a vitamin b. Twelve shot that they got. Why did they keep wearing the mask. And why don't we hear about reactions to the to the vaccine in in the politicians like we do in the general public because they don't want you to know you're asking all the right questions. Debbie thank you for the call. You're asking all the right questions. And if we had a media that was worth its salt that had any respect from the public. They would ask these questions but of course they don't do they the house. Democrats for the state of texas posted in light of some positive cova nineteen tests over the weekend. The house democrat caught caucus has decided to go beyond cdc guidance and provide daily rapid tests for all members and staff in washington dc for this week as part of this precautionary testing today to additional members who were fully vaccinated tested positive. All of the hdc members who tested positive are feeling good with no symptoms or only mild symptoms the house democrat caucus will an asks others to respect the privacy of members and their personal health. Really you want us to respect their privacy in their personal health after you have been cramming this crap down our throats for the last year. No thanks and do you notice. Don't worry about the cova. They're just positive they don't have any symptoms. They feel fine. See there are positive case. Because now they don't need every case to be the reason that the government runs in and everybody's trying to kill each other by having the covert now these. These are nothing cases. Don't worry about these cases these are fine. You got nothing to worry about with these cases the narrative flips depending on who benefits. and it's always designed to benefit them. Jason you're on the michael berry. Show go ahead. Hey michael today is The birthday of alan collins. Founding member larkin allen collins junior right that's right one of the founders of skinner. I was fortunate recently to go. Visit the graves in jacksonville of Alan ronnie van zandt Leon wilkinson as well as Mr powell and it was nice to be able to finally go do that. You know you probably know this because it sounds like you're a true skinner fan. It is believed that if not the first then one of a handful of first performances of free bird was that alan collins wedding allen collins and alan collins and ronnie van zandt had.

So if they went back and got trained by the same guys who trained them the first time the retraining be like the regular training there. If they don't have anybody, do they? Besides the The numbers that we get reported from the CDC and government agencies and things like that. We also get emails like this from people like Steve You said you could get that shot if you want to, But my daddy is dead now. Four weeks after he got his second shot. Whoa! I'm not even considering taking that son of a well, you know what? He's not? Yeah. Steve isn't one of those just, you know. Crazy lunatics that saying stuff Steve has experienced this firsthand with his dad. Yeah, Those people are out there they exist. There's plenty of them. Leonard Skinner and singer Johnny Van Zet. Caught covered after getting Vaccinated. I'm sorry, I I thought the singer of Leonard Skinner died. They always have a singer. But the No. No, no guys. He died a long time ago from covert Ronnie Van Zandt. Dying. Same, Tommy. No, no, I get this is Leonard Skinner isn't really Leonard Skinner. No, it's the greatest tribute band that ever existed. I get it. They got the family members and maybe even what is it one or two of the original members try and go out of your way to just piss people off? No, because I don't you want to do because I know there's a lot of people listening there. Like that's not really Leonard Skinner, though I still don't wish any harm on the guy. Now. You you happy that he got covert? No, I'm not happy about it all. You don't even think you should have a job. No, but I'm just that's just rude. There's a detail there that I felt needed to be pointed out. Here's another. Actually. Candy is an, um actually, ER, um, actually, um, Here's another one. Here's another detail that needs to be pointed out. It's sad that that guy got cove it just like it said that a transgendered woman was murdered in Houston recently. But would it be saying if regular woman of a murdered two? Yes, it certainly would. Just because a transgender person got murdered doesn't mean it happened because they're transgender. I'll explain in a minute why? I said that there's overwhelming evidence that most of the transgendered people that get murdered did not necessarily get murdered because they're transgendered, right? But any time a transgendered person gets murdered. The first thing you hear is all they will highlight. Oh, they love that talking point. A black trans Gen black trans lives matter. Okay, they certainly do. But there's no epidemic of cops. Or anybody killing people because they're black. Trans Houston Police department is searching for the suspect in the killing of a transgendered woman in Houston two weeks ago. Now buried here in the article will not bury do this kind of very belong article they explain. Police say they're trying to determine if Santos was targeted because she is transgender. Now, If you read the article, she's had a chick fil A. She leaves someone she disappears, apparently ends up getting fatally shot and and that happens a lot. If you just think. Okay, What's the odds? What's the percentage is that sooner or later a trans is gonna be one Because crime is it's just out of control. So I asked somebody I wanted to know the answer to this. Why did well in most cases, why are transgenders being murdered? So you know who I asked a transgendered person who writes about this sort of Oh, my eye and what she would ever told me was in most cases. When you hear about a transgender people but person getting murdered. It's happening because of one of two reasons. Number one. It was a drug deal that went bad. Number two domestic violence They got killed by their lover to that person. Kill them because they're trans air because, But if it happened as you were leaving a chick fil A. That might have just been random. This might have been randomness might have been gang related might have been a drug deal that went bad. Who knows, But the fact that police are trying to determine if the person was murdered because she's transgender. Without even knowing who killed the person in here. Look at this. In 2020 in America, there were 44 violent killings, as if there's any other kind of killing. Why would they call it violent in the article? I don't violent killings of transgender or gender nonconforming people on Lee 44. That's remarkable. Do you know how many people got murdered in America? Lash no unknown. How many way more than that Maura than 44. Thousands of people got murdered in America last year more than that got murdered in Chicago in a month month. And none of them because they were trance. Look, I agree. It's sad that people get killed. It said. The trans people get killed. We love everybody. We don't care if you're white, black, gay Muslim. We don't care if you're Hindu. We don't care if you're transgender CIS Gender nonconforming nonbinding, ery fluid Stop it! Just stop it just making crap up now. It's weird, Billy and I get it. I'm with you, buddy. These are weird words to use. But again, we don't wish anyone any harm. But why is it if a white guy gets killed? The narrative is about how we got a band guns. If a transgender person gets killed, the narrative is what do we do to protect the transgenders? What? Maybe they should arm themselves. I don't know. It's a good idea. Yeah, it's 66. I love W J. Let's go to Louisiana. What can't we all just stand each other guilt and get over this gun thing? That's a good point Stabbings. They're so hot right now. If everybody would just stab each other. You know where they don't stab people in the neck. Well, no. I was going to say in Luke it bak, Texas. Oh, yeah, in the Mech is a different answer. Gil, What do you got, Jill? I'm here, man. I was I've always wanted to go toe. Luken, Bach, Texas and Sunday. We went there for the first time. And, uh, not sure, how did the scrawl but it was kind of a weird hippie vibe like a coffee shop and crevices, but they had a biker rally there on Saturday night before so There's a little odd, but it was cool. You know, I got the T shirt. Was there anybody there when you came? Yeah. The big crowd. Yeah. They had a couple 100 people there. Alright, Someone might have been bikers and just slept over my understanding The Willie Nelson scene, which has existed for a long time. Is. It's a combination of rednecks and hippies and bikers to the rednecks. You know, rednecks. You're going to do it, rednecks. You're going to do that mouth off a little, but generally they behave well. Hippies. They're nice guys, but they stink and they get on your nerves. And then bikers will bikers are tough guys. They could be trouble. You need those hippies. They're trouble while they can't rode around with a few 100 bikers do week and a half ago where they trouble Oh, yeah, they were trained or not. No, no, no. You need the bikers there. Keep the hippies from smarting off too much. But you need the hippies there to make everybody nice, you know, and and show the peace and love and the rednecks are just there to keep everybody down to Earth and the Cowboys quit going because well, because of what you just described too much.

"Yeah the eighty stuff was great. You know for what they were doing then. But that's not kiss. Kiss was the number one band in the world in nineteen seventy seven not nineteen eighty-seven as great as all that music is as great as all the members that came after the original four. Are you know it's just never going to be anything? But that when you think a kiss you gotta think of Nineteen Seventy seven thousand nine hundred seventy eight. Kiss around in there you know. That's what's burned into the psyche of the world you know it's it's the pop icon icon. Greg I gotTa have another drink. You know what I mean. It's the original four. It's always been the original for any original. Four era of kiss will always be the best. I gotTa agree with you young whippersnappers that got in the kids in the eighties. But I actually got in a kiss when a classmate of mine in elementary school brought the destroyer album to school and showed it to me. And said you gotTA listen to this and we went to his house after school. We turned out all the lights except for black lights. Which is something we had in. The seventies can't remember black too and we had the the black lights on with his black lives posters and put on destroyer and we had the whole Intro with the car crash and and at and I was just blown away it was like a religious experience and I remember to this day to me. Kiss is always the original four. I do love you know the Dave kept going all these years and you know more power to him and you know. I love the stuff that they had done any eighties and nineties. And and out but to me my heart is always with the original four and and they'll matter when they actually hang it up in my heart it'll still be the original four and no disrespect to Tommy there and Eric Singer You know I get the day took it on and you know. I've gotten a lot of criticism that but regardless I'm still with the original four and that's that's what I'm a fan of is the kiss of the seventies and that's unanimous Grayson gala. Wants to know. Hey man what be this. And what be that then? Why you gotTa look like that. Don't forget that part I have the I have the answer to that one because I am cool and I am the breeze that is correct. Do I get a point not yet? You haven't had a point this whole time wrong. It's just taking a while to get to them. That's true. Yeah it's just delayed. Just yeah it takes me awhile. Anyways move on are awesome friend. David Kathy wants to know. Okay this is for all of you. Name One rocker. That has left US way too soon. And what do you think they would become or not become were? They've gotten to be one of the biggest rockstars on the planet or just another average star. Well the interesting question with a lot of different angles to it tough question. I first thing that comes to mind. Is Eric Carr? He's the one who left too soon and I don't think he would still be in kiss. I think he would have left the band. Because there's a lot of tension there when he left and I'm GONNA say he would've wound up maybe playing for like four ner or a band like that but I still think he'd be out there drumming today if he were still around if he was still around. You think kiss would've how would the hall of fame of Gone? Down if air car still alive the same Because because the people that are in charge of the hall of Famer clueless assholes continued to say what has to be the original band. It had been the same treatment that Bruce culet got. Oh yeah because the fucking aluminum again. Yeah of course that Damn Aloma Nadi all right Ron. What do you think Like I said that is a very good but tough question because you know. I agree with Chris. My first and foremost thought was Eric Car. Because that's that's the one that really strikes deep with losing way too soon but I also agree with him that he would be a hired gun. I in some other band and add. So he wouldn't be a legend per se but he would still be drumming as far as you know him talking about a legends like comes to mind like Janice Joplin Jim Morrison Jimi Hendrix. People like that that were gone too soon. I really don't think that You know especially Jim Morrison Janice Joplin and that would have went on to become bludgeoned. I think they're they're pretty much legends because they died so young. I'll probably get a lot of flak for saying but know I. I don't know they would have continued on into their Sixties seventies and add that they would of been what they what they are today because of dying young Jimi Hendrix might have been the one that would went on to do better things. I really wish some people would have went on to to put out more music and they were gone too soon. Of course Randy RHOADS COMES TO MIND. He would have probably been been a legend and don a lot more things. I also think about Like the members of Leonard Skinner Ronnie Van Zandt and the others that that died in a plane crash because Leonard. Skinner was never the same after that. And they may have put out some more great music that would've stood the test time and and would have enabled them to move onto where they're pretty much stuck in the seventies and add of what what they did before the plane crash gail the the same can be said about Batta lot of people Ronnie James Dio. Jani Lane. The list goes on of what they could've contributed to do. Put out if they would've lived long enough. And you know it is a shame that the a lot of them died too young. Ron You bring up awesome point about the classic bands late the Janice Joplin Jimi Hendrix. The the Jim Morrison. What would Jim Morrison what? What kind of music would he have been creating in the eighties? What would he have been doing when hard rock and metal was king what he had tried to do something like that or would have been completely different and there's no denying that the door is definitely did sell a lot more albums? After Jim Morrison died then when he was alive and they were damn popular when he was alive. But you always gotta wonder you know what what would they have? Come out with especially when you think of like Morrison specially Jimi Hendrix what would Jimi Hendrix done? Going into the semis into the eighties. What kind of music would he ben? Creating? It's it's almost mind-blowing the wonder what that would have been like. That's Kinda what I'm saying that you know all have is what they had put out before they died. And you know I don't know how the doors or Janice Joplin or people like that. How well they would have been able to transition into in the late seventies and an AIDS and now with the musical climate of what they could have been able to put out. Unfortunately we'll never know whether they could have put out Great stuff and being able to transition into the eighties and so forth or whether they were to burn out and I'll just been average and Bene- footnote our something by you know unfortunately will will never know whether they they could have been the biggest stars on the planet is he put it and or whether they would have been average and just kind of going off of what they did in the late sixties and early seventies you know speaking of rock legends that we lost. I mean we just got the word today that Little Richard Dying. Yeah let a big loss because I definitely I. I saw one of the greatest things was like even gene Simmons posted about it and you know like some people say a little Richard was the king of the real king of rock and roll break He meant that little Richard and re little Richard Corrected Says No. I'm the architect of rock and roll which I think is pretty fitting. That's damn true you know and I was thinking about little rich thinking man. That guy was way ahead of it and also right on time at the same time. Yeah that is a shame. It's it's really tough nowadays that we're losing a lot of our legends. It just time and everybody is getting older but You know we're losing our our legends and Little Richard. I love her little Richard and you know he did of of a lot you know pioneered the rock and roll that we know today and and and is really shame that we did lose him but unfortunately we're losing a lot of 'em yeah and like a natural resources. Kinda sucks because we're not replenishing them we're losing a LOT OF ROCK LEGENDS. But we're not getting any new ones to take their place. Yeah that's for sure. All right guys ready to move on to say you still with US Chris. I'm still here okay. One of our favorite people in the entire world courtney. Cronin dulled got a question. She wants Courtney I love you all right move on. We'll lip sinking make a comeback. So people don't spit on microphones from seeing for real told her to ask Paul Stanley. Yeah I think lip. Synching is definitely going to become more prevalent because it'll be so much harder to tell when somebody's lip synching because they're wearing a face mask that's pretty well said all right nice when corn wearing a face mask right now. So I don't spit on the mic around one of the worst things I've ever smelled in my entire life was one of those spit guards on a microphone at the Radio Station. I worked at. You aren't kidding. That's is the worst. Yeah the smell of a well used microphone is one of the grossest things in the world flutters. My stomach a little bit just thinking back to that time and that was like twenty years ago. Drank some more yeager. Ron Just snippy his own. Microphone right all right Keith. Rockford wants to know who lease move on. Keith Rockford wants to know thoughts on Saigon kick. My belief is they didn't fit in either rock metal or alternative at the time and got overlooked killer band. That got lumped in with other rock bands because of their ballad. That's that's that's pretty spot on percent. Yeah Yeah I mean love is on. The way was their calling card hated the song. It was their big hit but it really didn't reflect the rest of the band's catalog and I mean I think you know the first Saigon kick record and then also I love the water record that that Bieler did as the singer I i. You know. There's a lot of great stuff there. But Yeah I mean. They got lumped in with a hairband. Thing is love is on the way. I mean whether you like it or not. It's a hairband hair. Power Ballad. I mean easily. Yeah my good friend Jason. Back in the day had the CD. Or I am bank setback then of the Lizard. And he's like all you gotta check out this band and I'm like yeah I already heard that on. Mtv IT sucks. I don't want nothing to do with it. I heard the song. And it's like no. No you gotTA check it out. I was like no. This is another one of them bands. It's not for me. It's for the ladies and he's he was persistent. He's like no. You've got to listen to the whole album. And then he played it and I was like Holy Shit. Love is on. The way is by far the worst song on this album and the rest of it is just killer now. I was deceived. They didn't want me to be a fan but I became fan anyway. I agree with you guys that I was not a big Fan I think power ballads really killed a lot of bands or put them in a category of where their most popular songs were these power ballads and they did so much more rocking music other than that and because of that. I was not a not a fan of Saigon kick. I did not hear much of anything other than love is on the way and I hated that song and I'll plug the decimal Tv again that. I got to to me Jason Bieler and he is such an awesome guy and so funny along with Jeff Scott. Soto and they did an acoustic concert here in Denver and they were such great guys and that was another concert that even though it was acoustic it blew me away and when chasing played a lot of the Saigon kick songs it gave me a new appreciation and I had to go back and listen to some of the old Saigon kick albums especially the Lizard and there was some rocking tunes on that had definitely didn't reflect the the love is on the way a ballot that that came out they had some hocken tunes on that and you know so. I am again a big fan of Saigon kick because of of that show and meeting Jason and and add so yeah I gotta Say I'm I love Saigon kick and and they are definitely not should not be pigeonholed into what they're popular power. Ballad Song was which is the case with a lot of the the eighties. Man's yeah do not judge. Saigon kick by love is on the wages like judge extreme by that saw. What was their song more than words? Just DON'T ENOUGH SYNOPSIS ON. Fly High Michelle so many them bands fell into that trap. Well that was what was was certainly popular. And you know tons of bands..

It was exactly the way that you hear it in its original recording most often, I think they did an acoustic version of this or that along the way, but they executed those songs perfectly because they believe that's what the fan expects. Don't don't do a different version. You know, I didn't know Skinner did the same thing. Yeah. Right. The the the thing that was amazing about skit maybe not today. But when Ronnie van Zandt was there, they said every single note you thought because they would go into these wild versions. I said no every single song was the same every single show that they ever played every note was the same. And I forgot who their manager was I can't think of the name of it the famous the famous producer who said a bloom away. He said he couldn't believe it. He said every single show is they had it down. They come in the studio. It was done. Exactly. Right. Every single time. And he just didn't think they could lender. It's going to this other rock band e party guys. How the most disciplined band you ever want to see right? So. Yeah. But there you go. But I just I had mentioned about the social media thing because it got me over this weekend. And I just don't pay a lot of attention to sports, social, media and music social media. But when I saw over the weekend, I went, wow. They get more insane than political social media at times. Yeah.
